[0:05] I'm Bec Judd.
[0:06] And I'm Jess Roberts.
[0:07] And we're done with the smoke and mirrors.
[0:09] Fainish shares honest stories about what it takes to look amazing because we did not wake up like this.
[0:15] And you should know the stuff that we chat about on this podcast is based on our personal experiences.
[0:21] We're sharing it for your entertainment.

[0:49] Hi guys, it's Bec Jard and Jess Roberts and welcome to Vanish.
[0:53] Welcome to Vanish.
[0:53] Let's talk.
[0:54] Let's talk.
[0:56] 90s.
[0:57] Actually, you were born in the 90s.
[0:58] I was born in the 90s.
[0:59] Childhood crushes that were like quite niche and a little bit odd and a little bit different.
[1:05] Yeah.
[1:05] Because you had the standard ones.
[1:07] then was like anyone who you were like obsessed with.
[1:11] You know, like I'm talking about like Billie Eilish's crush on Justin Bieber.
[1:16] That she became a pop star so she could just meet him.
[1:20] Yeah, she manifested that.
[1:21] Yeah, she goes, how I'm going to meet Justin Bieber is actually become famous.
[1:24] Yeah, and become a pop star.
[1:25] Then I sing on festivals with him and shows.
[1:27] I'm like, that is smart.
[1:29] Yeah.
[1:29] But she knew like crazy stuff.
[1:31] Like the hospital he was born in at what time, who delivered him, like all that like crazy, like whose teachers were, what school he went to, what room, classroom he was in, who his classmates were like crazy.
[1:43] It's like your family knowing about Chris.
[1:46] And you're like, I don't know who you're talking about.
[1:49] Yeah, that was my mum when she set me up with him.
[1:51] Yeah, yeah.
[1:52] I'm like, okay.
[1:53] Full fangirl.
[1:54] She sent me a photo of him.
[1:55] It's like, what do you think?
[1:56] I'm like, oh, he's all right.
[1:57] He's all right, yeah.
[1:57] Yeah.
[1:58] Who is he?
[1:58] Yeah, I was living overseas.
[1:59] So I'm like, yeah, okay.
[2:01] She's like, all right.
[2:01] And then she went and did her thing.
[2:03] Oh, my God.
[2:03] She's so good.
[2:04] Yeah.
[2:05] Anyway, that's a story for another day.
[2:06] But hey, so.
[2:08] Who was yours?
[2:09] I'm going to sing a song.
[2:10] Let me know if you know it.
[2:11] Okay.
[2:12] P.S.
[2:12] Disclaimer,
[2:15] I feel like you're okay.
[2:16] I'm good at most things in life, but I can't dance and I can't sing.
[2:20] I cannot sing at all.
[2:21] Okay.
[2:22] And now if you were a child, like an older millennial, you're going to know this for sure, unless I completely butcher it, which is very possible.
[2:29] Okay.
[2:30] You remind me of the babe.
[2:31] What babe?
[2:32] The babe with the power.
[2:33] What power?
[2:34] Power of voodoo.
[2:35] Who do you do?
[2:36] Do what remind me of the babe?
[2:37] No, I've never heard of that song.
[2:40] Ever.
[2:40] So my baby crying hard as babe could cry.
[2:46] What could I do?
[2:48] My baby's love had gone and left my baby blue.
[2:53] See my face?
[2:54] I have no idea.
[2:57] What kind of magic spell to do?
[3:01] Is this a kids show or is this like an adult show?
[3:03] Okay, you're showing your age.
[3:05] It is Jareth the Goblin King played by David Bowie on Labyrinth.
[3:10] No, I don't know any of that.
[3:11] Oh my God.
[3:13] I was so hot for him in the 80s.
[3:15] I'm just trying to think what David Bowie looks like.
[3:18] Fuck, how old are you?
[3:20] Get with the program.
[3:21] David Bowie.
[3:22] Is he the one with the different color face?
[3:25] No.
[3:25] Different colored eyes.
[3:27] Eyes.
[3:28] But is there like a thing where he has like orange?
[3:30] Oh, it may be one of his album covers.
[3:31] Okay, yeah, yeah.
[3:32] All right, so I'm going to show you what Jareth the Goblin King.
[3:34] This is my biggest crush.
[3:35] Like my biggest crush, late 80s, early 90s.
[3:39] This is from the movie Labyrinth that came out in 86.
[3:41] Okay.
[3:43] I loved anyone.
[3:45] with this hairdo.
[3:47] Oh, my God.
[3:48] Stop.
[3:50] I have never, ever seen that in my life.
[3:52] It's an 80s mullet.
[3:53] What?
[3:54] It's David Bowie.
[3:55] Google Goblin King Labyrinth, David Bowie.
[3:59] And he danced in these little grey tights.
[4:03] And you could see his, you know what?
[4:05] And all the kids were hot for it.
[4:07] He did this little dance.
[4:08] Is he circumcised or not?
[4:09] You could see him all these little grey leggings.
[4:11] Stop.
[4:12] And as a child watching him walk around singing dance magic,
[4:17] In those little things, with his dick showing, everyone was like, That's trauma.
[4:21] It's like... That is trauma.
[4:23] But everyone had the hots for him.
[4:24] Really?
[4:24] Yeah, because he was like the bad guy.
[4:26] So hang on, so this was on a kid's show that's like on ABC.
[4:28] Kids movie, Labyrinth.
[4:30] No, it was like at the movies.
[4:32] Okay, so it's a movie.
[4:33] It's a movie.
[4:34] It's a movie.
[4:34] I think it's a TV show.
[4:35] No, Labyrinth.
[4:36] Labyrinth, the movie.
[4:37] No, I haven't seen it.
[4:38] You haven't seen it?
[4:39] We're going to see it.
[4:40] We're going to watch.
[4:40] I'm going to make you watch it with us.
[4:42] But you know, I'm the girl that hasn't watched Kill Bill.
[4:43] I'm the girl that hasn't watched Pulp Fiction.
[4:45] I'm the girl that hasn't watched...
[4:48] I can't even think about anything else.
[4:49] Oh my God, that is not hot at all.
[4:51] But whatever.
[4:52] Do you know what else at that time?
[4:53] I loved a man with a mullet.
[4:55] So this Goblin King, David Bowie's got this like white 80s.
[4:59] like there's a blonde wig.
[5:00] Yeah.
[5:01] The lead singer of Poison at the time as well.
[5:03] Yeah.
[5:04] Had this band Poison, had like a blonde mullet.
[5:07] Loved.
[5:07] So I was born in the 90s, so all the mullets were gone.
[5:10] True.
[5:11] When I was born.
[5:12] And I'm not, the first ever mullet I actually ever physically saw was Bailey Smith's mullet.
[5:17] Like I know.
[5:18] No way.
[5:18] That was like physically saw in real life, because I've never seen a real life mullet before, except for photos of back in the 80s of my parents.
[5:25] Yeah, because your dad... My dad.
[5:27] Oh, my God, your dad looked like the Goblin King in his wedding photos at your house.
[5:32] I've seen your mum and dad's wedding photos.
[5:34] Can you ask your dad, let's get Mark, like you've got to talk to Mark, Mark is Jess's dad.
[5:39] Ask Mark, were you inspired by David Bowie's hair in the movie Labyrinth?
[5:44] Yeah, yeah.
[5:44] Because he's got the blonde spiky mullet.
[5:46] He does.
[5:47] Oh, I would have thought your dad was hot in the 80s.
[5:49] That's the one thing mum said to him on their wedding day.
[5:52] Mum and dad got married like 86, 87.
[5:55] Mum said, the one thing you have to do on your wedding day is cut that mullet off.
[5:58] Dad's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[6:00] Mum walks down the aisle and all the photos of my mum's face with her mouth wide open.
[6:04] Dad was standing there with his mullet.
[6:05] He goes, oh, I just didn't have time.
[6:07] Mum's like, I had to do glam.
[6:09] I had to do this.
[6:10] You didn't have time?
[6:11] He goes, I had to stump a house in the morning before I came to the wedding.
[6:14] I was like, I only just wanted to end up stumping a house.
[6:17] That's so typical of Mark.
[6:19] That is so funny.
[6:20] Do you know who my biggest crush was?
[6:21] Tell me who.
[6:22] Yeah.
[6:22] David Bronaz from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and his name was Angel.
[6:26] Oh, Angel from Buffy.
[6:30] Okay, hang on.
[6:30] I think I'm onto it but I'm just going to do a little Google image.
[6:34] My first email address was jessbrithamond at hotmail.com and my password was iloveangel.
[6:47] And then I went to school and told everyone my password.
[6:49] So everyone would get on to my emails, jump on MSN and MySpace and pretended to be me.
[6:55] Because I was in the era of MySpace and MSN.
[6:58] David Bronaz.
[7:00] Oh, I loved him.
[7:02] That was like in 2001, 2002.
[7:03] He looks like a bit like what my husband used to look like.
[7:07] When he had hair.
[7:08] Oh my God.
[7:09] I'm going to do a side by side.
[7:11] Oh, I find Johnny so hot.
[7:13] When my mum sent a photo of Chris and said, what do you think about this guy?
[7:17] He pretty much looked like that.
[7:19] Yes.
[7:20] Just like Chris got blue eyes.
[7:21] That is so funny.
[7:22] Chris has got blue eyes.
[7:23] That's hilarious.
[7:24] That was my primary school crush.
[7:27] And then that was my password was I love Angel.
[7:29] And then I, of course, it's a password that you meant to keep secret.
[7:32] I didn't leave anything secretive at all.
[7:34] I told everyone.
[7:34] You never do.
[7:35] So everyone would go on MSN and do chat rooms pretending to be me.
[7:38] And I'd come to school and I'd have five boyfriends.
[7:41] And I'm like, Jess, you've got your dating.
[7:42] This person, this.
[7:43] And I was like, what do you mean?
[7:45] And like the guys would get on pretending to be me.
[7:47] And like, should we date?
[7:48] Should we date?
[7:49] So I'd come to school with like five different boyfriends.
[7:50] Oh my God, that's hectic.
[7:51] And then I'd have to break up with them all.
[7:52] I had trauma.
[7:53] I was like, I don't like any of you boys.
[7:54] Stop oversharing, babe.
[7:56] I know, I know.
[7:57] Yeah, that was my crush.
[7:58] Okay.
[7:58] Yeah.
[7:58] No, he's pretty hot.
[7:59] Yeah.
[7:59] What about high school?
[8:00] Not as niche as mine, babe.
[8:02] High school crush.
[8:02] High school.
[8:03] I was a sucker for, I liked Liam Gallagher.
[8:08] Those Pommy, like those UK haircuts.
[8:11] Yeah.
[8:11] And those David Beckham haircuts.
[8:13] I remember when he'd do a haircut and then at the next week at school, every boy had that haircut.
[8:18] Yes.
[8:18] Remember when he shaved his head, but he had like the lines through it?
[8:21] I don't know.
[8:21] Or he had the moho.
[8:22] What's his name?
[8:22] David Gallagher.
[8:23] David Beckham.
[8:24] Oh, Dave Beckham.
[8:24] Yeah, yeah.
[8:25] Remember he said, so at that time it was like Liam Gallagher, lead singer of Oasis and David Beckham era.
[8:30] That was my high school.
[8:31] Like they were the guys of the moment.
[8:33] That was my primary school.
[8:35] Ah, yeah.
[8:35] Because we were in Catholic school.
[8:36] People weren't doing their hair styles.
[8:38] No, no.
[8:39] So who mine was in high school?
[8:41] 50 Cent.
[8:45] I was in love with 50 Cent.
[8:49] Oh, my gosh.
[8:52] He was just so hot.
[8:54] Probably he's still hot.
[8:55] But like I had the biggest crush on him.
[8:57] I thought he was gorgeous.
[8:58] He could rap.
[8:59] He could sing.
[9:00] He was dangerous.
[9:01] I was like, I'm going to marry him.
[9:03] But he's like 20 years older than me, so I couldn't.
[9:05] But I had the biggest crush on 50 Cent.
[9:08] That was like my high school crush.
[9:10] I did not see that coming.
[9:11] I don't know.
[9:12] David Broinac's 50 cents.
[9:13] Do you still find them hot?
[9:15] Oh, yeah.
[9:15] Yeah.
[9:15] Actually, I don't know even what David Broinac's looks like.
[9:19] I like 50 Cent.
[9:20] I think he's still cute.
[9:21] I love 50 Cent for his attitude and he just goes after people.
[9:25] That's what I love.
[9:27] Like that whole, the whole Ditty thing he did just to take him down.
[9:30] Yeah.
[9:30] And they're like, whoa.
[9:31] But also what he did to Jarl.
[9:32] Yeah.
[9:33] He had a beef on with Jarl and what he did is just makes it so public.
[9:36] So public.
[9:37] He went, so Jarl was doing a concert.
[9:38] He must be an Aquarian with an Aries rising sign.
[9:41] Must be, yeah.
[9:42] He literally, for Ja Rule concert, he booked all the three or four throws out all around the stadium.
[9:50] So when you're a singer or a rapper, you get on stage, you only can see the first three or four rows because all the lights are there and then it's all dark.
[9:58] So when Ja Rule got on stage, he couldn't see any of the crowd because 50 Cent had bought all the seats all in front of the stage.
[10:05] So he felt like he had to perform in front of like no one.
[10:08] I was like, that is so cool.
[10:11] I do like Jarrell's music though, but I don't even know what the beef was about.
[10:13] But I had the biggest crush on 50 Cent in high school.
[10:17] So good.
[10:17] Yeah.
[10:18] I like the pommies.
[10:19] I like the pommy boys.
[10:20] The accent.
[10:21] Oh, actually, Jude Law.
[10:22] I had a crush on Jude Law.
[10:23] Did you?
[10:24] Yeah.
[10:25] I had a crush on Jude Law late teens.
[10:28] Okay.
[10:28] I think because of the accent.
[10:31] But then he cheated on Sienna.
[10:32] I was like, who?
[10:32] He cheated on Sienna Miller.
[10:33] No, no, no.
[10:34] Anyone who's cheated, no.
[10:36] Ick.
[10:36] No.
[10:37] Anyway.
[10:37] All right.
[10:38] There you go.
[10:39] Go and watch The Labyrinth.
[10:41] Yeah.
[10:41] Watch it with me on the week.
[10:42] Your kids will love it too.
[10:43] In the car, we can listen to 50 Cent.
[10:45] Yeah.
[10:45] Never say no to 50 Cent.
[10:46] Just a little bit.
[10:48] Baby girl, just a little bit.
[10:49] You can head to the crib in a little bit.
[10:51] I'm going to show you how I live in a little bit.
[10:54] I'm going to butt your pants just a little bit.
[10:56] That's a bit naughty.
[11:08] Jess and I recently got keratin bond extensions.
[11:11] Kirby Lago came and installed them.
[11:14] Installed.
[11:14] Installed them.
[11:15] Installed them for us with great lengths and we loved them.
[11:18] We loved them.
[11:18] I'm obsessed.
[11:19] I'm never turning back.
[11:19] Yeah.
[11:20] We also got inspiration of having the keratin bonds because of one of our friends has got them done.
[11:25] Yes.
[11:25] Havana Brown.
[11:26] Yes.
[11:26] She came in and Jess and I were like, oh, well, you're like, tell us about your hair.
[11:30] Like, give us all your hair secrets.
[11:32] She looks so amazing.
[11:32] And she shared with us that she had the keratin bond and we just pretty much copied her.
[11:37] We were influenced by her.
[11:39] And when we were actually in the process of having the bond applied, we were just having this off camera banter chat that got picked up and we're talking about it.
[11:51] when we'd eaten food that had almost killed us.
[11:53] And I was talking about how my husband almost got killed by a piece of lamb that had lassoed itself around his back.
[11:59] And Havana was listening and she's like, I've got one for you guys too.
[12:03] So I've got her on the phone.
[12:05] Hello, Havana.
[12:06] Hello.
[12:08] Hey, you're the OG influencer.
[12:10] Like we've literally got hair like you now.
[12:12] Yeah.
[12:12] Oh, I love it.
[12:13] Are you loving it?
[12:14] Does it feel better for you guys as well?
[12:16] Yeah, it's so much lighter and hair dries quicker.
[12:19] Yeah, it's nice.
[12:20] It's natural.
[12:21] It kind of moves just like your hair as well, which is kind of nice.
[12:23] Yeah.
[12:24] Love it.
[12:25] Never, ever, ever not having these in my hair.
[12:27] It's amazing.
[12:28] Oh, I'm so happy.
[12:28] It makes me so happy.
[12:30] So tell us about when you were almost killed by food.
[12:33] Well, okay.
[12:35] This comes with a warning because the food is bok choy, right?
[12:39] Yes.
[12:40] Okay, so I swear to you, once you know this information, if you love bok choy, then I would say just don't listen to this because it will ruin it for the rest of your life.
[12:51] Because what happened was my husband, he was at a dinner once with a friend and he had some bok choy and it got stuck in his throat.
[13:00] Like, you know how it's kind of long?
[13:02] It's fibrous.
[13:02] And the green part.
[13:04] And it was stuck in his throat and he was choking, like proper choking.
[13:08] And Vince was like, my husband was like, I don't understand how he was choking on this.
[13:13] It was so weird.
[13:14] And then the next time he was eating bok choy, he was thinking about his friend and he started choking on the bok choy.
[13:21] And he's like, he had to like put his fingers down his throat and pull it out.
[13:25] It kind of like slithers down your throat.
[13:28] And then he's telling me about this story because I'm eating bok choy, you know, and I'm like, that's so weird.
[13:34] That's never happened.
[13:35] I eat bok choy all the time.
[13:38] And no joke, it got stuck in my throat and I understood what, because it's like it's stuck in your throat, but when you swallow, it's not going down.
[13:45] Yes.
[13:46] It's kind of just stuck to the sides of the throat.
[13:48] Yes, because it is so long and it doesn't break up or tear when you chew it.
[13:53] Yeah.
[13:54] Yes.
[13:54] It stays all connected in one long, big, like 10 centimetre piece or longer.
[13:58] But it also flattens out.
[13:59] Yes.
[13:59] Yeah.
[14:00] Yeah.
[14:00] And this has happened to everyone that I've told it to.
[14:03] And then I was speaking about it with my mum.
[14:05] And my mum's like, we eat bok choy all the time.
[14:07] What are you talking about?
[14:09] It's never happened to me.
[14:10] Literally a week later, she calls me.
[14:12] She's like, it happened to me too.
[14:14] So literally do not, if you love bok choy, try and not remember this story.
[14:21] But it's the most horrible feeling because it's down your throat, but it's still in your mouth.
[14:25] Like it's, and you can't swallow it.
[14:27] And it's kind of like you're choking.
[14:29] Yes, it is actually so dangerous.
[14:31] This is actually.
[14:32] It's happened to me before.
[14:33] Yeah, so I worked on my grown-up job.
[14:36] My part in a past life is I'm a speech pathologist and I specialize in dysphagia.
[14:40] which is swallowing, right?
[14:42] And our job is to protect in that capacity patients from choking.
[14:47] So after they've had a stroke, we would assess them or other head injuries or other accidents to make sure they were safe to swallow and at what consistency they could swallow foods, textures, et cetera.
[14:58] So I had a whole team of speech pathologists
[15:00] who are dysphagia specialists, right?
[15:03] One of them, her name's Claire, comes in and tells this story how she'd been at dinner at a Chinese restaurant and she had choked on bok choy so bad that she was completely asphyxiated.
[15:13] Like there was no sound.
[15:14] And that's the warning sign when you know you're really in trouble, when you're not even coughing, when you go completely silent, that is when you have a complete blockage of your airway and you are actually in trouble.
[15:27] If there's a little gurgle coming out,
[15:30] You're actually okay because you've got enough airflow to be able to kind of get a big cough out or a vomit.
[15:37] But when it's completely silent, you're cooked.
[15:40] So Claire, this speech pathologist who's a dysphagia specialist, comes in and said, I almost got killed by bok choy.
[15:45] She went silent.
[15:46] She went silent.
[15:47] silent and she's like because she's especially knew how this ended someone came and gave her the full maneuver yeah she got the maneuver and it came out and her life was saved oh my god in the chinese restaurant so now how many people have died from bok choy i wonder there needs to be a study must be a lot a royal commission i tell you i swear like it's seriously like it's
[16:11] And it's so scary when it's down your throat.
[16:13] Oh, yeah, it is.
[16:14] And you can't swallow.
[16:15] You're trying to swallow it down.
[16:16] You can't.
[16:16] And then you're trying to get it up.
[16:18] And then you don't want to vomit because that's gross.
[16:20] And it's always you're in public as well.
[16:22] So it's not like you're.
[16:23] It's so embarrassing.
[16:24] Oh, my God.
[16:25] Well, I'm glad you survived.
[16:26] Do you know what I do now?
[16:27] Because we get this really yummy fur from this Vietnamese restaurant.
[16:31] It's delicious, but it always comes with bok choy.
[16:33] So before my kids get anywhere near it, I get the big, like, food scissors and I chop up all the bok choy into tiny pieces.
[16:39] You're such a mum.
[16:40] No, but it's like they literally kill people.
[16:43] Yeah, no, I don't get it with bok choy.
[16:45] So every time we eat fur all the time and we will not order it with bok choy.
[16:48] Oh, my God.
[16:49] It has to.
[16:50] Stop.
[16:50] You can't.
[16:51] Oh, my God.
[16:51] It's like almost like even if I attempt to eat it now, it's like it's getting stuck already.
[16:57] You know, like it's.
[16:58] Yeah.
[16:58] I don't know what it is.
[16:59] Once you know this information, it ruins it for you.
[17:02] I love bok choy, I love it.
[17:03] Well, thank you so much for sharing.
[17:04] And it seems like you're not alone.
[17:06] Like, there needs to be a bloody royal commission into this bok choy thing.
[17:09] It needs to come with a warning.
[17:10] It needs to come with a warning, that's right.
[17:12] Yeah.
[17:13] Oh, thank you so much, hun.
[17:14] And love chatting to you as always.
[17:16] And we'll see you soon.
[17:17] Okay, see ya.
[17:18] Bye.
[17:19] Beware the bok choy.
[17:20] Yeah.
[17:25] Okay, it is that time of the show where we check our DMs on the Veinage podcast.
[17:30] We slid into our DMs.
[17:32] Slid in.
[17:32] Slide on in, guys.
[17:33] We like it when you slide on in.
[17:34] Yeah.
[17:35] And we have got a voice note.
[17:37] Hey, ladies.
[17:38] It's Amanda here.
[17:39] Loving the banter, Epps.
[17:40] I want to know all about your brow routines.
[17:42] Have you guys tried microblading?
[17:44] Yes.
[17:45] So I go get my eyebrows done.
[17:47] So I get my eyebrows tinted.
[17:49] What color are they?
[17:51] Really blonde, like white blonde.
[17:53] And so is my eyelashes.
[17:54] You're like a Targaryen.
[17:55] Yeah, yeah, literally.
[17:56] You're like an Erling Haaland.
[17:58] Yeah, yes.
[17:58] You're Norwegian.
[17:59] Yes.
[18:00] Yes.
[18:00] Oh, Swedish.
[18:01] Yeah, yeah.
[18:02] I'm from Sweden.
[18:02] Just from Sweden.
[18:03] So I've got really blonde eyelashes and eyebrows.
[18:06] So I get a light brown tint on my eyebrows and then I get a blue black on my lashes.
[18:12] And then I will get threading at the bottom.
[18:17] We would say, what's this part?
[18:19] The underneath.
[18:20] Underneath my eyebrows.
[18:21] I get threading done there.
[18:24] And then I do a wax on top because I don't want the wax to pull my eye skin and make them droopy.
[18:30] I'm weird like that.
[18:32] I have had my eyebrows microbladed once.
[18:36] I actually really liked it.
[18:37] I just...
[18:37] forget to book my appointment.
[18:38] Isn't that where they do like the tattooing?
[18:39] The tattooing, yeah.
[18:40] So what's that like?
[18:41] So I went and saw Amy.
[18:43] Oh, Amy Jean.
[18:45] Amy Jean.
[18:46] Yeah.
[18:46] So she comes to Melbourne every now and then.
[18:49] And she did my eyebrows last year or the year before.
[18:52] And you go in, they numb it up and they do like a tattooing.
[18:56] She's so good.
[18:57] She's so good.
[18:58] So I've had it done once before.
[19:00] I love... Ify Katz's sister does it too, right?
[19:03] Ruby?
[19:03] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[19:04] Yeah, Ruby does the full... Yeah, there's a few girls in that one.
[19:07] Yeah, and Kristen Fisher in Sydney does it.
[19:09] So I've had it done before and I really liked it.
[19:11] I just haven't gone back and...
[19:13] I'm just really bad at booking appointments.
[19:15] Yeah, ADHD.
[19:15] It just doesn't...
[19:17] I just don't book appointments.
[19:18] If someone will book it in, then I'll go and see.
[19:19] You need to like get clawed up and running to like just book all your life admin stuff.
[19:24] But then you've got to train Claude.
[19:25] I want to go to Claude camp.
[19:26] Can someone just do like some bougie wellness thing where we all get to go drink margaritas and learn how to do Canva and Claude and get them talking to each other?
[19:33] I'd have one margarita and not know what the hell is going on in the world.
[19:36] I'd be like, where's the glow sticks?
[19:39] Fuck you, Claude.
[19:40] Love it.
[19:42] On my brows, I don't have a brow routine.
[19:44] I just pluck them and that's it, really.
[19:47] I shape them myself.
[19:48] And every now and again, I will put the bleach on there, the Nair face bleach.
[19:53] I pop them on to just, because my brows are really, really, really black and I need to take the color off.
[19:59] So I use the Nair or the Sully Hansen facial bleach and I leave it on for like, it'll be different depending on,
[20:05] your thickness and your colour.
[20:06] I would leave it on for about seven to nine minutes and it just takes the black off and makes them a little bit more brown and softer and suits my lighter hair.
[20:13] But that's it.
[20:14] I've never waxed them.
[20:15] I just plucked them myself.
[20:16] You're good brows, right?
[20:17] That's it.
[20:18] Yeah, you're actually good at shaping your own brows because that's what it is.
[20:20] I didn't used to be.
[20:22] I used to be really bad.
[20:22] I used to over pluck and not see until you look back in photos.
[20:25] They got your eyebrows grow back because some people haven't.
[20:28] It was a makeup artist taught me.
[20:29] She said, wow, we've got to grow back all in here and we've got to do here.
[20:32] And she kind of, her name's Patti Puddock, and she kind of regrew, reshaped them.
[20:37] And then I've just maintained that.
[20:39] Maintained that.
[20:40] Yeah.
[20:40] But now I can see it.
[20:41] Like before I couldn't see the shape.
[20:43] It wasn't registering.
[20:44] And now when I look, I'm like, oh, I can, I get it now.
[20:48] Like I've been enlightened.
[20:49] Do you know what's really good with the microblading?
[20:52] So when you do get it done, I notice that one eyebrow is always different to the other and that's just how the hair grows.
[20:59] Yeah.
[21:00] So when you do do the microblading, they will make it symmetrical.
[21:03] Everyone's brows are wonky though.
[21:05] No one's got perfect brows.
[21:06] No one's got it.
[21:07] But if they make your brows perfectly symmetrical but your face isn't perfectly symmetrical, then would that look weird?
[21:13] No, but it doesn't, doesn't it?
[21:15] Like it doesn't.
[21:15] Like I feel like it's because…
[21:17] It makes you feel more put together.
[21:18] Yeah, a bit more put together.
[21:20] So, yeah, I'm going to go back in and see Amy at some point.
[21:22] I just need to book the bloody appointment in.
[21:24] But, yeah, my – That's never going to happen.
[21:25] That's never going to happen.
[21:26] Amy, if you hear this, can you please – Yeah, call Jess, Amy, because she ain't calling you.
[21:30] Yeah, can you please book me in?
[21:32] pay.
[21:32] I just need you to book me in because I'm really bad at booking appointments in.
[21:35] Amy, call us.
[21:36] All right, guys, we love hearing from you when you slide into our DMs with any questions.
[21:41] So please hit us up.
[21:43] And if you've been listening to our Boobie Month series, boobs.
[21:47] We're not done yet.
[21:48] There's more boobs coming up in our next episode, which is our last episode of Boobie Month coming your way.
[21:55] Bye for now.
[22:01] Same.
