[0:08] Speaker 1: a bit about it. Please pray in the spirit and
[0:11] Speaker 1: asks a lot to grant your understanding. Who is Satan
[0:21] Speaker 1: and where did he come from? Hallelujah, hallelujah. Our study
[0:51] Speaker 1: is going to be from a biblical perspective. Biblical perspective.
[0:56] Speaker 2: Why is that so?
[0:58] Speaker 1: Every religion of the over four thousand plus religions that
[1:02] Speaker 1: we have registered on earth, every one of them believes, acknowledgies, serves,
[1:11] Speaker 1: or talks about Satan in some way.
[1:13] Speaker 2: Every religion that we know are way together.
[1:17] Speaker 1: Now. Yes, maybe except for a few that thrive purely
[1:22] Speaker 1: on human consciousness and do not believe in the existence
[1:26] Speaker 1: of spirits or any other thing. But most religions would
[1:30] Speaker 1: acknowledge the presence of an adversary called Satan.
[1:35] Speaker 2: Is called several names.
[1:38] Speaker 1: Now, from Abraham, let me give us a bit of
[1:41] Speaker 1: Bible's history from Abraham. There are three major religions that
[1:45] Speaker 1: came out from Abraham. And usually in study of all
[1:49] Speaker 1: of these things from a classically now, we usually would
[1:53] Speaker 1: use those three religions for reference. That means, from a
[1:57] Speaker 1: classical study now, number one is Judaism. Number two is Islam.
[2:01] Speaker 1: Number three is Christianity. These are the three faith practices
[2:05] Speaker 1: that directly came out of Abraham, Judaism, Islam through Ishmael,
[2:11] Speaker 1: and then the faith practice. Are we learning now? And
[2:15] Speaker 1: all three agree in the existence of an adversary. They
[2:20] Speaker 1: call him different names, But then we know for sure
[2:24] Speaker 1: that Satan is an adversary that we agree across. Religions
[2:30] Speaker 1: may disagree across several things, but Satan has never, in
[2:34] Speaker 1: most religions, never been proported to be a friend.
[2:38] Speaker 2: Are we together now?
[2:40] Speaker 1: So you will when you read about Satan, it's important
[2:44] Speaker 1: that you state your reference. There are differences between the
[2:49] Speaker 1: way Satan is looked at in say Islam or in
[2:53] Speaker 1: Judaism even and then in other faith practices, you know,
[2:57] Speaker 1: Buddhism and all of these other faith practices they have
[3:00] Speaker 1: several angles. So my discourse is with reference to scripture.
[3:04] Speaker 1: Are we together now? Because you will go online and
[3:07] Speaker 1: you will find all kinds of extra biblical references that
[3:11] Speaker 1: attempts to bring the history of Satan from several planes,
[3:16] Speaker 1: some from the intergalactic realm, some from transcendental masters, some
[3:21] Speaker 1: from a scientific standpoint, some from whatever it is. I'm
[3:24] Speaker 1: not here to debate on all of that. We believe
[3:27] Speaker 1: in Jesus, and our reference for discussion and growth is scripture.
[3:31] Speaker 2: Is that clear right now?
[3:33] Speaker 1: So there are three major scriptures that theologians have used
[3:40] Speaker 1: in an attempt to x ray the origin of Satan.
[3:45] Speaker 1: Very strangely, the Book of the Beginnings Genesis is largely
[3:49] Speaker 1: silent about the beginning of Satan, which has confused theologians
[3:54] Speaker 1: for a long time, because you would expect that the
[3:57] Speaker 1: Book of the Beginnings should capture everything to put context
[4:01] Speaker 1: to our work. But the Book of the Beginnings does
[4:04] Speaker 1: not seem to state so much about Satan's origin. It
[4:08] Speaker 1: just started straight with his character and his operation. And
[4:12] Speaker 1: so we need to explore a few other scriptures to
[4:17] Speaker 1: find reference.
[4:18] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[4:19] Speaker 1: But the Bible very clearly. At least, let's use Jesus,
[4:22] Speaker 1: because one of the ways that we learn the ways
[4:24] Speaker 1: of God is Jesus. Jesus himself called Satan a thief
[4:28] Speaker 1: in John chapter ten and verse ten. There are many
[4:32] Speaker 1: names that Satan is called in scripture. Our least a
[4:35] Speaker 1: few of them. Then, will go to his original name
[4:38] Speaker 1: and begin from there. Praise the name of the Lord.
[4:41] Speaker 1: In John chapter ten and verse ten, Jesus himself called
[4:45] Speaker 1: Satan the thief, very definite article, the thief that he
[4:50] Speaker 1: comment not brought for.
[4:51] Speaker 2: To steal, to kill, and to destroy.
[4:53] Speaker 1: And Jesus says, I am contact they may have life,
[4:56] Speaker 1: and that they may have it more abundantly.
[5:00] Speaker 2: So Satan is called devil.
[5:03] Speaker 1: We see one of his names devil, and I told
[5:05] Speaker 1: you that devil is Yes, it's used to identify that
[5:09] Speaker 1: singular individual who heads the demonic kingdom. But more than that,
[5:15] Speaker 1: the word devil is a generic description. It comes from
[5:19] Speaker 1: the Greek word diabolos, diabolos, where you get the word
[5:23] Speaker 1: diabolism the Greek word diabolos, and it means the accuser
[5:27] Speaker 1: or the slanderer. So the devil is from the word diabolos,
[5:34] Speaker 1: from the Greek the accuser or the slanderer. And then
[5:37] Speaker 1: we have Satan or satan now right, it means to oppose,
[5:43] Speaker 1: one who opposes, or one who acts as an adversary.
[5:48] Speaker 1: We have Satan being called the thief. We have Satan
[5:52] Speaker 1: being called the enemy. In the parable of the wit
[5:55] Speaker 1: and the tears. The Bible says, when Jesus saw it,
[5:58] Speaker 1: he said the enemy had done this. We see Satan
[6:01] Speaker 1: called the evil one we see se and called inefficients
[6:07] Speaker 1: up to two and verse two, for instance, the Prince
[6:10] Speaker 1: of the power of the air, the Prince of the
[6:14] Speaker 1: power of the air. He is also called the spirit
[6:17] Speaker 1: that works in the children of disobedience. This has several names.
[6:22] Speaker 1: Satan himself is called the adversary, the adversary, But the
[6:29] Speaker 1: original name of Satan, has revealed in scripture, is Lucifer.
[6:36] Speaker 1: The word lucifer from the Hebrew tongue. When it is translated,
[6:41] Speaker 1: it means the shining one or the light bearer. Now,
[6:50] Speaker 1: I want to tell you a little story, and I
[6:53] Speaker 1: pray that you will understand and be blessed by it
[6:57] Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus. There are three scriptures classically
[7:02] Speaker 1: that we use in scripture in discussing the origin of Satan.
[7:06] Speaker 1: The first of them, as we see, is Revelations, chapter twelve,
[7:12] Speaker 1: from verse seven, where we read the Bible lets us
[7:15] Speaker 1: know that there was war in heaven, and Michael and
[7:19] Speaker 1: his angels fought against the dragon, another name Satan is called,
[7:23] Speaker 1: and that the dragon fought and his angel. So we
[7:26] Speaker 1: see that Satan at that time already had an organized
[7:29] Speaker 1: system of angels too. Hallelujah, Praise the Lord right, so
[7:34] Speaker 1: verse eight and prevailed not neither was there a place
[7:40] Speaker 1: found for them anymore. That means before that time, where
[7:43] Speaker 1: were they living? They had access to heaven together with
[7:46] Speaker 1: the angels. Are we together now any more? Means the
[7:50] Speaker 1: ones had that access? Right. So let's go to Isaiah fourteen.
[7:56] Speaker 1: Isaiah fourteen. Now to understand we're going to Isaiah forteen
[8:00] Speaker 1: and then Ezekeel twenty eight. You will have to understand
[8:03] Speaker 1: something in theology called prophetic parallels. Please look up Prophetic
[8:08] Speaker 1: parallels means that you can use a story to adominbrate.
[8:13] Speaker 1: You can use a prophetic description to adombreate something that
[8:17] Speaker 1: has happened in time past or something that will happen
[8:21] Speaker 1: in the future.
[8:22] Speaker 2: For instance, if I look at.
[8:24] Speaker 1: You and I say, let's say you have a son
[8:31] Speaker 1: and his father used to steal, and I say, young man,
[8:35] Speaker 1: keep behaving foolishly. That is how that man stole and
[8:38] Speaker 1: he was thrown away. You understand what I'm saying. Now,
[8:41] Speaker 1: I'm using the story connected to this man, but the
[8:45] Speaker 1: warning is to the young man. But that there is
[8:47] Speaker 1: a story that I'm drawing from. Are you getting the
[8:50] Speaker 1: point now? I need to give you this background so
[8:53] Speaker 1: that you will understand what we're about to read.
[8:55] Speaker 2: Because the story we're about to read was written to
[8:58] Speaker 2: real kings.

[9:19] Speaker 1: was a description of the fall of Lucifer. Are you ready?
[9:23] Speaker 1: Please look up? How had thou fallen from heaven? All Lucifer,
[9:29] Speaker 1: son of the Morning, that's the meaning of his name,
[9:32] Speaker 1: the light Biera, son of the Morning. How are thou
[9:35] Speaker 1: caught down to the ground, which did weaken the nations?
[9:40] Speaker 1: While reading to verse seventeen, very quickly verse two or
[9:43] Speaker 1: next verse, For thou hast said in your heart, I
[9:48] Speaker 1: will ast send into heaven. I will exalt my throne
[9:52] Speaker 1: above the stars of God.
[9:55] Speaker 2: I will sit.
[9:56] Speaker 1: Also upon the mound of the congregation in the sides
[10:00] Speaker 1: of the north. Fourteen. I will ascend above the heights
[10:05] Speaker 1: of the clouds. I will be like the most high.
[10:10] Speaker 1: Take note, I will be like the most high. Fifteen.
[10:16] Speaker 1: Yet thou shalt be brought down to Hell and to
[10:19] Speaker 1: the sides of the pit two more Versus sixteen. Now
[10:23] Speaker 1: there that city shall narrowly look upon thee and consider
[10:28] Speaker 1: the saying, is this the man that made the heath
[10:32] Speaker 1: to tremble, that did shake kingdoms seventeen, that made the
[10:37] Speaker 1: world as a wilderness and destroyed the cities thereof that
[10:42] Speaker 1: open it not the house of his prisoners.
[10:45] Speaker 2: Take note of this, because.
[10:47] Speaker 1: I will be showing you a name and a story
[10:50] Speaker 1: that Jesus gave about Satan that we do not find
[10:53] Speaker 1: in scripture. The name is a moderer. He says, you
[10:56] Speaker 1: are of your father, the devil. For from the beginning
[11:00] Speaker 1: he was a moderer. We'll never see him killing Adam,
[11:03] Speaker 1: at least the first contact. That means there was an
[11:05] Speaker 1: old story that even predates Adam. Because Jesus called Satan.
[11:10] Speaker 1: He said, among the many accusations against Satan is that
[11:14] Speaker 1: he was a murderer.
[11:19] Speaker 2: Isekael twenty eight got here Malacatusia.
[11:24] Speaker 1: Verse eleven, second Scripture. This is another prophetic parallel. It
[11:29] Speaker 1: was to the King of Tire. But then there is
[11:34] Speaker 1: a parallel. You will see some things there that could
[11:37] Speaker 1: not have happened to an earthly king. Moreover, the word
[11:40] Speaker 1: of the Lord came on to me, saying verse twelve,
[11:43] Speaker 1: son of Man, take up a lamentation upon the King
[11:48] Speaker 1: of Tyros. So the lamentation was a warning to the king.
[11:51] Speaker 1: But he's about to draw a prophetic reference to one,
[11:56] Speaker 1: the king saying to say it the Lord God, see
[12:00] Speaker 1: less of the sum full of wisdom. This was the
[12:03] Speaker 1: description of Lucifer. Before the fall, you were full of
[12:09] Speaker 1: wisdom and perfect in beauty. Ver's starting dow has been
[12:15] Speaker 1: in Eden. Are you saying that Earth was created already
[12:21] Speaker 1: before the fall of Lucifer. You have to understand this
[12:24] Speaker 1: very very strange. When Lucifer was casted down, the Bible
[12:32] Speaker 1: says he was casted down to earth?
[12:33] Speaker 2: Is that true?
[12:36] Speaker 1: Scientists carbon date rocks, and they tell us that the
[12:40] Speaker 1: Earth is millions and millions of years old. They are
[12:43] Speaker 1: not lying. The oldest man on Earth from Adam, as
[12:47] Speaker 1: we know, is barely a little above six thousand years
[12:51] Speaker 1: Is that true? But archeologists and historians have discovered castles,
[12:58] Speaker 1: They have discovered zemblances of civilizations that are more than
[13:04] Speaker 1: six thousand years ago. That means that there is an
[13:07] Speaker 1: old story, an old story that predates Adam. Let's finish up.
[13:15] Speaker 1: It says, every precious stone was covering. Please just just
[13:19] Speaker 1: be graphic about this. Use your mind and look at
[13:22] Speaker 1: how Satan was that precious stones where he's covering the
[13:26] Speaker 1: saudius to pass, the diamond, the burial, the onyx, the jasper, sapphire,
[13:31] Speaker 1: emerald and cab uncle, and gold. The workmanship of thy
[13:37] Speaker 1: timbreds and of thy pipes were prepared in the day
[13:41] Speaker 1: that thou was created.
[13:43] Speaker 2: That means Satan was created.
[13:46] Speaker 1: Hello, Satan was You will be learning from this that
[13:53] Speaker 1: the ac enemy of Satan is not God. The ac
[13:57] Speaker 1: enemy of Satan is Man. Are we together Satan is
[14:03] Speaker 1: a created being.
[14:05] Speaker 2: Let me quickly give.
[14:06] Speaker 1: You two scriptures to support that, so that there's no confusion.
[14:10] Speaker 1: Satan is a created being. In fact three scriptures. One
[14:14] Speaker 1: is John one, verse three. The Bible says, and for
[14:18] Speaker 1: without him all things were made by him, how many
[14:21] Speaker 1: things that if you ever see anything that appeared, it
[14:25] Speaker 1: was made by him. And without him was not anything
[14:28] Speaker 1: made that was made Scripture number two, Colossians, Chapter one
[14:33] Speaker 1: and verse sixteen.
[14:35] Speaker 2: Collosians one and sixteen.
[14:38] Speaker 1: It says, for by him were all things created that
[14:43] Speaker 1: are in heaven, was Satan once in heaven, and that
[14:47] Speaker 1: are in the earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, dominions, principalities,
[14:56] Speaker 1: or powers, all things were created by Him and for.
[15:01] Speaker 2: Him are we together?
[15:07] Speaker 1: And then, of course the last scripture is secl Twenty
[15:09] Speaker 1: eight and verse fifteen. Let's continue our reading now, I
[15:13] Speaker 1: just needed to put that in perspective. Thou wast perfect
[15:17] Speaker 1: in thy ways in the day that thou was created,
[15:22] Speaker 1: until iniquity was found in thee were reading to nineteen.
[15:30] Speaker 1: By the multitudes of thy merchandise, they have filled the
[15:34] Speaker 1: midst of deal with violence, and thou hast seen Therefore,
[15:38] Speaker 1: I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain
[15:42] Speaker 1: of the Lord. Remember Psalm twenty four. Who shall ascend
[15:46] Speaker 1: to the heel of the Lord? And I will destroy
[15:49] Speaker 1: thee or covering sherrop. So we now see that Satan
[15:54] Speaker 1: was a sherrop that covered in the midst of the
[15:58] Speaker 1: stones of fire. No mention of the King of Tire
[16:01] Speaker 1: being in the midst of the stones of fire.
[16:03] Speaker 2: He will not even survive it. Seventeen.
[16:08] Speaker 1: Okay, he said, thy heart was lifted up because of
[16:11] Speaker 1: your beauty. Ahah. The Bible is not put in perspective.
[16:16] Speaker 1: We need to examine why Satan would rebel from a
[16:19] Speaker 1: place like heaven. Thine heart was lifted up because of
[16:24] Speaker 1: thy beauty. Thou hast corrupted. And then he said, thou
[16:29] Speaker 1: hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness. Take
[16:35] Speaker 1: note of the things that can corrupt people beauty wisdom.
[16:39] Speaker 1: He said, I will cast thee to the ground. I
[16:42] Speaker 1: will lay thee before kings that they may beholding eighteen.
[16:47] Speaker 1: Thou hast defiled the sanctuaries by the multitude of thy iniquities,
[16:52] Speaker 1: by the iniquity of thy traffic. Therefore, I will bring
[16:56] Speaker 1: forth a fire from the midst of thee. It shall
[16:59] Speaker 1: default thee. I will bring them to ashes upon the
[17:02] Speaker 1: earth in the sight of all them that behold the
[17:05] Speaker 1: last verse. All day that know the among the people
[17:09] Speaker 1: shall be astonished. At da thou shall be a terror,
[17:13] Speaker 1: And never shall that be anymore.
[17:15] Speaker 2: Prophetic parallels are you seeing now?
[17:19] Speaker 1: Because the king that this judgment was upon later died
[17:22] Speaker 1: was Satan is still existing.
[17:23] Speaker 2: So that's why I told you see prophetic parallels.
[17:26] Speaker 1: There are things that could not have been the king,
[17:28] Speaker 1: and there are things that could not have been Satan?
[17:32] Speaker 1: Are you learning? So? We know that Satan was a
[17:36] Speaker 1: created being according to scripture, that he was Lucifer, one
[17:41] Speaker 1: of the sherups in heaven that was made according to
[17:45] Speaker 1: Collosians after one and verse sixteen by God and for
[17:49] Speaker 1: his glory. But then the Bible tells us that something happened.
[17:53] Speaker 1: Revelations twelve tells us there was war in heaven. Please
[17:57] Speaker 1: look up? What did Satan really want? That is really
[18:04] Speaker 1: what I want to help us and then will pray.
[18:07] Speaker 1: At least it is enough for us to know that
[18:09] Speaker 1: he was created by God. No matter what he is
[18:11] Speaker 1: and no matter how long he existed, we know that
[18:14] Speaker 1: he is God's creation.
[18:15] Speaker 2: But what made Satan? Listen carefully?
[18:18] Speaker 1: What made Satan to rebel against God? And what makes
[18:23] Speaker 1: Satan to still hate men today? We need to examine this.
[18:28] Speaker 1: What is he looking for? To answer this question in truth?

[18:40] Speaker 1: two schools of thought, and all of them are what considering.
[18:43] Speaker 1: I will give it to you and then would discuss
[18:45] Speaker 1: number one. The first school of thought is believed that
[18:50] Speaker 1: Satan from Ezekiel twenty eight, that Satan wanted to run
[18:56] Speaker 1: a parallel government he said, I will exalt myself above
[18:59] Speaker 1: this of God. I will be like the most high.
[19:03] Speaker 1: There was an obsession by reason of his beauty. The
[19:07] Speaker 1: Bible says his beauty and his excellence and his wisdom
[19:10] Speaker 1: flattered him. That is also proven through his manipulation over
[19:16] Speaker 1: Ethley kings. We see nebokat Neza also that these kings
[19:19] Speaker 1: can be carried away by their beauty and their splendor,
[19:23] Speaker 1: and they will want to be God. And we see
[19:25] Speaker 1: that the same kind of judgment that was metted on
[19:27] Speaker 1: Satan was meted on nebuchad Nezza. From a sup he
[19:32] Speaker 1: was thrown down to become nothing. Nebuchad Nezzer, from an
[19:36] Speaker 1: exalted king, he was thrown down to become an animal.
[19:39] Speaker 1: Are we together now? You can see those parallels. So
[19:42] Speaker 1: the first gool of thought agrees that Satan fell because
[19:46] Speaker 1: of that desire. I don't believe Satan wanted to overthrow God.
[19:52] Speaker 1: Is clear that he can't do that. But I know
[19:55] Speaker 1: that Satan wanted to run a parallel government so that
[19:58] Speaker 1: you can choose the option of God or him. It
[20:03] Speaker 1: is still the character of Satan till today. Every time
[20:06] Speaker 1: Satan's told this, what God is doing he tries to
[20:09] Speaker 1: create an alternative system to it away together. Now, now,
[20:14] Speaker 1: the second school of thoughts, which is equally worth.
[20:17] Speaker 2: Considering, is the timing of Revelations.
[20:22] Speaker 1: Chapter twelve and verse seven gives us a very serious picture.
[20:25] Speaker 1: It says that Satan was cast to the earth, and
[20:28] Speaker 1: that means that means that the earth was already dear.
[20:33] Speaker 1: And if the earth is already dear, then it also
[20:37] Speaker 1: goes to tell us, now, look or please, where do
[20:45] Speaker 1: you think Satan god the idea that he can be
[20:48] Speaker 1: like God?

[21:11] Speaker 1: argue that Satan fell after man was created. Personally, I
[21:20] Speaker 1: don't agree with that, but I'm going to teach you
[21:21] Speaker 1: what I believe.
[21:23] Speaker 2: I way together, just to honor those schools of thoughts.
[21:26] Speaker 1: It is believed that when God made Man and Satan,
[21:29] Speaker 1: so the potential that man had now become in the
[21:33] Speaker 1: image of God. No creature was ever made in the
[21:37] Speaker 1: image of God. They were made in the likeness of God.
[21:39] Speaker 1: That jealousy. Are you seeing that that desire to be jealous?
[21:47] Speaker 1: And you see you can see that character consistent with
[21:51] Speaker 1: the operation of Satan too, that every time something new
[21:54] Speaker 1: comes that surpasses the old, the old fights it. You
[21:57] Speaker 1: see Jacob and Isaul, you see Ishmael, you see Abraham.
[22:02] Speaker 2: Is that true?
[22:03] Speaker 1: You see all of these parallels that Satan saw that
[22:07] Speaker 1: man was created now in the image and the likeness
[22:11] Speaker 1: of God. Now, I do not believe that for many reasons.
[22:16] Speaker 1: Number one, because according to Genesis chapter one and verse
[22:20] Speaker 1: thirty one, that is a scripture that I use for
[22:23] Speaker 1: my basis to argue away that the Bible says and
[22:27] Speaker 1: God saw that everything that he had made was good,
[22:31] Speaker 1: so it would not be possible for God to call
[22:34] Speaker 1: everything good when Satan. Are you getting the idea? Now? Yes,
[22:43] Speaker 1: everything he had made was good, and the evening and
[22:46] Speaker 1: the morning came. Look or please, I hope you realize
[22:50] Speaker 1: that in the making of man Genesis chapter one and
[22:57] Speaker 1: Genesis chapter two. Oh dear, I wish we'll have the time.
[23:00] Speaker 1: There are two different contexts of discussions apart. Now, I
[23:05] Speaker 1: don't want to confuse you, because many people just read
[23:07] Speaker 1: their Bible from one and two. You will see that
[23:10] Speaker 1: in the making of man it was creation. In Genesis
[23:14] Speaker 1: chapter two, it is the formation of man. When God
[23:18] Speaker 1: bless man in Genesis chapter two, it was a damn
[23:22] Speaker 1: man like the spirit of man. The woman was in
