[0:00] Speaker 1: Hey everyone, Leo Weston here and welcome back to Confidence
[0:04] Speaker 1: on Command to Day. We're diving deep into something that's
[0:09] Speaker 1: absolutely fundamental to building unshakable confidence, self reflection. You know
[0:16] Speaker 1: that feeling when you walk into a room and suddenly
[0:18] Speaker 1: you feel like you've got the world on your shoulders.
[0:22] Speaker 1: Or maybe it's that voice in your head whispering doubts
[0:25] Speaker 1: just when you need to be shining. Well, guess what
[0:29] Speaker 1: Self reflection is the secret weapon to silencing those whispers
[0:33] Speaker 1: and stepping into your power. It's not about constantly analyzing
[0:38] Speaker 1: every little thing you do. We're talking about a conscious
[0:42] Speaker 1: effort to understand yourself better. Think of it like this.
[0:46] Speaker 1: You wouldn't try to fix a car without first taking
[0:48] Speaker 1: a look under the hood. Right. Self reflection is that
[0:53] Speaker 1: crucial engine check for your confidence. Here are five game
[0:58] Speaker 1: changing takeaways that will help you build unwavering confidence through
[1:03] Speaker 1: self reflection. One. Identify your strengths. Ever, notice how some
[1:09] Speaker 1: people seem effortlessly confident in certain situations. That's often because
[1:13] Speaker 1: they know their strengths and play to them. Take a
[1:17] Speaker 1: moment to really think about what you're naturally good at,
[1:20] Speaker 1: whether it's public speaking, problem solving, or just bringing laughter
[1:24] Speaker 1: to the room. Write those down. Recognizing your talents as
[1:29] Speaker 1: the first step to feeling confident in your abilities. Two
[1:34] Speaker 1: acknowledge your weaknesses. Okay, this one might seem a little counterintuitive,
[1:40] Speaker 1: but hear me out. Owning your weaknesses isn't about dwelling
[1:45] Speaker 1: on them, It's about understanding them. We all have areas
[1:49] Speaker 1: where we can improve. Instead of letting those insecurities hold
[1:54] Speaker 1: you back, treat them as opportunities for growth. You know
[1:58] Speaker 1: that saying what it doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
[2:02] Speaker 1: This is where it really applies. Three. Challenge your negative thoughts.
[2:08] Speaker 1: Those pesky inner critics are always lurking, aren't they. The
[2:12] Speaker 1: next time you catch yourself thinking something negative about yourself
[2:16] Speaker 1: or a situation, stop and ask, is this thought actually
[2:20] Speaker 1: true or is it just my fear talking. Often our
[2:25] Speaker 1: doubts are based on irrational beliefs that we've picked up
[2:29] Speaker 1: along the way. By consciously challenging those thoughts, you can
[2:33] Speaker 1: start to rewire your brain for positivity. Four. Set realistic goals.
[2:40] Speaker 1: Ever felt overwhelmed by trying to achieve too much at once,
[2:44] Speaker 1: break down those big goals into smaller, manageable steps. Celebrate
[2:49] Speaker 1: each victory along the way. This will not only boost
[2:53] Speaker 1: your confidence, but also keep you motivated and on track.
[2:59] Speaker 1: Remember wasn't built in a day, and neither is unshakable confidence. Five.
[3:05] Speaker 1: Practice self compassion. Be kind to yourself. We all make mistakes,
[3:11] Speaker 1: have setbacks, and feel insecure. Sometimes, treat yourself with the
[3:17] Speaker 1: same understanding and empathy that you would offer to a friend.
[3:22] Speaker 1: Recognize your efforts, and celebrate your successes, be or small.
[3:26] Speaker 1: Let me tell you a story about this. A few
[3:30] Speaker 1: years back, I was invited to speak at a major conference.
[3:34] Speaker 1: My heart was pounding like a drum solo. Public speaking
[3:38] Speaker 1: is not always my favorite thing, but I decided to
[3:42] Speaker 1: use self reflection as my secret weapon. I spent time
[3:47] Speaker 1: identifying my strengths. I'm pretty good at connecting with an
[3:50] Speaker 1: audience and acknowledging my weaknesses. I tend to get nervous
[3:54] Speaker 1: if there are too many people. I visualize myself giving
[3:58] Speaker 1: a successful presentence, practice my speech until it felt natural,
[4:03] Speaker 1: and most importantly, I reminded myself that even if things
[4:07] Speaker 1: didn't go perfectly, it would be okay. On the day
[4:12] Speaker 1: of the conference, I still felt butterflies in my stomach,
[4:16] Speaker 1: but this time they were more like excited flutters than
[4:19] Speaker 1: fearful ones. I channeled my energy into delivering a message
[4:24] Speaker 1: I truly believed in, and you know what, the audience
[4:28] Speaker 1: loved it. They even gave me a standing ovation. The
[4:33] Speaker 1: takeaway here is simple. Self reflection can be your secret
[4:36] Speaker 1: weapon to unlocking confidence. It's not about being perfect, It's
[4:41] Speaker 1: about understanding yourself better so you can step into your
[4:44] Speaker 1: power with grace and authenticity. So what are you waiting for?
[4:49] Speaker 1: Start that engine check today, Identify your strengths, acknowledge those weaknesses,
[4:55] Speaker 1: challenge those negative thoughts, set realistic goals, and practic self compassion.
[5:02] Speaker 1: Remember confidence is a journey, not a destination. And remember,
[5:07] Speaker 1: if this episode resonated with you, share it with someone
[5:11] Speaker 1: who could use a little confidence boost. Leave a review,
[5:15] Speaker 1: join the conversation on social media. Let's build a community
[5:19] Speaker 1: of empowered individuals together. Until next time, keep shining bright.
[5:30] Speaker 1: This podcast is created with the help of advanced AI
