## Transcript

[0:02] Speaker 1: It was a quiet afternoon in Bikini Bottom. The water
[0:06] Speaker 1: was clear and the sun shined brightly through the ocean waves.
[0:11] Speaker 1: But inside the famous Pineapple House, SpongeBob SquarePants was not
[0:15] Speaker 1: smiling his usual big, happy smile. SpongeBob was sitting on
[0:21] Speaker 1: the edge of his bed, looking down at his shiny
[0:24] Speaker 1: black shoes. Today had been a very hard day at
[0:27] Speaker 1: the Crusty Crab. For the first time ever, SpongeBob had
[0:32] Speaker 1: made a mistake. He had accidentally dropped the whole tray
[0:36] Speaker 1: of crabby patties on the floor. Mister Crabs was not angry,
[0:41] Speaker 1: but SpongeBob felt terrible. I am supposed to be the
[0:45] Speaker 1: best fry cook, SpongeBob whispered sadly to his pet Snail.
[0:50] Speaker 1: But today I was just a clumsy sponge Maybe I
[0:54] Speaker 1: am not as good as I thought. Gary slithered over
[0:58] Speaker 1: slowly and rested his head gently on SpongeBob's shoe. Gary
[1:03] Speaker 1: did not judge him. Gary just listened. A few minutes later,
[1:08] Speaker 1: there was a soft knock on the Pineapple door. It
[1:11] Speaker 1: was his best friend, Patrick Star. Patrick walked in and
[1:16] Speaker 1: sat heavily right next to SpongeBob. Why the long square face, buddy,
[1:22] Speaker 1: Patrick asked, looking at his friend with kind eyes. SpongeBob
[1:27] Speaker 1: explained what happened. He talked about the drop food and
[1:31] Speaker 1: how he felt like he had failed. He felt like
[1:34] Speaker 1: a dark cloud was hanging right over his head. Patrick
[1:38] Speaker 1: thought for a moment, he scratched his pink head SpongeBob.
[1:44] Speaker 1: Patrick said, slowly, do you know what happens when I
[1:47] Speaker 1: try to build a sand castle? What happens, SpongeBob asked softly.
[1:54] Speaker 1: It falls down? Patrick smiled, Almost every single time. Sometimes
[2:01] Speaker 1: the ocean waves wash it away. Sometimes I accidentally sit
[2:05] Speaker 1: on it. But you know what the best part is,
[2:09] Speaker 1: SpongeBob shook his head. The best part is that I
[2:13] Speaker 1: get to build it again, Patrick said happily. And every
[2:17] Speaker 1: time I build it, I learn where to put the
[2:20] Speaker 1: shells so it looks even better. Making a mistake does
[2:24] Speaker 1: not mean you are bad at something. It just means
[2:28] Speaker 1: you are learning how to be even better. SpongeBob looked
[2:32] Speaker 1: at Patrick. He thought about the sand castles. He realized
[2:37] Speaker 1: that Patrick was right. Dropping the tray did not mean
[2:41] Speaker 1: he was a bad fry cook. It meant he was
[2:45] Speaker 1: a fry cook who was still learning and growing, and
[2:48] Speaker 1: that was perfectly okay. The heavy feeling in SpongeBob's chest
[2:53] Speaker 1: started to float away, like a small bubble rising up
[2:57] Speaker 1: to the ocean surface. He looked at his hands, the
[3:01] Speaker 1: hands that had made so many people happy with delicious food.
[3:06] Speaker 1: One little mistake could not erase all the good things
[3:09] Speaker 1: he had done. SpongeBob stood up, A small, warm smile
[3:14] Speaker 1: returned to his face. You are right, Patrick, he said.
[3:19] Speaker 1: Tomorrow is a brand new day. I will go back
[3:23] Speaker 1: to the crusty Crab and I will try my best,
[3:26] Speaker 1: and if I make a mistake, I will just learn
[3:29] Speaker 1: from it. Patrick cheered and gave his best friend a
[3:33] Speaker 1: giant tight hug. The Pineapple House felt bright and happy again.
[3:39] Speaker 1: SpongeBob knew that it was okay not to be perfect.
[3:43] Speaker 1: What really mattered was having a good heart, a great friend,
[3:47] Speaker 1: and the courage to try again tomorrow
