[0:02] Speaker 1: Think to me, God, what a beautiful, beautiful voice from
[0:30] Speaker 1: our good friend Mary Young and her amazing song Pink.
[0:34] Speaker 2: Make sure to stream it everywhere music is sold or
[0:38] Speaker 2: streamed or pirated.
[0:40] Speaker 3: I'm sure Mary would be cool with you pirrating it.
[0:42] Speaker 4: I don't even know do people pirate music anymore when
[0:45] Speaker 4: it's so easy to just stream it?
[0:47] Speaker 3: Me and Chase are both drunk. I'm just kidding.
[0:51] Speaker 4: It's one.
[0:55] Speaker 2: I do want to address off the top brand being
[0:58] Speaker 2: drunk on the last episode, because he claims that he wasn't.
[1:01] Speaker 4: He claims he was just tired. I think he's lying.
[1:04] Speaker 4: I think he thinks he was. He wasn't drunk.
[1:07] Speaker 2: Does a sober person make this noise?
[1:10] Speaker 4: Ha? He thinks he was sober for sure. I feel
[1:17] Speaker 4: like there's no.
[1:18] Speaker 3: Way he was just it was a different brand.
[1:22] Speaker 4: It was. It was so drastically different from normal that
[1:26] Speaker 4: I find it very hard to.
[1:30] Speaker 3: Sober brand ever done this?
[1:32] Speaker 2: Ha?
[1:33] Speaker 3: No, No, he has it.
[1:35] Speaker 2: And I'm so glad that Jonathan found my orson Wells
[1:39] Speaker 2: comparison to be like the funniest thing he's ever heard
[1:41] Speaker 2: in his life, because now I have an excuse to
[1:43] Speaker 2: play this as many times as I want.
[1:48] Speaker 4: Poor Orson Wells.
[1:50] Speaker 2: Yeah, have you seen that full commercial? Yeah? Out takes
[1:55] Speaker 2: for it.
[1:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, I've seen I've seen it all. I've seen it all.
[1:57] Speaker 2: I don't know what he was doing, but he really
[2:00] Speaker 2: is really enjoying that French champagne and that.
[2:02] Speaker 3: If you haven't.
[2:03] Speaker 2: Seen this, this is a PSA to all of our listeners.
[2:06] Speaker 2: Google Orson Wells French champagne and just watched the minute
[2:10] Speaker 2: and a half of outtakes of him going oh, the
[2:13] Speaker 2: friends Paul.
[2:15] Speaker 3: And the song known for his excellence.
[2:19] Speaker 4: Have you seen where when Star Wars would play on
[2:23] Speaker 4: TV and other countries, they edited in the commercial for
[2:27] Speaker 4: a beer seamlessly.
[2:31] Speaker 2: CHRISTI alright, alright, so this is about survivor.
[2:36] Speaker 4: Yeah. In fact, this is our super serious, super smart
[2:42] Speaker 4: We're not gonna be dumb at all because we've been
[2:44] Speaker 4: getting a lot of dumb accusations. They've been calling us dumb.
[2:49] Speaker 2: Do you really think that anything we say in this
[2:51] Speaker 2: episode is gonna make people think we're smart?
[2:54] Speaker 4: Yes, this is the super smart episode. So from this
[2:58] Speaker 4: point on, after.
[3:00] Speaker 5: Five minutes, off the top of the nonsense, we are
[3:04] Speaker 5: only talking super smart, super analytical, and there's a punishment
[3:10] Speaker 5: if one of us starts being dumb.
[3:13] Speaker 3: That's right, we will.
[3:15] Speaker 4: Well, we have to tase ourselves, all right.
[3:17] Speaker 3: Let me go to YouTube and type in taser sound effect.
[3:21] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I did too.
[3:23] Speaker 3: Oh stop, I didn't say anything.
[3:25] Speaker 4: Okay, sorry, sorry, I just tased PD right, you'll see that. Ow.
[3:31] Speaker 3: Oh my bad. I was just I was just loading it.
[3:33] Speaker 4: My bad.
[3:34] Speaker 3: Actually, can we can? We start with a Dalton Ross
[3:38] Speaker 3: article that I found hilarious?
[3:40] Speaker 4: Smart way to start it.
[3:42] Speaker 2: Dalton Ross is smart, and so is Jeff Probes. And
[3:46] Speaker 2: Dalton got to ask Jeff a few questions, and I
[3:49] Speaker 2: found this interview hilarious because Jeff said so much while.
[3:53] Speaker 3: Saying absolutely nothing.
[3:57] Speaker 2: The article on Entertainment Weekly was tied Jeff Probe's previews, Jury, Agendas,
[4:02] Speaker 2: and Unfinished Business in Survivor forty nine.
[4:05] Speaker 3: So I saw that title and I was intrigued.
[4:07] Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, what kind of insights is Jeff
[4:09] Speaker 2: going to give us into.
[4:10] Speaker 3: The final episode of this game?
[4:13] Speaker 4: Yeah?
[4:13] Speaker 2: So Dalton's first question, first off, give us a general
[4:16] Speaker 2: idea of what we can expect in the finale, and
[4:19] Speaker 2: Jeff says, you can expect exactly what a Survivor finale
[4:23] Speaker 2: should deliver. The culmination of everything these players have fought
[4:27] Speaker 2: through for twenty six days, the alliances, the fractures, the
[4:30] Speaker 2: risks that paid off, the ones that didn't.
[4:32] Speaker 3: It all converges.
[4:34] Speaker 2: The beauty of a Survivor finale is that you don't
[4:37] Speaker 2: need me to oversell it. The game is fully in
[4:39] Speaker 2: the player's hands. At this point, whatever happens happens because
[4:42] Speaker 2: they made it happen. In other words, the story they've
[4:45] Speaker 2: been writing all season finally reaches its last chapter and
[4:49] Speaker 2: we all get to discover the ending at the same time.
[4:52] Speaker 4: Look, I'll never get upset at Jeff for selling his
[4:54] Speaker 4: TV show. A lot of people will get upset with him.
[4:58] Speaker 4: Like earlier, this seas on a red carpet, he said,
[5:02] Speaker 4: Man the second after Merge, this season, man, it really
[5:06] Speaker 4: heats up. And you know what, was he entirely wrong? No,
[5:10] Speaker 4: there were a couple episodes post merge where we were
[5:13] Speaker 4: really hype, right, it was really crazy. But for the
[5:16] Speaker 4: most part, it's been a pretty basic season all round,
[5:19] Speaker 4: nothing exciting to really write home about. But what is
[5:23] Speaker 4: he supposed to do? Is he supposed to be on
[5:25] Speaker 4: a red car But like, yeah, you guys can skip
[5:27] Speaker 4: watching this season. We'll see you next season for fifty.
[5:29] Speaker 4: He's got to sell the show. That's his job.
[5:32] Speaker 2: I don't think that the issue. I mean, I don't
[5:36] Speaker 2: really have an issue with this interview at all. But
[5:38] Speaker 2: what stands out to me is that the question was,
[5:41] Speaker 2: first off, give us a general idea of what we
[5:44] Speaker 2: can expect in the finale, and he says, the players
[5:49] Speaker 2: have played the game and now it's going to end
[5:51] Speaker 2: in the way that it's going to end because of
[5:53] Speaker 2: how they played the game, and that survivor.
[5:57] Speaker 4: Yeah, he's he's got that. Johnson seen a non answer.
[6:02] Speaker 2: It's pr coach speak. The next question, what can you
[6:06] Speaker 2: say about this final five, either individually or collectively. What
[6:10] Speaker 2: I can say about this final five individually and collectively
[6:14] Speaker 2: is that they're the product of the game.
[6:16] Speaker 4: They play Jesus, every.
[6:18] Speaker 2: Move, every blind side, every moment of hesitation to courage,
[6:22] Speaker 2: it all adds up to who's still standing. And that's
[6:25] Speaker 2: always the most interesting thing about the final stretch. The
[6:28] Speaker 2: group remaining always reflects the season. All you have to
[6:31] Speaker 2: do to understand them is just look at the path
[6:33] Speaker 2: they took to get here.
[6:34] Speaker 3: The story is already on the screen.
[6:38] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the same answer. You game for the last player.
[6:42] Speaker 3: Or are you still defending him for selling a show?
[6:44] Speaker 3: Do you think? I don't think he's selling the show.
[6:45] Speaker 2: I think he's just saying the show is the show,
[6:48] Speaker 2: and what happens is what happens, and isn't that great?
[6:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it.
[6:53] Speaker 3: But I agree with him in a sense.
[6:56] Speaker 4: He's not wrong. He's not wrong the show.
[7:00] Speaker 3: The show is the show, and it is great because
[7:02] Speaker 3: it is and because the players do what they do.
[7:04] Speaker 3: It's how it clays out.
[7:05] Speaker 4: This is almost to be the super smart show. And
[7:07] Speaker 4: we're way smarter than Jeff Throbs. Right now, he sounds
[7:11] Speaker 4: like a moron.
[7:12] Speaker 3: I mean, I think Jeff is smarter than us.
[7:16] Speaker 2: He's just very intentionally not giving Dalton Ross anything he
[7:20] Speaker 2: can run with the final question here, what kind of
[7:25] Speaker 2: final tribal questions can we expect from this jury? And
[7:29] Speaker 2: Jeff says, you can expect the jury to ask the
[7:32] Speaker 2: questions they feel a need to be answered.
[7:35] Speaker 3: That's always how it works.
[7:37] Speaker 2: Every jury comes in with its own mix of emotions,
[7:39] Speaker 2: agenda's unfinished business, and hopefully a genuine desire to crown
[7:43] Speaker 2: a good winner for their season. Some want clarity, some
[7:46] Speaker 2: want accountability, Some want to test how self aware the
[7:49] Speaker 2: finalists really are. A good jury will always steer the
[7:52] Speaker 2: conversation toward whatever they believe will help them decide who
[7:55] Speaker 2: deserves the title. And that's exactly how it should be.
[7:58] Speaker 2: And the final three have to be ready for anything.
[8:01] Speaker 2: It's time to claim your prize.
[8:04] Speaker 4: All right. I am no longer defending Jeff. What kind
[8:10] Speaker 4: of answers can we expect? Jeff? Oh, you're gonna expect
[8:12] Speaker 4: the answers that we always kind of get when we
[8:14] Speaker 4: get a finale.
[8:16] Speaker 2: And the answers are always the right answers because the
[8:20] Speaker 2: players want the right things. I don't know, does this
[8:26] Speaker 2: interview make you super excited for the finale?
[8:29] Speaker 4: No, but how I am. I am very excited. And
[8:36] Speaker 4: I think that's what the Sanctuary episode is going to
[8:37] Speaker 4: be about, is us kind of speculating and predicting what
[8:41] Speaker 4: we think is going to happen, because this season has
[8:45] Speaker 4: very much gone a predictable way. However, I would argue
[8:51] Speaker 4: that our final five, some of them I did not expect.
[8:55] Speaker 4: In the final five.
[8:56] Speaker 2: Yep, definitely, maybe we should just run through each of
[8:58] Speaker 2: them talk about their chances.
[9:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we can start with Christina noting No.
[9:07] Speaker 4: Zero vote finalist at best. At worst, she's the next
[9:11] Speaker 4: one out. But I mean I never expected her to
[9:15] Speaker 4: make it this far. Good for her. But there's always
[9:17] Speaker 4: that one character that manages to make it to the
[9:20] Speaker 4: end that no one sees coming. And and that's usually
[9:25] Speaker 4: I mean, let's see, we had our good friend Sue Jake.
[9:29] Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, zero vote finalists in season forty five.
[9:33] Speaker 2: There's always somebody why can't we have three people that
[9:36] Speaker 2: all seemingly have a shot?
[9:39] Speaker 3: Ever, I don't.
[9:41] Speaker 4: Well, and it's because I think it's not to sound
[9:44] Speaker 4: like Jeff, but I think the game is designed because
[9:47] Speaker 4: the whole point that they brought, like the whole reason
[9:50] Speaker 4: that they make it a final three instead of a
[9:51] Speaker 4: final two is because it was becoming someone basically, the
[9:56] Speaker 4: person that's the obvious winner would bring a goat to
[10:01] Speaker 4: the final two so that way they easily win the
[10:03] Speaker 4: final two. That's why they introduce the final three. And yeah,
[10:09] Speaker 4: I agree, And that's why the final three is typically
[10:12] Speaker 4: two strong players with a good chance and then the
[10:15] Speaker 4: goat that they take with them. There's there's always going
[10:18] Speaker 4: to be that person that gets dragged to the finals
[10:21] Speaker 4: to help their chances. But we could I just.
[10:24] Speaker 2: Wish that one season it was like, I think all
[10:27] Speaker 2: three of these people could could win, and it's never
[10:30] Speaker 2: it never feels that way.
[10:31] Speaker 4: But that could be this season that that could be
[10:33] Speaker 4: what sets this season apart, because is this going to
[10:36] Speaker 4: be the first time that we get a final three
[10:38] Speaker 4: where it's Rizzo, Savannah, and Sophie Baldy.
[10:44] Speaker 2: I think that is going to be the final three,
[10:47] Speaker 2: But it depends on fire making.
[10:49] Speaker 4: Let's walk through the next steps and you tell me
[10:51] Speaker 4: how you think it's gonna play out. So first thing
[10:53] Speaker 4: that's gonna happen is we're gonna get a an elimination challenge,
[10:58] Speaker 4: an immunity challenge to drop the final five to the
[11:01] Speaker 4: final four. Who do you think goes home? Stephen, Christina,
[11:07] Speaker 4: Steven's going Sage, Sage Christina, Yeah, Sage Christina. I think
[11:14] Speaker 4: one of those two, or do you think one of
[11:16] Speaker 4: the Big three?
[11:17] Speaker 3: Mm hmm. It all depends on who wins immunity.
[11:22] Speaker 4: Let's let's let's say immunity goes to Savannah or.
[11:27] Speaker 3: What if it's a puzzle she's been winning with her apps.
[11:31] Speaker 4: Right, Well, then I mean out of Savannah Baldy, Rizzo, Christina,
[11:37] Speaker 4: and Sage. I still like the chances of Savannah, Rizzo
[11:40] Speaker 4: or Baldy winning the challenge.
[11:44] Speaker 3: Yeah, that is a good point. So I think, hmm,
[11:48] Speaker 3: I think they send Sage home next because it's a
[11:50] Speaker 3: bigger threat than Christina, because Sage at least has made
[11:55] Speaker 3: a move in the game. I think, yeah, just one
[11:58] Speaker 3: when she when she got Shannon out.
[12:01] Speaker 4: But yeah, well, also she flipped to get Steven out
[12:04] Speaker 4: last week.
[12:05] Speaker 3: Yeah too, I think to her detriment.
[12:08] Speaker 4: I agree, But you can see that as a move
[12:10] Speaker 4: if you wanted to, and.
[12:11] Speaker 2: If she was able to stay at the end, she
[12:13] Speaker 2: would be able to to use that in her But
[12:18] Speaker 2: I think that she's gonna be gone next and that
[12:20] Speaker 2: maybe we'll get another Jonathan song and.
[12:23] Speaker 4: Then then it's the Final four, right, So then at
[12:27] Speaker 4: that next challenge, are we Let's just assume Savannah wins
[12:34] Speaker 4: that challenge as well.
[12:35] Speaker 2: But it could be some emotion and I think Rizzo.
[12:39] Speaker 2: I don't know why.
[12:40] Speaker 3: I think Rizzo would be good at some emotion.
[12:42] Speaker 4: Okay, he hasn't done good at any of the endurance challenges.
[12:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, so if it's not, it depends on what the
[12:50] Speaker 3: challenge is.
[12:51] Speaker 2: There's so many variables like the fireworking and what the
[12:54] Speaker 2: challenge is.
[12:55] Speaker 4: It is basically, walk me through who who who who
[13:00] Speaker 4: was doing the fire making challenge. Regardless of who wins,
[13:03] Speaker 4: who do you think goes to fire making? Let's go
[13:05] Speaker 4: through each player. Savannah wins, she has to decide who
[13:09] Speaker 4: goes to fire making. I think she's putting Baldy and
[13:13] Speaker 4: Christina up against each other.
[13:16] Speaker 3: So she keeps Rizzo.
[13:18] Speaker 4: I think that she is determined to keep Rizzo to
[13:20] Speaker 4: the end. I mean, do you think we're going to
[13:22] Speaker 4: see a backstabbing happen this close to.
[13:24] Speaker 2: The I I think I think it needs to happen,
[13:27] Speaker 2: Like if either Rizzo or Savannah is in the power position,
[13:31] Speaker 2: I know they want to go to the end of
[13:32] Speaker 2: the game together at least at this point. But at
[13:34] Speaker 2: least Kyle and Camilla had the wherewithal to be like, hey,
[13:37] Speaker 2: if we go to the end together, we're cannibalizing each
[13:40] Speaker 2: other's game. Yeah yeah, And that's potentially what they could
[13:44] Speaker 2: be doing. But I think if Savannah wins the final
[13:47] Speaker 2: two challenges, if she won out, I don't think she
[13:50] Speaker 2: would have to send Rizzo to fire because she.
[13:52] Speaker 4: Has the good good I mean, she won pretty much
[13:54] Speaker 4: player everything.
[13:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Rizzo if he won the final challenge, I
[14:01] Speaker 2: think it would be a good idea for him to
[14:03] Speaker 2: send Savannah to fire.
[14:05] Speaker 4: And then I think if Baldy wins it, she's the
[14:09] Speaker 4: most likely to pull a kind of move to try
[14:13] Speaker 4: to win the season. Ideally, if Baldy wins, it would
[14:17] Speaker 4: be crazy to see a Savannah Rizzo fire making challenge.
[14:21] Speaker 4: That would be the best thing for entertainment value on TV.
[14:26] Speaker 4: I thought that one of the two players that we
[14:29] Speaker 4: know comes back is about to lose, not from a
[14:32] Speaker 4: vote out, but because they had to beat the other
[14:34] Speaker 4: one at fire making. That's the most entertaining result, even
[14:37] Speaker 4: more entertainment than.
[14:38] Speaker 3: That Pristina wins the final challenge exactly, Yeah.
[14:42] Speaker 4: Even more entertaining than that. Christina wins the challenge, she
[14:48] Speaker 4: puts Rizzo and Savannah up in fire making against each other.
[14:52] Speaker 4: Then she goes to the final three with Baldy and
[14:55] Speaker 4: whoever wins fire Making.
[14:57] Speaker 2: I think if I think the only way we get
[14:59] Speaker 2: Savannah Rizzo and fire Making is if Christina is able
[15:03] Speaker 2: to win the final Challenge or Sage depending on who
[15:06] Speaker 2: is left at that point, right, Because I don't think.
[15:09] Speaker 3: Baldy has the guts to do it.
[15:10] Speaker 4: I think Baldy does have the guts to do a
[15:13] Speaker 4: big move. She has been defending her her knowledge's power
[15:19] Speaker 4: play online the past couple days. What was she saying basically,
[15:23] Speaker 4: I mean, she's just she's saying to it the moment,
[15:26] Speaker 4: that's the best move for her to make. Just because
[15:27] Speaker 4: it wasn't the flashiest move and it wasn't the best
[15:31] Speaker 4: move for us to watch on TV doesn't mean that
[15:33] Speaker 4: it was the worst movie. Let's take a.
[15:36] Speaker 3: Step, but do you agree with Baldi?
[15:39] Speaker 4: I think that if she wins this season, which she
[15:41] Speaker 4: very well could, then I have no problems with what
[15:45] Speaker 4: she did. If she loses this season, I think she
[15:48] Speaker 4: lost because of that move.
[15:50] Speaker 2: I think she is going to lose because of that
[15:53] Speaker 2: because it was just I know brand was trying to
[15:56] Speaker 2: say it was all part of this forty chess plan,
[15:58] Speaker 2: But why would you in front of the jury misuse
[16:01] Speaker 2: your advantage for no reason?
[16:04] Speaker 3: It just doesn't make any sense.
[16:06] Speaker 4: And also, what she said online was that Rizzo's move
[16:10] Speaker 4: to lie about that his idol expires that tribal was
[16:14] Speaker 4: her idea, which again even.
[16:18] Speaker 3: More confusing to me as to why she didn't take Rizzo's.
[16:21] Speaker 4: Idol right Again, it sounds great like she's playing hard.
[16:27] Speaker 4: To the jury and to us the audience, we're not
[16:30] Speaker 4: seeing that stuff. It's looking like Rizzo's playing these big moves.
[16:35] Speaker 2: I don't I don't know if it's like that, we're
[16:38] Speaker 2: not seeing it.
[16:39] Speaker 3: It's that what she's trying to explain to me doesn't
[16:42] Speaker 3: make any sense.
[16:43] Speaker 4: Right.
[16:44] Speaker 2: She could have guaranteed herself final for by taking Rizzou's
[16:47] Speaker 2: idol because of the.
[16:48] Speaker 4: Votes, because she knows that that idol doesn't expire.
[16:52] Speaker 2: Yes, and then that would be like a mind blowing
[16:55] Speaker 2: to the jury. For if she really came up with
[16:58] Speaker 2: the idea for Rizzo to say that that, she could
[17:01] Speaker 2: be like, oh, by the way, I came up with this,
[17:03] Speaker 2: I stole it from him, and I'm using it to
[17:06] Speaker 2: guarantee that I'll make it to at least fire making.
[17:08] Speaker 3: It would be the game winning move.
[17:10] Speaker 4: Yes, I agree, that's exactly what I was about to say.
[17:12] Speaker 4: That would have been the game winning move for sure.
[17:14] Speaker 4: I still think that she could win this season. And
[17:18] Speaker 4: I'm taking let's take a step back from the gameplay
[17:21] Speaker 4: and from the season, and let's look at just the
[17:23] Speaker 4: players outside of the game. As this show's been airing,
[17:27] Speaker 4: the social media version of these players. Sage privated all
[17:31] Speaker 4: her accounts, said that she's she's done with Survivor. She
[17:35] Speaker 4: said that that part of her life is over. She
[17:37] Speaker 4: doesn't want to look back on it anymore. Does that
[17:40] Speaker 4: sound like a winner?
[17:42] Speaker 2: I guess for not getting her as a guest, but
[17:44] Speaker 2: she follow us back and we can see what she posts,
[17:48] Speaker 2: So we're in the very special club.
[17:50] Speaker 4: I guess.
[17:50] Speaker 3: Yes, So that's nice, But no, it doesn't say winner.
[17:54] Speaker 4: Doesn't seem like a winner. Baldy has been one of
[17:57] Speaker 4: the most active players on social media this season. She's
[18:01] Speaker 4: been giving updates about how she was playing her game.
[18:05] Speaker 4: She's been defending her choices and her actions. That feels
[18:09] Speaker 4: like to me, someone who might be the winner of
[18:12] Speaker 4: this season and is a little bit worried that people
[18:15] Speaker 4: are gonna think that she didn't. She's not a deserving winner.
[18:18] Speaker 3: I hope that's true.
[18:19] Speaker 2: To me, it's more like a giveaway that she didn't win,
[18:23] Speaker 2: and that she has like these feelings about the game
[18:28] Speaker 2: that she played and like wanting to explain it to people.
[18:31] Speaker 3: I think if you won, you'd be a little more
[18:33] Speaker 3: at peace.
[18:35] Speaker 4: And that is where we get to Savannah, who I
[18:38] Speaker 4: think has had the social media presence of a winner
[18:41] Speaker 4: this season, which is she'll make comments, she'll say things,
[18:46] Speaker 4: but she she really doesn't like defend anything. She's like, hey, like,
[18:50] Speaker 4: I mean, I think she's got the argument with Carolyn, Yes,
[18:55] Speaker 4: with Carolyn, but I think that was a different situation.
[18:57] Speaker 4: That's that's beef with Survivor. She's not arguing with fans, gorl,
[19:03] Speaker 4: what are you doing out there?
[19:07] Speaker 3: Why are we arguing in DMS? This is so weird?
[19:11] Speaker 4: Can I just say my like, if I just look
[19:15] Speaker 4: at it without any thought and I just go, what
[19:17] Speaker 4: do I think happens? What have I thought was gonna
[19:20] Speaker 4: happen since before the season started? Just looking at who
[19:22] Speaker 4: we know comes back? Savannah's the winner, Rizzo loses a
[19:27] Speaker 4: fire making or he just played such a good game
[19:30] Speaker 4: he deserved that's why he came back. And then Baldy
[19:33] Speaker 4: might be our zero vote finalist if they get to
[19:36] Speaker 4: the final three.
[19:36] Speaker 2: Like that, I've been thinking Baldy could win for most
[19:40] Speaker 2: of the game. She just gave me that kind of
[19:42] Speaker 2: energy up until here recently the cash app and Venmo revelation.
[19:48] Speaker 2: So you're right that Savannah, just like it's the same
[19:52] Speaker 2: thing as when she was in the game.
[19:53] Speaker 3: She just carries herself like a winner.
[19:55] Speaker 4: But let's take into consideration fifty has already been filmed.
[20:00] Speaker 4: So is she acting like that because one, she's just
[20:03] Speaker 4: not allowed to say as much as someone who wasn't
[20:05] Speaker 4: on season fifty, or she could have won Season fifty,
[20:10] Speaker 4: So she is a winner, just not this time.
[20:13] Speaker 3: It's possible.
[20:14] Speaker 2: And then we get to Rizzo, who online has just
[20:17] Speaker 2: been you know what you would expect.
[20:20] Speaker 4: Yeah, he's just been goofy. He's been doing a lot
[20:22] Speaker 4: of cameos, he's been doing a lot of teend the discourse.
[20:25] Speaker 3: He's never arguing with people.
[20:27] Speaker 4: He comes from the pro wrestling school of being a
[20:30] Speaker 4: public figure, which is he's all about entertainment and he'll
[20:34] Speaker 4: do cameos and he's doing funny tiktoks with his girlfriend.
[20:38] Speaker 4: He's not getting into the online Survivor discourse one because
[20:41] Speaker 4: he doesn't need to. Two probably doesn't have to, you
[20:45] Speaker 4: know what I mean, Like he was on Survivor fifty already.
[20:48] Speaker 3: He could be a million dollars richer from one of
[20:51] Speaker 3: the seasons, who knows, or.
[20:52] Speaker 4: Two million dollars richer. That's what's so exciting about this
[20:56] Speaker 4: because this is our first time seeing a returning season
[20:59] Speaker 4: a lot, and this is all super smart. We haven't
[21:02] Speaker 4: had to taze each other. We're being very, very smart.
[21:05] Speaker 3: No, because I think we actually got interested in discussing
[21:08] Speaker 3: how all this plays out, which is, yeah, is weird
[21:11] Speaker 3: because usually we're supposed to ah doing stuff like that.
[21:17] Speaker 4: And that doesn't count as stupid because that was just
[21:19] Speaker 4: a very smart take on what we would usually do.
[21:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, So you think Savannah's got it? I think that
[21:26] Speaker 2: if Savannah and Rizzo both make it to the end,
[21:29] Speaker 2: I genuinely think Rizzo has a better case unless Savannah
[21:33] Speaker 2: wins out, and then it's just like, yes, I.
[21:36] Speaker 4: Think it's a Savannah win because like, here's the thing.
[21:39] Speaker 4: Baldy strikes me as the type of person that if
[21:42] Speaker 4: she won forty nine and they asked her to come
[21:45] Speaker 4: back for fifty, I think she would have done it.
[21:48] Speaker 4: So the fact that she's not returning for fifty makes
[21:51] Speaker 4: me think maybe she doesn't win. It just doesn't come
[21:53] Speaker 4: across as like as a winner. I think Savannah and
[21:55] Speaker 4: Rizzo both they've both played a big enough game to
[21:59] Speaker 4: come back for fifty without winning. But at this point,
[22:02] Speaker 4: at the final five, I would be very shocked if
[22:05] Speaker 4: one of those two are not the winner.
[22:08] Speaker 2: So let's say Savannah wins one of the next two challenges,
[22:13] Speaker 2: her and Rizzo both make it to the end.
[22:15] Speaker 3: Who do you think is the winner?
[22:16] Speaker 4: Who do you what do you think? What's your opinion?
[22:19] Speaker 2: I think Final Tribal could have a pretty big impact
[22:22] Speaker 2: on it. And I think we've joked about the fact
[22:25] Speaker 2: that she kept secret that she's a reporter. But if
[22:28] Speaker 2: she spent her entire life in front of a camera
[22:31] Speaker 2: and communications and stuff, it's a little bit different than Rizzo,
[22:36] Speaker 2: who speaks in memes. She's a professional and is very
[22:41] Speaker 2: good at getting her point across, and I think that.
[22:44] Speaker 3: That gives her an edge there.
[22:46] Speaker 2: But I think if Rizzo is able to articulate all
[22:50] Speaker 2: the moves that he's made, then he should be the winner.
[22:53] Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree. I think Rizzo has made flashier moves
[22:59] Speaker 4: at tribal in front of the jury, and yeah, Savannah
[23:08] Speaker 4: has obviously been a challenge beast, which definitely helps her case.
[23:16] Speaker 4: I think you're absolutely right. Whichever one of them can
[23:19] Speaker 4: can get their point across at the final tribal. Of
[23:22] Speaker 4: this is all of the movies that I did. This
[23:25] Speaker 4: is what I was responsible for. I think Savannah has
[23:29] Speaker 4: played the better game, quote unquote, but I think Rizzo
[23:34] Speaker 4: has played a better visual Like hey, I'm, I'm I've
[23:40] Speaker 4: shown you guys that I've had this idol for five weeks.
[23:44] Speaker 4: In every tribal, I leave here with my idol in
[23:47] Speaker 4: my pocket, and that's.
[23:49] Speaker 2: Such a my ally, Like I had such a good
[23:51] Speaker 2: relationship with Baldy that she could have stolen my idol
[23:54] Speaker 2: that I was so public about and she.
[23:56] Speaker 4: Didn't do it, and I can and he could even
[23:58] Speaker 4: lean into I convinced her not to. I was such
[24:02] Speaker 4: a good social player that everyone let me keep my eyedol,
[24:06] Speaker 4: let me go all the way to the end, and
[24:08] Speaker 4: I didn't have to win challenges. I didn't have to do.
[24:11] Speaker 4: You know. I think that he has a good case
[24:15] Speaker 4: if he can express it like how you said. But
[24:17] Speaker 4: Savannah has definitely played the stronger game.
[24:21] Speaker 2: And then if one of them goes home in fire Making,
[24:25] Speaker 2: then whichever one wins fire Making, it's gonna win the game.
[24:32] Speaker 4: And I think for the entertainment value of the season,
[24:35] Speaker 4: I think that's got how it's gotta be.
[24:37] Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll see if we get there.
[24:38] Speaker 4: I don't know, we'll find out and forty eight hours.
[24:44] Speaker 3: I am very excited to watch this me too. Even
[24:48] Speaker 3: if the interview was stupid, we've.
[24:51] Speaker 4: Made up for it with our super smart analytical episode. Yeah.
[24:56] Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing, guys, and I've kind of been
[24:59] Speaker 3: holding back on this. I wasn't going to say this
[25:01] Speaker 3: about the finale, but I'm going to say it right now.
[25:03] Speaker 2: The thing about Survivor is like it starts off with
[25:07] Speaker 2: sixteen people or what is it eighteen? Do we start
[25:11] Speaker 2: with eighteen and then sometimes four? When you get to
[25:15] Speaker 2: the end of the game, there are five people left. Yeah,
[25:18] Speaker 2: and those five people are there because of decisions.
[25:21] Speaker 3: They made in the end and in the.
[25:24] Speaker 2: Game, and that's why the game played out the way
[25:27] Speaker 2: that it did. And the final chapter is decided by
[25:30] Speaker 2: everything that happened to the previous points in the game,
[25:35] Speaker 2: you know, decisions that those five players made. And so
[25:38] Speaker 2: now that we get to the end of it, it's
[25:40] Speaker 2: the final chapter and the story rights itself.
[25:43] Speaker 4: I was going to tase you, but everything you said
[25:46] Speaker 4: is one true. I can't pick out one thing that
[25:52] Speaker 4: was stupid or wrong or dumb.
[25:54] Speaker 2: And then the jury is going to ask questions, and
[25:56] Speaker 2: the questions they ask are going to be like really
[26:01] Speaker 2: meaningful to them because they'll get the answers that they want,
[26:04] Speaker 2: hopefully yes, or at least they'll get the answer they
[26:06] Speaker 2: want from a certain player, and that will influence who
[26:09] Speaker 2: they vote for in the final three.
[26:11] Speaker 4: Right, that's the hope.
[26:13] Speaker 3: I love CVS. I appreciate d.
[26:18] Speaker 4: I mean, I think I think we've said everything that
[26:20] Speaker 4: we need to say about I mean, yeah, I think
[26:28] Speaker 4: it's pretty the most shocking thing that could happen, which
[26:34] Speaker 4: I would be I don't even know if I would
[26:37] Speaker 4: be upset because I would be so shocked. Is a
[26:40] Speaker 4: Sage or Christina win. I'm here for it.
[26:43] Speaker 3: It's just so unlikely that I can't even get excited.
[26:45] Speaker 4: Here. The worst thing that could ever happen to us,
[26:49] Speaker 4: worst thing that could ever happen to us PB and
[26:51] Speaker 4: Chase is if Sage wins this season and Jonathan is
[26:54] Speaker 4: a back to back making the mercher You're.
[26:58] Speaker 2: Right, then, yeah, if it was Jonathan would win. I
[27:01] Speaker 2: would rather Brand win.
[27:02] Speaker 4: I would rather Brand get his first draft win, then
[27:06] Speaker 4: Jonathan be a back to back winner going into fifty,
[27:09] Speaker 4: because if then if he won fifty, I don't think
[27:13] Speaker 4: we I don't think we could do the show anymore
[27:15] Speaker 4: because he would be the greatest Survivor Draft player of
[27:17] Speaker 4: all time.
[27:18] Speaker 2: If that happened, Yeah, that would make me hate Survivor from.
[27:23] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, me too. I would. I would join Drop
[27:27] Speaker 4: your Buffs podcast.
[27:29] Speaker 3: Nice, I would.
[27:31] Speaker 2: I would do something with Teg and then maybe people
[27:33] Speaker 2: would stop calling me dumb. I think the mistake that
[27:36] Speaker 2: I made with starting making the merge is that I
[27:39] Speaker 2: reached out to you, Jonathan and Kristen.
[27:40] Speaker 3: I mean, Kristen very smart.
[27:44] Speaker 2: But I think if I had just like maybe of like, hey, Kristen,
[27:47] Speaker 2: do you want to do a podcast with me and
[27:49] Speaker 2: TEG with then yeah I would. Then I would be
[27:52] Speaker 2: in like the smart camp. But I made the wrong choice.
[27:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, you'd picked the dumb. You picked some clowns, you
[27:59] Speaker 4: know what I mean? You need to pick a Hardvard
[28:02] Speaker 4: grad like Kristen.
[28:04] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, all right. I think that does it for the.
[28:08] Speaker 4: Same time, me too. What what is how do we
[28:13] Speaker 4: end this out? Let's do let's do a bet. Let's
[28:14] Speaker 4: let's make a bet. If you had to put money
[28:18] Speaker 4: on a player winning, who you putting money on.
[28:21] Speaker 2: Let's say it's like a significant amount of money, and
[28:26] Speaker 2: so that way I have to be honest, like if
[28:28] Speaker 2: I had to bet five hundred thousand dollars, So I
[28:31] Speaker 2: have to feel really good about this or I'll be at.
[28:37] Speaker 3: Savannah.
[28:40] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'll tell you what. Let's let's make a
[28:44] Speaker 4: bet just between me and you, not as high stakes
[28:46] Speaker 4: as five hundred thousand the U this month's Patreon earnings.
[28:51] Speaker 4: But I also think it's savadas. I don't even if
[28:53] Speaker 4: we can make a bet like this.
[28:54] Speaker 2: I Thinknah, that isn't that money is supposed to be
[28:57] Speaker 2: split among four different people and the we're gonna bet
[29:00] Speaker 2: it amongst ourselves.
[29:01] Speaker 3: Can we do that? Can we just gamble the pictureon money?
[29:04] Speaker 4: And I'm totally fine with not giving Jonathan his guy okay, perfect,
[29:11] Speaker 4: but I don't know how this would work because I
[29:12] Speaker 4: think we were on the same page. We both agree.
[29:17] Speaker 4: I've already lost the draft, so I don't even really
[29:19] Speaker 4: have a fighting player in the finale. I just am
[29:22] Speaker 4: rooting for who I think deserves to win and should win.
[29:25] Speaker 2: And I think that no matter what, I'm gonna have
[29:28] Speaker 2: somebody in the final three, which is just what I
[29:30] Speaker 2: have to hold on to at this point because Baldi. Yeah,
[29:35] Speaker 2: so I feel like I'm pretty much guaranteed to be
[29:37] Speaker 2: in the final three. And that's something that I've accomplished
[29:40] Speaker 2: every single draft that we've done.
[29:42] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, good for you man.
[29:46] Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I very much like the Steelers. We're
[29:50] Speaker 2: getting away farther and farther away from winning a championship,
[29:54] Speaker 2: but we're always around.
[29:56] Speaker 4: Yeah, you're you're a top player, and it breaks my
[30:00] Speaker 4: to know that I'm not a top player.
[30:03] Speaker 3: That's side.
[30:03] Speaker 4: You know, Chase is fake idols. I was insulted when
[30:07] Speaker 4: not a lot of people joined my team this season,
[30:11] Speaker 4: the fake idols. But now I understand they saw something
[30:13] Speaker 4: that I didn't, which is don't bet on Chase. He's bad.
[30:16] Speaker 4: He's bad. You know, I'm a bad general manager? What's that?
[30:21] Speaker 2: I think Madden Franchise Mode would help you? I have,
[30:24] Speaker 2: you know, I I'm so used to looking at these
[30:27] Speaker 2: sheets of AI generated players.
[30:30] Speaker 3: And having to make decisions, and that's and that's what
[30:33] Speaker 3: I don't have.
[30:34] Speaker 4: I don't have that. Dang. I am just to take
[30:38] Speaker 4: a couple more minutes on this episode four season fifties
[30:42] Speaker 4: Draft because we have the rule that for round one
[30:46] Speaker 4: of the draft, you get a hold on any players
[30:50] Speaker 4: that you have drafted previously that are returning you have
[30:54] Speaker 4: so many players coming back. Yeah, you have Rizzo, d Charlie, Tiffany, Tiffany,
[31:04] Speaker 4: and I have Camilla Camilla. Yeah, so you have five
[31:09] Speaker 4: players coming back, which I have Q. And that's it.
[31:18] Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure. But Q, are you basically what I'm
[31:24] Speaker 4: asking not to give away your draft strategy to someone
[31:27] Speaker 4: like me who really needs help. But are you planning
[31:30] Speaker 4: on taking a returning player draft one or are you
[31:35] Speaker 4: hoping for last pick? Because then you get to put
[31:39] Speaker 4: a hold for the whole first round on all of
[31:41] Speaker 4: your former players, all five of them, and you get
[31:44] Speaker 4: to draft two of them in a row.
[31:47] Speaker 2: I am hoping for the last pick because that's the
[31:50] Speaker 2: ideal position to be in.
[31:52] Speaker 4: Yes, it is this season, in.
[31:54] Speaker 2: Particular season, as you know, it's not usually that way.
[31:58] Speaker 3: But here's my answer. It's all that Chase. What did
[32:03] Speaker 3: Mike Bloom say about me?
[32:05] Speaker 4: Said you can't spell PB without D.
[32:08] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's all I'm gonna say.
[32:12] Speaker 4: I totally understand. And you do know what Jonathan's gonna
[32:17] Speaker 4: do though, right, He's gonna try to take as many
[32:19] Speaker 4: as your former players as possible. In fact, if he
[32:22] Speaker 4: has the possibility to, he might try to take full
[32:25] Speaker 4: all four.
[32:27] Speaker 2: You know what he can try and then I'll take Genevieve,
[32:31] Speaker 2: so it'll be you know, like, if he wants to
[32:34] Speaker 2: play that game, I'll snatch up Genevieve.
[32:38] Speaker 4: Yeah, dang, dude. Well, guys, thank you so much for listening.
[32:41] Speaker 4: This is the last regular Sanctuary of the season. We
[32:46] Speaker 4: will have the finale episode up this week Thursday.
[32:50] Speaker 2: Such a flex to say, what did Mike Bloom say
[32:53] Speaker 2: about me? Never thought I'd be able to say that
[32:55] Speaker 2: sentence ever.
[32:58] Speaker 4: Heck, yeah dude. And then, of course, guys, get excited.
[33:02] Speaker 4: Stick around for just the next week after the finale,
[33:06] Speaker 4: where we will be doing our Mergie Awards and we
[33:09] Speaker 4: will be giving given out awards to the players of
[33:12] Speaker 4: this season.
[33:14] Speaker 6: You're about to hear some ads that helped keep the
[33:16] Speaker 6: lights on here in the old studio. Thanks for listening
[33:21] Speaker 6: or don't listen. It's really up to you. At this point.
[33:24] Speaker 6: It is at the end of the show. I mean,
[33:26] Speaker 6: you're listening to me, Hi, But here they come. I
[33:29] Speaker 6: promise they're coming. Yep, here they are. Happy Day.
