[2:12] Speaker 5: to New York, you can't judge the pizza off the
[2:15] Speaker 5: dollar slices in the city. Don't judge it over that.
[2:17] Speaker 3: So who got the best piece of you?
[2:19] Speaker 5: To me? I'm gonna go with Jamaica south Side Jamaica
[2:21] Speaker 5: queens were gonna eat it on the show too. I
[2:22] Speaker 5: should have brung your head too. Margarita's over Gabby though. Yeah,
[2:26] Speaker 5: Gabby's is Joe Ruth shit.
[2:28] Speaker 3: Okay, I'm just saying, no side.
[2:30] Speaker 5: No, Gabby's is good too. But when you think about
[2:35] Speaker 5: not Gabby, shout the Gabby too. Gabby's is like North Side,
[2:37] Speaker 5: like I even think they got pictures Joah ruined there.
[2:39] Speaker 5: But Gabby's is good too because like the ball and
[2:42] Speaker 5: go to Gabby's. But Margarita's is South Side, but that
[2:45] Speaker 5: that been open since Niggas was. Kids were talking about
[2:49] Speaker 5: thirty forty years in business. You want pizza, that's way

[3:10] Speaker 2: Ship, Okay in the building, man, nobody in Brooklyn, my man,
[3:15] Speaker 2: we're going Brooklyn.
[3:16] Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, I don't know. Everybody I know in
[3:17] Speaker 3: Brooklyn is Jamaican on haity, so I don't really know.
[3:21] Speaker 3: It's shot open my Jamaica.
[3:26] Speaker 2: Because I used to have rooms in Brooklyn. I used
[3:28] Speaker 2: to do squads. I used to do v in this,
[3:30] Speaker 2: I used to do footprints. I used to do all those.
[3:32] Speaker 3: A big shout out to me when we're gonna do Brooklyn.
[3:34] Speaker 2: We got a big shot out to Rashid Man, one
[3:35] Speaker 2: of the funniest commediant to ever do it. That was
[3:37] Speaker 2: Poppy Ain't no Ship. Remember that Jamaica dude, the Jamaica Store.
[3:42] Speaker 2: And Papy Ain't no Snitch. Yeah, Yeah, big shout.
[3:44] Speaker 3: Out to him.
[3:44] Speaker 5: That was Brooklyn, Brooklyn, you're working man.
[3:47] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[3:47] Speaker 2: I mean it's It's just been an interesting journey because
[3:49] Speaker 2: when I came to New York, I came to New
[3:50] Speaker 2: York homes.
[3:51] Speaker 3: I had never been here in my entire life. I
[3:53] Speaker 3: literally I met.
[3:54] Speaker 2: Dave Chappelle in the club and he was like, man,
[3:56] Speaker 2: if you ever want to find out if you're funny,
[3:58] Speaker 2: you got to go to New York. And I was like,
[4:00] Speaker 2: you know what I'm gonna go. I got off the
[4:02] Speaker 2: Greyhound bus with my daughter and I was like, all right,
[4:04] Speaker 2: New York, Let's see what we got to offer. I
[4:06] Speaker 2: was homeless for about a year. I used to sleep
[4:08] Speaker 2: outside of like Brian Park and the fin Institute and
[4:11] Speaker 2: big shot out to the Finistitude. There was this Haitian
[4:13] Speaker 2: security guard that would let me sleep every night by
[4:15] Speaker 2: the events because he was warm, and he would tell
[4:17] Speaker 2: me just be out by six o'clock. And that's what
[4:19] Speaker 2: we would do, me and my daughter and there. I
[4:21] Speaker 2: just constantly started doing comedy and more comedy, and it
[4:24] Speaker 2: just led to me doing other things. And I think
[4:26] Speaker 2: the funniest thing about it is I used to sleep
[4:28] Speaker 2: sometimes outside of fifteen fifteen Broadway. We all know that CMTV,
[4:32] Speaker 2: and I was like, one day I'm gonna be on
[4:33] Speaker 2: that network. You know, our start off as the womup
[4:36] Speaker 2: guy making people laugh in the line and just.
[4:38] Speaker 3: Taking that and elevating that to the next level.
[4:40] Speaker 2: And then went from being a warm guy to being
[4:42] Speaker 2: on Wild Now and a whole bunch of other TV shows.
[4:44] Speaker 5: How'd you get to WILDNOWT because Wilding Out is, you know,
[4:46] Speaker 5: a big syndicated show, sheltering Nick Cann and shelter everybody
[4:50] Speaker 5: else from wild'n Now? Extremely funny. How many years was it?
[4:53] Speaker 5: Ten years now?
[4:53] Speaker 6: To me?
[4:53] Speaker 3: Wow, I was been on for twenty six seasons, so
[4:55] Speaker 3: it's been shit.
[4:56] Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't even realize that we can get tired
[5:00] Speaker 5: a while.
[5:00] Speaker 2: And now twenty six season the longest urban running comedy
[5:05] Speaker 2: Televions Showstery. Yeah, twenty six season coming up on twenty
[5:08] Speaker 2: seven now, so we're about to do a whole new
[5:10] Speaker 2: season and we're doing it live.
[5:11] Speaker 3: Man.
[5:12] Speaker 2: And if you want to talk about Queens, man, I
[5:14] Speaker 2: actually started this Queens. No, I'm just saying it.
[5:17] Speaker 3: It's just funny. Queen.
[5:21] Speaker 2: It's just funny because he said Queens, because I actually,
[5:24] Speaker 2: you know, I started the while now touring Queens.
[5:26] Speaker 3: It's just funny that I look at that because it
[5:28] Speaker 3: started from Nick.
[5:29] Speaker 2: You know, I used I was writing for Nick's stand
[5:31] Speaker 2: up Don't Shoot, and you know, I wrote for a
[5:32] Speaker 2: lot of comedians and write with comedians, and we were
[5:35] Speaker 2: doing that.
[5:35] Speaker 3: I was right for me.
[5:36] Speaker 2: He was watching Kat Williams and we was at I
[5:38] Speaker 2: think it was on Ontario at the Anahon and he
[5:40] Speaker 2: was watching Cat and he was like, yo, man, one day,
[5:42] Speaker 2: I want to do that.
[5:42] Speaker 3: Man. I was like, what are you talking about it? Like?
[5:44] Speaker 2: I want to sell out a Reada's look Cat, He's
[5:45] Speaker 2: just there in front of like six seven thousand, and
[5:47] Speaker 2: I was like, that's what your dream is and I
[5:49] Speaker 2: got to give niggas flowers because Nick put me on
[5:51] Speaker 2: the show and took me under it's like, and took
[5:53] Speaker 2: me on his wings and let me write for me,
[5:55] Speaker 2: let me do all these different things. So I was like, man,
[5:57] Speaker 2: if that's your dream, I got you. We're gonna sailing
[5:59] Speaker 2: down to this is six months, bro. And he was
[6:01] Speaker 2: like really, and he just looked at me like a
[6:03] Speaker 2: So I went ahead and I started and I booked
[6:05] Speaker 2: it and I did it Amazura in Queens and I
[6:08] Speaker 2: had fifteen hundred people show up and Nick thought it
[6:10] Speaker 2: was a joke.
[6:11] Speaker 3: So Nick was like, man, what are you talking about?
[6:13] Speaker 3: We got a show.
[6:13] Speaker 2: I was like, remember you told me you want to
[6:15] Speaker 2: do this and this today you said you was free.
[6:16] Speaker 2: So we got Amazur. And he's like, look, man, I
[6:18] Speaker 2: got a show. It's Chicago that's paying me way more
[6:20] Speaker 2: than that. And I was like, listen, I promise you.
[6:23] Speaker 2: I can't give it to you now, but when you
[6:25] Speaker 2: before you step on stage, I'll have ten thousand dollars.
[6:27] Speaker 3: Morning you was getting in Chicago.
[6:29] Speaker 2: And God blessed me and I hand out lighters every
[6:31] Speaker 2: day and I promoted the hell out of it and
[6:32] Speaker 2: it went from just one show with fifteen hundred to
[6:34] Speaker 2: two shows back to back, and then we did another
[6:37] Speaker 2: show on Patchhok at the sound Garden. It was crazy,
[6:40] Speaker 2: so which is crazy? Yeah, And it started right there
[6:41] Speaker 2: in front of a room of fifteen hundred people. The
[6:43] Speaker 2: next thing, you know, six months later, we was on
[6:46] Speaker 2: every single arena that was and we was doing like
[6:50] Speaker 2: I was number two on post Start that year for
[6:52] Speaker 2: promoting it. Yeah, like pushing it together. I sold out
[6:54] Speaker 2: to you talking that post. Oh my god, I still
[6:57] Speaker 2: hold the record in Detroit. I still hold a record.
[6:59] Speaker 3: I mean, now you try.
[6:59] Speaker 2: I still hold a record in DC for selling out
[7:02] Speaker 2: two arenas in one night. We did show Palace Arena,
[7:04] Speaker 2: we did I think fourteen thousand, and then we went
[7:06] Speaker 2: over to Capitol One, took a police escort and did
[7:08] Speaker 2: seventeen five hundred.
[7:10] Speaker 3: We had a seven o'clock show on a nine o'clock show.
[7:12] Speaker 5: So how does a comedian turned into slash promoter? How
[7:16] Speaker 5: do you transition to that?
[7:17] Speaker 3: People not allowing you on stage?
[7:21] Speaker 2: People and the big shout out to art New York comedians,
[7:24] Speaker 2: but they got this like hazing thing where it's like
[7:27] Speaker 2: they'll put you on when you not funny to make
[7:29] Speaker 2: fun of you, and then when you get funny, they
[7:30] Speaker 2: won't book you no more. And being told no so
[7:33] Speaker 2: many times, I was like, you know what, I'm gonna
[7:35] Speaker 2: do my own rooms. I'm gonna do my own grind.
[7:38] Speaker 2: And I started doing like little bars, like squads and
[7:41] Speaker 2: venus and like footprints, and then next before you knew it,
[7:44] Speaker 2: I had had like six rooms. And then Rashi passed away,
[7:47] Speaker 2: and I remember his brother in law coming to me
[7:49] Speaker 2: and say, hey, they about to lose the rooms that
[7:51] Speaker 2: Rashi had because RASHIU had like five rooms. And I
[7:54] Speaker 2: was like, well, I'm gonna let that happen. Man, you
[7:55] Speaker 2: know what, I'll do the rooms. I think the budget
[7:58] Speaker 2: was like eight hundred dollars. I was like, take six
[8:00] Speaker 2: hundred and give it to his kids and tell y'all
[8:02] Speaker 2: take that, and I just do it for the two
[8:04] Speaker 2: hundred dollars and I I'll book one comedian. So I
[8:06] Speaker 2: was getting a hundred dollars and I was like, I'm
[8:07] Speaker 2: gonna keep this so his family could do it. And
[8:09] Speaker 2: then that turned out crazy. Out of overnight, I literally
[8:12] Speaker 2: had twelve rooms. At one point I ran to York.
[8:14] Speaker 2: You couldn't go to a Borough that I didn't have
[8:15] Speaker 2: a room. Man. I used to have two shows every
[8:17] Speaker 2: single night, and when you came to New York, you
[8:19] Speaker 2: had to say Rip because Rip could put you on
[8:20] Speaker 2: for two weeks straight and just doing comedy. And then
[8:23] Speaker 2: I turned that into just like promoting myself like any
[8:26] Speaker 2: other artists. And I'm like, you know, I'm gonna promote myself.
[8:27] Speaker 2: I'm gonna do this, And everybody kept coming around me like, hey, Rip,
[8:30] Speaker 2: can I be on the show?
[8:31] Speaker 3: Can I do this?
[8:32] Speaker 2: So then I just tried to start uplifting us all
[8:34] Speaker 2: and then just next thing you know, I was doing.
[8:35] Speaker 3: That's how the April Fools came about.
[8:37] Speaker 2: I was like, all right, cool, you know what, instead
[8:39] Speaker 2: of doing it by myself and pushing myself, I'm gonna
[8:41] Speaker 2: take all my friends and we're gonna go ahead and
[8:42] Speaker 2: sell out the Westbury Music Fiere. We're gonna do something
[8:44] Speaker 2: and nobody ever done five thousand people.
[8:46] Speaker 3: Just to see us.
[8:47] Speaker 2: And ten years later now I'm doing eighteen thousand, nineteen
[8:50] Speaker 2: thousand people. I mean, we got regular comedians doing Chris
[8:54] Speaker 2: Brown Drake numbers. We're performing in a round like this
[8:57] Speaker 2: been a phenomenon. Sold out the Garden in three weeks
[9:00] Speaker 2: on a Wednesday.
[9:00] Speaker 5: Yeah, because it seems like everybody from Wilding Out like
[9:03] Speaker 5: took their success and did other things like it wasn't like, yo,
[9:08] Speaker 5: we're just gonna piggyback off of Nick Cannon. Yo, look,
[9:10] Speaker 5: we're gonna do our own thing, like everybody off that
[9:13] Speaker 5: show was kind of doing their own thing.
[9:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's an institution I look at, while not
[9:19] Speaker 2: as the best institution you could ever be on for conference,
[9:21] Speaker 2: and big shout out to Nile and Nick because they
[9:24] Speaker 2: put you through like a boot camp, Like you come
[9:26] Speaker 2: in it's one thing and you leave out as another.
[9:28] Speaker 2: You have to find your own voice in that show,
[9:31] Speaker 2: and they'll be screaming at you. You'll see some of
[9:32] Speaker 2: your favorite streamers that and Instagram famous.
[9:37] Speaker 3: People that just can't hack it.
[9:38] Speaker 2: They'll be they'll be crying because they were like, you
[9:40] Speaker 2: are not funny just because you're funny on your phone,
[9:42] Speaker 2: it doesn't mean nothing, doesn't mean shit.
[9:44] Speaker 3: And people just walking out crying and they be hurting feelings.
[9:46] Speaker 2: But if you make it through that other side, you
[9:49] Speaker 2: make it too, and you find out who you are
[9:50] Speaker 2: and what your voice and your strength is.
[9:52] Speaker 3: So that's why you see the rip Michaels.
[9:53] Speaker 2: That's why you see the eighty five Souths, That's why
[9:55] Speaker 2: you see the Matt Rice, That's why you see the
[9:57] Speaker 2: Kevin Hart send the mic Apps because everybody he came
[10:00] Speaker 2: from the institution, the d Rays and the Corey Hoakan,
[10:02] Speaker 2: we all come from that would out there.
[10:04] Speaker 1: You ever to performed somewhere and didn't have a good
[10:06] Speaker 1: turn on how you wanted to, like it was a
[10:08] Speaker 1: bad night man that ever, how you bounced back from that,
[10:12] Speaker 1: like have a performance and it didn't go as you playing?
[10:15] Speaker 2: Like, oh man, we all get boomed. Any giffings that
[10:20] Speaker 2: happened any night man? Of course? Man like coming up
[10:23] Speaker 2: in the game of course. I think I think the
[10:25] Speaker 2: worst boy I ever had when I was in college
[10:26] Speaker 2: because I actually start doing comedy when I was thirteen
[10:29] Speaker 2: years old. My auntie Jockey whatever, Really my auntie is
[10:32] Speaker 2: my daddy's girlfriend.
[10:33] Speaker 3: But he made me call high. I didn't know that.
[10:36] Speaker 3: I didn't know that my.
[10:37] Speaker 5: Aunt I had an idea.
[10:40] Speaker 3: I really didn't know it was my daddy girlfriend. I
[10:42] Speaker 3: didn't know. So happy I was doing comedy.
[10:44] Speaker 2: I was like, Mama, look, mama, look, Jockey bought me
[10:47] Speaker 2: like your god, damn aunty, your daddy girlfriend, go outside.
[10:51] Speaker 3: Your uncle Charles, go take I had uncle Charles too.
[10:54] Speaker 2: Don't get a twisted My parents been together forty two years,
[10:58] Speaker 2: cheating one.
[11:04] Speaker 3: And that's the truth. We would think I'm joking, but
[11:05] Speaker 3: that's the truth.
[11:06] Speaker 1: Store.
[11:06] Speaker 3: I love my payer, no judge of my family. I
[11:07] Speaker 3: don't live with us.
[11:08] Speaker 5: Good the lardest job in the world and make people laugh.
[11:13] Speaker 5: It's not it's not easy to make people laugh and
[11:16] Speaker 5: be in front of a crowd, you know. And we
[11:19] Speaker 5: are the real report, so you know we're gonna ask
[11:21] Speaker 5: you who are your top five comedians m hm of
[11:25] Speaker 5: all time?
[11:26] Speaker 3: For you, of all times? That's a difference. So if
[11:28] Speaker 3: you're gonna go all times, you're always gonna go grades.
[11:30] Speaker 2: But if you're gonna go who are my favorite comedians,
[11:32] Speaker 2: that wouldn't be of all times, because if you're gonna
[11:33] Speaker 2: go all times, you're gonna have to Eddie Murphy. You're
[11:35] Speaker 2: doing the Richard Pryors, you know. But if you like
[11:37] Speaker 2: who my favorite comedian is, that's grinding and doing it.
[11:39] Speaker 2: I would say, I'm gonna get big shout out Tony Roberts.
[11:41] Speaker 2: I'm gonna get big shout out to uh to T K.
[11:43] Speaker 3: Kirkle.
[11:43] Speaker 2: I'm gonna get big shout out to uh Dion Cole,
[11:46] Speaker 2: Like these dudes are like revolutionary because you got to
[11:48] Speaker 2: realize I watched deaf comedy Jam as.
[11:50] Speaker 3: A kid and seeing all these cats before I was
[11:54] Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
[11:54] Speaker 2: I was a little kid watch up comedy be watching
[11:57] Speaker 2: Dion Colon on him at at ten years old, going like, wow,
[12:00] Speaker 2: one day I want to be like, this is what
[12:02] Speaker 2: I want to do. And it's weird being in a
[12:04] Speaker 2: position I am because that was my only dreaming. This
[12:06] Speaker 2: whole ship was like to be just on death Jam.
[12:08] Speaker 2: I thought that was it. I thought that once you
[12:09] Speaker 2: got that.
[12:10] Speaker 5: You was rich.
[12:11] Speaker 2: Not rich comedy back then they were only paying people
[12:14] Speaker 2: seven hundred seven.
[12:17] Speaker 1: When you find out what it is.
[12:19] Speaker 5: I mean, we looked at it like, come on, that
[12:21] Speaker 5: was the biggest. That was like the biggest comedy show
[12:24] Speaker 5: to watch back in the days on TV and left
[12:27] Speaker 5: Gym Comedy. All the grease we went through, how many
[12:29] Speaker 5: how many grades.
[12:30] Speaker 1: Came everybody whoever you could think of, everybody can think
[12:33] Speaker 1: of Bernie Max Tomorrow and I'm in everybody on death
[12:38] Speaker 1: rest in peace. Everybody was on that though, man, everybody.
[12:41] Speaker 5: Bernie Mack, Yeah, he go ahead, No, I was gonna say.
[12:45] Speaker 5: Bernie Mac had a style like what's my what's the
[12:48] Speaker 5: father that played in Kid Robin Harris, that was the
[12:51] Speaker 5: Black Father God, that's one of my first to me.
[12:56] Speaker 5: Him and Bernie Mac had that same kind of style.
[12:59] Speaker 3: Bernie was east Man.
[13:00] Speaker 2: And I remember Bernie Mack when I was like there
[13:03] Speaker 2: was twelve going inside the Cotton Club and he was
[13:04] Speaker 2: used to host it. And they used to bring me
[13:06] Speaker 2: in through the kitchen because I wasn't old enough to
[13:09] Speaker 2: come inside, and they would just let me perform and
[13:10] Speaker 2: they would sneak me right back outside.
[13:12] Speaker 3: So and just watch him.
[13:13] Speaker 2: He would always just tear that apart man him and
[13:15] Speaker 2: back then Diane Quarter and like Tony Schofield and just
[13:19] Speaker 2: like it was just a fraternity of just like people,
[13:22] Speaker 2: just a brotherhood. Damon Williams, just so many dope comedians
[13:25] Speaker 2: that just embrace you to be like, hey, man, let's
[13:27] Speaker 2: do this. But if you wasn't funny man who they don't,
[13:30] Speaker 2: but New York don't play around there. Of course with
[13:32] Speaker 2: Sydney and clubs, they would throw pepper pot on you.
[13:35] Speaker 2: They would throw oxtail and gravy comedian, you know, Mop
[13:38] Speaker 2: Bucket throwing him Kelly one time and I was like.
[13:42] Speaker 3: Whoa, and Hed was like, what are we gonna do?
[13:44] Speaker 2: I was like, We're gonna get you a town thet
[13:49] Speaker 2: you some cotton help.
[13:51] Speaker 5: New York is tough, man. Remember show time at the
[13:53] Speaker 5: Apollo back in the day's mother throw everything?
[13:58] Speaker 2: Yeah, man, yeah, just just just a time of But
[14:00] Speaker 2: that don't happen anymore. There is no more boring now.
[14:02] Speaker 2: Everybody just sits and watches and they just go on
[14:05] Speaker 2: your page and say you're not ship later on. But
[14:07] Speaker 2: they don't really boot like they used to. Well, sometimes
[14:09] Speaker 2: they do sometimes in my shows that I put on.
[14:11] Speaker 2: Sometimes you can get it.
[14:12] Speaker 5: How was it when? Because I know you brought Til
[14:15] Speaker 5: to one of your shows and it was.
[14:17] Speaker 3: Cricket that Okay, First of all, let me explain.
[14:21] Speaker 5: First of all, t I did you think a rapper
[14:23] Speaker 5: should be doing comedy?
[14:24] Speaker 2: Of course, of course is a funny, funny comedian and person.
[14:29] Speaker 2: He has great stories and it's just I just think
[14:33] Speaker 2: it's that's that night, and he went around the.
[14:34] Speaker 3: Country blaming me for getting boot.
[14:36] Speaker 2: First of all, I didn't set t I up t
[14:38] Speaker 2: I everybody knew you was coming.
[14:41] Speaker 3: I did it. I did.
[14:43] Speaker 2: He tried to say that they thought he was doing
[14:45] Speaker 2: music and they boot him. No, the crowd knew he
[14:47] Speaker 2: was doing comedy. I promoted this comedy. I had his
[14:50] Speaker 2: drops in comedy for the first time.
[14:51] Speaker 3: That was the whole appeal.
[14:53] Speaker 1: Promoted him coming out to perform. No, So when he
[14:56] Speaker 1: came out crickets doing stand up comedy, they were like,
[14:59] Speaker 1: what the fuck?
[15:00] Speaker 3: No, he got a notroary. I did not.
[15:03] Speaker 1: Man, y'all, y'all put you're not gonna put that on him.
[15:06] Speaker 3: I did not.
[15:07] Speaker 2: He came up and he went up and the crowd
[15:10] Speaker 2: was so happy to SEETI and.
[15:12] Speaker 3: Everybody knew was doing comedy. No as a comedian.
[15:14] Speaker 2: That was the whole reason everybody bought tickets because he
[15:17] Speaker 2: had been doing comedy. It wasn't his first show, so
[15:19] Speaker 2: they hadn't been doing comedy across any change the name
[15:20] Speaker 2: of Tip, so he'd been doing comedy for a minute.
[15:23] Speaker 2: So when he said it that he was doing comedy,
[15:25] Speaker 2: because my friend right for him, and he went up
[15:28] Speaker 2: and the crowd you watched the video yourself. The crowd
[15:31] Speaker 2: listened to him for about seven minutes. They was like
[15:34] Speaker 2: this they didn't blew right away. They was like this
[15:36] Speaker 2: seven second no, no, no, no.
[15:37] Speaker 3: They listened to him. They was like t I, and
[15:40] Speaker 3: then he was like yeah, and then it was like okay, okay,
[15:44] Speaker 3: mm hm, they gonna take them with you.
[15:49] Speaker 2: I think he did a joke about like something about
[15:51] Speaker 2: heated seats in the gas station bathroom and the girl
[15:53] Speaker 2: sitting down.
[15:53] Speaker 3: That's when they had it for him.
[15:56] Speaker 1: Wrote some bad jokes.
[15:57] Speaker 3: I don't think nobody wrote wrote jokes for that.
[15:59] Speaker 2: I'm just saying that he just and he took it personal,
[16:01] Speaker 2: like it happens, bro, like you get booed.
[16:04] Speaker 5: It just you know, how do you feel about comedians
[16:06] Speaker 5: getting mad at people with the crowd.
[16:07] Speaker 3: I think that's wrong.
[16:08] Speaker 2: Any given night he can happen. I just want to
[16:10] Speaker 2: say that, any given night, it can happen. Like the
[16:12] Speaker 2: crowd looked at him and it didn't end bad because afterwards,
[16:15] Speaker 2: I didn't make fun of TI. I didn't go out
[16:17] Speaker 2: there and rose t. I like we as comedians. No,
[16:20] Speaker 2: I didn't go out there. I played his music and said,
[16:22] Speaker 2: why would y'all do that to a legend.
[16:24] Speaker 3: That's a legend. DJ Mvy plays some music for him.
[16:26] Speaker 2: We played all his kids and we rocked out for
[16:28] Speaker 2: a few seconds the show that's the King.
[16:30] Speaker 3: He tried something different and that's what it was like.
[16:32] Speaker 2: The crowd was just looking at him like, hey man,
[16:34] Speaker 2: you can have whatever you like, but it ain't comedy.
[16:41] Speaker 2: And his wife was there on the other side. She
[16:43] Speaker 2: was like, who can you run to because she couldn't
[16:45] Speaker 2: escape either, to feel and it just happens like he
[16:50] Speaker 2: took it too personal, cut his hair off, he got
[16:52] Speaker 2: the number one song You're back wrapping now, Like it's
[16:55] Speaker 2: just maybe that was the thing for him to do,
[16:57] Speaker 2: but go back. But he's funny and listen, if t
[17:00] Speaker 2: I is watching, you are more than welcome to come
[17:02] Speaker 2: back anytime.
[17:04] Speaker 5: Watch. I'm sorry we just.
[17:10] Speaker 3: Watching this ain't not watching, but I just ain't got I.
[17:15] Speaker 5: Feel like, no, this is why I feel like, Look,
[17:18] Speaker 5: this is a purpose, No.
[17:21] Speaker 3: Te I get you some to b so you can
[17:22] Speaker 3: watch the ship. Yo.
[17:26] Speaker 5: Look The reason why I say that because like when
[17:28] Speaker 5: I see him, like I seen another clip of him
[17:31] Speaker 5: like arguing with somebody. You can't for me if I'm
[17:34] Speaker 5: a comedian, I don't want to be a comedian because
[17:36] Speaker 5: people say I'm a funny motherfucker. I don't want to
[17:38] Speaker 5: go to the show and argue with nobody. And to me,
[17:41] Speaker 5: a good comedian, you don't got to just pick somebody
[17:44] Speaker 5: in the crowd to fuck with them, like I'm not coming. Look,
[17:47] Speaker 5: I don't want to come to your show and get roasted,
[17:49] Speaker 5: my nigga.
[17:50] Speaker 1: But that is real. That's why I never was that's possible.
[17:53] Speaker 3: That's a new way.
[17:53] Speaker 2: That's a new way of doing that's called, you know, CrowdWork.
[17:56] Speaker 2: So sometimes that is cool to do CrowdWork. And that's
[17:58] Speaker 2: like because sometimes people sit there and you want them
[18:00] Speaker 2: to have a good time. So you see somebody say
[18:01] Speaker 2: like unfold y'all on man, enjoy your thought. Man while
[18:03] Speaker 2: you looking like the last kid picked baking. I'm just saying, no,
[18:06] Speaker 2: I'm not saying that. I'm not saying I try to
[18:09] Speaker 2: make it home. That's like, see y'all a smile with
[18:14] Speaker 2: me on the camera. Rip go downstairs, let me to
[18:19] Speaker 2: ride the hall, Gonna get in that car, and it'll
[18:22] Speaker 2: be like Rip had an unexpected hard on the way.
[18:25] Speaker 2: They'd be like another one.
[18:28] Speaker 3: Another hard Rip.
[18:29] Speaker 5: Like it's cool when like somebody's doing something stupid, like
[18:32] Speaker 5: you talking like every spears, I've seen somebody walking by
[18:36] Speaker 5: and like this motherfucker like going to the bathroom doing
[18:39] Speaker 5: your show. Now you deserve to get got. But if
[18:42] Speaker 5: I'm in the front, I don't want to take that bullet. Man,
[18:45] Speaker 5: I don't want to because y'all motherfuckers be roasting motherfucker.
[18:48] Speaker 3: But it's all the fun.
[18:49] Speaker 2: I think some comedians do it wrong, and I think
[18:51] Speaker 2: some comedians that you know do do it.
[18:53] Speaker 3: But it can't be a lot of fun. It can't
[18:54] Speaker 3: be CrowdWork can be a lot a lot of fun.
[18:56] Speaker 2: Like that's you know, I was the woman guy for
[18:58] Speaker 2: so many years, and like CrowdWork now, thanks to a
[19:00] Speaker 2: lot of people, is revolution because you make jokes for
[19:02] Speaker 2: people in that in that space. But just roasting somebody, no,
[19:05] Speaker 2: I think that's wrong. But like enjoying the moment, asking
[19:07] Speaker 2: the question, involving in their lives and and and and
[19:11] Speaker 2: bringing joy to it, I think that's I think that's dope.
[19:13] Speaker 2: Because my name is actually ripped Mike Heels. It's not Michaels,
[19:16] Speaker 2: it's actually n I c h e Als. So I
[19:19] Speaker 2: try to heal with the microphone, like because I know
[19:21] Speaker 2: my crowd, like I bring out a lot of hood people,
[19:23] Speaker 2: regular people with people buy tickets, and I think a
[19:25] Speaker 2: lot of comedians don't realize who buys your tickets or
[19:27] Speaker 2: what they go through to get a ticket. Like some
[19:29] Speaker 2: people this is they last twenty five dollars. Some people
[19:32] Speaker 2: just came home. Some people got going on. Some women
[19:34] Speaker 2: just being abused. It's so much and they come just
[19:36] Speaker 2: to laugh and escape that if you could take ten
[19:39] Speaker 2: minutes of somebody's day and get them not to think
[19:41] Speaker 2: about what's going in their life and make them smile,
[19:43] Speaker 2: because comedians always do is really turn tragedy into comedy,
[19:46] Speaker 2: because there's nothing funny when you talk about being beat
[19:48] Speaker 2: as a kid, but you're able to laugh, so you
[19:50] Speaker 2: can overcome it and make it a good memory instead
[19:52] Speaker 2: of something that's tragic and let go of it. So
[19:54] Speaker 2: I think that when you have that ability, you should,
[19:56] Speaker 2: you should, you should harness it. And just like that's
[19:58] Speaker 2: why I don't always stick to my MATERI sometimes I
[20:00] Speaker 2: would just look at the crowd and be like, tonight,
[20:02] Speaker 2: the crowd don't want this. Tonight, the crowd needs this
[20:04] Speaker 2: from me because I want everybody to go home and
[20:06] Speaker 2: feel the way. I'm not selfish. I don't want everybody
[20:08] Speaker 2: just to hear my story. You know what, all my
[20:09] Speaker 2: daughters going through this. I don't use it as therapy.
[20:11] Speaker 2: I use it as to make everyone else feel good.
[20:14] Speaker 2: And I think that's why I've been able to do
[20:16] Speaker 2: these eighteen thousand, nineteen thousand see to read this, because
[20:19] Speaker 2: that's the type of energy I put.
[20:20] Speaker 5: Into it, plus nineteen thousand big and.
[20:23] Speaker 3: I've done it in every facett.
[20:24] Speaker 2: Man, I'm not only just with the Wild Out Tour
[20:26] Speaker 2: creating that the April Fool's Comedy Jam, and it's comedy
[20:30] Speaker 2: and music. I take my friends with that with that's
[20:32] Speaker 2: hip hop and comedy together. So I take it's like
[20:35] Speaker 2: Fad Joe and Jady kisses on that and that's in
[20:37] Speaker 2: Kodak Black.
[20:37] Speaker 3: That's how that is because those are friends of mine.
[20:39] Speaker 3: I'm like, you know what, We're gonna do the comedy,
[20:41] Speaker 3: y'all do the music and we will have fun.
[20:42] Speaker 2: And if you look at fall Back and Love, that
[20:44] Speaker 2: was me taking all my R and B friends and
[20:47] Speaker 2: putting R and B together with comedy.
[20:48] Speaker 3: So that tour was super dope because it was fun.
[20:50] Speaker 2: It was like one minute you'll see Brandy and then
[20:52] Speaker 2: you'll see Dray, and then you'll see Monica and then
[20:54] Speaker 2: you'll see DC Young Fly And it just took that
[20:57] Speaker 2: rhythm of just sitting there when the band is playing,
[20:59] Speaker 2: why waiting for the next act, and.
[21:01] Speaker 3: Just make it a NonStop party.
[21:02] Speaker 5: Wow.
[21:03] Speaker 3: Yeah, ain't even if the offer rip.
[21:04] Speaker 2: That's when I go into crowd and I'm super interactive
[21:06] Speaker 2: with that tour. And it's just these platforms that I
[21:08] Speaker 2: created just for my friends, just for everybody to have fun,
[21:11] Speaker 2: just for us to go and say, look what we
[21:12] Speaker 2: can do. Has a culture without the big the big
[21:16] Speaker 2: machines behind him because I didn't know that.
[21:17] Speaker 3: I didn't know that every comedian has some huge machine.
[21:20] Speaker 2: I didn't know that every comedians signed to some weird
[21:22] Speaker 2: live nation age deal.
[21:24] Speaker 3: I didn't know comedians wasn't selling out the arenas. I
[21:26] Speaker 3: didn't know that. I thought everybody was doing it themselves.
[21:28] Speaker 3: I found out the hard way.
[21:29] Speaker 2: I was supposed to do like a weekend in Vegas
[21:32] Speaker 2: with Kevin Hart, and we was going to mix the
[21:35] Speaker 2: brands and do like he has a a Kevin Hart
[21:37] Speaker 2: Weekend and we was gonna mix a while on that
[21:38] Speaker 2: weekend and we was gonna do this huge collab. And
[21:40] Speaker 2: he came back to me and he's like, yeah, ag
[21:42] Speaker 2: said they can't do it, and I was like a
[21:44] Speaker 2: g wait, wait a minute. I thought it was Oh,
[21:48] Speaker 2: it's not you, it's oh, it's AG. You have to okay.
[21:51] Speaker 3: I didn't know you had a boss partner, whatever you
[21:53] Speaker 3: want to say.
[21:54] Speaker 2: I didn't know that. So when you asked me a question,
[21:56] Speaker 2: it's me. But it's not no Live Nation, it's no
[21:58] Speaker 2: AG behind me. There's no it's just me doing.
[22:01] Speaker 5: You're doing, and you're doing ball clays and.
[22:04] Speaker 3: Every single arena in this country.
[22:05] Speaker 1: At least I was supposed to do something together.
[22:07] Speaker 3: You said we were gonna merge his Heartbeat weekend.
[22:09] Speaker 2: He has a thing called Heartbeat Weekend, and then we
[22:12] Speaker 2: were going to do the two brands, and it's gonna
[22:13] Speaker 2: be that's gonna be added to Heartbeat Weekend because that
[22:16] Speaker 2: weekend we we did the wound Out live, so I
[22:19] Speaker 2: had wild Out Live and Season Patterson. We was gonna
[22:20] Speaker 2: make it, do a pool party and make a whole package,
[22:22] Speaker 2: because you know, keV did wild Out.
[22:24] Speaker 3: He was on it for a while, but then age
[22:26] Speaker 3: he said, you know, we don't really want to merge
[22:28] Speaker 3: like that.
[22:30] Speaker 2: I was like, oh, okay, but I didn't know that
[22:33] Speaker 2: you had to go back I didn't know people had that,
[22:35] Speaker 2: but I didn't know. I was probably one of the
[22:37] Speaker 2: only comedians to sell out arenas by himself.
[22:39] Speaker 3: I didn't know that. I had no idea. I thought
[22:40] Speaker 3: that's what everybody did.
[22:42] Speaker 1: I was working.
[22:43] Speaker 3: I didn't know that.
[22:43] Speaker 1: I didn't.
[22:45] Speaker 5: But I ain't doing that.
[22:46] Speaker 1: keV probably just didn't want to do that ship man.
[22:48] Speaker 3: No, it's really it. Really when you look at it,
[22:51] Speaker 3: and even when you look at y'all went on to it,
[22:53] Speaker 3: that was Colin.
[22:53] Speaker 5: That was live nation when y'all want USA.
[22:55] Speaker 3: That was a live nation, when y'all.
[22:56] Speaker 1: Want things whatever, live nations.
[23:00] Speaker 5: Looking at him like without that company, they probably like, well,
[23:03] Speaker 5: who's he with? You know what I'm saying. But he's
[23:05] Speaker 5: doing it on his own.
[23:06] Speaker 1: He's proven. If they see they could look up your
[23:09] Speaker 1: receipts and see what the fuck you get.
[23:10] Speaker 5: But sometimes the corporate don't know until it's too late.
[23:13] Speaker 5: That's when they come when they see him selling out
[23:15] Speaker 5: ball Clays and the Guard and then doing this, and
[23:18] Speaker 5: then they'll they'll come and snatch them up.
[23:20] Speaker 1: But till now companies trying to high light.
[23:22] Speaker 2: You a thousand money for himself. No, I just felt
[23:26] Speaker 2: like when these companies approached me, I just didn't think
[23:29] Speaker 2: the deals make sense to me. It didn't make sense
[23:32] Speaker 2: to me because I've already done it. So when i'm
[23:35] Speaker 2: someone is I offer me a deal, and they got
[23:37] Speaker 2: these deals, And I tell any person, I will never
[23:39] Speaker 2: do a cross collateralization deal because that's just the loan.
[23:42] Speaker 2: They're giving you a loan against your ticket sales, and
[23:45] Speaker 2: if you don't sell it, then you don't get it
[23:47] Speaker 2: and you pay the loan back, which makes no sense.
[23:49] Speaker 2: And then if I'm already doing eighteen thousand seats and
[23:52] Speaker 2: you're splitting my gate with me, but then I split
[23:55] Speaker 2: my gate with me, you're selling me your marketing, you're
[23:57] Speaker 2: selling me your production, yourself.
[24:00] Speaker 3: Let me all these.
[24:01] Speaker 2: Different things that's coming out of my share of the money,
[24:03] Speaker 2: not your share of the money. And then at the
[24:06] Speaker 2: end of it, I'm splitting my ticket sales with you,
[24:08] Speaker 2: but you're not splitting anything that you bring. You're not
[24:11] Speaker 2: splitting you own ticket mass. Why am I not getting
[24:13] Speaker 2: any ticket masever you get food and beverages, Where's my
[24:16] Speaker 2: food and beverage? Where's my part of parking? So what
[24:20] Speaker 2: are we splitting? So how are you gonna come to
[24:22] Speaker 2: me and offer me something. I don't need your market anymore.
[24:24] Speaker 2: I've already proven this market. I'm already selling out eighteen
[24:26] Speaker 2: thousand six, so it added no value. So when I
[24:28] Speaker 2: sit with these companies, they're looking to me like I'm crazy.
[24:30] Speaker 2: But we could do more shows. So you want me
[24:31] Speaker 2: to do more shows and get half the money.
[24:33] Speaker 3: How does that make sense? Give you half the money
[24:37] Speaker 3: and do more shown?
[24:38] Speaker 6: Right?
[24:38] Speaker 5: You know we know he shit when he starts talking
[24:40] Speaker 5: about Park because that's that loud nation. We learned that
[24:43] Speaker 5: being on tour, like they care about the bid sales,
[24:46] Speaker 5: the parking. Fucking just the little shit park.
[24:50] Speaker 3: It's the smallest money in the ticket price.
[24:52] Speaker 2: They don't care about your ticket price because on top
[24:54] Speaker 2: of each ticket ticket Master it takes nineteen it's nineteen
[24:57] Speaker 2: dollars on a thirty dollars ticket.
[24:58] Speaker 3: It's a nineteen dollars fix on the thirty dollar ticket money.
[25:02] Speaker 2: So if you just think about it, if it's averages
[25:04] Speaker 2: nineteen to twenty dollars on top of your ticket price
[25:06] Speaker 2: that you get nothing about. And then once your tickets
[25:09] Speaker 2: starts selling them, they have the ability to resell them.
[25:11] Speaker 2: So they have the ability to pull the tickets sell
[25:13] Speaker 2: them for a higher price and give you the original price,
[25:15] Speaker 2: so you think you're.
[25:16] Speaker 3: Selling your tickets one hundred fifty dollars.
[25:17] Speaker 2: They pulled the ones that are selling when they see
[25:19] Speaker 2: how quickly, and they see the edps and they see
[25:22] Speaker 2: the ratios, and they pull it and then they resell
[25:24] Speaker 2: it for hire and you still get one hundred dollars,
[25:27] Speaker 2: but they sold for three hundred other sites.
[25:29] Speaker 5: Gainst What made you get so creative to put the
[25:32] Speaker 5: music with the comedy.
[25:33] Speaker 3: Just my friends.
[25:34] Speaker 2: It was just all my friends. Like it's be no different.
[25:36] Speaker 2: You say, hey, Rip, I'm coming through. I want to
[25:38] Speaker 2: go up. Well, hey Rip, I want to be a
[25:39] Speaker 2: part of that. I want to do that. Like Jock
[25:41] Speaker 2: Queis is like Rip, let's go. And like I met
[25:43] Speaker 2: Jack Queiss in the airport and I was like, hey man,
[25:44] Speaker 2: I'm put you on wild and now I think you
[25:46] Speaker 2: dobe And he just came to one of my comedy
[25:47] Speaker 2: shows and he thought I was lying and I was like,
[25:49] Speaker 2: man watch and two months later he was on one
[25:51] Speaker 2: of the episodes and he was on tour.
[25:52] Speaker 5: I was shoot to get on wilding out. Cool for
[25:54] Speaker 5: that shit, man.
[25:55] Speaker 2: He shout out to Rich Homi KWin I hit rich
[25:57] Speaker 2: only KWin. I was like, man, yeah, I hear rich
[26:00] Speaker 2: On Quin, and rich On Quen was like, hey man,
[26:01] Speaker 2: I really.
[26:02] Speaker 3: I was like, I got you.
[26:03] Speaker 2: I'mna put you on his wine out there and put
[26:04] Speaker 2: you on this so we're gonna do all these different
[26:06] Speaker 2: dates and we got him back popping. And when he
[26:08] Speaker 2: passed away, I actually did the memorial for him at
[26:11] Speaker 2: the State Farm Arena because his brother called me and
[26:15] Speaker 2: his brother was like, hey, man, you know he passed
[26:17] Speaker 2: away last night. I think I spoke to him the
[26:19] Speaker 2: night before and he's like this, he had passed away,
[26:22] Speaker 2: and I was like wow, and he's like everybody, this
[26:24] Speaker 2: is a bad space. I just wanted to tell you
[26:27] Speaker 2: because right now everybody's asked for your money, that money back,
[26:29] Speaker 2: and we're gonna get him the money and just give
[26:30] Speaker 2: a second. I was like, but I want no money back,
[26:32] Speaker 2: keep a deposit, and on top of it, I'm gonna
[26:34] Speaker 2: pay you the balance. And on top of that, I'm
[26:37] Speaker 2: gonna raise money for you too, because I understand what
[26:40] Speaker 2: you gotta do, real nigga shit. And then I had
[26:42] Speaker 2: his family come up and everybody was like, oh, you
[26:44] Speaker 2: shouldn't do it. I had his family come up. I
[26:46] Speaker 2: had the whole thing and we rocked that arena. We
[26:47] Speaker 2: showed him so much love and in front of twenty
[26:49] Speaker 2: thousand people at the State Farm Arena. His family was
[26:51] Speaker 2: sitting there, his brother was sitting there, and we played
[26:53] Speaker 2: his music and it was just a huge celebration. So
[26:56] Speaker 2: I've always just looked out from my friends and people
[26:58] Speaker 2: that care about me.
[27:00] Speaker 3: What on a while?
[27:01] Speaker 5: Now, how many places you're been around? Did they go
[27:03] Speaker 5: over seas before?
[27:04] Speaker 2: We did Canada and we did London? That was only
[27:08] Speaker 2: able fools. Now it's gonna be in London, so and
[27:12] Speaker 2: then we're over your baby.
[27:15] Speaker 3: Definitely a big shout of Daniel. Dan you've been riding
[27:17] Speaker 3: with me every day.
[27:19] Speaker 2: Man.
[27:19] Speaker 5: Yeah, crazy, Yeah, He's a good crazy, crazy dude. Talk
[27:22] Speaker 5: about some of the writing you did, because Daniel was
[27:24] Speaker 5: telling me you did a lot of writing behind the scenes.
[27:26] Speaker 3: To I write for a lot of people.
[27:27] Speaker 2: I've written for a lot of people over the years
[27:29] Speaker 2: on different TV shows. I was the head writer for
[27:31] Speaker 2: the Nick Cannon Show a lot of different things. But
[27:34] Speaker 2: then that's just way a way of you know, continuing
[27:36] Speaker 2: down your path and politics with everybody.
[27:39] Speaker 3: So y'all, can you know, come together and crazy how you.
[27:41] Speaker 1: Were able to bet on yourself like from doing that,
[27:43] Speaker 1: stacking that money like that, I'm doing all listen on
[27:45] Speaker 1: my own man.
[27:47] Speaker 2: It was never about money. To this day, you don't
[27:48] Speaker 2: even hear me talking about money. It's not about money.
[27:50] Speaker 2: I talk about how many people it is. It's about
[27:54] Speaker 2: the people. It's not about it. Ain't not one time
[27:56] Speaker 2: I going like, hey, it's gonna make this. I'm going
[27:58] Speaker 2: we're gonna do eighteen.
[28:00] Speaker 1: You know you got the Louis had on Louis Boost
[28:02] Speaker 1: Louis Jackiet Louis.
[28:04] Speaker 3: This is all Daniel, This is all Danel, this is
[28:06] Speaker 3: all this is. I promise you, my nigga down.
[28:10] Speaker 1: You're spending the money now, Dan, you were saying to
[28:13] Speaker 1: me that ain't about the money. Ship. Listen, you're getting
[28:16] Speaker 1: the money and you enjoyed the money. You're spending the
[28:18] Speaker 1: money now.
[28:19] Speaker 3: No, Actually, that's what I'm saying, bron.
[28:22] Speaker 1: Whether you're betting on yourself with the grind, you bet
[28:24] Speaker 1: on yourself, that's what it was. You better on yourself.
[28:28] Speaker 2: I don't want to know what Michael Blacks told me
[28:31] Speaker 2: all this, so it's all fake, all right, it's coming
[28:34] Speaker 2: from a blanket on canw.
[28:38] Speaker 3: Suck get me? Robbed out of here? You robbed me?
[28:41] Speaker 3: You is looking at me like you don't have me
[28:44] Speaker 3: out there?
[28:45] Speaker 5: Him up?
[28:46] Speaker 3: I got you?
[28:47] Speaker 2: Walking through Brooklyn, I got you. H'm rep coming out?
[28:50] Speaker 2: Canst off the train?
[28:52] Speaker 7: Got you?
[28:56] Speaker 3: No, it's uh.
[28:57] Speaker 2: Honestly, before I had a heart attack, I literally wouldn't care,
[29:01] Speaker 2: like if you look at it, the old stuff. I
[29:02] Speaker 2: didn't really care how I dress like or really care
[29:05] Speaker 2: to push myself. And I always stay behind the scenes,
[29:07] Speaker 2: like I've done these things for years, man like, and
[29:10] Speaker 2: I never really even thought about being in the forefront.
[29:13] Speaker 2: I was just always happy just to do what I do, gotcha.
[29:17] Speaker 2: And then like I thought I was gonna die. When
[29:19] Speaker 2: I was in the hospital, I had an attack. Yeah,
[29:21] Speaker 2: I had to all attacked twice. I had an art
[29:23] Speaker 2: attack in Atlanta, And then I thought I was gonna
[29:25] Speaker 2: get better. And then when I when I had the
[29:26] Speaker 2: heart attack after the show and at the Apollo, I
[29:29] Speaker 2: just I've been in the hospital. I was in the
[29:31] Speaker 2: hospital for like like eight months, and and and uh
[29:35] Speaker 2: the Mayo Clinic and Phoenix and big shots of Daniel
[29:39] Speaker 2: and Joe and they came to visit me. And when
[29:41] Speaker 2: I was a l J big shout to Envy and
[29:42] Speaker 2: Nick Can they came to visit me. It's just I
[29:45] Speaker 2: just thought I wasn't gonna make it, and everybody thought
[29:46] Speaker 2: I wasn't gonna make it. And I'm honestly still not better.
[29:49] Speaker 2: I'm on a heart transplant list. I still got to
[29:51] Speaker 2: get a heart. I'm still looking for that. But that's
[29:54] Speaker 2: why every day is grateful. So when I when I
[29:56] Speaker 2: came out, I started really caring and I was like,
[30:00] Speaker 2: I gave me the ability to even be here, Like
[30:02] Speaker 2: I'm here, I'm here and sitting here and I'm not
[30:06] Speaker 2: supposed to be here, but I'm supposed to be here,
[30:10] Speaker 2: but I'm supposed to be here. So now I promise
[30:13] Speaker 2: God that I will I will, I will. I won't
[30:14] Speaker 2: stand in the background anymore. And I'm gonna share my
[30:17] Speaker 2: story so other people can do it. And now I'm
[30:19] Speaker 2: gonna step out on faith and I'm I'm gonna raise
[30:22] Speaker 2: my stock and go hired it. And I was ever
[30:24] Speaker 2: supposed to go because it's not about me. It's about
[30:26] Speaker 2: me sharing my story so the next person can do
[30:28] Speaker 2: it and continue keeping it to myself. Then I'm not
[30:32] Speaker 2: creating a legacy for anyone to come behind me. So
[30:35] Speaker 2: I'm gonna show people that you can do this. I'm
[30:36] Speaker 2: gonna show people you don't need these deals. I'm gonna
[30:38] Speaker 2: show people that you can take it from being a
[30:40] Speaker 2: small comedian sleeping on the streets of New York with
[30:42] Speaker 2: your daughter to selling out areenas and being number two
[30:44] Speaker 2: on Poststar and having Apollo special that did a million
[30:47] Speaker 2: in like the first week, like independently, and that's.
[30:51] Speaker 3: What I'm trying to do.
[30:52] Speaker 5: You got a heart attack on stage, right on side
[30:54] Speaker 5: of the stage, and it was rush to story what
[30:56] Speaker 5: goes because when we interview Tracy Morgan, he told me
[30:59] Speaker 5: and murder we I got the closest to Gord in
[31:02] Speaker 5: this fucking room. And you're the second comedian that could
[31:05] Speaker 5: say that ship too. Right. Yeah, So you're on stage
[31:10] Speaker 5: and you know you it's just you know, you're on
[31:11] Speaker 5: the road. We always know the road life and fucks
[31:13] Speaker 5: up your body, you know, murders.
[31:17] Speaker 3: See sleep.
[31:19] Speaker 5: Now what goes through your mind? Like what do you see?
[31:21] Speaker 5: You do you when your eyes are closed? You have
[31:23] Speaker 5: a heart attack?
[31:24] Speaker 3: Like what the fuck?
[31:25] Speaker 5: Like what did you see when your eyes were closed?
[31:27] Speaker 5: Like what was it like having a heart attack? On stage.
[31:30] Speaker 5: It's just crazy to me because I think fat Man
[31:32] Speaker 5: school did he don't see what's the peace? So like,
[31:36] Speaker 5: what was going through your mind? Like what's the mindset.
[31:45] Speaker 2: That I hope everybody enjoys the rest of the show,
[31:51] Speaker 2: and that I hope that I don't stop it so
[31:55] Speaker 2: it can't continue.
[31:57] Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the first coming in my mind.
[32:02] Speaker 2: Because I put those people on seats, they came out
[32:05] Speaker 2: because I gave him a flyer, I emailed them, I
[32:07] Speaker 2: text them, and I know how hard it is sometimes
[32:10] Speaker 2: to get the money off of that. So that was
[32:11] Speaker 2: the first thing I was thinking. And then the second
[32:14] Speaker 2: thing I was thinking was like, well, would I leave
[32:16] Speaker 2: my kids behind, my wife behind what?
[32:18] Speaker 3: What?
[32:21] Speaker 5: What?
[32:21] Speaker 3: Did I leave them?
[32:22] Speaker 2: A whole bunch of behind the scenes stuff that nobody knows. Yeah,
[32:26] Speaker 2: that's what I was thinking about. Damn, that's all it
[32:29] Speaker 2: was in my mind.
[32:31] Speaker 3: You know, it's great, Yeah, she being at that happened.
[32:34] Speaker 3: So how do you do?
[32:34] Speaker 1: You do you get nervous now a little bit where
[32:36] Speaker 1: you perform on stage?
[32:38] Speaker 2: No, fearless, now, got you. I'm fearless. It's fun. It's fun, man,
[32:45] Speaker 2: it's fun. What is what say that doesn't kill me?
[32:48] Speaker 3: Make me stronger.
[32:51] Speaker 2: Yeah that that definitely I'm fearless now, and I'm just
[32:56] Speaker 2: because I'm like, I'm back on stage. I have an
[32:58] Speaker 2: opportunity to be funny. So now I took it for
[33:00] Speaker 2: granted before. I'm like, so not every show I cheated
[33:04] Speaker 2: like it's my last show. So whether I got a
[33:06] Speaker 2: million shows or fifty shows, a one show, maybe the
[33:09] Speaker 2: Barkley sent it. Whatever it is, I'm I'm gonna live
[33:12] Speaker 2: it and enjoy it to the footage I'm gonna give.
[33:13] Speaker 2: I can't say give it with all my heart because
[33:14] Speaker 2: then that's not that much.
[33:23] Speaker 3: It's crazy.
[33:24] Speaker 5: That's crazy because.
[33:25] Speaker 3: You wait for heart. Man, it's just a it's a
[33:28] Speaker 3: thing you wait for heart. It's this weird man process
[33:30] Speaker 3: with that, it's just a weird process.
[33:31] Speaker 2: Because I move a little easier, though you can't be
[33:33] Speaker 2: as as you. I keep EMTs now everywhere I go.
[33:38] Speaker 3: I got a.
[33:40] Speaker 2: Home health aid and the nurse that I gotta. You know,
[33:43] Speaker 2: my readings are every day. Doctor is a constant monitor
[33:45] Speaker 2: to me. And some days are good, some days are bad.
[33:47] Speaker 2: Some days I don't get out of bed, and some
[33:49] Speaker 2: days I'm Sometimes for weeks I'm no good. So I
[33:53] Speaker 2: try to make sure everything continue to move with or
[33:55] Speaker 2: without me. And that's just a different pacing because when
[33:58] Speaker 2: you you you're looking for a life organ, you realize
[34:00] Speaker 2: that someone has to pass away or someone has to
[34:02] Speaker 2: no longer need it for you to live. So it
[34:06] Speaker 2: just puts you in a whole different minestate. Like I
[34:07] Speaker 2: ain't gonna lie to you now. Every time I hear ambulance,
[34:09] Speaker 2: I'd be like, is that my blessing?
[34:11] Speaker 1: Damn?
[34:12] Speaker 3: That's is that for me? When somebody get shot out, like,
[34:15] Speaker 3: don't shoot them in the chest, please hashots only. I
[34:21] Speaker 3: don't need the brain.
[34:29] Speaker 1: From being so positive. I'm just I would happy to
[34:32] Speaker 1: be here and say, well, just hit somebody in the head.
[34:35] Speaker 3: If you're gonna do crimes, come on now.
[34:39] Speaker 2: I'm just trying to make light because it's it's a
[34:41] Speaker 2: real serious situation and and and and every time I
[34:45] Speaker 2: talk about it, somebody emails me or somebody dms me
[34:47] Speaker 2: and tells me thank you because they're going through it.
[34:49] Speaker 2: And my heart is congestive heart Failure's congenial because I
[34:52] Speaker 2: got it for my dad. But it's congestive heart failure.
[34:54] Speaker 2: So it's nothing that I did from eating, It's nothing
[34:56] Speaker 2: from diet it's just something that just over time from
[34:59] Speaker 2: not know that this was something in the side of
[35:01] Speaker 2: my heart that had just caught up. So that's why
[35:04] Speaker 2: I teach preventative. I teach tell people to go get
[35:07] Speaker 2: checked out, find out what you gotta do, find out.
[35:09] Speaker 3: Before it gets to that point.
[35:10] Speaker 2: So that's and then if you notice, I donated my
[35:13] Speaker 2: last year, we donated to American Heart Association. And I
[35:17] Speaker 2: constantly have people like at the Pollo we taught CPR.
[35:19] Speaker 2: We constantly I don't want anyone else to go through
[35:22] Speaker 2: this because you don't have to.
[35:25] Speaker 1: If you would have got checked out earlier, could have
[35:26] Speaker 1: been visited.
[35:28] Speaker 3: I could have lived a different lifestyle and I could
[35:30] Speaker 3: have kept up kept my own heart. It's just a
[35:31] Speaker 3: little longer.
[35:33] Speaker 2: M just a little longer because I'm going in the
[35:37] Speaker 2: thing and it's like, oh, you're gonna give you a stamp,
[35:39] Speaker 2: you know, just because you ate too much now? And
[35:41] Speaker 2: then did that that right hard calf And they went
[35:44] Speaker 2: in in and literally like in seconds, they were like
[35:47] Speaker 2: stop everything, and all the cardiac arrest team came in
[35:51] Speaker 2: and it was like ten doctors standing over me, and
[35:54] Speaker 2: then it just took me on the thing and it
[35:56] Speaker 2: was just like you got to go to CCU. You
[35:57] Speaker 2: gotta and the nurses start changing from like being jokey, joky,
[36:01] Speaker 2: I'm just making jokes to and.
[36:03] Speaker 3: Prescriptions to like asking me like who's your pastor?
[36:07] Speaker 2: And like quote, I went from prescriptions to scriptures and
[36:12] Speaker 2: just the hard thing to take and I did it.
[36:14] Speaker 3: I was by myself during that time, and it just
[36:16] Speaker 3: it's it's hard, man, it is. It is hard. But
[36:18] Speaker 3: God got me through it.
[36:19] Speaker 7: It is.
[36:20] Speaker 3: It is really hard when you you face with that
[36:22] Speaker 3: and you got to pair your.
[36:23] Speaker 5: Size, your family, what you gonna live them, because we
[36:25] Speaker 5: all know we programmed to die. Yeah, yeah, it's part
[36:29] Speaker 5: of the program right there. But it's when it comes
[36:32] Speaker 5: and it's right there for you. That's crazy. Why you
[36:35] Speaker 5: said on stage, on the side on the side of
[36:37] Speaker 5: the stop, we'll just you know, doing what you do
[36:40] Speaker 5: on the side on the side of the.
[36:43] Speaker 2: The first thing you think about is by yourself. A
[36:45] Speaker 2: lot of fake Louis, don't let this your upon have
[36:52] Speaker 2: your money. This ship straight to the black man with
[36:56] Speaker 2: the blanket.
[36:57] Speaker 1: That lois to let people know you can do it
[37:00] Speaker 1: without these big companies. You could do it. That's why
[37:02] Speaker 1: you went and got the Louis ship after you made it.
[37:04] Speaker 3: Man, you have the dudes outside your studio with the blanket,
[37:07] Speaker 3: don't the I got, I got the jacket you got
[37:12] Speaker 3: to change. It is really gonall apart. It's for shure.
[37:25] Speaker 3: You can't touch it. I can't move on like this.
[37:28] Speaker 5: Persons. Now I've seen they got like some two strings
[37:31] Speaker 5: that they hold like.
[37:32] Speaker 1: They could just just go oh yeah, damn boy, they're
[37:36] Speaker 1: not playing with So you know, my guy in.
[37:43] Speaker 2: Shout out to Mama duat have on this comedy show man,
[37:48] Speaker 2: I'm gonna have a lot of dope people on it. Man,
[37:50] Speaker 2: it's got Marlon Ways, It's got Bruce Bruce on it.
[37:53] Speaker 2: It's got uh Bill Bellamy and a whole bunch of
[37:56] Speaker 2: other people. Just stating the Valentine She's called me. Now,
[37:57] Speaker 2: she's like, why ain't we at the Barking Centers, Justina. Yeah,
[38:01] Speaker 2: it's got so many different people. So it's like a
[38:03] Speaker 2: lot of castmirs wound. Now leave my wrap up alone.
[38:06] Speaker 3: You want to call right now? You're telling you here
[38:08] Speaker 3: you go, Here you go, Justina? What's up? Man?

[38:14] Speaker 1: He will uncle murder?
[38:15] Speaker 3: I said, I'm telling him to.

[39:28] Speaker 3: your wrap up. I don't get what you said.
[39:31] Speaker 2: She looked like Tommy for power in the face and
[39:34] Speaker 2: she got gary ows original ass. She got a black
[39:38] Speaker 2: ass now but before, if she's still next day, you
[39:41] Speaker 2: would say, they got to sound.
[39:45] Speaker 3: That's my dude, that's my guy. That's my guy right there, watch.
[39:50] Speaker 5: Your mouth, that's my How do you feel about rappers
[39:56] Speaker 5: beef for comedians? Because you know all the Wayne's and
[39:58] Speaker 5: fifty That ship was the crack of blue.
