Apologies for the delay, here's an update on Katie Walker with the latest that I am able to publicly share. If you know anything, please contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 and PROOF INVESTIGATIONS. ______ Katie Walker, 46, was last seen in Sydney's Tamarama at 1:12pm on May 23, 2026. In articles several weeks ago now, the press wrongly identified the mum-of-two as a "Married At First Sight Australia producer" and described the wrong woman. They confused Katie Walker with Kate Walker, who works in TV. Since then, some outlets have quietly deleted their stories and there has been zero further coverage. The real Katie's story has now been ignored by all mainstream media. I (Joshua Fox) have spent a week now speaking to Katie's frustrated friends and family, and promised them I'd use my platforms to get her face and story out there that'll hopefully lead to new information. Plus, I've been speaking the private investigator they've hired to also try and find answers I'll be documenting our progress on this new podcast, The disappearance of Katie Walker, as well as on my Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. NOTE: NSW Police have now issued two public appeals for information and their investigation is active. More details at helpfindkatie.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

## Transcript

[0:00] Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Disappearance of Katie Walker. As of
[0:04] Speaker 1: right now, Katie is still missing. It's been eighty eight
[0:08] Speaker 1: days now since Katie was last seen walking down Alexander
[0:12] Speaker 1: Street in Sydney's Tamarama, and sadly, we still have no
[0:16] Speaker 1: idea what happened to Katie after that final grainy CCTV
[0:21] Speaker 1: camera image captured her walking down towards gay A Locke Avenue.
[0:27] Speaker 1: I know that it's been a while since I've shared
[0:29] Speaker 1: an update on here, and the sad truth is it's
[0:32] Speaker 1: because there just isn't much that I can tell you
[0:34] Speaker 1: right now. Since I started this podcast series, not only
[0:38] Speaker 1: have the public here in Australia become aware of Katie's story,
[0:42] Speaker 1: but as I've previously said, so many people who have
[0:45] Speaker 1: met Katie at various stages of her life from all
[0:48] Speaker 1: around the world. Actually they've come forward and aside from
[0:52] Speaker 1: just being shocked and saddened at the news of her disappearance,
[0:55] Speaker 1: which most people only discovered because of my posts and
[0:59] Speaker 1: the podcast, but they've all started sharing little bits of
[1:03] Speaker 1: information from their own experiences with Katie over the last year,
[1:08] Speaker 1: two years, free actually over the last ten and twenty years.
[1:12] Speaker 1: In some cases, and over the last couple of weeks
[1:15] Speaker 1: now since my last post on here, all of these
[1:18] Speaker 1: little stories and bits of information that I've been shared
[1:21] Speaker 1: with either me or Katie's family in the UK or
[1:24] Speaker 1: the private investigator here in Sydney, they've all been collated together,
[1:29] Speaker 1: and to be honest, as we look at it all
[1:32] Speaker 1: together and see like the most accurate description of Katie's life,
[1:38] Speaker 1: like again, not just the most recent years, but her
[1:42] Speaker 1: entire adult life, you could say it's just led to
[1:46] Speaker 1: so many more questions that were all still wanting answers to.
[1:50] Speaker 1: And one of the big questions actually, which I think
[1:52] Speaker 1: could hold a lot of the answers to what happened
[1:55] Speaker 1: to Katie, is what happened to the five hundred thousand
[1:59] Speaker 1: dollars divorce settlement money that we know Katie received around
[2:04] Speaker 1: a year and a half ago following her divorce from
[2:07] Speaker 1: her American husband. As I shared in a previous episode
[2:10] Speaker 1: on Here, we know that Katie invested around one hundred
[2:14] Speaker 1: and fifty thousand dollars into the business of a man
[2:17] Speaker 1: she met and started dating after that divorce around a
[2:21] Speaker 1: year ago, and we also know that Katie had been
[2:23] Speaker 1: asking for that money back as she moved to Australia
[2:26] Speaker 1: in February and desperately needed cash to get set up here.
[2:31] Speaker 1: But there's still hundreds of thousands of dollars gone unaccounted for,
[2:36] Speaker 1: Like where is that money? Because at the time of
[2:40] Speaker 1: Katie's disappearance in May, she was broke and she was
[2:44] Speaker 1: relying on money from her dad in the UK, which
[2:48] Speaker 1: was paying her rent in Darling Point here in Sydney,
[2:51] Speaker 1: and she was waiting for money from her friends in
[2:53] Speaker 1: America who had just sold some of her belongings, and
[2:56] Speaker 1: like their last communication with Katie twenty four hours before
[3:00] Speaker 1: or she went missing was them asking which bank account
[3:03] Speaker 1: do you want us to send this money too? And
[3:06] Speaker 1: as far as I'm aware right now, Katie's family have
[3:10] Speaker 1: had no look getting access to her bank statements from
[3:14] Speaker 1: her American bank, which could potentially shed some light and
[3:18] Speaker 1: just where all of that money went, like who she
[3:21] Speaker 1: sent it to, or where did she invest it, who
[3:23] Speaker 1: did she invest it with, or even who was potentially
[3:26] Speaker 1: even stealing from Katie, because you know, that is a
[3:29] Speaker 1: significant amount of money to essentially lose over the course
[3:36] Speaker 1: of one year, and it's not like it was wasted
[3:39] Speaker 1: on crazy holidays and you know, crazy property or expensive things.
[3:44] Speaker 1: Like Katie, Yeah, she had like designer handbags and stuff,
[3:48] Speaker 1: but from what I can see and what I'm told,
[3:50] Speaker 1: her life was still somewhat modest. Like the place she
[3:54] Speaker 1: was living in Sydney, it was just a two bedroom unit.
[3:57] Speaker 1: It wasn't something you'd describers like luxurious or anything like that.
[4:03] Speaker 1: And according to her friends, like she didn't really have
[4:06] Speaker 1: much to show, you know, it's not like she went
[4:09] Speaker 1: and bought five hundred thousand dollars worth of anything like
[4:12] Speaker 1: there was there was nothing. It's like that money just vanished.
[4:19] Speaker 1: And to me, I think if the police are able
[4:22] Speaker 1: to follow that money, they could at least find new
[4:27] Speaker 1: leads or new suspects or I don't know. It just
[4:29] Speaker 1: feels like since we discovered how much Katie received in
[4:33] Speaker 1: that divorced settlement from an ex husband I'm told was
[4:37] Speaker 1: a decent guy and wanted to look after her after
[4:41] Speaker 1: their breakup, it's like, where is it, Like what happened?
[4:47] Speaker 1: Like I don't know. It just feels that could be
[4:50] Speaker 1: potentially the key to finding out something. But the sad
[4:55] Speaker 1: reality is the police who are aware of this money
[4:59] Speaker 1: and the fact that it's no longer anywhere. They still
[5:03] Speaker 1: do not care and as we know, they don't care
[5:06] Speaker 1: to investigate anything locally here in Sydney, and they haven't
[5:10] Speaker 1: cared to investigate the incident in Dubaide, despite Katie's family
[5:14] Speaker 1: saying this is the hotel, this is how you contact
[5:18] Speaker 1: the hotel, and here's the time and date Katie was
[5:20] Speaker 1: there when the incident occurred, with that mind I spoke
[5:22] Speaker 1: about in a previous episode. So therefore, you know, it's
[5:26] Speaker 1: fair to say the police are also not going to
[5:28] Speaker 1: care now to be contacting an American bank to try
[5:31] Speaker 1: and retrieve bank statements and records, which again is just
[5:35] Speaker 1: so frustrating because it feels like every time there's a
[5:39] Speaker 1: new piece of evidence that could lead to some of
[5:43] Speaker 1: these many unanswered questions being answered. It also goes back
[5:48] Speaker 1: to the police need to be the ones to actually
[5:51] Speaker 1: get the answers, and they just don't care. There's many
[5:56] Speaker 1: other thoughts, feelings and unsubstantiated theories from k ees friends
[6:01] Speaker 1: and families. I wish I could share right now too,
[6:04] Speaker 1: but I can't because, as I just said, at this moment,
[6:07] Speaker 1: they are just theories with a noticeable lack of evidence
[6:11] Speaker 1: and they have theories that yes, are being shared with
[6:13] Speaker 1: the police in the hope that the police would then
[6:15] Speaker 1: actually do some investigating, and you know, me sharing that
[6:20] Speaker 1: would not just be legally irresponsible, but it could hinder
[6:24] Speaker 1: the chances of the police then looking into these things,
[6:28] Speaker 1: because I would then be accused of interfering with an
[6:30] Speaker 1: active investigation, despite at this moment there being nothing active
[6:35] Speaker 1: about the police's investigation, which again everything is just frustrating.
[6:39] Speaker 1: It's like a constant circle of me, the prior investigator,
[6:43] Speaker 1: or the family. We do a bit of digging ourselves,
[6:46] Speaker 1: we discover something new, we try to find an answer
[6:50] Speaker 1: through that, we get to a brick wall that the
[6:52] Speaker 1: police can only then get through, but the police ignorers
[6:56] Speaker 1: and then it's just a dead end, and then we
[6:58] Speaker 1: find something else, and it's just this contant cycle of
[7:01] Speaker 1: the same disappointment thanks to New South Wales Police. Another
[7:05] Speaker 1: reason also there's been a noticeable lack of posts on
[7:08] Speaker 1: here lately is because, and I'll be completely honest, I've
[7:13] Speaker 1: struggled to find the time that I had at the
[7:15] Speaker 1: start of this little investigation because and as sad as
[7:19] Speaker 1: it is to say out loud, life does move on.
[7:23] Speaker 1: Although it doesn't move on quite the same way for
[7:26] Speaker 1: you and I as it does for Katie's family, who
[7:29] Speaker 1: are still out there desperately wanting answers. And that doesn't
[7:33] Speaker 1: mean that I've forgotten Katie or this case at all,
[7:36] Speaker 1: far from it, because Katie is some when I still
[7:38] Speaker 1: think about daily and every day. I'm still receiving so
[7:42] Speaker 1: many messages from people now actually all around the world,
[7:45] Speaker 1: hoping I have some kind of answer or update, which
[7:49] Speaker 1: I don't know. But today was my first day off
[7:53] Speaker 1: from work in almost three weeks. I've been doing like
[7:57] Speaker 1: a rather ambitious project which has taken up like sometimes
[8:01] Speaker 1: until fourteen fifteen hours a day, which is why I
[8:04] Speaker 1: haven't had time to get back on here. But today,
[8:06] Speaker 1: for my day off, the first thing that I did
[8:09] Speaker 1: was I got up, I went for a walk, and
[8:12] Speaker 1: I went to Tamarama, and I went back onto Alexander
[8:16] Speaker 1: Street with Casey on my mind like always, and I
[8:19] Speaker 1: just reflected on everything I've learned through this series and
[8:25] Speaker 1: speaking to Katie's family while retracing her steps once again.
[8:30] Speaker 1: I'm back here for the first time in a few
[8:34] Speaker 1: weeks now, and like nothing's changed since I was first
[8:37] Speaker 1: here and first retraced Katie's steps two months ago now,
[8:40] Speaker 1: and like, I don't know if you can hear people
[8:43] Speaker 1: around me. I'm kind of stood back, but you know,
[8:45] Speaker 1: there's so many people here again, passing me by. I
[8:49] Speaker 1: can see the traders who are working on the house,
[8:51] Speaker 1: these cars like driving through, and like just so many
[8:57] Speaker 1: people like going about their own business. And yeah, like
[9:02] Speaker 1: nothing has changed. Actually no, no, that's not true. Something
[9:08] Speaker 1: has changed since I was first here. And that's the
[9:11] Speaker 1: fact that like a lot of people who live in
[9:15] Speaker 1: this area now and you know, walk this path daily,
[9:19] Speaker 1: and even the people who live on the street have
[9:21] Speaker 1: just stepped off, like a lot of them now are
[9:24] Speaker 1: aware of Katie and aware of her story. And that's
[9:27] Speaker 1: thanks to you guys for helping, you know, get this
[9:30] Speaker 1: podcast and content out there and help get the mainstream
[9:33] Speaker 1: media to take notice. And you know, all those people,
[9:37] Speaker 1: like these people around me now who are aware, like
[9:40] Speaker 1: they have all been horrified by, you know, just this
[9:44] Speaker 1: realization that this little slice of heaven here isn't like
[9:50] Speaker 1: the safe, care free paradise they maybe once for it wasn't.
[9:55] Speaker 1: You know, bad things can happen here and have happened here,
[9:58] Speaker 1: and you know, they've also been left horrified as they've
[10:02] Speaker 1: heard about the lack of action from the police and
[10:06] Speaker 1: everything I've spoken about on this podcast, and even that
[10:08] Speaker 1: initial lack of care from the mainstream media until you know,
[10:12] Speaker 1: the response from you guys kind of made them have
[10:15] Speaker 1: to take notice. But then again, like I'm on like
[10:18] Speaker 1: the top of the cliff at the side now, like
[10:20] Speaker 1: just just off the path, But I can see so
[10:22] Speaker 1: many people here now. And the thing is, even these
[10:26] Speaker 1: people who are aware of Katie's story and what happened,
[10:30] Speaker 1: I suppose to them it is just a story, and
[10:37] Speaker 1: it's something that did shock them and horrify them and
[10:40] Speaker 1: potentially scare them. But I suppose it's also something the
[10:43] Speaker 1: majority of them are not thinking about daily or loosing sleepover,
[10:48] Speaker 1: And if there is never an outcome to this, it's
[10:52] Speaker 1: not something that would likely in a year's time even
[10:55] Speaker 1: think about again unless they're forced to buy, you know,
[10:57] Speaker 1: a new story or something. And and I suppose it's
[11:01] Speaker 1: just sad again just being here looking at these people
[11:04] Speaker 1: and thinking they've all already moved on. Yeah, But then
[11:12] Speaker 1: for Casey's family like that, they'll never be able to
[11:14] Speaker 1: do that. And even now as these podcasts for me
[11:18] Speaker 1: have become less frequent, and the articles in the press
[11:21] Speaker 1: have stopped once again. Like this story is still doesn't
[11:25] Speaker 1: like it. It's not even a say story, but it's
[11:27] Speaker 1: not a story. It's real life. It's a real person.
[11:30] Speaker 1: But like this, there is no ending. And her family
[11:36] Speaker 1: they still haven't got to say goodbye or you know,
[11:40] Speaker 1: there's no grave to visit or sense of comfort from
[11:44] Speaker 1: just knowing what happened either way. And I suppose all
[11:49] Speaker 1: Casey's family really have at this point in time is
[11:53] Speaker 1: more unanswered questions than ever before and just an empty
[11:59] Speaker 1: space in their life from where Katie once was and
[12:05] Speaker 1: should be. And now I suppose that empty space they
[12:07] Speaker 1: want to fill with just some kind of answers that
[12:12] Speaker 1: can give them closure. And yeah, just been here again
[12:18] Speaker 1: now again, just sat on this rock looking at all
[12:21] Speaker 1: these people sad. You may have noticed that in this
[12:27] Speaker 1: podcast series, I've started pretty much every episode except this
[12:30] Speaker 1: one by saying this is a podcast series I wish
[12:33] Speaker 1: I wasn't making, which is true, and I now wish
[12:36] Speaker 1: I could end this episode by saying, this is the
[12:40] Speaker 1: last episode in this series I wish I wasn't making,
[12:43] Speaker 1: and I could end this now officially with answers that
[12:46] Speaker 1: would at least give Katie's loved ones some of the
[12:49] Speaker 1: closure they've been looking for, but I can't because we
[12:53] Speaker 1: still do not have that, which again is just so
[12:58] Speaker 1: frustrating that I think that's the theme of this episode,
[13:00] Speaker 1: just a growing frustration. But for now, this is the
[13:05] Speaker 1: last episode until there is something more significant to say,
[13:10] Speaker 1: which I hope I will have very soon, and I
[13:13] Speaker 1: can get behind this microphone and give you some news,
[13:17] Speaker 1: whether that's good news or sad news, that would at
[13:20] Speaker 1: least bring closure, just something, And please don't excuse the
[13:24] Speaker 1: silence on this feed until then as Katie being forgotten, Like,
[13:29] Speaker 1: if anything, it's quite the opposite. As she's currently now
[13:33] Speaker 1: and thanks to you all for helping share this podcast
[13:36] Speaker 1: in my post and get in the mainstream media aware.
[13:39] Speaker 1: Like you know, it's quite the opposite. Katie is far
[13:44] Speaker 1: from being forgotten, because again, thanks to you guys, she's
[13:48] Speaker 1: now more remembered than ever
