[0:00] You barely undertaking $1,000,000 projects, right?
[0:05] Where did this audacity come from?
[0:08] I came to a place to understand that the size of your action is
[0:11] much more important than the size of your dream.
[0:14] And the thing with that mindset is lots of people are dreaming,
[0:19] lots of people want to do big things, but few are taking the
[0:22] necessary action. But from university my sophomore
[0:24] year, I started something, it failed.
[0:26] After uni I started, I did another thing.
[0:28] It failed. All of those journeys of my
[0:31] becoming. I think the reality hit me when
[0:33] I met a man called Ubon King. How do I get access to this man?
[0:37] So I noticed he was intact and I was like, OK, I'll just try and
[0:40] break the protocol of the people who had held and the security.
[0:43] So I tried to put my head on that and one one of them used
[0:46] his elbow to hit my neck. So I screamed on top of my
[0:49] voice, I said, Sir, I came all the way from Ghana to see you.
[0:54] So he turned, it's just a matter of time.
[0:55] We may have started from a car, but soon we should be doing
[0:59] development at the height of the Benghazis in Dubai and stuff
[1:02] like that. There are three rules, the real
[1:03] estate location, location, location, rule one, location,
[1:07] rule 2, location, rule 3, location.
[1:09] So where you're building is very important.
[1:10] He who wants to be great amongst you myself is the biggest
[1:14] business advice ever. So think service with your
[1:19] business and how it blesses humanity.
[1:21] To make a million, bless a million.
[1:24] To make a million, 7 million. Why are people exploring
[1:27] affordable housing fund? I mean, affordable is realistic
[1:29] by me. Mass demand because there's a
[1:32] huge deficit in the market. Why it's like developers looking
[1:36] in that direction. Hello community, thanks for
[1:44] tuning in again. The conversation you're about to
[1:46] listen to is with Moses Brent to author NBA.
[1:49] Moses is the CEO for Afrimat Atlantic.
[1:52] It's a luxury realistic company in Ghana.
[1:54] The fascinating thing is that Moses is, it's not even 30 years
[1:57] and he's embarking on really, really audacious projects.
[2:01] He calls himself an enigma, a mogul and the man.
[2:06] And we explored all those 3 strands in this conversation.
[2:08] I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
[2:11] I'm not sure it means just build something.
[2:13] And don't forget to subscribe. Thanks, Moses.
[2:16] Thanks for coming. I'm starting.
[2:19] Yeah, starting. The funny thing it was everybody
[2:22] seems surprised when I. When is it you?
[2:25] Started, you started. It's like cut off guard.
[2:28] I guess that's the intense. But I've really been looking
[2:30] forward to this conversation and this.
[2:34] I think the studio today is kind of full because there are a
[2:36] couple of like fans who want to come in.
[2:38] Hey, you pressure, all right. Yeah.
[2:42] So Moses, you're 29, right? And you have two major luxury
[2:50] real estate development projects going.
[2:54] You are the CEO for Afrimat Atlantic and you're about
[2:59] providing luxury real estate developments to, you know,
[3:03] people in this country. If we're 29 year old, I mean,
[3:06] you're going to touch on other things you've done.
[3:09] That's really impressive, right? And so for me, I want to ask you
[3:13] that first I want to ask you is that all points in your life did
[3:17] you see this life you're living now?
[3:20] So as has probably become obvious, we have an ongoing
[3:22] partnership with B wire. We wire to B to B cross-border
[3:25] payment platform for businesses. And since we are on the mission
[3:30] to encourage people to build and build world class businesses, we
[3:33] are also on the quest to bring you resources and tools and we
[3:36] think we were is that tool that will help you a local merchant
[3:39] to local business person to do business globally, right.
[3:42] So connect to be wire to be wire.com today.
[3:46] Thanks. All right, thank you.
[3:50] Thank you for having me on the personal podcast.
[3:53] And I think yourself and the team are being amazing.
[3:56] Thank you. And I know that it's just going
[3:59] to get bigger and better. And for me, who is always
[4:03] excited about seeing people becoming better versions of
[4:05] themselves, I get very much excited when I see platforms
[4:09] like this. Because by extension, people can
[4:13] glean from the stories of other people.
[4:15] There's a scene that success leaves it's clues, so you get
[4:19] the opportunity to glean from the lessons of other people and
[4:23] be blessed. I think my favorite episode so
[4:25] far has been the one with Captain.
[4:29] It was, it was it was a very lengthy 1.
[4:32] And I'm like, you have to be hungry for something, you know,
[4:36] for you to want to stick that long.
[4:38] Yeah. And that's like my favorite
[4:40] episode, maybe because, you know, I'm hungry.
[4:44] So I think it's most people's favorite and when I speak to
[4:46] people, they're like, it's their favorite episode.
[4:49] Back story to that particular episode, I woke up that morning
[4:54] because you had already got in touch with his team and we're
[4:58] not sure when he was going to give us a deeds, right?
[5:01] So I woke up that morning in typical fashion.
[5:02] My phone was on DND in the morning and I saw like about 10
[5:06] missed calls from Dick and Clenham.
[5:09] Then they called me and I, like Captain said we should.
[5:11] He wants to do 11 AM this morning and I'm up this like
[5:14] 9:00 AM in the morning. Where did he go from here?
[5:19] Yeah. And I almost wanted us to
[5:20] postpone that. And it turned out to be like,
[5:22] you know, people's favorite episode so far.
[5:25] It it it has been my favorite episode Lent a lot.
[5:28] It's it's different when you're seeing life through the lenses
[5:31] of people who have walked the path.
[5:33] Yeah, the kind of things you glean from them is very
[5:36] different. So kudos to you and the team.
[5:39] You guys are being amazing. Back to your question, at what
[5:42] point did I feel like I'm leaving this?
[5:45] It's interesting because 2/2 of my friends one says that I feel
[5:51] like you're growing so much at such a certain pace that you
[5:55] don't really have time to leave in the moment and then
[6:00] experience what's happening all around you.
[6:03] And I think that from time to time, the thing about success is
[6:08] that the next level you want to get to.
[6:11] Success is like a breath of fresh air and the next air
[6:16] you're breathing in now, the next air I'm breathing in now is
[6:18] more important than the one we just exhaled out literally.
[6:21] So that's how success it's like, it's like the next thing you
[6:25] want to do comes in and then it's sort of like fools you
[6:29] because you've already accomplished what you probably
[6:31] wanted to accomplish. So at what point lately what I'm
[6:34] doing is that I'm being very intentional with my life in the
[6:38] sense that I would constantly take time off and then breathe
[6:43] it all in, take time off and then just reflect and then just
[6:47] say thank you for half, half come.
[6:50] Thank you for not giving up. Thank you for weathering the
[6:53] storms and everything. So I don't think it ever gets to
[6:56] that moment for me where I, I sometimes feels like a dream.
[7:02] And then sometimes you wake up because the realities will hit
[7:05] you. You know, it's not a dream yet.
[7:06] So lately what I'm doing is I'm just being intentional.
[7:10] Just reflect. Thank God for the process.
[7:12] Thank God for the journey. That's why.
[7:13] And then keep choking milestones and the things that we want to
[7:17] keep doing. Yeah.
[7:18] Yeah, but like in, in the past, like what?
[7:20] At what point in the past? Maybe it was it 3 years ago.
[7:24] Was it 4 years ago that you said you saw yourself building
[7:27] property? When it comes to when it comes
[7:31] to me as a pressing, and I've always been that guy who is like
[7:35] right from my sophomore year in university, I've always been
[7:39] that guy who's like looking out for opportunities, what to do
[7:43] next and stuff like that. And so, and I would always tell
[7:47] friends that I know I'd be somebody great some way, somehow
[7:50] I just know I'd be somebody great.
[7:51] I, I don't know how because for me, my, my, my work is to think
[7:57] of what I want to do, execute it.
[7:59] And sometimes even how you go about execution, you live with
[8:02] an intelligence that's greater than you, which is God.
[8:04] And then God will order your steps, though you play your
[8:07] part. So for me, real estate as a
[8:10] conversation, I think as far back as like 2020 post COVID,
[8:16] the whole of 2020, I was stuck in Nigeria because I've gone to
[8:20] do some work, it didn't happen. And then came back to Ghana that
[8:24] year and we had, I had a company then called Large Group LLC
[8:28] doesn't operate any longer. And one of the subsidiaries of
[8:31] Large Group LLC was Emerald Holdings.
[8:33] Now Emerald Holdings was a real estate company.
[8:37] And you know, at that point I decided to do something for
[8:41] myself in real estate and with Emerald Holdings we started
[8:47] considering doing something maybe from an entertainment
[8:50] side. So we decided to go into
[8:52] building of a lounge and it didn't work.
[8:55] It failed drastically. Now that Emerald holdings
[8:58] conversation led to led me to having a real estate discussion
[9:03] with my Co founder who is Oscar. And Oscar has been like, like
[9:09] one of the I recently made a post, I said every leader needs
[9:13] a Modica in their life. And so Oscar's like that Modica
[9:16] in my life. I've known him over 15 years or
[9:19] almost 15 years. Like he's been that that person.
[9:22] So Oscar's like in my office were talking.
[9:25] He's like, oh, he's considered because he came from a fashion
[9:28] background. So all the clothes you see me
[9:31] where he makes them, including the one you saw the UPSC
[9:34] program, his company makes them. So it's called Oscar Davis Koto.
[9:36] So Oscar comes in and he's like, he's at that point where he
[9:40] wants to transition and no longer just do fashion.
[9:43] He wants to do real estate. And I'm like, Can you believe
[9:47] I've been like going back and forth on this?
[9:49] So at that point, and one of the things intuitively I've always
[9:53] known is that I know that one of the things I'm supposed to be on
[9:58] this earth to do is to build partnerships for me is always
[10:01] partnerships over over competition, collaboration over
[10:04] competition. The reason being that I've
[10:06] observed something with Nigerians and Nigerian would
[10:09] walk into a room with 10 people to make a deal of 10 billion so
[10:12] that everybody gets a piece of the pie, but the average
[10:15] Ghanaian walking alone and lose it and doesn't care.
[10:17] So for me, I've always looked at and of course if you think about
[10:21] it, if you look at the best performing companies in the
[10:24] world, the people who are you know, known for them in terms of
[10:28] personal brand fronts, they own pretty much very little of the
[10:31] of the pie. But you see, 1% of a billion is
[10:33] better than 100% of 0. So you would want to do that.
[10:37] So I had that conversation with Oscar there and there in my
[10:39] office that that day we came up with the name a Fremont
[10:43] Atlantic. So Oscar is frame pong, I'm
[10:45] Atta. So we came up with Frame FRIM,
[10:49] then Art, then we got Fremont, then we're like there are three
[10:53] partners in the business. So we brought God.
[10:56] The reason being that both of us are Kingdom people and we
[10:59] subscribe to the same things when it comes to faith.
[11:01] And for me as a person, I believe that the greatest
[11:04] entrepreneur to ever do it is God.
[11:06] He built a business in six days. He retired on the 7th day.
[11:10] It's been 2000 plus years. He has 8 billion people working
[11:13] for him. His system hasn't crashed.
[11:15] Even when it felt like Satan wanted to do something, he still
[11:18] manoeuvred his way around it. So I'm like, you want to you
[11:20] want to think of strategy long term.
[11:22] You want to think of building something the longest you go
[11:25] back to God. And so we introduce the A to
[11:27] represent alpha English. You say alpha and Omega in
[11:31] Hebrew. You say I left half.
[11:32] So we brought a. So that's how come we got a free
[11:35] math and Atlantic because we're like, we want to do development
[11:39] at a certain scale and we're trusting God for the grace and
[11:42] the capacity to do that. And so we brought Atlantic just
[11:46] to say that it's just a matter of time.
[11:48] We may have started from a car, but soon we should be doing
[11:51] developments at the heights of the Benghazis in Dubai and stuff
[11:54] like that. And so that's where the whole
[11:56] thing started from. And when we registered the
[11:59] company, we're like, how do we start?
[12:01] And brother, trust me, it was crazy like you go about because
[12:05] again, you want to get the real estate location, location,
[12:08] location rule one location rule 2 location rule 3 location.
[12:12] So where you're building is very important and I understand that
[12:15] from a scripture standpoint to because the Bible said that and
[12:19] you shall be like a tree planted by rivers of living waters.
[12:22] Why is a tree planted by the river advantageous position in
[12:25] strategic connection? Because the river becomes a
[12:29] source of nourishment for the tree.
[12:31] So again, your location for your development is like very
[12:34] important. You want to put it at a place
[12:35] where it will sell and those places are very, very expensive.
[12:40] So for us, we started off building for people in Kumasi.
[12:44] Oscar at the time knew some people would try it off If you I
[12:47] think now I've archived it, but maybe on my page would go there.
[12:50] We should have nothing really was picking up.
[12:54] We came in at some point decided to help people sell, but at the
[12:57] very cover wanted to do, wanted to do our own developments.
[13:00] And so the whole real estate conversations like from 2020,
[13:05] we've always wanted to do that. And people followed my body of
[13:08] work know that I started something.
[13:11] Open Sesame was a lounge in Field, but in our current
[13:15] development, Solar residence, there's a lounge in there.
[13:18] And I'm naming it Open Sesame because division is bad for an
[13:21] appointed time will surely come to pass.
[13:23] You failed doesn't mean you're a failure.
[13:24] Yeah. And I picked my lessons from
[13:26] those places, all my scars, as a badge of Anna.
[13:29] And we've been pushing. We've been pushing.
[13:31] And so that's where the whole real estate conversation came
[13:34] in. Yeah, 2020.
[13:35] Interesting, so I gather you studied development planning?
[13:38] Yes, AST too, I gave you come back to that.
[13:42] It's good. You mentioned partnerships and
[13:44] like the power of partnerships in business.
[13:45] I think it's something I've come to appreciate very dearly lately
[13:50] and what you mentioned with your friend and adding God, you know,
[13:54] Ecclesiastes 412 the two kind of a combat and the three is trying
[13:57] to quite kind of be broken. Absolutely.
[13:59] So it's good. And so now I'm wondering you're,
[14:03] you're barely undertaking $1,000,000 projects, right?
[14:09] Where did this audacity come from?
[14:11] You know, because I know you're, you're born in Inchi, back
[14:15] backwater. You know.
[14:18] Where did it start? From where?
[14:19] Parents. Entrepreneurs.
[14:21] So my, my mother is, my dad is more structure.
[14:25] He's more like system, system, system.
[14:27] So he works in a gold company. My, my mother is more
[14:31] entrepreneurial, you know, but audacity for me is, I think that
[14:36] as I grew as a young man understanding the tenets of life
[14:40] and how things, you know, evolved, I came to a place to
[14:44] understand that the size of your action is much more important
[14:48] than the size of your dream. So the size of your action is
[14:54] much more important than the size of your dream.
[14:57] At the end of the day, life is hard, whether you like it or
[15:00] not. Life is spiritual, life is hard,
[15:02] and The thing is that there's a constant in there when it comes
[15:07] to life. There's a constant cost.
[15:09] It's called suffering. So you choose how you want to
[15:12] suffer. If you're going to suffer for a
[15:14] bigger dream, it's the same as suffering for a smaller dream.
[15:16] Still suffering. You'd suffer whatever thing you
[15:18] want to achieve, whatever thing you want to do, you'd go through
[15:21] some form of suffering. So suffering is a fixed cost of
[15:25] life. And the thing with that mindset
[15:28] is lots of people are dreaming. Loads of people want to do big
[15:32] things, but few are taking the necessary action.
[15:35] For every skill, for every dream, for every vision that you
[15:38] want to do, there is a requisite amount of action and volume of
[15:42] work you need to put in for you to be able to achieve that.
[15:45] And so for instance, you and I are having this conversation
[15:48] today. People are going to be blessed
[15:49] by it. Millions of people are going to
[15:51] subscribe later. But for you to get to the diary
[15:53] of a CEO level, there must be the volume of work that Steve
[15:57] has put in that you're also ready to put in for you to hit
[16:00] that level. And so for me, university all
[16:04] through till you know, I, I became conscious as a young
[16:08] cause from university. My sophomore year, I started
[16:10] something, it failed after uni, I started, I did another thing,
[16:13] it failed. All of those journeys of my
[16:16] becoming. I think the reality hit me when
[16:18] I met a man called Ubon King because he made me understand
[16:21] that everything you see in the front end is engineered in the
[16:25] back end. And he said to me, the back end
[16:27] is work, the back end is action, the back end is putting in
[16:30] there. So for me, that audacity, I
[16:35] always say Ubon King is that man God brought into my life to call
[16:37] for the greatness out of me because I always knew I had it.
[16:40] I always knew I could do something.
[16:41] But it's like there's that subtle voice that tells you who
[16:46] in your family has done it. There's that subtle voice that
[16:48] tells you your friends will talk.
[16:51] People would say you can't do this.
[16:52] People would say you can't do that.
[16:53] So I just came to that room of understanding and I'm like, you
[16:57] know what? For everything I want to do, I
[16:59] just need to understand what amount of work must start
[17:01] putting. So other things I tell my
[17:03] friends is there's no out of envy me about anything I do.
[17:06] I don't envy any man because the guy who is doing the things I
[17:10] want to do is not water that's flowing into him is blood.
[17:14] The blood is not green, is not blue, is red.
[17:17] So at the end of the day, is he a man like me?
[17:19] Is he doing the things I'm doing?
[17:20] Then what's the science behind what he's doing?
[17:23] If he can teach the science of what he's doing and I can learn
[17:26] it, I'll apply myself to it. Because for most people, they
[17:29] learn, but they don't apply themselves to the things they're
[17:31] learning. So I'd apply myself to it and
[17:33] then I'll put in the work and then get the results.
[17:35] And so for me, that's where the whole thing came from.
[17:39] And when I came into that understanding, I'm like, for
[17:42] everything we want to do, we need to put in the work, We need
[17:45] to increase the effort. So for me, I'm all about don't
[17:48] decrease the goal, increase the effort that you need to put in
[17:51] to hit the goal. So we set a target, we want to
[17:55] do this, OK, how do we achieve this?
[17:58] What amount of work must we put in to achieve it?
[18:01] And you see the thing with the mind is the moment you start
[18:04] conditioning it like that, it finds ways for you now because
[18:08] you need to put in effort. You now go out, you now try to
[18:12] strike the right partnerships. You now want to.
[18:14] It's like you become somebody who is like a seeker.
[18:17] It's like you're on a certain quest.
[18:18] Till you hit that milestone, you're not OK.
[18:21] Till you hit that milestone, you are not, you're not satisfied.
[18:25] So you keep going. You keep going.
[18:26] And so that's where the audacity has come from.
[18:30] And over time, one of the things is faith.
[18:34] If you express your faith because faith is unseen.
[18:38] God calls a man called Abraham to come out from his people, his
[18:43] kindred to a land. He'll show him.
[18:45] And Can you imagine there was no Google map in Abraham's time for
[18:48] him to know that we're going here?
[18:50] God says out to a land, I'll show you nothing, you could have
[18:52] died. But a guy steps out in faith.
[18:55] No wonder he's called a friend of God.
[18:56] And Christianity is a faith thing.
[18:59] So he steps out in faith and then the outcome of his life is
[19:03] evident. According to the principle of
[19:05] first mentioned in the Scriptures, the first person to
[19:07] be called very rich in the Bible is Abraham.
[19:11] So the first person in the scriptures to be called very
[19:13] rich is Abraham. So the guy steps out and feet
[19:17] and it is accorded to him. And I think Genesis chapter 12
[19:19] or 13 very rich. I'm like, OK, what's what's in
[19:22] there? So which is to say that life
[19:25] will reward you at the measure of your audacity and feet.
[19:28] And I think we faith is that when you do one thing and OK, I
[19:34] want to put together an event 10 people come.
[19:36] OK, what you've done is you've exercised your faith.
[19:40] Now 10 people coming for your program will not be something
[19:43] difficult for you to do. When I did the UPSC program, one
[19:46] of my mentees came to were having a conversation and I said
[19:49] to him, what you're seeing is years of work.
[19:52] And I said something to him that if I told you I did a master
[19:55] class at one point in time in my journey and nobody turned up,
[19:58] would you believe I put together a whole master class?
[20:02] Paid for a venue, did a flyer, nobody came.
[20:06] That day was only it was only me and the team in the room and
[20:10] nobody came. But here we are to be years
[20:13] later and the results are different because we've come to
[20:16] understand the processes of becoming and all of that.
[20:19] So when you exercise your feet, the next thing is, is like
[20:25] trying to do an apartment. If you build an apartment of
[20:29] five stories and you deliver to clients and you touch a
[20:34] townhouse, A townhouse will feel small.
[20:36] OK, because the fit for a townhouse is not the fit for an
[20:39] apartment. So when you touch a townhouse,
[20:42] if you did an apartment that was probably 600 square foot per
[20:45] slap, and you're probably spending 25 to $40,000 casting
[20:50] the slap. And then now you come to a
[20:52] townhouse where you'd finish your foundation, you cast your
[20:55] slap. Like, OK, that square.
[20:57] Yeah, that square meter is not, is not as big as that of, you
[21:01] know. So unless you probably decide
[21:03] that you're going to do an apartment of 10 stories, this is
[21:06] bigger than your 5 S, The fit you need for 10 is not what you
[21:10] need for 5 S. That's what I've come to realize
[21:12] that at every point in time, whatever vision I set my mind to
[21:16] that by the grace of God and a lot of effort and intentionality
[21:21] I accomplished, I realized that to do the next thing, I was
[21:24] like, OK, you have faith for this.
[21:26] So now stretch and do this. You have faith for this.
[21:29] So now stretch and do this. You have faith for this, now
[21:31] stretch and do this. And that's why the Bible says
[21:33] the part of the righteous will keep shining brighter and
[21:36] brighter and you move from one level of glory to the other.
[21:38] You are not supposed to go from glory to shame or glory to them.
[21:42] It has to keep going. And so that's where for me, it's
[21:44] been and at every point in time, I'm like, like the dream doesn't
[21:47] matter. What efforts do I need to put in
[21:50] the dream doesn't matter. Because at the end of the day,
[21:52] people celebrate the, the efforts, the, the evidence of
[21:56] the efforts more than the dream. And the evidence of the efforts
[21:59] will validate the dream too. You know, So pretty much that's
[22:02] it. Hello community so as our team,
[22:06] we go to great lengths to bring you this content every week and
[22:10] the best way to support what we do is to subscribe so kindly I'm
[22:14] employing you hit the subscribe by saying comment if possible
[22:17] and share with a friend. Thank you.
[22:19] Now I want to take take care, Theresa back a little, OK.
[22:23] You know, you sound like a man of Scripture.
[22:26] So I speak Scripture language. The point the point where your
[22:30] head rise up and walk. So you're born in Enchi.
[22:34] Where did you go to school? So you want to go into my school
[22:38] days. So I, I was born in Enchi.
[22:41] My dad, my dad did well for us. I always say that environment is
[22:46] very important. My dad did very well for us.
[22:49] He moved to a car and in a car started going to a school called
[22:55] Top grade and fintechs. Yeah.
[22:58] I don't, I don't know if it exists any longer.
[23:00] And then that was like, you know, primaries.
[23:02] And then I moved from top grade to elect school.
[23:05] Elect school. I think elect school is still in
[23:07] operation because we're the first batch of people who wrote
[23:10] BC in elect school. Yeah.
[23:12] So we went to, I went to elect school and then I moved from
[23:16] elect school to Anglican Senior High School.
[23:21] Yes. So I moved from elect school to
[23:24] Anglican Senior High School, Kumasi Anglican Supercas,
[23:27] disciples, no science. Yeah.
[23:30] So I moved from there and then from Kumasi Anglican Senior High
[23:35] to Kenya, see where I did PSC development planning and then
[23:38] from there to UPSC for Miami in Branson Communications and then
[23:42] on to the next ones. What influenced the decision to
[23:45] do the Branson Communications? So interestingly, in Senior High
[23:48] School, I did visual arts. A lot of people don't know this.
[23:52] So in in Senior High School I did visual arts and then in uni
[23:56] I did development planning and then brands and communication.
[24:01] Brands and communications because first of a greater part
[24:04] of what I do is communication and client and I'm building
[24:07] brands that will last. So brands and communications
[24:10] first. Of course, there are other
[24:11] programs that I'll take because of the expanse of what I want to
[24:15] do. So definitely in the coming
[24:17] years there'll be programs that I'll be taking.
[24:19] That's because knowledge is very important to every dimension you
[24:23] want to, you know, get to. And so that's what informed like
[24:26] brands and communication and interestingly the things that I
[24:30] learnt from brands and communications.
[24:33] And also because overtime I had built a personal brand of things
[24:36] I had learned, but I didn't really have a certification Yeah
[24:40] for it. So those things that I learned
[24:43] in UPSC, by the grace of God, I used them very much in my line
[24:48] of business and everything. It's informed a lot of things
[24:50] that we execute and we put out so pretty much top grade elect
[24:54] school, elect school, Kumasi Anglican, Senior High, then
[24:58] Kenya C and then UPSC and then on to the next.
[25:02] So that's been like my. Education, because I'm curious
[25:04] about why you decide to do visual arts in Senior High
[25:06] School. Because most people who decide
[25:08] to do visual arts have a certain inclined towards like the
[25:10] creative, you know, they could draw or they could.
[25:14] What was that the thing for you? Yeah, I can draw.
[25:17] OK. Yeah, I can draw my my wife says
[25:21] that where has all your drawing skills and all your, you know,
[25:24] because went to the same Senior High School together.
[25:26] So she's like, yeah. So you met.
[25:29] So you met here. So we've been friends from
[25:31] there. So yeah, that's why I got to
[25:33] know her. So it's like in, in, in Senior
[25:36] High School, you, you had all of these drawing skills and stuff
[25:38] like that. And like, whereas like, you
[25:40] know, I'm like, I'm using it in different ways because it
[25:44] informs I, for me, I don't know about others, but in my opinion,
[25:50] everybody who is doing something amazing as a creator, be whether
[25:56] you work for someone as an entrepreneur or you work for
[25:58] yourself as an entrepreneur, you, you are a creator in
[26:01] somewhat. So for me, I see my world as
[26:05] like the world of an artist. That's how my world always
[26:08] comes. And is the reason you were
[26:10] asking me earlier, why do I call myself Enigma and all of that?
[26:13] Because there's, there's a certain perception I have of the
[26:16] world and that informed visual art and it made me appreciate a
[26:20] lot of things when it comes to color and stuff like that.
[26:22] And interestingly, everything that I've learned, like in my
[26:25] journey, some ways I'm, it comes to play, you know, a very key
[26:28] role because I'm not an architect, but I'm able to tell
[26:31] the architect to do this, do that, do that.
[26:33] And sometimes they're like, where is this knowledge coming
[26:35] from? Atlantic development, planning,
[26:37] you get it. So all of those things come in
[26:40] some way somehow to come and feed it.
[26:42] Sometimes their team is able to design something like there's no
[26:47] visual hierarchy. What you've done, like visual
[26:49] hierarchy. Where did you hear from?
[26:50] And they don't know that I'm coming from a visual arts
[26:53] background, you know, So those are those.
[26:56] And I remember one of my friends like the way you're always even
[27:00] from like he's known me from primary.
[27:02] So it's like you, you've been like, you want to do business,
[27:05] you want to do business. Why visual art?
[27:07] Visual idea want? To be from aiding business in
[27:10] Jesus. No, I used to talk about it.
[27:12] OK, Yeah. So I I had the opportunity to
[27:15] read very early and not because maybe in our home there are like
[27:18] lots of books, but the school will take us to a library.
[27:22] I think it was at Tema or so. So that's when I started reading
[27:25] books and it blighting, started reading novels, came to read
[27:28] some business. I was like, oh, so there are
[27:31] business people, you know, they're like that where you can,
[27:34] you know, do business. So I started one of my friends
[27:37] that owe me there. I wanted to do business.
[27:38] I wanted to do business. So when I think I was going to
[27:41] Anglicans and I was going, he was going to his infancy Pima so
[27:44] and he was like, Hey, me that I say, I want to do business
[27:48] sometime. I go and read business.
[27:49] Why are you going to read visual?
[27:50] As you know, I'm like, it's still a means to an end, you
[27:53] know, So and I I decided to and then also because I think I also
[27:57] wanted to define a setting or there's this thing that visual
[28:00] students are not serious. Visual students can make it in
[28:03] life. So I'm like, no, we'll be
[28:06] serious. We'll get it done.
[28:07] We'll put in the work, you know, so we did.
[28:11] It leads me to it's good to mention, I mean prior
[28:13] conversation on the websites. It's the three are defined by
[28:17] three words versus B Brintu, Arthur and the enigma, the
[28:24] mogul, the man. So now I'm curious.
[28:28] Probably. Research well.
[28:30] Detection the three words enigma I mean detached on it.
[28:35] What? Why?
[28:35] Why? Why do you think you you want
[28:37] Enigma? I come off mysterious.
[28:44] I come off grossly misunderstood.
[28:48] Yeah. And I, I remember when we put
[28:52] together my first website, I think that was like 2021.
[28:56] Yeah, 2021 we put together like my first website and then we
[29:00] have updated it. So when we're updating the
[29:02] things like should we create a script for you?
[29:05] Because the first one we created your script, I'm like, no, I'm
[29:09] in a setting room of consciousness.
[29:10] Let me write about myself and give to you guys.
[29:12] So I remember Nathan was like enigma.
[29:16] I'm like, yeah, because at that point in time, I'd looked at my
[29:19] life and I'm like, oftentimes I've been very much
[29:23] misunderstood because maybe sometimes people are like,
[29:26] you're too ambitious, you're too young.
[29:30] Why do you want to do this? Why do you want to do that?
[29:33] So for me, it's that. And again, is because at the end
[29:37] of the day, people project their insecurities and their fears,
[29:43] probably of things that they've not been able to achieve on you
[29:45] when you say you want to execute them.
[29:47] And so when now you execute them, it comes of mysterious to
[29:51] them. So that's where the enigma thing
[29:53] comes from. And I've seen that play out
[29:55] almost every time like you, you set your mind, you want to do
[29:59] this. Oh, it's not done.
[30:01] It cannot be done. You can't do it.
[30:02] Then you defy the odds. Then it comes of, oh, this, Oh,
[30:05] that's so that's where the whole enigma thing comes from the
[30:09] mogul, because I always said that I'll be a business mogul in
[30:13] this country on the continent beyond.
[30:15] And so from like 2018, I'd make a post and then I'll write a
[30:19] hashtag, the making of a mogul. So I'd make all my Instagram
[30:23] posts. If you, if you search that
[30:24] hashtag on social media, the making of a mogul, you'd
[30:27] probably see a lot of my contents coming up.
[30:29] I at some point stopped because, and I used to use the making
[30:33] because the making of a mogul in the sense that, and that's 2000,
[30:37] my process of becoming and my, my process of making.
[30:41] And I still think I am in my process of becoming and still my
[30:45] my process of making. So I called the mogul and then
[30:49] the man because at the very core of everything that I do, I'm
[30:53] simply just a man, you know, helped by God and a man who is
[30:57] like very passionate about leaving people better than I
[31:01] found them, the world a better place.
[31:04] I get to do that when I have the opportunity to share knowledge.
[31:06] I get to do that when I see people's lives becoming better
[31:10] because we also left. I get to do that when I see
[31:13] people's lives becoming better because we also didn't shy away
[31:16] from the stereotype that we can share stories, we can make
[31:19] people better. So at the core of everything is
[31:21] like, there's just this human aspect to me and I, I do that a
[31:26] lot to also speak to young people that if you see MBA doing
[31:29] anything, there's nothing extraordinary about MBA.
[31:32] It's. Just a.
[31:33] Man, it's just a man who's just decided with God's help, with a
[31:37] lot of vision, with a lot of focus, with a lot of discipline
[31:40] and an obsession to be the best. Anything you set your mind to
[31:43] can be done. So I speak to the young people.
[31:45] I'm like perspective of where you're coming from.
[31:47] You're a man like me. If you set your mind to it, you
[31:51] can become. You can do it.
[31:52] Yeah. Yeah.
[31:53] So. It's interesting you mentioned
[31:55] that in 2018 you're making post and leaving the hashtag you're
[31:58] making of a mogul 2018. I guess you were the National
[32:01] service at the time. 20/21/2021 was when I completed Kenya C so
[32:07] I was still in Kenya C by. Then oh, OK, OK, OK,
[32:10] interesting. And so 2018 you knew you were
[32:13] going to be here, you're going to become a mogul and I'm sure
[32:16] by then you have started your first business.
[32:17] When did you start your first business?
[32:19] Kenya C Second year, I think I was probably 15.
[32:22] What second, No, first business. Yes, second year, second
[32:25] business 2021. Yeah.
[32:28] Yes, that's city broadcast. That's 21.
[32:30] Your favorite city broadcast? No second business?
[32:32] What about the first business? The first business prior
[32:34] deliveries and Coinbase as in Kenya St. second year, yeah,
[32:38] when I started that crypto, yeah, crypto delivery by field.
[32:42] What are they thinking behind that?
[32:44] So. First off, why do you use that
[32:46] to start a business when you're on campus?
[32:48] So give. Me, the book or?
[32:51] So I'll go to that. So for me, I again, I'm
[32:57] sometimes mysterious because of how I have like a certain
[32:59] outlook on life. So like this year, for instance,
[33:01] I started seeing from first January, I started posting on my
[33:04] WhatsApp status. 2025 was a great year, yeah.
[33:07] I've seen. It and I had people texting me,
[33:10] your spelling is wrong, the English is wrong.
[33:12] Why? We just started the year.
[33:15] Then we're like, Hey, you've seen and the years ended because
[33:18] in my mind, I'm like, I decided I I said, I thought through the
[33:22] whole year and I said to myself, irrespective of the outcomes of
[33:25] this year, my decree is simple. It was a great year.
[33:29] So I would always say that December 31st, 2025, when I
[33:33] reflect on the year, what should be the sum in my mind that was a
[33:37] great year irrespective of what happened.
[33:38] So this one, I was on a video called my executive and we're
[33:41] discussing a few things for 2026 and he's like say yesterday I
[33:45] was thinking, you said this year is a great year.
[33:47] I looked at my goals and it's like I've trust most of them.
[33:50] So 2026 will be what then? We just laughed about.
[33:54] And. Then we just laughed about it.
[33:56] I'm like, let's see what's what's what's inspiring my heart
[33:59] as I think continue to instance. But just back to that, what
[34:03] inspired I'd read Rich that product and when I read Rich
[34:07] that almost. Everybody's entry into this
[34:10] foray. Yeah, because God bless you.
[34:14] Yeah, he's a gift. So when I read Rich, that
[34:17] product, I don't know about what others picked, but something
[34:21] changed for me. I stopped seeing my upkeep money
[34:24] my father was giving me as upkeep money.
[34:28] I started seeing it as salary. So I was like, you're going to
[34:31] school. So I said to myself, Kofi,
[34:33] you're going to school. You're working for your dad.
[34:36] Upkeep money is your salary. It's informed how I played with
[34:40] that money, informed how I moved with that money.
[34:44] So, and then again, I, I instead in scripture, I realized that
[34:50] almost everybody who did something great started young so
[34:53] they could make their mistakes. And David was my case study in
[34:56] that period. I remember in, in university
[34:59] second, I was very much obsessed about David as a person, as a
[35:02] leader, the kind of hats he had. So I was like, why?
[35:07] Why is this guy in the presence of soul?
[35:12] So throw a spear at him and he'll still be there.
[35:14] What kind of a hat does he have? What kind of a heart does he
[35:19] have as a person to see the weaknesses of soul?
[35:22] And yet that's not going to broadcast it to people.
[35:25] So David was such an and he still is.
[35:27] And so I realized, OK, this guy is anointed, but he goes back
[35:33] into the wilderness to go and still continue his processes of
[35:36] becoming. And by means of what he did in
[35:39] the back end, when he showed up in front of gulag, everything he
[35:42] did was like dress hairs. He's done it before, you know,
[35:44] just at this time around he was doing it in front of people.
[35:48] So I said to somebody that UPSC, one of my friends was like I
[35:54] said to I said, if I told you that I scripted my introduction
[35:57] and I knew word for word what I said, He said it didn't look
[36:00] like as I've been doing it for eight years.
[36:02] So that's how come it didn't look like that, you know?
[36:04] So when I looked at David, I realized that it takes time to
[36:09] build great things, so start early.
[36:12] So I noticed David started early.
[36:14] He made the mistakes he needed to make.
[36:16] He learnt the things he needed to learn, and he informed the
[36:20] kind of leadership he brought into the game when he came to
[36:23] the nation of Israel. So I decided, OK, this is you
[36:26] saying right from GSS, you want to be a businessman, You want to
[36:29] be a businessman. At least that's it.
[36:32] And interestingly, that I thought business is, oh, you
[36:34] open a social media account online, See you.
[36:36] Yeah, no. So my friend at the time, I had
[36:39] a friend, he mentioned to me for the first time that there's
[36:42] something called Bitcoin would take over the world.
[36:44] I said, hey, what is that? He just like any infancy
[36:47] business, so be fruitsful. Para, that's the Hebrew word for
[36:52] it. So I came up para deliveries and
[36:53] Coinbase and I didn't even know what it was about as like in
[36:57] Tibetan, are we going to sell this?
[36:59] So I remember at the time I had a place, set it up as an office,
[37:03] took a few pictures. I think it's apparently some of
[37:05] them will still be on my socials because.
[37:07] The other planet plows would sell crypto.
[37:09] So he was like, oh, he can help. He has a friend in what's the
[37:14] name of this country? It starts with AC Cambodia.
[37:21] No, it's. Camaron.
[37:22] It's not African, it's like Czech Republic.
[37:26] So he's like he has a friend in Czech Republic who can get us
[37:29] Bitcoin. Our work would be to go to
[37:32] students and tell them that, hey, there's there's a new
[37:35] currency coming. And at that time he's like, then
[37:38] when we make some more money from it, we'll buy bikes.
[37:42] Then when we buy bikes, we use it for the delivery.
[37:44] So that's how come Para delivery and Coinbase, OK, so the
[37:48] deliveries in there. So to that, if you look at the
[37:51] brand manual value, it has like a trolley, the, the brand
[37:55] manual, everything has like a trolley has, you know, Bitcoin,
[37:58] a gold thing and all of that. But I, I came into a place to
[38:02] understand that business is not just about branding.
[38:07] You know, there's a cost for you to get a client, right?
[38:12] And that cost could be time, it could be trust, it could be
[38:15] money you're spending on marketing, ETC.
[38:17] Then there's the, there's what you would get from that client.
[38:23] So there's the cost for you to get to the client, there's what
[38:25] you'd get from the client. Now the difference, which is
[38:30] what you get from the client is basically what business is
[38:32] about, which is profitability. So at the end of the day,
[38:35] whatever input you're putting in, it's the output that matters
[38:39] the most, you know? So I was like, then we're doing
[38:42] this whole business thing wrong. Then I realized that, OK, you're
[38:45] just excited about the idea. You are not really paying
[38:48] attention to the idea. So that really changed my
[38:51] perspective on doing business. I'm like, no, if you want to do
[38:54] business, you need to understand what you're dealing with.
[38:56] You need to have customers. So I dropped that and I was
[38:59] like, at that time, what will be the next thing to hop on the
[39:03] guitar marketing was now social media and it's wave was now
[39:06] taking up. So I established City Broadcast
[39:10] Limited. So broadcast to the city.
[39:12] City Broadcast where? University.
[39:15] I just complete when I OK, when I, when I thought of it, I was
[39:18] just about to complete. It was like April that year in
[39:21] 2017. So and I was just doing 1 when
[39:24] when we thought of city broadcast.
[39:25] So city broadcast. Then I decided that OK, because
[39:28] I'm passionate about people becoming better versions of
[39:31] themselves. What will help will be to start
[39:35] organizing entrepreneurial event.
[39:38] So Entrepreneurship Hub Africa which is now fully like
[39:42] nonprofits which curates the Trail Blazers United event and
[39:46] every other nonprofit initiative that we do.
[39:48] Entrepreneurship Hub Africa was first a flagship event of City
[39:51] Broadcast OK in 2017, where we put together the first event at
[39:55] Golden Bean Hotel in commercial. Was that way you did a master
[39:58] class in Nobody? No, that one actually, that's my
[40:01] first event and I like 200 people.
[40:03] Sure, yeah. So that one, the master, the
[40:06] master class was in AKA yeah, it was like 2021 thereabouts.
[40:10] Archived that that flyer fast. And so I remember, yeah,
[40:19] Entrepreneurship Half of Africa was the company's.
[40:22] It was the company's flagship event.
[40:25] Then later I was like, no, let's separate the two.
[40:29] Let's let Entrepreneurship, Half of Africa, be what it is.
[40:32] So it becomes the nonprofits that inspires the next
[40:35] generation of Ghanaians and people across the continent to
[40:39] think bigger, dream louder, act bolder.
[40:41] So we separated it and then city broadcast.
[40:43] And then at some point in time, so city broadcast was like I was
[40:48] very passionate about it because I really took time to study.
[40:51] I went to, I don't know, I think it's no longer called Allison,
[40:54] but I went on a website then called Allison.
[40:57] They used to offer digital marketing program.
[40:59] So based off of the field experience on the first one, I
[41:02] went on Allison. I took diplomats in digital
[41:05] marketing just to understand content creation, all of those
[41:09] things. And there was this guy who used
[41:12] to have an IT business called ITB in I think around IE.
[41:16] This time it was supposed to be your national service.
[41:18] Where? Where do you do National
[41:19] Service? It was Kumasi Metropolitan.
[41:23] So I remember I went to ITB, Somebody introduced me to him.
[41:28] I went to him. Like your business, you can put
[41:31] it on social media. So he was literally the first
[41:33] person who became my first client.
[41:35] Yeah, I think his name was Don Wet or something.
[41:37] I've forgotten. Yeah, Don Wet.
[41:38] So he became like my first client and he was paying me and
[41:41] he was paying me more than my national service allowance.
[41:44] I was like, OK, this thing, if you pay attention to it, it
[41:47] would do good. So in my mind, and I'm a numbers
[41:48] person. So in my mind, I'm like, OK, if
[41:52] don't wait to spin you 800, you get 10 people.
[41:54] It's 8000. I was just doing the math, like
[41:56] in my head, you know, till we decided to move their business
[41:59] to a car. That was in 2019.
[42:04] Yeah. By that time I had done
[42:06] entrepreneurship, hap Africa, and it was taking shape.
[42:09] It was taking shape. And then that was it.
[42:11] Yeah. I see and then from How did the
[42:13] Lux group come in? So Lux group came in when I when
[42:18] I came back from Nigeria, I was like, you know what set up the
[42:22] group put entrepreneurship of Africa city broadcast and all of
[42:26] those things under then let's build and raise leaders who
[42:31] would in their own capacity man these things.
[42:34] But I think that when I sit down now and I reflect on it, it's
[42:38] still something that as I grow as a businessman, I do.
[42:40] I think that maybe the timing was wrong.
[42:42] Yeah. I see.
[42:44] OK, so you keep mentioning going to Nigeria and meeting you born
[42:48] king and that's where your mindset change and things
[42:51] shifted for you. I've heard you say somewhere
[42:54] that your girlfriend at the time give you the tickets, give you
[42:58] manufacture to go. OK.
[43:00] Are you married to her now? Yes.
[43:02] Oh, that's nice. And so why did you decide to go
[43:06] to Nigeria at what point in this journey?
[43:08] Because now it seems like you're doing well.
[43:09] You started like a digital marketing company.
[43:13] You've got a client that I pay you good money more than your
[43:15] allowance. Like 8. 100 Yeah.
[43:18] So what fed this hunger? Why did you decide?
[43:22] OK, this is not it. I want more.
[43:25] OK. So like I said earlier, success
[43:28] is like the, it's like the air you're breathing in.
[43:34] To anybody who's accomplished a certain level of success, the
[43:37] next one is more important than what they accomplished.
[43:39] It's like somebody who say, oh, when I, when I build just one
[43:44] townhouse, I'm OK, I'm and I sell, I'll, I'll stop.
[43:48] Then you sell and you're like, OK, I can do to, I can.
[43:52] So at that point, what's happening is your feet is
[43:54] increasing. That's what I was explaining
[43:56] earlier. So as one who is like, I'm very
[43:59] much excited about knowledge because in life, what you don't
[44:04] know is darker than the night. So for me, I'm like, for
[44:07] anything you want to be competent at, make sure you
[44:11] steady, make sure you acquire the requisite knowledge.
[44:15] It would save you a lot of stress.
[44:17] The guy who is doing something at a certain skill knows
[44:21] something that you don't know. And so you don't downplay it.
[44:25] So in my journey, and I'm, I'm always about becoming like
[44:29] better, a better version of myself.
[44:31] Because by extension, if you want to build a company, you
[44:35] have to build yourself before God skills your business.
[44:38] He has to skill you because what you add to your very core is
[44:42] what will reflect in your leadership of that business.
[44:45] So I'm always like learning, like literally whenever I
[44:48] travel, the first thing on my mind is not even like clothes,
[44:51] it's books. Because reading is like it's one
[44:56] of the easiest ways to buy into the minds of people, is one of
[45:00] the easiest with every time I'm reading, it's like I'm having a
[45:03] dialogue with the person I'm reading, whoever's book I'm
[45:05] reading. Because what happens is that if
[45:08] I want to know about Nelson Mandela and how he builds
[45:11] resilience and how he went to what he went to, it is in his
[45:14] book. If I want to know about Benjamin
[45:18] Franklin, it is in his book. If I want to know about Marcus
[45:21] Aurelius, it is in his book. So if I want to know about all
[45:23] of these greats who have worked here, it is in the book.
[45:27] And some of the times the things that the, the kind of
[45:30] disciplines and the kind of attitudes they developed to
[45:33] overcome certain challenges are pretty much the things that we
[45:37] also need to also develop to be able to overcome the same
[45:40] challenges. So I'm always learning.
[45:42] And then in 2018, I came across a video one night.
[45:47] I'm a night old. I study a lot in the night.
[45:50] That's I feel like the world is very quiet in the night.
[45:53] That's when I get to like just reflect, rethink and all of
[45:56] that. So I picked my phone and I went
[46:00] to YouTube and a video just hits me of a man speaking and he said
[46:04] implementations. That's implementation is in the
[46:10] no. What did he say?
[46:11] He said implementation, productivity starts at night.
[46:14] Implementation is in the daytime.
[46:17] Now that was a profound statement for me because that
[46:19] night I was looking at why God said the evening and the morning
[46:24] were the first day. Why not the morning and the
[46:27] evening? Why did he start from the
[46:28] evening and the morning? Then I just go on YouTube and
[46:31] then the man says productivity starts at night, implementation
[46:36] is in the daytime. I was like, who's this guy?
[46:39] So I realized the name was the Ubank King.
[46:41] I said OK, went YouTube, said he had contents.
[46:45] That was like, OK. And the thing about me is when I
[46:48] find somebody I want to learn from, I devour everything I can
[46:51] find. And it's it's the reason why
[46:54] sometimes young people want access to certain people and
[46:58] they they don't even do as much research to even know the names
[47:01] of their businesses. When I met Ubanka, I knew I knew
[47:04] the names of all his four children because he said it in
[47:07] persons in different videos. You only take somebody who is
[47:09] very diligent to know these things.
[47:10] Yeah. So, Santa, I told you, I'm like,
[47:12] you want to meet this person? Make sure by the time you meet
[47:15] the person, the person should be able to see a certain reflection
[47:18] of their work. You claim you admire in you, You
[47:21] know, So I picked a diary. I've.
[47:24] I like to write. I feel like the best way to know
[47:26] yourself is to write. So I write a lot.
[47:29] And then I started watching from the very first video he uploaded
[47:33] on YouTube, I started watching app.
[47:35] So I was watching, making notes, watching, making notes.
[47:38] And I was like, I found out that he has an event called
[47:42] Tincation. I said I have to go for this
[47:45] event because for me, I'm like, the value of a relationship is
[47:48] what you bring to it. It's not what you extract.
[47:50] So in every relationship you seek to build, be an active
[47:53] contributor to it. Don't be a Leech, you know?
[47:56] So I'm like, OK, I'll go for this program now.
[47:58] I've never been to Nigeria before.
[48:00] I don't know anybody there. I've never travelled outside of
[48:04] Ghana before. So how do I go?
[48:06] What do I do? So I'm like, oh, to go to
[48:09] Nigeria. I looked at flight, I couldn't
[48:10] afford it. I was like, OK, what are that we
[48:13] because Economic Community of West African state.
[48:16] I can travel which and I desert bus.
[48:18] I said OK, now I went to make enquiries.
[48:22] God is good. At the time it was 500 cities.
[48:24] I was like, OK, 500 and you have the money, which you had, I
[48:28] think connected mine. So, so and I my, I think my wife
[48:34] then my wife now who's then like my beloved, she was working in a
[48:38] bank. So she gave me some money.
[48:41] And then I entered the bus with two of my friends, Gabby and
[48:43] David. And when we're going, I told my
[48:47] dad that, oh, Daddy, please, the flight is at this time.
[48:50] Now at that time, my dad is like Boko Haram and everything.
[48:55] So don't go. And for me, my philosophy is the
[48:58] word is like a book. I also don't travel, read a
[49:01] page. Nigeria is big.
[49:03] If you haven't been there, you think they are blasting
[49:04] everywhere. So that's like, don't go this as
[49:08] like me call you guys a holiday save bomb Bianco.
[49:11] So there's no Boko Haram or anything.
[49:13] What time is your flight? Meanwhile, I knew because I knew
[49:16] if I said bass, hey, so I think he watched.
[49:20] I shared this at Trail Blazers and then my younger brother took
[49:24] a video and sent it to him and he was like, it's paid off.
[49:26] So he doesn't have anything to say.
[49:29] So I remember when we're going, my my two other brothers were
[49:32] like, hey, what if something happened?
[49:33] I'm like, God is with us, we'll be OK.
[49:36] It's also an adventure for us. So because I knew now I had two
[49:39] lives tied to me who said they also wanted to go?
[49:42] I decided that guy, I'm not going to sleep.
[49:46] Why do we? So every time the bus stops, I'm
[49:48] looking because we and finally we travelled in the night.
[49:51] So I was I was like I was very alert and mind you, as I'm a
[49:53] nice person. So at that time I'd make sure I
[49:56] had my e-book ready. I'll reach till we get to Lagos.
[50:00] So when we got to the bus moved at 5:00 when we got to around 6
[50:03] W African regions. So I messaged my dad that
[50:05] because I checked on Google flights from Ghana to Nigeria as
[50:08] 45 and so six I messaged my dad that we have arrived safely.
[50:12] Then I turned off my phone because I knew you video call
[50:15] you want to, So I turn off the phone and we were on.
[50:18] We went through Togo, went through Benin, we entered
[50:22] Nigeria and then go to the station.
[50:25] I was like Uber. So I requested a ride.
[50:28] I kid in our Airbnb. I didn't even know that there
[50:30] was mainland and island in Nigeria and Lagos.
[50:33] So our Airbnb was at mainland. The program was happening on the
[50:37] island sounds like. So I requested an Uber.
[50:40] The guy who came out, I remember his name Solomon because I'm
[50:43] still in touch with him. So Solomon was the Uber driver
[50:45] who came and he's like you people are going to Fagba.
[50:48] Why now it's too far. I said Uber, I saw it on Airbnb
[50:52] is like, it's very far my brother, but he still drove us.
[50:55] So I was like, OK, the way you've been kind to us, I don't
[50:58] know anybody in Nigeria. So let me take your number.
[51:01] Then tomorrow you come and pick us for the tinkation program,
[51:04] which is on the island. How much do you charge?
[51:06] So he quoted the amounts like you've seen the Airbnb now.
[51:09] So tomorrow come and pick. It's like, OK, so we went for
[51:12] tinkation and I think it was the first time I've been to a
[51:16] conference like 7000 people from us.
[51:19] Like which man is this? And for me, I'm like some way,
[51:23] somehow Ubankim has noticed me in this meeting.
[51:27] So when the event was happening, I think it was a panel session,
[51:31] they asked some questions. I left that because they didn't
[51:34] think anybody came from outside of Nigeria.
[51:36] When WAVY awarding, they gave somebody who came from Kanu or
[51:39] something an iPhone. I was like, yeah, I came from
[51:41] Ghana, but they didn't know. So during the one guy asked the
[51:46] question, I still made a contribution.
[51:48] So when we finished the program, I noticed that one king is a
[51:50] people's person. So he was interacting with the
[51:53] people. It's like, OK, I need to find a
[51:55] way to get to this man. And he has a security company,
[51:59] protection class security. So his security guys are huge.
[52:03] And then they they hold each other's hands and then they are
[52:06] guarding the VI. And he brought a keynote from
[52:08] the US so like attention that she everywhere is so there are
[52:12] programs like timid Akaluki was like, hey, how do I get access
[52:17] to this man? So I noticed he was in tax and I
[52:19] was like, OK, I'll just try and break the protocol of the people
[52:22] who had held and the security. So I tried to put my head under
[52:25] and one one of them uses elbow to hit my neck and he's built
[52:30] and I was lanky. Then I was like, hey, the kind
[52:32] of pain I felt. So I screamed on top of my
[52:34] voice. I said, Sir, I came all the way
[52:36] from Ghana to see you. So he turned and when he turned,
[52:40] he looked at me and he told the security people to allow.
[52:45] So I came. So what did you say?
[52:47] I said, Sir, I I've been following you for when I came
[52:49] all the way from Ghana, embarrassed to see you, He said,
[52:52] you don't mean it. I said, Sir, this is my diary,
[52:54] everything I've learned from you, this is it.
[52:56] I started flipping and I'll mention some of the quotes.
[52:59] He took it. He looked at it.
[53:01] I was like, So what do you want from me?
[53:03] I said, Sir, I came to take you to Ghana so that you come and
[53:06] speak at my event. And he was like, what event?
[53:10] I said I organize entrepreneurship of Africa is
[53:12] growing. I want you as a keynote speaker
[53:14] for 2019. So he looked at me and said, sit
[53:18] down here, don't go anywhere. Have you eaten?
[53:20] I said no. So he called somebody and said
[53:22] bring them cake, don't go anywhere, sit here, I'll come
[53:25] and see you. I say yes.
[53:27] So I was seated. After like one hour, 30 minutes,
[53:30] he came. And for me that spoke to his
[53:32] person. So he came.
[53:33] I was like, how old are you? I said I'm 23, So what do you do
[53:37] in Ghana? So I showed him a video of the
[53:38] previous years entrepreneurship of Africa, the highlights video
[53:42] and shouts to my brother Emmanuel.
[53:44] It's been like one of the guys who records my everything if all
[53:46] my archives, archives, archives he has from when we started a
[53:49] business. So Emmanuel had put together.
[53:51] So I showed it to us like wow, how old are you?
[53:55] I said I'm 23. He said you are doing what a 46
[53:58] year old man is doing at 23, I'll come to Ghana to speak for
[54:02] you. So he took my number.
[54:03] He said this is my private number, what's up me now, let me
[54:06] save you now. So he saved it in front of me,
[54:09] my mentee Moses Ghana and he said see, I've saved it.
[54:12] It's like OK, said what's up me now let's take a selfie, let's
[54:15] take a picture. I will come to Ghana because of
[54:17] you. I say yes Sir, thank you.
[54:19] I'm humbled. I was like how you 2 go back.
[54:21] I said Bass, He said don't worry.
[54:23] So I left, I was staying in touch.
[54:26] Then I decided to be more intentional about the
[54:29] relationship. So his birthday die, I sent him
[54:32] a gift from Ghana and he was like, I'm the only mentee of his
[54:36] who has sent a gift outside like for him yet he has people else
[54:40] like I'm humbled. So he called me that same year
[54:44] in December out of Norway. He said he didn't say can you
[54:49] come? He said hello Moses.
[54:50] I said he said be in Lagos tomorrow at six location echo
[54:54] suits and hotel. I said I'm in Kumasi at that
[54:58] time. I should just be just like that
[55:01] sounds like OK. And for me mentorship is like I
[55:05] know that person will test you, I know that person will put you
[55:07] through things. So for me, I'm always up for the
[55:09] challenge. So when he said be I said OK,
[55:12] quickly I had to organize entered bus, came another bus
[55:15] again. So I my friend makes the
[55:18] captains like I said. So he gave me some nice captains
[55:20] when I entered the Cositon Hotel and I didn't have any money.
[55:23] So when I entered the Cositon Hotel, I was seated at the
[55:25] lobby. Then they're like said you care
[55:27] for anything. I'm like I'm waiting for a
[55:29] business partner of mine. The person will come.
[55:31] Do you care for Sir? Do you care for anything?
[55:34] Till he came and he came at six and when he entered at six he's
[55:39] like you are here. I say yes, so OK, follow me.
[55:41] So we entered the elevator. He took me to the very top of
[55:43] Echo Seat and Hotel, said, you know, I invited you to Nigeria.
[55:47] I said no, said I want to talk to you about vision.
[55:50] I said OK. He said when you came at the
[55:54] base of Echo Seat and Hotel, what did you see?
[55:57] And so cars were packed, normal. Everybody's coming in the
[56:01] reception. He's OK.
[56:02] We had a very top rooftop experience.
[56:04] What do you see? And so from afar off, I see
[56:06] skyscrapers. I see a lighted Lagos.
[56:09] This and I was like, do you realize at the base your vision
[56:12] is different from the top? It's like, yes.
[56:14] And he started talking to me. So when we finish everything, I
[56:17] think I started drizzling. He's like, I want you to hold my
[56:19] hand and say a charge to me. I said what?
[56:22] He said die in two years, you go to Dubai, the vision in Dubai
[56:26] will stretch your thinking. And this I was like, yes, Sir,
[56:29] I'll go. And then that was it.
[56:30] And then my relationship with him started evolving the
[56:33] following year indication I said, Sir, I want to save.
[56:37] He said, you know what, I'll add you to the team.
[56:40] So I was in the team that organized incation for 20/20/19
[56:45] in the WhatsApp group. I was on the meetings.
[56:47] I was seeing how he was coordinating it.
[56:49] I've seen how he was pulling the crowd because it's, it's
[56:51] actually an aunt. You have to learn it.
[56:54] I was seeing it, I've seen that, I've seen that.
[56:56] And I was like, oh, OK. And then that was it.
[56:59] So he passed in 2020. Did you go to Dubai?
[57:04] Yeah, I went to Dubai. What did I do to you?
[57:06] How did you go to Dubai? So here I was, came back, went
[57:11] to Junior's where I was leaving then, and I started watching
[57:14] videos of Dubai. I was like, this place, there's
[57:19] a place like this that exist in this world.
[57:21] I started watching, started watching.
[57:23] So the more I was watching, I was like, I realized, OK, the
[57:26] ruler is called Israel and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
[57:29] Maktoum. I was like, what book of this
[57:31] can I find because I'm a books person.
[57:32] So I found his book, my vision. I started reading, I started
[57:35] getting more excited about his, his lens through which he was
[57:40] seeing life executing. So when he said I was like, OK,
[57:44] at that time I thought maybe it would cost you like 100,000 CDs
[57:47] to go to Dubai. So which is why I say that there
[57:50] are theorems of desires. The first is you want a thing.
[57:54] Many people want things, few choose the things they want.
[57:56] So choosing is the second realm, then you move from choosing to
[58:00] commitment. Commitment is the highest in
[58:03] your choosing. You're able to find out all the
[58:05] integrity. So I wanted to go to Dubai in my
[58:07] choosing. I found out the cost.
[58:09] There's a company called travel plan is there still is.
[58:11] They still exist and they had this Suzu package.
[58:14] You can pay small, small, small, small, small.
[58:16] When it's complete there you go. I think I realized that oh to go
[58:19] to Dubai then possess about 7000 CS.
[58:22] It wasn't even 100,000 that I thought of.
[58:24] So OK, this how much I. Earn Were you working at the
[58:27] time? At the time, I still do my
[58:29] entrepreneur thing, digital marketing Kaka like you know,
[58:33] 'cause it was the same digital marketing thing that was feeding
[58:36] the entrepreneurship of Africa events so.
[58:39] As the events were ticketed or was free.
[58:41] So year 120 CS, it was ticketed. Year 200 CS OK.
[58:47] Year three it was free. So from year three it's been
[58:50] free. So now, so when I, I realized,
[58:55] OK, this is how much I need to. So I saved with travel planners
[58:58] literally from that time until it was up and I went with them.
[59:02] We transited in Kenya and then we moved from there to Dubai.
[59:07] I got into their place. I couldn't and he was dead then.
[59:10] So it hits different. I'm like, I wish this man was
[59:12] alive. I'll be.
[59:13] So, you know, to date, I haven't deleted his WhatsApp number.
[59:17] They are days I go and have conversations just with him.
[59:19] It's like, so again, I have another philosophy.
[59:22] I call it the dead board of directors.
[59:25] So I have a certain invincible board of directors in my head.
[59:28] And these are people who no longer exist, but whose lives
[59:31] have informed me so much. So the likes of Benjamin
[59:34] Franklin books I've read, they are literally there and they are
[59:38] invincible. But for me, instructs me,
[59:39] because there are days where you hit the challenge and you're
[59:41] like, oh, recently I went to a certain rough time like, and
[59:44] Nelson Mandela did this. Why are you doing different?
[59:47] When I did it, it worked. It's strange that you say this.
[59:50] I thought I was alone because I always say that the chunk of my
[59:54] friends are dead people. If you come to my living room.
[59:57] I tried to frame some persons that I think are a great
[1:00:02] influence in my life. And I mean, if anybody that has
[1:00:06] listened to me for a long while, they probably know two of them.
[1:00:09] And just sometimes the decisions you take, things you think about
[1:00:13] like. How did this person do?
[1:00:15] You know how this person? And it's very strange because
[1:00:18] most times you realize that your life is kind of playing out the
[1:00:21] same way, you know? Yeah.
[1:00:23] As yes. Go ahead.
[1:00:26] Yeah. So for me as like a hit
[1:00:29] different and there are times his number is still stored.
[1:00:31] Godfather one king. I go there sometimes when I'm
[1:00:33] going to a rock and I just leave a message.
[1:00:35] I'm like, I wish you were still here.
[1:00:36] And I know we'll talk. You do this like.
[1:00:39] Yeah, so I go to Dubai. I'm like that whole Dubai trip.
[1:00:43] I wasn't bothered about clothes or anything.
[1:00:45] Dubai's culture and brand is engineer side that you spend.
[1:00:49] I also determine I'm like, what book can I find about the rule
[1:00:52] of this place? Because my philosophy is if you
[1:00:54] meet a man and you're able to get what is in his head, you can
[1:00:57] produce what is in his pocket. So I'm like the rule of Dubai.
[1:01:00] I found this book, my story, I found other books come to my
[1:01:03] library. I have a whole place just for
[1:01:05] him in the house, just his collections.
[1:01:07] I read, read, read, read, devoid understand his way of thinking,
[1:01:12] how he looks, the realm of excellence.
[1:01:14] And when I read my story, it changed me in a lot of ways
[1:01:18] because I'm like, wait, this guy comes from the royal family, but
[1:01:23] he's been a commoner. He's gone through very because
[1:01:26] it was also the place of exposure that his father brought
[1:01:29] him into when he started travelling to England and all of
[1:01:32] these places and he saw that the West looked a certain way and he
[1:01:35] started asking, so why can't he do that in the desert and just
[1:01:38] one person's will of why can't we bet all of those?
[1:01:43] I always say that why are we here if we can do great things,
[1:01:45] just do their things, you know, so and that transitioned for me
[1:01:50] as like Nah and Dubai seeing, visiting the Burge, like seeing
[1:01:55] all of the things have the place is developing and everything.
[1:01:58] It had what it did to me. And for me, I was like,
[1:02:01] excellence as possible. There's nothing you set your
[1:02:04] mind to that you can't accomplish.
[1:02:06] You just need to put in the effort.
[1:02:08] And that's because I remember when he thought of the Burj
[1:02:12] Khalifa, they said it was impossible.
[1:02:14] And he's like, bring the best architect in the world,
[1:02:16] structural engineers in the world to hack the code for this
[1:02:18] thing. And they brought some guys from
[1:02:20] Germany and they hack. So I'm like, everything you want
[1:02:22] to do is possible, if or nothing at all.
[1:02:24] These guys in the last 50 years have turned their deserts to one
[1:02:27] of the biggest global tourism brands in the world, you know?
[1:02:30] So that was it. And it made me appreciate what
[1:02:33] he spoke about. Vision and everything.
[1:02:35] Yeah. Thank you.
[1:02:37] So now, is that what informed your decision to start building?
[1:02:43] It also played a key role because.
[1:02:47] So after Dubai, you've come back to Ghana.
[1:02:48] What did you do? So after Dubai, I come back to
[1:02:51] Ghana. The books they were my friends,
[1:02:54] I started deferring them left, right, center.
[1:02:57] And one of the things I've always known as you're in your
[1:02:59] genuine of becoming. You may want to do something now
[1:03:03] and it may not look like it's possible.
[1:03:06] It may not look like it's made because the circumstances around
[1:03:09] you does not meet up to it. But it does not mean you should
[1:03:12] joke with your moments of preparation.
[1:03:14] Because even when we didn't have a land, myself and my Co founder
[1:03:17] spend hours watching videos, learning, trying to understand
[1:03:22] this real estate industry and everything.
[1:03:24] So the day our opportunities, like I would say that luck is
[1:03:29] your ability to stay in the game so long enough that luck finds
[1:03:33] you. So you think somebody's lucky,
[1:03:36] but he's probably been in a thing and you probably will not
[1:03:39] see those years of consistency. But the moment now somebody
[1:03:43] shows up and they see, oh, these guys are doing this.
[1:03:45] These guys are, oh, where did they pass?
[1:03:47] They are doing this there, but you've not seen all the many
[1:03:50] dark nights, tears and everything.
[1:03:52] So I come back and I'm like, and already prior to my coming to
[1:03:56] after that meeting with Ubank King, I'd come to our car from
[1:03:58] time to time. And I decided because Ubank King
[1:04:01] had that something to my mind. So I decided when I come to our
[1:04:05] car, I want to leave at a certain place, I want to visit
[1:04:08] certain spaces and my friend would drive me to Despair's
[1:04:10] house and I watched the Spice building every time in Eastland.
[1:04:13] I'm like, did a man build this? That was when I said to myself
[1:04:16] that when we relocate our business, I will come to a car.
[1:04:19] I will live in a car. I will rent in East Ligon, I
[1:04:22] will live at East Ligon. I'll leave E Ligon a landlord to
[1:04:26] wherever I want to go to, but I have to be a landlord in this
[1:04:28] place. So that thing it had is it was
[1:04:31] like he had triggered some holy anger that was already holy
[1:04:34] anger that was already like in there.
[1:04:37] And then I decided we're going to do this.
[1:04:39] And then coming back, reading the books, I'm like, so now I'm
[1:04:41] driving to, I'm like, what can we do?
[1:04:44] So if you look at the Afrimat Atlantic logo, it's like a high
[1:04:47] rise building. So we decided, you know what,
[1:04:49] we'll be distinct with real estate in this country.
[1:04:53] We may start off here. We'll do a few townhouses, but
[1:04:55] notably we want to do iconic high rise buildings.
[1:04:59] Thankfully we are all young, so we're starting early.
[1:05:01] Who knows, by the time we hit the 40s fifties, we'll be doing
[1:05:05] something beautiful like in this space.
[1:05:07] And that's, that's pretty much it.
[1:05:09] So yeah, from time to time. And that's what travel does.
[1:05:11] It brings you into a place of exposure and exposure is very
[1:05:14] important because when you get exposed, you're like, OK, this
[1:05:18] is how this is done. This is how you do this.
[1:05:21] This is how you do that. This is how you do this.
[1:05:23] This is how you do that. And so, yeah, pretty much that's
[1:05:26] that's been it. OK, so I'm streamlining the
[1:05:28] timelines of your life, right? So you're back from Dubai,
[1:05:31] you're still doing your digital marketing agency and then doing
[1:05:34] entrepreneurship on the side. You come to acquire from time to
[1:05:37] time. So the plan was to bring the
[1:05:38] business to acquire and then now you start thinking about real
[1:05:42] estate. But then at what point did you
[1:05:43] start doing the lounge? Within that same period.
[1:05:46] That same period we tried to do a lounge.
[1:05:48] So the lounge was so in 2019 after we had hosted wunking,
[1:05:54] come back and went back to Nigeria at the beginning of
[1:05:58] 20/20/14 and then stayed because there was something we're
[1:06:01] supposed to do and it didn't happen.
[1:06:03] But around that same time lockdown happened so we couldn't
[1:06:05] fly out. So stayed to came back.
[1:06:08] So it was when I came back, I was like, OK, I think it's time
[1:06:11] to push on this real estate thing.
[1:06:13] And that's where Emerald Holdings, which is no longer
[1:06:15] like an existing business, but we decided, okay, Emerald
[1:06:18] Holdings will come in and then do the lounge.
[1:06:21] The lounge one of my friends I knew was like, oh, there's this
[1:06:25] land in the voter region is right behind the university.
[1:06:29] It will be good for you to do something there.
[1:06:32] The landowner wants it wants to rent it out for 10 years and you
[1:06:36] can do like a lounge. And when you do a lounge, the
[1:06:39] students can come and patronize. So that's like okay how much
[1:06:43] will it cost to because like oh it won't really cost much and
[1:06:45] everything. And bro I just went in met the
[1:06:49] landowner. He gave me the quotes for the
[1:06:52] rental of the land for a year. I paid 2 years.
[1:06:54] We decided to start a construction.
[1:06:56] Then I realized that yo you didn't make me a seed this thing
[1:07:00] enough like the depth of sacrifices needed to make this
[1:07:04] thing a real it. I literally didn't count my
[1:07:06] cost. So that's why I know that it
[1:07:08] failed, because if you want to do anything, you need to count
[1:07:12] your cost. And if you're a developer, of
[1:07:14] course you know that when the architects are done and
[1:07:16] everything, you need to flesh out your bill of quantities.
[1:07:18] So that makes you have a fair idea of what you're looking at.
[1:07:21] I didn't know all of these things, you know, and it really
[1:07:24] cost me because at the end of the day, you touch something and
[1:07:28] it didn't play out the way probably we had to, you know,
[1:07:31] see it. But it was a learning curve.
[1:07:33] I learnt the things that I needed to learn.
[1:07:36] Yeah. And then from there.
[1:07:39] Last group came into the picture.
[1:07:41] Yeah, and. Then aphrymath is and then yeah,
[1:07:44] OK. So by the time by the time
[1:07:46] Aphrymath is born, it's been years of trying, it's been years
[1:07:51] of learning, it's been years of becoming, it's been years of
[1:07:55] understanding Ghana's business landscape.
[1:07:57] It's been years of knowing what to do, knowing what to not to
[1:08:00] do. Because by the time Aphrymath
[1:08:02] was about to be birthed, I had already fleshed out who becomes
[1:08:07] my business partner. What are the metrics?
[1:08:09] What are the indices I need to look out for because of the
[1:08:11] field experiences, all of those things, it came into play.
[1:08:15] And then a free math is born and then I picks.
[1:08:17] But the good thing is that when we dissolved everything, we
[1:08:19] still left entrepreneurship of Africa there.
[1:08:22] Because at the very core of my being is to make or help people
[1:08:27] become better versions of themselves.
[1:08:28] And I feel like the only way you get to build and establish
[1:08:31] people is through the right knowledge.
[1:08:33] And so that platform serves that.
[1:08:35] And so we didn't dissolve that. That was still in operation.
[1:08:38] We're doing virtual stuff in 2024.
[1:08:42] I took it, I decided that team will be Trail Blazers United
[1:08:45] shipping tomorrow's Africa today.
[1:08:47] So decided I did Nigeria, I did Kenya, I decided to take outside
[1:08:51] of Ghana. And then I knew that in 2025
[1:08:53] would do the meeting like festival which we did at the UPS
[1:08:57] auditorium earlier this year. And then on to what we have
[1:09:01] rolled out. So we didn't collapse
[1:09:02] entrepreneurship have Africa, we kept it in motion and we also
[1:09:08] burst Afrimat Atlantic. And from there we would keep
[1:09:10] going because now it's like you've you've tried, feel,
[1:09:13] tried, feel, tried, feel tried. It's like a baby learning to
[1:09:16] walk. You crawl, you crawl, you fall,
[1:09:18] you fall, and then you eventually stand.
[1:09:19] Up OK, so which which we have the projects.
[1:09:22] I know at Afrimats you've done you're doing luxury real estate,
[1:09:25] you're going to come to that. I have my concerns with that.
[1:09:28] I hope you can explore why people do luxury real estate in
[1:09:32] apart like in this in the city. Why are people exploring the
[1:09:36] affordable housing fund? I mean, affordable is realistic
[1:09:39] by mean mass demand because there's a huge deficit in the
[1:09:42] market. Why it's like developers looking
[1:09:45] in that direction. You know, hopefully you you can
[1:09:48] share that. We have this conversation.
[1:09:52] Yeah. So they're doing solar.
[1:09:54] Solar. Residence.
[1:09:55] Solar residence in Platinum Enclave where?
[1:09:58] East Ligon Hills, OK Yeah. E Ligon Hills solar residence is
[1:10:05] in the US you count your ground flat part of the floor.
[1:10:07] So the US folks who say 6 floors by in Ghana ground plus 5 ground
[1:10:13] plus 525 unit apartment, rooftop swimming pool, rooftop gym,
[1:10:19] penthouse units, rooftop restaurant.
[1:10:21] Yeah nice. And then Platinum enclave gated
[1:10:26] community. So now I'm thinking the young
[1:10:27] man who started who was just running a digital marketing
[1:10:31] agency on our side speak speaking events, that's a real
[1:10:35] estate business. I mean, you've, you tried to do
[1:10:36] real estate, you tried you mean to the extent I'm sure the
[1:10:40] reason why the voter regime president was being capital
[1:10:43] constraints and stuff like that. And now you're doing a luxury
[1:10:46] real estate 2 projects concurrently.
[1:10:48] Not concurrently. The the second one came in along
[1:10:51] the line. OK, OK.
[1:10:53] But is the first one done? Almost, almost.
[1:10:55] We are there, we are there. We should.
[1:10:57] Our delivery timeline is next year, so.
[1:10:59] OK, that's interesting one I want to understand.
[1:11:03] We decided to do a free maths. I know you told the story of how
[1:11:06] a friend suggested a land, you went there to meet a landlord
[1:11:09] and then you showed the landlord the designs and the drawings.
[1:11:13] Can you take it off from there? Because I'm wondering, OK, where
[1:11:15] did you get that? How did the resources come to
[1:11:17] you? OK.
[1:11:18] So one of the things I always say is that when your time has
[1:11:22] not come, build capacity, building capacity is in
[1:11:29] different forms. So remember I said that in
[1:11:30] business, there's the cost of what you do to get clients.
[1:11:34] The cost of what you do to get clients is not always money and
[1:11:37] marketing, you know. So in the period where I've been
[1:11:42] doing all of this, one thing has been evidenced throughout the
[1:11:45] the journey and the period is that I've been living for
[1:11:47] people, I've been there for people, supporting people,
[1:11:53] encouraging them, pushing them to become better versions of
[1:11:56] themselves and all of that. So at that point in time I just
[1:12:01] called a friend one faithful Sunday, myself and my Co
[1:12:04] founder. Of course we had gone in circles
[1:12:05] and this was like 2024 were like this is the year.
[1:12:08] This is the year and we called a friend of ours that we knew in
[1:12:12] the industry and we're like, yo bro, we need the land.
[1:12:17] And he's like, hey, I'm like, hey, we need land.
[1:12:19] We need land ASAP. And he's like, oh, I know this
[1:12:23] person, that person, this person, I'll take you to go and
[1:12:25] meet the person. I'm like, are you for?
[1:12:27] It's like yes. Like OK.
[1:12:28] When I was like, oh, he just spoke to the nephew of the
[1:12:31] person. The person said even if we can't
[1:12:32] come, we can't come to the. I said really?
[1:12:34] So dressed good. Don't dress like a suspect or
[1:12:37] you're going to look for a prospect for your business look
[1:12:39] good. So just want something good
[1:12:42] because my friend makes clothes so I support their business by
[1:12:45] getting close. So dressed my Co founder who is
[1:12:48] my friend also dressed and then went straight.
[1:12:50] You're going to meet a prominent person.
[1:12:52] So the Bible says that your gift opens doors for you.
[1:12:56] When you look at that, that particular Bible verse in other
[1:13:01] versions, it says that your presence will open great doors
[1:13:05] in front of prominent people. That's what he says.
[1:13:09] So there's a philosophy I have. I don't meet anybody empty
[1:13:12] handed. It's just been me.
[1:13:14] Yeah. So especially people who are
[1:13:17] like, we are there. So we meet this person.
[1:13:20] And when we meet this person, mind you, we wanted to do that
[1:13:23] thing. So we already had our designs.
[1:13:26] So we had made an architect design for us.
[1:13:29] And it was just faith. Faith is a substance of things.
[1:13:32] Hope for the evidence of things not seen.
[1:13:34] So if you have faith, where's your substance?
[1:13:36] So we had fit our first point of substance was our 3DS.
[1:13:40] So that now The thing is, when you meet anybody in your land,
[1:13:43] are you now going to think of what you want to do on the land?
[1:13:45] So our thinking was we've designed when we get the land,
[1:13:48] we fits the design to it. So when we met the person, the
[1:13:51] person is like, what do you want to do on the land?
[1:13:54] And I showed him on my laptop. I said this is the project and
[1:14:00] he was like, well, literally the only people who have come in
[1:14:03] quest of his land who know what want to do already and he likes
[1:14:06] what he's seen. So he'll go into business with
[1:14:09] us with that was a joke. Fast forward, back, back, pass,
[1:14:14] sign contracts, do this, do that, do that and bro, now how
[1:14:18] do we start? So I'm like, OK, now we've
[1:14:22] signed the contract. The man's people are like when
[1:14:25] are you people starting? Then I was like OK, we have
[1:14:30] cars, nobody believes in your dream and to start showing the
[1:14:34] results. So I was like let me tell my
[1:14:37] car, my Co founder let me sell. Then I had a very good friend,
[1:14:41] mentee of mine whom had known you know for so many years and
[1:14:47] he was in Canada. He had come back.
[1:14:50] So when he came back we were that day, I think he drove me
[1:14:54] because I sold my car. My Co founder sold and he drove
[1:14:58] me to the site to meet a potential client cause one of my
[1:15:03] friends, Charlie, I would say that volume increase the effort,
[1:15:08] increase the effort, which is why I speak to young people.
[1:15:10] Be shameless about your hassle, be shameless about it, talk to
[1:15:16] whoever. So in that process I was I've
[1:15:19] spoken to one of my friend and he was like, oh, there's this
[1:15:21] friend of his. He knows who is interested.
[1:15:23] The person wants to meet me on this.
[1:15:24] I brew was a Bush, So when the guy came there, I did all the
[1:15:28] things I knew to talk to the guy.
[1:15:30] The guy's like, the risk is too much.
[1:15:32] Why should he commit? Why should he even do a
[1:15:34] reservation? This place is a Bush.
[1:15:36] What is the guarantee that I'll finish?
[1:15:38] He doesn't even think I can do it.
[1:15:40] Playing playing. I was like, hey Lord, we better
[1:15:43] be ready. And I remember when we roofed,
[1:15:46] he watched my city. I was like, do you still have
[1:15:48] units available? And because he said he sat in
[1:15:54] blank, he's like when he looks at me.
[1:15:57] So this guy I was with was like, what is it?
[1:16:00] He discussed? I was like, oh, a project down
[1:16:02] to this. Like I've not discussed it with
[1:16:04] me. How much is it?
[1:16:05] It's like, oh, a studio is this amount.
[1:16:07] And he's like, oh, I have the reservation and I have the 20%.
[1:16:13] Let me add that and commit as buyer added to the car money and
[1:16:17] start a project. I was like, you're kidding.
[1:16:19] It was a Friday bro, like joke, like joke Mandy, he went to wire
[1:16:22] the money. It's like into our company's
[1:16:25] accounts. Like what?
[1:16:27] Then I knew that God is in this. So that's together with whatever
[1:16:31] thing we have been able to liquidate, went to the project
[1:16:33] and we started and my Co founder and I, we are some crazy fit
[1:16:37] people there. So we started and we're like
[1:16:41] what matters is we have started and this is our principle.
[1:16:44] If God is the third partners in this business, there's no
[1:16:47] scarcity in heaven's economy. So God, if you really called us
[1:16:52] to this thing, bring help, bring the provision and we're like we
[1:16:55] look to God. So we started.
[1:16:57] What year was? This, this was last year, this
[1:17:02] was last year. So we started, we, we started
[1:17:06] marketing again. Over the years, I've been
[1:17:08] building my brand, my platform, everything.
[1:17:11] So I started putting out initially I was hesitant because
[1:17:16] people were like, this lounge didn't go well and everything.
[1:17:19] And interestingly, I had one, one guy called me, I was like,
[1:17:22] yo, this person says that you cry a lounge, you open it up and
[1:17:26] did crowdfunding. You didn't deliver.
[1:17:28] You want to take people's mind, you want to steal people's.
[1:17:30] I'm like, it's, it's fine. So we started and then I, I
[1:17:34] confidently put, I started marketing it.
[1:17:37] Then I was speaking to another friend and I'm like, I need
[1:17:39] somebody to help me push this thing to like the international
[1:17:44] audience and all. I was like, oh, he knows this
[1:17:46] person and he'll talk to the person if the person wants to.
[1:17:50] So he spoke to the person. The person reached out.
[1:17:52] I gave me the number. I reached out to the person.
[1:17:54] The person started talking. That's like my international
[1:17:57] agent started talking, talking, talking, talking and she's like,
[1:18:00] OK, she needed to do her due diligence and like, OK, so we
[1:18:03] give her ample time. She was doing her due diligence
[1:18:05] and this is how God works. We're marketing one day and then
[1:18:08] I received a phone call from nowhere.
[1:18:10] It's like, is this solar residence?
[1:18:12] I was like, yes, like, oh, we've seen your ad.
[1:18:14] My husband and I are coming to their site.
[1:18:16] I said OK. Then that day, that day settled
[1:18:21] something in me that like God is in this thing because the people
[1:18:26] came and when we were coming, they had their reservation on
[1:18:29] them cash and we so needed money.
[1:18:32] At that point, I was like, how's this thing working?
[1:18:35] They came got in the international agents logged in
[1:18:39] and we've been pushing leveraging other finance models.
[1:18:42] Of course, because I've mentors have people in the game
[1:18:45] leveraging other finance models. And for us, we're like, we'll be
[1:18:48] disciplined, be diligent with this work.
[1:18:52] The most important thing in any real estate development is a
[1:18:55] completed project. It's not even in the site
[1:18:57] updates deliver the project. So I like month in, month out,
[1:19:02] we're building and why are things that help this?
[1:19:04] I gave my personal brand. So we have clients coming in and
[1:19:07] they want to research their company and the Google, the CU,
[1:19:09] they Google my name and then results are coming out.
[1:19:11] They are seeing this, they are seeing that and it's it's
[1:19:14] settling to them that this guy's not going to run away with my
[1:19:17] money and stuff like that. And then we started pushing, we
[1:19:21] started building calculated risk here and there along the line.
[1:19:24] We branched straight into Platinum and Cliff a both step
[1:19:27] of it because we, we knew that we're, we're in a certain
[1:19:31] capacity for it. And it's just been on the go.
[1:19:34] We've just been pushing, pushing, pushing, pushing.
[1:19:38] Wow. Oh my God, I have no idea what
[1:19:44] the last 10 minutes have done to my mind.
[1:19:49] Interesting. Anyway, let me digress a little.
[1:19:54] I see you have it. You have it an ink.
[1:19:58] I'm just curious about that. Thank you.
[1:19:59] What does that mean? You seem like an intentional
[1:20:01] person, so I'm not curious. You know what's what does?
[1:20:03] That have. Oh.
[1:20:05] The signature of God. Of God.
[1:20:08] OK, so you're married. You said you've been married for
[1:20:11] three years, so got married at 26.
[1:20:15] Really. I already said.
[1:20:19] What what will make you because at the time I'm sure I'm not
[1:20:21] sure you had figured out what the regular balance.
[1:20:26] I'm not ready. I don't think I'm financially
[1:20:27] stable or you know. Financially stable.
[1:20:32] OK. I mean, that's like the typical
[1:20:34] panel between 6 year old man. I was here, I didn't think I
[1:20:36] figured myself out. I don't know what I'm going to
[1:20:38] do, but what moved the needle for you to get married at 26?
[1:20:41] And what has marriage done for you?
[1:20:44] Interesting question in the part of my life I'm hiding Bill is
[1:20:52] bringing it up. Forgive me 26262626 I'd always
[1:20:58] said that I wanted to marry pretty early one or 2002 do
[1:21:06] 10,000 And so again, there's nothing of you need money and
[1:21:13] you know, all of yes, it's true. But then again, I think it's
[1:21:17] it's a decision and as who you are walking the path with, you
[1:21:23] know, I put it this way. It's like Peter is called to
[1:21:32] come out from the boot to walk on water and he steps out of the
[1:21:37] boot in confidence to walk on water.
[1:21:40] Interestingly, all the other disciples with him in the boot
[1:21:43] had an equal opportunity to make history like Peter, but he
[1:21:47] stayed in the boot because for some other people the boots
[1:21:52] represents fear, the boots represents not ready and
[1:21:56] certainty, a whole lot of things.
[1:21:57] But Peter stepped out in faith, walked on water and he became a
[1:22:03] history maker. Till date, till my children,
[1:22:05] come to whoever comes who know about Peter, who walked on water
[1:22:09] even though he failed. You get it.
[1:22:10] So for me, sometimes walking underwater is not about you.
[1:22:15] Walking on water is about who is working with you.
[1:22:19] It's that obedience with. So for Peter, I was Jesus.
[1:22:21] He knew he won't sing because Jesus was there and he knew that
[1:22:25] should he think Jesus will also be there?
[1:22:27] So for me, it's been, it's more about who that person is.
[1:22:31] And this person has been like my friend, you know, some of the
[1:22:36] darkest moments and challenges I've, I've endured or I've seen,
[1:22:42] she's been there to literally like pull me out of it, you
[1:22:44] know, and she's literally seen to them because the MBA, I'm
[1:22:49] like, there's somebody who's seen the process.
[1:22:51] She knows the insurance and outs of, she sees the struggles, she
[1:22:55] sees the tears and everything. So, yeah, 26, we're like, we'll
[1:22:59] do it and we did it. You know, for me, it's not like
[1:23:04] somebody moved me. I had a voice or something.
[1:23:06] That's just like a decision, you know?
[1:23:09] And because again, marriage, marriages, it's a whole work on
[1:23:13] its own. It's work and it's work.
[1:23:15] It is work and it is work. So you need to work it to make a
[1:23:18] work and you know like that. And what's marriage done?
[1:23:21] For me, I think that it's been, it's been a blessing 'cause
[1:23:26] there are certain rooms I have walked into and just mere, the
[1:23:30] mere fact that you're married, it gives a certain perception to
[1:23:33] people. You walk into rooms and for
[1:23:36] their marriages responsibility. So you may be young, but they
[1:23:39] understand that you've come into a certain place of
[1:23:42] responsibility. Of course, you would pray for
[1:23:46] yourself, but to have somebody who would pray with you, pray
[1:23:50] for you, you know, to have somebody where you know that no
[1:23:54] matter how chaotic the word gets, you can come to somebody
[1:23:58] and speak to the person and the person is there, the person
[1:24:01] isn't leaving, you know. So for me, it's, it's been a
[1:24:04] huge blessing. And, you know, as much as
[1:24:08] possible, I, I always trust God to keep the union, you know, so
[1:24:13] that we can save the purposes of God for our generation and the
[1:24:18] purposes as to why God, you know, brought us together.
[1:24:21] Yeah. Interesting.
[1:24:22] It's good. So I'm going to ask a question
[1:24:25] that sort of feedings if it's that sort of feeds into the what
[1:24:29] the future looks like for Afrimat also, I understand that.
[1:24:35] I mean, I mean, to the real estate to a certain degree,
[1:24:37] right And to understand the economic sense and economic
[1:24:42] opportunities, the economic upper hand doing high end real
[1:24:46] estate is in the city, right, especially in acquire and how
[1:24:51] grueling it is to pay attention to the mass market, you know,
[1:24:55] affordable housing. It almost seems because if last
[1:24:59] year some friends and I came together to try and do a
[1:25:01] project, similar project as if for me.
[1:25:05] I'm just asking you this question that do you think in
[1:25:09] the future, I mean, now you're making doing these high rises,
[1:25:13] luxury high rises to sort of get some grounding, get an economic
[1:25:17] footing. Do you think you're going to
[1:25:19] venture into what's the middle class and lower class is looking
[1:25:24] for in this? Because there's a huge housing
[1:25:26] deficit in this. Country, right, it's true there
[1:25:30] and. Most of the people are not
[1:25:31] looking for studio apartment. Yeah, they're looking for the
[1:25:34] typical Ghanaian. Exactly so does the future
[1:25:38] envelope that for Africans. I believe so.
[1:25:43] And again, like I said, you, you want to look at the markets
[1:25:47] because when you pick a business, again, the economic
[1:25:51] arbitrage at the end of the day is the is what is the difference
[1:25:56] between you getting the client and what the client gives you,
[1:25:59] right. So no businessman wants to go
[1:26:01] into business for loss, but you want to go in definitely for
[1:26:05] profits. So as, as we skill and as we
[1:26:09] grow, definitely the housing deficit is supposed to also
[1:26:12] cater for, you know, the masses and the middle class as well.
[1:26:16] And I'm trusting God that as we grow and as the years come by,
[1:26:21] there will be certain infrastructures and things in
[1:26:24] place that like, it's like you, you're in the US and you drive
[1:26:29] us far away from the main cities, thick woods, But there
[1:26:35] are still communities in there where people live.
[1:26:37] The roads are tired. People don't mind.
[1:26:39] I, I said something to one of my friends.
[1:26:41] I said that people, I would tell a developer this place is a Bush
[1:26:46] in Ghana, but when they go to US and they live far away from the
[1:26:50] city, they don't complain. Why?
[1:26:52] And interestingly, the bushes there probably will be more than
[1:26:55] the ones here. Maybe because over there the
[1:26:57] roads are good, the infrastructure to help, the
[1:27:01] developments are there, which is why I'm excited about what the
[1:27:04] president spoke about. Absolutely, you know, because
[1:27:08] when now we confidently know that roads to maybe do the way
[1:27:14] and all of these places are well done.
[1:27:16] Because again, remember that if you're moving tracks, you don't
[1:27:19] want a situation where you've moved a whole container of
[1:27:22] things and it goes to get stuck. So all of these things come to
[1:27:27] play and the prayer is that we become so economically stable
[1:27:31] and buoyant such that a developer can choose to actually
[1:27:34] fix the roads that lead to their development and develop the
[1:27:38] place, you know, So these are these are things that, and I'm
[1:27:42] sure that as, as the ES progresses, we'll definitely,
[1:27:45] you know, do that because you want to save.
[1:27:48] And if you're serving a market, do yes, you may want to create a
[1:27:52] niche for yourself. You may also want to save the
[1:27:54] market to, you know, so at the end of the day, you'd weigh the
[1:27:58] economic arbitrage when that time comes.
[1:28:00] And if it's a goal, why not? So sounds good books.
[1:28:05] My first proper interaction with you was on books.
[1:28:08] And Chrome's book you said you had on the floor.
[1:28:12] Yeah. I like Chrome a lot.
[1:28:15] Great man. Green Man by all standards.
[1:28:18] He's framed in my living room. And so I know you're an author
[1:28:21] yourself. Yes.
[1:28:23] I'm actually not surprised. You have three books.
[1:28:25] Yes. Read so much.
[1:28:25] It's only fair that you get to write in the end.
[1:28:28] You want to walk me through the three books or why you decide to
[1:28:31] write them? Three books.
[1:28:32] So my first book is The Entrepreneur's Jenny, an ideal
[1:28:35] startup guide. I wrote that in 2018, so failed
[1:28:39] experiences from the past years just documented that in 2018.
[1:28:43] Then 2021 I wrote Understanding Systems, Thinking, The Modern
[1:28:49] Art of Building Learning Organizations, because I
[1:28:51] realized that when it comes to businesses, businesses don't
[1:28:55] fail, their systems do. And there's a way to create
[1:28:59] system. That's why it's called learning
[1:29:00] out of building learning organization, the modern out of
[1:29:02] building learning organization. So in that book, I touch on
[1:29:06] personal mastery, I touch on team learning, I touch on shared
[1:29:08] vision. The cleaner NASA is cleaning
[1:29:10] NASA, but I still saying that I'm here to take people to the
[1:29:12] moon because they understand that in principle they are
[1:29:16] cleaning of the space is contributing to the overall
[1:29:19] vision of taking people to the moon.
[1:29:21] You know, so team learning, personal mastery, I I talk about
[1:29:25] some of those models in there. I speak about my 10 rules for
[1:29:29] effective leadership in there as well.
[1:29:33] So that was in 2021 and 2023. I launched the seven universal
[1:29:40] currency for leveraging anything in this all because I believe
[1:29:43] that money is good, money is powerful, money does a lot of
[1:29:46] things, but there are other things that will open doors for
[1:29:49] you if you understand how they work and how to leverage and how
[1:29:53] to use them. Yeah.
[1:29:54] So for me, my journey, like I've literally enjoyed blessings that
[1:29:59] money didn't bring. It's just the arrow eyes of
[1:30:02] other currencies. You know, like this work we do,
[1:30:06] it will interest you, the number of lives you are touching by
[1:30:09] means of the sport, the destinies you're transforming.
[1:30:12] And they may not know you by you, you, you may show up at an
[1:30:16] airport somewhere, somewhere like, oh, Bill, I watched that
[1:30:19] personal podcast. I did this, I did that.
[1:30:21] And for me that every time like people move to me, that's like
[1:30:24] so humbling. It's like, oh, I was so I
[1:30:27] remember I spoke at at a conference in Kenya last year
[1:30:30] and the guy said to me after I think I posted it on my social
[1:30:33] media, he was at me and said, I hope I'm speaking with MB this
[1:30:37] morning. I wanted to commit suicide and
[1:30:40] took a picture of the poison and said, this is it.
[1:30:43] My friend kept telling me I should come, I should come, I
[1:30:46] should come, I should come. And so I followed him.
[1:30:49] And your story gave me hope. That testimony brought me, I
[1:30:53] call it testimony, brought me to tears.
[1:30:54] I was like, what? So I said to.
[1:30:57] And you know the interesting thing that day the organizers of
[1:31:00] the program dragged the meeting so much that and it was a
[1:31:04] meeting that I was literally funding.
[1:31:06] They dragged the meeting because they were trying to use it to do
[1:31:09] a political thing. And I almost said to myself I
[1:31:12] wanted to leave. So one of my guys houses was
[1:31:15] like, don't go God probably brought here for one person and
[1:31:20] they dragged and dragged and I was so upset because we got it
[1:31:23] like 2000 people in the room. And by the time I was about to
[1:31:26] speak, it was just about 800 people.
[1:31:29] But there's a there's there's a base understanding.
[1:31:31] I have never disregard an audience.
[1:31:34] Yeah, even if it's one person speak like a speaking to
[1:31:36] 1,000,000 people. So I I stepped out of the
[1:31:39] conference room that they sat in my car just re engineered my
[1:31:44] heart again. And I'm like, you need to speak
[1:31:46] to yourself. Why are you here?
[1:31:47] If it's that one person, go and do it.
[1:31:48] So when I got that, it was such AI was like what suicide and the
[1:31:52] person added the pictures and everything.
[1:31:54] I was like, I just do it. I, I want you to please be a
[1:31:58] voice that will guide my path from time to time.
[1:32:00] And today he's doing amazingly well.
[1:32:01] He started like his own thing in Kenya and all of that.
[1:32:04] And so this work that we do, by extension, you never know what,
[1:32:08] what, what you're touching. And that's where the seven
[1:32:11] universal currency comes in, leveraging other currencies to
[1:32:15] win. And who knows, the next one
[1:32:16] probably on the way. So.
[1:32:18] Nice when when you speak, the following is going through your
[1:32:23] socials, your websites, some of your speaking engagements.
[1:32:27] When I say the first night I told you when I started in your
[1:32:28] church, you know, like you speak like a preacher man and clearly
[1:32:33] you have a tattoo of God on your body.
[1:32:36] You coach scriptures while you're talking really exciting.
[1:32:41] Clearly there's a certain deep regard for God, deep regard for
[1:32:44] the divine right. And I think sometimes I tend to
[1:32:48] ask almost everybody here because there's a setting, a
[1:32:51] couple of correlations I'm picking up with people who are
[1:32:53] building things and spirituality and even certain variables that
[1:32:58] are playing their upbringing right.
[1:33:01] So on spirituality, what is good for you?
[1:33:06] I see what I see what not out of disrespect.
[1:33:09] It's more out of very deep regard for the divine knowing,
[1:33:14] not knowing what God, Jonathan, I can't say.
[1:33:16] I can't say. I can't say who is God to you or
[1:33:21] all I can say is what? Because Jonathan.
[1:33:24] Who is God? Who is God?
[1:33:26] Who is God to you? Let's.
[1:33:27] Just say who is God to you? If I was doing the question back
[1:33:29] at you and I said what is God to you?
[1:33:30] What would we answer you? God is God, yeah, but who is God
[1:33:40] to you? There's an intelligence that is
[1:33:43] greater than us that cease to everything and whether you are
[1:33:51] cognizance of it or not, it is there.
[1:33:54] So who is God? His word to start off in the
[1:33:56] beginning was the word. The word was with God.
[1:33:59] I'm like the Bible is such a brilliant business manner for
[1:34:03] you to go to and study. So for me, you get born again,
[1:34:12] you get to fellowship with the Spirit of God, you get to
[1:34:15] understand, like I said, that there's an intelligence that's
[1:34:18] greater than you. And whether you're conscious of
[1:34:21] it or not, He is there or he is there and he rules this word
[1:34:27] whether you're conscious of it or not.
[1:34:28] So like you said, God is God. But for me, I transitioned it
[1:34:32] back straight to His word. And while we look not at the
[1:34:38] things which are seen, the things which are seen are
[1:34:42] temporal. The things which are not seen
[1:34:44] are eternal. So in principle, there's an
[1:34:47] eternal world that controls this particular earth plane.
[1:34:52] You get me. And so for me, that's get born
[1:34:56] again. Get to fellowship with God.
[1:34:58] The more you are studying His Word, it gives you a better
[1:35:02] understanding of who and what He is.
[1:35:05] So if he says that he is El Shaddai, the God that provides,
[1:35:11] and so you should bank on him when it comes to your provision.
[1:35:14] Yet in his same word, he's brought in an asset that says
[1:35:17] that the hand does not eat, that does not work, must not eat,
[1:35:21] which means that if I'm working, then I should be eating.
[1:35:27] It corresponds to his identity of he being a God who provides,
[1:35:33] which you get me. So the more you are feeding on
[1:35:35] his word and the more it's coming alive to you, it's making
[1:35:38] you understand that, oh, there's this eternal being who owns my
[1:35:45] very existence. And so, and at a snap, he could
[1:35:47] call you. At a snap he could understand.
[1:35:49] And again, one of the things that I've realized is that if
[1:35:54] you can explain every aspect of your success, God is not in it.
[1:36:00] Honestly, sometimes things happen to me.
[1:36:04] I'm like, how did we get here? I'm like, how yes, we know that
[1:36:11] we're putting in the efforts. We know that we're doing this.
[1:36:14] We know that days when people meet, you're like, oh, I had
[1:36:19] your name here. And like, how does your name
[1:36:23] show up in this room? And remember that the heart of a
[1:36:28] king is in the hand of God. So God is the one who movement
[1:36:31] to do these things. So you look at a man from where
[1:36:37] I've come from, I'm not saying I'm the best.
[1:36:40] I don't even think I'm the most intelligent person.
[1:36:42] I've met much more intelligent people.
[1:36:45] But you can acknowledge that there is the grace of God at
[1:36:49] work in your life that causes things to respond to you.
[1:36:53] So in the beginning, God, in the beginning God.
[1:36:56] The people who acknowledged God, they see his evidence provision,
[1:37:01] they see his rule in their life, you know, and life is very
[1:37:06] spiritual. You're either connected to the
[1:37:10] place of light or the place of darkness.
[1:37:13] It depends. Whichever 1 you know.
[1:37:15] So yeah, we choose. I choose to be on the God side.
[1:37:19] Yeah. And then it works excellent.
[1:37:22] Moses, what do you want to be remembered for?
[1:37:25] What do you want your children to tell their children about
[1:37:30] you? If they ever tell my story, let
[1:37:33] him say I lived a life that bless God at its peak and
[1:37:37] touched humanity at its core. If it bless God at its peak, it
[1:37:41] must not be in the marketplace because the word ministry, it
[1:37:44] must not be in the church necessarily.
[1:37:47] The word ministry is service. And Jesus gave the biggest
[1:37:52] business advice ever. That he who wants to be great
[1:37:56] amongst you must save is the biggest business advice ever
[1:38:01] because the guy who has an idea that is serving the masses who
[1:38:06] make money from the masses. So think service with your
[1:38:11] business and how it blesses humanity.
[1:38:13] God, by extension, will cause profitability to come to.
[1:38:16] So me, I'm always like to make a million, bless a million to make
[1:38:20] a million, 7 million at. Find something you're good at,
[1:38:24] be profitable with its skill. It's to meet the lives and the
[1:38:27] demands of people and God brings his blessing towards you.
[1:38:30] And Jesus gave that business principle and he said the guy
[1:38:33] who wants to be great amongst you must learn to serve, you
[1:38:37] know. So it just shows us that service
[1:38:39] is one of the key factors to greatness.
[1:38:42] Yeah. So my kids, the world, if they
[1:38:48] ever tell my story, let him see I lived a life that bless God at
[1:38:52] its peak by extension of whatever I do and touch humanity
[1:38:56] that is called still by extension of whatever thing I
[1:38:58] do. I want to enter your mind a
[1:39:01] little. I'm sorry because you're an
[1:39:07] intentional man. You probably.
[1:39:09] I heard you talk on the Connected Minds podcast about
[1:39:13] how you know things are built twice, first in your mind and
[1:39:17] then in reality. And So what are the things that
[1:39:21] play out in your life? You've already imagined them and
[1:39:24] you're just leaving them now. And so in light of that 70 year
[1:39:31] old Moses B Arthur, right, how does that look like?
[1:39:37] The game of life is played on the field of the mind.
[1:39:42] So for me, there's something I do.
[1:39:45] And I like the way you asked this question because sometimes
[1:39:48] when I'm going to ask myself when I want to take a decision,
[1:39:51] sometimes I'm able to ask myself, oh, 40 year Moses be
[1:39:53] happy about this. Sometimes I ask myself, oh, 50
[1:39:57] year old Moses, be happy about this.
[1:39:59] And it really informs how I move.
[1:40:05] And I'm like, learn to think like God.
[1:40:09] God knows the end from the beginning.
[1:40:13] It's such a superior way of thinking to know the end from
[1:40:16] the beginning because when you're able to know the end from
[1:40:18] the beginning, it informs how you move.
[1:40:21] So learn to think like. And for most believers, it's
[1:40:24] difficult for them to think than to pray.
[1:40:27] It's very easy for believers to pray, but it's very difficult
[1:40:30] for them to think. And I'll drop that.
[1:40:37] So 70 year old MBA, one time I wrote in my journal that at the
[1:40:44] end of my life, if I'm old, I want to see the lives that what
[1:40:51] we did on earth blessed. So leave for people be 70 and
[1:40:58] still have people coming around you because 20-30 years ago they
[1:41:02] probably chanced on your episode with Bill Kobner and it changed
[1:41:08] their lives. You know, live for people, touch
[1:41:11] lives by extension be blessed. So 70 year old thanking God for
[1:41:16] half of the journey has been the lives we've been able to touch
[1:41:20] the people we've been able to bless in our world.
[1:41:22] And most importantly, being very grateful for even the
[1:41:27] opportunity to do this thing called life because not
[1:41:29] everybody who gets to do life and to probably touch it at the
[1:41:32] skill, probably we're touching now.
[1:41:34] So for me, it's like gratitude. That would be like the sum, the
[1:41:39] sum of like my life at 70, like gratitude at every point in
[1:41:43] time, reflect. And all you can say is thank
[1:41:45] you. Gratitude.
[1:41:46] All you can say is thank you. Yeah.
[1:41:49] It's good to mention this cause Oren Buffett just delivered his
[1:41:54] last letter after almost was bored.
[1:41:59] A lifetime of building wire makes a hard way.
[1:42:02] And he said that in one of the lines.
[1:42:04] He's like, have the end in mind. You know, imagine you're at your
[1:42:11] obituary and then you know, you're at your funeral.
[1:42:14] And how does that look like? Have that vision in mind.
[1:42:16] I'm not, I'm not paraphrasing. I'm just paraphrasing, sorry.
[1:42:21] And have that objective in mind. Have that dream in mind and just
[1:42:25] live your life to get to that point.
[1:42:27] The first time I think I came across that idea was the seven
[1:42:31] habits of high defective people. I always have the end in mind.
[1:42:34] And then conduct yourself to fit it.
[1:42:37] Yeah. Moses, thanks for what you're
[1:42:38] doing. Thank you.
[1:42:40] It's been an inspiring conversation.
[1:42:41] One, you're an inspiring young man.
[1:42:43] Thank you. And I really pray that the God
[1:42:47] you believe actually brings his blessings to your service.
[1:42:50] And I pray that at the end of it all, you know, you, you be in
[1:42:55] the speed of gratitude like you so desire and that you save
[1:42:59] millions and that you will build for people like us to come and
[1:43:03] live in. Yeah.
[1:43:05] So thank you so much. Well, thanks for coming.
[1:43:07] Thank you, Thank you, thank you. Thank you for having me.
[1:43:09] Thank you. I'm grateful.
[1:43:11] Yeah, so friends, Moses, Biatha, and that's how much I mean, it's
[1:43:16] just build something.
