[0:23] Speaker 1: generation will declare your praise to another you reign eternally
[0:29] Speaker 1: unquestionably king Go ahead, give him thanks. Let this come
[0:34] Speaker 1: from the depth of your heart to our king, our maker,
[0:39] Speaker 1: the ruler over the nations. Father, we bless you. We
[0:43] Speaker 1: praise you. We thank you. Majesty, we bless you. We
[0:47] Speaker 1: bless you. Go ahead and thank him. Miraculous manifestations of
[1:02] Speaker 1: his hand. The doings of the Lord in the midst
[1:06] Speaker 1: of his people. Thank him in advance for that which
[1:10] Speaker 1: you'll be doing in your life tonight.
[1:15] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[1:19] Speaker 1: Praise the name of the Lord. I want you to
[1:23] Speaker 1: ask the Lord to give you a very definite visitation tonight. Father,
[1:28] Speaker 1: there are many people who have come gathered in your name,
[1:31] Speaker 1: but visit me this night. Go ahead and pray. Visit me.
[1:36] Speaker 1: Give me a visitation like you did Sarah. Give me
[1:40] Speaker 1: a visitation like you did Solomon. Give me a visitation
[1:45] Speaker 1: like you did Gideon. Give me a visitation like you
[1:48] Speaker 1: did Hannah. Give me a visitation like you did the
[1:52] Speaker 1: woman at the well. Give me a visitation like you
[1:55] Speaker 1: did Nicodemus. Give me a visitation like you did Paul.
[2:02] Speaker 1: I cry for a very definite visitation by your spirit.
[2:11] Speaker 1: Are you praying for everyone that ask it, receive it?
[2:22] Speaker 1: For in Jesus' mighty name we have prayed. Father, speak
[2:28] Speaker 1: to our hearts tonight. We have come to hear. We
[2:32] Speaker 1: have come to receive. We have come to be lifted,
[2:35] Speaker 1: to be elevated in the spirit. We have come to
[2:38] Speaker 1: be enlightened and to be empowered. We pray in the
[2:42] Speaker 1: name of Jesus that you will find by your spirit
[2:45] Speaker 1: unrestrained access in our midst. And we pray that you
[2:50] Speaker 1: will bless, you will heal, you will deliver, you will transform.
[2:54] Speaker 1: And to Jesus be all the glory. Amen and amen.
[2:58] Speaker 1: Can you greet one or two people? And then please
[3:00] Speaker 1: be seated. Tell them God bless you.
[3:04] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[3:10] Speaker 1: Amen and amen and amen and amen. I want to
[3:15] Speaker 1: appreciate everyone. for your commitment to learn. It is true
[3:21] Speaker 1: that without vision, the people perish. But it is equally
[3:25] Speaker 1: true that without people, the vision will not come to fruition.
[3:30] Speaker 1: Every God-ordained vision is God-dependent and it is also man-dependent. Hallelujah.
[3:39] Speaker 1: The Bible says the Lord gave the word, great was
[3:42] Speaker 1: the company of them that published it. Tonight is another
[3:48] Speaker 1: opportunity to be radically transformed by the power of his word.
[3:53] Speaker 1: I have taught you here that God's method has always
[3:57] Speaker 1: been by his word.
[3:59] Speaker 3: He lives by his word. He answers prayers by his word.
[4:05] Speaker 3: He exalts by his word. He promotes by his word.
[4:10] Speaker 1: So when the word of the Lord comes to you,
[4:13] Speaker 1: then you know that the coming of that word has come.
[4:16] Speaker 1: brought the beginning of a new season, perhaps the end
[4:20] Speaker 1: of another one. And this means that when the word
[4:23] Speaker 1: of God is about to come, you must pay rapt
[4:26] Speaker 1: attention so that Satan does not distract you and rob
[4:30] Speaker 1: you of your portion.
[4:32] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[4:34] Speaker 1: Praise the name of the Lord. I truly believe that
[4:38] Speaker 1: tonight's teaching will radically transform everyone. I have told you
[4:43] Speaker 1: here that I'm committed to seeing that week in, week out,
[4:47] Speaker 1: when you are gathered here in the name of the Lord,
[4:50] Speaker 1: that we receive wisdom, superior wisdom, illumination from God. We
[4:56] Speaker 1: learn the ways of the kingdom. We are prepared. We
[5:00] Speaker 1: grow in the spirit by light. And then we are
[5:03] Speaker 1: prepared to live victorious Christian lives. And let me remind
[5:09] Speaker 1: you again, like I've stated times without number, that the
[5:13] Speaker 1: end of the journey of the believer with God is glory.
[5:17] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[5:20] Speaker 1: That when you begin your walk with God, you must
[5:22] Speaker 1: have this at the back of your mind, that God's
[5:25] Speaker 1: intent for you is not just that you will serve him,
[5:29] Speaker 1: but that your life becomes a manifestation of the glory
[5:33] Speaker 1: of God. The end of the believer's life is If
[5:37] Speaker 1: you allow the Word of God to mold, to build,
[5:40] Speaker 1: to culture, to train you, if you submit to the
[5:43] Speaker 1: ministry of the Holy Spirit, it does not matter your
[5:46] Speaker 1: current level. And believe me when I say this, the
[5:49] Speaker 1: end of your life is the glory of God manifest,
[5:53] Speaker 1: the glory of God revealed. That means your coming here
[5:58] Speaker 1: week in, week out is your commitment towards this transformation project.
[6:04] Speaker 1: Your coming means that you are saying, I agree with you,
[6:07] Speaker 1: oh God, that you keep transiting me, you keep building
[6:11] Speaker 1: me until the glory of God is revealed in experience
[6:16] Speaker 1: through my life. May that be your encounter tonight.
[6:19] Speaker 4: Shout a believing amen.
[6:20] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[6:24] Speaker 1: And tonight's teaching is also a build up from last
[6:27] Speaker 1: week's teaching. I've been sharing with us keys to That
[6:31] Speaker 1: help us survive and thrive even within this end time.
[6:36] Speaker 1: The word speaking concerning the sons of Issachar. He said
[6:39] Speaker 1: there were men that had understanding of the times. And
[6:44] Speaker 1: they knew what Israel ought to do. It is terrible
[6:48] Speaker 1: to be ignorant. In ignorance as far as the ways
[6:52] Speaker 1: of God is concerned. So I want you to fasten
[6:56] Speaker 1: your seat belts tonight.
[6:57] Speaker 4: And please stand.
[6:58] Speaker 1: Lend me and lend your destiny a rapt attention. And
[7:02] Speaker 1: for those of us who are connecting from across the globe,
[7:05] Speaker 1: you will do well to invite your loved ones and
[7:07] Speaker 1: tell them you need to hear what apostle has to
[7:09] Speaker 1: say by the spirit. You need to sit down and
[7:13] Speaker 1: learn by the spirit of God and the Lord will
[7:15] Speaker 1: do us good in Jesus name. Lessons from an overcomer.
[7:22] Speaker 1: Lessons from an overcomer. I want to teach you destiny
[7:27] Speaker 1: defining principles today from the lens of scripture and from
[7:33] Speaker 1: the lens of those who have overcome. We're gleaning from
[7:38] Speaker 1: the pain of many today. We're gleaning from the tears
[7:41] Speaker 1: of many. We're gleaning from the experience of many. For
[7:45] Speaker 1: many of you, what you are hearing tonight will save
[7:47] Speaker 1: you the next 10, 20 years of your life. Believe me,
[7:51] Speaker 1: what you are hearing tonight perhaps will save you your lifetime.
[7:55] Speaker 1: And for many of you, you will redeem time and
[7:58] Speaker 1: gain mastery over destiny. You believe that? Shout it loud. Amen.
[8:04] Speaker 1: Lessons from an overcomer. Three scriptures. Revelations 2. Chapter 3
[8:17] Speaker 1: and verse 21. To him that overcometh. I will grant
[8:26] Speaker 1: to sit with me in my throne. Even as I
[8:30] Speaker 1: also overcame. And I am sat down with my father
[8:36] Speaker 1: in his throne. Not to everybody. To him that overcometh.
[8:42] Speaker 1: Scripture number 2. 2 Timothy chapter 3, we're reading 14
[8:47] Speaker 1: down to 17. Lessons from an overcomer. But continue thou
[8:55] Speaker 1: in the things which thou hast learned and hast been
[8:58] Speaker 1: assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned. 15. And
[9:04] Speaker 1: that from a child thou hast known the Holy Scripture.
[9:08] Speaker 4: Which is able to make thee wise.
[9:11] Speaker 1: Take note.
[9:12] Speaker 4: Unto salvation.
[9:14] Speaker 1: Through faith.
[9:15] Speaker 4: That is in Jesus Christ.
[9:16] Speaker 1: 16 now. It says all scripture. Is given by inspiration
[9:22] Speaker 1: of God. And is profitable. Take note of that expression.
[9:27] Speaker 1: Scripture is profitable. For doctrine. For reproof. For correction. For
[9:34] Speaker 1: instruction in righteousness.
[9:36] Speaker 4: To what end?
[9:37] Speaker 1: That the man of God may be mature, thoroughly furnished
[9:43] Speaker 1: unto all good works.
[9:46] Speaker 4: Are you ready for the third scripture?
[9:49] Speaker 1: Proverbs chapter 1, beginning from verse 1, reading to 5.
[9:55] Speaker 1: The Proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Egypt.
[10:01] Speaker 1: the intent of the book to know wisdom and instruction
[10:07] Speaker 1: to perceive the words of understanding verse 3 To receive
[10:14] Speaker 1: the instruction of wisdom, it says, justice and judgment and equity.
[10:21] Speaker 4: To give subtlety.
[10:22] Speaker 1: To the simple and to the young man, knowledge and discretion.
[10:28] Speaker 1: The final verse, it says, a wise man will hear
[10:32] Speaker 1: and increase learning. And a man of understanding shall attain
[10:38] Speaker 1: unto wise counsel. May the Lord grant us grace and
[10:41] Speaker 1: understanding in Jesus name. We live in a world where
[10:46] Speaker 1: we admire victorious people. We admire overcomers in sports, in music,
[10:53] Speaker 1: in the academia, in politics. Every time you see a
[10:58] Speaker 1: life and an individual who has succeeded, notably in any area,
[11:03] Speaker 1: usually they are worthy of our admiration. We have names
[11:07] Speaker 1: that we call them. For those of them who are
[11:09] Speaker 1: on social media in our social media age, we usually
[11:12] Speaker 1: would look for their pages and like and follow them religiously,
[11:18] Speaker 1: hoping to glean wisdom, hoping to be inspired. Generally speaking
[11:22] Speaker 1: in our world, success at any level inspires.
[11:26] Speaker 4: Success at any level.
[11:28] Speaker 1: Provokes people to want to replicate that result. Hallelujah. Someone
[11:34] Speaker 1: stands here and he says, I am a professor, say,
[11:36] Speaker 1: of medicine and surgery. A young aspiring doctor would usually
[11:40] Speaker 1: be inspired just by the sight of that individual. When
[11:44] Speaker 1: you see a general in the army, say a four-star general,
[11:48] Speaker 1: you know, very, very rare position. A young man who
[11:52] Speaker 1: is in the army will usually be inspired by that sight.
[11:56] Speaker 1: Our world celebrates overcomers. We call them all kinds of names.
[12:02] Speaker 1: Sometimes we call them celebrities. Sometimes we look for the
[12:05] Speaker 1: names that best, you know, fit our description of them.
[12:10] Speaker 1: It is a very wonderful thing to be an overcomer.
[12:12] Speaker 1: Let me give you the definition. To overcome means to confront,
[12:18] Speaker 1: to challenge, and to prevail over.
[12:22] Speaker 4: This is what it means to overcome.
[12:24] Speaker 1: To overcome means to confront, to challenge, and to prevail over.
[12:34] Speaker 1: To overcome also means to gain mastery of. You are
[12:39] Speaker 1: called an overcomer to the degree to which you are
[12:42] Speaker 1: able to confront, to challenge, and then to prevail over.
[12:49] Speaker 1: To overcome also means to gain mastery of. Hallelujah. Many
[12:58] Speaker 1: years ago, I used to listen a lot to this
[13:01] Speaker 1: genre of music called the music of the masters. I mean,
[13:05] Speaker 1: those guys just play all kinds of things and they
[13:08] Speaker 1: play as though they are not humans. They can play
[13:10] Speaker 1: the keyboard, they can play whatever, they use all kinds
[13:13] Speaker 1: of skill. I mean, they stretch your imagination beyond the borders.
[13:19] Speaker 1: They are called masters. They are overcomers. Spent years in
[13:23] Speaker 1: learning and they have gained mastery. Let's define classically who
[13:27] Speaker 1: an overcomer is. I've written it down here, and please write.
[13:31] Speaker 1: One who faces challenges, or one who faces challenges and
[13:40] Speaker 1: subdues or gains control over them. One who faces, oh,
[13:49] Speaker 1: my apologies, let me just structure my definition. One who faces, comma, challenges,
[13:56] Speaker 1: that's the appropriate expression, and subdues or gains control. One
[14:02] Speaker 1: who faces, comma, challenges and subdues or gains control either
[14:11] Speaker 1: over an enemy, a condition, or a situation.
[14:16] Speaker 4: I'll take it one more time.
[14:17] Speaker 1: An overcomer is one who faces, one who challenges, And
[14:24] Speaker 1: one who subdues or gains control over an enemy, over
[14:31] Speaker 1: a condition, over a situation.
[14:36] Speaker 4: This is known as an overcomer.
[14:39] Speaker 1: So the character of an overcomer is that you must
[14:42] Speaker 1: be confronted with situations where you have to face them
[14:47] Speaker 1: with courage and confidence. You have to challenge them with
[14:51] Speaker 1: audacity and then you subdue, you overcome, you gain mastery over.
[14:58] Speaker 4: May that be your testimony from tonight? In the name
[15:01] Speaker 4: of Jesus Christ.
[15:03] Speaker 1: Among the many things that makes masters professionals or overcomers
[15:09] Speaker 1: as we call it admirable are the many stories that
[15:13] Speaker 1: they have from their vantage position now.
[15:17] Speaker 4: Are we following now?
[15:18] Speaker 1: You will never have someone who has truly overcome, who
[15:22] Speaker 1: does not have a story or a lesson, something to
[15:26] Speaker 1: tell you about their journey. In fact, it is often
[15:30] Speaker 1: said that the secret of men is hidden in their stories.
[15:34] Speaker 1: Am I right on that? That when you are listening
[15:36] Speaker 1: to a great man, one who has achieved any kind
[15:39] Speaker 1: of feat or stride in life and destiny, usually in
[15:43] Speaker 1: the midst of the stories, the stories convey their pain,
[15:48] Speaker 1: they convey lessons, they convey all kinds of secrets that
[15:53] Speaker 1: if and when you understand, you are able to reproduce
[15:57] Speaker 1: their results. Among the many things, I repeat, that we
[16:02] Speaker 1: gain from overcomers, all victorious people, is not just the
[16:06] Speaker 1: results that they now enjoy. It is the lesson and
[16:09] Speaker 1: the stories, the gems that they have found on the way.
[16:13] Speaker 1: Can I tell you, some of these men to become overcomers,
[16:17] Speaker 1: they had to sustain scars and injuries. Some of these men,
[16:21] Speaker 1: for them to become overcomers, they made mistakes. Some of
[16:26] Speaker 1: them to become overcomers. They went through things that they
[16:29] Speaker 1: might not want you to go through again. It is
[16:32] Speaker 1: profitable to listen to an overcomer.
[16:35] Speaker 4: There is time redemption when you listen.
[16:38] Speaker 1: To an overcomer.
[16:39] Speaker 4: Capacity to redeem time.
[16:41] Speaker 1: Capacity to subsidize the price that you have to pay.
[16:46] Speaker 4: As far as destiny actualization is concerned. You are about
[16:50] Speaker 4: to learn.
[16:51] Speaker 1: A few destiny defining principles from the life of overcomers.
[16:57] Speaker 1: Overcomers in scripture. Overcome us in our world today. I
[17:02] Speaker 1: have been able to by the spirit of God. To
[17:04] Speaker 1: distill for you. Years and decades of pain. Years and
[17:09] Speaker 1: decades of blood. Years and decades of tears. From people
[17:14] Speaker 1: some of them dead. Some of them alive. Some of
[17:18] Speaker 1: them captured in scripture. To the end that God will
[17:21] Speaker 1: grant us the wisdom. That he will reveal to us
[17:24] Speaker 1: through these principles. The strategies that empower the saints. To survive.
[17:29] Speaker 4: And to thrive.
[17:31] Speaker 1: Are you ready? Lesson number one. The first lesson that
[17:36] Speaker 1: we learn from an overcomer is that ignorance is not
[17:41] Speaker 1: a demon. You do not solve the problem of ignorance
[17:47] Speaker 1: just by casting it out.
[17:49] Speaker 4: You go for knowledge.
[17:51] Speaker 1: Lesson number one from an overcomer.
[17:54] Speaker 4: Ignorance is not a demon.
[17:58] Speaker 1: The problem of ignorance is not solved by casting it away.
[18:01] Speaker 1: There are spirits that enhance an ignorant person's remaining in
[18:07] Speaker 1: that state. But essentially, the starting point for all men
[18:12] Speaker 1: is ignorance. All men start in ignorance by default. It
[18:17] Speaker 1: is not a negative condition until it is allowed to
[18:21] Speaker 1: prolong or be prolonged in your life. Are we together? Yes.
[18:26] Speaker 1: It is the remaining of ignorance that makes it a problem.
[18:29] Speaker 1: All men begin their journey in destiny in ignorance, including Jesus.
[18:37] Speaker 1: The spirit of God drove Jesus in Matthew chapter 4
[18:41] Speaker 1: to go and pray and to be tempted of the devil.
[18:44] Speaker 1: But it was not the spirit of God that drove
[18:46] Speaker 1: him at age 13 to go to the temple. As
[18:49] Speaker 1: an act of his will, he went to the temple.
[18:52] Speaker 4: And invested time.
[18:54] Speaker 1: Aware of his ignorance, he began to do something about it.
[18:57] Speaker 1: Jesus was not the only young man in his day.
[19:00] Speaker 1: But he was one of the few who dedicated themselves
[19:04] Speaker 1: to learn.
[19:06] Speaker 2: Ignorance.
[19:07] Speaker 4: Is not a demon.
[19:10] Speaker 1: There are many believers who want a short-term, fast-fix solution
[19:19] Speaker 1: to the issue of ignorance. And most church people, especially
[19:23] Speaker 1: in Africa, just believe that with one prophetic declaration, age-long
[19:29] Speaker 1: ignorance will suddenly evaporate out of your mind, leaving you
[19:33] Speaker 1: with superior wisdom. It does not happen like that. The
[19:37] Speaker 1: cure for ignorance is not just prayer. The cure for
[19:41] Speaker 1: ignorance is not just deliverance.
[19:44] Speaker 4: The cure for ignorance.
[19:45] Speaker 1: Is the discipline to stay with light until light drives
[19:50] Speaker 1: away darkness. Lessons from an overcomer.
[19:54] Speaker 4: Ignorance is not a.
[20:02] Speaker 1: Men and women of God in ministry, that includes family people,
[20:06] Speaker 1: that includes aspiring people in our world today, are left
[20:11] Speaker 1: at the mercy of their ignorance. They continue to fail
[20:15] Speaker 1: and to recycle pain perpetually. Bringing all kinds of flimsy
[20:19] Speaker 1: excuses and justifications. And many of them have invented all
[20:25] Speaker 1: kinds of imbalanced strategies to deal with the ignorance. First
[20:30] Speaker 1: and foremost, many will not even admit that they are
[20:33] Speaker 1: in ignorance. Can I tell you, a real miracle begins.
[20:38] Speaker 1: At the point where you are aware of your state
[20:41] Speaker 1: of ignorance. Even if you do not know the way
[20:43] Speaker 1: out yet. That you are aware that I am in
[20:47] Speaker 1: this state of ignorance. Already begins to put you in
[20:50] Speaker 1: a position of victory. For as long as you live.
[20:55] Speaker 1: I want you to learn and to know this. Ignorance
[20:58] Speaker 1: is not a demon. All men including the ones who
[21:03] Speaker 1: you call overcomers. Started from a standpoint of. Of ignorance.
[21:10] Speaker 1: Are we learning? 2 Timothy chapter 2.
[21:16] Speaker 4: From verse 15.
[21:18] Speaker 1: 2 Timothy chapter 2 and verse 15. It says study
[21:22] Speaker 1: to show yourself. Approved unto God.
[21:24] Speaker 4: Can you imagine?
[21:26] Speaker 1: That receiving an approval unto God. As far as destiny
[21:29] Speaker 1: actualization is concerned. Has a dimension of it. That only
[21:33] Speaker 1: study can bring. A workman that needed not to be ashamed.
[21:39] Speaker 1: Rightly dividing the word of truth. There is a relationship
[21:43] Speaker 1: between laziness and shame. The Bible says study to show
[21:47] Speaker 1: yourself approved. And that in doing that there will be
[21:50] Speaker 1: no need for shame. Proverbs chapter 1 please. From verse 20.
[21:57] Speaker 1: Please be patient as I read while you learn. Wisdom
[22:00] Speaker 1: cried without it says. She uttered her voice in the streets.
[22:05] Speaker 4: Next verse.
[22:06] Speaker 1: She cried in the chief place of concourse. And in
[22:10] Speaker 1: the openings of the gates. In the city she uttered
[22:13] Speaker 1: her voice. This is Proverbs now. How long ye simple.
[22:18] Speaker 1: The word simple there is the word ignorant. Will you
[22:21] Speaker 1: love ignorance or simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning.
[22:27] Speaker 1: And fools hate knowledge. Next verse. It says, turn you
[22:31] Speaker 1: at my reproof. Wisdom is speaking. Behold, I will pour
[22:34] Speaker 1: out my spirit upon you. I will make known my
[22:38] Speaker 1: words unto you. Uh-huh. Because I have called wisdom, knowledge,
[22:44] Speaker 1: and you have refused. I have stretched out my hand
[22:48] Speaker 1: and no man regarded me. But ye have set at
[22:53] Speaker 1: naught all my counsel and would none of my reproof.
[22:58] Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
[22:59] Speaker 1: I will also laugh at your calamities.
[23:02] Speaker 4: I will mock when fear cometh.
[23:04] Speaker 1: The consequences of ignorance. When your fear cometh as desolation.
[23:09] Speaker 1: And your destruction cometh as a whirlwind. When distress and
[23:14] Speaker 1: anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me.
[23:20] Speaker 1: But I will not answer. They shall seek me early,
[23:24] Speaker 1: but they will not find me. 29. It says, for
[23:28] Speaker 1: that they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear
[23:33] Speaker 1: of the Lord. Verse 30. They would none of my counsel.
[23:37] Speaker 1: They despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of
[23:43] Speaker 1: the fruit of their own way. And be filled with
[23:47] Speaker 1: their own devices.
[23:48] Speaker 4: Two more verses.
[23:50] Speaker 1: For the turning away of the simple or the ignorant
[23:53] Speaker 1: shall slay them. And the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 33.
[23:59] Speaker 1: But who so hackeneth unto me shall dwell safely. And
[24:04] Speaker 1: shall be quiet from the fear of evil. Ignorance. It's
[24:11] Speaker 1: not a demon. Ladies and gentlemen, please hear me. You
[24:16] Speaker 1: want to actualize destiny and you want to live a
[24:18] Speaker 1: victorious life. You must learn to take responsibility by the
[24:23] Speaker 1: spirit and to contend for high levels of spiritual illumination.
[24:30] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[24:31] Speaker 4: Another angle to.
[24:33] Speaker 1: This first point is that just because you are enlightened
[24:37] Speaker 1: in an area does not cover for the darkness in
[24:40] Speaker 1: another area. Every area must be uniquely pursued to get light.
[24:46] Speaker 1: You may have light in the area of healing, but
[24:49] Speaker 1: it will not bring you prosperity by default. All the
[24:52] Speaker 1: various dimensions of your life, you must pay attention to
[24:56] Speaker 1: every one of them and to pursue light. Hallelujah. Therein
[25:02] Speaker 1: lies the fallacy of short-term success. You can excel in
[25:08] Speaker 1: an area and usually results have a way of flattering
[25:12] Speaker 1: us because in the presence of results in an area,
[25:16] Speaker 1: it is difficult to admit that you are ignorant in
[25:19] Speaker 1: another area. After all, you have results. You may be
[25:22] Speaker 1: an excellent preacher, but you may be a bad leader.
[25:26] Speaker 1: Are we together now?
[25:27] Speaker 4: And because of.
[25:27] Speaker 1: The results that you get in preaching, it will bring
[25:30] Speaker 1: you to a point where it will be difficult to
[25:33] Speaker 1: admit that you need to have leadership built in you.
[25:37] Speaker 1: Because you judge by the sincerity of your priesthood and
[25:41] Speaker 1: you will automatically assume that because I preach and people
[25:45] Speaker 1: are blessed. it then means that I'm an exceptional leader.
[25:49] Speaker 1: You can be a responsible father in terms of your
[25:53] Speaker 1: willingness to help your children, but ignorant of the principles
[25:57] Speaker 1: that make you a father indeed.
[26:00] Speaker 4: Hallelujah.
[26:02] Speaker 1: Dimensional success is dangerous because.
[26:04] Speaker 4: You will excel in one area and.
[26:07] Speaker 1: Believe that just because of the excellence in that area,
[26:10] Speaker 1: there is no need for improvement or development in any
[26:14] Speaker 1: other area. Hallelujah. I'm reminded of 1 Corinthians chapter 8
[26:20] Speaker 1: and verse 2. Very profound scripture. The Bible says, and
[26:24] Speaker 1: if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth
[26:28] Speaker 1: nothing yet as he ought to know.
[26:31] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[26:34] Speaker 4: It is important for us to know.
[26:36] Speaker 1: That for you to excel in life, you must come
[26:40] Speaker 1: to terms with the fact that getting light, light that
[26:44] Speaker 1: empowers the knowledge, the information that you need to rise
[26:48] Speaker 1: and thrive.
[26:49] Speaker 4: You will not be spoon-fed with it.
[26:51] Speaker 1: You have to challenge yourself and rise to the occasion.
[26:55] Speaker 1: It will take a long time for you to have knowledge. Listen,
[27:00] Speaker 1: it took one day for the Holy Spirit.
[27:02] Speaker 4: To come upon the apostles.
[27:04] Speaker 1: But it did not take one day for them to
[27:06] Speaker 1: be transformed, to be prepared for that impartation. The ratio
[27:10] Speaker 1: of impartation to transformation was three and a half years
[27:14] Speaker 1: to one day. There was one day of Pentecost, but
[27:18] Speaker 1: there was no one day of lecture. Many years of lecture.
[27:22] Speaker 1: Jesus teaching them, helping them, allowing them to ask questions.
[27:26] Speaker 1: When they were now prepared, I have taught you here, Koinonia, that.
[27:30] Speaker 4: The value of the anointing.
[27:32] Speaker 1: Is that it comes upon a vessel that is enlightened
[27:36] Speaker 1: and transformed. When you try to bring impartation upon a
[27:40] Speaker 1: life and a vessel that rejects enlightenment and rejects transformation,
[27:45] Speaker 1: you only wasted that impartation. It will have no profit.
[27:52] Speaker 1: Ignorance is not a demon. This finance thing, why is
[27:58] Speaker 1: it not working? The devil must be attacking me. I
[28:01] Speaker 1: told you that spirits are opportunists. They have found a
[28:04] Speaker 1: loophole in your understanding and built a stronghold around it.
[28:09] Speaker 1: I can tell you no spirit is as powerful as
[28:11] Speaker 1: they look. It is the gap, the space that our
[28:14] Speaker 1: ignorance has provided in their life. For as long as
[28:17] Speaker 1: the demons find the vessel swept but empty... They will
[28:23] Speaker 1: always call their kind and make the present stage to
[28:26] Speaker 1: be worse than the first. When I found this, I
[28:29] Speaker 1: made up my mind that anything that does not work
[28:32] Speaker 1: in my life, I will not blame anybody. I will
[28:35] Speaker 1: take responsibility by God and I will sit down. Remember
[28:39] Speaker 1: my teaching last week? The first lesson we learned from overcomers.
[28:46] Speaker 1: Is that there are people who take the responsibility to
[28:50] Speaker 1: contend for light. How do you know light has come?
[28:54] Speaker 1: By the absence of darkness. If darkness is still there,
[28:57] Speaker 1: you do not have light enough. The ultimate test for
[29:03] Speaker 1: the presence of light is the absence of darkness. Write
[29:07] Speaker 1: it down please. The ultimate test for the presence of
[29:11] Speaker 1: light is the absence, the dispelling of darkness. Many believers
[29:23] Speaker 1: are plagued with the cancer of ignorance. Ignorance about the
[29:31] Speaker 1: ways of the kingdom. Ignorance about the laws of the cosmos.
[29:36] Speaker 1: I hope you know that this universe was not designed
[29:39] Speaker 1: by an intellectual. God to just be run with blind ideas.
[29:45] Speaker 1: There are exact laws, spiritual laws, but there are exact
[29:49] Speaker 1: natural laws. There are laws. You find these laws scattered
[29:53] Speaker 1: in biology. You find these laws scattered in agriculture. You
[29:57] Speaker 1: find these laws scattered in engineering. All those today we
[30:01] Speaker 1: call scientists are men who have stumbled across the laws
[30:05] Speaker 1: that God created to govern the activities of the cosmos.
[30:09] Speaker 1: There are laws that control the realm of the spirit,
[30:12] Speaker 1: but there are laws that control the earth. For instance,
[30:16] Speaker 1: while the earth remaineth, it's not a spiritual law alone.
[30:19] Speaker 1: It is a law that applies to all men. Now,
[30:22] Speaker 1: there are certain principles that only apply to believers, but
[30:26] Speaker 1: there are principles that apply to all men.
[30:29] Speaker 4: They are the laws of the universe.
[30:31] Speaker 1: My question is, how many of them do you not know?
[30:35] Speaker 1: And how many of them are you currently a victim of?
[30:41] Speaker 1: Lessons from an overcomer. ignorance is not a demon. That
[30:46] Speaker 1: means everybody has a chance. To as quick as your
[30:51] Speaker 1: passion can afford you. Get out of a realm of ignorance.
[30:55] Speaker 1: You must take responsibility. And say in the name of Jesus.
[30:59] Speaker 1: I am tired of wallowing around this ignorance. You came
[31:03] Speaker 1: from a family where no one has risen. No glory.
[31:06] Speaker 1: No beauty. I can tell you. For as long as
[31:09] Speaker 1: you keep blaming people. And hoping like we say in Nigeria.
[31:12] Speaker 1: One day it will go better. That is just a
[31:16] Speaker 1: wise saying that does.
[31:17] Speaker 4: Not have any biblical basis. It will not work.
[31:21] Speaker 1: Time does not change things.
[31:23] Speaker 4: Time only reveals.
[31:29] Speaker 1: Ignorance is not a demon. The day you begin to
[31:32] Speaker 1: take responsibility... Over your life and over your destiny.
[31:37] Speaker 4: Obtaining.
[31:37] Speaker 1: Grace and assistance from the spirit... And you go through
[31:41] Speaker 1: the labor of contending for light... You are now subscribing
[31:46] Speaker 1: for your exit... Out of your realm of shame, out
[31:50] Speaker 1: of your realm of mediocrity, out of the realm where
[31:53] Speaker 1: nothing seems to be working. Behind everything that works is light.
[31:58] Speaker 1: Light is the battery that powers everything that works. Behind
[32:04] Speaker 1: every great business is an information that the owner of
[32:09] Speaker 1: that business knows.
[32:10] Speaker 4: Behind every great ministry.
[32:12] Speaker 1: I tell you sincerely, there are secrets. Men rise and
[32:16] Speaker 1: they stand upon the abundance of the secrets, the mysteries
[32:20] Speaker 1: and the principles that they have found. There are laws
[32:25] Speaker 1: that govern the anointing. There are laws that govern leadership.
[32:30] Speaker 1: There are laws that govern influence. There are laws that
[32:33] Speaker 1: govern abundance. There are laws that govern relationships. There are
[32:37] Speaker 1: laws that govern restoration. Are we together? There are laws
[32:42] Speaker 1: that govern longevity. It is your assignment under God. To
[32:47] Speaker 1: find this loss by the spirit. Can I tell you?
[32:51] Speaker 1: And I say this with every sense of humility. Happier
[32:54] Speaker 1: you when God plants you under a man of God
[32:57] Speaker 1: who by sacrifice has distilled this loss and brings it
[33:01] Speaker 1: cheaply for you. That is a real, he has brought,
[33:05] Speaker 1: he has subsidized the price.
[33:08] Speaker 4: That you have to pay.
[33:10] Speaker 1: This is the blessing you get when you come to
[33:12] Speaker 1: the house of God. That people have paid the price
[33:15] Speaker 1: by the spirit and through the sacrifice of alignment, the
[33:19] Speaker 1: labor of mentorship, the sacrifice of adaptation to get these
[33:24] Speaker 1: truths together. Distill them and to communicate them with grace.
[33:29] Speaker 1: Lessons from an overcomer. There is no overcomer who sits
[33:34] Speaker 1: on the throne of glory in ignorance. There is a
[33:37] Speaker 1: realm where ignorance is not permitted. The gate will not open.
[33:42] Speaker 1: Did you hear what I said? There is a realm
[33:44] Speaker 1: where ignorance is not permitted. Even the worst of men
[33:48] Speaker 1: in that realm is still sufficiently ignorant or sufficiently knowledgeable.
[33:54] Speaker 1: There is a realm where ignorance cannot pass beyond. It
[34:01] Speaker 1: is up to you to make up your mind right now,
[34:03] Speaker 1: listening to me here and across.
[34:05] Speaker 4: The globe, whether you are ready to remain.
[34:07] Speaker 1: Did you know that regardless the prophetic word that comes
[34:10] Speaker 1: year after year, regardless what resolutions you make year after year,
[34:15] Speaker 1: in ignorance, your lot is already defined. In ignorance, I
[34:21] Speaker 1: don't need to be a prophet. To reveal what your
[34:25] Speaker 1: tomorrow will be.
[34:26] Speaker 4: Just show me the.
[34:27] Speaker 1: Abundance of ignorance you have decided to keep. And with
[34:31] Speaker 1: the precision of an artist, I can paint your tomorrow.
[34:35] Speaker 4: Not by word of knowledge.
[34:40] Speaker 1: There are many people who their 10 years will look
[34:42] Speaker 1: like today. In fact, worse than today. It is not
[34:46] Speaker 1: prophesying doom. It is that the level of emotional attachment they.
[34:51] Speaker 4: Have to ignorance will not allow them rise.
[34:55] Speaker 1: They are so attached to ignorance, they dread the discipline
[35:00] Speaker 1: of knowledge.
[35:04] Speaker 4: Are we learning?
[35:06] Speaker 1: Koinonia is quiet. Amen. You came to church. When I
[35:15] Speaker 1: find out you are quiet, we will sing. I will
[35:17] Speaker 1: get your spirit up and continue what I'm doing. Amen.
[35:22] Speaker 1: Is someone learning? So imagine with me that there are
[35:26] Speaker 1: two seats here on stage. One seat is for you.
[35:29] Speaker 1: You are now seated there. And the other seat is
[35:33] Speaker 1: occupied by a very old ancient man who is talking
[35:38] Speaker 1: to you, giving you an opportunity to learn. This is
[35:41] Speaker 1: what is happening to you today. The name of that
[35:43] Speaker 1: man who is seated there is an overcomer. Whether you
[35:47] Speaker 1: call him Jesus. Whether you call him Paul. Whether you
[35:51] Speaker 1: call him Abraham. Whether you call him whatever it is.
[35:55] Speaker 1: There is one name that binds them all. They are overcomers.
[35:59] Speaker 1: And they are letting us into their lives and into
[36:02] Speaker 1: their scars.
[36:03] Speaker 4: And the first lesson that they are.
[36:05] Speaker 1: Teaching us tonight. Is that ignorance is not a demon.
[36:09] Speaker 1: It does not respond to sentiments. It does not respond
[36:13] Speaker 1: to all kinds of prejudices. You must be willing and
[36:18] Speaker 1: ready to contend for light. High level spiritual illumination is
[36:24] Speaker 1: what cures darkness from your life. Lesson number two. Are
[36:31] Speaker 1: we learning? What is the second lesson that we learned
[36:35] Speaker 1: tonight from an overcomer? You cannot have consistent results until
[36:41] Speaker 1: your desires and expectations are defined. You cannot have consistent
[36:49] Speaker 1: results until your desires and expectations are defined. You cannot
[36:58] Speaker 1: have consistent results until your desires... And your expectations are defined.
[37:08] Speaker 1: Please underline the word defined. Luke chapter 18 please. From
[37:15] Speaker 1: verse 39 to 41. My goodness.
[37:18] Speaker 4: Someone is being radically transformed.
[37:22] Speaker 1: And they which went before rebuked him that he should.
[37:25] Speaker 4: Hold his peace.
[37:27] Speaker 1: But he cried the more that he been blind by Timmyo.
[37:31] Speaker 1: Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
[37:33] Speaker 4: 40. And Jesus stood.
[37:36] Speaker 1: And commanded him to be brought unto him.
[37:38] Speaker 4: Watch this.
[37:39] Speaker 1: And when he was come near, Jesus, your Jesus, the overcomer,
[37:46] Speaker 1: asked the man a question. What will thou that I
[37:50] Speaker 1: should do for you? I am a compendium of limitless possibilities.
[37:56] Speaker 1: But then my response to you will be at the
[37:59] Speaker 1: instance of your defining what your desire is. The man
[38:04] Speaker 1: said that I may receive my sight. The man would
[38:07] Speaker 1: have said that you help to talk to the king
[38:10] Speaker 1: for me. That they should be giving me alms every day.
[38:14] Speaker 1: Just because you see someone in a state does not
[38:17] Speaker 1: mean they are willing to come out of it. Giving
[38:20] Speaker 1: definition to your desires will coordinate the power of God
[38:24] Speaker 1: to meet you at the point of your need. Lesson
[38:28] Speaker 1: number two. You cannot have consistent results until your desires
[38:34] Speaker 1: and expectations are defined. Mark 11 24. My goodness. Please
[38:40] Speaker 1: pay attention to what you are learning now. Therefore I
[38:43] Speaker 1: say unto you. What things so ever ye desire. What
[38:50] Speaker 1: things so ever ye desire. When you pray on those things.
[38:56] Speaker 1: Specific things. Believe that you receive as them. And thou
[39:01] Speaker 1: shalt have them. I will tell you why many people
[39:04] Speaker 1: never become successful. I will tell you why many people
[39:08] Speaker 1: never actualize great things in life. They have no definition
[39:12] Speaker 1: over their desires. They have vague ideas. You ask an
[39:17] Speaker 1: average person, what do you want God to do for you?
[39:19] Speaker 1: They will say things like, maybe general goodness just to
[39:23] Speaker 1: show up for me.
[39:24] Speaker 4: Or you ask them, what is wrong with you?
[39:26] Speaker 1: The first assignment of every doctor is not treatment. is
[39:30] Speaker 1: to diagnose what the problem is. And diagnosis can take
[39:34] Speaker 1: a long time. Am I right on that?
[39:36] Speaker 2: Yes.
[39:37] Speaker 1: They will need to send you to run a test
[39:39] Speaker 1: and the result can show multiple possibilities. Then they subject
[39:43] Speaker 1: you to a more intricate test. The joy of the
[39:47] Speaker 1: doctor is that he finally zooms down. People begin to
[39:50] Speaker 1: rejoice over diagnosis, not just treatments. They are finally happy
[39:55] Speaker 1: that we've known the name. The moment it has a name,
[40:00] Speaker 1: your chances are high that you will be healed and
[40:03] Speaker 1: you will survive when that sickness has a name. You
[40:06] Speaker 1: ask any medical practitioner, the worst state any doctor can
[40:10] Speaker 1: be in is trying to treat a patient whose condition
[40:13] Speaker 1: has no definition.
[40:17] Speaker 4: That is true for medicine.
[40:19] Speaker 1: It is also true for your life. What kind of
[40:21] Speaker 1: believer do you want to become? I just want to
[40:24] Speaker 1: love God. That is vague. I just want to be great.
[40:27] Speaker 1: That is vague. I hate poverty. That is still vague.
[40:32] Speaker 1: I want to be rich. That is vague. I want
[40:34] Speaker 1: to be a big man. Very vague. Ignorantly vague. Because
[40:39] Speaker 1: a big man is a statement that was not even
[40:43] Speaker 1: introduced by big men. Hallelujah. Are we together? You cannot
[40:52] Speaker 1: have consistent results until your desires and expectations are defined.
[40:59] Speaker 1: Giving definition to your desires is a miracle.
[41:03] Speaker 4: I can tell you this.
[41:05] Speaker 1: It is in this area that both religion and science
[41:08] Speaker 1: and psychology, they come together. They all agree that your
[41:12] Speaker 1: life will revolve greater when there is definition to your expectations.
[41:17] Speaker 4: What do you desire? That I may receive my sight.
[41:21] Speaker 1: When your desires are defined, you will know when the
[41:24] Speaker 1: goals have been achieved. Hallelujah. Lord bring increase. Lord bring increase.
[41:38] Speaker 1: What does that mean? How do you know your prayer
[41:40] Speaker 1: has been answered? Lord take away shame from my life.
[41:44] Speaker 1: By what definition will you know shame has left? How
[41:47] Speaker 1: do you know God has answered you? And how do
[41:50] Speaker 1: you know the devil is stopping the prayer? Lord let
[41:54] Speaker 1: my destiny helper send for me. That is wonderful. But
[41:57] Speaker 1: what is the definition? Now we pray generally. And you
[42:00] Speaker 1: hear me prophesy generally. But when it has to do
[42:04] Speaker 1: with the life of a victorious one. An overcomer.
[42:08] Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen.
[42:09] Speaker 1: There needs to be definition in your life. Most believers
[42:14] Speaker 1: want to succeed, but they are totally at a loss
[42:18] Speaker 1: as to what success is and the indices that they
[42:21] Speaker 1: will use to measure success. I have helped you in
[42:24] Speaker 1: this house and I will help you again that when
[42:26] Speaker 1: you talk about success, there are about seven areas that
[42:30] Speaker 1: if you do not excel in, you are not successful.
[42:33] Speaker 1: Can I do a one minute recap for you? Number one,
[42:36] Speaker 1: very quickly, please write it down. We're still on point two.
[42:40] Speaker 1: Number one, your spiritual growth. The first area that you
[42:45] Speaker 1: measure success in, you want to make progress, you want
[42:48] Speaker 1: to advance. Number one is your spiritual growth. Number two,
[42:53] Speaker 1: mental transformation. You are successful to the degree to which
[42:57] Speaker 1: you now adopt superior belief systems that translate towards a
[43:02] Speaker 1: winning and a victorious life. I refer you to my message,
[43:06] Speaker 1: the victor's mentality. The mentality of a victor. The second
[43:14] Speaker 1: area that we measure success is in the area of
[43:16] Speaker 1: your mental transformation. There is nothing called a billionaire madman.
[43:21] Speaker 2: No.
[43:22] Speaker 1: You give a madman one billion, you did not help him.
[43:24] Speaker 1: He's not even aware because he's not in a mental
[43:27] Speaker 1: state that is fine and healthy.
[43:29] Speaker 4: Number three.
[43:31] Speaker 1: The third area to measure success is in the area
[43:34] Speaker 1: of purpose and of course you can call it your ambition,
[43:37] Speaker 1: your career, whatever it is. Purpose and your ambition. That
[43:44] Speaker 1: which you desire to do as far as life and
[43:47] Speaker 1: destiny is concerned. Can I continue? The fourth area to
[43:51] Speaker 1: measure success.
[43:53] Speaker 4: Is your health and wellness. You are only.
[43:56] Speaker 1: Successful in the kingdom to the degree to which you
[43:59] Speaker 1: are healthy and you are well. Your physical agility and
[44:03] Speaker 1: your wellness is a very, very potent index for measuring success.
[44:10] Speaker 1: I'm teaching you this so that when you say, Lord,
[44:12] Speaker 1: I desire to be successful, you understand the areas. Are
[44:16] Speaker 1: you seeing that now? Your mind can cooperate with your
[44:19] Speaker 1: prayer so that you can get answers and you will
[44:22] Speaker 1: know God has answered you. Your spiritual growth and advancement,
[44:28] Speaker 1: mental transformation, purpose and destiny.
[44:32] Speaker 4: Health and wellness.
[44:33] Speaker 1: Number five, your financial well-being. Usually this is where most
[44:38] Speaker 1: people zoom down to. When they are talking about success,
[44:41] Speaker 1: they are really talking about money. Financial well-being. It is
[44:47] Speaker 1: true that in all your being successful, if you lag
[44:49] Speaker 1: in this area, you are not wholesomely, you are not
[44:53] Speaker 1: entirely successful.
[44:55] Speaker 4: Number six, relationships.
[44:58] Speaker 1: The sixth area that measures and defines your.
[45:01] Speaker 4: Being successful is the quality of.
[45:04] Speaker 1: The relationships that you have and you enjoy in your life.
[45:07] Speaker 1: You are as secured from an earth standpoint as the
[45:11] Speaker 1: relationships that you have. Let me repeat myself again. From
[45:14] Speaker 1: an earth standpoint, you are as secured as the relationships
[45:18] Speaker 1: that you have. Number seven. The seventh area that measures
[45:26] Speaker 1: success generally is Is fulfillment. Fulfillment and meaning.
[45:32] Speaker 5: Meaning.
[45:33] Speaker 1: M-E-A-N-I-N-G. Meaning. The area of fulfillment and meaning. That you
[45:42] Speaker 1: want to ensure that your life counts. You want to
[45:45] Speaker 1: be satisfied knowing that you are serving God. And that
[45:48] Speaker 1: you are becoming a blessing to humanity. You cannot have
[45:53] Speaker 1: consistent results until your desires and expectations are defined. Watch this.
[46:00] Speaker 4: If you have your roof leaking in your house, do you.
[46:04] Speaker 1: Know sometimes the leakage can start from one point?
[46:07] Speaker 4: Or let me use a plumbing issue.
[46:09] Speaker 1: Let's say you have, you know, a leakage from your pipe.
[46:13] Speaker 4: The water can.
[46:13] Speaker 1: Flow, say, from your living room or from the toilet,
[46:17] Speaker 1: the bathroom, and then it flows down to the bedroom.
[46:20] Speaker 1: It may even flow to other areas in, you know,
[46:23] Speaker 1: maybe even to your living room. But when you are
[46:25] Speaker 1: solving the problem, it's not where the water is. You
[46:28] Speaker 1: have to go back and find out where is the
[46:31] Speaker 1: point from which that leakage started. Is the longevity of
[46:35] Speaker 1: that leakage that caused that damage to even reach your
[46:38] Speaker 1: living room? Do you understand what I'm teaching you? So
[46:40] Speaker 1: you have to go past the living room. and then
[46:43] Speaker 1: you finally, you get to the point where you say, ah,
[46:46] Speaker 1: so it's from maybe the toilet or the sink, and.
[46:49] Speaker 4: Then you start to fix it there.
[46:51] Speaker 1: When you fix that one, you can clean up the
[46:53] Speaker 1: water that is there, and you know you have done
[46:55] Speaker 1: a good job. But when you leave the part that
[46:58] Speaker 1: is still leaking, and try to mop up the water
[47:01] Speaker 1: in the living room, you only wasted your time.
[47:03] Speaker 4: Am I right on that?
[47:04] Speaker 1: There are many, many people who are just trying to
[47:07] Speaker 1: mop up problems, bringing temporal solutions. They have not yet
[47:11] Speaker 1: brought down definition to their desires there are believers who
[47:17] Speaker 1: want empowerment from god but they do not have a
[47:20] Speaker 1: clear definition we think in pictures that is the reason
[47:26] Speaker 1: why you hear a lot of people will tell you
[47:28] Speaker 1: that they have images that represent their future images now
[47:33] Speaker 1: when that is done within the limit of scripture that
[47:35] Speaker 1: is fine are we together Now you understand why the
[47:40] Speaker 1: Lord granted me that instruction to get the map of Abuja,
[47:46] Speaker 1: get the map of Nigeria, get the map of Africa,
[47:49] Speaker 1: and get the map of the globe.
[47:51] Speaker 4: Why will God ask me to do that?
[47:53] Speaker 1: I'm in a season of intense prayer, praying for the
[47:56] Speaker 1: next level of Koinonia. And God does not even start
[47:59] Speaker 1: revealing to me where we will be meeting.
[48:01] Speaker 4: He just says, you go and get the map.
[48:04] Speaker 1: No wonder he told Abraham, he said, come out, count
[48:07] Speaker 1: the stars. I want, you are asking me to bless you,
[48:10] Speaker 1: but there is vagueness.
[48:11] Speaker 4: There is no definition.
[48:13] Speaker 1: I need to help your imagination so that I can
[48:15] Speaker 1: release for you. So you can understand what I have
[48:18] Speaker 1: in store. He said, count the stars. And he began
[48:21] Speaker 1: to count and he was lost. And he said, so
[48:23] Speaker 1: shall thy seed be. Finally, verse six, Abraham believed God
[48:29] Speaker 1: and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
[48:34] Speaker 4: There are things God wants to do.
[48:36] Speaker 1: This is why my dear people believe in the power
[48:40] Speaker 1: of dreams and visions. It is God's way of helping
[48:44] Speaker 1: to prepare your mind. You see, when you have seen
[48:47] Speaker 1: something and you've held it in your imagination, it becomes
[48:50] Speaker 1: difficult for the devil to steal it from you. So
[48:53] Speaker 1: a young lady who just comes from Koinonia receives a
[48:56] Speaker 1: prophetic word from a poor and a mediocre family. She
[49:00] Speaker 1: goes back home. And here's the spirit of grace. You
[49:04] Speaker 1: sit down and you see yourself standing in a place,
[49:07] Speaker 1: in a crusade ground, ministering for instance, or running an NGO,
[49:12] Speaker 1: a multinational NGO, blessing people.
[49:15] Speaker 4: And you wake up.
[49:17] Speaker 1: I'm still in that room. I'm still on the ground.
[49:19] Speaker 1: You are not there. You've left that place. It's just
[49:22] Speaker 1: that you are not aware. You don't know the power. Listen,
[49:26] Speaker 1: I'm not just playing with your mind.
[49:29] Speaker 2: No!
[49:30] Speaker 1: That you were able to receive that, you are not
[49:32] Speaker 1: in that condition again. I'm telling you this. It's just
[49:37] Speaker 1: that it will take time for your body to get
[49:40] Speaker 1: where your mind has gotten to. But I can tell
[49:42] Speaker 1: you at that instant that you received it the moment
[49:46] Speaker 1: Mary said, Be it unto me according to your word.
[49:50] Speaker 4: She became pregnant.
[49:55] Speaker 1: Hallelujah. Those consultants who teach people how to plan. They
[50:04] Speaker 1: usually teach people, for instance, in the area of finances.
[50:07] Speaker 1: When they want to help you, they will say, go
[50:09] Speaker 1: and calculate. How much does it take to run your
[50:12] Speaker 1: family per week? And you will see the person who
[50:14] Speaker 1: is praying and crying.
[50:15] Speaker 4: And shouting saying, I don't know.
[50:17] Speaker 1: How much is your chance? The last time I know,
[50:20] Speaker 1: I think it's around 70 or 80, around that. You
[50:23] Speaker 1: cannot rise that way. How much is your rent? I
[50:27] Speaker 1: don't know. How much is your transportation?
[50:30] Speaker 4: I don't know.
[50:31] Speaker 1: God help me and God say, what do you want
[50:33] Speaker 1: me to do for you now? How can I touch
[50:35] Speaker 1: a destiny helper to help you? That is the reason
[50:40] Speaker 1: why if God gives such a person one million, two million,
[50:44] Speaker 1: he will rejoice and roll on the ground even if
[50:46] Speaker 1: here and in two weeks he's back to his former
[50:48] Speaker 1: self again. Because there was no definition of desires. There
[50:53] Speaker 1: will always be wastage of opportunities when there are no
[50:56] Speaker 1: definitions to your desire. Hallelujah. I truly believe, watch this,
[51:05] Speaker 1: that part of the reason why Joseph excelled was because
[51:10] Speaker 1: he prepared. He knew that based on the law of
[51:12] Speaker 1: time and chance, one day I will stand.
[51:15] Speaker 4: Before the king.
[51:17] Speaker 1: It may take long. There is no guarantee. No date
[51:20] Speaker 1: was given to me. And I'm saying this prophetically to someone.
[51:23] Speaker 1: Do you know you are closer to meeting your helpers?
[51:26] Speaker 1: Are you prepared? Have you imagined yourself in the boardroom?
[51:29] Speaker 1: Or do you want until the day God now opens
[51:32] Speaker 1: the door, you now disgrace yourself and your destiny as
[51:36] Speaker 1: a result of lack of definition? Many years ago, let
[51:40] Speaker 1: me tell you, many years ago, A younger, much younger
[51:45] Speaker 1: version of myself. Back in our family house in Joss.
[51:49] Speaker 1: I used to go to our boys quarters in the night.
[51:51] Speaker 4: You've heard my story.
[51:52] Speaker 1: I would carry a mic. A stick now representing a mic.
[51:56] Speaker 1: And I would be shouting at the back of that house.
[51:58] Speaker 1: Preaching alone. I never knew that my mom once peeped
[52:02] Speaker 1: at me. And she saw me doing it once. And
[52:05] Speaker 1: I would sense the power of God.
[52:09] Speaker 4: I'm preaching.
[52:10] Speaker 1: That's koinonia there in the bush.
[52:14] Speaker 5: It's true.
[52:17] Speaker 1: Do you believe what I'm telling you? Let me sincerely
[52:22] Speaker 1: admit to you, if you do not have a definition
[52:25] Speaker 1: for your desires, it will never come to pass. I
[52:28] Speaker 1: hate to be a bearer of bad news. Oh, I'm
[52:31] Speaker 1: going to be a great man of God. Do you
[52:33] Speaker 1: have individuals that represent where you are getting to? Oh,
[52:37] Speaker 1: I'll be greater than anybody. Be like them first, then
[52:40] Speaker 1: you can be greater than them. Some of these foolish
[52:44] Speaker 1: and blind strategies that people bring is the reason why
[52:47] Speaker 1: they don't rise. They will tell you, I'm going to
[52:49] Speaker 1: be greater than. Have an idea. I'm going to be
[52:51] Speaker 1: a great crusade person. There are a few people that
[52:54] Speaker 1: can be a starting point.
[52:56] Speaker 4: Priming your creativity.
[52:57] Speaker 1: Reinhard Bonnke is there of blessed memory. Billy Graham is
[53:01] Speaker 1: there of blessed memory. At every level, there is someone
[53:05] Speaker 1: who can relate.
[53:06] Speaker 4: To your desires.
[53:10] Speaker 1: Lessons from an overcomer. Are we learning? You must give
[53:15] Speaker 1: definition to your desire. You will see.
[53:18] Speaker 4: Someone who is in a one room, but he.
[53:20] Speaker 1: Has already given an architect, an architect friend. He says,
[53:24] Speaker 1: help me draw a three bedroom flat. And the man said, well,
[53:28] Speaker 1: I will draw it, but I know you are wasting
[53:31] Speaker 1: your time. No.
[53:32] Speaker 4: And he would draw it and write it there.
[53:35] Speaker 1: Or some persons who spell their goals in the name
[53:38] Speaker 1: of Jesus, by the end of 2023, I should be
[53:41] Speaker 1: worth at least 10 million naira.
[53:43] Speaker 4: May not be too much at whatever level.
[53:45] Speaker 1: Someone may laugh at you and say, just that, no problem.
[53:47] Speaker 1: Allow them. You just keep dreaming with God. In the
[53:50] Speaker 1: name of Jesus as a man of God. I should
[53:52] Speaker 1: have the privilege at the end of the year. I
[53:55] Speaker 1: should be serving his grace to these people and this region.
[53:58] Speaker 4: Planning is powerful.
[54:00] Speaker 1: And there is no planning without deploying your imagination. Listen,
[54:07] Speaker 1: I want you to respect what you are hearing. Believe me,
[54:11] Speaker 1: even from an intellectual standpoint, you will not hear what
[54:13] Speaker 1: you are hearing without paying a price. I assure you
[54:16] Speaker 1: on this. Ask any consultant and any intelligent person.
[54:19] Speaker 4: What you are hearing for free is what people will.
[54:22] Speaker 1: Pay tens of thousands of dollars to travel for seminars
[54:26] Speaker 1: to listen to. I pray and hope.
[54:28] Speaker 4: That you respect it.
[54:30] Speaker 1: Lesson number two from an overcomer is that when there
[54:33] Speaker 1: is no definition to your desires... There is no sustainable success.
[54:38] Speaker 1: Let's rush. Are we learning? Lesson number three. Are you ready?
[54:48] Speaker 1: People are not really affected by what happens to them.
[54:54] Speaker 1: Listen and then you'll write. People are not really affected
[54:58] Speaker 1: by what happens to them. They are affected by the
[55:02] Speaker 1: meaning they give what happens to them. It is not
[55:05] Speaker 1: what happens to people that affects them. It is the
[55:09] Speaker 1: definition and the meaning they give what happens to them
[55:14] Speaker 1: that causes the pain and the despair. Let me say
[55:17] Speaker 1: it again and then I will dictate it for you
[55:19] Speaker 1: to write. People are not really affected by what happens
[55:24] Speaker 1: to them. They are affected by the meaning and the
[55:29] Speaker 1: definitions and also the interpretations that.
[55:33] Speaker 4: They tie to what happens to them. Please look up.
[55:37] Speaker 1: Don't worry, you will write. What is the difference between
[55:40] Speaker 1: falling in church and falling in a restaurant? Young lady.
[55:49] Speaker 1: As I'm teaching right now, the power of God carries
[55:51] Speaker 1: you up and lands you down. You get up rejoicing.
[55:54] Speaker 1: And even your seatmate says, my God, he has visited you.
[55:57] Speaker 4: Verses.
[55:58] Speaker 1: You fall down in a restaurant. You fell down. The
[56:02] Speaker 1: worst fall may even be here. What is the difference?
[56:05] Speaker 1: It's not the falling down. It's the meaning that you
[56:07] Speaker 1: attach to that experience.
[56:09] Speaker 4: That's what causes depression.
[56:11] Speaker 1: That's what causes joy. It is never what happens to
[56:15] Speaker 1: you that has that power to destroy you. You have
[56:18] Speaker 1: associated happenings around your life and you have connected them
[56:22] Speaker 1: to certain meanings. There are events that mean failure to you.
[56:27] Speaker 1: There are events that mean weakness to you. There are
[56:31] Speaker 1: events that mean oppression to you. What is making someone
[56:35] Speaker 1: cry is another person's desire. Someone will cry and say,
[56:39] Speaker 1: I got only one million. It's a meaning you connected
[56:42] Speaker 1: to it. That based on your level, one million is
[56:45] Speaker 1: a testimony of a failure. Whereas for someone, that one million,
[56:49] Speaker 1: he will talk about it as though, I mean, he
[56:52] Speaker 1: just got to heaven. Now you write, please. People are
[56:58] Speaker 1: not affected by what happens to them. They are affected
[57:05] Speaker 1: by the meaning they connect to the happenings. People are
[57:11] Speaker 1: not really affected by what happens to them.
[57:16] Speaker 4: They are affected by the meaning.
[57:20] Speaker 1: That they connect to those happenings. This is the reason
[57:25] Speaker 1: why comfort and counseling is powerful. What happens when you
[57:30] Speaker 1: are comforted? What happens when you are being counseled? Your
[57:33] Speaker 1: perceptions are being changed. That's all. The situation is not
[57:37] Speaker 1: being solved necessarily. It is your perception. For instance, if
[57:40] Speaker 1: you lose a loved one because of the pain. Or
[57:43] Speaker 1: let me use something more bearable. You lose a job.
[57:48] Speaker 1: And you get angry. And angry. And someone sits with
[57:51] Speaker 1: you down.
[57:52] Speaker 4: And says, do you know?
[57:53] Speaker 2: Perhaps.
[57:55] Speaker 4: The Bible says all things work together for good.
[57:57] Speaker 1: Is that true? Watch what is happening to you now.
[58:00] Speaker 1: The person says, I know the story of someone who
[58:03] Speaker 1: lost a job and did not know it was a
[58:05] Speaker 1: springboard to the next level. At the end of it,
[58:07] Speaker 1: the person who was crying 10 minutes ago is now
[58:10] Speaker 1: suddenly rejoicing.
[58:12] Speaker 4: Did you give the person a job?
[58:13] Speaker 2: No.
[58:14] Speaker 1: You changed the meaning associated to that situation. Can I
[58:18] Speaker 1: tell you, when you learn this principle, you can laugh
[58:20] Speaker 1: through storms. What happens when you make a video and
[58:28] Speaker 1: you have only two likes or two follows? Why do
[58:31] Speaker 1: you cry? Abba, all of this, can you imagine? I
[58:37] Speaker 1: suffered to preach this message and only two people.
[58:40] Speaker 4: Are you sure it was only two people?
[58:42] Speaker 1: What if the first click was a congregation listening to you?
[58:47] Speaker 1: But you have, there is a meaning. People are not
[58:59] Speaker 1: really affected by what happens.
[59:00] Speaker 4: I assure you.
[59:03] Speaker 1: Why do you hate to let people know that your father,
[59:05] Speaker 1: with all due respect, maybe some person doing some menial job.
[59:09] Speaker 1: and you lie and call him your uncle no that's
[59:12] Speaker 1: my uncle my real father is abroad why are you
[59:16] Speaker 1: telling that lie it's not necessarily because you're a bad
[59:19] Speaker 1: person there is a meaning You feel that when you
[59:23] Speaker 1: reveal the true status of your father in that lowly estate,
[59:27] Speaker 1: it may affect people's perception about your self-worth and you will.
[59:31] Speaker 4: Lose your sense of significance.
[59:35] Speaker 1: That means a secured believer is one who redefines the
[59:40] Speaker 1: meaning that you have associated to many things and with
[59:44] Speaker 1: many things in your life.
[59:45] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[59:50] Speaker 1: Are you learning? It is truly not what happens to
[59:53] Speaker 1: you that destroys you. I mean, you just called me
[59:58] Speaker 1: Joshua Selman, not Apostle Joshua.
[1:00:00] Speaker 4: Do you know who I am? What is the meaning
[1:00:03] Speaker 4: of that?
[1:00:04] Speaker 1: Perhaps, maybe from that culture, they feel it's okay to
[1:00:07] Speaker 1: just say Joshua Selman. And you have saved me.
[1:00:10] Speaker 4: You will soon know now that God called me.
[1:00:15] Speaker 1: All that complaint is simply because Apostle was missing?
[1:00:18] Speaker 2: No.
[1:00:19] Speaker 1: It is a meaning you have connected to it. There
[1:00:22] Speaker 1: are people who are so insecure that even if it's
[1:00:24] Speaker 1: a little child that taps your leg and says uncle,
[1:00:27] Speaker 1: they will slap him because they are used to respect.
[1:00:30] Speaker 1: How dare you tap my feet, this little boy. And
[1:00:32] Speaker 1: they slap the boy and say you don't know who
[1:00:34] Speaker 1: I am. Why will a man pound on his wife,
[1:00:39] Speaker 1: slapping her and saying, do you know I'm older than you?
[1:00:42] Speaker 1: It should be obvious. Why would the woman revenge back
[1:00:44] Speaker 1: and say, you will stay without food this night. And
[1:00:48] Speaker 1: all that drama is happening. Do you know at the
[1:00:50] Speaker 1: end of it is simply that there is an oscillation.
[1:00:53] Speaker 1: They are stinging their ego and simply because of the meaning. Meaning.
[1:01:03] Speaker 1: Lessons from an overcomer. Number three. We are not really
[1:01:08] Speaker 1: affected by what happens to us. It is the definition
[1:01:12] Speaker 1: and the meaning that we associate. So because of this
[1:01:17] Speaker 1: meaning and definitions, another word for it is called ego.
[1:01:23] Speaker 4: Ego is an industry.
[1:01:25] Speaker 1: There are businesses that are literally built out of this
[1:01:28] Speaker 1: deficiency in men.
[1:01:30] Speaker 4: Are we together?
[1:01:32] Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
[1:01:34] Speaker 4: If you watch me and I come down from a
[1:01:35] Speaker 4: car and it's a.
[1:01:36] Speaker 1: Nice Jeep or some Lincoln Navigator or something, that's right.
[1:01:40] Speaker 1: But if I come out from maybe a golf or somewhere,
[1:01:42] Speaker 1: you now say.
[1:01:43] Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
[1:01:44] Speaker 1: Now this should not be. There are people who stand
[1:01:49] Speaker 1: behind aircrafts. They have never entered. I may never enter soon.
[1:01:55] Speaker 1: I'll snap in front of it and just say to God,
[1:01:58] Speaker 1: be the glory.
[1:01:59] Speaker 4: I just arrived. I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I'm
[1:02:03] Speaker 4: not trying to be sarcastic.
[1:02:05] Speaker 1: Alright? But why do we go through this pressure? Why
[1:02:09] Speaker 1: do we go through all of those kinds of things?
[1:02:12] Speaker 1: That house you see is my own. In fact, I
[1:02:15] Speaker 1: don't want to say much. And then we wrap up
[1:02:17] Speaker 1: everything and just say to God be the glory. But
[1:02:19] Speaker 1: the truth is that we hope that by some meaning....
[1:02:25] Speaker 4: Even if it is by falsehood, we will earn respect.
[1:02:29] Speaker 1: Are we together? People will believe that, oh, we are
[1:02:31] Speaker 1: serious people, maybe we are wealthy, and so on and
[1:02:34] Speaker 1: so forth. Can I tell you, when you learn to
[1:02:37] Speaker 1: give things proper meanings, offense will be minimized in your life.
[1:02:42] Speaker 1: The direct consequence of violating this principle is that you
[1:02:46] Speaker 1: will live a life in unnecessary pain and offense. Someone
[1:02:51] Speaker 1: can be looking at you and thinking about his rent,
[1:02:53] Speaker 1: and you think the person is eyeing you. I've noticed
[1:02:57] Speaker 1: that this person is eyeing me. And honestly, the person
[1:03:00] Speaker 1: is just, you know you can be looking at someone
[1:03:02] Speaker 1: and you are not there. The person is thinking of
[1:03:04] Speaker 1: what explanation he will give the landlord.
[1:03:06] Speaker 4: And you are there.
[1:03:07] Speaker 1: Misunderstanding the person and looking at the person.
[1:03:11] Speaker 4: Through the lens of your insecurity.
[1:03:19] Speaker 1: Can we do number four? Number four. What lesson do
[1:03:25] Speaker 1: we have to learn tonight from an overcomer? Is someone
[1:03:28] Speaker 1: becoming wiser? Are you ready for number four?
[1:03:33] Speaker 4: Alright, so let's go.
[1:03:35] Speaker 1: You need encouragement slash motivation to start anything.
[1:03:40] Speaker 4: But it takes.
[1:03:41] Speaker 1: Discipline and endurance to be consistent. You need encouragement slash
[1:03:49] Speaker 1: motivation to start anything. When you're about starting anything, what
[1:03:55] Speaker 1: you need is encouragement and motivation. But it will take
[1:04:00] Speaker 1: discipline and endurance to be consistent in life. The secret
[1:04:08] Speaker 1: to starting is motivation. But the secret to remaining and
[1:04:13] Speaker 1: to be consistent is discipline and endurance. discipline and endurance
[1:04:22] Speaker 1: you need encouragement and motivation to start anything a business
[1:04:28] Speaker 1: a ministry a home you just need encouragement but everyone
[1:04:32] Speaker 1: who has stayed in any field of success will tell
[1:04:35] Speaker 1: you that you get to a point where you need
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: beyond motivation it will take discipline And it will take endurance.
[1:04:43] Speaker 1: And talking about discipline, there are two dimensions to discipline.
[1:04:46] Speaker 1: Number one, there is the staying power. It's called discipline.
[1:04:51] Speaker 1: Number two, there is the ability, the.
[1:04:53] Speaker 4: Power of restraint. You need both.
[1:04:55] Speaker 1: You are not disciplined if you do not have, number one,
[1:04:59] Speaker 1: the staying power. The ability to continue, even if alone.
[1:05:04] Speaker 1: And then number two, the ability to say no to
[1:05:07] Speaker 1: many good things. You need encouragement and motivation to start
[1:05:15] Speaker 1: anything in life. But it will take discipline and endurance. Believers,
[1:05:21] Speaker 1: please listen to me. This is a very profound point.
[1:05:24] Speaker 1: Most people think that those who today we call overcomers,
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: champions in the spirit and in destiny, that it was
[1:05:32] Speaker 1: motivation that took them all through. I disagree totally. Go
[1:05:37] Speaker 1: and ask any champion in any field. There are times
[1:05:41] Speaker 1: that the kind of challenges you have before you, motivation
[1:05:45] Speaker 1: will not solve it. You need the staying power. To continue.
[1:05:49] Speaker 1: Even if you do not know the name of what
[1:05:51] Speaker 1: you are doing. Motivate me to get to Lagos. You
[1:05:56] Speaker 1: can encourage me when I start.
[1:05:58] Speaker 4: Say by road.
[1:05:59] Speaker 1: By the time I am seven hours. Don't motivate me.
[1:06:03] Speaker 1: You are wasting your time. Pray for me for the
[1:06:05] Speaker 1: same power.
[1:06:06] Speaker 4: To remain in.
[1:06:07] Speaker 1: That car till I arrive. Are we together? We have
[1:06:11] Speaker 1: a world that is so in need of motivation. And
[1:06:14] Speaker 1: motivation is important, don't get me wrong.
[1:06:16] Speaker 4: It helps to prime you to start.
[1:06:18] Speaker 1: But there are times you will need to stay alone.
[1:06:21] Speaker 1: And say, though he slay me, I will still trust him.
[1:06:26] Speaker 1: Hebrews chapter 6 and verse 15.
[1:06:29] Speaker 4: Many people lack the staying power.
[1:06:32] Speaker 1: It says, and so... After he, the he being Abraham,
[1:06:36] Speaker 1: had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Abraham did not
[1:06:44] Speaker 1: just obtain the promise because God.
[1:06:46] Speaker 4: Said he would.
[1:06:47] Speaker 1: It took patience. It took endurance. Can I tell you
[1:06:52] Speaker 1: the truth? For some of you, by reason of what
[1:06:54] Speaker 1: I'm saying, God is telling you, go back to what
[1:06:57] Speaker 1: you were doing. It is still my will. Stay there.
[1:07:02] Speaker 1: It will not magically, you know, we have this idea
[1:07:04] Speaker 1: that because you are in the will of God, the
[1:07:07] Speaker 1: results will happen overnight. No, sir. There are times you
[1:07:09] Speaker 1: will cry. You are still in the will of God.
[1:07:11] Speaker 1: There are times it will not make sense. You are
[1:07:13] Speaker 1: still in the will of God. This stubborn child, was
[1:07:17] Speaker 1: it a cost to get you?
[1:07:18] Speaker 4: He's still a pastor.
[1:07:19] Speaker 1: Trade him. Endure. Endure. Endure.
[1:07:23] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[1:07:31] Speaker 1: A gentleman heard that I prayed for 72 hours. And,
[1:07:36] Speaker 1: you know, these guys will get motivated. And that's wonderful.
[1:07:39] Speaker 4: It's good to inspire people.
[1:07:40] Speaker 1: The guy now sent a text that he was going to,
[1:07:43] Speaker 1: you know, go past. He said, he challenged himself that
[1:07:49] Speaker 1: he will go past, you know, 72 hours. And, of course,
[1:07:53] Speaker 1: there are many ways to learn. Many ways to learn.
[1:07:57] Speaker 1: Are we together? Are we together? You know, when you
[1:08:03] Speaker 1: hear it, you think it's just easy. What is there?
[1:08:06] Speaker 1: I assure you by experience, by the time you pass
[1:08:10] Speaker 1: four or five hours, there has to be a grace
[1:08:13] Speaker 1: that carries you through. There is absolutely nothing that will
[1:08:17] Speaker 1: motivate you about that experience again.
[1:08:19] Speaker 4: If you don't know this, you are not a.
[1:08:21] Speaker 1: Person of prayer. Even if the Holy Ghost is shaking
[1:08:28] Speaker 1: all the chairs in your room. I assure you.
[1:08:31] Speaker 4: It is discipline that will drive you through. Are we together?
[1:08:36] Speaker 4: Say discipline. Yes sir.
[1:08:40] Speaker 1: The staying power. For somebody you are about to veer
[1:08:44] Speaker 1: off the path of destiny. Whereas the path you have
[1:08:47] Speaker 1: taken is the right path. You just need to remain.
[1:08:50] Speaker 1: If you are traveling again in my example from Abuja
[1:08:53] Speaker 1: to Lagos. Even if by air. It would be unwise
[1:08:56] Speaker 1: after 15 minutes to start shouting at the crew members
[1:08:59] Speaker 1: or the pilot to say, I thought that this flight
[1:09:01] Speaker 1: is supposed to be a fast one.
[1:09:03] Speaker 4: No, you will have to endure. How do you endure?
[1:09:07] Speaker 1: Sometimes you do nothing. Just sit down till you arrive.
[1:09:11] Speaker 1: Just sit down. There are times you have to drive.
[1:09:13] Speaker 1: If you're the one driving or fly. If you're the one,
[1:09:16] Speaker 1: the pilot in charge. But there are times that you
[1:09:19] Speaker 1: do not need to do anything. It's called the staying power.
[1:09:22] Speaker 1: The ability to remain until the law of process runs
[1:09:26] Speaker 1: its course in your life. Those who are good in
[1:09:30] Speaker 1: the kitchen, you know this. There are times you mix everything.
[1:09:33] Speaker 1: There's nothing else to do. Just close the pot and wait.
[1:09:38] Speaker 1: Have you tried to taste food when it's on fire?
[1:09:42] Speaker 1: You just want to pick the piece of meat by force.
[1:09:44] Speaker 1: You know what it does to you? Because of impatience,
[1:09:49] Speaker 1: you will burn your tongue and get, you may even,
[1:09:52] Speaker 1: out of shock, you may push the whole food down.
[1:09:55] Speaker 4: That's what happens to people.
[1:09:56] Speaker 1: Impatience has cheated many people from actualizing their destiny. Just
[1:10:02] Speaker 1: wait 30 more minutes. The food is yours.
[1:10:09] Speaker 4: Are we together?
[1:10:11] Speaker 1: You can roam around the kitchen but wait. You can
[1:10:14] Speaker 1: be hungry but wait. Watch videos of food but wait.
[1:10:18] Speaker 1: Once the meal is ready, they now serve it beautifully
[1:10:22] Speaker 1: and you can sit down and take your time to
[1:10:25] Speaker 1: enjoy your meal. Say in the name of Jesus. I
[1:10:28] Speaker 1: receive grace to wait. I receive grace to stay. I
[1:10:35] Speaker 1: receive grace to stand. I receive grace to be disciplined.
[1:10:41] Speaker 1: Do you know that one million is one plus one
[1:10:45] Speaker 1: plus one plus one plus one million? There are many
[1:10:50] Speaker 1: people who want to save. And their target is 2
[1:10:53] Speaker 1: million naira. When they get to 700,000, they get angry
[1:10:57] Speaker 1: one day and say, look, it's only when I'm alive
[1:10:59] Speaker 1: I'll get to 2 million. And they convince themselves.
[1:11:01] Speaker 4: Of all kinds of things.
[1:11:03] Speaker 1: And usually they keep the money where they will not
[1:11:05] Speaker 1: even see it. So they just reach their hands and
[1:11:08] Speaker 1: pull out whatever is there. One day you place your
[1:11:10] Speaker 1: hand and not find anything there.
[1:11:12] Speaker 4: And you say, who stole?
[1:11:13] Speaker 1: No, it was carelessness and indiscipline that finished that money.
[1:11:17] Speaker 1: Just because you do not know what you did with
[1:11:20] Speaker 1: it does not mean you did not use it. And
[1:11:23] Speaker 1: for people, they will say their money is disappearing. Now,
[1:11:25] Speaker 1: there are real cases like that. But in most cases,
[1:11:29] Speaker 1: it's a lie. It's just the carelessness of the individual.
[1:11:35] Speaker 1: You need encouragement and motivation to start.
[1:11:38] Speaker 4: But it will take discipline. It will take endurance. It
[1:11:42] Speaker 4: will take endurance.
[1:11:45] Speaker 1: Listen, I wrote here, you must learn to say no
[1:11:48] Speaker 1: to many good things if you desire greatness. We have
[1:11:53] Speaker 1: been taught that you only say no to evil things. No.
[1:11:57] Speaker 1: There are many good things in your life. You must
[1:11:59] Speaker 1: sustain the courage to say no to. He's changing everything
[1:12:09] Speaker 1: in obedience to Christ. Rearranging everything in obedience to Christ.
[1:12:20] Speaker 1: Remolding everything in obedience to Christ.
[1:12:25] Speaker 4: That's what he's doing.
[1:12:27] Speaker 1: Rearranging everything in obedience to Christ. Hallelujah. Have you seen
[1:12:36] Speaker 1: someone running a race? A real race, a finals. Some marathon.
[1:12:43] Speaker 1: And then while they are on. Say maybe they just
[1:12:46] Speaker 1: have two or three more turns.
[1:12:47] Speaker 4: And they are done.
[1:12:49] Speaker 1: And someone just dangles. Some ice cream and says, listen,
[1:12:53] Speaker 1: remember you like ice cream. Is ice cream wrong? No.
[1:12:57] Speaker 1: But with respect to what you are doing, it is
[1:13:00] Speaker 1: a distraction.
[1:13:01] Speaker 4: Can I tell you?
[1:13:02] Speaker 1: If the devil uses evil things to get you and
[1:13:05] Speaker 1: you resist it, you will use good things. The most
[1:13:08] Speaker 1: important thing is that you go down. Whether by good
[1:13:11] Speaker 1: or evil. There is a tree called the tree of
[1:13:13] Speaker 1: the knowledge of good and evil. Both good and evil
[1:13:17] Speaker 1: are connected to that tree. And it has one assignment
[1:13:19] Speaker 1: to destroy you. There are many things in your life.
[1:13:22] Speaker 1: It's not just about good or bad. It's about wise
[1:13:26] Speaker 1: and unwise. There are many things that may be good.
[1:13:29] Speaker 1: But may not be wisdom for you. With respect to
[1:13:32] Speaker 1: the making that is happening to you. Is someone learning?
[1:13:37] Speaker 1: In obedience to Christ. In obedience to Christ. In obedience
[1:13:45] Speaker 1: to Christ. Bringing my life. In obedience to Christ. So
[1:13:52] Speaker 1: you must learn from an overcomer. That the great are
[1:14:00] Speaker 1: people who master the art of staying.
[1:14:03] Speaker 4: Even if in their tears.
[1:14:06] Speaker 1: When a woman announces that she's pregnant. Usually people celebrate
[1:14:11] Speaker 1: her and say wow. Especially if she's trusted God for
[1:14:14] Speaker 1: a while. People can say this is beautiful. We're happy
[1:14:16] Speaker 1: to know this. Five months. Six months. And you find
[1:14:21] Speaker 1: out that no matter what you say. It doesn't bring
[1:14:24] Speaker 1: that laughter it brought at month one and two again.
[1:14:27] Speaker 1: Because at that point what she needs is not motivation.
[1:14:30] Speaker 1: The staying power. She will complain. But the baby is
[1:14:35] Speaker 1: still there. She will argue. I her husband.
[1:14:38] Speaker 4: But he's still there.
[1:14:39] Speaker 1: Until she finally gives birth. And everybody comes to rejoice.
[1:14:43] Speaker 1: And sometimes she can even say this is the last time.
[1:14:46] Speaker 4: And then.
[1:14:49] Speaker 1: See that now. Is someone learning? Getting angry that there
[1:14:59] Speaker 1: is nobody encouraging me is a joke. They encourage you
[1:15:03] Speaker 1: when they were launching and cutting the scissors of that pharmacy.
[1:15:07] Speaker 1: Now that no one is buying the drugs, now that
[1:15:09] Speaker 1: people are not coming, you do not need motivation.
[1:15:12] Speaker 4: You need encouragement.
[1:15:14] Speaker 1: By the spirit. And sometimes it does not come just
[1:15:18] Speaker 1: by saying go forward. It is discipline. Remain. Remain.
[1:15:22] Speaker 4: Don't give up. Remain.
[1:15:24] Speaker 1: This one is beyond motivation. It's beyond positive speaking. You
[1:15:28] Speaker 1: just need to stay until it happens. I'm praying for
[1:15:31] Speaker 1: someone who is weary and weak. In ministry, in life
[1:15:35] Speaker 1: and in destiny. As a parent. As a student, it
[1:15:40] Speaker 1: looks like you have stretched yourself and you have gotten
[1:15:42] Speaker 1: to your wit's end. In the name of Jesus, the
[1:15:45] Speaker 1: son of the living God, the staying power, that engracing
[1:15:49] Speaker 1: that causes men to remain until they manifest. May it
[1:15:53] Speaker 1: rest upon you now. May it rest upon you now.
[1:15:59] Speaker 1: May it rest upon you now. Please sit down. Are
[1:16:04] Speaker 1: you ready for number six? The sixth lesson. Number what? Five.
[1:16:10] Speaker 1: Thank you for following. Okay, so number five. Do not
[1:16:17] Speaker 1: be hasty with words or with commitments. Do not be
[1:16:23] Speaker 1: hasty with words or with commitments. Think, pray, and seek
[1:16:30] Speaker 1: counsel before making destiny-defining decisions. I'll take it again slowly.
[1:16:38] Speaker 1: Do not be hasty. This is the fifth lesson we
[1:16:41] Speaker 1: learn from an overcomer. Do not be hasty with words.
[1:16:46] Speaker 1: And do not be hasty with commitments. Put that down first.
[1:16:50] Speaker 1: Do not be hasty with words. And do not be
[1:16:54] Speaker 1: hasty with commitments. Think. Pray. And seek counsel. Before making
[1:17:04] Speaker 1: destiny defining decisions. Think, pray and seek counsel before making
[1:17:14] Speaker 1: destiny defining decisions. This is a profound truth.
[1:17:20] Speaker 4: Do not be hasty with words.
[1:17:22] Speaker 1: Do not be hasty with commitments. By the grace of God,
[1:17:27] Speaker 1: I've studied many successful people, especially Christians. Within the body
[1:17:31] Speaker 1: of Christ and in ministry. I found out that the
[1:17:34] Speaker 1: older they get, the more they place value on their words.
[1:17:38] Speaker 1: Have you noticed that people speak faster.
[1:17:40] Speaker 4: When they are younger?
[1:17:43] Speaker 1: The aged treasure their words. And sometimes they can be
[1:17:48] Speaker 1: silent for very long. But in their silence they are
[1:17:53] Speaker 1: processing a lot of things.
[1:17:54] Speaker 4: Young people are full of zeal.
[1:17:56] Speaker 1: And they can shout and say a thousand words and
[1:17:59] Speaker 1: then find out they made a mistake they cannot recall again.
[1:18:02] Speaker 4: Do not be hasty with words.
[1:18:04] Speaker 1: The Bible says even a fool when he is silent
[1:18:08] Speaker 1: is regarded wise. Many of us today have committed ourselves
[1:18:12] Speaker 1: in lives and things and people to our pain. Because
[1:18:17] Speaker 1: if only we were a bit patient. Would have made
[1:18:21] Speaker 1: better decisions. Is someone learning? Here's what the Bible says.
[1:18:28] Speaker 1: In Proverbs. Chapter 11 and verse 4. Did I get
[1:18:38] Speaker 1: that right?
[1:18:39] Speaker 4: I may have made a mistake. I've missed somewhere.
[1:18:41] Speaker 1: My apologies. Do not be hasty with words. Or with commitments.
[1:18:46] Speaker 1: Now let me explain a bit on that.
[1:18:48] Speaker 2: Listen.
[1:18:50] Speaker 1: I wrote here that humans are largely interest motivated and
[1:18:57] Speaker 1: self-centered you need to know this humans are largely interest
[1:19:04] Speaker 1: motivated and self-centered That means in your entire lifetime, you
[1:19:09] Speaker 1: can count literally on the palms of your hands the
[1:19:13] Speaker 1: number of people who will come to participate with your
[1:19:16] Speaker 1: life and destiny, not expecting anything in return. Humans are
[1:19:24] Speaker 1: largely interest motivated and self-centered. And nothing is wrong exactly
[1:19:31] Speaker 1: with that. Except for the fact, as you'll be learning further,
[1:19:34] Speaker 1: that because humans are self-centered in the presence of interest,
[1:19:41] Speaker 1: everyone is a saint. Did you hear what I said?
[1:19:44] Speaker 1: In the presence of interest, everybody is a saint. Meaning,
[1:19:49] Speaker 1: provided I can see how I can benefit from this process,
[1:19:53] Speaker 1: I will usually be at my best.
[1:19:56] Speaker 4: You know people in truth.
[1:19:58] Speaker 1: When there is an awareness that their expectations are disappointed,
[1:20:03] Speaker 1: that's when you.
[1:20:04] Speaker 4: Truly know who people are.
[1:20:05] Speaker 2: Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
[1:20:12] Speaker 1: Do not be hasty with words. Do not be hasty
[1:20:16] Speaker 1: with commitments. Like I said last week, there are people
[1:20:21] Speaker 1: who have made commitments even in church. And they were
[1:20:24] Speaker 1: hasty to make those commitments. And it is now to
[1:20:26] Speaker 1: their detriment and it is now to their peril. If
[1:20:30] Speaker 1: only Herod was patient. He would not have made such
[1:20:33] Speaker 1: a costly statement to tell the girl because you have danced.
[1:20:38] Speaker 1: Ask anything up to half of my kingdom. How could
[1:20:41] Speaker 1: he say that? And the lady went and consulted and
[1:20:45] Speaker 1: they said, beautiful, bring on a platter the head of John.
[1:20:51] Speaker 1: And because he was a king and he had spoken.
[1:20:54] Speaker 1: There are many of you who made hasty statements. I
[1:20:57] Speaker 1: will sponsor 10 of you from primary school till university.
[1:21:01] Speaker 1: And camera caught it. We live in a social media
[1:21:04] Speaker 1: age today. After five years, someone comes to review your
[1:21:08] Speaker 1: commitment for you. Sorry sir, just to remind you that
[1:21:12] Speaker 1: you are that philanthropist that we knew five years ago.
[1:21:14] Speaker 1: You promised these people that you'll pay their school fees
[1:21:17] Speaker 1: for the rest of their life. And now you are
[1:21:19] Speaker 1: trapped in something you do not have the capacity to sustain.
[1:21:25] Speaker 1: There are things before destiny defining decisions. Pray. Think. And
[1:21:32] Speaker 1: then consult with wise people. This is what made ordinary
[1:21:36] Speaker 1: people to become overcomers. They were not hasty with words.
[1:21:39] Speaker 1: When they brought a woman to Jesus, remember the story?
[1:21:42] Speaker 1: A woman who was caught in adultery. The Bible says,
[1:21:45] Speaker 1: in the very act of it. And then the people say, yes,
[1:21:48] Speaker 1: you claim that you are sent from God. This woman
[1:21:52] Speaker 1: now has been caught in adultery. What do you have
[1:21:54] Speaker 1: to say? Watch Jesus, the overcomer, the wise. The Bible
[1:22:01] Speaker 1: says he sat quietly and he was writing on the ground.
[1:22:06] Speaker 1: I'm sure the people were impatient, boiling, hoping to trap him.
[1:22:11] Speaker 1: If I were Jesus, I'm sure they would have caught
[1:22:13] Speaker 1: me immediately. Maybe that's where they would have even crucified me.
[1:22:17] Speaker 1: Because of careless statements. And you would not have died
[1:22:20] Speaker 1: a savior.
[1:22:20] Speaker 4: You would have died a loser. You see that?
[1:22:24] Speaker 1: He kept quiet and he was writing. And then he
[1:22:27] Speaker 1: looks up.
[1:22:28] Speaker 4: From the residue of wisdom.
[1:22:30] Speaker 1: He says.
[1:22:32] Speaker 4: He who is without sin.
[1:22:33] Speaker 1: Among you should cast the first stone end of discussion
[1:22:37] Speaker 1: what's the effect of such wisdom the bible says and
[1:22:40] Speaker 1: they were convicted from the oldest what kind of word
[1:22:45] Speaker 1: do you say that from the eldest to the last
[1:22:48] Speaker 1: their conscience gets under arrest one sentence ladies and gentlemen
[1:22:54] Speaker 1: from the oldest Because the older you are, the more
[1:22:58] Speaker 1: you need repentance and forgiveness.
[1:23:00] Speaker 4: And so from the oldest to the youngest.
[1:23:05] Speaker 1: And the Bible says they left and the woman was
[1:23:08] Speaker 1: standing alone there. And it says, woman, where are the accusers?
[1:23:12] Speaker 1: And then he said, hath no man condemned thee?
[1:23:15] Speaker 4: And he said, go and see no more.
[1:23:17] Speaker 1: That was it. There are many times that before you
[1:23:23] Speaker 1: make the business decision, can I tell you, the moment
[1:23:26] Speaker 1: people want to rush you, there is most likely deception
[1:23:29] Speaker 1: around the corner. Let me give you this as a
[1:23:31] Speaker 1: powerful secret. The moment, just sign, don't worry, you will
[1:23:35] Speaker 1: read it tomorrow.
[1:23:36] Speaker 4: You just sign.
[1:23:37] Speaker 1: Is it not me? You don't trust me again? Are
[1:23:39] Speaker 1: we not from the same village? Tell them please. Anything
[1:23:42] Speaker 1: that is so, there are few things that demand that
[1:23:45] Speaker 1: kind of urgency. Very few things.
[1:23:49] Speaker 4: Maybe life and death issues.
[1:23:50] Speaker 1: I can agree. But most cases are not life and
[1:23:53] Speaker 1: death issues. It's just deception. And so you sign something
[1:23:58] Speaker 1: and they say thank you. And you know sometimes when
[1:24:00] Speaker 1: people are about to deceive, they are polite. They are
[1:24:03] Speaker 1: very nice. Say don't worry, we are very nice. And
[1:24:06] Speaker 1: as soon as you sign it and stamp it, then
[1:24:09] Speaker 1: you realize you just signed that for every other thing
[1:24:12] Speaker 1: you will get, 30% of it will go to that company.
[1:24:15] Speaker 1: Whether you have left them or not. Can you imagine that?
[1:24:19] Speaker 1: A construction company comes and because they are trying to
[1:24:22] Speaker 1: give you this.
[1:24:23] Speaker 4: You sign and stamp.
[1:24:25] Speaker 1: And they tell you if you leave the construction company
[1:24:28] Speaker 1: and you sell the house to someone else, to the
[1:24:32] Speaker 1: tenth person that occupies the house, you will still be
[1:24:34] Speaker 1: remitting to the original person.
[1:24:36] Speaker 4: You didn't look at it, you just signed.
[1:24:40] Speaker 1: It's after five years they will come with a lawyer
[1:24:43] Speaker 1: and with your signature. You will argue and argue and
[1:24:46] Speaker 1: still pay. In the name of Jesus. Whatever wants to
[1:24:50] Speaker 1: rush you unnecessarily. God gives speed but he does not
[1:24:54] Speaker 1: rush men. Please listen to me. God gives speed but
[1:24:58] Speaker 1: he does not rush people unnecessarily. This is also true
[1:25:02] Speaker 1: for ministry. Don't feel you are too anointed to wait
[1:25:05] Speaker 1: for God. And you commission yourself and crash land for nothing.
[1:25:11] Speaker 1: And beware of those who deceive you and tell you, look,
[1:25:14] Speaker 1: you are too anointed to be in this state. You
[1:25:17] Speaker 1: are still a prayer warrior in the prayer department. If
[1:25:20] Speaker 1: I had half of your anointing, I would be a
[1:25:22] Speaker 1: general overseer. And you say, really? I even have an
[1:25:27] Speaker 1: extra auditorium. We can start from there. Reminds me of
[1:25:32] Speaker 1: what happened after our first crusade in this ministry. True story.
[1:25:36] Speaker 1: We usually hold our crusades in collaboration with the PFN.
[1:25:41] Speaker 1: And so after the crusade, it was a small crusade,
[1:25:44] Speaker 1: but it was quite a phenomenal one. And did you
[1:25:47] Speaker 1: know that after that, there were a few pastors, true story,
[1:25:50] Speaker 1: they called me and they said, look, would you want
[1:25:52] Speaker 1: to come and establish a branch of your ministry there?
[1:25:56] Speaker 1: Say breakthrough. God is my witness. It looked very tempting.
[1:26:04] Speaker 1: I mean, they were sincere people. They said, no, no, no.
[1:26:07] Speaker 1: With this kind of result, I think you should be here.
[1:26:11] Speaker 1: And I told them, I said, let me go to
[1:26:12] Speaker 1: the Lord and inquire of him. I remember, I will
[1:26:15] Speaker 1: use the direct words, the Lord told me if I
[1:26:17] Speaker 1: did that, I would die. It was not causing me.
[1:26:21] Speaker 1: I'm looking from hindsight now. The level of ignorance that
[1:26:27] Speaker 1: I had in my life at that time, if I
[1:26:29] Speaker 1: had made a mistake of branching out, it would have
[1:26:31] Speaker 1: been a disaster to my period. In 2013, I think
[1:26:38] Speaker 1: it was, remember the vision? That I saw a plane
[1:26:44] Speaker 1: and it was written the name of the ministry, E
[1:26:46] Speaker 1: & I. It was about to land in Abuja and
[1:26:49] Speaker 1: it crashed. I knew that it was in the will
[1:26:52] Speaker 1: of God to come here, but it was not the
[1:26:54] Speaker 1: timing yet. I submit to you by the Spirit of God.
[1:26:57] Speaker 1: And some of the people who did this are following,
[1:26:59] Speaker 1: watching now. There are people who have opened offices for
[1:27:02] Speaker 1: me across a number of nations. And by the Spirit
[1:27:06] Speaker 1: of God, I politely requested, I told them, please, I
[1:27:10] Speaker 1: appreciate your zeal. I know that you are taking a step.
[1:27:12] Speaker 1: I appreciate your initiative. But please, can you help me
[1:27:15] Speaker 1: and close it? Can you look at open doors? And
[1:27:21] Speaker 1: still know that this may not be God that opened it.
[1:27:23] Speaker 1: I told you even the prison. You enter the prison
[1:27:27] Speaker 1: through an open door. It takes an open.
[1:27:29] Speaker 4: Door to be in jail.
[1:27:31] Speaker 1: So when a door is open. Verify where you are
[1:27:34] Speaker 1: going first. So that you don't find yourself in a prison.
[1:27:38] Speaker 1: Because even a prison has a door. Hallelujah. Do not
[1:27:47] Speaker 1: be hasty with words. There are times you need to
[1:27:50] Speaker 1: tell the people, all right, no problem. Please, can you
[1:27:53] Speaker 1: allow me a day? Let me think about it. And
[1:27:56] Speaker 1: sometimes in the place of prayer, the Holy Spirit will
[1:27:59] Speaker 1: tell you, call so-and-so person. Call so-and-so person. There are
[1:28:04] Speaker 1: many people with all due respect who have been scammed
[1:28:07] Speaker 1: because they were hasty with commitments. You just saw some email,
[1:28:11] Speaker 1: for instance. You know, most of these boys do all
[1:28:14] Speaker 1: those things. You just want 20 million US dollars. 10
[1:28:18] Speaker 1: million US dollars. And the devil will program it immediately
[1:28:22] Speaker 1: after miracle service. And you will just believe. You see,
[1:28:25] Speaker 1: this is why ignorance is not good. God does not
[1:28:28] Speaker 1: bless people that way. There is a system for growth.
[1:28:32] Speaker 1: Line upon line. Precept upon precept. If you have not
[1:28:35] Speaker 1: managed 100,000 with dignity, God will never give you a big...
[1:28:40] Speaker 1: just like that. He loves you too much to kill you. Hallelujah.
[1:28:47] Speaker 1: Have you ever been blessed in a way that you
[1:28:49] Speaker 1: are now afraid of what you had? You suspect yourself,
[1:28:52] Speaker 1: you suspect your wife, you suspect your children. The way
[1:28:55] Speaker 1: you are behaving, people know something has happened in your
[1:28:58] Speaker 1: life because you are not normal again. You are not
[1:29:00] Speaker 1: used to that realm and you did not grow into it.
[1:29:06] Speaker 1: Why is this door suddenly locked? What is your business?
[1:29:08] Speaker 1: I say, ah, no, something must be there. I release
[1:29:14] Speaker 1: grace upon you to not be hasty making commitments in
[1:29:19] Speaker 1: the name of Jesus Christ. Joining associations, joining clubs, becoming
[1:29:26] Speaker 1: part of whatever, relocating even sometimes. And then moving from
[1:29:31] Speaker 1: one region to one region. Perhaps you were in a
[1:29:33] Speaker 1: region in Abuja that was manageable. Your budget was fair
[1:29:36] Speaker 1: and fine on that. And someone just tells you, there's
[1:29:39] Speaker 1: an opportunity here. I can support you for the first year.
[1:29:42] Speaker 1: How about the other years? And you did not think
[1:29:44] Speaker 1: about it. There are times you maximize moments. But can
[1:29:48] Speaker 1: I tell you, you are never disadvantaged if you have
[1:29:51] Speaker 1: to pray before you act. You are never disadvantaged if
[1:29:55] Speaker 1: you have to seek counsel before you act. Even if
[1:29:58] Speaker 1: in the process of praying... thinking and seeking counsel, you'll
[1:30:02] Speaker 1: miss that opportunity. I can tell you, God, for his
[1:30:06] Speaker 1: name's sake, will recycle another season to honor you again.
[1:30:10] Speaker 4: This is God for you.
[1:30:12] Speaker 1: Hallelujah. Someone comes and says, I want to marry you.
[1:30:19] Speaker 1: You don't find out anything. You don't pray. I want
[1:30:22] Speaker 1: to marry, but I'm coming from a family of witches
[1:30:24] Speaker 1: and wizards.
[1:30:25] Speaker 4: No problem.
[1:30:26] Speaker 1: Look, I'm supposed to be the next priest. It doesn't matter.
[1:30:28] Speaker 1: And you don't think, what am I getting into? Do
[1:30:31] Speaker 1: I have the stamina to stand against the forces? Now,
[1:30:35] Speaker 1: I can tell you can be victorious, but it's important
[1:30:38] Speaker 1: to count the cost. I'm the only Christian out of
[1:30:42] Speaker 1: 30 people. We are 43 in our family. I'm number 39.
[1:30:47] Speaker 1: No problem. I still love you like that. And most
[1:30:50] Speaker 1: people don't think. I hope you get what I'm telling
[1:30:53] Speaker 1: you now. And then people make all kinds of rash
[1:30:56] Speaker 1: and careless decisions. And they may have to spend their
[1:30:59] Speaker 1: lifetime paying that price. Hallelujah. Say in the name of Jesus.
[1:31:09] Speaker 1: I obtain grace. To pray. I obtained grace to think.
[1:31:16] Speaker 1: I obtained grace to seek counsel before taking destiny-defining decisions. Hallelujah.
[1:31:27] Speaker 1: I struggled with the Lord for three years when he
[1:31:30] Speaker 1: began to speak to me about moving from Zaria.
[1:31:33] Speaker 4: I wasn't sure whether I was going.
[1:31:35] Speaker 1: To just or coming to Abuja, but I just knew
[1:31:37] Speaker 1: that the season had wrapped up. Now, there are times
[1:31:41] Speaker 1: where you stay unnecessarily long. That's not what I'm talking about.
[1:31:45] Speaker 1: I'm just saying that it's important that you stay with God.
[1:31:49] Speaker 1: And when you are convinced and you get a matching order,
[1:31:52] Speaker 1: then you can take that step. Hallelujah. Praise the name
[1:31:56] Speaker 1: of the Lord. Do not be hasty with words. Someone
[1:32:04] Speaker 1: calls you and says, we're looking, we want to raise
[1:32:07] Speaker 1: one billion. And we need 10 people or 100 people
[1:32:12] Speaker 1: who will bring 10, 10 million. We know you have
[1:32:14] Speaker 1: the capacity. And you feel motivated by that accolade. And
[1:32:18] Speaker 1: you say, I'm in. In fact, add me three people's spots.
[1:32:23] Speaker 1: And then eventually when you are not able to redeem
[1:32:26] Speaker 1: it and they ask you why, you say, I was
[1:32:28] Speaker 1: expecting some money.
[1:32:30] Speaker 4: You would have been patient.
[1:32:31] Speaker 1: All right, I'm interested in this, but would you just
[1:32:34] Speaker 1: allow me, you know. Let me discuss perhaps with my wife,
[1:32:38] Speaker 1: my children. There are people who have sold properties their
[1:32:41] Speaker 1: wives did not know. Their properties. The major property that
[1:32:45] Speaker 1: God has put as.
[1:32:47] Speaker 4: A refuge for the family.
[1:32:51] Speaker 1: True story. I remember someone who reached me one time.
[1:32:54] Speaker 1: And they noticed that there were some members around their land.
[1:32:57] Speaker 1: You know, going around and thanking God. True story. And
[1:33:03] Speaker 1: the woman became... If I'm joking, I'll tell you I'm joking.
[1:33:06] Speaker 1: They were going around singing praises around the land. And,
[1:33:10] Speaker 1: you know, the woman was concerned. Do you know that
[1:33:12] Speaker 1: one of their sons, you know these boys, in the
[1:33:15] Speaker 1: name of Jesus, may you have good children. This boy went,
[1:33:24] Speaker 1: being that he was the only son. Unknown to them
[1:33:28] Speaker 1: that he had negotiated with the church.
[1:33:30] Speaker 4: Now, I don't blame the church.
[1:33:32] Speaker 1: He came as by his land, his late father's land.
[1:33:36] Speaker 1: And he negotiated everything with the church. Gave them at
[1:33:39] Speaker 1: a discounted price. They were happy. And they transferred money
[1:33:43] Speaker 1: to the guy's account. The mother did not know. No
[1:33:46] Speaker 1: other person knew. And the boy was just happy. They
[1:33:48] Speaker 1: are not knowing. So the woman saw the people rejoicing.
[1:33:52] Speaker 1: It was their property. They had paid for it. But
[1:33:55] Speaker 1: the gentleman just felt if I tell these people, they
[1:33:58] Speaker 1: will close my door. And most likely you will be surprised.
[1:34:01] Speaker 1: You will think because it's a lot of money to
[1:34:03] Speaker 1: be used well. When the waste lands upon your life,
[1:34:06] Speaker 1: even one billion will vanish like 10 naira. I'm telling you,
[1:34:10] Speaker 1: have you seen people go down from grace to grass?
[1:34:15] Speaker 1: Minus you in Jesus name.
[1:34:18] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[1:34:21] Speaker 1: Hallelujah. Number five, do not be hasty with words. Do
[1:34:28] Speaker 1: not be hasty with commitments. Think. Pray. Seek counsel before
[1:34:35] Speaker 1: making destiny-defining decisions. You can't call me and say, Apostle,
[1:34:39] Speaker 1: should I wear a yellow cloth or a white cloth? No,
[1:34:41] Speaker 1: that is not a destiny-defining decision. No, that's unnecessary. But
[1:34:47] Speaker 1: there are certain destiny-defining decisions. Are we together now? Are
[1:34:53] Speaker 1: you ready for number six? Number six. I want you
[1:34:59] Speaker 1: to listen to this one. In fact, I just felt
[1:35:05] Speaker 1: scared to tell you something I learned from Dr. Mike
[1:35:07] Speaker 1: Mudok years ago. Still on point five before we get
[1:35:10] Speaker 1: to six. Patience is a virtue that forces deception to
[1:35:16] Speaker 1: reveal itself. Patience is is a virtue that forces deception
[1:35:23] Speaker 1: to reveal itself. Deception is an impatient trait. The moment
[1:35:31] Speaker 1: you are patient, you are frustrated deception. The strength of
[1:35:34] Speaker 1: deception is that you are impatient. The moment you make
[1:35:40] Speaker 1: up your mind to be patient, it is a virtue
[1:35:43] Speaker 1: that forces deception to reveal itself. Hallelujah. When the disciples
[1:35:54] Speaker 1: came to Jesus, they were happy and all of them
[1:35:57] Speaker 1: were doing their thing. Judas was there. Thomas was there.
[1:36:00] Speaker 1: Jesus never spoke to them about the kingdom, about even
[1:36:05] Speaker 1: them being apostles. They just kept following. One time they
[1:36:09] Speaker 1: got tired and one by one by one, they first
[1:36:12] Speaker 1: started fighting themselves. Then they started doing a lot of things.
[1:36:15] Speaker 1: As soon as they caught Jesus, they disappeared within 72 hours.
[1:36:19] Speaker 1: They were all lost. Only John Jesus resurrects and then
[1:36:23] Speaker 1: he meets Peter in John 21. And he says, Simon,
[1:36:27] Speaker 1: but Jonah, lovest thou me more than this? Peter was
[1:36:30] Speaker 1: caught to the heart. Peter was broken. And he realized
[1:36:34] Speaker 1: that he was never truly following Jesus just because he
[1:36:37] Speaker 1: loved him. He was hoping that he would find a
[1:36:40] Speaker 1: place there. I advise you again, this is also true
[1:36:43] Speaker 1: for leaders. Patience is a virtue that forces deception to
[1:36:49] Speaker 1: reveal itself. Number six. Are you ready? The sixth lesson
[1:36:56] Speaker 1: that we learn from the overcomer is concerning critics and naysayers.
[1:37:01] Speaker 1: You want to hear this. Now, critics and naysayers, they
[1:37:07] Speaker 1: do two important things that is needed for you to
[1:37:11] Speaker 1: actualize destiny. Number one, critics and naysayers confirm that you.
[1:37:18] Speaker 4: Are making notable progress.
[1:37:22] Speaker 1: Critics and naysayers are a system of confirmation that you
[1:37:27] Speaker 1: are making notable progress. Show me a man that is
[1:37:32] Speaker 1: doing something worthwhile. If there are no critics and there
[1:37:36] Speaker 1: are no naysayers, you are probably wrong. Critics and naysayers
[1:37:41] Speaker 1: confirm that you are making notable progress.
[1:37:47] Speaker 4: The other angle to it is.
[1:37:49] Speaker 1: That critics and naysayers can be used to caution you
[1:37:54] Speaker 1: from decline and destruction.
[1:37:59] Speaker 4: Critics and naysayers.
[1:38:00] Speaker 1: The first part I take it again, confirm that you are.
[1:38:04] Speaker 4: Making notable progress.
[1:38:06] Speaker 1: But critics and naysayers, listen carefully, can also be used
[1:38:11] Speaker 1: by God to caution you from decline and destruction.
[1:38:22] Speaker 4: So critics walk both ways.
[1:38:25] Speaker 1: They can become a system of confirmation, helping you see
[1:38:29] Speaker 1: and know that you are making a difference. notable progress.
[1:38:32] Speaker 1: But as uncomfortable as it is... Critics and naysayers can
[1:38:37] Speaker 1: also be used.
[1:38:39] Speaker 1: As a system of caution... To save you from decline...
[1:38:45] Speaker 1: And to save you from destruction. This is where the tragedy...
[1:38:51] Speaker 1: Of only wanting supporters around you comes. And this is
[1:38:56] Speaker 1: a weakness in leaders. We usually want those who sing
[1:39:00] Speaker 1: our songs.
[1:39:01] Speaker 4: Those who sing our praises.
[1:39:03] Speaker 1: And say nice things around us.
[1:39:06] Speaker 4: Unfortunately.
[1:39:07] Speaker 1: If you are surrounded by only supporters. You may not arrive.
[1:39:12] Speaker 1: You need both the ministry of supporters. And you need
[1:39:15] Speaker 1: the ministry of critics and naysayers. This is an uncomfortable truth,
[1:39:22] Speaker 1: but it is wisdom that comes from overcomers. It is
[1:39:29] Speaker 1: not unusual to have critics and naysayers. It is because
[1:39:33] Speaker 1: you are doing something notable that has attracted their sight
[1:39:37] Speaker 1: and their attention. And they can be used as a
[1:39:40] Speaker 1: system of confirmation that you are making notable progress. But
[1:39:44] Speaker 1: there are times that in the midst of the naysayings,
[1:39:48] Speaker 1: in the midst of the criticism... Look carefully. There may
[1:39:52] Speaker 1: be a message there that can be God speaking to you.
[1:39:55] Speaker 1: You may not believe me, but time will make you
[1:39:58] Speaker 1: appreciate what I'm telling you. If you do not have
[1:40:01] Speaker 1: an open heart towards criticism, you may not arrive at
[1:40:07] Speaker 1: your destination. A man of God will say criticism is
[1:40:12] Speaker 1: an opinion harshly, harshly explained.
[1:40:22] Speaker 4: There are people who may say things.
[1:40:24] Speaker 1: In a wrong way, but the content of what they
[1:40:26] Speaker 1: are saying is worth your consideration. It's just the presentation
[1:40:31] Speaker 1: that was wrong.
[1:40:32] Speaker 4: Are we together? What betides a leader?
[1:40:35] Speaker 1: I tell you, whether you are a businessman or you
[1:40:37] Speaker 1: are a man of God, and you are surrounded by
[1:40:40] Speaker 1: only supporters.
[1:40:42] Speaker 4: Who sing your praises.
[1:40:44] Speaker 2: No.
[1:40:47] Speaker 1: There are times God will allow the ministry of critics
[1:40:50] Speaker 1: and even naysayers. It will challenge you. It will cause
[1:40:54] Speaker 1: you to look at what you are doing clearer. You
[1:40:57] Speaker 1: see that now. It helps to strengthen your conviction over
[1:41:01] Speaker 1: what you are doing. Unfortunately, because the nature of criticism.
[1:41:05] Speaker 4: Look up please.
[1:41:08] Speaker 1: If... I have hundred people who are singing my praises
[1:41:13] Speaker 1: and saying wonderful and lovely things about me. And I
[1:41:16] Speaker 1: have one person who says something negative. Usually from our
[1:41:20] Speaker 1: psychological build up. The one person, the criticism may seem
[1:41:25] Speaker 1: to overshadow all the wonderful things. This is where maturity
[1:41:30] Speaker 1: comes in. We call this in leadership emotional intelligence. The
[1:41:35] Speaker 1: ability to stand before uncomfortable situations and still be at ease.
[1:41:41] Speaker 4: Are we together? You need this. You need this.
[1:41:48] Speaker 1: Someone can look at you and say, all these people, thieves,
[1:41:50] Speaker 1: that's your car. And your tire is even about to remove.
[1:41:54] Speaker 1: Maybe the person made a mistake, but look properly. It
[1:41:57] Speaker 1: could be true. That in the midst of the naysayings.
[1:42:01] Speaker 1: Is telling you that you may have an accident. Something
[1:42:03] Speaker 1: is wrong with your tyre.
[1:42:04] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[1:42:11] Speaker 1: I know you would want me to pray that you
[1:42:12] Speaker 1: would never have critics, you would never have naysayers. You
[1:42:16] Speaker 1: are trying to say that you do not want to
[1:42:18] Speaker 1: be Jesus or Satan. Because either way, whoever you choose
[1:42:22] Speaker 1: among them, you will still have critics and you will
[1:42:25] Speaker 1: have naysayers. There are people who hate Jesus with a passion.
[1:42:29] Speaker 1: There are people like me who hate Satan with a passion.
[1:42:32] Speaker 1: Are we together? Either ways, you will never live in
[1:42:36] Speaker 1: a world where all men love you. It does not exist.
[1:42:41] Speaker 1: But if you live in a world where all men
[1:42:43] Speaker 1: hate you, something is wrong with you. It's true. All
[1:42:49] Speaker 1: men cannot hate you, ladies and gentlemen. It's a proof
[1:42:52] Speaker 1: that something is wrong. There must be someone honest and sincere.
[1:42:55] Speaker 1: This is also something for you to work on. Critics
[1:43:04] Speaker 1: and naysayers. Play these two... Sets of vital roles... Number one...
[1:43:09] Speaker 1: They can help you confirm... That you are doing something notable...
[1:43:13] Speaker 1: You see the thing about success is that... The moment
[1:43:16] Speaker 1: your result begins to speak... Usually in our world... Everything
[1:43:20] Speaker 1: becomes wrong with you... The shoes you were always wearing...
[1:43:23] Speaker 1: Now there's a problem with that shoe.
[1:43:26] Speaker 4: Are we together?
[1:43:27] Speaker 2: Yes.
[1:43:27] Speaker 4: Unfortunately.
[1:43:28] Speaker 1: It is the cross... That comes with success... And people
[1:43:32] Speaker 1: must be trained... To be at peace... We'd been controversial.
[1:43:37] Speaker 1: At peace, we'd been misunderstood. It is the cross that you.
[1:43:41] Speaker 4: Have to carry.
[1:43:47] Speaker 1: You don't like what I'm saying. Unfortunately, I'm not lying.
[1:43:51] Speaker 1: What you are hearing is the truth from the throne
[1:43:53] Speaker 1: of grace. Hallelujah. Apostle, but in my experience, everybody really
[1:43:59] Speaker 1: loves me. I think I just have this thing about
[1:44:01] Speaker 1: me that makes everybody loves me.
[1:44:03] Speaker 4: Congratulations.
[1:44:05] Speaker 1: Keep receiving prophecy about promotion and increase from me. And
[1:44:08] Speaker 1: watch what happens soon. One day you will be elevated
[1:44:11] Speaker 1: to a position where all of a sudden the person
[1:44:14] Speaker 1: who used to clap for you has a problem clapping now.
[1:44:18] Speaker 1: The success is too much. Not within this short time.
[1:44:22] Speaker 1: The car, it was you. The marriage was you. The
[1:44:25] Speaker 1: house was you. All right. You tell the person, I
[1:44:30] Speaker 1: think you need to adjust this. So it's because you
[1:44:31] Speaker 1: now bought a car.
[1:44:35] Speaker 4: It's not about good or bad.
[1:44:36] Speaker 1: It is a weakness in human nature. Are we together? Yeah.
[1:44:42] Speaker 1: The moment success becomes notable, your chances are very high
[1:44:47] Speaker 1: to be criticized. You see politicians, we talk about everybody.
[1:44:51] Speaker 1: You know, sometimes in all fairness, I know that we
[1:44:54] Speaker 1: ministers of the gospel, we receive our own too, but honestly,
[1:44:57] Speaker 1: sometimes I pity politicians. My goodness. How those guys survive
[1:45:01] Speaker 1: these things, I don't know. How do you survive walking
[1:45:05] Speaker 1: and you are hearing someone insult you and sometimes people
[1:45:08] Speaker 1: can insult you to your this, your that. And you
[1:45:11] Speaker 1: see the people just smile. Whether it was called for
[1:45:14] Speaker 1: or uncalled for. That kind of stamina is not worthy.
[1:45:17] Speaker 1: There are pastors who start and say, I'm sincere. I
[1:45:23] Speaker 1: love the Lord. I mean, what have I done? Unfortunately,
[1:45:26] Speaker 1: you don't have to do anything. You just have to
[1:45:28] Speaker 1: be alive and to make progress. Receive grace in the
[1:45:33] Speaker 1: name of Jesus. To not be wounded by critics or naysayers.
[1:45:40] Speaker 1: You can convert your pain to something that becomes a
[1:45:44] Speaker 1: springboard for your glory. Hallelujah. When people criticize you, look
[1:45:51] Speaker 1: open-heartedly into what they are saying. If you find out
[1:45:55] Speaker 1: on careful examination that it is nonsense, ignore it and
[1:45:59] Speaker 1: move on. But when you find out that there is
[1:46:01] Speaker 1: something there for you to adjust with your life, with
[1:46:04] Speaker 1: your organization, take advantage of it.
[1:46:07] Speaker 4: It doesn't matter how it came.
[1:46:09] Speaker 1: The most important thing is that the truth got.
[1:46:11] Speaker 4: To you and you become better by receiving it.
[1:46:15] Speaker 1: This is painful, but please receive it because it will
[1:46:18] Speaker 1: make you a champion. When you look at any throne
[1:46:21] Speaker 1: and you see an overcomer sitting there, he used the
[1:46:24] Speaker 1: ladder of supporters and the ladder of critics and naysayers.
[1:46:30] Speaker 1: All together, he used them to climb to that elevated position.
[1:46:35] Speaker 1: May you have the strength to forbear. Even when people
[1:46:39] Speaker 1: misunderstand you. May you have the stamina to remain and
[1:46:42] Speaker 1: to continue. And not lose sleep. In the name of Jesus.
[1:46:46] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[1:46:49] Speaker 1: Praise the name of the Lord. I once had a
[1:46:52] Speaker 1: man of God who said he was being criticized so badly,
[1:46:56] Speaker 1: he felt so bad, and then he flew out of
[1:46:58] Speaker 1: this nation to go and meet one of the fathers
[1:47:01] Speaker 1: of faith. And he was talking to him and he said, sir,
[1:47:03] Speaker 1: I mean, how could I? I love my people with
[1:47:05] Speaker 1: all my heart. I've been serving them with integrity of heart.
[1:47:08] Speaker 1: How could they say this about me? And he said,
[1:47:11] Speaker 1: according to him, he said the father of faith was
[1:47:12] Speaker 1: just smiling at him. And when he was done, the
[1:47:15] Speaker 1: only thing he told him was that, sit down, let
[1:47:17] Speaker 1: me tell you my story. He had only gone halfway
[1:47:20] Speaker 1: the story and the man said, that's all right. I've
[1:47:22] Speaker 1: received my motivation. If what happened to you, you are
[1:47:25] Speaker 1: still standing, you mean you went through this kind of thing?
[1:47:29] Speaker 1: It is true that on easy lies the head that
[1:47:31] Speaker 1: wears the crown. Don't desire realms you are not prepared for. Honestly,
[1:47:35] Speaker 1: there are times you need to thank God for what
[1:47:37] Speaker 1: you call delay. Because the forces that are waiting for
[1:47:41] Speaker 1: you there, if you are not built, you will hate the.
[1:47:43] Speaker 4: Throne because of what happens there.
[1:47:51] Speaker 1: Are we together? Critics and naysayers confirm that you are.
[1:47:56] Speaker 4: Making notable progress in life.
[1:47:58] Speaker 1: But they can also be used to caution you from
[1:48:04] Speaker 1: decline and to caution you from destruction. I repeat one
[1:48:08] Speaker 1: last time.
[1:48:09] Speaker 4: You will need both.
[1:48:10] Speaker 1: Supporters and critics. Unfortunately, you don't have to invite any
[1:48:18] Speaker 1: of them. They come on their own. This is what
[1:48:22] Speaker 1: makes it painful. No sane man will invite naysayers to
[1:48:26] Speaker 1: their lives. The system was designed to bring both. So
[1:48:31] Speaker 1: on one hand, they are calling you king of kings
[1:48:33] Speaker 1: while they are eating the bread that was multiplied. Then
[1:48:36] Speaker 1: they A few weeks later, they curse you to your
[1:48:39] Speaker 1: face and say, release Barabbas instead of this one. Let
[1:48:43] Speaker 1: his blood be on our children. And Jesus was silent
[1:48:46] Speaker 1: and he looked at them with compassion. He even said, Father,
[1:48:50] Speaker 1: forgive them for they know not what they do. Is
[1:48:55] Speaker 1: someone learning? By this teaching, when you see anyone who
[1:48:59] Speaker 1: you perceive to be an overcomer, now you can respect them.
[1:49:03] Speaker 1: These are the keys. Painful keys you see. Painful keys.
[1:49:09] Speaker 1: So when you look at fathers of faith. Like our
[1:49:12] Speaker 1: father in the Lord. You imagine at 81. Turning 82.
[1:49:20] Speaker 1: That's how old he has been criticized. That's how old
[1:49:24] Speaker 1: he may have been misunderstood. But that man you see
[1:49:27] Speaker 1: right there. Is a testament of endurance. Our father who
[1:49:32] Speaker 1: comes here. All the time you see him, he's turning
[1:49:35] Speaker 1: 85 now. 85 years old. There are people who cannot
[1:49:42] Speaker 1: survive two months in an organization. They pray and they
[1:49:45] Speaker 1: fast for that position. They become a director and in
[1:49:48] Speaker 1: two weeks, they have 39 meals full of insults.
[1:49:51] Speaker 4: They say, I want to leave this office. What is this?
[1:49:54] Speaker 1: Yet someone was sitting there for 16 years and thanking
[1:49:57] Speaker 1: God every Sunday. Ha. One of the ways God helps
[1:50:03] Speaker 1: you is by giving you your desires.
[1:50:05] Speaker 4: If you insist, he will give you.
[1:50:08] Speaker 1: Lord, I must become a senator. What is there in
[1:50:11] Speaker 1: taking care of a constituency? I know I can do it.
[1:50:14] Speaker 1: And God says, be careful. I know all these people,
[1:50:17] Speaker 1: they are just thieves and armed robbers. And God answers
[1:50:20] Speaker 1: your prayer by helping you to win election. As soon
[1:50:23] Speaker 1: as you get there, you discover that the amount of
[1:50:26] Speaker 1: insults you get from those who are entitled alone. You
[1:50:29] Speaker 1: want to leave that office. Have you noticed all those
[1:50:31] Speaker 1: who become presidents.
[1:50:32] Speaker 4: They live quietly?
[1:50:34] Speaker 1: Have you noticed in Nigeria and across the globe? There
[1:50:37] Speaker 1: is nobody. Who leaves that place just rejoicing and saying, quietly. Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
[1:50:53] Speaker 1: Have you seen many who work in certain organizations? By
[1:50:58] Speaker 1: the time they are about to retire, they are quiet.
[1:51:01] Speaker 1: They give thanks to God. Those who are waiting for
[1:51:04] Speaker 1: that position, the people are not even fighting. No problem.
[1:51:07] Speaker 4: Just allow me to retire and go.
[1:51:08] Speaker 1: And then the person who gets in there, he gets
[1:51:11] Speaker 1: in there with zeal.
[1:51:12] Speaker 4: Don't worry.
[1:51:13] Speaker 1: In 10 days, I will transform this organization. And after
[1:51:16] Speaker 1: two years, they look for every man of God they
[1:51:19] Speaker 1: can find. Something must be going wrong. Nothing is wrong.
[1:51:22] Speaker 1: That's how it is. That's how it is. That's how
[1:51:27] Speaker 1: it is. Lord, you must give me triplets. I don't
[1:51:31] Speaker 1: want just a child. And someone said, don't worry. I
[1:51:34] Speaker 1: want triplets. And God says, all right, answer her prayer.
[1:51:37] Speaker 1: Then the triplets come. And you don't know what to
[1:51:39] Speaker 1: do with yourself after two months. You call all your
[1:51:45] Speaker 1: friends and say, sorry, we are busy. And they say,
[1:51:48] Speaker 1: you are wicked. We say, no, no, no.
[1:51:49] Speaker 4: Just do your thing. It's your cross.
[1:51:51] Speaker 1: Carry it. I once listened to a message years ago.
[1:51:55] Speaker 4: I think it's by T.D. Jakes or so.
[1:51:57] Speaker 1: Can you stand to be blessed? Very powerful message. It
[1:52:01] Speaker 1: takes stamina to sustain the blessing. Many people are praying
[1:52:06] Speaker 1: for what is bigger than them.
[1:52:08] Speaker 4: There are things you call delay.
[1:52:10] Speaker 1: But it's the mercy of God to prepare you first
[1:52:12] Speaker 1: so that what you are praying for does not become
[1:52:14] Speaker 1: what kills you. Number six. Coin on here for you.
[1:52:27] Speaker 1: Number what? Seven. Are you ready? Ah, this one you
[1:52:33] Speaker 1: need to listen to it. In the name of Jesus Christ.
[1:52:37] Speaker 1: There are three groups of people you must be aware of.
[1:52:42] Speaker 1: It requires great wisdom to deal with these people. Please,
[1:52:46] Speaker 1: I want you to write this and learn. Lessons from
[1:52:51] Speaker 1: an overcomer. These are destiny defining principles. There are three
[1:52:57] Speaker 1: groups of people. You will always find around your life,
[1:53:02] Speaker 1: it will take a lot of wisdom and discretion to
[1:53:06] Speaker 1: deal with them. Otherwise, you will never arrive at the
[1:53:08] Speaker 1: place of destiny. Are you ready? Number one, wicked people.
[1:53:15] Speaker 1: Don't worry, you're just right. Trust me. Are you ready?
[1:53:22] Speaker 4: Let's talk about wicked people. Unfortunately.
[1:53:25] Speaker 1: You may not be able to drive them indefinitely from
[1:53:27] Speaker 1: your life. You will find them in your neighborhood. You
[1:53:29] Speaker 1: will find them around your organization. And sometimes as painful
[1:53:34] Speaker 1: as it is, they will.
[1:53:35] Speaker 4: Be too useful to be thrown away completely. Wicked people.
[1:53:39] Speaker 1: I want to teach you something that you will be
[1:53:40] Speaker 1: grateful for. Proverbs chapter 6 and verse 18. There are
[1:53:47] Speaker 1: three groups of people. This is a lesson coming from
[1:53:50] Speaker 1: an overcomer. A heart... That devised wicked imaginations. Part of
[1:53:57] Speaker 1: the six things that the Lord hates. A feat that
[1:54:00] Speaker 1: be swift in running to mischief. Let's read Proverbs chapter
[1:54:06] Speaker 1: 4 please. From verse 14 to 17. Wisdom is coming
[1:54:10] Speaker 1: from someone now. In the name of Jesus. It says,
[1:54:15] Speaker 1: enter not into the path of the wicked and go
[1:54:19] Speaker 1: not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, it says.
[1:54:23] Speaker 1: Pass not by it. Turn from it and pass away.
[1:54:27] Speaker 4: 16.
[1:54:29] Speaker 1: The Bible says, for they sleep not except they have
[1:54:34] Speaker 1: done mischief. And their sleep is taken away until they
[1:54:38] Speaker 1: cause someone to fall. Verse 17. For they eat the
[1:54:43] Speaker 1: bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. There
[1:54:47] Speaker 1: are people like that on earth. Believe me, I'm not
[1:54:51] Speaker 1: just trying to be negative. There are people who have
[1:54:54] Speaker 1: chosen to partner with the devil to be wicked. An
[1:54:58] Speaker 1: evil heart it is called. There are wicked people in
[1:55:07] Speaker 1: our world. There are wicked people around your organization. There
[1:55:12] Speaker 1: are wicked people in church. There are wicked people in society.
[1:55:17] Speaker 1: It is not within your power to drive them away.
[1:55:21] Speaker 1: You have to sustain the wisdom to need them. Some
[1:55:25] Speaker 1: of those wicked people are your superiors for now.
[1:55:28] Speaker 4: You must learn to work with them.
[1:55:30] Speaker 1: Some of those wicked people, they come in various forms.
[1:55:34] Speaker 1: Believers must be educated to know how to deal with
[1:55:38] Speaker 1: wicked people. Number two. The second of the three groups
[1:55:43] Speaker 1: of people you must be aware of if you want
[1:55:45] Speaker 1: to enjoy the life of an overcomer is selfish people.
[1:55:54] Speaker 1: I will tell you the difference shortly, but please write.
[1:55:56] Speaker 1: Number one, wicked people. Number two, selfish people.
[1:56:01] Speaker 4: Who are they?
[1:56:02] Speaker 1: Who are these groups of people called selfish? Now please
[1:56:05] Speaker 1: watch this. Selfish people are not necessarily evil people. They
[1:56:10] Speaker 1: are just people who are indifferent about your state, provided
[1:56:14] Speaker 1: they get what they are looking for. The character of
[1:56:18] Speaker 1: selfishness is that it does not mind who is wounded
[1:56:21] Speaker 1: in the process. The most important thing for a selfish
[1:56:24] Speaker 1: person is obtaining your desire. It does not matter who dies.
[1:56:29] Speaker 1: It does not matter who cries. It does not matter
[1:56:32] Speaker 1: who is in pain. A selfish person does not see anything.
[1:56:36] Speaker 4: At their side.
[1:56:37] Speaker 1: All they see is what they desire. They want it
[1:56:40] Speaker 1: so bad. It does not matter who dies. They will
[1:56:43] Speaker 1: betray family for it. They want it so bad. They
[1:56:46] Speaker 1: will do anything provided it ends with them achieving it.
[1:56:53] Speaker 1: Are we together now? A selfish person has no business
[1:56:57] Speaker 1: harming you if there is nothing that becomes a point
[1:57:00] Speaker 1: of conflict between both of you. You may even look
[1:57:03] Speaker 1: like an ally for a while. Unfortunately, You will find
[1:57:08] Speaker 1: these people everywhere. And I'm hoping, I'm praying with all
[1:57:11] Speaker 1: my heart that you are not one of those people.
[1:57:16] Speaker 1: Number three. Are you ready for the third? Ignorant slash
[1:57:23] Speaker 1: naive people. Write it down and I'll explain. Ignorant slash
[1:57:29] Speaker 1: naive people. Naive is spelled N-A-I-V-E. Naive people. What does
[1:57:34] Speaker 1: it mean to be naive?
[1:57:35] Speaker 2: Naive.
[1:57:36] Speaker 1: To show lack of consciousness, to show lack of experience.
[1:57:41] Speaker 1: Are we together? To show lack of wisdom, lack of maturity,
[1:57:45] Speaker 1: lack of judgment. There are people who are void of
[1:57:49] Speaker 1: that level of maturity. They are called naive. A naive
[1:57:53] Speaker 1: person is like a notebook that nothing has been written on.
[1:57:57] Speaker 1: That's what makes them dangerous. Because they become whatever is
[1:58:01] Speaker 1: suddenly written there. The easiest people to deceive are not
[1:58:05] Speaker 1: wicked people. They are the deceivers themselves. They are not
[1:58:08] Speaker 1: selfish people. But naive people Now let me tell you
[1:58:12] Speaker 1: this When Satan wants to destroy you The greatest tool
[1:58:17] Speaker 1: he needs Is a wicked person If he cannot find
[1:58:21] Speaker 1: a wicked person, he will make do with a selfish person.
[1:58:25] Speaker 1: If he cannot find a selfish person, he will make
[1:58:28] Speaker 1: do with a naive person. All three can cause the
[1:58:32] Speaker 1: same harm to your life. The difference is that a
[1:58:36] Speaker 1: wicked person does his wickedness from a premeditated standpoint. So
[1:58:42] Speaker 1: before and after your pain they are happy. It was
[1:58:45] Speaker 1: the plan. A selfish person like Judas is focused on
[1:58:49] Speaker 1: making money out of Jesus. Not with the intention for
[1:58:52] Speaker 1: Jesus to die. Usually when the harm is done and
[1:58:56] Speaker 1: what they are looking for they now have. Then they
[1:58:59] Speaker 1: have the conscience to regret. And they say but I
[1:59:02] Speaker 1: didn't want it to go this far. Have you heard
[1:59:04] Speaker 1: of people who beat someone till the person died? And
[1:59:07] Speaker 1: when they are in police custody, they will tell you
[1:59:09] Speaker 1: the plan was not to kill the person. I arranged
[1:59:14] Speaker 1: the kidnap of the person so that.
[1:59:16] Speaker 4: I would get 10 million.
[1:59:18] Speaker 1: I didn't plan that the person will die. Wicked people,
[1:59:27] Speaker 1: selfish people, ignorant or naive people can be tools That
[1:59:33] Speaker 1: can become a disaster to your life. Except and unless
[1:59:37] Speaker 1: you sustain the wisdom to live with them. Unfortunately for
[1:59:42] Speaker 1: the rest of your life. You will be immersed in
[1:59:45] Speaker 1: the midst of these kinds of people.
[1:59:48] Speaker 4: Every day.
[1:59:49] Speaker 1: Including tomorrow. Including forever. You would think that because Jesus
[1:59:56] Speaker 1: was the son of the living God. He would not
[1:59:58] Speaker 1: have these kinds of people around him. They were among
[2:00:01] Speaker 1: his disciples. Unfortunately. They were among the scribes and the Pharisees.
[2:00:06] Speaker 1: They were among the members of his congregation. They were
[2:00:10] Speaker 1: among the onlookers. And for the rest of his life
[2:00:14] Speaker 1: on earth. Jesus. Your Jesus.
[2:00:16] Speaker 4: My Jesus.
[2:00:17] Speaker 1: As the word of God. The word God incarnate. He
[2:00:22] Speaker 1: lived in the midst of these people. Do you know.
[2:00:26] Speaker 1: All these three people, I don't have the time to
[2:00:28] Speaker 1: show you. I would have shown you that all these
[2:00:30] Speaker 1: three people played a role together and made the death
[2:00:33] Speaker 1: of Jesus possible. Even though we know now that it
[2:00:36] Speaker 1: was the hidden wisdom of God.
[2:00:38] Speaker 4: But these three groups of people.
[2:00:41] Speaker 1: The naive people who said crucify him, let his blood
[2:00:45] Speaker 1: be upon our heads. The scribes and the Pharisees who
[2:00:48] Speaker 1: plotted it intentionally. And Judas who wanted to make money
[2:00:54] Speaker 1: out of Jesus, not to destroy him. Ladies and gentlemen,
[2:01:00] Speaker 1: please hear me. If you do not sustain the wisdom
[2:01:05] Speaker 1: to walk with these people, you will get into trouble. Hallelujah.
[2:01:11] Speaker 1: Especially naive people. I hope you know that the first
[2:01:14] Speaker 1: fall was because of this. The woman you call Eve.
[2:01:20] Speaker 1: Eve did not fall because she was a wicked woman.
[2:01:22] Speaker 2: No.
[2:01:23] Speaker 1: She was beguiled. I think it's 2 Corinthians 11 and
[2:01:27] Speaker 1: verse 3.
[2:01:28] Speaker 4: Did I get that right? Please give it to us.
[2:01:30] Speaker 1: But I fear, that's right, less by any means as
[2:01:34] Speaker 1: the serpent beguiled Eve through subtlety.
[2:01:38] Speaker 4: You see that now?
[2:01:39] Speaker 1: So your mind should be corrupted by the simplicity that
[2:01:43] Speaker 1: is in Christ. Satan comes to a naive woman and begins.
[2:01:48] Speaker 4: To sell a narrative and sell an idea.
[2:01:50] Speaker 1: How many good people have been turned into wicked people
[2:01:54] Speaker 1: because they were so naive? It is the reason why
[2:01:59] Speaker 1: believers must be trained and be mentored. There are people
[2:02:02] Speaker 1: today who have been made to steal. They are not thieves.
[2:02:05] Speaker 1: They were just naive. There are many young boys today
[2:02:08] Speaker 1: that have been made to join terrorist groups. By the
[2:02:11] Speaker 1: time they catch these boys, some of them are barely
[2:02:14] Speaker 1: teenagers in their early adulthood. And you would find out
[2:02:18] Speaker 1: they were just indoctrinated with extremist views. They were not
[2:02:22] Speaker 1: wicked people by default. They were not selfish people by default.
[2:02:26] Speaker 1: They were just naive, uneducated, inexposed people who became victims
[2:02:31] Speaker 1: of the desire and the plan of others. I'm praying
[2:02:34] Speaker 1: for you. Whatever will make you a prey in the
[2:02:37] Speaker 1: hand of Satan and in the hand of wicked men.
[2:02:41] Speaker 4: I'm praying in the name of Jesus.
[2:02:43] Speaker 1: May God not allow that thing come around your life.
[2:02:50] Speaker 1: Tonight's message may not apply to everybody. There are people
[2:02:54] Speaker 1: who are too innocent to benefit from this message. They
[2:02:57] Speaker 1: have not grown enough to see the value of this message.
[2:03:00] Speaker 1: There are teachings that you need to archive. You may
[2:03:03] Speaker 1: not understand the implication until you rise beyond certain levels.
[2:03:07] Speaker 4: Then you will rush and look at that message.
[2:03:09] Speaker 1: There are those who this is a description of the
[2:03:12] Speaker 1: season that they found themselves in.
[2:03:14] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[2:03:17] Speaker 1: Hallelujah.
[2:03:21] Speaker 4: Three groups of people.
[2:03:23] Speaker 1: This one, it was a direct teaching that the Holy
[2:03:26] Speaker 1: Spirit taught me. I did not read it in any book.
[2:03:29] Speaker 1: These three groups of people. As much as possible, you
[2:03:35] Speaker 1: keep praying and sanitizing your environment, but you have to
[2:03:38] Speaker 1: get used to it. The cosmos is filled with a
[2:03:41] Speaker 1: mixed multitude. Believers are just a portion of those on earth.
[2:03:45] Speaker 1: Did the Bible not tell you not all men have faith?
[2:03:48] Speaker 1: That means don't expect everybody to say, God bless you.
[2:03:51] Speaker 1: You'll find God bless you in church, but you'll not
[2:03:54] Speaker 1: find God bless you everywhere. There are people who honor
[2:03:57] Speaker 1: you and say, Apostle, God bless you. But there are
[2:04:00] Speaker 1: other people who are vicious and wicked. There are others
[2:04:05] Speaker 1: who are selfish. Unfortunately, this selfishness has spilled even to spouses,
[2:04:12] Speaker 1: spilled into leaders. There are people who will not mind
[2:04:16] Speaker 1: their entire families go down with all due respect, provided
[2:04:20] Speaker 1: they go forward. There are parents who will not mind
[2:04:23] Speaker 1: their children becoming prostitutes, provided they return with money for
[2:04:27] Speaker 1: them to eat. The Lord will show us mercy in
[2:04:33] Speaker 1: Jesus' name. Can I still give you one more? I
[2:04:51] Speaker 1: will not forget, Lord, your benefits. I will not forget, Lord.
[2:05:03] Speaker 4: Your benefits.
[2:05:07] Speaker 1: I will never forget, Lord. I'm reminded, I just raised
[2:05:16] Speaker 1: that song because of a story that I heard, a
[2:05:18] Speaker 1: true story of a woman who arranged a kidnap of
[2:05:23] Speaker 1: one of her loved ones by herself. Arranged that kidnap.
[2:05:31] Speaker 1: I was joining all the people to cry too. How
[2:05:37] Speaker 1: many young boys today talk to armed robbers and say,
[2:05:41] Speaker 1: my father has money in this other room, the second one.
[2:05:45] Speaker 1: And when the armed robbers come, plus the boy, they
[2:05:47] Speaker 1: tell him to lie down too.
[2:05:48] Speaker 4: And he will lie down and you will think he's innocent.
[2:05:51] Speaker 1: By the time they carry the money is when the
[2:05:54] Speaker 1: sharing formula goes wrong.
[2:05:56] Speaker 4: Usually that's where people just scatter everything.
[2:05:58] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[2:06:02] Speaker 1: I'm praying for you, making reference to my teaching, the
[2:06:05] Speaker 1: seeing eyes.
[2:06:07] Speaker 4: Anybody who you have drawn to your.
[2:06:09] Speaker 1: Life and is holding a sword you cannot see on
[2:06:12] Speaker 1: your neck, I'm crying unto my God tonight. May God
[2:06:16] Speaker 1: open your eyes to see this night. May God open
[2:06:20] Speaker 1: your eyes to see this night.
[2:06:24] Speaker 2: Listen.
[2:06:26] Speaker 1: In this world, if God does not show you mercy,
[2:06:29] Speaker 1: you will be helping to hold the knife that will
[2:06:32] Speaker 1: kill you and not know. I'm not planting fear. This
[2:06:38] Speaker 1: is wisdom.
[2:06:39] Speaker 4: This is how life works.
[2:06:42] Speaker 1: Whenever you see an overcomer, There are men.
[2:06:45] Speaker 4: Who know this.
[2:06:47] Speaker 1: That among all the people who say apostles are. Yes sir.
[2:06:51] Speaker 1: Yes ma. Your majesty. You are the greatest man of
[2:06:54] Speaker 1: God in the world. Among those mixed multitudes. You must
[2:06:58] Speaker 1: have the intelligence to discern. That there are wicked people.
[2:07:03] Speaker 1: There are selfish people. There are naive people. But like
[2:07:14] Speaker 1: I taught you when I taught you on Destiny Helpers,
[2:07:16] Speaker 1: I'm happy to also announce to you that there are
[2:07:19] Speaker 1: sincere people. Do not think everyone is out to destroy you.
[2:07:24] Speaker 2: No.
[2:07:26] Speaker 1: Don't allow your pain stop you from knowing that there
[2:07:29] Speaker 1: are sincere people. Don't throw the baby under bad water.
[2:07:32] Speaker 1: I need to balance this before we get to the
[2:07:34] Speaker 1: last point. There are sincere people. I pray you become
[2:07:38] Speaker 1: one of them. That you become a breath of fresh
[2:07:41] Speaker 1: air to someone. And that the person will say from
[2:07:44] Speaker 1: the day.
[2:07:45] Speaker 4: You came into my life. You healed me from the
[2:07:48] Speaker 4: pain of 20 years.
[2:07:50] Speaker 1: I never believed that there would be Christians who could
[2:07:52] Speaker 1: be sincere. But thank God for the gift of you.
[2:07:55] Speaker 1: I'm praying again. For someone who came to church saying God.
[2:07:59] Speaker 1: please bring a good friend to my life. I'm tired
[2:08:02] Speaker 1: of people piercing me. I've spent my life with injuries
[2:08:06] Speaker 1: from betrayals. May my God, who is also your God,
[2:08:10] Speaker 1: send sincere people to you. Can I tell you, sincere
[2:08:17] Speaker 1: people have a therapeutic effect. When you find godly and
[2:08:22] Speaker 1: sincere people, you can sleep with your eyes closed. And
[2:08:26] Speaker 1: the thing about life and about God is one sincere
[2:08:30] Speaker 1: person can bring the healing. The healing that hundred people
[2:08:35] Speaker 1: may have caused for you. There are sincere people. Burn
[2:08:39] Speaker 1: this at the back of your mind. Probably you are
[2:08:41] Speaker 1: seated next to one. There are sincere people. Don't draw
[2:08:45] Speaker 1: a conclusion from your years of pain and betrayal, from
[2:08:48] Speaker 1: your years of whatever. Oh, they cheated me in business. Oh,
[2:08:51] Speaker 1: church people are terrible. All pastors are demons. No!
[2:08:56] Speaker 4: Don't conclude like that.
[2:08:58] Speaker 1: There are still sincere people. There are still sincere people.
[2:09:03] Speaker 1: This is a prophetic message for someone.
[2:09:05] Speaker 4: Are there still good men?
[2:09:06] Speaker 1: Yes.
[2:09:07] Speaker 4: Are there still good women?
[2:09:09] Speaker 2: Yes.
[2:09:09] Speaker 1: Are there still good parents? Yes.
[2:09:12] Speaker 4: Are there still good politicians? Yes.
[2:09:15] Speaker 1: Are there still good leaders? Yes. Are there still good
[2:09:18] Speaker 1: men of God? Yes. Are there still sincere Christians? Yes.
[2:09:24] Speaker 1: If you are not part of that sincere army, there
[2:09:26] Speaker 1: is room for you to join. But do not conclude
[2:09:30] Speaker 1: that all men are evil.
[2:09:32] Speaker 4: You may be wrong. There are evil men.
[2:09:35] Speaker 1: There are selfish men. There are naive men. But my goodness,
[2:09:40] Speaker 1: there are men who are called gifts when they come
[2:09:42] Speaker 1: into your life in a moment. Believe me when I
[2:09:47] Speaker 1: tell you this. This ministry, Koinonia, you see, has enjoyed
[2:09:52] Speaker 1: the ministry of such men. There are a few of
[2:09:55] Speaker 1: these men God has brought in my own life. Truly,
[2:09:58] Speaker 1: you can call them consolations by God. And Adam had children.
[2:10:07] Speaker 1: He knew his wife. He had Cain and Abel. What
[2:10:10] Speaker 1: did Abel do for Cain to kill him? Cain killed
[2:10:14] Speaker 1: Abel and was arguing with God. You can imagine the
[2:10:18] Speaker 1: pain of that loss in the heart of Eve. But
[2:10:20] Speaker 1: then the Bible says it beautifully. And Adam knew his
[2:10:23] Speaker 1: wife again. And she bore Seth. And the Bible says
[2:10:29] Speaker 1: men began to call upon the name of the Lord.
[2:10:32] Speaker 1: I'm praying for you one more time. Maybe to a
[2:10:34] Speaker 1: preacher who has been badly wounded, betrayed by the people
[2:10:39] Speaker 1: around you. Maybe some parents, you have trusted people and
[2:10:43] Speaker 1: they went to your back and caused you pain. Your
[2:10:46] Speaker 1: heart is bleeding right now. You've lost money. You've lost trust.
[2:10:50] Speaker 1: You shared secrets about your life with people. And they
[2:10:54] Speaker 1: made a shipwreck of your destiny as a consolation. May
[2:10:58] Speaker 1: my God send true gifts to your life. May my
[2:11:02] Speaker 1: God send good people to your ministry. To your business.
[2:11:07] Speaker 1: To your organization. In the name of Jesus Christ. Number eight.
[2:11:17] Speaker 1: Lessons learned. From an overcomer. The eighth. And final destiny
[2:11:24] Speaker 1: defining principle. That I want you to learn tonight. Is this.
[2:11:30] Speaker 1: Define the most important things in your life.
[2:11:34] Speaker 4: Not everything. Is worth dying for. Define. The most important.
[2:11:41] Speaker 1: Things in your life. And I will guide you. Not everything.
[2:11:45] Speaker 1: Is worth dying for. Please.
[2:11:47] Speaker 2: Please.
[2:11:49] Speaker 1: Don't kill yourself unnecessarily. There are things that are not
[2:11:53] Speaker 1: worth dying for.
[2:11:56] Speaker 4: Eighth principle.
[2:11:59] Speaker 1: Define the most important things in your life. Not everything
[2:12:06] Speaker 1: is worth dying for. There are people who have died today.
[2:12:11] Speaker 1: If they have the opportunity to come back, they will
[2:12:14] Speaker 1: smack themselves at the cheek and say it was not
[2:12:17] Speaker 1: worth it. I can tell you, everything in life does
[2:12:21] Speaker 1: not hold equal value. You will never rise to the
[2:12:26] Speaker 1: state of an overcomer. And you would have wasted the
[2:12:29] Speaker 1: lesson from your discussion with an overcomer if you do
[2:12:33] Speaker 1: not know this. All great people. All champions. In the spirit.
[2:12:39] Speaker 4: In ministry.
[2:12:40] Speaker 1: In organizations and in life.
[2:12:42] Speaker 4: They know.
[2:12:43] Speaker 1: Some of them have learned from their many years of pain.
[2:12:46] Speaker 1: That not everything in life is worth dying for. I
[2:12:51] Speaker 1: have studied the subject of fulfillment myself. And I have
[2:12:55] Speaker 1: taught you a few teachings around fulfillment. I refer you
[2:12:59] Speaker 1: to two of my teachings.
[2:13:00] Speaker 2: One.
[2:13:00] Speaker 4: What seekest thou? Number two.
[2:13:03] Speaker 1: The law of seasons. But in my study in the
[2:13:08] Speaker 1: subject of success and fulfillment, I found out at the
[2:13:12] Speaker 1: end of my study and gleaning from the wisdom of
[2:13:15] Speaker 1: fathers and champions indeed, that there are only three things
[2:13:21] Speaker 1: that are worth dying for. The most important thing in
[2:13:24] Speaker 1: your life is defined as what you can die for,
[2:13:27] Speaker 1: not what you are living for. The most important things
[2:13:32] Speaker 1: in your life are defined. Not just because you are
[2:13:36] Speaker 1: living for them. But that you can die for them.
[2:13:39] Speaker 1: Anything you cannot die for is not that important. Don't
[2:13:43] Speaker 1: let it give you heart attack. There are people today
[2:13:46] Speaker 1: carrying self-inflicted health concerns. Because they have put themselves in
[2:13:55] Speaker 1: positions where... They have not defined the most important things.
[2:14:04] Speaker 1: Can I share with you my perspective about the three
[2:14:10] Speaker 1: most important things.
[2:14:11] Speaker 4: In your life?
[2:14:12] Speaker 1: Number one, your relationship with Jesus. This is the first
[2:14:16] Speaker 1: thing that is worth dying for. Not just living for.
[2:14:20] Speaker 1: It is worth dying for. If you can only live
[2:14:22] Speaker 1: for Jesus, you are not serious. Genuine love is demonstrated
[2:14:29] Speaker 1: in the ability to both live and if need be,
[2:14:33] Speaker 1: die for a cause. Your relationship with Jesus, Mark chapter 8,
[2:14:40] Speaker 1: 35 to 37. At the center of it all, it's
[2:14:47] Speaker 1: you that I see. It's you that I see. At
[2:14:58] Speaker 1: the center of it all.
[2:15:01] Speaker 5: It's you that I see. It's you that I see.
[2:15:08] Speaker 1: Give us that scripture. Mark 8.35. For whatsoever. Whosoever will
[2:15:16] Speaker 1: save his life. Is that in your Bible? He shall
[2:15:19] Speaker 1: lose it. But whatsoever shall lose. Whosoever shall lose his
[2:15:24] Speaker 1: life for my sake. And the gospels. The same shall
[2:15:28] Speaker 1: save it. Reading 237. For what shall it profit a man,
[2:15:32] Speaker 1: the Bible says, if he shall gain the whole world
[2:15:35] Speaker 1: and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man
[2:15:40] Speaker 1: give in exchange for his soul? Ladies and gentlemen, your
[2:15:46] Speaker 1: relationship with Jesus is the guarantee of your eternal destiny.
[2:15:51] Speaker 1: It should be the most important thing in your life.
[2:15:54] Speaker 1: It's not a preacher's manipulation. No. No. No. I don't
[2:16:01] Speaker 1: care what you have. I don't care what you dwell in.
[2:16:05] Speaker 1: If Jesus is not at the epicenter of your life,
[2:16:09] Speaker 1: you have not defined your priorities right. Number two. What
[2:16:14] Speaker 1: is the second thing worth dying for? Your family. Both
[2:16:18] Speaker 1: biological and spiritual.
[2:16:22] Speaker 4: Family is worth dying for.
[2:16:24] Speaker 1: When Job lost everything in his life, the only thing
[2:16:28] Speaker 1: that was left was family. Business could not stand the
[2:16:32] Speaker 1: test of time. Reputation could not stand the test of time. Assets,
[2:16:38] Speaker 1: as we call them, could not stand the test of time.
[2:16:42] Speaker 1: At the end of his life, only one woman stood
[2:16:46] Speaker 1: by his side. And even that woman stood there in
[2:16:49] Speaker 1: her pain and she said, why do you hold on
[2:16:52] Speaker 1: to your integrity? Job, you're my husband, but curse God
[2:16:57] Speaker 1: and die.
[2:16:58] Speaker 4: But at least she stood by him.
[2:17:00] Speaker 1: Can I tell you, respect those who can see all
[2:17:04] Speaker 1: your limitations and still love you for who you are.
[2:17:08] Speaker 1: Not everybody has that patience. If you do not respect
[2:17:12] Speaker 1: those who have seen the good, the bad and the
[2:17:14] Speaker 1: ugly and still love you the way you are, you
[2:17:17] Speaker 1: are making a big mistake. Worth dying for? Jesus and
[2:17:24] Speaker 1: the gospel. Worth dying for?
[2:17:27] Speaker 2: Family.
[2:17:28] Speaker 1: Family. Now, I know that a lot of people say
[2:17:31] Speaker 1: all kinds of things about church. And they are largely right. Oh,
[2:17:35] Speaker 1: church is full of hypocrites. Church is full of this.
[2:17:37] Speaker 1: But can I tell you, the safest place you can
[2:17:40] Speaker 1: ever be spiritually is the house of God. In the
[2:17:44] Speaker 1: midst of all of all these stories here and there,
[2:17:48] Speaker 1: you will still find people... who love you in church
[2:17:51] Speaker 1: you will still find those who will cry with you
[2:17:53] Speaker 1: in church if you think i'm joking lose a loved
[2:17:58] Speaker 1: one or let something happen and that's when you will
[2:18:00] Speaker 1: know that many people are selfish It is in church
[2:18:03] Speaker 1: you will find someone who does not know you, but
[2:18:06] Speaker 1: just seeing you cry can come to you and say,
[2:18:08] Speaker 1: what is the matter? Can I help you? Don't get
[2:18:11] Speaker 1: used to wicked people and think everyone is wicked.
[2:18:15] Speaker 4: In church, there are good people. There are all kinds
[2:18:18] Speaker 4: of vessels.
[2:18:19] Speaker 1: Vessels of clay, vessels of wood, vessels of silver, and
[2:18:24] Speaker 1: vessels of gold. Many years ago, I made a commitment
[2:18:29] Speaker 1: with my life that aside being a man of God,
[2:18:33] Speaker 1: One of my greatest goals in life is to be
[2:18:35] Speaker 1: a shoulder for as many wounded people. Beyond being a
[2:18:40] Speaker 1: man of God, my greatest testimony is not just that
[2:18:44] Speaker 1: I was or I am a great man of God,
[2:18:47] Speaker 1: but that someone, I'm not called to solve everybody's problem,
[2:18:50] Speaker 1: but the much that I can do, not little, the
[2:18:54] Speaker 1: much that I can do, if I can use my
[2:18:57] Speaker 1: life to wipe somebody's tears... It may not be the best,
[2:19:01] Speaker 1: but it was not the worst. You see, we are
[2:19:03] Speaker 1: not called to do everything. When it has to do
[2:19:06] Speaker 1: with being there for people, you don't need ordination. You
[2:19:10] Speaker 1: don't need education. You just need a good heart. There
[2:19:13] Speaker 1: are things you will need qualification to do. Showing love
[2:19:18] Speaker 1: and kindness is not one of those. Educated or otherwise,
[2:19:22] Speaker 1: you can show love and kindness. Are we together?
[2:19:26] Speaker 4: Wealthy or otherwise, you can show.
[2:19:28] Speaker 1: Love or kindness.
[2:19:30] Speaker 4: When it has to do with.
[2:19:31] Speaker 1: Love and kindness, gender does not necessarily matter. Age may
[2:19:35] Speaker 1: not matter.
[2:19:38] Speaker 4: Our world is full of bleeding people.
[2:19:41] Speaker 1: Bleeding preachers. I once saw a photo, I think it
[2:19:44] Speaker 1: was on YouTube or so. I can't remember what I
[2:19:46] Speaker 1: was looking for. And then I saw, I think it
[2:19:48] Speaker 1: was a graphic representation of something. And a man who
[2:19:52] Speaker 1: was holding on to his small son. Shielding the son
[2:19:56] Speaker 1: from something or so. And there were all kinds of
[2:19:59] Speaker 1: arrows on that man. I said, how true. Some of
[2:20:03] Speaker 1: you never know what men of God go through. The stress,
[2:20:08] Speaker 1: the pain, the internal crisis, having their own issues that
[2:20:12] Speaker 1: they have to throw away.
[2:20:14] Speaker 4: This is true for preachers. This is true for leaders.
[2:20:18] Speaker 1: And most times the church sometimes can be full of
[2:20:21] Speaker 1: very ungrateful people. They do not know that every sermon
[2:20:24] Speaker 1: you hear comes from a standpoint of blood, tears and sacrifice.
[2:20:30] Speaker 1: How about leaders? You come to your workplace and you
[2:20:34] Speaker 1: see ideas that keep scaling that organization. Not knowing that
[2:20:39] Speaker 1: someone lost sleep for that idea to come about. I'm
[2:20:43] Speaker 1: praying for you that you will train your spirit to
[2:20:46] Speaker 1: respect greatness when you see it. There is no gift
[2:20:50] Speaker 1: of greatness in the Bible. Greatness is a cumulative of
[2:20:54] Speaker 1: this journey. And tonight we are learning lessons from an overcomer.
[2:21:00] Speaker 1: So that you will become one yourself. Three most important things.
[2:21:05] Speaker 1: Number one, your relationship with Jesus. Number two, your biological
[2:21:12] Speaker 1: and your spiritual family. Number three, your assignment. John chapter
[2:21:19] Speaker 1: 4 and verse 34. Jesus expressed it so beautifully. 434, John.
[2:21:26] Speaker 1: He said, my meat. The word meat there means my nourishment.
[2:21:32] Speaker 1: Almost as though my living, my remaining.
[2:21:36] Speaker 4: Is based on this.
[2:21:37] Speaker 1: The ability to do the will of him that sent
[2:21:40] Speaker 1: me and to finish his work.
[2:21:43] Speaker 4: Can I tell you?
[2:21:44] Speaker 1: Sometimes... I leave a very busy schedule. By Tuesday, we're
[2:21:50] Speaker 1: in Cote d'Ivoire. To Wednesday, we return back straight. And
[2:21:55] Speaker 1: I'm preaching at the Four Square Convention. Thursday and Friday morning,
[2:22:01] Speaker 1: as soon as I'm done, headed from Abelkuta back to Lagos.
[2:22:06] Speaker 1: And then to Port Harcourt to still preach.
[2:22:10] Speaker 4: That same night, one session.
[2:22:12] Speaker 1: With House on the Rock. And sometimes... You are stretched
[2:22:17] Speaker 1: to the borders and you keep asking, why all this?
[2:22:20] Speaker 1: I can tell you, the joy that comes to your
[2:22:23] Speaker 1: heart when you know that your life has been a
[2:22:25] Speaker 1: blessing cannot be contained with anything. No amount of money
[2:22:30] Speaker 1: will replace it. No amount of fulfillment. If you have
[2:22:34] Speaker 1: not tasted this, your life is not valuable enough. There
[2:22:38] Speaker 1: must be fulfillment beyond material things that you get. And
[2:22:42] Speaker 1: it comes by pouring yourself as a drink offering. Someday
[2:22:47] Speaker 1: if Christ tarries, we'll all not be here.
[2:22:49] Speaker 5: Hallelujah.
[2:22:52] Speaker 1: And like I would always say, the hymn writer says,
[2:22:55] Speaker 1: Thus will we pass from the earth and its toiling,
[2:22:59] Speaker 1: only to be remembered. We used to sing this song
[2:23:03] Speaker 1: in the seminary and some will even cry. And then
[2:23:05] Speaker 1: we'll go back and do exactly what the song was
[2:23:07] Speaker 1: warning against.
[2:23:10] Speaker 4: Hallelujah.
[2:23:14] Speaker 1: Your relationship with Jesus is worth dying for. Let me
[2:23:17] Speaker 1: tell you what is not worth dying for. Fame.
[2:23:21] Speaker 4: Money. Positions.
[2:23:26] Speaker 1: Titles.
[2:23:29] Speaker 4: Competitive achievements, they.
[2:23:31] Speaker 1: Are not worth dying for. You will hurt yourself and
[2:23:35] Speaker 1: pierce yourself with many sorrows and not even live to
[2:23:38] Speaker 1: see yourself step into it.
[2:23:40] Speaker 4: There are some people today who will not sleep.
[2:23:43] Speaker 2: Why?
[2:23:44] Speaker 1: Because you saw a rapper that someone wore. Please, after Koinonia,
[2:23:48] Speaker 1: go and sleep. I release that grace upon you. Are
[2:23:52] Speaker 1: we together? Are we together? There are people today who
[2:23:55] Speaker 1: will not sleep because they checked their social media, whatever,
[2:24:00] Speaker 1: and saw two likes, two follows, two shares. And they say, no,
[2:24:05] Speaker 1: this can't, I mean, it can't be. Go and sleep, please.
[2:24:12] Speaker 1: This person was my junior in school and is now
[2:24:15] Speaker 1: dedicating his house. No, please go and sleep. It's only
[2:24:20] Speaker 1: when you are awake that you can go forward. Dead
[2:24:22] Speaker 1: men don't go forward. There is no progress to dead people.
[2:24:26] Speaker 1: Are we together?
[2:24:27] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[2:24:29] Speaker 1: There are things that are not worth losing sleep about. Please,
[2:24:34] Speaker 1: I give you a sound counsel. A lesson from an overcomer.
[2:24:39] Speaker 1: Learn to be contented while you aspire for great things.
[2:24:44] Speaker 1: At every level, contentment is not mediocrity.
[2:24:47] Speaker 4: It's gratitude.
[2:24:49] Speaker 1: Celebrate seasons. Don't hurry out of them. You will miss
[2:24:52] Speaker 1: the season you are rushing out of now. Rushing out
[2:24:57] Speaker 1: of now.
[2:24:57] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[2:25:01] Speaker 1: With all humility, there are things I cannot do again
[2:25:04] Speaker 1: by reason of this supposed public or celebrity life. Sometimes
[2:25:09] Speaker 1: I look back and I wish I had moments where
[2:25:11] Speaker 1: I could smuggle myself, maybe to just walk around. Literally,
[2:25:17] Speaker 1: can you imagine? If someone sees you on the street,
[2:25:23] Speaker 1: even if you are just walking, the person will kneel
[2:25:25] Speaker 1: down there and say, finally, I know, God, I will
[2:25:27] Speaker 1: not let you go. They can literally hold your trouser
[2:25:30] Speaker 1: in a junction. And you know Nigerians are people of faith.
[2:25:33] Speaker 4: They don't care.
[2:25:33] Speaker 1: If they tear the trouser and get their blessing, to
[2:25:37] Speaker 1: them it's a good baguette. Hallelujah. I'm generally not the
[2:25:48] Speaker 1: kind of person who likes all this, oh, you're this,
[2:25:51] Speaker 1: and I usually don't like it. But sometimes you get
[2:25:54] Speaker 1: to a point where you can't hide again, you can't
[2:25:55] Speaker 1: do anything. And most people get beguiled by those things.
[2:26:01] Speaker 1: When you see great people, you usually.
[2:26:03] Speaker 4: Admire, you inspire, and then for many.
[2:26:07] Speaker 1: People, that inspiration from them now becomes cancerous. Because you
[2:26:12] Speaker 1: lose sleep. I can't believe this. Is it not this
[2:26:16] Speaker 1: guy that I even God filled with the Holy Ghost?
[2:26:19] Speaker 1: He's the one who now has a membership of 1,000 people.
[2:26:22] Speaker 1: And I am here with 3 people, 4 people. Please
[2:26:25] Speaker 1: dear man of God, do not lose sleep. The one
[2:26:28] Speaker 1: person you are training is equivalent to a nation. A
[2:26:31] Speaker 1: competitive spirit is cancerous. Literally medically cancerous. It will destroy you.
[2:26:40] Speaker 1: Anything that will not give me sleep. May God not
[2:26:42] Speaker 1: bring it around my life. Are we together?
[2:26:46] Speaker 2: Yes.
[2:26:48] Speaker 1: Be content with the car you have now. While trusting
[2:26:51] Speaker 1: God for a greater one. A greater one will come.
[2:26:54] Speaker 1: But drive the one you have with pride. And don't
[2:26:57] Speaker 1: let nobody bully you. Be content with the house you
[2:27:02] Speaker 1: have now. Don't worry. Be content with the one cloth,
[2:27:05] Speaker 1: the one shirt you have now. Man of God. Be
[2:27:09] Speaker 1: content with the 50 faithful members that God has given you.
[2:27:13] Speaker 1: Serve them with all your heart. Now let me say this.
[2:27:17] Speaker 1: Before we find a place to pray. If I were
[2:27:24] Speaker 1: that overcomer who was giving you the lessons. I will
[2:27:29] Speaker 1: add one more. Learn from scars and learn from crowns.
[2:27:36] Speaker 1: If you learn from victorious people alone, you did not
[2:27:41] Speaker 1: learn well there is something only pain can teach there
[2:27:46] Speaker 1: is something only failure can teach please I want you
[2:27:49] Speaker 1: to listen to me I give you this as a
[2:27:52] Speaker 1: bonus principle and then we pray we live in a
[2:27:56] Speaker 1: world today that downplays Those who have failed and focuses
[2:28:02] Speaker 1: on those who have succeeded. The person who has failed
[2:28:05] Speaker 1: knows something that the successful person may never know. Believe me.
[2:28:11] Speaker 1: There is something that a woman who had three children
[2:28:16] Speaker 1: immediately after nine months. There's something she can teach you.
[2:28:20] Speaker 1: But there is something only the woman who knows the
[2:28:22] Speaker 1: pain of barrenness can teach you.
[2:28:25] Speaker 4: You must learn to learn faith.
[2:28:27] Speaker 1: From people who have failed. And have remained. Not just
[2:28:31] Speaker 1: those who have succeeded. The person who has failed.
[2:28:35] Speaker 4: And refused to give up.
[2:28:37] Speaker 1: Is as powerful a teacher. As the person who has succeeded.
[2:28:42] Speaker 1: Is someone learning now? If I were that overcomer. In
[2:28:47] Speaker 1: this teaching. And I had the privilege to teach you.
[2:28:51] Speaker 1: I will add number nine. And that would be. Learn
[2:28:54] Speaker 1: from scars. As well as crowns. I know you are
[2:29:04] Speaker 1: a man of God. And you have experienced miracles and explosion.
[2:29:09] Speaker 1: Spreading your branches all over. There is something you can
[2:29:12] Speaker 1: teach us. But I also want to hear from the man.
[2:29:17] Speaker 1: Who has only pastored 10 members for 10 years. And
[2:29:20] Speaker 1: has not given up. There is a kind of wisdom.
[2:29:23] Speaker 1: Only that man can bring. Are we together? Yes. I
[2:29:27] Speaker 1: want to learn from the woman. Who gave birth immediately.
[2:29:32] Speaker 1: And the one who waited 20 years. Both of them
[2:29:35] Speaker 1: have something to tell me. I want to learn from
[2:29:39] Speaker 1: the man who never had an opportunity to be educated.
[2:29:44] Speaker 4: But he was able to raise three or four children.
[2:29:47] Speaker 1: Not just the CEO who became a billionaire at 19.
[2:29:51] Speaker 1: Both of them have something to tell me. Can I
[2:29:53] Speaker 1: tell you? Do not fall prey to the mistake that
[2:29:57] Speaker 1: many have made. Do not just respect successful people alone.
[2:30:02] Speaker 1: Respect those who have failed and are still standing. When
[2:30:06] Speaker 1: a man fails and refuses to give up, there is
[2:30:09] Speaker 1: something he has and he can tell you. Is someone learning?
[2:30:18] Speaker 1: The one who is very wealthy can teach you financial principles.
[2:30:23] Speaker 1: But the one who has little can teach you joy
[2:30:26] Speaker 1: and gratitude in the midst of little. You need to
[2:30:29] Speaker 1: learn from both of them. The wealthy man may not
[2:30:32] Speaker 1: be able to sleep if he loses one billion. But
[2:30:35] Speaker 1: the person who has stayed having little and knows how
[2:30:40] Speaker 1: to sleep can teach you how to find rest when
[2:30:43] Speaker 1: things do not work. Most believers ignore people who have
[2:30:49] Speaker 1: scarce a loan without a crown. Not knowing that the
[2:30:52] Speaker 1: road to the throne is the cross. When we get
[2:30:57] Speaker 1: to heaven, I have taught you, among the many ways
[2:31:00] Speaker 1: we know Jesus, it's not just the crown on his head.
[2:31:03] Speaker 1: He's not the only one with a crown. The 24
[2:31:05] Speaker 1: elders have crowns. The saints will be given crowns. But
[2:31:09] Speaker 1: there is only one who has a kind of scar
[2:31:12] Speaker 1: that no one can replicate. That scar is what brands
[2:31:15] Speaker 1: him as savior. Not everybody can show you their crown,
[2:31:22] Speaker 1: but if they can show you their scar, respect them.
[2:31:28] Speaker 1: The man does not have a car, but he has
[2:31:31] Speaker 1: trekked with his children from primary school until they are
[2:31:34] Speaker 1: now in university. Let him teach you how to be
[2:31:37] Speaker 1: joyful without things. There is something he can teach you.
[2:31:42] Speaker 1: I learn from everyone. The Bible says, go.
[2:31:45] Speaker 4: To the ants and learn.
[2:31:46] Speaker 1: They have something to teach you. When I meet a
[2:31:49] Speaker 1: man who has failed and is crying, I tell him,
[2:31:52] Speaker 1: what can you teach me? When I meet a man
[2:31:54] Speaker 1: who has succeeded exceptionally, I tell him, what can you
[2:31:58] Speaker 1: teach me? I do not learn only from victors. I
[2:32:02] Speaker 1: learn from those who are testaments of endurance. They have failed.
[2:32:08] Speaker 4: They can teach you how not to fail.
[2:32:15] Speaker 1: You are the one that we praise. You are the
[2:32:21] Speaker 1: one we adore. You give the healing and grace that
[2:32:29] Speaker 1: our hearts always undergo. Oh, our hearts always undergo. It
[2:32:41] Speaker 1: is not only elderly people that can teach. Children can
[2:32:45] Speaker 1: also teach. Elderly people can never become children again. But
[2:32:50] Speaker 1: children have a chance to become elderly people. Respect them.
[2:32:54] Speaker 1: They have the advantage of time. Elderly people can have wisdom.
[2:33:00] Speaker 1: But there is no time to correct certain mistakes again.
[2:33:03] Speaker 1: But children have the advantage of time. They can be
[2:33:06] Speaker 1: Saul today and become Paul tomorrow. Respect it. I've visited
[2:33:16] Speaker 1: the prison many times. And we have various projects to
[2:33:19] Speaker 1: the prison. And I am inspired sometimes beyond imagination as
[2:33:25] Speaker 1: I see these inmates. Some of them have come to
[2:33:28] Speaker 1: a point where they have admitted their wrongs. Do you know,
[2:33:32] Speaker 1: there was a time that we wanted to help out
[2:33:34] Speaker 1: to bail a few people who had been there for
[2:33:36] Speaker 1: a long time. And The controllers advised us that they
[2:33:41] Speaker 1: have learned from experience that some of these people have
[2:33:45] Speaker 1: no family. They are better off there. Even if you
[2:33:48] Speaker 1: bail them, they will not go because it has become
[2:33:51] Speaker 1: their family. They are better off in that place. So
[2:33:56] Speaker 1: when you sit down with that person and you ask him,
[2:33:59] Speaker 1: what do you have to teach me? He will tell you,
[2:34:02] Speaker 1: listen to instructions. I was teaching, I'm wrapping up now.
[2:34:08] Speaker 1: I was teaching at a youth session, my final session
[2:34:12] Speaker 1: in South Africa this year. And I just decided to
[2:34:16] Speaker 1: inspire some of the people, the youths within the nation
[2:34:21] Speaker 1: there as a final session. And I just want to
[2:34:25] Speaker 1: borrow an example as I wrap up.
[2:34:27] Speaker 4: And I told them.
[2:34:30] Speaker 1: I was going to simulate a discussion between an elderly
[2:34:33] Speaker 1: you and a younger you. If the 10-year-old you meets
[2:34:42] Speaker 1: with the 50-year-old you and they discuss.
[2:34:45] Speaker 4: What will be their discussion?
[2:34:47] Speaker 1: Will it be, well done, you are what I always
[2:34:50] Speaker 1: wanted to be, or something is wrong, I wish I
[2:34:53] Speaker 1: could go back. I have told you that at the
[2:34:57] Speaker 1: end of your life, you will always be remembered, only
[2:35:00] Speaker 1: be remembered by the problems you created or the ones
[2:35:04] Speaker 1: you solved. There are many of you who right now
[2:35:07] Speaker 1: are in that conversation. If the 10 year younger version
[2:35:12] Speaker 1: of you looks at the you now. You will watch
[2:35:15] Speaker 1: him bleed. And he says this is not what I
[2:35:17] Speaker 1: wanted to become. This was not our discussion. What happened?
[2:35:22] Speaker 1: Now that you are alive. You can make the you now.
[2:35:26] Speaker 1: To celebrate with the you. That is waiting in your
[2:35:29] Speaker 1: 20 years from now. That 10, 20 years from now
[2:35:32] Speaker 1: you can look back to this version of you. And
[2:35:35] Speaker 1: say well done. I made the wrongs right. I built
[2:35:39] Speaker 1: the relationships. I got my life back in order. I'm
[2:35:43] Speaker 1: praying for you. That the 70, 80 year.
[2:35:47] Speaker 4: Old version of you will not turn back.
[2:35:50] Speaker 1: And watch the younger version crying. And say I kept
[2:35:53] Speaker 1: calling your attention. When you were 30 I said you
[2:35:56] Speaker 1: were missing it. You did not listen. You got to
[2:35:59] Speaker 1: 40 I said you were missing it. You did not listen.
[2:36:02] Speaker 1: Now you are 80. And you are full of regrets.
[2:36:05] Speaker 1: There are many elderly people today. Who are going to
[2:36:09] Speaker 1: their graves in pain. They made certain mistakes. And watch this.
[2:36:14] Speaker 1: This is the conclusion of my discourse tonight. The man
[2:36:19] Speaker 1: who is sitting today as an overcomer. It's not always smiling.
[2:36:24] Speaker 1: Sometimes they cry even on the throne. Because they remember
[2:36:27] Speaker 1: in regret opportunities missed. Some of these principles that they
[2:36:32] Speaker 1: did not adhere to. I was sent by that overcomer
[2:36:37] Speaker 1: to you. To tell you the mistake you are making
[2:36:40] Speaker 1: has been made by someone. And the end of it
[2:36:44] Speaker 1: is not joy.
[2:36:45] Speaker 4: You have a chance to correct it now.
[2:36:49] Speaker 1: The lack of wisdom that you are doing now. Someone
[2:36:52] Speaker 1: has done it for you already. He finally became an overcomer.
[2:36:58] Speaker 1: But there are things. The man called Abraham. Even though
[2:37:03] Speaker 1: he was a patriarch of faith. Don't forget. Ishmael came.
[2:37:08] Speaker 1: And Ishmael fought Isaac.
[2:37:10] Speaker 4: He still fights Isaac till today.
[2:37:13] Speaker 1: And so the lesson from the overcomer called Abraham is
[2:37:16] Speaker 1: that impatience will always make you give back to what
[2:37:19] Speaker 1: fights your promise. Make sure you don't just say I
[2:37:23] Speaker 1: am a seed of Abraham. Learn from the pain of
[2:37:26] Speaker 1: the patriarch. if you were to meet with David today
[2:37:32] Speaker 1: David will tell you that I was a great man
[2:37:34] Speaker 1: after my God's.
[2:37:36] Speaker 4: Heart but there were mistakes I made with my life.
[2:37:40] Speaker 1: Do not make that mistake how about Solomon the wise
[2:37:44] Speaker 1: you will see him seated today and if you were
[2:37:47] Speaker 1: to see Solomon he will tell you Read the book
[2:37:50] Speaker 1: of Ecclesiastes for the next one month. And he will
[2:37:52] Speaker 1: cry while he's saying it. Read the book of Ecclesiastes
[2:37:56] Speaker 1: and give it to every successful person to read. That
[2:38:00] Speaker 1: of writing many books, there is no end. And much
[2:38:03] Speaker 1: study is a weariness to the body. But this is
[2:38:06] Speaker 1: the conclusion of the matter. Fear God and keep his commandments,
[2:38:10] Speaker 1: he said. For this is the whole duty of man.
[2:38:17] Speaker 1: If you were to meet the man Paul, seated as
[2:38:20] Speaker 1: an overcomer.
[2:38:21] Speaker 4: He will say, I have a message for you. Know
[2:38:24] Speaker 4: God early. Know God early. It will save you a.
[2:38:28] Speaker 1: Lot of problems. Know God early.
[2:38:30] Speaker 4: If you were to.
[2:38:31] Speaker 1: Meet Esau and meet Jacob, they will tell you, do
[2:38:35] Speaker 1: not sell your destiny for a potage of steel.
[2:38:38] Speaker 4: It is not worth it.
[2:38:39] Speaker 1: Do not sell your birthright because you are hungry. Endure.
[2:38:44] Speaker 1: Your birthright is greater than your hunger today. And then,
[2:38:51] Speaker 1: if you sit and watch the greatest overcomer of all times,
[2:38:55] Speaker 1: he's called the king of kings. He seated himself upon
[2:39:00] Speaker 1: that throne. Let me tell you what he will tell you.
[2:39:03] Speaker 1: Come unto me, all ye that are heavy laden and
[2:39:08] Speaker 1: are weary, and he will tell you, I can give
[2:39:12] Speaker 1: you rest. Rest.
[2:39:13] Speaker 4: Rest from yesterday.
[2:39:15] Speaker 1: Rest from pain.
[2:39:17] Speaker 4: Rest from misery.
[2:39:19] Speaker 1: Rest from curses. I can give you rest. He says
[2:39:24] Speaker 1: my yoke is easy. And my burden is light. You
[2:39:28] Speaker 1: shall find rest indeed for your soul. Take my yoke
[2:39:31] Speaker 1: upon you. If you meet the overcomer. He will tell you.
[2:39:37] Speaker 1: No matter how your sins are.
[2:39:40] Speaker 4: I paid that price.
[2:39:42] Speaker 1: For you as proof of love. You may not be
[2:39:45] Speaker 1: able to do anything about yesterday. But you can start
[2:39:49] Speaker 1: afresh today. And make meaning with your today. For a
[2:39:54] Speaker 1: great tomorrow. We are surrounded by overcomers. They are called
[2:40:01] Speaker 1: a great cloud of witnesses. I've been assigned by the spirit.
[2:40:07] Speaker 1: To glean from their wisdom. And to share with you
[2:40:11] Speaker 1: tonight irrefutable destiny defining principles. That have turned ordinary men
[2:40:18] Speaker 1: to become champions. Hoping. That soon enough in your lifetime,
[2:40:23] Speaker 1: you will have a chance to sit upon this rare throne.
[2:40:26] Speaker 1: That not many sit on as an overcomer yourself. That
[2:40:30] Speaker 1: your name will be turned from Joshua Selman to an overcomer.
[2:40:34] Speaker 1: From Mary, from grace to an overcomer. That people will
[2:40:38] Speaker 1: look at you and indeed you will be called an overcomer.
[2:40:42] Speaker 1: Please rise up on your feet. Please hold the hands
[2:40:50] Speaker 1: of someone by your left and right. I am victorious.
[2:41:02] Speaker 1: I have overcome. I am victorious. I have overcome. I
[2:41:18] Speaker 1: am victorious. I have overcome. Whilst you are holding the
[2:41:40] Speaker 1: hands of your neighbor left and right, I want you
[2:41:43] Speaker 1: to pray a very simple, sincere prayer from.
[2:41:46] Speaker 4: The depth of your heart.
[2:41:48] Speaker 1: You're going to say, Lord, cause my neighbor to become
[2:41:52] Speaker 1: an overcomer. That they do not ignore this lesson that
[2:41:56] Speaker 1: has come. From the pain of overcomers. Go ahead. That
[2:42:02] Speaker 1: is your only prayer for tonight. Pray for your neighbor.
[2:42:12] Speaker 1: He's taken the pain and the sorrow away. He's given
[2:42:20] Speaker 1: me peace undeniable. It's no need to cry cause you're
[2:42:27] Speaker 1: always with me. You're my father, my everything.
[2:42:31] Speaker 2: Oh, man, my.
[2:42:31] Speaker 5: Sing it.
[2:42:34] Speaker 1: Oh, man, my.
[2:42:48] Speaker 1: Lord, you took my pain away and then you gave
[2:42:55] Speaker 1: me joy.
[2:42:56] Speaker 4: You're my peace.
[2:42:58] Speaker 1: My melody in the center of the storm. You gave
[2:43:03] Speaker 1: me a brand new song to sing to you. That's
[2:43:07] Speaker 1: why I will lift up my voice and sing.
[2:43:14] Speaker 5: Go ahead and pray.
[2:43:29] Speaker 1: Father, cause my brother, my sister, cause my neighbor to
[2:43:35] Speaker 1: learn this profound destiny altering lessons from the overcomer. From
[2:43:43] Speaker 1: Abraham the overcomer, Paul the overcomer, Jesus the greatest of
[2:43:51] Speaker 1: all overcomers. From our fathers who have become overcomers. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
[2:44:07] Speaker 1: I pray for you in the name of Jesus. For
[2:44:10] Speaker 1: many of you who have been wounded in life and destiny.
[2:44:14] Speaker 4: You have felt like you have failed.
[2:44:16] Speaker 1: And failed and failed and failed and failed. I'm speaking
[2:44:20] Speaker 1: by the spirit of the living God. That every negative
[2:44:23] Speaker 1: voice that has spoken to you that you will never emerge.
[2:44:27] Speaker 1: You will never become. May that voice be silenced now.
[2:44:35] Speaker 1: For those of you who have made all kinds of
[2:44:37] Speaker 1: mistakes around your life and destiny. And you are wondering
[2:44:41] Speaker 1: whether it's worth continuing the journey.
[2:44:44] Speaker 4: I bring you glad tidings.
[2:44:46] Speaker 1: There is hope for a tree. Even if it be
[2:44:49] Speaker 1: cut up at the scent of water. Receive grace to
[2:44:52] Speaker 1: keep going. Receive grace to keep going. Receive grace to
[2:44:57] Speaker 1: keep going. I pray for you. For everyone who has
[2:45:03] Speaker 1: ignored hitherto any of these eight lessons that we have
[2:45:08] Speaker 1: today learned from the overcomer. I pray for grace that
[2:45:12] Speaker 1: you will retrace your steps. Grace to take the wisdom
[2:45:16] Speaker 1: of the overcomer seriously. In the name of Jesus Christ.
[2:45:23] Speaker 1: Finally I pray for you. That every power that wants
[2:45:27] Speaker 1: to fight you are becoming an overcomer in experience. Becoming
[2:45:32] Speaker 1: an inspiration to all around you and to younger generations.
[2:45:36] Speaker 1: I am praying that that power is cleared out of
[2:45:39] Speaker 1: the way. I call you by faith and by grace
[2:45:44] Speaker 1: an overcomer. Your life will become an inspiration to many people.
[2:45:51] Speaker 1: Your life will become a motivation to many people. In
[2:45:55] Speaker 1: the name of Jesus Christ. That from today people will
[2:46:00] Speaker 1: look at your life. And the energy to continue will
[2:46:03] Speaker 1: be imparted upon them. In the name of Jesus Christ.
[2:46:09] Speaker 1: Let me make the altar call now. You heard. The
[2:46:13] Speaker 1: message that I brought you from the chiefest overcomer himself.
[2:46:17] Speaker 1: Please keep standing. Let's just honor the altar call. We're
[2:46:20] Speaker 1: done in a minute or two. You have heard. Abraham's perspective,
[2:46:27] Speaker 1: Paul's perspective, Joshua Selman's perspective, but Jesus himself calls on you.
[2:46:34] Speaker 1: And this, the chiefest of all overcomers, in fact, the
[2:46:39] Speaker 1: reason why there are all other overcomers, he's calling you
[2:46:44] Speaker 1: to make it right with him tonight. It doesn't matter
[2:46:46] Speaker 1: what has gone right or wrong in your life, ladies
[2:46:48] Speaker 1: and gentlemen. When you come to Jesus, He gives you
[2:46:52] Speaker 1: an opportunity to make it right. I want to call
[2:46:55] Speaker 1: two groups of people in one right now. Two groups
[2:46:58] Speaker 1: of persons. Number one, those who are making this decision
[2:47:01] Speaker 1: for the first time. You're saying, Apostle, I will do
[2:47:05] Speaker 1: myself a disservice to ignore this call.
[2:47:07] Speaker 4: Not after the things that I've heard today.
[2:47:10] Speaker 1: And then number two, the second group are people who
[2:47:14] Speaker 1: are saying, I need to rededicate my life. As you
[2:47:17] Speaker 1: kept reading the list, I found out that I was
[2:47:20] Speaker 1: a victim of almost all of them. I have almost
[2:47:24] Speaker 1: all through my life ignored the counsel. Of this overcomer.
[2:47:29] Speaker 1: And I want to make it right. I'm going to
[2:47:31] Speaker 1: count one to five. Leave wherever you are. And literally run.
[2:47:35] Speaker 1: Come and stand before me. As I lead you. To
[2:47:38] Speaker 1: make this decision. And to encounter this overcomer. Please may
[2:47:43] Speaker 1: I request that you stand. So there will be space.
[2:47:45] Speaker 1: I'm counting now.
[2:47:47] Speaker 2: One.
[2:47:47] Speaker 1: Let's honor them as they come. Two.
[2:47:52] Speaker 2: Come. Come.
[2:47:58] Speaker 1: Come, don't be ashamed.
[2:48:00] Speaker 4: The overcomer calls you.
[2:48:03] Speaker 1: Regardless your past, regardless yesterday, regardless your limitations, he gives
[2:48:08] Speaker 1: you a new opportunity. No eye has seen, no ear
[2:48:16] Speaker 1: has heard what God has prepared for me. So I
[2:48:22] Speaker 1: submit to His work in me till Christ be formed
[2:48:27] Speaker 1: in me. No eye has seen, no ear has heard
[2:48:34] Speaker 1: what God has prepared for me. So I submit to
[2:48:40] Speaker 1: His work in me till the Christ is formed in me.
[2:48:48] Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, thank you. Thank you
[2:48:50] Speaker 1: for making this noble decision. You're joining them.
[2:48:53] Speaker 4: Please hurry up.
[2:48:55] Speaker 1: It's my joy and honor to introduce to you the overcomer,
[2:48:59] Speaker 1: Jesus himself, the captain of our salvation, the one who
[2:49:03] Speaker 1: sits at the right hand of the father. He calls
[2:49:06] Speaker 1: you into a functional relationship. The Bible says as many
[2:49:12] Speaker 1: as will come to him, he will in no wise
[2:49:15] Speaker 1: cast away. May I request that you lift your right hand, please,
[2:49:18] Speaker 1: high above your head as a sign of surrender and
[2:49:21] Speaker 1: say this after me. Believe it whilst you say it. Say,
[2:49:24] Speaker 1: Lord Jesus, I have heard your word. I come to
[2:49:29] Speaker 1: you just as I am. I believe that you died
[2:49:34] Speaker 1: for my sin. I believe that you rose again for
[2:49:40] Speaker 1: my justification.
[2:49:42] Speaker 4: Right now, I receive your life.
[2:49:46] Speaker 1: And I declare that eternal life is in my spirit now.
[2:49:52] Speaker 1: I declare that you are my Savior. You are my Lord.
[2:49:58] Speaker 1: You are my King. I also declare that the power
[2:50:04] Speaker 1: of sin, Satan, hell, and the grave is broken over
[2:50:10] Speaker 1: my life. I am a child of God from tonight on.
[2:50:15] Speaker 1: And I live the victorious Christian life. Amen.
[2:50:19] Speaker 4: Father thank you for these blessed ones.
[2:50:22] Speaker 1: They have lifted their hands. Declaring your lordship over their lives.
[2:50:25] Speaker 1: I'm praying for them in the name of Jesus. That
[2:50:28] Speaker 1: the grace to walk. As a true believer. May that
[2:50:32] Speaker 1: grace be released upon you. And by the authority of scripture.
[2:50:36] Speaker 1: The power of sin, Satan, hell and the grave. Is
[2:50:38] Speaker 1: broken over your life. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
[2:50:44] Speaker 1: Please may I request that you move to my right.
[2:50:46] Speaker 1: There are counselors waving the placard. They will have a
[2:50:49] Speaker 1: word with you very quickly. And then you'll be back
[2:50:51] Speaker 1: to your seat. Let's honor them as they go. Thank
[2:50:54] Speaker 1: you so very much. Thank you so very much. Koinonia,
[2:50:59] Speaker 1: are you still clapping? Hallelujah. All right. While standing, just
