[0:01] Speaker 1: We can very well win this thing. I'm a dog
[0:04] Speaker 1: person now. I'm making the f * * * ing merch, baby.
[0:07] Speaker 1: If your dog was sick, I'd say, I'm coming over.
[0:10] Speaker 1: You know, I'd crack open a coconut and eat it
[0:13] Speaker 1: and cheer for you. You're either a survivor or not.
[0:21] Speaker 1: It's not about a million dollars.
[0:24] Speaker 2: All I want to do is win a million hearts.
[0:35] Speaker 1: Boom, boom, boom.
[0:40] Speaker 3: The Making the Merge podcast.
[0:43] Speaker 1: We can very well win this thing.
[0:45] Speaker 3: I'm making the fucking merge, baby.
[0:47] Speaker 1: Big mistake.
[0:51] Speaker 3: I cracked open a coconut and they didn't cheer for me.
[0:54] Speaker 1: I'm pissed. We should add that to the theme song.
[0:57] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[0:58] Speaker 1: We're gonna merge.
[0:59] Speaker 3: Welcome to Making the Merge.
[1:00] Speaker 1: Hearts, hearts, hearts, hearts. Oh, wait, Bonu. Somebody do Bonu. Oh, uh, uh, uh.
[1:05] Speaker 1: I didn't want to win a million dollars. I wanted
[1:08] Speaker 1: to win a million hearts. Hearts, hearts, hearts.
[1:10] Speaker 3: Hearts, hearts, hearts, hearts, hearts. We are going on tour
[1:13] Speaker 3: as an acapella group.
[1:16] Speaker 1: What is our acapella team name? Merge-a-tonics? I like that. Yeah,
[1:21] Speaker 1: I like that, too. Just hear those sleigh bells wrangling, ring-ting-ting-a-ling. Ding-dong, ding-dong.
[1:26] Speaker 1: Just all the lovely widows, they ride together with. Ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong.
[1:33] Speaker 3: So, Bran.
[1:35] Speaker 1: What up, baby?
[1:36] Speaker 3: Bran reportedly yelled at Johnny Fairplay. Do we want to
[1:39] Speaker 3: get into it? He was heckling him. Do we want
[1:41] Speaker 3: to get into it here or later? Okay, so right now?
[1:44] Speaker 1: Sure.
[1:45] Speaker 2: Chase and I had the joy of going to a
[1:48] Speaker 2: Survivor Watch party in Greenville.
[1:50] Speaker 1: Right. Which was very exciting. We've never been to one
[1:52] Speaker 1: in Greenville. No, it was 12 minutes away.
[1:54] Speaker 2: 12 minutes away at the New Realm Brewery downtown, which
[1:57] Speaker 2: I've never been to.
[1:58] Speaker 1: It was really nice. Not a sponsor. It was outside,
[2:02] Speaker 1: which was nice. Big screen.
[2:04] Speaker 2: And uh great and fair play was there with cedric
[2:09] Speaker 2: and and hold on we haven't watched have you ever
[2:12] Speaker 2: seen season 41 i've not seen 41 i went straight
[2:15] Speaker 2: to 42 because uh that was what uh jonathan was
[2:18] Speaker 2: on and i when i was doing my 50 prep
[2:19] Speaker 2: i think his name was kelly no i don't think
[2:22] Speaker 2: and 51 is pretty uh famously bad It's a famously
[2:27] Speaker 2: bad 41.
[2:27] Speaker 1: 51 is famously awesome. Anyway, so we went there. We
[2:33] Speaker 1: watched the show. It was great.
[2:34] Speaker 2: And in between Heather from Charleston, Charles 52, stay at home, mom.
[2:41] Speaker 1: Yep. And in between, um, with commercial breaks, what are
[2:47] Speaker 1: you doing?
[2:47] Speaker 3: I just noticed this.
[2:49] Speaker 1: What are you doing?
[2:51] Speaker 2: Fair play would do really bad trivia. And it was,
[2:54] Speaker 2: he said like, I'm going to ask trivia. I don't
[2:57] Speaker 2: know the answer to these questions. And the whole thing
[2:59] Speaker 2: was like, you could yell at anything. And then he
[3:01] Speaker 2: would give you a picture of somebody that's been autographed.
[3:04] Speaker 2: You know how he goes and. He gets autographs from everybody?
[3:08] Speaker 2: Brand did not get a single one, even though he
[3:10] Speaker 2: was yelling the most.
[3:11] Speaker 1: Well, Chase and I were up. We were up on
[3:14] Speaker 1: the balcony, because honestly, it had a better view. And anytime,
[3:19] Speaker 1: right when commercial break would start, I would just go, trivia!
[3:24] Speaker 1: And he would go, yeah, yeah, we're going to do trivia.
[3:27] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[3:29] Speaker 1: And at one point, he wanted to tell a story
[3:31] Speaker 1: about something that happened in the challenge. And he goes,
[3:34] Speaker 1: real quick, I want to. And then you just hear
[3:36] Speaker 1: Brandon go, trivia! And he goes, yeah, you love trivia.
[3:41] Speaker 1: My favorite moment, though, because Brandon was heckling him all night.
[3:45] Speaker 1: And at one point, and this was a misunderstanding on
[3:47] Speaker 1: my part. We did clarify.
[3:48] Speaker 3: We did clarify.
[3:49] Speaker 1: We did get it clarified. Brandon yells for trivia or something.
[3:53] Speaker 1: And Fairplay goes, that guy's a loser. And he goes, ah, sorry. No,
[3:58] Speaker 1: he's a loser. And I went, oh, he's talking about Brain.
[4:02] Speaker 1: But Brain was like, no, he's talking about Kilby. Because
[4:04] Speaker 1: he was telling a story about Kilby. Yeah. And sure enough,
[4:08] Speaker 1: Fairplay thinks that Kilby's a loser. Yes, we did clarify.
[4:11] Speaker 1: Because we went up to him afterwards and Brain said, hey,
[4:13] Speaker 1: were you calling me a loser? Or were you calling
[4:16] Speaker 1: Kilby a loser? Yeah. And he goes, oh, I was
[4:19] Speaker 1: calling Kilby a loser. And I was like, that's right.
[4:23] Speaker 1: And then he said, pay me $ 50. We bought these shirts. Yes,
[4:26] Speaker 1: they're autographed.
[4:27] Speaker 2: This is robbed icons. And I got to be honest
[4:29] Speaker 2: with you. I don't know what that means. And it's
[4:33] Speaker 2: got a hatch on the shirt.
[4:35] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[4:35] Speaker 2: And I want on the record, I don't think a
[4:36] Speaker 2: hatch was robbed at all. If anything, he stole money.
[4:40] Speaker 2: But also, he was rightfully thrown off the show.
[4:44] Speaker 1: Right. He should not be back. I don't think that
[4:46] Speaker 1: he should.
[4:46] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[4:47] Speaker 1: I want that on the record, even though I'm wearing
[4:49] Speaker 1: this shirt. I think Fair Play is calling them robbed
[4:51] Speaker 1: icons because on All Stars, they were both on All Stars.
[4:54] Speaker 1: Fair Play, Bonaduce fucked up his teeth. Yeah. Classic story.
[5:00] Speaker 1: And so he says that he quit the... Because remember,
[5:02] Speaker 1: he faked it.
[5:02] Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
[5:03] Speaker 1: Faked an injury to get out of the season or whatever.
[5:06] Speaker 1: He quit.
[5:07] Speaker 3: It was his kid, right?
[5:08] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[5:09] Speaker 3: Crying about his kid.
[5:10] Speaker 1: He tells a whole story about that last night. Basically,
[5:12] Speaker 1: they wouldn't let him... Like, they were giving him a
[5:15] Speaker 1: hard time for... quitting because of his teeth.
[5:18] Speaker 2: He like broke his jaw. And so he used, he
[5:20] Speaker 2: was like, I'm not going to, and he didn't want
[5:22] Speaker 2: to give Danny Bonaduce or whatever, whoever it was.
[5:25] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[5:25] Speaker 2: The, uh, the satisfaction of knowing that he kicked him
[5:28] Speaker 2: out of the game. And so he used his kid
[5:30] Speaker 2: as an excuse.
[5:32] Speaker 3: Well, we'll break down all of that on the Johnny
[5:34] Speaker 3: fair play podcast.
[5:35] Speaker 1: Did we, where's the people magazine? There's more? Yes.
[5:40] Speaker 2: We gave Johnny Fairplay cumulatively.
[5:44] Speaker 3: I'm trying to transition into the greatest episode of Survivor
[5:48] Speaker 3: in the past 10 seasons, but let's do a.
[5:50] Speaker 1: Little more Fairplay.
[5:51] Speaker 2: Chase and I are sitting up there, and I say, hey,
[5:53] Speaker 2: after this, we should go and say hi to Fairplay
[5:56] Speaker 2: and get a picture.
[5:58] Speaker 1: And I said, I might buy a shirt.
[5:59] Speaker 2: And Chase said, I'm not going to give him a dollar.
[6:02] Speaker 2: And then proceeds to pay him $ 60.
[6:04] Speaker 3: $ 60.
[6:05] Speaker 1: So, well, this was free. Me and Bran both got
[6:08] Speaker 1: one of these. This is a signed autographed picture of
[6:12] Speaker 1: Fair Play. It says, I never lie. Yeah. We're going to,
[6:15] Speaker 1: we got, there you go. Get a good look at that.
[6:17] Speaker 1: This is actually cool. This is cool. This is a
[6:20] Speaker 1: People Magazine for season 50 autographed by Sugar and Rupert.
[6:26] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[6:27] Speaker 5: And two to three, four other survivors that he did
[6:32] Speaker 5: not say whose autograph they are.
[6:34] Speaker 1: Yeah. But this one has a little 15 beside it,
[6:37] Speaker 1: so I think it's someone from season 15. Okay. I
[6:40] Speaker 1: don't know who that one is, but it has, like,
[6:42] Speaker 1: maybe a 12.
[6:43] Speaker 3: Hey, guys, we have a lot of autographs from who?
[6:46] Speaker 3: No fucking idea.
[6:47] Speaker 1: Wait, this one's from Cedric. This is Cedric, because it
[6:50] Speaker 1: says season 48, and it's got a big C. He
[6:52] Speaker 1: was there last night. Cedric. But we're going to put this.
[6:54] Speaker 1: It's going to be a part of the sets. Yeah,
[6:56] Speaker 1: we're going to frame this. Where is the tree mail?
[6:59] Speaker 5: I haven't framed it yet, but it's going to go
[7:01] Speaker 5: up here, too.
[7:03] Speaker 3: So Johnny Fairplay is essentially... Nothing. Johnny Fairplay is.
[7:07] Speaker 1: Do you want to do it? I don't know how
[7:08] Speaker 1: to do that.
[7:09] Speaker 3: We have a show to do. We'll frame stuff later.
[7:11] Speaker 1: Shut up, Petey. Jason, I had fun and you're jealous.
[7:15] Speaker 1: You got to drunkenly explain your watch party last week. Yeah.
[7:19] Speaker 1: It's our turn. We had a great time. Jason and
[7:21] Speaker 1: I had a great time.
[7:23] Speaker 2: And.
[7:24] Speaker 3: I'm just saying we can work out the framing logistics later.
[7:27] Speaker 3: Let's get into the episode three of season 51.
[7:30] Speaker 1: I mean, if we have to, I guess. Yeah.
[7:33] Speaker 3: Well, it was incredible. Is that all you got to
[7:35] Speaker 3: say about it? It was one of the greatest coconuts
[7:37] Speaker 3: that I've eaten.
[7:39] Speaker 1: It is an amazing episode of television.
[7:41] Speaker 2: And it all starts with Rob being an absolute loser.
[7:46] Speaker 3: Yeah, he does a bit of an MD, if you will.
[7:51] Speaker 1: What's an MD?
[7:52] Speaker 3: Mopey Dingus.
[7:53] Speaker 1: Absolutely Mopey Dingus. Can I explain what happens here? Yeah, please. Well, sure.
[8:00] Speaker 1: Rob comes back. From Tribal. And as we all know,
[8:04] Speaker 1: he tried to write his name down.
[8:05] Speaker 2: He explains the plan, which was basically how we thought
[8:10] Speaker 2: the plan, what we thought.
[8:10] Speaker 1: The plan was, which was he didn't know that Anna
[8:14] Speaker 1: was the target.
[8:15] Speaker 2: He thought that everyone was going to vote for Eric,
[8:17] Speaker 2: as if that ever happens on Survivor, where everybody votes
[8:21] Speaker 2: for the same person.
[8:22] Speaker 1: He thought that everyone was going to vote for Eric,
[8:25] Speaker 1: and so.
[8:25] Speaker 2: That he would write his own name down and then
[8:27] Speaker 2: save Eric so that he would be voted out.
[8:30] Speaker 1: Because somehow... That's better than quitting.
[8:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like we had kind of sussed that
[8:35] Speaker 3: out last week.
[8:36] Speaker 1: So that's what he did. He says that.
[8:39] Speaker 2: He's down on the beach by himself being a total MD.
[8:43] Speaker 1: Mopey dingus. A mopey dingus. Not like Cedric.
[8:45] Speaker 2: And then he proceeds to say, you know, I'm in
[8:49] Speaker 2: a lot of, I'm in some pain.
[8:51] Speaker 1: It's going up to his knee. It's going up to
[8:53] Speaker 1: his knee. He's like, I think it's infected.
[8:55] Speaker 2: I think it's infected. I'm feeling the infection now. Going
[8:59] Speaker 2: up to my knee.
[9:01] Speaker 1: And Linnea gets a moment here on the show where
[9:04] Speaker 1: she goes, he got an infection from last night to now?
[9:08] Speaker 3: They all called him out.
[9:09] Speaker 1: Everybody's calling him out. No one believed him. Everybody's calling him.
[9:12] Speaker 2: So the next day, the doctor and Jeff show up. Yeah.
[9:17] Speaker 2: The doctor looks at the bottom of his foot. He says,
[9:19] Speaker 2: I don't see anything. There's a tiny cut.
[9:22] Speaker 1: Yeah. And he says, is there any way.
[9:27] Speaker 2: That that could get infected. And he says, I mean,
[9:31] Speaker 2: there's always a chance.
[9:33] Speaker 1: Yeah. To which Rob goes, yep, gonna have to go home.
[9:38] Speaker 3: It was like he was trying to talk the doctor
[9:40] Speaker 3: into finding something.
[9:41] Speaker 1: And the look on Jeff's face... The whole time, because.
[9:45] Speaker 2: Jeff knows they gave him the clown at an absolute
[9:49] Speaker 2: clown at it. And I just I can't. And I
[9:53] Speaker 2: am very invested in this because he's my player. And
[9:57] Speaker 2: I have a full team up to this point. I'm
[10:00] Speaker 2: feeling good about myself. And he is just.
[10:03] Speaker 1: Going to go home. Buddy, you quit. You quit the game.
[10:08] Speaker 1: Just be man enough to say you're quitting the game.
[10:11] Speaker 1: It is less.
[10:12] Speaker 2: Manly to find a cop-out so that you feel more
[10:16] Speaker 2: like a man.
[10:17] Speaker 1: You're not a man! You're a wimpy, mopey, dingus.
[10:21] Speaker 3: With a pink substance.
[10:22] Speaker 1: Who quit Survivor. And I just want to say, as
[10:27] Speaker 1: a dad, I understand.
[10:29] Speaker 2: I understand missing your children, which is why I'm not
[10:34] Speaker 2: going on Survivor right now at.
[10:36] Speaker 1: This stage in my life.
[10:37] Speaker 2: Because I got to be honest, this would probably happen
[10:39] Speaker 2: to me. I'd be like, oh my gosh, I've made
[10:41] Speaker 2: a mistake. I missed my children. I'm going to go home.
[10:45] Speaker 1: You have to know that. He did it. He did
[10:47] Speaker 1: the thing. He applied. And then he said, I don't
[10:52] Speaker 1: want to do this anymore.
[10:54] Speaker 2: So he made up a thing about his foot and
[10:57] Speaker 2: infection going up to his leg as if he's going
[11:00] Speaker 2: to have to get.
[11:00] Speaker 1: His leg amputated. Another thing about this is in the preseason,
[11:06] Speaker 1: he said the only reason he applies because his son
[11:08] Speaker 1: said he couldn't do it. And you know what? Your
[11:10] Speaker 1: son was right. Jeff put out his field notes on
[11:15] Speaker 1: Instagram last night. And he talks about this situation with Rob.
[11:19] Speaker 1: He definitely knew that Rob... He basically goes through everything
[11:23] Speaker 1: that Bran just went through. Did he yell it? No,
[11:25] Speaker 1: he went in a lot nicer way.
[11:26] Speaker 3: Was it in all caps?
[11:27] Speaker 2: Yeah. And then he goes, personal observations.
[11:33] Speaker 1: Rob looked and sounded emotionally exhausted, which can happen to
[11:36] Speaker 1: the strongest of humans. Survivor humbles you very quickly and
[11:40] Speaker 1: can get you in a variety of ways. He just
[11:42] Speaker 1: kind of explains, hey, it's very hard.
[11:45] Speaker 2: But then there's this little part that goes, can't help
[11:48] Speaker 2: but also piece this together with the previous tribal council
[11:51] Speaker 2: where it appeared Rob wanted to vote himself out.
[11:54] Speaker 1: In all caps, is there a connection?
[11:58] Speaker 3: So there was all caps. He did yell it. I
[12:00] Speaker 3: feel like Jeff yelled that.
[12:01] Speaker 1: Is there a connection? Like, I don't know, Jeff. Maybe. Yeah.
[12:05] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[12:06] Speaker 1: Sometimes. You make a connection while wearing a tinfoil hat.
[12:11] Speaker 1: This is just reality. It's like, it's, you know, shades
[12:15] Speaker 1: of when Colton faked appendicitis to get off the season.
[12:18] Speaker 1: The difference is, is I think Jeff actually believed Colton
[12:22] Speaker 1: because he brought Colton back. Yes. Where he then quit
[12:25] Speaker 1: a second time and Jeff was.
[12:27] Speaker 2: So if memory serves, he ended up at the time,
[12:32] Speaker 2: Jeff didn't believe him. Right. And then he ended up
[12:35] Speaker 2: actually having an issue. And so they were like, okay,
[12:38] Speaker 2: let's let him come back on.
[12:40] Speaker 1: And then he'd quit. And that's when Jeff blew his
[12:42] Speaker 1: fucking lid. But his, his, his fiance at the time,
[12:45] Speaker 1: I believe. Yeah, boyfriend or fiance. Was awesome. Yeah, he
[12:49] Speaker 1: was awesome. He's dead now. Then he died. Yeah, he's
[12:51] Speaker 1: dead now. Right afterwards. Crazy.
[12:52] Speaker 3: But let's talk about the worst survivor player in the
[12:55] Speaker 3: history of forever who received, that's what Carter called himself
[12:59] Speaker 3: at the very beginning of the episode. So Carter receives
[13:02] Speaker 3: the idol from your boy Rob.
[13:04] Speaker 1: So was it all worth it?
[13:06] Speaker 2: Was it all worth it for me to let a
[13:09] Speaker 2: player that I am significantly higher on.
[13:12] Speaker 1: Carter. Are you still? Since I am still higher on him,
[13:16] Speaker 1: I did draft him second. Carter's in a.
[13:18] Speaker 3: Good spot at the end of this episode. Carter is
[13:20] Speaker 3: a comedy character.
[13:21] Speaker 1: He's a comedy character. He's awesome. He's a caricature. He's
[13:24] Speaker 1: a cartoon, whatever you want to call him. I love him.
[13:26] Speaker 1: And so if it took one.
[13:29] Speaker 2: Of my players, who I wasn't very high on, and
[13:31] Speaker 2: honestly drafted him for comedy purposes.
[13:34] Speaker 1: Pink Sun!
[13:36] Speaker 3: It was your last pick.
[13:37] Speaker 2: Leaves the game and gives a player that I'm a
[13:40] Speaker 2: lot higher on an idol.
[13:42] Speaker 1: That's worth it. Thanks, bud. It's a sacrifice. Thank you.
[13:45] Speaker 1: Looking out for team brand. I want to.
[13:48] Speaker 3: I wish I had the audio, but I want to
[13:50] Speaker 3: play where Bram was laying out how Rob could turn
[13:52] Speaker 3: it around this week.
[13:53] Speaker 1: God, I tried. I did more work for your game
[13:59] Speaker 1: than you did on the island.
[14:01] Speaker 2: I tried everything I could to figure out a way
[14:03] Speaker 2: where this guy could spin it.
[14:05] Speaker 1: He didn't even try. No, he wanted to go home,
[14:07] Speaker 1: which I, two weeks in a row. Two weeks in
[14:11] Speaker 1: a row. Two weeks in a row. Tell me about it, Tyson.
[14:14] Speaker 1: I did predict who went home. No, I didn't predict
[14:16] Speaker 1: who went home at Tribal this episode.
[14:18] Speaker 3: What about Wenea? I thought at the beginning of the episode, Wenea,
[14:23] Speaker 3: she called out Carter, but she also called out Ori.
[14:26] Speaker 3: So it was like she was keeping up the secret
[14:28] Speaker 3: alliance thing in front of everybody. Yeah, that has yet
[14:29] Speaker 3: to be revealed in the edit.
[14:31] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I wonder if this is like... Maybe they
[14:33] Speaker 1: just made that up. What is it? Revisionist history?
[14:36] Speaker 3: Maybe.
[14:36] Speaker 1: It could be. Like they really like each other now.
[14:38] Speaker 3: And we're just going to keep repeating that and then
[14:40] Speaker 3: we're going to find out.
[14:40] Speaker 1: Guys, it's going to pay off big.
[14:43] Speaker 3: Linnea told us, okay?
[14:47] Speaker 1: Also, one last thing about Rob, now that we're talking
[14:49] Speaker 1: about Linnea. So last week we were at Linnea's watch
[14:52] Speaker 1: party in Manhattan, well, Jersey City.
[14:54] Speaker 3: Lots of partying for this group lately.
[14:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know us, man. We're rock stars. But every
[14:59] Speaker 1: time Rob came up at that watch party, you could
[15:03] Speaker 1: see that Ori, Linnea, and Lewis had it. hated that
[15:06] Speaker 1: guy and then now it's because he quit they got
[15:10] Speaker 1: on the mic and shit on him too it's because
[15:12] Speaker 1: he quit and what's even worse is all week long
[15:17] Speaker 1: this loser goes on social.
[15:20] Speaker 2: Media and goes wait till you see the whole story.
[15:23] Speaker 6: Because the whole story's out and it's even worse than
[15:27] Speaker 6: we thought.
[15:28] Speaker 3: What does he mean? How could you possibly spin this?
[15:31] Speaker 2: Unless he posts tomorrow that he did get his leg
[15:35] Speaker 2: cut off. No.
[15:37] Speaker 1: Mike Bloom has posted the post interview, and he is staying.
[15:42] Speaker 1: He calls all the Survivor superfan nerds that don't understand
[15:45] Speaker 1: what it's like out there because his leg was actually
[15:48] Speaker 1: terribly hurt. He thought that when the scene came out
[15:51] Speaker 1: that he was afraid of the infected leg, that everyone
[15:54] Speaker 1: was going to be like, oh, poor baby. Your leg
[15:56] Speaker 1: was hurt. He didn't quit. But we all know the truth.
[16:00] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[16:00] Speaker 1: We all know the truth.
[16:01] Speaker 3: Wow.
[16:02] Speaker 1: So he's saying that the edit is making it look
[16:05] Speaker 1: like that? I didn't get to watch the full thing,
[16:06] Speaker 1: but there was just a clip that Mike Bloom posted
[16:08] Speaker 1: on Instagram that he was like, what these Survivor Superfans don't.
[16:11] Speaker 3: Know is that when you take a pink substance on
[16:14] Speaker 3: the beach, your leg can get infected, okay?
[16:17] Speaker 1: And then Shane Powers is like, no, I took all
[16:19] Speaker 1: the substances on the beach. I got all my limbs somehow. Yeah.
[16:23] Speaker 1: I'm really glad this happened to Bran because of the passion.
[16:26] Speaker 3: I feel like if it was one of our players,
[16:28] Speaker 3: there wouldn't be as much passion.
[16:29] Speaker 1: What do you mean? What makes me mad... Like.
[16:31] Speaker 3: If one of our guys quit, it's his player.
[16:34] Speaker 1: What makes me mad is I feel so good about
[16:37] Speaker 1: my team. Yeah, you have a good team. And this
[16:39] Speaker 1: is how I lose my first player. And then for...
[16:43] Speaker 1: the next.
[16:44] Speaker 2: 75, 80% of this episode, I'm worried I'm going to
[16:47] Speaker 2: lose a second player in one week.
[16:49] Speaker 1: So I was very concerned. And then you would have
[16:51] Speaker 1: been tied with PD. I know. And I don't want that.
[16:54] Speaker 1: It was super embarrassing, but now me and Brandon are
[16:56] Speaker 1: still in the lead. Yeah.
[16:58] Speaker 2: I mean, I'm the only, I'm the only person who
[17:00] Speaker 2: hasn't truly lost a player.
[17:03] Speaker 1: He's a quitter.
[17:05] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[17:05] Speaker 1: He's quick.
[17:06] Speaker 3: I think it's worse. It's like the, yeah, no, you
[17:09] Speaker 3: truly lost him in the worst way possible.
[17:11] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[17:12] Speaker 3: Yeah. Let's move over to the yellow tribe.
[17:15] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[17:15] Speaker 3: Lewis, the beautiful lesbian. He's feeling a bit lost. Not
[17:19] Speaker 3: having a number one. I don't know. Not having a
[17:22] Speaker 3: number one.
[17:22] Speaker 1: It's a tick mass.
[17:24] Speaker 3: He's trying to get in with Devin. He loves it
[17:25] Speaker 3: when you say it. He's trying to get in with
[17:27] Speaker 3: Brady Brody. This is where we find out that Devin
[17:31] Speaker 3: thinks Kilby is a rat. And on the flip side,
[17:33] Speaker 3: Kilby sees Devin as a threat to his control of
[17:36] Speaker 3: the game. I did not realize he had that.
[17:39] Speaker 1: He kind of does. I'll say this.
[17:41] Speaker 2: The good news is there's no possible way that Devin
[17:46] Speaker 2: singles out somebody and misses it again, right?
[17:49] Speaker 1: Yeah. I think he's going to keep doing it until
[17:50] Speaker 1: he gets voted out. It's amazing. It's amazing his horrible accuracy.
[17:57] Speaker 1: at finding the person. He was on the wrong side
[17:59] Speaker 1: of the votes again.
[18:01] Speaker 2: I've never seen someone... Which makes me very concerned for
[18:03] Speaker 2: my girl, Jelly. I'll be honest with you. This is
[18:07] Speaker 2: guilty by association. This is why your parents talk to
[18:10] Speaker 2: you about the friends that you hang out with. When
[18:13] Speaker 2: you hang out with Devin, he pulls you down. Even
[18:16] Speaker 2: though Jelly's clearly amazing.
[18:18] Speaker 1: I've never seen someone get the edit of the person
[18:21] Speaker 1: in control of the tribe and then consistently be wrong.
[18:25] Speaker 1: I love it. I think it's awesome.
[18:26] Speaker 3: And so Kilby's move here is openly shitting on both
[18:29] Speaker 3: Devin and Brady. And it backfires because Kilby tells Pantless
[18:33] Speaker 3: Pat that Brady Brody is like playing a video game
[18:37] Speaker 3: with your little brother and the controller is unplugged.
[18:40] Speaker 1: And when he said that... It was like the most
[18:43] Speaker 1: devastating thing that could ever have been heard. Cause he
[18:45] Speaker 1: was talking to Pat and Pat was just like, she
[18:49] Speaker 1: just like stood in shock. Like he just called him
[18:50] Speaker 1: like a slur or something. He was like, she was like,
[18:53] Speaker 1: Oh my God. Yeah. Well, she's not going to run
[18:56] Speaker 1: over and tell him.
[18:57] Speaker 3: Oh, turns out she did that. And then Brady Brody,
[19:02] Speaker 3: Brady Brody looks so sad. Cause it is a really
[19:04] Speaker 3: mean thing to say about somebody. It's like, Hey, you're
[19:07] Speaker 3: a fucking idiot.
[19:08] Speaker 1: He said, wait, this is what made me laugh, though,
[19:11] Speaker 1: is Brady goes, oh, so I'm just a fucking idiot
[19:14] Speaker 1: in this game? And then he goes, because I'm confused.
[19:16] Speaker 1: And that was the end of his sentence.
[19:19] Speaker 3: Then next up, we get a really exciting development. Survivors back, baby.
[19:24] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
[19:25] Speaker 3: Each tribe must choose a representative to visit the opposing tribe.
[19:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought this might be where they go and
[19:32] Speaker 1: they steal stuff. Yeah. Well, one tribe does steal stuff.
[19:37] Speaker 1: That's true.
[19:38] Speaker 3: Carter gets chosen for purple and Alexis is not pleased
[19:41] Speaker 3: about this.
[19:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, because the Carter's like the odd man out here
[19:47] Speaker 2: on this tribe, like people are kind of like.
[19:49] Speaker 1: Well, whatever.
[19:50] Speaker 3: You know?
[19:51] Speaker 2: And so, but unfortunately for them, they decide the way
[19:53] Speaker 2: that they're going to pick the person to go is
[19:55] Speaker 2: with the drawing of the shot in the dark.
[19:59] Speaker 1: And there he goes.
[20:01] Speaker 3: And, but they all tried to volunteer.
[20:03] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[20:04] Speaker 3: And Carter got chosen. but there's a difference on the
[20:06] Speaker 3: yellow tribe. Nobody volunteered. Devin just shot his hand up
[20:10] Speaker 3: and they're like, okay, if you want to do it,
[20:12] Speaker 3: I mean like we're afraid you're going to be too honest,
[20:13] Speaker 3: but go do it.
[20:16] Speaker 1: He calls his radical honesty something. He goes weaponized honesty
[20:20] Speaker 1: in this episode. And I was like, it's getting worse.
[20:22] Speaker 3: I think he floated weaponized like once last week, but
[20:24] Speaker 3: now he's like really honed in on it this week.
[20:26] Speaker 1: It's like, how many adjectives can you give honesty? Yeah.
[20:30] Speaker 3: And as if this wasn't... Terrorist honesty.
[20:32] Speaker 1: I was literally about to say... Terrorist?
[20:34] Speaker 3: Terrorist honesty.
[20:34] Speaker 1: That's where y'all both went? He's gonna keep going. It's
[20:37] Speaker 1: gonna keep getting worse.
[20:38] Speaker 3: Nuclear honesty.
[20:38] Speaker 1: Nuclear honesty. Kamikaze honesty. Kamik honesty. School shooter honesty. Active
[20:47] Speaker 1: shooter honesty. The confession of, he's like, we got an
[20:51] Speaker 1: active shooter on the beach, and it's me. With my honesty.
[20:55] Speaker 1: And scene.
[20:57] Speaker 5: What?
[20:58] Speaker 1: Why are you being Mr. Killjoy today?
[21:00] Speaker 3: You keep wanting to reign us in. That was the good,
[21:02] Speaker 3: that was like the ending.
[21:04] Speaker 1: You keep trying to reign in our chaos, man.
[21:07] Speaker 3: Because Brandon, a pink substance on.
[21:09] Speaker 1: The way here.
[21:09] Speaker 3: That's right.
[21:11] Speaker 1: My bad. I'm mad! We got a message from a
[21:16] Speaker 1: fan last week, and the message was, I miss when
[21:19] Speaker 1: this show was fun bits, because we got a lot
[21:21] Speaker 1: of heat last week. But one person was like, he
[21:24] Speaker 1: sent a giant paragraph, and they were like, I miss
[21:25] Speaker 1: when this show was fun bits and you guys being friends.
[21:29] Speaker 1: And so I think Brad is bringing the right energy
[21:31] Speaker 1: this week.
[21:31] Speaker 3: Okay. Well, as if this wasn't a big enough twist already,
[21:36] Speaker 3: Carter and Devin have the opportunity to find an advantage,
[21:39] Speaker 3: and if their heart desires, They can just leave their
[21:42] Speaker 3: original tribe.
[21:43] Speaker 1: It's a mutiny. It's a mutiny. God, it was awesome.
[21:45] Speaker 1: Which I was thinking back over... Listen, this is open era. Yeah,
[21:49] Speaker 1: this is open era.
[21:49] Speaker 2: And the only time I can think of this happening
[21:53] Speaker 2: is Penner. Do you remember Penner doing this?
[21:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, in Cook Islands. In Cook Islands, he did this.
[21:58] Speaker 1: Has anyone else taken them up on the.
[22:02] Speaker 1: I can look into it. Not that I remember. The
[22:05] Speaker 1: big one, of course, is when Penner does it. Because
[22:06] Speaker 1: then Ozzy looks at him and goes, mutiners are the
[22:10] Speaker 1: first to die.
[22:10] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[22:11] Speaker 1: It was a pretty baller line from Ozzy.
[22:12] Speaker 3: It makes you pretty unpopular with the people you left.
[22:15] Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah.
[22:16] Speaker 2: So Devin is like, I'm probably not going to do that. But,
[22:19] Speaker 2: you know, if it looks really nice over there, I'll stay.
[22:22] Speaker 2: And then he walks up and sees the camp. And
[22:25] Speaker 2: he's just like, I think I'm going to be going
[22:26] Speaker 2: back to my home. He calls it the ghetto.
[22:28] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[22:29] Speaker 1: It's tough. Okay, so there's only three people in the history.
[22:33] Speaker 1: Candice from Cook Islands, Penner from Cook Islands, and then
[22:37] Speaker 1: now Carter. Wow. That's crazy. And it was an accident.
[22:43] Speaker 3: So Devin gets over there, and then something really exciting
[22:45] Speaker 3: for me happens. Sharonda asks Devin if he wants... I
[22:50] Speaker 3: keep wanting to say Rick Devin.
[22:52] Speaker 1: That's fine.
[22:53] Speaker 3: Okay, so Sharonda asks Rick Devin if he wants to
[22:57] Speaker 3: go to some 101s. Because she wants to know if
[22:59] Speaker 3: they've still got the helicopter thing going on. And yeah,
[23:03] Speaker 3: it's still going on because Devin gets Sharonda to the
[23:05] Speaker 3: water well and they immediately start looking for it. And
[23:08] Speaker 3: then Devin gets it. And now Devin has an extra vote.
[23:11] Speaker 1: Someone in the Patreon chat last night. pointed out that
[23:16] Speaker 1: the name of their alliance, the Helicopter Alliance, was they
[23:19] Speaker 1: were just like, all right, we need a name for
[23:20] Speaker 1: our alliance. And then the helicopter showed up and they
[23:22] Speaker 1: were like, Helicopter Alliance?
[23:24] Speaker 3: What better name?
[23:24] Speaker 1: What better name? I mean, pretty good. Pretty good alliance name.
[23:28] Speaker 2: I will say also in thinking about it, the water
[23:31] Speaker 2: well advantage is significantly harder to get because than the
[23:36] Speaker 2: oar advantage, because the water well advantage, Devin had to
[23:41] Speaker 2: go with someone to the water well, because why else
[23:45] Speaker 2: would he ever be by their water, right? He has
[23:48] Speaker 2: to get water, but someone would have to go with him.
[23:49] Speaker 2: And you don't know where it is necessarily, yeah. Yeah,
[23:51] Speaker 2: someone would have to go with him to show him
[23:53] Speaker 2: where it is. But Carter walks right by the boat
[23:57] Speaker 2: and the two oars.
[23:58] Speaker 1: Right. He could have.
[24:01] Speaker 2: gotten the advantage from the oar on the way in
[24:04] Speaker 2: but no one would have known.
[24:05] Speaker 3: He just got there he wanted to have a little
[24:07] Speaker 3: fun you know talk to some people.
[24:09] Speaker 1: You can't be suspicious and be busting up their oars yeah.
[24:12] Speaker 3: So going into this you know uh i don't know if.
[24:15] Speaker 1: You needed to bust open the oar that's.
[24:18] Speaker 3: Yeah that's a good point so we have carter it
[24:21] Speaker 3: it didn't go as well for carter as it did
[24:23] Speaker 3: for devin Why, PD? Because Carter, you know, like going
[24:28] Speaker 3: into the situation, it was looking really good for Carter.
[24:31] Speaker 1: I want you to know how happy I was feeling.
[24:33] Speaker 2: My guy Carter, who was on the bottom, gets an
[24:36] Speaker 2: idol and a chance to go to a new tribe,
[24:39] Speaker 2: a tribe.
[24:40] Speaker 1: That he seems to be gelling with pretty good. They're
[24:42] Speaker 1: laughing at his jokes. They're having a good time. i'm
[24:46] Speaker 1: like good he's gonna mutiny he's.
[24:49] Speaker 2: Got an idol you have a better shelter he's gonna
[24:51] Speaker 2: get an advantage my guy has it all going.
[24:55] Speaker 1: For him this is great news for me.
[24:57] Speaker 3: I'm feeling great it would have worked out if it
[24:59] Speaker 3: wasn't for a cheeky irish bastard.
[25:02] Speaker 1: It's open the bag open the bag.
[25:04] Speaker 3: Yeah the look that he that he gave uh was
[25:06] Speaker 3: it brady and then he looks at the bag and he's.
[25:09] Speaker 1: Like should we open the bag And Brady was excited
[25:12] Speaker 1: over the mic. He said, yeah, Brody!
[25:14] Speaker 3: Because Carter's over there talking to Mike, and they go
[25:18] Speaker 3: through it. I mean, it's not going to be right
[25:20] Speaker 3: on top, right? The beads, like, poking out of the back.
[25:24] Speaker 2: The thing that I am thankful for is that it
[25:28] Speaker 2: was the advantage thing on top and not the idol.
[25:31] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[25:31] Speaker 1: Because that would have been a disaster.
[25:33] Speaker 2: That would have been a true disaster.
[25:35] Speaker 3: So they figure out what's going on. Brady just, he
[25:38] Speaker 3: grabs an axe. He's going to work like a crazy person.
[25:42] Speaker 3: And then Brady finds Maggie, who's trying to get it herself.
[25:47] Speaker 3: And since Brady and Maggie both belong to you, Chase. Yeah.
[25:51] Speaker 3: You want to talk about how this went?
[25:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was so weird because Maggie knew immediately like
[25:56] Speaker 1: they both knew what they were doing. And Maggie goes,
[26:00] Speaker 1: but I want it because Brady goes here, let me
[26:02] Speaker 1: help you bust that open because she wasn't going to
[26:04] Speaker 1: because she couldn't do it. And she's like, yeah, but
[26:08] Speaker 1: I want it. And he goes, well, we'll share it.
[26:10] Speaker 1: And she goes, no, but I want. And then he
[26:12] Speaker 1: just busts open their oars. Nothing in there. Finally, they
[26:16] Speaker 1: get it. And just like how Maggie knew it was
[26:18] Speaker 1: going to happen, Brady just takes it for himself. And
[26:22] Speaker 1: she looks so sad. Well, yeah. I mean, what was
[26:24] Speaker 1: she supposed to do, though? He kind of overpowered her
[26:27] Speaker 1: in that situation. But Maggie just goes, I feel like
[26:30] Speaker 1: I've made a big mistake out loud. And he goes, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[26:33] Speaker 1: This is us together. I'm not going to let you
[26:35] Speaker 1: go out. I promise. And then he pinky promises, which
[26:37] Speaker 1: is a theme of this episode is the pinky promise.
[26:40] Speaker 1: There's pinky promises flying around left and right, including an
[26:44] Speaker 1: awesome shot that we get in this episode that the
[26:46] Speaker 1: editors did where you see someone pinky promising. And it's Tanan.
[26:53] Speaker 1: Tanan is pinky promising.
[26:54] Speaker 5: Tanan.
[26:55] Speaker 1: Tanan. Q-tanon. Q-tanon.
[26:58] Speaker 4: No.
[26:59] Speaker 1: That's what Johnny Fairplay said last time.
[27:01] Speaker 3: We're not doing that.
[27:02] Speaker 1: And then the trivia question from Johnny Fairplay for that was,
[27:05] Speaker 1: who here knows what Q-anon is? And everyone raised their
[27:08] Speaker 1: head except for this kid. And he goes, you should
[27:10] Speaker 1: go down that rabbit hole, kid. And then gives him
[27:11] Speaker 1: the autograph.
[27:12] Speaker 3: Of course, the whole Johnny Fairplay crowd knew what Q-anon was.
[27:15] Speaker 1: But they jump cut from Tanan pinky promising someone and
[27:21] Speaker 1: then immediately pinky promising someone else and telling them the
[27:24] Speaker 1: information that she just pinky promised she wouldn't. It was awesome.
[27:27] Speaker 3: Yeah, it was great. I think overall really bad episode
[27:31] Speaker 3: for Brody Brady too. Like this moment.
[27:33] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[27:34] Speaker 4: Really?
[27:34] Speaker 3: Go rewatch the tribal scramble and him just being so
[27:37] Speaker 3: confidently wrong for like 15 minutes.
[27:40] Speaker 1: Oh, I actually thought that he was playing a pretty
[27:42] Speaker 1: good game here. He's playing both sides.
[27:44] Speaker 2: He does play the middle okay. The problem is he's
[27:48] Speaker 2: just on the wrong side of it.
[27:49] Speaker 1: At the end of the vote. And so we'll see
[27:52] Speaker 1: how he handles that next week.
[27:54] Speaker 3: Edit-wise, personality-wise, he's given us a lot. So now we
[27:58] Speaker 3: go back to Carter, who is blissfully unaware of Oh, wait, no, Devin.
[28:04] Speaker 3: I want to talk about Devin a little bit. Because
[28:05] Speaker 3: Devin's not done.
[28:06] Speaker 1: Devin's not done.
[28:07] Speaker 3: He's out there using his weaponized honesty, and he throws
[28:11] Speaker 3: Kilby under the bus to the entire Savu tribe. And
[28:14] Speaker 3: I'm really glad that Bran rejected that trade, because now
[28:18] Speaker 3: I don't have to have Kilby on my team.
[28:19] Speaker 1: I almost took Rob. After this episode, you don't want
[28:23] Speaker 1: Kilby on your team? No. Kilby dominated the vote, dude.
[28:28] Speaker 3: He did, but I just, I don't see it lasting long.
[28:31] Speaker 1: You don't like him? You don't like him? Yeah. It
[28:33] Speaker 1: was less Kilby dominating the vote and more.
[28:35] Speaker 2: It was.
[28:36] Speaker 3: Tannan off the top rope.
[28:38] Speaker 4: No.
[28:38] Speaker 1: No, it wasn't.
[28:40] Speaker 3: Tannan had the fucking idea.
[28:41] Speaker 5: No.
[28:41] Speaker 1: Did you watch the episode? What are you talking about?
[28:44] Speaker 1: Kilby literally is the one who was like, no, Tannan, well,
[28:48] Speaker 1: he was wrong, but he was like, Brady is on,
[28:50] Speaker 1: he's my number one. He's not... They're number one. He's
[28:54] Speaker 1: not Pat's number one.
[28:55] Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, without, without my
[28:58] Speaker 2: boy Carter and Lewis, none of this happens.
[29:01] Speaker 3: I'd like to be watching the same thing. Cause I
[29:03] Speaker 3: swear to God to non is the one who had
[29:05] Speaker 3: the idea to get pants as Pat. And then she
[29:06] Speaker 3: went home.
[29:07] Speaker 1: To not on your team. Yes. You're full Q to non.
[29:10] Speaker 1: Just like how old girl was the main character of
[29:14] Speaker 1: the season. Y'all are insane.
[29:16] Speaker 3: Kilby's like, Brady's my number one, which is wrong.
[29:19] Speaker 1: Right, he was wrong.
[29:20] Speaker 3: And then Tanan has the fucking idea.
[29:22] Speaker 1: To do what?
[29:23] Speaker 3: To get pantsless Pat. Okay, we'll get into it later,
[29:25] Speaker 3: because that's like way later in the episode. I don't
[29:27] Speaker 3: think this happens without Kilby. That's what I'll say. Nobody
[29:30] Speaker 3: said Pat before Tanan, and then she went home.
[29:34] Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. I guess so. Are you sure
[29:37] Speaker 1: about that? I don't feel great about this.
[29:39] Speaker 3: You were at a fair play watch party. I watched
[29:43] Speaker 3: this with headphones. I think I got it.
[29:46] Speaker 1: I don't know if that changes anything.
[29:48] Speaker 3: I think it does.
[29:50] Speaker 1: We see what you're saying, but I don't think that
[29:52] Speaker 1: that is the... I don't think she decided who went home.
[29:55] Speaker 3: Well, she told everyone we should do it, and then
[29:57] Speaker 3: they did it.
[29:58] Speaker 1: Yeah, but just because she floated the idea doesn't mean
[30:00] Speaker 1: that she was the one that drove the vote. I
[30:02] Speaker 1: like Tanan. I think she did great. I just don't
[30:04] Speaker 1: know if it was. I think Kilby might have won.
[30:06] Speaker 3: Okay, well, I'll rewatch this together.
[30:08] Speaker 1: I don't think Kilby did. I think it's Carter. I
[30:10] Speaker 1: think it's Carter and Lewis. Carter and Lewis. It's Carter
[30:13] Speaker 1: and Lewis. They were the.
[30:15] Speaker 3: Swingers, but Tanan was the one who threw Pat's name out.
[30:21] Speaker 1: I think.
[30:22] Speaker 5: I don't know.
[30:22] Speaker 1: We'll talk about it. We'll talk about it.
[30:25] Speaker 3: It's like, did either of us watch the same thing?
[30:27] Speaker 3: I think we all got different feeds. No, we were all.
[30:30] Speaker 1: I mean, hey... We all want to give credit to
[30:31] Speaker 1: our players? Well, no. I do think Brands, Wright, and
[30:35] Speaker 1: Carter and Lewis were the deciding factors.
[30:37] Speaker 3: They were the swingers.
[30:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, they were the swing vote. But I don't even
[30:40] Speaker 1: know what to say about it. So let's just move on.
[30:42] Speaker 2: There were multiple names thrown out. And ultimately it was
[30:45] Speaker 2: Carter and Lewis who decided. Yes, they did decide.
[30:47] Speaker 1: Who they were going to go for. Right. And they
[30:49] Speaker 1: decided who went home. Yes. So what's more important? Being
[30:52] Speaker 1: the first one to throw out a name or being
[30:54] Speaker 1: the ones that decide to do it? Because they could
[30:56] Speaker 1: have flipped the other side and sent.
[30:58] Speaker 2: Because Pat was thrown out there. Devin at one point
[31:01] Speaker 2: was thrown out there. He was too splashy of a move.
[31:03] Speaker 2: So we're not going to do that.
[31:05] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[31:06] Speaker 3: We'll argue about this in like 30 minutes.
[31:07] Speaker 1: Okay.
[31:09] Speaker 3: So now we go back to Carter, who has no
[31:11] Speaker 3: idea about the whole running around with an axe and
[31:13] Speaker 3: stealing his advantage thing that just happened.
[31:15] Speaker 1: Carter's doing his one-on-ones.
[31:17] Speaker 3: Brady Brody, despite stealing Carter's advantage and being lied to
[31:20] Speaker 3: by Carter about the advantage, Brady Brody loves Carter.
[31:25] Speaker 2: Honestly, I really like his approach here. Because what happens
[31:31] Speaker 2: is he really likes Carter.
[31:32] Speaker 5: Yes.
[31:33] Speaker 2: He then says like, hey, did basically like gives him
[31:37] Speaker 2: the opportunity to come clean about the advantage opportunity.
[31:41] Speaker 1: And he doesn't. Right.
[31:42] Speaker 3: And he's like, oh, my God.
[31:43] Speaker 1: But in in the confessional, he goes, you know what?
[31:47] Speaker 1: I don't blame him. I wouldn't have told me either.
[31:49] Speaker 2: And I like I appreciate the level headedness there.
[31:54] Speaker 1: Because Devin would have gone scorched earth. 100%.
[31:57] Speaker 2: Brody is surprisingly level-headed in this moment.
[32:03] Speaker 1: Where he's like, I can still work with Carter even
[32:04] Speaker 1: though he's not being honest with me. And it's the
[32:05] Speaker 1: same thing that happened two weeks ago with Devin. Like,
[32:08] Speaker 1: me and Devin are on opposite sides of the vote.
[32:11] Speaker 1: I can still work with him. Yeah. Like, he weirdly...
[32:14] Speaker 1: Is an open fella. Yes.
[32:16] Speaker 3: My take on it was like, this guy is insane.
[32:18] Speaker 3: Nobody else would have this reaction. Like, everybody else would
[32:21] Speaker 3: be like, oh, you lied to me.
[32:23] Speaker 1: You're done. He's like, oh, you lied. I lie, too.
[32:25] Speaker 3: We're both liars.
[32:27] Speaker 1: I think it's lovely. I think you have to have
[32:29] Speaker 1: a level of.
[32:30] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[32:30] Speaker 1: Like, you have to have a short-term memory. Because what
[32:32] Speaker 1: you guys don't understand at home is... That Brady loves
[32:36] Speaker 1: Carter because he reminds him of the Brody's he battled
[32:39] Speaker 1: in pads with.
[32:39] Speaker 2: Dude, he says Brody so many times in this confessional.
[32:42] Speaker 2: I love a man with a catchphrase. I need a
[32:44] Speaker 2: Brody count. I need like how many times does he
[32:46] Speaker 2: say Brody?
[32:47] Speaker 1: He said Brody more times than Rizzo said Riz God.
[32:50] Speaker 1: That's for sure. I think you might be right. Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
[32:55] Speaker 3: That's the bell.
[32:56] Speaker 4: Carter.
[32:58] Speaker 3: Carter hears the bell. And he's like, oh, no, I
[33:02] Speaker 3: never looked for my advantage.
[33:04] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[33:04] Speaker 3: Got to go try to find that real quick. And
[33:07] Speaker 3: then he assumes that the reason that he can't find
[33:09] Speaker 3: it is just his fault for not looking earlier.
[33:12] Speaker 1: Poor guy.
[33:12] Speaker 3: He doesn't realize everybody just stole it from him.
[33:15] Speaker 1: Poor guy.
[33:16] Speaker 3: And then before he can make it back to the boat,
[33:18] Speaker 3: it's gone. He's stuck.
[33:21] Speaker 1: Yeah. When this happened, did you talk about what the
[33:25] Speaker 1: advantage was? Because Devin got it, which is the extra vote. Yeah.
[33:28] Speaker 1: So he would have got an extra vote. But when
[33:31] Speaker 1: this happened, Bran goes, oh, the boat just leaves without
[33:33] Speaker 1: giving you a warning? And I said, well, it rang
[33:35] Speaker 1: a bell. That was the warning.
[33:38] Speaker 3: I do think there should be like.
[33:39] Speaker 1: Ding, ding, ding, ding. The driver can see him. He
[33:43] Speaker 1: sees him frantically looking around, picturing.
[33:49] Speaker 1: Sorry, kid.
[33:50] Speaker 3: There was probably a time.
[33:51] Speaker 1: You didn't go. You didn't go last morning. No, I
[33:54] Speaker 1: think like that. Jeff probably told him ring the bell
[33:57] Speaker 1: in your head. Count to 30 Mississippi's and then leave. Great.
[34:01] Speaker 1: Made for great TV.
[34:02] Speaker 2: It was so funny when he's looking around and in
[34:04] Speaker 2: the distance, you see the boat leaving.
[34:07] Speaker 1: So funny. Here's what I'll say. This could be one
[34:10] Speaker 1: of those things that changed the game. Carter goes back home.
[34:16] Speaker 1: He could be the next one voted out. Yeah. Carter
[34:18] Speaker 1: accidentally got stuck here. If Carter wins this game, I'm
[34:22] Speaker 1: not saying he necessarily will, but if he wins, it's
[34:25] Speaker 1: because he missed his boat.
[34:28] Speaker 3: Figuratively and literally.
[34:30] Speaker 2: Yeah. And what's so funny is when he makes it
[34:32] Speaker 2: back to camp, he says the, the boat driver, whatever
[34:37] Speaker 2: told me I had to stay. Yeah.
[34:40] Speaker 1: Which was an interesting thing to say. Yeah, that was weird.
[34:43] Speaker 1: No one really questions it. But they read the note.
[34:46] Speaker 1: They knew what was up. So they think that he
[34:49] Speaker 1: just chose to stay and that he was being like, yeah,
[34:52] Speaker 1: I was forced to stay. Which I think makes him
[34:55] Speaker 1: even more endearing because he secretly wants to be our friend.
[34:58] Speaker 3: It's just the game that's going on in Carter's head
[35:00] Speaker 3: and what everybody else knows about, completely different.
[35:02] Speaker 1: He's an old-timer. Like, just so funny. You seem to
[35:07] Speaker 1: think he cannot win this game. I think he still
[35:09] Speaker 1: has a shot. Him and Lewis are in control, I think,
[35:12] Speaker 1: as the floaters.
[35:13] Speaker 3: I think Lewis has a much better shot.
[35:17] Speaker 5: I think that dynamic duo, I'm in love with them.
[35:21] Speaker 1: Listen, we're getting a shakeup next week, so we'll see.
[35:24] Speaker 1: That's true. A lot's going to change. Jelly and Ori
[35:27] Speaker 1: on the same tribe.
[35:28] Speaker 3: It's the comedy of errors that Carter made me laugh
[35:31] Speaker 3: so much in this episode. I was like, I just
[35:33] Speaker 3: don't see that guy winning. Maybe I'm wrong.
[35:36] Speaker 1: I don't think that because he gets... Everything that is
[35:39] Speaker 1: comically done in this episode is because they stole his
[35:43] Speaker 1: note and they knew... the information that he didn't know
[35:47] Speaker 1: that they knew. So it was kind of one of those, like,
[35:48] Speaker 1: it was because of misinformation or misunderstanding. It was comedic.
[35:53] Speaker 1: He wasn't being like an Andy or a Banu. He
[35:56] Speaker 1: was still playing the game strategically. It's just, they looked
[35:59] Speaker 1: in his bag. Yeah.
[36:02] Speaker 3: Well, that brings us to challenge time with Chase.
[36:05] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[36:05] Speaker 1: There's really not much to say about the challenge itself,
[36:08] Speaker 1: but there's things that happen game wise in the challenge.
[36:12] Speaker 1: Like immediately I'm loving the physical game. challenges this season
[36:16] Speaker 1: yeah i mean.
[36:16] Speaker 5: And right off the bat eric starts throwing hands with
[36:19] Speaker 5: carter for mutiny people hate carter over on the other
[36:23] Speaker 5: side and really quick before it even happens yeah uh
[36:26] Speaker 5: the whatever color needs to sit down four people.
[36:30] Speaker 3: Oh yeah because it's a 7-11 it's.
[36:32] Speaker 2: A 7-11 situation because rob quit like a little baby
[36:36] Speaker 2: boy yeah and it's a blood moon then we have
[36:38] Speaker 2: a mutiny on our hands and they just lost somebody
[36:41] Speaker 2: in the They lost Anna. So they're down three people
[36:45] Speaker 2: in 24 hours.
[36:46] Speaker 1: And what Kristen says, and we forgot to bring up
[36:48] Speaker 1: what Kristen says earlier in the episode about Rob too here.
[36:51] Speaker 1: No kidding. Kristen goes, hey, Jeff, no need to do
[36:55] Speaker 1: the Blood Moon this season. We already have done it.
[36:58] Speaker 1: We've lost three people in a day.
[37:00] Speaker 5: And then earlier when Rob is complaining about the scratch
[37:03] Speaker 5: on his foot, Kristen gets a confession when she goes,
[37:05] Speaker 5: my foot is broken.
[37:07] Speaker 1: And then it just kind of like lingers on her.
[37:12] Speaker 1: It's pretty baller. So the challenge, it's your kind of classic,
[37:15] Speaker 1: Johnny Fairplay made a joke last night that he thought
[37:17] Speaker 1: was going to crush. Oh, really quickly? I'm sorry.
[37:19] Speaker 2: Before it starts, they have to sit down to people,
[37:22] Speaker 2: and Devin basically makes the decision that Kilby's going to
[37:26] Speaker 2: sit out, which will come back later. But when Kilby
[37:30] Speaker 2: hears this, I turn to Chase. I was like, is
[37:33] Speaker 2: Kilby about to cry?
[37:34] Speaker 1: He looks so sad.
[37:36] Speaker 3: He kind of always looks like that.
[37:38] Speaker 1: He does have resting cry face. RCB. He did look.
[37:43] Speaker 2: I was like, I think this really upset him, which
[37:45] Speaker 2: we find out later that it did. He may have
[37:47] Speaker 2: been very close to crying, but I did think that
[37:50] Speaker 2: that was worth pointing out, that one of the people
[37:53] Speaker 2: that had to sit out was Puzzle Boy Kilby.
[37:56] Speaker 1: And Kilby says, I'm a puzzle god. I'm a puzzle god. Yeah.
[38:01] Speaker 1: But yeah, it's... Yeah, Johnny Fairplay makes a joke about
[38:03] Speaker 1: the challenge. He goes, guys, I'm going to make a
[38:05] Speaker 1: prediction for this challenge. They got to go over something,
[38:08] Speaker 1: under something, and then do a puzzle at the end.
[38:10] Speaker 1: And no one laughed. Yeah. He also made another joke
[38:13] Speaker 1: later where he was like trashing the new era. And like,
[38:17] Speaker 1: it just didn't play. Cause everybody was like, this was
[38:19] Speaker 1: like one of the best episodes ever.
[38:21] Speaker 3: It's also like, Hey, we're all here to watch new survivor.
[38:23] Speaker 1: Yeah. And also Cedric and, uh, The other player there
[38:28] Speaker 1: were new era players. Yeah.
[38:30] Speaker 4: It was.
[38:31] Speaker 1: He tried. But yeah, the challenge, it's your typical kind
[38:34] Speaker 1: of obstacle course challenge. Very physical at the jump, though.
[38:38] Speaker 1: Then you get to the puzzle. What's so interesting, though,
[38:40] Speaker 1: is that our underdogs, who just lost three players in
[38:43] Speaker 1: a day... They are so far behind in the obstacle
[38:48] Speaker 1: part of the challenge. However, when the yellow tribe gets
[38:52] Speaker 1: to the puzzle, it's taking them so long. They lose
[38:55] Speaker 1: their entire lead. They can't even get one piece. It's
[38:58] Speaker 1: a really cool hanging puzzle that makes an anchor. That
[39:03] Speaker 1: they actually turn around and the underdogs win the game. Yeah,
[39:07] Speaker 1: it was Christian and Kristen that were on the puzzle.
[39:11] Speaker 1: Because of her broken foot. Hey, how about Ori?
[39:14] Speaker 3: Too dude jumping up that wall getting that's how you do.
[39:16] Speaker 1: It that was because he tried it the first time
[39:19] Speaker 1: and he almost had it and i think i even
[39:20] Speaker 1: looked at brandon i was like i think he can
[39:22] Speaker 1: do it if he tries it again sure enough he
[39:24] Speaker 1: gets up there or he's a beast or.
[39:26] Speaker 7: He's awesome that's how you do it that's how you
[39:28] Speaker 7: do it on Survivor but what I really want to
[39:31] Speaker 7: talk about is right after Purple wins the challenge Linnea
[39:36] Speaker 7: looks at Carter and goes sorry Carter and I was
[39:40] Speaker 7: just like that could have been you.
[39:42] Speaker 1: That was shades of Ozzy looking at Rob not Pink
[39:48] Speaker 1: Substance Rob and going... Or Penner. Oh, Penner. What's Penner's
[39:53] Speaker 1: first name? Penner. Oh, Jonathan. Jonathan Penner. Looking at Penner
[39:57] Speaker 1: and saying, mutiners die first.
[40:00] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[40:00] Speaker 1: And I was just like, that's a baller line from Linnea.
[40:02] Speaker 1: I think that she is getting like, she hasn't been
[40:05] Speaker 1: at the forefront of episodes, but I think she could
[40:07] Speaker 1: be getting a winner's edit.
[40:08] Speaker 3: Yeah, they chose her to lead the whole Rob sucks moment.
[40:11] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[40:12] Speaker 2: I'm interested to see how, because we are going to
[40:15] Speaker 2: get a little bit of a shakeup next week. Like,
[40:18] Speaker 2: is Carter going to tell those people like, Hey, I
[40:21] Speaker 2: was planning on coming back.
[40:22] Speaker 1: The boat literally left it out. Cause I like, I
[40:25] Speaker 1: don't know if they'll believe him. They won't. But like,
[40:28] Speaker 1: I feel like it's worth that. Hail Mary.
[40:31] Speaker 2: Like the people that you did have a little bit
[40:32] Speaker 2: of a connection with, like you might be able to save.
[40:34] Speaker 1: Like I didn't want to like, yeah, there.
[40:38] Speaker 2: Was a chance for an advantage and I was trying
[40:40] Speaker 2: to find it. And in the process, the boat left
[40:42] Speaker 2: without me. So like, that's his only shot.
[40:44] Speaker 1: Cause I forgot about this when I was arguing with
[40:46] Speaker 1: PD earlier about Carter's position in the game. The switch
[40:49] Speaker 1: up does put him in a precarious situation. If it
[40:51] Speaker 1: was staying the same, him and Lewis, I think could
[40:54] Speaker 1: run that tribe. Yeah.
[40:55] Speaker 3: But I like Lewis a lot.
[40:57] Speaker 1: I do too, man. It's a tick mass.
[41:00] Speaker 3: It is a tick mass.
[41:01] Speaker 1: He says something in this episode that I was like,
[41:03] Speaker 1: I can't remember it off the top of my head,
[41:04] Speaker 1: but I was like, oh, that's even funnier than tick mass.
[41:06] Speaker 3: God, I wish I could remember. Yeah, but I enjoy
[41:10] Speaker 3: this challenge a lot. I love a good comeback. Yes.
[41:12] Speaker 3: We don't get a lot of those.
[41:13] Speaker 1: No, the disaster tribe dominates in this one.
[41:16] Speaker 2: And this is like we're doing a thing here. First,
[41:19] Speaker 2: it's in every other situation when it comes to tribal.
[41:21] Speaker 1: Purple, yellow, purple. Purple, yellow, purple. Whatever it is. Yellow, purple, yellow.
[41:25] Speaker 1: Which is exciting. Yes, very. It's giving even more argument
[41:29] Speaker 1: to the two tribes versus three tribes.
[41:31] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[41:31] Speaker 1: Because I was a big defender of like, well, with
[41:34] Speaker 1: three tribes, you usually get a disaster tribe, but you
[41:37] Speaker 1: don't have one tribe so lopsided that it dominates the
[41:41] Speaker 1: rest of the game. It does seem like we're going
[41:42] Speaker 1: to three tribes next week.
[41:44] Speaker 3: But if it's just for a couple weeks.
[41:45] Speaker 1: I don't mind it. We'll just be a swap. I
[41:47] Speaker 1: don't mind it at this point in the game. Yeah.
[41:49] Speaker 1: Because it kind of like, we know everybody. Will they
[41:52] Speaker 1: introduce a third smaller whale? The third smaller whale?
[41:57] Speaker 2: It kind of keeps, in theory, like you can't run
[42:01] Speaker 2: the game, the entire game with like an alliance.
[42:04] Speaker 1: You really got to kind of spread out.
[42:05] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[42:05] Speaker 3: What if it's just a challenge thing? You know how
[42:07] Speaker 3: they sometimes split up just for tribal?
[42:09] Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see what happens. Some people were saying that
[42:11] Speaker 1: they think it could be the earn the merge, but
[42:13] Speaker 1: I think it's way too early for that. And I
[42:15] Speaker 1: don't even know if they'll do an earn the merge
[42:17] Speaker 1: now that there's the open era. I feel like I
[42:19] Speaker 1: heard Jeff say they're not doing that. Oh, okay.
[42:21] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[42:21] Speaker 1: Which is cool with me because that always confused me.
[42:23] Speaker 3: Yeah, I like how they changed the tribe thing. And
[42:27] Speaker 3: I really think that's the whole reason we're back. That's
[42:30] Speaker 3: why Survivor is so back right now is that we
[42:32] Speaker 3: have two tribes instead of three. It can never go
[42:35] Speaker 3: back to three again.
[42:36] Speaker 2: I'm invested in so many more people at this point
[42:40] Speaker 2: than I had been during the new era.
[42:43] Speaker 3: Let's talk about Devin and Kilby's radically honest conversation on
[42:46] Speaker 3: the beach.
[42:48] Speaker 1: It was something.
[42:49] Speaker 3: It starts with Kilby leveling with Devin and being like,
[42:54] Speaker 3: why don't you like me? I wanted to do the puzzle,
[42:59] Speaker 3: and you wouldn't let me do the puzzle. And then
[43:01] Speaker 3: Devin goes... look, kill me the way I see it.
[43:03] Speaker 3: That's not, that wasn't my experience at all. Yeah.
[43:08] Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
[43:09] Speaker 3: That's, that's what the line was. And that's like the
[43:11] Speaker 3: most infuriating thing that you can hear from somebody.
[43:13] Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like when the worst person, you know, is like,
[43:15] Speaker 1: look as an empath. So that whole conversation was tough.
[43:21] Speaker 2: And then he just like, it's the worst because Devin
[43:23] Speaker 2: has alpha energy and sweet.
[43:26] Speaker 1: Kilby doesn't have a lick of that in him. And
[43:28] Speaker 1: so Kilby.
[43:29] Speaker 2: Is like, um, You know, I hear that you're telling everybody, like,
[43:35] Speaker 2: talking about me behind my back or whatever.
[43:37] Speaker 1: And then he's like, Devin is like, who's saying it? Now,
[43:41] Speaker 1: this is what Kilby should have done. Kilby messed up.
[43:45] Speaker 1: What Kilby should have done is say, I don't feel
[43:47] Speaker 1: comfortable throwing those people under the bus.
[43:49] Speaker 3: Right.
[43:50] Speaker 1: Instead, Kilby goes, give me a second because I don't
[43:52] Speaker 1: want to lie to you.
[43:53] Speaker 3: But instead, Kilby goes, it's all of your closest friends.
[43:56] Speaker 1: He goes, well, um.
[44:00] Speaker 4: pat i think pat there's a lot of i think
[44:02] Speaker 4: i think pat said it was pat it was not
[44:04] Speaker 4: confident definitely pat i think pat and brady i think
[44:09] Speaker 4: i think brady also said.
[44:10] Speaker 3: It maybe i think yeah he could have.
[44:14] Speaker 1: And then devin gets a confessional where he goes oh
[44:15] Speaker 1: yeah my two guys my two players Yeah, so... My
[44:20] Speaker 1: best friend.
[44:21] Speaker 3: Devin confronts Pantless Pat about this, and she wants to
[44:25] Speaker 3: murder Kilby. I think that's what she meant. She kept
[44:27] Speaker 3: saying kill shot.
[44:28] Speaker 1: Kill shot. This is where I started to feel nervous.
[44:32] Speaker 1: Between Devin and Pantless Pat, things are getting out of hand.
[44:34] Speaker 1: Because Pantless Pat... Because I was saying she's going to
[44:37] Speaker 1: win the whole season.
[44:38] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[44:39] Speaker 1: My character. And this is what I get... Yeah, this
[44:41] Speaker 1: is what I get from making fun of PD so
[44:42] Speaker 1: much last week with Anna. But Pat... And then in
[44:45] Speaker 1: this scene... There was just something about the look in
[44:48] Speaker 1: her eye where I was like, Oh no, I don't
[44:50] Speaker 1: feel like she's in control.
[44:53] Speaker 3: Um, so Lewis, he tells Carter where the swingers in
[44:57] Speaker 3: this situation was swingers. And Kilby thinks that Brady Brody
[45:00] Speaker 3: is his number one ally. It's not true. And then
[45:04] Speaker 3: as far off as you'd think, unless my notes are
[45:06] Speaker 3: just totally wrong. Then we get to non from the
[45:09] Speaker 3: top rope, throwing out pantless Pat's name. The first person
[45:12] Speaker 3: to say pantless Pat, um, She tells that to Carter, Lewis, Kilby,
[45:17] Speaker 3: and Jenna. Tanan informs Brady Brody that it's Paintless Pat,
[45:20] Speaker 3: and Brady Brody says, that doesn't work for me, brother,
[45:23] Speaker 3: because I've got the numbers, and they spell disaster for
[45:26] Speaker 3: you at sacrifice.
[45:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, but Brady also has this confessional where he goes, like...
[45:31] Speaker 1: This might be a little bit later on where he's like,
[45:33] Speaker 1: I'm playing both sides. Well, there's not later on. Like
[45:35] Speaker 1: this is. Oh, OK. So then it's right here. He's like,
[45:37] Speaker 1: I'm playing both sides. He's very excited, actually. He's like,
[45:40] Speaker 1: I can decide who goes home. Now, what he doesn't
[45:42] Speaker 1: understand is that Lewis and Carter have teamed up. But
[45:45] Speaker 1: at this moment, I really was like, oh, my God,
[45:48] Speaker 1: Brady's actually playing really well because I thought he was
[45:51] Speaker 1: about to turn on Tevin.
[45:54] Speaker 3: And the reason why earlier I said that I like
[45:57] Speaker 3: watching this back, it seems like Brady Brody got a.
[45:59] Speaker 3: pretty bad edit is because he's so confident that he's
[46:02] Speaker 3: in complete control over and over again.
[46:05] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[46:05] Speaker 3: And then we get Lewis and Carter who are actually
[46:07] Speaker 3: in control. They're in the hammock. They have one more
[46:09] Speaker 3: conversation about being swingers and they might do it. They might,
[46:14] Speaker 3: they might swing for the fences on this one.
[46:16] Speaker 1: I like could not figure out the numbers though. Like
[46:19] Speaker 1: we both were struggling. It was a lot.
[46:22] Speaker 2: Who needed, and maybe this is a, um, a point
[46:25] Speaker 2: against two tribes, um, They had so many people.
[46:30] Speaker 1: I couldn't keep them all straight.
[46:32] Speaker 2: Who needed to vote for whom in order to get
[46:35] Speaker 2: them out?
[46:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, we thought when Pat got voted out that Brady
[46:39] Speaker 1: jumped ship because they would have needed more than just
[46:42] Speaker 1: Lewis and Carter to vote it, but we were wrong.
[46:44] Speaker 1: They didn't need Brady. Brady voted for Kilby.
[46:49] Speaker 3: So let's go to tribal now. I feel like it
[46:52] Speaker 3: was one of those tribals where nothing gets said. It's
[46:56] Speaker 3: just a lot of posturing before. Like, did anything stick
[46:58] Speaker 3: out to y'all?
[46:59] Speaker 1: That was so interesting. Cause the same with the challenge
[47:02] Speaker 1: where it was like, this is an incredible episode. And
[47:06] Speaker 1: a lot of the new era, the challenge and the
[47:08] Speaker 1: tribal were the only interesting things in the episode. I
[47:10] Speaker 1: would say that they were the least interesting things in
[47:12] Speaker 1: this episode. I disagree.
[47:14] Speaker 3: So let's, let's get into it. Pantless Pat.
[47:18] Speaker 1: She's gone.
[47:19] Speaker 3: She's the third person eliminated from this game.
[47:21] Speaker 1: Chase, how are you feeling? Big blow for me. I
[47:25] Speaker 1: will say it's nice because Pat was not my number
[47:29] Speaker 1: one draft pick. She was my third round pick. But
[47:33] Speaker 1: after last week, I was feeling so good about her.
[47:35] Speaker 1: Her stock was rising. Yeah. It is a big loss,
[47:39] Speaker 1: but I still feel so good about my team. I
[47:42] Speaker 1: have Ori, Lewis, Brady, Eric, Mike, and Maggie. And I
[47:47] Speaker 1: just feel so good about my team. And usually, when
[47:51] Speaker 1: I lose a player early on, which is often in
[47:54] Speaker 1: the season, when I lose a player... I go, I
[47:58] Speaker 1: don't feel confident about the rest of my team. And
[48:01] Speaker 1: that's where I go, I'm not winning this season. I'm
[48:03] Speaker 1: actually okay. I feel like I have such a well-rounded
[48:06] Speaker 1: team that even though Pat goes home, I could still
[48:08] Speaker 1: lose Ori and I could lose Brady. And I still
[48:11] Speaker 1: feel good about all of the other players on my team.
[48:14] Speaker 2: Maybe not Eric, but also kind of feel good about
[48:18] Speaker 2: Eric a little bit.
[48:19] Speaker 3: So confidence wise, let's talk to the other person who
[48:21] Speaker 3: lost a player. How do you feel about your team brand? I,
[48:25] Speaker 3: I feel really good about my team. I feel like
[48:28] Speaker 3: Jenna has really kind of come out of her shell.
[48:31] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[48:32] Speaker 1: And I think that she's bringing a lot to the
[48:33] Speaker 1: table and she was on the right side.
[48:35] Speaker 2: She was, I don't, I feel like Maggie, I feel
[48:37] Speaker 2: like the fact that Kristen's still here and like her,
[48:41] Speaker 2: Foot didn't seem to be much of a thing in
[48:43] Speaker 2: this episode.
[48:44] Speaker 1: They're strategically putting her at the puzzle, or they're doing
[48:48] Speaker 1: a really good job. But it is like Rob said.
[48:49] Speaker 1: But she still has to get up.
[48:52] Speaker 3: Yeah, but Rob, one thing that Rob said that doesn't
[48:55] Speaker 3: apply to him because he didn't have an injury, but
[48:57] Speaker 3: it applies to Kristen, is you can't rehab out there.
[48:59] Speaker 3: It's just going to get worse.
[49:00] Speaker 1: That's true. Yeah, I wasn't arguing with you. I was agreeing.
[49:04] Speaker 1: But yeah, the fact that she is... And it wasn't
[49:07] Speaker 1: a storyline. No. That's what makes me think she's going
[49:10] Speaker 1: to last a while. I don't think that it's going
[49:13] Speaker 1: to take her out of the game later on. Let's
[49:14] Speaker 1: talk about Jelly.
[49:16] Speaker 3: Jelly's in a tough spot.
[49:17] Speaker 2: Jelly is in a, once again, I am concerned.
[49:20] Speaker 1: She does have an idol.
[49:21] Speaker 2: I am concerned about her association with Devin who continues
[49:24] Speaker 2: to be wrong, but radically wrong, but nobody, nobody has
[49:29] Speaker 2: thrown out jelly's name.
[49:32] Speaker 1: And I, yeah, that's true.
[49:33] Speaker 2: I think jelly is so darn likable and has such
[49:37] Speaker 2: a great energy about her. I still feel good about
[49:39] Speaker 2: her going far in the game. I still think that
[49:42] Speaker 2: she might win the game.
[49:44] Speaker 3: Out of your team, who do you think, if you
[49:46] Speaker 3: had to pick one, who's your winner?
[49:49] Speaker 1: I'll still say Jolly.
[49:50] Speaker 3: And you, Chase?
[49:52] Speaker 1: Right now, I actually think I'm going to lean towards
[49:57] Speaker 1: maybe Lewis or Mike. The reason I love Lewis, he
[50:01] Speaker 1: didn't give millionaire vibes when we met him, but also...
[50:06] Speaker 1: Bran pointed this out to me last night. He is
[50:08] Speaker 1: like a big influencer. He might just already have money.
[50:11] Speaker 1: So the after taxes... $ 600, 000 maybe didn't make a huge difference.
[50:16] Speaker 3: Oh, did he, like, do, like, a vlog in his
[50:19] Speaker 3: school bus or something?
[50:20] Speaker 1: No, he is, like, a TikToker. He's, like, a very
[50:22] Speaker 1: famous influencer.
[50:23] Speaker 3: And did he get famous for being, like, I'm in
[50:25] Speaker 3: Puerto Rico and I'm in a school bus?
[50:27] Speaker 1: Yeah, probably. He's an Irish guy who lives in Puerto
[50:30] Speaker 1: Rico in a school bus. I imagine just... Doing farm work.
[50:32] Speaker 1: People are watching. It's a tick mask. Have you heard that?
[50:35] Speaker 1: And he's so attractive.
[50:36] Speaker 3: I can't believe I didn't find him on TikTok.
[50:38] Speaker 1: Well, you don't have TikTok. Or Instagram, you know, wherever...
[50:42] Speaker 1: The reals.
[50:42] Speaker 3: Wherever you get your short form.
[50:43] Speaker 1: Wherever you get your short form. Devin's weaponized wrongness.
[50:48] Speaker 3: Hey, Devin, I think, could be in the final three.
[50:51] Speaker 3: I'm not going to say he's going to win. I
[50:52] Speaker 3: think he could be in the final three.
[50:53] Speaker 1: Who do you think is your most likely winner? I
[50:55] Speaker 1: think Devin's out next week. Boom.
[50:57] Speaker 3: I'm going to go with Linnea.
[50:59] Speaker 1: That feels good.
[51:00] Speaker 3: I like Sharonda and Linnea.
[51:03] Speaker 1: I think, to your point, because you brought up the
[51:06] Speaker 1: thing about how she picked.
[51:09] Speaker 1: My player to go home to non to non could
[51:11] Speaker 1: be in a good spot. They showed her a lot
[51:13] Speaker 1: this week.
[51:13] Speaker 3: She got nothing the past two weeks.
[51:15] Speaker 1: They showed her a lot and they showed her being like,
[51:17] Speaker 1: like she was like playing the game.
[51:20] Speaker 3: Oh yeah. One of the things that they showed her
[51:22] Speaker 3: saying was that Devin was trying to mansplain survivor to her.
[51:25] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[51:26] Speaker 1: I think that to non could actually be your winner
[51:27] Speaker 1: pick after this week.
[51:28] Speaker 3: She might get like, you know, Rachel got nothing in
[51:31] Speaker 3: the first two. Could to non get a Rachel edit.
[51:33] Speaker 3: We've been saying that about people a lot and it's
[51:36] Speaker 3: never come true. Ever since 47, there has not been
[51:39] Speaker 3: another Rachel, and there may never be another.
[51:42] Speaker 1: Rachel ever again. Well, it's because she's the best winner
[51:43] Speaker 1: of the new era. She's a winner of the new era.
[51:45] Speaker 1: She's the best winner of the new era. Bran, who
[51:47] Speaker 1: do you think is the best winner of the new era?
[51:49] Speaker 1: I've already said.
[51:50] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[51:50] Speaker 1: Say it, Rachel.
[51:51] Speaker 3: Who do you think is Rachel?
[51:52] Speaker 1: Say it. Say your name.
[51:53] Speaker 3: Chase and Bran think it's Rachel.
[51:55] Speaker 2: I also think, like, Jenna could do it. Like, Jenna
[51:59] Speaker 2: did have the thing.
[52:00] Speaker 1: Yeah. Sad first couple days. That arc.
[52:03] Speaker 2: That arc, the Aubrey arc, where it's, like, super depressed
[52:06] Speaker 2: early on.
[52:07] Speaker 1: It's just mopey.
[52:08] Speaker 3: It's not dingus yet.
[52:09] Speaker 1: That's what's so cool. You can be mopey without being dingus. Right.
[52:13] Speaker 1: Rob was a mopey dingus. Ozzy was not a mopey dingus.
[52:15] Speaker 3: You can be medical without doctor.
[52:17] Speaker 1: Yes. I think that, like, the fact that Devin didn't,
[52:22] Speaker 1: like he's moved on. I think Devin goes home next week.
[52:25] Speaker 1: Like Devin didn't even bring up jenna yeah yeah she
[52:29] Speaker 1: wasn't even an option you remember how much he wanted
[52:32] Speaker 1: to get her out two weeks ago but he keeps
[52:34] Speaker 1: doing that he latches on to someone yeah he's all
[52:36] Speaker 1: over the place i think he goes home next week
[52:39] Speaker 1: and here's why episode one he's the main villain of
[52:41] Speaker 1: the episode episode two no devon at all episode three
[52:45] Speaker 1: he is once again i wouldn't call him the main
[52:48] Speaker 1: villain of the episode but he is such a heavy
[52:50] Speaker 1: opposition to who actually goes home um i think that
[52:55] Speaker 1: His story is coming to an end. I think the
[52:57] Speaker 1: way that he's playing, his radical picking a random person
[53:00] Speaker 1: every week, I think he's going home next week.
[53:02] Speaker 3: It just hit me. He's going to be the merge boot.
[53:05] Speaker 3: Doesn't he just seem like a merge boot kind of guy?
[53:07] Speaker 1: I think Brady might be the merge boot. It's usually
[53:11] Speaker 1: a bigger guy. It's usually a physical threat.
[53:13] Speaker 3: It's either a really unlikable person or a physical threat.
[53:17] Speaker 1: Another thing that we need to point out, other than
[53:19] Speaker 1: Rob who quit, all women have been voted out so far.
[53:22] Speaker 1: They're keeping their physical... Which is something that we didn't
[53:27] Speaker 1: see a lot in the new era. The new era
[53:29] Speaker 1: wasn't afraid to get rid of a dumb guy just
[53:31] Speaker 1: because he's big. But it seems like they are trying
[53:34] Speaker 1: to keep the big dumb guys. Not saying that the
[53:36] Speaker 1: big dumb guys are dumb.
[53:39] Speaker 3: Can we stop doing that? Because I want Linnea or
[53:42] Speaker 3: Sharonda to win.
[53:43] Speaker 1: I was bringing it up as a concern. Because it's like,
[53:46] Speaker 1: if we're going to get rid of just women until
[53:47] Speaker 1: the merge... That really puts a damper on this season
[53:51] Speaker 1: as a whole, I think, because then post-merge, we're stuck
[53:53] Speaker 1: with a lot of these guys. And as much as
[53:55] Speaker 1: I love Lewis and Carter, I don't know if that's
[53:58] Speaker 1: the right move. I'm feeling pretty good about my women.
[54:01] Speaker 1: I've got Kristen, who's amazing at mine.
[54:04] Speaker 3: I always feel good about my women.
[54:07] Speaker 1: Honestly, too many that count, brother. Brody. But, like, Jelly is, like...
[54:15] Speaker 1: In a good spot. In a good spot. Well, a
[54:16] Speaker 1: bad spot, but a good spot. But she's, like, of
[54:19] Speaker 1: the women is very strong, right? Same with Shalonda and Kristen.
[54:23] Speaker 2: But then, like, you got Kristen, who is really athletic,
[54:27] Speaker 2: but also great at puzzles.
[54:28] Speaker 1: Let's keep her... Broken foot.
[54:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, not athletic anymore.
[54:31] Speaker 1: Right, but in theory, she is. But she is such
[54:33] Speaker 1: a well-rounded player, though. That's crazy. I love Kristen. I would...
[54:37] Speaker 1: I would be so happy if Kristen won this game.
[54:40] Speaker 1: It would also be a crate to win with a
[54:42] Speaker 1: broken foot. A broken foot? Win the Olympic medal with
[54:45] Speaker 1: a broken freaking neck. Can you imagine? She broke her foot.
[54:48] Speaker 2: She's been applying to this game for like 20 years
[54:51] Speaker 2: or something like that.
[54:52] Speaker 1: No, since the first season. To get back on, to
[54:54] Speaker 1: finally get on the show, break your foot, and end
[54:57] Speaker 1: up winning? What a season. What a story.
[55:00] Speaker 3: I will say I don't want that because I'm sick
[55:02] Speaker 3: of losing to women named Kristen. It's happened to me before.
[55:05] Speaker 3: I don't want it to happen again.
[55:07] Speaker 1: For the newer people, there used to be... We've lost
[55:09] Speaker 1: a lot. There used to be another host called Kristen.
[55:14] Speaker 2: We've lost one household, but we've lost two hosts.
[55:17] Speaker 1: Yes, yes. They're both in the same household. We've lost people.
[55:20] Speaker 3: We've lost brain cells.
[55:23] Speaker 1: I actually think we've gotten a lot smarter over the seasons.
[55:26] Speaker 1: Do you think so? Yeah. If you listen to that
[55:28] Speaker 1: first season we did on this podcast.
[55:31] Speaker 3: We might have sounded bad because we didn't know how
[55:32] Speaker 3: to do a podcast or like how to record anything
[55:35] Speaker 3: without it sounding like shit.
[55:36] Speaker 1: Well, I mean, we've all done several podcasts previously.
[55:39] Speaker 3: Well, go listen to the first couple episodes of Making
[55:42] Speaker 3: the Merch. It's tough. It's like we might be a
[55:46] Speaker 3: tough listen now, but at least the audio equipment is
[55:49] Speaker 3: all professional.
[55:49] Speaker 1: At least you can hear it. Yeah. It would be
[55:51] Speaker 1: really funny if the audio messes up on this episode.
[55:55] Speaker 1: And we did a rant about how at least we
[55:57] Speaker 1: know what we're doing.
[55:57] Speaker 3: Yeah, so we've reached the end here. I heard something
[56:01] Speaker 3: about Chase getting pulled over.
[56:03] Speaker 1: Can we end with that? Oh, yeah. On the way
[56:05] Speaker 1: to the watch party, I was looking for parking.
[56:07] Speaker 2: This is what he said. He texted me and he says, hey,
[56:10] Speaker 2: I'm looking for parking.
[56:12] Speaker 1: Be there in a minute. Next thing I know, he
[56:15] Speaker 1: says I've been pulled over. How do you... And I said,
[56:17] Speaker 1: I don't even know how that happened.
[56:19] Speaker 3: How are you so close to being done that you're like,
[56:22] Speaker 3: I'm finding parking now?
[56:23] Speaker 1: And what's even crazier is... In the Patreon, I sent
[56:25] Speaker 1: this picture of me being pulled over.
[56:27] Speaker 2: What's even crazier is I literally, on the way there,
[56:30] Speaker 2: I beat him there by a couple minutes.
[56:32] Speaker 1: I saw like four cop cars.
[56:35] Speaker 2: sirens on heading in the opposite direction yeah that was
[56:38] Speaker 2: for me so this police officer chose not to go.
[56:44] Speaker 6: On the mission to where the policing is murder happening
[56:48] Speaker 6: but instead pull over chase because i had a tail
[56:51] Speaker 6: light because he had a tail light to which i
[56:55] Speaker 6: said why is that any of his business did you
[56:57] Speaker 6: get a warning at least yeah i told him my
[56:59] Speaker 6: grandma died.
[57:01] Speaker 1: No, I'm joking. No, that's a good joke, though. No,
[57:04] Speaker 1: he came up to the window, and I did some
[57:07] Speaker 1: weaponized incompetence. He came up to the window.
[57:11] Speaker 3: You just acted like the window couldn't roll down?
[57:14] Speaker 1: Well, no, deadass. So you were just yourself? I rolled
[57:18] Speaker 1: down the driver's side window, but I parked on the side.
[57:21] Speaker 3: Of the road.
[57:21] Speaker 1: It's downtown, so it's a pretty busy road. And so
[57:25] Speaker 1: he obviously couldn't walk up to my window, so he
[57:27] Speaker 1: walked up to the passenger window. But I'm looking... out
[57:30] Speaker 1: the driver's side window and then he had to like
[57:32] Speaker 1: tap on the glass and then i looked over i
[57:33] Speaker 1: was like oh then i rolled the window down and
[57:36] Speaker 1: he goes can i get your license registration everything and
[57:38] Speaker 1: i was like yeah and then he goes where's your
[57:40] Speaker 1: car insurance and i said oh it's on my phone
[57:42] Speaker 1: he goes that's cool and i just started pulling it
[57:45] Speaker 1: up and i was like hey i don't really know
[57:46] Speaker 1: where it is on the app and he goes well
[57:48] Speaker 1: let's give it to me i gave it to him
[57:49] Speaker 1: and he looked for he said i got it i
[57:51] Speaker 1: said okay And I think he just felt bad for
[57:53] Speaker 1: me at that point. I was like, this idiot. Yeah.
[57:56] Speaker 1: And then he was like, hey, you just got a
[57:57] Speaker 1: taillight out. Were you aware? I was aware. But I
[58:00] Speaker 1: was like, no. And he was like, well, usually, because
[58:02] Speaker 1: this is a newer car, that usually tells you on
[58:04] Speaker 1: the dash. And I was like, oh, that's what that meant.
[58:07] Speaker 1: My God. He was like, this fucking idiot.
[58:10] Speaker 3: So shout out to that officer who gave Chase a warning.
[58:13] Speaker 1: He was actually very nice about it. But I think
[58:15] Speaker 1: it's because he thought I was dumb.
[58:16] Speaker 3: Bran, would you like to give an official making the
[58:18] Speaker 3: merch shout out to somebody before we wrap up?
[58:20] Speaker 1: Johnny Fairplay? Cedric?
[58:23] Speaker 3: Well, he gave it to the cop.
[58:24] Speaker 1: Is there anybody you interacted with?
[58:27] Speaker 2: I mean, I will give a shout out to all
[58:31] Speaker 2: the people that said that they missed me last week.
[58:34] Speaker 1: Which was everyone. I thought you were getting emotional. I
[58:39] Speaker 1: can't even talk about it. So many people reached out.
