[0:00] Speaker 1: Fireman Sam and the mystery of the missing kitten. Once
[0:04] Speaker 1: upon a time, in the quiet and beautiful coastal town
[0:08] Speaker 1: of Ponapande, where everyone knew each other, there lived a
[0:13] Speaker 1: very special firefighter. He wasn't just any firefighter, he was
[0:18] Speaker 1: the best. His name was Fireman Sam, and he was
[0:22] Speaker 1: always ready to help any person or animal in trouble.
[0:26] Speaker 1: One evening, as the stars began to twinkle over the
[0:30] Speaker 1: fire station, Sam and his colleagues Elvis and Penny were
[0:36] Speaker 1: just about ready to call it a night. The big
[0:39] Speaker 1: fire engine Jupiter looked calm and silent. Looks like it'll
[0:44] Speaker 1: be a peaceful night, everyone said Sam, carefully taking off
[0:48] Speaker 1: his helmet and hanging it up. But right at that moment,
[0:52] Speaker 1: the emergency alarm sounded. By it, buy it, buy it.
[0:57] Speaker 1: Chief Steal, with his large mustache and serious expression, appeared
[1:02] Speaker 1: in the doorway. Sam, we have an emergency at Carol's house,
[1:08] Speaker 1: a missing kitten. Sam and his team knew a fire
[1:12] Speaker 1: was serious, but for a child, losing a pet was
[1:15] Speaker 1: also a major emergency. They quickly put on their gear,
[1:20] Speaker 1: jumped into Jupiter, and turned on the sirens. Upon arriving
[1:24] Speaker 1: at missus Carroll's house, her son, a boy named James,
[1:29] Speaker 1: was very upset. My kitten, Pardo is gone, Sam. James sobbed.
[1:35] Speaker 1: He slipped out right before bedtime. I looked all over
[1:38] Speaker 1: the house and he's not here. Don't worry, James, Sam
[1:43] Speaker 1: said calmly. The pawn a pandy team will handle it. Elvis,
[1:47] Speaker 1: you and Penny check the garden. I'll search inside. The
[1:53] Speaker 1: intrigue began immediately. The team searched and searched inside the house.
[1:59] Speaker 1: Sam looked under beds, behind curtains, and even inside the
[2:03] Speaker 1: laundry basket. Nothing. Sam, no trace in the garden. He
[2:08] Speaker 1: couldn't have gone far, Penny reported. Sam paused to think
[2:13] Speaker 1: Pardo was a very playful and mischievous kitten. James, where
[2:19] Speaker 1: did you last see Pardo? Sam asked. He was playing
[2:23] Speaker 1: with one of my rain boots on the back porch.
[2:25] Speaker 1: James replied. The word boots made a light bulb go
[2:29] Speaker 1: off for Sam. He ran to the back porch. There
[2:33] Speaker 1: were James's two rain boots standing side by side. They
[2:38] Speaker 1: were tall, bright blue rubber boots. Sam approached, knelt down
[2:42] Speaker 1: and noticed something peculiar. One of the boots seemed heavier,
[2:47] Speaker 1: very carefully so as not to scare the potential occupant,
[2:52] Speaker 1: Sam slowly tipped the boot over. Instead of finding mud
[2:56] Speaker 1: or water, Sam saw two big green eyes look looking
[3:00] Speaker 1: up at him fearfully and heard a soft little miow.
[3:04] Speaker 1: There was Pardo. The small curious kitten had decided the
[3:09] Speaker 1: rain boot was the coziest most secret place in pawn
[3:13] Speaker 1: A Pandy for a nap. He had climbed all the
[3:16] Speaker 1: way in and fallen asleep. Sam picked up Pardo, who
[3:20] Speaker 1: woke up with a lazy stretch, and carried him to James.
[3:25] Speaker 1: Pardo James cried, hugging his kitten tight. It looks like
[3:31] Speaker 1: Pardo found a very snug hiding spot, James. Sam smiled,
[3:36] Speaker 1: But next time, tell him to use a bed, not
[3:39] Speaker 1: your boot. Chief Steele wrote in his report, Emergency resolved
[3:45] Speaker 1: cause of the mystery sleepy kitten inside a boot. Sam, Elvis,
[3:51] Speaker 1: and Penny returned to the station in Jupiter. It was
[3:55] Speaker 1: very late now and the stars were shining much brighter.
[4:00] Speaker 1: Sam lay down, feeling happy that once again he had
[4:04] Speaker 1: solved the mystery and helped a friend in need. And
[4:08] Speaker 1: so Fireman Sam drifted off to sleep, dreaming of boots,
[4:13] Speaker 1: kittens and the peaceful town of Pontipande
