Jarod Hector, Loconte and Sid react to PSG's victory over Real Madrid. What are the long term concerns for this team after a game like this?

## Transcript

[1:04] Well that was a brutal Wednesday afternoon that we were hoping
[1:08] would be a fun Wednesday going into a fun Sunday.
[1:10] Now our week is over and our summer begins.
[1:13] How are you all doing? Look, you guys know me like
[1:19] obviously I'm disappointed with the score line is one thing.
[1:22] I'm disappointed with the effort and the and and what it looked
[1:25] like on the pitch. But you know me win or lose is
[1:31] not going to define or have any sort of OK, this means we're
[1:34] going to do great next season or pour like it.
[1:37] It's all part of the process. This is a team that this is only
[1:40] match number six under job Alonso.
[1:42] Like I mean, OK like this with without a fully healthy rust
[1:46] squad playing against the best team in the world.
[1:48] Like there are a lot of factors involved, so I'm not losing my
[1:52] mind. We'll get into the specifics
[1:54] about things that annoyed me and and things are are concerning,
[1:58] but overall it's what it is. It was a poor performance.
[2:01] Growth isn't linear. We were due for a come down and
[2:04] here it is. Yeah, not much.
[2:08] Really tired about what Jared said on that department.
[2:12] You win some, you lose some. You don't want to lose it this
[2:14] way, I guess. But it was going to happen
[2:18] sooner or later. Maybe it brought us back to
[2:22] reality a little bit of where we are, where we need to improve
[2:25] and what we need to do for the future.
[2:27] Maybe it's also kind of like a message to the front office as
[2:31] well that OK, that are still pick and hold that they were
[2:34] trying to figure out but few key players missing and this is a
[2:38] product. So I'm not really sure.
[2:42] It's disappointing of course, as a fan, but it's not really going
[2:46] to determine whether I am believer of this team or not for
[2:50] the next season. Yeah, a a lot of the flaws we
[2:53] saw are things we need to work on.
[2:54] We're in the phase of the year where normally you guys would be
[2:57] coming back for pre season. So it's like this is what would
[3:01] have been worked on otherwise in pre season and maybe realized in
[3:04] a long summer. We realized it early.
[3:06] Now we get 3 weeks where Perez goes and gets Alonso who he
[3:09] needs. So I agree coming into the game.
[3:12] Let's let's talk about this match optimism go or not coming
[3:16] into the game. I know you guys did a preview.
[3:18] I did not TuneIn personally. What I will say is this, I
[3:21] thought with just Dean out, we could still have a chance with
[3:24] their absences. Dean and Trent, like Trent not
[3:27] being in this morning as you were talking about Le Conte, I
[3:30] thought that was another issue. With that being said, I still
[3:34] believed, maybe blindly, but yeah, I guess just just off the
[3:38] bat, did you, did the Trent absence change anything for you
[3:41] guys going into the game? Yeah, I mean, look, as you said,
[3:46] and I think Le Conte agrees with this with Dean out it just it
[3:49] would have made winning just exponentially times harder,
[3:52] right? Pull it 4 * 5 times whatever the
[3:55] number is right with with because he's such a he's our
[3:57] most pressed assistant center back number one key to our build
[4:00] up all those things. All right, Trent, we know what
[4:02] Trent can do in terms of and what he's been doing lately with
[4:04] inverting into the midfield, right, like and being that
[4:08] connecting line there, that progressing the ball forward,
[4:10] advancing into the final third. That's a huge miss, right, to
[4:14] not have there. Now you're having Fete back in
[4:15] that spot and Fete was performing better as that sort
[4:18] of back box crashing, right, Playing a little bit higher up
[4:21] the pitch. That's where we were seeing real
[4:23] success. He can play full back because
[4:26] he's Fete and like talented, but that's not the optimal way to
[4:30] use him because now all we had in the middle to help us was
[4:34] Arda and Trumani, which isn't bad.
[4:36] But the problem is if Trumani's got to drop back to to worry
[4:39] about Arsenal was going to say PS G's attack, Well, that leaves
[4:43] Arta by himself now as that connector, right?
[4:46] And we talked about how he is, is physically, we still have
[4:52] issues with him, right, Because he doesn't have blinding speed
[4:54] to get by anybody. He's a little bit easy to knock
[4:57] off the ball still, right, because he's not physically
[4:59] strong on that lower base. So I think all those things came
[5:02] to fruition a bit, right? We just had players not where we
[5:05] ideally want them to be. And when you don't have the
[5:07] proper depths in play, this is what happened.
[5:10] So yeah, both Dean and Trent Bing out now.
[5:13] You went from 5X with Dean to Trent Bing out now.
[5:15] It's 10 times harder to win, right?
[5:17] It just makes everything that much harder.
[5:20] Yeah, I think that we had never seen the scene under Alonzo
[5:25] without Dean, so that was going to be a new thing, right?
[5:28] So then you add the Trent on top of it and it you were kind of
[5:31] doomed because, well, you remove alerted from midfield as Jared
[5:36] said. So you opened all of these
[5:39] accessible gaps which were taken fully advantage of.
[5:42] I mean, Fabian Rees has two goals just as kind of like a
[5:47] proof of how much gaps were they for the runs to come, for the
[5:53] second runs to come in. So, yeah, I think that once
[5:56] Trend was out, basically trained injured yesterday, once that
[6:01] report came out, it was just kind of clear that this team was
[6:05] not not going to be able to sustain the level of energy that
[6:09] PSG are going to bring into the team.
[6:12] I was way more confident with Trends.
[6:14] I had Madrid to win. Of course, as you said, it's a
[6:16] little bit of bias, blindly blind faith on the team, right?
[6:21] Because you want them to win. But realistically speaking,
[6:24] coming down to Earth without trend, without voice, and you
[6:27] just have no way of escaping, right?
[6:30] Maybe we have hopes on Ascension Rudiger, one of them would step
[6:33] up, but none of them did, even with the ball.
[6:36] So we just went into 100 levels of trouble immediately from the
[6:41] get go. Yeah, and so that gets us to his
[6:45] first set up. So I see Trent out.
[6:47] You don't have a choice. You have to move Fatty right
[6:48] back. I think that's what's
[6:50] unfortunate. People are like, oh, why did you
[6:52] set up this way? OK, you move Fatty out, you
[6:54] don't have tamerving. So is human like he's out.
[6:56] So then you're you're screwed already.
[6:59] We're a little thin in midfield. OK, you put Guler, Chuamani,
[7:02] Jude and I get why he'd throw on the extra attacker.
[7:05] So I guess I'll start there. If you don't have transgendine,
[7:08] you are not playing build up play against PS GS pressed.
[7:11] So you are winning the game by winning duels and going fast and
[7:15] hard and long. So you are winning the game with
[7:19] some sort of transition threat. Otherwise PSG are going to just
[7:21] pass the ball side to side. Rip your block.
[7:23] Now that's the reasoning. With that being said, why is
[7:28] there a three man midfield block at the start of the game?
[7:31] I think that was what was concerning before Ascencio makes
[7:34] the mistake, you know, I know we're going to get to those
[7:37] mistakes, but even before the mistake, just with Alonzo setup,
[7:40] like the first play of the game, we go long and then our front 3
[7:43] go press and when we they get bypassed, it's a three man
[7:46] midfield and they're acres apart.
[7:47] It's like one guy standing on the right midline, one guy on
[7:50] the left midline, one guy in the middle and PSG get those two
[7:53] cross balls. Courtois has to save, so before
[7:56] Ascencio makes the mistake, Cortona's forced into the
[7:59] so-called saves that were used to under Carlo maybe where the
[8:02] system itself wasn't working. With that being said, I did
[8:06] notice before the Ascencio mistake that slowly Vivian and
[8:10] Bape, they were starting to play in a 451.
[8:12] I just think it happened so early so quickly that I don't
[8:16] know if the 442 or 451 would have worked and we didn't even
[8:19] get around to executing it. It just happened that early in
[8:21] the game. What are your guys's thoughts on
[8:23] that? OK.
[8:27] Yeah, you're right. Because like it started very
[8:31] unnaturally. It started very newish for
[8:34] Alonzo, right? We have never seen the midfield
[8:38] be spread. We always kept emphasizing how
[8:41] good we want to just keep the middle block channels and then
[8:44] it just spread out. All of a sudden, maybe Alonzo
[8:47] was trying to go more with, OK, I want these central backs to
[8:49] push and be a little bit more aggressive.
[8:53] Maybe he was going with that at the start, but we didn't have
[8:56] much of a chance to see it. Not a lot of emphasis on play
[9:00] with the ball at all. Actually.
[9:02] He went, you mentioned the three attackers.
[9:04] Gonzalo was there pretty much just to take care of Nuno.
[9:07] Mendesh, you know, he wasn't there to really provide a lot
[9:12] for the team as much as can I take the load of Nuno off while
[9:16] they're there because he already has to deal with Clara.
[9:19] So then you have Fabian, who is a mismatch for Arda and he's
[9:23] just like very hard. I don't really understand the
[9:29] decision of Alonzo on that matter, because if you really
[9:33] wanted to go man for man with PSG, with the team, that's very
[9:37] fluid, why I don't understand. I don't think he wanted to go
[9:41] man for man. I think what he wanted was the
[9:43] second two guys lose the ball, no matter where they lose the
[9:46] ball, at some point they're going to give it up.
[9:47] They don't really like to and they don't do it.
[9:49] But when they do and we saw it early, their plan was I think to
[9:53] go long to Garcia on Nuno. Like I think they were trying,
[9:56] like the first player of the game was a long ball.
[9:58] We got the ball. We did what PSG do.
[10:00] We long balled it to the winger and I think the idea was that if
[10:04] we don't have all three of those guys up front, PSU will just
[10:07] walk circles and eventually they'll just get to us.
[10:10] The idea was that like you need something to make them think
[10:14] before making runs forward and that didn't happen.
[10:16] But I feel like that was a reasoning because you take away
[10:19] one of the three, let's just say we get boxed into our half,
[10:22] maybe with, I don't know who you'd play, maybe a Rodrigo.
[10:24] Let's just say I don't know which we'll get to see.
[10:29] That's the thing, yeah. At that point you just play
[10:31] Garcia though, because you Garcia gives you more transition
[10:33] threat and easy tries. But I guess the big question is
[10:36] like did I guess? I don't think Zombie saw Garcia
[10:39] getting taken out of the offense like that and just being forced
[10:43] to play so much defense on Uno. But I think, and this is sort of
[10:49] look and Chavi Alonso knows way more about football than I'll
[10:52] ever know. So I'm going to start with that.
[10:54] But when you have sort of a small sample size of success,
[10:59] right, which were after the AL Halal tie when Guler started and
[11:03] we pretty much went with that same 11 all the way through
[11:06] until recently. That crew builds a level of
[11:10] connectivity and cohesiveness with a new with, even with a new
[11:13] system where you see they are trying to get in touch with each
[11:17] other's movements. They know everybody is right and
[11:19] you see a little bit more connectivity, right like and why
[11:22] everybody's in the place. They need to be less of that
[11:24] sort of spread out in this where you're getting sliced and diced
[11:28] with the middle of of the park, right?
[11:29] That wasn't happening as much because those guys were starting
[11:31] to get a rhythm. The minute you had two people
[11:34] out of the line up of that 11 and you had to replace them with
[11:37] two new people, that immediately throws off the chemistry from
[11:40] jump. Not because the two people who
[11:42] were coming in aren't good. It's because they haven't played
[11:45] any actual minutes together in a pressurized environment where
[11:49] they know what to do right. That other crew five games.
[11:53] So again, they weren't perfect, but they at least had something
[11:56] to go off of because they've had the pressure cooker of being in
[12:00] those situations. This new this new lineup, first
[12:02] time ever played shit because zero opportunity on a pitch in
[12:06] any low stakes game. It's the semi finals of a major
[12:09] competition. Yeah, good luck, right.
[12:11] So of course you were seeing gaps and things that happened
[12:13] from a from a poor execution standpoint, right?
[12:16] Just because they weren't where they were comfortable and where
[12:19] they were starting to see success.
[12:22] As much as these are elite football talents, when you're
[12:25] learning something new, what do you need more than ever?
[12:26] You need repetition, right? You need going over and over and
[12:30] over it again. This is this.
[12:31] We talked about this with Chuameni and Kama Vinga and
[12:34] everybody getting so mad about why they aren't where they're
[12:36] supposed to be. I'm like, well, because if you
[12:38] imagine them as midfielders and every five matches they have to
[12:41] play in the back line, Well, of course the midfield play isn't
[12:43] good because they have to go play center back and left back,
[12:47] right? Like same thing with this.
[12:48] This is the situation here. And so now I'm not blaming him
[12:51] because what else was he going to do?
[12:53] I mean, I guess you could have played Rodrigo, I guess like, I
[12:56] don't think the outcome would have been any different.
[12:58] Well, that's a tricky thing. So you, you played Rodrigo,
[13:01] you're not getting any, you're not changing your defense like
[13:05] getting a better defense with Rodrigo.
[13:06] I think that's a big question because everyone's like 2 big
[13:09] problems. How did Vinnie and Ababe impress
[13:11] and then our center backs mistakes, right?
[13:12] That's what everyone's screaming about.
[13:13] That's what everyone sees. Which like, are those
[13:17] necessarily different? Like even if you get better
[13:19] center backs, was Vinnie and Bapis pressing the problem for
[13:22] you that game with Conte? What do you think?
[13:24] Like what did you see? I don't.
[13:25] Think they were asked to press because there was a huge gap
[13:30] between the attackers and the midfielders where they were just
[13:34] asked to flow, try to disrupt. I think that it was an Alonzo
[13:39] choice and that's why Gonzalo was like tasked more wider.
[13:44] You could see how big the gap between like those two and the
[13:47] others were. Even when we were hitting on the
[13:50] fast breaks it, it was just one of these two guys who had the
[13:54] sequence where and what I have to go like 40 meters along with
[13:58] the ball dribbling out and hopefully I can take a shot
[14:02] here. That's by design.
[14:04] Unfortunately, I think that Alonzo put a lot of emphasis on
[14:08] how can I stop PSG rather than how can I beat PSG.
[14:13] And of course, as Jared said, it's a new group by
[14:18] technicalities, so they're not used.
[14:20] You're using a new system and you're adapting to the opponent
[14:25] on top of it. It's a semi final.
[14:27] It's a trophy that you wanted to win.
[14:30] A lot of pressure at stake, which obviously leads to a lot
[14:34] of things, but I don't think that if you go and say that
[14:38] Vinnie and Bapa are the guys to blame when the team is clearly
[14:43] not pressing, there's no pressing trigger at all.
[14:46] Not even from Jude, right, who would have usually been the man
[14:51] leading it. Not even from him.
[14:53] He's just staying back afloat, trying to read where the
[14:58] passages of the play and we were just getting cut.
[15:01] I think it was by design. Interesting.
[15:04] And do you, you think, you think that he put too much emphasis
[15:11] into how we can stop them? Why would he leave them high,
[15:14] though? If, if I feel like he instead
[15:16] missed that, hey, you need to stop them to have a chance in
[15:19] the 1st place. And he's like, hey, if we, we
[15:21] got to leave him high, I guess maybe he didn't want to lose in
[15:23] like A20 boring. They pass it around our box.
[15:26] Maybe he wanted to give it a chance of being a four three
[15:28] because he thought the only way to win is to shake it up.
[15:31] That's what I saw personally. And well, I guess also just one
[15:34] more note in terms of tools we have, we literally had outside
[15:37] Rodrigo. Like, we have Brahim, who's not
[15:39] a winger, but we have very few tools.
[15:41] Someone like Franco would be perfect to track Nuno maybe up
[15:44] and down like a young, like, weird.
[15:48] You would have been so nice, right?
[15:49] So I think the other thing with Vinnie and Bape is even if we
[15:52] don't start them, does our other lineup do anything different?
[15:56] No, and I think that's what frustrates me.
[15:59] It's that a lot of people are acting like this was avoidable
[16:02] or that our season's over. It's like a lot of things went
[16:04] wrong together at the same time, and so you get a game like this.
[16:10] I think there was also a bit of lack of trust on the center
[16:14] backs, center back pairing. I believe that.
[16:18] I think there was a lack of trust in that.
[16:21] You guys can have your thoughts. For me, it was like just the
[16:24] design of the team and the way how we went.
[16:26] I don't think you believe those two were able to pull off a more
[16:30] proactive, I guess, approach. I mean, again, when you have a a
[16:38] setup where Trent and Dean are so integral to the offense and
[16:44] you replace them with Bette and Ascencio, I mean, and it's not
[16:51] about it's Freddy playing left back, not that he's he's he's a
[16:54] badminton, he's an excellent midfielder.
[16:56] This is a problem, right? You are tasking someone to do
[16:58] something that they are not capable of doing or that they
[17:01] have not showed the ability to do, right, One of the two,
[17:04] right, That that's ultimately what's happening.
[17:06] And so now what do we have to do?
[17:08] Hope that to your point, we get the ball along, right?
[17:13] Our wingers can exploit something out on out on the out
[17:15] on the on on the wings, which they were not able to do, right?
[17:18] Like, yeah, we had that sort of opening sequence after PSG had
[17:21] that first shot on goal that that Courtois saved.
[17:24] But was it really a chance, 1/2 chance maybe, right?
[17:27] Like we had no ability to possess the ball and threaten
[17:31] PSG in any meaningful way, right?
[17:34] And that's because we could not handle their pressure.
[17:37] And so much so that two routine plays, right, which are
[17:43] clearances, our center backs literally whiffed on the ball,
[17:48] right, and did not strike them cleanly, like, and that led to
[17:51] two direct goals, right? Those were the first two goals
[17:53] of the game. It was just like the Veroneni
[17:56] moment against City two in a row, like it felt like that,
[17:59] where it's just two avoidable mistakes.
[18:01] Whatever momentum you might have had coming in are gone.
[18:04] You got to throw it out. And for sure they're totally
[18:08] avoidable with Rudiger. Interesting combo about his
[18:11] health. Akante, you were bringing up
[18:12] some points before we started the like Militao comes back
[18:16] after his second ACL tear and he actually does look like an
[18:20] athlete. Rudiger looks like like Luis
[18:22] Suarez out there, man like. Did remember this is what I was
[18:26] telling you and weeks ago when you were like, oh, I'm not
[18:28] worried about Rudiger. He hasn't had that many minutes.
[18:30] And I'm like, dude, like he's already plus 30.
[18:33] Like, I don't like anybody over the age of 30 in professional
[18:37] sports worries me point blank, period, full stop.
[18:40] Like, I, I am worried like, yeah, you can tell me about
[18:43] LeBron and Katie or whatever and other sports.
[18:44] I'm like, yeah, but they're outliers for a reason, right?
[18:47] Like everybody else, when they hit 30, I am already in panic
[18:51] mode because I'm like, anytime you get an injury now, you're
[18:55] coming back a little bit less, a little bit less, a little bit
[18:57] less, right? And for someone like Rudiger
[18:59] whose speed is so important, right to peak Rudiger that was
[19:02] soft, soft, soft tissue injuries he had and that surgery not
[19:06] helpful. Not to mention we ran him into
[19:09] the ground the last two seasons, right?
[19:11] Literally ground him into the ground so that we may not get,
[19:16] we may not get him back to that level of two years ago where he
[19:19] was literally in the conversation for best center
[19:20] back in the world. He may not reach that level ever
[19:23] again. So what we got today was karma
[19:25] like for what we did to him. Almost like I saw that mistake
[19:28] like OK, like Ascencio fine. You we we need to replace him
[19:31] after the tournament. In my opinion, Ascencio totally
[19:33] needs to be replaced. Like he needs to be bumped one
[19:36] spot down in the rotation until he's ready.
[19:38] And maybe even you consider loaning him out and just
[19:41] replacing him at this point. It's like for center backs, like
[19:44] mistakes are like, you know, worth like they're like the in
[19:48] inverse of goals and they're worth like a bunch.
[19:49] So you can only make so many in a season.
[19:52] What do you? Think the constant pointed this
[19:54] out your your point about the mistakes he's making even when
[19:56] he's playing well. That's the issue with the
[20:00] sensor, right? The the reason why we drew
[20:02] comparisons to Ramos was that Ramos used to be a bit of error
[20:06] prone, right? But he would save you like 10
[20:09] goals before he made an error, which kind of it's
[20:12] self-explanatory, right? The.
[20:14] Load but with ascension it's just like 2 raw every game now.
[20:21] It's not it's a pattern. It's really like when the sample
[20:25] size is as big as Ascensius is. It's not just this Club World
[20:30] Cup right penalty against Arsenal, the red card getting
[20:36] hooked at whole time by Angelotti quite a few times.
[20:39] You know, those are red flags when you look at him.
[20:43] And I genuinely agree with Sid when he said that he needs to be
[20:48] put really on the end load of the players or maybe loan him
[20:53] out if you're going to make a sign.
[20:55] And that is because with Alonso, I think that you want to stack
[20:58] up as many center backs as possible and hope that they grow
[21:01] into the system with time. But it's a bit of an issue.
[21:06] Rudiger is my bigger problem because he really hasn't given
[21:11] us like anything to hope. Like, I haven't seen that
[21:16] acceleration back. I'm not even seeing good reading
[21:19] of the play. He's very sloppy.
[21:22] Like while I'm not, I can understand that coming back from
[21:27] an injury with a new coach and the completely new set up now
[21:32] where we have to adjust and correct quite a bit because he's
[21:36] the deepest, He's playing as the deepest center back.
[21:38] I can understand that. You can struggle.
[21:41] How often do we get a player that hasn't put a foot right?
[21:45] Honestly, turn it around. Well, I think the only hope is
[21:50] you got to give him a vacation and like he needs he he just
[21:53] looks slow and it he just looks like his body won't give out,
[21:57] but Milital is made. He he came back too early from
[22:00] the surgery. Like I, I, I've been saying this
[22:03] like he wasn't supposed to play this Club World Cup.
[22:05] This wasn't supposed to happen. And they were like, Oh well, we
[22:07] got no choice, you got to play. Well, they look at the risk
[22:09] reward. They're like, OK, we already
[22:10] tore Miller Tao's ACL second time, we can't do it a third
[22:13] time. So who are we going to scroll?
[22:14] Rudiger Why not pet another one? Well, no, because you have
[22:18] Rudiger who who can ruin his career instead and bring Miller
[22:21] Tao back, right? That's the reasoning you as you
[22:23] saw at the end. But it is very annoying.
[22:25] And that's where honestly, my first thought was like, if, if
[22:29] that's one of the big bottlenecks for our team, then
[22:31] we the other big bottleneck is like fed.
[22:33] It needs to rest because then he's the next Rudiger at this
[22:36] rate. And so if you get and we saw
[22:38] what happened to huh who? Jude.
[22:41] Yeah, but Judas Jude has the forced three months.
[22:43] God, he has the forced shoulders.
[22:45] Hurt coming, Thank God. Yeah, yeah, that.
[22:47] That's forced, right? But.
[22:49] No, I mean, that's seems the only way we're going to get
[22:51] these big guys. I'd rather rather force surgery
[22:54] every two years. So he placed at 30, then no
[22:56] force surgeries, and he burns out at 23.
[22:59] That's sad. No, but seriously, that's how it
[23:02] works. Like.
[23:02] This is why I've been saying the depth on this squad, look,
[23:06] they're getting all their kudos because we got Tran and Dean and
[23:09] we're getting Alvaro Carreras most likely.
[23:11] Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, great. This team needs actual quality
[23:16] depth, right? We see that.
[23:18] It is clear that we need that if we're going to go on and win
[23:22] trophies and tournaments and play in every possible major
[23:25] tournament this club wants to play.
[23:26] We have to have depth. And we don't have enough right
[23:28] now. We just don't have a.
[23:29] Question, but I would like both of you to answer.
[23:33] If we have, let's say, OK, let me take since you said Carreras,
[23:38] right? So let's take his teammate
[23:40] Antonio Silva. If we have him on the team
[23:43] tonight, do you think that Alonzo changes the setup?
[23:49] No, probably not, unless you think Silva's of the caliber of
[23:53] voicing and Trent which I'm assuming he's not of that
[23:55] caliber in build up. Let's say he's a more reliable
[23:58] than Rudiger and Ascencio without being of the caliber of
[24:01] voicing and Trent in build up. No, because I think he still
[24:03] fears their ability to play through the press.
[24:06] He still sees the need to have a high front 3 and go long.
[24:08] I think only a full strength team prevents us from setting up
[24:11] this way or at least if we had Trent, maybe we try to play in
[24:15] possession as well. But I think I think when you
[24:20] lose through the both the high volume signings in build up, the
[24:25] only way this was ending was going long.
[24:27] And I think at that point you're playing the front 3 because you
[24:29] don't have Franco, you only have Rodrigo, you lose fatty in
[24:31] midfield, you don't have Camo Vinga.
[24:33] Now if we have camo Vinga, OK, different story.
[24:35] Camo Vinga, Guler, Giovanni, Jude, you go.
[24:38] Gonzalo Vini, Bring on about it. Don't have camo vinga?
[24:42] And honestly, that big problem for this team for years has been
[24:44] that Camo Vinga's just injured no matter what, like whether
[24:46] he's playing or not, he's just always hurt.
[24:48] And that needs to change soon. This season is a good nice time
[24:52] to change that. You know, if he's gonna.
[24:55] This is the key to this midfield being what we think it can be.
[25:00] Is Kemah Vinga actually having a fully healthy season.
[25:02] And Sid, you know, this is someone who's doing this on on
[25:05] on the other side in terms of work that you do business wise,
[25:09] whatever he's doing from a training, diet, whatever.
[25:14] Like he is a special athlete in that he has an abundance of like
[25:18] high twitch, fast muscle fibers, right?
[25:20] Like in his body, more so than most people, those kinds of
[25:23] athletes, right? Needs special.
[25:25] I mean, every athlete does, if we're being honest, specialized
[25:28] training and recovery, right, because of the way his body is
[25:32] structured and these this is the areas where Madrid needs to be
[25:36] doing all of its greatest club in the world, innovation, what
[25:39] have you, areas like here because this is a player who on
[25:42] the Conte believes it because he said it last year.
[25:44] When I'm with him, he has a chance to be a generational
[25:47] level midfielder. That's how talented Kemah Vinga
[25:49] is. But he ain't never going to get
[25:50] there. If he's hurt every three weeks,
[25:54] it's never going to happen like so this is a big part of what
[25:58] this team has to do, and I know that Javi brought in a new
[26:00] training staff and all that. Those guys, we have to find a
[26:04] way to get them healthy and keep them healthy.
[26:09] We don't really know if they're getting that though, because you
[26:11] know, like with Vini, we didn't know that I'm talking Vini that
[26:16] was struggling under Zedan. We didn't really know that he
[26:18] was working with a psychologist, sports psychologist before it
[26:23] came out, right? We don't really know how it
[26:26] functions, how those depends on the things.
[26:29] So with Kama Vinga, for all we know, maybe he's assigned as a
[26:34] professional to work with them on day-to-day basis on his daily
[26:37] life outside of what happens inside the Madrid training
[26:41] center. So all of these things could be
[26:44] happening. We don't know.
[26:45] But yes, his health is a problem because every injury with him,
[26:50] it doesn't seem to be like a small cramp where I'm two weeks
[26:54] out, three months and months. And you know, it's kind of trend
[26:59] where you can see that the those months are just adding up,
[27:02] right? Two years ago it was going like
[27:04] 2 months and now it's suddenly we're up to 4.
[27:08] And what it is, is it's a roster spot now that is occupied by
[27:12] someone, but you can't feel it anywhere, right?
[27:14] Like this is the thing that people need to understand.
[27:16] Oh, when so and so gets healthy, OK, but what are you doing for
[27:18] the six months? He's not, You can't just get
[27:20] somebody else. He's on the roster, right?
[27:23] Like he's taking up a spot. Like This is why health of
[27:26] players is so paramount, especially of those caliber
[27:29] players, right? Because you can't replace them,
[27:32] right? Like when they go down, you're
[27:34] like, crap, who else are we going to get?
[27:35] That's a Keva Vinger replacement.
[27:37] We don't have one, right? There isn't 1.
[27:40] Yeah, that's where. So when you look at the number
[27:42] of players that who are taking up our Oscar spot without always
[27:45] being healthy, it's Kamovinga, Rudiger, or I should say
[27:50] reliable, not healthy, I should say right now.
[27:51] But you can't take all the time this season, Kamovinga, Rudiger,
[27:54] Militao, Asencio, Alba. So that's a lot of spots.
[27:59] If you can just yes, I would. The only reason I didn't is
[28:03] 'cause he was available for a lot of last year.
[28:05] You could pick him. But yes, it's.
[28:07] What injury wise, OK, but well, I don't think he's as reliable
[28:11] of a end product type of player that I he's not.
[28:15] If I get an offensive, not offensive, sorry, attacking
[28:19] injury, I'm like, OK, I'm going to slaughter Rodrigo in and I'm
[28:22] fully comfortable. I don't think we're that.
[28:24] With it now, I don't think we're there right now because of the
[28:28] last tough couple years. But I mean, I'm just, I'm just
[28:31] saying leaving out his last year, like Aliba, all these guys
[28:33] are injured. Like, like straight up Aliba,
[28:35] Rudiger, Militao, it's just bad. I know we tried to get Aliba
[28:38] bought out, but at this point, Ascencio, the problem is he's on
[28:41] the cheapest contract. There isn't even too much value
[28:43] to getting rid of him and he's healthy.
[28:44] So like, maybe you hope, but Rudiger is old.
[28:48] Yeah, Militao and Aliba are coming off injury so those 3
[28:52] roster spots need to get condensed. 1 and. 2 all this
[28:54] past year. Also I forgot about that he was
[28:56] a roster spot that. He is.
[28:58] He was. I think he was.
[28:59] Supposed to come back in October and suddenly he's playing out.
[29:04] Yeah, I I don't love it. Thank, thank, thank goodness.
[29:06] It's only like a few minutes and we're done now so he won't play
[29:09] again till. Isn't that a bit rushed?
[29:11] No. I think so.
[29:13] I think with Acls it's all case to case.
[29:15] So I mean, yeah, it's all individual.
[29:18] ACL and MCL both. It wasn't very bad.
[29:23] I'm pretty sure it was bad. I'm just saying, you know what
[29:26] the way techniques are like, every player is different.
[29:28] And so I'm sure he passed some markers to be out there.
[29:32] And hey, like again, we have the he's not feted, he's not feted.
[29:36] Do you even need him to play? He's not.
[29:38] He's not feted to be honest. No.
[29:41] Agreed. I just mean he's not Fete.
[29:43] Trent is there, you know he he's going to retire.
[29:45] Nice. Rudiger is going to die.
[29:46] Fete might die. He's just a 2 like Carvajal.
[29:50] OK, At least he had an honorable ending.
[29:52] He won and then he got injured in a bad year that nobody's
[29:54] going to remember anyways. These guys in their prime, like
[29:57] their whole story is going to be written.
[29:58] Got ran into the ground in his prime by Real Madrid.
[30:01] Like that's how the story will be written for Fete.
[30:03] Potentially just I I look, how much money do we make off this
[30:07] Club World Cup? Over 100 million, right?
[30:09] All with the with the signing fee and everything.
[30:12] Please use that money to continue to bolster the depth of
[30:16] this squad. Like I think to your point,
[30:18] Lecante, it might have been a little bit of jobby being like,
[30:21] OK, well, this is what we got Laurentino and the board.
[30:24] Like when we have an injury, this is what's going to happen.
[30:28] This is who I have to put out here.
[30:30] And I'm telling you, I need another midfielder.
[30:33] I need, I need another center back like you're telling me.
[30:35] No. Well, this is what's going to
[30:36] happen if you don't give me these three things.
[30:39] I'm not that concerned about the midfield, but defense,
[30:42] especially central defenders, right?
[30:47] I'm a bit concerned. I'm going to be honest.
[30:49] I I think we tell like at not prime levels, but an optimal
[30:55] level milita slots in as that right center back comfortably,
[30:59] but that's the only guy that you can reliably say that will do
[31:03] that job for. Me, that's like a hope.
[31:04] We're hoping for that, right, guys?
[31:06] That's a hope. Yeah, there's no.
[31:08] Get we're hoping he can slot in right.
[31:10] We're that's a hope. And you know, yeah, hope, hope
[31:12] is not. Advantaging of the injuries
[31:14] right because of the number of injuries so even if you're
[31:19] Madrid right now right when you look at the central bank market
[31:23] I think there are a few that you can sign what time do you sign
[31:25] because. You.
[31:27] Really wants to go with this. So it's just, it's really
[31:32] complicated, but the level of both central banks that we have
[31:36] today is just. Atrocious.
[31:38] What can OK, what would I know what he wants wage wise even
[31:42] though he has two more years left on his deal or a year left?
[31:45] One year left on his deal. People also just want to say
[31:48] Franco. Konate.
[31:49] Yeah, yeah. What would what would he cost
[31:51] transfer wise to get I? Mean Liverpool that I got your
[31:55] transfer free. So pretty much you kind of set
[31:58] there you go like 30 mil maybe, and you're more like, well, do
[32:03] you want 30 mil right now or do you want to lose him for free
[32:06] next year because his agent is already doing work.
[32:09] Let's be real. Oh, there are news already that
[32:12] I love her. But that's what you do.
[32:15] You say hey, either free or you get.
[32:19] Or some money kind of like what Madrid did to PSG from Boppe if
[32:23] we want to be honest. On 2022 they went like this is
[32:26] the money. The year prior to Boppe signing,
[32:29] PSG put Boppe with the players that they wanted sold or out and
[32:34] they were pretty much telling Madrid, hey, these guys
[32:36] available, come and pay that. So now I'm like, you know what,
[32:40] now I'm going to get in for free.
[32:42] So it's like we have shown that we are patient when it comes to
[32:47] waiting for the players. It's just now there are
[32:50] conundrum player. Does Konate want the money
[32:54] because of the fact that when you sign as a.
[32:58] You. Get like bond wages, you get a
[33:01] lot of bonuses. Does Konate go like I might win
[33:05] Premier League this season 2 and then I join them for free next
[33:09] year and make a lot more money? Or is he like, well, I'm seeing
[33:13] that right center back spot and you know, like the Lenio row
[33:17] last year was supposed to be like the guy, but look, they
[33:19] found Dean Hoisen now and he's the next star and they don't
[33:23] care about euro anymore. So it's like, how would that be
[33:28] even perceived? Because even if you're signed
[33:31] Ibrahim O Connor, I'm still going to be honest, you still
[33:33] haven't sold the three at back conundrum with the central
[33:36] southern back, right? So normally here we could
[33:39] potentially be speaking about two Sunderbacks and not one.
[33:43] Saliba and Bastoni just get all three of them and then next year
[33:49] get rid of Aliba, all one of your construction friends and
[33:52] ask for a loan. I don't know if you like if.
[33:54] It's available. I would genuinely get Pomicano.
[33:58] Genuinely. No, I would not.
[34:00] No, he's not good. No, you would not.
[34:02] No, he's really good. I really don't rated him.
[34:04] I do not rated him. OK, let's talk about this.
[34:06] I like fun. This is fun.
[34:07] I. Like him, I like him.
[34:08] Oh, you like him too? Oh my God, I do like him.
[34:10] Listen, I really like him. I'm all about France FC, Real
[34:14] Madrid, so give me listen. I want to say this, I just want
[34:17] to say this, before they left Leipzig, before we're talking
[34:20] years, I thought Konate was better than Oppa Mekano and that
[34:23] buyer made a mistake. So I've been on this train for
[34:25] years. Maybe it's a confirmation bias
[34:27] but Oppa Mekano is like an expensive and way better but
[34:31] like the Ascencio mold of like always got a bozo mistake in him
[34:34] and then he doesn't. Make a mistake.
[34:37] Clonatey for me is like Varan. It's like Rafa Varan.
[34:40] Do you mean oppa Mekano or oppa Mekano?
[34:42] Who? Who are you talking about?
[34:44] The bottom center back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
[34:46] yeah. I'm teasing you.
[34:48] I'm teasing you. Because you're mispronouncing
[34:49] his name. It's like, wait, is there
[34:52] another one? These fans are going to RIP into
[34:54] me though. Where's the other one?
[34:55] I've never heard of them. Like I'm talking about the one
[34:56] I've seen the fans. But that though Ponakana under
[35:01] my Gelson was a scary thought. OK but that was the only time he
[35:06] was a guaranteed scary thought all the time.
[35:08] Outside that context, he's had a lot of ups and downs and but
[35:13] with that being said, OK, you would go for him?
[35:15] That's crazy, absolutely wild to me.
[35:17] But. So, but how about Junie Calafat?
[35:20] You found Franco Masson Tuano, we signed the kid from IX
[35:23] Academy going to Castilla. Seems like everybody you signed
[35:26] for the most part that you identifies young talent are
[35:28] always forward, players and midfielders.
[35:30] Can you not identify young center?
[35:32] Backs So he got militao, he got his militao.
[35:35] So I think. But yeah, go go get us the next
[35:38] 17 year old center back out there.
[35:39] Go find. Him he got us euro and then euro
[35:41] got greedy, Euro got greedy and got tricked by his agent euro.
[35:46] Was kind of off because of Jorge Mendesh.
[35:49] Yeah, his agent told him to take more money.
[35:52] Yeah, because Jorge Mendez wanted to move the other client
[35:55] to United as well, Garte. And so he told Yoro like, hey,
[35:58] he he basically cooked the negotiations for us and Yoro on
[36:01] top of that also, it was a difference of about 2 1/2 to 3X
[36:04] almost on the contract. I believe it was a big.
[36:06] Yeah, but we have seen that also.
[36:07] The club has tried to steer clear of Jorge Mendez's clients
[36:11] for quite a while now, especially after that.
[36:15] At the end, I think they hate him.
[36:17] They genuinely must hate his guts.
[36:19] Yeah, so I get it. They overshadowed a final.
[36:21] Like from the current roster, if you play 3 at bat, let's say you
[36:25] play this shape shift three at back, can you trust Carvahall as
[36:28] the right center back? Yes, absolutely, absolutely.
[36:32] He's so good. He's he.
[36:35] Would be ideal on paper. He is actually, I would actually
[36:39] argue he is the definition of a right back that can play a
[36:42] little center back as he gets old.
[36:44] Like they're you're not going to get more.
[36:45] He's named Daniel Carvajal Ramos for God's sake.
[36:48] Like. Yeah, but see, but this is this
[36:52] is what I'm saying about players who are over 30.
[36:55] Carvajal is 33 coming off a major injury.
[36:59] That is concerning to me, very concerning because what's going
[37:02] to happen is they're going to say, oh, grind him into the
[37:06] ground. Now he's what?
[37:08] Like again, we need layers and depths there, right?
[37:12] Like I can't have Carbajal be like the main, the main dude
[37:17] like. Totally.
[37:18] Totally like can't, no cannot. But just I just want to say
[37:22] realistically, I think Saliba and I think Saliba and Konate
[37:25] are the targets. Like what?
[37:26] Whether, who we? Want.
[37:28] They're all different. I think the agents are already
[37:29] pretty deep with them. Yeah, I'm, I'm pretty sure we're
[37:31] negotiating at this point and and.
[37:33] It's so funny. There's still also something.
[37:35] Happens on the Rodrigo deal. Oh, you well.
[37:39] You mean Arsenal pull out because they go for someone
[37:41] else? No.
[37:43] What if Madrid go like, OK, I want one of those central bags.
[37:46] Saliba, oh, that'd. Be nice.
[37:50] Well, it all comes down to Saliba then.
[37:51] Saliba needs to convince Arsenal.
[37:52] Hey, guys, like if you don't swap me, I promise you like this
[37:56] will not end well between us. Yeah.
[37:58] But it looks like it's not going to end well anyways, right?
[38:02] Between Saliba is a free agent Between.
[38:07] It. Looks like still, Saliba doesn't
[38:12] seem that committed to Arsenal to be like, OK, I'm going to
[38:16] enter negotiations now. You know, I was just thinking
[38:18] last year. Also, if he was there tonight,
[38:21] just saying, not many one player you could swap in and change the
[38:24] whole game. But if there's one guy, in my
[38:25] opinion, I was just watching the game.
[38:26] I'm like, if there's a guy who could suddenly inspire
[38:28] confidence, I think Saliba over Ascencio would change the whole
[38:31] thing. Like he's so good.
[38:33] Saliba, you know, like in my opinion, defensively, his impact
[38:37] is like similar to prime Ramos in terms of how much space he
[38:41] can cover. He's very like as an athlete.
[38:44] If I had to compare him as an athlete to how he feels, how he
[38:47] plays, the way he his personality, he's just like
[38:50] Ramos to me. And even Rudiger kind of was
[38:52] before he joined. But saliva you could argue a
[38:56] different level to Rudiger when he joined.
[38:57] Like this is the best center back in the world right?
[39:00] Right now, I would say. Van Dyke Van.
[39:02] Dyke still. So along with Van Dyke, I mean
[39:05] both of them. That dude is still so fucking
[39:09] good man. Yeah, imagine Van Dyke on the
[39:11] same though. Oh well, we've got no problems
[39:13] now, we're OK. I'm on the age side of things
[39:16] with Van Dyke. I like something else that
[39:18] funnicism. Sorry.
[39:19] Go ahead, look. Go ahead.
[39:21] When General, it was, you know, seven months ago.
[39:24] Now I have that delusion of Van Dyke and trend.
[39:27] On a free delusion. For a bit and then in one play,
[39:32] three goes in science and I'm like God.
[39:35] I wonder what's going through their head at that point.
[39:37] Firstly, I don't think we would pursue him too much just because
[39:40] you know how we are as a team, yeah.
[39:42] Because of these days, right, We were never going to give the
[39:44] contract, yeah. But man, not even just Van Dyke.
[39:46] Now you've got me thinking. They had they had a left footed
[39:49] right winger who was running his contract down too, named Mosala.
[39:52] And damn, like what if we could have talked them all in?
[39:55] But I'm just joking. But but I think but Franco's
[39:58] going to help this team. Alvaro's going to help this
[40:00] team. We're going to sign.
[40:02] Looks like we're going to go put first center back after this.
[40:06] Looks like we got our striker. Feels like we're just like it's
[40:09] just a move, right? Is there anything major like
[40:11] Camelina needs to stay healthy so he can rotate Fede and Fede's
[40:14] not the one taking all the load for both their minutes?
[40:18] I feel like that's a lot of it. Now one thing I don't know if
[40:20] you guys have anything to add. When When Jude is out, who is
[40:25] the Jude replacement? Who's Jude's backup?
[40:27] Franco Brombley. And Brahim to some degree.
[40:31] Brahim, but I think Franco is going to be the guy who gets the
[40:34] nod. A lot of minutes.
[40:36] Well, we have Franco, Gonzalo, Vinnie and Papa and on that
[40:39] note, so when Jude is out and like you know, Jude out kind of
[40:42] like Fede moving out of the midfield is going to create a
[40:44] whole new set of issues and how our front attacking dynamics go.
[40:48] What do you guys think of like Vinnie and Papa?
[40:50] We talked a little bit about Garcia.
[40:52] Now I personally just want to say like the dynamics between
[40:55] them. Garcia tracking the Nuno Mendez
[40:59] definitely took him out of the game a little on offense it was
[41:01] harder to find him because it's like why is Garcia the one on
[41:03] the right wing and Papa get your ass out there track Nuno bro.
[41:05] Like let's be honest, it like the best outcome for this team
[41:09] from a like geometric spatial athleticism perspective is
[41:13] Killian sprinting down the right and getting on the end of those
[41:16] balls. Garcia was working his ass off
[41:18] as a right winger, but I don't think this works if Garcia has
[41:22] to track the right back. I think this works if Garcia is
[41:24] the striker and Vinny and and Bappe are playing off him a
[41:26] little more. I'm just going to say, thank God
[41:29] there's just one new momentous and you don't go through that
[41:33] again. You know, there's just one of
[41:35] that guy. So yeah, but, but, but we we had
[41:37] Hakimi looking like the second coming tonight.
[41:40] Like, I mean, look, we all talked about Vinny and Bobby
[41:46] together and there's tons of people in the chat saying
[41:48] they're never going to work, they're never going to work,
[41:49] they're never going to work. I will say that's likely
[41:53] incorrect given their combined goal and assist output in a down
[41:57] season, right? Still very high.
[41:59] What they need to be better at is when they are not pressing,
[42:05] just their ability to close off simple passing angles of the
[42:11] opponent. Like can you do that when you
[42:14] are running towards somebody? Can you take the right angle to
[42:16] cut off the pass? That's going to now lead a huge
[42:19] part of their build up, make them go backward and recycle the
[42:22] ball. Can you do that?
[42:23] That's all, Just get better at that.
[42:25] Please get better at that. Yeah, Ronaldo Mentima.
[42:31] Just get better at doing that and because they are horrendous
[42:35] at that. Fucking terrible.
[42:38] Because when you combine that with their inability to head the
[42:39] ball, it's like these guys are nowhere near the Ronaldo Benzema
[42:42] right now. They need, we need a lot more.
[42:44] They're they're and they're not, they're dribbling isn't
[42:45] delivering too. And it makes me like a lot for
[42:49] people who are worried. I think the biggest worry with
[42:51] Vinnie and Bapa is how quickly does their dribbling fall off in
[42:54] long spaces? Because that's the first thing
[42:56] that falls off for every winger. Even Messi, the first thing in
[42:59] my opinion that he lost was like very long distance acceleration
[43:02] and transition. Then he started maybe losing it
[43:06] even in shorter spaces, but the first thing 20-30 yards.
[43:09] So that's starting to go. I think that's relevant.
[43:12] But Lecante, what do you think of Vinnie's like Club World Cup?
[43:15] Lot of people are complaining about a Club World.
[43:17] I just want to know which or both of you like especially you
[43:20] Lecante, just because the way you think of the game.
[43:21] What do you think of Vinnie? I thought he had a poor game
[43:27] against Dortmund, poor game tonight, poor against Sally lol.
[43:30] I thought he was very good on the other games.
[43:34] So it's like a 5050 split in terms of his performances,
[43:37] right? But it's also the conditions
[43:40] that is put in what he's asked to do.
[43:42] I said that I hope to see Vinny more centrally in Jude wider for
[43:45] today's game if we want to recycle possession higher up.
[43:49] Because Vinnie keeps kind of like over over dribbling it.
[43:52] Spinning is a bit off, but all of these in my eyes are
[43:57] coachable. All of these in my eyes are more
[44:00] time on the training ground, more time on the training
[44:02] ground. You're used to be different,
[44:06] you're used to have a bigger ball load and now you're being
[44:10] asked to release it quicker to play quicker.
[44:14] For Vinnie, it's arguably the biggest change, but I think that
[44:17] he's going to be one of the biggest players to benefit from
[44:20] all of this. Just like you said, from career
[44:23] standpoint, this is taking like that high load of extra yards of
[44:29] dribbling kind of way because the team is more set up like
[44:33] that. I'm a bit disappointed, but I
[44:36] I'm not shocked that this was the result.
[44:39] I think that normally he was fine in general 5050.
[44:44] Yeah, I, I, I thought Vinny, you know, till at this point mixed
[44:47] bag this Club World Cup, right? Like obviously the last few
[44:50] games poor when he played centrally, I loved it in this
[44:53] Club World Cup. I'm like, this is how I like
[44:56] Vinny to play, right? And he had this nice synergy
[44:59] working playing off of Gonzalo Garcia right now.
[45:02] I'm not saying that he can't have that with Killian and all
[45:05] that like, it's just that the, the, the way Gonzalo is wired
[45:13] and in a way his brain works to understand the game, it fits
[45:17] better with what Vinny Vinny wants to do right in, in those
[45:20] moments. Whereas as we talked about a
[45:21] million times, Killian and Vinny something they're not smart.
[45:24] They just often want to do the same kinds of things often
[45:28] right. And that causes issues.
[45:30] And you know, do you move one out left and put the other one
[45:33] centrally, right? Is that better, right?
[45:34] Is it better to have? Well, that's the question we
[45:36] should ask, right? Should Vinnie be the one playing
[45:38] centrally? And you move Killian out left,
[45:40] right. Like, is this what we do now to
[45:42] to to make things better going forward?
[45:44] It's just so funny because Killian not long ago Vinnie was
[45:46] cooking like a song in the chat pointed and Killian was just
[45:49] struggling and now it's flipped. But just want to say that Vinnie
[45:54] struggled under Zedan partly because for somewhat similar
[45:58] reasons that we're seeing now in that in a positional system, a
[46:01] winger like him has to be a lot more careful with when they
[46:04] speed up the game or slow it down.
[46:06] They need to be slowing it down like, a lot more times.
[46:09] Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they need to pick their
[46:11] moments and still thrive even though they're being forced to
[46:14] pick their moments. And like, he really was.
[46:17] The thing is, Vinnie Anderson on the first time wasn't struggling
[46:19] actually as a creator. It was just as a finisher.
[46:21] It's funny now he's starting to struggle, I guess a little more
[46:24] as a creator at points, just his first touch, his dribble, which
[46:27] he did also a little then. But the biggest problem under
[46:30] Zeon was he was just underperforming, his XG
[46:32] significantly, missing everything, wasting chances in
[46:35] front of goal. But I just feel like as the
[46:39] winger gets older, we we saw this from Ronaldo.
[46:42] We moved from a more transition team under Mourinho to a more
[46:47] possession oriented team under Carlo and then extremely under
[46:50] Zeidan. And also just going back to his
[46:52] times, United, Ronaldo went from 5-6 dribbles a game to three to
[46:55] four dribbles a game to two to three, one to two to not even
[46:58] dribbling. It's just natural.
[47:00] And I think we have to accept that.
[47:01] Maybe Vinnie, like it's hard to accept.
[47:04] But if there's a tough, bitter pill to swallow and and that's
[47:06] where this tournament being in a weird time of the year means
[47:09] maybe it's not true. Is that Vinnie it might have
[47:11] beat as a pure dribbler. And just like Killian probably
[47:14] already has a few years ago from what we're seeing, and what we
[47:18] have to deal with is the guy who's not as good and dribbling.
[47:21] And the hard thing to do with guys who can't dribble is if
[47:24] they can't head it, they still need to be effective creators.
[47:27] But like you said with Conte, I think, I think this is all
[47:29] coachable. And that's where when you're
[47:32] like carrying teams for so long, being forced to play in Dan
[47:35] July, man, for a guy like him, Vinnie needs a little break too.
[47:38] Like we just need all our guys need to make sure they're fully
[47:42] fit going forward. But yeah, I just feel like, you
[47:45] know, if if he's like 80% physically, that changes the
[47:48] whole way you view the tournament because this guy
[47:49] needs to be 100% to beat his man.
[47:51] Like he's a strength. It's going to be very hard,
[47:53] right? La Liga starts in a month, you
[47:55] know? And it's like these players have
[47:57] to be back in training in like, what, 2 1/2 weeks now, yeah.
[48:00] Probably, yeah. Presumably, or first of all,
[48:03] just how long. He's probably going to call them
[48:05] for a second. He's going to tell them.
[48:08] OK, guys, the group. La Liga already denied Madrid's
[48:12] request a pushback game on. They're like, no, Tabos is like
[48:15] fuck you, you're playing, you're playing on the 19th.
[48:17] Yeah, and the that was agreed to doing it.
[48:22] They agreed to doing it. And La Liga still went like
[48:26] Nope. I, I want to, I want to address
[48:29] this cake eater comment right here.
[48:30] Dembele, Duay, Rafina and the rest played just as much while
[48:32] defending and working much harder than Vinnie.
[48:34] I want to be very clear about something.
[48:35] Go look at the total minutes that Dembele and Duay and all
[48:38] those guys played this season. Far less than most of the
[48:41] Madrid's players, right? Those guys had a nice rotation
[48:44] this season, right? And nice rotation this season.
[48:48] Inflated numbers. I'm telling you right now this
[48:51] harder than the COVID tax like whatever you want to put it like
[48:58] the respectfully, please don't put Rafina Vini on the same
[49:02] sentence then Bella. OK, but as Jared mentioned, he
[49:05] played like what, 22 League One games?
[49:07] 1919 League One games, 19 weeks ordering Uber Eats and watching
[49:12] the League One games. Yeah, and guess what, He came
[49:15] into Club World Cup injured and it's like.
[49:18] Exactly. You're right.
[49:19] You know, like. Just wrestling three games and
[49:22] plays his quick, his doing. Having that luxury, you know
[49:26] like imagine if Messing Ronaldo had that luxury, they would have
[49:29] still been playing at the top probably and competing for the
[49:31] Balandor. But instead these guys have to
[49:33] rack up like 4000 minutes a season.
[49:38] Enrique somehow one up. Pep's choice of club man.
[49:41] He did it like he somehow one up Pep.
[49:43] Like Pep goes and picks a team that gives him endless players.
[49:46] Enrique one up and I can rest my team.
[49:48] I don't play Liverpool. Arsenal.
[49:49] Jokes on you Pep, you went to the league with Klopp and
[49:51] Artetas. Jokes on you clown.
[49:54] I got my second treble and look how easy that was.
[49:58] I got total money too, by the way.
[50:00] Just don't know, you know, he's just like this player,
[50:05] 75,000,000. Yeah, sure.
[50:08] You know 75,000,000 player off the bench in Gonchalo Ramos.
[50:13] This. You get it wrong you just loan
[50:15] him out to uve call him money. It's ridiculous.
[50:19] We. Have Columani on top he's.
[50:20] On Uve, he's on Uve, yeah. This is interesting from
[50:26] Nemirium. Did you guys notice how as soon
[50:28] as Mbappe enters the 11 Vinicia stops pressing?
[50:31] He was intense with Gigi before this game at La Conde.
[50:36] Yeah, but again, one game, it's a very small sample and I don't
[50:42] think that Vinnie and Mbappa, as I said at the start of the show,
[50:44] when instructed the price, they were instructed more to cut
[50:47] passing angles and passing lanes.
[50:49] But everything was kind of broken apart, very easy.
[50:53] We didn't get to see what we wanted to do.
[50:56] I'm I'm not going to go and be like, OK, one game, Vinnie's not
[50:59] going to work out because Zimbabwe's not right.
[51:03] I don't think that is that exist.
[51:05] I don't think that's the. Other thing I'll say you guys,
[51:08] is Foley's fans who want to pile on Vinnie right now because it's
[51:11] fun and it's easy, right? Because he's he's not.
[51:13] He's he's in a bad run of form right now.
[51:14] I promise you. Replace Vinnicius with just a
[51:18] league average player and you'll be crying begging for Bennie to
[51:22] come back. All I'm saying like trust me,
[51:25] like I'm having a bad run right now, but this guy is one of the
[51:28] world's best. I just have a question for
[51:31] people that if they want to engage on the chat, if you're
[51:34] replacing Benicius on this team bench Snip, who are you bench
[51:37] Nim for? Rodrigo, they say.
[51:40] I'm just kidding. Yeah, well, Rodrigo got benched
[51:42] the whole tournaments on that. No, I mean, I know we brought it
[51:44] up before, but just once more like, it just speaks volumes
[51:47] that like no matter the scenario or the situation, we just didn't
[51:50] count on. Like we counted on Modric almost
[51:52] more like we just didn't count on Rodrigo and it's because he
[51:55] didn't have the burst. And you know, maybe Vinny and
[51:58] Rodrigo were both lacking some burst.
[52:00] But then you see when Vinny lacks burst, it's a subpar
[52:02] tournament. Rodrigo lacks burst.
[52:04] You can't get on the pitch to like levels.
[52:06] But you know, it's just funny. Those combos were just five
[52:09] games ago, and then Rodrigo hasn't seen a minute since the
[52:11] conversations happen. Well, that's the thing.
[52:13] And if Alonzo is not even giving him garbage minutes, what does
[52:18] that tell you? I'm just hoping the deal is
[52:19] done. That means the deal is done.
[52:23] He went from starting out saying Rodrigo is an important player,
[52:26] right? He started game one.
[52:28] He didn't do much in that. I mean, he had the assist,
[52:30] right? We got to give him credit for
[52:31] the assist, but you know, he had all the problems that we talked
[52:33] about, which is he's not fast on the ball.
[52:36] I guess dispossessed too easily, like, right?
[52:38] Like so you think because you put him on the side he likes,
[52:41] he's all of a sudden going to get faster and not get knocked
[52:43] off the ball? Right.
[52:45] Also his his XG and expected assists total is like lower than
[52:49] Vinnie's when he plays on the left anyways so I just don't.
[52:52] He just doesn't beat Vinnie in any category.
[52:54] No, no creativity. We're not even getting into
[52:57] athletism at all, you know, because it's a pointless debate
[53:00] there. So it's just like Rodrigo would
[53:03] be nice for other teams, not for this.
[53:05] What if Arsenal, I think Arsenal actually might maybe Arsenal
[53:10] talk to us and he's like play him some.
[53:12] Maybe they saw. But like don't make it obvious
[53:14] that like the deal is done. We'll finish the deal after the
[53:17] tournament because we got ironed out this little shit.
[53:19] But you can take him to the tournament because y'all don't
[53:21] get Franco and y'all need him. And then maybe they watch that
[53:24] first game and they're like, hey, stop playing him.
[53:26] Like, I don't know, like maybe just say because Arsenal are
[53:30] also trying to play the leverage game with teams.
[53:32] So maybe they don't want everyone to know deal is done.
[53:34] So teams think they want players like they think they're on the
[53:37] market for a left wing and they find out what teams are doing.
[53:40] And I'm just saying because why else what he plays here?
[53:42] Like, it is a very weird way he's played minutes and it's
[53:45] like almost so harsh that it's like without any thought of how
[53:49] much he's worth on the market, almost as if it's been decided
[53:52] already. That's the point, right?
[53:54] Is that you can't even get garbage minutes.
[53:57] I mean right this. Is what he's.
[53:59] Telling you maybe? Due to respect maybe?
[54:02] Maybe. You know, maybe I respect you a
[54:05] little bit more than give you those 10 minutes when.
[54:08] But if he is this game changing player, that's the money these
[54:11] fans think why when they subbed off Benny they didn't put
[54:14] Rodrigo in the game. If he's a game changer, you all
[54:17] think he is right. Why didn't Javi put him in the
[54:20] game? Yep.
[54:23] And I also think, I think the big thing people need to realize
[54:25] is Franco is going to be important from early.
[54:27] That's my big prediction. Just watching the whole World
[54:29] Cup. We need Franco.
[54:31] We need that profile like oxygen, that area.
[54:35] The pitch is starving for a guy who cuts in and dribbles like
[54:37] him so. We need to address a comment
[54:41] that was like, oh, Franco is not like a specimen athletically
[54:45] when when we were speaking about him being a good Rodrigo
[54:47] replacement. Listen.
[54:50] The point isn't to be a specimen as athletic player.
[54:54] The point is you need to be at least an expert at something
[54:59] that you do. And Franco is very good at
[55:01] coming on the inside playing that short pass.
[55:04] And unlike Rodrigo, he actually duels players.
[55:07] You know, like we already saw that unlike Rodrigo, in fact, he
[55:11] actually goes against players like he was going against Ramos
[55:14] for the law of God. I know that it was a 39 years
[55:17] old Ramos, but that's still, you know, it's 18 years old who
[55:21] can't even get the Spanish passport.
[55:23] That's to me. And Franco is just a different
[55:27] profile and it's a video profile.
[55:29] Especially if you don't have players like Jude on the pitch.
[55:33] If you need a little bit more needle pass, if you're going to
[55:35] lose all that, going to use all that a little bit deeper.
[55:39] He gives you that thing, which Rodrigo is not gonna.
[55:43] You're not going to sit here and tell me that Rodrigo is going to
[55:46] give you a killer pass because I don't think I've seen the guy do
[55:48] a killer pass once in his career, let alone expect that
[55:52] out of him consistently. To my eyes and let me know if
[55:55] you guys agree with this. Again, I have to have actual
[55:59] metrics done to make it a a definitive thing, but to my eyes
[56:03] Franco already looks faster than Rodrigo to my eyes.
[56:06] He's my eyes as well. The people say he doesn't.
[56:08] My eyes, That's what I see. That's.
[56:10] What I see and physically he also looks physically stronger
[56:14] than Rodrigo to my eyes. Yeah, and like 5 years younger
[56:17] on top of it. So I don't I.
[56:19] Don't know. Top side of development is much.
[56:21] Higher. Also the same age version, the
[56:23] same age. Like I remember the just go
[56:25] watch the highlights of Rodrigo at the same age versus Franco.
[56:28] Like, like Rodrigo was good, but he wasn't like, hey, we brought
[56:31] him for his technique in finesse.
[56:33] To be honest, the path for him to being elite was like becoming
[56:37] a plus finisher, like a really plus ball striker with his clean
[56:40] technique and he never got there.
[56:42] That's too right. Or develop the pass.
[56:44] Of the pass and those just never came right.
[56:48] He's a nice, fluffy, agile dribbler, but that's where it
[56:52] kind of ends for him in Madrid. I don't think that's the case in
[56:56] every team. As I've said before, I think
[56:58] Arsenal make a good football in the environment for him, Madrid
[57:01] doesn't. But again.
[57:03] And one thing though, even to him, if I could say to him,
[57:07] because we all have seen the interviews where he's complained
[57:10] about his position, right? Where he goes like, oh, right,
[57:13] isn't my position. Where did Madrid instruct your
[57:18] team in Brazil to play? Oh, guess what?
[57:20] How do I know this? Because I actually used to watch
[57:23] them back then for MMV, right? So I kind of had the grasp for
[57:27] both of them. And Rodrigo played on the right
[57:30] before he came to Madrid. So this all left wing, You're
[57:35] going to get the best of me. Yeah, maybe you're you're a
[57:38] better left winger than you are as a right winger, but that
[57:41] doesn't inherently change your footballing skills.
[57:45] Why isn't 19 years old desired way just playing on the left of
[57:50] the right center forward? Just.
[57:52] A matter. Of 19, right?
[57:54] And you, you're sitting there and complaining about your
[57:58] position. I just don't like things like
[58:01] that for some foremost, and I don't think he has it in him.
[58:05] That's the reality. Again, we're talking about this
[58:08] guy. Speed and dribbling are
[58:11] transferable skills. It doesn't matter what side of
[58:14] the field you're on. If you're fast, you're fast.
[58:16] If you can dribble, you can. It doesn't matter where you are
[58:19] there. Are more comfortable angles
[58:21] right of? Course I.
[58:22] Understand that, but the fact that you're telling me so he's
[58:26] played right winger basically since he was 1818 to 23.
[58:31] You haven't been able to find your angles on the right because
[58:35] normally you need to find the angles.
[58:36] Let it be OK, I can move the ball around, shuffle it, get on
[58:40] the inside, maybe develop my left foot a little bit so I can
[58:45] pin some goals in where the opponent doesn't.
[58:48] You get mad at that. So that's why I said even before
[58:51] the Club World Cup started that it was time to move on.
[58:54] Unfortunately. Well, Laporta played The Dirty
[58:56] game and he pretty much politically removed Nicole
[59:00] Williams completely from the equation.
[59:02] Now with that contract, it it's a for people that fell for that.
[59:08] Barcelona were never going to be able to sign him.
[59:11] I'm telling you right now, 58,000,000 straight up for a
[59:13] club that just announced their stadium release clause,
[59:17] Barcelona were never going to pay that.
[59:19] But what they did is they just politically played the game of
[59:22] OK, we're trying to make transfers just in case they end
[59:25] up a little bit short. We try.
[59:27] This guy betrayed us. Maybe they tried in terms of
[59:30] they sat down with Nico and he probably agreed to their terms,
[59:35] right? But then LaPorte just went like,
[59:37] oh guess what, we don't have the money.
[59:39] Even though all all along he knew that those are The Dirty
[59:43] games that some of the clubs play.
[59:45] Barcelona are experts of that and Nico is not removed from
[59:49] equation. If we were to speak about the
[59:51] perfect right winger, I always had him as a perfect right
[59:54] winger because he's that Channel running.
[59:57] I don't, I don't know if Mbappe is going to be able to do that.
[1:00:00] I'm going to be honest, the channel, the channel that
[1:00:03] Gonzalez brought, I don't think Mbappe is going to be able.
[1:00:06] To do. I just wanted to touch on that.
[1:00:08] Like I think one take away is Vinny's iffy as a creator.
[1:00:13] I think Mbappe is good enough ball boomer.
[1:00:15] I think we're fine with him. But yeah, it seems like the
[1:00:18] channel runs and the dribbling are not going to come from the
[1:00:20] creation. Doesn't come from him at all.
[1:00:22] It feels like, Yeah, he doesn't like like he does well with
[1:00:26] Gonzalo in central areas, but he doesn't feel wide at all.
[1:00:29] And it's really sad, honestly. I'm going to be honest, my dream
[1:00:33] of Mbappe, like true, what I wanted to see is like kind of
[1:00:36] dead. I don't think we'll ever see it
[1:00:37] if this is the case, to be honest.
[1:00:40] Look, it is we talked about this on earlier episodes of this
[1:00:47] show, Sid, which was Bob is available, right?
[1:00:50] A player of that caliber you go after when you get them, right?
[1:00:52] But with the money spent, would it, you're right.
[1:00:56] What would it have been better to spend on other areas and
[1:00:59] other profiles of this club? And would this give Chubby more
[1:01:02] flexibility and tactical versatility when deciding what
[1:01:04] he wants to do? So now his challenge is we are
[1:01:07] where we are. Benny and Bobby likely aren't
[1:01:10] going anywhere. You have to find a way to make
[1:01:13] this work somehow. How?
[1:01:15] That's when he gets paid whatever Chubby's salary is,
[1:01:18] which is pretty high, right? This is his job.
[1:01:20] Him and his staff, they have to figure out how to make this work
[1:01:24] and. That's where this was just the
[1:01:25] first game. I want to be clear out it's.
[1:01:27] I don't think it's. One game, right, and it's
[1:01:30] against the current champions. League team in the world, they
[1:01:33] lost the best, the top team, the top team.
[1:01:35] In the world. I'm just thinking of profile,
[1:01:38] all right, Profile wise, is Zimbabwe going to sacrifice like
[1:01:42] Gonzalo does on running of the channel every time we get that
[1:01:47] breakthrough of the wing? Don't think so, I'm being
[1:01:51] honest. But to the question, when you
[1:01:53] went like, would you go for profile on Mbabe?
[1:01:55] I would still go for Mbabe. Guy's a Golden Boot winner, you
[1:01:58] know, like he's going to sort majority of the games out
[1:02:02] because he's that damn good. But you need to find stability
[1:02:07] with that. So that's up to the coach.
[1:02:09] But I would still go and Bob, I I don't see a problem why you
[1:02:12] wouldn't make this signing at any point 10 out of 10 times.
[1:02:16] If I'm sitting on that room, I'm just making it because I don't
[1:02:18] care about the profile. I'm just getting way too many
[1:02:21] goals in return, too much and product in return of whatever
[1:02:27] I'm paying. I here's.
[1:02:29] The question, I'm with you. I'm with you.
[1:02:31] Here's the question I have for both of you.
[1:02:34] Does Chabi have enough juice with the board and with
[1:02:39] Florentino 2? Obviously you're going to play
[1:02:43] Benin and Bape, but the days of them going full 90s together,
[1:02:50] I'm subbing out one. One's going to shift to the
[1:02:52] other one's position. Gonzalo's getting run here.
[1:02:54] We might bring in Franco depending on what the game state
[1:02:56] calls for. Will he have enough juice to do
[1:02:59] that? Because that's what I think the
[1:03:00] ultimate thing is that 90 minutes of both of them in
[1:03:03] certain matches are not going to be productive for us.
[1:03:06] And will he be able to take one out and sub out 4560 minutes in
[1:03:09] whatever the case may be? He does that though.
[1:03:13] Well, no. Well, that's the thing.
[1:03:14] It's just a Club World Cup, right?
[1:03:15] It's one thing to do that now, another to do it over the course
[1:03:19] of the full season. Champions.
[1:03:20] League in and when the season goal he had the juice to do it
[1:03:23] then. And what's interesting is on a
[1:03:26] parallel note, and I have a bigger point here, is that if
[1:03:29] the team with Vinnie and Abape is good and maybe in smaller
[1:03:35] games with them together, but in the big games, it's going to
[1:03:39] take a while maybe for it to work.
[1:03:41] But the big games are where there's more pressure on Jabi to
[1:03:44] kind of put this Super 11 out. I feel like just as a brand to
[1:03:48] have Binyanabape work in the biggest.
[1:03:50] That's why I'm asking about the juice.
[1:03:51] Can he be like, well man, we're trying to win my guy, like.
[1:03:55] Well, that that's where it's interesting because also I just
[1:03:57] want to say when Zadan had to have the juice, so to speak, it
[1:04:00] was benching Hames or Isco for Casamaro.
[1:04:03] And that is a big sub, but it is a little different to benching
[1:04:06] Vinnie or Ambape for a Gonzalo or maybe even a Franco.
[1:04:10] And I, I think that I will just say this.
[1:04:13] If there's a season you do have that juice with the board, it
[1:04:16] has to be the one that when you have no preseason, when you
[1:04:19] actually have such a load on everyone where you can.
[1:04:23] So I hope so. But I do think that's the
[1:04:26] $1,000,000 question as to how the season goes, because I think
[1:04:29] this has made so much easier. I think you can even work in big
[1:04:32] games, by the way. I just think it's made so much
[1:04:34] easier if Jobby can pick and choose and play one of them at a
[1:04:37] time, a lot to start. And then as we build up the big
[1:04:40] games, eventually figure out some combos.
[1:04:43] And I think this is as hard as it's going to get against PSG.
[1:04:46] Like if we play them again next year in April, May, I think we
[1:04:51] look way better, for what it's worth.
[1:04:52] But Lacanzi, what do you think about all this?
[1:04:54] Yeah, but well, I think Javi has the power to bench them.
[1:04:59] I believe that if needed. I don't see the reason why
[1:05:03] because again, I fall back into if you're having to play your
[1:05:07] Gala 11, right, which would have been today's line up with Trent
[1:05:12] and Hoiston, right. We touched upon that.
[1:05:16] Are they going to be a problem? Are they going to be a minus or
[1:05:19] a plus? Because often when I see how
[1:05:22] they seem place right, it's often clock center with the ball
[1:05:25] over the top always to run right.
[1:05:29] So normally in every circumstance, these two rats
[1:05:33] should fit that mold and we have to see of course, I'm just
[1:05:36] talking on based on their profiles.
[1:05:40] I don't think that even today, though, we saw Vinny of the
[1:05:44] right attempting A dribble, but I feel the left attempting A
[1:05:47] dribble. There was no clogging of the
[1:05:50] space. It was still working in terms of
[1:05:54] communication where one guy is going to be where the other is
[1:05:56] going to be as they're switching of the ball or against the ball.
[1:06:02] We have to see how Alonzo plans it.
[1:06:05] I don't think Alonzo is that do or die by the press.
[1:06:09] He doesn't mind, as he said, settling back.
[1:06:12] And I think that that's how majority of his big games are
[1:06:17] going to look like anyways, because he he wants to create
[1:06:20] those artificial transitions. So normal circumstances, I don't
[1:06:25] know why alone SO would be put in that position.
[1:06:28] But as long as he he just needs to coach a better defense when
[1:06:31] as long as like like if you want to create artificial
[1:06:33] transitions, in my opinion, with the level of talent you have,
[1:06:36] you still have to do it with a 442451.
[1:06:38] You can't do it in a 433 block with three guys up like it's
[1:06:41] never gonna. Yeah, you can spread it.
[1:06:44] I thought that was and that was a naive coach mistake from him
[1:06:46] today. And I mean, it doesn't matter
[1:06:49] whether you attribute it to him or to the players.
[1:06:52] That's just something that needs to improve from them
[1:06:54] collectively like they need. Like there's clear film of
[1:06:56] Vinnie failing to cut off certain passing lanes when he
[1:06:59] could have very easily, Killian just not.
[1:07:01] And obviously the whole thing with Gonzalo being dragged to
[1:07:04] the right wing, that needs to change.
[1:07:06] Yeah. We just need the days of the
[1:07:07] coach telling them, hey, you're tracking the fullback to return.
[1:07:10] I mean, I get why you don't want to track Nuno, because Nuno can.
[1:07:14] But here's the thing, guys, we beat Zidane, beat Enriquez,
[1:07:16] Barcelona by having Ronaldo, and they'll track Alba and Alves or
[1:07:20] whoever was. It was Roberto back then.
[1:07:22] So he. Yeah.
[1:07:23] So he had them track the fullback.
[1:07:25] Sometimes you go up against the juggernaut Luis Enrique team and
[1:07:28] you just got to do what you got to do.
[1:07:29] But it's just it's only certain games on the calendar that are
[1:07:33] going to. Stress our team this.
[1:07:37] Much. You know, to be fair, right, PSG
[1:07:41] is the best team in the world. This team has this is what, year
[1:07:44] 3 of Enrique, Year 2, Whatever it.
[1:07:47] Is. They are In Sync like you would
[1:07:50] not believe when we talked about it at the start, right that that
[1:07:53] front 3 is so interchangeable, right?
[1:07:56] If they can just, and it's not like, Oh my God, what do we do?
[1:07:59] They just know when 1 floats out, the other one's already
[1:08:02] replacing and moving. It's it's brilliant and
[1:08:04] beautiful. Ultimately that's what we want
[1:08:06] to be right where it's so seamless.
[1:08:08] And so we with a new lineup, by the way, as we mentioned with
[1:08:11] people who've never started before together under this new
[1:08:14] system, good luck go up against the best team in the world.
[1:08:17] And you compound that with just poor skill play, right, in terms
[1:08:21] of clearances, right? Which that that that just set
[1:08:24] the as we mentioned in the Conti last episode, football such a
[1:08:27] low margin sport in terms of goal scoring, right?
[1:08:30] One goal often makes a difference in many football
[1:08:32] matches. You go down to nil in that by
[1:08:35] minute 10 you're already cooked at this point, right?
[1:08:38] Game plan out the window. Like, OK, now what do we got to
[1:08:42] do? We have to shift everything now
[1:08:43] with a new team. Right, because they kind of lost
[1:08:48] their hat, if we want to be honest.
[1:08:49] Because it's like back-to-back mistakes.
[1:08:51] It's not just one and they're reshuffling, it's back-to-back,
[1:08:54] right? It's minute when first mistake
[1:08:57] happens on the 10th minute, a mistake gets repeated by the
[1:09:01] others on the back. It's like there is a little bit
[1:09:05] of like of mental composer. I would say that lacking on this
[1:09:09] thing right now. Even Chuomini right when he got
[1:09:12] the yellow card, he had no need to get it.
[1:09:16] I think he. Was so pissed.
[1:09:17] I was like, fucking hey, we're getting our ass kicked.
[1:09:19] And he was, he was just pissed. And he's like, I'm going to go
[1:09:21] tackle somebody. He was just like you were
[1:09:24] frustrated and he wanted like, this is my opportunity to get
[1:09:28] this guy down. I'm going to take him down.
[1:09:29] No. That's what happens when you're
[1:09:31] down and the game's not going. We've seen it happen for us in
[1:09:33] like Classico was like when E Co got red carded under local
[1:09:36] Tegra. Like when are down you just you
[1:09:38] lose your head and you just take people.
[1:09:41] It's normal, it's emotional, but it feels that even against
[1:09:45] Dolphin, right? Most comfortable KO games that
[1:09:48] I've seen Madrid in a very long time.
[1:09:50] Generally they almost blew it in the end because it's just that
[1:09:55] you don't want human. Nature you let you let the put
[1:09:58] off the gas. Drew a man he's out of the game.
[1:10:01] You're like, all right, like it's cool, you know, you just.
[1:10:04] Chill out. And it's like, oh, the
[1:10:07] goalkeeper needs to pull off a save where it doesn't go to
[1:10:11] extra time with you on 10 men. So it's like, I don't know, this
[1:10:16] is a problem. It's an inherent problem, to be
[1:10:19] honest, because this isn't the first time that mistakes have.
[1:10:23] We always go back to Baron against Manchester City, he's go
[1:10:26] against Barcelona. And we have had a lot of these
[1:10:29] cases, a lot of them over the years.
[1:10:31] Like even when we were dominant as a side, we still have had
[1:10:36] like, it's kind of ingrained in us to be a little bit more.
[1:10:40] And yeah, like momentum, Riley's team where it when the momentum
[1:10:46] is against us, we can attempt to lose it.
[1:10:51] Someone put a quote I I'm not not 1000% sure it's real, but I
[1:10:55] don't see why Nigerian frequenter of the channel would
[1:10:57] lie Luis Enrique on the gap between the two teams different
[1:10:59] situations. Javi Alonso is new.
[1:11:01] We've been working on this for two years.
[1:11:03] It's normal. Well said Luis, and he knows
[1:11:06] because we got the talent and like I said, I expect him to
[1:11:10] figure it out With Vinnie and Mbappe starting a good sound
[1:11:13] defensive unit by April, May, maybe sooner, probably way
[1:11:17] sooner and I think it'll look good and it's just going to be a
[1:11:21] little bit of a process to make sure everyone's fit and on the
[1:11:24] same page. Biggest work is probably just
[1:11:26] making sure everyone's healthy after the Club World Cup, like
[1:11:28] just giving everyone the right amount of time off and rotation.
[1:11:32] This is what's worrying me because so our first match for
[1:11:35] La Liga next season is August 19th.
[1:11:37] That is basically four weeks from today.
[1:11:40] No, six weeks, excuse me from today, but we have to start
[1:11:44] preseason or training two weeks before the 19th.
[1:11:47] So really they have 3 1/2 weeks off like that is nowhere near
[1:11:52] enough time. So does he do a stagger where
[1:11:55] he's like OK Fede and like you guys, you don't come back till
[1:11:59] August 10th. You know, Arta and you other
[1:12:03] guys, you come back August 1 like this is again, this is the
[1:12:07] the downside. While the Club World Cup was
[1:12:09] great from when we got chubby to work on our high pressure
[1:12:12] environment, see what his his tactics look like.
[1:12:14] OK, yeah, yeah, yeah. All good.
[1:12:16] Every other tub team that did not qualify have been off since
[1:12:19] May whatever right. Like so they're going to have
[1:12:22] such a huge reserve to start the season.
[1:12:25] So don't be surprised Real Madrid fans if come out to start
[1:12:29] the blocks next year far as it starts out super red hot because
[1:12:33] they got tons of gas and everybody like and we're looking
[1:12:35] real sluggish till October, like just don't be surprised.
[1:12:41] Yeah. Yeah, I would agree with that.
[1:12:43] Yeah, it's been a lot. I wonder which player is going
[1:12:46] to pay that 1,000,000 to the other guys got.
[1:12:51] To be rude girl, since we got no money but you don't make no real
[1:12:54] money yet he makes more money than us but he don't make money
[1:13:00] compared to compared to other footballers.
[1:13:04] Should be fine. I think Trent, I wonder.
[1:13:08] Trent, yeah. Some Liverpool fans would
[1:13:11] probably be making fun of Trent, though.
[1:13:13] You know we did. They wanted to win.
[1:13:16] They wanted to win it, and so this is not the downside.
[1:13:18] OK, you didn't win and you have a shortened offseason.
[1:13:21] Good luck. All right, this, this is the
[1:13:23] other side of this. Could have thanked it.
[1:13:26] Could have been like, it could have been like athleti right?
[1:13:28] Just get get knocked out in the group stage.
[1:13:30] They just couldn't go through. Last thing that on the big list
[1:13:42] is really just same bye to Madrich.
[1:13:45] It's really a sad way to say bye to him.
[1:13:46] Bad. Way to his career to end so
[1:13:49] terrible man. At Madrid, yeah, and it's a
[1:13:53] shame, but I mean, honestly, we're we're going to really
[1:13:55] dedicate a whole episode or more to him and the future.
[1:13:58] So I I just wanted to say out of respect to him, we almost won't
[1:14:01] get into him too much. Just goodbye, Luca going to miss
[1:14:03] you. It's a shame.
[1:14:05] And you know, you got to process that separately from this game,
[1:14:08] almost. Yeah, of course he gets he gets
[1:14:11] his own separate look. One of the greatest midfielders
[1:14:15] players of all time, not of this generate of all time period.
[1:14:18] End of statement. A magician with the ball at his
[1:14:23] feet dragging that Croatia team to a World Cup final.
[1:14:29] The countless what he won 6 Champions Leagues with us.
[1:14:31] Like it just he is, he is Real Madrid through and through, man.
[1:14:36] Like this is that that 10 jersey.
[1:14:39] Wow, what a legacy, right? Like, and everybody's like Arta,
[1:14:42] the heir apparent's like, listen, those are big boots for
[1:14:46] Arta fill fucking huge, huge, almost insurmountable boots to
[1:14:51] fill, right, If we're being honest, right, if we're really
[1:14:54] being honest. But yeah, shout shouts to Luca.
[1:14:56] Man, one of the greats in a Real Madrid legend for sure.
[1:15:00] He's given us so much that it feels unbelievable and he's
[1:15:02] gone, you know? It does.
[1:15:05] It does and not see him. Anymore, I mean, we are.
[1:15:09] He's not, thank God he's not dead, but we're not going to see
[1:15:12] on Madrid. We're going to see him when AC
[1:15:15] Milan plays fucking Real Madrid in the in the fucking in the
[1:15:18] Champions League, the group stage, it's.
[1:15:20] Going to be pain. Can he ask who's playing?
[1:15:23] I know, don't play that game. We should organize a like
[1:15:28] legends game like we did for Raul when him and Ronaldo Swiss
[1:15:34] and you play the whole for us. He needed war 7 and Ronaldo went
[1:15:38] 11 about two thousand 2324 season.
[1:15:41] We should kind of do something like that for motorists too
[1:15:44] otherwise. But actually I forgot that we
[1:15:46] have scraped that trophy, what used to be called Santiago
[1:15:51] Bernabeu trophy, I think. Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's scrapped
[1:15:54] it. It's a preseason trophy.
[1:15:56] Ultimately, we just picked to theme to play against and that's
[1:15:59] it. We we won't be doing any
[1:16:01] preseason friendlies this year, I'll tell you that.
[1:16:04] Listen, I. I think the announcement is
[1:16:06] official. There is no preseason games.
[1:16:09] How can there be what? There's no time to do what like.
[1:16:14] Damn, a season without a preseason is going to be
[1:16:16] interesting, but rest of luck it's a tough.
[1:16:20] His last preseason was in 2022. Right.
[1:16:23] And and we get no and unlike PSG, we don't get to leave our
[1:16:27] guys home and let them order Uber Eats and have it like in
[1:16:30] season, baked in preseasons, baked into the season.
[1:16:33] PSG can kind of like they can bake in a vacation, a preseason,
[1:16:37] like mid season trip, whatever they need for all their guys.
[1:16:40] Like they probably got like it's like field trips all year for
[1:16:42] them when they're getting rotated every other week.
[1:16:44] They got something different to do.
[1:16:46] Grab some nice sliders too you. Know that's what that's what we
[1:16:50] need a. Little unlimited and they can
[1:16:53] just buy guys somehow and they do not find at all.
[1:16:57] No problem. Who cares that they have bought
[1:17:00] like 500 million worth of players in one summer?
[1:17:03] Nobody cares because the deals they fabricate too that are lies
[1:17:09] clearly with them in one city to wash up.
[1:17:11] Oh yeah, for sure with like with, with, with the spending.
[1:17:14] I'm like, how are you guys not in like illegal spending?
[1:17:17] Come on now, like that's I think you're spending way.
[1:17:20] More no funny subplot. Co is basically the Co who F at
[1:17:25] this point. Right, that's true.
[1:17:26] Right. So there's that.
[1:17:27] And what a funny subplot is, yeah, UFO hates this
[1:17:29] competition. And then what's his name?
[1:17:34] Like a Qatari team winning like their rivals with Saudi.
[1:17:37] So the Qatari team winning a tournament mostly sponsored by
[1:17:41] Saudi Arabia is probably not going to be they're they're not
[1:17:44] going to be too happy about it. And I, I know there's that
[1:17:47] little rivalry going there. And also just want to read out a
[1:17:50] couple more quotes. Thank you.
[1:17:52] This time. Shouts in the mirror.
[1:17:54] Re read that last one, he put. It's not a quote but about about
[1:17:57] Jaby. That's interesting and.
[1:17:58] So Jaby said, Jaby Alonzos, I'll just read the first one about,
[1:18:01] he said from their signings, we're always open to improving
[1:18:03] the squad. That's the idea to improve the
[1:18:05] team. I know it's difficult to say
[1:18:07] this now, but we're a better team now than when we started
[1:18:09] this competition, this game and this tournament taught us a lot
[1:18:12] of things about ourselves. We know what we need to do now.
[1:18:15] So that. And lastly, Nymerian says
[1:18:18] apparently Javi was shouting at him about the all game to track
[1:18:20] back and not sit there in one place.
[1:18:23] Well, I think, I think it'll work if that's the case.
[1:18:27] If it doesn't, that will just be disappointing.
[1:18:30] And it's, you know, and Bobby also delivered, all things
[1:18:33] considered. I hope to see better
[1:18:34] performances from him. I think ultimately starting him
[1:18:37] when he's had gastroenteritis or whatever.
[1:18:40] In a game like this, you're never going to get like the type
[1:18:44] of pressing performance you need against like Luis Enrique's PSG.
[1:18:47] So whatever, you forget about this one, you throw it in the
[1:18:50] garbage, you pretend it didn't happen, you try again.
[1:18:53] We are a better team than when we started.
[1:18:54] Yes for sure. And all these I know all the
[1:18:56] Premier League fans are maybe tuning in to Hatewatch, but
[1:18:59] we're going to cook you and refinish our signings Don't
[1:19:02] worry, we're coming. Arsenal, Liverpool, City y'all
[1:19:05] are fodder PS GS our rival now, y'all are just, you know, all
[1:19:07] are not even in the picture anymore.
[1:19:09] Just hope you know, but I'm just kidding, they are, they are.
[1:19:12] Arsenal Liverpool are a city. Y'all got to earn your way back
[1:19:15] in the picture for sure though. Enriquez.
[1:19:16] Enriquez is ahead of Pep right now with this.
[1:19:21] I guess. Yeah, listen it, it's.
[1:19:24] Things, I'm not gonna lie, it's like all of these big teams and
[1:19:27] I'll have to look at PSG like I. Know it is you know PSG is what
[1:19:32] it. Feels a bit wrong.
[1:19:33] Another line feels. So by Byron are close.
[1:19:35] We're with Musyawa healthy, Byron close.
[1:19:38] First of all. We just.
[1:19:40] Buyer, can we be honest? Buyer dominated that match and
[1:19:43] like they they showed this is how you shut down PSG.
[1:19:47] Arsenal also have shown us how to play PSG.
[1:19:49] You need to physically go after we.
[1:19:52] Had the that personnel again goes back.
[1:19:54] To. Defender right, Paul Mccano was
[1:19:57] shutting down those runs. I know said you don't like him,
[1:20:00] but he was genuinely doing it. You know he was pushing forward,
[1:20:03] winning the ball back, pushing his team.
[1:20:06] I mean we saw the bozo moments of there too I mean Manuel Noor
[1:20:11] pro. What are you doing So playing
[1:20:12] but it's just. Brian should have won that game
[1:20:17] if we're going on paper, right? The football isn't always under
[1:20:21] paper. But also Musiala Musiala's ankle
[1:20:24] turned in a way it never should. He broke his spibula.
[1:20:28] Like, I mean, he's dudes. He's he's going to be out for a
[1:20:30] little bit of time. I feel like if that didn't
[1:20:32] happen, there might have been a chance.
[1:20:33] I feel like that killed their momentum.
[1:20:34] For what it's worth. Probably.
[1:20:35] You think because I thought it was gonna but even on 2nd hall,
[1:20:39] Brian was just were all over them.
[1:20:41] It was like, yeah, but decision making with Serge Nabre playing
[1:20:46] on that central spot was just like, sometimes he had the run
[1:20:49] of Kane and he was going to Coleman and I'm like, bro, what
[1:20:52] were you doing? You have the run.
[1:20:55] But yeah, I don't know, maybe playing Byron would have been
[1:20:58] easy. Easier I think.
[1:21:02] I think they needed I just think they needed the total minutes
[1:21:04] like they needed Navreon late, like they needed their guys,
[1:21:07] whoever they brought on from the Seattle, they needed everyone to
[1:21:08] come on later. They just needed that energy and
[1:21:10] when slowly they dipped. Maybe PSG capitalized around
[1:21:13] that moment. I guess Noyer also made the
[1:21:14] mistake. But yeah, I just mean I don't
[1:21:16] think is your invincible though. I I I don't agree with that.
[1:21:19] I think Bayern and Arsenal are the two teams that compete with
[1:21:21] them very well head to head. I should think the team we don't
[1:21:26] like Barcelona probably match up decently.
[1:21:28] I know Loconte, you probably don't agree, but I don't think
[1:21:30] they match up poorly and I think like, you know, you'd think Slot
[1:21:35] figures something out after losing last year.
[1:21:37] You don't think Liverpool would lose the same way two years in a
[1:21:40] row to PSG? You know what those teams all
[1:21:42] have in common? Bayern and Barsa and Arsenal.
[1:21:45] They pressed annuity and continuity.
[1:21:47] And they pressed, well, right, continuity.
[1:21:48] They pressed well again, not allowing them to have all the
[1:21:53] space to continue to basically do figure eights back there and
[1:21:56] spin around like nobody's touching them.
[1:21:57] Like, well, of course they're going to fucking get out of
[1:21:59] easier build up. Yeah, I mean you.
[1:22:01] Say another thing here. Scored eight post bar so so
[1:22:04] yeah. Right.
[1:22:06] So Barcelona are the biggest. If there are, we know Arsenal,
[1:22:08] Bayern can compete. Arsenal.
[1:22:10] Bayern. Yeah, for sure.
[1:22:11] No. I hope, I hope slot like evolves
[1:22:15] and does something if they play. Yeah, I hope to.
[1:22:17] See. Let's see what that does.
[1:22:19] Versus I want to see that. I want to see that that would
[1:22:21] be. You know the odd man right now,
[1:22:25] including Pepe and what he's trying to do.
[1:22:27] Oh, by the way, for people trying to sell you like Pepe's
[1:22:30] using full bags as full bags. Wow, what a what?
[1:22:32] A what? A what an amazing what do?
[1:22:36] You think is odd about what PEP is trying to do right now.
[1:22:39] I don't think anything is odd, I just think that he had still
[1:22:42] hasn't figured out exactly how they want to play right.
[1:22:46] He's just more like. Do I want more dynamism with
[1:22:49] Shanky? Do I want like Marmouth and
[1:22:51] Holland out there? Do I want a bit more control
[1:22:55] with like Rodri and Ryan? Pepa's Pep is a mad scientist.
[1:22:58] He's, he's still in his lab tinkering like, all right, what
[1:23:01] if we did this like, he's just, he's still tinkering like.
[1:23:03] Yeah, and Rodri also like. I never count Pep out.
[1:23:08] I just never count him out since he gave up on that.
[1:23:11] I want to have 100% of the ball ideology and he's actually been
[1:23:15] more adaptable as a coach. I just can't ever count Peppa.
[1:23:19] But his his league. Wasn't one of the greatest
[1:23:21] before that, but that was like a big weakness of him.
[1:23:24] This is funny, right? It's just funny, his league
[1:23:27] points finishes have gone down since he did that overall, like
[1:23:30] a little bit. They haven't been.
[1:23:32] Has three points every week in the league.
[1:23:34] But you could also argue the Premier League is much harder
[1:23:36] maybe like it's not the league it was when he first joined.
[1:23:39] You could say the first half of when he was there and 2nd.
[1:23:41] Half crew this this crew that's there now they need recycling
[1:23:45] through right like which they which they've done right.
[1:23:47] They were kind of running on fumes towards the end there, so.
[1:23:50] It is a new team but with that being said, I don't think it's
[1:23:52] guaranteed they win the Premier League.
[1:23:54] I think Arsenal is. I think Arsenal are dangerous
[1:23:56] once they's good. Liverpool can repeat like, look,
[1:23:59] it's. Rodrigo, by the way, Arsenal,
[1:24:00] remember, like all you, for all fans, like if you rate Rodrigo,
[1:24:04] you're going to rate Arsenal this season.
[1:24:05] Wait, are all the are all the Rodrigo fans going to now leave
[1:24:10] Real Madrid and become Liverpool?
[1:24:11] I mean, Arsenal fans now is that, is that what's going to
[1:24:13] happen? Rodrigo as fans.
[1:24:15] Yes, he does. Clearly, yes, he is.
[1:24:17] Stands. You're that fan.
[1:24:20] Stands. But hey, Rodrigo, we love you.
[1:24:23] We we do love you. For me Rodrigo fans seem to be
[1:24:26] more like Vinnie haters and he's like glad they want to bring him
[1:24:30] in rather than I love Rodrigo type of thing.
[1:24:33] That could be true, too. So then, then the Vinnie haters
[1:24:37] will probably just be here all the time.
[1:24:39] Yeah, they're. Going to hit us all, yeah, but I
[1:24:40] hate as. Well, yeah, he's going to have
[1:24:42] always haters. He's.
[1:24:43] Just damn. So.
[1:24:44] So we're not going to lose. So we're not going to lose all
[1:24:47] the comments about Rodrigo, any of these.
[1:24:48] It's just going to get louder. It's going to get louder.
[1:24:50] Like, hey, look, look what we saw them on one.
[1:24:52] They're going. To start, I just want to say
[1:24:54] apologies to the guy that told me I don't know anything about
[1:24:56] when I said that Rodrigo doesn't really fit how Alonzo wants to
[1:24:59] play, you know, and he called me the R word.
[1:25:04] I'm not going to go further than that.
[1:25:06] And I. Was like, I mean, I think you, I
[1:25:09] mean, I think you've been born out to be correct.
[1:25:11] And that would look like, it's pretty obvious because if he
[1:25:14] fits what Jabi wanted, he would be playing.
[1:25:16] And he's not. So I mean, yeah.
[1:25:19] Maybe because Jabi's track record was all athletic
[1:25:23] attackers. Not not that I did much that
[1:25:25] right, but I was just looking at the attackers.
[1:25:28] Musa Diabi, Jeremy Finbong, Whatever Boniface words, it was
[1:25:35] all players that. You got to work.
[1:25:38] Or better athletic. Oh yeah, so lastly, I just want
[1:25:43] to, I'm just going to let's wrap it up here, but Nymerian has a
[1:25:45] funny comment just SEDAR talk about the Dembele Balandor being
[1:25:50] sealed and do a Golden Boy to remind Barcelona fans.
[1:25:55] Before we love it. Love it.
[1:25:57] I think the Dembele Balandor. Like I said, I didn't think it's
[1:25:59] the first ever Asterisk, Uber Eats, Balandor, whatever you
[1:26:04] want to call it. But like, I mean, hey, no, he's
[1:26:07] very good in the minutes he played.
[1:26:08] He works very hard. Phenomenal.
[1:26:09] He got a great. Season.
[1:26:10] Listen, listen, I'm just saying like, look at his 90s.
[1:26:13] I don't know how maybe I got to go through the mat.
[1:26:15] The Club World Cup added a few 90s.
[1:26:16] But like you play that much more than Vinnie.
[1:26:18] Like, why can't you give it to Vitania?
[1:26:20] You know, Like, why isn't Vitania winning the Bollendorf?
[1:26:23] If for the same reasons, right? Like right, The Nations League,
[1:26:28] the one that were decided on the pitch, as Yamal said, right.
[1:26:34] And I'm. Making the rules one, but
[1:26:36] actually if you gave it to Andre at this point, you can give it
[1:26:39] to anybody. Latinia.
[1:26:40] Her Mendez. Yeah, Latinia and Nuno Mendez.
[1:26:42] You know, you know, you know. Shouldn't win it.
[1:26:44] You. I would say Bruno Mendez.
[1:26:46] That would be a good thing, huh? Wait, who?
[1:26:50] Fabian Ruiz. Well, no, you didn't.
[1:26:54] No, because he was on Spain. You have to go to actually
[1:26:57] Bettina or who's the third? They have one more on Portugal,
[1:27:00] right? Is it Joao?
[1:27:03] Yeah. Yeah, Yeah.
[1:27:04] So one of those three and out of those, I think the highest
[1:27:07] minutes would probably be Bettina or Mendez.
[1:27:09] So those but duet for Golden Boy for sure.
[1:27:12] I mean, phenomenal. He's got to get it.
[1:27:15] He won title, he won titles. You know a lot of people are
[1:27:18] pointing to young models and yet one of the best seasons ever or
[1:27:21] something. Win rings then nine league.
[1:27:22] Goals 9. League goals 9.
[1:27:26] I'm like, look, I'm going to be honest, right?
[1:27:29] Yeah, I'm all extremely, extremely talented.
[1:27:32] You can't take 146 shots and have just nine of them in loving
[1:27:37] goal. I'm sorry, bro, but that's not
[1:27:38] my ball and door. Even if Dembella wasn't going to
[1:27:41] picture 146 shots, nine of them gone goal No, he's an attacker,
[1:27:49] right? If he was like a midfielder or
[1:27:53] something like that and he's giving me production all over,
[1:27:55] fair enough with nine goals here, maybe even over producing
[1:28:00] as you did. But if you're an attacker who's
[1:28:04] high usage like Yamal, nine goals is just not going to cut
[1:28:09] it for a ball. And or I don't think it should
[1:28:11] even cut it for at this rate or even the young like Golden Boy
[1:28:16] award, Right, Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:28:18] No. Who should win?
[1:28:19] That who should win the way you should win the the Golden Boy,
[1:28:24] not your mom. I mean Chinese league winner
[1:28:26] literally assist assistant. Trouble winner. 7 tuple
[1:28:32] technically. I mean I don't know which season
[1:28:34] the club will cup counts under but depends.
[1:28:36] On this this car it was that's it will be the set double.
[1:28:38] Yeah, wow. Yeah, the first ever.
[1:28:39] Yeah. Bettina for Balandor or Nuno
[1:28:41] Mendez for Balandor, That's the campaign.
[1:28:43] I mean, they're they're those two are one and two.
[1:28:45] And then Joanne Nevis is number 3, so.
[1:28:47] Yeah. Belly's 4th.
[1:28:49] Madrid fans, take heart man, It's OK.
[1:28:54] It was not the outcome we wanted and it not in the way it looked
[1:28:57] right, not in the process. It didn't look the way we like
[1:28:59] to look, but it's what it is. As Shabby said, the team is
[1:29:02] better when when it started the tournament.
[1:29:05] Brighter days ahead, signings are coming, there's going to be
[1:29:08] some more development with the guys we already have on the
[1:29:10] squad are going to get better and more comfortable in the
[1:29:12] system, right? Go as the kids say, go outside,
[1:29:15] touch grass, log off football Twitter for a while and just
[1:29:19] enjoy yourselves before you make yourself crazy over.
[1:29:22] Yeah, I saw, I saw Superman guys, and honestly, I was
[1:29:25] skeptical and it was good. So honestly, just want to just
[1:29:28] put it out there. It was good.
[1:29:29] Like I was really scared. I didn't like Guardians of the
[1:29:32] Galaxy. I wasn't a big James Gun fan or
[1:29:34] anything. And I was like, damn, like you
[1:29:37] made this like the whole thing topped the bottom.
[1:29:38] And I was like, why is the marketing so bad if this movie's
[1:29:41] good? So just want to, you know, for
[1:29:43] all the people who worked hard for that movie, got to be real.
[1:29:45] I enjoyed it thoroughly. And I'm going to F1 tonight.
[1:29:47] So go enjoy yourselves, folks. Do something else like Jerrod
[1:29:49] said, Yeah. Man and guys always think
[1:29:52] brighter. Angelotti could have been your
[1:29:54] coach in this tournament. True.
[1:29:57] Yeah, yeah. I mean, to be to be totally fair
[1:30:00] to to Angelotti, this was a very bad performance, like
[1:30:04] reminiscent of some we've seen last season from the team.
[1:30:07] But you know, it is what it is. Just just want to say, but yeah,
[1:30:13] now Miriam ask better than Henry Table Superman.
[1:30:15] I just want to say it's different, but that's all.
