[0:00] Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to the Maths twenty podcast, and
[0:02] Speaker 1: welcome to your first episode in what feels like forever,
[0:05] Speaker 1: but realistically it's well like a week and a half.
[0:08] Speaker 1: I would like to apologize for the brief absence, and
[0:11] Speaker 1: I'll just be fully honest with you here and say
[0:13] Speaker 1: I have been quite burnt out, a little sick, and
[0:18] Speaker 1: just like lately, I've had the biggest or some of
[0:21] Speaker 1: the biggest projects of my career all happening at once.
[0:25] Speaker 1: And that's because I do actually have a day job
[0:27] Speaker 1: away from like my podcasts, which is Pedro and I
[0:30] Speaker 1: my business partner. We run a small production company in Sydney,
[0:34] Speaker 1: and like some clients come to us and they want
[0:37] Speaker 1: some strategy for social media. Some are launching a podcast
[0:39] Speaker 1: and want us to do a strategy for that or
[0:42] Speaker 1: help them produce that, and maybe they want to use
[0:44] Speaker 1: our space to film or some of the crew we have,
[0:46] Speaker 1: or we offer all different various types of things. And
[0:49] Speaker 1: that is yes, how I pay my bills, and yes
[0:52] Speaker 1: I make an income from podcasting, but it's not huge
[0:56] Speaker 1: or it's not enough to do full time. And I've
[0:58] Speaker 1: realized lately, which I kind of don't like to admit,
[1:02] Speaker 1: but there's only so much I can do, and one
[1:04] Speaker 1: person can do. There's only so many hours in the day,
[1:07] Speaker 1: and I've been trying to do too much to the
[1:10] Speaker 1: point that I have been sick and then having to
[1:13] Speaker 1: do the other projects while sick, and my body hasn't
[1:16] Speaker 1: been able to recover, and it got to the point
[1:18] Speaker 1: where I just had to go, Okay, I have to
[1:20] Speaker 1: pause some things for the sake of my own health.
[1:23] Speaker 1: And you can maybe hearing my voice now, I'm still
[1:26] Speaker 1: not one hundred percent there, but hey, we're getting there.
[1:30] Speaker 1: All is good. And I'm annoyed that I haven't been
[1:32] Speaker 1: able to do this specific podcast now because almost a
[1:35] Speaker 1: week ago Daily Mail dropped the full lineup to this
[1:39] Speaker 1: year's lineup as if it's a festival, the full cast
[1:41] Speaker 1: to this year, well next year's maths. And I've been
[1:45] Speaker 1: dying to sit behind this microphone have us scroll through
[1:48] Speaker 1: and just judge them and roast them and make my
[1:52] Speaker 1: absolute baseless assumption is just off the brief bios that
[1:56] Speaker 1: are out there, And yeah, this is enough of a
[1:59] Speaker 1: ramble intro from mey, let's do it. Before we get
[2:04] Speaker 1: to the cast. The new Relationship Expert has been reviewed
[2:09] Speaker 1: following Mel Shillings sad passing in this. To me, it
[2:13] Speaker 1: still feels a bit weird to imagine a show without
[2:16] Speaker 1: Mel because she's been just she has been in the
[2:18] Speaker 1: show for so long, like she's kind of like part
[2:20] Speaker 1: of the furniture, and yeah, this is sad. The new
[2:24] Speaker 1: expert is called doctor Love, not a joke, that's what
[2:29] Speaker 1: she's called. Legally, not sure, but she spells it doctor
[2:34] Speaker 1: Love like l U r v E, which like, she
[2:38] Speaker 1: seems lovely. I've had a scroll, I've listened to a
[2:40] Speaker 1: few podcasts. She seems lovely. But to me, that name,
[2:43] Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest, it's a nick.
[2:45] Speaker 2: My name is doctor Love, and I'm a relationship expert,
[2:48] Speaker 2: and I'm someone who's also been exactly where you are
[2:51] Speaker 2: right now.
[2:52] Speaker 1: And her Instagram bio is Australia's number one relationship expert,
[2:56] Speaker 1: which I always wonder when people said that, like who
[3:00] Speaker 1: gave you that title? How do you know you number one?
[3:03] Speaker 1: And I want the first episode of Maths next season
[3:05] Speaker 1: her to sit with John and go actually, John, I'm
[3:07] Speaker 1: the number one relationship expert. And again, sorry, I'm not
[3:11] Speaker 1: taking the piss Doctor Love. Actually I can't say that
[3:14] Speaker 1: about laughing because you do seem lovely. So let's you know,
[3:17] Speaker 1: here's a bit of Doctor Love.
[3:19] Speaker 3: The women that have men that don't commit are also
[3:21] Speaker 3: the women that have one foot in, one foot out.
[3:23] Speaker 3: Doctor Love Australia is leading love and relationship coach.
[3:27] Speaker 4: I hear from women all the time. They're like, men
[3:29] Speaker 4: just don't commit.
[3:30] Speaker 3: You are what you attract, right, It could be a
[3:32] Speaker 3: really good excuse for some women to say I can't
[3:35] Speaker 3: find a man. They're intimidated by my wealth, my success,
[3:38] Speaker 3: or my confidence or my beauty. That's rubbish. No one
[3:42] Speaker 3: likes people pleasers, not just women.
[3:43] Speaker 1: Do you find most men are emotionally unavailable? So a
[3:46] Speaker 1: lot of men have learnt to be the thing with
[3:49] Speaker 1: Doctor Love. And she's probably had this internal conflict herself
[3:53] Speaker 1: that her going on a show of this size and
[3:55] Speaker 1: scale is like the biggest advert she's going to get
[3:58] Speaker 1: for her services relationship and like do people actually pay
[4:01] Speaker 1: these people? Like what is it?
[4:03] Speaker 5: Like?
[4:03] Speaker 1: What does a relationship expert do day to day? Other
[4:06] Speaker 1: then go on podcasts and work on maths, like the
[4:10] Speaker 1: couples actually go to her. Maybe I'm going to research that.
[4:13] Speaker 2: In this free masterclass, you'll learn how your nervous system
[4:17] Speaker 2: is actually trying to protect you, and how to gently
[4:20] Speaker 2: rewire it for safety, calm and clarity. This isn't about
[4:24] Speaker 2: getting over someone overnight. It's not about jumping online and
[4:28] Speaker 2: dating tomorrow. This is about understanding why it's been so
[4:32] Speaker 2: hard for you.
[4:33] Speaker 5: To let go.
[4:34] Speaker 1: Well, essentially, yes, the internal conflict I assume she's had
[4:37] Speaker 1: in a head of whether to accept this job is
[4:39] Speaker 1: great advertisement, but is it going to kind of ruin
[4:43] Speaker 1: her integrity because we are not the success right on?
[4:45] Speaker 1: This show? Is well, it's shit, isn't it. Yeah? Anyway,
[4:49] Speaker 1: time will tell how Doctor Love goes. Now let's move
[4:53] Speaker 1: on to the cast. And you know how every year
[4:56] Speaker 1: they seem to just find a group of people who
[4:58] Speaker 1: have all been on reality television before, or have blue
[5:00] Speaker 1: ticks on Instagram or a role just a little more
[5:03] Speaker 1: on the fame hungry side of life. Have they done
[5:08] Speaker 1: that again?
[5:10] Speaker 4: Uh?
[5:11] Speaker 1: It looks like it, because let's start with a bloke
[5:14] Speaker 1: called Connor. And for Connor, this isn't his first attempt
[5:17] Speaker 1: at finding love on reality television because he previously appeared
[5:20] Speaker 1: like a year or so ago on a British show
[5:23] Speaker 1: called Dating Naked, which, yeah, it does exactly what it
[5:29] Speaker 1: says in the title Imagine Love Island, but everyone's got
[5:33] Speaker 1: the cock out. After Connor film that show and returned
[5:37] Speaker 1: back to Australia, he went on Fifi and feav in
[5:40] Speaker 1: Melbourne to talk about it and you know, we explained
[5:43] Speaker 1: he was approached and he thought, why not.
[5:46] Speaker 5: Well they they actually approached May asking hey, May, like,
[5:50] Speaker 5: we've seen some of your stuff and we wouldn't mind
[5:52] Speaker 5: you getting your kid off in Panama for a month.
[5:55] Speaker 5: And for me, you like, on my day job, I'm
[5:57] Speaker 5: just working in a fabric factory out in Seton and
[6:00] Speaker 5: I was having to look at the concrete jungle there
[6:02] Speaker 5: and I thought, I love the boys in here and
[6:05] Speaker 5: the free party fires we get on Smoker on a Friday,
[6:07] Speaker 5: but I think a few naked bodies in Panama might
[6:10] Speaker 5: be a bit more appealing. Wow, And okay, so I've
[6:15] Speaker 5: seen the first step and Connor, You're already might have
[6:18] Speaker 5: found love. I don't know where it goes, but is
[6:21] Speaker 5: did you make a connection there?
[6:23] Speaker 1: During the interview new Groom, Connor also explained how the
[6:26] Speaker 1: nakedness it really helped him get to know his cast
[6:29] Speaker 1: on that show and potential partners and now it's got
[6:33] Speaker 1: me thinking, well, Jack and is just going to like,
[6:36] Speaker 1: is this going to be a twist that he's wedding
[6:38] Speaker 1: a mass? Is he just going to arrive with his cockaul?
[6:41] Speaker 5: You know what it is? Actually? You know, I thought
[6:43] Speaker 5: it was a bit of a gimmick, the whole getting
[6:45] Speaker 5: naked thing. But once you have your kid off, your
[6:48] Speaker 5: mind has nowhere left to one day in sort of
[6:51] Speaker 5: the sexual department, so you do sort of focus on
[6:54] Speaker 5: them really as a person. So it does actually allow
[6:58] Speaker 5: a pretty fruitful place for romance to blossoms. So pretty
[7:02] Speaker 5: quickly you do get to know people better than you
[7:04] Speaker 5: ever thought you would.
[7:05] Speaker 1: And also during that radio interview, Connor went onto detail
[7:08] Speaker 1: how erections worked on that naked dating show, which was
[7:15] Speaker 1: anybody wondering that there not really but no, he's no,
[7:19] Speaker 1: it's being brought up I suppose. Yeah, go on, Connor,
[7:22] Speaker 1: lets us.
[7:23] Speaker 6: Know thinking about things that blossom. Now when you get
[7:27] Speaker 6: when you walk around and you see a beautiful lady
[7:31] Speaker 6: and she's standing there and she's got no clothes on,
[7:33] Speaker 6: and then the third leg gets a bit excited, does
[7:36] Speaker 6: it just go up? Well, what happens? How do you
[7:38] Speaker 6: stop that?
[7:39] Speaker 5: You know, what mate. There wasn't actually a single random
[7:43] Speaker 5: raging hard on for the whole process on the show.
[7:46] Speaker 5: There wasn't one like, well, you'd be cooking, you're breaking
[7:49] Speaker 5: and a beautiful new woman would walk in. And it's
[7:51] Speaker 5: not like you get too excited. When you would get
[7:54] Speaker 5: excited is when you've just had an unbelievable date and
[7:57] Speaker 5: you're getting a little bit hot and steaming personally. But
[8:00] Speaker 5: you know, if you didn't get a little bit of rares,
[8:02] Speaker 5: then you'd have to probably question yourself there.
[8:04] Speaker 1: I Reckon Connor is also a former football player who
[8:08] Speaker 1: apparently had to quit that because he had what a
[8:09] Speaker 1: new idea say, a catastrophic knee injury, which is quite
[8:13] Speaker 1: the word to refer to an injury. And he's matched
[8:16] Speaker 1: with a lady called Leanne who's a reformer Plarti's instructor
[8:21] Speaker 1: in Melbourne and from what I can see from this
[8:24] Speaker 1: one article, she has not previously appeared on any naked
[8:28] Speaker 1: based reality shows. Great Moving On And just like every
[8:32] Speaker 1: other year, there is indeed an actor on the show,
[8:35] Speaker 1: or should I say actrest is a lady called Serena
[8:37] Speaker 1: who works in theater. Every year, Yeah, we have someone
[8:41] Speaker 1: with a bit of a performing art background. She's been
[8:44] Speaker 1: matched with a bloke called Tim Bates, who appeared on
[8:48] Speaker 1: Million Dollar Island in twenty twenty three, because of course
[8:51] Speaker 1: he did away from trying to be on reality shows.
[8:54] Speaker 1: Tim is a Brisbane cafe owner and a source tells
[8:57] Speaker 1: a new idea. They've been on their honeymoon and film
[9:00] Speaker 1: their honesty box. Great intel there, yep, well that's kind
[9:04] Speaker 1: of what happens is the as the show goes along
[9:06] Speaker 1: at this stage? Oh no, the source goes on to say,
[9:08] Speaker 1: they actually seem to be going really well. Safe to
[9:13] Speaker 1: say the source of this article is either Serena or Tim.
[9:16] Speaker 1: The next couple is Rob Harp and Sophie Vidal, and
[9:20] Speaker 1: according to Daily Mel, Rob may be the loudest groom
[9:23] Speaker 1: in the experiment, but those close to him say he
[9:26] Speaker 1: doesn't need to raise his voice to command respect, and
[9:30] Speaker 1: that reads like chatchipt. He's apparently a footy player who
[9:34] Speaker 1: is calm, measured and grounded, with a strong work ethic
[9:38] Speaker 1: and close to his family. Oh why do all these
[9:40] Speaker 1: quotes sound like they comes straight from the people. He's
[9:43] Speaker 1: been matched with a tattooed bombshell called Sophie who sauces
[9:48] Speaker 1: tell Daily Mel He's been matched with because she has
[9:51] Speaker 1: a fiery side which is likely to emerge if somebody
[9:54] Speaker 1: crosses her, and I'll probably give it one episode until
[9:58] Speaker 1: somebody crosses her. Next couple is Jay and Kats, who
[10:03] Speaker 1: I assume are going to be known as Jaycat and
[10:06] Speaker 1: James has a background in did You Still marketing and
[10:08] Speaker 1: has worked with major brands to build online engagement and
[10:11] Speaker 1: increase revenue, which sounds like James is an aspiring influencer.
[10:16] Speaker 1: The experience has made him more conscious than most how
[10:19] Speaker 1: people present themselves, so that means he's going to be well,
[10:22] Speaker 1: I'd say a bit fake if he's like very conscious
[10:24] Speaker 1: and marketing in himself. He has a distinctive sense of style,
[10:28] Speaker 1: which and a strong interest in fashion of music. James
[10:31] Speaker 1: just sounds like every person in the world likes fashion
[10:33] Speaker 1: of music, what likes putting clothes on and putting spotifi on?
[10:37] Speaker 1: And he's matched with Yeah, Kat, who is a nurse
[10:39] Speaker 1: who previously worked in the United Kingdom during the COVID pandemic.
[10:44] Speaker 1: These articles often feel like the journalists right, and then
[10:47] Speaker 1: they just write the only bits of information they can
[10:50] Speaker 1: scrape about these people, like that's so random. James has
[10:54] Speaker 1: a strong interest in fashion of music, presumably because they've
[10:56] Speaker 1: gone down his Instagram and someone's gone, oh, that's it.
[10:59] Speaker 1: That shit a bit fruit, isn't it. Oh he went
[11:01] Speaker 1: to a concert one all right, fashion and music, that's
[11:04] Speaker 1: that guy. And then they've had a look at what
[11:06] Speaker 1: cat as She probably posted a picture of a COVID
[11:08] Speaker 1: mask in a hospital she worked in the UK during
[11:11] Speaker 1: the pandemic. Next couple, we've got Bella and Chris. And
[11:14] Speaker 1: just so you know, this episode, I've got no script whatsoever.
[11:17] Speaker 1: I'm just reading these articles as a girl. Chris is
[11:20] Speaker 1: described as athletic, tattooed, and intensely confident, which is quite
[11:26] Speaker 1: the word, like it's good to be confident, but intensely confident,
[11:30] Speaker 1: so he's that just arrogant. Chris is the background in football,
[11:33] Speaker 1: boxing and fitness. He's said to be direct and uncomplicated,
[11:37] Speaker 1: and he's fiercely loyal and protective of the people he loves.
[11:42] Speaker 1: I'm not getting good vibes about him this article World
[11:46] Speaker 1: and Deli mal because this is so shady. Chris has
[11:50] Speaker 1: been paired with actress and model Bella. Bella has a
[11:54] Speaker 1: previous IMDb credit for playing a tart in the TV
[11:58] Speaker 1: movie does celebrate Anders the experiment with around ten thousand
[12:03] Speaker 1: Instagram followers, making her the most followed bride identified in
[12:07] Speaker 1: the early Sorry played a tart? Are we talking like
[12:12] Speaker 1: the sweet dessert or tart as in the UK? I'd
[12:16] Speaker 1: say slur or insult for like a provocative woman because
[12:20] Speaker 1: in my head I like the idea that in her
[12:23] Speaker 1: one acting role as an actress, which she's been described as,
[12:27] Speaker 1: she was just like literally dressed up as a baked
[12:29] Speaker 1: pastry dessert. I'm so tired that I'm just laughing at nothing.
[12:36] Speaker 1: Bella is also socially connected. Socially connected? What does that mean?
[12:40] Speaker 1: She's got friends? Aren't we all socially connected unless you
[12:43] Speaker 1: live in a hole and never leave the house. She's
[12:46] Speaker 1: also confident art, and she's mates with several adult content creators,
[12:51] Speaker 1: which all right, when when did anyone ask? With these articles?
[12:56] Speaker 1: When cast members are introduced, she can often like read
[12:59] Speaker 1: between the lad minds of what they're trying to say
[13:01] Speaker 1: or what they're trying to imply. People are I'm from this,
[13:03] Speaker 1: I'm kind of getting vibes Bella implying she maybe the villain.
[13:09] Speaker 1: You know, she's friends with sex workers, and she played
[13:12] Speaker 1: a tart in a movie once, and she's got ten
[13:14] Speaker 1: thousand followers already, which like, are all things that the
[13:18] Speaker 1: average view would go, well, well, she's not there for
[13:20] Speaker 1: the right reasons, is she all right?
[13:22] Speaker 5: Who?
[13:23] Speaker 1: I'm enjoying this podcast now, I'm gonna stop doing scripts.
[13:26] Speaker 1: Next up, we've got Kin and Kristen Art. This is
[13:29] Speaker 1: the couple whose wedding I went to and I got
[13:31] Speaker 1: into the water on that inflatable mattress. And I said
[13:34] Speaker 1: in my previous podcast how he once appeared on the
[13:36] Speaker 1: Bachelorette and he's now known to most people as the
[13:39] Speaker 1: Hey honey man on Instagram, where he basically starts every
[13:44] Speaker 1: TikTok and video saying hey honey. And he also has
[13:47] Speaker 1: like a business with speed dating and matching people. And
[13:49] Speaker 1: one thing interesting again I touched on in the last
[13:52] Speaker 1: but I'm going to go into more now, is he
[13:55] Speaker 1: refers to himself as a relationship expert giving relationship advice.
[13:59] Speaker 1: And I think it's funny is since he's joined the
[14:02] Speaker 1: experiment and he's now in Sydney filming, it's been like,
[14:04] Speaker 1: what three weeks, He's still posting content on his socials
[14:08] Speaker 1: almost every other day offering relationship advice to other people,
[14:14] Speaker 1: despite now being on a show where he's been matched
[14:16] Speaker 1: with a stranger and he's getting his own advice fro
[14:18] Speaker 1: him over it Like it doesn't make sense. None of
[14:21] Speaker 1: this show makes sense if we're being honest. Anyway, Here's
[14:25] Speaker 1: the first video he posted last week while still in
[14:27] Speaker 1: Sydney filming maths, but you know he found some time
[14:30] Speaker 1: to record and post this.
[14:33] Speaker 4: Hi, honey, some men are going to pick you up
[14:36] Speaker 4: when you have sore fake other men they're gonna be
[14:40] Speaker 4: like I warned you about those heels. So choose a
[14:45] Speaker 4: man that's gonna lift you up.
[14:46] Speaker 1: It's a man. I'm just gonna turn this off because
[14:48] Speaker 1: it's I don't want to say it's cringe, because I
[14:51] Speaker 1: can see in the comments like a lot of women
[14:53] Speaker 1: like this. But to me, it's just like, can you
[14:57] Speaker 1: please let me know if you find this like as
[14:59] Speaker 1: a woman thing. I get what he's doing and everything's
[15:03] Speaker 1: got a nice message and it's sweet, but like the
[15:07] Speaker 1: fact he's telling himself as a relationship expert while on
[15:10] Speaker 1: a show needing a relationship expert for himself, it all
[15:13] Speaker 1: just feels a bit disingenuous and a bit and a
[15:15] Speaker 1: bit weird, if I'm being honest, but I don't want
[15:18] Speaker 1: to judge in too much until we meet him on
[15:19] Speaker 1: the show. I meet him probably in real life. So
[15:21] Speaker 1: you know, let's next, Let's look at the next video
[15:24] Speaker 1: he's posted a while in Sydney filming this show.
[15:26] Speaker 4: Hey, honey, I have the perfect sentence. You're going to
[15:30] Speaker 4: ask the guy you're dating, seeing, married to whatever, and
[15:34] Speaker 4: this is going to help figure out whether or not
[15:37] Speaker 4: he sees you as something important in his life. So
[15:41] Speaker 4: what you're going to do is ask him this, where
[15:44] Speaker 4: do you see yourself in the next five years? And
[15:47] Speaker 4: if he doesn't answer with you know anything, that says
[15:51] Speaker 4: us we all that kind of stuff. He isn't thinking
[15:56] Speaker 4: long term about you. And this is mainly specific for
[15:59] Speaker 4: people who are just out in relationships or a dating
[16:03] Speaker 4: Where do you see yourself? They're not saying they're not
[16:05] Speaker 4: thinking about having kids and all that kind of stuff.
[16:09] Speaker 4: Run okay, I just wanted to give you that a
[16:13] Speaker 4: little bit of advice, and now go give it a
[16:14] Speaker 4: crack and let me know how you go.
[16:17] Speaker 1: Love you all right, Well, you've just said let me
[16:19] Speaker 1: know how you go. So this morning I put your
[16:22] Speaker 1: advice to the test. Now, I don't have a significant
[16:24] Speaker 1: over of my own to ask, But what I do
[16:27] Speaker 1: have is a work colleague, business partner, Peedo, who half
[16:30] Speaker 1: the time I can barely tolerate. But he's the closest
[16:34] Speaker 1: of God. So here's me testing your magic question. What
[16:38] Speaker 1: are you saying? Oh no, I was just thinking, where
[16:41] Speaker 1: do you see yourself in five years? Those stupid questions
[16:45] Speaker 1: are what do you mean? I don't look at the future.
[16:47] Speaker 1: I'll just go with the flow my life. Where do
[16:49] Speaker 1: you see yourself? I don't know. Do you see me?
[16:53] Speaker 5: Yeah?
[16:54] Speaker 1: You don't see me? That's okay. If you don't against you,
[17:01] Speaker 1: that's you've got to jump off to. Fucking So do
[17:03] Speaker 1: you see me in five years?
[17:05] Speaker 4: Yeah?
[17:05] Speaker 1: Why together a couple in business? Yes, I mean it
[17:13] Speaker 1: kind of worked. Petro mentioned me. It's a bit awkward
[17:15] Speaker 1: asking him that in the office, to be honest. Anyway,
[17:17] Speaker 1: here's the last video he's posted while you know, still
[17:20] Speaker 1: in Sydney filming the show and finding time to film.
[17:23] Speaker 1: He's inspirational. Hey honey, Hi honey, I just.
[17:26] Speaker 4: Want to say something to you real quick. You're doing
[17:30] Speaker 4: really well, and you're so hard and you've got it
[17:35] Speaker 4: all happening.
[17:37] Speaker 1: You know what I can see, like just from the
[17:39] Speaker 1: comments and the amount of followers he's got, Like so
[17:42] Speaker 1: many women do love this man, and you know, the
[17:45] Speaker 1: content appeals to so many people. I get that, and
[17:47] Speaker 1: he seems like a nice enough dude. But is everything
[17:51] Speaker 1: he's saying as sweet and romantic as everybody thinks it is?
[17:55] Speaker 1: Or does he just have like an impeccable choice of
[17:58] Speaker 1: music for every video because every music has that very sweet,
[18:02] Speaker 1: soft inspirational bed behind it where you know, it really
[18:06] Speaker 1: gets you in the fields. But for example, what if I,
[18:10] Speaker 1: in my edit now take that away and add a
[18:13] Speaker 1: different style of music, would it still be as sweet
[18:17] Speaker 1: if I added maybe a sexual bet Hi, honey, I.
[18:22] Speaker 4: Just want to say something to you real quick. You're
[18:26] Speaker 4: doing really well and you're so hot, and you've got
[18:31] Speaker 4: it all happening.
[18:32] Speaker 1: See, it's not quite as charming, there is it. Let's
[18:35] Speaker 1: be honest. Sorry, that's my cold. I'm a bit sniffy. Actually.
[18:40] Speaker 1: You know who Caine reminds me of with these videos
[18:43] Speaker 1: and who would be his perfect march doctor love Love
[18:48] Speaker 1: with a oh and a year and however you spell it?
[18:51] Speaker 2: If you're still thinking about someone who hurt you. No,
[18:54] Speaker 2: you're not weak and know you're not broken.
[18:57] Speaker 1: So that'd be quite the plot twist, wouldn't it. Imagine
[18:59] Speaker 1: that too end up hooking up Like they're both kind
[19:02] Speaker 1: of doing same thing. Well, they both think the relationship experts, Well,
[19:06] Speaker 1: they don't think one is now a qualified one on
[19:08] Speaker 1: one's on TikTok doing it. But they both like seem
[19:11] Speaker 1: to have similar mindset, similar vibes, similar content. Is that
[19:15] Speaker 1: is that all we need in this day and age
[19:17] Speaker 1: to find our person? Similar tiktoks? Moving on now, and sorry,
[19:22] Speaker 1: this podcast is dragging on a bit and I can
[19:24] Speaker 1: feel my voice starting to go. This is then Sydney
[19:27] Speaker 1: hospitality operator Stephen, who's expected to be one of the
[19:31] Speaker 1: most confident. Why are all the grooms the most confident
[19:34] Speaker 1: person ever? And yeah, Steven's energetic, approachable and street smart.
[19:40] Speaker 1: What does that even mean? Street smart? Let me google it?
[19:43] Speaker 1: What does street smart mean? Street smart means having practical knowledge,
[19:50] Speaker 1: common sense, and quick thinking to survive or succeed in
[19:54] Speaker 1: daily life and urban environments. It relies on real world
[19:58] Speaker 1: experiences rather than normal schooling. All right, well, that's good
[20:02] Speaker 1: to know Stephen is he's he can survive out there
[20:05] Speaker 1: on the on the main streets of where's he from
[20:08] Speaker 1: Sydney's eastern suburbs, of course, those notoriously dangerous streets, billionaires
[20:14] Speaker 1: and mansions, backpackers. Who's he been match with? He's been
[20:19] Speaker 1: matched with Sarah Jane Combon combon and what the media
[20:24] Speaker 1: is saying. She is so far in men one of
[20:26] Speaker 1: the season's more mysterious brides, which means the Google I
[20:30] Speaker 1: couldn't find anything. So she's a mystery to them and me. No,
[20:34] Speaker 1: I suppose because I'm just reading their articles because I've
[20:37] Speaker 1: had no time to do my own research. And then
[20:39] Speaker 1: someone else says, meanwhile, details about Sarah Jane's background remain
[20:44] Speaker 1: closely guarded. Why they implying like, you know, she's for
[20:47] Speaker 1: the FBI or something, you know, like closely guarded top
[20:51] Speaker 1: secret agencies. No, she just locked her Instagram and you
[20:54] Speaker 1: can't find anything else. Next Lily Hollocks and James Smith.
[20:59] Speaker 1: James Smith is a classic Bondai Alarican. He's friendly, larger
[21:04] Speaker 1: than Lie. He's not described as confident. He is described
[21:08] Speaker 1: as likely to become the life of any dinner party.
[21:10] Speaker 1: So he's just a nice guy who everyone likes, really
[21:13] Speaker 1: and He's been matched with Queensland beauty Lily Hollicks, who
[21:18] Speaker 1: works for the Australian government's Department of Climate Change, Energy
[21:22] Speaker 1: and the Environment and Water. I'm sorry on this show,
[21:28] Speaker 1: did she confuses as for the ABC or something? What's
[21:31] Speaker 1: Lily doing on here? We've got the Grettera Funburg of realities?
[21:35] Speaker 1: Is it Funburger Tunberg? We've got the Grettera Tunberg of
[21:39] Speaker 1: married at first sight. She's here to change her relationship
[21:43] Speaker 1: status and then change the world one dinner party at
[21:47] Speaker 1: a time.
[21:48] Speaker 3: I would say that it's very understandable to feel overwhelmed
[21:51] Speaker 3: because the things we're talking about, the things we're dealing with,
[21:55] Speaker 3: are existential threats to humanity.
[21:58] Speaker 1: According to Daily mel the match brings together James is
[22:01] Speaker 1: wild and larger than life. Bondi and what is Bondi energy?
[22:04] Speaker 1: I lived in Bondaye for two years. The Bondie energy
[22:07] Speaker 1: in the nicest wage just being a dickhead who thinks
[22:09] Speaker 1: she better than everyone else. I'll being a backpacker who
[22:12] Speaker 1: doesn't have a job, the two versions of Bondie energy,
[22:17] Speaker 1: and then and a bride who has built a career
[22:20] Speaker 1: inside one of the country's major government departments. You know
[22:25] Speaker 1: what I'm gonna say, These two are my favorites. Next up,
[22:29] Speaker 1: we've got Cody Wyatt and Winter Cunnington. I can't read today.
[22:35] Speaker 1: These are very gender ambiguous names because Cody is the
[22:38] Speaker 1: girl in this situation, but Cody could be a boy.
[22:40] Speaker 1: And Winter spelled w I n T a H like Winter,
[22:46] Speaker 1: but presumably pronounced winter. He's the groom in this situation.
[22:49] Speaker 1: And this, this is the couple. I also went to
[22:51] Speaker 1: their wedding. I only did two weddings this year. This
[22:54] Speaker 1: was one of them. This was the bride who looked
[22:56] Speaker 1: like she would rather be anywhere in the world as
[22:58] Speaker 1: she arrived, and then she kind of stopped then didn't
[23:00] Speaker 1: go inside for a while. Oh, and she's a cosmetic
[23:03] Speaker 1: nurse from Sydney. And the groom inside is Oh. He's
[23:07] Speaker 1: a father of two from the Byron Bay region who
[23:10] Speaker 1: previously worked as a coal minder. He is committed to
[23:13] Speaker 1: his faith, so religious, devoted to fitness, and exceptionally close
[23:18] Speaker 1: to his sisters. And I'm going to say something like
[23:21] Speaker 1: I don't like objectifying people, but you know, we all
[23:25] Speaker 1: have our favorites in life. We all have people we
[23:27] Speaker 1: find easy on the eye. And if I was to
[23:29] Speaker 1: be matched with any of these people from like just
[23:33] Speaker 1: looks essentially, if I had to do that photo ranking
[23:35] Speaker 1: challenge from these first pictures, This guy I think is
[23:39] Speaker 1: very handsome and that I would describe that as my type.
[23:43] Speaker 1: And know what else did it say about? Actually? Before
[23:45] Speaker 1: I say that, let me have a full read. Those
[23:47] Speaker 1: who have met him have described him as genuine, relaxed,
[23:50] Speaker 1: and easy going, although they believe there is considerable emotional
[23:55] Speaker 1: depth beneath his chilled exterior. Oh, he sounds like the dream.
[24:00] Speaker 1: I want my own winter, now, I want my own summer.
[24:04] Speaker 1: It's cold this week.
[24:06] Speaker 5: Oh.
[24:06] Speaker 1: And then lastly, there was the same sex female couple
[24:09] Speaker 1: who I was told they both identify as lesbian, and
[24:14] Speaker 1: I said that because one of their friends reached out
[24:16] Speaker 1: to say, Hey, I'm my lesbian friends on the show.
[24:18] Speaker 1: But then other press are saying they're like a bisexual match,
[24:22] Speaker 1: And I don't want to like wrongly label Victoria and
[24:27] Speaker 1: Shooner until I suppose they've publicly said what they are,
[24:29] Speaker 1: so I'm just gonna say they're a female same sex couple.
[24:32] Speaker 1: At this point, apparently both women were completely open about
[24:36] Speaker 1: who they could see themselves falling for. In terms of
[24:39] Speaker 1: a male or a female. But then that doesn't make
[24:41] Speaker 1: sense because one of the mates said, now me mates
[24:43] Speaker 1: a lesbian, so I don't know, and yeah, that's that's
[24:46] Speaker 1: the cast. I'm surprised actually, upon reflection that there's less
[24:50] Speaker 1: people with reality TV pass Like there's a couple who
[24:53] Speaker 1: have done bits of media and acting and followers and whatever,
[24:55] Speaker 1: but overall there seems to be less than in all
[25:00] Speaker 1: and actually there's not an Oh, where's the token old couple?
[25:03] Speaker 1: I haven't missed someone? Now this is everyone out there?
[25:06] Speaker 1: Oh my god, Channel nine are discriminating against people of age.
[25:13] Speaker 1: Technically everyone's a person of age. People of ages let's
[25:17] Speaker 1: say thirty eight and above, now forty and above? Oh no,
[25:21] Speaker 1: I did miss a couple. Who are these? Okay, Well
[25:24] Speaker 1: that's it. That's the group of people I'm going to
[25:26] Speaker 1: spend the next six months of my life discussing almost daily.
[25:31] Speaker 1: Do I sound thrilled about it? Not really, I'm I
[25:34] Speaker 1: going to get excited about it soon, of course I am.
[25:37] Speaker 1: I'm just as I've said many times, I'm overtired. My
[25:40] Speaker 1: voice is going. I've still got a cold, and I've
[25:43] Speaker 1: just fallen in love with a many cold Winter, who
[25:45] Speaker 1: doesn't know I actually probably doesn't know I exist because
[25:47] Speaker 1: I'm outside his wedding, but I didn't see him because
[25:49] Speaker 1: he was inside Winter. If you're listening and you don't
[25:53] Speaker 1: work out with I've already forgot her name your wife,
[25:56] Speaker 1: then you know where I am. If you're also identify
[25:59] Speaker 1: as anything book straight, what am I talking about? This
[26:03] Speaker 1: is why I need scripts in life. Guys, goodbye, have
[26:06] Speaker 1: a nice day.
