Nigerians, who did this thing to us?! In this episode of I Get Gist For You, Uzor & KP break down everything from toxic workplace culture, nepotism, and ageism in Nigerian work environments, to why it feels like Nigerians don’t like putting each other on—especially in the diaspora. They share personal stories about chaotic job experiences, working while young, and navigating spaces where being Nigerian sometimes feels like a solo hustle. But it all boils down to one uncomfortable question: If we’re scared our people will “pass us,” are we really good people? 🎧 Tap in for the gist, the laughs, and some heavy reflection. [0:15] Brown beef is charging. Pity, man.
[0:18] Let me show you something. So somebody tweeted, you know,
[0:22] like, yeah, art has been everywhere, like for a while.
[0:28] So somebody tweeted like a screenshot of her chat with
[0:30] charging PT. She was like, she dropped her
[0:32] photo and she was like, make me a professional LinkedIn photo.
[0:36] And he made the maddest LinkedIn photo.
[0:40] So I said I define new jobs. I said we can go, you know,
[0:45] inquire from charging PC. See what this thing do?
[0:48] It looks like me bro, someone said I did not picky it's me and
[0:59] Licky had a baby bro like he doesn't even look like me.
[1:02] I told me so I said now I have to be with charges my best
[1:07] charges between I don't know like everybody using that.
[1:10] I know somebody at work that uses it to reply every e-mail
[1:13] like you can tell that this person is.
[1:16] But like, it's not a bad thing. Simple e-mail of like or what's
[1:19] the status of this? This this work person really
[1:22] right. So it seems like a piece of the
[1:25] star Pythagoras is no, it's very simple or we did it.
[1:31] We don't do it. One liner is go right a piece.
[1:37] You just know that the person is using it.
[1:39] And I'm just taking away the human factor because you can't
[1:41] connect to the person because, like, you know, this person is
[1:43] just a robot. Bro.
[1:46] I don't know. I don't like you, Shah.
[1:47] I like you too, but I don't like you when it's like too too much
[1:50] use. You don't like you don't like
[1:52] charge you don't like AI generally or just charge you
[1:54] pieces. I like AI know charge you pieces
[1:57] AI know. So no, no, no charge you is just
[1:59] one. Yeah, like I like AI, but I just
[2:01] don't like when people overdo it.
[2:03] Like is in moderation. Like if you want to do
[2:07] something, do it. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
[2:08] But like when you are not using it to respond to like texts,
[2:12] what is the? Worst thing you use judgment to
[2:17] do? I mean I mean to send apology
[2:20] letter before. You see?
[2:21] You see what I'm saying? Like you know you're not sorry.
[2:26] You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
[2:28] Like that simple charity, now easy to make resume the standard
[2:33] things, but like when you're now using it in your day-to-day.
[2:37] No, no, you already. I feel like there are two types
[2:39] of people that is charging people that not use it and you
[2:41] that do not use it. You really are complaining about
[2:43] people that do not use it. You that just say oh, make me a
[2:47] letter to Ozo saying that he's my best friend.
[2:50] It's not say Ozo you. An extraordinary part of my
[2:54] life, like I do all those words that you know know those
[2:57] charging BT words. I understand what you're saying,
[2:59] but I don't know how to prompt it.
[3:01] Prompt it. Yeah, you know what I mean?
[3:02] That's not my problem. My problem is people that people
[3:04] know how to prompt about prompting it for things like
[3:06] apologies. Why are you prompting?
[3:07] No, no. So when I said you just be
[3:09] normal and apologize to the user.
[3:11] No, no. So me, I write his first.
[3:13] Like why I was I write his first.
[3:15] I write the team. Then I'll say make it more, more
[3:18] heartwarming. Why can't you just say what you
[3:20] already have? It's not heartwarming my God the
[3:25] inside the letter so I say make incorrect the grammar and make
[3:29] more part of the people I'm talking.
[3:31] Thank you has changed my life. I've never received an e-mail
[3:36] for scratch the long time can. You imagine like you know it's
[3:40] not a long, it's not long. You know that work is very easy
[3:43] one liner like it's nothing. What are you writing?
[3:46] So so one issue I've always had when I write like it's something
[3:50] that I had even in school is that I write the where I speak.
[3:55] That is the important of texting.
[3:56] Yes. So texting, obviously you can
[3:58] write it the way you speak, but when any professional sits in
[4:01] now you have to write professionally.
[4:03] Some of us have like that disadvantage.
[4:05] We don't it's kind of hard to just write how we feel because
[4:10] while writing the way we speak. I don't understand what I'm
[4:13] saying The the before churchopty came people that people that
[4:18] read my messages say this guy you type my mom see that she
[4:21] read like my essays or so she will she will call she's a
[4:23] person. Call me.
[4:24] What is wrong with you? So like you know, such as like I
[4:28] still write the things wrong. It's not like I'll give you
[4:30] prompt and say write a letter. I will write a letter and I just
[4:34] correct the grammar. There is no connection with like
[4:36] me if because OK, let's say someone like me and I know how
[4:39] you speak. If you use the GPTC Yami I will
[4:41] know there is no you. It's common sense like you just
[4:44] remove somebody that will be at a disadvantage, somebody that
[4:47] you just met or personal don't know you then you have to now
[4:50] start keeping up this exactly some you need to tweet also like
[4:55] you can. I will say something like when
[5:00] you see somebody post something that has emojis and there is a
[5:03] punctuation mark before the emoji, you know that it's
[5:06] because does not understand that some things can just be run on
[5:10] sentences and end with the emoji excited full stop, but they
[5:18] don't know that like it's very easy to yeah, people some people
[5:23] don't know the details that that one waits me like people that
[5:26] don't know the details like the ways that people can catch that
[5:29] guy. You use AI for this P like
[5:31] people that write captions. I'm about to so so.
[5:38] I don't even want to go into because if I start the person
[5:42] who just hits me. Well, yeah, man.
[5:48] Hey, guys, welcome to the episode.
[5:50] I guess just for you, Icky. Someone just told us a week ago
[5:54] that they searched Icky on Spotify and it didn't pop up.
[5:58] Yeah, that has been fixed. Yeah.
[6:00] Try, try to get tried on Apple podcast as well.
[6:03] Yeah, Research if it will pop up, let us know if it doesn't
[6:06] work right away. Yeah.
[6:07] We, we like when you guys give us feedback like when like
[6:10] episode one or two, you guys said that there was an issue
[6:12] with the sound. We fixed that.
[6:13] Somebody said that your your vinyls are getting still.
[6:16] We fixed that. You know, no one said that.
[6:18] I prefer it Ozone the is this right or left?
[6:21] Somebody said that it was just production.
[6:23] You said it's production. Not be somebody you know, be
[6:28] somebody fair. Production is not somebody
[6:32] social experiment. Not yeah.
[6:36] Hey guys, what was that episodes?

[6:55] So that is really great. So yeah, shout out to you guys.
[6:58] You how far are you now yeah I'm good I'm good this one we look
[7:01] like on that I know wake up today you don't cut away I cut
[7:04] my hair. This is like actually the first
[7:06] episode that you've known when he had so am I lying.
[7:11] This is the first thing you know when he has I would now just
[7:14] stay like this because I don't want to turn to the people.
[7:16] You guys are not swipe my head so that is swapping inside.
[7:21] You know when we draw that video.
[7:23] I was understand, but me, I deface you from here, same way
[7:26] you see my own body, you see. Angles, angles with where we
[7:32] have for you. How's your week?
[7:33] How's life been? Week has been this time nothing,
[7:36] nothing new, just going to work coming back.
[7:40] How how's how's your side? Now, man, I crashed out this
[7:44] week, man, crashed out because of work, man.
[7:47] I feel like this year started off like really great work wise
[7:51] and then I went to legal and it was like, OK, I'm coming back.
[7:54] Refresh was like I came back to Walla, I just crashed out.
[7:58] What kind of Walla tell the people like walk walk?
[8:01] Walla, that's one nice fire, Walla.
[8:03] And also like creative Walla. I just remember, like this one,
[8:06] the shake I've been through in my life.
[8:09] And I was like, well, then you mentioned that, OK, I should
[8:11] talk about one of these stuff. So, you know, I did like an
[8:13] internship when I was in Lagos. Now it's like a radio station.
[8:17] Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that was my first
[8:20] experience of you. Where do we go?
[8:23] So like I started the internship and it was cool.
[8:25] Like I don't want to go in depth of like how I got there, but I
[8:30] got there and they put me in another station.
[8:32] What do you mean in depth? You don't tell people that is
[8:36] Nepal is cyber multi emailing. You were just spamming.
[8:44] It was initial nepotism, but the nepotism, you know work.
[8:48] No nepotism got with the e-mail. OK fair.
[8:51] And I continued to send e-mail to e-mail.
[8:54] I have like 6 months every week. Like it was like bro I was like
[8:58] there's no way I'm leaving this country without doing this.
[9:00] Like I was relentless. So I finally got it.
[9:02] So the station owns for like it's like a parent company owns
[9:06] 4 station. Are we calling?
[9:07] The name of the. Station it's BT FM so the owner
[9:12] of like BT FM is called Mega Electric so they own forest.
[9:14] At the time they owned 4 stations.
[9:16] So it was like I wanted to work at BTF and so they put me in
[9:20] Niger FM. So for those I know Niger FM
[9:22] like they speak pigeon. There is like is the pigeon
[9:26] station and at the time I was very agitated so I couldn't
[9:29] speak pigeon. So I was like, I don't want to
[9:31] be out to be there, like I'll be seeing.
[9:33] Tools. Seeing people of them.
[9:35] We got I really look for across the room that day and it feels
[9:38] like heaven. Yeah.
[9:40] So like in the station, I mean they were playing Africa and
[9:42] China and I go to hear them, they play like whiskey.
[9:46] They pay me. So why is it paying Africa?
[9:49] Africa China is a good music that is my good, but nobody I
[9:52] want to hear with that. I want to hear whiskey.
[9:54] So €14.00 man, I have a poor man picking Africa China song.
[10:02] They're playing to you, they're playing to you.
[10:04] Want to take a job? Hit that song like if you
[10:13] someone is hitting on you, you can just be singing like
[10:15] Babylon. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[10:20] I did jump that song with like, ah, no, did not take the job
[10:24] where they do. They laugh.
[10:25] But yes. So I was there to make sure that
[10:30] I got to beat FM. So I finally got there but
[10:33] here's the thing, I used to live on the mainland and the station
[10:36] is in equity. So my dad used to work in Lucky
[10:39] so no Lagos traffic. Now we will leave the house like
[10:42] 5:30 or he will leave the house like 530 just to beat like the
[10:45] traffic going to the island. So that was his life.
[10:49] That's how I'd always know my dad leave the house really
[10:51] early. Come back, please.
[10:53] So now I'm working on the Internet with him like no
[10:55] brainer. I will go with him.
[10:57] So I was on my life for like at each 16 like I was waking up
[11:00] five when like I was 60, like after 63, yeah, I was I just
[11:04] finished like high school. So Omar, I was, I wasn't
[11:07] complaining my life. I enjoyed it because it was at
[11:10] the time that was my dream. So every day I was happy to
[11:12] always go out, even wake up earlier than him type of vibes.
[11:15] So I started working there now and it was cool.
[11:18] But then I realized that there was some people that were
[11:21] looking at me with like special eyes that they were like, this
[11:25] *** does not deserve to be here now.
[11:28] He's always like that. No, this one, this one was
[11:30] really the clock that you use they put to enter.
[11:33] I didn't even think it was. I think they were just like
[11:35] really horrible people. Like that's one of the OAPs that
[11:38] I I'm so close to all the the other people are OAPs to me.
[11:41] Yeah, they're popular people. Yes, yeah, let's call their
[11:44] names. I know, I know, like some of the
[11:47] OAPs that what that I I want to like, create to to to be like be
[11:51] me dummy. Like some of them see me like
[11:54] some of them were really like amazing people.
[11:55] Like I love them till tomorrow. But there's some of them like
[11:59] even tools, like tools was like nice.
[12:01] Some of them is just like unnecessary, like mean to me.
[12:03] There was this one time. As per like they will be like I
[12:06] better come. Up no like obviously I used to
[12:08] speak like pretty cool English now.
[12:10] So I think for some of them there was this sense of like
[12:14] it's like a general sense in like the media space like older
[12:17] guys, there's a lot of ageism in like the media space, especially
[12:21] in Nigeria or even when you go out broad and you're working in
[12:23] Nigerian spaces, a lot of ageism like there's no or this young
[12:27] guy is hungry wants to let him teach him.
[12:29] Not a lot of people are like that, so they don't look at you
[12:31] like you won't come take my job. I'll be I no good let's you type
[12:35] of thing. Nigerian, I'm never putting.
[12:37] I'm never putting like, bro, I will go to work and like morning
[12:40] show now they're playing all the jams.
[12:43] I remember this one time and I want to make a call back to like
[12:46] a couple of episodes when I said when I started listening to
[12:48] music like that after like when I was entering Ancestry.
[12:52] So it's just one year of me getting into like secular music.
[12:56] Now I'm working in the Top 40 radio station and she's playing
[13:01] like a mute like a song or something and she asked me if I
[13:04] knew it. I'm like Oh no, I don't know
[13:06] this song bro. She claimed me that the end of
[13:09] the movie like like 630. She claimed me bro.
[13:12] Like she's like, how would you be working here?
[13:15] And you don't know the songs on the Billboard Hots 100, you are
[13:17] supposed to know about one to 100.
[13:19] Bro she she finished me. Bro who is this year?
[13:24] Say the people will decipher our money.
[13:26] Show, say the. I have to do all that in
[13:30] English. Don't.
[13:30] Don't mess with. Me abbreviation.
[13:32] Abbreviation. Sorry.
[13:34] The initial yeah, you know the song now you remind me I don't
[13:41] want to say the name don't say the name say the abbreviation if
[13:44] my name is Uzo Concord CUOMOMO. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[13:51] So but she claimed me mean guy that that did that was when I
[13:55] became I knew that I could be secure in like the media space
[13:59] because bro like I'm just getting into like this.
[14:02] I can't remember like it was like I think it was not
[14:05] despacito like I know I just I can't remember the song.
[14:08] Man was I 2016 It was it. I know it was 20/17/2017.
[14:12] Yeah. So it was.
[14:14] It was, I think ET Sheeran. I just played or something.
[14:16] I know that it's a popular song that is a classic, but I didn't
[14:19] know that, bro. Actually listening to music the
[14:22] year before me some night graceful.
[14:24] Yeah, That she knew, but she didn't know.
[14:26] You can't believe, even though I'm 16 years old, man, there's
[14:28] no reason why you should be speaking to me like that,
[14:29] because I don't know a song, bro.
[14:31] So from then I became a music addict every day I want to want
[14:36] you like would you listen to the songs?
[14:38] I guess no, the song I guess no. This week no shame for you
[14:41] because I was not the only intended.
[14:42] So like I didn't want to and I was the youngest.
[14:44] I didn't want to, you know, be on the bottom of the you know.
[14:48] So guy continued me, but there was this one day.
[14:52] So remember I said I leave the outside 5 states, you know, so I
[14:55] get to work. My shift starts at 9.
[14:58] All those me going to station before 9 now because I'd be over
[15:02] Sabi. I said let me just go and help
[15:05] out since I'm already here, I might as well just help out.
[15:08] So I'm not supposed to be there. So I think she had gotten used
[15:11] to me always just being like there early in the morning
[15:14] helping her out. So there was like this lounge
[15:19] where people used to like rest too.
[15:21] So I said, bro, I'm tired me. And so I went there and I went
[15:24] to sleep. So I was sleeping.
[15:26] This one hasn't even come out for me so I just hate shouting
[15:31] this baby shout at me. What are you doing here bro?
[15:34] She finished me that day. She was.
[15:36] It was not 9 yet. Correct.
[15:38] It was like I said the song was just coming out like you know,
[15:42] you know when the song like I've seen the song just the common
[15:44] small like the sun, the the sky is too very still blue Yeah like
[15:49] dark blue. Yes bro.
[15:50] She finished me that day man. She should have found it bro.
[15:53] She just in my head, I'm like, bro, if I was not here.
[15:57] You do this thing by yourself, man.
[15:58] I was just going to help you out because my ID Wasabi.
[16:01] I'm not supposed to be there. My shift starts at 9.
[16:04] Yeah, even if my shift start like just the fact that I am 16
[16:07] years old. You are older than you're
[16:09] supposed to be my egg more like you're coming to come and be
[16:12] yelling at me telling me that I'm lazy.
[16:14] I'm not taking this thing seriously.
[16:16] She finished me that the bro. I said what is my report?
[16:19] But then they reminded me that I'm an intern.
[16:23] That's if I report that's not not like if I report that you'll
[16:26] kick me out with. You who?
[16:26] Who? Who?
[16:27] Reminded you somebody somebody that would be like he was like I
[16:30] was telling you other people like so that worked there with
[16:32] that guy. But I just chase that period.
[16:35] Like what do you want to do with you?
[16:36] I don't go to soccer. I don't go to Korea like and
[16:38] then like if you she find out that you went to report she will
[16:41] make like life. Yeah, exactly, bro.
[16:45] That she changed my life until tomorrow any like she has left
[16:49] Nigeria. Now she's doing OK.
[16:52] I wait for the day I can enact my revenge.
[16:54] All those bigger person sheets. Oh no.
[16:57] I'm waiting for the day where they will give me one job and
[17:00] she's the one that will apply. Ha me serve all the paths of
[17:04] aggression is typical. You don't believe life is
[17:08] African magic. Thank you.
[17:09] My life will be in this. This is the story.
[17:12] The African magic. We meet again.
[17:13] I've told you. Come out.
[17:14] I told you. I think it was last episode I
[17:17] said karma does not it doesn't exist just for just Lucy.
[17:21] You know when you can do your own just no channel 1.
[17:23] You can't do your own but just don't be thinking the world, the
[17:26] world no the road again. What do you rule sometimes What
[17:30] what do you rule in the room? Sometimes I don't just the put
[17:34] ISM and are you ever happy that you went to P me my own.
[17:37] I think in Nigeria. That's why most of my
[17:40] experiences are always in NYC. All this thing because my life
[17:42] was very, very fast. Finished high school.
[17:46] June or July 2016? Yeah.
[17:49] July, August. I'm telling you, I had only 10
[17:51] days of summer. August.
[17:54] Straight into uni. Under level.
[17:56] I did not like. There was no as well.
[17:57] I was graduating. I was already packing my books
[18:00] at home. I've always wanted to ask why
[18:02] the covenant resume. Resume.
[18:03] Yeah, I don't know. That was just their calendar, so
[18:06] I did not have any space from straight from high school.
[18:08] I didn't. Even so, you didn't.
[18:09] You didn't enjoy summer? I didn't.
[18:11] Even I. Went straight to uni.
[18:14] As I finished uni, I finished new.
[18:16] I'm created in N1 week only one week of November BA NYSCI
[18:23] finished NYC three days BA Canada.
[18:26] So I did not have like there was no, there was no space.
[18:29] I've never had any space to sit down in my entire life, even as
[18:35] I finished my master's now in my postgraduate.
[18:38] It was great. What like I've never had one
[18:41] year of like I just the IT has never happened.
[18:44] Yeah. So like that's why most of my
[18:46] experiences now I made it get in school.
[18:48] I'm just telling my own work experience.
[18:51] Nigeria. I have this very big uncle.
[18:55] He put me into No, I know. So I everybody.
[18:59] It's not just uncle that says send me, send me your digits.
[19:03] They didn't lie. He put me into the team.
[19:05] So he said I should write the exam.
[19:08] I read the exam. I passed.
[19:09] I shall enter the internity this thing.
[19:13] So people knew that like Nah, the person that beats me is
[19:17] very, very, very high. He's like everybody's boss.
[19:20] He's the boss of your boss of your boss.
[19:22] So like they need that like so the as I entered I could already
[19:29] feel everybody's eyes, that kind of thing.
[19:37] The guy now came. They already assigned us space
[19:40] and everything. The orga came and say you come.
[19:43] No, my boy. He puts me directly beside his
[19:46] office. So we were senior man in the
[19:49] office. Not senior man, but they could
[19:50] already see that like. We're getting we.
[19:52] Cannot do politics. So if I'm passing, I don't put
[19:56] any clock that I understood your bar.
[19:59] So like if I'm in the office like this was like 3 weeks into
[20:02] the team, they will be there doing their office policies of
[20:06] your gossip, gossip, they'll be speaking Yoruba.
[20:09] And then if I worked or do we speak in English?
[20:11] But if I walk in, yes, it can be like, that's on the yeah.
[20:16] Oh, Mama saw your. Right, code switch, start
[20:20] gossiping. I've just been like, so I was
[20:23] working in sales and marketing department.
[20:25] I was an engineer, but I was working in sales and marketing.
[20:27] So I've gone it was oil company. I've gone to 1 customer location
[20:32] to help them check their pressure reduction metering
[20:35] system. You guys engineers will
[20:37] understand but. I was just allowed to say that,
[20:39] sure, but. I went to go do customer
[20:42] research or you know, make sure that they're receiving the right
[20:46] amount of gas and do their customer visit.
[20:49] And then the guy I went with, the senior marketing officer,
[20:54] dropped me back in the office and went and then, yeah, I mean,
[20:58] back to my desk now. So now you're like a guy is not
[21:02] there, but you are in the office.
[21:03] Yeah, I'm in the office. So the guy I was about to sit
[21:07] down, he just called me Victor Com, who's a com come to my
[21:10] office. How was the this thing?
[21:14] Did you learn? I said, well, I learned this and
[21:15] then that, you know, I understood everything.
[21:19] Mr. I've got to call him Shimon. Mr. Shimon was very nice to me.
[21:23] You know, he made sure I understood the rudiments of so
[21:26] far. So and it's like, OK, so who
[21:28] dropped you? I said, Mr. Shimon dropped me.
[21:30] We went together. Like also, why is Mr. Shimon?
[21:32] I said, oh, he just dropped me and went it's OK, don't worries,
[21:34] don't worries. Have a good day was I used to I
[21:37] went. To my seat.
[21:38] I didn't know I went to my seat the next morning as I entered.
[21:44] Hey, everybody just didn't look busy people just they look me
[21:49] like like you could feel the, you know, that kind of thing
[21:51] that when someone is looking at you, like at this deal, I was
[21:55] like guy, like I just went to my seats.
[21:59] I'm like 30 minutes. So I showed them that came
[22:02] together, but let me see in the kitchen.
[22:05] They used to give us free breakfast, free lunch.
[22:08] I went to the kitchen with him now and it was like, what did
[22:11] you tell? Like what did you tell the boss?
[22:14] I'm like, oh, I told him that you thought to me you were very
[22:16] nice to me, that you even dropped me.
[22:19] You were nice to drop me. And like, it's like, what else
[22:21] did you see? I was like, how was what I said
[22:23] is like, did he ask you where I was?
[22:24] I said yes, I told you where I was.
[22:26] That you went. That you went that you dropped
[22:28] me and went and then he's like, don't ever do that again.
[22:33] Well, this, you know, he was he was in just let you understand
[22:37] that like he understood that like I.
[22:41] You didn't. Know it's not like I, yeah, I
[22:42] did not know like it was very unintentional.
[22:44] I unintentionally snitched on him like he went home and then
[22:48] it's like if they ask you just say I went to the toilet like
[22:51] you just I was like, guy do not know man, I'm sorry.
[22:53] Like is that why everybody's looking like yes, like I'm not
[22:56] going to lie to you every like he came in this morning and he
[22:58] was full blast on my neck. Like next time just do this.
[23:02] I was like guy like since that day man and God now helps me
[23:07] because I did my IT 2020 yeah 2019 so COVID 2020 after like 2
[23:12] weeks COVID. I've never been so happy to be
[23:13] in COVID. How will you be happy that COVID
[23:15] what kind of guy I. Was walking into the office and
[23:19] they put his eyes on me, man. I didn't like that shit.
[23:21] So they didn't have, they just spread and he didn't have any
[23:23] thought of everybody. You know, it was not like he was
[23:26] highly feared. Like when we have like program
[23:29] reviews, I will see like 50 something year old men
[23:33] quickening their blue be dancing gala in the meeting.
[23:37] I would just be like, so this slide, what slide here explains
[23:41] this, this like this and this and you're like, oh, I didn't
[23:44] really put it. OK, Stand up and get out of the
[23:45] meeting room when you're ready to present your comeback. ***
[23:49] will be fear. I think God, like he was very
[23:53] and he would always say Ash Kumar snap beside him so they
[23:54] could see that like who be this guy?
[23:58] Me? I'm standing you, you're
[23:59] sitting. How old are you?
[24:00] You're not younger. Yes, I was very young when I
[24:02] was, I was like 1819. Like we just got to get out with
[24:06] your stupid waves. Was very angry.
[24:10] Like is that like your voice experience with ages working in
[24:14] Nigeria? Everybody experience ages
[24:16] because these people are literally angry that you did not
[24:20] track the entire equity with your CV.
[24:25] To get a job. They're angry that all it took
[24:27] you to get a job was just one phone call from your dad.
[24:29] Like that is why they're mad. But you.
[24:31] But you hear them. Do you understand why do you
[24:34] feel that? I don't.
[24:35] I don't understand. I don't believe that somebody
[24:37] has to suffer because you suffer.
[24:39] But that's because people's realities are different.
[24:41] Yeah, people's rights are different, but that's because of
[24:43] privilege, right? Like you're privileged so you
[24:45] could get that. So me, I understand why they
[24:47] feel that with what I don't understand is why you're not
[24:50] mean to me because of that shit man like.
[24:52] Why a papan was bro like if if well, why you, but that's why
[25:00] they're mad. There's nothing.
[25:01] It's not like you are in I hear it.
[25:03] If you use the puts enter somewhere and you are useless at
[25:06] the job. You understand me?
[25:08] I'm more useless at the job. I can't do you know what I'm
[25:10] saying like I'm very competent. I take my work very seriously.
[25:16] Exactly. You cannot.
[25:17] I have, I have plenty career awards.
[25:20] Like I know I can do my shit. Like it's not like I'm I owe.
[25:23] I know my father just puts me there and I'm there and I'm
[25:25] crossing there. Yeah.
[25:26] Why are you mad? Like when you pay me, I'm not
[25:30] going to like balls in their shoes or you would want to be
[25:32] friends with you. So you can plug.
[25:36] Nigerians there, I don't know who personally Swift was gonna
[25:38] die. But I think, let me go.
[25:40] I think that like when I think of Nigerians as a concept, for
[25:44] example, team who I was thinking joy that there was like, Boo,
[25:48] there are different types of evil.
[25:49] You know, you know that thing that charts where they say law,
[25:54] how do you say law good, ethical good and law bad?
[25:59] And it's not law, law bad and ethical bad.
[26:04] So it's like a chart. So they will put you on which
[26:06] one you are. So, for example, someone like
[26:09] Osama bin Laden, he's both because he's ethically bad and
[26:13] also because he committed crimes.
[26:15] I think is different. It was bad.
[26:17] They should his own is still bad.
[26:20] Like I was just thinking about how people were ranting on
[26:22] social media, like for the last couple of weeks.
[26:25] I don't. *** doesn't say anything that *** doesn't give
[26:28] me. I, I hear it, I'm always like,
[26:30] because do you think they will pick?
[26:32] It's gonna be looking at it though.
[26:34] Do you remember that time that not that that corrupt talk thing
[26:37] became a thing that way people were like slandering you when I
[26:40] make my my friends Minister of transport.
[26:44] Yeah, but like people does not does not give folks.
[26:51] I was like evil is different. Somebody that said is my.
[26:57] Like bro. But the way you think about it,
[26:59] like just tiny backs, we forget about that.
[27:02] Like we all like to insult all these politicians that are bad.
[27:04] But like when we come down to our level and you see some
[27:06] people, like when you get power or when you see some people
[27:10] where they get opportunities. I think I haven't taken it too
[27:12] far. We know those do.
[27:13] Episode 3, Small head boy. Look at what you did.
[27:19] Are you saying like I see Nigerians are by themselves, You
[27:23] know, we will say oh, Nigeria will happen to you, Yeah.
[27:27] Or like no matter how well you are, Nigeria will happen to you.
[27:30] Like look at what's going on now, like you can just be going
[27:32] on your own and start to just kill you.
[27:34] That is Nigeria happening to you.
[27:36] If you come abroad, Nigerians can happen to you.
[27:40] Yeah, like speak on you. Like we are speak on you.
[27:43] I don't even believe me. I understand the tunable outro
[27:46] yes is the number one citizen is the president by BI believe the
[27:50] problem is grassroots. We should look within ourselves
[27:52] like Nigerians are not good people.
[27:54] Nigerians are not people that are complaining about like I
[27:59] know that it gets bad. So you get what I'm saying?
[28:03] Like is he really to new boy is really Nigerians?
[28:05] You get what I'm saying? I'm not saying it's terrible.
[28:06] It's terrible. Fine, our leaders are bad, but
[28:09] at the same time are we good looking?
[28:12] Look, we're not good people. Do you know that I was thinking
[28:16] like the other day, so in Canada, like Canada gives a lot
[28:20] of creative grants to, you know, people that have businesses or
[28:23] just business, like if you have a small business or you know,
[28:26] it's big, they give you grants to support if you have plans
[28:29] like close their mind. Also, if I get a grant
[28:32] opportunity, I will share to all my guys that guy, he has applied
[28:36] to this female I broke because in my head it's like my guy, my
[28:40] guys get this money, man. Like everybody's eating me.
[28:42] I don't want to be doing eating my like circle man.
[28:45] I don't like the worst chop, man.
[28:46] You, you, they sell robots, you, they sell this, they sell that
[28:49] like the worst chop. Poor guy.
[28:51] Nigerians get keep that shit, get keep that shit.
[28:55] So they die. See if Nigeria does not happen
[28:58] to you. Nigerians patriotic patriotism.
[29:12] I watch Nigeria national, I'm not going to lie, I watched it.
[29:15] I'm very invested in this guy. We say their names.
[29:19] I'm like I'm very mad. Do you not like Peace of Mind?
[29:22] Do you not like your? I like it.
[29:25] Imagine me being stressed that we may not qualify for World
[29:27] Cup. I'm so stressed, that's not
[29:29] imagine me putting myself through that stress.
[29:31] That is as far as I can go, but that is my own, for my own
[29:34] usual. But for me to not sit down.
[29:36] I mean you like football general go and meet in Nigeria.
[29:39] I mean I start podcasting Nigerian.
[29:41] I apologize to myself, but what yo Nigerians I'm telling you
[29:49] that was a joke, but Nigerians I know was it not you that was
[29:55] jisting me or that just that came up There's more popular
[29:58] Aggie bread souls in Nigeria. Do you know I said sauce in
[30:02] Nigeria. I said in Canada here there's
[30:04] only one that brand of Nigerian bread.
[30:06] I was locked up. They didn't let me out.
[30:08] Do you know that if hey, I've not said anything.
[30:15] Do you know that allegedly allegedly the guy if you're by
[30:20] Nigerians now, if you don't have work now we see how far now
[30:23] under the table we do work for you the guy minimum wage now
[30:27] take into cognizance minimum wage is $18.00.
[30:31] This guy will pay you $10 as A and he's your fellow Nigeria.
[30:35] Now this guy is making stupid bar because I'm telling you that
[30:38] like his bread is a what I love is wrong.
[30:42] The bread is even your life is even in retail stores like in
[30:47] Walmart is a guy you know that like this thing is flourishing,
[30:50] but he's underpaying Nigerians just to enrich himself.
[30:55] I see This is why me some people would say they don't understand
[31:00] village people. But me when I look at things
[31:03] like this, I understand this because he's not so different
[31:06] from the village people. He's just a privileged rich
[31:09] village people or village person in this case, because if he was
[31:13] in the village and he's watching somebody do flourish and he does
[31:16] not want the next person to flourish.
[31:17] You are all village people like typical Nigeria now.
[31:20] They take lights in your house. You first go and look outside
[31:22] the window and see whether it's only you.
[31:25] You're a witch. Like I'm telling you, Nigerians
[31:28] are not good. I keep preaching this thing that
[31:30] like, let's leave this government, but you know that
[31:31] Nigerians hate here that thing because I think we need that
[31:34] reality check to remind ourselves.
[31:36] Like I'm about to switch the conversation.
[31:39] You beat sharp in Nigeria. We hit the feather, Nigeria.
[31:42] I think they can run. They will run.
[31:46] My problem. With my own popular opinion here
[31:49] is I believe, I very, very strongly believe that the
[31:53] Nigerians in Nigeria are way better than the Nigerians
[31:56] diaspora. Yeah, like they might be weak or
[31:59] two, but they have better hearts than the ones here.
[32:02] Do I agree with that evil? I think I do evil.
[32:06] I think that's because it's a kind of here kind of could have
[32:10] cracked the code like this bread.
[32:12] I think the bread guy we're talking about could have cracked
[32:14] the code. You can put millions of
[32:15] Nigerians, like Nigerians can come here and never have
[32:18] struggle, just like all the Indians come here and like, you
[32:20] know, they feel the Walmart, yeah, you know, they have like
[32:23] a. Strong Indians, the guys in.
[32:27] Nigeria here can come here, crack the entire system.
[32:30] I care for him and. Just for me and his family and
[32:33] when other Nigerians call. Me we shortchange you say as you
[32:35] do it like you say not good, not good not Greece this is Greece.
[32:40] I got the I got the wrong things now we got the USA is so rude.
[32:45] I'm telling you when you come abroad me and you see that other
[32:48] communities like Asians, you know there are the sub groups,
[32:52] Chinese, Indians, the Arabs, bro, bro, why did they cut you
[32:57] here? You'll be.
[32:58] Arabs to be. Bro like I didn't know.
[32:59] Nigerians here that Barb here, Nigerians, this kind of thing is
[33:09] something that will just make you very angry because like why
[33:13] are you so against your people prospering?
[33:15] Like why can't you put your people like I think you can come
[33:18] here to. I know Nigerians are looking for
[33:21] jobs for like 2 years. Come here tomorrow and he's
[33:24] working next week. You know what?
[33:25] Yeah, Because there's an ecosystem and protects their
[33:29] people. Nigeria, No democracy, not for
[33:31] the people. By the people.
[33:32] Nigeria. No, they say no, not for me, by
[33:35] me and only me. Nothing good concerning you like
[33:38] nothing we do. Make sure that even if something
[33:40] which is your side is bread bread corrupt exactly like.
[33:46] Is horrible man. I was I was ranting.
[33:48] The other did that. You, you work in entertainment
[33:50] space, so you see me, you know, you know your own side.
[33:54] Like I'm telling you, I've seen Nigerians.
[33:56] Man, Toronto now and they announced yeah, now is the show.
[34:00] Everybody was excited. So like I felt it kind of weird
[34:04] because I mean I run out for verified right and like I feel
[34:07] like we're doing well in this space that we are in.
[34:10] But like Chris, I've been feeling some kind of weird that
[34:12] like it was like I don't like accepted in that space because
[34:15] like it's in it's not a Nigerian brand, but it's run by Nigeria
[34:18] that people know that Nigerian guys, they run this P And like,
[34:21] I feel like everybody that is like black, but like we don't
[34:24] feel like accepted with like he's setting demographic of
[34:27] like, OK, like black and Indians, just a few people.
[34:30] You think that you're Nigerians would like rally behind you.
[34:32] Look at these guys that are doing this dope thing for us,
[34:36] you know, making things easy for us, bro.
[34:38] Our last events, 70% Indians came to that passive.
[34:45] There was the event we named this is for like it's an
[34:48] Afrobeat party. Yeah, the population of that
[34:51] event was 70% Indians. That day.
[34:53] I was just looking around. I wasn't complaining, but just
[34:55] like you sold out. I mean, I was just like, damn
[34:58] man, like wow, my guys, where are my people that are like
[35:02] this? Like where are they?
[35:03] I'm just like, damn man. Like even like the remember one
[35:06] that was saying like they gave the opportunity to like the
[35:09] marketing partners to somebody who was not even Nigerian.
[35:14] And that thing just, it just shocks me because I know that
[35:16] they are Niger bro. How can a Nigerian artist be
[35:19] coming to Canada and they are giving the bags to someone that
[35:21] is not Nigerian. And I know that Nigerian saw
[35:24] that thing and let it happen because God forbid, how can I go
[35:28] for my own brother? God forbid golf.
[35:34] I love my own fellow man Leave. God for me rather die than let
[35:37] him leave. I say I get this for you, I die.
[35:40] I subscribe, God forbid rose to 1 kid, I die, I die.
[35:47] You know say when I look at our back end, I should say the two
[35:51] videos. So what did people describe this
[35:53] like? It's one like 80 likes, one
[35:55] dislike. What did I do before?
[35:59] You could just have gone. Why did you have to make us?
[36:01] You know that this show who dislikes I was like this person
[36:04] would be a petty pussy. I don't think I've ever disliked
[36:07] a video on YouTube before all my life.
[36:09] Why am I disliking a video? Why?
[36:11] What is the point? Just like that?
[36:14] She's man, Nigerians, man. That's just the point.
[36:16] We need to do better as a people, as a collective, like we
[36:19] need to do. Better we need to check
[36:20] ourselves like what is it for you to like?
[36:24] What do you gain from seeing your fellow Nigerian?
[36:28] Don't make it. Or do you know what I'm saying?
[36:29] Like, why? Why is that giving you
[36:31] adrenaline? Why is he?
[36:32] I feel like we're just in the competition, you know, my wife.
[36:35] Yeah. No mine.
[36:36] Is just you are just in nobody to compete to you you're just a
[36:39] compete to yourself exactly and even carries into like how we
[36:44] like talk about music and pop culture like everything that
[36:46] competition man we got good job album next thing are you
[36:49] comparing Boo. We did not do Rayman numbers
[36:54] like you guys doing all right, so like why the?
[36:57] You know, I'm telling you what just a better person I know
[37:00] mentality is the is the is the will be the downfall will be the
[37:04] end of Nigerians. I'm telling you, let me change
[37:06] the goal to show you this. Like we started talking about
[37:08] like working and like just working corporate.
[37:11] What is the wildest job you've ever worked?
[37:13] Like wildest position in Canada. Anyway, I already did that work
[37:18] in Nigeria though, OK, because I went back there for my Nic.
[37:21] This stuff that I told was when I did IT in kind of worked.
[37:26] How? Many jobs have you worked?
[37:28] I can't count to. I did.
[37:30] I worked as a chef. I was skimming Turkey.
[37:35] I was working in the cold room bugging Turkey as well.
[37:41] But I've worked as a bouncer. There's nothing I've not done.
[37:44] Like nobody. There's nobody in this life now
[37:47] that can tell me that oh, I did not get started mode.
[37:50] I was for this shit man, like I've done.
[37:53] Which one should I ask for production, you guys?
[37:55] Which one should I question first?
[37:57] The cleaner one? The chef for the bouncer?
[38:00] I don't know the talking. I don't know where to start.
[38:02] Please. Let's start from number one.
[38:03] I've done. You really.
[38:04] Pour water for steel? Why?
[38:06] Who hired you as a chef? That person.
[38:08] Whoever that hired you, they should suck.
[38:09] The person. What do you buy?
[38:13] Like so? So they just hire.
[38:15] Chefs, let me let me tell you how it is.
[38:17] OK, I will do. I will take the picture, Sir.
[38:19] Let me tell you how I came in. So me, I was a student.
[38:22] My dad, yeah, he doesn't play with student PE.
[38:26] He takes it very seriously. So he made sure that like, I was
[38:30] very well taken care of. My rent was always paid.
[38:34] I always had food. Like I was just my only for my
[38:39] for being here was to go to school and come back and read my
[38:41] book and pass. Yeah.
[38:43] He paid everything. I was not suffering.
[38:44] I did not have to fend for myself.
[38:46] Basically, I'll be mine now. I don't even just sit down the I
[38:51] cannot just look sitting now. I'll just be looking so I.
[38:54] Probably will get money to carry babies.
[38:57] No, he gave me more. Me for food, getting money for
[39:00] flakes. We were walking out of.
[39:02] All the concerts I was going to is like if we pay, you know when
[39:08] the guys will be sort, say like just be like I go like that.
[39:11] I was. So no, I couldn't live like OK,
[39:15] after I will just sit down like I was not the like you get it
[39:19] was not. I needed something to do so I
[39:22] could not have gone to buy PS5. They play, they look for work
[39:27] kind of you go my firework, firework, firework, firework.
[39:31] One year I did not see. I said OK, no Walla, what is in
[39:34] this window that I can do Everybody in a restaurant
[39:39] restaurant. I changed my entire resume.
[39:41] I had like five years experience as a chef.
[39:44] I had me at one tap and grill. They sat me in 2 weeks.
[39:48] Well. There was one time that you were
[39:49] saying that you. Worked in a pizza place.
[39:51] That was my I think that was the first one.
[39:53] My ultimate plugged me there and then I I said they do Domino's.
[39:57] I was like doing the do doing everything.
[40:00] You guys just came to. I went to work like I think I
[40:03] found one week you guys just say, ah, it was Arab like
[40:08] Victor, come here, come. It was a new distinct.
[40:10] It was only me and the owner. I don't work.
[40:13] I saw another Co worker. I said I really want to expand.
[40:16] Not really. They make the pizza, you know
[40:17] they make enough pizza to expand.
[40:20] I reached this. I just say I'm too slow because
[40:24] I actually don't know how to because I he's the guy that was
[40:27] teaching me. So I see sometimes I'll be
[40:28] looking at the guy. I'm too slow when you know those
[40:31] tricks. I cannot even do this normally.
[40:35] Bro. I was just the guy just said I
[40:38] was too slow. I cannot.
[40:39] I said, I don't know why I went. I went to, I think that was in
[40:44] winter 22, the 23, I didn't work.
[40:47] I just say, you know what, let me just actually do the school.
[40:50] There's somewhere I wanted to look for work.
[40:51] And I said, don't worry. Then he took me to France.
[40:55] OK. When I came back from France, I
[40:56] say, ah, it's even we can do. Like I was just sitting down.
[40:59] I don't have anything to do. So I started applying for job
[41:02] again. But I knew that like, oh, this
[41:04] pizza thing, let me actually expand on you.
[41:06] I feel I have 20 years experience in professional pizza
[41:10] maker. He puts me I got one right in
[41:13] the top and grill. He sucked me.
[41:14] He said my onion cutscene because I was in prep.
[41:17] They said I was so slow in the prep everything she was too slow
[41:20] too slow too slow, too slow. You know why in the cut and fast
[41:25] do I know how to cut but I'm late like that was my first
[41:28] experience we ever cutting onion was there.
[41:30] So he's the lie I have lied, lied I actually got so I just
[41:38] delayed a lie. I was in cycling restaurant.
[41:40] The one of my guys now said, oh, he has one place, one agency
[41:43] that is hiring for Turkey bargain.
[41:48] So yeah, I know how that puts me like Thanksgiving Turkey.
[41:50] Yeah, that things even period. I will win time.
[41:53] So I got in there. I was doing bargain in Turkey,
[41:56] bargain in Turkey. That one did not suck me because
[41:59] it's all it's common sense, not just inside bag.
[42:02] I was doing it. The contracts finished did not
[42:04] suck me now or even get a hair. I went to go and work for the 1%
[42:08] or the 1%. A very high end restaurant I
[42:12] think is the highest end restaurant is a club.
[42:14] So you have to spend minimum spend of $7000 a month to
[42:21] maintain your membership. So like it was high and I and I
[42:24] and I, so I lied that like I was, I've been a chef for the
[42:27] past 10 years. They give me the job.
[42:33] They give me that as well. Like sushi for dishes, sushi for
[42:36] like, OK, no, no, you know. Sushi is the assistant.
[42:40] Assistant. Yeah.
[42:41] OK. You're not the actual the guy.
[42:43] The guy will be overseeing the other cooks.
[42:46] You a supervisor? So the first day you guys,
[42:51] because we have the restaurant, they won't be one of the members
[42:55] got Now punish one of them that they're getting married.
[42:59] So it was heavy like that was like a lot of place.
[43:02] So I have to now start helping. How will I know when this
[43:08] chicken is done, my dear, my own?
[43:13] Dawn next day I just came what you did in the one do.
[43:19] I just came to work the next day.
[43:21] The guy my the head chef just called me was like, oh, let me
[43:24] see in office Victor guy. You know when that no, I didn't
[43:27] even know. I thought it was just wanted to
[43:29] maybe there's one detail like no food even when they are this
[43:32] much because I did actually the project management I was doing
[43:36] you know, you guys ready. We need to be ready.
[43:39] OK, so I thought I was doing a good job only the one time where
[43:43] I say make a fried chicken for rest.
[43:45] Well, you know when chicken is ready, you know the job is all
[43:47] those dropped this thing now is. You know I.
[43:53] Just wanted to make sure I, you know, poison you get.
[43:58] I don't go go jail because I don't want to be my house and
[44:00] you be. Like I was not the only black
[44:04] people call me. Come on, beam me up, poison
[44:09] rich. I really assess this.
[44:20] I don't think this is going to work, I said, but we've been
[44:22] meeting our targets every this thing now.
[44:24] What did I read? We said, oh yesterday you're
[44:27] making chicken and you told me that time I just noticed yes
[44:33] nature. That was the end of that one.
[44:34] I just after I left that job, I was almost graduated, so I told
[44:37] myself I would never like I'm not working again.
[44:40] The next work I get I would actually.
[44:42] Conference corporate job? Yeah.
[44:45] No, I lie. I lie to myself.
[44:48] I went after like 2 weeks, nobody bites me.
[44:51] I'd not see anything. So I got connected to this come
[44:54] and do bouncer at one nightclub. I mean, I'm not a night person.
[45:02] I sleep. My schedule is very rigid.
[45:04] Like I sleep by night 30, wake up by 5.
[45:06] I know they move like it's very straight.
[45:09] But I thought, you know what? Let me just do this thing, that
[45:13] job, this one. I can't tell the story too,
[45:18] because I go see one big guy. The first time he didn't tell me
[45:32] was that. Guy I know, I know how security
[45:43] license the guy was like, oh, you need to have bulletproof.
[45:46] But I was ashamed of the thing. I didn't want to do it.
[45:50] I was just doing it because I didn't just want to just by hand
[45:54] because just the just the clap on.
[45:56] I didn't want to. I do so I wouldn't type another.
[45:59] I would even wear ski mask. I don't want anybody to know
[46:01] about the job. Like also fully he's just his
[46:04] eyes. I would just really do the thing
[46:10] and as the thing was going on like Brody babes like that,
[46:13] you'll be checking it will be big.
[46:15] I was just like guy, like why are people?
[46:18] Is this really how nightlife is? Like obviously I don't indulge
[46:21] in nightlife more like I don't really that thing really made me
[46:24] not even indulge in it because like I did not really know that
[46:27] like this is actually what goes on.
[46:28] Like I will be doing my normal search.
[46:31] Maybe it would be like oh you don't search here.
[46:34] Remember that one time that touched me Daddy?
[46:35] Remember that one time I was just on my this thing.
[46:37] The babe just came on and brought us brought out a team
[46:39] that when I was there because I was feeling there was one time
[46:41] we went out there. I was feeling the because it was
[46:43] not that night. It was ever a match for that
[46:47] tool. So we like when my guys we went
[46:50] so I left them as my guy is outside.
[46:53] So I was going to choose like in the entrance.
[46:55] So we're just there. I could not entertain you.
[46:59] I was just there. And that's the guy, what's this
[47:02] this big don't come here five times that she has come just
[47:04] before you came, she has came and she was like, can I escort
[47:08] her to the toilet that she needs security.
[47:10] She's drunk. I said I forgot my work.
[47:12] Now why she doesn't work to check whether you of age, you
[47:18] know, to make sure that you are legally allowed to be here.
[47:21] That is my work. She brought out a what if I put
[47:28] a gun in my in my pussy? Oh.
[47:31] My God, if you put on the gun on beside me like she just came
[47:38] that day and just broke that day.
[47:40] I that one I was dead like I could not believe my eyes.
[47:45] That was the good she said. My brother, my brother I'm.
[47:49] Telling you that one is like one of like as you are searching
[47:52] them because you have that stick that you be running through and
[47:55] I mean there's something there or something metallic like
[47:59] someone be telling me or like, do I want to?
[48:02] What time do I get off? Like I'm like, not babe, like
[48:06] I'm just looking for this life. Damn.
[48:11] Like can you, are these people actually be serious?
[48:13] Like I thought everybody won't follow for this life.
[48:15] It's not somebody that's buying both these bouncer.
[48:18] They never entered the code to go.
[48:19] I mean, the, the the bottle guys could just be like guy, like, no
[48:22] man, like this cannot be my reality.
[48:24] I've worked, you know, I've worked out all those, you know,
[48:26] when you go for like all those weddings.
[48:28] Yeah, know those guys that used to wear white shirt and bow tie.
[48:32] I used to say before I don't work the job before.
[48:35] Two shifts bro what do? You kind of like the work I've
[48:41] got for us. Like bro I worked in which
[48:43] family go farm 2 shifts there's no that one I left.
[48:47] I did not go again because I'm like, God forbid, like bro, that
[48:51] one, that one was real slavery. Like as far it was scared like
[48:55] I'm over watching a factory before scheduled time to bring
[48:59] like he's like in prison. When you get that done and I'm
[49:02] going for a break, it's like straight line go to break room.
[49:05] Once break room is on your hand alarm 111.
[49:08] You can't be in that room after break.
[49:10] It was like prison. Factory work.
[49:13] I did U-Haul that I should be cleaning EU haul.
[49:17] We don't have to I've done actually, I don't know, but
[49:19] don't worry. I was saying that I've worked
[49:21] probably up to 30 jobs in this window like I'm I'm not even
[49:24] joking, like 30 jobs me. Those are my guys used to clown
[49:27] me that yeah, the Swiss job like mad.
[49:30] And this is what Disney Channel growing up.
[49:33] No, Yeah, yeah, you know. Austin I I used to change every
[49:36] every that was me. They changed me.
[49:40] Why you change job? I said guy, they feel that job
[49:42] me at that time the economy was not bad.
[49:44] So I yeah, I'm good at interviews.
[49:46] That is man, once I get that interview, I know I'm getting as
[49:48] long as you you put me let me talk.
[49:49] I bro like I'm good at interviews.
[49:51] So like I used to get if they stop me for the work, I do not
[49:55] care. I will leave like I know that I
[49:57] will get a job next week, but now?
[49:59] No, no, try now. I did swallow my pride.
[50:02] Now I did swallow my pride. I don't even know.
[50:08] That's all. One of my parents came from my
[50:10] graduation, and I was telling them like, you know why they do.
[50:14] Like I was that guy. Just look now.
[50:17] Like my sister. Now she's here.
[50:18] Yeah. She never leaves one barrel for
[50:20] her life. Damn.
[50:21] She's just as you should have. But The thing is, I can move
[50:25] like, it's just there's nothing. I finish OK, I finished
[50:29] assignment now. Yeah, we think I worked on those
[50:32] jobs where you have to be knocking on people's doors.
[50:36] No, that was not commissioned. It was per hour.
[50:38] But you get bonus when you convert 1 of the So I couldn't
[50:41] knock on people's doors say, oh, are you now?
[50:44] Now window and door with yourself.
[50:47] Oh, bro, man, guy one week I don't even care like bro, I
[50:51] can't say any bad job like not how broke I am in that period.
[50:55] I can't stay in the job that I don't feel comfortable with me
[50:58] like I will go to this where I am 80% of my day of my week.
[51:03] I mean this place. I cannot be feeling miserable
[51:05] there man. I would live.
[51:07] But like I said, we thank God for for his grace that bouncer
[51:11] period. God help with like.
[51:18] Let's go and watch you go by. It's like you feel like I was
[51:26] not suffering. I didn't.
[51:27] Yeah. I thought that bounced out, you
[51:31] know, just like, I mean like Jesus, like these are all babes.
[51:35] Do react to this act. Yeah, you'll be at the good
[51:39] club. But the worst thing, the worst
[51:41] thing that I I when when those there have been two times in the
[51:44] last year that I've gone to the club so bad.
[51:47] And he made me have like a small hatred for clothes.
[51:49] Like, you know, I don't go out like I used to before now.
[51:51] Yeah, like, and it's because of those two tiles.
[51:53] Like I went to a close to where I was like hi.
[51:56] Like, people are mad, dude. Like it's not even just people
[51:59] are mad. Like drunk people are actually
[52:00] annoying. It's very drunk.
[52:02] And the drunk people by young Joy, you're always so bad.
[52:05] I mean, like young, be drunk, be like person, don't give me
[52:09] business speech for club before she said let's go open the
[52:13] restaurants in Mississauga. I said, look at the restaurant.
[52:15] I said steakhouse. She didn't give me.
[52:17] I said no, we wish I'd come here for the guy.
[52:21] She was gone. And because they are going, you
[52:24] have to kind of that be like, oh, yeah, yeah.
[52:26] After I walked in, she followed me.
[52:28] I said yeah. I said to me.
[52:33] I love this thing in my worst part in my worst part of the
[52:35] obviously was the sexual harassment because if you flip
[52:37] the switch now problem would be say babe just start this just
[52:41] open break. Well, if he's the other way
[52:45] around now. You know you know that they are
[52:47] creepy like female vancers one part time for Caribana in
[52:51] Toronto that I was literally I know that this is very bad was
[52:55] you know, it's just is what it is like I mean I'm gonna laugh
[52:58] at things that bad. I put so like I was literally
[53:00] grouped by the big bouncer like she full on quack quack, my
[53:07] youngest quack bro, like because it was Caravana.
[53:11] There was so many people there like I was I was stoned, like I
[53:15] froze like I like I just walked and I was like and I was also
[53:18] drunk. So I was like, she's not being
[53:20] just like boy, my like she was like searching guy where she
[53:24] goes here like. Old Caravana searching his hand.
[53:27] They will use my like it's two layers your first pass machine.
[53:30] Then they will not use hands to like brushy taps me first of
[53:34] all, I was like why is the baby the one searching usually guys
[53:38] guys, but. Like too many people.
[53:41] So they did not care after the mentality, they will say, no,
[53:48] you didn't, you didn't say what are you doing?
[53:54] Like that's your age. That's your age.
[53:59] Like, do you think of me because I was so happy to be there.
[54:02] I was literally hiding myself. So you now if I really, if I was
[54:05] a fool, I would carry, you know, like, like I think the worst
[54:09] part of the P was getting the guys to go home.
[54:12] Oh, it's it's 2:30. Oh, yeah.
[54:13] Now they go so dirty failure. They go, they go.
[54:17] Like you, you can't live. What is the cause?
[54:19] So in my in my own thing, I'm like, you cannot hate your house
[54:23] so much that you want to be outside this bag.
[54:25] Like they go where you do, but they don't finish.
[54:28] Music when they play games, but. You know, like I don't
[54:31] understand. And the one.
[54:32] Thing is a sad what didn't? Even happen I think fight now
[54:35] both outside yeah I. Remember that time when they
[54:40] fight for? France, they were fighting like
[54:42] they were actually using sprays. Yeah, you see, I should go.
[54:53] Me and you know that I don't have security license.
[54:58] Let me just search you. I know that you are 19 and above
