## Transcript

[0:00] Speaker 1: Deep in the heart of a colorful autumn forest, tucked
[0:03] Speaker 1: safely inside the hollow of a giant, sleepy oak tree,
[0:08] Speaker 1: lived a little ghost named Finn. Finn was not like
[0:12] Speaker 1: the ghosts you see in spooky movies. He did not
[0:15] Speaker 1: rattle heavy chains, he did not hide in dark closets,
[0:19] Speaker 1: and he certainly never, ever shouted boo at anyone. Instead,
[0:26] Speaker 1: Finn was small, round, and inquisitive. incredibly soft. If you
[0:31] Speaker 1: could touch him, he would feel just like a floating,
[0:35] Speaker 1: fluffy marshmallow. And when he floated through the air, he
[0:39] Speaker 1: didn't make a scary sound. He sounded like a gentle
[0:42] Speaker 1: autumn breeze rustling through the golden leaves. Whoosh. Swish. Whoosh.
[0:51] Speaker 1: Finn had a very special secret. While older ghosts loved
[0:56] Speaker 1: the pitch black darkness, Finn loved the light. Whenever he
[1:01] Speaker 1: felt happy, his little marshmallow tummy would glow with a soft, warm,
[1:07] Speaker 1: pale blue light. He looked exactly like a friendly, floating nightlight.
[1:13] Speaker 1: The older ghosts in the forest didn't understand Finn. They
[1:16] Speaker 1: would spend their days practicing their scary faces in the
[1:20] Speaker 1: mirror and puffing out their chests to look as big
[1:23] Speaker 1: as storm clouds. Halloween is tonight, Finn, a tall ghost
[1:28] Speaker 1: named Barnaby boomed. You need to practice being scary. You
[1:33] Speaker 1: need to hide in the shadows and make people jump.
[1:37] Speaker 1: Finn just smiled a small, polite smile. No, thank you, Barnaby,
[1:42] Speaker 1: Finn whispered in his soft, breezy voice. I don't want
[1:46] Speaker 1: to make anyone jump. I just want to float and
[1:49] Speaker 1: watch the autumn stars. When the sun finally set on
[1:54] Speaker 1: Halloween night, the forest turned dark and quiet. The older
[1:59] Speaker 1: ghosts zoomed up into the sky, ready to playfully spook
[2:03] Speaker 1: the neighborhood. But Finn decided to stay close to the ground,
[2:07] Speaker 1: floating gently over the soft, crunchy leaves and the sleepy
[2:11] Speaker 1: pumpkin patches. As he floated near the edge of the forest,
[2:16] Speaker 1: Finn heard a tiny sound. It wasn't a scary sound.
[2:20] Speaker 1: It was a sniffle. Sniff, sniff. Finn floated closer, his
[2:27] Speaker 1: pale blue light glowing just a little bit brighter to
[2:30] Speaker 1: see through the darkness. Sitting on a wooden log at
[2:33] Speaker 1: the edge of a garden path was a little boy.
[2:37] Speaker 1: The boy was wearing a shiny silver cardboard helmet and
[2:40] Speaker 1: holding a little cardboard shield. He was dressed as a
[2:44] Speaker 1: brave knight for Halloween. But right now, the brave knight
[2:48] Speaker 1: did not feel very brave. He had dropped his little
[2:52] Speaker 1: flashlight in the grass and it had stopped working. The
[2:55] Speaker 1: garden path looked very dark. The tall trees cast long,
[3:00] Speaker 1: twisting shadows that looked like giant sleeping dragons to the
[3:05] Speaker 1: little boy. He was too afraid of the dark to
[3:08] Speaker 1: walk the rest of the way home. Finn knew exactly
[3:11] Speaker 1: what it felt like to be small and misunderstood. He
[3:14] Speaker 1: wanted to help, but he knew that if he just
[3:17] Speaker 1: popped out and surprised the boy, the little knight might
[3:21] Speaker 1: get even more scared. So... Finn had a clever idea.
[3:26] Speaker 1: Instead of floating right up to him, Finn hid behind
[3:30] Speaker 1: a bush and began to glow. He made his pale
[3:34] Speaker 1: blue light very soft and warm. Then, because ghosts can
[3:39] Speaker 1: change their shape, Finn stretched his marshmallow body until he
[3:44] Speaker 1: looked exactly like a glowing, friendly little puppy. He floated
[3:49] Speaker 1: out from behind the bush, wagging his glowing puppy tail.
[3:54] Speaker 1: The little knight stopped sniffling. He rubbed his eyes and
[3:58] Speaker 1: looked at the glowing shape. A magic puppy, the little
[4:03] Speaker 1: boy whispered. Finn the puppy nodded his head and did
[4:07] Speaker 1: a little flip in the air. The boy giggled. It
[4:11] Speaker 1: was a lovely, happy sound that made the dark forest
[4:14] Speaker 1: feel much less scary. The twisting shadows didn't look like
[4:18] Speaker 1: dragons anymore. They just looked like sleepy trees. Finn slowly
[4:24] Speaker 1: floated down the garden path, looking back to make sure
[4:27] Speaker 1: the boy was following. The soft blue light from Finn's
[4:31] Speaker 1: tummy lit up the stepping stones one by one. One step,
[4:37] Speaker 1: two steps, three steps. The brave little knight followed his
[4:42] Speaker 1: glowing friend, feeling safe and warm. When they finally reached
[4:47] Speaker 1: the boy's front porch, the porch light was shining brightly.
[4:52] Speaker 1: Finn knew his job was done. He changed back into
[4:55] Speaker 1: his little round marshmallow shape. The boy smiled, waving his
[5:00] Speaker 1: cardboard shield. Thank you, friendly ghost, he whispered into the
[5:05] Speaker 1: autumn night. Finn felt his heart fill with joy. His
[5:10] Speaker 1: light glowed a beautiful, happy gold. He realized that Barnaby
[5:15] Speaker 1: and the older ghosts were wrong. You don't have to
[5:18] Speaker 1: be loud or scary to be special on Halloween. Sometimes,
[5:23] Speaker 1: the bravest and most magical thing you can do is
[5:27] Speaker 1: just share your light with someone who needs it. Now,
[5:31] Speaker 1: the Halloween wind is slowing down, and the forest is
[5:34] Speaker 1: getting ready to sleep. Finn has floated back to his
[5:38] Speaker 1: cozy hollow in the giant oak tree. His soft blue
[5:42] Speaker 1: light is dimming, fading into a gentle, sleepy glow. It
[5:48] Speaker 1: is time to rest. Close your eyes. Take a long,
[5:53] Speaker 1: deep breath and let the gentle glow of the friendly
[5:56] Speaker 1: little ghost guide you into a peaceful, cozy sleep. Good night.
