[1:57] Speaker 1: We're gonna do some grilling. Friends. Now is the time
[2:00] Speaker 1: I'm and Susie, thank you for the ten dollars superchestes
[2:03] Speaker 1: is six sixty six. I can't see what Justin and

[2:24] Speaker 1: quack barbeque is good even at midnight. I agree. And
[2:27] Speaker 1: if I known anything about cooking duck, which I've had before,
[2:30] Speaker 1: you got to cook that well done. So I got
[2:31] Speaker 1: the fire set to hot right now. Friends, and Reverend
[2:35] Speaker 1: Danger great name. By the way, thank you for the
[2:37] Speaker 1: super chat, says Doug doesn't condone slavery. Check make Christians.
[2:40] Speaker 1: He doesn't. Doug is not pro slavery. Not a thing
[2:44] Speaker 1: that Doug is about. Now that being said, we do
[2:48] Speaker 1: have a guest waiting to waiting to get in, so
[2:52] Speaker 1: we're gonna get our guest here in just a second.

[3:01] Speaker 1: Thank you so much for sending out five d Z memberships.
[3:05] Speaker 1: And as always, if you have access to the Crack
[3:08] Speaker 1: and Crew Elite membership, you have access to the Deconstruction
[3:11] Speaker 1: cheat sheet. It is the best cheat sheet I think
[3:14] Speaker 1: available for what we're doing. And Brooklyn, thank you so
[3:18] Speaker 1: much for the super chest, says new to your channel.
[3:20] Speaker 1: Thank you well, Brooklyn. Thank you for subscribing, liking, and
[3:25] Speaker 1: also for supporting via super chat. Big w my friend.
[3:27] Speaker 1: I appreciate that we're gonna grab Creed in here and
[3:33] Speaker 1: we'll get our first discussion started. Creed, welcome in. Oh,
[3:40] Speaker 1: sir Creed, we've talked probably twice now, right.
[3:44] Speaker 2: Oh should I leave?
[3:46] Speaker 1: Oh? You don't have to leave. I'm just trying to
[3:49] Speaker 1: make sure and just trying to keep everything straight.
[3:53] Speaker 2: New evidence against to you? Now?
[3:55] Speaker 1: Fair enough? So what's your new evidence for your godden?
[4:00] Speaker 2: So there's truth that Adam and the Ease is real,
[4:03] Speaker 2: although it's definitely not proof of that. I neither heard
[4:07] Speaker 2: of line of Condri. Adam not a Condu man.
[4:10] Speaker 1: They lived like three hundred thousand years apart.
[4:15] Speaker 2: It still sounds similar to the Biblical story, though.
[4:17] Speaker 1: Not even clothes.
[4:20] Speaker 2: Could not be like a I mean, the Bible doesn't
[4:22] Speaker 2: say the earth is six thousand years old, so it
[4:24] Speaker 2: could still be the same.
[4:25] Speaker 1: It actually does. It traces Jesus's lineage all the way
[4:28] Speaker 1: back to Adam in Luke chapter three, So all he's
[4:34] Speaker 1: got to do is Addam the lineage is.
[4:35] Speaker 2: Yeah, do you believe the earth is six thousand years old?
[4:39] Speaker 3: No?
[4:43] Speaker 2: Well, also, your last time you were here, you're trying
[4:45] Speaker 2: to tone that Jesus isn't God under that has no
[4:49] Speaker 2: evidence against you.
[4:50] Speaker 1: Being that Jesus isn't God, just as U goes hand
[4:54] Speaker 1: to hand with the fact that God doesn't exist. Right,
[4:57] Speaker 1: So I think before you could claim that Jesus is
[4:59] Speaker 1: God good, probably need to demonstrate that God even exists.
[5:02] Speaker 1: But I mean, theoretically, if there is a God, like
[5:06] Speaker 1: if somebody was able to prove that, we could make
[5:09] Speaker 1: an argument that an entity that we've seen on the
[5:12] Speaker 1: planet is a manifestation of that God. But you need
[5:15] Speaker 1: good evidence for it.
[5:21] Speaker 2: Well, I mean, like I was looking into some of
[5:23] Speaker 2: these like old tests and aposthesies, and I was thinking,
[5:25] Speaker 2: like Isaiah seventy fourteen really could be apothesy because like
[5:30] Speaker 2: it's reference, Like why would the authors think that it
[5:32] Speaker 2: was a prophecy that wasn't a prophecy.
[5:34] Speaker 1: It is a prophecy, just not about Jesus.
[5:38] Speaker 2: Matthew's writers seem to think it is.
[5:40] Speaker 1: Matthew's an idiot.
[5:44] Speaker 2: What did you think? What did you think? You didn't
[5:45] Speaker 2: know what he's talking about?
[5:46] Speaker 1: Because if you just read Isaiah seven, it's clear that
[5:49] Speaker 1: it's not about a Messiah at all. It's about a
[5:51] Speaker 1: child that's born during the reign of King A has
[5:54] Speaker 1: and before that child is old enough to know right
[5:55] Speaker 1: from wrong, King A has his troubles. They are going
[5:58] Speaker 1: to be wiped away by the King of the Syrium.
[6:01] Speaker 1: So Matthew's just coping.
[6:05] Speaker 2: I know, but you know, and I know that, Like
[6:07] Speaker 2: can't you say? It's like, like, you know, it doesn't
[6:10] Speaker 2: prove that God is real because God was hiding stuff
[6:13] Speaker 2: in the text for us to find later on identify prophecies.
[6:17] Speaker 1: It's weird because he told you that you can test
[6:20] Speaker 1: the prophecies, so he can't be hiding prophecies that magically
[6:26] Speaker 1: appear later only if you divorce it from his context.
[6:29] Speaker 1: Why would I believe that the prophecy has a meaning
[6:31] Speaker 1: that's divorced from the original context and the original meaning.
[6:35] Speaker 2: Like for with Psalm twenty two is absolutely about Jesus Christ.
[6:39] Speaker 1: It's absolutely not not even a prophecy.
[6:42] Speaker 2: Well, it says, my God, my God, why are you
[6:44] Speaker 2: mistake in me? Like in Jesus Christ is on the cross,
[6:46] Speaker 2: and you know, God looked away while Jesus was in
[6:50] Speaker 2: pained tears to hands in's feet, which happened with him.
[6:53] Speaker 1: Criticide doesn't say a damn thing about piercing anyone's feets
[6:58] Speaker 1: or hands.
[7:00] Speaker 2: Had the King James, by the ways, it says that
[7:02] Speaker 2: you should throw the King James Bible away.
[7:04] Speaker 1: It's not a good translation. The Hebrew word for pierce
[7:07] Speaker 1: is the car doesn't show up in that passage. What
[7:09] Speaker 1: the word in the passage is is a word that
[7:12] Speaker 1: nobody knows what it means, because it's not a real
[7:14] Speaker 1: word that exists in Biblical Hebrew. It's possibly a misspelling
[7:18] Speaker 1: of carew. It's possibly cuttery, which means like a lion.
[7:23] Speaker 1: It's possibly a misspelling of kara. We don't really know
[7:29] Speaker 1: what it is. The fact, what we have in the
[7:31] Speaker 1: text isn't a real world, which is why every English
[7:34] Speaker 1: translation translates it differently. In fact, the different editions of
[7:37] Speaker 1: the Greek scept Tu agent all had different words in
[7:40] Speaker 1: there too, because they couldn't figure out what it meant. Also,
[7:46] Speaker 1: psalms aren't prophecies, by the way.
[7:49] Speaker 2: I know, but you, like I said, God is like
[7:51] Speaker 2: hiding messages in Gigi's writings, No, you certainly it seems
[7:57] Speaker 2: that way, though it doesn't seem that way.
[7:58] Speaker 1: All hands to.
[8:00] Speaker 2: Seat like Dayvid, like shiple Jesus under data's lineage.
[8:05] Speaker 1: No, Jesus was not related to David whatsoever. Jesin was,
[8:10] Speaker 1: and so Joseph Jesus. Oh, listen, when Joseph took in Jesus,
[8:17] Speaker 1: Jesus became part of the data's lineage. That's not true.
[8:21] Speaker 1: I mean we're talking about a blood lineage, right, actual
[8:25] Speaker 1: blood lineage. The idea that Jesus is related to Joseph
[8:29] Speaker 1: merely because he was adopted is fanciful at best. Also,
[8:33] Speaker 1: the lineage can't even agree on who Joseph's father was.
[8:37] Speaker 1: They disagree on Joseph's actual father.
[8:40] Speaker 2: Or didn't. Can't it just be like the first and
[8:42] Speaker 2: last name was used for like one genealogy and the
[8:44] Speaker 2: other was another one.
[8:46] Speaker 1: They didn't have last names.
[8:48] Speaker 2: They didn't have last names back in the day.
[8:50] Speaker 1: No, it was so and so son of so and
[8:54] Speaker 1: so or so and so the baker, you know, but
[8:58] Speaker 1: they didn't have like first last name is proper like
[9:01] Speaker 1: we do.
[9:03] Speaker 2: Okay, do you not see how this modern phlossy is
[9:06] Speaker 2: like out of Egypt, I called my son. That's a prophecy,
[9:09] Speaker 2: not even close? Are you sure? Like I want to
[9:17] Speaker 2: see truth?
[9:18] Speaker 1: Well, Hosea eleven is out of Egypt, I've called my son,
[9:21] Speaker 1: and Hosea eleven is recounting history. I'll put it on
[9:25] Speaker 1: the screen for you. Actually, Hoseiah eleven, Verse one starts
[9:31] Speaker 1: out when Israel was a child, I loved him, and
[9:33] Speaker 1: out of Egypt I called my son. The more I
[9:35] Speaker 1: called them, the more they went from me. And they
[9:37] Speaker 1: kept sacrificing to the balls and offering instance titles. That's
[9:41] Speaker 1: not even in the future tens. It's just in the
[9:43] Speaker 1: past tense. It's not a prophecy, it's a history.
[9:52] Speaker 2: Yes, I think about think about this. This could be
[9:54] Speaker 2: paralleling what happened to Jesus, see Jesus. It's not the
[9:58] Speaker 2: people also re jet to Jesus, just like the Israel
[10:00] Speaker 2: rejected God.
[10:01] Speaker 1: Now that's not what this says. The child is the
[10:04] Speaker 1: one rejecting God, which means if this is a parallel
[10:06] Speaker 1: to Jesus, then this would mean Jesus is rejecting God.
[10:13] Speaker 2: Well, nip n, it doesn't work that. There's like like
[10:16] Speaker 2: all the miracles like you can see that for example,
[10:18] Speaker 2: the Exodus, like the and the like the and the
[10:21] Speaker 2: tape that they sound in the egypt theres like uh.
[10:24] Speaker 2: There was also about like a like a red Sea
[10:26] Speaker 2: turning the blood and.
[10:28] Speaker 1: That didn't happen. Like, uh, you're referring to the ipuw
[10:31] Speaker 1: wor text. That's the way you're referring to.
[10:34] Speaker 2: What about it? It talks about like a toss about
[10:38] Speaker 2: the Exodus. What happened with like the oh, it certainly doesn't.
[10:41] Speaker 1: The ipwor text was from like a thousand years before
[10:45] Speaker 1: the exoss would have been. It was like from from
[10:49] Speaker 1: the year twenty three hundred BC.
[10:53] Speaker 2: Okay, okay, Well you don't think that is a good narracle.
[10:56] Speaker 2: You don't know that the on the discorched and ounta
[10:58] Speaker 2: and range now sign on.
[11:00] Speaker 1: It's not a miracle at all. The blood of the
[11:04] Speaker 1: rivers never turned the water, never turned the blood. In fact,
[11:07] Speaker 1: if you read the excess narrative, frogs come up out
[11:10] Speaker 1: of the water. After all, the water in Egypt was
[11:12] Speaker 1: turned to blood. How are the frogs living in blood water?
[11:19] Speaker 2: Magic?
[11:20] Speaker 1: Yeah? I agree, it's magic. Yeah, yeah, it's always magic. Yeah.
[11:24] Speaker 2: I mean like, I mean, like you got to realize it, Like,
[11:26] Speaker 2: if you're a Christian, you got throw out science.
[11:28] Speaker 1: I agree completely, Yes, as you believe in a magic
[11:33] Speaker 1: man in the sky, you believe in magic, not science.
[11:35] Speaker 1: I know.
[11:37] Speaker 2: It's like you staid about this. Like you, it's simple.
[11:40] Speaker 2: Let's say you're like a scientist and you see no
[11:42] Speaker 2: evidence as God. Let's say you're like a person who
[11:44] Speaker 2: goes to church and hear about God, which a lifestyle
[11:47] Speaker 2: sounds more reasonable to.
[11:48] Speaker 1: You, But you haven't give me two to pick.
[11:51] Speaker 2: One would either be a scientist who does not believe
[11:55] Speaker 2: the God or a Thurston who's never really studied science,
[11:58] Speaker 2: so who goes to church every week.
[12:00] Speaker 1: I'm definitely going with science.
[12:03] Speaker 2: Say Christianity like promotes ideas like healthy people and treaty
[12:07] Speaker 2: had one equally.
[12:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, so science.
[12:11] Speaker 2: No evolutions. Like for thee to say exactly kindness.
[12:14] Speaker 1: That's not exactly what evolution means. It doesn't mean that
[12:17] Speaker 1: the fittest gets to harm though the weakest. In fact,
[12:20] Speaker 1: according to evolutionary theory, we should be. The fittest should
[12:24] Speaker 1: actually be helping the weakest because we survive better as
[12:27] Speaker 1: a species when we were a collective, not not working
[12:31] Speaker 1: against each other.
[12:34] Speaker 2: Well, you can't name one, dad saying Christianity has done
[12:37] Speaker 2: in history.
[12:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, they literally created the largest Christian slave holding denomination
[12:43] Speaker 1: in existence, the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest us denomination
[12:47] Speaker 1: was created to maintain slavery. They also were burning scientists
[12:52] Speaker 1: at the stake. They were burning their own people for
[12:56] Speaker 1: uh for breaking away from Orthodoxy. They were torturing people
[13:03] Speaker 1: that they thought were heretics. During the reign of Theodosius
[13:07] Speaker 1: the Second and later they were going around literally destroying
[13:11] Speaker 1: all of theophy, the Greek philosophy texts they can find.
[13:17] Speaker 2: Wasn't that the Catholic Church and like like Christians would
[13:20] Speaker 2: usually consider the Catholics to be like the part of us,
[13:22] Speaker 2: like that, you think they riached away from our teachings
[13:24] Speaker 2: a long time ago.
[13:24] Speaker 1: The only Christians there were for the first fifteen hundred
[13:27] Speaker 1: years were Catholics.
[13:31] Speaker 2: That's not true.
[13:31] Speaker 1: That is one hundred percent true. You didn't have non
[13:35] Speaker 1: Catholics until the first Schism, and then after that you
[13:38] Speaker 1: didn't have another offshoot of Catholicism till the fifteen hundreds.
[13:44] Speaker 1: So for the bulk of Christian history, the Catholic Church
[13:47] Speaker 1: was it. That was Christianity.
[13:52] Speaker 2: How you explained all these deno nations now have all
[13:54] Speaker 2: theseferent practices, Well.
[13:55] Speaker 1: It's easy because the Bible is super incoherent on very
[14:00] Speaker 1: important doctrines, like whether or not you need to be baptized,
[14:02] Speaker 1: what your mode of baptism is, whether or not you
[14:05] Speaker 1: need to follow the law, whether or not the law
[14:07] Speaker 1: was temporary or permanent. I mean, there's all kinds of
[14:10] Speaker 1: like important doctoral issues that the Bible doesn't clearly address,
[14:13] Speaker 1: and that's why people just have fundamental disagreements over theological issues.
[14:19] Speaker 2: Actually, sir, the Bible's pretty clear adaptism is important and
[14:22] Speaker 2: it should be full of motion baptism.
[14:23] Speaker 1: That's not true at all.
[14:27] Speaker 2: Well, Jesus says that yes, to be born with the
[14:29] Speaker 2: water and spirit.
[14:31] Speaker 4: So did he say you have to be dunked? Can
[14:41] Speaker 4: you go to heaven without being dunked?
[14:47] Speaker 2: I don't really think so. You can mean, yeah, it's
[14:50] Speaker 2: talks about how you can get into head in us
[14:52] Speaker 2: or born as.
[14:53] Speaker 1: Jesus, right, right, but without being dunked underwater? Can you
[14:57] Speaker 1: go to heaven without being baptized through a So if
[15:01] Speaker 1: you had water sprinkled over your head for your baptism,
[15:03] Speaker 1: can you go to heaven?
[15:06] Speaker 2: Well? I would traditionally say that's not a very good
[15:09] Speaker 2: debt because the syndalism is that you're buried as Christ
[15:13] Speaker 2: resurrected out of the water and ken you're having water
[15:16] Speaker 2: streat on your head. Isn't really dairy and like a
[15:18] Speaker 2: dairy officer.
[15:20] Speaker 1: I mean, fair enough. If you want to use the metaphor,
[15:23] Speaker 1: that's the right one to fit the metaphor. But that
[15:25] Speaker 1: didn't really answer my question. My question is if you
[15:27] Speaker 1: get baptized via sprinkle, will you go to heaven or Hell?
[15:35] Speaker 2: I can't decendedly answer that question that I would totally
[15:38] Speaker 2: say you can't get into heaven or something like doing
[15:40] Speaker 2: God's way word, it's not about us, no.
[15:42] Speaker 1: God, Okay, so it's not through faith alone. You have
[15:45] Speaker 1: to do the works.
[15:46] Speaker 2: Too, No, sir, Like literally last Sunday and the preacher
[15:50] Speaker 2: talked to you.
[15:53] Speaker 1: So you're demonstrating my point. You can't that you guys
[15:56] Speaker 1: can't agree on what kind of baptism you need because
[15:58] Speaker 1: the thief on the cross wasn't baptized in all well,
[16:00] Speaker 1: he went to heaven, right, you can't agree on baptism.
[16:02] Speaker 1: You can't agree on whether or not you need faith
[16:04] Speaker 1: plus works or just faith alone. Because if I am
[16:08] Speaker 1: a Christian, but then I go out and commit one
[16:10] Speaker 1: of the sins listed in Frith Christian Chapter six, verse nine,
[16:14] Speaker 1: then I go to hell. If I commit one of
[16:15] Speaker 1: the sins in Revelation chapter twenty one, verse seven and eight,
[16:19] Speaker 1: I go to hell, So James. Chapter two clearly says
[16:22] Speaker 1: you need faith and works. So again, your book creates
[16:26] Speaker 1: these denominations because it's not coherent on like some of
[16:30] Speaker 1: the most basic issues. Which leads me to another question,
[16:34] Speaker 1: which is which denomination got it right?
[16:38] Speaker 2: Well, I believe the nominations are wrong, No, but which
[16:43] Speaker 2: one got it right? Well? I had to say, like
[16:47] Speaker 2: a branch, I'll say Church of Christ.
[16:49] Speaker 1: The Church of Christ. That's the only denomination that got
[16:51] Speaker 1: it right. All the rest of them are wrong.
[16:53] Speaker 2: It's not as nominations, sir.
[16:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, the Church of Christ is a denominations. It's headquarters
[16:58] Speaker 1: is in my state.
[17:02] Speaker 2: Maybe maybe you're thinking of a different one. It's just
[17:04] Speaker 2: that's the non denomination.
[17:05] Speaker 1: There's two of them. There's a Church of Christ and
[17:07] Speaker 1: there's United Church of Christ. Both of them are are formal,
[17:11] Speaker 1: formal denominations.
[17:14] Speaker 2: This is the point. I'm just saying that that you
[17:19] Speaker 2: need to eat that like in order to you need
[17:21] Speaker 2: to do things that the Bible says, like you can't
[17:23] Speaker 2: just nke up your own rules. That the Catholics made
[17:25] Speaker 2: up their own rook, and now people will join it.
[17:27] Speaker 1: So if you have to do what the Bible tells
[17:29] Speaker 1: you to do, then that's salvation through works. The minute
[17:33] Speaker 1: you have to do something, it's now salvation through works.
[17:38] Speaker 2: It's not a work as God commanded it.
[17:40] Speaker 1: No, No, if you have to do something, if it's
[17:43] Speaker 1: something you must do, that is a works based salvation.
[17:47] Speaker 1: This is how words work.
[17:51] Speaker 2: That's a that's a really bad Protestant argument to go
[17:54] Speaker 2: make over the years.
[17:54] Speaker 1: It's not a Protestant argument, it's a semantic argument. The
[17:58] Speaker 1: word work and the word do in Hebrews literally the
[18:01] Speaker 1: exact same word asa in Hebrew is the same word
[18:04] Speaker 1: for work and for do. Doing something is working. A
[18:09] Speaker 1: works based salvation means you have to do something. So
[18:12] Speaker 1: the minute you tell me I have to do something
[18:14] Speaker 1: to be saved, it is now a works based salvation.
[18:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's two thirty eight. Yeah, they're tears through
[18:22] Speaker 2: the heart. And they asked what did they do? And
[18:24] Speaker 2: Peter says they can't be baptized. Yeah, they're clearly that thought.
[18:27] Speaker 2: And it says it's not just for now, for all
[18:30] Speaker 2: future generations. So he gives you, he gets the Holy Spirit. Now,
[18:34] Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit you're not a Christian, Sir.
[18:36] Speaker 1: And so, And what happens if you are also a
[18:40] Speaker 1: liar and a drunkard? What happens?
[18:43] Speaker 2: He can be forgetting for those Since.
[18:45] Speaker 1: No, no, no, what does Paul say happens?
[18:49] Speaker 2: I mean you go to hell. But he's talking about
[18:50] Speaker 2: non baptized people.
[18:51] Speaker 1: He didn't say that. He's talking to his own church.
[18:55] Speaker 2: One Crimpians, chapter six, like a non He.
[19:01] Speaker 1: Didn't say non repentant people.
[19:04] Speaker 2: I want to see this passage.
[19:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, First Corinthians, chapter six, verse nine. I'll put it
[19:09] Speaker 1: on the screen. He lists a bunch of sins that
[19:12] Speaker 1: will get you excommunicated from heaven. So do you not
[19:15] Speaker 1: know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?
[19:18] Speaker 1: Do not be deceived. It's sexually immoral idolators, adulterers, male prostitutes,
[19:22] Speaker 1: men who engage innalistic sex, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, swindlers.
[19:28] Speaker 1: None of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Meaning
[19:31] Speaker 1: if you're an alcoholic, according to Paul, you can't get
[19:34] Speaker 1: into the Kingdom of Heaven.
[19:39] Speaker 2: He's talking to people who are not repented, so you
[19:41] Speaker 2: can't just pull He didn't say that.
[19:44] Speaker 1: He didn't say that. He didn't say of the unrepentant,
[19:48] Speaker 1: because the fact of matter is all of the unrepentant
[19:52] Speaker 1: go to hell. It doesn't matter if you're a drunkard,
[19:54] Speaker 1: it doesn't matter if you're a swindler, if you're unrepentant,
[19:57] Speaker 1: these sins are irrelevant. You go to hell no matter what.
[20:01] Speaker 1: So these sins, this list he's giving, can only apply
[20:04] Speaker 1: to the repentant.
[20:07] Speaker 2: So you're making you're doing the very strong man argument
[20:10] Speaker 2: against me, right.
[20:11] Speaker 1: Now, that's not what straw men means.
[20:14] Speaker 2: Or it seems like what you're doing is you're taking
[20:16] Speaker 2: stuff out of this contest and you got to apply
[20:19] Speaker 2: it all together. Yes, you should not do any of
[20:22] Speaker 2: these continuing sins, and you are continually doing these things,
[20:26] Speaker 2: then you are not going to go to heaven.
[20:28] Speaker 1: But even if you're a repentant.
[20:32] Speaker 2: You didn't say that, sir. It's just don't do those.
[20:34] Speaker 1: Things, right, and if you do those things, what happens.
[20:38] Speaker 2: You'll go to hell. They don't get you'll repent.
[20:40] Speaker 1: That's right. It we didn't say if you don't repent.
[20:42] Speaker 1: He just says, if you do these things, you go
[20:44] Speaker 1: to hell. Right, So, if you're a Christian and you
[20:46] Speaker 1: do these particular sins, then you go to hell. That's
[20:49] Speaker 1: a works based salvation, which is exactly why James pointed
[20:54] Speaker 1: that out. The Book of James is clearly written to
[20:57] Speaker 1: refute Paul's dumb claims about faith alone.
[21:01] Speaker 2: No, the apostles were all inspired by God. They're not
[21:04] Speaker 2: arguing with each other or anything.
[21:05] Speaker 1: They literally did argue with each other. In fact, it
[21:10] Speaker 1: says so it says that that Peter M. Paul had
[21:13] Speaker 1: a verbal disagreement and a fight when they went to
[21:17] Speaker 1: eat with the non Jews, with the non Judge believers.
[21:21] Speaker 2: Yes, okay, but that's in the text, and that's documents
[21:24] Speaker 2: for a reason why. But in the actual doctrines they
[21:27] Speaker 2: all agreed.
[21:27] Speaker 1: No, that's certainly not true. Because Jesus says to obey
[21:31] Speaker 1: the law of Moses. He says to follow the law
[21:34] Speaker 1: until heaven and earth pass away. Paul says it was temporary.
[21:39] Speaker 2: Son hears heaven earth passing away as himself.
[21:44] Speaker 1: No, Jesus is not heaven earth.
[21:47] Speaker 2: He's God, He's literally everything.
[21:48] Speaker 1: He's certainly not heaven on earth.
[21:54] Speaker 2: You can't just make claims that Paul saying this, Like
[21:56] Speaker 2: why is Paul the most common punching bag from atheist.
[21:59] Speaker 1: I don't under because he disagrees with the rest of
[22:02] Speaker 1: the New Testament, so I vehemently it's easy to point out.
[22:06] Speaker 1: And he's also like insane, but like Paul himself can
[22:11] Speaker 1: even agree with himself. Right. So if I asked you,
[22:14] Speaker 1: according to First Corinthians, chapter eight, is it okay to
[22:21] Speaker 1: eat meat sacrificed to idols? Have you read this chapter?
[22:29] Speaker 1: Paul addresses eating meat sacrificed to idols right because people
[22:34] Speaker 1: want to know, and he says, as to the eating
[22:37] Speaker 1: of food offered to idols, we know that no idol
[22:40] Speaker 1: in the world really exists, and that there's no God
[22:43] Speaker 1: but one. Indeed, even though there may be so called
[22:47] Speaker 1: gods in heaven or on earth, as in fact there
[22:50] Speaker 1: are many gods and many lords, Yet for us there
[22:53] Speaker 1: is one God, the Father, from whom all things and
[22:56] Speaker 1: for whom all I'm sorry, and for whom we exist,
[23:00] Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all things, through whom we exist,
[23:03] Speaker 1: or are all things through whom we exist. It is
[23:07] Speaker 1: not everyone, however, who has this knowledge, since some have
[23:10] Speaker 1: become so accustomed to idols until now that they still
[23:13] Speaker 1: think of the food they eat as food offered to
[23:15] Speaker 1: an idol, and their conscious, being weak, is defiled. Food
[23:19] Speaker 1: will not bring us close to God. We are no
[23:21] Speaker 1: worse off if we do not eat, and no better
[23:24] Speaker 1: off if we do. But take care that this liberty
[23:26] Speaker 1: of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block for
[23:29] Speaker 1: the week. Right. So Paul is suggesting here that listen,
[23:33] Speaker 1: as long as you're not like an ex pagan who
[23:36] Speaker 1: feels guilty about eating meat sacrificed idols because you think
[23:39] Speaker 1: those gods actually exist, go ahead, You're at liberty to
[23:42] Speaker 1: eat the meat. Just don't don't let it become a
[23:44] Speaker 1: stumbling block for others. We clear so far.
[23:48] Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I'm gonna engage in this with this in
[23:51] Speaker 2: good face. Now show me your next argument and showing
[23:54] Speaker 2: how that contradicts anything.
[23:55] Speaker 1: Okay, but we have to agree on what's actually happening.
[23:58] Speaker 1: In First Crinthians eight, First Paul suggests that the Corinthians
[24:01] Speaker 1: are at liberty to eat meat sacrificed titles. The problem
[24:07] Speaker 1: is in Acts chapter fifteen and in Revelation chapter two,
[24:11] Speaker 1: that's certainly not the case. In fact, there's a big
[24:15] Speaker 1: meeting between Paul and the apostles because there was a disagreement.
[24:19] Speaker 1: He says, certain individuals came down from Judea, and we're
[24:22] Speaker 1: teaching their brothers. Unless you are circumcised, according to the
[24:24] Speaker 1: custom of Moses, you cannot be saved. And after Paul
[24:28] Speaker 1: and Barnabas had no small dissension. So now they're arguing
[24:32] Speaker 1: about the place of the law. So they have a
[24:33] Speaker 1: big old meeting on it. And this is the conclusion
[24:37] Speaker 1: of the meeting. Let's see should be right about here,
[24:46] Speaker 1: all right? The apostles and the elders, with the consent
[24:48] Speaker 1: of the whole church, decided to choose men from among
[24:51] Speaker 1: them to send them to Antioch and to Paul and Barnabas.
[24:54] Speaker 1: They sent Judas called Barsabas and Silas Sovie. So they
[24:59] Speaker 1: send people to the meeting. There we go, for it
[25:04] Speaker 1: seems good to the Holy Spirit and to us to
[25:06] Speaker 1: impose on you no further burden than these essentials. That
[25:11] Speaker 1: you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and
[25:14] Speaker 1: from blood, and from what is strangled, and from sexual immorality.
[25:18] Speaker 1: If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.
[25:21] Speaker 1: So these were the instructions for how the gentiles could
[25:25] Speaker 1: be in community with the Jews. So you can't eat
[25:29] Speaker 1: the meat sacrificed idols.
[25:33] Speaker 2: Well, I mean, maybe God just changed his mind, and
[25:37] Speaker 2: this time before Corinthians.
[25:38] Speaker 1: Actually no, So the text in Corinthians is after Paul's
[25:42] Speaker 1: first missionary journey. In fact, it's probably midway or near
[25:46] Speaker 1: the end of his second missionary journey, depending on when
[25:49] Speaker 1: you think he wrote the letter. So he already knew
[25:53] Speaker 1: based on the Acts Chapter fifteen Council that they weren't
[25:58] Speaker 1: supposed to be eating meat sacrifice his idles. Also, if
[26:03] Speaker 1: you think this is God breathed, then this just also
[26:05] Speaker 1: means that God contradicted himself.
[26:08] Speaker 2: Didn't say meat. It just says it's stainful what has
[26:11] Speaker 2: been sacrificed to idols. They sacrifice multiple things to idols,
[26:14] Speaker 2: not just meats or.
[26:15] Speaker 1: We're talking about food though. Food sacrifice to idols is
[26:18] Speaker 1: food you shouldn't eat.
[26:23] Speaker 2: It just says what has been sacrificed to idols. Didn't
[26:26] Speaker 2: say anything about neat food.
[26:27] Speaker 1: What do you think they're sacrificing titles?
[26:31] Speaker 2: You know, like it should be grain offerings or food? Yeah? Food, Well,
[26:37] Speaker 2: I mean, nadine, this is like spiritually fulfilled.
[26:42] Speaker 1: Spiritually fulfilled?
[26:43] Speaker 2: Does they even mean no, no, no, I mean like nade,
[26:47] Speaker 2: this is like for a certain time period and like
[26:49] Speaker 2: now it's okay, like the meat is now clean.
[26:53] Speaker 1: No, I didn't say that Paul contradicted himself within the
[26:56] Speaker 1: span of a year or two. Why would God give
[27:01] Speaker 1: contradictory instructions.
[27:06] Speaker 2: I highly doubt the guy that wrote thirteen epistles has
[27:09] Speaker 2: convicted himself that much.
[27:10] Speaker 1: He literally just did. He contradicted himself on whether or
[27:13] Speaker 1: not you can eat meat sacrificed idols.
[27:17] Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I'm sure there's a good donation for this.
[27:20] Speaker 1: I don't think there is. He also contradicts God and
[27:24] Speaker 1: whether or not you should keep the law. In Galatians
[27:26] Speaker 1: three twenty three, he says that law was a temporary
[27:29] Speaker 1: school master, which is probably what you believe as a
[27:31] Speaker 1: Christian right, is that the law.
[27:32] Speaker 2: Was temporary, right, like a silent guardian.
[27:37] Speaker 1: I think kind of says it's a temporary guardian.
[27:42] Speaker 2: That's a dark knight.
[27:43] Speaker 1: Sorry, yes, fine, yeah, but obviously that contradicts what God
[27:49] Speaker 1: in the Hebrew Bible says about the law. God says
[27:51] Speaker 1: in Hebrew Bible to follow the law forever.
[27:59] Speaker 2: I mean, like name, okay, maybe God gave Paul the
[28:02] Speaker 2: authority to make these decisions and declare this to be so.
[28:05] Speaker 1: To contradict God. God gave Paul the authority to contradict himself.
[28:09] Speaker 2: Well, God's mating God's image. God can certainly his opinions
[28:14] Speaker 2: can evolve. This to us time with some of world
[28:17] Speaker 2: changes around him.
[28:17] Speaker 1: God's opinion can evolve.
[28:21] Speaker 2: I mean, not opinion, but like his will can change
[28:24] Speaker 2: it according to our decisions.
[28:26] Speaker 1: We're not so about his will, we're talking about his instructions.
[28:28] Speaker 1: Why would he he tell us to follow the law
[28:31] Speaker 1: forever if he didn't want us to follow the law forever.
[28:36] Speaker 2: There's like, for example, like like Jesus is already kind
[28:40] Speaker 2: of saying don't do certain things anymore because he stops
[28:44] Speaker 2: the wonder from being stoned. You though the old law
[28:46] Speaker 2: clearly suggested, well.
[28:48] Speaker 1: Where do you go? Because right, sure, sorry you you
[28:52] Speaker 1: teak up for half a second. Well, first of all,
[28:54] Speaker 1: I don't believe that story is actually in the Gospel
[28:56] Speaker 1: of John. We don't have an addition of that manuscript
[29:00] Speaker 1: until the fifth of the sixth century. All of our
[29:02] Speaker 1: manuscripts prior to that exclude the story of the women.
[29:07] Speaker 1: But also he didn't tell them not to follow the law.
[29:10] Speaker 2: Actually, he says, he who is out sin kapa first stone.
[29:15] Speaker 2: So like he's clearly pointing out that so long it's
[29:18] Speaker 2: since that one sends nover can do that anymore.
[29:20] Speaker 1: No, it's not at all what he said. What he's
[29:22] Speaker 1: saying is, if the law states that this woman needs
[29:25] Speaker 1: to be stone, go ahead and stoner. But keep in mind,
[29:27] Speaker 1: if we're going to be enforcing the law, you guys
[29:29] Speaker 1: are next. That's what he said.
[29:35] Speaker 2: Okay, why would the story be made up then add
[29:37] Speaker 2: and why would someone add this into the Bible which
[29:39] Speaker 2: is going.
[29:40] Speaker 1: Because it's a great story. It's one of the best
[29:42] Speaker 1: stories in the whole Gospel of John. It's a wonderful story.
[29:47] Speaker 2: Are you telling me some scribe just got bored one
[29:50] Speaker 2: day and wrote all this down?
[29:51] Speaker 1: No, I'm sure it was a story that was circulating
[29:53] Speaker 1: in the community and people liked it so much they
[29:56] Speaker 1: made them at it the same way the Johannine Kama
[30:00] Speaker 1: got added to the manuscripts in like the fifteenth century.
[30:07] Speaker 2: And there's like actual like narracles, like the Eucharis has
[30:10] Speaker 2: turned to blood at the Catholic Church, there were nothing
[30:12] Speaker 2: that service doesn't happen, but sort scientists looked over it
[30:17] Speaker 2: and said it was They said it was the actual blood.
[30:19] Speaker 1: They absolutely did not.
[30:23] Speaker 2: It was mold Catholic. But I believe that God still
[30:27] Speaker 2: blessed the Catholic for a long time and like it's
[30:30] Speaker 2: something mold, sir. They the scientists said it was real,
[30:32] Speaker 2: seen the slash and blood.
[30:33] Speaker 1: They did not.
[30:36] Speaker 2: What's your truth, sir.
[30:37] Speaker 1: I've actually had this debate with a real Catholic who
[30:40] Speaker 1: thinks that all these dumb miracles are proof of God.
[30:44] Speaker 2: Okay, how do you spend the Narryan operations? A lot
[30:46] Speaker 2: of even people in the news people were showed about it.
[30:49] Speaker 1: They didn't if you actually just look at the pictures
[30:50] Speaker 1: and whatnot, they don't look at anything like Mary. These
[30:53] Speaker 1: are mass hysteria, similar to the dancing plague in the
[30:58] Speaker 1: fifteen hundreds in France. Do you believe that God inspired
[31:03] Speaker 1: people in the fifteen hundreds to dance themselves into exhaustion?
[31:10] Speaker 2: No, sir, that's stupid. God would do something that God
[31:12] Speaker 2: does not killed people.
[31:13] Speaker 1: This guy can't be real, creed. You're not a believer
[31:15] Speaker 1: your control, aren't you?
[31:17] Speaker 3: No?
[31:17] Speaker 2: No, No, I'm not all I'm saying. Those are really
[31:19] Speaker 2: ridiculous you're ridiculous thing to say.
[31:21] Speaker 1: You're giggling. You're giggling in a laughing and I think
[31:25] Speaker 1: that's a handful of your responses.
[31:28] Speaker 2: No, because it was stupid. If you say that, I'm serious.
[31:31] Speaker 1: It wasn't stupid. You know, the dancing plague was real, right.
[31:35] Speaker 2: And it was real. Like you say that God calls that,
[31:37] Speaker 2: It's like.
[31:39] Speaker 1: It was. It was inspired by God.
[31:42] Speaker 2: God.
[31:42] Speaker 1: They said they were under the compulsion of God.
[31:46] Speaker 2: It's literally a cloth, like a picture of narrative. Nobody
[31:49] Speaker 2: can explain how it got there.
[31:50] Speaker 1: A claw, a cloth, that's a cloth? What cloth? Yeah,
[31:57] Speaker 1: are you talking about the shrouded turning? Yeah, the shroud
[32:01] Speaker 1: of Turin is a thirteenth century forgery. It was crazy,
[32:05] Speaker 1: using pig's blood, okra and a couple of the chemicals.
[32:10] Speaker 1: It's been carbonated.
[32:13] Speaker 2: Just again losing why I laughed because I think you're
[32:16] Speaker 2: just kind of it's crazy.
[32:19] Speaker 1: I'm having a great time talking to you, but I
[32:21] Speaker 1: think we both know your control at this point.
[32:23] Speaker 2: No, not a troll. I'm just having hard time believing
[32:26] Speaker 2: this stuff now, So I'm gonna go.
[32:27] Speaker 1: I'm sure all right, have it going.
[32:30] Speaker 2: Off.
[32:32] Speaker 1: I think he's LARPing. I could be wrong. I could
[32:35] Speaker 1: be wrong. Uh, it sounds like it sounds like a
[32:38] Speaker 1: LARPing to me. Oh, I had a good time, all right.
[32:44] Speaker 1: Let me let me got some super chats here friends,
[32:46] Speaker 1: and we'll uh, we'll get our next guest in here.
[32:49] Speaker 1: I think we've got is it almost Amrose? I think
[32:53] Speaker 1: Amros is waiting to get in on the YouTube qu
[32:56] Speaker 1: If you're watching on TikTok, hit the guest request down here.
[32:59] Speaker 1: On on TikTok, you can get into the conversation. If
[33:02] Speaker 1: you're watching on YouTube, there's a link in the description
[33:05] Speaker 1: you can enter into the conversation. The links also on
[33:07] Speaker 1: the screen TinyURL dot com, forward slash guest DZ and
[33:12] Speaker 1: Small Johnson. My friend is in the house. I'm sorry,
[33:15] Speaker 1: Adam is in the house. I read the first line.
[33:16] Speaker 1: Adam's in the house. Thank you for the ten dollars,
[33:18] Speaker 1: super Jay, he says Small Johnson. That's his friend. And
[33:22] Speaker 1: I probably won't be rock hard for Doug anymore. Wait
[33:25] Speaker 1: a minute, because we're out here sweating our junk off
[33:28] Speaker 1: in this heat wave. Take care of your delivery, guys,
[33:32] Speaker 1: no easy, Oh my gosh, you're delivering with no ac.
[33:35] Speaker 1: I wouldn't be rock hard either, I'd be sweaty and flaccid.
[33:37] Speaker 1: That sounds horrible, But thank you for listening and big
[33:42] Speaker 1: w for supporting. And Matt says, let he who is
[33:47] Speaker 1: without sending cast the first Doug. Amen, and keep in mind,
[33:51] Speaker 1: Doug is good. That story didn't originate with Jesus, originated
[33:54] Speaker 1: with Doug. And so cool says, cracking out a six
[33:56] Speaker 1: pack of Dougs on a Wednesday night. I assume you're
[34:01] Speaker 1: having a piece of the Rockies with a corps. Is
[34:04] Speaker 1: that what's happening right now? Anyways, enjoy it, have one
[34:08] Speaker 1: for me and OC thank you for the ten hour
[34:10] Speaker 1: super tess. So I'm working on an argument against God's
[34:13] Speaker 1: not showing itself because it would violate free will. With
[34:16] Speaker 1: not knowing all information is more of a violation because
[34:20] Speaker 1: of informed thought. Okay, here's my thought. I think the
[34:26] Speaker 1: easiest way around this argument is simple. If you're a Christian,
[34:31] Speaker 1: just say, well, God did reveel himself to people in
[34:34] Speaker 1: the Bible and it didn't violate their free will. If
[34:38] Speaker 1: they do think it was a violation of their free will,
[34:40] Speaker 1: then they just have to admit that the people's free
[34:42] Speaker 1: will wasn't all that important. If God was willing to violate,
[34:46] Speaker 1: it doesn't seem like a problem. If they're not a Christian,
[34:48] Speaker 1: you can just point to the prophets like Mohammed. Well,
[34:51] Speaker 1: if Mohammed is evidence proof, you know he's doing miracles.
[34:56] Speaker 1: Just putting the mood into that's not too much different
[34:59] Speaker 1: than God just making himself evident through a different means,
[35:03] Speaker 1: which theoretically would be a violation or free will, which
[35:06] Speaker 1: means again, God doesn't really care that much about free will. Also,
[35:10] Speaker 1: whatever religion they're in, I would just make them point
[35:14] Speaker 1: to the text where it says that God can't violate
[35:16] Speaker 1: free will, because that's not in there. They're assuming that
[35:19] Speaker 1: that's an excuse that's not part of the text. And
[35:21] Speaker 1: then last I would just ask them how knowing something
[35:26] Speaker 1: prevents your free will?
[35:27] Speaker 2: Right?
[35:28] Speaker 1: So like, if I know that it's going to rain tomorrow,
[35:31] Speaker 1: that doesn't prevent me from going outside in the rain.
[35:35] Speaker 1: It just means I now have information that I can
[35:38] Speaker 1: use to make my decision. It doesn't take my ability
[35:41] Speaker 1: to choose away. And Burner says, you made a joke
[35:44] Speaker 1: about big ass King James family Bibles, and I cry
[35:47] Speaker 1: laughing every time I think about it. It's the only
[35:49] Speaker 1: kind of King James I have. Guys, if you're reading
[35:51] Speaker 1: a King James, you need where's my King James Bible?
[36:02] Speaker 1: If you're reading the King James, the only appropriate one
[36:05] Speaker 1: to read is this big, big old hood dunk of
[36:09] Speaker 1: dunk King James Family Bible that weighs like thirty five pounds.
[36:15] Speaker 1: That's how you know it's a real King James Bible.
[36:18] Speaker 5: Right, you have to like where your your.
[36:22] Speaker 1: Back support and your wrisk brace to read it? You
[36:24] Speaker 1: know what I mean? Chance, good to see it's I
[36:28] Speaker 1: think you for the time supertest. It says if more
[36:30] Speaker 1: Christians actually read their Bible cover to cover, there'd be
[36:33] Speaker 1: less Christians. I'm living proof. Actually, Chance thought I deconverted.
[36:38] Speaker 1: That was my advent to this. That's how I came
[36:40] Speaker 1: to the position that I'm in right now studying the Bible.
[36:43] Speaker 1: And minute men, thank you so so much for sending
[36:46] Speaker 1: out the one ninety ninety nine super chat. Big w
[36:50] Speaker 1: Let's get some w's in the chat for minute men,
[36:52] Speaker 1: thank you so much for supporting the stream. My friend,
[36:55] Speaker 1: he says, hey, can you start asking Christians which of
[36:58] Speaker 1: over thirty thousand denominations is the right one? Please? Actually,
[37:02] Speaker 1: I think I got there with that. Last guest says,
[37:05] Speaker 1: I would hate to pick the wrong one and find
[37:07] Speaker 1: out when I get to the pearly necklace gates. Oh God,
[37:11] Speaker 1: pearly necklace gates is wild work that I'm burning in
[37:15] Speaker 1: hell forever. Thanks praise Doug Insurance Stones fucked the patriarchy. Well,
[37:19] Speaker 1: I agree, fuck to patriarchy. And if there's pearl necklaces
[37:25] Speaker 1: at the gates of heaven, I got some questions because
[37:28] Speaker 1: if that's the case, then it's also true. I'm pretty
[37:32] Speaker 1: sure that there's gonna be pegging in heaven. I could
[37:33] Speaker 1: be wrong. This is just this my belief based on
[37:37] Speaker 1: what we're talking about at this point. Thank you for
[37:40] Speaker 1: supporting my friend. And he then says, unless I'm mistaken,
[37:43] Speaker 1: baptism is from the Mikvah practice and done a lot
[37:47] Speaker 1: in life. So this one and done, ain't it? So
[37:50] Speaker 1: this is actually a really good point. He then you're
[37:52] Speaker 1: a million percent right in the Jewish tradition that the
[37:55] Speaker 1: Mikvah was a ritual washing and you didn't do it once,
[37:58] Speaker 1: you did it multiple times. Right, So Christianity adopting the practice,
[38:04] Speaker 1: they couldn't admit that it was related to the purity
[38:08] Speaker 1: laws because they wanted to get rid of the laws, right,
[38:11] Speaker 1: So then in order to keep this tradition they had
[38:14] Speaker 1: to make it symbolic. It didn't actually wash your sins away.
[38:20] Speaker 1: It's symbolic, although I would say that the Catholics disagree.
[38:24] Speaker 1: The Catholics believe it actually is for the remission of sins,
[38:28] Speaker 1: which is crazy. How can you can justify that if
[38:32] Speaker 1: confessing your sins and repenting it gets them forgiven, why
[38:35] Speaker 1: you now need to be dunked in water to have
[38:37] Speaker 1: them remissed. There's some questions that we had there, but
[38:40] Speaker 1: for all the non Catholics, yeah, that they had to
[38:44] Speaker 1: find a way to like allegorize it or make it
[38:47] Speaker 1: mystical and not like actual wash away of your sins
[38:50] Speaker 1: and aras thank you for the supertest As. Hitler was
[38:52] Speaker 1: baptized at birth, so because he was sprinkled when he
[38:55] Speaker 1: was in heaven, then he's in heaven along with Dahmer
[38:58] Speaker 1: and Bundy Christiand's career. This is actually such a good
[39:01] Speaker 1: point because there's so many terrible people that converted to Christianity.
[39:06] Speaker 1: It's crazy to believe that someone like Dahmer's victim that
[39:10] Speaker 1: he like dunked into a whole vat of acid is
[39:14] Speaker 1: gonna end up in heaven and see Dahmer up there.
[39:16] Speaker 1: That's crazy to me that if you if that, it's
[39:21] Speaker 1: it's weird. This is why Christianity makes no sense. And Brian,
[39:25] Speaker 1: thank you for the superdest says, thanks for going full
[39:27] Speaker 1: time and feeding my addiction. Always rock hard for Doug.
[39:30] Speaker 1: His love makes me joyful. And Moys you were there
[39:33] Speaker 1: for that stream, but thank you for supporting and yeah,
[39:36] Speaker 1: we are cooking full time. Friends, It's gonna be a
[39:39] Speaker 1: hell of a ride. Thank you for being here. And
[39:41] Speaker 1: Carnage my friend, bringing the heat, bringing the tacos. Great
[39:45] Speaker 1: to see it tonight. Thank you so much for the
[39:46] Speaker 1: one ninety nine super thanks my friend, and Aaron's with
[39:49] Speaker 1: us as well. Aaron, my friend, thank you so so
[39:52] Speaker 1: much for sending out twenty d Z membership's huge. W
[39:57] Speaker 1: Doug's incredibly proud of his prophet. Thank you so much.
[40:00] Speaker 1: Phillo Dragon, I appreciate that, my friend. We's got a
[40:02] Speaker 1: couple more superchats, my friends. We'll get our next guest
[40:04] Speaker 1: in here. I don't want to get backed up on
[40:06] Speaker 1: super chats tonight, Doctor Joe. Good to see in my friends,
[40:09] Speaker 1: so that I haven't heard that level of cope paired
[40:11] Speaker 1: with lack of capacity in a long time. I if
[40:15] Speaker 1: he wasn't a troll, that's the only answer. The only
[40:17] Speaker 1: answer if it wasn't a troll, is that he's coping
[40:21] Speaker 1: and he is lacking capacity. Unfortunately, I think that's the case.
[40:25] Speaker 1: And Adam says, why can't Stevie wonder see his friends
[40:28] Speaker 1: he got married? I love that joke. I loved I
[40:35] Speaker 1: love it too. It's a real good play on words.
[40:40] Speaker 1: And while I certainly would not disparage the the the
[40:49] Speaker 1: blessing that marriage could be, the joke is really good.
[40:54] Speaker 1: I appreciate that. And Punctuata says, does the saying in
[40:57] Speaker 1: Luke twenty two about the disciples ruling with Jesus in
[41:00] Speaker 1: the Kingdom go back to Q? That's a good question
[41:04] Speaker 1: I have. So I haven't done a ton of studying
[41:06] Speaker 1: on Q before, so I don't know which sections go
[41:10] Speaker 1: to Q and which ones would go back to Mark
[41:13] Speaker 1: and things like that, so I'm not entirely sure. Yeah,
[41:16] Speaker 1: there's a good question, though. Should me a messaging in
[41:19] Speaker 1: the discord we can talk about this offline. And Nolan,
[41:21] Speaker 1: thank you for the supertest says fresh subscriber. Well, welcome in.
[41:24] Speaker 1: Watched a few of the video on demand clips. Easily

[41:33] Speaker 1: you well Nolan, thank you for becoming a member of

[41:42] Speaker 1: have you on board. Friend, and Dexter sent out five

[42:15] Speaker 1: for the super Thanks and Silver Surfer, thank you so
[42:18] Speaker 1: much for the five hour super thanks as well, and Peter,
[42:21] Speaker 1: my good friend, thank you for the supertest, says musician joke.
[42:25] Speaker 1: No gods, no managers, Happy cooking. Wait, no gods, no managers.
[42:30] Speaker 1: Did I miss the joke? Am I too dumb for
[42:32] Speaker 1: this joke? Hold on, give me one second musician joke,
[42:35] Speaker 1: No gods, no managers, Happy cooking, Peter. I am delighted
[42:42] Speaker 1: that you supported the channel, but I might be doing
[42:44] Speaker 1: too dumb for this joke. Somebody in the comments let
[42:47] Speaker 1: me know if what I'm missing on this one. I
[42:49] Speaker 1: appreciate you being here, though, and thank you so much
[42:51] Speaker 1: for the super chat and t TV. Thank you for

[43:41] Speaker 1: your dad. Since learning you've gone full time, all he
[43:44] Speaker 1: does is past the floor while mumbling it's all crashing
[43:48] Speaker 1: down and twitching. He'll say, yeah, I think that's about right.
[43:54] Speaker 1: I think that's about right. Well, Reverend Ricky Skagg's great
[43:58] Speaker 1: to see you tonight, my friend. I really appreciate you

[44:22] Speaker 5: And okay, okay, yeah, yeah, I was just stopping back
[44:25] Speaker 5: for a minute to say, hi, Sow, you are doing
[44:27] Speaker 5: the thing.
[44:27] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[44:29] Speaker 1: So for friends who don't know, the damn show is
[44:34] Speaker 1: a damn good show on on YouTube, all on your
[44:38] Speaker 1: screen went crazy? Did you do that?
[44:42] Speaker 7: No?
[44:42] Speaker 2: No, it's just on my end.
[44:44] Speaker 1: One second.
[44:46] Speaker 2: Let me try something here.
[44:49] Speaker 1: I think I think we're good.
[44:51] Speaker 5: There we go. That's more good. The tech grimlins follow
[44:54] Speaker 5: me around.
[44:55] Speaker 1: Man, it's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay. So
[44:57] Speaker 1: if you're not already following the damn Show on YouTube,
[45:01] Speaker 1: go ahead and do it. Chris runs Atheist Daily Morning

[45:12] Speaker 5: So if you guys are into it, come hang out.

[45:24] Speaker 5: that he might be on the morning show more often.
[45:25] Speaker 5: That would be wonderful.
[45:27] Speaker 1: This is the case.
[45:28] Speaker 8: We've got the case here.
[45:30] Speaker 1: Christ we've got Amrose joining us. You want to talk
[45:32] Speaker 1: to Amros with us?
[45:34] Speaker 2: Sure?
[45:34] Speaker 5: Briefly, I just wanted to say hi real quick. I
[45:37] Speaker 5: saw you were live stream. I miss I normally miss you,
[45:40] Speaker 5: and the evil one is on the way home and
[45:42] Speaker 5: I get it. Husband, I've got to cook dinner, you
[45:44] Speaker 5: know how it is.
[45:44] Speaker 1: I get it. Stay in line, stay in line. Yeah, well, Christy,
[45:50] Speaker 1: it was great to see it. And friends, go over

[45:55] Speaker 1: of ours and he does good work.
[45:57] Speaker 5: Thank you, thank you.
[45:58] Speaker 2: Hey, guess what I don't know?
[45:59] Speaker 5: Did you here? I'm going to be on Nanacon No, No,
[46:02] Speaker 5: I don't think I heard that. Yeah, I'm going to
[46:04] Speaker 5: be on a nano NA on a panel in nanocon
[46:07] Speaker 5: in Nashville with Seth andrews Oh next month.
[46:10] Speaker 1: I'm month so sad I won't be able to be there.
[46:12] Speaker 1: Send me the deeds. Maybe I could stream it there.
[46:15] Speaker 5: I will thank you very much. I see you guys
[46:17] Speaker 5: that I'll be watching the show and listening while.
[46:19] Speaker 1: Cook sounds great. Man, have a great night.
[46:21] Speaker 2: Thank you, sir Chris.
[46:26] Speaker 1: Big w for Chris. He runs a great show over there.
[46:28] Speaker 1: I would definitely recommend it. We've got is it, Amrose?
[46:31] Speaker 1: Did I say that right?
[46:33] Speaker 2: Yes?
[46:34] Speaker 1: Yes? How you doing, Amrose?
[46:37] Speaker 2: Good? It'll be pretty quick because I am a Doug ee.
[46:42] Speaker 2: But I do have.
[46:44] Speaker 9: A question about and also I am over eighteen. But
[46:49] Speaker 9: it is just a brief question. It's about a pretty
[46:51] Speaker 9: standard thing that you bring up. Second Samuel twelve and
[46:55] Speaker 9: sixteen of the Nathaniel prophecy.
[46:59] Speaker 1: Uh.
[47:00] Speaker 9: I don't know if you're familiar with the YouTuber Windigoon,
[47:03] Speaker 9: but he's basically just he's a really popular YouTuber does
[47:09] Speaker 9: like random stuff. But I watched him a lot, and
[47:13] Speaker 9: I noticed that he had originally very like many years ago,
[47:16] Speaker 9: made a couple of Bible verse videos, and he made
[47:19] Speaker 9: a video about Davidson with Bethsheba and a separate vid
[47:26] Speaker 9: about Absalom's revolution over the castle. And I thought it
[47:30] Speaker 9: was very strange because he interpreted the blessing, I mean,
[47:36] Speaker 9: the curse from Nathan the way I guess a lot
[47:39] Speaker 9: of apologists do. And he tried to claim that the
[47:43] Speaker 9: saying that for you did it secretly, but I will
[47:46] Speaker 9: do this thing for all Israel meant that the blessing
[47:51] Speaker 9: of love that God put on the wives was no
[47:54] Speaker 9: longer there, and therefore the women began to catch eyes
[47:58] Speaker 9: for other men. When I thought, at least it was
[48:02] Speaker 9: pretty obvious that Absalom's actions were the fulfillment of that prophecy,
[48:08] Speaker 9: because the Bible never said anything about those women doing anything.
[48:13] Speaker 1: And I think that he's clearly out of his mind,
[48:15] Speaker 1: because God tells you what he's going to do, issusly,
[48:20] Speaker 1: I will raise up trouble. So whatever trouble is being
[48:23] Speaker 1: risen up, God's doing it. I will raise it up.
[48:27] Speaker 1: Whatever you think that trouble is, God did it.
[48:31] Speaker 9: And with that, I think it's really notable that like
[48:36] Speaker 9: the rest of the chapter, because I ended up just
[48:38] Speaker 9: reading through twelve to sixteen ab of curiosity for it
[48:41] Speaker 9: to make sure. But the only time the women get
[48:44] Speaker 9: mentioned after that prophecy is with Absalom if I am
[48:50] Speaker 9: not mistaken. So yeah, it's a set story, and telling
[48:56] Speaker 9: one without the other kind of tries to shift I
[49:01] Speaker 9: guess the blame from what happened towards the women to
[49:05] Speaker 9: say that they're, you know, cheating and being mistathful. But
[49:10] Speaker 9: I don't know if that would even be possible.
[49:14] Speaker 1: We know, well, I mean you've got two problems, right
[49:17] Speaker 1: if you reframe it and you say, well, it wasn't grape,
[49:20] Speaker 1: it was consensual sex, it was adultery, still a problem.
[49:24] Speaker 1: God's causing adultery, God's causing them to do sin.
[49:27] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[49:28] Speaker 10: See, that's that's where it's interesting to me.
[49:30] Speaker 2: It's just I don't think I thought I was I
[49:33] Speaker 2: thought that was.
[49:33] Speaker 9: A really contradictory interpretation of it, and I was just
[49:36] Speaker 9: I wanted to clarify because it kind of made me
[49:38] Speaker 9: feel a little ill to see someone interpretate it that way,
[49:42] Speaker 9: because I feel like the only way you can gain
[49:44] Speaker 9: that interpretation is if both you don't want to blame
[49:49] Speaker 9: God for anything, but you also really, really, for some
[49:54] Speaker 9: reason want to blame women. Yeah, and I guess that
[49:58] Speaker 9: kind of made me a little concern, so I wanted
[50:00] Speaker 9: to bring that up. But that's that's all I had
[50:02] Speaker 9: a question for. So I'll let you get to the
[50:04] Speaker 9: next person.
[50:05] Speaker 1: Well, certainly a take that we don't hear too often,
[50:08] Speaker 1: but you'll see apologists doing all kinds of gymnastics to
[50:12] Speaker 1: get around the horrific stuff, so I'm not surprised.
[50:16] Speaker 9: Oh, actually, before I did, would you say that the
[50:21] Speaker 9: NOAB is a good go to for like a study resource?
[50:27] Speaker 1: It's probably the best. Yeah, the New Oxford Annotated Bible
[50:30] Speaker 1: is probably the best there is and in way of
[50:33] Speaker 1: academic study bibles.
[50:35] Speaker 2: Okay, great, great.
[50:36] Speaker 9: I've been ever since I recently got on the channel,
[50:40] Speaker 9: I've been watching all the odds and was wanting to
[50:43] Speaker 9: do my own studies. So even though I was kind
[50:46] Speaker 9: of raised half secular with like distant family being religious
[50:50] Speaker 9: and I'm not. It's something I'm very fixated on and
[50:53] Speaker 9: it's very interesting. So yeah, I was thinking that would
[50:56] Speaker 9: be good a resource to read into.
[50:58] Speaker 1: That's a great one.
[51:00] Speaker 2: All right, well, I appreciate it absolutely.
[51:02] Speaker 1: Take care man. All right, let me grab a couple
[51:08] Speaker 1: super chests. We'll get our next guest and you. We've
[51:09] Speaker 1: got a couple of guests waiting to get in. So
[51:13] Speaker 1: see where we left off here punctuated. Thank you for
[51:17] Speaker 1: the five dollar Supertest says it does the saying in
[51:19] Speaker 1: Luke twenty two. Oh sorry, I apologize that read that one.
[51:22] Speaker 1: We're on here from Tabe tan a bit to Nabe.
[51:27] Speaker 1: I think it's Tonay. Sorry if I pronounce it wrong.
[51:29] Speaker 1: Thank you for ten hour super Chest says you are
[51:31] Speaker 1: super dope. Hey, thanks, I appreciate that. I've learned more
[51:34] Speaker 1: from you since December than I've known in forty years.
[51:36] Speaker 1: Keep cooking the people, listen. I appreciate that. And we're
[51:39] Speaker 1: gonna cook. We are going to cook, my friend, and
[51:42] Speaker 1: I'm glad you're learning. I think that that makes the
[51:44] Speaker 1: stream even more fun when people get to learn. And Sona,
[51:47] Speaker 1: thank you so much for the sixth sixty six ars
[51:51] Speaker 1: I love a good ours. Thank you so much for
[51:53] Speaker 1: six hundred and sixty six of them. Big w says, Oh,
[51:56] Speaker 1: that's an Argentinian dollar. Okay, Argentina in the house. Thanks
[52:00] Speaker 1: for representing Argentina. How did the prophets hearing God dictate?
[52:03] Speaker 1: The Bible supposedly recorded the stories stenography, So this is
[52:08] Speaker 1: such a good question. Christians can never answer. If God
[52:11] Speaker 1: inspired the Bible, how did he do it? Did he
[52:14] Speaker 1: dictate it? Because whatever his method was, it must not
[52:17] Speaker 1: have been a good method, because the Biblical authors can't
[52:19] Speaker 1: agree with each other. Right, So if the Biblical authors
[52:22] Speaker 1: can even be in agreement with each other, then whatever
[52:24] Speaker 1: method God used wasn't a good one. Wasn't a good method.
[52:29] Speaker 1: But thank you for the question. Good super chat and Carrie,
[52:32] Speaker 1: thank you for the supertest says, if Jesus is God
[52:34] Speaker 1: but no one has seen God, that people really see
[52:36] Speaker 1: Jesus seem contradictory. There are so many of these logical
[52:40] Speaker 1: contradictions in the text regarding the trinity in Jesus, right,
[52:44] Speaker 1: because if Jesus is one hundred percent God and one
[52:47] Speaker 1: hundred percent man, but then Jesus doesn't know something, that's
[52:51] Speaker 1: a problem because to be one hundred percent of something
[52:54] Speaker 1: means you have one hundred percent of that thing's properties.
[52:57] Speaker 1: One of the properties of God is that he knows
[52:58] Speaker 1: all things. If God is one hundred if Jesus is
[53:01] Speaker 1: one hundred percent God, then he should know all things
[53:05] Speaker 1: because that means he has one hundred percent of God's properties.
[53:08] Speaker 1: But he doesn't know all things. He clearly says in
[53:10] Speaker 1: a number of occasions that only the Father knows, like
[53:13] Speaker 1: only the Father knows when when the second Coming is
[53:16] Speaker 1: so like, yeah, those logical contradictions arise because the Trinity
[53:20] Speaker 1: is incoherent. And Declan thank you for the Supertest, says
[53:23] Speaker 1: create total lack of knowledge of his own religion history
[53:25] Speaker 1: is so common among non Catholic believers, so sad well,
[53:29] Speaker 1: I gotta be honest. I think it's common among even
[53:31] Speaker 1: the Catholics and the Orthodox. They just they don't study,
[53:34] Speaker 1: they don't know much. They depend on others, you know
[53:36] Speaker 1: what I mean. And Susie, thank you for the Supertest,
[53:40] Speaker 1: says after they nailed Jesus and the hands to the cross,
[53:42] Speaker 1: he told them to nail his feet because the Sandals gipfall.
[53:47] Speaker 1: That's exactly what it was. I haven't heard that one
[53:53] Speaker 1: yet that's brand new. That's brand new. I appreciate that one.
[53:56] Speaker 1: Thank you so much. And our mts thank you for
[53:59] Speaker 1: the six sixty six is how did Jews deal with
[54:01] Speaker 1: the Old Testament laws? Do they still think they should
[54:03] Speaker 1: be followed for the most part? Yeah, so they understand
[54:06] Speaker 1: there are some laws that can't be followed because they
[54:08] Speaker 1: don't have the temple. But other than that that like
[54:13] Speaker 1: most of them, like the Hasidic Jews, are following those laws.
[54:16] Speaker 1: In fact, I know a lot of Jews. We've talked
[54:17] Speaker 1: to some here that say, when the Messiah comes and
[54:19] Speaker 1: the Temple is restored, they're going to follow all the laws,
[54:22] Speaker 1: even sacrificial laws. And there's even some sects that follow
[54:26] Speaker 1: John the Baptist that do the sacrifices. Even today they're
[54:30] Speaker 1: part of the North. They claim to be part of
[54:33] Speaker 1: the Northern ten Tribes. And Yoda, thank you for the
[54:36] Speaker 1: supertest says, do Christians openly worship a Jew while simultaneously
[54:39] Speaker 1: thinking that Judaism is wrong? Love the content, Praise Doug
[54:42] Speaker 1: the Almighty, Hail Doug. And you're right. You've nailed a
[54:45] Speaker 1: common problem within Christianity, specifically the type of Christianity we
[54:49] Speaker 1: see in the Republican Party, which is that Jews are evil,
[54:53] Speaker 1: they run the world. They're bad for killing Jesus. But
[54:57] Speaker 1: also Jesus is a Jew, and we're grafted in and
[55:00] Speaker 1: there are brothers. It's crazy they can't make up their
[55:04] Speaker 1: mind because Christianity is incoherent. And Derek says, out of
[55:08] Speaker 1: context equals reading what it says in context. Uh, isn't
[55:12] Speaker 1: it crazy how I can read the text and the
[55:15] Speaker 1: context and they're checking out of context. I just read
[55:17] Speaker 1: the context for you and Texas panhands on my friend.
[55:20] Speaker 1: Good to see it tonight, Thank you so much for
[55:22] Speaker 1: the nine ninety nine. He says, Paul gives real inceel vibes.
[55:25] Speaker 1: If only someone had gotten that dude laid, the world
[55:28] Speaker 1: might be a real different place today. Listen, I agree
[55:30] Speaker 1: a million percent, a million percent. Paul's out of his mind.
[55:34] Speaker 1: And I think one of the reasons he's out of
[55:35] Speaker 1: his mind is because he's just in cell. Listen, don't
[55:38] Speaker 1: take marriage advice from guys who've never been in a
[55:41] Speaker 1: marriage or laid. Don't do it. It's a horrible idea.
[55:43] Speaker 1: Paul should have never been giving marriage advice. And TG says,
[55:48] Speaker 1: little Jesus Papa, where did babies come from? Joseph, Mary,
[55:52] Speaker 1: where did babies come from? Praise Doug and congrats on
[55:55] Speaker 1: your new gig. You are awesome. Well tg thank you,
[55:57] Speaker 1: you're awesome, and thank you so much for the joke.
[56:02] Speaker 1: And this is this is an interesting conversation that would
[56:05] Speaker 1: have been had between Joseph and Jesus, because like if
[56:09] Speaker 1: if Joseph had said, well, when when a man and
[56:12] Speaker 1: a woman love each other? And then you know, and
[56:15] Speaker 1: and you know, they explain the birds and the bees,
[56:17] Speaker 1: and the obvious next question is gonna be, well, is
[56:19] Speaker 1: that how I was made? And then they're gonna be like, no,
[56:21] Speaker 1: it's not how you were made. Uh, And then it
[56:23] Speaker 1: creates a whole nother discussion on you know, Jesus is
[56:26] Speaker 1: going into his teenage existential crisis or youthful existential crisis.
[56:31] Speaker 1: Because it's messy. It's just really messy. Skeptics, good to
[56:36] Speaker 1: see it tonight, says. The intellectual compromises some make to
[56:39] Speaker 1: reserve a preser of religious belief will never cease to
[56:43] Speaker 1: makee So this this is the intellectual compromise, but also
[56:46] Speaker 1: moral compromises. Right, this idea that it must be true
[56:50] Speaker 1: at all costs, and you will bend yourself into a
[56:53] Speaker 1: million preszels to make sure that it's true, even if
[56:56] Speaker 1: you have to leave logic and morals out the you know,
[56:59] Speaker 1: out out the window, or throw it out the window.
[57:02] Speaker 1: Was crazy. N eight see, thank you for sending out
[57:05] Speaker 1: five DZ memberships. I super appreciate that, my friend big
[57:09] Speaker 1: w and Hammond says, Hi, Justin, isn't it kind of
[57:12] Speaker 1: weird that after the Gospels they didn't talk much about
[57:15] Speaker 1: the Apostles except Peter and John that the apostles apostate,
[57:18] Speaker 1: So this is a good observation. It's weird that the
[57:21] Speaker 1: majority of the New Testament doesn't really bring up the
[57:25] Speaker 1: Apostles a lot that much. They don't seem that super relevant.
[57:29] Speaker 1: It's like Paul's a one man show. Basically, it's that's
[57:33] Speaker 1: why Christianity is Paulanity. It's not Christianity. And Yoda says,
[57:37] Speaker 1: if everything happens according to God's will, isn't praying for
[57:40] Speaker 1: something to happen and attempt to go against the will
[57:42] Speaker 1: of God? If you wanted it to happen, it would
[57:44] Speaker 1: just happen without prayer, right A million percent? And Christians
[57:47] Speaker 1: will say dumb things well, like it was in God's
[57:50] Speaker 1: will that you prayed. Well, then then fine, whether you
[57:52] Speaker 1: pray and don't pray, it was part of God's will
[57:54] Speaker 1: to begin with, so it doesn't matter what you do, see,
[57:56] Speaker 1: it still comes out to the same problem. And if
[57:58] Speaker 1: God respects your free will so much that he can't
[58:02] Speaker 1: just appear to you and demonstrate that he's true because
[58:04] Speaker 1: he has to respect your free will, then that means
[58:07] Speaker 1: that prayer is useless because prayer is God literally intervening
[58:12] Speaker 1: in people's free will. And Rock carded for Dug says
[58:15] Speaker 1: regarding the first caller, Doug definitely causes dancing plags because
[58:19] Speaker 1: he rocks so hard. Pray Doug and sharing. That's right,
[58:22] Speaker 1: that's actually a good point. The real God behind the
[58:25] Speaker 1: dancing plague in France obviously was Doug. How could I
[58:28] Speaker 1: have not known this. I'm glad a prophet of Doug,
[58:33] Speaker 1: thank you so much. I'm glad a prophet of Doug
[58:35] Speaker 1: was here to clear this up. And Derek says, I
[58:37] Speaker 1: have a sixteen eleven KJB with the proker for that's
[58:39] Speaker 1: actually the real one. By the way, I had to
[58:42] Speaker 1: pay big money for mine on the interwebs, but mine's
[58:44] Speaker 1: not big. I need a big one. I need to
[58:47] Speaker 1: find a way to get a big one. And John
[58:50] Speaker 1: Baptist's baptisms are the new baptism. Hey, you'll get sprinkled
[58:54] Speaker 1: on this, for sure, you'll get a shekel shot. And Joseph,
[58:59] Speaker 1: thank you for the ninety nine super thanks big w.
[59:02] Speaker 1: I appreciate that. And Bean Dog says, we're all the
[59:04] Speaker 1: frank Turk puppets. Come on up, I really need some barbecue.
[59:08] Speaker 1: Theis come on, Ambassadors for Homeless Jewish Garpenters. Listen, they're
[59:13] Speaker 1: out there. They're biting their time. They're just waiting. They're
[59:16] Speaker 1: they're waiting. They're listening to the arguments, trying to find
[59:18] Speaker 1: an opening. And we'll see, we'll see what we can
[59:21] Speaker 1: get here. All right, we'll get our next guest in here.
[59:29] Speaker 1: Hi doing jolly.
[59:33] Speaker 11: Oh sorry, it's justin Actually this is I don't I
[59:36] Speaker 11: don't want to give the Chinese any of my infos,
[59:38] Speaker 11: so I don't put my real information on this. Enough
[59:44] Speaker 11: I am, but it's audio only. I've got a little
[59:47] Speaker 11: road trip.
[59:47] Speaker 1: You gotta you gotta pull over. You can't drive in
[59:49] Speaker 1: live my friend.
[59:52] Speaker 11: Okay, all right, well, unfortunately I cannot, so I will
[59:57] Speaker 11: just look out for me in the queue.
[59:58] Speaker 10: Hopefully I can catch you again.
[59:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'll be your all night when you when
[1:00:01] Speaker 1: you get done driving, come back.
[1:00:03] Speaker 8: Sounds good?
[1:00:04] Speaker 1: Cheers, my cheers. We're actually talking to a guy I
[1:00:09] Speaker 1: don't know, two or three months ago that was was
[1:00:12] Speaker 1: driving alive and and we heard him hit a curb.
[1:00:16] Speaker 5: Like that.
[1:00:16] Speaker 1: That's why you don't drive in live. Don't drive in live, friends,
[1:00:22] Speaker 1: it's dangerous. How you doing? Is it fl m O
[1:00:27] Speaker 1: or is it femo? That's female? All right?
[1:00:31] Speaker 2: How you doing?
[1:00:31] Speaker 1: Female?
[1:00:33] Speaker 5: Pretty good?
[1:00:34] Speaker 1: Doing good things for asking female? Are you at least eighteen?
[1:00:37] Speaker 1: And are you a believer in? Yes?
[1:00:41] Speaker 8: And yes?
[1:00:42] Speaker 1: Cool? And what God do you believe in?
[1:00:46] Speaker 10: Christian God?
[1:00:47] Speaker 1: Cool? What be the best evidence or argument for the
[1:00:49] Speaker 1: Christian God being realm oh?
[1:00:53] Speaker 5: Before I answered that, I just wanted.
[1:00:59] Speaker 1: He had a curb too. I listen, Jesus did not
[1:01:05] Speaker 1: take that wheel. That man is in a ditch somewhere.
[1:01:10] Speaker 1: I'm willing to bet money on it. There's no way
[1:01:13] Speaker 1: he's not in a ditch right now. Well, that's what happens.
[1:01:20] Speaker 1: That's what happens. Don't drive in live. I couldn't tell
[1:01:22] Speaker 1: if he was in a car or not he might
[1:01:24] Speaker 1: have been. Beep Boop, thank you for the nine nine
[1:01:26] Speaker 1: nine says what's up, d Z. Hope you're well. I
[1:01:28] Speaker 1: hope you're well. Beat Boop, I hope you're well, says
[1:01:31] Speaker 1: I know that last caller was a troll. I think
[1:01:32] Speaker 1: he might have been, but I'm genuinely curious how to
[1:01:35] Speaker 1: argue against Catholic miracle claims, especially Stigmata. Much love and
[1:01:39] Speaker 1: rock hard for Doug. I think the best thing you
[1:01:41] Speaker 1: need to do for the Catholic miracle claims the same
[1:01:44] Speaker 1: thing I did when I was a young man in
[1:01:46] Speaker 1: Catholic school, ask for independent scientific evidence that these things
[1:01:50] Speaker 1: actually happened. It turns out all of the research research
[1:01:54] Speaker 1: that's ever done on these dumb things are just like
[1:01:58] Speaker 1: people inside the church. People inside, I'm sure telling yeah,
[1:02:00] Speaker 1: it's real, but they've never brought it to like an outsider,
[1:02:03] Speaker 1: like a non Catholic or an atheist to verify it.
[1:02:06] Speaker 1: This is always inside. It's like when the police investigate themselves.
[1:02:09] Speaker 1: That's all it is. A Christian atheist. That's an interesting name.
[1:02:13] Speaker 1: Thank you for the supertest though it says it's a
[1:02:14] Speaker 1: hard rock life for us. Rocking for Doug.
[1:02:19] Speaker 3: It is.
[1:02:19] Speaker 1: It is a hard rock life. I wish there was
[1:02:24] Speaker 1: a hard rock cafe. Closer, Sean, thank you for the
[1:02:27] Speaker 1: nine nine nine supertest, says, Hey, buddy, haven't come alive
[1:02:29] Speaker 1: in a bit, working hard, getting ready for the baby. Congratulations,
[1:02:32] Speaker 1: holy shit on the baby, says on bad days, I
[1:02:35] Speaker 1: listen to your words. I'm sorry on bad days. I
[1:02:38] Speaker 1: listened to your words to me when I announced the
[1:02:41] Speaker 1: baby on live stream. Always cheers me up. Get the
[1:02:44] Speaker 1: cooking chef well, Sean, I appreciate that, and listen. I
[1:02:49] Speaker 1: hope we can cheer you up. I hope we can
[1:02:50] Speaker 1: bring you joy. And I can't wait for that baby.
[1:02:53] Speaker 1: That baby is a lot of work, but babies are amazing.
[1:02:58] Speaker 1: And my son, I can tell you my son being
[1:03:01] Speaker 1: a baby, and even now he's not really a baby anymore,
[1:03:03] Speaker 1: brought me great joy. So I can't wait for you
[1:03:06] Speaker 1: to have that baby. Sounds exciting, welcome in good argument.
[1:03:15] Speaker 1: How's it going?
[1:03:16] Speaker 3: Good?
[1:03:16] Speaker 1: How you doing? It's going?
[1:03:20] Speaker 2: Sure?
[1:03:20] Speaker 1: Just at work?
[1:03:21] Speaker 2: I got it. I got a couple of minutes.
[1:03:23] Speaker 1: Fair enough. Are you at least eighteen? And are you
[1:03:26] Speaker 1: a believer?
[1:03:28] Speaker 7: Yeah?
[1:03:28] Speaker 12: I'm eighteen, but I can't so after discovering your channel.
[1:03:31] Speaker 12: I'm not so confidence in the second question, that does happen.
[1:03:35] Speaker 1: I've had quite a people, a few people leave Christianity
[1:03:39] Speaker 1: after talking to me. I mean, I personally, I think
[1:03:43] Speaker 1: I'm bringing up good reasons. So let me ask you
[1:03:47] Speaker 1: one or two questions to kind of feel where you're at.
[1:03:52] Speaker 1: Were you raised in the faith? No, okay, how long
[1:03:57] Speaker 1: have you been in the faith?
[1:03:59] Speaker 8: So why I was?
[1:04:00] Speaker 12: I went twenty three years without it, and then I
[1:04:03] Speaker 12: got into it about February of this year, and it
[1:04:06] Speaker 12: was really weird because it's like, here, your deconstruction story
[1:04:10] Speaker 12: took twenty years in mine was like wow, I believed
[1:04:13] Speaker 12: for like maybe two months, and then it was like
[1:04:16] Speaker 12: and then so it started to like I just realized
[1:04:19] Speaker 12: that I started to read the Bible and I was
[1:04:21] Speaker 12: going to church, and I was like, Okay, these people
[1:04:22] Speaker 12: are not this does not make sense, right.
[1:04:27] Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot of stuff in the between the
[1:04:30] Speaker 1: books that are a little bit acenine, and I think
[1:04:35] Speaker 1: you've probably seen some of them. What have you seen
[1:04:38] Speaker 1: so far that's given you pause?
[1:04:42] Speaker 12: So actually, before I ever really went to a church,
[1:04:46] Speaker 12: I went to this Bible study and I walked in
[1:04:49] Speaker 12: and I walked right up to the pastor guy, and
[1:04:51] Speaker 12: I was like, dude, this Old Testament and you guys
[1:04:54] Speaker 12: saying God's all love me, and I was like, this
[1:04:56] Speaker 12: is I was like, this was really before I committed
[1:04:58] Speaker 12: to the faith.
[1:04:59] Speaker 2: This was like I was on the teeter totter.
[1:05:01] Speaker 12: And so his answer worked because I didn't know the
[1:05:07] Speaker 12: things that you would you bring up on this live
[1:05:09] Speaker 12: that happened to the Old Testament. So his answer that
[1:05:12] Speaker 12: was basically, he's all righteous, all X y Z, so
[1:05:16] Speaker 12: he can't so it's something He's not all loving, he's
[1:05:18] Speaker 12: all everything. And I guess that answer worked for me
[1:05:21] Speaker 12: for a minute. But I started to read the book.
[1:05:26] Speaker 1: Right, and the book's tough, and in the book, a
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: lot of people get punished for other people's crimes, and
[1:05:32] Speaker 1: it's clear that God thinks that guilty, like being guilty
[1:05:36] Speaker 1: of something, is something that can spread, Like if I
[1:05:40] Speaker 1: commit a sin and I'm a priest or a leader,
[1:05:45] Speaker 1: my guilt spread to the people and now they're guilty
[1:05:48] Speaker 1: of what I did. And we see this happening over
[1:05:51] Speaker 1: and over again in the Old Testament. It's just part
[1:05:54] Speaker 1: of this antiquated shame culture that they developed and then
[1:05:58] Speaker 1: they placed it on top of God. The idea that
[1:06:00] Speaker 1: your pastor could commit adultery and then your whole congregation
[1:06:05] Speaker 1: has to repent because of it is kind of asinine.
[1:06:08] Speaker 12: Yeah, I learned that yesterday, I think.
[1:06:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, Or like, if the leader of a country commits
[1:06:14] Speaker 1: a grave sin, God can go in and kill a
[1:06:17] Speaker 1: bunch of people in your country. They didn't do the thing,
[1:06:19] Speaker 1: they didn't commit the sin, but that's exactly what happens
[1:06:22] Speaker 1: in Second Samuel twenty four. Have you read that one? So?
[1:06:29] Speaker 12: I actually I can't say that I read the entire
[1:06:32] Speaker 12: thing cover to cover. And that was going to be
[1:06:33] Speaker 12: my next question. Was a lot of these Christians that
[1:06:36] Speaker 12: come on here and they'll be like, well, well, you'll
[1:06:38] Speaker 12: try to call them out that we haven't read the
[1:06:39] Speaker 12: whole book obviously, and they're like, no, I've read the book.
[1:06:43] Speaker 12: And it's like it's would there be anything in there
[1:06:46] Speaker 12: that is like hidden in between the covers that just
[1:06:49] Speaker 12: would give them reason to continue to believe and say
[1:06:52] Speaker 12: the things that they say despite their claim that they've
[1:06:55] Speaker 12: read the book, because they're always pointing the finger at
[1:06:58] Speaker 12: you that you're leaving something out or that you haven't
[1:07:01] Speaker 12: read the whole book, and it's like, you know, it's equal.
[1:07:04] Speaker 2: I guess it's the equal accusation.
[1:07:07] Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean when people accuse me of not having
[1:07:10] Speaker 1: read the book, I just read the book to them, right,
[1:07:13] Speaker 1: And the reality is they don't see it coming because
[1:07:17] Speaker 1: they haven't read the book and I have, which is why,
[1:07:21] Speaker 1: like the audience generally figures out pretty quickly what's happening.
[1:07:27] Speaker 12: Your stream is something that if you're a believer that
[1:07:30] Speaker 12: like I would scroll past your stream, scroll past it,
[1:07:33] Speaker 12: and I didn't want to hear, Like I didn't because
[1:07:35] Speaker 12: I didn't know what was in the book and I
[1:07:37] Speaker 12: didn't want to hear.
[1:07:38] Speaker 2: Then I just yeah, you.
[1:07:42] Speaker 12: My friend actually came up to me one day and
[1:07:43] Speaker 12: mentioned your stream and he was like, well, I was
[1:07:46] Speaker 12: going to go in there after I listened to a
[1:07:48] Speaker 12: few of your streams. I was like, man, that would
[1:07:50] Speaker 12: have not went well for him.
[1:07:51] Speaker 1: Prober not. I think the most damning piece of evidence
[1:07:56] Speaker 1: against Christianity is all the lies that are told in
[1:07:59] Speaker 1: a New test about Jesus fulfilling prophecies that he never fulfilled.
[1:08:03] Speaker 1: So yeah, that's been something for me. I think it's huge, Like,
[1:08:08] Speaker 1: get you can read these prophecies and like, Okay, these
[1:08:10] Speaker 1: are all bullshit, and you can still walk away believing
[1:08:13] Speaker 1: in some kind of a God like, Okay, well, Jesus
[1:08:15] Speaker 1: wasn't the Messiah, but God' stillg is right, That's something
[1:08:18] Speaker 1: that you can do. But you can't read these prophecies
[1:08:21] Speaker 1: and be honest and walk away still believing that he's
[1:08:24] Speaker 1: a messiah.
[1:08:28] Speaker 2: I don't well, is ZERI okay?
[1:08:30] Speaker 12: Aside from Jesus fulfilling prophecies, is there anything in the
[1:08:34] Speaker 12: Bible that was prophesied that had in history come true.
[1:08:38] Speaker 1: So that's a difficult one because the prophecies that appeared
[1:08:41] Speaker 1: to have come true are both mundane and the texts
[1:08:44] Speaker 1: that we have are written after the fact, right, So
[1:08:46] Speaker 1: we talk about like the siege of Babylon or the
[1:08:49] Speaker 1: Assyrian army coming in and wiping out the northern tribes.
[1:08:53] Speaker 1: The fact of the matter is, it's possible that those
[1:08:56] Speaker 1: were legitimate prophecies, but the texts that we have of
[1:09:00] Speaker 1: are in a form of Hebrew that didn't exist until
[1:09:03] Speaker 1: after those events already took place. We don't have any
[1:09:06] Speaker 1: texts detailing these prophecies from before they took place, right,
[1:09:11] Speaker 1: So it's hard to confirm if an actual prophecy was fulfilled.
[1:09:15] Speaker 1: The other problem, which I alluded to initially, is that,
[1:09:19] Speaker 1: like geopolitical guesses aren't hard, we get them right all
[1:09:23] Speaker 1: the time. Right we make I can say, well, Russia's
[1:09:25] Speaker 1: going to lose the war in three years, and if
[1:09:28] Speaker 1: that happens, lucky me. It happened right. But the nature
[1:09:31] Speaker 1: of these Old Testament prophets is they were constantly making
[1:09:34] Speaker 1: geopolitical guesses. Some of them are right, some of them
[1:09:37] Speaker 1: are wrong. Like Ezekiel gets one wrong when he talks
[1:09:39] Speaker 1: about the destruction of tire and then later has to
[1:09:41] Speaker 1: go back and be like, well it wasn't kill God
[1:09:44] Speaker 1: changed his mind, and this and that. Right, he had
[1:09:45] Speaker 1: to make up reasons why tire wasn't destroyed. And if
[1:09:50] Speaker 1: you read the Babylonian prophetic literature, we see their prophets
[1:09:53] Speaker 1: doing the same thing. They're saying, you know, this geopolitical
[1:09:57] Speaker 1: thing is going to happen, and this person's going to
[1:09:59] Speaker 1: rise to power. Sometimes it comes true and sometimes it doesn't.
[1:10:02] Speaker 1: When you're making geopolitical guesses, eventually something is going to
[1:10:05] Speaker 1: come true.
[1:10:09] Speaker 12: So when Jesus says the thing about his body and
[1:10:12] Speaker 12: when he's in the temple, do you think he is
[1:10:15] Speaker 12: referring to his actual body, and he literally believes that
[1:10:18] Speaker 12: he's about to be crucified and then he's going to
[1:10:20] Speaker 12: resurrect in three days or is he referring to the
[1:10:23] Speaker 12: part is he talking about the actual temple. I know
[1:10:27] Speaker 12: that happened way after, but I want to know what
[1:10:30] Speaker 12: you think that he was in the moment.
[1:10:31] Speaker 1: Actually saying, well, he said both. Right, there's a section
[1:10:35] Speaker 1: where he talks about his temple being destroyed and then resurrecting,
[1:10:39] Speaker 1: And then you got the olive it discourse like Matthew
[1:10:41] Speaker 1: twenty four, where he does say that the temple is
[1:10:44] Speaker 1: going to be torn down, not one stone left upon another.
[1:10:47] Speaker 1: But that being said again, the temple being torn down
[1:10:52] Speaker 1: is not a novel prediction. You'll find the same thing
[1:10:54] Speaker 1: written in the Talmud. In Sanhedrid ninety eight, I believe
[1:10:59] Speaker 1: out the double check the number. There's a discourse on
[1:11:02] Speaker 1: the Book of Daniel, and the rabbis are saying that
[1:11:06] Speaker 1: Daniel won't come true until the temple's torn down. So
[1:11:11] Speaker 1: obviously they're writing that section at a time where the
[1:11:14] Speaker 1: temple was still standing, and so there was obviously in
[1:11:18] Speaker 1: Judaism this belief already that the temple needed to be
[1:11:21] Speaker 1: torn down and destroyed for, you know, prophecy to play out.
[1:11:26] Speaker 1: So when when Jesus reiterates this thing, I'm like, yeah,
[1:11:29] Speaker 1: he said it because everyone else is already.
[1:11:31] Speaker 12: Saying it, right, m Okay, that is probably the most
[1:11:35] Speaker 12: convincing answer I've heard. Yeah, on the on the side,
[1:11:39] Speaker 12: that wouldn't be like apologetic. But I mean, in second, you.
[1:11:43] Speaker 1: Can say that. You can say that well because the
[1:11:45] Speaker 1: text was written later, Like the text that is quoting
[1:11:49] Speaker 1: Jesus was written after he already died and after people
[1:11:53] Speaker 1: believed he resurrected, and maybe it was written after the
[1:11:55] Speaker 1: temple was already destroyed. You can make that argument, but
[1:11:59] Speaker 1: I'm not sure it's even necessary because I just don't
[1:12:01] Speaker 1: think it's a novel prediction that is true too.
[1:12:09] Speaker 12: But is that why the I can't remember which gospel
[1:12:13] Speaker 12: it's in, But he writes what he thinks that you
[1:12:17] Speaker 12: should think Jesus was saying, instead of quoting something.
[1:12:20] Speaker 2: That Jesus would have said to clarify that he was
[1:12:22] Speaker 2: actually talking about himself.
[1:12:24] Speaker 1: Can you can you help me out with the question.
[1:12:25] Speaker 1: I'm not sure I understand it.
[1:12:28] Speaker 12: Is it is that so the in the gospel of
[1:12:32] Speaker 12: which I forget which one it is. But I think
[1:12:34] Speaker 12: after Jesus says that, the narrator, I guess says and
[1:12:39] Speaker 12: then he was the temple he was referring to as
[1:12:42] Speaker 12: his body. But the way that you described it to
[1:12:45] Speaker 12: me would it wouldn't lead me to believe that that's
[1:12:47] Speaker 12: why that that's written in there.
[1:12:49] Speaker 1: Because it's not clear that it's Jesus. Well, I mean,
[1:12:52] Speaker 1: there are two different passages, right, so I think you
[1:12:55] Speaker 1: and I didn't know that. Yeah, yeah, So there are
[1:12:57] Speaker 1: multiple passages where Jesus talks about the temple being destroyed.
[1:13:01] Speaker 1: The one I'm referring to is in Matthew twenty four,
[1:13:04] Speaker 1: and I'll read the passage for you real quick. It
[1:13:07] Speaker 1: says Jesus came out of the temple and was going away.
[1:13:10] Speaker 1: His disciples came to point out to him the buildings
[1:13:13] Speaker 1: of the temple, and then he asked them, do you
[1:13:17] Speaker 1: see I'm sorry, you see all these? Don't you? Truly?
[1:13:19] Speaker 1: I tell you, not one stone will be left there
[1:13:22] Speaker 1: upon another. All will be thrown down, right, Okay, So
[1:13:25] Speaker 1: this is the prediction I assumed you were referring to.
[1:13:28] Speaker 1: When Jesus legitimately did.
[1:13:29] Speaker 2: Predict that.
[1:13:32] Speaker 12: If I would have known that even existed. And it's
[1:13:35] Speaker 12: funny because I've been through all the Gospels and I've
[1:13:36] Speaker 12: even listened to him. It's just I guess it's accessibility
[1:13:39] Speaker 12: versus availability. I just forgot that that part existed. But yeah,
[1:13:42] Speaker 12: if I would have remembered that, I guess I would
[1:13:44] Speaker 12: have had my question. I've been thinking about that for
[1:13:46] Speaker 12: a few days and I didn't know what that as
[1:13:48] Speaker 12: you said that man, Yeah.
[1:13:50] Speaker 1: So he I think he did make a metaphor about himself,
[1:13:56] Speaker 1: him being a temple destroyed and resurrected, but he also
[1:14:00] Speaker 1: made a prediction about the temple itself being destroyed.
[1:14:05] Speaker 12: So do you think what was your best, I guess
[1:14:09] Speaker 12: response to be to somebody saying that in Second Peter
[1:14:12] Speaker 12: one one and like John or when doubting Thomas says
[1:14:17] Speaker 12: my Lord and my God, and then it's a very
[1:14:19] Speaker 12: similar phrase and Second Peter one to one.
[1:14:24] Speaker 1: Well, first of all, I don't think that Second Peter
[1:14:27] Speaker 1: was written by Peter, and most scholars don't. I think
[1:14:30] Speaker 1: Second Peter was one of the last books to be written.
[1:14:32] Speaker 1: And it's clear that they're writing already after the works
[1:14:35] Speaker 1: of Paul have been well known because in Second Peter
[1:14:38] Speaker 1: chapter three, the author talks about the words of Paul
[1:14:42] Speaker 1: and is instructing the audience to listen to them. In fact,
[1:14:47] Speaker 1: I'll grab the text for you real quick. So who's
[1:14:51] Speaker 1: ever writing Second Peter? The writing way after, you know,
[1:14:56] Speaker 1: the disciples were doing their things away after anything was happening.
[1:15:02] Speaker 1: Disciple is probably all dead when this was written. But
[1:15:05] Speaker 1: here we go, he says. Therefore, beloved, while you were
[1:15:08] Speaker 1: waiting for these things at the end of the world,
[1:15:11] Speaker 1: strive to be found by Him at peace, without spot
[1:15:16] Speaker 1: or blemish, and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation.
[1:15:21] Speaker 1: So also, our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according
[1:15:25] Speaker 1: to the wisdom given to him, speaking of this as
[1:15:28] Speaker 1: he does in all of his letters. There are some
[1:15:31] Speaker 1: things in them that are hard to understand, which the
[1:15:33] Speaker 1: ignorant and unstable twists to their own destruction, as they
[1:15:37] Speaker 1: do the other scriptures. So in Second Peter three he's
[1:15:40] Speaker 1: regarding the works of Paul as scripture already. And it's
[1:15:44] Speaker 1: weird that the writings of Paul would be regarded as
[1:15:48] Speaker 1: sacred scripture this early on, you know what I mean.
[1:15:57] Speaker 12: I also noticed the very bottom that passage. It just
[1:16:00] Speaker 12: just said of our Lord and Savory Jesus Christmas, I
[1:16:02] Speaker 12: missed something.
[1:16:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, if you keep reading, it says you therefore beloved,
[1:16:08] Speaker 1: since you were a forewarned to beware that you're not
[1:16:10] Speaker 1: carried away with the error of lawless and lose your
[1:16:14] Speaker 1: own stability, but grow in the grace of knowledge of
[1:16:17] Speaker 1: our Lord and savor Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory,
[1:16:20] Speaker 1: both now and to the day of eternity.
[1:16:23] Speaker 12: And well, in regards to the guy that was talking
[1:16:28] Speaker 12: to you about faith earlier, the thing that I did
[1:16:31] Speaker 12: notice first was that a lot of these people in
[1:16:33] Speaker 12: church would preach that like faith alone. But I had
[1:16:36] Speaker 12: read the Gospels. And then I remember my first time
[1:16:38] Speaker 12: reading a letter from Paul, and I was like, okay, what.
[1:16:42] Speaker 1: But like I still I don't know I had it.
[1:16:46] Speaker 12: I guess you ignore it for a while until you
[1:16:49] Speaker 12: there's this thing like, well, this person that I think
[1:16:51] Speaker 12: is more intelligent than they believes it, So like you
[1:16:54] Speaker 12: say this, so he's probably so west Huff probably has
[1:16:56] Speaker 12: an answer for it. So it's probably fine. But then
[1:16:59] Speaker 12: you just like keep digging.
[1:17:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the fact of how it worked. Now. Yeah,
[1:17:06] Speaker 1: I used to refer to them as shelf items, the
[1:17:08] Speaker 1: items you put on the shelf. I'll get to these later.
[1:17:11] Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a good answer for them. I just don't.
[1:17:13] Speaker 1: I don't have it now, but I'm sure there is
[1:17:14] Speaker 1: a good one. But there's no good answers.
[1:17:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, I was.
[1:17:21] Speaker 12: I I've been talking to some other like people, I
[1:17:23] Speaker 12: guess so I would call themselves apologists about the passages.
[1:17:25] Speaker 12: And they always have to clear like they always have
[1:17:28] Speaker 12: to answer like the clear answers to why they would
[1:17:31] Speaker 12: and they always have different ones, but like they'll talk
[1:17:33] Speaker 12: about the Greek, the Greek.
[1:17:35] Speaker 2: Parts of these passages and this is why Jesus is
[1:17:39] Speaker 2: it's God.
[1:17:39] Speaker 7: But I just.
[1:17:41] Speaker 12: I, even a few months ago, was so angry with
[1:17:44] Speaker 12: the Jehovah translation and all sorts of things. But now
[1:17:47] Speaker 12: it's like, well, let me know, now you don't now
[1:17:50] Speaker 12: I know, I don't know anything.
[1:17:52] Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. Why would anyone worry
[1:17:56] Speaker 1: about if Jesus claimed to be God if he wasn't
[1:17:59] Speaker 1: even the message, like I could pretty much give a
[1:18:01] Speaker 1: damn if he thought he was God, Like it's it's
[1:18:06] Speaker 1: it's because even if he's not God, let's pretend that
[1:18:08] Speaker 1: he's not God. So he could still be the Messiah, Like,
[1:18:12] Speaker 1: there's nothing in the Old Testament that says the Messiah
[1:18:14] Speaker 1: is going to be God.
[1:18:17] Speaker 12: Interesting, So is that is it a contradictory claim for
[1:18:20] Speaker 12: Christians to say he's both.
[1:18:23] Speaker 1: I don't know if it's a contradictory claim. I just
[1:18:26] Speaker 1: don't think it matters. I think it's a it's a
[1:18:29] Speaker 1: dumb argument, right, Like, I don't know why Christians are
[1:18:33] Speaker 1: having this debate. I know it's a popular debate currently.
[1:18:36] Speaker 1: In fact, there was just a debate between David Wood
[1:18:38] Speaker 1: and was it cosmic skeptic? Oh, Alex O'Connor. Yeah, I
[1:18:46] Speaker 1: think Alex O'Connor and David Wood just had a debate
[1:18:48] Speaker 1: on whether or not Jesus claimed to be God. But
[1:18:51] Speaker 1: I don't think it matters. I think it's a useless debate.
[1:18:55] Speaker 1: That is interesting to say.
[1:18:56] Speaker 12: I guess if you're hoping, I guess if you were,
[1:18:59] Speaker 12: like before your ship broke, it would be useful to
[1:19:01] Speaker 12: you or something.
[1:19:01] Speaker 3: But yeah, it.
[1:19:05] Speaker 12: Appears to be that it is because and so you're
[1:19:09] Speaker 12: told you're doctrine to believe without evidence that these prophecies
[1:19:14] Speaker 12: were fulfilled, And like, when you come to think about it,
[1:19:18] Speaker 12: I don't know the criteria of the side, and I
[1:19:20] Speaker 12: don't know what they are referring to when they are
[1:19:24] Speaker 12: making these claims, and I don't now I know that
[1:19:27] Speaker 12: they probably don't know, right.
[1:19:29] Speaker 1: I'm going to give you a couple of chapters to
[1:19:31] Speaker 1: read for homework. Yes, so drop these down. Read Jeremiah
[1:19:37] Speaker 1: thirty three, yep, and then read Isaiah chapter two and
[1:19:43] Speaker 1: chapter eleven, okay, And then you could lump in Jeremiah
[1:19:52] Speaker 1: twenty three as well, that's not so bad, and then
[1:19:56] Speaker 1: two more chapters I would read Ezekiel thirty six. In
[1:19:59] Speaker 1: Ezekiel thirty seven.
[1:20:03] Speaker 12: You know what, This pin didn't work and I was
[1:20:04] Speaker 12: trying to write it on a napking because I'm at work.
[1:20:06] Speaker 12: So I'm gonna come back and get peace from the
[1:20:09] Speaker 12: stream because I feel like I've taken up a lot
[1:20:12] Speaker 12: of the time already.
[1:20:13] Speaker 1: No fair enough. It is a delight talking to you.
[1:20:17] Speaker 8: I hope you have a I'm going to get to
[1:20:19] Speaker 8: cheat you tonight.
[1:20:19] Speaker 2: I guess I owe it to you.
[1:20:21] Speaker 1: Hey, thanks, I appreciate that, and I hope it serves
[1:20:23] Speaker 1: you well.
[1:20:25] Speaker 12: Well, I'm gonna if I have any question, I add
[1:20:30] Speaker 12: as you on discord and my images. I'm a cage
[1:20:33] Speaker 12: fighter and it's me geting. It's just me and the octagon.
[1:20:36] Speaker 12: So that's how you would the connect the dots. Fair enough,
[1:20:40] Speaker 12: But I have questions. All right, sounds on to the
[1:20:42] Speaker 12: next one. I guess all right, cheers friend, next meal
[1:20:44] Speaker 12: to be cooked.
[1:20:45] Speaker 1: Take it easy, We're gonna cook him. Well done. Well,
[1:20:48] Speaker 1: he is a nice young man. He's doing what a
[1:20:50] Speaker 1: lot of people do when they joined the faith. They're
[1:20:52] Speaker 1: asking themselves, hey, do I have good reason to believe this?
[1:20:56] Speaker 1: When I was new to the faith, I did the
[1:20:58] Speaker 1: same thing. I was like, hey, I'm like dedicating my
[1:21:01] Speaker 1: life to this thing. Is that smart? What do I
[1:21:05] Speaker 1: do when people come and ask me questions? How do
[1:21:08] Speaker 1: I defend myself? And so I read apologetic books, and
[1:21:10] Speaker 1: I read academic books, and you know, I read all
[1:21:13] Speaker 1: the books around, all the arguments I could find, and
[1:21:16] Speaker 1: you know, shit, I even went to school. And then
[1:21:18] Speaker 1: it just turned out that it wasn't really true. But
[1:21:21] Speaker 1: ksey k or k Casey, thank you for seven hours
[1:21:24] Speaker 1: on cash app big w my friend. I appreciate that.
[1:21:29] Speaker 1: And let's see Adam with a question. Thank you. Adam says,
[1:21:34] Speaker 1: did you know the people of Dubai don't like the flintstones.
[1:21:37] Speaker 1: I didn't know that, but the people of Abu Dhabi do,
[1:21:43] Speaker 1: of course.
[1:21:45] Speaker 5: Uh huh.
[1:21:45] Speaker 1: And with that, I'll get my coat. Have a great night,
[1:21:48] Speaker 1: have a great evening. I appreciate the joke, Big w Adam.
[1:21:53] Speaker 1: You don't have to leave, you can stay. You can
[1:21:55] Speaker 1: say I love a good joke. Don't worry. And retired
[1:21:58] Speaker 1: bomb Tech, thank you so much for the ten hours
[1:22:00] Speaker 1: pretends I finally joined the crack and crew, Big w
[1:22:03] Speaker 1: bomb Tech, thank you for joining us, says use this
[1:22:06] Speaker 1: for some coffee and those late nights of cook and
[1:22:09] Speaker 1: much respect well retired Bob Tech. I appreciate that, and
[1:22:11] Speaker 1: trust me, it takes a lot out of you to
[1:22:14] Speaker 1: do these live streams. You know, I'm going for five
[1:22:15] Speaker 1: and six sometimes more at a time, and by the
[1:22:18] Speaker 1: end of the night like I'm ready to crash hard.
[1:22:21] Speaker 1: Thank you for being here, Bertram, thank you for the fireworks,
[1:22:24] Speaker 1: my friend, I just saw that. Thank you so much.
[1:22:26] Speaker 1: And Carnage Asada with us again. Thank you so much.
[1:22:29] Speaker 1: Carnage is great to see you, says rereading Revelation. Why
[1:22:33] Speaker 1: does the New Jerusalem sound so so tacky? Like something
[1:22:36] Speaker 1: Trump might have commissioned it's just metaphorical or symbolic. Actually,
[1:22:42] Speaker 1: it's kind of not. Okay, carnage, Hold on your hat,
[1:22:48] Speaker 1: grab your seat, there's some background. All right, we're gonna
[1:22:51] Speaker 1: have a lesson time, Okay. The reason why you see
[1:22:54] Speaker 1: like these gemstones and streets of gold and things like
[1:22:57] Speaker 1: this in heaven is because it plays in into the
[1:23:00] Speaker 1: cosmic forest imagery that was all throughout the ancient Near East.
[1:23:05] Speaker 1: You'll find in the Egyptian literature, you'll find in Hitsite literature.
[1:23:09] Speaker 1: You'll find elsewhere, like in the epic of Gilgamesh, that
[1:23:12] Speaker 1: in the garden of the gods in the like the
[1:23:16] Speaker 1: Lebanese forest, where the gods dwelt. There was a lot
[1:23:20] Speaker 1: of precious gems in the mountains, right, A lot of
[1:23:22] Speaker 1: these precious gems were found in the mountains, and they
[1:23:25] Speaker 1: believe that the highest deity theoretically of the region would
[1:23:28] Speaker 1: live on top of that mountain. And where God is
[1:23:31] Speaker 1: is where you find lush gardens and forests and all
[1:23:35] Speaker 1: these gemstones. You know, the gemstones is an indicator of
[1:23:40] Speaker 1: God's garden throne.
[1:23:42] Speaker 13: Right.
[1:23:43] Speaker 1: You can you can touch on this theme a little
[1:23:46] Speaker 1: bit if you read in Richard J. Clifford's doctoral dissertation,
[1:23:54] Speaker 1: The Cosmic Mountain. Look up The Cosmic Mountain. I think
[1:23:57] Speaker 1: it's still available on Amazon. That was his PhD dissertation.
[1:24:03] Speaker 1: It's amazing. He's a professor at Boston University. I believe.
[1:24:07] Speaker 1: Definitely check out The Cosmic Mountain. But yeah, that's why
[1:24:10] Speaker 1: Revelation has these gemstone type themes, and the same thing
[1:24:15] Speaker 1: with the Old Testament is because it's mimicking what they
[1:24:17] Speaker 1: believe the most sacred Garden of the Gods to be like.
[1:24:21] Speaker 1: But great question. Also, James Brown, thank you for the
[1:24:24] Speaker 1: twenty dollars over PayPal. Big w my friend. Hope you're
[1:24:29] Speaker 1: having a great summer living in America. It's about time
[1:24:32] Speaker 1: to break out some James Brown for the upcoming holiday.
[1:24:37] Speaker 1: And Peter Dell, thank you for the fight dollar. Supertest says, lol,
[1:24:40] Speaker 1: it's a play on no Gods, No Masters. I don't
[1:24:42] Speaker 1: know what that is. I have no idea what no God,
[1:24:45] Speaker 1: no Masters is. This book recommendation by Julian Oh, Oh,
[1:24:49] Speaker 1: Julian by Gore Vidal about the Roman emperor who tried
[1:24:54] Speaker 1: to bring back paganism really excellently. I've never heard of this.
[1:24:57] Speaker 1: You're probably more well read on this topic than I am.
[1:25:02] Speaker 1: I'm gonna google no gods, no masters, hold on, I've
[1:25:08] Speaker 1: never heard of it, but I do see there's a
[1:25:12] Speaker 1: couple entries on the internet for it. Interesting. Interesting, looks
[1:25:17] Speaker 1: like it's a play on some civil civil rights slogans
[1:25:21] Speaker 1: as well. Okay, all right, I'll check it out. I
[1:25:24] Speaker 1: will check it out. I appreciate the the recommendation though, Peter,
[1:25:29] Speaker 1: big w Peter, and also blood type, thank you so much,
[1:25:35] Speaker 1: blood Type, scarlet and gray. I know exactly where you're from.
[1:25:38] Speaker 1: Oh h, my friend, thank you for the twenty hours
[1:25:41] Speaker 1: Superchise says, hey, Justin, I want to be an investor
[1:25:44] Speaker 1: if you ever start a barbecue joint or franchise, but
[1:25:47] Speaker 1: it must be named Levitigus. One fire up the grill.
[1:25:51] Speaker 1: If I ever started barbecue joint, I will a million
[1:25:53] Speaker 1: percent put Leviticus in the name of it. A million percent.
[1:25:58] Speaker 1: There's gonna be a pleasing aroma. I promised there will
[1:26:01] Speaker 1: be a pleasing aroma. Thank you so much for the superchat,
[1:26:05] Speaker 1: my friend. All right, let me grab just a couple
[1:26:08] Speaker 1: more super chests, my friends, and then we're gonna get
[1:26:10] Speaker 1: our next guest in here. Danio says why did Jesus
[1:26:13] Speaker 1: ignore some laws picking grain on Sabbath? Oh, actually, that
[1:26:17] Speaker 1: wasn't a law. There's no law against plucking ahead of
[1:26:20] Speaker 1: grain and putting it in your mouth. That's not considered
[1:26:23] Speaker 1: harvesting the harvest And in fact, that you talk about
[1:26:26] Speaker 1: this in the Talmud, to be considered harvesting the grain,
[1:26:29] Speaker 1: you have to sickle it and bound it, right, But
[1:26:33] Speaker 1: just to walk in the grain field and pluck it
[1:26:35] Speaker 1: and put the individuals in your mouth was not harvesting. So,
[1:26:39] Speaker 1: to be fair, that wasn't a law that was being
[1:26:42] Speaker 1: broken there, says by pointing to the heart intent of
[1:26:46] Speaker 1: the law. Was this common among Jews? Now that second question, Yes,
[1:26:50] Speaker 1: it was common in Jesus's time period to make a
[1:26:54] Speaker 1: differentiation between the letter of the law and the intent
[1:26:57] Speaker 1: of the law. And this when the Christians came along,
[1:27:01] Speaker 1: they dove hard into the intent of the law, ignoring
[1:27:05] Speaker 1: the letter of the law. In fact, Origin writes about this.
[1:27:08] Speaker 1: Origin makes a case that the laws were never even
[1:27:10] Speaker 1: meant to be taken literally. But yeah, so there was
[1:27:15] Speaker 1: if you read in the Jewish rabbinic sources from Jesus'
[1:27:19] Speaker 1: time period, there was a big debate about the two
[1:27:22] Speaker 1: methods of interpreting the law, and Jesus seems to be
[1:27:25] Speaker 1: on the side of the intention matters more. Small Johnson,
[1:27:30] Speaker 1: good to see him, my friend. Thank you for the
[1:27:31] Speaker 1: five hours. Adam was just here earlier talking about Jesus
[1:27:35] Speaker 1: can confirm that we are sweating our tallywhackers off, but
[1:27:38] Speaker 1: we will not let that stop the cook out. Well,
[1:27:40] Speaker 1: thank you so much for letting me know, Small Johnson.
[1:27:43] Speaker 1: And I'm sorry that Doug is not keeping you cool
[1:27:47] Speaker 1: right now. It's a tough one. It's hot where I'm
[1:27:50] Speaker 1: at as well. And Meg, thank you for the supertests.
[1:27:53] Speaker 1: Did Paul really give marriage advice? I thought it was
[1:27:55] Speaker 1: basically don't do it, We're all gonna die. Say you're
[1:27:59] Speaker 1: not far off, And in First Sparanthions chapter seven, that's
[1:28:02] Speaker 1: what he's telling people, is said, don't get married if
[1:28:03] Speaker 1: you're not married. But he does give other advice, like
[1:28:06] Speaker 1: what to do if you have an unbelieving spouse, when
[1:28:09] Speaker 1: it's appropriate to not do the deed, and for how
[1:28:13] Speaker 1: long and for what reason if you are already married,
[1:28:16] Speaker 1: So he does give some of that. He does give
[1:28:18] Speaker 1: in First Sparanthions thirteen, this idea of what does it
[1:28:21] Speaker 1: mean to love, which is ironic since it contradicts what
[1:28:24] Speaker 1: God says about himself in the Old Testament. Love is
[1:28:26] Speaker 1: not jealous. Okay, all right, jealous God, God's grim reaper.
[1:28:32] Speaker 1: Thank you're the five dollars Supertest says Doug is better
[1:28:34] Speaker 1: than Jesus. Of course he is. What the f you
[1:28:36] Speaker 1: Christians still doing following around that old desert, Donkey, come
[1:28:39] Speaker 1: to the true God, Doug. Listen, they'll figure it out. Eventually,
[1:28:44] Speaker 1: the stone that the builders rejected will become the chief cornerstone.
[1:28:47] Speaker 1: We're going to make it happen. My friend and Free Mason,
[1:28:50] Speaker 1: good to see you again. Thank you so much for
[1:28:51] Speaker 1: the Supertest, says you guys are now my family. Praise Doug.
[1:28:54] Speaker 1: That's what we want. We want to build a community here,
[1:28:56] Speaker 1: Free Mason, we gotcha. We are here to support you,
[1:29:00] Speaker 1: my friend and Max, thank you for the nineteen ninety
[1:29:03] Speaker 1: nine super Thanks big, big w friend. I super appreciate that.
[1:29:08] Speaker 1: And with that, friends, we're gonna move on to our
[1:29:11] Speaker 1: next guest. We've had a couple that have been waiting
[1:29:13] Speaker 1: to get in. I, as you guys know, I try
[1:29:15] Speaker 1: to get them in the order they show up in.
[1:29:19] Speaker 1: So we're gonna bring in Andy. How you doing, Andy?
[1:29:23] Speaker 2: Oh?
[1:29:23] Speaker 8: Weollee good?
[1:29:25] Speaker 1: All right? Andy? Are you at least eighteen? And are
[1:29:26] Speaker 1: you a believer in.
[1:29:29] Speaker 7: I'm twenty.
[1:29:29] Speaker 2: Yes, I'm a pagan.
[1:29:31] Speaker 1: Cool And what type of pagan? What kind of god
[1:29:35] Speaker 1: do you believe in?
[1:29:38] Speaker 7: Make sure of it, like you know, the Greek gods
[1:29:40] Speaker 7: and the Norse gods and the Holocaust. Niger, Nager, Niger, Niggernigger,
[1:29:43] Speaker 7: you dont believe in Christ. You're a fucking you lover nigger.
[1:29:45] Speaker 7: Come on, you don't like me, nigger. You don't like
[1:29:47] Speaker 7: the old gods the new gods.
[1:29:48] Speaker 2: Come on, nigger.
[1:29:49] Speaker 14: Oh that's right.
[1:29:50] Speaker 7: We must secured the existence of our people in the future,
[1:29:52] Speaker 7: for white children, white power. Christ is king. I don't
[1:29:54] Speaker 7: like that. Oh maybe, hey, I'll say what you like Satan?
[1:29:56] Speaker 7: So no, so make fun of me. Come on, man,
[1:29:58] Speaker 7: come on, kick me off.
[1:29:59] Speaker 2: You know you want too.
[1:30:00] Speaker 7: Nigger, nigger, nigger. We don't like the niggers or fagots
[1:30:03] Speaker 7: because faggots sodomize each other and rape kids. Look at
[1:30:05] Speaker 7: the statistics, Come on, look at them. How many fags
[1:30:09] Speaker 7: adopt kids and rape them where they want? Little boys?
[1:30:11] Speaker 5: Right?
[1:30:11] Speaker 7: And they rape those two?
[1:30:12] Speaker 2: What about Jews.
[1:30:13] Speaker 7: They such the baby dick and rape the little boys
[1:30:14] Speaker 7: and herpes in New York. Right, look it up, all
[1:30:16] Speaker 7: your children, Palestine children? What about Jews bombing children?
[1:30:22] Speaker 5: Iran?
[1:30:22] Speaker 1: Right, Oh, this is the best Christianity can bring you,
[1:30:26] Speaker 1: my friends. This is all they have. They have nothing,
[1:30:29] Speaker 1: They don't they they can't do anything. This is it.
[1:30:33] Speaker 1: This is the like the shock and all remember the
[1:30:36] Speaker 1: Holy spirits living inside of them. The Holy Spirit is
[1:30:38] Speaker 1: empowering them to do the Lord's work. And this is
[1:30:41] Speaker 1: this is the best that he can do. Did did
[1:30:45] Speaker 1: you have anything beyond did you have anything beyond the
[1:30:49] Speaker 1: crash out? Or is that all? Is that all you had? Oh?
[1:30:53] Speaker 7: Well, what do you think about the Jews? Because it's
[1:30:55] Speaker 7: okay for Jews to.
[1:30:56] Speaker 1: Bomb, So you don't have anything beyond the crash out?
[1:30:59] Speaker 1: You're just saying Semitic piece of shit? Okay, all right, well,
[1:31:03] Speaker 1: have a good one. We're gonna move on to an
[1:31:04] Speaker 1: actual adult. Okay. Christ is not sending his best, and
[1:31:11] Speaker 1: he's certainly not sending his most rhetorically gifted that is
[1:31:14] Speaker 1: for sure. That is for sure. All Right, we're gonna
[1:31:19] Speaker 1: get scarface in here. Are you doing scarf? But he's loading.
[1:31:24] Speaker 1: We'll see scar How you doing scarface?
[1:31:29] Speaker 2: Hello?
[1:31:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, how you doing scarface?
[1:31:32] Speaker 2: Well?
[1:31:32] Speaker 1: You know you can hear me perfectly?
[1:31:34] Speaker 2: Fine?
[1:31:34] Speaker 1: All right, yeah, I can hear you scarface. Are you
[1:31:36] Speaker 1: at least eighteen and are you a believer? Yes, sir,
[1:31:41] Speaker 1: I am cool and we believe in Yes, fantastic. Now,
[1:31:49] Speaker 1: I just want to be the most convinced. Hold on,
[1:31:53] Speaker 1: you're on my life. What's your most convincing evidence or
[1:31:56] Speaker 1: argument for your God being real?
[1:31:59] Speaker 14: Well, I mean you're a life today right now talking
[1:32:01] Speaker 14: to me, so, so that's one of my evidence.
[1:32:04] Speaker 1: That's not evident day. None of that mean Jesus Christ
[1:32:10] Speaker 1: is the reason why he's certainly not alive. This can't
[1:32:14] Speaker 1: be why you waited in the guest box. No, you
[1:32:17] Speaker 1: cannot tell me you you waited in a guest box.
[1:32:21] Speaker 8: You think is imaginary?
[1:32:23] Speaker 1: No, your God is imaginary. How do you think that?
[1:32:28] Speaker 1: That's just like because you can't demonstrate him to exist
[1:32:31] Speaker 1: anywhere except for in your imagination. You're here because of him? No,
[1:32:36] Speaker 1: you're here because of Doug.
[1:32:37] Speaker 2: I understand.
[1:32:39] Speaker 14: Do you not believe in the coming of Jesus Christ.
[1:32:43] Speaker 1: He came and then he died. Now he's worm food.
[1:32:46] Speaker 1: He's fertilizer.
[1:32:48] Speaker 14: Oh you think he died on the cross that he came.
[1:32:51] Speaker 1: I don't know how he died.
[1:32:52] Speaker 13: I know he did them, I mean, well, you know
[1:32:56] Speaker 13: he did, wrote he did. He certainly didn't, because to
[1:33:02] Speaker 13: be honest, what I believe is he never died on
[1:33:06] Speaker 13: the cross, because for you to rise from something, that
[1:33:09] Speaker 13: means that you died, and he never.
[1:33:12] Speaker 1: He never rose.
[1:33:13] Speaker 14: He was still alive.
[1:33:14] Speaker 1: Okay, So he never died on the cross, which means
[1:33:16] Speaker 1: the New Testament's lying.
[1:33:19] Speaker 14: The New Testament was never Really when the fuck did
[1:33:21] Speaker 14: Jesus come back and changed the the Bible?
[1:33:24] Speaker 1: Bible change the Bible.
[1:33:26] Speaker 14: I believe the Old Testament is the true Bible.
[1:33:30] Speaker 1: I don't believe the New Testament. No, okay.
[1:33:34] Speaker 14: So now a lot of things, a lot of things
[1:33:36] Speaker 14: isn't true.
[1:33:37] Speaker 1: No, it's gonna be a rough one. So the New
[1:33:39] Speaker 1: Testament is not true. But the Old Testament is true?
[1:33:43] Speaker 13: Yeah, which is okay, so sad, so hard to believe,
[1:33:47] Speaker 13: which is you know, I have troubles with a lot
[1:33:50] Speaker 13: of beliefs too, you know.
[1:33:52] Speaker 1: So what in the Old Testament did Jesus fulfilled? Well
[1:33:57] Speaker 1: in the Old Testament, why would I believe that Jesus
[1:34:00] Speaker 1: is God, or that he resurrected or any of this nonsense.
[1:34:02] Speaker 1: If all you have to go on is the Old Testament.
[1:34:06] Speaker 14: I mean, you know he did and do a lot
[1:34:08] Speaker 14: of miracles, like what you know he did he revived
[1:34:14] Speaker 14: people from the dead.
[1:34:15] Speaker 1: No he didn't. You just told me that. You just
[1:34:16] Speaker 1: told me that the New Testament.
[1:34:19] Speaker 14: I think it was one person he did revive.
[1:34:22] Speaker 1: So you just told me that the New Testament is
[1:34:24] Speaker 1: not true. And now you're quoting the New Testament. So
[1:34:27] Speaker 1: you want to try that one again, little buddy, little
[1:34:43] Speaker 1: bro y, Gotta meet yourself. What just happened? How did
[1:34:50] Speaker 1: I get muted immediately? Because you were crashing out while
[1:34:52] Speaker 1: I was talking? So you can't quote the New Testament
[1:34:57] Speaker 1: when you just told me that the New Testament is
[1:34:59] Speaker 1: not true? Okay, So what did Jesus do without quoting
[1:35:04] Speaker 1: something from the New Testament?
[1:35:09] Speaker 14: I mean, well, again, what I was trying to say
[1:35:19] Speaker 14: earlier before you muted me was I believe in Jesus Christ.
[1:35:24] Speaker 2: I do believe in all of that.
[1:35:26] Speaker 13: I'm not exactly too like into all the stuff, like
[1:35:31] Speaker 13: all the religious stuff, but I know what I know
[1:35:35] Speaker 13: because of what I've been told.
[1:35:37] Speaker 1: I gus, you know it because you were told it.
[1:35:44] Speaker 1: What is happening over your place?
[1:35:46] Speaker 14: I'm sorry, I'm getting closer.
[1:35:48] Speaker 2: It's like really loud.
[1:35:56] Speaker 1: God is absolutely not sending his best. This. This is
[1:35:59] Speaker 1: bottom of the bear is what it is. This is
[1:36:05] Speaker 1: some disappointing stuff here. I want to give him a chance.
[1:36:10] Speaker 1: He waited in the guest box. Buddy. If you're on
[1:36:13] Speaker 1: the phone, there you go. Can you hear me? Mother? Fuck?
[1:36:23] Speaker 1: That better be Jesus calling you. Okay, hold on now,
[1:36:31] Speaker 1: I'm giving you a second. You come back when you
[1:36:33] Speaker 1: get your phone situation figured out. We're gonna move on
[1:36:35] Speaker 1: to uh hopefully maybe if we're lucky in absolute adult
[1:36:41] Speaker 1: or an actual adult j col thank you so much
[1:36:43] Speaker 1: for the two hour super chat. My friendly to see
[1:36:45] Speaker 1: you tonight, says Praise the Lord douglath. Amen. That's even
[1:36:49] Speaker 1: in proper king James English. I super appreciate that. That's
[1:36:53] Speaker 1: no holy book is holy if it's not in Elizabethan English.
[1:36:56] Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys knew that. And E Boogie,
[1:36:58] Speaker 1: thank you for the fighter our super chests. Inconsistencies of
[1:37:01] Speaker 1: Christ is a great book name for you. Just actually,
[1:37:04] Speaker 1: I already have a book name. I haven't told anyone
[1:37:06] Speaker 1: rock Hard for Doug. Let's get the cook in. Thanks
[1:37:09] Speaker 1: again for saving my time and sanity. Listen, I'm doing
[1:37:12] Speaker 1: what I can, Boogie, I'm doing what I can. But
[1:37:14] Speaker 1: I do have a great name for the book coming out.
[1:37:16] Speaker 1: You're gonna love it. I'm not gonna give away any spoilers, though,
[1:37:19] Speaker 1: but thanks for thinking of me. And also son is
[1:37:22] Speaker 1: my friend. Thank you for the one sixty six arses. Again,
[1:37:26] Speaker 1: thank you so much. Always from Argentina says, have you
[1:37:29] Speaker 1: ever thought of Doug's commandments? Actually, we have them in
[1:37:31] Speaker 1: the Discord if you go to the Book of Doug.
[1:37:34] Speaker 1: In the Book of Doug, in the Discord, we got
[1:37:36] Speaker 1: the commandments of Doug. I think M's and somebody else
[1:37:39] Speaker 1: put them together. He says, I bet three of four
[1:37:42] Speaker 1: of Dougs are going to be better than Moses's lousy
[1:37:45] Speaker 1: ten Brave Doug. Absolutely, they're gonna be better than Moses's
[1:37:49] Speaker 1: crappy ten commandments, I mean ridiculous. His ten commandments were
[1:37:53] Speaker 1: so bad he had to follow them up with six
[1:37:56] Speaker 1: hundred and like six hundred and one or two of
[1:37:59] Speaker 1: them or six hundred and twelve whatever, six hundred, Chick says,
[1:38:06] Speaker 1: thanks for the horizontal channel. I hate vertical. Well, Chick,
[1:38:09] Speaker 1: that was kind of what I was thinking. Not everyone's
[1:38:11] Speaker 1: down with the vertical, but we're gonna try to please everybody.
[1:38:16] Speaker 1: Thank you for being here. I really appreciate that. And Herbie,
[1:38:19] Speaker 1: thank you for the super chat, says I don't know
[1:38:20] Speaker 1: whether to laugh at the callers or feel sorry for them.
[1:38:23] Speaker 1: It's just after midnight in the UK, so I'll be
[1:38:25] Speaker 1: catching the rest of the show later today. Well, Herbie,
[1:38:27] Speaker 1: thank you so much for being here, my friend. I
[1:38:29] Speaker 1: really appreciate you making the time to be here and
[1:38:31] Speaker 1: support in the channel. I hope you get a good
[1:38:33] Speaker 1: night of rest, and I hope when you wake up
[1:38:36] Speaker 1: tomorrow and you get to watch the video that there'd
[1:38:38] Speaker 1: be some good cooking for you. That's what I'm hoping
[1:38:41] Speaker 1: for team as my friend, thank you so much for
[1:38:43] Speaker 1: the ten hour super chat, though, he says, for Doudoumy
[1:38:45] Speaker 1: twenty two, what's the best ancient source to show that
[1:38:48] Speaker 1: people back then New Hymens could tear for reasons other
[1:38:52] Speaker 1: than sex. Earliest could find was in the Jerusalem talm
[1:38:55] Speaker 1: Mad dating to four hundred CE. Well, there's a couple
[1:38:57] Speaker 1: of things. First of all, the town is when we
[1:39:01] Speaker 1: talk about the date of the Talmud, we're referring to
[1:39:04] Speaker 1: when it was finished. That's the point. But if you're
[1:39:07] Speaker 1: just reading the Talmud, it's clear that there's a bunch
[1:39:09] Speaker 1: of people in the Talmud that are writing earlier. Like,
[1:39:13] Speaker 1: for example, there's a there's section in the Talmid where
[1:39:16] Speaker 1: they're talking about the temple as though the temple still exists,
[1:39:20] Speaker 1: because the temple dies still exist when it was written.
[1:39:23] Speaker 1: The Talmid wasn't written the way we think it was.
[1:39:27] Speaker 1: Rabbis spoke and wrote stuff down, and then there was
[1:39:32] Speaker 1: a disputation, Then there's another disputation, then there's another disputation.
[1:39:36] Speaker 1: So we've got voices in the Talmud that go back
[1:39:38] Speaker 1: before even Jesus. It's just that we don't have it
[1:39:41] Speaker 1: written down until after, or we don't have it compiled
[1:39:45] Speaker 1: until written after. That being said, the Talmud has a
[1:39:48] Speaker 1: bunch of good sources. I've collected about twelve or thirteen
[1:39:51] Speaker 1: of them. Also, some of the early Greeks in the
[1:39:54] Speaker 1: medical text wrote about it. Send me a discord, chat,
[1:39:57] Speaker 1: I'll send you the sources. I've got the and i've
[1:40:00] Speaker 1: got him, But good question. It's a solid it's a
[1:40:02] Speaker 1: solid question. But definitely also look at the Greek medical
[1:40:06] Speaker 1: texts and Anglican choir master. Thank you for the ten
[1:40:10] Speaker 1: that I was super chat my friend, he says, thoughts
[1:40:11] Speaker 1: on David Norton's reworked KJV. Also, where's Anasa Well. I
[1:40:18] Speaker 1: haven't read Norton's reworked KJV because generally I think the
[1:40:21] Speaker 1: KJV is nonsense. But I do like the new King
[1:40:25] Speaker 1: James version. I think they did a pretty good job
[1:40:27] Speaker 1: with that. Hadassa I wish he was here, should be back,
[1:40:30] Speaker 1: you know how she is. She's hate watching right now
[1:40:32] Speaker 1: as we speak. I bet he says, we need a
[1:40:34] Speaker 1: wellness check in Praise Doug from all whom, from whom
[1:40:39] Speaker 1: all blessings flow. Well, thank you so much, choir master.
[1:40:42] Speaker 1: And that's a good hymn for Doug. I appreciate that
[1:40:45] Speaker 1: we do need to pile some hymns for Doug. I'm
[1:40:48] Speaker 1: with you wholeheartedly, and so is the Freemason pilot. He says,
[1:40:52] Speaker 1: Praise Doug, and god Win says, have you tried cracking
[1:40:55] Speaker 1: gold nectar of the Dougs. I actually haven't got around
[1:40:59] Speaker 1: the trying the gold. Yet. You know, I love cracking.
[1:41:02] Speaker 1: I'll be probably haven't cracking tonight. Unfortunately I haven't tried
[1:41:06] Speaker 1: the cracking gold. It just hasn't happened. I apologize, I'm behind.
[1:41:11] Speaker 1: That's my fault. I shouldn't have done that task to me.
[1:41:16] Speaker 1: But I'll get there. I'll get there, all right. We're
[1:41:20] Speaker 1: gonna get Jesus DeCamps in the guest box. How you doing,
[1:41:25] Speaker 1: Jesus to Camps?
[1:41:29] Speaker 8: What's going on?
[1:41:29] Speaker 1: Man?
[1:41:29] Speaker 8: Can you hear me?
[1:41:30] Speaker 1: I can hear him. Jesus. Are you at least eighteen?
[1:41:34] Speaker 1: And are you a believer?
[1:41:37] Speaker 2: Yes?
[1:41:38] Speaker 7: And no?
[1:41:39] Speaker 1: Okay, so you're not a believer, right sure, most in
[1:41:44] Speaker 1: your mind.
[1:41:48] Speaker 8: I'm just coming off really a deconstruction phase. This started about,
[1:41:53] Speaker 8: let's say last year, twenty twenty four. I started to
[1:41:56] Speaker 8: realize that the Jesus and Paul, they all expected the
[1:42:00] Speaker 8: end to happen within their generation. So I went into
[1:42:03] Speaker 8: this whole interpretation called full preterism.
[1:42:06] Speaker 1: Oh when yeah, yeah, I know, I get it. That's
[1:42:11] Speaker 1: a natural reaction. When you read the filled prophecies of
[1:42:14] Speaker 1: the Second Coming, you think to yourself, how can I
[1:42:17] Speaker 1: look at the book and claim that it actually did happen?
[1:42:22] Speaker 6: Right?
[1:42:22] Speaker 8: And so when I started to uh, it wasn't really
[1:42:26] Speaker 8: the start. I started to see the fallacies and even
[1:42:31] Speaker 8: even the Yahweh's existence and a couple of other things.
[1:42:35] Speaker 8: And I would tell these like right now, kind of
[1:42:38] Speaker 8: telling this to my you know, quote unquote Christian friends,
[1:42:41] Speaker 8: and they kind of kind of hurts to me because
[1:42:44] Speaker 8: they kind of don't see it, and for that reason,
[1:42:46] Speaker 8: they're kind of abandoning me.
[1:42:49] Speaker 1: And sorry to hear that. Have you joined the discord yet? No,
[1:42:57] Speaker 1: I definitely recommend it. We've got a lot of people
[1:43:00] Speaker 1: currently in post deconstruction right now and it's a great community. Yeah.
[1:43:08] Speaker 8: Yeah, I wanted to come here to ask you since
[1:43:14] Speaker 8: some you're also deconstructed as well, and so what, uh,
[1:43:18] Speaker 8: what is what should be our worldview now? Because this
[1:43:21] Speaker 8: was a very big part of our lives for a
[1:43:25] Speaker 8: long time. What is your worldview?
[1:43:26] Speaker 1: Well, I think that's up for everyone to decide. So,
[1:43:28] Speaker 1: for example, I've got friends that are still that they
[1:43:31] Speaker 1: still are spiritual, Like they don't believe in like a
[1:43:34] Speaker 1: creator God, like the biblical type of God, but they
[1:43:37] Speaker 1: do still believe in some sort of spiritual force and
[1:43:41] Speaker 1: like an afterlife and things like that. Those are things
[1:43:43] Speaker 1: that everybody kind of needs to wrestle on their own
[1:43:46] Speaker 1: right now. I did that for a while when I
[1:43:49] Speaker 1: left Christianity. I was an agnostic theist for a while,
[1:43:52] Speaker 1: and I for me, it was studying science that eventually
[1:43:56] Speaker 1: got me to the point where I was like, oh,
[1:43:59] Speaker 1: God doesn't really make it a whole lot of sentence actually,
[1:44:02] Speaker 1: But I'm I've never been like completely against the idea
[1:44:07] Speaker 1: of God. Like, if somebody has a god, like they
[1:44:11] Speaker 1: found God during the AA program, that's fine, you know,
[1:44:14] Speaker 1: if that God doesn't hurt anybody and it helps you,
[1:44:17] Speaker 1: happy for you. But my personal position is that I
[1:44:21] Speaker 1: don't think there's any good reason to believe in those gods.
[1:44:24] Speaker 1: I think they can bring comfort, but I don't believe
[1:44:27] Speaker 1: they actually exist.
[1:44:31] Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm kind of at the same point too. I
[1:44:33] Speaker 8: kind of realized that like two months ago, So I
[1:44:36] Speaker 8: felt I fell in a very deep kind of depression
[1:44:39] Speaker 8: a two months ago because I realized that whoever, whoever
[1:44:43] Speaker 8: yahweah is, it's not it's not really working. I was
[1:44:46] Speaker 8: really in a bad, really state. I don't even know
[1:44:49] Speaker 8: how I got out of it, but I've kind of
[1:44:52] Speaker 8: was saying to myself, like, this is the only life
[1:44:55] Speaker 8: that we really have, and I think the best thing
[1:44:57] Speaker 8: we could do to our is create our own lives. Yeah,
[1:45:00] Speaker 8: and not wait for this divine plan coming from heaven
[1:45:02] Speaker 8: that's never going to happen.
[1:45:04] Speaker 1: One hundred percent. You know, I went through the same
[1:45:06] Speaker 1: things you did. I was I was angry, I was sad,
[1:45:09] Speaker 1: I was depressed, I was upset, and I went through
[1:45:11] Speaker 1: all those stages of grief when you go through these
[1:45:14] Speaker 1: existential crises. And I do know this much, having now
[1:45:19] Speaker 1: gone through it and I'm on the other side of it,
[1:45:21] Speaker 1: I can tell you that it gets better. And in fact,
[1:45:23] Speaker 1: there's a lot of people here watching that would say
[1:45:25] Speaker 1: the same thing. It's hard, but it does get better,
[1:45:28] Speaker 1: it does get easier. And I think one of the
[1:45:32] Speaker 1: one of the mantras that helped to get me through
[1:45:36] Speaker 1: was waking up and telling myself, you know what, I'm
[1:45:39] Speaker 1: not going to live forever, but I'm alive today. I
[1:45:43] Speaker 1: had a neighbor who was in her younger eighties that
[1:45:48] Speaker 1: told me this. I asked her if she was having
[1:45:51] Speaker 1: a good day, and she goes, well, I'm alive, so
[1:45:54] Speaker 1: I'm going to make it a good day. And I
[1:45:56] Speaker 1: thought that's a really good, really good way to view it, Like, listen,
[1:46:00] Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm gonna die, but I'm alive today, motherfucker,
[1:46:03] Speaker 1: and I'm gonna make sure I'm going to live the
[1:46:04] Speaker 1: shit out of this day.
[1:46:08] Speaker 8: Yeah, that's a beautiful way to put it. So what
[1:46:10] Speaker 8: you would say that, because I call you to have
[1:46:14] Speaker 8: a kind of a meeting of the minds, since you're
[1:46:16] Speaker 8: at that level already of truth and so would you
[1:46:20] Speaker 8: say that the most important thing is uh raw existence itself?
[1:46:23] Speaker 8: And if after a raw existence, wouldn't it be your worldview?
[1:46:28] Speaker 8: What's what is more important in your mind than raw existence?
[1:46:32] Speaker 8: And then how you interpret your reality or that's the
[1:46:35] Speaker 8: two things that are the most top.
[1:46:38] Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if my answer is universal because
[1:46:41] Speaker 1: once you once you get rid of the idea that,
[1:46:44] Speaker 1: like your your purpose is given to you by a god. Now,
[1:46:48] Speaker 1: the idea of having a purpose is kind of subjective.
[1:46:51] Speaker 1: Like I could say that I think my purpose is this,
[1:46:55] Speaker 1: but I could see why other people would disagree with me.
[1:46:57] Speaker 1: So I don't know if I could tell you what
[1:47:00] Speaker 1: our purpose ultimately is. I think we need to decide
[1:47:05] Speaker 1: for ourselves what is meaningful to us and what brings
[1:47:08] Speaker 1: us purpose and I realize that for some Christians, they'll say, well,
[1:47:12] Speaker 1: this is kind of frustrating because some people could decide,
[1:47:17] Speaker 1: you know, they could decide that they want to have
[1:47:19] Speaker 1: really bad purposes, or they could justify doing bad things
[1:47:22] Speaker 1: because they don't have a skyfairy telling them what to do.
[1:47:24] Speaker 1: But the reality is that that pretty rarely happens. I
[1:47:29] Speaker 1: don't see many ex Christians that start doing bad things
[1:47:35] Speaker 1: because oh, God's not going to stop me, I'm as
[1:47:37] Speaker 1: well do it, right. I don't really see that. In fact,
[1:47:39] Speaker 1: I see more people becoming more caring, more loving, what's
[1:47:46] Speaker 1: the world I'm looking for, more extroverted even sometimes because
[1:47:49] Speaker 1: they realize that, like, if this is all we have,
[1:47:53] Speaker 1: we owe it to ourselves to maximize the experience, not
[1:47:56] Speaker 1: just for us, for the other people around us, like
[1:47:59] Speaker 1: my son. Right, I owe it to my son to
[1:48:01] Speaker 1: maximize his experience because this is the only experience he's
[1:48:04] Speaker 1: going to have.
[1:48:08] Speaker 8: Right, right, And so that's that's what I'm coming from.
[1:48:11] Speaker 8: I believe that the evidence for God, it's really not
[1:48:17] Speaker 8: there to me, it's not sufficient for me. I think
[1:48:19] Speaker 8: the more evidence points to that there isn't a God
[1:48:22] Speaker 8: in this random universe, in this random world and with
[1:48:25] Speaker 8: all the evil happening. So I agree with you. Will
[1:48:28] Speaker 8: you say we have to create our own lives to
[1:48:30] Speaker 8: maximize human flourishing. And so I asked this because it's
[1:48:35] Speaker 8: kind of deep to me. It's kind of like I've
[1:48:36] Speaker 8: been in this whole thing for four years. It's like, well,
[1:48:39] Speaker 8: how the hell do I live now? Like it's that deep.
[1:48:42] Speaker 8: It kind of gets to the question if do I
[1:48:44] Speaker 8: want to be here or do not want to be here?
[1:48:46] Speaker 8: I had those thoughts, like I told you the last
[1:48:48] Speaker 8: two months, and to be or not to be? Really,
[1:48:51] Speaker 8: so I said to myself, I was like, if I'm
[1:48:53] Speaker 8: not here and if this is all everything that I have,
[1:48:55] Speaker 8: then there's no plan of afterlife. Then I rad I
[1:49:00] Speaker 8: choose to be here and kind of maximize my own
[1:49:04] Speaker 8: life in a in an ethical, human flourishing way. Yeah.
[1:49:09] Speaker 1: There's a great song that was just released by Pink Beard.
[1:49:12] Speaker 1: We know him in the community as Sebastian Cole. It
[1:49:17] Speaker 1: was it called I Live or I Lived? I Lived,
[1:49:21] Speaker 1: And I feel like it's almost for me. It's almost
[1:49:24] Speaker 1: become like an anthem great song where he's basically eulogizing
[1:49:29] Speaker 1: himself in the song. It's an amazing. I definitely recommend
[1:49:33] Speaker 1: giving it a listen, but I think it's for me.
[1:49:38] Speaker 1: It speaks to to the idea that like, listen when
[1:49:41] Speaker 1: I when I go, I'm gonna die with a smile
[1:49:44] Speaker 1: on my face knowing I did everything I possibly could
[1:49:48] Speaker 1: do and wanted to do. I'm out holding anything back.
[1:49:51] Speaker 1: I'm not going to degrade with any regrets. I'm gonna
[1:49:54] Speaker 1: love my family, I'm gonna love my friends, and I'm
[1:49:57] Speaker 1: not going to die thinking, oh, I wish I had
[1:49:59] Speaker 1: spent more time with my children. I wish I was
[1:50:02] Speaker 1: nicer to so and so. You know what I mean,
[1:50:04] Speaker 1: because I can't make it up in the next life.
[1:50:09] Speaker 8: Right, Yeah, that's very beautiful. So you would agree that,
[1:50:15] Speaker 8: like like this, the most important thing is our first
[1:50:20] Speaker 8: is our raw existence, right, that we're alive. It's human life, right.
[1:50:25] Speaker 7: Right.
[1:50:25] Speaker 8: And so second, I was gonna say earlier, the second
[1:50:29] Speaker 8: most important thing is how you It's how you interpret
[1:50:31] Speaker 8: that reality, like you said, how you communicate with the world,
[1:50:35] Speaker 8: how you treat your your son and your family and
[1:50:37] Speaker 8: your friends. Because some people choose subjectively and it's their
[1:50:41] Speaker 8: choice to to not do that, but I feel like
[1:50:44] Speaker 8: that's uh, wouldn't that be the most second important thing
[1:50:47] Speaker 8: aside from your raw human existence.
[1:50:50] Speaker 1: Well, I'm not really sure that I could tell you
[1:50:52] Speaker 1: what is most important, right because now we're talking about
[1:50:55] Speaker 1: just my opinion, you know what I mean. And I
[1:50:59] Speaker 1: think after my existence, you know, the next the next
[1:51:03] Speaker 1: important thing, or even equal as an important thing, is
[1:51:06] Speaker 1: everybody else's existence, because if my existence matters, so deserves.
[1:51:15] Speaker 8: Yeah right, Yeah, ask you these questions because I'm kind
[1:51:18] Speaker 8: of I kind of am in the process of reconstructing.
[1:51:24] Speaker 8: That means actually knowing that I'm a finite being in
[1:51:28] Speaker 8: this expansive universe that most likely has no creator, at
[1:51:33] Speaker 8: least as far as we know in the twenty first
[1:51:35] Speaker 8: century of our knowledge. So it's like, now I want
[1:51:39] Speaker 8: to know what actually matters in life. That's why I'm
[1:51:41] Speaker 8: asking you these things, so I can get a perspective
[1:51:43] Speaker 8: on what matters.
[1:51:46] Speaker 5: Yeah, believe it or not.
[1:51:47] Speaker 1: I like a quote in the Bible. If you go
[1:51:49] Speaker 1: to Ecclesiastes, the author is coming to grips with his
[1:51:54] Speaker 1: own immortality and he's he's asking himself, we're here and
[1:52:00] Speaker 1: we're going to not exist eventually, what should we do?
[1:52:03] Speaker 1: What is what is the thing we should do that
[1:52:06] Speaker 1: is not vanity, and he says, eat, drink, and be
[1:52:09] Speaker 1: merry for tomorrow we may die. Spend time with your wife,
[1:52:13] Speaker 1: spend time with your family. And I agree with that.
[1:52:19] Speaker 8: Right, that's the same book. That's the same book that
[1:52:21] Speaker 8: I was reading basically when I when I was thinking
[1:52:23] Speaker 8: all of these thoughts, it's like, I feel like the
[1:52:25] Speaker 8: Book of Ecclesiastes, it's it's it's the most rational book
[1:52:28] Speaker 8: in the Bible, because there is no really after life
[1:52:31] Speaker 8: there when it talks about in the end of Ecclesiastes twelve,
[1:52:37] Speaker 8: I learned that that was an addition when it says
[1:52:39] Speaker 8: something about keep God, fear God, and keep his commandments.
[1:52:42] Speaker 8: A critical scholar say that that was like an addition
[1:52:44] Speaker 8: later to try to make the book more pious, to
[1:52:46] Speaker 8: put into the cannon.
[1:52:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, Ili, that was there.
[1:52:49] Speaker 8: I just think, yeah, I read the same thing, the
[1:52:51] Speaker 8: same thing basically, the book Ecclesiastes. I agree. He says,
[1:52:54] Speaker 8: also to add what you said, do good?
[1:52:57] Speaker 1: You know, yeah, right, I would. I would echo the
[1:53:02] Speaker 1: Book of Ecclesiastes. I would also read the Epic of
[1:53:06] Speaker 1: go Gomesh, the epic of Googlemesh. Most people don't realize
[1:53:10] Speaker 1: is kind of an existential read. Definitely would recommend reading
[1:53:13] Speaker 1: that one. Obviously, in that epic of go Gomesh there
[1:53:16] Speaker 1: are gods, but it's pretty clear that they believe that
[1:53:20] Speaker 1: mortals only get to live ones, so they deal with
[1:53:24] Speaker 1: that in a really interesting way.
[1:53:28] Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah, I feel like this is a very very
[1:53:32] Speaker 8: beautiful channel because I think this this touches home for
[1:53:37] Speaker 8: a lot of people. It's like we we who are deconstructed,
[1:53:40] Speaker 8: at least in my experience, it's a lot of people,
[1:53:43] Speaker 8: a lot of Christians. They hurt because it's like you
[1:53:45] Speaker 8: want them to see it, Like I want the people
[1:53:48] Speaker 8: I'm communicating with to see that Jesus intended and Paul
[1:53:51] Speaker 8: intended the end to happen, and I want them to
[1:53:54] Speaker 8: question the implications of that. But it seems like their
[1:53:57] Speaker 8: eyes are close to it, and instead of opening their
[1:54:00] Speaker 8: mind and experiencing that cognitive distance and experiencing that discomfort,
[1:54:04] Speaker 8: they choose to to to banish me because it's easier
[1:54:09] Speaker 8: because they've created their whole lives based upon uh these doctrines.
[1:54:13] Speaker 2: I know.
[1:54:14] Speaker 8: I know a friend who's he went down to Florida,
[1:54:17] Speaker 8: married a wife, everything, and he said to me that
[1:54:22] Speaker 8: on a phone call he said to me that he's
[1:54:24] Speaker 8: a he's basically abandoned his sister because she's lesbian.
[1:54:28] Speaker 1: I mean, that's what religion does. You crazy, that's religion
[1:54:32] Speaker 1: does to you. Yeah, it's crazy. I wouldn't dream of it. Listen, Jesus,
[1:54:38] Speaker 1: I appreciate talking to you. I got to keep the
[1:54:40] Speaker 1: debates rolling because everyone's here to see a debate. But
[1:54:43] Speaker 1: join the discord hook up with this offline.
[1:54:45] Speaker 8: Okay, all right, man, thanks for your time.
[1:54:48] Speaker 1: Cheers, friend. I do remember going through the same existential
[1:54:58] Speaker 1: angst and during my deconstruction, you know, where we're trying
[1:55:01] Speaker 1: to figure all kind of stuff out. I remember too,
[1:55:06] Speaker 1: during my angry phase. That's when I really kind of
[1:55:10] Speaker 1: fell in love with Matt Della Huney's content because like
[1:55:14] Speaker 1: he was angry. I'm like, I'm like, fuck, yeah, I'm angry,
[1:55:17] Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And so there's there's always,
[1:55:20] Speaker 1: you know, there's always the misery loves company type of
[1:55:23] Speaker 1: situation sometimes and sometimes you need that. Sometimes you need
[1:55:26] Speaker 1: someone in the house just to be like, yeah, this
[1:55:28] Speaker 1: is bullshit. And Angel, thank you for the super chat
[1:55:32] Speaker 1: frid And he says, hey, Justin, when will Satan be crushed?
[1:55:35] Speaker 1: Is it soon Roman sixteen twenty. Please, we've been waiting
[1:55:38] Speaker 1: two thousand years how many times? So I'm going to
[1:55:43] Speaker 1: tell you something because I've got two books. The first
[1:55:47] Speaker 1: one I'm hopefully going to finish this summer. Second one
[1:55:49] Speaker 1: is going to be a continuation of that. The third one, right, so,
[1:55:53] Speaker 1: I want to do the prophecies in the Gospels, the
[1:55:56] Speaker 1: prophecies and the rest of the New Testament, and then
[1:55:59] Speaker 1: I want to write a book on the failed predictions
[1:56:01] Speaker 1: of Jesus. And I already have a title fourth that
[1:56:05] Speaker 1: you've reminded me of. You're gonna love it. I can't
[1:56:07] Speaker 1: tell you what it is. It's gonna be amazing, but
[1:56:09] Speaker 1: keep your eyes open for that. The idea that Jesus
[1:56:12] Speaker 1: is coming imminently is going to be a book rolling out.
[1:56:16] Speaker 1: It's going to be amazing. Timothy. Thank you for the superchat.
[1:56:18] Speaker 1: My friend says, praise this to the hardest gray rock
[1:56:21] Speaker 1: stoic god, unmoved by anything incorporeal mind in your mind
[1:56:27] Speaker 1: rock heart A Doug A Doug. I couldn't have said
[1:56:31] Speaker 1: it better. I'm not a great wordsmith. You did great.
[1:56:34] Speaker 1: You did great, Doctor Pizza, Thank you for the super chat.
[1:56:36] Speaker 1: Good to see you, my friend says, if you have
[1:56:38] Speaker 1: a time machine, when you go back and tell Benjamin
[1:56:41] Speaker 1: Franklin the electrons go the other way? Or do you
[1:56:43] Speaker 1: let it be? Actually, I would let it be. I
[1:56:45] Speaker 1: would get because it's not gonna affect anything, you know.
[1:56:48] Speaker 1: I don't think his idea of electrons, or anyone's idea
[1:56:51] Speaker 1: that electrons flow in one predict direction is gonna matter much.
[1:56:57] Speaker 1: They'll get it all sorted out. Don't worry about that,
[1:56:59] Speaker 1: and wrote and says Jesus's minor miracles were just card tricks.
[1:57:05] Speaker 1: Can you imagine? So that's what That's what the Jews
[1:57:10] Speaker 1: and the opponents like Kelsis accused Jesus of. They said
[1:57:13] Speaker 1: he was a sorcerer and a magician. I could just
[1:57:16] Speaker 1: picture Jesus doing card tricks, you know. Larry, thank you
[1:57:21] Speaker 1: for sending out five DZ membership, my friend. Great to
[1:57:24] Speaker 1: see it tonight. Thank you so so much. I appreciate that.
[1:57:27] Speaker 1: And big Z is with us as well. Thank you,
[1:57:30] Speaker 1: big Z says question asked last show, does God get bored?
[1:57:34] Speaker 1: Lend itself perfectly to explaining Trump. God's bored and just
[1:57:38] Speaker 1: fucking with us. That's it. He's like, I wonder what
[1:57:42] Speaker 1: would happen if and just here's some bullshit. Just figure
[1:57:47] Speaker 1: that one out, because listen, if God's all knowing, as
[1:57:51] Speaker 1: we discussed previously, he's got to get bored eventually, right, Like,
[1:57:55] Speaker 1: there's no way you can be all knowing and not
[1:57:57] Speaker 1: be bored. It's crazy. And Grant says, embarrassing story. When
[1:58:01] Speaker 1: I was a Christian, I emailed Gary have hermass oh
[1:58:04] Speaker 1: no about why the Witch of Endor could raise the dead.
[1:58:07] Speaker 1: He said, stop looking into it. Oh fuck sake. I
[1:58:11] Speaker 1: am not surprised. These are the types of responses you
[1:58:14] Speaker 1: get from professionals when you bring up good questions. They
[1:58:19] Speaker 1: try to chase you away from asking more questions and
[1:58:22] Speaker 1: seeking answers because they're terrified. And Trump failed to appreciate
[1:58:27] Speaker 1: the superjest, says, can I clip that?
[1:58:28] Speaker 6: I edit?
[1:58:29] Speaker 1: Debates with memes, go for it, Yeah, clip away, my
[1:58:32] Speaker 1: friend and minute man, thank you for the superjest says
[1:58:35] Speaker 1: that racist caller must have proud parents who happened to
[1:58:37] Speaker 1: be siblings. I think you're about right. Yeah, And if
[1:58:40] Speaker 1: I had to guess, I'd say he's living in a
[1:58:42] Speaker 1: holler somewhere and wearing overalls and married to his sister
[1:58:48] Speaker 1: Adam says, Bible Bros and phil Bros all seemed to
[1:58:51] Speaker 1: think that sounding drowsy is some kind of power move.
[1:58:53] Speaker 1: That is such a Philbro move. I don't know why
[1:58:56] Speaker 1: phil brows are like that. So many TikTok philbros think
[1:58:59] Speaker 1: that being like slow talking mono tone is like the thing.
[1:59:06] Speaker 1: I don't know if it's something that they learned in school.
[1:59:09] Speaker 1: I don't know. Kanami, we got a cheat code with
[1:59:12] Speaker 1: let's thank you for the six sixty six? Is Jesus
[1:59:14] Speaker 1: flipped the money tables because the dealer should seventeen and
[1:59:17] Speaker 1: Jesus didn't want to hit on sixteen. Oh, and Jesus
[1:59:21] Speaker 1: was pissedtruck. That makes much more sense of Jesus turning
[1:59:24] Speaker 1: over the money changer's tables. He got the wrong hand
[1:59:28] Speaker 1: deld to him. He was pissed. I'd be pissed too
[1:59:31] Speaker 1: if I got dealt that hand. That's a tough one.
[1:59:33] Speaker 1: That's a really tough call. And Aaron, thank you, my
[1:59:36] Speaker 1: friend for sending twenty hours. Canadian super Chat says there
[1:59:40] Speaker 1: are over thirty thousand denominations of Christianity, but only one
[1:59:43] Speaker 1: denomination of doug. Absolutely only one doug anity. Christians can't
[1:59:49] Speaker 1: agree about anything, but through Doug we learn everything rock hard.
[1:59:53] Speaker 1: For Doug, congratsen going full time. Well Aaron, thank you
[1:59:55] Speaker 1: so much for supporting the stream. Thank you for being
[1:59:58] Speaker 1: here and for this stream and sharing the streams. Guys,
[2:00:02] Speaker 1: we really appreciate this. It helps get it out to everybody.
[2:00:05] Speaker 1: And Fry says saved by Shelley sigaal is my new
[2:00:09] Speaker 1: theme song. I actually don't know that one. Now again,
[2:00:12] Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to do some home merch and get
[2:00:14] Speaker 1: a hold of it. Thank you for the recommendation, Fried,
[2:00:17] Speaker 1: and also from Look at the Trees, Great Name says,
[2:00:20] Speaker 1: what are your thoughts on the contradictions in first Timothy
[2:00:22] Speaker 1: and second to Methy about David or his brother killing Glith.
[2:00:25] Speaker 1: I don't think you mean Timothy, uh so, I think
[2:00:30] Speaker 1: you mean Chronicles, So there's a between Samuel and Chronicles.
[2:00:32] Speaker 1: There's a contradiction about who killed David, and I agree
[2:00:38] Speaker 1: with it. Like Dan mcclun, I think it's just a
[2:00:40] Speaker 1: contradiction from a two different sources, and that's all there
[2:00:44] Speaker 1: is to it. You could say it's a scribal error,
[2:00:47] Speaker 1: possible could be a scribble air, but no matter how
[2:00:50] Speaker 1: it got there, it is in fact a contradiction. Just
[2:00:53] Speaker 1: look up the contradiction of who killed Gliath between Chronicles
[2:00:56] Speaker 1: and Samuel if you want to know more. Randy sent
[2:00:58] Speaker 1: out ten DZY memberships. Big W, Randy, super appreciate that,
[2:01:03] Speaker 1: my friend. Great to see you tonight, and Chief snack
[2:01:06] Speaker 1: with a six one six Hail Nero says Balem could
[2:01:09] Speaker 1: have made a fortune with his donkey. Oh my god,
[2:01:11] Speaker 1: could you imagine if if the donkey continued to speak
[2:01:15] Speaker 1: the Hebrew language after the event, if he just never
[2:01:18] Speaker 1: stopped talking, Oh, it would a million. It would totally
[2:01:22] Speaker 1: turn into a Shrek situation. I'd love to see it.
[2:01:25] Speaker 1: And Noah's lyons, my friend, good to see you. Thank
[2:01:28] Speaker 1: you for the four ninety nine, says signed a sheaf
[2:01:30] Speaker 1: of papers today on a new house. Hmm, big w.
[2:01:34] Speaker 1: I'm happy for you. Praise Doug for the permission to
[2:01:37] Speaker 1: live the American dream without a toxic spouse. Hail Doug.
[2:01:42] Speaker 1: Doug is rock hard for you. He is the cornerstone
[2:01:46] Speaker 1: of your new house. He is the foundation. I hope
[2:01:49] Speaker 1: you enjoy it. If you have any questions, let me know.
[2:01:53] Speaker 1: I've been a seasoned a season home repairer for quite
[2:01:58] Speaker 1: some time, So big w for you. Also, Peter says,
[2:02:02] Speaker 1: second attempt at humor. I once heard a rabbi say
[2:02:05] Speaker 1: there's only one God. A Well, we'll talk about it.
[2:02:08] Speaker 1: One rabbi, two opinions, great stream. Actually, if you know
[2:02:15] Speaker 1: anything about the Jewish rabbis, it's that they don't agree
[2:02:18] Speaker 1: on anything. That's That's the one thing they can agree on,
[2:02:21] Speaker 1: is that they don't agree on anything. That's that's the
[2:02:24] Speaker 1: case of the matter. And Doug says, Christianity failing miserably
[2:02:27] Speaker 1: for two thousand years in counting. Actually, that's that's the
[2:02:31] Speaker 1: fact of the matter. Christianity has been failing the entire time.
[2:02:35] Speaker 1: It's not doing a good job. They're not winning, they're
[2:02:38] Speaker 1: not being successful. Also, Visible seldom, says Phil Brows use
[2:02:42] Speaker 1: a slow, monotone voice to artificially lower their voice and
[2:02:47] Speaker 1: ensure they get listened to for more of the conversation
[2:02:50] Speaker 1: because they take longer. It's a psychological power move to them. Interesting,
[2:02:56] Speaker 1: I never thought about that, actually, so it is. It's
[2:02:59] Speaker 1: a power move. Basically, they're forcing you to listen to them.
[2:03:02] Speaker 1: I don't know if that works for me, Like if
[2:03:05] Speaker 1: like I'm gonna listen to them, but like if I
[2:03:09] Speaker 1: can't hear you, I'm just gonna cut you off the
[2:03:11] Speaker 1: stream and move on. Pat Pat says the crash out
[2:03:15] Speaker 1: from a guy cussing anti Semitic slur, isn't that crazy
[2:03:19] Speaker 1: that he came up here thinking that was gonna be
[2:03:21] Speaker 1: Jesus's bidding? Crazy. Peter says after that guy, I have
[2:03:25] Speaker 1: to say, screw anti Semitism. I agree, Listen, I don't
[2:03:29] Speaker 1: approve of what Israel is doing, but an anti semitism
[2:03:33] Speaker 1: is not the same thing as saying I don't like
[2:03:35] Speaker 1: what their government is doing. That's like blaming white people
[2:03:38] Speaker 1: for what the American government is doing. Not how that works. Demon,
[2:03:42] Speaker 1: Thank you so much for the supertest, says hey, Justin.
[2:03:44] Speaker 1: I've really enjoyed going through your backlog of videos. Thanks
[2:03:47] Speaker 1: for all you do and praise Doug. Make all the
[2:03:49] Speaker 1: gods look like shit. That's what I'm trying to do. Actually, Demon,
[2:03:53] Speaker 1: thank you so much for being here and for watching,
[2:03:55] Speaker 1: and remember like and share when you watch the videos
[2:03:58] Speaker 1: to get me out in the algorithm. Friends and Magic says.
[2:04:01] Speaker 1: Different denominations is like how each house has their own
[2:04:04] Speaker 1: UNO rules. Christians are like, thanks for the book, but
[2:04:09] Speaker 1: we'll take it from here. This is a million percent.
[2:04:12] Speaker 1: This happens not just in Uno, but in like Rook,
[2:04:15] Speaker 1: in other card games. When I grew up playing Rook,
[2:04:19] Speaker 1: but when I went to play with the Mennonites, the
[2:04:22] Speaker 1: Mennonites always had different rules and sometimes they cheated. The
[2:04:25] Speaker 1: Mennonites would cheap playing Rook. Hammond says, it's kind of
[2:04:28] Speaker 1: frustrating that the Koran or the Hadith do much. It's
[2:04:32] Speaker 1: kind of frustrating that the Koran or the Hadiths do
[2:04:35] Speaker 1: get much scholarly in quest. Yeah, I agree with you.
[2:04:38] Speaker 1: It's weird that anyone's looking at the Koran or the
[2:04:41] Speaker 1: Adith with a scholarly intent. But it's a religious book,
[2:04:44] Speaker 1: so you know they have to write like this. When
[2:04:46] Speaker 1: you're intelligent and you believe in religion, you have to
[2:04:49] Speaker 1: go to bat for it. And last one ten dollars
[2:04:51] Speaker 1: from your mom's favorite eighty seven big w great name says,
[2:04:54] Speaker 1: my third grandfather was born in eighteen sixty one and
[2:04:58] Speaker 1: died at ninety nine. In nineteen sixty he was a
[2:05:01] Speaker 1: slave till he was thirteen. So when I hear these
[2:05:03] Speaker 1: people defend biblical slavery, it pisses me all the way
[2:05:06] Speaker 1: off and that's the point. That's why we do these
[2:05:09] Speaker 1: slavery debates, is because the people that are affected by
[2:05:13] Speaker 1: slavery are still alive today. There are people alive today
[2:05:16] Speaker 1: that lived through Jim Crow. There are people alive today
[2:05:18] Speaker 1: that have parents and grandparents that were slaves. It's crazy
[2:05:22] Speaker 1: to think about. It wasn't that long ago, and yet
[2:05:26] Speaker 1: as a society we've moved on, We've determined that slavery
[2:05:29] Speaker 1: was wrong. We're gonna get David Campbell in here with
[2:05:33] Speaker 1: us from our YouTube. Q. How you doing, David?
[2:05:38] Speaker 10: All right?
[2:05:40] Speaker 1: You waited for a while, and sorry, the lineup's been
[2:05:42] Speaker 1: a while waiting to get in.
[2:05:44] Speaker 6: Shorter than I've said. I've cut off a few times
[2:05:47] Speaker 6: because it was longer. Right, Yeah, definitely shorter than I've
[2:05:50] Speaker 6: seen it before. And I'm glad to be here over eighteen.
[2:05:54] Speaker 6: I don't know if my face shows in the pick,
[2:05:55] Speaker 6: but definitely and definitely not a believer. It never happened,
[2:05:59] Speaker 6: never will. I didn't want to get your thoughts on
[2:06:02] Speaker 6: something because it's something I noticed in working on the
[2:06:06] Speaker 6: Afghanistan mission through the government, with uneducated people from the
[2:06:11] Speaker 6: past writing these books. They rely heavily on counts and numbers,
[2:06:16] Speaker 6: and I know a lot of the Afghan people, whatever
[2:06:20] Speaker 6: it was, if they described a large force of people
[2:06:23] Speaker 6: in the valley, they would say like, oh, there's twenty
[2:06:26] Speaker 6: thousand Americans, there's fifty thousand Americans, and there could have
[2:06:29] Speaker 6: been eighty.
[2:06:31] Speaker 10: Yeah, how do you feel about that? And these old
[2:06:34] Speaker 10: texts and everybody who relies on the number forty so much,
[2:06:37] Speaker 10: for instance, that's known to in a lot of cases
[2:06:39] Speaker 10: just mean a lot.
[2:06:41] Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, so the big numbers in the text. To me,
[2:06:46] Speaker 1: I think there are some times where the numbers are
[2:06:49] Speaker 1: clearly meant to be taken in like a metaphorical sense.
[2:06:53] Speaker 1: I think that is the case sometimes, but I think
[2:06:56] Speaker 1: there are more occasions where they're literal numbers. And I'll
[2:07:00] Speaker 1: give you an example, like if you're in the Book
[2:07:02] Speaker 1: of Numbers and they're telling you how many of the
[2:07:06] Speaker 1: Gershonites there were and how many of the Khorites were there.
[2:07:11] Speaker 1: They're not round numbers, they're not numbers that have any
[2:07:13] Speaker 1: real meaning. They appear to be actual numbers doing accounting,
[2:07:20] Speaker 1: and so we do get a lot of that. Now,
[2:07:23] Speaker 1: the other question as to like when we're talking about, well,
[2:07:26] Speaker 1: how many people did they kill or how many people
[2:07:29] Speaker 1: went to battle. I think that's where you get probably
[2:07:32] Speaker 1: what used to be real numbers, but now they're inflated numbers.
[2:07:36] Speaker 1: We see that even in like the Babylonian literature, we'll
[2:07:39] Speaker 1: see that they overestimate the amount of people they killed,
[2:07:43] Speaker 1: or they'll they'll tell the story from a grandiose vision.
[2:07:47] Speaker 1: So like when it talks about how they knocked down
[2:07:49] Speaker 1: the wall of Jerusalem and marched into the city, it
[2:07:52] Speaker 1: says that the opposing army fell back because of the
[2:07:55] Speaker 1: radiance of the king. The fuck they did. They didn't
[2:07:58] Speaker 1: fall backwards because of the king's exactly. So there's obviously
[2:08:04] Speaker 1: some embellishment happening. How much is hard to know.
[2:08:10] Speaker 10: Yeah, I guess my thing is always like what's the accuracy?
[2:08:15] Speaker 6: Because I know, in modern times to Afghans and we're
[2:08:19] Speaker 6: dealing with Iraq a lot of a lot of times
[2:08:21] Speaker 6: the Iraqis were just like, at best a guesstimate and
[2:08:25] Speaker 6: most times just an incredulously large.
[2:08:29] Speaker 10: Number that nobody could express.
[2:08:31] Speaker 6: So a lot of people read the book and are like, oh,
[2:08:34] Speaker 6: this many thousand, and that many thousand, this many thousands.
[2:08:36] Speaker 10: Like you got to take that all over the asault
[2:08:39] Speaker 10: Like even today people don't know counting.
[2:08:43] Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, I agree with you. When you read the
[2:08:45] Speaker 1: numbers in the Bible, they're preposterous. For example, it says
[2:08:50] Speaker 1: there were six hundred and like thirteen thousand fighting men
[2:08:53] Speaker 1: that left Egypt in the Book of Numbers, and it
[2:08:57] Speaker 1: gets repeated elsewhere, and that means like two and half
[2:09:00] Speaker 1: million Hebrews that came out of Egypt. That's preposterous. The
[2:09:03] Speaker 1: entire population of Egypt wasn't even that much during a
[2:09:05] Speaker 1: time period, right if that so? Like obviously the numbers,
[2:09:10] Speaker 1: like most scholars will say, listen, these numbers are in
[2:09:12] Speaker 1: here because at the time the text was written, they
[2:09:15] Speaker 1: were a much bigger people group. They had millions of people, right,
[2:09:18] Speaker 1: So they're projecting their own idea of what the Israeli
[2:09:21] Speaker 1: society was like based on what it's like now. The
[2:09:25] Speaker 1: same reason why ancient depictions of Jesus from the Asian
[2:09:29] Speaker 1: countries have Asian looking Jesus, right, because you're always projecting
[2:09:33] Speaker 1: your own culture back onto history.
[2:09:38] Speaker 6: Awesome, Well, that's the one thing I wanted to hit.
[2:09:40] Speaker 6: And a lot of friendly voices. I want to hear
[2:09:43] Speaker 6: you do more cooking. Congratulations on going full time. I
[2:09:46] Speaker 6: may have to quit my job now just so I
[2:09:47] Speaker 6: can watch it every day.
[2:09:49] Speaker 1: Thanks David, I appreciate it. I have a great one
[2:09:54] Speaker 1: you too, Big dubs for Big Dubs for David. Yeah,
[2:10:00] Speaker 1: the numbers are in the Bible are preposterous. Also, I
[2:10:03] Speaker 1: did a calculation, like if you're if there's two and
[2:10:06] Speaker 1: a half million of you in the desert and you
[2:10:08] Speaker 1: have like a one foot radius between you and the
[2:10:10] Speaker 1: next person, you're gonna take up an area of it
[2:10:15] Speaker 1: was like nineteen miles. It was something stupid, So like, no, No,
[2:10:20] Speaker 1: do I believe that nineteen miles worth of people were
[2:10:24] Speaker 1: just migrating shoulder to shoulder through the desert. No, it's preposterous.
[2:10:28] Speaker 1: Nineteen miles worth of people drank from one rock that
[2:10:32] Speaker 1: water came out of. No, that's preposterous. Think about when
[2:10:36] Speaker 1: there's a hurricane in a city that's got a couple
[2:10:38] Speaker 1: million people, how quickly do they get out? Do they
[2:10:42] Speaker 1: get out of very quick? No? Obviously not, not even
[2:10:43] Speaker 1: with modern technology. Millions two million people aren't crossing a
[2:10:48] Speaker 1: river no matter how wide that thing is parted, they're
[2:10:51] Speaker 1: gonna fuck it completely up. Anyways, gh says Haidasa, one
[2:10:57] Speaker 1: hundred percent too busy writing you into her next hot novel,
[2:11:00] Speaker 1: A Million Percent. If you haven't read Hadasa's spicy novels, listen,
[2:11:05] Speaker 1: I recommend it. I recommend it. Get the books. And Gene,
[2:11:09] Speaker 1: thank you for the ten dollars Supertesty's Christian citing reality
[2:11:12] Speaker 1: as evidence for their God is spiritual equivalent of that
[2:11:15] Speaker 1: one m effort getting credit on the group project despite
[2:11:18] Speaker 1: not doing anything one of the more irksome claims. Actually, Gene,
[2:11:22] Speaker 1: I agree with you. I hate it when people say that,
[2:11:24] Speaker 1: and I've come to the conclusion that when I get
[2:11:26] Speaker 1: idiots like that, I'm going to reverse it and I'm
[2:11:29] Speaker 1: going to say no, I have proof that atheism is true.
[2:11:33] Speaker 1: And when they ask me what the proof is, I'm
[2:11:34] Speaker 1: gonna say, you exist. You can use it for everything.
[2:11:37] Speaker 1: I have proof that evolution is true. Well, wa'ts that proof?
[2:11:40] Speaker 1: Will you exist? You can just use the same bullshit
[2:11:42] Speaker 1: argument back on them. They have nothing to say about it.
[2:11:45] Speaker 1: And Wilfred thank you for the five dollars supertest says
[2:11:47] Speaker 1: I feel that last caller, I lost my lady of
[2:11:49] Speaker 1: twenty five years. I'm sorry to hear that, because she
[2:11:52] Speaker 1: gave her life to this bullshit plus religion. But I'll
[2:11:55] Speaker 1: praise Doug Well Wilfrid. I'm sorry that you lost your
[2:11:59] Speaker 1: love one to this toxic religion, but we got your back.
[2:12:04] Speaker 1: We got your back. I mean, unfortunately, this kind of
[2:12:06] Speaker 1: the stuff happens, and unfortunately happens a lot. But you're
[2:12:10] Speaker 1: not alone, my friend. And Brazerk says, I think some
[2:12:13] Speaker 1: apologists probably knows it's not true. Oh yeah, for sure,
[2:12:17] Speaker 1: Like Ravi zacharais, Listen, when you read these apologists that
[2:12:20] Speaker 1: are secretly like having affairs with women, they're doing it
[2:12:23] Speaker 1: because they know it's bullshit, and they're like, I just
[2:12:25] Speaker 1: don't want to get caught skepticues. Thank you for the
[2:12:28] Speaker 1: nine ninety nine super chat, he says, post Christianity, we
[2:12:30] Speaker 1: can be more temperate also, as we no longer have
[2:12:33] Speaker 1: now shout not looming over our heads, creating an artificial
[2:12:37] Speaker 1: interest in the forbidden, The forbidden owns of mind. This
[2:12:40] Speaker 1: is such a good point, And I've had this conversation
[2:12:43] Speaker 1: with a lot of people inside and outside of the
[2:12:47] Speaker 1: cult when we're talking about like lust and different things
[2:12:51] Speaker 1: like that. The reason why so many people get hung
[2:12:54] Speaker 1: up on this kind of bullshit is because it's forbidden.
[2:12:58] Speaker 1: They can't have it Like. I had a good friend
[2:13:00] Speaker 1: named Joe. His mother was Italian. She let him drink
[2:13:03] Speaker 1: wine growing up. So when when a lot of our
[2:13:05] Speaker 1: friends turned got got older and they lost their minds
[2:13:09] Speaker 1: when they were allowed to drink, Joe's like, why I've
[2:13:12] Speaker 1: been drinking since I was like fourteen. What's a big deal? Right?
[2:13:15] Speaker 1: So the reason why people are bound up in these
[2:13:18] Speaker 1: sexual desires and they can't think of anything else is
[2:13:21] Speaker 1: because it's just a forbidden fruit. It's just a clear
[2:13:23] Speaker 1: psychological problem. Once you're on the other side of that,
[2:13:26] Speaker 1: you're you're like, oh, it's not all that exciting. I
[2:13:29] Speaker 1: guess I'll just go eat a bowl cereal now. Aeris
[2:13:32] Speaker 1: thank you for the two hour Supergest says justin cook
[2:13:34] Speaker 1: top G. Well done, thanks from chat. I don't know
[2:13:37] Speaker 1: who top G is, but you know me. I'm going
[2:13:39] Speaker 1: to cook everyone I can. My friend and Zizi says,
[2:13:43] Speaker 1: as you deconstruct, stay away from Christian apologists moral framework,
[2:13:46] Speaker 1: it's subjective. Get into philosophy and the sciences. D rock
[2:13:50] Speaker 1: Hard dug god Well, listen, I did finally get some
[2:13:55] Speaker 1: philosophy for books. Now that I'm going to have time
[2:13:57] Speaker 1: and I'm going to bone up on some philosophy. I
[2:14:00] Speaker 1: promise you I'm gonna get their dad and pall. Thank
[2:14:02] Speaker 1: you for the ten hour supercha, he says, I blame
[2:14:04] Speaker 1: pseudo intellectuals like Jay Dyer and Darthawkins for making the
[2:14:07] Speaker 1: next generation of intelerant phil bros pre suppers. We have
[2:14:10] Speaker 1: to grill on the constant basis. Actually, so pile. This
[2:14:14] Speaker 1: is a good point because one of the reasons why
[2:14:17] Speaker 1: I make my stream so intently focused on the text,
[2:14:21] Speaker 1: because I don't give a damn if you can justify
[2:14:24] Speaker 1: some bullshit deistic god through a prime mover argument, the
[2:14:28] Speaker 1: god of this book, that God is bullshit. He's bullshit
[2:14:32] Speaker 1: and can't You can't convince me otherwise because I've got
[2:14:35] Speaker 1: the facts. Last one, doctor Pizza, thank you so much
[2:14:38] Speaker 1: for the twenty hours super chat. A big w my friend,
[2:14:41] Speaker 1: he says. The more I learned about modern cults and
[2:14:42] Speaker 1: the more I understand how a small cult was always
[2:14:45] Speaker 1: taken over by a charismatic leader who goes against the
[2:14:47] Speaker 1: foundations of the group. Paul was just David Koresh minus
[2:14:52] Speaker 1: Janet Reno. A million percent, A million percent, that's a
[2:14:57] Speaker 1: million percent. What happened Jesus was a failed cult leader,
[2:15:01] Speaker 1: an apocalyptic End Times preacher that made predictions and got
[2:15:05] Speaker 1: it wrong. Welcome in, Max, Max, Hello, Max, Yes you
[2:15:14] Speaker 1: hear me? Yeah, I can hear you. How you doing, Max?
[2:15:17] Speaker 3: Good?
[2:15:17] Speaker 2: How you doing?
[2:15:18] Speaker 1: Doug?
[2:15:18] Speaker 2: Nice?
[2:15:18] Speaker 8: Nice to meet you, man.
[2:15:19] Speaker 3: I appreciate you all letting me in.
[2:15:21] Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks for being her Max. Are you at least
[2:15:23] Speaker 1: eight seedon? Are you a believer?
[2:15:25] Speaker 3: I am at least eighteen, and yes I am a believer.
[2:15:27] Speaker 8: I just want to say to the other day I
[2:15:29] Speaker 8: was on.
[2:15:30] Speaker 2: I waited I.
[2:15:31] Speaker 3: Think about three maybe four hours when you had I
[2:15:33] Speaker 3: think was a prophet Daniel.
[2:15:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, I was waiting.
[2:15:41] Speaker 3: I was like, man, how long is you gonna spit
[2:15:42] Speaker 3: on this guy? But I waited and then you ended
[2:15:45] Speaker 3: it and I was like, ah, man, so I'm glad.
[2:15:47] Speaker 1: Sorry about that. I knew profit was come to come
[2:15:52] Speaker 1: through because he's been yapping about me on other live
[2:15:54] Speaker 1: streams for like the past month.
[2:15:57] Speaker 5: I saw that.
[2:15:57] Speaker 3: I went to his page and looked at a couple
[2:15:59] Speaker 3: of videos after you. He's kind of, I don't want
[2:16:01] Speaker 3: to say obsessed with you, but he's kind of obsessed
[2:16:03] Speaker 3: with you a little bit.
[2:16:04] Speaker 1: There's a lot about like Christian apologists right now that
[2:16:08] Speaker 1: are just obsessed with me. And the reason is because,
[2:16:12] Speaker 1: like I'm being very specific about their religion. Right, If
[2:16:16] Speaker 1: you just attack the God concept in general, you can
[2:16:19] Speaker 1: let it go, but when you attack their specific religion,
[2:16:22] Speaker 1: it becomes more personal. So I understand why they they're
[2:16:25] Speaker 1: offended by me.
[2:16:26] Speaker 3: Can I on that saying?
[2:16:27] Speaker 6: No?
[2:16:28] Speaker 8: Can I ask you a question of why?
[2:16:30] Speaker 3: Why why do you spend more time trying to debunk
[2:16:34] Speaker 3: the abra you know, the God or the Jews and
[2:16:37] Speaker 3: Christians more so than the other I was sure if
[2:16:39] Speaker 3: somebody'd asked you this before, but I would just like
[2:16:42] Speaker 3: to hear why you spend more time on Christian you know,
[2:16:47] Speaker 3: the Christian guy more so than the other gods?
[2:16:49] Speaker 1: Well, I think the primary reason. So when I first
[2:16:51] Speaker 1: started streaming, it was mostly just a Christian deconstruction stream
[2:16:55] Speaker 1: because that's my background, that's what I know, and people
[2:17:01] Speaker 1: I think are best in discussions when they're talking about
[2:17:04] Speaker 1: what they know and not what they don't know, which
[2:17:06] Speaker 1: is why I wouldn't get on and do like a
[2:17:09] Speaker 1: science live stream. I know some science, but I'm not
[2:17:12] Speaker 1: a science guy, right, So that's where was my starting
[2:17:15] Speaker 1: point was. I want to talk about the thing I
[2:17:16] Speaker 1: know the best, but I've since expanded it to the
[2:17:20] Speaker 1: other religions because I think I can competently discuss those
[2:17:23] Speaker 1: religions as well, just not to the same extent as Christianity.
[2:17:27] Speaker 1: But that being said, on the concept of God and atheism,
[2:17:31] Speaker 1: I just debate who's ever in the box. So if
[2:17:34] Speaker 1: I get a Hindu in the box, I'll debate against
[2:17:36] Speaker 1: the Hindu God.
[2:17:38] Speaker 6: Right.
[2:17:38] Speaker 3: I've seen you debate against Muslims too, so I okay,
[2:17:42] Speaker 3: And I am new to your channel. I've only been
[2:17:44] Speaker 3: watching for about maybe two weeks, but I'll find your
[2:17:47] Speaker 3: channel very interesting. It's funny a lot too, Like I
[2:17:50] Speaker 3: was smender by a lot of times, just laughing. It's funny,
[2:17:54] Speaker 3: but it.
[2:17:55] Speaker 1: Is kind of fun, to be honest, I never imagined
[2:17:58] Speaker 1: that I could get up and have this kind of
[2:18:00] Speaker 1: fun and then like turn it into something that is
[2:18:04] Speaker 1: like could be a career of some nature. It's pretty wild,
[2:18:08] Speaker 1: but like to be honest, like it's it's a service too,
[2:18:11] Speaker 1: you know, like when I was when I was in ministry,
[2:18:14] Speaker 1: like me being a pastor, I was paid to provide
[2:18:18] Speaker 1: that service, to be a minister, right, And so now
[2:18:21] Speaker 1: I'm basically doing the same thing. I'm I'm a missionary
[2:18:24] Speaker 1: for atheism.
[2:18:26] Speaker 3: Well questions, what what what do you say cause you
[2:18:33] Speaker 3: to go into the ministry and how did that get lost?
[2:18:39] Speaker 1: Sure? Good question. So I initially went into the ministry accidentally.
[2:18:44] Speaker 1: So I was when I converted to Christianity, I was
[2:18:48] Speaker 1: all in, although I won't also the way say convert.
[2:18:51] Speaker 1: I don't know if converts the right word for it,
[2:18:52] Speaker 1: because I always kind of believed. I guess when I
[2:18:55] Speaker 1: had my born again experience and I became like an
[2:18:59] Speaker 1: active Christian, I was all in and I was dragging
[2:19:04] Speaker 1: all my.
[2:19:07] Speaker 7: Not you.
[2:19:09] Speaker 1: It's not you. So I was dragging all my friends
[2:19:12] Speaker 1: and family to church, and we got to the point where,
[2:19:14] Speaker 1: like you know, the majority of the youth group were
[2:19:16] Speaker 1: like my friends, and my youth pastor started like dragging
[2:19:22] Speaker 1: me into like leadership meetings, and eventually I became on
[2:19:25] Speaker 1: the leadership team. And I just so I kind of
[2:19:29] Speaker 1: got pulled into it because because of my connections, and
[2:19:33] Speaker 1: it just it just happened to work out that way
[2:19:36] Speaker 1: that I enjoyed it. I liked being a ministry because
[2:19:38] Speaker 1: I felt like it was an avenue that I could
[2:19:41] Speaker 1: help people, and so anyways, that's that's what I thought.
[2:19:47] Speaker 1: Give me a second. My stream right now is lagging
[2:19:51] Speaker 1: on on YouTube. It looks like it's frozen. Is it
[2:19:55] Speaker 1: frozen on TikTok or just YouTube? Friends, because I'm looking
[2:19:58] Speaker 1: at it.
[2:20:00] Speaker 2: I'm I'm looking at it.
[2:20:01] Speaker 1: Yeah, give me one second to see what's happening here,
[2:20:05] Speaker 1: because you and I aren't frozen. No.
[2:20:08] Speaker 8: It looks like it's back up on my end, though,
[2:20:10] Speaker 8: but I be wrong.
[2:20:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really lagging right now. That's weird. I'm not
[2:20:16] Speaker 1: sure why it's doing that. I might have to restart
[2:20:19] Speaker 1: the stream it is on TikTok. TikTok's okay, okay, So
[2:20:25] Speaker 1: TikTok's not lagging, but YouTube is lagging. It's weird because
[2:20:28] Speaker 1: usually it's the other way around. Usually TikTok's lagging and
[2:20:33] Speaker 1: TikTok's not are YouTube. Yeah, okay, well, I see it.
[2:20:40] Speaker 1: It's choppy right now. So let's do this, Max. I'm
[2:20:44] Speaker 1: going to restart the stream. I'll be back in just
[2:20:47] Speaker 1: a minute. Guys. TikTok I was restarted on TikTok as well.
[2:20:53] Speaker 1: I haven't restarted my computer in like two weeks. I'm
[2:20:56] Speaker 1: just going to restart my whole computer, and then I'll
[2:20:58] Speaker 1: be right back five or ten minutes and we'll keep
[2:21:01] Speaker 1: the night rolling. Okay, friends, nice, all right, let's start
[2:21:04] Speaker 1: about that Max.
[2:21:05] Speaker 2: No problem, I understand
