## Transcript

[0:00] Speaker 1: Santa Claus and the map of lights in the very
[0:04] Speaker 1: center of the north pole, where the snow is as
[0:07] Speaker 1: fluffy as marshmallows, and the northern lights dance like green
[0:11] Speaker 1: and purple ribbons. The busiest night of the year had arrived.
[0:16] Speaker 1: The workshop was buzzing. Elves were tying the final bows
[0:20] Speaker 1: on bicycles, polishing the wheels of toy trains, and fluffing
[0:25] Speaker 1: up the stuffing and teddy bears. Santa Claus stood by
[0:29] Speaker 1: his magnificent sleigh, checking his list, not once, not twice,
[0:34] Speaker 1: but three times. Ho Ho, Ho, Santa laughed, his belly
[0:40] Speaker 1: shaking like a bowl full of jelly. Everything looks perfect.
[0:45] Speaker 1: The toys are packed, the reindeer are fed, and the
[0:48] Speaker 1: hot cocoa is an a thermis. Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer and
[0:54] Speaker 1: the rest of the team were stomping their hooves excitedly
[0:57] Speaker 1: in the snow. They loved flying, especially on Christmas Eve.
[1:02] Speaker 1: All right, Team Santa shouted as he climbed into the
[1:06] Speaker 1: big red sleigh, Up, up and away. With a jingle
[1:11] Speaker 1: of bells and a woosh of magic dust, the sleigh
[1:15] Speaker 1: lifted off the ground. They soared past the candy cane
[1:19] Speaker 1: striped poles and high above the snowy clouds. The wind
[1:24] Speaker 1: was crisp and cool, and the stars twinkled like tiny diamonds.
[1:29] Speaker 1: For the first few hours, the flight was smooth. They
[1:33] Speaker 1: delivered gifts to the sleepy villages of Australia and the
[1:37] Speaker 1: bustling cities of Japan. But as they flew over the
[1:41] Speaker 1: Great Ocean towards the sleeping towns of Europe, the weather
[1:45] Speaker 1: began to change. A thick gray fog rolled in. It
[1:50] Speaker 1: wasn't just normal fog, it was sticky snow fog. It
[1:54] Speaker 1: was so thick that Santa couldn't see the tips of
[1:57] Speaker 1: his own boots. Rudolph, Santa called, out shine your nose,
[2:02] Speaker 1: as bright as you can. Rudolph pushed with all his might.
[2:07] Speaker 1: His nose glowed a brilliant red, cutting through the darkness.
[2:12] Speaker 1: But even Rudolph's bright light couldn't pierce through the sticky
[2:15] Speaker 1: snow fog. It was too dense. Santa reached into his
[2:20] Speaker 1: pocket for his magical GPS, the Great Polar System, but
[2:24] Speaker 1: the screen just spun in circles. Oh, dear, Santa, whispered,
[2:30] Speaker 1: the magic in the air is too thick. We don't
[2:33] Speaker 1: know which way to go. The children are waiting and
[2:37] Speaker 1: we are lost. The sleigh slowed down, hovering silently in
[2:42] Speaker 1: the gray clouds. The reindeer looked worried. Without a map,
[2:47] Speaker 1: how would they find the houses? Suddenly, Santa remembered something.
[2:52] Speaker 1: He reached into the deepest pocket of his red coat
[2:56] Speaker 1: and pulled out an old, dusty scroll. It was a
[3:00] Speaker 1: map of cities or streets. It was the map of lights.
[3:04] Speaker 1: What is that? Santa asked a small elf named Barnaby,
[3:09] Speaker 1: who had stowed away in the back of the sleigh
[3:11] Speaker 1: to help with the heavy boxes. This, said Santa, unrolling
[3:16] Speaker 1: the glowing parchment, is the most special map of all.
[3:21] Speaker 1: It doesn't show where the houses are, it shows where
[3:24] Speaker 1: the kindness is. Santa pointed to the map. All over
[3:29] Speaker 1: the dark paper, tiny golden lights began to flicker on,
[3:34] Speaker 1: like little stars waking up. Look there, Santa pointed to
[3:38] Speaker 1: a bright golden light beaming from a small town below.
[3:43] Speaker 1: That light is shining because a little boy named Leo
[3:46] Speaker 1: shared his lunch with a friend who forgot his. And
[3:50] Speaker 1: there Santa pointed to another sparkle. That is from a
[3:55] Speaker 1: girl named Mia who helped her grandma baked cookies instead
[3:59] Speaker 1: of playing video games. Santa smiled, his eyes twinkling brighter
[4:04] Speaker 1: than the stars. You see, my friends, kindness creates a
[4:09] Speaker 1: magic light that no fog can ever hide. We don't
[4:13] Speaker 1: need to see the rooftops. We just need to follow
[4:17] Speaker 1: the kindness. Follow the kindness, shouted the reindeer. Together with
[4:23] Speaker 1: new Hope, Rudolph steered the sleigh toward the brightest golden glow.
[4:28] Speaker 1: As they got closer, the sticky snow fog seemed to
[4:32] Speaker 1: melt away. Pushed back by the warmth of the good
[4:35] Speaker 1: deeds below. They landed softly on a roof where the
[4:39] Speaker 1: golden light was strongest. Santa slid down the chimney, left
[4:44] Speaker 1: the gifts, and most importantly, left a note that said
[4:49] Speaker 1: thank you for your light. All night long, the sleigh
[4:53] Speaker 1: zigzagged across the world, jumping from one beam of kindness
[4:58] Speaker 1: to another. The light a child forgiving a sibling, the
[5:02] Speaker 1: glow of a teenager walking a neighbor's dog, the sparkle
[5:06] Speaker 1: of a toddler hugging a sad friend. These lights created
[5:11] Speaker 1: a runway for Santa, guiding him safely around the world.
[5:15] Speaker 1: By the time the sun began to peek over the horizon,
[5:19] Speaker 1: the sleigh was empty of toys, but Santa's heart was full.
[5:24] Speaker 1: They returned to the North Pole just as the fog
[5:27] Speaker 1: cleared completely. We made it, cheered Barnaby the elf. We did,
[5:33] Speaker 1: Santa agreed, patting Rudolph on the nose, but we didn't
[5:37] Speaker 1: do it alone. The children guided us home with their hearts,
[5:42] Speaker 1: and from that night on Santa never worried about the fog.
[5:47] Speaker 1: He knew that as long as there were children being kind,
[5:50] Speaker 1: there would always be a light to guide the way.
[5:53] Speaker 1: The end
