It has now been 117 days since Katie Walker was last seen in Sydney's Tamarama - and this week, a lot has happened. A new person has come forward and their claims have led to a huge development which, in our opinion, finally and definitively, prove that Katie Walker did not end her life. If you know anything, please contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 and PROOF INVESTIGATIONS. ______ Katie Walker, 46, was last seen in Sydney's Tamarama at 1:12pm on May 23, 2026. In articles several weeks ago now, the press wrongly identified the mum-of-two as a "Married At First Sight Australia producer" and described the wrong woman. They confused Katie Walker with Kate Walker, who works in TV. Since then, some outlets have quietly deleted their stories and there has been zero further coverage. The real Katie's story has now been ignored by all mainstream media. I (Joshua Fox) have spent a week now speaking to Katie's frustrated friends and family, and promised them I'd use my platforms to get her face and story out there that'll hopefully lead to new information. Plus, I've been speaking the private investigator they've hired to also try and find answers I'll be documenting our progress on this new podcast, The disappearance of Katie Walker, as well as on my Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. NOTE: NSW Police have now issued two public appeals for information and their investigation is active. More details at helpfindkatie.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

[0:00] Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Disappearance of Katie Walker podcast and
[0:04] Speaker 1: welcome to arguably the biggest update in this case since
[0:08] Speaker 1: Katie first went missing on May 23rd, 2026, 118 days
[0:15] Speaker 1: ago now. Because there is now what I feel is
[0:19] Speaker 1: undoubtable evidence that not only did Katie Walker not end
[0:24] Speaker 1: her life, but to me at least, and Katie's loved
[0:29] Speaker 1: ones who are now more desperate than ever for answers
[0:33] Speaker 1: this new evidence proves.
[0:35] Speaker 2: What they've always believed that there.
[0:38] Speaker 1: Is something far more sinister happening here and it also
[0:43] Speaker 1: proves that Katie could still be alive but sadly is
[0:49] Speaker 1: being held against her will somewhere and before I get
[0:53] Speaker 1: to the evidence I must take you on the journey
[0:56] Speaker 1: which led to all of this unfolding over the last
[1:00] Speaker 1: week or so because this context and this background is very,
[1:05] Speaker 1: very important. So since my last update on here, this
[1:09] Speaker 1: podcast has continued to gain.
[1:11] Speaker 2: Traction, especially overseas.
[1:13] Speaker 1: With tens of thousands of new downloads and tens of
[1:17] Speaker 1: thousands of people all around the world discovering this sad case,
[1:23] Speaker 1: including one person who I won't name who knew Katie
[1:28] Speaker 1: personally and this person wasn't just an acquaintance they were
[1:33] Speaker 1: a close friend of Katie's and someone she'd spent years
[1:37] Speaker 1: turning to and this person had also spent years now
[1:42] Speaker 1: fearing that Katie was part of something dark or had
[1:47] Speaker 1: been recruited unknowingly into something dark And this person whose
[1:55] Speaker 1: identity I will protect on here, mostly just for their
[1:59] Speaker 1: own safety, because that's where we're at now. As this
[2:02] Speaker 1: person then started contacting myself and Katie's family, who I
[2:08] Speaker 1: still speak to frequently, and some of Katie's other friends
[2:11] Speaker 1: who you have heard in previous episodes of this podcast,
[2:14] Speaker 1: that's when things have started to get weird. So firstly,
[2:18] Speaker 1: as this friend started to reach out to all these
[2:21] Speaker 1: various people, they started a telegram group, which is essentially
[2:26] Speaker 1: a group chat for the handful of people who knew
[2:29] Speaker 1: Katie and are wanting to help find her just to
[2:32] Speaker 1: share their.
[2:32] Speaker 2: Thoughts and theories and most importantly, screenshots.
[2:37] Speaker 1: And whereas most of the people in this case, and
[2:42] Speaker 1: that feels weird to say because as much as this
[2:44] Speaker 1: is a case it is a real story and these
[2:47] Speaker 1: are very real people but yeah whereas most of the
[2:51] Speaker 1: people in this story so far have already and unsuccessfully
[2:57] Speaker 1: like combed through all of their existing texts and emails
[3:01] Speaker 1: and messages with katie from over the years just looking
[3:05] Speaker 1: for anything suspicious which sadly they haven't really found that
[3:10] Speaker 1: could help with finding her this new person was only
[3:14] Speaker 1: just starting to do that. And fuck, they had like
[3:18] Speaker 1: years worth of messages between them and Katie of them
[3:22] Speaker 1: raising concern of things or people they suspected Katie was
[3:28] Speaker 1: getting involved with, or in their opinion, people that were
[3:32] Speaker 1: taking advantage of Katie. And I'm now going to read
[3:35] Speaker 1: you this one message, which this person sent to Katie
[3:40] Speaker 1: on February 21st. 2025 which is 15 months before she
[3:47] Speaker 1: disappeared and at that point in time Katie had split
[3:50] Speaker 1: from her second husband Dean in America she had a
[3:53] Speaker 1: substantial payout from that of around five hundred thousand dollars
[3:57] Speaker 1: and and after heading to Dubai in the hope of
[4:00] Speaker 1: finding buyers for her homemade high-end bespoke jewelry brand like
[4:06] Speaker 1: Katie's job and passion was creating jewelry Katie's behavior, according
[4:12] Speaker 1: to many people I've spoken to actually, it started to change.
[4:17] Speaker 1: And this is now the message from February 21st, 2025.
[4:23] Speaker 2: Hi, sweetness. Where are you?
[4:26] Speaker 1: I'm starting to worry about you. And I don't know
[4:30] Speaker 1: who to contact because I don't know what country you're in.
[4:34] Speaker 1: Are you still in Dubai? I do have a former
[4:37] Speaker 1: CIA friend. And she may know what to do. The
[4:42] Speaker 1: message then named a mutual friend of this person and
[4:45] Speaker 1: Katie's and it continued. This other person, they know an
[4:50] Speaker 1: FBI agent that could help find you. Next time you
[4:54] Speaker 1: go away, you must give me your children's contact information.
[4:59] Speaker 1: I know you are a world traveler, but this is
[5:02] Speaker 1: so out of character for you to not be in
[5:04] Speaker 1: contact for so long.
[5:06] Speaker 2: Sending you love. When that person sent that text message.
[5:10] Speaker 1: They'd gradually watch their beloved friend over several months start
[5:15] Speaker 1: to withdraw and start mentioning new people she'd met and
[5:20] Speaker 1: new business opportunities they were presenting to her knowing that
[5:24] Speaker 1: she had money and Katie was visiting new countries and
[5:28] Speaker 1: new places all alone. And Katie was starting to take
[5:32] Speaker 1: longer to reply. And when this friend would say, hey,
[5:36] Speaker 1: are you okay? Hey, are these guys legit? Hey, is
[5:39] Speaker 1: something happening here? Katie was quite combative and dismissive. And
[5:45] Speaker 1: this only concerned this friend more and more, which is
[5:49] Speaker 1: why she did mention like the CIA and the FBI there,
[5:54] Speaker 1: which may seem so extreme and random, but that is
[5:57] Speaker 1: how much this person was suspecting something was happening here
[6:02] Speaker 1: and what that friend was believed back then when she
[6:06] Speaker 1: wrote that message was that Katie was potentially involved in
[6:10] Speaker 1: some kind of human trafficking.
[6:13] Speaker 2: Operation, which yes, is a wild theory.
[6:16] Speaker 1: But at that point in time, like their mind raced
[6:19] Speaker 1: with wild theories because to them, how quickly Katie was
[6:23] Speaker 1: changing was wild to them immediately after that text message, which,
[6:28] Speaker 1: you know, was a serious message to receive and it
[6:32] Speaker 1: wasn't just a passive, hey, are you okay?
[6:35] Speaker 2: Worried about you? Like maybe they're over previous messages.
[6:38] Speaker 1: This one mentioned the CIA and the FBI. Immediately after that,
[6:46] Speaker 1: Katie sent an email response. Everything's fine, Katie said. Don't worry,
[6:53] Speaker 1: she reassured.
[6:54] Speaker 2: I'll be back soon, she continued.
[6:58] Speaker 1: But even then, in the months that followed, as Katie
[7:00] Speaker 1: did start to return to the Katie the friend knew
[7:04] Speaker 1: all along, and you know, she was back in America,
[7:07] Speaker 1: this friend still sensed that something was off, or maybe
[7:12] Speaker 1: something had happened, and even though it now seemed to
[7:15] Speaker 1: be behind her, something just never quite sat right, and yeah,
[7:21] Speaker 1: when this friend recently discovered why Katie again, had gone
[7:26] Speaker 1: silent for a few months, you know, it wasn't because
[7:28] Speaker 1: she was ignoring her, but it was because she was missing,
[7:32] Speaker 1: like their worst fears to them came true. And everything
[7:38] Speaker 1: they'd feared was now a reality. And this now brings
[7:43] Speaker 1: me to now, like right now, this week and the
[7:45] Speaker 1: new evidence. So as I was saying, as this new
[7:48] Speaker 1: person over the last week or so has started scrolling
[7:51] Speaker 1: back through anything and everything between them, Katie, suddenly Katie's
[7:58] Speaker 1: Telegram account was deleted. And not just that, but their
[8:03] Speaker 1: entire chat history, and we're talking years worth of messages
[8:07] Speaker 1: that friend hadn't yet screenshot, just vanished before their very eyes.
[8:12] Speaker 2: And here's the thing, Telegram.
[8:15] Speaker 1: Which I'll be honest, I've never used and I wasn't
[8:18] Speaker 1: that familiar with until this week when I've researched it,
[8:20] Speaker 1: but it's a free cloud-based instant messaging service with a
[8:24] Speaker 1: focus on security, with manual end-to-end encryption. And if you
[8:29] Speaker 1: have an account on Telegram, it doesn't expire or self-delete
[8:34] Speaker 1: or anything like Snapchat. And if a person, say, doesn't
[8:38] Speaker 1: log in for 117 days because they're missing and presumed
[8:43] Speaker 1: dead from suicide, according to the police, their account and
[8:47] Speaker 1: their messages, they're not wiped, they're not deleted. They are
[8:50] Speaker 1: essentially there forever unless you or someone physically logs into
[8:58] Speaker 1: those accounts and deletes them which has happened here even
[9:02] Speaker 1: then though if you just delete your account like it
[9:05] Speaker 1: doesn't wipe your messages or your chats and all your
[9:09] Speaker 1: chats and message threads they remain there for the other
[9:12] Speaker 1: person to still read whenever and they just then say
[9:16] Speaker 1: instead of being from katie for example it would just
[9:19] Speaker 1: say from deleted user like everything you've ever sent is
[9:23] Speaker 1: essentially there forever unless before you do delete your account
[9:29] Speaker 1: you then go into literally each chat thread one by
[9:33] Speaker 1: one and you manually click delete for both participants which
[9:38] Speaker 1: is what happened with Katie's account before it was then
[9:41] Speaker 1: deleted completely and this all happened according to the friend
[9:47] Speaker 1: I'm speaking to around September 9th or 10th when the
[9:52] Speaker 1: chat history, which again, she'd been going into daily, scrolling
[9:56] Speaker 1: back through years of everything from happy memories together to
[10:00] Speaker 1: all of her previously raised concerns and, you know, Katie's
[10:04] Speaker 1: detailed accounts of some of the new and suspicious people
[10:08] Speaker 1: she'd met over the last couple of years, all of
[10:11] Speaker 1: that gone along with her entire account. And not just that,
[10:16] Speaker 1: but at the same time, Katie's jewelry website which had
[10:20] Speaker 1: like bios about her and what she was making and
[10:24] Speaker 1: even pictures of her, that was suddenly wiped as well.
[10:27] Speaker 1: So in just a few hours, Katie's already minimal presence
[10:31] Speaker 1: online was substantially erased by someone either with Katie's passwords
[10:37] Speaker 1: or with Katie's devices, such as her mobile phone. And
[10:42] Speaker 1: I'm mentioning the mobile phone there specifically because let's think
[10:46] Speaker 1: back to the very first episode of this podcast and
[10:49] Speaker 1: the first plot twist you could say.
[10:52] Speaker 2: In this whole baffling story.
[10:55] Speaker 1: And in that podcast, I spoke about how Katie's last
[10:58] Speaker 1: known sighting was at 1.12 PM on Alexander Street in
[11:03] Speaker 1: Sydney's Tamarama with the police then believing that she walked
[11:06] Speaker 1: into the water and ended her life. And again, in
[11:10] Speaker 1: that podcast, I also mentioned how hours later, hours after
[11:14] Speaker 1: the police believed that Katie just walked into the water
[11:17] Speaker 1: in broad daylight with all of her belongings without a
[11:20] Speaker 1: single person seeing her, I asked in that podcast why
[11:24] Speaker 1: hours later, 7.40pm, why did her mobile phone then ping
[11:30] Speaker 1: from a cell tower in Bondi? Somebody turned it on
[11:34] Speaker 1: and then turned it off quickly. And this is around
[11:36] Speaker 1: one and a half kilometres away. from Alexander Street in Tamarama.
[11:40] Speaker 1: And this was something the police couldn't explain then. And
[11:43] Speaker 1: they never responded to my questions about at the start
[11:45] Speaker 1: of this podcast series, because I suppose it went against
[11:48] Speaker 1: their lazy theory of suicide. And actually, if we're being
[11:51] Speaker 1: honest right now, since this whole thing started and bear
[11:55] Speaker 1: in mind, you know, Katie is getting more media coverage now,
[11:57] Speaker 1: which is great, but everything stems back to this podcast
[12:01] Speaker 1: and me. And I've raised all the questions to them
[12:04] Speaker 1: first and I've sent them so many emails and not
[12:07] Speaker 1: one single email has been replied to, not one single
[12:11] Speaker 1: question answered. And you know, New South Wales Police have
[12:13] Speaker 1: mentioned this before, they have a media unit. The entire
[12:17] Speaker 1: purpose of that taxpayer unit is to work with media
[12:23] Speaker 1: and journalists and press and independent creators and freelancers and
[12:27] Speaker 1: essentially people like me. to give them comments and updates
[12:33] Speaker 1: and statements, but not a single fucking reply since this
[12:37] Speaker 1: whole thing fucking started. And I'm sorry to swear, but
[12:41] Speaker 1: it is just so fucking infuriating how negligent one fucking
[12:47] Speaker 1: police force can be continually when every episode of this podcast,
[12:51] Speaker 1: every week or so, me, Katie's family and Katie's friends,
[12:55] Speaker 1: we're presenting them evidence on a fucking platter to say,
[12:59] Speaker 1: This woman did not end her life. She did not
[13:02] Speaker 1: walk into that water, stop being so fucking lazy and
[13:06] Speaker 1: go and do some policing. And I'm sorry I'm getting
[13:09] Speaker 1: worked up.
[13:09] Speaker 2: It's just, as I said, It's infuriating.
[13:13] Speaker 1: And now we're at the point where away from everything
[13:16] Speaker 1: else I've touched upon in this podcast, how the things
[13:19] Speaker 1: they believe are suicide notes are not even in her writing.
[13:22] Speaker 1: Things are spelt wrong. How the man from Dubai, this
[13:26] Speaker 1: man who broke into a hotel room months later, he's
[13:28] Speaker 1: then in Bondi. Katie's telling people she's being followed. How
[13:33] Speaker 1: the divorce money, half a million dollars, that's gone. Who's
[13:36] Speaker 1: stolen that?
[13:37] Speaker 2: Follow the money.
[13:38] Speaker 1: All of these things are now And now we're at
[13:40] Speaker 1: the point where as somebody new in this investigation, someone
[13:44] Speaker 1: trying to help find answers and find Katie, as they
[13:47] Speaker 1: start to get too close to what feels like the
[13:49] Speaker 1: truth and answers that would prove that Katie Walker did not,
[13:53] Speaker 1: and I'll say this a million times, did not end
[13:56] Speaker 1: her life.
[13:58] Speaker 2: Where are the police?
[13:59] Speaker 1: If Katie is ever to be found, whether that's dead
[14:03] Speaker 1: or alive, which sounds horrible to say, but that's where
[14:05] Speaker 1: we're at. And her family, ultimately, they just want closure
[14:09] Speaker 1: either way. But if that's to happen, New South Wales police,
[14:12] Speaker 1: they must pull their fucking fingers out and take this
[14:16] Speaker 1: case off the fucking seemingly entry level local detectives in
[14:20] Speaker 1: the Bondi Beach unit who were assigned this case from
[14:23] Speaker 1: the start and reassign it to the homicide squad. and
[14:27] Speaker 1: treat it as a major criminal investigation, which it is,
[14:30] Speaker 1: rather than them seeing it as some sad, suspected local suicide.
[14:34] Speaker 2: Oh, so sad.
[14:35] Speaker 1: With a few boxes that they ticked at the start,
[14:38] Speaker 1: and then they're just ignoring any questions which go against
[14:40] Speaker 1: this theory. And unless they do that, I cannot say
[14:44] Speaker 1: it enough. Katie Walker will never be found. And you,
[14:47] Speaker 1: New South Wales police, you will have failed her like
[14:50] Speaker 1: you are currently failing every single person in this community
[14:54] Speaker 1: out there, who want answers. And again, I'm sorry to
[14:58] Speaker 1: swear so much at the end of this episode, but
[15:01] Speaker 1: fuck me. New South Wales police just do better. I
[15:06] Speaker 1: really went off script there. And like, I've already apologized
[15:09] Speaker 1: for swearing. It's just, it is frustrating. And, you know,
[15:16] Speaker 1: speaking to Katie's family again this week, the private investigator
[15:20] Speaker 1: speaking to this new person, it's like so many people
[15:24] Speaker 1: out there just want answers and want to find Katie
[15:29] Speaker 1: and every time we start to feel we're getting closer
[15:32] Speaker 1: to anything we just continually hit this roadblock which is
[15:37] Speaker 1: the police who can only then take things to the
[15:39] Speaker 1: next step and they just do nothing I'm still yet
[15:43] Speaker 1: to receive.
[15:43] Speaker 2: I've already said it was the point I said again a.
[15:46] Speaker 1: Single reply like fuck me at some point soon I
[15:50] Speaker 1: will have a follow-up to this episode with a bit
[15:53] Speaker 1: more of a deep dive on Katie's background and why
[15:59] Speaker 1: this friend especially has suspected trafficking, which I mentioned earlier.
[16:08] Speaker 1: And there's a bit more to that, which.
[16:09] Speaker 2: I'm still figuring out.
[16:13] Speaker 1: How much I can and can't say, but I'm not
[16:18] Speaker 1: going to.
[16:18] Speaker 2: Stop this podcast.
[16:20] Speaker 1: Katie's family and friends are not going to stop wanting
[16:22] Speaker 1: answers and hopefully You guys don't stop talking about her
[16:27] Speaker 1: to your friends, coworkers, anyone out there to just keep
[16:31] Speaker 1: Katie's memory alive and then collectively we'll all keep putting
[16:34] Speaker 1: pressure on the police to just, I'll say it for
[16:37] Speaker 1: what feels like the thousandth time today, just do fucking better.
