[0:25] Speaker 1: let's be real, in the world of public speaking and
[0:28] Speaker 1: life in general, poh, rejection is as inevitable as forgetting
[0:34] Speaker 1: your lines right before showtime. But here's the kicker. How
[0:38] Speaker 1: we handle it, How we pick ourselves up after a stumble.
[0:42] Speaker 1: That's what truly defines us. It's not about avoiding those knows.
[0:48] Speaker 1: It's about becoming an unstoppable force that learns and grows
[0:52] Speaker 1: with each experience. So what are some key takeaways to
[0:57] Speaker 1: help you become the ultimate bounce back champion. First off,
[1:02] Speaker 1: embrace rejection as a stepping stone, not a roadblock. Every
[1:07] Speaker 1: time someone says no, see it as a redirect, a
[1:11] Speaker 1: chance to refine your approach or even discover new opportunities
[1:15] Speaker 1: you hadn't considered before. Remember that golden rule. Feedback is
[1:21] Speaker 1: a gift, even if it stings a little. It's an
[1:24] Speaker 1: opportunity to learn and improve. Think of it like this.
[1:28] Speaker 1: Would Michael Jordan be the legend he is if he
[1:31] Speaker 1: let every missed shot break his spirit. Secondly, celebrate your wins,
[1:37] Speaker 1: big or small. Did you nail that presentation in front
[1:41] Speaker 1: of five people fantastic? Did you overcome stage fright for
[1:45] Speaker 1: the first time? High five yourself. Acknowledging and celebrating your victories,
[1:51] Speaker 1: no matter how seemingly insignificant they might seem, fuels that
[1:55] Speaker 1: inner confidence engine, and let me tell you, a strong
[1:59] Speaker 1: confidence This engine is key to bouncing back from anything. Thirdly,
[2:04] Speaker 1: surround yourself with a squad of supportive people. Your cheerleaders,
[2:08] Speaker 1: your mentors, your tribe of awesome individuals who believe in
[2:13] Speaker 1: you even when you doubt yourself. They'll be there to
[2:17] Speaker 1: offer words of encouragement, a listening year, and a virtual
[2:21] Speaker 1: high five whenever you need it. Remember, building resilience isn't
[2:26] Speaker 1: a solo mission. Sometimes all you need is a little
[2:30] Speaker 1: support system to help you get back on your feet. Fourthly,
[2:34] Speaker 1: practice self care. This one's crucial. Remember that feeling of
[2:39] Speaker 1: getting out of bed after a rough night. Sometimes all
[2:43] Speaker 1: you need is a good cup of coffee, a walk
[2:45] Speaker 1: in the park, or sometimes spent doing something you truly
[2:49] Speaker 1: enjoy to recharge and refocus. Self care isn't selfish, It's
[2:55] Speaker 1: essential for maintaining your mental and emotional well being, which
[2:59] Speaker 1: directly in packed your resilience. Finally, remember that setbacks are temporary.
[3:05] Speaker 1: They're not the end of the story. They're just a
[3:08] Speaker 1: chapter in your journey. Don't let one know define you
[3:13] Speaker 1: or hold you back from pursuing your goals. Keep pushing forward,
[3:18] Speaker 1: keep learning, and keep growing, because every bump in the
[3:22] Speaker 1: road ultimately makes you stronger and more resilient. Let me
[3:27] Speaker 1: tell you a quick story to illustrate this point. A
[3:30] Speaker 1: few years ago, I auditioned for a role in a
[3:33] Speaker 1: local play. Ever felt that sinking feeling when you think
[3:37] Speaker 1: it went well, but deep down you know it didn't
[3:40] Speaker 1: quite hit the mark. Yeah that was me, the director said, thanks,
[3:45] Speaker 1: but they were going in a different direction. Rejection right there.
[3:51] Speaker 1: I could have easily let it derail my confidence and motivation,
[3:56] Speaker 1: but instead I took a step back, analyzed what went
[3:59] Speaker 1: well and what could have been better, and use that
[4:02] Speaker 1: feedback to refine my skills for future auditions. A few
[4:06] Speaker 1: months later, I auditioned for another play, this time armed
[4:11] Speaker 1: with a newfound sense of focus and determination and guess
[4:15] Speaker 1: what I landed the part. It wasn't about avoiding rejection,
[4:20] Speaker 1: it was about learning from it and using it as
[4:22] Speaker 1: fuel to propel myself forward. So here's your takeaway. Rejection
[4:28] Speaker 1: is inevitable, but it doesn't have to define you. Embrace it,
[4:33] Speaker 1: learn from it, and use it to catapult yourself towards
[4:36] Speaker 1: even greater heights. You are capable of amazing things. Now
[4:43] Speaker 1: go out there and show the world what resilience truly means.
[4:47] Speaker 1: Share this episode with a friend who could benefit from
[4:50] Speaker 1: a dose of confidence, leave a review to help others
