[0:01] Speaker 1: Put your clothes on, Fatty, You're not the island Hota
[0:08] Speaker 1: dam Fatty wants.
[0:15] Speaker 2: To see your junk. That was Jeff Probs to everyone,
[0:20] Speaker 2: Jeff Probe sing a song called put your clothes on,
[0:23] Speaker 2: Fatty on what platform? So, and this is what we're
[0:26] Speaker 2: gonna get into because everybody.
[0:30] Speaker 3: Yeah, welcome to the first episode of Making the Merged
[0:33] Speaker 3: time Machine.
[0:34] Speaker 4: I was thinking, you know, I was like, we're gonna
[0:36] Speaker 4: do a new theme song. I was thinking, like like back.
[0:38] Speaker 2: To the Future music singing. Yeah, all right, So I
[0:43] Speaker 2: was just let's probably end up getting an official theme
[0:46] Speaker 2: song for this show eventually. But because this episode is
[0:50] Speaker 2: the we're gonna be breaking down the first episode of
[0:53] Speaker 2: Survivor Cook Island.
[0:55] Speaker 3: Cook Island, For what reason did you feel the need
[0:58] Speaker 3: to start with the Jeff Probe's fat shame?
[1:00] Speaker 2: Because Jeff Probes did an episode of Mad TV to
[1:04] Speaker 2: promote Cook Islands the Race War season, where he proceeded
[1:10] Speaker 2: to put out a bunch of songs, one of which
[1:13] Speaker 2: we'll get to in a moment is the most racist
[1:15] Speaker 2: thing I've ever heard.
[1:17] Speaker 3: Okay, and I think we should go ahead and address this. Yes,
[1:21] Speaker 3: we're gonna talk about this a lot. You called it
[1:24] Speaker 3: the race war season. I don't know if I would
[1:26] Speaker 3: like to call it that. Every time we talked.
[1:28] Speaker 4: About we call it occasionally. And I think it's also
[1:30] Speaker 4: important to bring up the fact that in Fast and Furious,
[1:35] Speaker 4: too okay, they're too fast, too fast, too furious. I
[1:40] Speaker 4: think it's too fast to Furious. Yeah, because so too fast,
[1:46] Speaker 4: too furious. You know, Vin Diesel's barely in that movie.
[1:50] Speaker 2: They go to a race. What's the race called? Race?
[1:53] Speaker 2: Is it really fun? So?
[1:56] Speaker 4: I don't know how that's related to this season of Survivor,
[2:01] Speaker 4: but if it might, they can do it, we can
[2:03] Speaker 4: do it.
[2:03] Speaker 2: It wouldn't surprise me. We didn't do this three white
[2:09] Speaker 2: guys talking about Survivor. Didn't you come up racially ambiguous?
[2:15] Speaker 2: Is what I prefer.
[2:16] Speaker 4: I just think they did this to themselves, the folks
[2:20] Speaker 4: that Survivor did this to them.
[2:21] Speaker 2: So it gets crazy and we're gonna talk about it.
[2:24] Speaker 3: And the fans of our show did this to us,
[2:27] Speaker 3: and we gave them four options and they're like, we're
[2:30] Speaker 3: gonna make them talk about the split them up by
[2:33] Speaker 3: race season.
[2:33] Speaker 4: So and I'm bummed because I was three episodes end
[2:36] Speaker 4: of this season when the vote took place, and so
[2:38] Speaker 4: then I had to stop.
[2:39] Speaker 2: Brand go ahead and say your thoughts on do you
[2:42] Speaker 2: think it was a good idea to separate the tribes
[2:44] Speaker 2: by race? Yeah?
[2:45] Speaker 5: I did.
[2:47] Speaker 2: Great tv PD, What.
[2:50] Speaker 3: Do you think I also, I think it made for
[2:52] Speaker 3: a good It made for a compelling season. A lot
[2:55] Speaker 3: of great characters came out of this one.
[2:57] Speaker 4: No one in their heart of hearts hates this idea
[2:59] Speaker 4: for a television show.
[3:01] Speaker 2: Here's a season of Survivor. I loved it when I
[3:04] Speaker 2: first went to it. Every season, right.
[3:07] Speaker 3: No, but the reason why I loved it the first
[3:10] Speaker 3: time I watched through this was because I was like,
[3:13] Speaker 3: usually we only get one to two Asian people or
[3:16] Speaker 3: black people.
[3:16] Speaker 2: Tops. I'm glad you brought that up because that was
[3:18] Speaker 2: Jeff Probe's argument. Okay, so why don't we go ahead
[3:21] Speaker 2: and I'm gonna I'm gonna give a little backstore out here.
[3:25] Speaker 2: We're gonna have a lot to talk about this episode
[3:26] Speaker 2: before we even start into the episode, because it's bat
[3:29] Speaker 2: insane everything that happens before this. Okay, we might spend
[3:32] Speaker 2: more time on this than that episode. Yeah. So basically,
[3:38] Speaker 2: this season was announced at the live finale of the
[3:41] Speaker 2: previous season, like always, Immediately it started causing backlash online.
[3:46] Speaker 2: There were rumors that sponsors were pulling out, like it
[3:48] Speaker 2: was a big deal. It was a hot topic. What
[3:51] Speaker 2: year was this. It was season seventeen, so season so
[3:56] Speaker 2: this would have been I think, oh six.
[3:58] Speaker 3: Okay, this is the first one I remember watching on TV.
[4:01] Speaker 3: You watched it love, yes, yeah, two thousand and six,
[4:03] Speaker 3: so this is my third time watching this season.
[4:06] Speaker 2: So immediately controversy. Right before the season airs, Jeff Probes
[4:11] Speaker 2: does a press run to try to defend the show
[4:15] Speaker 2: and to you know, convince people to still watch.
[4:18] Speaker 4: And he still wouldn't come on our podcast. It's unbelievable.
[4:21] Speaker 4: I was seven years old when this happened. Hey, Jeff,
[4:24] Speaker 4: you think it's a good idea.
[4:27] Speaker 2: So this is this clip that brand's about to play.
[4:30] Speaker 2: It's a little it's about a minute and a half long.
[4:32] Speaker 2: This is Jeff defending the season. Why they did it
[4:35] Speaker 2: to the view? Oh, go ahead and go ahead hit it, Brandon.
[4:39] Speaker 5: Okay, we were getting bored, We were we were running
[4:43] Speaker 5: out of ideas that were really fresh. One of the
[4:45] Speaker 5: ideas that came up is what are we criticized for?
[4:47] Speaker 5: We're criticized all the time for the show not being
[4:49] Speaker 5: representative of America being too white.
[4:51] Speaker 2: That's true. So then put blacks and whites on the
[4:53] Speaker 2: same team, just bring.
[4:54] Speaker 1: More diversity, and why do they have to be separated, Like, well,
[4:58] Speaker 1: that's one American.
[4:59] Speaker 5: That was original idea was let's just have a very
[5:02] Speaker 5: ethnically diverse cast, in Mark Burnett's words, the biggest in
[5:05] Speaker 5: the history of TV. It was when we started bringing
[5:07] Speaker 5: people in and started talking that we realized as as
[5:10] Speaker 5: as a group, Hispanic culture, there's a lot of pride,
[5:14] Speaker 5: there's a lot of ethnic prize. The Olympics.
[5:17] Speaker 2: Yes, didn't you.
[5:19] Speaker 1: Lose a lot of advertisers because of this concept?
[5:21] Speaker 2: You know what?
[5:21] Speaker 5: That is absolutely, to the best of my knowledge, been misinformation.
[5:27] Speaker 5: I was told GM, for instance, pulled out months before
[5:30] Speaker 5: we even came up with the creative decision to do this,
[5:32] Speaker 5: and we've got a full slatest sponsors. I don't know why.
[5:35] Speaker 2: I think it's a great idea. I don't know why,
[5:37] Speaker 2: but I think it would be interesting. You know, it
[5:40] Speaker 2: would be a bad idea. It would be to assume
[5:42] Speaker 2: that every single person in those groups is essentially a racist, right, Well,
[5:46] Speaker 2: it doesn't mean that they are. It's just that, you know,
[5:48] Speaker 2: we fought all.
[5:48] Speaker 4: Of these years for integration and now we have segregation
[5:51] Speaker 4: on television.
[5:52] Speaker 2: I just don't think it's right.
[5:53] Speaker 5: Well, here's what I get that. I get that the
[5:56] Speaker 5: initial reaction when you hear it. I understand the flinch
[5:59] Speaker 5: and like, well, I don't know if this is right
[6:01] Speaker 5: or not. That The feeling I have is he you
[6:03] Speaker 5: have to watch how we did it and what happens,
[6:06] Speaker 5: and b it's just like what you what what you
[6:08] Speaker 5: said about with Damon? You know, I'm uncomfortable watching that
[6:11] Speaker 5: and he said, that's why we're doing it, And you
[6:13] Speaker 5: guys have hot topics and it's uncomfortable to listen to
[6:15] Speaker 5: you guys.
[6:16] Speaker 2: I don't know who the winner is, but if the
[6:18] Speaker 2: winner is white.
[6:21] Speaker 5: And why yeah, exactly incorrect. I don't know.
[6:28] Speaker 2: Would you like to know the funniest part of this?
[6:30] Speaker 2: You have to cut it off there, man, I'd listen
[6:33] Speaker 2: to that whole up. Would you like to know the
[6:35] Speaker 2: funniest part of that whole episode of you instead of us?
[6:38] Speaker 2: The funniest part about that episode of the view, all
[6:41] Speaker 2: of those four hosts, white ladies talking about how they
[6:44] Speaker 2: need they didn't add whoop yet? No, this is two
[6:48] Speaker 2: thousand and six, they had Rosy o'dos Did they have
[6:50] Speaker 2: Sharon Osbourne? No? No, it was before that too, Candice Cameron.
[6:54] Speaker 2: I don't know who that is. Elizabeth Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Dude, guys,
[6:58] Speaker 2: how much view did you? Guys? I don't know, but yeah,
[7:03] Speaker 2: Jeff is defending the race War Season four, White Women,
[7:09] Speaker 2: Daytime Television. Rosie, I don't love the idea.
[7:12] Speaker 4: Rosie loved the show. She was still a fan of
[7:15] Speaker 4: Survivor at this point. I assume every.
[7:17] Speaker 2: Plan was So here's some more backstory of how this
[7:20] Speaker 2: even happened, right, what would who came up with this
[7:24] Speaker 2: idea to separate the tribes by race? Well, there was
[7:27] Speaker 2: an email sent in to a different Survivor podcast several
[7:31] Speaker 2: several years ago, claiming to be someone that was like
[7:33] Speaker 2: involved in production back then. Okay, and this is what
[7:37] Speaker 2: that email essentially said. I can't wait, wait, hold on,
[7:40] Speaker 2: do you know what podcast? It was? Survivor historians. Okay,
[7:44] Speaker 2: and we believe this to be true from everything I
[7:47] Speaker 2: looked like, backed checking wise, they seem to take it
[7:51] Speaker 2: as a serious.
[7:53] Speaker 4: Historians are pretty uh yeah, trust it's not them that
[7:57] Speaker 4: I don't trust it because he's also he told me
[8:00] Speaker 4: Casey Anthony was going to be on Traders.
[8:02] Speaker 2: And but Chase. There was rumors going around that Casey
[8:12] Speaker 2: Anthony was gonna be on Trader. That'd be incredible. No,
[8:15] Speaker 2: it wouldn't be guys as the only one here from Florida.
[8:20] Speaker 3: No, you don't get to speak for all of Florida.
[8:22] Speaker 3: I think Casey Anthony would be good on TV. It
[8:26] Speaker 3: sounds like okay.
[8:28] Speaker 2: Uh so, Mark, this is what the email essentially said.
[8:30] Speaker 2: Mark Burnett originally wanted the race separation idea for The Apprentice,
[8:35] Speaker 2: which was Donald Trump's reality shut it down, but NBC
[8:40] Speaker 2: mixed the idea because they did not want to risk
[8:43] Speaker 2: one of their few hit shows going down because of
[8:45] Speaker 2: a controversial twist. So CBS said, I we'll do it,
[8:49] Speaker 2: because they were far less reliant on Survivor's ratings because
[8:53] Speaker 2: of all of the other hit shows that they had
[8:55] Speaker 2: at the time. Jeff Probes agreed to the idea because
[8:58] Speaker 2: it was This was during the part where Jeff was
[9:00] Speaker 2: getting sick of Survivor and he wanted to be done
[9:02] Speaker 2: with it right, so he thought it would be a
[9:04] Speaker 2: good way to go out with a bang.
[9:07] Speaker 4: This is what four or five seasons before he becomes
[9:10] Speaker 4: like an EP and it starts getting.
[9:11] Speaker 2: It's before I think it's Gabond, I could get bone
[9:14] Speaker 2: gabone when he threatens to quit and they make him
[9:18] Speaker 2: an executive producer and show runner stuff. So he basically
[9:22] Speaker 2: wanted this to ruin the show. Supposedly, this is all
[9:25] Speaker 2: allegedly right. CBS's main worry was that they were going
[9:30] Speaker 2: to get to the Merge without any of the minority
[9:32] Speaker 2: groups present, and so that you know, that wouldn't be possible. Well,
[9:38] Speaker 2: that was their fear. This are the producers the higher ups,
[9:40] Speaker 2: right or very at the very least very little, Yeah, right, Yeah,
[9:45] Speaker 2: they didn't want it to be because I mean, how many.
[9:49] Speaker 2: So there's twenty castaways the merge, so yeah, ten people
[9:53] Speaker 2: make the merge, so it starts with six on each tribe, right, right,
[9:57] Speaker 2: So if you have six white guys at merge, five
[10:00] Speaker 2: on each. Yeah, we don't not do math anyway. That
[10:03] Speaker 2: was their fear. But Jeff was more than happy to
[10:06] Speaker 2: let things play out, because you know, I think he
[10:08] Speaker 2: was kind of one the ship we go down. CBS
[10:10] Speaker 2: and production were freaking out after some stuff that happens
[10:14] Speaker 2: in the first few episodes of the show. It got
[10:17] Speaker 2: to the point where even Jeff started to get worried
[10:20] Speaker 2: that maybe maybe this wasn't gonna just in survive, it
[10:23] Speaker 2: might ruin his career. Uh So there were very there
[10:26] Speaker 2: were many high level meetings about bringing in more producers
[10:30] Speaker 2: to figure out how to fix the show as it's shooting.
[10:33] Speaker 2: Can't do that. They thought about just ending production halfway
[10:37] Speaker 2: through the season, cutting all the contestants to check for
[10:40] Speaker 2: a million dollars to sign an NDA, and just riding
[10:43] Speaker 2: it out and being like, we're done. I don't know
[10:45] Speaker 2: if I believe this. There were several different sources that
[10:50] Speaker 2: said that kind of stuff, but a million to each
[10:54] Speaker 2: of them. Just now this next part. I don't understand
[10:59] Speaker 2: what Jeff was thinking. Okay, I don't understand what Jeff
[11:02] Speaker 2: if he wanted the show to get canceled, he was
[11:04] Speaker 2: doing good. But yeah, this song comes up. I mean, dude,
[11:10] Speaker 2: I can't so if.
[11:12] Speaker 4: It's what I think it is, it is what I
[11:14] Speaker 4: brought to the uh probably the jeffisode. Yes, you recall
[11:19] Speaker 4: I brought each brought the most out of context Jeff
[11:23] Speaker 4: Probs quotes, and I brought a song that I is
[11:27] Speaker 4: related to this season.
[11:29] Speaker 2: I will lead into the song with this statement made
[11:31] Speaker 2: by Jeff promoting the new season. Mm hmm. As to
[11:36] Speaker 2: any incidents of bigotry, Jeff wouldn't comment, saying that's the
[11:40] Speaker 2: reason you would tune in to see how it all
[11:42] Speaker 2: plays out, and tune in. We shout this Thursday at
[11:45] Speaker 2: eight pm Eastern on CBS, and here's a.
[11:49] Speaker 5: Song about this season's racially divided tribes that I sing
[11:52] Speaker 5: with my dear friend, Queen Latine.
[11:58] Speaker 2: Then she is taking down my head Latin solder to
[12:03] Speaker 2: them occasion.
[12:06] Speaker 1: Thank god there ain't no Indians because they's count for
[12:08] Speaker 1: you within the night.
[12:10] Speaker 5: Maybe this wasn't such a good.
[12:12] Speaker 6: Idea My nails done?
[12:15] Speaker 2: Where them girls from Korea? Dude, I'm very uncomfortable. It's crazy.
[12:22] Speaker 2: I only played the first part and hear the rest
[12:25] Speaker 2: of it. I was like, I got what I need.
[12:26] Speaker 2: Here's here's one thing I thought was interesting about it, Jeff,
[12:29] Speaker 2: make sure that the really racist lines are said by
[12:32] Speaker 2: the actress in this. It's nice that we had the equalizer.
[12:37] Speaker 2: It wasn't actually Queen Lava. It was a very very
[12:42] Speaker 2: very not nice depiction of Queen latinas was on Mad
[12:47] Speaker 2: the sketch ends with this Queen Latifa but not here
[12:52] Speaker 2: clapping him with her tits. Oh yeah, it's insane, Jeff.
[12:57] Speaker 2: This is bro an episode of Mad TV that's all
[13:00] Speaker 2: about promoting survivor Cook Islands Chase. You know, we want
[13:03] Speaker 2: CBS to like us. I don't care. They did this.
[13:06] Speaker 2: They did this, they did they I didn't do this, well,
[13:08] Speaker 2: Jeff did this the specific thing right? What shows this?
[13:11] Speaker 2: This is this?
[13:13] Speaker 4: This proves the uh, I don't know how people they
[13:18] Speaker 4: contain multitudes because this same guy at some point decided
[13:22] Speaker 4: I won't say come on in guys anymore. Right right, right, right,
[13:25] Speaker 4: we contain multitudes. And clearly I think Jeff has uh.
[13:30] Speaker 4: I don't think Jeff would do this today, even if
[13:33] Speaker 4: it was like a thing that Mad TV was doing.
[13:37] Speaker 4: I think Jeff would be like, hey, maybe this isn't
[13:41] Speaker 4: He wouldn't do this today.
[13:42] Speaker 3: Not a great not a great bit, Grandpa, Jeff would
[13:45] Speaker 3: not do this.
[13:46] Speaker 2: I think that what the idea was, because Mad TV
[13:48] Speaker 2: did an entire episode in Cook Islands. I think the
[13:52] Speaker 2: idea was that they were going to try to be
[13:55] Speaker 2: in on the joke so that people be like, oh,
[13:58] Speaker 2: they know that it was a pretty crazy thing. To
[13:59] Speaker 2: do this. Like, so that's not even the craziest sketch
[14:03] Speaker 2: that comes out of that episode. There's a Matt TV sketch. Worst. Yeah,
[14:08] Speaker 2: I'm not gonna play the whole Mad TV sketches because
[14:10] Speaker 2: there were so many of them. They were very long.
[14:11] Speaker 2: But like I mean, you see Key and peel because
[14:13] Speaker 2: this is Matt TV's so keen peeler in these sketches
[14:16] Speaker 2: on the Black tribe, Bobby Lee, who is now extremely famous,
[14:19] Speaker 2: he was on the Asian tribe, and they're all perpetuating
[14:22] Speaker 2: stereotypes extremely Uh. Here, this is a sound drop from
[14:27] Speaker 2: the beginning of the episode where they're talking about survivor
[14:30] Speaker 2: Cook Islands. This is a comedian pretending to be Jeff
[14:32] Speaker 2: Probes hit it Brandon Boy, African Americans, Asian American, Mexican American,
[14:41] Speaker 2: and real American. It's just stuff like that constyle. Who
[14:46] Speaker 2: was the comedian? Dude, I didn't know that guy, but
[14:49] Speaker 2: he kind of looked like Jeff.
[14:50] Speaker 3: You know what, let's react to that whole episode and
[14:53] Speaker 3: put it up behind a paywall and call it like
[14:55] Speaker 3: watch us die inside.
[14:57] Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, it's it's insane. So yeah, that's kind of
[15:02] Speaker 2: everything that I have when it comes to the Okay,
[15:05] Speaker 2: we're time the pre preseason. I've got some fun facts
[15:09] Speaker 2: that are less give me crazy, Yeah, give me that question.
[15:12] Speaker 2: So seventeen out of the twenty contestants were recruited for
[15:17] Speaker 2: this season, meaning they did not audition.
[15:20] Speaker 4: Something that apparently was a lot more, A lot more.
[15:25] Speaker 4: What's the word I'm looking for? Controversial?
[15:27] Speaker 2: Common? Common? Yep, a lot more. Who's that rapper? A
[15:33] Speaker 2: lot more common?
[15:35] Speaker 4: In the early days of Surat they don't do it anymore,
[15:38] Speaker 4: but apparently a lot of players early on were recruited, Yes,
[15:43] Speaker 4: through like casting calls and like even through like I
[15:46] Speaker 4: think season thirty they were recruiting.
[15:48] Speaker 2: It makes sense only Jenny, Stephanie and Cowboy auditioned for
[15:53] Speaker 2: the show. And here's a quote from Jeff about that situation.
[15:57] Speaker 2: Once we decided that we are going to have the
[15:59] Speaker 2: most ethnically diverse cast in the history of TV as
[16:02] Speaker 2: far as I know, it required us to go out
[16:04] Speaker 2: and find these people because we don't have many minorities
[16:07] Speaker 2: that applied to the show. I don't believe that. I
[16:09] Speaker 2: don't believe either. So we did go So this is
[16:11] Speaker 2: this is the part of May we left. So we
[16:12] Speaker 2: did go to church groups and went to cultural centers.
[16:15] Speaker 2: It was literally the biggest casting endeavor we've done in
[16:17] Speaker 2: thirteen seasons. We go into the Hispanic community and we
[16:21] Speaker 2: start finding people who think, Wow, Survivor sounds like a
[16:24] Speaker 2: very cool idea. You mean, I live on my own,
[16:27] Speaker 2: I get to build shelter and fish, and I could
[16:29] Speaker 2: win a million dollars the result of all that hard work.
[16:32] Speaker 2: This is the most fresh, diverse, interesting group of people
[16:35] Speaker 2: with completely varied backgrounds that I think we have had
[16:37] Speaker 2: since season one.
[16:39] Speaker 3: What does Jeff going into the Hispanic community entail.
[16:43] Speaker 2: I don't know. It kind of sounds like they just
[16:46] Speaker 2: went to churches in predominantly like Hispanic areas areas and
[16:50] Speaker 2: we're like, hey, anybody want to be on the show.
[16:52] Speaker 4: He's saying, I can't believe. He said, we just don't
[16:55] Speaker 4: have many minorities applying. I don't believe that, because at
[16:58] Speaker 4: this point Survivor.
[16:59] Speaker 2: Was a huge It was the biggest. It was like
[17:03] Speaker 2: on television.
[17:03] Speaker 4: You're telling me the cultural phenomenon that was Survivor in
[17:07] Speaker 4: the early two thousands was only whites people watching.
[17:10] Speaker 2: It is no way, no way. Yeah, I agree with you.
[17:16] Speaker 2: I have more fun facts but we can actually just
[17:18] Speaker 2: start getting into the episode.
[17:20] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, we could start with how much cooler
[17:23] Speaker 3: the intro is than it is you know the era.
[17:27] Speaker 4: I mean, guys, I talked about it when we were
[17:30] Speaker 4: talking about like what we're hoping to see in sixty fifty,
[17:33] Speaker 4: and it is this type of intro, Like I don't
[17:36] Speaker 4: know how you watch Survivor and look at one season
[17:39] Speaker 4: where it's this mad dash off a boat.
[17:42] Speaker 2: Got a paddles to the island versus hey, you in
[17:45] Speaker 2: the front, what's your name?
[17:47] Speaker 4: And be like the beach introductions way like it's not
[17:52] Speaker 4: better TV.
[17:53] Speaker 2: It's just not And for like, I don't I don't.
[17:57] Speaker 4: Know the reasoning behind moving away from this type of
[18:02] Speaker 4: opening to a season, but whatever it is, Jeff is
[18:06] Speaker 4: lying to himself if he says that it's better TV,
[18:10] Speaker 4: it's just fundamentally not.
[18:12] Speaker 2: Better to And I don't even well, so I do
[18:15] Speaker 2: know that the reason they do they don't give the
[18:18] Speaker 2: cast anything up front anymore, Like in this one they
[18:21] Speaker 2: got handed chickens and tools.
[18:22] Speaker 4: Oh yeah, but it's twenty six days versus thirty nine, right,
[18:25] Speaker 4: so they don't do that anymore.
[18:26] Speaker 2: So maybe the thought was, like it feels redundant to
[18:28] Speaker 2: just throw them off a boat and make them swim
[18:30] Speaker 2: to shore. But I would rather to watch.
[18:33] Speaker 3: I like it better than they all just show up
[18:35] Speaker 3: and then like stand before Jeff they're God and praise him.
[18:38] Speaker 4: Because it's not even like it's not even every season
[18:42] Speaker 4: starts off with hey, here's some supplies, grab and get them.
[18:45] Speaker 4: Some of them is just hey, here's a map. That's
[18:47] Speaker 4: good luck getting to your thing, or they could even
[18:50] Speaker 4: do that be the first challenge. Yeah, it is a
[18:52] Speaker 4: race to the shore, That's what I'm saying, Like, that's
[18:54] Speaker 4: the type of thing we need to start season fifty with.
[18:58] Speaker 4: It feels like Originals, but you have like all these
[19:01] Speaker 4: different players from different seasons, half of which new Era.
[19:05] Speaker 4: But and it's like but it still at least gives like, hey,
[19:08] Speaker 4: we're celebrated, like and we all know we're still gonna
[19:11] Speaker 4: have some of those challenges that we've become familiar.
[19:14] Speaker 2: With and new Era and that's fine, but to like
[19:18] Speaker 2: at least incorporate the way that they can start the.
[19:22] Speaker 3: Chaos allows for something like Jonathan Penner to steal Yule's chicken.
[19:28] Speaker 2: Stole the chicken, stole the chicken.
[19:31] Speaker 4: But it's a great great intro, great opening, and like
[19:34] Speaker 4: there's something so fun about the chaos going on around.
[19:38] Speaker 2: Jeff probes as he walks on the boat and it's.
[19:41] Speaker 4: Like, look, well we've done this season. It's gonna be wild.
[19:45] Speaker 4: Like it's great, it's.
[19:46] Speaker 2: So fun, Like it's just so chaotic, and then you.
[19:48] Speaker 4: Have Jeff acting like there's nothing going on around and
[19:50] Speaker 4: it's just awesome.
[19:51] Speaker 2: I liked when he was when there was two people.
[19:53] Speaker 2: Time was up and there's still like two people on
[19:55] Speaker 2: the boat and he was like.
[19:56] Speaker 6: Get overboard, ye, get overboard, and I for what it's
[20:01] Speaker 6: worth the the mad TV when he's talking about the
[20:06] Speaker 6: four tribes, yeah, I literally did write down that.
[20:08] Speaker 4: Jeff paused before saying African Americans.
[20:12] Speaker 2: There's a lot of African guess there's a lot like
[20:17] Speaker 2: that this episode.
[20:19] Speaker 3: But there were a couple of good quotes while they
[20:20] Speaker 3: were like on their way to their islands. So Ozzie,
[20:24] Speaker 3: he said, my first thought when I saw the tribes
[20:26] Speaker 3: were split right along racial lines, I said, God, this
[20:29] Speaker 3: is going to be hard. And then we had poverty
[20:32] Speaker 3: saying different ethnic groups. Is that kosher? I don't know,
[20:35] Speaker 3: but it's a cool social experiment.
[20:37] Speaker 2: I think when they were doing that little segment where
[20:40] Speaker 2: they were they essentially took one person from each tribe
[20:43] Speaker 2: and was like, what do you think about this season?
[20:46] Speaker 2: You could tell that Yule did not with this idea. Yeah,
[20:51] Speaker 2: he like he said that he was afraid it was
[20:53] Speaker 2: going to perpetuate stereotypes or characters of the different races. Brother.
[20:56] Speaker 2: He did not look happy. But and then we got
[20:58] Speaker 2: Cowboy doing the stereo right meet Cowboy Bud. And then
[21:03] Speaker 2: Jenny also was not like the whole uh. I can't
[21:09] Speaker 2: remember the name of the tribe, but the Asian trupe.
[21:11] Speaker 2: They did not enjoy the fact because they just found
[21:14] Speaker 2: out on the boat. But it didn't seem like super
[21:17] Speaker 2: upset about it. I think that they were trying to
[21:19] Speaker 2: be cool, but it seemed like they were not happy
[21:21] Speaker 2: about it, which I don't think I would have been
[21:22] Speaker 2: happy about it. Cowboys pumped.
[21:24] Speaker 4: Cowboys, Cowboys doing great. Get to teach these kids stuff,
[21:28] Speaker 4: It's gonna be great. Cowboys hilarious.
[21:31] Speaker 2: And I also love.
[21:32] Speaker 4: Ozzy gets on the island and within five minutes finds
[21:35] Speaker 4: a tree to close. It's like, let me show showcase
[21:39] Speaker 4: my skills. Right here, right now is my favorite survivor
[21:42] Speaker 4: player of Bolt. I hear a lot of hype about
[21:44] Speaker 4: and this is my early hot take. I hear a
[21:46] Speaker 4: lot of hype about Ozzie currently I don't get it. Yeah,
[21:51] Speaker 4: and like I, I have seen two more episodes from
[21:54] Speaker 4: this season and I don't get it yet. But I'm
[21:58] Speaker 4: ready to be blown away by all that Aussie is.
[22:01] Speaker 2: Remember he does several seasons, so it doesn't necessarily even
[22:04] Speaker 2: mean that this.
[22:04] Speaker 4: When I felt the same way about Boston Robb the
[22:06] Speaker 4: first season Boston Robbers, and I was like, I don't
[22:08] Speaker 4: understand why everybody's freaking out about Boston Robb.
[22:11] Speaker 2: But then all stars just like oh, and then you're like, oh,
[22:13] Speaker 2: this guy's he's the greatest guy. Yeah. Did you not
[22:15] Speaker 2: see him climb the tree? I saw him, yes, of course,
[22:18] Speaker 2: very impressively. That you were hook line Sinker who was
[22:23] Speaker 2: kicking the coconuts with his feet holding onto the branches,
[22:26] Speaker 2: with his Billy's fumbling around. You know, he's like, I'm
[22:30] Speaker 2: gonna make a toilet. I climbed trees. You know what
[22:35] Speaker 2: was Billy.
[22:35] Speaker 3: He's like the first thing Billy said is I'm gonna
[22:37] Speaker 3: make a toilet.
[22:38] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna It was like all right, guys,
[22:42] Speaker 2: when you start making a shelter, I don't know how
[22:43] Speaker 2: to make a toilet. Yeah, everybody's looking like what He's like,
[22:47] Speaker 2: I'll show you how to do it later, But you know, Billy,
[22:50] Speaker 2: I I that was Billy's first mistake is going on
[22:56] Speaker 2: the island and the first acting like.
[23:00] Speaker 4: He knows how to do things, but then clearly not
[23:03] Speaker 4: knowing how to do things. It's like the opposite approach
[23:06] Speaker 4: of people who are natural leaders, but they're like, I'm
[23:09] Speaker 4: not gonna lead because I don't want to be a target.
[23:12] Speaker 4: Billy's like, I know I can't do this, but I'm
[23:15] Speaker 4: going to tell them that I can and hope.
[23:17] Speaker 2: That they keep me around for for a while. Would
[23:21] Speaker 2: you guys like to know some behind the scenes stuff
[23:23] Speaker 2: about Billy Garcia. I know that I'm gonna I hope
[23:26] Speaker 2: to get him on the show. Yeah. I want to
[23:28] Speaker 2: talk to Billy more than anything in the world. So
[23:30] Speaker 2: I followed him earlier, trying to get his attention. Great
[23:32] Speaker 2: great T shirts. I think it's feasible because Billy Garcia
[23:36] Speaker 2: not only is he in like a metal band, metal
[23:38] Speaker 2: bands still touring, he is a former professional wrestler who,
[23:43] Speaker 2: in fact, he had a Survivor wrestling match with Johnny
[23:47] Speaker 2: Fairfa and I've got a link to it here. It's
[23:51] Speaker 2: a full match. Wow, well this is like a ten
[23:53] Speaker 2: minute How long did they go? It's a two minute
[23:55] Speaker 2: highlight reel. I don't know how long you go. It's
[23:57] Speaker 2: a tag team mess. Three minutes. It couldn't have been
[24:00] Speaker 2: more than five. Here's what's interesting. So it's Billy Garcia
[24:03] Speaker 2: and he's teaming up with mister Terrific whoever that is.
[24:07] Speaker 2: Johnny Fairplay is teaming up with mis or wonderful coach
[24:12] Speaker 2: Dodson and interesting. I mean, we see them bumping around.
[24:16] Speaker 2: They took some bumps. Fair Play and Billy Garcia they're
[24:20] Speaker 2: they're they're wrestling for real, and it's hilarious. It's so bad.
[24:24] Speaker 3: We need a list of all the things like related
[24:26] Speaker 3: to this season for us to put up in the Patreon.
[24:29] Speaker 2: I'd watch a match, Yeah, I watched the match. Yeah,
[24:32] Speaker 2: we'll do a Patreon exclusive React episode where we can
[24:34] Speaker 2: watch that stuff. I got it all right here. But
[24:37] Speaker 2: I also have another fun fact about Billy. But I'm
[24:38] Speaker 2: gonna wait till we talk about the first challenge.
[24:40] Speaker 3: Yeah, or we could wait until we get him on
[24:42] Speaker 3: the show, manifesting that.
[24:43] Speaker 2: That's exactly right.
[24:44] Speaker 4: But I do think early on Jonathan is a favorite
[24:48] Speaker 4: for me.
[24:49] Speaker 2: Jonathan Pinner, though, who I knew, is the guy who
[24:52] Speaker 2: plays fran Jesher's husband in the first episode of The Nanny.
[24:55] Speaker 2: Sure h, he's an awesome player. He steals the chicken.
[24:58] Speaker 2: As we've talked about it, I thought it was very
[25:01] Speaker 2: funny when he talks about stealing the chicken. He's very
[25:04] Speaker 2: careful to say that he stole the chicken from the
[25:06] Speaker 2: Green team. He doesn't want to say Asian team. He
[25:10] Speaker 2: kind of hesitated for the Green team. And then what
[25:18] Speaker 2: was was it? Flicka? Dudey? What was so amazing? Right?
[25:25] Speaker 2: He steals a chicken? We put chickens under box. It
[25:29] Speaker 2: is they reproduced quickly because they got two chickens. I
[25:32] Speaker 2: think they had one and then they stole one. Does
[25:34] Speaker 2: anyone know her real name? Flickah?
[25:39] Speaker 4: And for some reton I still don't know why Flicka
[25:42] Speaker 4: goes over and just lives from the box to take
[25:45] Speaker 4: up and then it's like, flick would you like far away.
[25:54] Speaker 2: Screaming in third person?
[25:56] Speaker 4: I like, and no one there's no like in interview
[26:00] Speaker 4: or confessional about what she.
[26:02] Speaker 2: Was thinking no. But we do get a confessional from
[26:05] Speaker 2: Pinner about what he thinks about it, and he goes,
[26:08] Speaker 2: he's very upset. He goes, I'm very upset with Flicka,
[26:10] Speaker 2: and you know I can forgive her or maybe I won't.
[26:12] Speaker 3: Yeah, Flicka, I liked when they met. And she's like,
[26:16] Speaker 3: my friends call me Flicka. And he goes, oh, yeah,
[26:18] Speaker 3: I like that my friend Flicka. That's easy to remember
[26:21] Speaker 3: or something like that. Yeah, yeah, I think it's a movie,
[26:24] Speaker 3: is it? Because then she goes, I've never seen that movie.
[26:26] Speaker 3: Oh well, I hope I've never seen that, Flick. I
[26:29] Speaker 3: think it was just a bad pun.
[26:31] Speaker 2: Oh we could someone google my friend Flicka, I mean
[26:35] Speaker 2: someone in the common week. We gotta, we gotta. It's
[26:39] Speaker 2: a movie. I'm assuming she.
[26:41] Speaker 4: Had the nickname Flicka before the Yeah, for sure, for sure.
[26:44] Speaker 2: But it's based on the children's novel My friend Flicka. Well,
[26:48] Speaker 2: there you go. That novel is from nineteen forty one,
[26:51] Speaker 2: and guys, we're gonna read that for the Patriot. Oh
[26:59] Speaker 2: it's funny. I did love.
[27:04] Speaker 4: Pet Poverty is her name? Poverity Parity. Poverty was like
[27:10] Speaker 4: when they show up and they're like, yeah, we we
[27:12] Speaker 4: kicked ass today and then Jonathan's like, yeah.
[27:16] Speaker 2: Can we talk about that for a second.
[27:18] Speaker 4: And I love when people do that, when somebody says
[27:21] Speaker 4: something like, hey, I really think you like we did
[27:24] Speaker 4: a good job, and they're.
[27:25] Speaker 2: Like, let's talk about that, and they're like, that's what
[27:28] Speaker 2: I did.
[27:29] Speaker 4: I was doing here, but can we talk about that
[27:32] Speaker 4: for a second, and then they proceed to cut away
[27:34] Speaker 4: and don't let them talk about it for a second.
[27:36] Speaker 4: But that was that was great, And I will say I.
[27:42] Speaker 2: You know, it's tough.
[27:43] Speaker 4: It's tough to hear five white people chant whities that
[27:48] Speaker 4: I was just flicking.
[27:50] Speaker 2: It was just she's like to get it. She tries
[27:53] Speaker 2: to get something started. Yeah, and why man don't love it?
[27:58] Speaker 2: I mean, so that was first day for Flick. They're
[28:02] Speaker 2: in an uncomfortable situation that they didn't they were just
[28:05] Speaker 2: like they just found out about. So I can see
[28:08] Speaker 2: how that's difficult the other tribes. That's not how you
[28:11] Speaker 2: handle it, handle it by going whitey.
[28:15] Speaker 3: We need to talk about cowboy now on the green team,
[28:19] Speaker 3: on the Green team.
[28:20] Speaker 2: On the Cowboys.
[28:24] Speaker 3: Incredible Cowboys, awesome, he can heal headaches, he survived.
[28:28] Speaker 2: Can we talk about that? I haven't stopped thinking.
[28:33] Speaker 5: Yet.
[28:33] Speaker 2: I'm talking about that for a second.
[28:36] Speaker 4: I haven't stopped thinking about cowboy uh getting the bad wind.
[28:44] Speaker 2: By doing whatever and then just pulling it out of
[28:48] Speaker 2: like the tip of the nose, and it worked. What
[28:51] Speaker 2: I thought it was so funny about it works was
[28:54] Speaker 2: like he would be talking about it and he would
[28:56] Speaker 2: make it sound like it's crazy, right, he's got the
[28:58] Speaker 2: bad wind. But then he would also back it up
[29:00] Speaker 2: with science, did he Yeah, So he'd be like he'd
[29:02] Speaker 2: be like, yeah, it really happens because the sinuses. It'll
[29:05] Speaker 2: be like it's not in the back of the heads,
[29:06] Speaker 2: not the eyes, the sinuses, and then you and so
[29:11] Speaker 2: he's doing like real science where he's like, oh yeah,
[29:14] Speaker 2: he's massaging the science.
[29:16] Speaker 4: It's like when he starts going like he's going all yeah,
[29:19] Speaker 4: and I don't even remember what the guy's name is,
[29:21] Speaker 4: but he doesn't try to stop him at all. Like
[29:25] Speaker 4: the first time somebody does that to the top of
[29:27] Speaker 4: my nose, I'm gonna be like, hold lot, like what
[29:29] Speaker 4: are you doing?
[29:30] Speaker 2: He just lets it happen, getting the bad window his
[29:33] Speaker 2: name Sean it might being the bad Windows. Should look
[29:36] Speaker 2: that up because I don't want to get it wrong,
[29:38] Speaker 2: but yeah.
[29:40] Speaker 4: The bad somebody tell me have after seeing this episode?
[29:44] Speaker 2: Did it?
[29:45] Speaker 4: Has anyone tried to cure a headache a bed getting
[29:48] Speaker 4: the bad wind out through that way and did it work?
[29:50] Speaker 5: No?
[29:50] Speaker 2: I haven't seen it. I haven't seen it. And how
[29:52] Speaker 2: is the like what's the trade out?
[29:54] Speaker 4: Like they're sure the headache's gone, but you got the
[29:55] Speaker 4: indicator for a day or two.
[29:58] Speaker 3: I wondered if it was two things. You know, one
[30:00] Speaker 3: belief is a powerful thing. That's true, But I wasn't
[30:03] Speaker 3: sure he was buying.
[30:04] Speaker 2: Yeah he didn't. He did seem skeptical, but like when
[30:08] Speaker 2: he was young, I mean, it was crazy, is it? Brad?
[30:11] Speaker 2: Is that his name? Brad? Is that okay?
[30:14] Speaker 4: But if you go if you're like, my head hurts,
[30:17] Speaker 4: but then you like punch someone in the nose.
[30:21] Speaker 2: Now all you're thinking about is the pain in your mouth?
[30:23] Speaker 2: Would be my second theory. That's not a bad theory.
[30:26] Speaker 4: Yeah, so that's the next time somebody gets a headache,
[30:29] Speaker 4: just to be like, hey, can you just punch me
[30:31] Speaker 4: in the gut and like, let's just see if it
[30:33] Speaker 4: works get that bad wind out?
[30:35] Speaker 3: The cowboys said, He said that they didn't have antibiotics
[30:39] Speaker 3: where he was from, so they just had to they
[30:41] Speaker 3: had to figure it out.
[30:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, Which it seems like he's a very old school
[30:45] Speaker 2: kind of traditional guy, and he is a I mean,
[30:47] Speaker 2: he makes a good point. They several people make a
[30:49] Speaker 2: point in that tribe. I do think that the Green
[30:52] Speaker 2: Tribe was not happy about the situation because they just
[30:55] Speaker 2: lumped them up Asian Asian team, but they're all from different.
[30:59] Speaker 4: And this since it's like lots of different cultures still
[31:02] Speaker 4: in one and they just said are the same, right, Yeah,
[31:07] Speaker 4: and then like come to find out episode one.
[31:09] Speaker 2: No Team Latino. Sure, yeah, it's very true. But Cowboy,
[31:15] Speaker 2: I think makes a makes a stark difference.
[31:18] Speaker 4: I think they're the most interesting tribe right now because
[31:21] Speaker 4: of that. Like you have, like I always love when
[31:24] Speaker 4: you have like this older player on Survivor that kind
[31:27] Speaker 4: of bucks against the system and you have this old
[31:30] Speaker 4: school guy with these four younger people and he's like,
[31:35] Speaker 4: I've gotta I gotta teach you a thing or two,
[31:37] Speaker 4: which is just really fun.
[31:38] Speaker 2: It's just it's really he ends.
[31:40] Speaker 3: Up doing one of the smartest things I've ever seen
[31:42] Speaker 3: in Survivor, at least at the time.
[31:44] Speaker 2: Yeah. Later on, Yeah, it's a little episode, but unless
[31:49] Speaker 2: you count the bad win thing is the smartest one.
[31:51] Speaker 3: So you'll talking about cowboys, said, I wrote him off
[31:54] Speaker 3: as a kook, but in between the nonsense is gyms
[31:57] Speaker 3: and nuggets of information that are actually useful.
[31:59] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
[32:01] Speaker 4: I also loved when we go over to the and
[32:05] Speaker 4: African American tribe.
[32:08] Speaker 2: I don't remember his name.
[32:10] Speaker 4: He is the guy, the bigger guy. Oh h yes,
[32:15] Speaker 4: and he just needs a break.
[32:18] Speaker 2: I need a break.
[32:19] Speaker 4: And he goes over and he sits down and then
[32:22] Speaker 4: he just yells out.
[32:23] Speaker 2: I need a broad guys. I thought he was. I
[32:29] Speaker 2: thought that whole tribe was doing a great job of
[32:31] Speaker 2: just getting along, being a great group.
[32:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, he was so f Sandra had a quote that
[32:35] Speaker 3: I really liked when they were setting up the shelter
[32:38] Speaker 3: and stuff. She said, it's not just that we're black,
[32:40] Speaker 3: we're city slickers thrown into the barreness of life.
[32:44] Speaker 2: That sounds so poetic. That's so funny about it because
[32:46] Speaker 2: they get along so well.
[32:48] Speaker 5: Yea.
[32:48] Speaker 2: And at first you go, you know, the producers are
[32:51] Speaker 2: probably like, well, they get along so well because they're
[32:52] Speaker 2: all the same race. But it's like, no, you all
[32:54] Speaker 2: pulled them from the same state. By the way, almost
[32:57] Speaker 2: every single person that was cast on this sea is
[33:00] Speaker 2: from California. Yeah, so they're all literally from the same place,
[33:05] Speaker 2: and they're all around the same aide. That makes the
[33:07] Speaker 2: whole thing seems like a facade. Yeah, I mean, obviously
[33:11] Speaker 2: Cowboy is not from California. He's from by Vietnam and
[33:14] Speaker 2: he lives in Virginia. Yeah.
[33:17] Speaker 4: All of the people that they recruited, turns out they
[33:19] Speaker 4: just went to one town. Yeah, it's just a different neighborhoods,
[33:22] Speaker 4: just one neighborhood.
[33:24] Speaker 2: And they were like, there's a fun people, right, So
[33:27] Speaker 2: I thought that was interesting because they're like, you know,
[33:30] Speaker 2: they get along so well. It's like, well, you pulled
[33:32] Speaker 2: them from the same place and they're all the same age.
[33:34] Speaker 3: And did you guys catch what seku means?
[33:38] Speaker 2: No, it means warrior and leader. Nice, And that's why
[33:43] Speaker 2: he took charge of the camp, I think to his detriment. Hey,
[33:46] Speaker 2: they built a nice shelter, they did, and they were
[33:48] Speaker 2: building a really bad one before he stepped into even
[33:52] Speaker 2: though he called it low income housing. Dude, speaking of
[33:57] Speaker 2: that tribe, Nate, is that his name, Nate Gonzales. Yes,
[34:04] Speaker 2: he is so charismatic as you think you'd be on
[34:07] Speaker 2: the other Hey, cut that cut, cut cut that. I
[34:12] Speaker 2: feel like PD has been the most safe this whole episode,
[34:14] Speaker 2: and then throws that one out. He's so charismatic it's
[34:18] Speaker 2: insane that he doesn't come back again for another season. Yeah,
[34:22] Speaker 2: and well, if we want to talk about something pretty
[34:25] Speaker 2: wild is none of the African American castaways from the
[34:28] Speaker 2: season ever returned, shocking deviment the Survivor the only returning
[34:33] Speaker 2: players which we get a lot of legends in this season.
[34:37] Speaker 2: Three White tribe members and then Ozzy. They return a bunch,
[34:40] Speaker 2: but no one else from the other tribe. Ozzi climbs trees.
[34:43] Speaker 2: I don't know, very exciting. What more do you need?
[34:47] Speaker 2: He climbs tree. You can just wait because you haven't
[34:49] Speaker 2: seen him in his prime. Brother. All I know is
[34:52] Speaker 2: about Ozzy. It's spoiler alert. Ozzie climbs trees and throws challenges.
[34:57] Speaker 2: Then that's what I know about.
[34:59] Speaker 3: We've also talked you another thing, but that was after
[35:03] Speaker 3: whatever what else.
[35:04] Speaker 2: Do you want to do? I don't care about that.
[35:06] Speaker 2: All I know is Ozzie climb trees and throws challenge.
[35:09] Speaker 3: Now it's night time and I guess that's something that
[35:12] Speaker 3: happens on Cook Islands, but it doesn't happen on Phetus.
[35:14] Speaker 2: We all know that. But pretty crazy that we got
[35:19] Speaker 2: to see them at night, right, We haven't seen that lately.
[35:21] Speaker 3: Yeah, it is is pretty crazy. And there was a
[35:23] Speaker 3: showmance brewing because Candace were well, I mean, they were
[35:27] Speaker 3: all kind of next to each other, but.
[35:29] Speaker 4: They were in Yeah, everybody knew they're snuggling.
[35:34] Speaker 2: I got a quote from Adam here.
[35:36] Speaker 3: Adam said, it does make the island more bearable to
[35:39] Speaker 3: have some good looking girls, great looking girls. I'm attracted
[35:42] Speaker 3: to Canvas a lot. He's a genius dude.
[35:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, the thing about Candace being in a showmance, it
[35:49] Speaker 2: kind of took me a back. I forgot about this
[35:51] Speaker 2: because the Candace I remember is when because she comes
[35:54] Speaker 2: back two more times. The third time that she comes out,
[35:56] Speaker 2: the most recent time she's on Blood versus Water with
[35:59] Speaker 2: her husband.
[36:00] Speaker 4: And one thing that I want to ask you, guys
[36:03] Speaker 4: who have seen more seasons of Survivor than I have,
[36:05] Speaker 4: I'm more a lot, working.
[36:06] Speaker 2: Way more few more than guys, so many more. I'm
[36:10] Speaker 2: working on it, and I think I'm doing pretty good.
[36:13] Speaker 2: But the job because I'm doing something.
[36:19] Speaker 4: So I started obviously with I've seen forty sixty eight
[36:25] Speaker 4: New Era, yes, seeing thirty thirty six Lives, And then
[36:31] Speaker 4: I go back and I start at the beginning, and
[36:33] Speaker 4: there is a lot of showmance. There's a lot of
[36:38] Speaker 4: like talking about how cute people are and like that
[36:42] Speaker 4: person's really hot, all this stuff where it's almost like
[36:46] Speaker 4: it doesn't exist in the later seasons, like it's like
[36:49] Speaker 4: a no no, like you're not allowed to even talk
[36:54] Speaker 4: about being attracted to somebody, not about So that's what
[36:57] Speaker 4: I was gonna ask, Like, point did that stop being
[37:02] Speaker 4: a thing?
[37:02] Speaker 2: That there was a big scandal that happens in season
[37:06] Speaker 2: thirty nine. Okay, I believe where and I haven't seen
[37:11] Speaker 2: the season yet, but i've heard about it. Someone I
[37:13] Speaker 2: believe got ejected for like sexual harassment.
[37:15] Speaker 4: Okay, but keep in mind that also happened in What's
[37:19] Speaker 4: what season was that with the Yeah, yeah, but that
[37:23] Speaker 4: was that was when anything but that was no one cares.
[37:27] Speaker 3: Yeah, but this is consensual, So I mean there's no
[37:31] Speaker 3: rule against.
[37:32] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, are you allowed to I'm pretty sure. I
[37:37] Speaker 2: don't know. Maybe they just aren't interested in that, like
[37:40] Speaker 2: they're nerds. Now and yeah, everything's about strategy. It's like,
[37:44] Speaker 2: come on, it's just a virgin. Yeah, just that it
[37:47] Speaker 2: just now.
[37:48] Speaker 4: Its like it's and we have longer than ever episodes.
[37:51] Speaker 2: You would think at some point it would come up.
[37:53] Speaker 4: But in that at least the three New Era seasons
[37:56] Speaker 4: that I've seen, it has not been a thought.
[37:59] Speaker 2: In Austin, I haven't seen d season. Yeah, kind of
[38:02] Speaker 2: a kind of a show man's and they and she
[38:04] Speaker 2: slits his throat. We go to the most exciting part
[38:07] Speaker 2: of the show.
[38:07] Speaker 3: Everybody's favorite part of the everybody's favorite part of the
[38:11] Speaker 3: time machine.
[38:13] Speaker 2: Guys, it is challenge time. So I'm not going super
[38:19] Speaker 2: in depth on the challenge. Basically, it's an I did.
[38:23] Speaker 2: It's a community and reward challenge. You get like some
[38:27] Speaker 2: fishing gear and stuff and some flint if you come
[38:30] Speaker 2: in second. What's interesting is there's four tribes. Four doesn't
[38:33] Speaker 2: happen often.
[38:34] Speaker 3: Seeing that many people. It's pretty crazy like that, and
[38:36] Speaker 3: not have to get covered in mud.
[38:38] Speaker 4: Yeah, it was also interesting that how are they gonna
[38:40] Speaker 4: get birthed into the season of.
[38:44] Speaker 2: A different way? Fire and I actually have a really
[38:46] Speaker 2: interesting fact about that. That's my whole thing this season.
[38:49] Speaker 4: I got fund that's Chase.
[38:53] Speaker 2: Chase took a masterclass on something and he's like, I'm
[38:56] Speaker 2: a fun fact. It's just he's a survivor for historian, right, Yeah,
[39:01] Speaker 2: I nerd out on the history. Well, I guess I
[39:03] Speaker 2: can't use that because that's a podcast.
[39:05] Speaker 4: Actually, just listen to that podcast transcribes and then reads
[39:09] Speaker 4: it verbados.
[39:09] Speaker 2: I didn't I got good stuff this week? Guys? What
[39:12] Speaker 2: I did? I texted p D last night and I
[39:14] Speaker 2: was like, I had a long damn and go to bed.
[39:16] Speaker 2: And then three hours later I was like I ended
[39:18] Speaker 2: up deep diving all of the history of Yeah, like this,
[39:22] Speaker 2: this kind of thing lights Chase up. Well that's the.
[39:25] Speaker 4: Problem, Like with not having seen the season, I can't
[39:28] Speaker 4: google this.
[39:30] Speaker 2: Me twice only three times. That's important. I can't google
[39:33] Speaker 2: the season. Uh, don't worry, becuse that's what I'm here for. Okay, thanks,
[39:37] Speaker 2: Chase is Google. Chase is Google. No, don't be like
[39:43] Speaker 2: my Alexa at home.
[39:44] Speaker 4: Hey, Chase, tell me fun fact about survivor Cook Island.
[39:47] Speaker 2: All right, I'll let you know. In one second, each
[39:50] Speaker 2: tribe has to put together their boat. Wait. Google doesn't
[39:53] Speaker 2: make you wait, Yeah, Alexa, let me hey, like, so
[40:00] Speaker 2: what's the definition of patients one moment? Okay, So each
[40:07] Speaker 2: tribe has to put together a boat. It's like a
[40:10] Speaker 2: puzzle and it turns into a boat. Then you have
[40:12] Speaker 2: to use that boat to row out to a barrel
[40:14] Speaker 2: containing fire. They will have to light their torch and
[40:18] Speaker 2: row back to shore. Here's where the fun fact is.
[40:22] Speaker 2: Apparently in an interview that Billy Garcia did way back
[40:27] Speaker 2: into Chad, Billy Garcia was accidentally caught on fire during
[40:32] Speaker 2: that challenge and they didn't show it, and they didn't
[40:34] Speaker 2: show it, and this is what he says, I'll tell
[40:35] Speaker 2: you the whole story. What During the first immunity challenge,
[40:39] Speaker 2: Christina went to step on a platform in the water
[40:42] Speaker 2: that had a barrel of kerosene on it to light
[40:45] Speaker 2: a torch and later in the challenge, Oh, the platform
[40:49] Speaker 2: dipped and some of the kerosene spilled on my backside.
[40:54] Speaker 2: Later in the challenge, after the torch was lit, we
[40:57] Speaker 2: had to assemble a ladder and climb up to light
[41:00] Speaker 2: a cauldron signifying we won shut out. Well, a part
[41:04] Speaker 2: of my ladder disassembled and that halted my ascent. Christina
[41:09] Speaker 2: didn't notice and kept climbing. She ended up lighting my
[41:12] Speaker 2: kerosene drenched shorts on. Why did he just take them off?
[41:16] Speaker 2: And he goes Jeff Probes yells, Billy's on fire. He's
[41:21] Speaker 2: engulfed in flames. The challenger was a concern. Then Billy says,
[41:27] Speaker 2: I didn't even scream. My reaction was that figures what dude, Wait?
[41:33] Speaker 2: But I think my reaction would have been, I'm surrounded
[41:35] Speaker 2: by water. This is convenience. He's gonna jump in the water.
[41:38] Speaker 2: I don't know. He doesn't say, because all he says
[41:40] Speaker 2: maybe that reaction didn't make good television. Maybe they were
[41:43] Speaker 2: worried about legal issues that would have made amazing television,
[41:46] Speaker 2: or maybe that didn't fit the narrative of the story
[41:48] Speaker 2: they were telling. I don't know why it wasn't shown.
[41:50] Speaker 2: But if you compare my shorts in the first episode
[41:53] Speaker 2: and the second episode, you will see that I'm wearing
[41:56] Speaker 2: different black shorts. I'm gonna be on the lookout for
[41:59] Speaker 2: that Billy. That's crazy that he got caught on fire. Oh,
[42:02] Speaker 2: they have to put together their boat puzzle. They row
[42:04] Speaker 2: out to the barrel containing fire, they have to light
[42:05] Speaker 2: their torch. You know, all the stuff that we talked
[42:08] Speaker 2: about with Billy getting lit on fire. The African American
[42:11] Speaker 2: tribe is so far behind the White tribe also struggling.
[42:15] Speaker 2: Their boat comes apart in the middle of the ocean
[42:18] Speaker 2: because they like they realize that they're behind, and they
[42:22] Speaker 2: kind of take off before and fully assembled. Dude, did
[42:26] Speaker 2: you guys notice that this happened several times in this
[42:28] Speaker 2: challenge and I'd forgotten about this. Nowadays you can't even
[42:31] Speaker 2: proceed until everything's locked right down, Jeff. Now is like,
[42:35] Speaker 2: you're good. Go used to like that boat puzzle was
[42:38] Speaker 2: not done. They just hit the water with it. And
[42:40] Speaker 2: then later when they're building the ladder to climb up,
[42:42] Speaker 2: all of the pieces are not on. When one of
[42:44] Speaker 2: the girls gets to the top. I thought that was
[42:46] Speaker 2: very interesting. Fast and loose over there earlier. Yees, come on, guys,
[42:49] Speaker 2: this is the wild Wild West. Green Tribe gets their first,
[42:53] Speaker 2: and then Red Tribe and this is officially Ozzie's first
[42:58] Speaker 2: win in a career of over fourty challenge wins. Yeah,
[43:02] Speaker 2: so those two were in the clear.
[43:03] Speaker 4: Then Blue Tribe team wins. That's fair that I understand that. Yeah,
[43:09] Speaker 4: only individual, I said it. I don't count it all right,
[43:12] Speaker 4: I said it. Then the Blue Tribe, I thought before I.
[43:17] Speaker 2: Said, no, do you think do you think Ozzie played
[43:18] Speaker 2: a part in them winning? No, you don't crazy. He
[43:25] Speaker 2: is great. He's a challenge beast. Okay, but that means
[43:28] Speaker 2: that the Yellow Tribe is going to tribal So the
[43:31] Speaker 2: producer is probably furious that the African American tribe is
[43:34] Speaker 2: the first one is getting eliminated from the tribal camps.
[43:38] Speaker 2: If the story you told us, that story is true, true? Yeah, yeah,
[43:41] Speaker 2: so I thought that was very interesting. At the end
[43:44] Speaker 2: of the challenge, the losing tribe gets to send someone
[43:47] Speaker 2: from one of the other tribes to Exile Island, bringing
[43:50] Speaker 2: it back from Jason Prior. So they send Jonathan Pinner
[43:54] Speaker 2: as punishment for stealing the chicken. Yeah, which fair, totally fair, and.
[44:03] Speaker 5: Yeah, I have it.
[44:04] Speaker 3: Penner said, I think it was because I took the
[44:06] Speaker 3: Asian guy's chicken that the African American guys chose me.
[44:09] Speaker 3: I was shocked and I couldn't believe it.
[44:11] Speaker 2: And earlier he was so careful to say green trot
[44:14] Speaker 2: that went out the window with the camera man. Can
[44:20] Speaker 2: we talk about how bad he was on Exile Island?
[44:25] Speaker 2: So he gets, you know, his clue or whatever it is.
[44:28] Speaker 4: It's about the and and there's you know, an A
[44:31] Speaker 4: frame on the island, and so he digs immediately under
[44:35] Speaker 4: the a or the frame and.
[44:36] Speaker 2: He's like, well, I guess that's that's I guess I'm done.
[44:40] Speaker 2: I missed my wife. Yeah I can.
[44:43] Speaker 4: I don't know much, but can you imagine if they
[44:47] Speaker 4: send somebody to exile island.
[44:48] Speaker 2: And where they hide the immunity island is.
[44:51] Speaker 4: Under the two giant wooden beams that they have put
[44:54] Speaker 4: up the only things that they have constructed.
[44:57] Speaker 2: One place, it wouldn't be to say that was super
[45:01] Speaker 2: So just I'll dig here for the best. Miss my wife,
[45:04] Speaker 2: Miss my wife wife. The last thing I want to
[45:08] Speaker 2: say before we move on when it comes to challenges
[45:11] Speaker 2: is there because I did some deep diving into like
[45:14] Speaker 2: the subreddit last night to see if like they were
[45:16] Speaker 2: any like kind of underground stuff, like you know, how
[45:19] Speaker 2: we found out that Shane Powers like found a block
[45:22] Speaker 2: of cocaine or whatever on that Power does coke? Yeah? Yeah, yeah?
[45:25] Speaker 2: Or did? Maybe we don't know. We'll get on the show.
[45:31] Speaker 2: We'll ask him. He had like a daily radio show
[45:34] Speaker 2: for a while. Really, that's super cool. I saw him recently.
[45:37] Speaker 2: He was on someone's show recently. It might have been
[45:39] Speaker 2: drop your Buffs. I don't know. Anyway, the next episode
[45:42] Speaker 2: is Ozzie being like, we need to throw the challenge
[45:46] Speaker 2: Billy out of here. Yeah, and apparently the producers were
[45:50] Speaker 2: pissed Son.
[45:52] Speaker 4: In general, like throwing something on Survivor is like viewed
[45:58] Speaker 4: almost like quick and it's like and Jeff does not
[46:02] Speaker 4: like quitters, No, he does not.
[46:03] Speaker 2: He does not like it. When you that's a recent thing.
[46:06] Speaker 2: Back in the day they throw throwing challenges in a
[46:09] Speaker 2: strategy that's used a bit, but I don't you don't
[46:12] Speaker 2: see it often recently, and people think didn't Q say
[46:16] Speaker 2: that he did that?
[46:17] Speaker 3: I was about to say people think Q did it,
[46:18] Speaker 3: but I'm pretty sure Q said, like, I've been bad
[46:21] Speaker 3: at challenges on purpose and forty six.
[46:23] Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I think maybe the biggest recent controversy of
[46:27] Speaker 2: did they throw the challenge was Rome with the puzzle.
[46:30] Speaker 2: But I think we've confirmed that. Yeah, the soul was
[46:33] Speaker 2: trying his hardest. Don't let me forget I have my puzzle. Yeah,
[46:38] Speaker 2: we'll film it and we'll put it up on Patreon
[46:40] Speaker 2: behind a paywall. So dot com slash that just find yeah,
[46:50] Speaker 2: so Seku, We're so good.
[46:52] Speaker 3: The reason Seku went home was because they were two
[46:55] Speaker 3: different groups. It was Nate and Seku, and then it
[46:58] Speaker 3: was Sundra and what's her name? I'm not this is
[47:02] Speaker 3: our first steps Stephanie. Yes, okay, Sandra and steph I
[47:07] Speaker 3: go through most of the season is usually yeah, okay.
[47:13] Speaker 3: Becca and Sondra were tight. And then it was Stephanie
[47:16] Speaker 3: as the swing vote, and then she decides that the
[47:19] Speaker 3: women Warrior leader is not going to be the Warrior leader.
[47:23] Speaker 2: He goes home.
[47:23] Speaker 4: It's tough because you're still early on in the season
[47:26] Speaker 4: and at this point, you know, if I am what,
[47:30] Speaker 4: who's the one?
[47:32] Speaker 3: No, the.
[47:34] Speaker 2: The woman is on the Stephanie, she's on the outside.
[47:38] Speaker 2: She's a swing physician.
[47:39] Speaker 4: Yes, so if I'm on the swing vote, I'm deciding
[47:43] Speaker 4: what's more important to me right now? Is it I
[47:46] Speaker 4: have numbers with the ladies, But if I go with
[47:51] Speaker 4: the fellas, we we keep our strength, right.
[47:55] Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know if he was that helpful, that's
[47:57] Speaker 2: the thing, but you're you know, you're still like that's yeah.
[48:00] Speaker 4: Conventional thinking there is like keep the guys along for
[48:03] Speaker 4: the strength early on, for the sake of.
[48:05] Speaker 2: Challenges argument and him. But I don't know. I kind
[48:11] Speaker 2: of I would be.
[48:14] Speaker 4: I would have been really surprised if she didn't, like
[48:16] Speaker 4: it feels a lot safer to just be like, you
[48:19] Speaker 4: know what, I'm gonna vote with the ladies. Maybe that's
[48:21] Speaker 4: my my inroad to kind of growing a stronger bond
[48:25] Speaker 4: with them. And I think we've kind of seen more,
[48:28] Speaker 4: at least been until this point, more success with kind
[48:32] Speaker 4: of sticking with those built in you have your tribal lines,
[48:36] Speaker 4: but then you have the sexes if you will, and like, hey,
[48:41] Speaker 4: let's just stick together as as the ladies will stick
[48:43] Speaker 4: together as the guys. And so it seemed like to
[48:46] Speaker 4: me I would have probably done the same thing. I
[48:49] Speaker 4: would have been like, I'm just gonna vote with them
[48:51] Speaker 4: because it feels like I'll go further with them than
[48:55] Speaker 4: the strength argument.
[48:56] Speaker 2: Which is ument. There another thing about Stephanie. Want another
[49:00] Speaker 2: fun fact? Hey were the Cook Island fun fact? Can
[49:05] Speaker 2: we just talk about Chase's fun fact for a second.
[49:08] Speaker 2: Stephanie is from Columbia, South Carolina, one of the three
[49:15] Speaker 2: people who was not from California. I'll run through where
[49:18] Speaker 2: everybody's from. It was she a recruiter, did she remember
[49:22] Speaker 2: active on Instagram. Hold on second, what.
[49:25] Speaker 4: I'm interested in is you said there's only a Stephanie
[49:28] Speaker 4: auditioned what's her last name? So we were all of
[49:31] Speaker 4: the recruits from California probably here there was only three
[49:35] Speaker 4: that auditioned, Jinny who was from Illinois, Okay, Stephanie's from Columbia,
[49:43] Speaker 4: and Cowboy, who was from Virginia.
[49:45] Speaker 2: Yeah. The rest are pretty much California. Could check this out. California, California,
[49:51] Speaker 2: New York, California, California, South Carolina, Virginia, California, California, California,
[49:56] Speaker 2: New York, Illinois, California, Washington, d C. California, California, cal Onia, California, DC, California, California.
[50:02] Speaker 2: That's ridiculous. Yeah, and a lot of them from the
[50:04] Speaker 2: same city in California do, which is pretty interesting, Santa Monica,
[50:08] Speaker 2: a lot of them.
[50:09] Speaker 3: I do want to talk about my favorite moment at
[50:11] Speaker 3: Tribal go Ahead, which was when Jeff asked Nate, how
[50:14] Speaker 3: does tribe's diverse ethnicity change the game or does it
[50:18] Speaker 3: change the game, And then Nate laughs and says, yeah
[50:21] Speaker 3: it does, and then Jeff says, why is that funny?
[50:23] Speaker 3: And Nate says because it is, and then everyone laughs.
[50:26] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[50:26] Speaker 4: You can tell that they do not like the I love,
[50:32] Speaker 4: especially early on, like when Jeff doesn't get an answer
[50:36] Speaker 4: or response that he doesn't like. You could see how
[50:40] Speaker 4: frustrated he is, Like even earlier in the episode when
[50:43] Speaker 4: they need to decide.
[50:46] Speaker 2: Yeah, this this same tribe, when the same tribe needs.
[50:48] Speaker 4: To decide who they're sitting in Taxis Island and the
[50:51] Speaker 4: two guys come out, and then and Jeff points out,
[50:54] Speaker 4: Jeff is like, hey, I find it interesting that you
[50:56] Speaker 4: two guys were the only ones who stood up.
[50:59] Speaker 2: What was up with that and the laser? Just like
[51:01] Speaker 2: it seems like they just wanted to take charge share
[51:03] Speaker 2: and just like, Okay, he was so frustrated that they
[51:06] Speaker 2: didn't give him something. I wish you would still do that.
[51:08] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's great, well, but I also at the same
[51:11] Speaker 4: time wish it they would just show somebody if they
[51:13] Speaker 4: got caught on fire.
[51:15] Speaker 2: Show us Kevin's shoulder, Yeah, Billy's flaming shorts.
[51:19] Speaker 4: It's the same thing, Like that info is going to
[51:23] Speaker 4: get out, Like, if something like that happens, it's gonna
[51:26] Speaker 4: get out, So you might as well just show it.
[51:27] Speaker 3: To us or at least cut of it just to
[51:29] Speaker 3: put it up on Instagram so we can at least
[51:31] Speaker 3: just watch it somehow.
[51:32] Speaker 2: Let's remember who said that this happened.
[51:34] Speaker 3: To Billy, right, and Billy has been known to Okay, well,
[51:40] Speaker 3: then can we talk. We'll try to talk to somebody
[51:42] Speaker 3: else from the season, because they were all there this moment,
[51:45] Speaker 3: and we can say, did Billy's butt catch on fire?
[51:48] Speaker 2: And did Jeff go Billy's engulfed in flames?
[51:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, I need to talk to Billy for so many
[51:54] Speaker 4: reasons that we'll get to the next couple of weeks
[51:56] Speaker 4: as well.
[51:56] Speaker 2: But uh yeah, I think overall a really great episodes.
[52:02] Speaker 2: I think it's a really really strong start to the season.
[52:05] Speaker 4: And every time, you know, I kind of go back
[52:07] Speaker 4: and forth between eras, and every time I go back
[52:11] Speaker 4: to the hour long episodes, I'm like, it's to put
[52:14] Speaker 4: so much.
[52:15] Speaker 2: It's so much in such a small amount of time,
[52:18] Speaker 2: and it is. I still love New Era.
[52:23] Speaker 4: I do get arguments just from a Hey, I don't
[52:28] Speaker 4: know how it feels like with longer episodes, I'm getting
[52:31] Speaker 4: to know these people less.
[52:32] Speaker 2: But somehow it feels like that, and.
[52:35] Speaker 4: It's just really interesting, like the way in which they
[52:38] Speaker 4: told stories in forty six minutes of TV for sus
[52:43] Speaker 4: an hour and twenty three is.
[52:46] Speaker 2: Really impressive. What they what they were able to do
[52:49] Speaker 2: at that time.
[52:50] Speaker 3: I mean, we couldn't have Mitch wouldn't have had as
[52:52] Speaker 3: many opportunities to say I need to make a move.
[52:55] Speaker 2: That's right. If we don't have it, if we don't
[52:58] Speaker 2: have that full hour and a half, what do I mean?
[53:00] Speaker 2: Don't even guys, this is amazing. Uh.
[53:04] Speaker 3: Billy Garcia has followed us back. I followed him earlier
[53:07] Speaker 3: just to try to get his attention, Like I said,
[53:10] Speaker 3: him right now, okay, right now is the pr person.
[53:14] Speaker 2: I'll let him man, okay, slide into his.
[53:16] Speaker 4: D MS and be like, hey, we're literally reporting an
[53:19] Speaker 4: episode right now.
[53:20] Speaker 3: We can't just have him on next week. We have
[53:22] Speaker 3: to have him on when the Candice thing happened. So
[53:25] Speaker 3: in two weeks okay, that episode three? I think, So okay,
[53:28] Speaker 3: it might no is it next week?
[53:31] Speaker 4: It's next okay, because they throw the challenge and they
[53:34] Speaker 4: vote him out.
[53:35] Speaker 2: Yeah, well spoilers, well, because they're not gonna be spoil
[53:44] Speaker 2: anything else. Okay. So that brings us to what I'm
[53:47] Speaker 2: very excited for talking to Billy. Well, yeah, he's already.
[53:51] Speaker 2: He's on the line right the wonderful We're gonna do
[53:54] Speaker 2: a thing with brand. Every episode we're brand because you
[53:58] Speaker 2: have not seen this full season. I trying to guess
[53:59] Speaker 2: you've only see in the first three episodes. Every episode,
[54:01] Speaker 2: you're gonna lock in a prediction for who you think
[54:03] Speaker 2: wins like this, like ther own personal draft. It will
[54:07] Speaker 2: help me for next season. First, please don't give us
[54:10] Speaker 2: the name, just give us the race. He man, Are
[54:15] Speaker 2: we gonna be allowed to keep making podcasts? I think so?
[54:18] Speaker 2: All right, So who do you think wins this season?
[54:22] Speaker 2: Lock it in, baby, if you if you nail it
[54:23] Speaker 2: first episode, you'll go down in this.
[54:24] Speaker 4: Okay, So this is what I'm gonna go. I'm gonna
[54:27] Speaker 4: I'm gonna use some like I don't think I I
[54:33] Speaker 4: I think Ozzie wins at some point. I don't think
[54:36] Speaker 4: he wins this season because all he does really is
[54:40] Speaker 4: like climb trees and throwst.
[54:41] Speaker 2: Hole one episode and he did the most amazing thing ever.
[54:46] Speaker 4: Climb a tree is starting a fire without anything is
[54:50] Speaker 4: more impressive to me than climbing a tree.
[54:53] Speaker 2: Go climb a tree, Brian. Yeah, Anyway, I am going
[54:59] Speaker 2: to to lock in. I need to look up it
[55:07] Speaker 2: and you can change it week to week. It's not
[55:09] Speaker 2: like you have to on the Asian tribe. And he's
[55:17] Speaker 2: like this the strong guy, Yulele or do you mean
[55:23] Speaker 2: the like the really built one. They both have picture
[55:28] Speaker 2: of both, but Yule is the bigger one. Are you
[55:30] Speaker 2: talking about this guy or show the next one? This
[55:36] Speaker 2: guy that I'm going with Yule. I'm locking in Mule.
[55:42] Speaker 2: I'm gonna pull my chase bridges and I'm gonna I'm
[55:44] Speaker 2: gonna lock in. I'm gonna lock in eMule as the killer.
[55:49] Speaker 2: And by killer, I mean the one who's gonna win,
[55:52] Speaker 2: survivor cook.
[55:54] Speaker 3: Well to pull the chase bridges, I mean, you're picking
[55:56] Speaker 3: the biggest threat immediately, Harry.
[55:59] Speaker 2: I'm not going into Holy blind here, right, Like of
[56:01] Speaker 2: course I've heard of Ozzie. Of course, I've heard of Peverity.
[56:05] Speaker 4: Like I've heard of her, Like I've heard of these people,
[56:08] Speaker 4: and so obviously the easy pick would beat with one.
[56:12] Speaker 2: Of these to take one of the returning whites, Yeah yeah,
[56:19] Speaker 2: and I'm not gonna do that.
[56:21] Speaker 4: I'm gonna lock in Yule. Okay, who at the very
[56:25] Speaker 4: least isn't showing back up for fifty.
[56:27] Speaker 2: And then next week. I have a prediction that Brand's
[56:29] Speaker 2: gonna switch it over to Billy. Yeah, I don't know,
[56:37] Speaker 2: it's gonna be great. No, I'm locking in Mule. I'm
[56:40] Speaker 2: locking in Billy for this podcast. Yeah dude, Yeah, we'll
[56:43] Speaker 2: get him on the show either. This next week is
[56:45] Speaker 2: the one where he was the crazy We don't know
[56:47] Speaker 2: if it's Yeah, I mean you said if when he
[56:49] Speaker 2: threw the challenge.
[56:49] Speaker 4: And be pretty fun if you would show up for
[56:52] Speaker 4: the like us talking about the episode, like just break
[56:55] Speaker 4: down the episode.
[56:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I had in mind, just having not
[56:59] Speaker 2: even interview, but just like a fun Yeah, we have
[57:04] Speaker 2: a rewatch Billy, come hop in the time Machine. Oh yeah,
[57:09] Speaker 2: that's good. We're gonna get a different theme song, right,
[57:11] Speaker 2: I just thought that because that was about Cook Islands.
[57:14] Speaker 2: He does several songs on that episode, so we could
[57:17] Speaker 2: do other signs.
[57:18] Speaker 3: I think we could just make a time Machine theme song,
[57:21] Speaker 3: not Jeff Probe's race comedy every week.
[57:24] Speaker 2: Well, the other songs aren't about race. I mean, this
[57:25] Speaker 2: one wasn't about race. It was about fat shaming. Yeah,
[57:30] Speaker 2: it was so much better. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think
[57:34] Speaker 2: it was making fun of Richard Hatch being naked all
[57:36] Speaker 2: the time. So we're being homophobic to Son all of
[57:42] Speaker 2: a sudden, we hate people who don't pay their taxes. Dog,
[57:45] Speaker 2: that's an American hero in my band, taxation is theft. Okay, guys,
[57:51] Speaker 2: this has been I don't know if we're gonna be
[57:54] Speaker 2: renewed by Bramble jam for we'll see how well we
[57:59] Speaker 2: are gonna be nude. And that's because I gave Dan
[58:02] Speaker 2: free food when he came to the restaurant. Spoke very
[58:08] Speaker 2: highly Dan, boss man Dan. For some reason, because we
[58:12] Speaker 2: see you more. I feel like Dan's kind of like
[58:15] Speaker 2: the principal, you know what I mean. I mean he
[58:17] Speaker 2: was a principal. He does. He has has that vibe
[58:20] Speaker 2: that or like when Dan walks in the room sometimes
[58:22] Speaker 2: I'm like, all right, we gotta be on our best behavior. Attention.
[58:25] Speaker 3: I have an invite to the pool from his kids.
[58:28] Speaker 3: I don't know if he knows about the invite.
[58:31] Speaker 2: I just put an above ground pool in my place.
[58:33] Speaker 2: Really yeah, his is built in. It's in ground pool,
[58:36] Speaker 2: ground pool. He's got the Hallmark money. Give me, give
[58:39] Speaker 2: me six months, I'll get it in ground pool. Okay,
[58:42] Speaker 2: let's see how this Riverdale video does and beefing with Dan.
[58:45] Speaker 2: I just don't like other people having nicer things. I mean,
[58:47] Speaker 2: I've never given you free food. It's never been to
[58:49] Speaker 2: your restaurant. Yeah that's true. If we chase there, people
[58:54] Speaker 2: get caught on fire there. Hey, if Chase and I
[58:57] Speaker 2: show up, yeah, wait what your restaurant?
[59:00] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[59:01] Speaker 2: He did, dude, backside full of kerosen. If Chase and
[59:04] Speaker 2: I go to the restaurant, do we have to, Like,
[59:06] Speaker 2: do we have to pay? We should go? Yeah, you
[59:08] Speaker 2: have to. It's expensive to I can get you are
[59:11] Speaker 2: but you can't get us a free meal. What you've
[59:13] Speaker 2: got Dan was very nice? Yeah? What you what I got?
[59:17] Speaker 2: I got Dan bacon wrapped fill a that was fried.
[59:20] Speaker 2: That's not bad. That sounds great. We should go. His
[59:24] Speaker 2: kids love to. I think that's why I got the pool.
[59:26] Speaker 2: Invite invite Dan too, and we'll make it a company
[59:28] Speaker 2: thing and you guys pay for it. Sure you want
[59:31] Speaker 2: to come to Chases? What if you all catch on fire?
[59:35] Speaker 2: I don't know. This is a ton of fun, man.
[59:37] Speaker 2: I like how laid back this one is. Are you
[59:40] Speaker 2: guys got to make a prediction for next week? Well,
[59:41] Speaker 2: Jonathan be here.
[59:43] Speaker 5: No, no.
[59:43] Speaker 3: I think he already said like, I can't do the
[59:45] Speaker 3: first thing, which means he's not gonna binge four episodes
[59:48] Speaker 3: to be on the fourth one. Jonathan's just not gonna Hey, listeners,
[59:52] Speaker 3: can you harass Jonathan? If you've made it this far
[59:54] Speaker 3: in the episode, go harass John.
[59:56] Speaker 4: Go check out his latest video where he talks about
[59:59] Speaker 4: some band no one's heard of, and be like, hey,
[1:00:02] Speaker 4: you should just be watching Survivor.
[1:00:03] Speaker 3: Yeah, say that, or go to his Instagram and if
[1:00:06] Speaker 3: it's like a picture of his baby and say that
[1:00:09] Speaker 3: is very nice, but you know it's better watching Survivor
[1:00:12] Speaker 3: with your friends.
[1:00:12] Speaker 2: And talking about it. It's about to be his daughter's
[1:00:15] Speaker 2: first birthday, and he put that in the chat, and
[1:00:17] Speaker 2: I was like, it's only been a year of that
[1:00:18] Speaker 2: baby ruining our shit. Feels like five, feels like it's
[1:00:22] Speaker 2: been happening forever.
[1:00:23] Speaker 3: But it's gonna be great when we can just replace
[1:00:26] Speaker 3: him with her with the baby. Yeah, yeah, in like
[1:00:29] Speaker 3: four years from now. Oh yeah, she'll be able to
[1:00:31] Speaker 3: talk better for sure. I mean, at the very least
[1:00:33] Speaker 3: the baby will show up.
[1:00:35] Speaker 2: Definitely, that baby got going on. Yeah, and baby will
[1:00:37] Speaker 2: contribute if as much, if not more, probably more, Yeah,
[1:00:41] Speaker 2: probably more. Yeah, we love that baby, Yeah, we love
[1:00:44] Speaker 2: that baby. The name on the count of three, one, two, three,
[1:00:48] Speaker 2: lizzz the name of the baby. I didn't know what
[1:00:54] Speaker 2: we were doing. Let's all say the name of the
[1:00:56] Speaker 2: baby on three, one, two three baby. All right, Oh,
[1:01:05] Speaker 2: why did you play? Let's go?
[1:01:15] Speaker 4: You're about to hear some ads that helped keep the
[1:01:18] Speaker 4: lights on here in the old studio. Thanks for listening
[1:01:23] Speaker 4: or don't listen. It's really up to you. At this point.
[1:01:26] Speaker 4: It is at the end of the show. I mean,
[1:01:27] Speaker 4: you're listening to me.
[1:01:28] Speaker 1: Hi.
[1:01:30] Speaker 2: But here they come. I promised they're coming. Yep, here
[1:01:32] Speaker 2: they are. Happy Day.
