[0:05] I'm Bec Judd.

[0:07] And we're done with the smoke and mirrors.
[0:09] Fainish shares honest stories about what it takes to look amazing because we did not wake up like this.

[0:49] Hi guys, welcome to Vanish Podcast.
[0:52] It's bodcast.
[0:54] Hey, a bodcast.
[0:57] I'm Beg Judd.
[0:58] And I'm Jess Roberts.
[0:59] And it's nice to be with you.
[1:00] I know, again, I've seen you a lot this week.
[1:02] Yeah.
[1:03] I've had the most roughest morning ever.
[1:06] So my dogs are trach craned.
[1:09] And that's a trach craned did not make any sense there.
[1:13] I'm getting mine now, okay?
[1:15] They are trach... No, trach...
[1:19] Let's start that again.
[1:20] My dogs are crate trained.
[1:22] Yep.
[1:23] And in the morning, I'm usually still asleep and my son will get up and he'll let the dogs out to go to the toilet.
[1:29] So Jagger let the dogs to go to the toilet, but then obviously forgot to open up the front door.
[1:33] So I got up, went downstairs.
[1:36] There was a trail of piss all down the bloody hallway.
[1:43] And it took me, I reckon, about 40 minutes to clean it up
[1:49] It wasn't even like a trail.
[1:50] It was a trail that went on the walls.
[1:52] Like I can't even...
[1:53] It was two dogs just piss everywhere.
[1:56] My entire house stinks of dog wee.
[1:59] So they're girl dogs?
[2:01] Girl dogs.
[2:01] All right.
[2:02] So they're not cocking their leg?
[2:03] No.
[2:04] So how's it getting on the wall?
[2:05] I have no...
[2:06] I think just the excitement wagging their tails and then pissing at the same time.
[2:10] Why were they excited?
[2:11] Because they were, mum's not up, we're going to piss inside.
[2:13] I think just excited to, you know, everyone's up, let's play, like kind of thing.
[2:17] They get excited when you open the crates up.
[2:18] Like they just get, they're just excited dogs.
[2:21] And they've just pissed everywhere, my amazing fake Pomeranians.
[2:25] So you've got two Pomeranians.
[2:28] Yes, a fake one.
[2:30] Fake Pomeranians.
[2:31] Let's be honest, I've got a corgi and a Maltese.
[2:34] Their names are?
[2:35] Sushi and Saki.
[2:37] And where did you buy them?
[2:39] Trading Post.
[2:42] How much did you pay?
[2:43] I'm not going to tell you that.
[2:44] How much did you pay?
[2:46] No.
[2:47] For your, hang on.
[2:49] I can't backtrack.
[2:50] Because they were so expensive.
[2:52] You decided, because of your ADHD traits that we love, that make you, you, make you my best friend forever, that I fucking love you.
[3:02] You do stupid, crazy shit that just gives me the laughs.
[3:06] And one day you're like, I'm getting two Pomeranians.
[3:08] And you showed me some photos, actually.
[3:11] And they looked like amazing.
[3:13] And I think, who were you inspired by with your Pomeranians?
[3:15] Kim Kardashian.
[3:16] Kim Kardashian.
[3:18] That's why my dogs are called Sushi and Saki, like her dogs.
[3:21] Oh, wow.
[3:21] Really?
[3:22] I didn't know that.
[3:22] Yeah.
[3:23] Did you not know that?
[3:24] No, you're not okay.
[3:25] I know.
[3:25] So then you did a Google?
[3:28] Did a Google and yeah, found them on the training post.
[3:30] Found a breeder?
[3:31] A breeder in Doncaster.
[3:33] And I went to Doncaster and bought these beautiful, gorgeous Pomeranians.
[3:37] And I looked at the photo and I looked at the dogs like, they don't look alike.
[3:41] And the weirdest thing when I said to the breeder, I said, okay, I'll take two of them.
[3:46] He goes, oh, no, no, no, you only can take one.
[3:48] And I was like, no, I want two.
[3:49] And he's like, no, you can only take one.
[3:51] And I was like, that's a bit weird.
[3:53] Why would he – he's got the opportunity to sell two puppies here.
[3:56] And I was like – At how much did you pay?
[3:58] Can we beep this because it's so expensive?
[4:01] $1,000 cash.
[4:04] Ha ha!
[4:05] They're $2,000 dogs.
[4:07] You got duped, babe.
[4:09] I know.
[4:10] He saw you coming.
[4:11] Oh, he saw me coming.
[4:12] This chick with ADHD who's making an impulse buy, I'm going to sell her $2,000 dogs.
[4:18] Yeah, yeah.
[4:18] But also, I was in a Kia carnival.
[4:20] It's not like I was rocking up in a Porsche.
[4:22] Fuck.
[4:23] Anyway, I had to have two of them.
[4:25] Val was not impressed about these two.
[4:27] Like, he's like, babe, just one.
[4:28] One's enough.
[4:29] I'm like, no, because then they've got each other and blah, blah, blah.
[4:32] Walked out with these two dogs.
[4:33] Pomeranians.
[4:34] Pomeranians.
[4:35] And he said to me, he's like, you only can have one of them.
[4:37] You can't have two.
[4:37] And I was like, no, I want the two.
[4:40] So he ended up giving me the two.
[4:41] And now I know why he didn't want me to buy the two of them together because I don't think they're sisters.
[4:46] Yeah.
[4:47] because they look nothing alike.
[4:49] So they're meant to be from one litter, but these dogs are not alike.
[4:54] One is a Corgi and one's a Maltese.
[4:57] But they do spin around and do the tricks like a Pomeranian though.
[5:02] I don't think he's a real breeder and he probably needs to be reported to be honest.
[5:06] I actually went past his house like maybe eight months later and it was empty.
[5:09] So I think he did a run up.
[5:11] He's in jail.
[5:12] I think he did.
[5:13] I think he brought a lot of dogs and did the same thing.
[5:22] Today we have a very, very special, gorgeous, stunning guest, model and actress, Ellie Gonsalves.
[5:31] Gonsalves.
[5:31] How do I say it?
[5:32] Gonsalves.
[5:33] That's what I say.
[5:34] It's like Gonsalves.
[5:35] Gonsalves.
[5:36] It's like so exotic, but I'm the whitest woman.
[5:40] Ellie is best known for her Yellowtail Super Bowl commercial.
[5:44] I guess that's kind of where it all began.
[5:46] L'Oreal, guest jeans, campaigns, as well as Hollywood film, Fighting With My Family.
[5:51] She's also a Wildlife Warriors ambassador.
[5:54] Welcome to Vainish.
[5:56] Aw, thanks for having me, girls.
[5:58] Thanks for coming on.
[5:59] Such a fun little catch up today.
[6:01] I know, because everyone caught up in ages.
[6:03] I'm really excited about being here today, but I'm also like kind of nervous.
[6:06] Yeah.
[6:06] Oh, really?
[6:07] Because I want to like actually address like a real longstanding rumor about myself.
[6:13] Like I've had allegations of probably everything under the sun, nose job, boob job.
[6:19] But there is an allegation that I'm so nervous saying this.
[6:24] There is an allegation that I had my ribs removed and...
[6:29] Ah.
[6:29] And I just actually want to get on today and like get it out of the way and actually talk about it.
[6:35] Yeah.
[6:35] Because I did have my ribs removed.
[6:38] Stop it.
[6:39] No way.
[6:40] Yeah.
[6:40] Yeah.
[6:41] And I actually got to keep my ribs and they're actually in my bag.
[6:44] Do you want to see them?
[6:44] Oh my God.
[6:45] Yes.
[6:46] This is the best.
[6:49] Yes.
[6:50] Oh my God.
[6:51] This is how I'm dying.
[6:52] This is how you get a 23 inch waist.
[6:53] Oh my God.
[6:53] Oh my God.
[6:58] She's pulling them out of the bag.
[6:59] Oh, my God.
[7:02] No.
[7:03] This is the best.
[7:04] They're not yours.
[7:05] They look like you.
[7:09] They're an animal.
[7:10] That's from a pig or a cow.
[7:14] It's my husband's dinner from last night.
[7:17] I'm going to look like lamb shakes.
[7:22] We got barbecue ribs from last night.
[7:23] I was like, that is a big ass ribs, girl.
[7:25] I got my dog to chew the rest of the meat off and then I washed them before bringing them on the plane down.
[7:30] Oh, my God.
[7:31] What happened when you went through security?
[7:33] I didn't think they were going to let me take these through because I was like, they're bones.
[7:37] They're going to ask, but they didn't say anything.
[7:40] I look like Dexter, I swear to God.
[7:43] I'm the female Dexter right now.
[7:45] Oh, my God.
[7:45] This is the best.
[7:46] We thought we had the scoop of the century.
[7:48] I brought my ribs in.
[7:50] The 23-inch waist.
[7:51] I love it.
[7:51] I love it.
[7:52] The 23-inch waist is real and it's natural and I just want to put that to bed.
[7:56] Do you know what?
[7:57] Like, is that even a surgery?
[7:59] Do people even do that?
[8:00] Yeah.
[8:01] Okay.
[8:01] Okay.
[8:01] It's a proper surgery.
[8:02] Yeah.
[8:03] I've seen it on TikTok.
[8:04] Yeah.
[8:05] Must be real then.
[8:05] Must be real then.
[8:06] So I'd never heard that rumor about you.
[8:08] Yeah, I haven't either.
[8:09] I got it back like 10 years ago.
[8:11] Really?
[8:11] Yeah.
[8:12] You've just got an epic waist.
[8:13] Yeah, I got a little waist.
[8:14] Everyone's just jealous of your waist.
[8:15] Big boobs and like that was what God blessed me with.
[8:18] Yeah.
[8:19] And I just rolled with it.
[8:20] And monetized it.
[8:21] And look where it's got you.
[8:23] Monetize that chick, girl.
[8:25] It's like Kimmy K in a big butt.
[8:27] Yeah, and especially if you're going to cop flat for it your entire life, you may as well make it work for you, right?
[8:32] 100%.
[8:32] Exactly.
[8:33] 100%.
[8:34] So your ribs are real.
[8:35] Yep.
[8:35] I just love that.
[8:36] The ribs are all there.
[8:37] As soon as they came out of the bag.
[8:38] I can get an x-ray.
[8:39] Should I get an x-ray?
[8:40] Just to confirm?
[8:41] Yeah.
[8:42] I reckon people believe you after that.
[8:44] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[8:45] You guys have a really good trailer for this episode.
[8:47] Oh, my God.
[8:47] We definitely do.
[8:48] And it's so funny.
[8:49] When you said, like, I have a reason, I actually was convinced.
[8:51] I was like, what?
[8:51] Have you really done this?
[8:54] You had me fooled.
[8:54] Oh, my God.
[8:55] That is so good.
[8:56] I can kind of smell it.
[8:56] You fully believed it.
[8:57] And then you were like...
[8:59] They don't look like human ribs.
[9:01] And I was like, whoa, they have big ribs.
[9:02] You know what?
[9:03] So I've got a science degree and we did a lot of human biology units and we did a lot of work with cadavers.
[9:11] So I've actually seen human ribs up close.
[9:14] So you know what they look like.
[9:16] I've dissected and played with them.
[9:18] And as soon as that came out of the bag, and they kind of smell a bit like barbecue.
[9:22] I can smell it.
[9:24] That just says me getting on the plane with my ribs.
[9:26] Oh, my God.
[9:27] I love the commitment to Vanish.
[9:29] I love it.
[9:29] I'm going to give these girls an epic trailer.
[9:31] I'm going to kick it off just with some comedy.
[9:33] I had to prank you guys.
[9:34] I love it.
[9:35] That's going to be an epic reel.
[9:39] I love it.
[9:39] And it's going to be beep, beep, beep.
[9:41] Yeah.
[9:42] So good.
[9:43] So let's get into what is the typical day, like in your typical morning, what's your routine?
[9:48] Beauty and wellness.
[9:49] Yeah, beauty and wellness.
[9:51] I mean, like I don't have kids, so it's like quite extensive.
[9:56] But I think like when I get up in the morning, I'll do like all of my skincare, like have a proper shower, do the whole thing.
[10:02] I usually train...
[10:04] At the moment, I'm training in the afternoons, but sometimes I usually go and just do Pilates in the morning.
[10:08] Yeah.
[10:09] But I'm really big on my skincare routine, so I don't miss any steps.
[10:13] It's like the full face wash, the serums, the SPF.
[10:16] I have to say, I think that I'm 34 years old and I stopped sitting in the sun when I was 18.
[10:24] And I have to say, that's probably one of my biggest things when people ask me about anti-aging for myself.
[10:29] And the integrity of my skin, not sitting in the sun and using SPF every single day, like being pedantic about it.
[10:36] Because the damage the sun does to your skin is so hard to reverse and it's expensive.
[10:42] And it's painful.
[10:44] Yeah.
[10:44] It's so, yeah.
[10:45] Yeah.
[10:45] Yeah.
[10:45] We always say that on our show.
[10:47] We have some incredible professionals who come in, dermatologists, and it is the number one anti-aging.
[10:53] Forget your biostimulators, your injectables, your lasers, all of that.
[10:56] It's literally sun protection.
[10:58] It is.
[10:58] Number one.
[10:59] Yeah.
[10:59] And it's always been our biggest regret.
[11:00] Like, it's like, if you could, you know, wind back the clock, what's the one thing that you wish you just kept on doing or you started to do?
[11:06] And that's definitely sunblock.
[11:08] Yeah, from a very young age.
[11:10] Yeah.
[11:11] Yeah.
[11:11] I am just so grateful that when I was a teen and in my early 20s and I was doing the full solarium beds, you know, with the tingle factor.
[11:21] Mm-hmm.
[11:22] The more it tingled, the browner you got.
[11:24] Yeah, yeah.
[11:25] The whole time, it was almost like I knew, I put the bag, you know that bag that you put on your head?
[11:29] It was like a metal, it was a fabric, but it had metal through it, so it protected your face.
[11:34] So I would go in the lie down or the stand up, and I'd put the bag on my head and you'd tighten it around your neck.
[11:40] So you'd stand there and I would never tan my face or my neck.
[11:43] I'm just imagining you standing naked.
[11:46] Literally, a bag that I'd go yoink at the neck and I'd stand there like this.
[11:53] I'm sure there's a market for it.
[11:54] Let's name her.
[11:55] Let's build a character.
[11:56] You can just do fake UVs.
[11:59] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[12:01] Literally.
[12:01] Yeah, so, and thank goodness because I've got all the, like, the sun damage on my neck and on my chest, but my face I don't.
[12:08] Yeah.
[12:09] And, like, yeah, thank God for that.
[12:10] That's the first place that you see as well is –
[12:14] is aging is on the back of the hands and on your neck.
[12:17] And it's like the hardest thing to get rid of.
[12:19] Even like CO2.
[12:20] I did CO2 laser recently.
[12:22] Oh, we've been talking about that.
[12:25] How'd you go?
[12:26] Well, I remember you messaged me and you were like, what's the downtime?
[12:30] Let me go, babe.
[12:30] Yeah.
[12:31] What's the real downtime?
[12:32] Honestly, I felt like it was going to be so painful.
[12:35] I was really anticipating it to be like next level, but I had the numbing cream on and
[12:43] I think my pain tolerance must be really high.
[12:45] High, low?
[12:46] Yeah, high.
[12:47] High, high.
[12:47] When I take it?
[12:48] Yeah.
[12:49] And there was really only one place where it was actually really painful and it was on my neck, like around this area here, just there.
[12:55] Yeah.
[12:55] Yeah.
[12:56] Other than that, it was actually quite bearable for me.
[13:00] The downtime was like the next day I was like quite red.
[13:03] I had all of like the print all over my face because you know how it's like that square print with all the tiny little dots.
[13:08] Dots, yeah.
[13:09] I made sure I had no work on that week.
[13:11] We did film a podcast three days in.
[13:13] But like my recovery time was really quick.
[13:16] Like I scabbed on the second day and then like the next day like the scabbing had gone on my third day and it was like just the print on my skin.
[13:23] Yeah.
[13:24] And then I think that print lasted...
[13:26] Probably like 12 days.
[13:29] Okay.
[13:30] But not massively obvious.
[13:32] Like to me, I noticed it.
[13:33] Yeah.
[13:34] But on my neck, it probably took like a good…
[13:40] six weeks for the print on the neck to go, but you couldn't see.
[13:43] It was like, if you just look at it in a certain light, you could see the print.
[13:47] Can you put makeup on?
[13:48] Like, yeah.
[13:49] I waited three days because we did the podcast episode and there was no way I was getting on.
[13:53] Yeah, yeah.
[13:54] A massive like beet red face.
[13:56] That people behind you.
[13:58] So you can put makeup on.
[13:59] Yeah.
[14:00] You've just got to be really careful when you do the makeup that all your brushes are super clean because you've had...
[14:05] you've opened your barrier so much that if you're using like a manky brush, the risk of infection is quite high.
[14:11] Yeah.
[14:12] And then what did you notice after?
[14:14] Like it's all settled.
[14:15] What was the biggest difference, if any?
[14:18] I think like I just really did it to try it, to be honest.
[14:23] That's like me.
[14:24] I was like, I'll try anything once.
[14:26] What are you trying to fix?
[14:27] I'm like, nothing.
[14:28] I just want to try it.
[14:29] Yeah.
[14:30] And you can also apparently do it on stretch marks.
[14:31] So that's the next thing I'm going to do it on.
[14:33] Because I've got like a little bit of like, I've got some stretch marks on my boobs here.
[14:36] That's what I want to get to.
[14:37] And like, it's not something that you'd massively notice.
[14:39] But I notice it.
[14:41] Because like, I just had these like huge boobs growing when I was like 13 years old, like overnight.
[14:45] So yeah.
[14:45] Yeah.
[14:46] That's when I got mine.
[14:47] I got mine when I was about 14.
[14:48] Yeah.
[14:49] Just overnight.
[14:50] Horrible.
[14:50] I just woke up with stretch marks.
[14:52] I got my period and then I got my boobs.
[14:54] Yes.
[14:54] You guys are like my sister.
[14:55] My sister Kate woke up.
[14:57] She's like the blonde hot one.
[14:58] She woke up with these 10 double Ds at school.
[15:01] She walks in in this tight little target white fitted top with these massive...
[15:05] cans and then I'm two years older than her and then all the boys are like, where's your boobs?
[15:10] Yeah, you're like, when are my cans coming in?
[15:13] Yeah, it's like, I had to buy mine.
[15:15] Yeah.
[15:15] But literally, I woke up with 10 double Ds.
[15:18] Yeah.
[15:19] But you don't want it at that age.
[15:21] No.
[15:21] Because it feels like you're so hyper-sexualized as a child.
[15:25] See, when you're being the flat-chested person, when everyone else has boobs and you don't, it's all you want.
[15:32] No, yeah, see, I feel like you want what you don't have.
[15:34] Like I've had so many moments where I'm like, oh, I just wish my boobs were smaller.
[15:38] However, in saying that, I would never rule out getting a lift done as I get older.
[15:44] And if they're like, oh, we'd put like a small implant in because of this, I would be open to that.
[15:49] But like not to increase the size, just to increase like,
[15:52] What gravity does.
[15:53] Yeah, yeah.
[15:54] Literally.
[15:55] Aging.
[15:55] Aging.
[15:55] Aging.
[15:56] Aging.
[15:56] So they're all your boobs.
[15:58] Yeah.
[15:58] God.
[15:59] Thank you.
[15:59] God.
[16:00] I was giving you a gift.
[16:01] I hated it because I just, I felt so hypersexualized as a child.
[16:05] Yeah.
[16:06] And like the male attention that I got was unwanted.
[16:09] And teenage boys, they're like, their hormones are pumping through them.
[16:13] They're trying to understand boundaries and stuff.
[16:15] So they are.
[16:15] They're saying like really inappropriate things to you.
[16:18] Well, I got called fruit barn at school because when I would do PE and I would run, they would like basically call my boobs melon.
[16:26] So they started calling me fruit barn.
[16:27] Fruit barn.
[16:28] Shout out to the guy.
[16:29] If you're watching or listening, thanks so much.
[16:32] Thank you so much for that.
[16:33] I really appreciate you starting that nickname and making me never do PE ever again.
[16:38] It's horrendous.
[16:41] But you know what?
[16:41] They look great now.
[16:42] Yeah, I love them now.
[16:43] I'm sure they look bloody good then too.
[16:45] You just weren't ready for them, right?
[16:47] You actually were mentally, emotionally, psychologically not ready.
[16:52] Especially because it's not a gradual thing, right?
[16:54] Like you say, you just woke up like it.
[16:56] Like my sister, it was just like,
[16:57] Boom.
[16:58] Yeah.
[16:58] I had those Bonds crop tops.
[17:00] And then my mum's like, I walked out one day and she's like, like my boobs were like overhanging over the little crop.
[17:06] And she's like, you need a bra.
[17:07] Yeah, we need wires.
[17:09] Yeah, we need the whole situation happening, support, everything.
[17:12] You need a fitting.
[17:13] Yeah, a fitting.
[17:14] Oh, my God, that was horrendous.
[17:15] I remember that day.
[17:16] I'm like scarred.
[17:18] We all remember those days.
[17:19] Yeah, horrible.
[17:20] Not me.
[17:21] Not me.
[17:22] I have never had a bra fitting in my life.
[17:26] Oh, my God.
[17:26] It's like those rites of passage of being a female when you are a 10 AAA, that they just make them because you don't even need a bra.
[17:33] It's just so you feel like you're not missing it.
[17:35] That was me.
[17:37] Just to cover the nips at that age.
[17:40] Oh, no.
[17:41] We're too much.
[17:43] Okay.
[17:44] So you said you do your skincare routine every morning.
[17:49] quickly run us through one of the products.
[17:52] There's nothing quick about it.
[17:54] Well, I do like a double cleanse.
[17:56] Like a foam or a gel or?
[17:57] I'm a foam girl.
[17:58] I'm not a cream girl.
[17:59] Is that because do you have oily skin naturally?
[18:01] I'm like combination, but I also don't feel like my skin is clean if I use a cream.
[18:05] Yeah, right.
[18:05] Like a cream cleanser.
[18:06] The foam really strips everything off.
[18:08] Yeah, get it all off.
[18:10] You want it squeaky.
[18:10] Yeah, exactly.
[18:11] So you do that in the morning after sleeping?
[18:14] Yeah, I do a double cleanse.
[18:15] Yeah.
[18:15] Yeah, because like, just like.
[18:17] Like, I sleep with a silk pillow, but still, like, there's bacteria if you don't change it every two days.
[18:22] And, like, even on the second day, you're supposed to flip your pillow over and not use the same pillow, like, side of the pillow twice.
[18:28] Yeah.
[18:29] Because there's just, like, so much bacteria in your pillow.
[18:31] And I guess you're cleansing to take off all the product that you put on your face the night before.
[18:34] Yeah.
[18:35] But haven't you double cleansed the night before you go to bed as well?
[18:37] Yeah, but then you put all your serums on and stuff.
[18:38] Yeah, you put all your serums on.
[18:39] And then you wake up in the morning.
[18:40] And then you dribble on your pillow a little bit.
[18:41] Yeah, yeah.
[18:42] Yeah.
[18:42] And I feel like if I've left all my serums and everything on from the night before and thrown makeup on, my makeup doesn't sit properly because that serum and stuff is not for to put makeup over the top.
[18:52] It's not.
[18:52] Yeah.
[18:53] So do you cleanse in the morning as well?
[18:54] I cleanse in the morning as well.
[18:55] Yeah.
[18:55] Yeah.
[18:56] I should.
[18:57] Yeah.
[18:57] And then like I know you're not supposed to do this, but like I do generally exfoliate every two days.
[19:03] Oh.
[19:03] Yeah.
[19:04] With what?
[19:05] Yeah.
[19:05] Like physical or with like an exfoliant serum?
[19:08] Like an exfoliant serum.
[19:09] Oh, cool.
[19:09] Yeah.
[19:10] Yeah.
[19:10] Because like I just feel like it just gets all of the dead skin cells.
[19:14] And also too, I have been fake tanning since I was like 16 years old.
[19:18] Once a week, pretty much without fail, once a week.
[19:21] Same.
[19:21] I scrub all of my skin like layer.
[19:24] Yeah.
[19:24] of skin comes off.
[19:25] Because you've got to get your tan off, right?
[19:26] Yeah, yeah.
[19:27] So I think that's been one of my anti-aging secrets for my body is exfoliating properly every single week.
[19:34] Do you know what?
[19:35] Saying that whole exfoliation thing.
[19:38] So men don't, you know how like they age so nicely?
[19:41] It's because of the shaving.
[19:43] Yes.
[19:43] Yes, because they shave their face constantly.
[19:46] Well, I do mine.
[19:47] Yeah, yeah.
[19:47] Probably every like three or four days.
[19:49] Three or four days.
[19:50] Yeah.
[19:50] You shave your face with a dermaplane?
[19:52] Yeah.
[19:53] I want to do that.
[19:54] It is the best.
[19:55] You will never go back.
[19:56] I'm telling you.
[19:58] This will change your whole routine.
[19:59] But if you do that, does your hair grow back thicker and coarser?
[20:03] No, it doesn't.
[20:04] And I have like black thick hair.
[20:07] Wow.
[20:07] Like horrendous.
[20:09] I had a monobrow when I was 12 years old.
[20:11] I still do, babe.
[20:13] I still do.
[20:14] I have to plug my eyebrows every two days.
[20:16] How often do you do it?
[20:18] Every three to four days you do the dermaplane?
[20:20] Yeah.
[20:20] Do you ever get folliculitis from it?
[20:22] No.
[20:22] Because I've tried stuff before and then I get like these little breakouts and I'm like, ugh.
[20:26] Do you know what?
[20:27] It's a bit hard.
[20:28] I always use a, what's the hypochloric spray?
[20:32] Hypochloric spray?
[20:33] Okay.
[20:34] I always do that afterwards.
[20:35] And I do it at night right before I put like all of my stuff on my skin.
[20:40] Because then like your skin can just breathe overnight.
[20:44] And you've got like your skin's just really clean.
[20:46] Your skincare will sit better.
[20:48] Your makeup sits better.
[20:49] Every time I do a fresh one, someone's like, oh my God, your skin is glowing.
[20:53] And that's the reason.
[20:54] I swear that's the reason.
[20:55] I'm going home to shave.
[20:55] Oh, yeah.
[20:56] So Jess and I.
[20:56] But you've got to use the proper ones, though.
[20:59] Which one do you use?
[21:00] Yeah, which one do you use?
[21:01] I mean, you can just use the generic brands.
[21:03] You don't need to buy anything, like, insanely expensive.
[21:05] But just make sure you just don't reuse the same one.
[21:08] Okay.
[21:09] Because I feel like sometimes people use germs.
[21:10] Yeah, germs.
[21:11] So just, like, no germs.
[21:13] Like, use one.
[21:14] So I just buy a whole heap on Amazon.
[21:16] Okay.
[21:16] I just do a generic brand.
[21:18] Have you ever seen the ones that have like the LED in it and, you know, like there's the red light dermaplane now and you just change the razors?
[21:26] But I know there's so many little like gimmicky things now.
[21:29] I do do red light.
[21:30] Yeah, but not on the dermaplane?
[21:31] No.
[21:32] Okay.
[21:32] Because like you sort of got to sit there and properly like, you know, give it a good amount of time.
[21:37] How long does it take?
[21:38] I would probably do red light like for about 20 minutes a night.
[21:41] And the dermaplaning, the shaving, how long does that take?
[21:43] Oh, my God.
[21:44] Two minutes.
[21:45] Do you do your whole face or just the bits where the hair grows?
[21:47] No, babe, I do the whole face.
[21:48] The whole face is hairy.
[21:49] The whole face is hairy.
[21:51] Oh, my God.
[21:52] Your whole face is hairy, but my bits are hairy.
[21:55] Yeah.
[21:55] Like, just parts of it are super hairy.
[21:57] But also, too.
[21:58] But black.
[21:59] Yeah, you're lucky.
[22:00] You've got to do your whole face, though, because if you don't, then your makeup sits weird because you've got hair on your – you've got little hairs on your face, but it makes a big difference.
[22:09] So if I'm going in, like, you're going all in.
[22:11] It's all or nothing.
[22:11] Yeah, all or nothing.
[22:13] Oh.
[22:13] But I swear, like, really naturally just exfoliates your skin while you're doing that.
[22:18] Do you know what?
[22:19] We're going to do this.
[22:19] This is a whole episode of dermaplaning that we're going to do.
[22:23] We're not going to need an expert to come in and talk about it because we are going to be the expert.
[22:27] Have you seen this spray?
[22:28] You've become…
[22:29] The spray, there's a spray that's going around on like all the social media stuff.
[22:32] Oh, yeah, before you do it.
[22:33] Do it and it makes all your hair all white.
[22:35] You don't need to do that.
[22:36] No, you don't need to do that.
[22:36] It just shows you where the hair is, but you know because it's your face.
[22:40] Yeah, you're going to shave the face.
[22:41] So you just use oil.
[22:41] It's better to use oil so it just glides.
[22:44] But be really careful though because I have nicked myself a few times.
[22:47] Yeah, okay.
[22:48] So you've just got to be like just sit there and be like really careful and…
[22:51] Don't have like kids running around you because you will cut your face.
[22:53] Okay.
[22:54] All right.
[22:55] Good to know.
[22:55] Good tip.
[22:56] Good tip.
[22:57] So I'm just imagining myself in the bathroom every morning.
[23:01] My husband shaves every day.
[23:02] And then like me standing there and us both having a shave together.
[23:06] Like I'm just painting a picture.
[23:08] I don't know if I like it.
[23:09] Like it seems so masculine.
[23:11] I do my husband's face.
[23:12] I do.
[23:13] With the dermaplane.
[23:13] Yeah, because he shaves there, but he does all the rest, like his forehead, like around here.
[23:19] He cleans up his beard with the dermaplane.
[23:22] Did your eyebrows?
[23:23] Babe, do you know what?
[23:25] I do so much of my own stuff.
[23:27] I do my nails myself.
[23:29] Oh, my God.
[23:30] You are done.
[23:31] I did this myself.
[23:32] What?
[23:33] I do my brows.
[23:35] Are you trained?
[23:36] You're a trained beauty therapist.
[23:37] No, no.
[23:38] You just did it over time.
[23:39] I love it.
[23:40] I'm vain as hell.
[23:41] But also, your husband's like, you're so low maintenance in terms of cost because you do it all yourself.
[23:46] Look, I do all the high maintenance stuff to stay low maintenance myself.
[23:50] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[23:51] So I laminate my own brows.
[23:53] I tint my own lashes if they need on my own brows if I need, but they're pretty dark.
[23:58] Yeah.
[23:59] The only thing I probably don't do is my own hair because I did try to do that once.
[24:05] And I was like, I was blonde and I have black hair, right?
[24:09] So I had like this crazy regrowth before this big event, like red carpet event.
[24:13] And I was like, do you know, how hard would it be?
[24:16] How hard is it to really just do blonde hair out of a box?
[24:20] Yeah, Pamela Anderson does it.
[24:21] I couldn't get in to like get it done.
[24:23] So the night before, I'm like, like, like light, like your hair blonde.
[24:28] Yeah.
[24:29] I was like 22 years old.
[24:31] I'm doing this, like doing all the stuff from the box all the right way.
[24:36] I then start seeing that my hair underneath is like bright orange.
[24:41] I would have died.
[24:42] Like brighter than this, but like bright, bright orange.
[24:46] I know.
[24:46] I can envision the look.
[24:48] I can see the look.
[24:49] Ross walks in as I'm like taking it off and he's like,
[24:52] what the fuck have you done?
[24:53] What have you done?
[24:55] This is like bad.
[24:56] And I was so... And because like back then there would have been like no toners at home to kind of tone it.
[25:01] No, I had nothing.
[25:02] So I call my hairdresser at like 11.30 at night.
[25:04] I'm like, you're not going to believe what I've done.
[25:07] I've literally just dyed my hair bright orange.
[25:10] And she's like, come in at 6am and I'll fix it for you.
[25:13] Oh, she's a good egg.
[25:14] So she fixed it.
[25:15] But I was like crying in the bathroom.
[25:17] I will never do that again.
[25:20] Again, I'm too scared to do my own hair.
[25:22] I wouldn't even do my hair like this yeah you wouldn't no not like if it was dark I mean like if it was an emergency maybe but like yeah not that I don't trust myself anymore with my hair but you're pretty good those nails look pretty bloody fresh oh
[25:36] This is like a week old.
[25:38] What?
[25:39] I know.
[25:39] I surprise myself with this stuff sometimes.
[25:42] Are those tips, acrylic tips?
[25:44] I paint them on.
[25:45] And they've got a free hand.
[25:47] You fuck.
[25:48] It doesn't even take me that long either.
[25:50] Are you right-handed or left-handed?
[25:51] I'm right-handed.
[25:53] So how do you do the right hand?
[25:54] You just do it.
[25:55] You fuck.
[25:57] You commit.
[25:58] She's called a polymath.
[25:59] You commit.
[26:00] You're a polymath, which means good at everything.
[26:02] You just have to commit to it.
[26:03] You've got to start somewhere.
[26:06] Oh, my God.
[26:07] Honestly, it's actually quite easy.
[26:08] I was surprised.
[26:10] And I save like $120 every time I do my nails.
[26:12] Yeah.
[26:13] Oh, baby.
[26:15] Well, that's your next career if this one doesn't work out.
[26:17] You could be like a beauty multitasker.
[26:19] You could.
[26:20] I should open like a spa.
[26:21] You should.
[26:22] Teach people to DIY.
[26:23] Yeah, yes.
[26:24] Do it.
[26:24] That's actually good.
[26:25] Your YouTube tutorials.
[26:26] Yeah.
[26:28] Okay, so back to skincare.
[26:30] We digress.
[26:31] Double cleanse.
[26:32] We do the dermaplaning.
[26:34] What serums do you use in the morning?
[26:36] Do you do like a vitamin C?
[26:37] No, I usually do vitamin C at night, but I'll do like a niacomide and zinc serum.
[26:43] I never skip that step, honestly.
[26:45] Why?
[26:45] Why?
[26:46] Because I just feel like it stops my skin from breaking out.
[26:50] I don't get pimples.
[26:53] And when I stop using it, I start getting pimples again.
[26:57] And I'm like going to run to the shop when it runs out.
[27:00] And I use the ordinary one.
[27:01] Yeah.
[27:01] And I feel like the zinc's like a good barrier for your skin as well.
[27:04] Yeah.
[27:05] And I do use a barrier protect as well.
[27:07] And an SPF every day.
[27:10] Absolutely.
[27:11] Yeah.
[27:11] 50 plus.
[27:12] 50 plus.
[27:13] And a real 50 plus, not the fake stuff that's out there.
[27:16] Not the ones that slipped through the old system.
[27:18] Yeah.
[27:21] And moisturizer.
[27:22] Yeah.
[27:23] Yep.
[27:23] Lotion, cream, gel.
[27:24] Cream.
[27:26] Over the top of the SPF or does the SPF go on last?
[27:28] Yeah.
[27:28] I put the SPF on last.
[27:30] Okay.
[27:31] Yeah.
[27:31] Yeah.
[27:31] Yeah.
[27:31] Because I feel like when you put the moisturizer on, it like moves your finger around.
[27:34] Yeah.
[27:35] Definitely eye cream.
[27:36] I started using eye cream when I was like 16 years old.
[27:39] I think it's probably the only thing my mom ever, it was the only good thing my mom ever taught me was to use eye cream.
[27:46] I'm really confused with the eye creams.
[27:48] I'm always like going, which one's good, which one's not?
[27:51] And then when I use it, sometimes it burns.
[27:53] And it's an expensive one too.
[27:55] I feel like everyone's different though because like sometimes I feel like I can get sensitive skin sometimes to even like specific brands of vitamin C. I get like this like flare up on my top lip.
[28:06] Yeah, same.
[28:07] And it's like a couple of like little bumps.
[28:09] Yeah.
[28:10] And then I'll stop using that brand and I'll use another vitamin C and it's fine.
[28:13] Yeah.
[28:14] But I feel like sometimes we just have like little sensitivities to active products that can make our skin go funny.
[28:20] And everyone's different.
[28:22] And that's why I use like vitamin C at night because sometimes I just feel like it sits on your skin longer and it can absorb properly.
[28:28] But always eye cream and SPF.
[28:30] Yeah.
[28:31] And top and bottom?
[28:33] Yeah.
[28:34] Yeah.
[28:34] Yeah.
[28:35] Okay.
[28:35] Well, your eyes look pretty bloody fresh.
[28:37] I know.
[28:37] They look really fresh.
[28:39] Yeah.
[28:39] I want your eye cream.
[28:40] Yeah.
[28:41] What is it?
[28:42] I'd always pronounce it wrong.
[28:44] Dermalogic.
[28:45] Demologica.
[28:45] Yeah, Demologica.
[28:46] Demologica.
[28:46] Good old Demologica.
[28:47] Yeah.
[28:48] There you go.
[28:48] That's writing down.
[28:50] Yeah.
[28:51] It's like in a blue, it's in a blue bottle.
[28:54] Okay.
[28:54] Little blue bottle.
[28:55] All right.
[28:56] And I love their brand and I love the ordinary as well.
[28:58] Like they're, and they're also not like insanely expensive either.
[29:01] Yeah.
[29:02] And they're very effective.
[29:03] Because like, you know, you could go out and buy La Mer and it's great, but it's like...
[29:07] $7,000.
[29:07] Yeah.
[29:07] $7,000, ain't it?
[29:09] Yeah, yeah.
[29:10] Not something my husband particularly likes.
[29:12] Oh, yeah, yeah, no.
[29:20] You said that the only thing you don't do in terms of your personal beauty routine is your hair.
[29:25] What about your tan?
[29:26] Does hubby help out with the back or do you go get a spray tan or are you self-sufficient?
[29:30] I have made myself double jointed to be able to do it myself.
[29:34] Because I travel a lot for work.
[29:36] And, you know, I'll be like on set the next day and it's just me in a hotel room.
[29:41] And I'm not joking.
[29:43] I am as pale as your paper.
[29:45] on your table.
[29:45] No way.
[29:46] Because you'd be like me.
[29:47] I am literally, yeah.
[29:48] Yeah.
[29:48] No way.
[29:49] See, I've never seen you with a skin tone like that.
[29:53] You never will.
[29:54] I'm sorry.
[29:54] That's just never going to happen.
[29:56] I love it.
[29:56] You know, unless I come out with like a tanning product one day and I'm like, this is how pale I am before.
[30:01] Yeah, yeah.
[30:02] And then after, then that's when you do it.
[30:03] Very effective.
[30:04] Yes.
[30:05] But yeah, I am so white.
[30:07] Like it's, maybe I'll embrace it one day.
[30:10] Yeah, yeah.
[30:10] Embrace the pain.
[30:11] Embrace the pain.
[30:12] I just feel gross.
[30:13] How do you do your back?
[30:14] Yeah.
[30:15] I've like... Do you do like the double-ended gloves?
[30:18] Okay, so don't get those absorbing mitts.
[30:20] Just get like gloves from, not latex, but like the... Classic ones.
[30:24] Like the kitchen gloves.
[30:25] Yeah, yeah.
[30:26] Not like the, no, not the yellow ones, but like the, you know, the blue ones that you can get, they're not latex, but they're like...
[30:31] I think I know what you're talking about.
[30:32] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[30:33] I don't know what the type, but they're the best because they don't absorb product.
[30:37] And the mitts do.
[30:38] My grandmother does that.
[30:40] She uses the kitchen gloves, though.
[30:41] I just can't get to the back.
[30:45] What you have to do, right?
[30:46] I get the glove.
[30:47] Like, I put it on the back of my hands.
[30:49] I first, like, do the tops of my shoulders around my neck like that.
[30:52] I have limited movement in this dress.
[30:54] But I do like, I put it on the back and I go like this and I like really get up and around in circular motions.
[31:02] And then I do it on the other side.
[31:04] And then I get down the sides of my lats.
[31:06] Like with each.
[31:08] Okay, so it's a process and it's a dance that you've been doing for a long time.
[31:11] Ross loves watching me.
[31:12] He's like, I'm like naked in the bathroom with his gloves on.
[31:16] That's where I've been doing it wrong because when I do my back, I use my palms, but you've got to use the back of your hands.
[31:21] Yeah, you've got to use the back of your hands.
[31:23] Because then I've just realized you go further up.
[31:24] Yes, that's what it is.
[31:25] Yeah, you can.
[31:26] See, I can only touch that.
[31:28] It's like double jointed.
[31:29] Yeah, can you do that?
[31:30] Yes, no, I can.
[31:31] I can only do it on one side.
[31:33] The right arm doesn't even get in there.
[31:35] The shoulder's a bunk shoulder.
[31:37] You need to go to the chiropractor.
[31:38] That's as high as I go, guys.
[31:39] Oh, God.
[31:40] Oh, God.
[31:41] That's the other arm.
[31:42] Whoa.
[31:43] If there's any good chiropractors out there that can help back.
[31:45] Yeah, yeah.
[31:45] So she can tan herself.
[31:46] Surely that's a tax write-off.
[31:48] Tanning or events.
[31:50] Chiropractor.
[31:50] Thank you.
[31:51] Yeah, 100%.
[31:52] 100%.
[31:52] So what's your nighttime routine?
[31:55] I usually have like a lot more products.
[31:57] I'll do like the retinols, the vitamin Cs.
[31:59] I know you're not supposed to mix, but I do because my skin can handle it.
[32:02] And I do notice a really big difference when I use them together.
[32:05] Definitely eye cream.
[32:06] I do always do the double cleanse because like makeup, dirt, sweat, just everything.
[32:11] I really get into my hairline and like in my ears, around my ears.
[32:15] I know it sounds so weird, but like, you know, when you get a Q-tip,
[32:17] Yes.
[32:18] Like, I'll get, like, makeup remover and... You go in there.
[32:21] Yeah, like, not, like, in there.
[32:23] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[32:23] But, like, just where your makeup kind of gets in.
[32:25] But your ears get so dirty and there's so many dead skin cells around your ears.
[32:28] And I just, like, it grosses me out.
[32:30] And then I'll do, like, the Q-tip to itch my brain, like, after a long day afterwards.
[32:35] But I know I'm not supposed to do that, but I do...
[32:37] I do that every night.
[32:38] Do you?
[32:39] I clean my ears every single night.
[32:40] So I'm scared to go in in case there's wax and I push it further in.
[32:44] I'm actually quite deaf.
[32:45] I think I've got like a wax ball that I need to get sucked out.
[32:47] You need to do that.
[32:48] I did that one.
[32:48] You did that one.
[32:49] I saw it.
[32:49] You need to do that.
[32:49] It looks like a hairy sultana.
[32:51] It was like all me.
[32:52] And she goes, look what I've got out of my ears.
[32:54] She showed it to me on a photo.
[32:56] And I was like...
[32:57] That is so amazing.
[32:59] I love it.
[32:59] Do you watch that on TikTok?
[33:01] All that shit on TikTok.
[33:02] The doctor sucked it out with this vacuum.
[33:04] So it was when I was doing the medical prior to doing the Amazing Race.
[33:09] And you know how you have to go and they make you just fight.
[33:12] It's a weird thing doing...
[33:14] Whole body medical because they make you do these weird things like squatting and standing up from a bent leg position.
[33:20] Like weird things.
[33:21] You have to do this.
[33:22] They're just covering their ass for insurance.
[33:24] Yeah, the mobility.
[33:25] I did it for Big Brother.
[33:26] The mobility exercises are weird.
[33:27] Yeah, it's really weird.
[33:28] Yeah, and then there's obviously these different tests and then they look in your ears and he goes, all I'm seeing is like a black wall of wax.
[33:35] Are you deaf?
[33:36] I'm like...
[33:37] I don't know, am I?
[33:38] Am I?
[33:38] What did you say?
[33:39] He goes, I'm going to get it out.
[33:40] I'm like, okay.
[33:42] And he sucked and he sucked and he sucked with this machine.
[33:46] And it felt like my brain was getting sucked out.
[33:48] But then he got it.
[33:49] And in the end, it wasn't the vacuum.
[33:51] He had to go in with these big long tweezers and he pulled it out.
[33:53] I've never seen anything like it.
[33:55] I had never seen it.
[33:56] But we'll add it on the Instagram page.
[33:58] Literally, imagine a Sultana with little hairs.
[34:02] That's my biggest fear when someone looks into my ear and they're like, what?
[34:05] What the fuck is wrong with you?
[34:06] I reckon mine, well, yours and mine would actually probably be- Can I show you a photo?
[34:10] We have nothing.
[34:11] Or we've pushed all the wax so deep inside.
[34:13] I think that's what you've done.
[34:14] Yeah, I reckon that's what I've done because I'm going deaf.
[34:17] I swear to God I am.
[34:18] And that's why I'm scared since then because I used to Q-tip all the time and now I haven't Q-tipped in my ear.
[34:24] He said don't because you've pushed all that wax in.
[34:26] Oh, my God.
[34:26] So when I was in Thailand, Darcy, my son, kept complaining of the water being stuck in his ear and then it was starting to get infected and I could smell it through his ear.
[34:35] And he's like, Mom, it's so painful.
[34:37] Anyway, I looked in his ear and I could see the black wall of wax.
[34:40] Oh, wow.
[34:41] And I pulled it out.
[34:43] First, I went to the chemist, to the Thai chemist, and I said, I kind of explained what was going on.
[34:48] She gave me some of the wax loosening drops.
[34:51] I popped that in, left that in for 24 hours.
[34:54] The next day, it was nice and loose, and I pulled it out, and it stank.
[35:00] It was disgusting, and it had all of, like, this kind of white wax around it, and it was kind of infected.
[35:06] Yes.
[35:06] It was so bad.
[35:07] Bec, I'm adding this to my list.
[35:09] Yeah, your list of why I don't want to have children.
[35:12] Yes.
[35:12] Ellie has an amazing list of why she doesn't want to have children.
[35:17] This is one of them.
[35:18] I agreed to half that.
[35:19] It depends who you ask, amazing or not.
[35:21] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[35:22] Different.
[35:23] When I saw your list, I was like, nope, I get it.
[35:26] I get that list.
[35:27] I mean, most parents did.
[35:29] That is disgusting, Bec.
[35:30] That is actually...
[35:32] I actually reckon that would make me dry reach if I look at that again.
[35:35] If you didn't want to have kids, you absolutely don't want any fucking kids.
[35:41] Oh, my God.
[35:42] No, that's so disgusting.
[35:44] I actually think I would never look at my kids the same.
[35:46] I can't.
[35:46] I was infected from a Thai swimming pool.
[35:48] I can't look at that.
[35:49] And I got it out.
[35:50] That's actually going to make me dry reach.
[35:51] It was the most satisfying feeling to get it out.
[35:56] And my son goes, oh, I can hear again.
[35:58] And the pain went away, but that's why it stank is because it was getting infected.
[36:01] It's probably a block.
[36:03] It was disgusting.
[36:04] How big was that?
[36:05] And then I did the other ear.
[36:06] Do you have like a... Oh, mate.
[36:08] Do you not clean your kid's ears?
[36:09] No, not really.
[36:10] That's disgusting.
[36:11] I clean my kid's ears at least once.
[36:12] On the outside, not on the inside.
[36:13] I'm inside, outside at least twice a week on my kid's and me every single day.
[36:17] Scratch my brain.
[36:18] That water, I can feel it when I get out of the shower.
[36:20] But it's the best.
[36:21] It's like an orgasm.
[36:22] What do you mean?
[36:23] What's like an orgasm?
[36:24] Getting you to clean your ears.
[36:25] Oh, when the water gets stuck and then you do the hop and it gets released.
[36:28] No, it's just like after a shower and just cleaning it.
[36:31] It's an everyday thing.
[36:32] Or when you go to the hairdresser and they get water in your ears and you're just like, no, this is actually driving me insane.
[36:38] Really?
[36:38] I don't like having wet ears.
[36:40] Me either.
[36:40] You guys, am I the old one out or is this like, are you guys niche?
[36:45] No, I'm Aquarius.
[36:45] You're Aquarius?
[36:46] That's absolutely amazing.
[36:48] That is weird.
[36:49] I've never heard of that.
[36:50] 1990?
[36:51] Maybe I'm in the minority.
[36:52] Where are you born?
[36:53] 91.
[36:53] Oh, 91.
[36:53] I'm 90.
[36:53] I'm older than you.
[36:54] Yeah.
[36:56] But the same.
[36:58] Same, same.
[36:59] Usually she's the youngest in the room and it's so good when she's not.
[37:02] I'm not.
[37:02] Yeah, this is the first time being not the youngest in the room.
[37:06] So what do you do for wellness and exercise or like spirituality?
[37:11] Are you saunaing?
[37:12] Are you kumbaya?
[37:13] No, I'm not.
[37:14] I'm not really spiritual at all, really.
[37:17] But I started fitness when I was like 18, 14.
[37:19] For my job.
[37:21] And it was like very specific.
[37:22] Like I started finding the experts in their field because I wanted to look a certain way.
[37:25] And I think like at that age, all I wanted to be was a Victoria's Secret angel.
[37:30] Yeah.
[37:30] And I was like, I trained my ass off because I moved to America when I was 23.
[37:34] And I was like, that's like my peak goal.
[37:37] Haven't got there yet.
[37:38] Probably will get there.
[37:38] You'll get there.
[37:39] In a year.
[37:40] Yeah, you know, put it out there.
[37:41] Put it out there.
[37:43] But I literally, that was my ultimate goal.
[37:45] And when I started taking my work really, really seriously, I found all the experts that I could learn everything from, like, naturopaths, PTs, like…
[37:55] athletes, like I started asking everyone the questions that I wanted answers to.
[37:59] Like, how can I get this part of my leg like dialed in a little bit more?
[38:03] How can I like, you know, get my like abs popping a little bit more?
[38:07] How can I get a 23 centimeter waist?
[38:10] Period.
[38:11] Yes.
[38:12] But yeah, I started taking it really seriously.
[38:14] So I love weight training.
[38:17] I've always had PT no matter like what I've done over the years.
[38:21] I do love like Pilates classes, Reforma, Hot Room.
[38:25] Hot room gets me ripped like so quickly.
[38:27] So if I'm like dropping weight for anything, and because I do like I'm in a maintenance phase pretty much most of the time.
[38:33] Yeah.
[38:34] But if I have like a really big job that I really want to be super dialed in for, I will do hot room.
[38:40] I will do like that extra cardio in like long clothes to make me sweat.
[38:45] I'll do saunas.
[38:47] I also do lymphatic drainage.
[38:49] Okay.
[38:49] So there's a program that you like, I need to dial in for this job.
[38:52] I'm switching on and I'm ramping shit up here.
[38:55] Yeah.
[38:55] It's interesting you say that about the hot Pilates because our husbands go to hot Pilates together in the morning.
[39:02] My hubby, he's ex-professional athlete and has always been completely ripped, right?
[39:06] Jess's hubby, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
[39:10] However, he has gone from like hot dad to like super ripped.
[39:15] His body is insane.
[39:17] How many kilos has he lost?
[39:19] Because he was a normal like fit guy anyway to begin with.
[39:22] And now he's just.
[39:23] And then all of a sudden.
[39:24] He's just muscle.
[39:25] He is ripped.
[39:26] And it's hot Pilates every day.
[39:28] I'm telling you.
[39:29] He goes five mornings a week.
[39:30] At 5.30, 6 o'clock in the morning.
[39:32] He does not miss a beat.
[39:33] And that's all he does.
[39:34] And that's all he does.
[39:35] And he is shred.
[39:37] Like.
[39:38] It's so hard.
[39:38] Yeah.
[39:39] It's literally like, and you've got no, like you've got the little hand weights, but it's literally some of the hardest things fitness-wise that you will ever do.
[39:46] Oh, Pilates.
[39:46] For extra shred.
[39:47] And her husband, when they take their shirts off, I look at Chris and Val, I'm like, oh, yeah.
[39:51] Delphi.
[39:52] You used to be like, look at Chris.
[39:54] And now it's like, you guys look like twins.
[39:56] Just one's like, you know, 190 centimeters, 176.
[40:00] They're both hot, bold men, though.
[40:02] We love hot, bold men.
[40:03] We do love hot, bold men.
[40:04] Hot, hot mat Pilates will humble anyone, I'm telling you.
[40:07] Yeah.
[40:08] But fittest like athlete, you go do hot Pilates on a mat, it will break you.
[40:12] It'll break you.
[40:12] No, I did a couple of sessions a few weeks ago and I actually really loved it.
[40:17] But I go to bed the time that my husband gets up to go to it.
[40:20] And I was like, I can't do this.
[40:21] Do you know what?
[40:22] I will do it with you, but I'm not doing a 5.30am.
[40:24] But if we can find like one that's during school hours.
[40:29] Do you know why the boys do it early though?
[40:31] And you might have done it early as well.
[40:32] Because they have to go to the office.
[40:33] No, it's not that.
[40:34] It's actually like, well, that is a little bit, but...
[40:37] when they turn the room on, it's not as hot when you go in for that first class.
[40:40] By the time you go to the eight o'clock class, it is boiling in there.
[40:44] Yeah.
[40:44] And that's when our husbands do struggle.
[40:47] If they go in to the 8.30 class, they're dying.
[40:50] Yeah.
[40:50] But if they go out to the six o'clock class, they can manage it.
[40:54] And like busy classes, it's hotter too just because there's so many bodies in the room.
[40:57] Yes.
[40:58] So many.
[40:58] So many.
[40:59] But that's the best part.
[41:00] You get just to sweat it all out.
[41:01] Sweat it all out.
[41:02] I know.
[41:03] I know.
[41:03] So hot Pilates…
[41:05] Lymphatic drainage.
[41:06] Yeah, I've done that.
[41:07] It's so good.
[41:08] Is it?
[41:08] Yeah, we need to do a potty on that actually.
[41:09] Yeah, there's a great lady who does it.
[41:11] Lily, and she's insane.
[41:13] Yeah, I go to a Brazilian chick on the Gold Coast and she's like, she's incredible.
[41:17] She's incredible.
[41:17] Yeah.
[41:18] So you train five days a week, six days, seven days a week?
[41:21] Five to six.
[41:22] It just depends.
[41:22] Like sometimes on the weekend, I'm like, oh.
[41:25] I just don't really want to train today.
[41:27] Yeah.
[41:27] And it's the weekend.
[41:28] Yeah.
[41:28] And that stay up.
[41:29] Or like I'll go for a walk with Daisy and my husband Ross.
[41:32] Like I'll just do something active.
[41:36] But if my weekend's like packed, I don't stress too much.
[41:38] Like if I'm usually like Monday to Friday, I'm happy.
[41:42] You're happy.
[41:43] Yeah.
[41:43] So what is your favorite treatment or product that you swear by?
[41:49] I don't know if there's just one.
[41:52] Yeah.
[41:53] Treatment or product.
[41:54] Actually, do you know what?
[41:55] Anti-wrinkle.
[41:56] All day.
[41:57] Yeah.
[41:57] All day.
[41:59] Yeah.
[42:00] And like, honestly, I haven't really ever spoken too much about like what I've had done online because I feel like you need to say it in the right format where it's not going to be taken out of context.
[42:11] It's not going to be like, you can't really say it in stories.
[42:14] I don't really usually like to sit there because I know a lot of young girls also follow me as well.
[42:18] So I'm always really cautious about that.
[42:19] But, you know, I'm 34 years old.
[42:21] Yeah.
[42:21] And you don't have a wrinkle.
[42:23] I'm in the industry that I'm in.
[42:24] Yeah.
[42:24] Because I have very strong 11 lines.
[42:26] Like my eyebrows are very, very strong muscles.
[42:30] Yeah.
[42:30] And then I also get it in my chin as well.
[42:33] Yeah, same.
[42:34] Do you get that dimpling, like the orange peel?
[42:36] Oh, yeah.
[42:36] I hate it.
[42:37] I don't know.
[42:37] I hate it.
[42:39] I absolutely hate it.
[42:39] I don't get the dimmine at my level.
[42:40] It's horrible.
[42:41] It's awful.
[42:42] And like, because, yeah, I just have really strong muscles in my face.
[42:44] So do you have to get it more often than most?
[42:47] No, I usually get it done every six months.
[42:49] What?
[42:50] Yeah.
[42:50] And do you sauna?
[42:52] Yeah.
[42:53] I sauna.
[42:54] I just chew through it now.
[42:55] I need it every six weeks now.
[42:57] But also, I feel like it's what you use.
[42:59] So, like, I think there's different brands of things and there's one that I do use because I used to use a different brand.
[43:07] And you chew through it.
[43:08] Yeah, and I noticed my body just metabolized it so quickly.
[43:12] Yes.
[43:13] And then the girl who does my stuff, she was just like, let's try this instead.
[43:17] Okay.
[43:18] Because I also train a lot of strength training.
[43:20] When I strength train, I'm like, don't frown, don't frown, don't frown.
[43:23] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[43:24] She's like, don't frown.
[43:25] And she's like, don't chew gum.
[43:26] Because I have like really strong masseters as well.
[43:29] And she's like, oh, do you want a little bit in there?
[43:30] And I'm like, no, I don't want to change the shape of my face.
[43:33] Yeah.
[43:33] I have had like a little bit of filler to balance out one side of my face.
[43:39] Because you know when you sleep?
[43:40] Yeah.
[43:41] One side changes.
[43:42] Generally sleep on one side.
[43:43] And chew on one side as well.
[43:45] Yeah.
[43:45] I only chew on my right side.
[43:46] It's completely asymmetrical to the left.
[43:48] And I think it's because that's where I do all the chewing.
[43:50] But you lose volume in your skin over time.
[43:54] So I've done a little bit to balance out like the profile of my face.
[43:58] Yeah, I did it last week.
[43:59] I don't want to change my face.
[44:01] No.
[44:01] I don't.
[44:02] You've got an amazing face.
[44:03] Yeah.
[44:03] You've got a great face card, babe.
[44:05] Oh my God, your face.
[44:06] Face card.
[44:06] Yeah.
[44:07] Amazing.
[44:08] What does that mean?
[44:09] Face card.
[44:09] It's a face.
[44:10] A face card doesn't decline.
[44:11] Yeah, it's like the, you know, you get a platinum Amex or something.
[44:15] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[44:16] Literally, it's like when someone's got the perfect face.
[44:18] Like, I love the face card.
[44:20] You've got a great face card.
[44:21] Yeah, thank you.
[44:22] Have you ever had biostimulators?
[44:24] Like the salmon sperm?
[44:26] No, actually, do you know what?
[44:27] I...
[44:28] And there's a whole range of new ones.
[44:30] I would try that.
[44:31] I don't have any... Because you know how people get it under their eyes?
[44:33] You have good eyes.
[44:34] I don't need to touch my eyes.
[44:36] So don't fix what's not broken.
[44:38] You know, that's kind of how I feel.
[44:40] So those more sort of invasive treatments...
[44:44] I'll wait until I'm a little bit older.
[44:46] And like, look, I'm not opposed to surgery.
[44:48] I would go and get a facelift at 60 if I feel like it.
[44:51] Like, I feel like everybody gets to make that decision for themselves.
[44:54] So I'm not for and like against certain procedures and things.
[44:58] And it's like, you just do what you need, do what makes you happy.
[45:01] And I never want to like, I've got a really good girl that I work with.
[45:04] And it's like, you just, you never want to go over the top.
[45:07] So always finding someone who doesn't.
[45:09] just you don't go in on a whim and you're having a shitty day and you're like, oh my God, I just feel like crap.
[45:14] Like give me everything you've got.
[45:15] Give me new lifts.
[45:16] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[45:17] Like, you know, give me all this.
[45:18] Like, so she's really good and I never ever go in when I'm on my period or just before my period.
[45:24] Yes, God.
[45:25] Because I literally just feel like rubbish.
[45:27] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[45:28] Give me everything.
[45:30] Just like, yeah, literally.
[45:31] And she's like, I feel like you're really hard on yourself today.
[45:34] Yeah, yeah.
[45:34] I love my period.
[45:35] Yeah, exactly.
[45:36] The thing with plastic surgeons now that you're not allowed to, when you have a consult, you're not allowed to book in the treatment on that day as well.
[45:44] That's good though.
[45:45] It's like a cooling off period.
[45:46] Yeah.
[45:46] Because there's so many different psychological and emotional factors that go into making these decisions.
[45:51] Mm.
[45:52] And, yeah, you might be having a really bad day.
[45:53] You might have had a really bad breakup.
[45:55] You might be PMSing and you've just got to have that cooling off period and just really think about it because there are a lot of invasive things that people do and you can't just be booking them willy-nilly.
[46:05] Exactly.
[46:06] Yeah.
[46:06] I also, like, I tried – I did try a lip flip.
[46:11] Oh, yeah.
[46:12] Oh, with the anti-wrinkle?
[46:13] Yeah.
[46:13] I've done that.
[46:15] I didn't like it.
[46:16] Not for me.
[46:17] I didn't like it.
[46:17] You can't suck out of a straw.
[46:18] No.
[46:19] No.
[46:20] You can't eat a bowl of soup.
[46:21] You can't wrap your lips around the spoon.
[46:24] You can't wrap your lips around anything.
[46:27] Ross is like, are you all right?
[46:31] This feels different.
[46:32] But I just feel like it, because I was like, oh, just like, it would be, like, I don't,
[46:37] I don't want to put anything in my lips.
[46:39] But I was like, I just would love my lips to just be like a little bit more like that.
[46:42] And I tried it and I was like, it's not really worth it.
[46:45] Like it didn't really do too much.
[46:46] It just kind of like made my top lip not move, which was fucking weird.
[46:50] It is very weird.
[46:51] And when you're like talking to the camera and you can't move your lips, it's hard.
[46:54] It's strange, yeah.
[46:55] So do you just, your lips look so beautiful and full.
[46:58] Were you born with those lips or have you overdrawn them a lot?
[47:02] I do overdraw them.
[47:03] I do have like...
[47:04] powdery lips I always have since I was like a little kid but yeah I do I do overdraw the top yeah yeah they look great thanks I just like those um Huda Beauty like lip tattoo thing like the liners they're great they don't wipe off so good yeah so good so I wanted to ask obviously you've been working in Hollywood for a long time now has that changed how you see beauty and perceive it
[47:30] Yeah, I mean, yeah, it does, definitely.
[47:33] I think early on, I always was like, oh, I would contemplate getting a nose job because I feel like I got a lot of flack early on in my career for my nose on like those disgusting blogs that like men would talk about how women and they would rate them.
[47:49] Really?
[47:49] Like, I don't.
[47:50] To me, you look like you've got the most perfect nose ever.
[47:54] Well, I mean, it's like I always thought it's a bit flary.
[47:57] It's so beautiful.
[48:00] I did get anti-wrinkle in my nose to stop the flares.
[48:03] Does it flare?
[48:04] Did you?
[48:04] I love it.
[48:04] But it still flares.
[48:05] It's cute.
[48:05] And is that like...
[48:07] And is that because of something you've read?
[48:09] Like, did you ever think that or was it just because you read it on a blog about yourself that then it made you self-conscious and you're like, I don't like my nose now.
[48:15] Yeah, yeah.
[48:15] See, that's fucked.
[48:16] It definitely made me feel like so because I was young, like I was like 19 and it was a website called, it was, I'm not even going to name it because it's not even around anymore, but it was this awful guy and he used to just rate all these girls and would say things that were wrong with them.
[48:32] and like the most like stunning girls were on there at the time.
[48:35] Like I was like, how can you find something wrong with all of these women?
[48:38] But it definitely made me feel more self-conscious.
[48:40] But then like over time, I'm like, you know what?
[48:44] It doesn't bother me that much.
[48:46] And then I was like, do you know what?
[48:47] Like, at the same time, like, why does everyone want to look the same?
[48:51] I know.
[48:51] You know?
[48:51] Like, I don't really want to change my face because when you're in movies and when you're modeling and doing all these things, people are, like, looking for something different.
[49:01] They are.
[49:02] 100%.
[49:02] And that's the thing.
[49:03] When you look at all the actors and stuff –
[49:05] They've got character in their face.
[49:07] Yeah.
[49:07] You know, and the ones that do get all the plastic surgery are usually the ones that kind of lose their jobs.
[49:11] Yeah.
[49:12] We've seen that.
[49:12] Yeah.
[49:13] Yeah.
[49:13] And there's so many, you see them, content creators, influencers, and they all go to the same people and they all look the same.
[49:22] Same.
[49:22] They've all, there's nothing that separates them.
[49:24] They've got the cat eyes and the, and I mean, that's like, they look stunning.
[49:28] Don't get me wrong.
[49:29] These girls look amazing, but there's no individuality anymore.
[49:32] And what Jess and I were talking about on an earlier episode of Vanished was the casting on the White Lotus 3 and the two main female characters both had the non-traditional smiles.
[49:43] Like they had the gappy teeth and the like the crooked teeth.
[49:45] And we love that because it was them and it added to their character.
[49:48] They were hot.
[49:49] And they were hot.
[49:50] They were beautiful.
[49:51] And they had...
[49:52] They're normal human teeth and not perfectly straightened white and veneers.
[49:56] And we loved it.
[49:57] You want to still be relatable.
[49:58] And especially in the acting industry, you've got to relate to that character in some sort of way to be emotional.
[50:04] I also want my face to still move.
[50:07] I don't, you know, I'm not like, don't make my face move.
[50:10] It has to move your job.
[50:11] It has to, yeah.
[50:12] I still have to like... Look like you're crying.
[50:14] Yeah, exactly.
[50:15] And be sad or angry.
[50:16] Exactly.
[50:17] Mine doesn't have that.
[50:18] Yeah.
[50:19] For anyone listening who's just starting out in the industry, acting or modelling,
[50:26] Do you have any advice now, given like pressure on looks and what we just said, then about, you know, you reading these comments about you and then about your nose and then you thinking, do I need to get a nose job because some dickhead said it on the internet?
[50:40] What would you tell younger Ellie in regards to that?
[50:43] Just not care what people think.
[50:44] Yeah.
[50:44] Let them.
[50:45] Yeah.
[50:45] Yeah.
[50:46] Like I monetized my, the way that I look very well.
[50:50] And, you know, I've done jobs that people dream of and what I dreamed of as a kid and
[50:55] you know, this little nose helped me get there.
[50:57] Yeah.
[50:58] That little perfect nose got you there, babe.
[51:00] Yeah.
[51:01] You know, everyone's different.
[51:03] If it really bothers you to the point of you really want to do something about it, I'm all for that.
[51:07] Yeah.
[51:07] Like, I really am.
[51:08] But it never bothered me to the point where I was like, it's a risky job.
[51:12] Like, you know, getting a nose job is very risky and things can go wrong and happen and
[51:17] And I was like, it doesn't really bother me that much.
[51:19] And then I just grew to like how I look because… I like how you look.
[51:23] You're hot.
[51:24] You're hot.
[51:24] You're so hot.
[51:26] I just find the irony is that I bet people take a photo of your nose to their plastic surgeon and say, give me her nose.
[51:32] Yeah.
[51:32] See, that's so funny to me.
[51:34] Yeah, like, honestly.
[51:35] They would.
[51:36] They definitely would.
[51:38] Just make sure when you take a photo of my nose, like, that you can't see, like, directly up it.
[51:43] Yeah.
[51:45] Mine too, I'm so asymmetrical.
[51:47] It's so crazy.
[51:48] Even when I was a little baby, there's a photo of me.
[51:50] I'm about four months old.
[51:51] I'm propped up and the camera's underneath.
[51:53] And you could even see then how wonky my nostrils were.
[51:56] I was just born like that.
[51:57] Mine are too.
[51:59] Like, and that's funny because it looks like symmetrical when you're looking onto me, but then when you actually see it.
[52:04] Yeah, look at mine.
[52:05] Look at mine.
[52:05] I'm the same.
[52:06] Mine look like bowling balls.
[52:09] All need no jokes.
[52:12] Me and my dad always used to joke.
[52:14] Like we put our fingers, because we were very similar looking.
[52:16] We'd put our fingers in our nose and pretend it's a bowling ball.
[52:21] So last question.
[52:22] Yeah.
[52:22] Last question.
[52:23] What has been your most vainish moment of all time?
[52:28] Oh, um...
[52:32] In terms of like where I've been like, oh, I'm being really vain right now.
[52:36] Being really vain right now.
[52:38] Yeah.
[52:38] And I don't care.
[52:39] I mean this all the time.
[52:41] Just ask my husband all the time.
[52:43] I think you've given us a couple today.
[52:45] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[52:46] The nails.
[52:47] The tanny.
[52:48] Yeah, yeah.
[52:49] I love that.
[52:50] You'll never see you not tanned.
[52:51] All the time.
[52:52] Yeah, yeah.
[52:53] I mean, yeah, exactly.
[52:54] Yeah.
[52:55] But all the time.
[52:56] Yeah.
[52:56] Because that's, I feel like that's like my past.
[53:02] I do have one sneaky little last question.
[53:03] Yeah.
[53:04] Just a super cheap beauty buy because our audience love this.
[53:08] Like the cheapest thing in your beauty box that you love.
[53:12] That's like a chemist brand or something.
[53:14] I would say probably The Ordinary.
[53:16] Like super effect.
[53:17] But my skin is always so good with The Ordinary.
[53:20] Yeah.
[53:21] And they're just, they're really cheap products.
[53:23] Amazing.
[53:24] Amazing.
[53:25] Thank you.
[53:26] Thank you so much.
[53:26] My pleasure.
[53:27] That was so fun.
[53:28] I just like laid it all out today for the first time for everyone.
[53:31] It's so good.
[53:31] I love the ribs.
[53:32] I love it.
[53:32] I love the ribs.
[53:33] That's the best.
[53:35] That is the best.
[53:36] Thank you so much for coming on.
[53:38] Thanks for having me.
[53:39] That's it for another episode of Veinish.
[53:41] We'll see you next week, babe.
[53:41] Bye.
[53:49] Bye.
