[0:48] Speaker 1: It really means a lot. You can put this on
[0:51] Speaker 1: in the background while you wind down, do chores, or
[0:56] Speaker 1: just relax. I'll keep you company now. Tonight's story is
[1:03] Speaker 1: about a little fox named Hazel and a mysterious map
[1:09] Speaker 1: that only appears under moonlight. It's called Hazel and the
[1:16] Speaker 1: Moonlit Map. Hazel was a small fox with rust colored
[1:22] Speaker 1: fur and bright amber eyes. She live at the edge
[1:27] Speaker 1: of a quiet village in a cozy den beneath the
[1:31] Speaker 1: roots of an old oak tree. Every night, after the
[1:36] Speaker 1: last fireflies blinked goodbye and the moon climbed high into
[1:42] Speaker 1: the sky, Hazel would sit on the hill outside her
[1:46] Speaker 1: den and gaze up at the star. She loved the
[1:50] Speaker 1: way the night sky felt so big and still, like
[1:55] Speaker 1: a blanket draped gently over the whole world. But there
[2:00] Speaker 1: was one thing that bothered Hazel. On the far side
[2:04] Speaker 1: of the village, past the stone wall and the sleepy
[2:09] Speaker 1: sheep field, there was a dark stretch of forest that
[2:14] Speaker 1: no one ever entered after sunset. The older animals called
[2:20] Speaker 1: it the shadow Grove. They said strange lights sometimes flickered
[2:26] Speaker 1: between the trees, and that the wind there whispered words
[2:32] Speaker 1: nobody could quite understand. Hazel's mother always told her to
[2:38] Speaker 1: stay far away from that place, but Hazer was curious.
[2:44] Speaker 1: She had always been the kind of fox who wondered
[2:47] Speaker 1: about things. When she saw a puddle, she wondered where
[2:52] Speaker 1: the water had come from. When she heard thunder, she
[2:57] Speaker 1: wondered what the clouds were saying to each each other.
[3:01] Speaker 1: And when she saw the shadow grow from across the field,
[3:06] Speaker 1: she wondered what was really hiding inside those dark One
[3:11] Speaker 1: evening in early autumn, Hazel was sitting on her hill
[3:15] Speaker 1: when something caught her eye. A pale blue glow was
[3:19] Speaker 1: coming from the root cellar beneath her den. She had
[3:24] Speaker 1: never noticed it before. Carefully, she climbed down into the
[3:29] Speaker 1: cellar and brushed away a pile of old leaves. Underneath,
[3:34] Speaker 1: pressed flat against the cool stone floor, was a piece
[3:38] Speaker 1: of paper. But this was no ordinary paper. It shimmered
[3:43] Speaker 1: with a soft silver light, and tiny lines were drawn
[3:47] Speaker 1: across it in ink that seemed to glow from within.
[3:52] Speaker 1: It was a map. Hazel picked it up carefully, holding
[3:58] Speaker 1: it close to her face. The map showed the forest,
[4:03] Speaker 1: the village, the hill where she sat every night, and
[4:09] Speaker 1: the shadow Grove. But the Shadow Grove on this map
[4:14] Speaker 1: looked very different from how it looked in real life.
[4:19] Speaker 1: On the map, it was full of color. There were
[4:23] Speaker 1: winding paths marked in gold, tiny pictures of flowers and
[4:28] Speaker 1: trees with smiling faces, and right in the center a
[4:34] Speaker 1: small circle with the words the listening Garden written in delicate,
[4:41] Speaker 1: curving letters. Hazel felt her heart beat a little faster.
[4:46] Speaker 1: A listening garden in the shadow Grove. She turned the
[4:52] Speaker 1: map over, and on the back, in the same glowing ink,
[4:57] Speaker 1: was a short message, This ma appears only under the
[5:02] Speaker 1: full moon. Follow the golden path, and the garden will
[5:08] Speaker 1: reveal itself to those who listen with their hearts. Hazel
[5:13] Speaker 1: looked up through the cellar entrance. She could see the
[5:17] Speaker 1: moon round and bright, hanging in the autumn sky to
[5:24] Speaker 1: night was a full moon. She knew this was her chance,
[5:29] Speaker 1: wrapping the map around a small stick so it wouldn't
[5:33] Speaker 1: blow away in the wind. Hazel trotted across the field
[5:38] Speaker 1: toward the Shadow Grove. The grass was wet with dew,
[5:43] Speaker 1: and tiny droplets sparkled on her fur as she ran.
[5:49] Speaker 1: The night was quiet, except for the gentle hoot of
[5:52] Speaker 1: an owl somewhere in the distance. When Hazel reached the
[5:56] Speaker 1: edge of the shadow Grove, she paused. The trees here
[6:01] Speaker 1: were tall and close together, and the darkness between them
[6:06] Speaker 1: looked thick and heavy. But she held up the map,
[6:12] Speaker 1: and its silver glow pushed back the shadows just enough
[6:16] Speaker 1: for her to see. She stepped on to the Golden Path.
[6:22] Speaker 1: At first, the forest seemed ordinary enough. The ground was
[6:28] Speaker 1: soft with fallen leaves, and the air smelled like pine
[6:32] Speaker 1: and damp earth. But after a few minutes Hazel began
[6:37] Speaker 1: to notice things she had never seen before. There were
[6:41] Speaker 1: mushrooms growing on a fallen log, but these mushrooms were
[6:45] Speaker 1: glowing a soft pink, like tiny lanterns. A spider had
[6:51] Speaker 1: woven a web between two branches, and the web was
[6:56] Speaker 1: catching the moonlight in a way that made it look
[6:59] Speaker 1: like a net made of silver thread. Even the bark
[7:06] Speaker 1: on the trees had patterns in it, swirling lines that
[7:11] Speaker 1: looked almost like sleeping faces. As Hazel walked deeper into
[7:16] Speaker 1: the grove, she heard something. At first, it was just
[7:21] Speaker 1: a faint hum, like the sound of bee makes on
[7:24] Speaker 1: a warm afternoon. But as she followed the golden path,
[7:30] Speaker 1: the hum grew into something more musical. It was like
[7:35] Speaker 1: a lullaby being sung by the forest itself, a soft
[7:40] Speaker 1: melody that made Hazel feel warm and safe. She came
[7:47] Speaker 1: to a clearing and there, right in the center of
[7:51] Speaker 1: the shadow grove was the Listening Garden. It was the
[7:56] Speaker 1: most wonderful place Hazel had ever seen. Flowers of every
[8:03] Speaker 1: color were growing in neat little rows, their petals glowing
[8:08] Speaker 1: softly in the moonlight. There were bluebells that chimed when
[8:13] Speaker 1: the breeze touched them, roses that hummed relating notes, and
[8:20] Speaker 1: tall sunflowers that swayed in a rhythm, like they were
[8:24] Speaker 1: keeping time with the music. In the middle of the
[8:27] Speaker 1: garden stood a stone bench, and on the bench sat
[8:32] Speaker 1: a small creature Hazel had never seen before. It was
[8:37] Speaker 1: a hedgehog, but not like any hedgehog she knew. This
[8:43] Speaker 1: hedgehog had quills that shimmered with a faint blue light,
[8:49] Speaker 1: like the moon had painted each one. The hedgehog was
[8:54] Speaker 1: holding a tiny book and reading aloud in a voice
[8:59] Speaker 1: that was so soft and warm. The wind carried the
[9:03] Speaker 1: seed across the valley. The hedgehog red, and the seed
[9:09] Speaker 1: fell into the earth, and the earth held it close,
[9:15] Speaker 1: and the seed grew into a tree, and the tree
[9:20] Speaker 1: reached for the sky. Hazel stood very still listening. The
[9:27] Speaker 1: hedgehog's voice blended with the music of the flowers, and
[9:32] Speaker 1: Hazel felt a deep sense of peace wash over her.
[9:37] Speaker 1: She understood now why this place was called the listening Garden.
[9:44] Speaker 1: Every story told here became part of the music, and
[9:49] Speaker 1: the music made everything in the garden grow and glow.
[9:53] Speaker 1: The hedgehog finished reading and looked up at Hazel with kind,
[9:58] Speaker 1: dark eyes. Welcome, the hedgehog said, my name is Thistle.
[10:06] Speaker 1: I've been waiting for someone new to visit, waiting for me.
[10:11] Speaker 1: Hazel asked, surprised, But I only just found the map tonight,
[10:18] Speaker 1: Thistle smiled. The map finds the ones who need it.
[10:24] Speaker 1: You've been curious about this forest for a long time,
[10:28] Speaker 1: haven't you? Every night you sit on your hill and
[10:33] Speaker 1: wonder about the Shadow Grove. The moon heard your wondering,
[10:39] Speaker 1: and tonight it decided to answer. Hazel sat down on
[10:44] Speaker 1: the grass next to the bench, still holding the map.
[10:49] Speaker 1: What is this place, she asked? This is where stories grow,
[10:55] Speaker 1: Thistle said, simply, every story that has ever been told
[11:01] Speaker 1: by a kind heart leaves a seed behind. Those seeds
[11:07] Speaker 1: find their way here to the listening garden, and they
[11:11] Speaker 1: grow into flowers. Each flower holds a different story, and
[11:18] Speaker 1: when someone reads that story aloud, the garden shares its
[11:23] Speaker 1: music with the whole forest. That's why the animals hear
[11:27] Speaker 1: strange sounds at night. Hazel said, her eyes wide. It's
[11:34] Speaker 1: not the forest being scary, it's the garden singing. Thistle
[11:39] Speaker 1: nodded exactly. But not everyone is ready to hear the music.
[11:48] Speaker 1: Some ears need time to learn to listen. That is
[11:52] Speaker 1: why the Shadow Grove is dark to those who are afraid.
[11:58] Speaker 1: But you, Hazel, you were never afraid. You were just curious,
[12:05] Speaker 1: and curiosity, when it is gentle and kind, always finds
[12:11] Speaker 1: its way to lovely things. Hazel felt a warmth in
[12:15] Speaker 1: her chest like a tiny candle had been lit inside her.
[12:22] Speaker 1: Can I read a story too, she asked. Thistle held
[12:26] Speaker 1: out the small book. Of course, that is why the
[12:32] Speaker 1: garden is here. Every story that is read with love
[12:37] Speaker 1: makes the flowers glow brighter, and the music grows stronger,
[12:44] Speaker 1: and the whole forest feels a little more peaceful. Hazel
[12:48] Speaker 1: took the book and opened it. The first page had
[12:53] Speaker 1: a story about a little rain cloud who was afraid
[12:56] Speaker 1: of heights. The cloud wanted to lie low and stay
[13:01] Speaker 1: near the ground, but the wind kept pushing it higher
[13:06] Speaker 1: and higher. The story was about how the cloud learned
[13:11] Speaker 1: that sometimes when you let go of your fear, you
[13:16] Speaker 1: discover that the view from up high is the most
[13:20] Speaker 1: wonderful thing you have ever seen. Hazel read the story aloud,
[13:26] Speaker 1: and as she did, she felt the garden respond. The
[13:32] Speaker 1: bluebells chimed a little louder, the roses hummed a warmer note,
[13:39] Speaker 1: the sunflower swayed with more energy, And when she finished reading,
[13:46] Speaker 1: a single petal from a glowing white flower drifted down
[13:52] Speaker 1: and landed gently on her paw. Thistle smiled, that petal
[13:58] Speaker 1: holds the story. You just red take it with you,
[14:03] Speaker 1: and whenever you want to come back to the listening garden.
[14:08] Speaker 1: Hold the pedal up to the moonlight, and the golden
[14:12] Speaker 1: path will appear again. Hazel carefully placed the petal in
[14:17] Speaker 1: the small pouch she wore around her neck. She looked
[14:22] Speaker 1: around the garden one more time, taking in the colors
[14:27] Speaker 1: and the music and the gentle glow of everything around her.
[14:33] Speaker 1: She felt happy and peaceful and a little bit magical.
[14:38] Speaker 1: Thank you, Thistle, she said, Thank you for coming. Thistle replied,
[14:44] Speaker 1: the garden has been quiet for a while. It is
[14:48] Speaker 1: nice to have a new reader. Hazel followed the golden
[14:53] Speaker 1: path back through the forest. The pink mushrooms still glowed,
[14:59] Speaker 1: the silver web still shimmered, and the wind still hummed
[15:04] Speaker 1: its quiet lullaby. When she stepped out of the shadow
[15:09] Speaker 1: grove and into the open field, she looked back and
[15:14] Speaker 1: saw that the forest didn't look dark or scary at all.
[15:19] Speaker 1: It looked warm, like it was full of music and
[15:23] Speaker 1: stories and gentle things. She had trotted back to her din,
[15:29] Speaker 1: climbed under her soft blanket and held the glowing petal close.
[15:36] Speaker 1: The moon shone through the entrance of her den, and
[15:40] Speaker 1: the petal sparkled in its light. Hazel closed her eyes
[15:47] Speaker 1: and smiled listening to the faint echo of the garden's
[15:53] Speaker 1: music carried on the night breeze, and she dreamed of
[15:58] Speaker 1: flowers that sang, and stories that grew, and a little
[16:04] Speaker 1: blue hedgehog who waited patiently in a garden maid of moonlight.
[16:10] Speaker 1: Good night, everyone, sleep tight, and remember that the most
[16:15] Speaker 1: wonderful things are often hiding in the places we are
[16:20] Speaker 1: too afraid to explore. Be curious, be gentle, and always
[16:28] Speaker 1: listen with your heart sweet dreams. Clig
