A group of journalists and election observers were asking the Commission on Elections for transparency in the conduct of the 2022 automated polls. They were advocating for the use of digital signatures and asked the poll body to observe the printing of ballots, examine the SD cards and vote counting machines, and that they be given access to the technical hubs, servers, and data centers. To what extent can they compel COMELEC to allow their request?
