## Transcript

[0:02] Speaker 1: The sleepy animals. Once upon a time, right in the
[0:07] Speaker 1: middle of a large green city park, the busy daytime
[0:11] Speaker 1: was finally coming to a gentle end. The bright, warm
[0:15] Speaker 1: sun slowly dipped behind the tall trees, painting the vast
[0:19] Speaker 1: evening sky in beautiful, sleepy shades of deep purple, dark indigo,
[0:24] Speaker 1: and soft orange. The heavy iron gates at the front
[0:29] Speaker 1: entrance slowly closed for the night, shutting out all the
[0:33] Speaker 1: noisy sounds of the city. Inside the beautiful animal park,
[0:38] Speaker 1: everything was settling down, becoming incredibly still and wonderfully quiet.
[0:45] Speaker 1: The gentle evening wind began to blow through the tall
[0:48] Speaker 1: green trees, moving the large leaves and creating a wonderfully relaxing,
[0:53] Speaker 1: constant background sound. Our quiet evening walk begins at the
[0:59] Speaker 1: edge of a y, open grassy field. Here a family
[1:04] Speaker 1: of large, gentle elephants was getting ready for sleep. They
[1:09] Speaker 1: had spent the entire day walking and bathing in the
[1:12] Speaker 1: cool water, and now their massive legs were very tired.
[1:17] Speaker 1: A young elephant walked slowly toward a large pile of
[1:21] Speaker 1: soft golden hay. Every time his heavy foot touched the
[1:25] Speaker 1: soft dirt, it made a deep, muffled sound that echoed
[1:29] Speaker 1: softly in the quiet air. He bent his large, heavy
[1:34] Speaker 1: knees and lay down gently into the warm hay. He
[1:39] Speaker 1: let out a long, slow breath through his trunk, letting
[1:43] Speaker 1: all his heavy muscles completely melt into the ground. We
[1:47] Speaker 1: continue our slow walk down the quiet, winding dirt path
[1:51] Speaker 1: until we reached the tall trees of the monkey forest.
[1:55] Speaker 1: During the day, this place is full of swinging branches
[2:00] Speaker 1: and busy movement, but tonight it is perfectly still. The small,
[2:05] Speaker 1: tired monkeys have climbed high up into the thick protective branches.
[2:11] Speaker 1: They are huddled closely together, wrapping their long, soft tails
[2:15] Speaker 1: around each other like warm, fuzzy blankets. The gentle night
[2:20] Speaker 1: breeze slowly rocks the tree branches back and forth, side
[2:25] Speaker 1: to side, acting like a giant natural cradle. Just past
[2:30] Speaker 1: the tall trees, we find a quiet, calm pond surrounded
[2:35] Speaker 1: by smooth rocks. This is where the heavy hippos live.
[2:40] Speaker 1: The water is dark, warm, and completely still, reflecting the
[2:45] Speaker 1: beautiful silver stars above. The sleepy hippos walk very slowly
[2:50] Speaker 1: into the warm water. You can hear the gentle sound
[2:54] Speaker 1: of the water moving as their heavy bodies sink down, down, down,
[3:00] Speaker 1: they sink until only their resting eyes and noses remain
[3:04] Speaker 1: above the surface. They breathe slowly, creating tiny, gentle ripples
[3:10] Speaker 1: that travel peacefully across the dark water. Further down the
[3:15] Speaker 1: path we see the gentle giraffes. Their incredibly long legs
[3:20] Speaker 1: and tall necks have been reaching for leaves all day long.
[3:25] Speaker 1: Now standing in the cool, soft grass, they are finally resting.
[3:30] Speaker 1: You can hear the quiet, slow sound of a giraffe
[3:34] Speaker 1: chewing the very last green leaves of the day. It
[3:37] Speaker 1: is a slow, steady and very relaxing sound. Slowly they
[3:43] Speaker 1: lower their long, heavy necks, resting their heads softly against
[3:47] Speaker 1: their own warm backs, ready for a deep sleep. Finally
[3:52] Speaker 1: we find the warm stone enclosure of the Mighty Lions.
[3:57] Speaker 1: The large father lion is resting on top of a smooth,
[4:01] Speaker 1: flat rock that is still holding the comforting heat from
[4:04] Speaker 1: the afternoon sun. He does not want to run or
[4:08] Speaker 1: roar tonight. Instead, he rests his heavy head squarely on
[4:13] Speaker 1: his large front paws. You can hear the deep rhythmic
[4:17] Speaker 1: sound of his heavy breathing breathe in, breathe out. His
[4:23] Speaker 1: chest moves up and down in a slow, steady rhythm.
[4:27] Speaker 1: That makes the entire evening feel incredibly safe and profoundly peaceful.
[4:32] Speaker 1: This quiet gen Clee walk makes the perfect Zoo bedtime story,
[4:38] Speaker 1: showing us that no matter how big or energetic we
[4:41] Speaker 1: are during the day, our bodies always crave the quiet
[4:44] Speaker 1: comfort of a safe place to sleep. The entire park
[4:48] Speaker 1: is now perfectly quiet. The gentle elephants are dreaming in
[4:53] Speaker 1: the hay, the monkeys are perfectly secure in the rocking trees,
[4:58] Speaker 1: the hippos are floating in the warm water, the giraffes
[5:01] Speaker 1: are resting their heavy necks, and the warm lions are
[5:04] Speaker 1: completely relaxed on the heated stones. Finding such deep, uninterrupted
[5:10] Speaker 1: peace at the end of a long day makes this
[5:13] Speaker 1: Zous bedtime story so incredibly special. Wrapped in the warm,
[5:18] Speaker 1: cool night air, all the wonderful animals drift away into
[5:22] Speaker 1: a deep, dreamless and perfectly RESTful sleep.
