## Transcript

[0:02] a listener production.
[0:05] I'm Bec Judd.
[0:06] And I'm Jess Roberts.
[0:07] And we're done with the smoke and mirrors.
[0:09] Fainish shares honest stories about what it takes to look amazing because we did not wake up like this.
[0:15] And you should know the stuff that we chat about on this podcast is based on our personal experiences.
[0:21] We're sharing it for your entertainment.
[0:23] It's definitely not medical advice.
[0:26] And we'll always be clear with you when something is a paid endorsement.
[0:29] Please always chat with your qualified healthcare team before making any decisions about your health.
[0:49] Okay, let's do this.
[0:52] Drop the beat.
[0:54] Hi there, it's Bekjad and welcome to Vanish.
[0:58] We have a very special guest on today and given it is booby month, we thought how perfect is this gal to come on and tell us about her experiences.
[1:09] She is a Melbourne-based entrepreneur, sometimes...
[1:13] Sometimes regional Geelong based.
[1:17] She can correct me after I've introduced her.
[1:20] Entrepreneur, mum of three and just all time fun, nice, down to earth is probably the biggest adjective that we hear when we are talking about Emma Hawkins.
[1:35] Welcome to Vanish.
[1:36] Oh, thank you.
[1:37] I love how real you keep it.
[1:39] Like you're just so down to earth and funny and smart.
[1:43] Aw, thanks, babes.
[1:44] Yeah, you are.
[1:46] Thank you.
[1:46] I don't know if it's like, I guess you can't try and be down to earth.
[1:52] You just are.
[1:53] You're just a humble lass.
[1:55] Or just like.
[1:56] You're just not a wanker.
[1:57] I just don't give as much time into things maybe that I should, so it comes across like that.
[2:05] When I said regional Geelong,
[2:07] Talk to me about the farm.
[2:09] Where was it exactly?
[2:09] I have been there.
[2:11] Yeah.
[2:11] I have been there.
[2:11] It's at the back of Geelong.
[2:13] Ten minutes out of Geelong.
[2:14] Which is, for those listening around the world, is about an hour and a half out of Melbourne.
[2:19] Yep.
[2:19] Regional city.
[2:20] Yes.
[2:21] Yep.
[2:22] Biggest regional city in Australia, I think it is.
[2:24] Home of the Geelong Cats footy team, which Emma's husband is.
[2:28] How many games did he play for the Cats?
[2:30] I remember there was a lot.
[2:31] A lot.
[2:31] It was like a festival of Tom for a long time there.
[2:33] That last year was like the John Farnham tour.
[2:36] It was.
[2:36] Because he was breaking games records and goals records and then retiring all at the same time.
[2:40] I'm like, this is enough.
[2:42] I was like Ticketmaster or Ticketek.
[2:43] I was like, eh.
[2:45] Another one.
[2:46] Wrap this shit up, Tommy boy.
[2:47] Wrap it up.
[2:47] Yeah, we got a life to live.
[2:49] We got to go to Europe.
[2:50] Yeah.
[2:50] How good's that first Europe summer after hubby retires from football?
[2:55] Because usually football is June, July, which is when all the Aussies go and travel.
[3:00] But when you're a wag, there's no Euro summer.
[3:02] You're the sacrifices.
[3:04] Yeah.
[3:05] Do you know what?
[3:06] I never knew about school holidays.
[3:09] So when the kids started in kinder and every school holidays, the other moms would be like, oh, where are you going over the next couple of weeks?
[3:19] I'm like, nowhere.
[3:20] Why?
[3:20] What's happening?
[3:20] Yeah, what are you doing for the long weekend?
[3:22] They're like, well, there's school holidays.
[3:23] I'm like, what?
[3:23] I'm not bringing Oscar back to school on Monday.
[3:25] They're like, no, no, there's two weeks school holidays.
[3:27] And I'd say to the teacher, I'm like, oh, no.
[3:29] So schools are off for two weeks.
[3:30] She's like, yeah.
[3:31] And everyone else is planned all these holidays.
[3:34] And I'm just in full AFL work mode.
[3:35] Same with long weekend.
[3:36] You're like, I didn't know it was a public holiday.
[3:39] What Easter?
[3:40] No, from like end of March to September, it's pretty much like Monday to Friday.
[3:45] It's like Monday to Sunday.
[3:46] It's like you are locked in and there is no holidays, no fun.
[3:51] Tom did his first Noosa school holiday.
[3:55] Noosa.
[3:55] Grace Linney's like, Jesus Christ.
[3:57] It's like we're never coming back here again on school.
[3:59] I'm like if you thought Noosa was busy like in the off season.
[4:03] Welcome to school holidays.
[4:04] We love Noosa.
[4:05] We love Noosa.
[4:07] But I don't ever want to go there again on school holidays.
[4:09] I feel like Noosa is where take your kids when they're seven and under and then you can have a break from it and then bring them back when they're teenagers and can be independent with it.
[4:18] And bypass the school holidays.
[4:20] But you're bringing this all to Broome.
[4:21] You're converting everyone over to Broome.
[4:23] Are you going to come to Broome with us?
[4:24] Well, my sister moves to Perth at the end of the year, so...
[4:27] So good.
[4:27] You've got to come.
[4:28] It's the best direct flight.
[4:29] Book it now.
[4:31] If Qantas has a sale, you've got to jump on those bloody broom flights because they're so expensive.
[4:35] If you're listening to any airlines out there or Tourism WA, Tourism Australia...
[4:40] Let's help Broome out because we can't be having these ridiculously priced direct flights to Broome that are more expensive than flying to Europe.
[4:48] Like honestly, so dumb.
[4:49] Because we looked at last year and you sent us all the tips and I was like, oh, good God.
[4:53] Yeah, 2,000 return for a three and a half hour flight.
[4:57] The back of a 737 in the back row near the Dunnies.
[4:59] Sorry.
[5:00] I can go to London Heathrow for less than that.
[5:03] I know, right?
[5:04] Not in the back row.
[5:06] It's a lot, yeah.
[5:07] It's a lot.
[5:07] But, yes, you've got to get to broob.
[5:10] We digress.
[5:11] We digress.
[5:13] So we will get into boobs.
[5:15] I love saying boobs.
[5:16] Boobs.
[5:17] Boobs.
[5:17] It's been a booby time.
[5:18] I've been nonstop talking about boobs and I've loved it.
[5:20] It's been the best month.
[5:22] But walk us through a normal day for you.
[5:26] What do beauty and wellness look like day to day?
[5:30] And I know it's different.
[5:32] Like a farm Emma versus Melbourne Emma because you've got a place in Melbourne now.
[5:37] Yes.
[5:38] City version is very different to farm version because the access to things in the city.
[5:43] Like today I've got my hair done.
[5:45] Your hair looks great.
[5:46] Who did that?
[5:47] Zara.
[5:47] Zara.
[5:48] But it's either zero or I wouldn't even say 100 for me.
[5:51] Zero to hero.
[5:51] Like 50 if we're doing well.
[5:54] No, that's a lie.
[5:55] That's a lie.
[5:57] It's just like I'm not getting up and having all my supplements and meditating in the morning and then putting on skincare in the morning.
[6:04] And it's either my hair is done or then it's just not for two weeks and then one day it's just like I feel like since moving to Melbourne or just in general anyone that follows me on Instagram sees me in the wild and they're like, blah, blah.
[6:18] Put a filter on yourself.
[6:19] No, they do not.
[6:20] But it's just very like, I just don't give a lot of time as much as I should during the week.
[6:26] But I'm also a contradiction because I'm happy to throw money and try everything.
[6:31] I know.
[6:31] When you move to Melbourne, you're like, give me a black book.
[6:34] Who's everyone I need to see?
[6:35] Like Tom came home the other day and there's an energy healer in the house.
[6:38] Oh my God, who?
[6:39] Who?
[6:40] Oh, what was her name?
[6:41] Sharon.
[6:42] No.
[6:42] I called her Sharon the other day.
[6:44] It wasn't your girl.
[6:45] It's Sharon.
[6:46] And I'm like, that is the nicest pronunciation of that name.
[6:50] Sharon.
[6:51] Oh, she's rebranded.
[6:52] Sharon.
[6:53] She's rebranded.
[6:54] It's so good.
[6:54] So who did you have?
[6:55] Oh.
[6:56] I can't remember her name, but Tom walked through the house.
[6:58] He's like, what the fuck?
[7:00] He's like, she's like, I've moved the old man over.
[7:03] And he's like, great.
[7:04] And then in the second week of being in Melbourne, I'm like, I'm off to acupuncture.
[7:07] I'm off to raking.
[7:08] Tom's like, oh my God.
[7:10] Wow.
[7:11] So hang on.
[7:11] So Tom got the healer or you got the healer?
[7:13] I did, but he walked in the door and didn't know what I was doing.
[7:16] And he's like, there's this lady with sticks.
[7:19] And he's like, what the fuck?
[7:21] Mine has a crystal sword, a crystal sword.
[7:24] And then I got to...
[7:25] at killing demons.
[7:27] It's just like, I'm such a good, I'll give zero fucks in certain areas, but then I'm like, this Reiki healer, she moved so much of my energy.
[7:35] Like I feel amazing.
[7:37] It's like, whatever, whatever's working.
[7:40] Yeah.
[7:40] But you know what, what I will say about these energy healers is I feel the difference.
[7:45] Maybe it's placebo, maybe it's not, but I feel the heaviness in a space where I'm on my chest.
[7:50] I feel like I can't breathe and then they clear the energy and it's like,
[7:54] Oh, totally.
[7:55] The energy's moved on.
[7:56] Yeah.
[7:56] I think whatever works.
[7:57] I'm definitely not as cynical as that.
[7:59] Well, Tom's still very cynical.
[8:02] So is Chris.
[8:03] I'm like very much leaned into it.
[8:04] Because if it's working, great.
[8:06] Like I did somatic breath work.
[8:08] Like I'll try all of it.
[8:10] And then I'll like do it for two months.
[8:12] And then I'm like...
[8:13] I'm over that now.
[8:14] I'm to the next door.
[8:15] I'll buy like... ADHD.
[8:16] Yeah.
[8:17] I'm like, I'll buy the masks and the kneeling pins.
[8:19] I'm like, I did it twice.
[8:20] Done.
[8:21] We'll just sit, live in the drawer now forever.
[8:23] You know, it's so funny men being so stubborn about things, right?
[8:28] Even when it hits them in the face, they're still like, no, that didn't happen.
[8:32] So one night we were sitting on our bed and I said to Chris, I'm like, you know what?
[8:36] I...
[8:37] This sounds really like I'm not crazy.
[8:40] I have a science degree.
[8:42] I'm really smart.
[8:44] I get the scientific method and how it all works.
[8:46] But I was sitting here one day talking to a spirit on the bed and I said, in my head, if you're here, show me a sign.
[8:52] And the light literally next door to my head, the wall light, the sconce just started flashing on and off, on and off.
[8:58] Like it was talking to me, right?
[9:00] So I'm telling Chris the story.
[9:01] He's like, that didn't happen.
[9:02] That didn't happen.
[9:03] I'm like, babe, I'm telling you.
[9:04] We're sitting in my bed as I'm telling him.
[9:06] The lights were all off.
[9:07] I'm telling you this happened, right?
[9:09] And then the light above Chris's head just started flashing on and off and on and off.
[9:14] I said, look up.
[9:15] And he looked up.
[9:16] And I'm like, see what I mean?
[9:18] It's here.
[9:19] And he was like, no, no, no.
[9:20] That would have just been a coincidence.
[9:21] I'm like, mate.
[9:23] Look.
[9:24] It's literally.
[9:24] It's like an electrical problem.
[9:25] There's a little spirit here going, hi, I'm here.
[9:27] It never flashes.
[9:29] I sent Tom to like.
[9:30] my Reiki girl because he never does anything for himself.
[9:33] I'm like, I'm going to book you this Reiki experience.
[9:35] And then he gets up and I'm like, how do you feel?
[9:38] And he's like, she didn't touch me.
[9:40] I'm like, oh, it's not a massage.
[9:42] And he goes, she put something over my eyes and I think I just fell asleep.
[9:47] She could have been playing Candy Crush in the corner.
[9:49] She didn't do anything.
[9:51] I'm like, you'll feel it.
[9:52] Trust me.
[9:52] Like you'll feel.
[9:53] And did he?
[9:55] No.
[9:55] Even if he did, I don't know if he would admit it.
[9:57] Yeah, that's the thing, right?
[9:58] They just like, they kind of ignore and they park it.
[10:02] They don't want to process it because it's woo-woo.
[10:04] So do you do the Reiki thing a lot?
[10:08] What energy healing stuff do you do apart from the lady in the house and the sound bath and the Reiki?
[10:14] I've seen an astrologist.
[10:15] Oh, I've seen an astrologist.
[10:17] Yeah.
[10:18] What do they do?
[10:18] Like, what's your star sign?
[10:20] Aries, but you've got to know where you're born.
[10:23] I called my mom and I'm like, what time was I born?
[10:26] She couldn't find any evidence of what time.
[10:28] She's like, I think it was in the morning, the waters.
[10:31] But again...
[10:33] I think a lot of the, whether it's journaling or astrologists or mediums, whatever you're doing with that, I think it's things you know internally or whether you're looking for just like a bit of confidence to either make a decision or like analyze like, okay, this is why I might be feeling this way.
[10:51] It's probably just making up a shitload of excuses.
[10:54] I'm like...
[10:55] The moon is in here, so I do need to rest.
[10:58] You know what?
[10:59] Sometimes when that moon comes in, it can fuck shit up.
[11:02] Let me tell you.
[11:03] And you know when like everyone's tech's just all breaking and nothing's working, the Dropbox link doesn't work and the oven's exploded and the pool pump's broken.
[11:10] It's just like, whoa, this all happened in the same day.
[11:13] It's a thing.
[11:13] And then everyone's got the same story.
[11:15] And then like your car keys aren't working all of a sudden.
[11:17] And then when you get someone to fix it,
[11:19] and they work on that day.
[11:20] It's like, you know, there's stuff that happens.
[11:22] But in terms of actual, like, wellness stuff, because I feel like I'm going to sound like an absolute nutcase.
[11:28] I'm like...
[11:29] I will always try and do a sauna.
[11:30] Like buying an infrared sauna was the best investment I've ever done.
[11:34] Especially when we're on the farm and it was like a thing I felt like I could do.
[11:37] Or if you're having a non-active day or just a shit day, it's like I feel like at least I can just go and sit in there and it's doing something.
[11:44] It's becoming like my little mental health box.
[11:48] Same.
[11:49] Do you take your phone in there?
[11:50] Yeah.
[11:51] I watch like… What do you watch in there, Real Housewives?
[11:55] Yeah.
[11:56] You're at the same sauna as me, yeah?
[11:58] Yeah.
[11:58] Gabby said she's the owner and she said, look, when you go in there, don't take your laptop in there.
[12:04] Don't take your phone in there.
[12:05] It's a place to like zen out even though there's a monitor in there.
[12:08] Netflix, Paramount, you can stream everything.
[12:10] So I'm either watching Netflix or I take my phone in until it overhears.
[12:14] Yeah, yeah.
[12:14] And I always wonder why my battery life is so bad.
[12:17] Can I just tell you, I get so much work done in there on my phone because it's a quiet box.
[12:21] It's like a little box.
[12:22] And actually, I know this might sound weird, but I feel like you're with me on this.
[12:27] People go, don't take your phone in there.
[12:28] You're meant to zen out.
[12:29] Me in there on my phone getting heaps of shit done is me zenning out.
[12:33] Couldn't agree more.
[12:34] Yeah.
[12:35] And it's something about being in a box where I feel I don't get distracted as much or the quietness.
[12:40] So I'll try and do a sauna when I can and then...
[12:43] I'm like trying to exercise as much as anyone can.
[12:46] But the difference for me is that the kids have gotten a bit older and...
[12:50] sleep has become such an issue for me, like with insomnia in the last few years, it's flicking the switch of like, you know, when you've got babies or you're in different seasons and you look at other people's wellnesses and what they're doing and you're like, oh, that's what I need to do to feel good.
[13:04] And it's like, actually, that doesn't work for me.
[13:06] Like being in a sauna without your phone.
[13:09] So I feel like it's been really trial and error and finding things that work for me and
[13:14] flicking the switch of like, this is not selfish to do wellness things, whether it's Reiki or getting a lymphatic massage or doing a bath, like whatever it is, it's like I actually need this for my mental health and to put myself in the best position to sleep tonight.
[13:29] So I feel like a lot of my wellness decisions externally is...
[13:33] Flicking that switch of being like, okay, even if I haven't had time to exercise during the day, I'll just get on the Peloton and go for a walk for 20 minutes.
[13:41] So in my mind, I'm like, I've done it.
[13:43] Yeah.
[13:43] I've put myself in the best position to have a good sleep tonight.
[13:46] Yeah.
[13:47] And then sometimes just tricking yourself into that is the thing that makes you sleep.
[13:50] Yeah.
[13:51] Yeah.
[13:52] Do you know what I do is so lazy, but it's so I can get the monkey off my back that, oh, you haven't exercised today.
[13:58] I will literally just do 1K on the treadmill.
[14:00] Yeah.
[14:00] That's it.
[14:01] Same.
[14:01] But I do it fast.
[14:02] And it's like five minutes.
[14:03] It's something.
[14:03] And I get, my heart rate gets up.
[14:05] I feel amazing afterwards.
[14:07] And it's been literally five minutes.
[14:09] But I'm done.
[14:10] So I did it this morning.
[14:11] I exercised today.
[14:12] How good was that?
[14:13] Totally.
[14:14] And you feel it's like I've done what I can to, like, give myself the best chance to, well, for me, it's like sleep is.
[14:21] Yeah.
[14:22] How many hours a night do you sleep?
[14:23] Yeah.
[14:25] I can function off three hours sleep, which is not healthy.
[14:27] And I can get myself into a real spiral.
[14:30] But this week's been really good.
[14:32] I actually got an aura.
[14:33] Is that what you call it?
[14:34] Aura ring, yeah.
[14:35] And I was nervous to get one because I'm like, it'll literally tell me to go to the hospital.
[14:39] Or I'd actually sometimes try and trick myself and be like, no, you didn't get three hours sleep.
[14:42] But it's been really good because even on bad night sleep, you can see, do you know what?
[14:47] You actually had enough deep sleep, whatever Remi's.
[14:49] I actually don't understand what it all means.
[14:51] But it's like a little person.
[14:52] You're like, do you know what?
[14:54] Yeah.
[14:54] Last night wasn't great.
[14:55] Yeah.
[14:55] But you've got this.
[14:56] And I'm like, okay, thanks.
[14:58] So it actually didn't spiral me as much as I thought it was.
[15:01] Yeah, it helped you with anything.
[15:01] It was like, yeah, you only had three hours, but it was a good three hours.
[15:04] You'll be okay.
[15:06] You'll be right.
[15:07] Gosh, sometimes that's all, it's just like rewriting the narrative, isn't it?
[15:10] Yeah.
[15:10] That gets you through.
[15:11] Yeah.
[15:12] What about, do you do like a Pilates or a hot Pilates?
[15:15] Do you play tennis?
[15:16] Do you, you play, actually you do play tennis.
[15:18] I've seen you play tennis.
[15:19] You've got a great forehand.
[15:20] That's about it.
[15:21] Do you ride horses?
[15:23] What physical activity do you do regularly?
[15:25] I kind of like mixing it up all the time.
[15:27] Like I'd love to get back into tennis more regularly because I'll just have a hit a few times a year.
[15:32] Now that you're in Melbourne, you should join a cardio tennis near you because there's a lot of good options around you.
[15:37] Yeah.
[15:37] Same with horse riding, if the opportunity presents.
[15:39] There's not a lot around inner city Melbourne for the horse riding boat.
[15:43] My middle child still, she's like, when's my horse coming?
[15:46] I'm like, what?
[15:48] I'll try I love hot Pilates and I'm now trying to do more strength workouts because that's what we're all meant to be doing yes I love mixing it up too like I would like to do a commitment like you know you do netball on Wednesday nights I'd love to be like I've got to
[16:03] Yeah.
[16:03] A team thing's fun.
[16:04] Yeah, I think I would like to do.
[16:06] And then I do it in cardio tennis.
[16:07] It's always with the same groups of ladies.
[16:09] So it's like, it's so social.
[16:11] I think it was when I moved to Geelong and Tom's like, you should join the local netball team.
[16:15] I'm like, why the fuck would I do that?
[16:17] He's like, that's how you meet people and you get involved.
[16:20] And I'm like, yeah, it is.
[16:22] But then he had this realisation, which for him was always a red flag.
[16:25] He's like, wait.
[16:25] Yeah.
[16:26] your sport like you did equestrian swimming tennis and i'm like like privileged sports he's like no individual yeah he's like oh he's like i don't trust people that do individual sports very different individual versus team sports but i feel like you're a team player though yeah i just don't want that pressure yeah and i'm not as competitive as i feel like you would be i'd be like oh don't worry about it but then everyone would be like come on emma
[16:51] Lift, you want to lift, Emma?
[16:52] That's yours, Emma.
[16:52] Let's go.
[16:53] Head up, Emma.
[16:54] It's Wednesday night.
[16:55] Like, don't worry about it, girls.
[16:57] Yeah, that's all right for D grade, but if you're playing A grade with us, sorry, it's not going to fly.
[17:04] We take it very seriously.
[17:06] It is funny though.
[17:07] I get this sense of like extreme nostalgia and like warmth.
[17:14] Like it warms my soul.
[17:15] It's like get delving into the inner child when I play netball.
[17:18] Yeah.
[17:19] So when they opened up this competition that I play,
[17:22] at this new facility, everyone jumped on and it's sold out and there's a huge waiting list.
[17:27] And it's all the mums who used to play when they were kids.
[17:30] And then they went off and they were young adults and they had their babies and now they've come back to it.
[17:35] It is so popular and we all love it so much.
[17:38] Even though our bodies can't do what our brains wish it could do, even though we're not as good as what we were when we're 15 years old.
[17:45] It's this sense of inner child and nostalgia that is
[17:48] actually addictive.
[17:49] Like it's my happy place when I'm running around.
[17:51] Totally.
[17:52] And I think like as you get older and busier and you forget how much you actually do love the community element of whatever that is and belonging.
[18:01] Yeah.
[18:02] You can have a million friends and a million work, but it's like this is your special thing that you have.
[18:07] And winning together or losing together or making big mistakes and...
[18:11] together.
[18:11] Totally.
[18:12] Or pull each other through in a close game.
[18:14] Oh, sport.
[18:15] We love it.
[18:16] Yay, sports.
[18:17] Yay, sports.
[18:17] Do you feel like that when you're doing your individual equestrian writing?
[18:21] Horses for me, Dev, like that is just therapy.
[18:23] I love horses.
[18:23] Like the smell of attack room, like the leather.
[18:26] Or even there's a hairspray that we used to use.
[18:30] On the horses?
[18:30] That's weird.
[18:30] Like on the horses and on us.
[18:31] Which one?
[18:32] L-Net?
[18:33] It's that...
[18:34] Wine in the supermarkets, it's like a pink bottle and a green bottle.
[18:36] It's been around forever.
[18:38] Pink Taft.
[18:39] Yeah, and it's just that smell.
[18:40] I think you need a Taft sponsorship, babe.
[18:42] But like smells like that.
[18:44] Or getting on the horse, because I'm such a fidgeter or find it hard to switch off.
[18:48] Like when you're on a horse or doing any sport, I guess, you're concentrating on other things.
[18:53] Yeah, you're in the moment.
[18:54] It's the same as when you're skiing, right?
[18:56] Yes.
[18:56] Or like if you're in a motorsport race, skiing like a horse.
[19:00] Like if you actually aren't mindful, if you're not in the moment, you can kill yourself.
[19:04] Yeah.
[19:05] Yeah, you can have an accident so quickly.
[19:06] You know when you zone out when you're skiing?
[19:09] When you start, your mind starts to wander.
[19:11] You hit an ice patch because you're not seeing it.
[19:12] It's the run home when you've switched off a bit.
[19:14] It's always, that happened to me in Threadbow recently.
[19:17] It was on a green run.
[19:18] It was flat as.
[19:19] It's always the.
[19:19] And I went flying through the air, smacked my head on a green run.
[19:24] I haven't fallen over.
[19:25] I have not fallen over on a ski run.
[19:27] I don't know.
[19:28] I couldn't even tell you the last time.
[19:29] Green and flat.
[19:31] And I really hurt myself.
[19:33] Like, whoa.
[19:34] And I just got, I wasn't even paying attention.
[19:35] I was like, oh, yeah, I'll just run over there and get it on my skis.
[19:38] And next minute.
[19:39] And as it, you're like, oh.
[19:40] Yeah, I was like, how?
[19:41] I was kind of kidding.
[19:42] And I'm like.
[19:43] How did I get here?
[19:45] Like, I just don't even know.
[19:48] Yeah, so there is something about just being really present when you're doing those individual sports.
[19:54] I think that's really cool.
[19:56] Meditative.
[19:58] Do you take supplements?
[20:00] I can't even take my prescribed medications on a regular.
[20:03] I forgot to take the contraceptive pill.
[20:05] Oh, shit, watch out.
[20:06] Watch out.
[20:07] I'm like just so bad at...
[20:10] doing anything consistently.
[20:14] So I've got heaps of them.
[20:16] I've got a cupboard of them that I've bought.
[20:20] Literally hundreds of people have recommended that I've bought.
[20:23] Add targeted, bought from your friend's collection.
[20:26] There's so many.
[20:27] Yeah.
[20:27] So I take tonic at night as part of my wind down routine.
[20:31] Do you know what?
[20:32] I'm just going to jump in here.
[20:33] Do you know what I also loved?
[20:34] I love your little wind down routine.
[20:36] I saw it on your Instagram story last night where you journal all the negative shit that you did during the day to get rid of it.
[20:41] I love that.
[20:43] Do you know when people would say, I journal and I'm like, but I now just, I think my journal is for a 10 year old.
[20:50] It's like, what are you grateful for today?
[20:52] What do you want to let go of?
[20:53] Yeah.
[20:54] And it's just as simple as that.
[20:55] Yeah.
[20:55] Yeah.
[20:56] And it works, right?
[20:57] It does.
[20:57] Yeah, whether you say it out loud to yourself, to another person, or write it out, I feel like you need to expel the energy from your body.
[21:06] You can't just in your head think about it.
[21:09] I feel like it's better.
[21:09] You actually need to get it out of your body.
[21:12] Totally.
[21:12] Otherwise it eats you alive.
[21:14] It works.
[21:14] Yeah, so how many things do you have to write away at the end of the night?
[21:18] I've got like a Yellow Pages size journal book.
[21:22] And then on Lionsgate portal day, do you go stick it in the fire and set it on fire?
[21:26] I do that shit.
[21:27] I do.
[21:27] So do you know what happened on Lionsgate this year?
[21:31] Everything I manifested is fucking coming true and I think I've bitten off more than I can chew.
[21:35] Like I was like, I want these, da-da-da-da, and I manifested me doing the things.
[21:39] Like I'm actually imagining me doing the things.
[21:42] With manifestation, they have to be achievable things.
[21:44] It's not like, oh, I'm going to go and… Be a plastic surgeon.
[21:46] I'll fly to the moon and do it.
[21:48] Yeah, right.
[21:49] And it's all happening, but everything's happening at once.
[21:53] I'm like, oh, shit.
[21:55] Now I'm manifesting…
[21:56] Hi, Universe.
[21:57] Can you help?
[21:58] Me again.
[21:59] Manifesting all the good shit that I asked for.
[22:02] Can we just like space it out?
[22:03] And also, can you help me to choose the best path forward so I can do all this shit and still be a present mum and not lose my fucking mind?
[22:11] With gratitude from Beck.
[22:12] Love everything.
[22:13] Love that it all came true.
[22:14] Thank you.
[22:17] Are you the same?
[22:17] Can't tell me I'm not alone.
[22:19] No, you're not alone.
[22:20] I need to be manifesting more things, but like the journaling of just getting shit out, it is, it works.
[22:28] Or just what's one thing that you're proud of yourself for today or one thing that you're grateful for?
[22:33] And it's...
[22:34] You've seen all the health gurus bang on this for years and it's like, you know, it can be clean water and you're like, okay.
[22:39] But it's true.
[22:41] It's like, do you know what?
[22:41] Today I was able to, I've got legs that can move and get me from A to B. Yeah.
[22:46] And it can just get you out of a shit move.
[22:48] A shelter that's raining and a heater that's on.
[22:51] And then here are my regrets.
[22:53] Why did I overshare?
[22:55] Why did I interrupt that person?
[22:58] The fact you're even mindful of that, like, shows you're a good person.
[23:10] So what about cosmetic treatments?
[23:14] I know you love your lasers and things like that for your skin.
[23:17] Talk us through how you look after your skin.
[23:20] I've reached out to you to ask your advice on lasers and everything.
[23:23] I haven't.
[23:27] I've had such... Like I've battled with my skin so much over the years from like developing this, I don't even know how to pronounce what it is, but these cysts that develop under my skin and we've got skin cancer in our family.
[23:42] So I've had like, I had one removed when I was 21 and they did a terrible job.
[23:48] I also went out that night because no one really told me that it's important when you have stitches on your face not to drink.
[23:56] And then I've had acne scarring and cysts constantly.
[24:00] So for me, it's just like trying to keep my skin at bay first.
[24:04] And now we're like starting the journey of how we can help the scarring.
[24:09] It's just such a journey.
[24:11] And I find if I have done...
[24:13] any treatments that are a bit aggressive or full on, like my skin shits itself.
[24:18] Yeah, same.
[24:19] So it's almost like I'm a bit, I just want to get it settled.
[24:22] And now, again, I'm in Melbourne.
[24:24] I feel like I want to make a commitment.
[24:25] I can go to things.
[24:26] Yeah, you can.
[24:27] And appointments easier.
[24:27] Six weeks, just book it in.
[24:29] Every six weeks, just get it in the calendar.
[24:31] But like an LED, a medical grade LED, I just love.
[24:35] I know that's not groundbreaking.
[24:37] Yeah, no, but it's got good research behind it.
[24:40] Yeah.
[24:41] I've just finally gone to a dermatologist.
[24:43] Yes, a dermatologist.
[24:44] And I'm like, I will stick to your plan because I'm also that basic bitch and lazy who will be like, I've bought a pen from the US.
[24:51] And I'm like, I'll needle myself.
[24:52] And I'm like, yes.
[24:55] Because it's quicker or something.
[24:56] So I'm like, I'm just, I will not do anything else until you tell me what the next step is.
[25:00] And I think that is such good advice.
[25:02] If you have long-term skin issues, go and find your dermatologist and stick to it and stick to the plan.
[25:09] Because we've had Dr. Ryan DeCruz on here, Dr. Cara McDonald, all great cosmetic dermatologists, and they've come on and they're like,
[25:16] just there is a plan.
[25:17] It does take sometimes six weeks and just stick through it because as soon as you chop and change, then you wonder why you don't get the results.
[25:25] Totally.
[25:25] You've just actually got to lock in.
[25:27] Yeah.
[25:27] Yeah, and it's hard because we're impatient, right?
[25:29] Yes.
[25:30] Yeah.
[25:30] So that is the plan.
[25:32] So good.
[25:33] I love that.
[25:34] All right, Em, if you could only get one beauty treatment for the rest of your life, what would it be?
[25:38] Maybe like getting a medical-grade LED.
[25:41] Do you have the mask or do you go in?
[25:43] Go in.
[25:43] I bought the mask.
[25:44] I'm apparently meant to do it every night.
[25:45] Yeah.
[25:47] I sense a theme here.
[25:50] So it's better if you just go in and book the appointment.
[25:52] Yeah.
[25:53] Okay.
[25:53] But no, the proper, the big one.
[25:55] Yes, yes, I know.
[25:56] Yeah.
[25:57] And they're so blinding that you have to put the little goggles on.
[25:59] Yeah.
[26:00] Sometimes they're like, we like the goggles.
[26:01] And I'm like, no, I'm good.
[26:02] And then as soon as it goes on, I'm like, shit, give me the goggles.
[26:06] Right.
[26:06] Yes.
[26:07] Is there a random or affordable product you genuinely swear by, like a supermarket or a chemist find?
[26:13] Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.
[26:15] It's not a supermarket find, but I would say it's affordable.
[26:19] Beck Madden's Cheap Beauty.
[26:22] So good.
[26:23] So good.
[26:24] The lip liner with the lipstick.
[26:26] It's just so good.
[26:27] Have it with me.
[26:28] I think I've got it.
[26:31] Oh, my God.
[26:31] Get it out.
[26:32] Get out the Cheap Beauty.
[26:33] I just think it's so good.
[26:35] This?
[26:36] Okay.
[26:37] So Rebecca Madden, gorgeous back, has created her own makeup product.
[26:42] Mine has a pimple patch on it.
[26:43] Yeah.
[26:43] It was full of powder.
[26:44] Mine had a candy claws on it.
[26:47] So she's created this.
[26:49] It's a lip liner, double-ended.
[26:51] It's a lip liner on one end, which we love for overdrawing.
[26:55] Yeah.
[26:55] And then the other end is a little lipstick, but it's quite a moisturizing lipstick.
[27:00] Yeah.
[27:01] I wouldn't say it's, like, long.
[27:02] It's not going to last you hours, but I like because my lips get so dry.
[27:07] And it's, like...
[27:07] It's so good.
[27:08] And the colors are, like, perfectly complement each other.
[27:11] It's like a lip duet.
[27:12] So what one are you wearing, babe?
[27:14] I'm in Sweet 102.
[27:15] Yeah.
[27:16] Sweet 103.
[27:16] There you go.
[27:18] Did you just do a little zhuzh?
[27:19] Yeah, I just put a little bit.
[27:21] Let's zhuzh with our Cheat Beauty.
[27:23] Ready?
[27:23] And this segment is brought to you by Cheat Beauty.
[27:28] Bloody love.
[27:28] What else do I have in here now that we've got?
[27:29] What else do you have in there?
[27:30] We love a little handbag.
[27:31] You know what?
[27:31] This L'Oreal blush, that's a supermarket fine.
[27:35] Show me that.
[27:35] Oh, I love the coral on that.
[27:37] How old that is too.
[27:38] Oh, I love that.
[27:39] It's a good one.
[27:39] That looks a little bit like Nars Orgasm, but probably a quarter of the price.
[27:44] I love that one.
[27:45] Oh, I do like that.
[27:46] And it's got a sheen to it.
[27:47] All right, what else have you got for me?
[27:48] So that's a good...
[27:49] This is not supermarket.
[27:51] This is expensive.
[27:52] Mm-hmm.
[27:52] What is that?
[27:53] Victoria Beckham.
[27:54] I don't... Oh.
[27:55] But it's so good.
[27:56] What is it?
[27:56] The foundation drops.
[27:57] Oh, foundation drops.
[27:58] What do you mean drop?
[27:59] Well, it's just foundation.
[28:00] I think they just call it drops.
[28:03] That's the supermarket one.
[28:05] Give me that.
[28:05] Oh, yep.
[28:06] Maybelline concealer.
[28:06] Yep, that looks like it might have a bit of, that's had lived a life, that one.
[28:12] Maybelline concealer.
[28:14] There you go.
[28:14] That Maybelline concealer is good.
[28:15] It's got the sponge tip one.
[28:17] Mm-hmm.
[28:18] I'm so glad you mentioned cheap beauty because it is such a good hack.
[28:21] I love it.
[28:22] You get it and it's just done.
[28:24] Oh, it's so good.
[28:25] So you just pack it in your bag and you've got your lippy and your lip liner done.
[28:27] Yeah.
[28:27] That's true.
[28:27] So good.
[28:28] Love it.
[28:29] Love that.
[28:30] Okay.
[28:31] Is there a beauty trend or a treatment you've tried and thought, yeah, nah, never again?
[28:36] Hate that.
[28:36] So many.
[28:37] What about like back in the day?
[28:38] Yeah.
[28:39] I swear like when you and Tom first started dating and you'd go to the Brownlow or the Geelong Best and Ferris and you were like,
[28:43] literally straight out of high school, there was some looks.
[28:46] That's great.
[28:47] I was involved back then too.
[28:49] I look back and I go, what the fuck?
[28:51] I look at the period of like after I had Belle in between Henry, like I'd put on so much weight.
[28:56] I don't think so many people can relate.
[28:59] You have the baby and you just want to look like yourself again.
[29:02] And...
[29:03] Like the theme is quick fix for me.
[29:05] And I just remember that season, the ruling into it was like, oh, I'll put – because I've always had such a round face and huge cheeks –
[29:14] But I looked like a fucking puffer fish during pregnancy.
[29:17] And then after I was like, well, it would make sense to put filler in my cheeks.
[29:21] Or just shit, I would look back.
[29:22] I'm like, oh my God.
[29:24] But I'd look back and go, no, I was doing it because I wasn't feeling myself.
[29:29] And I think that's my biggest advice.
[29:31] Don't do shit when you're not...
[29:34] Feeling the happiest with yourself.
[29:35] Yeah, because you're making decisions based on quick fixes.
[29:39] And there was one treatment I did during that.
[29:42] This wasn't great.
[29:44] You got like 50 injections under your chins.
[29:47] Oh, yeah.
[29:47] And I blew up like a toad.
[29:53] And then I didn't know how bad the downtime would be.
[29:56] And I had people over for dinner the next time.
[29:58] And I was wearing a scarf.
[29:59] I'm like, I've just had some dental work.
[30:01] And I don't think that did anything.
[30:04] But I'm like, I think because...
[30:06] Some of the treatments make you look so bad after that when you get back to normal, you're like, oh, yeah, that looks better.
[30:12] It's just the same from where you started, but because you look so horrific for a bit.
[30:19] The mind plays crazy games.
[30:21] That's just the ultimate mind trick.
[30:23] Like, that's just, that wasn't great.
[30:25] So I wouldn't recommend that.
[30:26] I mean, maybe it does work, but yeah.
[30:29] My biggest...
[30:30] Things that didn't work were when I was doing things and either not with the right person or quick decisions in like... To fix some psychological thing that was going on instead of having a real reason.
[30:41] Yeah.
[30:42] Like it's so normal to feel insecure at different times of your life and so normal to want to do things.
[30:50] But like to be patient and not make decisions because that's when...
[30:54] You look like a puffer fish.
[30:56] Great.
[30:57] Yeah.
[30:57] Yeah, we've all been there.
[30:58] We've all been there.
[30:59] Okay.
[31:00] Talk to us.
[31:01] It is booby month.
[31:02] Talk to us about your boob journey.
[31:05] My boobs.
[31:05] Your boobs.
[31:06] Love boobs.
[31:08] Oh, my boobs.
[31:09] Great.
[31:09] Great boobs.
[31:11] I was that teenager that just grew them overnight and they were like big.
[31:16] Were you like a 10 double D in like year eight?
[31:18] Like my sister, blonde, big boobs.
[31:20] Yeah.
[31:20] All the boys loved her.
[31:21] And I remember always being, liking it at one stage and then having this awareness where like I'd want to cover up and then they just kept getting bigger.
[31:29] And then after I had Arabella, like they were fucking huge.
[31:33] Like how big are we talking?
[31:35] Like what cup size?
[31:36] Yeah.
[31:37] I don't know how you can, like... Did you have a cup size or did you just like...
[31:40] I don't even know if the letter was on the alphabet.
[31:43] Oh!
[31:47] How did that manifest?
[31:48] Like, that's before.
[31:50] Like, that's after Belle.
[31:53] Wow.
[31:53] And I was 28.
[31:54] And then you went back and had another baby.
[31:56] Yeah.
[31:56] So I had a reduction after Bell and the surgeon was like, we'd recommend you wait until after you've had all of your babies.
[32:03] It can affect breastfeeding.
[32:04] I'm like, well, I wasn't great at that.
[32:06] So I'm willing to take that risk.
[32:08] Mm-hmm.
[32:09] And I actually just feel like I can't live.
[32:11] Like I'm 28.
[32:12] I'm like, I can't wear some of the things I want to.
[32:16] Yeah.
[32:16] So I had that reduction and then I had another reduction and lift after Henry.
[32:21] Yeah.
[32:21] Your final child.
[32:23] Yes.
[32:23] Bless him.
[32:24] Little Henry.
[32:24] Henry's.
[32:26] Which that held up pretty well.
[32:28] Yeah.
[32:28] The lift part of the reduction, like there's a reduction part and the lift is...
[32:33] Because even your nipples or the areola was like a pancake.
[32:37] Yeah.
[32:37] And now it's like so chic and small.
[32:41] Yeah, small.
[32:41] We had Hamish Farrow in talking about how he does the lifts and the reductions and what they can do to craft the new areola and even like the nipple.
[32:52] I didn't realize that you can like cut the nipple off.
[32:55] like a slice of bread, like slice it down.
[32:59] There's so many different things you can do.
[33:01] I had the like scar that goes here and under.
[33:04] Yeah, the lollipop scar, yeah.
[33:05] But the scar, I mean, and I've had it twice.
[33:07] The scarring is...
[33:09] Amazing.
[33:10] And I scar really badly, obviously.
[33:12] But when I say I've had two breast reductions, people are like, what?
[33:15] Because they're still quite big.
[33:16] But I'm like, wait till you see the before.
[33:19] And that's like my surgeon.
[33:21] Because there was a time after I'm like, I wish you'd made them small.
[33:24] Or like, I just don't want to have big boobs.
[33:26] But he's like, but then they wouldn't, your body...
[33:29] would not be the right size for your body.
[33:33] Yeah, they're gorgeous.
[33:34] That's another thing Hamish was saying.
[33:36] He said sometimes because of the quality of life and the pain that they can sometimes cause, that even if you are in that part of your life and you're reproducing era where you're probably going to have more kids, yeah, you can wait, but...
[33:50] If it's actually really affecting your quality of life, it is an option just to do it and then you can do it again.
[33:55] Totally.
[33:56] Yeah.
[33:56] So you did that.
[33:57] Yeah, right.
[33:58] And then Henry, so reduction and lift.
[34:00] What was the recovery like?
[34:02] Does it hurt?
[34:03] Oh, no, I was, and I'm a real pussy, like.
[34:08] No, the recovery was fine.
[34:10] Both times, I probably should have recovered a bit better because you're not meant to lift and everything after, but I don't know, with kids, it's like.
[34:19] With kids, it's so hard.
[34:20] And then you forget that there's internal stitching too.
[34:23] Yeah, until you go, and you're like, oh, shit, I just popped a stitch.
[34:27] And it's like.
[34:28] I mean, I'm sure you could relate with the amount of injuries Juddy would have had too.
[34:31] But it's like, I said to Tom one day, I'm like, do I need to put like a boot on or crutches?
[34:35] It's like, I've had major surgery, but because you can't, like, do I put a bandage on around?
[34:40] Yeah, yeah, strap them in.
[34:41] To remind everyone in this house.
[34:43] And then because it's like elective too.
[34:45] Yeah, it's like no compassion, no empathy.
[34:49] Because it wasn't done on a footy field.
[34:50] I didn't really give him much on the other side either.
[34:53] But I'm like, the recovery was fine.
[34:55] But I know everyone's really different with the recovery.
[34:59] I mean, I guess all surgeries.
[35:00] But the recovery was fine for me.
[35:02] Yeah, well, that's good.
[35:03] And how do they feel now?
[35:05] Yeah.
[35:05] So good.
[35:06] Like I'm still like I'm the master at taping.
[35:10] I was taping before.
[35:11] Booby tape was the thing, yeah.
[35:13] Like with Tom's athletic tape.
[35:14] I remember one.
[35:15] The elastoplast.
[35:16] One event Tom had to ask his physio for some tape and they're like, are you okay?
[35:21] What's happening?
[35:21] He's like, no, no, they're forever spoobs.
[35:23] I'm like giving my, I'd give myself breast reductions before I did it.
[35:28] Physically, how did it feel when, before you got the surgery, when they were big?
[35:31] Yeah.
[35:32] the heaviness and you wouldn't even, you don't even realise until you've had that weight taken out, like to wear bathers that would tie up around your neck, I would just never.
[35:43] Yeah.
[35:44] Because it would just de-hear into your neck so much.
[35:46] So painful.
[35:47] And just the options to wear more things.
[35:50] Like I would always want to cover them.
[35:53] So I would wear baggy things and.
[35:56] it would make me look bigger than I am.
[35:58] But then if I would wear plunging, I'd be too worried.
[36:01] But now I'm like, I feel like I can do that.
[36:04] And it's just, it's comfier.
[36:07] Like you don't realize the way, or the space, like in the before and after photo, like there's a, I think I've got a mole like here.
[36:13] And then you see the after and there's just like all this, all this new real estate.
[36:21] I have a torso under there.
[36:22] Who would have thought?
[36:23] Yeah.
[36:24] I do remember you, I feel like you had this breakout va-va-voom, Jessica Rabbit moment at a Brownlow one year where it might have been the year that you needed the tape, Tom's Visio footy tape.
[36:36] where you wore a low-cut dress and the boobs looked insane and you got all the press the next day and it was just like, whoa, where did this come from?
[36:46] This is so hot.
[36:47] What have you been hiding?
[36:48] And why have you been hiding?
[36:49] What dress was it?
[36:51] And which brown low was it?
[36:52] Was it a black low-cut?
[36:54] It was like a dark blue.
[36:55] Elliot did that.
[36:56] Elliot Garneau started that?
[36:58] Yeah, because he was like... Let's show off your beautiful body.
[37:02] But even after, because there was like one angle that...
[37:05] did look not great.
[37:07] I still, even after, I was like, oh, my God.
[37:08] But now I'm like.
[37:09] Oh, really?
[37:09] But that broke the internet.
[37:10] Like, you look so gorgeous.
[37:11] But now I'm like, nah, I'm ready to like, you know, it's what it is.
[37:15] Get the girls out.
[37:16] I've got babies.
[37:17] Yeah.
[37:18] Like, honestly, you in that dress was a moment.
[37:22] I think I remember when you were like, yes, girl, get him out.
[37:27] Get him out.
[37:28] I do.
[37:28] Yeah, that was iconic.
[37:29] And I feel like that's when everyone was like, oh, wow, we know Emma Hawkins.
[37:35] Like, that was your breakout night and how crazy it's all about getting the boobs out.
[37:39] Oh, now everyone knows me because I've got my boobs out.
[37:40] I know.
[37:41] Well, I mean, you can't win it like it.
[37:44] You look back at those times too and like on all the different seasons of life and especially for me like if you're feeling not confident and you're going to those things and then like you're so strong and you're just such a cheerleader where say if I'm feeling insecure and I'm like, oh, this person said this, you'd be like...
[38:02] Fuck that.
[38:03] Who gives a shit?
[38:04] Who gives a shit?
[38:05] But hate to be them.
[38:06] I look back and I'm like, oh, I just remember feeling so insecure on some of those moments.
[38:13] But then, I don't know, it's just a part of your life.
[38:16] Like you've either had a baby or you're trying – and also you can't – when you do work on yourself and you're feeling great and then people are like, oh.
[38:25] she looks too good, what has she done?
[38:26] What has she done?
[38:28] Why is she caring so much?
[38:29] How superficial.
[38:30] She's looking fit and she looks amazing and she's looking better than ever.
[38:33] She must have done something.
[38:34] How shallow.
[38:35] I can't bloody win.
[38:36] But I think that's why this is so cool and what you and Jessie are doing with this podcast is what you've been doing for us in our WhatsApp group.
[38:44] All the recommendations that I've never gone and done.
[38:46] For so long.
[38:48] It's just like to be...
[38:50] Open and honest about everything, it's empowering and it's like so...
[38:54] Totally.
[38:54] What can people do with that?
[38:55] It's like this is...
[38:56] I just have to think.
[38:57] And you know what else I think?
[38:58] When you are open and honest, there's less chatter about you.
[39:01] When you just own it, people aren't like, oh, what has she done?
[39:04] And what's this?
[39:05] All this negative little bitchy side talk.
[39:08] When you just have honest conversations about it and you don't gaslight women...
[39:13] I feel like that negative chit-chat, it disappears.
[39:16] Yeah.
[39:17] Yeah.
[39:17] Totally.
[39:18] But even to that point with the negative chit-chat, I'm like so in a zero fuck zero, you probably noticed, but I've been here for a while.
[39:25] Like imagine, like who actually publicly negatively criticizes someone?
[39:30] Like, because you've never done it and I've never done it, but imagine being in the mind of someone who actually would.
[39:34] I know.
[39:35] When you put yourself in that mind, you go, oh, hell no.
[39:37] I would never want to be...
[39:39] so envious or jealous or have something so negative happening in my life that would make me have this reaction that I have to publicly negatively criticize someone.
[39:49] Totally.
[39:50] That's why I don't think about them.
[39:51] Yeah.
[39:51] Like, block, delete, see you later.
[39:53] But I do know a lot of people hang on to, like, they hang on to the one negative comment and not the 549 positive comments.
[40:00] It's the one shit comment that people hang on to.
[40:02] Totally.
[40:02] If you're listening to this, fuck it off.
[40:05] I'm so much better at it now.
[40:06] I went through a stage where I was like, oh, and I think like whatever it is, whether a people pleaser or that's triggered you because it is an insecurity.
[40:14] But now it's like knowing the mindset of why people do that.
[40:20] You flip the narrative and the switch and be like, oh, God.
[40:22] Sucks to be you, babe.
[40:23] Yeah.
[40:24] What's happening in your life to... Yeah.
[40:27] Yeah.
[40:27] to make you want to.
[40:28] Yeah.
[40:29] Yeah.
[40:29] That's making you feel good.
[40:30] Yeah.
[40:31] So you have that thought and then you go, and now block, delete, and I'm never going to think about you again.
[40:35] That's pretty much what I do.
[40:36] Au revoir.
[40:37] Au revoir.
[40:38] Toot-a-loo.
[40:39] Toot-a-loo, motherfucker.
[40:41] Speaking of toot-a-loo, that was so fun.
[40:43] Thank you for sharing.
[40:44] Thanks.
[40:44] I feel like.
[40:45] I was going to say your wellness and it's like your.
[40:49] Your listeners are like, we got nothing.
[40:51] No, no, no.
[40:52] No tips, no tricks.
[40:53] She does an LED groundbreaking.
[40:55] I think people will be able to relate to the fact that you're a busy mum, right?
[41:00] You've got three kids.
[41:01] You buy all the things.
[41:02] You want to improve your wellness and your health.
[41:05] But like all of us, you've got 100 bottles and boxes of pills and tonics and supplements and just can't commit to being able to take them.
[41:13] Like, that is all of us.
[41:14] Don't you worry about that.
[41:15] It's so true.
[41:16] Don't you worry about that.
[41:17] So it was enlightening.
[41:19] And down to earth, right?
[41:20] Because that's all of us.
[41:21] Or just lazy and unorganised.
[41:24] A bit of ADHD sprinkled in there.
[41:27] But thanks also for sharing your boobie story with us.
[41:30] And it's interesting coming off the back of what Hamish said and you really align with a lot of the stories and the journeys he's told about his patients.
[41:38] Yeah.
[41:38] So it's cool to hear it from the patient side.
[41:42] So it was really nice.
[41:42] Well, it's like a big month for you guys to have spoken about boobies so much.
[41:48] My mum had breast cancer too.
[41:50] Was it two years ago?
[41:51] And she went through all the reconstructive.
[41:53] So, like, to see it from a side of what they can do, double mastectomies versus me, which was... A reduction and a lift.
[42:01] Yeah, there's so much.
[42:02] There was vanity reasons for me, for sure, and also just, like, back and neck.
[42:06] Yeah.
[42:06] But there's just...
[42:07] It is incredible.
[42:08] Mm-hmm.
[42:09] that they can do.
[42:10] The reconstruction is insane.
[42:12] When Hamish was telling us, our minds were blown.
[42:16] Unbelievable.
[42:18] Such clever medical professionals we have.
[42:21] So, yeah, thanks for being on Boobie Month for us.
[42:24] Thanks for having me.
[42:25] I'll see you soon, babe.
[42:26] We've got a big spring fun season ahead.
[42:30] We do.
[42:30] So looking forward to spending more time with you.
[42:32] Me too.
[42:32] Bye, babe.
[42:33] Bye-bye.
[42:34] That's it for Vanish, guys.
[42:35] We'll see you again next time.
[42:36] Bye for now.
[42:43] We're gonna hate.
