The iconic Krissy Marsh of The Real Housewives of Sydney serves up saucy details about the show, the Housewives she’s hosted at her home, and how Real Housewives filming differs from The Traitors. She dives into her unbreakable bond and alliance with Rhys Nicholson, along with the judgemental reaction people had to her actually being able to complete challenges on The Traitors! [0:00] Speaker 1: Get ready. Yes!
[0:02] Speaker 2: It's Joel Creasy.
[0:04] Speaker 3: Joel Creasy! With The Joel Creasy Show.
[0:11] Speaker 2: Welcome to The Joel Creasy Show podcast. I love it
[0:15] Speaker 2: when I have a Real Housewife on. And today I
[0:18] Speaker 2: am joined by, I think, the only... Oh no, there's
[0:22] Speaker 2: Nicole as well. I was going to say, there were
[0:24] Speaker 2: three seasons of The Real Housewives of Sydney. And the
[0:26] Speaker 2: only one to do all three seasons is... And seeing
[0:30] Speaker 2: her in the studio and seeing her on The Traders,
[0:32] Speaker 2: there's a reason why. Chrissy Marsh is here, who in 1988,
[0:37] Speaker 2: at 18, Chrissy represented Australia as Miss Australia in the
[0:41] Speaker 2: Miss Asia Pacific quest in both Hong Kong and Manila.
[0:45] Speaker 2: That's on my sheet. I didn't get a chance to
[0:47] Speaker 2: chat to Chrissy about that because we cover so many
[0:50] Speaker 2: other delicious things. She's currently competing very well on The
[0:54] Speaker 2: Traders alongside my good friend, Rhys Nicholson. They have really
[0:59] Speaker 2: found each other on that show, which is hilarious because
[1:01] Speaker 2: Reese ain't a housewife's girlie, which I think I might
[1:06] Speaker 2: have finally convinced them to get into it. Come join
[1:09] Speaker 2: the dark side. Actually, also on my sheet, I'm going
[1:12] Speaker 2: to do them. I've got Chrissy's taglines from The Real
[1:15] Speaker 2: Housewives of Sydney. Season one, when you are comfortable in
[1:18] Speaker 2: your own skin, you get under someone else's. That's very good.
[1:22] Speaker 2: Season two, when you can afford to keep it real,
[1:24] Speaker 2: you have no reason to be fake.
[1:27] Speaker 1: Hmm.
[1:27] Speaker 2: Okay, I prefer season one. Season three. Friends are like diamonds.
[1:31] Speaker 2: Just watch out for the fakes. Delicious. We cover everything
[1:35] Speaker 2: with Chrissy, who is here in Melbourne, hence why she
[1:38] Speaker 2: was alive in my studio. She looks glamorous as ever.
[1:43] Speaker 2: She's here with her daughter, Johnny. Her husband is at
[1:47] Speaker 2: home in their mansion in Sydney, but they were off
[1:50] Speaker 2: to a very fancy dinner. after this. And yeah, it's
[1:53] Speaker 2: just always such a joy to chat to Chrissy. She
[1:55] Speaker 2: is such a hoot, such a laugh and plan the
[1:58] Speaker 2: game very well. So make sure you catch the traders, Australia.
[2:01] Speaker 2: It's on 10 and 10 play. And of course, like
[2:03] Speaker 2: junior for Gretel alone, it's hosted by the queen of
[2:07] Speaker 2: Australian television. Uh, but have a listen to these two Queens, uh,
[2:11] Speaker 2: Have a natter right now. Myself and Chrissy Marsh.
[2:15] Speaker 3: This is the Joel Creasy Show.
[2:17] Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. You're here. You came flanked with, you know,
[2:20] Speaker 2: a team. You look sensational. So you're completely on brand
[2:25] Speaker 2: and I appreciate that.
[2:26] Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. Well, you know, you
[2:27] Speaker 1: come to Melbourne, you've got to wear black. Isn't that
[2:29] Speaker 1: sort of the thing?
[2:31] Speaker 2: You're in the Melbourne uniform. Everyone in Melbourne wears black.
[2:34] Speaker 1: You know, you've got to know the restaurants to go to.
[2:36] Speaker 2: Yeah. Is it like, you know, because you hail from
[2:39] Speaker 2: rural households of Sydney, Is it like you're on enemy
[2:42] Speaker 2: territory when you're in Melbourne?
[2:43] Speaker 1: No, actually, after Gamble, meeting Gamble on The Traders.
[2:47] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
[2:47] Speaker 1: And, like, literally, I couldn't have distanced myself quick enough
[2:50] Speaker 1: from someone when I saw her get out of the car.
[2:52] Speaker 2: Well, you know, I.
[2:54] Speaker 1: Don't know the Melbourne girls.
[2:55] Speaker 2: You don't know any of them.
[2:56] Speaker 1: I know Chika and Lydia. Yeah. But really, and I
[2:59] Speaker 1: know Jackie.
[3:00] Speaker 2: And.
[3:01] Speaker 1: Then I'd never met Gamble. And she hops out of
[3:03] Speaker 1: the car. I'm like, I don't want to be associated
[3:05] Speaker 1: with that housewife thing. I really didn't. I'd sort of
[3:08] Speaker 1: lost that housewife tag. I'm moving into a more corporate era,
[3:11] Speaker 1: you know.
[3:11] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[3:13] Speaker 1: But she is fabulous. Oh, yeah.
[3:15] Speaker 2: She's good fun.
[3:15] Speaker 1: Absolutely amazing.
[3:16] Speaker 2: She, Gamble, like, wanted to, I think, like tried her
[3:20] Speaker 2: hand at stand-up comedy. Do you know this?
[3:22] Speaker 1: Really?
[3:22] Speaker 2: Yeah, she did a stand-up comedy course, which I didn't
[3:24] Speaker 2: know you could do.
[3:24] Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. Well, she forgot everyone's names and stuff.
[3:27] Speaker 1: I don't know how she would have gone with that.
[3:29] Speaker 2: Well, because then Wolfpup, Rick Wolf, did my eye surgery,
[3:32] Speaker 2: like lasered my eyes. And when he's talking in your ears,
[3:36] Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I see why she fell in
[3:38] Speaker 2: love with you. He's very sweet.
[3:39] Speaker 1: And he's very calming.
[3:40] Speaker 2: He's not that well.
[3:41] Speaker 1: Yeah. What?
[3:43] Speaker 2: Oh, no, I heard this. I know, because I need
[3:45] Speaker 2: a little eye top up. I'm like, oh, God.
[3:46] Speaker 1: She's amazing.
[3:47] Speaker 2: Yeah. You're amazing.
[3:48] Speaker 1: But not a blip. You didn't get a bleph, did you? No, no, no.
[3:51] Speaker 2: I was like blind.
[3:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Me too. I've had that done as well.
[3:54] Speaker 1: I've had everything done. Same.
[3:56] Speaker 2: I'm like, what can I have next? I had a
[3:57] Speaker 2: hair transplant in December.
[3:58] Speaker 1: Oh my God, really? Yeah. Well, it looks fab. Thanks.
[4:00] Speaker 2: I had it done here.
[4:01] Speaker 1: They did an amazing job.
[4:03] Speaker 2: Not in Turkey.
[4:04] Speaker 1: Where you end up getting a hairy bottom when you
[4:06] Speaker 1: wake up instead of a hairy head.
[4:08] Speaker 2: Would you know, a lady that I go to, like
[4:10] Speaker 2: she trims my beard when I'm in Perth, she had
[4:13] Speaker 2: a hair transplant on her eyebrows.
[4:15] Speaker 1: Oh, wow. Gosh.
[4:17] Speaker 2: I didn't know.
[4:17] Speaker 1: You really, well, one of my girlfriends had, fat put
[4:20] Speaker 1: into where the bra strap is on the shoulder. I'm like, really?
[4:23] Speaker 2: What?
[4:23] Speaker 1: Why? I can think of a million other things I
[4:25] Speaker 1: need done before I need that done. Please.
[4:28] Speaker 2: You look sensational. Oh, thank you. And you are so good.
[4:33] Speaker 2: You are so good. It's like you need to be
[4:35] Speaker 2: on TV more and more and more because you're so
[4:37] Speaker 2: good at it because it's a skill.
[4:40] Speaker 1: Look, with the traders, I think the biggest thing for
[4:43] Speaker 1: me was I really just wanted to go in as
[4:45] Speaker 1: myself and be myself.
[4:46] Speaker 2: Because you're funny.
[4:47] Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think with housewives– There is a little
[4:50] Speaker 1: bit of editing and there is a bit of, a
[4:52] Speaker 1: little bit. Tell me about it. A little bit.
[4:54] Speaker 2: Tell me about it. I'm still scarred.
[4:56] Speaker 1: Literally, you are just left to your own devices in
[4:59] Speaker 1: this kind of house. So no one's pulling and prodding
[5:02] Speaker 1: you or, you know, checking what you're saying. And all
[5:04] Speaker 1: the relationships are very, very natural. And I loved that.
[5:08] Speaker 1: And I loved that. For me, it was my world
[5:10] Speaker 1: of reality and then my world of business. So every
[5:13] Speaker 1: night before I went into that round table, I just
[5:16] Speaker 1: felt like strap it on. I am here. Oh, yeah.
[5:19] Speaker 2: Oh, that's so hot.
[5:20] Speaker 1: I felt strong. I felt powerful. Couldn't wait to get
[5:24] Speaker 1: in there. Whereas a lot of, you know, the bachelorettes or,
[5:27] Speaker 1: you know, some of the survivors and things, it wasn't
[5:29] Speaker 1: their natural habitat.
[5:30] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
[5:31] Speaker 1: Okay.
[5:32] Speaker 2: Talk to me about the round table because that, That
[5:35] Speaker 2: is the part that entices me and I'd like to
[5:38] Speaker 2: do this show. Yes, yes. To really just, I don't know,
[5:41] Speaker 2: there's something about it.
[5:42] Speaker 1: And also listen, a lot of people, and look, I
[5:43] Speaker 1: think rather than squirrelling around like AJ and Henry and
[5:47] Speaker 1: getting people's votes and what about this and Dicko, you know,
[5:49] Speaker 1: the boy band and this and this, I would really
[5:52] Speaker 1: for once in my life, I think because my kids said, oh, mum,
[5:54] Speaker 1: you're such a Karen, you'll be out for three days.
[5:57] Speaker 2: You're not a Karen. What?
[5:59] Speaker 1: I will not be out for three days apart from
[6:01] Speaker 1: the fact that I took some vodka in because we
[6:03] Speaker 1: weren't allowed to bring in anything. But it was in
[6:07] Speaker 1: a mouthwash bottle. No one knew the wiser. Oh, please.
[6:10] Speaker 1: And I'm only saying this because I'm on this show
[6:12] Speaker 1: to pretend. Of course I didn't do it.
[6:14] Speaker 2: Of course. And also, like, I'm sure people are taking
[6:18] Speaker 2: in far worse. A bit of vodka is a bit
[6:20] Speaker 2: of mama's milk.
[6:20] Speaker 1: Exactly right. Rhys used to say that every night. They'd
[6:23] Speaker 1: used to say on the challenges, who wants to drive?
[6:26] Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, no, not today, thanks.
[6:30] Speaker 2: Well, yeah, Rhys, when Rhys came off the show, didn't
[6:34] Speaker 2: tell me, like, you know, didn't give anything away, but
[6:36] Speaker 2: I said, how's Chrissy? Because you were the only person
[6:39] Speaker 2: that I knew, like, really, I mean, obviously, like, Dicko
[6:41] Speaker 2: and Cosima and stuff, and you got the Rhys Nicholson
[6:44] Speaker 2: tick of approval, which is big.
[6:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, and look, I think, you know, when you're in there,
[6:49] Speaker 1: you really are away from everyone. You've got no contact
[6:51] Speaker 1: with your family. There's no phones. So the pressure is
[6:54] Speaker 1: really intense, and I actually– Keep a diary. So the
[6:59] Speaker 1: whole entire episodes of Housewives, so 12 episodes, are filmed
[7:05] Speaker 1: in 13 days or 12 days there. So it's literally,
[7:09] Speaker 1: it's so intense.
[7:10] Speaker 2: Like traitors, not housewives.
[7:11] Speaker 1: Traitors, the traitors. But the Housewife, the same amount of episodes,
[7:14] Speaker 1: it takes nine months, does that in 12 days. So
[7:17] Speaker 1: you can imagine the pressure. And it is really like
[7:21] Speaker 1: a pressure cooker. And you're with each other 24-7. And
[7:24] Speaker 1: for some reason, I was the only one. No one
[7:26] Speaker 1: was allowed a watch. But no one took my watch
[7:28] Speaker 1: off me. So I'd be like, oh, my God, guys,
[7:31] Speaker 1: it's 11.30 and we're having lunch. You never know what
[7:35] Speaker 1: went on in that manor house. How did you get?
[7:36] Speaker 2: Yeah, because when I did I'm a Celebrity, they take
[7:39] Speaker 2: everything off you.
[7:39] Speaker 1: Yes, I know.
[7:40] Speaker 2: And even the producers, when you'd see them, they would
[7:42] Speaker 2: have the watch gaffer taped.
[7:44] Speaker 1: I know.
[7:44] Speaker 2: How did you get away with that?
[7:45] Speaker 1: And also, I don't know, and also the blindfolding. Like, oh,
[7:49] Speaker 1: that's something new. Come back and say, Johnny. I learned
[7:53] Speaker 1: a few new tricks when I was away. But, yeah, look,
[7:56] Speaker 1: I think, you know, to put yourself under that sort
[7:58] Speaker 1: of pressure and also physically. Yeah. I just loved– I
[8:02] Speaker 1: saw someone– did something about last night's episode.
[8:05] Speaker 2: I mean, it's going on. Socials are crazy.
[8:07] Speaker 1: Where there was that puzzle. And, you know, I kept
[8:10] Speaker 1: saying to Rhys, you're all man. Because he was lifting
[8:12] Speaker 1: these big, heavy pieces.
[8:14] Speaker 2: Oh, I was like, Rhys?
[8:15] Speaker 1: And then someone on this is like, oh, look, I
[8:17] Speaker 1: expected Tully or I expected someone like Claudia. To work
[8:20] Speaker 1: out the puzzle. But Chrissy Marsh, I'm like, what? I'm like,
[8:25] Speaker 1: why wouldn't you expect me to work it out?
[8:26] Speaker 2: How rude. How rude.
[8:28] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[8:28] Speaker 2: Because what is your business background again?
[8:30] Speaker 1: Exactly. Well, I have my own business in property.
[8:32] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[8:32] Speaker 1: So I was a real estate agent in that whole
[8:35] Speaker 1: sort of South commercial and industrial.
[8:37] Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember this now.
[8:38] Speaker 1: You know, close to 30 years. So those roundtables and,
[8:41] Speaker 1: you know, I've negotiated it. Yeah. Every heart out South African,
[8:45] Speaker 1: everyone down in that area. I'm like, hey, this is
[8:48] Speaker 1: easy compared to that.
[8:49] Speaker 2: Well, because I think the last time we would have
[8:52] Speaker 2: seen each other was the Housewives reunion.
[8:54] Speaker 1: Yes.
[8:55] Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.
[8:58] Speaker 1: Can I tell you, like, we did the media day
[9:02] Speaker 1: for this. And this is a cast of 22, right?
[9:03] Speaker 3: Huge.
[9:03] Speaker 1: Huge. And we all got along. We all laughed. We
[9:10] Speaker 1: all had fun. It's a show.
[9:11] Speaker 2: We all had the best time. Yeah.
[9:12] Speaker 1: And I had the housewives from New York, Atlanta and London.
[9:16] Speaker 2: I saw they were all at your house.
[9:17] Speaker 1: I had my Tuesday night dinner. But they said, you know,
[9:20] Speaker 1: they knew when to pack it up. They knew when
[9:22] Speaker 1: to put it down. And the problem is with Sydney,
[9:25] Speaker 1: no one ever.
[9:26] Speaker 2: Learnt to put it down. Oh, until we started recording
[9:30] Speaker 2: the reunion. Then some people weren't saying anything. I was like, hello.
[9:33] Speaker 1: It's not a game of Survivor. There was no $ 250, 000
[9:37] Speaker 1: prize at the end of the day, you know. Whereas this,
[9:39] Speaker 1: there was. And people were still civil and amazing. And,
[9:43] Speaker 1: you know, I just loved, like, Monarchy. I loved hanging
[9:45] Speaker 1: out with him, Kostina, like learning things. about all these
[9:48] Speaker 1: people's lives. It really is the most incredible cast.
[9:52] Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're making a show, and that's the same
[9:53] Speaker 2: as Housewives. It's like it's a show at the end
[9:56] Speaker 2: of the day.
[9:56] Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
[9:57] Speaker 2: So the better you get on.
[9:57] Speaker 1: But of course it crosses into your real life.
[10:00] Speaker 2: Well, this is, yeah, I don't think people give you
[10:02] Speaker 2: guys enough credit.
[10:02] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[10:03] Speaker 2: Like especially Housewives. You're opening your life up for shows.
[10:06] Speaker 1: Totally, yes.
[10:07] Speaker 2: Like that takes guts.
[10:09] Speaker 1: I know, I know. And look, I think the thing
[10:11] Speaker 1: with the traders as well was for me the physical
[10:13] Speaker 1: challenges were, Because you had to rate yourself physically. And
[10:16] Speaker 1: I gave myself a 7 out of 10. Like, I,
[10:19] Speaker 1: you know, physically fit.
[10:20] Speaker 2: I'd give you more than that.
[10:21] Speaker 1: My kids are like, Mum, Karen, you're a 3, Mum,
[10:24] Speaker 1: you're a 3. So every challenge I did, I'm like, right, right, right.
[10:27] Speaker 1: So I was really pulled my way through challenges. Yeah.
[10:30] Speaker 2: And also, there's that pressure of being on camera. So
[10:33] Speaker 2: you're like, I can't fail.
[10:34] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to look good, pull the top down
[10:36] Speaker 1: a bit.
[10:36] Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I get it. When I did a celeb,
[10:38] Speaker 2: I was like, I don't want to be the gay guy,
[10:39] Speaker 2: which you would have been like, I don't want to
[10:40] Speaker 2: be the housewife. Like, you know. Yeah.
[10:42] Speaker 1: Oh, yes.
[10:42] Speaker 3: Okay.
[10:42] Speaker 2: Okay. So these Tuesday night dinners.
[10:45] Speaker 1: I know.
[10:46] Speaker 2: I know everyone's asked you about them.
[10:47] Speaker 1: No, but it's literally what it started when my son
[10:50] Speaker 1: left school. I wanted him to still stay in contact
[10:52] Speaker 1: with his friends. So now they see all these people.
[10:54] Speaker 1: They're like, we're the OGs. So every week he would
[10:58] Speaker 1: have dinner on Tuesday night and there's always a sprinkling.
[11:01] Speaker 1: They call it the sprinkling of my friends.
[11:03] Speaker 2: Right.
[11:03] Speaker 1: You know, what gay guy is coming along today? Don't
[11:06] Speaker 1: only have gay people at my house. Um, so yeah,
[11:10] Speaker 1: and that's how it started. So it started five years ago,
[11:13] Speaker 1: always on a Tuesday night. And then when Nico finished school,
[11:16] Speaker 1: Nico and Billy had rotate and now the three of
[11:18] Speaker 1: them rotate.
[11:19] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[11:19] Speaker 1: So all of a sudden, um, Juliet from who's Aussie. Mayhew. Yes.
[11:23] Speaker 2: Oh my God. How good was London? Did you watch London? Yeah.
[11:26] Speaker 2: And did you make it make you weirdly patriotic that
[11:28] Speaker 2: the richest one was Australian?
[11:30] Speaker 1: Oh my God. You know what? I just think she's fab,
[11:32] Speaker 1: you know, she's fab and she's fun. Exactly. And talented.
[11:37] Speaker 1: So she was like, Oh, you know, can I bring, um, Dorinda?
[11:39] Speaker 1: And I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, sure. You know, no problems.
[11:42] Speaker 1: Like I haven't watched New York. I haven't watched those.
[11:45] Speaker 2: I haven't watched it religiously, but I knew how.
[11:47] Speaker 1: Big she was. So I was like, Anyway, I said
[11:49] Speaker 1: to Nico, look, there's a couple of others coming, which
[11:51] Speaker 1: there always is. And he goes to me, well, I'm
[11:53] Speaker 1: going to show those women a thing or two because
[11:55] Speaker 1: all his mates are a little bit wild. Yeah. Love
[11:57] Speaker 1: a shot of tequila. Well.
[12:00] Speaker 2: This is Dorinda.
[12:00] Speaker 1: She literally came in. But she thought almost like we
[12:03] Speaker 1: were filming because my son said, oh, mum, I don't
[12:06] Speaker 1: think she loves, you know, dad's Chablis. And so I went, oh, Dorinda,
[12:09] Speaker 1: do you not like the Chablis? And she's like, who
[12:12] Speaker 1: told you I didn't like the Chablis?
[12:13] Speaker 2: I didn't want that.
[12:14] Speaker 1: I don't want sons here.
[12:15] Speaker 2: I was like, ah.
[12:17] Speaker 1: Like all of a sudden, break, break, break. Oh, no, Dorinda.
[12:19] Speaker 1: There's no cameras here. It's just my family.
[12:21] Speaker 2: Sometimes they forget.
[12:22] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[12:22] Speaker 1: But why I was telling you this was Cynthia, who
[12:26] Speaker 1: I had no clue.
[12:27] Speaker 2: Stunning.
[12:28] Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Beautiful. Isn't she? 59. Are you serious?
[12:32] Speaker 1: Not a wrinkle on her face. Yeah, outrageous. So she
[12:34] Speaker 1: just came out and slipped into this seat outside and
[12:37] Speaker 1: sat by the fire. And I had no idea who
[12:38] Speaker 1: she was. Anyway, she ended up sitting beside me at dinner.
[12:41] Speaker 1: What an absolute incredible delight.
[12:45] Speaker 2: Everyone said this that I've met her.
[12:48] Speaker 1: But she's so clever and so talented and has evolved
[12:52] Speaker 1: so much. She wants to evolve into going on The
[12:54] Speaker 1: Traitors now. I'm like, been there, done that.
[12:57] Speaker 2: You're a pioneer.
[12:57] Speaker 1: Hello.
[12:58] Speaker 2: Look, you're setting the example.
[12:59] Speaker 1: No, I don't think so. Lisa Rinna, plenty of them
[13:01] Speaker 1: did it before me.
[13:02] Speaker 2: Okay, we're talking Australia.
[13:03] Speaker 1: But you know what, when it goes to England.
[13:04] Speaker 2: You've done better than Rinna.
[13:05] Speaker 1: Because it's Princess Kate and William's favourite show. So I've
[13:12] Speaker 1: said to Paramount, guys, I am going over. I will
[13:15] Speaker 1: fly myself. Yeah. I want to just sit and watch
[13:18] Speaker 1: the premiere with them at Buckingham Palace. What do you think?
[13:23] Speaker 3: The Joel Creasy Show.
[13:24] Speaker 1: Did you just see they did the rendition for Dolly?
[13:28] Speaker 1: Dolly Parton?
[13:28] Speaker 2: I mean, no.
[13:29] Speaker 1: Yes, the Buckingham Palace.
[13:31] Speaker 2: Oh, rightly so. The changing of the guard.
[13:34] Speaker 1: I know. I couldn't speak yesterday all day.
[13:36] Speaker 2: And also, you heard about Tim Curry today?
[13:38] Speaker 1: No.
[13:38] Speaker 2: Like, Frankenfurter from Rocky Horror.
[13:40] Speaker 1: Oh, no.
[13:40] Speaker 2: I know. I'm like, what's that? Take me.
[13:42] Speaker 1: Oh, no. Don't say that.
[13:42] Speaker 2: Like, you know, not the good ones.
[13:44] Speaker 1: Don't say that.
[13:44] Speaker 2: Well, I would for the good.
[13:45] Speaker 1: Of the world. No, that's silly.
[13:47] Speaker 3: Okay.
[13:47] Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't go saying stuff like that.
[13:48] Speaker 2: Take Lisa Oldfield then.
[13:49] Speaker 1: Okay, no. I'd never wish anyone dead.
[13:54] Speaker 2: No, I know.
[13:55] Speaker 1: No. No, no.
[13:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you should because it's going to go
[13:58] Speaker 2: off over there because, like, they love that show.
[14:01] Speaker 1: Yes, and they love Australians. And I just think the
[14:03] Speaker 1: whole thing of putting people under pressure and everyone goes,
[14:05] Speaker 1: But I don't get it. You already know who's a
[14:08] Speaker 1: traitor and who's a faithful as the audience. But that's
[14:10] Speaker 1: what makes it even more deceiving. And that's where I
[14:12] Speaker 1: think looking at someone like Kirby at the moment, looking
[14:16] Speaker 1: at just how well you can manipulate people. And that's
[14:19] Speaker 1: what I think this game comes down to. This game
[14:23] Speaker 1: comes down to how likable you are, how much you
[14:27] Speaker 1: can get people to love you. And, like, you know,
[14:29] Speaker 1: you were talking about Rhys and I. Obviously Rhys gets,
[14:33] Speaker 1: you know. to become a traitor. But, you know, in
[14:37] Speaker 1: my eyes, he's always a faithful. So you really have these,
[14:40] Speaker 1: and I don't like to call them alliances because I
[14:42] Speaker 1: wouldn't understand an alliance because I've never done that sort
[14:45] Speaker 1: of a show. But I really loved that friendship. Nothing
[14:49] Speaker 1: was going to make me change my mind, even if
[14:50] Speaker 1: he was up there in the turret.
[14:52] Speaker 3: Oh, no.
[14:53] Speaker 1: Sorry, what are you doing?
[14:54] Speaker 2: Did you think they were going to make you a traitor?
[14:55] Speaker 2: Of course.
[14:57] Speaker 1: Everyone's got such a big ego. I'm like, but looking
[15:00] Speaker 1: at it, I could never have done it.
[15:02] Speaker 2: I really couldn't.
[15:03] Speaker 1: I think like Rhys, you've got to be a bit
[15:05] Speaker 1: of an arsehole.
[15:08] Speaker 2: You took the words right out of my mouth.
[15:10] Speaker 1: And like Alvin, I said to Alvin, oh, Alvin, you know,
[15:12] Speaker 1: you've got to be a little bit of a, when
[15:14] Speaker 1: Alvin said to me he didn't like kids, I was like, right, Alvin,
[15:17] Speaker 1: you are a traitor. But I do think you've got
[15:20] Speaker 1: to have a certain element of conniving and cunning and
[15:25] Speaker 1: it's just, you know, I'm just a real open book.
[15:28] Speaker 1: So for me to be the real Chrissie Marsh being
[15:31] Speaker 1: faithful Like, and of course your ego's a bit burnt.
[15:35] Speaker 1: Everyone thought, Dicko thought he would be, all of us did.
[15:37] Speaker 2: Well, I guess it equates to some, for some, I mean,
[15:39] Speaker 2: you don't need it, but for some of them it
[15:41] Speaker 2: equates to more screen time.
[15:42] Speaker 1: Yeah. And also I think it is a lot more strategy.
[15:45] Speaker 1: It's a lot more, you know, because they've got to
[15:48] Speaker 1: think one step. Like that's what Alvin was explaining to me.
[15:50] Speaker 1: Like Kirby was already five steps ahead. So she was
[15:54] Speaker 1: saying like, if I clear out Henry, how's that going
[15:56] Speaker 1: to affect the next, the next, the next? I mean,
[15:58] Speaker 1: she's built for this. Yeah. Built for this sort of
[16:01] Speaker 1: strategy and thinking. Yeah.
[16:02] Speaker 2: You know, but some of us.
[16:04] Speaker 1: You know, there's quite a few of us that are
[16:07] Speaker 1: maybe good for it as well.
[16:08] Speaker 2: I know.
[16:08] Speaker 1: But just not so outwardly there.
[16:10] Speaker 2: I know. But you're very interesting. And I'm, And I've
[16:12] Speaker 2: always known you were very funny on Housewives. I really
[16:16] Speaker 2: appreciate a funny Housewife because they're rare. And so you're
[16:19] Speaker 2: so funny on the show and I'm glad people are
[16:20] Speaker 2: seeing that because I appreciate it.
[16:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think people are seeing more of my
[16:24] Speaker 1: true self, which is so nice.
[16:26] Speaker 2: You're hilarious.
[16:26] Speaker 1: But mum always says to me, oh, you know, that
[16:29] Speaker 1: was a problem with Housewives. It was never, like, you know,
[16:32] Speaker 1: my daughter said to me this, like literally a month ago.
[16:36] Speaker 1: I had 4,000 followers on TikTok and she's like, Mum,
[16:39] Speaker 1: you just need to do TikToks and show people what
[16:41] Speaker 1: you're really like. I'm literally like, you know, 100,000 followers.
[16:45] Speaker 1: It's just gone up.
[16:47] Speaker 2: Look, I've written that down. I wanted to let you
[16:48] Speaker 2: know I've been following you since I was one of
[16:50] Speaker 2: those 4,000. Oh, I love it. And you are popping off.
[16:52] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[16:53] Speaker 2: I love that you explain how to make a skinny bitch.
[16:56] Speaker 1: Can you believe that barman?
[16:58] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[16:58] Speaker 1: I was paying him like $ 90 an hour because he
[17:00] Speaker 1: was a senior barman. He didn't know how to make
[17:02] Speaker 1: a skinny bitch.
[17:02] Speaker 2: And it's just what, vodka soda?
[17:04] Speaker 1: Vodka soda. A crazy bitch.
[17:06] Speaker 2: What's a crazy bitch?
[17:07] Speaker 1: Tequila soda. Oh, you don't want to see me on those.
[17:09] Speaker 2: Well, I remember at the end of the reunion that
[17:12] Speaker 2: I've tried to block out. Because then Terry was like, no,
[17:16] Speaker 2: we drink T-bombs. Oh, yeah. T-bombs.
[17:18] Speaker 1: T-bombs like a crazy bitch. But it's more sort of
[17:22] Speaker 1: almost straight. I don't do well on tequila.
[17:25] Speaker 2: Yeah. Don't they say it's an upper? Yeah.
[17:28] Speaker 1: Well, I don't know.
[17:29] Speaker 2: I find it all an upper.
[17:30] Speaker 1: My skinny bitches are pretty good.
[17:31] Speaker 2: I just love that. And then I'm like, it's gone
[17:33] Speaker 2: off as well, like a skinny bitch. Can you please
[17:35] Speaker 2: do one where you just, like, teach people how to make, like,
[17:36] Speaker 2: ice cubes?
[17:37] Speaker 1: Oh, that's a great idea. That would be really funny.
[17:39] Speaker 1: That would be really funny.
[17:40] Speaker 2: Also, can you explain to me how many fridges do
[17:43] Speaker 2: you have in your basement? Oh, okay.
[17:44] Speaker 1: So in the house at the moment we've got five fridges.
[17:46] Speaker 2: I fucking love that.
[17:48] Speaker 1: I know. But you know what? We literally consume. We
[17:50] Speaker 1: always have people over. We always have people. And that's
[17:53] Speaker 1: what makes me actually happy. Same. Our family talk about
[17:57] Speaker 1: food from the day, like, Even we're leaving tonight and
[17:59] Speaker 1: my husband's like, so what's for dinner tonight? I plan it.
[18:02] Speaker 1: I plan it on Sunday night.
[18:04] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[18:04] Speaker 1: I order everything in. I have everything there. And that's
[18:08] Speaker 1: the way I roll. And then people like some Tuesday
[18:11] Speaker 1: night dinners are four people. Yeah. You know, some like
[18:14] Speaker 1: this week we had 25. It was Milana's week. So
[18:17] Speaker 1: it goes up and down. And someone says, how do
[18:19] Speaker 1: you keep the guest list? guest list fresh. I'm like,
[18:22] Speaker 1: it's not about being fresh. It's actually about being stale.
[18:26] Speaker 1: The same people come back every week.
[18:28] Speaker 2: In a repeat business.
[18:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, repeat business.
[18:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, because I think I am proud to admit that
[18:33] Speaker 2: I throw a great party. And I think it's important people,
[18:35] Speaker 2: some people need to know that they don't. And you do.
[18:39] Speaker 2: It's a skill. I love it. I love making people happy.
[18:42] Speaker 1: Yeah, but you know what made me a little upset today?
[18:45] Speaker 1: I was coming down to Melbourne and someone said, oh,
[18:47] Speaker 1: you know, on our chat, on our Traitors chat, oh,
[18:50] Speaker 1: you know, imagine trying to host Chrissy Marsh. Like, you're
[18:52] Speaker 1: just so lucky to be invited anywhere. No one... would
[18:55] Speaker 1: care if you put a rotisserie chook on the table.
[18:58] Speaker 2: It's not about that.
[18:59] Speaker 1: It's about connection and getting people together. And can I
[19:01] Speaker 1: tell you what? This Tuesday night dinner movement, and I'm
[19:06] Speaker 1: actually calling it a movement because I seriously, I get
[19:10] Speaker 1: pictures from people that are entertaining on a weekend but
[19:13] Speaker 1: call it a Tuesday night dinner. And you know what?
[19:16] Speaker 1: It doesn't, as you said, like it doesn't have to
[19:18] Speaker 1: be fancy.
[19:18] Speaker 2: No.
[19:19] Speaker 1: It's about connection. And that's the problem is people are
[19:22] Speaker 1: so thirsty for connection because there's so little of it.
[19:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's about the hosting. It's not about the venue.
[19:28] Speaker 2: It's about making people feel comfortable and also getting a
[19:30] Speaker 2: drink in people's hands the second they.
[19:32] Speaker 1: Walk in the door. Exactly right. And never running out.
[19:34] Speaker 1: That's the biggest tip.
[19:35] Speaker 2: The food can be shitty.
[19:37] Speaker 1: The food can be bad because they'll be so drunk
[19:39] Speaker 1: by the time they walk out they won't even remember.
[19:41] Speaker 1: And Nicole O'Neill always insists on dessert. I'm like, Nicole,
[19:43] Speaker 1: you've had dessert. Just have another drink. Oh, really? That's
[19:46] Speaker 1: your champagne, you know?
[19:48] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[19:49] Speaker 1: A lot of people want dessert.
[19:50] Speaker 2: No, have a liquid dessert.
[19:52] Speaker 1: Yes, exactly. So you're invited any time, you know? Please.
[19:55] Speaker 1: Come up to Tuesday night dinner. You've got to deal
[19:57] Speaker 1: with a few dogs and a few, you know. I've
[20:00] Speaker 1: got five dogs. One came out recently.
[20:02] Speaker 2: Oh, really?
[20:02] Speaker 1: Oh, congratulations. Yeah, so I know. And he's so proud
[20:05] Speaker 1: and he's just out and he's just– Out and proud.
[20:07] Speaker 1: And he was a rescue. His name's Frank. So the
[20:10] Speaker 1: other day when Dolly died yesterday, so I've got Elvis, Frank,
[20:15] Speaker 1: after Frank Sinatra, Dolly Parton, and then I've got the
[20:17] Speaker 1: two little ones, which are Bondi and Bronte. And my
[20:19] Speaker 1: daughter goes, oh, well, now they're all dead, Mum. And
[20:21] Speaker 1: I'm like. Oh, no. It's too sad.
[20:25] Speaker 2: I know, yeah. Maybe you need to start naming them
[20:27] Speaker 2: after young pop stars.
[20:29] Speaker 1: I know, really young people that are going to be
[20:31] Speaker 1: around a bit longer.
[20:32] Speaker 2: Zara Larsson, my Pomeranian. And don't you have a turtle
[20:36] Speaker 2: as well?
[20:36] Speaker 1: Yes, Terry. Terry the turtle. And everyone thinks I named
[20:38] Speaker 1: him after Terry, the housewife.
[20:41] Speaker 2: Viviano.
[20:41] Speaker 1: Yes, but Terry was around before Terry. Like that thing,
[20:44] Speaker 1: we've had.
[20:44] Speaker 2: Him since that. It's Terry with a Y.
[20:47] Speaker 1: They grow, yeah.
[20:48] Speaker 2: Right? Yeah. She's Terry with an I?
[20:49] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
[20:50] Speaker 2: You're all over this. You don't see Terry?
[20:52] Speaker 1: Yeah. Look, I see her around. We're on all good terms.
[20:55] Speaker 2: This was the thing. She made good TV.
[20:56] Speaker 1: Yeah. Totally.
[20:58] Speaker 2: She needed to be there.
[20:59] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[20:59] Speaker 2: Everyone did.
[21:00] Speaker 1: Yeah. And I think that's the biggest thing is an
[21:02] Speaker 1: ensemble cast. Yeah. And that's what I think is so
[21:05] Speaker 1: great about Traitors is anyone could have been. My mum's like, oh,
[21:09] Speaker 1: they kept you around, darling, because you're, you know, you're funny.
[21:11] Speaker 1: I said, mum, no one can be kept around.
[21:13] Speaker 2: No, you were doing well.
[21:14] Speaker 1: I'm like, no, exactly. I'm like, I could have been
[21:16] Speaker 1: Cam and out in the first 30 seconds. And I
[21:18] Speaker 1: would have, oh, my God, I would have been devastated.
[21:22] Speaker 1: And you know what? Like when Henry and those guys
[21:24] Speaker 1: didn't agree, the twins were fighting to bring Cam back in.
[21:28] Speaker 1: I sat down and had a chat with Cam about that. And,
[21:31] Speaker 1: you know, he's really caught up about that because that
[21:33] Speaker 1: was his opportunity to go back into the show. You
[21:35] Speaker 1: think of the outfits you organise, everything you prepare.
[21:38] Speaker 2: That's what I always think, the outfits.
[21:39] Speaker 1: I know, the outfits. Rhys had some good outfits.
[21:42] Speaker 2: I know, and Rhys was saying that only a few
[21:44] Speaker 2: of you really committed to the outfits.
[21:46] Speaker 1: But I would actually go a lot harder. Did you
[21:49] Speaker 1: see Moira?
[21:50] Speaker 3: Yes.
[21:50] Speaker 1: Oh, my God, from The English. She was just stunning.
[21:53] Speaker 1: She had wigs. She had everything. And that's why I
[21:56] Speaker 1: wish Queen was in longer outfits. I know. Because it
[21:59] Speaker 1: would have just been the outfits and the fashion. That's
[22:02] Speaker 1: my only regret is I would have upped it a
[22:04] Speaker 1: lot more and been a lot more rich as recess.
[22:10] Speaker 2: Next season they have people, but didn't Dorinda do two
[22:12] Speaker 2: in a row? I don't know. Yeah.
[22:14] Speaker 1: I don't know if I could.
[22:16] Speaker 2: What about like an international one?
[22:17] Speaker 1: Well, I had a diary that I kept. Yeah. And
[22:20] Speaker 1: I literally went away like hating my husband and loving
[22:23] Speaker 1: my kids. I came back loving my husband and hating
[22:26] Speaker 1: my kids. And on like day eight, because we're up
[22:30] Speaker 1: to that now, I basically just wrote, F me, what
[22:32] Speaker 1: am I doing here? Because you've got no one to
[22:35] Speaker 1: talk to.
[22:35] Speaker 2: And that's why the producers are so good at what
[22:38] Speaker 2: they do.
[22:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, you only can write. You can't have a radio.
[22:40] Speaker 1: You can't have a TV. You can't have any outside.
[22:44] Speaker 1: There's no news. There's no nothing.
[22:46] Speaker 2: You're probably quite smart because the others, I'm assuming a
[22:48] Speaker 2: lot of them weren't even doing that.
[22:49] Speaker 1: No, a lot of them were journaling. You had to.
[22:51] Speaker 1: You had to get your thoughts down and you had to.
[22:54] Speaker 1: sort of run through the day. And I wouldn't overanalyze things.
[22:57] Speaker 1: I'd just get the vibe from what was happening. And
[22:59] Speaker 1: then once I was in that room, I'd see what
[23:01] Speaker 1: evidence came out. Yeah. Yeah.
[23:04] Speaker 2: Oh, it's so delicious.
[23:05] Speaker 1: And I've known from day one. I've said from day
[23:07] Speaker 1: one that Kirby's a traitor.
[23:08] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[23:09] Speaker 1: I knew that from day one. But it's funny when
[23:11] Speaker 1: you're in the mode and then someone else gets on
[23:14] Speaker 1: your radar and then you're sort of going for them
[23:16] Speaker 1: and it's all this sort of clawing.
[23:18] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[23:19] Speaker 2: Was there a specific person that could sway you?
[23:22] Speaker 1: Um, I loved Luke. Luke was very, like you saw
[23:25] Speaker 1: last night when Luke sort of went for Claudia, um,
[23:27] Speaker 1: and I'd sort of been thinking about her and he
[23:30] Speaker 1: definitely swayed me. And I, I really don't think, um,
[23:34] Speaker 1: I had a really lovely connection with Rob, you know, but,
[23:37] Speaker 1: but Rhys was like me. We weren't sort of out
[23:39] Speaker 1: there saying, oh, I think, yes, I get you.
[23:42] Speaker 2: Oh, Joel's definitely, you.
[23:44] Speaker 1: Know, we weren't really doing that. So, The people that
[23:47] Speaker 1: were out there doing it were mostly survivors that were
[23:50] Speaker 1: sort of pinning people. Yeah.
[23:52] Speaker 2: Now, Ewan Rees was entertaining the nation, babe.
[23:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. He was just worried about screen time.
[23:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, got live ticket sales to sell. Exactly.
[24:03] Speaker 3: The Joel Creasy Show.
[24:05] Speaker 2: I also love your Black Door videos.
[24:08] Speaker 3: Yes.
[24:09] Speaker 2: I've been following for a long time.
[24:11] Speaker 1: Yes.
[24:12] Speaker 2: Yeah. You're really good at branding. Yeah.
[24:15] Speaker 1: Black Door fashions have been a fun. That's just been
[24:18] Speaker 1: my little creative outlet. But also my cooking. I love cooking.
[24:22] Speaker 1: I did the Ronald McDonald House cookbook and literally a
[24:25] Speaker 1: bestseller in Australia is 2,000 books.
[24:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, you've got a cookbook.
[24:28] Speaker 1: I printed 5,000. So guess what? I've got a hell
[24:30] Speaker 1: of a lot of cookbooks. TikTok. TikTok. If you want
[24:32] Speaker 1: to sell shit, go on TikTok.
[24:33] Speaker 2: Really?
[24:34] Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Really? Like I would sell like two
[24:37] Speaker 1: a week and be like, oh, I'm selling like 20
[24:38] Speaker 1: a day.
[24:39] Speaker 2: Wow.
[24:40] Speaker 1: TikTok is where it's at. Yeah. So I've just.
[24:43] Speaker 2: What's like the flair in the cookbook?
[24:44] Speaker 1: I realized just, oh, it's everything. It's every country I lived.
[24:46] Speaker 1: So I lived in Shanghai, China, Italy. I lived over there.
[24:50] Speaker 1: I had an Italian boyfriend.
[24:51] Speaker 2: Where did you live in Italy?
[24:52] Speaker 1: United Nations. A place called Terni. Don't you love the
[24:55] Speaker 1: way I say it?
[24:55] Speaker 2: Terni. Yeah, you clearly live there.
[24:57] Speaker 1: It's an hour north of Rome and it's really industrial.
[25:01] Speaker 1: I really.
[25:01] Speaker 2: I like Rome. Some people give it a hard time.
[25:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I love it. Look at the terri morto,
[25:05] Speaker 1: the earthquakes. Yeah. That really, that's the only reason. I
[25:08] Speaker 1: probably still would live in Italy if it wasn't for
[25:10] Speaker 1: the earthquakes. It's really unsettling.
[25:13] Speaker 2: I was just there. This is where I got engaged.
[25:14] Speaker 2: I love Italy. Oh, my gosh.
[25:16] Speaker 1: Congratulations.
[25:16] Speaker 2: Thanks, Barry.
[25:17] Speaker 1: When's the wedding?
[25:18] Speaker 2: Well, we're renovating.
[25:20] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
[25:20] Speaker 2: That's like putting things off.
[25:22] Speaker 1: Good luck with that. I'm surprised you could afford a ring.
[25:24] Speaker 2: Oh, honestly, I'm probably going to hit you up for
[25:26] Speaker 2: cash and diamonds. Is like everything that people said about
[25:29] Speaker 2: renovating is true. I thought, how can I, it's not
[25:31] Speaker 2: like I'm doing it with my bare hands.
[25:33] Speaker 1: I know. It is. And it's stressful. And watching the
[25:36] Speaker 1: bills and watching that. Yeah. Yeah.
[25:38] Speaker 2: It's invoice season.
[25:41] Speaker 1: I know. It's like, oh. Yeah.
[25:42] Speaker 2: I know. Leave me alone.
[25:43] Speaker 1: I know.
[25:44] Speaker 2: But you know what?
[25:45] Speaker 1: You'll love it in the end and it's how you
[25:46] Speaker 1: want it. Yeah. I think that's the thing. When you
[25:48] Speaker 1: do it yourself, you look back and you think, and
[25:50] Speaker 1: it's also value add. You know, the way that the
[25:53] Speaker 1: government is these days, the only way you can make
[25:55] Speaker 1: any money is on your own home.
[25:57] Speaker 2: Tell me about it.
[25:58] Speaker 1: So that's what you need to be doing.
[25:59] Speaker 2: All I need to do is my financial advisor.
[26:01] Speaker 1: You know what? I've literally, I've done the finances in
[26:04] Speaker 1: our house from the day I was born. I love it.
[26:07] Speaker 1: I'm obsessed with it. It's the biggest education I give
[26:10] Speaker 1: to the kids.
[26:10] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[26:11] Speaker 1: Because it's all about that. You know, our whole plane
[26:14] Speaker 1: ride down was Milana and I going through You know,
[26:16] Speaker 1: she needs to make a certain amount before she goes
[26:18] Speaker 1: to Europe and she's working out how she's going to
[26:20] Speaker 1: get there and how she's going to make it and
[26:21] Speaker 1: those goal setting.
[26:22] Speaker 2: I'm doing all that right now.
[26:25] Speaker 1: Exactly. We could do a session next time.
[26:28] Speaker 2: You could charge for that.
[26:29] Speaker 1: I know.
[26:29] Speaker 2: I know.
[26:30] Speaker 1: But you know what? I love doing that. That's something
[26:32] Speaker 1: I really, I do a lot of mentoring.
[26:33] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[26:34] Speaker 1: And I could so easily charge for it because it's
[26:36] Speaker 1: almost like a psychiatric session.
[26:37] Speaker 3: 100%.
[26:37] Speaker 1: You know what?
[26:39] Speaker 2: It's great.
[26:40] Speaker 1: What gives me my real, you know, I wake up
[26:43] Speaker 1: in the morning and I work on it.
[26:44] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[26:44] Speaker 1: I literally have all of these mentorees and I'm like,
[26:47] Speaker 1: you want me to be your mentor? I'm going to
[26:49] Speaker 1: be your Tor mentor. But I literally am. I'm like,
[26:53] Speaker 1: what the hell? You want me to do this and
[26:56] Speaker 1: you haven't done that? No. Oh, I love that. So
[26:58] Speaker 1: it gives me a really great excuse to nag.
[27:00] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[27:01] Speaker 1: Without having to nag my family.
[27:02] Speaker 2: Yeah, it gives you an outlet. Yes, it does.
[27:05] Speaker 1: It gives me a nagging outlet.
[27:06] Speaker 2: So what are you going to, like, so try this. Like,
[27:07] Speaker 2: what are you going to?
[27:08] Speaker 1: I don't know. I've got quite a bit in the pipeline. Well, yeah.
[27:13] Speaker 2: I mean, the socials are popular.
[27:14] Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, the socials, yeah.
[27:15] Speaker 2: But that's just one element.
[27:17] Speaker 1: And I think the thing is with the traders is
[27:19] Speaker 1: what you really enjoy and what you really enjoy doing.
[27:21] Speaker 1: I've obviously still got my podcast. I've turned that into
[27:24] Speaker 1: a little bit of a round table thing whilst the
[27:26] Speaker 1: traders have been on. But yeah, I think, you know,
[27:30] Speaker 1: who knows? I've got a bit of a renovation coming up.
[27:33] Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
[27:33] Speaker 2: Yeah, we can bond over that.
[27:34] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[27:35] Speaker 2: What are you doing?
[27:36] Speaker 1: Maybe another book.
[27:37] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Have you written a memoir?
[27:40] Speaker 1: Yeah. You know what? Look, I'm too open a book.
[27:42] Speaker 1: Everyone knows everything about me. Why are they going to
[27:44] Speaker 1: buy it and read what? That's why.
[27:45] Speaker 2: Because you're really funny.
[27:47] Speaker 1: They're going to read it to buy something that they
[27:49] Speaker 1: already know. They're like, oh, my God, she's told me
[27:51] Speaker 1: everything about her entire life.
[27:53] Speaker 2: I think people love that.
[27:54] Speaker 1: No. But, you know, look, and that's the thing. My
[27:57] Speaker 1: big thing is a lot about helping as well.
[27:59] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[27:59] Speaker 1: And I think, you know, life is a life of service.
[28:02] Speaker 1: If you do a bit of mentoring, you do this.
[28:04] Speaker 1: You offer some, you know, free goal setting.
[28:06] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[28:06] Speaker 1: Do that and you can help people. You get so
[28:08] Speaker 1: much more out of it than the person. The person
[28:10] Speaker 1: walks away feeling beaten up and they've got to do
[28:13] Speaker 1: all this work. I'm like, gee, I feel good about
[28:15] Speaker 1: myself for helping that person.
[28:17] Speaker 2: Goodbye. You're growing wings. I'm a saint. Exactly.
[28:19] Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I'm so cool.
[28:21] Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, you're so cool. You're so cool.
[28:23] Speaker 1: Yeah. So there's lots of hats.
[28:24] Speaker 2: You could do Celebrity Apprentice. I've always wanted to do
[28:27] Speaker 2: that one.
[28:27] Speaker 1: Oh, yes, yes.
[28:28] Speaker 2: Because that's one you can really dress up.
[28:29] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I would definitely. I would definitely be interested
[28:31] Speaker 1: in something like that. And I think, look, for me also,
[28:33] Speaker 1: you know, I'm talking back at the Property Council this
[28:36] Speaker 1: year and, you know, women in property and, you know,
[28:39] Speaker 1: I was sort of– the forefront, but, you know, I've
[28:41] Speaker 1: been in male-dominated industries from the time I was 18
[28:44] Speaker 1: and I've never seen it as being a disadvantage. You know,
[28:46] Speaker 1: I've never seen being a woman as a disadvantage. I've
[28:49] Speaker 1: always seen it almost as an advantage. So, you know,
[28:51] Speaker 1: I've had, I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but
[28:54] Speaker 1: it's always ebbs and flows. You know, I went from
[28:56] Speaker 1: foreign exchange to working for, you know, with Ritz Carlton,
[28:59] Speaker 1: with Madonna and, you know, Princess Diana and all those.
[29:03] Speaker 2: Sorry, just circle, just drill down on that, please.
[29:05] Speaker 1: All of them.
[29:06] Speaker 2: What do you mean?
[29:06] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[29:07] Speaker 1: And got Michael Hutchins, Kylie Minogue. Yeah. So all of those,
[29:14] Speaker 1: they stayed at our hotel and I was Associate Director
[29:17] Speaker 1: of Sales and Marketing back then. Wow. So I met
[29:19] Speaker 1: them all. I met Fergie.
[29:22] Speaker 2: Oh, not the Black Eyed Peas.
[29:24] Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
[29:24] Speaker 2: One either.
[29:25] Speaker 3: No, no.
[29:27] Speaker 1: You know, James Taylor was one of my faves. He
[29:29] Speaker 1: was unbelievable. Wow. Neil Diamond was what made me go
[29:33] Speaker 1: and live in Italy. He tipped me over the edge.
[29:35] Speaker 1: He'd just gotten divorced. I was looking after his mother.
[29:37] Speaker 1: He ran off with the room service attendant. took her
[29:40] Speaker 1: to Melbourne with him on tour. But, yeah, no, he
[29:43] Speaker 1: definitely tipped me over the edge, Neil Diamond. So the
[29:45] Speaker 1: biggest tour in the world, can you guess? Okay, so
[29:49] Speaker 1: obviously they're all very big Jewish stars, Neil Diamond, Barbara Streisand,
[29:54] Speaker 1: all that. So a guy called Patrick Stansfield does all
[29:57] Speaker 1: of those tours. But what would you think? Any idea?
[30:00] Speaker 2: Was it Prince?
[30:01] Speaker 1: No, the Papal Tour. So he does. He does the
[30:07] Speaker 1: Papal Tour. Get out.
[30:08] Speaker 3: Yep.
[30:09] Speaker 1: So he does all those megastars. Like Neil Diamond had
[30:12] Speaker 1: a 200-page dossier of requirements, even things down to metal
[30:17] Speaker 1: rubbish bins because he'd had a fire once and it
[30:20] Speaker 1: had caught the plastic rubbish bin on fire. the curtains
[30:24] Speaker 1: blacked out from the outside in, exactly like I had
[30:26] Speaker 1: on Traders. I thought I had to get up and
[30:29] Speaker 1: sing or do something. I'm like, why have they blocked
[30:32] Speaker 1: me out from any sunlight? What's going on in this
[30:34] Speaker 1: manor house?
[30:35] Speaker 2: Oh, my God. No, I think you need to describe it.
[30:38] Speaker 1: So there is, you know, there's so many different, you know,
[30:41] Speaker 1: like where are you going to be in the next
[30:42] Speaker 1: 10 years?
[30:43] Speaker 2: Oh, God.
[30:44] Speaker 1: Yeah, but no one knows.
[30:45] Speaker 2: No, and what you said before at Ebbs and Flows,
[30:47] Speaker 2: it's also– can be stressful but it's also so exciting.
[30:50] Speaker 1: Yeah and you've got to also have that evolution for
[30:52] Speaker 1: yourself and that's what i always say to the kids
[30:54] Speaker 1: is what career you start out with doesn't mean the
[30:56] Speaker 1: career you're going to end up with and you've got
[30:59] Speaker 1: to evolve and you can create that job to sound
[31:01] Speaker 1: like anything you want yeah obviously you're not going to
[31:03] Speaker 1: be able to go and be a doctor if you
[31:05] Speaker 1: don't have a medical degree.
[31:06] Speaker 2: But i don't think people want me to do brain surgery.
[31:08] Speaker 1: But you know what i mean like you can you
[31:09] Speaker 1: can really change and i and i love seeing that
[31:11] Speaker 1: look i look at myself and how many times I
[31:14] Speaker 1: never thought I'd do Housewives. I never thought I'd do
[31:16] Speaker 1: The Traitors after that. But things come knocking on your
[31:18] Speaker 1: door and I will always say yes. And I think
[31:21] Speaker 1: no matter what.
[31:22] Speaker 2: Right, you make it work.
[31:23] Speaker 1: But I wouldn't, I'm a celebrity or, you know, eating
[31:25] Speaker 1: balls or eating balls. I do that too much anyway.
[31:29] Speaker 1: I do that.
[31:30] Speaker 2: I don't try for that.
[31:31] Speaker 1: I do that for free.
[31:33] Speaker 2: See, I didn't have, oh, did I eat a ball? No,
[31:35] Speaker 2: I ate an ostrich eyeball.
[31:37] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, see.
[31:38] Speaker 2: Pops in your mouth.
[31:38] Speaker 1: No.
[31:40] Speaker 2: No, don't do that.
[31:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not interested in that.
[31:42] Speaker 2: Petty flirt.
[31:42] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I just, yeah, not interested in
[31:45] Speaker 1: that sort of thing. But look, you know, I think
[31:48] Speaker 1: this whole space, you know, is evolving. And with AI now,
[31:52] Speaker 1: we don't know where any of this is going to
[31:53] Speaker 1: end up.
[31:54] Speaker 2: It's crazy.
[31:54] Speaker 1: And you've just got to be along for the ride
[31:56] Speaker 1: and you've got to be, you know, able to pivot
[31:58] Speaker 1: and able to take opportunities.
[32:00] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[32:01] Speaker 1: You know, that's what for me life's exciting. And I
[32:04] Speaker 1: went to that premiere of Dalliance last night. It's about,
[32:06] Speaker 1: you know, 60-year-olds having mad sex. And it's like as
[32:09] Speaker 1: if everything's over. You know, I think you can never think, oh,
[32:12] Speaker 1: I'm too old for this or I'm too old for that. No.
[32:15] Speaker 1: You've just got to go for it.
[32:16] Speaker 2: Yeah. And just have fun. Yeah, exactly. You were just
[32:20] Speaker 2: so entertaining to watch. Oh, thank you. So, yeah, please
[32:23] Speaker 2: just keep, you know, entertaining because you're properly funny. You're
[32:27] Speaker 2: so interesting.
[32:28] Speaker 1: Well, I need your housewives if you and Reece come
[32:30] Speaker 1: back on it.
[32:30] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[32:31] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. And we could do Alvin as well.
[32:33] Speaker 2: Oh, for sure.
[32:34] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[32:34] Speaker 2: That would be messy.
[32:35] Speaker 1: It could be the gays.
[32:36] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[32:36] Speaker 1: Gay household.
[32:37] Speaker 2: I would love that. Yeah.
[32:39] Speaker 1: And I'd get Kirby, find her someone new, get her
[32:41] Speaker 1: married off. We could just have them, you know, it
[32:44] Speaker 1: could be all.
[32:44] Speaker 2: I'm so in.
[32:45] Speaker 1: Wouldn't that be fabulous? Yes. They've never done it. I know.
[32:48] Speaker 2: I think Annie's been asked before.
[32:49] Speaker 1: I think it'd be a lot less bitchy.
[32:52] Speaker 2: Well, that's what I've wondered. I do.
[32:54] Speaker 3: I do.
[32:55] Speaker 2: Surely Melbourne's going to go again.
[32:56] Speaker 1: There's so many rumours. No, I think Melbourne. That's what
[32:58] Speaker 1: they're saying.
[32:58] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[32:59] Speaker 1: Yeah. great you know it's it is such a fabulous franchise.
[33:02] Speaker 2: Yeah yeah it's good yeah because Sydney was hectic but
[33:06] Speaker 2: I didn't mind how hectic it was.
[33:08] Speaker 1: Yeah I just think with work I don't mind hectic
[33:12] Speaker 1: but I think with work you've got to have it
[33:13] Speaker 1: enjoyable when it doesn't become enjoyable then you cannot do
[33:17] Speaker 1: that job anymore and you know I have a lot
[33:19] Speaker 1: of people like messaging me saying oh yeah but you're
[33:21] Speaker 1: in a fortunate situation where you don't have to worry
[33:24] Speaker 1: about money and blah blah blah blah blah I'm like, well,
[33:26] Speaker 1: that wasn't always the case.
[33:27] Speaker 2: No.
[33:28] Speaker 1: But I would always do something I love.
[33:29] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[33:30] Speaker 1: And my dad was always like, you want to, you know,
[33:31] Speaker 1: be a waitress, be the best waitress there is.
[33:34] Speaker 2: You want to be this.
[33:35] Speaker 1: But if you're not happy in a job, do everything
[33:37] Speaker 1: in your power to get out of that job.
[33:38] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[33:39] Speaker 1: And do something that makes you happy.
[33:40] Speaker 2: Yeah. Create the opportunities.
[33:41] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
[33:42] Speaker 2: Oh, you're fascinating. Chrissy, thank you so much for coming in.
[33:45] Speaker 1: Thank you.
[33:46] Speaker 2: And yeah, I'm stoked that you're back on the screens.
[33:48] Speaker 2: I'm stoked that you and Rhys are besties because that
[33:52] Speaker 2: just is delicious to me. And, yeah, hopefully I'll– I'll
[33:55] Speaker 2: have to come to one of you and Rhys' shows.
[33:56] Speaker 2: Come to one of our shows. Could you do Christmas?
[33:58] Speaker 2: We'll come to dinner. Will you do Christmas? I don't
[33:59] Speaker 2: know about this year. Oh, okay. It's probably a bit
[34:02] Speaker 2: too late.
[34:02] Speaker 1: The Grinch.
[34:02] Speaker 2: The Grinch.
[34:03] Speaker 1: Christmas Grinch is here.
[34:04] Speaker 2: Well, Rhys is very hard to get in touch with. And, yeah,
[34:09] Speaker 2: we're both a bit busy.
[34:10] Speaker 1: Oh, I love that.
[34:11] Speaker 2: But I'll come to dinner of yours and then we'll
[34:13] Speaker 2: see each other in the boardroom when we're both doing
[34:15] Speaker 2: Celebrity Apprentice.
[34:15] Speaker 1: And I'll wait.
[34:16] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[34:16] Speaker 1: Looking forward to that.
[34:17] Speaker 2: You're the best. Enjoy a time in Melbourne.
[34:19] Speaker 1: Thank you so much. I will, Joel. I'll keep it
[34:21] Speaker 1: in black.
[34:21] Speaker 2: Oh, it looks right.
[34:22] Speaker 1: You never go back. Sorry, Joel.
