## Transcript

[0:03] Speaker 1: So you've made it through three hours of the regular
[0:06] Speaker 1: show on terrestrial radio, and you.
[0:08] Speaker 2: Wanted a little bit more.
[0:09] Speaker 1: So that's why you found the.
[0:10] Speaker 2: Gun Talk After Show podcast.
[0:11] Speaker 3: Where we saved all the best things that we can't
[0:14] Speaker 3: say on regular radio. Now here's Tom, Michelle and Jim
[0:17] Speaker 3: for the gun Talk after Show.
[0:21] Speaker 2: After show time. We've got Jim Kenzie and Tom Henning
[0:25] Speaker 2: is joining us today.
[0:26] Speaker 4: Oh Tom, and I'm still not Michelle.
[0:29] Speaker 2: Well there you go, and neither are we. So it
[0:31] Speaker 2: works out. Okay, she's off doing probably fun things. Of course,
[0:36] Speaker 2: you just can't perry time. So who knows she maybe
[0:38] Speaker 2: you'll be doing that again.
[0:40] Speaker 3: Yeah, well, well now I'm jealous.
[0:42] Speaker 1: I know next week I got no call screener. Uh,
[0:45] Speaker 1: where's time?
[0:46] Speaker 2: All right, Tom's with Michelle. I can't perry.
[0:50] Speaker 1: Okay, Tom's got other plans we'll talk about off here.
[0:54] Speaker 3: I think you'll appreciate.
[0:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well let's do this. Billy's been on
[0:58] Speaker 2: hole for way too long and let's get over there. Hey, Billy,
[1:01] Speaker 2: thank you for holding what's on your mind.
[1:03] Speaker 5: Yes, third time caller to gun Talk. I'm retired law
[1:09] Speaker 5: enforcement and back. I've been retired thirty two years this
[1:12] Speaker 5: fast Friday, but anyway, carry every day, different different scenarios.
[1:19] Speaker 5: But I have two I have two wafer P twenty
[1:23] Speaker 5: two's that are identical except for one of them. On
[1:26] Speaker 5: top of the right slide, it's got P twenty.
[1:28] Speaker 2: Two c A.
[1:30] Speaker 5: I don't know what the CJ stands for. That's why
[1:32] Speaker 5: I'm calling. I was told it stands for California. So
[1:36] Speaker 5: if it does, I'm just going to throw this gun
[1:37] Speaker 5: into ocean and good. So I thought I would call
[1:44] Speaker 5: the expert just to see what you've got to say.
[1:47] Speaker 2: You know, that was my first guess, is you know
[1:50] Speaker 2: there is a handgun roster in California and a gun,
[1:55] Speaker 2: a handgun has to be approved by California to be
[1:58] Speaker 2: sold there. And I am guessing maybe this is a
[2:03] Speaker 2: version of that gun that is approved to be sold
[2:06] Speaker 2: to California, and they stamp it that way because if
[2:09] Speaker 2: they look, here's the weird part. If they go back
[2:11] Speaker 2: and change anything on the gun, it falls off the
[2:13] Speaker 2: roster again. They choose a different kind of part, different finish,
[2:17] Speaker 2: different color. I mean, it's so insane. So I'm guessing
[2:21] Speaker 2: that probably they've kind of locked in all the features
[2:24] Speaker 2: and they say this is the California version.
[2:27] Speaker 3: Yep, good old California. I know way you could keep
[2:31] Speaker 3: it if you wanted.
[2:32] Speaker 1: Billy, just tell your buddies that stands for consumes ammal
[2:37] Speaker 1: and everybody wins. That's right.
[2:44] Speaker 5: I appreciate it, and gentlemen, I appreciate shall You'll have
[2:46] Speaker 5: a great.
[2:47] Speaker 2: Day likewise, all right, thank you appreciate that. All right? So, uh,
[2:53] Speaker 2: the story of the day, and once again the current
[2:56] Speaker 2: events trumps everything else. We did not know that today
[3:00] Speaker 2: we were going to be talking about some guy stopping
[3:03] Speaker 2: a mass shooting in the parking lot of an in
[3:06] Speaker 2: and out burger in Idaho and taking on a guy
[3:08] Speaker 2: with an ar when he has not only a pistol,
[3:11] Speaker 2: but an unusual one of five point seven by twenty
[3:14] Speaker 2: eight with a suppressor on it.
[3:18] Speaker 3: Oh cool, oh cool.
[3:20] Speaker 2: And the pictures are all over the internet of this guy.
[3:22] Speaker 2: And now we know his name, Jordan Salinas, and.
[3:27] Speaker 1: We want to give an adaboy too, but we're gonna
[3:30] Speaker 1: wait to we get all the details.
[3:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, and I did reach out to him and said, look,
[3:35] Speaker 2: you'd be welcome on the show. I think he probably
[3:38] Speaker 2: are showing really good smarts in not responding, because frankly,
[3:43] Speaker 2: if I'm him, I'm not talking to the media, yep,
[3:46] Speaker 2: not now, No, no, let just let this thing settle
[3:49] Speaker 2: down and figure. I mean, he's still talking to the
[3:50] Speaker 2: cops and attorneys and everything else on this deal. So
[3:53] Speaker 2: and the other part of it is, and I have
[3:56] Speaker 2: seen conflicting reports. I don't know if he got hurt
[3:59] Speaker 2: in the middle of all this thing. Wonderforts that he'd
[4:02] Speaker 2: been shot, and others say he wasn't shot at all.
[4:04] Speaker 2: So I don't know what's going on there either.
[4:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, well maybe both. Maybe he was shot, but he
[4:09] Speaker 1: wasn't shot. Tom, you know, reliable these initial reports.
[4:12] Speaker 2: Well it's on the internet, so it's got to be
[4:14] Speaker 2: right either way, that's right.
[4:16] Speaker 1: So, oh yeah, I had a tacky question to ask
[4:20] Speaker 1: you about the five to seven.
[4:21] Speaker 3: Alright, this is this deeply personal time.
[4:25] Speaker 1: A very good buddy of mine passed away about three
[4:27] Speaker 1: weeks ago, and that was what he carried, a five seven,
[4:30] Speaker 1: And we always used to tease him about it, but we're.
[4:32] Speaker 3: Can I shoot it?
[4:34] Speaker 2: Of course?
[4:34] Speaker 1: And yeah, and the recoil obviously super manageable, but man,
[4:40] Speaker 1: the crack is just out of the right frequency and
[4:44] Speaker 1: volume that it hurts. I mean, use your protection anyway.
[4:47] Speaker 1: But you know what I'm saying, it's got to sound.
[4:50] Speaker 2: Twenty two undred feet per second. I mean it is
[4:53] Speaker 2: very fast bullet basically going rifle speeds out of a
[4:58] Speaker 2: short pistol barrel. So it's happening right in front of
[5:01] Speaker 2: your face. So yeah, it's it's loud, and it's one
[5:04] Speaker 2: of those you already do want to think about doubling
[5:06] Speaker 2: up your hearing protection.
[5:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, and I just met his family, this guy who passed,
[5:10] Speaker 1: and it's like, do I reach out to him? You know,
[5:14] Speaker 1: the family doesn't shoot, the father's handling his affairs. It
[5:18] Speaker 1: just seems kind of tacky. Say, you know, I understand
[5:21] Speaker 1: your morning and you're grieving right now, and however, how
[5:25] Speaker 1: does this affect me? And I don't want to be
[5:26] Speaker 1: tacky and stuff, but I would love to have it,
[5:28] Speaker 1: just not to for the sake of just having five seven,
[5:30] Speaker 1: but have my buddy's gone.
[5:32] Speaker 2: But I don't think if there's anything wrong with that.
[5:34] Speaker 2: I think I think you're just going to say it's
[5:36] Speaker 2: exactly what you said. His look, not trying to get
[5:39] Speaker 2: into it. I know you're still dealing with everything, but
[5:42] Speaker 2: when you're ready to, if you're going to be selling
[5:45] Speaker 2: or getting rid of those guns. There's one that I
[5:48] Speaker 2: would be particularly interested in. And my guess is the
[5:52] Speaker 2: response you're going to get it would be one of two.
[5:55] Speaker 2: One's going to be we're not there yet, we'll let
[5:57] Speaker 2: you know. Any other may bee Well, that would be
[6:00] Speaker 2: great because we're really not sure. The other thing you
[6:02] Speaker 2: can do let me throw another.
[6:04] Speaker 3: Thought, offered it with the whole collection.
[6:06] Speaker 2: Yes exactly, you say, Look, if you guys are not
[6:09] Speaker 2: at the guns, I can help with that. Be happy
[6:13] Speaker 2: to help. And in the process, there is one I'd
[6:16] Speaker 2: be interested in, just to let you know. You know,
[6:19] Speaker 2: we'd be talking at fair market value whatever that is,
[6:22] Speaker 2: and that's key. Yeah, and just that I'm not trying
[6:24] Speaker 2: to take advantage of anything. But if there's a way
[6:26] Speaker 2: I can help with this, because you know that it is.
[6:29] Speaker 2: If you're not a gun person, it's bewildering. You don't
[6:31] Speaker 2: know what to do, and somebody is probably going to
[6:34] Speaker 2: be coming along if they haven't already, and say, hey,
[6:36] Speaker 2: I'll make you an offer on all those guns at once. Yes,
[6:42] Speaker 2: happens all the time.
[6:44] Speaker 1: Well, and and if you know the short side of
[6:47] Speaker 1: it is all that happens, I'd turn them over to
[6:49] Speaker 1: a Dirty's or something.
[6:50] Speaker 3: Everybody wins there.
[6:51] Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, it'd be fine, and yeah, Dury's is
[6:54] Speaker 2: a great option. And in the process you can say, well,
[6:56] Speaker 2: look when whoever it is, if Drury says this is
[7:00] Speaker 2: the value we'd give you for it, and you say, yeah,
[7:03] Speaker 2: I'll give you that, you don't have to do that,
[7:04] Speaker 2: if that's okay with you, guys, Just so I could
[7:06] Speaker 2: have this gun that belonged to my body, that's okay.
[7:11] Speaker 2: I appreciate you being tactful and sensitive. At the same time.
[7:15] Speaker 2: You may find that they actually find it to be helpful.
[7:18] Speaker 1: Okay, I'll give it a shot, and it's just so
[7:20] Speaker 1: I can have some part that's tack you to it.
[7:23] Speaker 1: I could still say, you know, because that's their tradition.
[7:26] Speaker 1: I could say, you'll help you out with the collection
[7:28] Speaker 1: of it, but the least you could do is buy
[7:29] Speaker 1: me a suppressor to fit the damn thing.
[7:31] Speaker 3: Come on, because.
[7:32] Speaker 2: It's so loud. That's right. But now we're hearing that
[7:37] Speaker 2: suppressures are coming down in price significantly, so that's really good.
[7:41] Speaker 3: I didn't know they made three D suppressors till today.
[7:43] Speaker 2: Oh yeah. The Actually, here's the crazy part. The very
[7:47] Speaker 2: best suppressures being made now are three D printed.
[7:50] Speaker 3: Really, huh because long last they.
[7:54] Speaker 2: Well, partly, but mostly it's because they can do all
[7:57] Speaker 2: sorts of crazy exotic designs in the baffles chamber three
[8:02] Speaker 2: D printing that they can't do other ways.
[8:04] Speaker 3: Huh.
[8:05] Speaker 2: So they're doing all kinds of swirly things with the
[8:08] Speaker 2: gases to slow down the gases and doing all this
[8:11] Speaker 2: crazy stuff.
[8:12] Speaker 1: Turbo charge that truck years, that'd be great.
[8:18] Speaker 2: That's what you do, is like a massive three D
[8:20] Speaker 2: printed muffler for your truck. Here it's only like the
[8:24] Speaker 2: nine thousand dollars for the muffler.
[8:25] Speaker 3: Sure, but it's one of a kind.
[8:28] Speaker 2: But yeah, they're doing three D printing of some pretty
[8:31] Speaker 2: exotic metals for suppressures, and a lot of the very
[8:34] Speaker 2: best ones are three D printed now. Huh.
[8:37] Speaker 3: See see what I learned on gun talk.
[8:39] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and you know, I just make all this
[8:41] Speaker 2: stuff up. It's okay, sure, of course, not a problem
[8:44] Speaker 2: at all.
[8:44] Speaker 3: All right, we're talking truck guns. We're doing that after break.
[8:49] Speaker 2: That was just hold at the break. But I do
[8:51] Speaker 2: want to before we go to the break, I do
[8:52] Speaker 2: want to talk just a little bit about this idea
[8:56] Speaker 2: of I'm kind of borrowing from Jordan Salinas in Twin Falls.
[9:03] Speaker 2: It appears at this point he is the perfect example
[9:06] Speaker 2: of somebody who has taken this seriously and made it
[9:08] Speaker 2: a part of his life, understanding as we all do
[9:11] Speaker 2: that we will probably never need this, It'll probably never happen,
[9:16] Speaker 2: and I'm just gonna be that guy that people talk
[9:18] Speaker 2: about of, Yeah, he's always thinking about this and doing this,
[9:21] Speaker 2: and then when it happens, they go, wow, that's great.
[9:23] Speaker 2: You know, he he was ready to you know when
[9:25] Speaker 2: it happened, going, Yeah, he didn't just decide that day
[9:29] Speaker 2: to be ready. He decided years ago to be ready.
[9:33] Speaker 1: Yeah, And I wonder if you check you is the
[9:35] Speaker 1: left already demonizing him while he was just trying to
[9:38] Speaker 1: be a show off, a hero, while your friend's all
[9:41] Speaker 1: sat around shooting video.
[9:42] Speaker 3: Uh great, we.
[9:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, when they see the videos that he has posted
[9:47] Speaker 2: of himself training, there will be those on both sides
[9:51] Speaker 2: of the gun issue who will say, oh, he's one
[9:53] Speaker 2: of those cosplayers. He's an alarmer, he's a pretender, he's
[9:57] Speaker 2: a you know, I want to be he's a prepper,
[9:59] Speaker 2: he's whatever. Because you know, and partly it's because they
[10:03] Speaker 2: don't do that. They don't prepare, and people who don't
[10:06] Speaker 2: prepare like to make fun of people who do. And
[10:09] Speaker 2: I think it's primarily because those of us who prepare
[10:13] Speaker 2: make them feel inadequate, because they realize, in their heart
[10:16] Speaker 2: of hearts they should be doing it and they're not.
[10:20] Speaker 2: And the only way to make themselves feel okay about
[10:22] Speaker 2: that is to somehow detegrate and make fun of people
[10:25] Speaker 2: who are preparing.
[10:26] Speaker 1: Right, and all this time, you thought denial is just
[10:28] Speaker 1: another river in Egypt.
[10:31] Speaker 2: Here we go, all right, hold that thought, or police
[10:35] Speaker 2: don't while break a natural.
[10:38] Speaker 6: U from the range to the field. CZ firearms are
[10:46] Speaker 6: built to perform when it counts. Known for accuracy, durability,
[10:51] Speaker 6: and reliability. CZ stands apart, CZ built for those who
[10:55] Speaker 6: demand more CZ Firearms dot Com.
[11:07] Speaker 2: Okay, so today we had the ultimate call about a
[11:12] Speaker 2: truck gun. Did you catch the reference of the guy
[11:15] Speaker 2: who had the full auto fifty cows who wants to
[11:21] Speaker 2: mount it on his truck?
[11:22] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[11:25] Speaker 2: We you know, there's just a world of problems you
[11:27] Speaker 2: can solve with a full auto fifty BMG.
[11:30] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I a dedicated geep or pickup truck for
[11:33] Speaker 1: that that's.
[11:35] Speaker 3: All you'd use it for.
[11:36] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm thinking those of us who can't afford
[11:40] Speaker 2: a fifty cow or run one or yeah, another way
[11:46] Speaker 2: to go out of your the top of your jeep
[11:49] Speaker 2: or something would be a forty five seventy gutling gun.
[11:53] Speaker 3: Oh oh, now we're talking.
[11:56] Speaker 2: Ah, you guys would like that.
[11:58] Speaker 3: You have the price to shoot a third the price maybe.
[12:01] Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, and not a machine gun, no, NFA. Right,
[12:04] Speaker 2: and you just sit up there and crank that thing.
[12:09] Speaker 2: You're lobbing great big old bullets out there.
[12:12] Speaker 3: Have you seen the desktop twenty two versions of those?
[12:15] Speaker 2: They are just adorable, aren't they.
[12:17] Speaker 1: You're cute, cute and functioning, that's the beautiful and functioning.
[12:21] Speaker 2: And then they've got a nine milimeter version that takes
[12:23] Speaker 2: block magazines. So you put the drum mets in there. Yeah,
[12:28] Speaker 2: drum two drum mags and there you got one hundred
[12:30] Speaker 2: rounds of nine and you're just cranking this thing off
[12:33] Speaker 2: and having a great old timeue kind of galling gun.
[12:35] Speaker 2: Yeah on a gallon guns. People look at it and go,
[12:39] Speaker 2: that's just stupid to go. Yeah, and your point is.
[12:43] Speaker 1: And explain to Tom Hennick, please, if you would tell
[12:45] Speaker 1: us the Wyatt isn't considered Folatto.
[12:49] Speaker 2: Only goes bang one time when you pull the trigger
[12:53] Speaker 2: for each bar Yeah, for each barrel. So you push
[12:56] Speaker 2: it forart it goes to a bang. Now you've got
[12:58] Speaker 2: to basically cock it and go to the next arl.
[13:00] Speaker 2: So it is not full oft the it's not a
[13:02] Speaker 2: machine gun. And so you can own a gatling gun, which,
[13:07] Speaker 2: by the way, they do make a forty five seventy
[13:10] Speaker 2: gatling gun. You can buy one now, but they're about
[13:12] Speaker 2: fifty grand.
[13:13] Speaker 3: Oh what kind of deal could we get on a
[13:15] Speaker 3: half a dozen?
[13:16] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I like this idea. We'll get a bulk rate.
[13:20] Speaker 3: They're gonna save us eleven hundred bucks a piece. Greshing,
[13:22] Speaker 3: Come on, you and your buddies, we can do it. Yeah.
[13:25] Speaker 2: We we always need a quarter of a million dollars.
[13:27] Speaker 4: Put that, sure, put that in my jeep and I'm
[13:30] Speaker 4: ready for the Mad Max remake.
[13:32] Speaker 3: There you go.
[13:33] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm liking it. Yeah. The other thing is you
[13:36] Speaker 2: got to have a second person because you can't drive
[13:38] Speaker 2: and shoot that at the same time.
[13:40] Speaker 4: Here old well, yeah, we'll find out, won't we.
[13:45] Speaker 2: Well, whatever you do, slap some GoPros all over that thing,
[13:48] Speaker 2: because we want video of the whole thing happened. Oh yeah,
[13:51] Speaker 2: like a truck guns. That's right. We were going there
[13:54] Speaker 2: and then we took a little side trip, you know
[13:56] Speaker 2: which or what's that? A chicken? It's like, ok, coral.
[14:01] Speaker 2: So what do you think trug guns? Where are you
[14:03] Speaker 2: going with that?
[14:03] Speaker 1: I've got mine, I sent it to you early, and
[14:05] Speaker 1: I think it's ideal in so many ways. A three
[14:08] Speaker 1: hundred blackout Subsonic Ammo suppressed foldable stock mag fed ar
[14:16] Speaker 1: style mag fed lever action.
[14:20] Speaker 3: Think about it?
[14:23] Speaker 2: Do you want?
[14:23] Speaker 3: Do you want the picture? Do you want? Do you want?
[14:25] Speaker 2: With a lever action, you get a fixed breach, so
[14:29] Speaker 2: you get a quieter, much quiet rig yep, okay.
[14:35] Speaker 1: Mag fad because most lever actions hold you know, five
[14:38] Speaker 1: to seven ten minutes.
[14:39] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. So you could get you know, fifteen
[14:41] Speaker 2: twenty in there, and lever action, well, not as fast
[14:45] Speaker 2: as a semi auto, is pretty close if you work
[14:49] Speaker 2: with it and learn how to run.
[14:51] Speaker 1: And the minor sound that you're going to hear of
[14:53] Speaker 1: the action cycling. You know, we're assuming this is we're
[14:57] Speaker 1: talking not every gunfight's twenty one feet, right, We're talking
[15:01] Speaker 1: to have something that can reach out if you need
[15:03] Speaker 1: to and a blackout, although it's not as good as
[15:05] Speaker 1: like a three or eight or something.
[15:07] Speaker 3: It's what one hundred and twenty five yard gun.
[15:09] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he's easy for the subsigning. And the other
[15:12] Speaker 2: thing is the sound of the lever being worked is
[15:16] Speaker 2: a covered up by the sound of the guy who
[15:19] Speaker 2: got shot going out right.
[15:23] Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's so negligible at that distance you
[15:25] Speaker 1: probably wouldn't hear it anyway.
[15:26] Speaker 2: It's nothing exactly.
[15:28] Speaker 1: And the difference between you know, an AR style, which
[15:31] Speaker 1: is you know, recycling reciprocating action, you've got you know
[15:35] Speaker 1: that that fixed breach is putting all the gases out
[15:38] Speaker 1: the front, not the blow by like you'd have like
[15:40] Speaker 1: on a cylinder gap on a revolver. You lose a
[15:42] Speaker 1: lot of You can suppress a revolver, but you don't
[15:44] Speaker 1: make them anywhere near as quiet as a three hundred
[15:47] Speaker 1: with in a lever.
[15:48] Speaker 3: They're just.
[15:51] Speaker 2: We're straining at gnats here because the only reason you
[15:54] Speaker 2: would be using that is that somebody is out there
[15:57] Speaker 2: shooting people. So there's already a lot of noise going on.
[16:01] Speaker 2: Nobody's gonna hear your action, Oh yes, or anything out,
[16:03] Speaker 2: So I like it. I think it's worthwhile.
[16:09] Speaker 1: You didn't use a three dollar word like pedantic, though
[16:12] Speaker 1: it is pretty pedantic.
[16:13] Speaker 2: It is that, you know. So no, I like it.
[16:18] Speaker 2: Uh now we got to go look up and see
[16:20] Speaker 2: who's making one.
[16:21] Speaker 3: Yeah, they and they are made.
[16:23] Speaker 1: They are made in lover Actions in three hundred blackout
[16:28] Speaker 1: and I saw one the other day. And to tell
[16:29] Speaker 1: you the brand, I have no clue.
[16:31] Speaker 2: But yeah, that's that's not a bad choice. I kind
[16:35] Speaker 2: of like it. I like the idea of the folding stock.
[16:38] Speaker 2: I've been looking at folding stock guns of various types.
[16:42] Speaker 2: The other one I have that I haven't even actually
[16:44] Speaker 2: pressed into service is the Ruger ME fourteen with the
[16:48] Speaker 2: eighteen folding stock on it.
[16:50] Speaker 3: M two two three gun, yep, two two three.
[16:54] Speaker 2: You could also, of course, you could do a similar
[16:57] Speaker 2: thing with folding stock rs, you know, even all the
[17:00] Speaker 2: way up to three eights or six five creedmores.
[17:03] Speaker 1: But you know, I kind of like you's suppressive, right,
[17:06] Speaker 1: I'm just assuming you could.
[17:08] Speaker 2: Or a pistol cali or car beam like Ruger's got
[17:11] Speaker 2: that in a ten milimeter.
[17:14] Speaker 3: PC in ten yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a.
[17:18] Speaker 2: Real honest hundred yard gun hits hard at one hundred yards,
[17:21] Speaker 2: and it's fairly small, fairly light. You get like two
[17:25] Speaker 2: twenty or thirty round magazines with it, and you know,
[17:29] Speaker 2: and put a can on it. Not a bad way
[17:31] Speaker 2: to go.
[17:32] Speaker 3: What about you, Henny, any ideas truck gun.
[17:34] Speaker 4: You both obviously put way more thought into this than
[17:37] Speaker 4: I have. But just off the top of my head,
[17:41] Speaker 4: I've always preferred the AK platform.
[17:43] Speaker 2: Man, Oh yeah, nothing wrong with that. And you can
[17:46] Speaker 2: get folding stock a RS or AK yep. I like that,
[17:52] Speaker 2: you know, the AK platform. It's just it's not a
[17:56] Speaker 2: bad answer for most questions on these things. Really.
[17:59] Speaker 4: Sure, they're easily handled, and I have never seen one
[18:03] Speaker 4: jam ever.
[18:05] Speaker 2: True, they just about don't jam. And yeah, I like it.
[18:11] Speaker 2: And the cartridge is definitely powerful enough to do whatever
[18:14] Speaker 2: you needed to do out at several hundred yards if
[18:16] Speaker 2: you need that. And they're relatively accurate, some of more
[18:20] Speaker 2: so than others. But again, you're probably not shooting at
[18:23] Speaker 2: three or four hundred yards. You're probab shooting inside one
[18:25] Speaker 2: hundred yards most likely.
[18:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, And like the battle between nine million forty five,
[18:31] Speaker 1: which one's better, or ak's versus AR, it seems everybody
[18:34] Speaker 1: has their opinion on those two.
[18:36] Speaker 3: Hell, yes, we're going to take your AR fifteen, your
[18:39] Speaker 3: AK forty seven.
[18:44] Speaker 2: Poor Bato, he has just melted into insignificance at this point.
[18:53] Speaker 2: I love it.
[18:55] Speaker 4: Who was the one that said they had PTSD from
[18:57] Speaker 4: firing the AR fifteen It was so powered.
[19:01] Speaker 2: Somebody else shoulder and yeah, it's like the terrible noise
[19:06] Speaker 2: and hurt his shoulder and all that, thinking, what a
[19:08] Speaker 2: liar you are?
[19:10] Speaker 3: Seven year old girl shoots it.
[19:12] Speaker 4: Yeah, she said, here's a two two three, here's a
[19:14] Speaker 4: three eight. Yeah, here's me shooting both.
[19:18] Speaker 3: Yeah, that was good.
[19:22] Speaker 2: Time. I like the AK option there. That's not bad
[19:25] Speaker 2: at all. It's there's nothing in war wrong with that.
[19:28] Speaker 3: Plus they're now as common as the AAR.
[19:30] Speaker 1: So if it was like true Armageddon and your buddy's
[19:33] Speaker 1: like I need a MAGS, you're out of luck, brother.
[19:35] Speaker 4: The AMMO is so readily available too.
[19:38] Speaker 3: Yeah everywhere.
[19:39] Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, Tom, do you have an a K?
[19:42] Speaker 4: I have another member of the Kalishnikov family. It's called
[19:46] Speaker 4: an RpK. It's got a it's it's an a K
[19:49] Speaker 4: with a really long barrel and a bipod on the
[19:52] Speaker 4: end of it and a club shaped stock, and it's
[19:55] Speaker 4: so dang heavy. It actually comes with a little carry
[19:57] Speaker 4: handle for you to haul it around.
[20:00] Speaker 2: I remember those when you got to the stock, that's
[20:03] Speaker 2: what kicked it off of the I've seen that goofy
[20:05] Speaker 2: looking thing.
[20:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, do you find it concealed? Carry holster for it.
[20:09] Speaker 4: I'm gonna make one. I think I'm just gonna trap
[20:12] Speaker 4: and go.
[20:13] Speaker 2: Just go oh yeah, there you go. Yeah, I like it,
[20:17] Speaker 2: just you know, dare anybody just say anything about it?
[20:20] Speaker 4: There you go trying to get it out of the
[20:22] Speaker 4: truck with it getting stuck in the door, Like, let's
[20:25] Speaker 4: be an issue.
[20:27] Speaker 2: You know. And of course there is the thought of
[20:29] Speaker 2: just going all the way back to a sixteen inch
[20:31] Speaker 2: barrel lever action in three point fifty seven or even
[20:35] Speaker 2: thirty thirty and just taking care of the problem with that.
[20:39] Speaker 2: But I actually think about all the model ninety four
[20:41] Speaker 2: Winchesters and Marlins in thirty thirty. You could take care
[20:45] Speaker 2: of pretty much whatever you need to take care of it. Yep.
[20:47] Speaker 1: Yeah, like nineteen eleven did that design will never last?
[20:51] Speaker 1: Guns have gotten so much better, uh huh, they still work.
[20:56] Speaker 2: We may pick up the nineteen eleven story next week.
[20:59] Speaker 2: I've got a guy who says, look, I want to
[21:01] Speaker 2: come on your show and talk about those and tell
[21:03] Speaker 2: everybody why they all should have a nineteen eleven. So okay,
[21:06] Speaker 2: we'll get it.
[21:07] Speaker 1: Shut up, talk about it, talk about an easy way
[21:09] Speaker 1: in for you. I'll go ahead, spot yeah.
[21:14] Speaker 2: Twist my arm, yeah I know that. Oh boy? All right, cool,
[21:18] Speaker 2: all right, Well we'll go get some more information. It'll
[21:21] Speaker 2: be coming out about this shooting about the Jordan's Salinas
[21:25] Speaker 2: and the bad guy, and we'll find out what's going on.
[21:28] Speaker 2: Like I said, we're fairly twenty four hours into the stories,
[21:31] Speaker 2: so what we think we know now inevitably changes, and
[21:36] Speaker 2: next week we'll read to talk about it a little
[21:38] Speaker 2: bit more. Alright, Well, you guys have fun, and you
[21:41] Speaker 2: know what, once again, carry everywhere, be careful out there,
[21:45] Speaker 2: carry always always. We'll catch you next time for the
[21:48] Speaker 2: gun talk after show
