[0:26] Speaker 1: Look, we've been at each other's throats for fourteen fifteen
[0:31] Speaker 1: episodes now, not to mention how long we've known each other,
[0:35] Speaker 1: and we were at each other's throats then too.
[0:38] Speaker 2: We're just like, we're like two feral cats. The second
[0:41] Speaker 2: we saw each other, we were.
[0:42] Speaker 1: Just Yeah, I was I was hissing, and I was like,
[0:45] Speaker 1: you know, that was what I'm doing, but not in
[0:47] Speaker 1: a positive way, you know something. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah,

[1:04] Speaker 2: We can't, I mean, we can't argue on the greatest
[1:07] Speaker 2: night of the year, the Merging Awards.
[1:09] Speaker 1: Yeah, the greatest awards ceremony to happen in at least
[1:14] Speaker 1: the past three weeks, is what I've heard.

[1:18] Speaker 2: on a lemon say that it's probably the best award
[1:20] Speaker 2: show done over Riverside FM.
[1:22] Speaker 1: Chase. Today is not Today is not a day to
[1:26] Speaker 1: be taken lightly because we have the results said Mergy Awards.
[1:31] Speaker 1: How does that make you feel?
[1:32] Speaker 2: It makes me feel great. I didn't get to be

[1:59] Speaker 1: thing I've ever heard in my years. Uh, let's see. Wait, no,

[2:36] Speaker 1: like that would be that would be pretty exciting mash success. Yeah. Well,
[2:41] Speaker 1: I mean on our very first voting opportunity, it was
[2:45] Speaker 1: like three hundred votes, dude, Like it was. It was
[2:49] Speaker 1: not a small number of people participating in this. So
[2:54] Speaker 1: we've really uh, we really went from zero to one hundred.
[2:57] Speaker 1: But like you said, we had big plans. We really did.
[3:00] Speaker 1: All right, Chase, let's just go ahead and jump into
[3:03] Speaker 1: it in the order with which we posted, because we
[3:07] Speaker 1: had the Quote of the Season award. The nominees were
[3:11] Speaker 1: saw with the quote fart, we had Kyle, and Kyle
[3:16] Speaker 1: was a two timer with two different quotes, and then
[3:20] Speaker 1: we had Rachel with her kind of funeral quote. And
[3:25] Speaker 1: so Chase, why don't you go ahead and open up
[3:28] Speaker 1: that beautiful envelope you have there?
[3:31] Speaker 2: All right? And the winner is Rachel's funeral.
[3:35] Speaker 1: Wow, beautiful, beautiful.
[3:38] Speaker 2: Here I'll read the full quote. I'll read her full quote.
[3:40] Speaker 1: Go ahead and read that.
[3:42] Speaker 2: I think the only thing better than attending your own
[3:45] Speaker 2: funeral is knowing that you're going to wake up alive

[5:15] Speaker 1: thing right now, Chase, right, like, I mean, we've got
[5:18] Speaker 1: we've got way more to do, that's right.
[5:21] Speaker 2: Our next nominations the Gone Too Soon Award. Yeah, this
[5:28] Speaker 2: is where we had everyone vote for who they thought
[5:30] Speaker 2: should have stayed in the game longer. And the nominees
[5:36] Speaker 2: are Honica, Asia, John love It, and TK.
[5:44] Speaker 1: The winner is Honaka. Honaka is the winner of the
[5:49] Speaker 1: Gone Too Soon Award. So we are, man, I'm telling
[5:55] Speaker 1: you what. That's again a well deserved win, Chase.
[5:59] Speaker 2: Kind of a docking one in my opinion.
[6:01] Speaker 1: I thought I thought John was gonna take it for
[6:03] Speaker 1: a while. It was like watching a ping pong battle?
[6:06] Speaker 1: Is that what we call those? Now?
[6:11] Speaker 2: I really so? I nominated Asia right because I was
[6:14] Speaker 2: like she she, I know, John love It was kind
[6:16] Speaker 2: of a celebrity, and so it was kind of like
[6:18] Speaker 2: people wanted him to stick around. But Asia, Yeah, seemed
[6:20] Speaker 2: like she was going to be a power player throughout
[6:22] Speaker 2: the season. So the fact that she too is like crazy.
[6:27] Speaker 1: Well John, I think for me, I nominated John, and
[6:31] Speaker 1: I'm not upset that he lost. I'm not gonna I'm
[6:33] Speaker 1: not gonna carry that negativity into the Mergy Awards results, right.
[6:37] Speaker 1: I did nominate John because I felt like it would
[6:40] Speaker 1: have been really cool to see a speech writer taking
[6:45] Speaker 1: on like the jury or taking on you know, tribal
[6:48] Speaker 1: councils in general. But we really didn't get to see him,
[6:52] Speaker 1: get to demonstrate that he was gone. He's gone to one.
[6:56] Speaker 1: But Anaka is taking it. We had a lot of
[6:58] Speaker 1: Anaka fans apparently listening here. Man, I wasn't anticipating that.
[7:03] Speaker 2: And usually this is the part where I would say
[7:05] Speaker 2: what I'm about to say and PD would like jump
[7:08] Speaker 2: in with the actual facts.
[7:09] Speaker 1: Oh uh oh.
[7:10] Speaker 2: But I just like, I don't even remember anything Anica
[7:13] Speaker 2: did this season.
[7:14] Speaker 1: You know, I don't either, dude, I really don't. This
[7:17] Speaker 1: is I was thinking, as I'm looking at her winning,
[7:20] Speaker 1: I kind of read it and was like, huh, I
[7:23] Speaker 1: remember her. If PD was here, PD would just like
[7:26] Speaker 1: nailed out like a list of five things that she
[7:29] Speaker 1: did in the season that was like really important. And
[7:31] Speaker 1: we were being like, oh, yeah, yeah, why did he?
[7:34] Speaker 1: This is why they leave us to the already predetermined information.
[7:38] Speaker 1: They just gave us stuff. They're like read this. We're like, okay,
[7:41] Speaker 1: so funny dude.
[7:42] Speaker 2: But he moving on to our next category.
[7:46] Speaker 1: Oh boy, let me tell you this one. This one
[7:49] Speaker 1: was going to be tough. I could already tell, or
[7:53] Speaker 1: at least I thought so. So Funniest Castaway Award. Our
[7:59] Speaker 1: nominee are Andy, Sue, Kyle, and Saul, who gave us
[8:06] Speaker 1: the most Entertainment Chase.
[8:08] Speaker 2: And the winner is Andy.
[8:12] Speaker 1: Andy. Wow.
[8:13] Speaker 2: I should have seen it coming.
[8:15] Speaker 1: Should have seen it coming, but we did not see
[8:19] Speaker 1: it coming in a landslide that we saw. I mean,
[8:22] Speaker 1: he took fifty two percent of the votes, Chase. Are
[8:26] Speaker 1: you seeing that?
[8:27] Speaker 2: Fifty two of one hundred and thirty one responses?
[8:31] Speaker 1: How over? What what does that mean?
[8:34] Speaker 2: Six people? Seventy people?
[8:35] Speaker 1: Yeah? That would that would account for the math? I
[8:38] Speaker 1: think so it's it was. I really thought that we
[8:43] Speaker 1: would see a harder contest there, but Andy swept it.
[8:48] Speaker 1: I think he's the again a deserving winner. We got
[8:50] Speaker 1: a lot of entertainment out of him thrusting. Yeah, just
[8:55] Speaker 1: no stopped him like biting a ball with his teeth
[8:58] Speaker 1: and like moving it with his tongue.
[9:00] Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, you know I can't, I mean,
[9:04] Speaker 2: immediately Week one, episode one, giving us the banger. They
[9:09] Speaker 2: don't cheer when I opened cocon nuts.
[9:10] Speaker 1: They don't cheer. I see how they look at me.
[9:13] Speaker 1: I see how they don't cheer.
[9:15] Speaker 2: Someone should do an edit of that monologue over like
[9:18] Speaker 2: some like really ominous music.
[9:19] Speaker 1: Yeah, over like Midwest emo music. You know, it just
[9:23] Speaker 1: sounds like a like a freaking death cab song something.
[9:27] Speaker 2: Like you said. I thought this would have been closer
[9:28] Speaker 2: because this was a tough category soon yeah, part of
[9:31] Speaker 2: some really hilarious moments her age debacle, the red Paint,
[9:35] Speaker 2: the Red pain, exactly like tweedled and tweedled.
[9:38] Speaker 1: Dumb dude. I again thought it was gonna be closer,
[9:42] Speaker 1: but Andy won in a landslide. It is not even
[9:45] Speaker 1: able to be argued. I mean, this one was really
[9:47] Speaker 1: close in comparison. Just to let people know, Anka with
[9:51] Speaker 1: the last vote, she won with thirty nine percent of
[9:53] Speaker 1: the vote. John was tailing in at thirty five percent
[9:58] Speaker 1: of the vote, so we're talking really close stuff. But Funniest, Dude,
[10:02] Speaker 1: Funniest Award goes to Andy. Congratulations, Andy, We're.
[10:06] Speaker 2: So gratulations on your mergery award in yes, and thank
[10:09] Speaker 2: you for the TikTok fuse, thank you.
[10:12] Speaker 1: So okay, all right, Chase, why don't you go ahead
[10:17] Speaker 1: and in memory of your favorite contestant you've ever drafted,
[10:23] Speaker 1: go ahead and read us the nominees for the next award.
[10:26] Speaker 2: The next category is the Big Mistake Award, and the
[10:32] Speaker 2: nominees are the Lavo Tribe, letting Rome do the puzzle,
[10:40] Speaker 2: Caroline not letting Sue play her idol for her, Andy
[10:46] Speaker 2: asking Rachel to vote for him when she's on the jury,
[10:51] Speaker 2: and keeping Andy in the first week.
[10:56] Speaker 1: That was the one that you said it just saying
[10:58] Speaker 1: just in general, keeping Andy, and we all had a good, uh,
[11:01] Speaker 1: we had a good laugh about that nomination. And it's
[11:04] Speaker 1: true that was a that's a tough decision, but only
[11:08] Speaker 1: one of these decisions can be labeled the Biggest mistake, Chase.
[11:12] Speaker 1: So the winner of the Big Mistake Award is Andy
[11:19] Speaker 1: telling Rachel she'd be on the Churry Wow, this.
[11:23] Speaker 2: Congratulations as well.
[11:26] Speaker 1: Slide another landslide, another landslide for sure, with fifty five
[11:30] Speaker 1: percent of the votes going to it, this does feel
[11:34] Speaker 1: like this does feel like a pretty big blunder to make.
[11:40] Speaker 2: I mean, one of the biggest ones of the recent
[11:43] Speaker 2: probably the last five or six seasons for sure.
[11:46] Speaker 1: And it was an embarrassing one too, Like knowing how
[11:51] Speaker 1: it ended, You're just like Andy, I know you feel
[11:54] Speaker 1: embarrassed watching that back.
[11:56] Speaker 2: Like as bad if it wasn't like the same, like
[12:01] Speaker 2: it was happened right before the Tribal Council where Rachel
[12:04] Speaker 2: played one of the most baller eaves ever. So it's
[12:07] Speaker 2: just like the man, you look dumb.
[12:09] Speaker 1: Yeah it really did not well well, it's just it. Yeah,
[12:12] Speaker 1: it's a big, big mistake. And so another award goes
[12:16] Speaker 1: to Andy, right, like, yeah, how does this? This makes
[12:20] Speaker 1: him a two time Mergy Award winner.
[12:22] Speaker 2: At this point, he's already doing great.
[12:25] Speaker 1: He's doing better at this than he did the Game
[12:27] Speaker 1: of Survivor. Yeah, all right, moving on, because we've got
[12:34] Speaker 1: nothing else to talk about other than these awards. So
[12:38] Speaker 1: we've got the Baby Come Back Award. Okay, so this
[12:43] Speaker 1: is different than the gone too Soon Award. The Gone
[12:46] Speaker 1: Too Soon is a contestant you believe was gone too soon.
[12:50] Speaker 1: The Baby Come Back is, Hey, do I want that
[12:52] Speaker 1: person back in another season? Yeah? You know, because it's
[12:56] Speaker 1: not It's not the same thing. So the Baby Come
[12:59] Speaker 1: Back Award nominees are John love It, Saul Rome with
[13:06] Speaker 1: a question mark because I think all of us were
[13:09] Speaker 1: absolutely blown away that Kristen nominated Robe. I'm still confused
[13:15] Speaker 1: by it. I've been confused for the past week looking
[13:17] Speaker 1: at Kristen said are you sure? And then right after
[13:21] Speaker 1: that we had another nomination for Andy. Will Andy take
[13:25] Speaker 1: this chase? We opened the said fake envelope.
[13:29] Speaker 2: And the winner is Saul.
[13:32] Speaker 1: Wow.
[13:34] Speaker 2: I will say kind of a close one though, between
[13:37] Speaker 2: Saul and Andy.
[13:38] Speaker 1: Yes, it was. It was very close because I think
[13:42] Speaker 1: that people like Andy as a character but not as
[13:46] Speaker 1: a player, and then people liked Saul as a player
[13:50] Speaker 1: and as a character and a person, so that's what
[13:54] Speaker 1: it gave him that edge. So we've got Saul with
[13:56] Speaker 1: fifty four percent of the votes taking the win the Baby.
[14:00] Speaker 2: Come Back Award, and I really hope that he does
[14:03] Speaker 2: come back because I think we all do talk about
[14:07] Speaker 2: like the Gone Too Soon Award from earlier. Yep, Saul
[14:10] Speaker 2: like lasted.
[14:11] Speaker 1: A long time.
[14:12] Speaker 2: The man did he deserve to at least be in
[14:14] Speaker 2: that final tribal man?
[14:15] Speaker 1: I agree, dude, he he to me deserved to make
[14:19] Speaker 1: it to like at the final three, in my opinion,
[14:22] Speaker 1: because if we watch back the amount of stuff he
[14:27] Speaker 1: survived with just Rome, Dude, he just he deserved to
[14:32] Speaker 1: go much further in the game. And I think that
[14:34] Speaker 1: he would do a much better job when handed hopefully
[14:38] Speaker 1: a better group of contestants to work with.
[14:41] Speaker 2: I mean he was I think, you know, because he's
[14:44] Speaker 2: still People like him so much because he's such a
[14:46] Speaker 2: likable guy, such a fun Yeah. Obviously the Rome episode
[14:48] Speaker 2: where they are butting heads is what led a lot
[14:51] Speaker 2: of people to liking Soul, But people forget how entertaining
[14:54] Speaker 2: of a player he was, oh game wise, I mean,
[14:57] Speaker 2: he's the reason Rachel survived that week. Yeah, so's he
[15:01] Speaker 2: was just a ton of fun.
[15:02] Speaker 1: One with a great poker face too. I mean him
[15:05] Speaker 1: sitting on that on the Jerry being like.
[15:07] Speaker 2: Oh what just the stupid sexy saw yes, dripping with
[15:12] Speaker 2: Fiji rainwater.
[15:15] Speaker 1: We don't we don't have an award for most sexy
[15:19] Speaker 1: And I can't help. But notice we didn't. We don't
[15:21] Speaker 1: even have. We should have, but we know who's swept. Yeah,
[15:26] Speaker 1: why even do it? You know? Okay, Chase? All right?
[15:31] Speaker 2: Our next category is the Game Changer Award. Now, this
[15:36] Speaker 2: is what move from a player this season changed everything.
[15:43] Speaker 2: And the nominees are Kyle getting everyone to give up
[15:47] Speaker 2: their shot in the dark in exchange for Rice, Saul
[15:53] Speaker 2: saving Rachel with the safety without Power, Operation Italy, and
[16:00] Speaker 2: Rachel's funeral.
[16:03] Speaker 1: Oh Man, Chase. All of these are game changers, but
[16:07] Speaker 1: only one of them can be the game changer. So
[16:11] Speaker 1: the winner of the Game Changer Award is Andy Pitches
[16:16] Speaker 1: Operation Italy. Dang dude, splendid, splendid move.
[16:21] Speaker 2: I'm gonna be honest. This is the first one where
[16:23] Speaker 2: I disagree with the winner.
[16:25] Speaker 1: I agree with you disagree, Chase. We're gonna be on
[16:30] Speaker 1: the same side with this because I believe that Saul
[16:32] Speaker 1: should have taken it with giving that advantage to Winchel.
[16:35] Speaker 2: Rachel won the whole season because of that move. That
[16:38] Speaker 2: was the biggest game changer move.
[16:40] Speaker 1: Now, see, I think that Operation Italy was it could
[16:46] Speaker 1: have been in my opinion, Again, this is not this
[16:50] Speaker 1: is not negating the votes. Clearly the votes saw it differently.
[16:53] Speaker 2: It was close by the way, it was Operation.
[16:56] Speaker 1: Italy and Saul thirty four, yeah, thirty four percent to
[16:59] Speaker 1: four twenty three percent, and then Rachel's funeral coming, you know,
[17:04] Speaker 1: in third there. But I really think that Operation Italy
[17:09] Speaker 1: was like putting a band aid on an amputation.
[17:11] Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree. I don't even think that that because
[17:14] Speaker 2: that was a cool move, Yeah, don't. I think it
[17:16] Speaker 2: was an accident. I don't think that they were as
[17:19] Speaker 2: smart about it as they they thought they were.
[17:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, well, and it was everything. It was almost luck
[17:27] Speaker 1: had to play out for them, super lucky. Now with
[17:29] Speaker 1: Saul saving Rachel, he just tactfully chose the right person
[17:33] Speaker 1: to receive that award, and that really changed the game
[17:37] Speaker 1: because if she she would have gone home that night.
[17:39] Speaker 2: Yes, and everyone knew it. Everyone knew that Saul knew it,
[17:42] Speaker 2: and that's why he chose her because he knew that
[17:44] Speaker 2: she was the one going home and this was going
[17:46] Speaker 2: to put a giant twist in everyone's game that was
[17:49] Speaker 2: building for Rachel.
[17:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I'm glad look at that chase again. The
[17:52] Speaker 1: Mergy Awards are bringing us closer.
[17:54] Speaker 2: Dude, Yeah, maybe you know, maybe we're not the problem.
[17:57] Speaker 2: Maybe it's PD that's the problem. Maybe against each other.

[18:52] Speaker 1: does not mean who we think was the MVP of
[18:55] Speaker 1: survivor so to speak. But who do we find to
[18:59] Speaker 1: be the most valuable player to us?
[19:03] Speaker 2: Essentially, who brought the most entertainment value on the podcast?
[19:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, like, who did we talk about who racked in
[19:10] Speaker 1: some great entertainment views for us on TikTok. Who did
[19:14] Speaker 1: we just find to be the most valuable player to
[19:17] Speaker 1: discuss and talk about? So we've got some We've got
[19:21] Speaker 1: some like controversial names in here that people were I
