[0:00] Speaker 1: The Reynolds Aluminum Program with Feber McGhee and Molly. The
[0:12] Speaker 1: Reynolds Panel's company, makers of Renalds Aluminum presents Pepper McGhee
[0:16] Speaker 1: Molly transcribe. The show is written by Bill Leslie and
[0:19] Speaker 1: Keith Fowler and directed by Max Hutthole, with music by
[0:22] Speaker 1: The Kings Men and Billy Mills Orchestra. Everybody has heard
[0:44] Speaker 1: the expression noisy as a boiler factory. Well, that's descriptive,
[0:48] Speaker 1: but it's not funny. Excessive noise is a serious industrial problem,
[0:53] Speaker 1: affecting the workers' efficiency.
[0:54] Speaker 2: And their safety.
[0:56] Speaker 1: Now the problem has been solved by aluminum, of course,
[1:00] Speaker 1: Reynold's Aluminum acoustical system. It's a ceiling made of large
[1:05] Speaker 1: perforated aluminum panels backed.
[1:07] Speaker 2: With sound of absorbent material.
[1:09] Speaker 1: The panels simply resting on aluminum sections hung from the
[1:12] Speaker 1: top of the room. Pipes, wires and ducts are all
[1:16] Speaker 1: hidden by this handsome suspended ceiling, but you can get
[1:19] Speaker 1: at them easily by just lifting any panel. Reynold's aluminum
[1:23] Speaker 1: acoustical system is low in cost, quickly installed, and very
[1:27] Speaker 1: high in sound absorption. It's ideal not only for factories
[1:31] Speaker 1: and offices, but for schools, hospitals, auditoriums, and any large area.
[1:37] Speaker 1: Architects and industrialists. All those concerned with this problem are
[1:41] Speaker 1: invited to write for the facts on Reynold's aluminum acoustical system.
[1:46] Speaker 1: Just address noise Reduction Reynolds Panel's Company. Louisville I, Kentucky.
[2:05] Speaker 1: Across the street from seventy nine Wisful Vista lives a
[2:08] Speaker 1: man named Hector Howell.
[2:11] Speaker 2: About a week ago, mister.
[2:13] Speaker 1: Howell went out to water his lawn and found his
[2:16] Speaker 1: garden hose missing.
[2:18] Speaker 3: He said to himself, gone again, some sneaky, little cheap
[2:23] Speaker 3: skee came in here, and well it won't take long
[2:27] Speaker 3: to find it.
[2:27] Speaker 1: This time it didn't either, because just across the street,
[2:32] Speaker 1: watering the flowers and talking to his friend Wallace Whimple,
[2:36] Speaker 1: was mister McGee, a fiver McGee and Molly.
[2:47] Speaker 4: So I thought i'd go out on the front yard
[2:49] Speaker 4: this year went fo.
[2:51] Speaker 5: Had a lot of flowers, rare stuff mostly.
[2:54] Speaker 6: Oh they lovely, miss McGee, but they did be if
[2:58] Speaker 6: they come up.
[3:00] Speaker 4: Yeah along the walk there I got a roll of toxaprelius.
[3:04] Speaker 4: See them there against the fence. I planeted a bed
[3:07] Speaker 4: of creeping nor Tannius. Yeah, kind of think they must
[3:14] Speaker 4: have crept the wrong way because I hadn't seen a
[3:15] Speaker 4: sign of me. Those are very pretty cute ups over there,
[3:20] Speaker 4: mister Morley. Plant of those That bare patch of dirt
[3:23] Speaker 4: next to him, though, that's full of Salvinis fontanales. If
[3:27] Speaker 4: I can get them to come up.
[3:28] Speaker 6: Say yet, here comes mister Howell across the street. Mister
[3:32] Speaker 6: he looks angry about something.
[3:34] Speaker 4: Ah, he's always beating about something.
[3:36] Speaker 7: That guy is watering your flowers?
[3:39] Speaker 2: Are you McGhee? Yeah?
[3:40] Speaker 4: I thought I better heckor this front yard is drier
[3:43] Speaker 4: than a peanut butter sandwich. Don't come too close, Haul,
[3:48] Speaker 4: I might sprinkle your feet. Hello, mister Howell, give me
[3:51] Speaker 4: back my hose?
[3:52] Speaker 2: McGee. Huh.
[3:53] Speaker 8: I told you to leave that hose alone.
[3:57] Speaker 7: You told me nothing.
[3:59] Speaker 4: What time I borrowed this cheap hunk of leaky rubber,
[4:02] Speaker 4: You come running over here two weeks later and snatched
[4:04] Speaker 4: it back before I even had a chance.
[4:06] Speaker 2: To use it. What did I tell you? Then?
[4:08] Speaker 9: You told me never to ask you for this hose again.
[4:10] Speaker 2: That's what you.
[4:11] Speaker 9: Told me exactly, So who asked you for it?
[4:17] Speaker 4: It was laying there in your front yard? Drying out,
[4:19] Speaker 4: hating me that hose.
[4:21] Speaker 6: No, mis how.
[4:24] Speaker 4: Turn the hose off?
[4:25] Speaker 2: Whimple?
[4:26] Speaker 4: Yes, who he's.
[4:30] Speaker 2: Wait a minute, I'm.
[4:31] Speaker 7: Not through water now.
[4:32] Speaker 3: And whook that hose, mad and give it to me
[4:34] Speaker 3: before I decid wrap it around your fat neck.
[4:37] Speaker 4: Oh no, just the darn minute, hector, Are you trying
[4:41] Speaker 4: to scare me? He's trying to scare me. He's doing fine.
[4:47] Speaker 7: You better watch yourself.
[4:49] Speaker 2: Buster.
[4:49] Speaker 4: You make a pass at me and I'll spread you
[4:51] Speaker 4: out on the lawn like a picnic lunch.
[4:53] Speaker 2: You try it, little man.
[4:55] Speaker 9: Okay, I will put up your dukes because I'm gonna eat.
[5:02] Speaker 6: I'll help you up. Mister McGee, you're sitting in the tulips.
[5:15] Speaker 1: That was a week ago. A couple of days later,
[5:18] Speaker 1: missus McGee said.
[5:19] Speaker 10: How's your rye this morning?
[5:20] Speaker 6: Dairy?
[5:21] Speaker 4: Oh much better, Kiddle Swallen's gone down a lot. I'm
[5:24] Speaker 4: glad it did too. You know, it's a funny sensation
[5:27] Speaker 4: to look sideways out of one iron stare right smack
[5:29] Speaker 4: into the other one.
[5:32] Speaker 10: You know the color is better too, and I'm healthy
[5:35] Speaker 10: green like it might contain chlorophylle. Now you just stay
[5:40] Speaker 10: away from mister Howll and you won't get it.
[5:41] Speaker 4: Why heck, I'll stay away from mister Howell. Nobody punches
[5:45] Speaker 4: the McGee in the iron gets away with its Help
[5:47] Speaker 4: me get this box open?
[5:49] Speaker 11: What is it?
[5:49] Speaker 7: I ordered this to day?
[5:51] Speaker 4: Holl slugged me the minute I could see good enough.
[5:55] Speaker 7: This Kiddle is the Hercules Bodybuilder.
[5:57] Speaker 4: What I'm gonna build myself about? Body and poke Hector
[6:00] Speaker 4: Hall in the Nose episode? Where's the scissors? I gotta
[6:03] Speaker 4: cut the string.
[6:04] Speaker 10: You don't needs just break it?
[6:06] Speaker 4: Huh oh, okay, okay, yeah.
[6:15] Speaker 10: You're not thinking of tangling with mister Howell again after
[6:18] Speaker 10: what he says.
[6:18] Speaker 4: This thing is guaranteed to give me muscles to see. Uh,
[6:22] Speaker 4: there it is.
[6:24] Speaker 10: Take a gander, metal rod and a lot of iron donuts. Fascinating.
[6:30] Speaker 4: Let me read the directions, says The Hercules Bodybuilder consists
[6:34] Speaker 4: of a metal bar and twenty weights which may be
[6:38] Speaker 4: attached to the bar one at a time. When you
[6:41] Speaker 4: are able to lift the bar in all twenty weights,
[6:44] Speaker 4: you will be the physical superior of anyone your age.
[6:47] Speaker 10: Seems simple enough if true, Oh.
[6:50] Speaker 4: Boy, revenge his mind, Kiddle. I'll have muscles of iron.
[6:54] Speaker 4: I'll bust Hector Hall. Happen too, I'll be a tiger.
[6:58] Speaker 10: Well, let's see how it works. Go ahead, lifting the weights.
[7:00] Speaker 10: Oh no, not right now, Molly, why not tiger?
[7:07] Speaker 4: Well, busting that string kind of pooped me out.
[7:16] Speaker 2: Time the following day, I had.
[7:18] Speaker 10: The intrusion, dare you. I just wanted to see how
[7:20] Speaker 10: you're getting along?
[7:21] Speaker 2: Oh?
[7:21] Speaker 4: Pretty good?
[7:22] Speaker 10: How many weights can you lift on the bar?
[7:24] Speaker 2: Now?
[7:25] Speaker 10: Well, don't be embarrassed. I know this takes time.
[7:29] Speaker 4: How many can well?
[7:30] Speaker 12: Ye?
[7:31] Speaker 2: Three?
[7:32] Speaker 11: Two?
[7:34] Speaker 4: Well, I ain't quite lifted the bar yet.
[7:43] Speaker 2: Time a day later, don't.
[7:45] Speaker 4: See, it won't take long. Now I just lifted ten
[7:47] Speaker 4: weights on that bar.
[7:48] Speaker 10: Oh that's terrific, Maggie.
[7:50] Speaker 4: Sure, the muscle in my arm is really beginning to bulch.
[7:53] Speaker 4: It's like a thick hunger rope, like a steel chain. Here,
[7:56] Speaker 4: put your hand on it, all right, you feel it? Yes,
[8:00] Speaker 4: I feel it.
[8:02] Speaker 1: Now.
[8:03] Speaker 4: I know what I wanted to have for dinner, spaghetti.
[8:09] Speaker 4: I'll keep lifting.
[8:15] Speaker 2: Time today.
[8:17] Speaker 4: Hey, Molly, Molly, Hey, look I did it. I lived
[8:19] Speaker 4: at all twenty waights.
[8:22] Speaker 10: Real good for you. Mother's proud of you. Now, don't
[8:24] Speaker 10: go starting any trouble as mister Harley.
[8:26] Speaker 4: Oh boy, this is the moment I've been waiting for Kiddle.
[8:29] Speaker 4: I am now the physical superior of anybody my age,
[8:31] Speaker 4: and I got a written guarantee right here to prove
[8:33] Speaker 4: it to you.
[8:33] Speaker 10: Let's have it frame.
[8:34] Speaker 4: But let's not na At last, the family Hunter is
[8:37] Speaker 4: about to be revenged. I'll phone Hector Hall right now.
[8:40] Speaker 4: I'm daring to come over here and hello operator, give
[8:43] Speaker 4: me the residence of a guy named Hector Howe's every
[8:46] Speaker 4: little thing? Mer Eh? What's Aymert? Your cousin had an
[8:54] Speaker 4: argument with his wife and took cyanide.
[8:56] Speaker 10: Huh heavenly day did the man drink poison?
[8:59] Speaker 4: They had Cyrus Jones and his wife Ida over for dinner,
[9:02] Speaker 4: and MERT's cousin wanted them to go to the movies.
[9:04] Speaker 4: His wife wouldn't go, so he took Cyanida. Oh what's
[9:13] Speaker 4: am hurt? Oh rats? Okay, not home? Huh No, he
[9:18] Speaker 4: went down to wall small shop, and I'm going down
[9:20] Speaker 4: there after him. I'll chase that guy to the end
[9:22] Speaker 4: of the world. Who even up the score on this?
[9:24] Speaker 10: Yes, but McGee, now fighting is so undignified, so childish,
[9:28] Speaker 10: so hard on.
[9:29] Speaker 4: Your eye, My dear, you don't seem to realize that
[9:33] Speaker 4: this is a matter of honor, the fighting name of
[9:35] Speaker 4: the clan of McGee has been besmudged like a night
[9:38] Speaker 4: of old. I shall sally forth to remove the blot
[9:41] Speaker 4: on the family curmudgeon ASCUTCHONSTI where's my hat? I'll go
[9:51] Speaker 4: bare ahead, don't wait up for me to see. I
[9:55] Speaker 4: won't be going long enough.
[10:03] Speaker 1: Going out the office.
[10:04] Speaker 2: And by.
[10:55] Speaker 11: A day, boy, this is a new magie.

[12:45] Speaker 4: Hector Howell. He been here, Oh, just.
[12:47] Speaker 14: Left about five minutes ago to see him.
[12:50] Speaker 2: Huh, you said it.
[12:51] Speaker 4: I got a depth of pated that guy, and I'm
[12:53] Speaker 4: gonna settle it today.
[12:54] Speaker 14: You owe him.
[12:57] Speaker 13: Why mister Hall wouldn't lend his grandmother a I'm to
[13:00] Speaker 13: buy a rubber tip for her crutch.
[13:04] Speaker 14: I don't know you could borrow.
[13:05] Speaker 4: Anything from that mind, it's not money I own, Cora.
[13:08] Speaker 4: I got a big back poking a snoop for mister Howell,
[13:11] Speaker 4: and I'm looking for him right now to deliver it.
[13:13] Speaker 4: You're gonna fight with it.
[13:14] Speaker 2: It'll be a very short fight, believe me.
[13:17] Speaker 4: I'll pin his ears back so far he can hear
[13:19] Speaker 4: what happened yesterday.
[13:23] Speaker 6: Oh, you man always scrap him.
[13:28] Speaker 4: I don't enjoy fighting, Cora, understand that. It's just that
[13:31] Speaker 4: there are some things a man can't take, like getting
[13:34] Speaker 4: poked in the eye. I howled it to me.
[13:37] Speaker 14: Oh, well, you're just quick tempered, mister McGee.
[13:40] Speaker 4: When did he hit you last week?
[13:44] Speaker 2: Oh? Oh, you certainly.
[13:46] Speaker 14: Remind me of my husband, mister McGee, Yeah he is.
[13:49] Speaker 13: Me and him went out to Duban's Lake last week
[13:51] Speaker 13: and Marvin got into a real branny gain.
[13:54] Speaker 4: Yeah, what was the brawl about?
[13:56] Speaker 11: When I was.
[13:57] Speaker 13: Sitting there with Marvin and the new bathing suit him
[14:00] Speaker 13: real daring one. Yeah, and he noticed this other fellow
[14:07] Speaker 13: that kept smiling at me.
[14:08] Speaker 14: Well, Marvin got.
[14:10] Speaker 4: The curious, went over and chose him.
[14:13] Speaker 14: Huh, just fractured him. That's what you get to smile
[14:18] Speaker 14: to my bike.
[14:19] Speaker 4: Marvin said, you must have been proud of him, Klara.
[14:22] Speaker 14: Well, he kind of spoiled the whole thing.
[14:24] Speaker 13: He said to the fella, you'd have got off easier
[14:27] Speaker 13: if you'd had the nerve to laugh out loud.
[14:40] Speaker 14: I don't think it was funny. I didn't speak to
[14:44] Speaker 14: him for three days.
[14:46] Speaker 4: Can't say I blame you, Gara. Hey, did I'll say
[14:48] Speaker 4: where he was going?
[14:49] Speaker 14: Yes, to the supermarket across the street.
[14:52] Speaker 5: Thanks, I'll see you later. I hope that howl is
[15:05] Speaker 5: still here.
[15:05] Speaker 4: In the market because I want to nail him right
[15:07] Speaker 4: in front of everybody.
[15:08] Speaker 2: Wow.
[15:09] Speaker 4: Hello, Pal, oh hi Junior.
[15:10] Speaker 7: Hey, you've seen Hecker Howell.
[15:12] Speaker 4: I'm looking for that guy to get.
[15:13] Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm not five minutes ago, Pal, the big
[15:16] Speaker 1: clam head.
[15:16] Speaker 4: You soared him too. I want to find him to
[15:19] Speaker 4: get He walked.
[15:19] Speaker 1: In here and said he wanted some cookies, you see, Yeah, cookies.
[15:23] Speaker 1: So I walked over to the counter with him, and
[15:25] Speaker 1: I said, there are all kinds of cookies here, how
[15:28] Speaker 1: all of them fresh and crisp because they're sealed in beautiful,
[15:32] Speaker 1: colorful Reynolds aluminum foil.
[15:34] Speaker 2: Oh what kind would you like?
[15:35] Speaker 4: I said, never mind the details, Highwall, just tell me
[15:38] Speaker 4: what do you think that?
[15:39] Speaker 2: Lemon head said, what.
[15:40] Speaker 5: Do you say?
[15:41] Speaker 11: What do you say?
[15:41] Speaker 4: Did you buy something to do it? Buy something?
[15:42] Speaker 1: No? He kind of smirked, and he said, all this
[15:46] Speaker 1: modern package stuff is okay, harlow, but they don't make
[15:50] Speaker 1: cookies like my grandmother used to keep in her cookie jar.
[15:54] Speaker 2: Imagine a stupid remark like that.
[15:56] Speaker 4: What you mean his grandmother was a lousy cook?
[16:01] Speaker 2: No, that's not the point.
[16:02] Speaker 1: My point is that no matter how good his grandmother's
[16:05] Speaker 1: cookies were, they got limp as a rag and a
[16:07] Speaker 1: cookie jar in a few days.
[16:08] Speaker 4: My grandmother's cookies never lasted a few days. I used
[16:11] Speaker 4: to wait for them at the upndorm.
[16:12] Speaker 2: Right, I'm telling you Powell. I'm telling you Powe. And
[16:16] Speaker 2: how made that crack? I saw Red Red Hunt?
[16:19] Speaker 4: Did Red buying cookies? Did he buy anywhere?
[16:22] Speaker 1: Don't be stupid, I said, yes, I said, don't be stupid.
[16:26] Speaker 1: The best cookies and crackers these days, are sealed in
[16:28] Speaker 1: Reynolds aluminum foil, because that keeps them always as preci
[16:32] Speaker 1: as the day they were baked. I said, take that, howl,
[16:35] Speaker 1: I said, and.
[16:36] Speaker 2: I let him have it. Yeah good.
[16:38] Speaker 1: Him tried to defend himself, but I didn't give him
[16:42] Speaker 1: much chair at up so high. Luminum foil is a
[16:45] Speaker 1: solid sheet of metal, I said, moisture cat get through
[16:48] Speaker 1: it or odors or air.
[16:50] Speaker 2: And you talk about cookies in a jar.
[16:54] Speaker 4: Take that and that, I said, boy, where's you lyning?
[16:57] Speaker 9: You in your back of the cookie? Common him and
[17:00] Speaker 9: when he gets top.
[17:01] Speaker 2: Outing No, no, no, I didn't hit the man. Hell
[17:05] Speaker 2: huh take that?
[17:06] Speaker 4: You said?
[17:07] Speaker 2: Well? Sure, I loaded him down with.
[17:09] Speaker 1: Packages and cookies so he could see our first lays stay.
[17:13] Speaker 2: In ras all over them foil.
[17:26] Speaker 4: You must keep him wrapped in a luminum oil. He's
[17:29] Speaker 4: the precious guy. Oh there's Doc Gamble. Maybe he knows
[17:32] Speaker 4: where Hector Hall? Hey doc oh Doc gamble?
[17:35] Speaker 8: Hey, Well, well if it isn't missus McGhee's little drawback.
[17:41] Speaker 4: Hello, Lamb shanks, high hamhocks. Have you seen Hector Howl?
[17:47] Speaker 1: No?
[17:47] Speaker 4: I haven't, should I Well, I'm looking for him. I
[17:50] Speaker 4: owe him a poke in the nose, and I got
[17:51] Speaker 4: it with me. You take a swing, and Hector Howl,
[17:56] Speaker 4: what kind of flowers does Molly like? Never mind the
[18:00] Speaker 4: comedy waddle bottom. I'm serious.
[18:05] Speaker 9: I've been training with the Hercules body builder for a
[18:07] Speaker 9: week for this, and I am ready.
[18:09] Speaker 4: I'm a solid mess, a muscle.
[18:11] Speaker 8: You're a mess, all right. That's a muscle, all your
[18:15] Speaker 8: muscles in your bustle.
[18:18] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Well for.
[18:19] Speaker 4: Your big fat information flesh pot. I'm stronger right now
[18:24] Speaker 4: than any guy in tom My age. And I got
[18:26] Speaker 4: rod up guarantee right here to prove it. I got
[18:29] Speaker 4: a road out guarantee right here to prove.
[18:35] Speaker 14: Well.
[18:36] Speaker 4: This is all. This is all very amusing, Sonny.
[18:39] Speaker 2: Yeah, not to me.
[18:41] Speaker 8: Yeah, seriously, though, isn't common street fighting? A little undignified
[18:47] Speaker 8: at your age? Just Molly knocked her.
[18:50] Speaker 4: This is not a common street fight. This is a
[18:52] Speaker 4: simple matter of honor. Who's mine?
[18:55] Speaker 2: Forget it? It's not worth fighting for.
[19:00] Speaker 4: Hector Howl made the sad mistake of punching me in
[19:02] Speaker 4: the eye while my.
[19:03] Speaker 2: Back was turned.
[19:10] Speaker 4: That's a good trick, but I got problems of my
[19:13] Speaker 4: own today.
[19:14] Speaker 8: My housekeepers in the hospital with a sprained ankle and
[19:16] Speaker 8: a knot on her head.
