[1:24] Speaker 2: recipe you don't want to miss. The October recipe of
[1:28] Speaker 2: the Month is for party Peach Pie, and I get
[1:31] Speaker 2: hungry just thinking about it. Just imagine a nice crisp

[1:38] Speaker 2: you cut it, and the kind of creamy, smooth, delicious
[1:41] Speaker 2: to eat filling you can make only with pet evaporated milk. Then,
[1:45] Speaker 2: on top of that wonderful pet milk custard filling, golden
[1:49] Speaker 2: slices of California cling peaches. Talk about a beautiful pie.

[2:10] Speaker 2: Peach Pie soon. Remember it's a pet milk Mary Lee
[2:13] Speaker 2: Taylor recipe. So you know you can depend on it.
[2:25] Speaker 2: When the parents of Teeny, the little girl down the street,
[2:28] Speaker 2: went away for a few days, they left her with
[2:31] Speaker 2: the mcgeeese at seventy nine westral Vista. This morning she
[2:35] Speaker 2: awoke with a slight swelling in one cheek. It doesn't
[2:39] Speaker 2: bother Teeny in the least, but it has completely shattered
[2:43] Speaker 2: the sensitive nerves of the weaker member of fiver McGhee and.
[2:47] Speaker 3: Molly, my gosh, Moley, this is awful. It's terrible when
[2:56] Speaker 3: I think of the suffering of that brave little child.
[2:59] Speaker 3: I just come part like a campstool under a fat lady.
[3:03] Speaker 4: Well, now, don't get so excited. Dary Gene isn't suffering.
[3:06] Speaker 4: She's tickled to death that she's going to have her
[3:08] Speaker 4: breakfast in bed.
[3:09] Speaker 3: That poor little kid with her face all swollen up,
[3:12] Speaker 3: all relaxed, lover.
[3:14] Speaker 4: I've already called doctor Gamble and he should be here
[3:17] Speaker 4: any minute.
[3:17] Speaker 3: Ah, Doc Gamble, what a big help he'll be. That
[3:21] Speaker 3: over padded pulse pincher couldn't fure a raw. I am
[3:24] Speaker 3: in a smokeout.
[3:26] Speaker 4: Now McGee's a fine dot. Uh.
[3:29] Speaker 3: I'll go in and cheer the poor kid up lying
[3:32] Speaker 3: there on her bed of pain, silently suffering.
[3:38] Speaker 5: Can't you bring my breakfast? And daji my breakfast? Ti?
[3:41] Speaker 3: I'm hungry, Well, missus McGee's fixing the fist. How are
[3:45] Speaker 3: you feeling?
[3:46] Speaker 5: I feel wonderful, I bitches, I'm starving.
[3:49] Speaker 3: Oh well, now you mustn't worry just because your face
[3:52] Speaker 3: has swollen up a little. You'll be brave like a
[3:54] Speaker 3: little soldier.
[3:55] Speaker 5: Oh my, I love sology soldiers. Really, just this cousin
[4:00] Speaker 5: here is a private first class and he looks terrific
[4:03] Speaker 5: in his uniform with the seven stripes on it.
[4:06] Speaker 3: No, wait a minute, says a private first class only
[4:09] Speaker 3: has one stripe on his.
[4:11] Speaker 5: Uniform for he and he had one at first, And
[4:14] Speaker 5: then he sat on a bench in the pack that
[4:15] Speaker 5: had just been painted. Oh he did, he so he
[4:21] Speaker 5: had one stripe on his sleeve and six more and

[4:47] Speaker 3: your records. That makes ready yet my life.
[4:50] Speaker 5: Well almost, Jerry, how's little teeny?
[4:52] Speaker 3: Oh what a brave little kit claims the swellow. Don't
[4:56] Speaker 3: hurt it all. You ought to see how sweet and angelaic.
[4:58] Speaker 5: She looks.
[5:00] Speaker 3: Sort of like that baby picture we got to me.
[5:03] Speaker 5: Oh, do you buy any chance? Mean the one where
[5:09] Speaker 5: you're lying face.
[5:10] Speaker 4: Down on the rug?
[5:13] Speaker 3: Oh? No, not that one. This is the one with
[5:15] Speaker 3: the curls. I was thinking about where I'm holding the
[5:18] Speaker 3: kitten by the scruff of the neck. I ain't sure
[5:21] Speaker 3: the one where I'm lying face down on the rug
[5:23] Speaker 3: is me at all?
[5:25] Speaker 5: Not you, Jarry.
[5:26] Speaker 3: No, you know the story got around back in Peoria
[5:28] Speaker 3: that the photographer saved money by just taking a picture
[5:31] Speaker 3: of one baby and selling copies of it everybody in town.
[5:36] Speaker 3: Face down on our rug? You can't tell the difference.
[5:39] Speaker 4: Well, Kenny's breakfast is ready.
[5:42] Speaker 3: Oh that's probably doctor Gamble. Shall I let him in?

[5:59] Speaker 6: of your greeting flap lip.
[6:03] Speaker 3: Oh where are you been?
[6:05] Speaker 4: Oh?
[6:05] Speaker 3: I know it ain't easy for a fellow built like
[6:07] Speaker 3: you to move fast unless there's a forest fire and
[6:09] Speaker 3: a strong tail wind behind him.
[6:12] Speaker 6: But I just like, look, look mudhead, Molly assured me
[6:16] Speaker 6: the Teeni's ailment was a minor one. Oh, I took
[6:19] Speaker 6: care of missus Logan's baby first.
[6:22] Speaker 3: I didn't know the Logans had a kid. They have now,
[6:27] Speaker 3: I bet you soaked them plenty for the job too.
[6:29] Speaker 3: Hell a child weighed five pounds and I delivered it
[6:31] Speaker 3: for twenty five dollars.
[6:33] Speaker 6: Are the words five dollars a pound? I defy you
[6:37] Speaker 6: to equal that price at any market.
[6:42] Speaker 3: We don't stand here, Gavin, Gabby. That kid needs a doctor.

[7:28] Speaker 3: Well what is a doc? Is it serious? What is docout?
[7:30] Speaker 6: It simply a loose baby tooth. That's called little swelling.
[7:33] Speaker 2: Oh.
[7:34] Speaker 3: I'll make an appointment for Teenie to see a dentist
[7:36] Speaker 3: this afternoon.
[7:37] Speaker 6: He'll flip it out in no time.

[8:07] Speaker 4: and put it under the pillow. Yeah, and while you're asleep,
[8:11] Speaker 4: the good fairies will take it and leave.
[8:13] Speaker 3: A dime in its place. Yes, sir, you bet they
[8:16] Speaker 3: will see you. See, baby teeth are made out of ivory,
[8:19] Speaker 3: and the good fairies use them for fool balls. At

[11:48] Speaker 3: ridiculous that brave little child lying in They're suffering without
[11:51] Speaker 3: a word except to ask for something maybe every five minutes.
[11:54] Speaker 3: And see how is she anyway?
[11:57] Speaker 4: She's not worried about the dentist, is she?
[11:59] Speaker 3: Well, she will be only for me. I've been in
[12:02] Speaker 3: that bedroom entertaining her for the past two hours while
[12:04] Speaker 3: you were at the grocery. Only come out of there once,
[12:07] Speaker 3: just long enough to get her last week's funny papers,
[12:10] Speaker 3: put a new string on the yo yo and bring
[12:12] Speaker 3: her a piece of pie today. I was saving that
[12:15] Speaker 3: apple pie for your.
[12:16] Speaker 4: Dinner, but if you don't mind me.
[12:17] Speaker 3: Oh, she didn't want apple pie. She wanted coconut custard,
[12:21] Speaker 3: so I had to run down the wall small shop
[12:23] Speaker 3: for it. Well, heavenly days, I hope she enjoyed it,
[12:26] Speaker 3: didn't need it, wrong size coconut on it. Poor little kids,
[12:34] Speaker 3: she don't know what she wants with that trip to
[12:35] Speaker 3: the dentist chain. And always stop worrying.
[12:38] Speaker 4: Cenede little too, they so loose.
[12:40] Speaker 3: All the dentists has to do is look at it
[12:42] Speaker 3: and it'll fall and all that dentists has to do
[12:44] Speaker 3: is look at me and all my teeth. So far,

[12:49] Speaker 3: keep her amused, Darien, what'd you do? Tell her some story?
[12:52] Speaker 3: Ain't that? Oh better than that? I've done the whole Vauter,
[12:56] Speaker 3: the act that I and a pred Nitney, the guy
[12:57] Speaker 3: that me and him had an act together from Starvedrock,
[12:59] Speaker 3: Illinois in Vaudeville. I've heard you mentioned Vaudeville, Yes, sir,
[13:05] Speaker 3: I gave her the whole thing, all except the finish.
[13:08] Speaker 3: I couldn't do the finish because I didn't have all
[13:10] Speaker 3: my crops. I think I was short of bicycle, an
[13:13] Speaker 3: oil painting of President McKinley, a Roman candle, a blowtorch,
[13:17] Speaker 3: two plaster of Paris, models of the Statue of Liberty,
[13:20] Speaker 3: a Rhode Island red rooster, a white powder pigeon, and
[13:22] Speaker 3: a blue bellied wood duck seventy days? What'd you do
[13:28] Speaker 3: with all those things? In Vaudeville? Well, Fred rode out
[13:35] Speaker 3: on the stage on the bicycle with me sitting on
[13:37] Speaker 3: his shoulders. The oil painting of President McKinley popped on
[13:40] Speaker 3: the handlebars, and the Roman candle in his mouth. I
[13:43] Speaker 3: lit the Roman candle with the blue torch, and as
[13:45] Speaker 3: it went off, I juggled the two models of the
[13:47] Speaker 3: Statue of Liberty, sang three cheers for the red, white
[13:49] Speaker 3: and blue, opened the bird cage which was hung around
[13:52] Speaker 3: my neck, and let loose the Rhode Island red rooster,
[13:54] Speaker 3: the white powder pigeon, and the blue bellied wood duck
[14:03] Speaker 3: used to cause quite a bit of comment any of
[14:11] Speaker 3: its pitch to print. Anyhow, I'd done the rest of
[14:14] Speaker 3: my expertini, including all the jokes. Well did she enjoy
[14:17] Speaker 3: the entertainment? Oh that's hard to say. I I didn't
[14:21] Speaker 3: want to wake her up, just ask her. Maybe you
[14:23] Speaker 3: kid her age? Don't appreciate the ault entertainment? Oh hey,
[14:26] Speaker 3: didn't the trivia phone yet? The mayor, not that I
[14:28] Speaker 3: know of. Were you expecting here, Thomas TENI we driver
[14:30] Speaker 3: to the dentist in the squad.
[14:31] Speaker 2: Car who was a siren.
[14:32] Speaker 3: Oh sure, I called the trivia's office, but he was out.
[14:35] Speaker 5: And me maybe this is him now, dum in.

[14:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, got a proder this morning.
[14:49] Speaker 10: Went out for a haircut.
[14:50] Speaker 6: Is that soll?
[14:51] Speaker 10: I usually cut my hair in the house, but it
[14:53] Speaker 10: was shut the crime dare and went out and.
[14:54] Speaker 2: Cut it in the yard.
[14:56] Speaker 3: Must use the lawnmar from look save it. Oh, I
[14:59] Speaker 3: got problems here, old timer. We got to take Teenie
[15:01] Speaker 3: to the dentist at three o'clock.
[15:02] Speaker 10: No, I love dentis kid. Yeah, never going there myself,
[15:06] Speaker 10: but I just woke.
[15:07] Speaker 5: To me, mister mcgair. Listener.
[15:10] Speaker 3: Ah, that poor little kid. Well, I better get in
[15:12] Speaker 3: there before she starts worrying about the dentist.
[15:14] Speaker 10: Now I'll go cheer up Connie entertainer. I'll tell her
[15:17] Speaker 10: about when I was a gold miner up in Alaska.
[15:20] Speaker 3: You stay right for you, dren Are. I'll go entertain Teenie.
[15:24] Speaker 3: You want to entertain somebody entertain mouth? Thanks friends, how sir.
[15:30] Speaker 10: Speaking of Anaska daughter. Damn the days I lived up
[15:34] Speaker 10: there amongst the Eskimos with my partner, I thought I
[15:37] Speaker 10: called no nose. Nelson Economy didn't have no nose.
[15:41] Speaker 3: My goodness did? He loves it in the fire, No daughter.
[15:44] Speaker 10: He kissed them Eskimo girls by rubbing your nose against theirs,
[15:47] Speaker 10: and Nelson was mighty affectionate.
[15:55] Speaker 4: Well, it's all very interesting now the world forget.
[15:57] Speaker 10: To day we heard about a new gold field out
[15:59] Speaker 10: there we went and our dog sled pulled by eight huskies,
[16:03] Speaker 10: hand of peetonies.
[16:07] Speaker 3: Apeaking ease. Could he pull as last?
[16:09] Speaker 10: Couldn't pull worth the turn, but he sure give the
[16:11] Speaker 10: other dogs a lot of laughs. The very first day
[16:17] Speaker 10: we dug out one hundred and forty pounds a pure.
[16:20] Speaker 4: Goldie one hundred and forty pounds of pure gold.
[16:22] Speaker 10: To me Goldie daughter, dance hall hostess and pures and
[16:25] Speaker 10: Briven snows act was out of a snow bank that
[16:30] Speaker 10: we dug her. She fell off the Saturday night, slid
[16:32] Speaker 10: from Dawson and me and no, no's flipped the coin.
[16:36] Speaker 2: Am I boring you with this yarn?
[16:38] Speaker 3: Daughter?
[16:40] Speaker 2: No?
[16:40] Speaker 4: No, not at all, is Joel Diamond?
[16:42] Speaker 7: Well you're lucky.
[16:44] Speaker 10: I find it a very dull story myself.
[16:47] Speaker 3: So long a way, Hey, Molly, give me a hand
[16:56] Speaker 3: quick with you. I need a pan of hot water,
[16:58] Speaker 3: a roller, bandages in the bottle of cure crawl.
[17:00] Speaker 5: Well, what's the matter with little team now?
[17:02] Speaker 3: I mean, and I'm just keeping her amused. That's all.
[17:05] Speaker 3: I was showing her my old army razor and she
[17:06] Speaker 3: wants to watch me shave with it. And if I
[17:08] Speaker 3: shave with that army raizer, I need plenty advantages in
[17:10] Speaker 3: the bottle high powl. Oh he's no Hilo.
[17:16] Speaker 4: Say were you ever a gold miner in Alaska?
[17:19] Speaker 9: Uh?
[17:19] Speaker 4: No, Well then you can.
[17:20] Speaker 2: Stay well, thank you, but I can't stay long, Molly.
[17:24] Speaker 2: I just dropped by to tell your boyfriend here about
[17:27] Speaker 2: a petition that's been drawn up at the golf club
[17:30] Speaker 2: to keep an undesirable element off the course.
[17:32] Speaker 3: Oh you want me to sign it?
[17:34] Speaker 2: No, you don't have to sign it. You're it?
[17:39] Speaker 3: Oh undesirable? Am I? I even played on that course
[17:42] Speaker 3: for a month. Why you were out there last week, Diary?
[17:45] Speaker 3: Oh I didn't play on the course. I was in
[17:46] Speaker 3: the woods the whole time.
[17:49] Speaker 2: I got used for your pal. You're not out of
[17:51] Speaker 2: the woods yet.
[17:52] Speaker 3: Well, them guys don't scare me.
[17:54] Speaker 2: Now.
[17:55] Speaker 3: How did you happen to see this petition? It's will guy.
[17:58] Speaker 2: Well there, I was down at Waltzmaut shop for a
[18:00] Speaker 2: cup of coffee, Molly, and Walt ran out of pet's milk.
[18:03] Speaker 3: Well that's terror curtainly's terrible. All I've done for that
[18:06] Speaker 3: golf course through the years. It was a pretty.
[18:08] Speaker 2: Critical situation, Molly, because all those coffee lovers insist on
[18:13] Speaker 2: pet evaporated milk, because PET gives their coffee that rich,
[18:16] Speaker 2: satisfying flavor.
[18:17] Speaker 3: I've cut more weeds on that course with my mashes
[18:20] Speaker 3: than the ground.
[18:20] Speaker 2: Keepers do with a powermoun and PET gives it that beautiful,
[18:23] Speaker 2: creamy color that's one of the delights of a good
[18:26] Speaker 2: cup of java.
[18:27] Speaker 5: Do you have a chance to see the names on that.
[18:32] Speaker 2: No? But I Oh, but I told Walt to hold
[18:42] Speaker 2: it and I'd run over to the grocery store and
[18:44] Speaker 2: pick up a case of PET for him before he
[18:46] Speaker 2: started losing business, you see, because Walt's customers are pretty discriminating,
[18:50] Speaker 2: and if they can't have pet in their coffee, they pout.
[18:54] Speaker 3: I got as much right in the woods around that
[18:55] Speaker 3: golf courses anything. I'd rather play in the woods anyway.
[19:01] Speaker 3: You need a much better class of people out there.
[19:05] Speaker 2: But Molly, I saved the day when I rushed back
[19:08] Speaker 2: in there with all those happy cans of pet evaporated milk,
[19:11] Speaker 2: That good, sweet country milk made double rich by evaporation,
[19:15] Speaker 2: that delicious last touch to a good cup of coffee.
[19:18] Speaker 2: All those pet milk fans were so delighted.
[19:20] Speaker 3: Hey, hey, hey, hey hey look milky. Yes, pal, one question, Hilo,
[19:26] Speaker 3: did you sign that petition?
[19:28] Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question first? Do you remember
[19:31] Speaker 2: the day you were playing golf behind me? You drove
[19:34] Speaker 2: your ball without a word.
[19:35] Speaker 3: Of warning and hit me on the head.
[19:37] Speaker 2: Yes? What should you have said before you drove that ball?
[19:40] Speaker 5: Four?
[19:41] Speaker 2: That's how many times I signed the petition.
[19:52] Speaker 3: Wh guy, he's got news for me. Well, I got
[19:55] Speaker 3: a little news for him too. That petition wound up
[19:57] Speaker 3: yesterday with only at the Elks Club, and he sold
[19:59] Speaker 3: it to me for three bucks.
[20:00] Speaker 2: And I burned it.

[20:07] Speaker 3: About time you got here, Litvivia, Hello, Molly.
[20:10] Speaker 5: Hell on, mister mayor?
[20:11] Speaker 3: Is this the way the mayor of this town treats
[20:13] Speaker 3: a frantic call from a taxpayer that I left word
[20:15] Speaker 3: I got an emergency.
[20:16] Speaker 2: Knowing your idea of an emergency, McGee, I rushed over
[20:19] Speaker 2: here as fast as I could after a leisurely lunch
[20:22] Speaker 2: a workout on the handball court and the shoeshine. What's
[20:25] Speaker 2: the problem.

[20:31] Speaker 3: We have to take it to the dentist at three o'clock.
[20:33] Speaker 3: And I promised to a ride in a squad car
[20:35] Speaker 3: with a siren.
[20:37] Speaker 2: Well, aren't you sweet?
[20:41] Speaker 3: I think so the way I look at it, nothing's
[20:43] Speaker 3: too much trouble for me to ask somebody for when
[20:45] Speaker 3: the happiness of a little child is at stake, you
[20:47] Speaker 3: bring a squad car with you.
[20:48] Speaker 2: No, but I have my own official car out.
[20:50] Speaker 4: Oh that's wonderful, mister mayor.
[20:52] Speaker 3: Yeah, that the car of the city gave you the
[20:55] Speaker 3: one that you had to drape a dead moose over
[20:57] Speaker 3: the side of it when you took that trip to
[20:58] Speaker 3: Yosemite to cover up where it says for official use
[21:01] Speaker 3: only hold a mayor.
[21:09] Speaker 5: La Trivia never did a thing like that.
[21:11] Speaker 3: Well, somebody did it. I read about it in the paper.
