## Transcript

[0:04] Speaker 1: Us was to the ears, down by the shimmering shore,
[0:11] Speaker 1: where the waves whispered secrets to the sand, and the
[0:15] Speaker 1: seagulls sang their morning songs. There lived a tiny starfish
[0:20] Speaker 1: named Sunny. Sonny had fast, soft orange arms, a cheerful
[0:26] Speaker 1: round body, and the biggest dream in all the ocean.
[0:32] Speaker 1: I want to fly, Sonny said every single morning, pressing
[0:38] Speaker 1: her arms against the warm rocks and gazing up at
[0:43] Speaker 1: the birds soaring high above the tide pools. I want
[0:48] Speaker 1: to see the whole world from up in the sky.
[0:52] Speaker 1: The other starfish who lived in the tide pool would
[0:56] Speaker 1: laugh gently whenever they heard this starff fish cannot fly Sonny,
[1:02] Speaker 1: said Marco, who was the oldest starfish in the pool.
[1:07] Speaker 1: We belonged to the sea. That is where we are
[1:11] Speaker 1: meant to stay. Yes, agreed little Petra, who was even
[1:16] Speaker 1: smaller than Sonny. Why would you want to leave? The
[1:21] Speaker 1: tidepool has everything we need. But Sonny did not give
[1:26] Speaker 1: up on her dream. Every single day she would stretch
[1:32] Speaker 1: her five arms as wide as she could and pretend
[1:39] Speaker 1: she was a bird. She watched how the sea gulls
[1:44] Speaker 1: flapped their wings up and down, up and down. Then
[1:53] Speaker 1: she would try to copy them, wiggling her arms back
[1:57] Speaker 1: and forth in the water. Sometimes she wiggled so hard
[2:03] Speaker 1: that tiny waves splashed over Marko, who would grumble and
[2:09] Speaker 1: shuffle to a drier rock. One warm evening, as the
[2:14] Speaker 1: sun painted the sky in shades of pink and gold,
[2:20] Speaker 1: a wise old sea turtle named Shelley swam slowly by
[2:25] Speaker 1: the tide pool. She was enormous, with a shell covered
[2:31] Speaker 1: in green moss and kind, wrinkled eyes that had seen
[2:38] Speaker 1: a thousand oceans. Why do you wiggle so much, little one,
[2:44] Speaker 1: Shelley asked, peering into the pool with her gentle face.
[2:49] Speaker 1: I want to fly, Sanny told her proudly. I want
[2:53] Speaker 1: to soar above the waves and see everything from up high.
[2:58] Speaker 1: But everyone says starfish cannot fly. Shelley smiled her slow,
[3:04] Speaker 1: knowing smile. They are right, dear, you cannot fly with
[3:08] Speaker 1: wings you do not have. She paused, and her eyes twinkled.
[3:13] Speaker 1: But you can do something even more wonderful. You can
[3:17] Speaker 1: discover what makes you special. Sunny blinked all five of
[3:22] Speaker 1: her tiny eyes. But what if I do not have
[3:27] Speaker 1: anything special? What if I am just an ordinary starfish
[3:31] Speaker 1: who dreams too much? Oh, Sunny said Shelley, her voice
[3:36] Speaker 1: as warm as sunlight on water. Every single creature in
[3:41] Speaker 1: this great, big ocean has a gift everyone. You just
[3:46] Speaker 1: have to look in the right place to find yours.
[3:50] Speaker 1: And with that, Shelley glided away into the deep blue water,
[3:55] Speaker 1: leaving Sonny alone with her thoughts. So Sonny decided to
[3:59] Speaker 1: explore if she had a gift, she was going to
[4:04] Speaker 1: find it. First, she tried swimming like the fish. She
[4:08] Speaker 1: watched a school of silver minnows darting through the water,
[4:12] Speaker 1: their scales flashing like tiny mirrors. Sonny wiggled her arms
[4:16] Speaker 1: and pushed with all her might, but she moved so
[4:19] Speaker 1: slowly that a sleeping clam could have outrun her. The
[4:22] Speaker 1: minnows zoomed past her, not even noticing she was trying
[4:27] Speaker 1: to race well, Sunny sighed, swim in ears, definitely not
[4:35] Speaker 1: my gift. Next, she tried floating like the jellyfish. She
[4:41] Speaker 1: had always admired, how they drifted so gracefully, their long
[4:47] Speaker 1: tentacles trailing behind them like ribbons. Sonny puffed herself up
[4:53] Speaker 1: and let go, hoping the current would carry her lil
[4:57] Speaker 1: I think. Instead, the water pushed her sideways, then flipped
[5:04] Speaker 1: her upside down, then bumped her into a rock. She
[5:10] Speaker 1: tumbled and rolled until she landed right back where she started,
[5:15] Speaker 1: feeling dizzy and sandy. Floating is not my gift either,
[5:20] Speaker 1: she muttered, spitting out a tiny piece of seaweed. Then
[5:24] Speaker 1: she tried hiding, like the octopus she had watched Octavia
[5:28] Speaker 1: the octopus change her colors to match the rocks, becoming
[5:32] Speaker 1: almost invisible. But no matter how hard Sonny tried, her
[5:36] Speaker 1: bright orange arm stood out like little flames against the
[5:39] Speaker 1: gray stone. Even with her eyes closed, she could feel
[5:43] Speaker 1: that she was completely visible. A small hermit crab named
[5:48] Speaker 1: Pepper scuttled over and toted at his shall of her.
[5:53] Speaker 1: What are you doing, he asked, Trying to hide, said
[5:57] Speaker 1: Sonny miserably. You are the bright thing in this tidepool,
[6:01] Speaker 1: Pepper said, honestly, I could see you from across the beach.
[6:06] Speaker 1: Sunny felt her hope sink like a stone. Maybe the
[6:10] Speaker 1: other starfish were right, Maybe she was just meant to
[6:14] Speaker 1: sicken the tide pool and dream about flying, never actually
[6:19] Speaker 1: doing anything special at all. That night, something magical happened.
[6:25] Speaker 1: The sun dipped below the horizon and the sky turned
[6:29] Speaker 1: from orange to purple to deep dark blue. One by one,
[6:34] Speaker 1: the stars appeared, twinkling like diamonds, scattered across fell bit.
[6:39] Speaker 1: The moon rose full and bright, casting a silver path
[6:44] Speaker 1: across the ocean, and then Sunny noticed something incredible. Her
[6:50] Speaker 1: arms were glowing. A soft, beautiful light pulsed from each
[6:54] Speaker 1: of her five points, shimmering in shades of blue and green,
[6:58] Speaker 1: like tiny lightning bugs trapped inside her skin. The light
[7:03] Speaker 1: grew brighter and brighter, until the entire tidepool was bathed
[7:07] Speaker 1: in a gentle, magical glow. What is happening to me, Sonny, whispered,
[7:13] Speaker 1: staring at her own arms in wonder. Pepper, the hermit crab,
[7:17] Speaker 1: who had been sleeping in his shell near by, poked
[7:21] Speaker 1: his head out and his eyes went wide. Sunny, you
[7:26] Speaker 1: are glowing. You are actually glowing. That is the most
[7:31] Speaker 1: amazing thing I have ever seen in my entire life.
[7:36] Speaker 1: It is called by a luminescence sat a passing squid
[7:40] Speaker 1: named Inksworth, who was very learned some sea creatures can
[7:45] Speaker 1: make their own light. It is a very rare and
[7:49] Speaker 1: very special gift. Furred spread quickly through the ocean. Fish
[7:55] Speaker 1: came from coral reefs to see the glowing starfish. Baby
[8:00] Speaker 1: sea horses danced in her light, their tiny tails curling
[8:06] Speaker 1: with joy. A family of crabs held a little party
[8:11] Speaker 1: right there in the tide pool, clicking their claws in delight.
[8:17] Speaker 1: Even the sea gulls, who had always seemed so far
[8:19] Speaker 1: away and unreachable, flew down low to peer at the
[8:23] Speaker 1: shimmering starfish with curious, wandering eyes. I cannot fly, Sonny said,
[8:29] Speaker 1: her heart full of happiness, as she lit up the
[8:31] Speaker 1: dark tide pool for all her friends. But I can
[8:35] Speaker 1: make the night sparkle. And you know what that is
[8:39] Speaker 1: even better. Shelly the turtle appeared at the edge of
[8:42] Speaker 1: the pool, her ancient eyes shining with pride. You found
[8:46] Speaker 1: your gift, little one. You did not need wings. You
[8:51] Speaker 1: did not need to swim fast, or float gracefully or
[8:54] Speaker 1: hide in the shadows. You needed to discover the light
[8:59] Speaker 1: that was inside you all along. But I spent so
[9:04] Speaker 1: long trying to be like everyone else, Sonny said. That
[9:09] Speaker 1: is the mistake many creatures make. Shelley replied wisely, you
[9:15] Speaker 1: do not need to be like everyone else. You just
[9:19] Speaker 1: need to be the very best version of yourself. And
[9:24] Speaker 1: look at you now, you are magnificent. From that night
[9:29] Speaker 1: on sunny became the night light of the tidepool. Every evening,
[9:38] Speaker 1: when the moon came up and the stars appeared, she
[9:43] Speaker 1: would glow and shine, and all the little sea creatures
[9:49] Speaker 1: would gather around her. They felt safe in her gentle light,
[9:56] Speaker 1: They felt happy, They felt like any thing was possible,
[10:01] Speaker 1: And Sonny never wished to fly again, because she had
[10:05] Speaker 1: discovered something far more magical than flying. She had discovered
[10:10] Speaker 1: who she was meant to be. Marko, the oldest starfish,
[10:15] Speaker 1: who had once told her that starfish cannot fly, now
[10:20] Speaker 1: told every young starfish he met about Sunny. She proved
[10:24] Speaker 1: us all wrong, he would say, with admiration, not because
[10:28] Speaker 1: she learned to fly, but because she learned to shine.
[10:33] Speaker 1: So if you ever visit a tide pool on a
[10:36] Speaker 1: moonlit night, look closely at the rocks, Look very carefully.
[10:44] Speaker 1: You might just see a tiny starfish glowing, like a
[10:49] Speaker 1: little star that fell from the sky and chose to
[10:53] Speaker 1: live in the sea. You see, but you an you do,
[11:04] Speaker 1: say hullo to Sonny. She would love to light up
[11:08] Speaker 1: your night. Good night, little one. Remember you do not
[11:12] Speaker 1: need wings to shine. You already have everything you need
[11:15] Speaker 1: to be wonderful, just the way you are. Sweet dreams,
