We wrestle with the idea that God often prepares men for impossible work by crushing them first, then rebuilding them for His good purposes. We walk through Nehemiah’s grief, prayer, risk, and resolve to show what spiritual leadership looks like when life hurts. • the Word of God as the sword of the Spirit and a call to readiness • two confronting quotes on suffering, blessing, and deep formation • why “crushing” can be part of God’s curriculum for men • Nehemiah’s response to ruin through weeping, fasting, prayer, and confession • the risk before King Artaxerxes and leaving comfort to serve others • rebuilding with opposition and finishing the wall in fifty-two days • why God uses people instead of snapping His fingers • Nehemiah as a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ Stay sharp.
