[0:12] Speaker 2: in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data.
[0:16] Speaker 1: Right now, we want to have a conversation with Christina Aquino,
[0:19] Speaker 1: Bloomberg Managing Editor for MarketsLive, for some stocks on the
[0:23] Speaker 1: move today.
[0:23] Speaker 2: Christine, what are you looking at?
[0:25] Speaker 1: All right, Scarlett, let's start with Vertiv. Since we got
[0:28] Speaker 1: some results earlier, it was a beat and raise quarter
[0:31] Speaker 1: showing up in the share gains this morning, ticker VRT.
[0:35] Speaker 1: And those shares are up more than 12% at the moment. Again,
[0:38] Speaker 1: this is a power equipment company, but very much. benefiting
[0:41] Speaker 1: from the demand due to the data center build-out process.
[0:44] Speaker 1: So third quarter sales came in 15% stronger than analysts expected.
[0:48] Speaker 1: Organic orders also more than doubled, and then they raised
[0:51] Speaker 1: their net sales target to $ 14. 85 billion for this year. Now,
[0:55] Speaker 1: CEO Giordano Albertazzi also says, we are in the middle
[0:59] Speaker 1: of the largest infrastructure build-out, and it is accelerating. So
[1:03] Speaker 1: you know what? The AI trade, the data center build-out,
[1:05] Speaker 1: that's a trade that lifts all boats, including Vertiv today.
[1:08] Speaker 1: All right.
[1:09] Speaker 2: What else you got for us today?
[1:10] Speaker 1: Let's take a look at GE Healthcare, another stock in
[1:13] Speaker 1: the green this morning. The ticker is GEHC, and those
[1:16] Speaker 1: are up more than 7% right now. This is an
[1:19] Speaker 1: x-ray equipment maker. It's another beat and race set of
[1:22] Speaker 1: results that we're seeing today. Their adjusted EPS outlook is
[1:26] Speaker 1: now at $ 4. 95 to $ 5. 05. And they previously saw that
[1:31] Speaker 1: at $ 4. 80 to a range of $ 5. Now, Blooming Intelligence
[1:35] Speaker 1: is Matt Hendrickson also weighing in. They saw particularly strong
[1:39] Speaker 1: recovery in a patient care solutions unit. And they're looking
[1:43] Speaker 1: at potentially some upside for fourth quarter organic growth if
[1:47] Speaker 1: third quarter strong performance continues. So We'll see about that.
[1:51] Speaker 1: All right, next up, let's take a look at Boston Scientific.
[1:53] Speaker 1: That's a stock in the red this morning, ticker BSX.
[1:57] Speaker 1: And those shares are down about 6.5% as we speak.
[2:00] Speaker 1: We know that they lowered their sales outlook. And they're
[2:03] Speaker 1: also saying that fourth quarter sales expected to decline. And
[2:07] Speaker 1: this is after the cyber attack that they suffered in August.
[2:10] Speaker 1: That interrupted their global operations. And that was something they
[2:13] Speaker 1: flagged as something that would be detrimental to their results
[2:17] Speaker 1: for this particular quarter. We heard from their chief financial officer,
[2:20] Speaker 1: John Monson, saying that the year has been challenging for them.
[2:24] Speaker 1: And they've seen several years of growth in some aspects
[2:27] Speaker 1: of their cardiovascular business. But that cycle seems to be turning.
[2:32] Speaker 1: So we'll see if they manage to turn around. But
[2:34] Speaker 1: at the moment, those shares down very much in the
[2:37] Speaker 1: red as their investors digest those earnings.
