[0:00] Hey everyone, it's Jimmy here with my usual reminder to
[0:03] quickly Ding that notification bell and turn on all
[0:06] notifications before we begin. Also, don't forget to drop a
[0:10] comment saying what you're doing right now or where you're
[0:13] watching from. There's a theme running through
[0:17] this episode, multiple actually, so see if you can spot them and
[0:21] leave them in the comments. It sounds like a plot twist from
[0:26] a true crime novel, a former adult film star entangled in a
[0:31] family love triangle, and a truly gruesome decapitation.
[0:36] Yet this is the very real story of Devin Michaels, Once known
[0:40] for her work in the adult entertainment industry, she was
[0:44] convicted of beheading her ex-husband, 46 year old Jonathan
[0:48] Willett, in a shocking 2023 case.
[0:52] The brutality of the crime, combined with Michael's unusual
[0:56] personal relationships, including a marriage to her ex
[0:59] husband's son, captured national attention.
[1:03] Now, at age 47, Michaels is destined to spend at least 28
[1:08] years behind bars for her crimes.
[1:12] Devin Michaels was born in 1978 in New Mexico.
[1:16] Though little about her early life is known for certain, she
[1:20] built a name for herself as an adult film actress under the
[1:23] stage name Nikki Fairchild, performing in the industry
[1:26] through the early 2000s. During her career, Michaels
[1:31] gained a modest level of notoriety in the illicit
[1:34] entertainment world. Some sources indicate that she
[1:37] was married to another performer in the industry while she was
[1:40] active, though the details on this are minimal.
[1:45] After leaving the industry in 2012, she transitioned to a more
[1:50] conventional life, working as a real estate agent in Las Vegas.
[1:56] Michaels appeared to be settling down and focusing on family.
[1:59] However, this normal facade hid tumultuous relationships that
[2:03] would later make headlines. Michaels married Jonathan
[2:08] Willett in 2012, and the couple had two daughters together.
[2:13] They divorced in 2018. In a bizarre twist, she later
[2:18] married Jonathan's adult son, Deviere Willette, essentially
[2:23] becoming both her ex husband's wife and his daughter-in-law at
[2:26] the same time. Deviere Willette was, of course,
[2:30] also married to someone who he may have called Mom at one time,
[2:34] a truly disturbing occurrence. Michaels described both
[2:38] marriages as marriages of convenience, indicating they
[2:43] were practical arrangements rather than love matches.
[2:47] By 2023, Michaels was living with Deviere and raising her two
[2:52] young daughters with him. She claimed the unusual marriage
[2:57] to her former stepson was intended to help with her
[2:59] medical issues and to support her children.
[3:03] Ironically, Jonathan Willett was planning to move back in with
[3:07] Michaels and the kids to Co parent and create a quote UN
[3:11] quote stable home for their girls.
[3:14] This was an arrangement that was under way just before he was
[3:17] eliminated. This precarious and quite
[3:20] frankly bizarre domestic setup was rife with underlying tension
[3:24] and set the stage for the tragedy that followed.
[3:29] On the night of August 6th, 2023, this fraught family
[3:33] situation turned deadly. Devon Michaels was with Jonathan
[3:37] Willett at the Henderson, NV home he shared with his mother.
[3:41] What happened next was nothing short of horrific.
[3:44] Prosecutors later revealed that Michael struck 46 year old
[3:48] Willette in the head with a heavy wooden Candlestick.
[3:53] She then proceeded to chop off his head while he remained in
[3:56] that position. The attack occurred while
[3:59] Willett was in a vulnerable position, allegedly receiving a
[4:03] back massage from Michaels, meaning he never saw it coming.
[4:07] Michaels attempted to cover her tracks by pouring bleach and
[4:10] ammonia over Willett's body, which filled the room with
[4:13] noxious fumes. She then fled the scene.
[4:18] The next morning, August 7th, Jonathan's mother discovered her
[4:22] son's headless corpse wrapped in bloody blankets with bottles of
[4:27] cleaning chemicals nearby. It was a scene of unimaginable
[4:31] horror. The distraught mother called the
[4:34] cops and investigators quickly surmised what had occurred.
[4:39] They determined that Michaels had taken Willett's severed head
[4:42] with her when she left. Police believe she dumped the
[4:45] head in a dumpster or trash bin near her own residence, but
[4:49] despite exhaustive searches, it was never recovered.
[4:55] Henderson police quickly zeroed in on Devin Michaels as the
[4:58] prime suspect. She was the last person to see
[5:01] Willett alive, and the convoluted family dynamics
[5:05] provided an obvious motive to investigate.
[5:09] On August 15th, 2023, about a week after the killing,
[5:15] detectives arrested Michaels and charged her for this six
[5:18] slaying. During interrogation, Michaels
[5:21] even agreed to a polygraph test. As part of the investigation,
[5:25] she tried to explain the events as something other than
[5:28] premeditated. Michaels claimed that Willett
[5:31] had been violent toward her, and he alleged he had tried to force
[5:34] an illicit act on her. Just before the incident, she
[5:39] admitted she struck Willett in the head with a wooden stick
[5:43] while giving him a massage. However, she claimed she only
[5:47] meant to hurt him badly enough to figure out what to do about
[5:50] her situation. However, while Michaels
[5:54] confessed to the bludgeoning, she paradoxically denied
[5:57] carrying out the decapitation or disposing of the head.
[6:02] This denial rang hollow, as the physical evidence clearly
[6:06] indicated the killer had gone to extreme lengths to hide the
[6:09] victim's remains. For a time, it looked as if
[6:14] Michaels might avoid a public trial.
[6:17] In September 2024, she accepted a plea bargain and pleaded
[6:21] guilty to a reduced charge. This would have made her
[6:24] eligible for parole after roughly 15 years.
[6:28] But at her sentencing hearing in July 2025, Michaels suddenly
[6:34] reversed course. She proclaimed her innocence and
[6:37] attempted to withdraw the plea. The judge ruled that her plea
[6:41] had been entered voluntarily but allowed it.
[6:45] The case was set for a jury trial, and the jurors weren't
[6:48] informed of the procedural issues prior, including the
[6:52] withdrawal at the sentencing hearing.
[6:55] Michael's trial began in November 2025.
[7:00] Over about two weeks, prosecutors portrayed her as a
[7:03] cold and calculating killer who brutally eliminated Jonathan
[7:07] Willett. According to them, she did this
[7:11] to protect the life she had built with his son.
[7:14] They argued that she was unhappy about Jonathan moving into her
[7:17] household and feared his presence would disrupt her
[7:20] relationship with Deviere and the children.
[7:24] In fact, prosecutors highlighted a series of conscious decisions
[7:28] Michaels made that night to prove their case.
[7:31] This included getting up to retrieve a makeshift weapon,
[7:34] striking Willette while he was face down and defenseless, and
[7:38] then attempting to destroy evidence.
[7:41] The prosecution argued that this showed that the attack was
[7:44] premeditated rather than a moment of passion.
[7:48] They noted that Willette's wallet and keys were missing
[7:51] from the scene, suggesting an effort to stage a robbery or
[7:55] conceal evidence. Trial testimony even suggested
[7:58] that Michaels had been romantically involved with
[8:01] Deviere while still with Jonathan, implying an overlap
[8:05] that added to her motive of jealousy and betrayal.
[8:10] The defense, in contrast, offered an alternate culprit.
[8:13] Her attorneys claimed that Deviere, Willette, the victim's
[8:16] son and Michael's then husband was the real killer.
[8:20] They claimed he was acting out of his own envy and anger.
[8:24] According to the defense, Devier couldn't bear the idea of his
[8:28] father moving in. According to them, this would
[8:31] ruin the home life he shared with Devin, so he allegedly
[8:34] knocked off his father in a fit of rage.
[8:37] Devier took the stand in his stepmother's trial and
[8:41] emphatically denied any involvement in his father's
[8:44] death. No physical evidence tied him to
[8:47] the crime. Notably, this was a massive
[8:50] departure from Devon's original claim that Jonathan Willett had
[8:54] illicitly assaulted her during the massage on the night in
[8:57] question. Of course, this change in story
[9:00] did little to help Devon's already shattered credibility, a
[9:04] factor that jurors surely considered during deliberations.
[9:09] After hearing both sides, the jury ultimately rejected this
[9:12] attempt to shift blame. In November 2025, they found
[9:17] Devin Michaels guilty in the first degree.
[9:20] The jurors needed less than two hours of deliberation to reach
[9:24] their verdict, underscoring how strongly they sided with the
[9:28] prosecution's case. In January 2026, Judge Tierra
[9:33] Jones formally sentenced Michaels for the crime.
[9:36] The punishment was life in prison with the possibility of
[9:39] parole after 28 years. This sentence translates to a
[9:43] minimum of 20 years for the bludgeoning itself, plus an
[9:47] additional 8 years due to the use of a deadly weapon.
[9:52] Michaels will be in her mid 70s before she can even be
[9:55] considered for release. At sentencing, Michaels offered
[10:00] a brief statement acknowledging that nothing she could say would
[10:03] satisfy the victim's family. Notably, she stopped short of
[10:07] taking full responsibility for the gruesome act, likely in an
[10:11] attempt to keep the appeals process open.
[10:15] With Devin Michaels behind bars, Jonathan Willett's family has
[10:19] been left to pick up the pieces. His two daughters effectively
[10:22] lost both parents, their father to a heinous attack, and their
[10:26] mother to a prison sentence. In the aftermath, Jonathan's
[10:30] father and stepmother assumed custody of the girls in hopes of
[10:35] providing some semblance of a stable upbringing.
[10:38] The family expressed relief that justice was served, though they
[10:42] know no punishment can bring Jonathan back anyway.
[10:46] This case will almost certainly be coming to Netflix at some
[10:49] point in the next year or so, so when it drops, you can say you
[10:52] learned about it here first. And yeah, you're probably not
[10:58] going to be surprised that I've got to drop my personal thoughts
[11:00] on this absolute dumpster fire. This case was never just about 1
[11:05] slaying. It was a powder keg, a twisted
[11:08] family triangle loaded with jealousy, blurred lines, and old
[11:13] resentments. Devin Michaels married a man,
[11:17] divorced him, then married his son.
[11:20] And somehow they all tried to coexist under 1 unstable roof,
[11:26] raising two young daughters caught in the middle.
[11:29] It's unclear what kind of dark tension simmers in such a
[11:33] situation, simply because it's so unusual and so twisted.
[11:38] We have a verdict, we have a sentence, but we don't have
[11:42] clarity. The severed head was never
[11:45] found, and the true motives remain tangled at best.
[11:49] This case is what happens when there's a complete collapse of
[11:52] boundaries. Some stories end with justice,
[11:56] others just stop, but this one just lingers on.
[12:03] Hey everyone, it's Jimmy here with a quick reminder to share
[12:06] this video with your friends and family.

[12:12] through a YouTube membership or by going over to the Patreon.
[12:19] On the night of July 10th, 2024, pedestrians crossing the Clifton
[12:24] Suspension Bridge in Bristol were confronted with a
[12:27] horrifying scene. Bristol's famous bridge,
[12:31] normally a symbol of Victorian engineering, suddenly became the
[12:35] scene of a grisly mystery. Two large suitcases had been
[12:39] abandoned on the bridge, one of them ominously leaking blood.
[12:44] Alarmed bystanders reported a man acting suspiciously with
[12:48] heavy luggage before he fled and left the cases behind.
[12:52] When police arrived and opened the suitcases, they made a
[12:56] gruesome discovery. Dismembered human body parts
[13:00] inside the bridge was immediately shut down for an
[13:04] investigation, and investigators quickly determined that the
[13:08] remains belong to two victims of a double slaying.
[13:12] But as detectives began to dig into what happened to these two
[13:15] men, something far more sinister and disturbing than they could
[13:19] have ever imagined emerged. Paul Longworth, 71, and Albert
[13:25] Alfonso, 62, were a long standing couple from West
[13:30] London, described by neighbors as a friendly pair who seemed
[13:34] happy together. Alfonso worked as a swimming
[13:37] instructor and Longworth was a retired handyman.
[13:41] Ordinary men leading a quiet life.
[13:44] They lived in a Shepherd's Bush apartment and in mid 2024
[13:49] welcomed an unusual houseguest, 34 year old Yosten Andres
[13:53] Mascara. He was a Colombian adult actor
[13:57] whom they had befriended online years earlier.
[14:00] The trio had met face to face before.
[14:03] The couple visited Mascara in Colombia and he had stayed with
[14:07] them in England during earlier trips, which helped build trust
[14:11] between them. Mascara stayed in their
[14:14] apartment for about a month and was intimately involved with
[14:17] Albert, a situation Paul was aware of and tolerated or even
[14:21] encouraged. Despite the unusual nature of
[14:25] this set up, all seemed well on the surface, but the couple had
[14:29] no idea that Mascara was quietly harboring dark intentions.
[14:32] During his stay in the weeks before the slaying, Mascara
[14:38] methodically prepared for his crime.
[14:40] He researched the couple's finances and the value of their
[14:43] W London home, hinting at a financial motive, and even
[14:48] ordered a large chest freezer to be delivered to their address.
[14:52] He also searched online for how long it takes a body to
[14:55] decompose and where on the head a single blow would be fatal.
[15:00] These chilling steps painted a clear picture of deliberate
[15:03] premeditation. He even spent a significant
[15:07] amount of time researching some of Britain's most infamous
[15:10] serial predators, A macabre sign of his mindset before the
[15:14] attack. It seemed as though while his
[15:17] motive was primarily financial in nature, he was also quite
[15:21] thrilled about what he was about to do to these two unsuspecting
[15:25] men. On July 8th, 2024, Mascara put
[15:31] his deadly plan into action inside the victim's own home.
[15:35] That afternoon, while Albert was at work, Mascara bludgeoned Paul
[15:39] from behind with a hammer, delivering multiple blows to the
[15:42] 71 year old's head. Paul died from the brutal head
[15:46] injuries and Mascara hid the body in a storage space under a
[15:50] bed, then waited for Albert to come home.
[15:53] Disturbingly, evidence indicates that Mascara went about his
[15:57] business unbothered during this period, though of course we
[16:00] can't really know what was going through his head.
[16:05] When 62 year old Albert Alfonso returned that evening, Mascara
[16:09] initiated an encounter in Albert's bedroom, which was
[16:12] equipped with cameras. The footage captured Mascara
[16:16] suddenly attacking Albert with a knife during an illicit act,
[16:20] stabbing him repeatedly and slashing his throat.
[16:23] This horrific slaying was caught on camera, evidence so graphic
[16:27] that even veteran detectives found it traumatizing to watch
[16:30] later. But then, somehow, it got worse.
[16:34] This recording wasn't some accidental incident.
[16:38] It appears to have been designed to document the horror.
[16:42] Afterward, Mascara recorded himself singing and dancing in
[16:46] the bloodied flat, seemingly reveling in what he had done.
[16:51] With both victims dead, Mascara turned to disposing of the
[16:55] evidence. He decapitated Paul and Albert
[16:59] and dismembered their bodies, placing some parts, including
[17:02] both heads, into the freezer at the condo while stuffing other
[17:06] remains into two suitcases. 2 days later, on July 10th,
[17:13] Mascara transported the suitcases over 100 miles to the
[17:16] city of Bristol, aiming to dump them near the Clifton Suspension
[17:20] Bridge. At the bridge, local residents
[17:23] noticed Mascara struggling with the extremely heavy cases, from
[17:27] which a red liquid was very visibly dripping.
[17:31] When someone asked if he needed help, he nervously claimed the
[17:34] substance was oil and even tried to knock away a witness's phone
[17:39] before bolting from the scene. Though Muscara escaped into the
[17:43] night, he left crucial clues in the abandoned luggage.
[17:47] Alongside the gruesome contents, police found a baggage tag that
[17:51] led them straight to the victim's address in London.
[17:55] I've said it once before and I'll say it again, but we're
[17:58] incredibly lucky that criminals tend to be so stupid.
[18:03] That same night, Metropolitan Police officers searched the
[18:06] Shepherd's Bush condo and uncovered the rest of the
[18:09] horror. In a hallway freezer they found
[18:13] the decapitated heads of Paul and Albert, and nearby they
[18:17] recovered the blood stained weapons.
[18:19] It was now unmistakable that the once trusted guest was simply a
[18:23] sick puppy in sheep's clothing with mascara, identified as the
[18:28] suspect. Authorities launched a
[18:31] nationwide manhunt. Police even released his
[18:34] photograph to the public in an effort to track him down.
[18:38] Initially, they thought that he may have fled the country,
[18:41] fleeing back to Colombia and out of reach of British law
[18:43] enforcement. Thankfully, though, the search
[18:46] paid off quickly. On July 13th, 2024, just three
[18:52] days after the suitcase discovery, officers arrested
[18:55] Yosten Andres Mascara at a Bristol train station.
[18:59] He was promptly charged. Investigators later found that
[19:03] Mascara had been preparing to flee the country.
[19:06] He had a flight to Columbia booked and had already accessed
[19:09] his boarding pass, indicating an escape plan that was foiled just
[19:13] in time. Mascara's case went to court in
[19:17] 2025, exposing disturbing details and a web of lies he
[19:21] spun in hopes of evading full justice.
[19:24] He initially admitted that he eliminated Albert, but only to
[19:28] the lesser charge of manslaughter, claiming he,
[19:31] quote, lost control, and he completely denied slaying Paul.
[19:36] Unsurprisingly, prosecutors immediately rejected this ploy
[19:40] and pressed ahead with the full charges in both cases.
[19:44] During the trial, Mascara concocted an elaborate defense.
[19:48] He claimed that Albert had been controlling him and even alleged
[19:52] that Albert eliminated Paul in a jealous rage.
[19:56] Mascara insisted he then slew Albert only out of fear for his
[20:00] own life after seeing the evil that he was capable of.
[20:04] The prosecution methodically dismantled these claims with
[20:07] evidence. They noted that Albert had no
[20:10] conceivable reason to harm his beloved partner, given the
[20:13] couple's well documented relationship.
[20:17] In contrast, Mascara's extensive online research, financial
[20:20] maneuvers, and the sheer brutality of the crime all
[20:24] pointed to a calculated plan. On July 21st, 2025, after
[20:31] deliberating on all the evidence, a jury found Yosten
[20:34] Mascara guilty of slaying both Paul Longworth and Albert
[20:38] Alfonso. 3 months later, on October 24th, 2025, a judge
[20:45] sentenced him to life in prison, with a minimum of 42 years to
[20:51] serve before any possibility of parole.
[20:54] Mascara will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars
[20:57] since parole isn't guaranteed by any means.
[21:01] The judge condemned the slayings as premeditated and utterly
[21:04] wicked, but decided not to impose a no parole order.
[21:09] Personally, I find this highly disturbing given the acts that
[21:12] were committed, but the judge provided reasons in explaining
[21:17] this decision. The judge noted that Mascara had
[21:20] no prior criminal record and may have been brutalized in his
[21:23] youth after witnessing extreme violence.
[21:27] These were factors which weighed against a never release
[21:30] sentence, at least according to the judge.
[21:35] But just when you thought you couldn't hate Mascara anymore,
[21:38] and this judge's decision was perhaps deranged, it gets so
[21:42] much worse. As part of the proceedings,
[21:45] Mascara also pleaded guilty to several counts of possessing the
[21:49] worst kind of images possible. His computer was full of the
[21:53] stuff, which again makes me question why someone of this
[21:56] nature would ever be allowed out on the streets again.
[22:00] I feel like the term sick puppy doesn't really do this monster
[22:04] justice. For the Metropolitan Police
[22:08] detectives who handled this case, it was one of the most
[22:11] harrowing investigations of their careers.
[22:14] Even seasoned officers were shaken by the sheer brutality of
[22:18] the crimes and the disturbing video evidence they had to
[22:21] review. The fact that Paul and Albert
[22:24] were slain in their own home by someone they had welcomed as a
[22:27] friend only deepened the tragedy.
[22:30] However, it is of course apparent that had they not
[22:33] involved themselves in a disturbing love triangle, this
[22:36] whole situation could have been avoided.
