[0:42] Speaker 4: I remember this moment. I think last week I talked
[0:44] Speaker 4: about it. I was like, I don't remember what the
[0:45] Speaker 4: twist is, but I remember it being a big deal.
[0:47] Speaker 3: Yeah, And this is like an episode that when you
[0:50] Speaker 3: watch it, you go, that's how you do it.
[0:52] Speaker 5: That's That's what I'm talking about.
[0:54] Speaker 6: That's how you do a twist on Survivor.
[0:57] Speaker 4: Hey, we get an iconic sassy Jeff mo in this episode,
[1:00] Speaker 4: so let's jump right in because I'm excited.
[1:03] Speaker 3: Yeah, So everybody at it, minus Ozzie is talking. Pinner
[1:07] Speaker 3: wants Ozzie out Mules, like, hey, let's let's not turn
[1:10] Speaker 3: on each other yet. You know, Yule is trying to
[1:12] Speaker 3: keep the peace in that moment. But Candace, she doesn't
[1:15] Speaker 3: want to be a part of the group at all.
[1:16] Speaker 3: She wants to be back with her favorite whites, Adam
[1:18] Speaker 3: and Poverty.
[1:19] Speaker 7: That's exactly right.
[1:22] Speaker 5: This episode.
[1:23] Speaker 8: Yeah, Penner, I believe literally says out loud, let's just
[1:30] Speaker 8: go together with all the whites, like.
[1:32] Speaker 4: I doesn't have the exact quote. I have the exact quote. Okay,
[1:36] Speaker 4: maybe it'll be US Caucasians in the final four.
[1:40] Speaker 3: Yeah, and that when I said, oh, he just Pinner
[1:44] Speaker 3: wants a Caucasian final four. Let's get the whites all
[1:46] Speaker 3: the way to the end, baby, That's Pinner's game plan.
[1:50] Speaker 5: That's every season.
[1:54] Speaker 3: But Candace isn't so sold on whites all the way
[1:56] Speaker 3: because she wants Jonathan GoF.
[1:58] Speaker 4: She likes other whites, though she wants to really get
[2:00] Speaker 4: with her old whites.
[2:01] Speaker 5: She doesn't care much for the new white.
[2:04] Speaker 8: The interesting thing about Penner in this episode in particular,
[2:08] Speaker 8: and we'll get to there's a lot of Penner to
[2:09] Speaker 8: go around this episode, but it feels like for as
[2:15] Speaker 8: like in control of the game up until when he
[2:19] Speaker 8: had to be evacuated medically in Heroes Versus Villains, that
[2:25] Speaker 8: he felt like he was in control, like for that
[2:28] Speaker 8: little run that he had there.
[2:29] Speaker 9: It feels like he thinks he's in control of this
[2:33] Speaker 9: season and he's not, like everybody is scheming around him,
[2:38] Speaker 9: and it feels like he thinks that he had like
[2:41] Speaker 9: he's got his finger on the pulse of everything.
[2:44] Speaker 8: In reality, it doesn't really feel like he does, like
[2:47] Speaker 8: in all the other conversations that happened without him, And
[2:49] Speaker 8: so it's interesting to compare that to his performance and
[2:52] Speaker 8: Heroes versus Villains, which if he didn't get medically evacuated,
[2:56] Speaker 8: I for my money, I think he has a good
[2:58] Speaker 8: chance of going all the way. There's no way to
[3:00] Speaker 8: prove that, but it's interesting.
[3:04] Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's kind of embarrassing.
[3:05] Speaker 4: What happens to him in this episode is like he's
[3:07] Speaker 4: just like he thinks he's a part of the cool kids,
[3:10] Speaker 4: and all the cool kids and the not cool kids
[3:12] Speaker 4: are like, we don't care about.
[3:13] Speaker 7: It made me embarrass to be a Pinner fan.
[3:16] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[3:16] Speaker 4: And that's the thing too, is like I remember, and
[3:18] Speaker 4: I guess it's because I remember Pinner's other seasons so well.
[3:21] Speaker 4: I remember thinking he was great at the game, but
[3:24] Speaker 4: so far in Cook Islands, he's not been.
[3:26] Speaker 5: Playing a great game.
[3:27] Speaker 3: But here's the thing about Pinner in this season, great body.
[3:30] Speaker 3: I think he looks Yeah, he looks jacked.
[3:33] Speaker 5: Yeah, dude looks good man.
[3:34] Speaker 7: This is this is prime, prime Pinner people.
[3:37] Speaker 3: Yeah, Brad says it's pretty much everyone for themselves at
[3:42] Speaker 3: this point, and that it causes uh yeah, quite a stir.
[3:45] Speaker 3: Nate already hated him.
[3:47] Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't want to get too in the weeds
[3:51] Speaker 8: and uh two into the spoilers yet, but yeah, that's
[3:56] Speaker 8: a that was a tough thing to come back from
[3:59] Speaker 8: when you're like, hey, I think it's we're not even
[4:01] Speaker 8: of the merge yet. Brother, Like he's over here being like,
[4:05] Speaker 8: I think it's every man for himself.
[4:06] Speaker 7: Just keep that to yourself.
[4:08] Speaker 4: Times is someone on that tribe gonna just say something
[4:10] Speaker 4: to Nate and Nate just goes, we gotta get this person,
[4:16] Speaker 4: Nate dog.
[4:18] Speaker 3: He's hated Brad two weeks in a row now because
[4:21] Speaker 3: first he didn't volunteer to swim and then that was it.
[4:25] Speaker 6: Yeah, dude, Which an another thing about Nate.
[4:29] Speaker 4: I feel like I say this every episode. How come
[4:31] Speaker 4: Nate was never asked back. He's one of the most
[4:34] Speaker 4: part the season.
[4:35] Speaker 8: Nate has some great lines in this episode too, dude,
[4:38] Speaker 8: so funny. He has some sort of line about cutting
[4:42] Speaker 8: it like poop or something like that, like just really
[4:44] Speaker 8: weird stuff. But he gives some great, great confessionals.
[4:49] Speaker 3: It's getting Nate on the show.
[4:51] Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I wonder what he's up to.
[4:53] Speaker 3: Yeah, someone track him down for us.
[4:55] Speaker 8: Remember we were gonna have a guest every episode during

[5:42] Speaker 3: is a challenge time with Chase.
[5:44] Speaker 6: We have the big twist, the mutiny twist.
[5:50] Speaker 5: Guys.
[5:50] Speaker 4: What happens with the mutiny twist is everyone has the
[5:53] Speaker 4: option if they want to stay with their current tribe
[5:58] Speaker 4: or switch tribes.
[5:59] Speaker 5: It's six six right now, so it's completely even.
[6:02] Speaker 4: They're both standing opposite each other, and if you want
[6:05] Speaker 4: to just go to the other tribe, all you have
[6:08] Speaker 4: to do is step forward for a little bit. Nobody moves.
[6:12] Speaker 4: Jeff starts counting down from ten. Halfway through, Candice, who
[6:17] Speaker 4: has already talked about wanting to get back over there
[6:19] Speaker 4: with Adam and Parv steps forward. There's two seconds left
[6:24] Speaker 4: of Jeff's countdown. Jonathan Pinner panics and just jumps out
[6:29] Speaker 4: there too.
[6:30] Speaker 5: So now those two go.
[6:32] Speaker 4: To the other team, making it eight versus four right
[6:37] Speaker 4: before the merge.
[6:39] Speaker 3: Yep, that's how business picked up in this episode or other.
[6:43] Speaker 8: You know what it felt like kind of like high school,
[6:47] Speaker 8: you know, and you have like a crush on this
[6:49] Speaker 8: girl and she goes and she does something, and you're like, well.
[6:52] Speaker 7: I guess I'm going too.
[6:54] Speaker 8: But then when you get there, you realize that no
[6:56] Speaker 8: one wanted you there in the first place. I don't
[6:58] Speaker 8: know if that's just a very specific fake example from
[7:01] Speaker 8: my life, but that's what that's what That's what it
[7:04] Speaker 8: felt like to me. Like Pinner was like, I guess
[7:06] Speaker 8: I didn't need to go too, And then I have
[7:09] Speaker 8: to imagine.
[7:10] Speaker 3: He regretted that pretty quickly, but I think he literally
[7:12] Speaker 3: says later in the episode, this might not have been
[7:15] Speaker 3: such a good move.
[7:16] Speaker 5: So here's the thing.
[7:18] Speaker 4: They're so close to the merge. It's so so worried
[7:21] Speaker 4: that Candice is gonna leave and you're gonna.
[7:23] Speaker 5: Lose the numbers. Just wait to the merge to flip
[7:27] Speaker 5: on your current tribe. But also back to the whites later,
[7:30] Speaker 5: he would.
[7:31] Speaker 3: Have like they. He could have been beloved in that tribe,
[7:35] Speaker 3: especially you know they were about to win that reward.
[7:36] Speaker 3: He would have been able to bond with them, and
[7:38] Speaker 3: then he would have been like the loyal white.
[7:41] Speaker 4: The two white people on the tribe betray the minorities. Yeah,
[7:46] Speaker 4: exactly what I mean, what in the colonization is going on?
[7:50] Speaker 3: Pinner wants his Caucasian Final Four.
[7:53] Speaker 5: It's insane, dude. It really is the race war season.
[7:57] Speaker 7: But I'm sure loved it.
[8:00] Speaker 4: You know, they were panicking a white guy or a
[8:02] Speaker 4: white person hasn't gone home. I mean, finally Flicka went home.
[8:05] Speaker 4: But it's like the whole season, the whites have been
[8:08] Speaker 4: strong and then now they're teaming up trying to make
[8:10] Speaker 4: it to the final four. They were probably terrified. Yeah,
[8:15] Speaker 4: the reward challenge part of the guys for the reward challenge,
[8:22] Speaker 4: there's two people from each tribe. One tribe only has four.
[8:26] Speaker 4: Two from each tribeill get in a barrel. The rest
[8:29] Speaker 4: of the tribe will push you in the barrel through
[8:31] Speaker 4: a series of obstacles.
[8:33] Speaker 5: Along the way.
[8:34] Speaker 4: You will collect buoys will that you will then attach
[8:37] Speaker 4: to the barrel and float the two people in the
[8:40] Speaker 4: barrel across the lagoon. Halfway through the lagoon, you have
[8:45] Speaker 4: to swim down and retrieve four flags. When you reach
[8:48] Speaker 4: the other side, you attach the flags to a flagpole.
[8:51] Speaker 4: The tribe then has to dig in the sand to
[8:54] Speaker 4: retrieve an axe, which they will then use to chop
[8:57] Speaker 4: a rope that will raise their flag. The first flag
[9:01] Speaker 4: raised wins reward at the Sanctuary where Good Things Happened.
[9:07] Speaker 4: It's not actually called the Sanctuary, but it's the sanctuary.
[9:10] Speaker 3: Is kind of looks not a sanctuary.
[9:13] Speaker 4: It looks way better and they get coffee and danishes robes.
[9:18] Speaker 4: But the big thing that they're playing for is the
[9:20] Speaker 4: letters from.
[9:22] Speaker 8: Om the t and I gotta be honest with you.
[9:28] Speaker 8: If you're gonna turn on Ozzy, don't do it right
[9:32] Speaker 8: before challenge like I saw.
[9:35] Speaker 7: Another side of.
[9:36] Speaker 3: Oz is somebody impressed? Is somebody would you say.
[9:40] Speaker 7: Thank you for bringing it up? PD? I am man
[9:42] Speaker 7: enough to admit when I am wrong.
[9:43] Speaker 8: This episode, I I was like, Ozzie, this is a
[9:47] Speaker 8: this is a good Ossy episode.
[9:49] Speaker 7: Yeah, all the way around good OZSI episode. He there
[9:52] Speaker 7: was another like he has another.
[9:55] Speaker 8: Obviously he's very impressive and challenges that's never been a question.
[10:00] Speaker 8: But I didn't know that he had another level to
[10:02] Speaker 8: him when it came like and it's like this fire
[10:05] Speaker 8: in his eyes that I figured was usually hidden away
[10:10] Speaker 8: for behind a paywall, but just another level and it
[10:14] Speaker 8: was really impressive to see.
[10:16] Speaker 7: Did you what did you guys think about the barrel?
[10:19] Speaker 7: Like having the people in the barrel?
[10:20] Speaker 4: They those people in the bar were getting the shit
[10:22] Speaker 4: beat out of them, dude, Like that was rough.
[10:25] Speaker 8: It streamed like they like were just kind of poking
[10:28] Speaker 8: around there, like can we do anything with these barrels?
[10:31] Speaker 7: And someone was like what if we put people in them?
[10:34] Speaker 7: And they were like, yeah, what if we put people?
[10:38] Speaker 4: It's already wild if you could just put one person.
[10:41] Speaker 4: They around so it's like you're getting dizzy. Then they're
[10:44] Speaker 4: going up over these little bumps.
[10:46] Speaker 5: Right, which was just hurt.
[10:48] Speaker 4: And it's like Ozzy and Yule are just having to
[10:50] Speaker 4: use all their strength because I mean you know, you
[10:53] Speaker 4: got two people in the barrels, so at minimum it's
[10:55] Speaker 4: probably at least one hundred and fifty pounds, right, So
[10:58] Speaker 4: they were trying to pick it up, you know, the string,
[11:00] Speaker 4: it's hitting the ground super hard. Then you got to
[11:02] Speaker 4: tie booies to it and float them across the ocean.
[11:07] Speaker 8: And to get the booey to the part where you
[11:10] Speaker 8: tie him, you have to like stuff them in the
[11:12] Speaker 8: barrel with the people brutal, it's rough.
[11:16] Speaker 4: At one point, Jeff even goes the ladies in the
[11:18] Speaker 4: barrel are being suffocated by the boois.
[11:22] Speaker 7: He loves it.
[11:25] Speaker 5: The challenge is on its way.
[11:27] Speaker 4: I too, is way in the lead the whole time
[11:31] Speaker 4: because they have the prints of Coconuts. Ozzie and King
[11:36] Speaker 4: Yule Rairero is struggling so bad with getting the barrel
[11:40] Speaker 4: across the lagoon that Candice who is in the barrel
[11:43] Speaker 4: and is playing for her new tribe that she just joined.
[11:46] Speaker 4: By the way, I would be concerned that she joined
[11:50] Speaker 4: to try to like throw the challenge, you know what
[11:53] Speaker 4: I mean. But so she's like hanging out of the
[11:56] Speaker 4: barrel swimming trying to help them because they are just
[11:59] Speaker 4: not capable of getting the barrel across the lagoon. It
[12:02] Speaker 4: is a complete blowout. I two wins the competition, while
[12:06] Speaker 4: Ozzie starts yelling at Candice and Pinner that Mutineers are
[12:10] Speaker 4: the first people to die. Yell HeSE are the first
[12:13] Speaker 4: people to die. Man, I don't think you could say
[12:15] Speaker 4: he yelled it. I think he he just said it.
[12:18] Speaker 4: I don't think Ozzy yells at least not.
[12:21] Speaker 6: It was.
[12:21] Speaker 7: It was the Ozzie equivalent of yelling. It was impassioned.
[12:26] Speaker 5: Yeah, because he was even just like let's go. He
[12:28] Speaker 5: was very intense.
[12:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, it was. It was a very good line. I
[12:32] Speaker 3: was like, this has to be the moment that brand
[12:34] Speaker 3: has to admit he was wrong. So I'm glad that
[12:36] Speaker 3: that already happened.
[12:37] Speaker 7: Yes, I did it.
[12:39] Speaker 8: It almost felt like these people were in two different
[12:43] Speaker 8: bodies of water, like they just experienced it completely different.
[12:48] Speaker 8: Like one it felt like they were like battling like
[12:51] Speaker 8: a storm out in the middle of the ocean.
[12:53] Speaker 7: They're like, we can't do it, and the other one
[12:54] Speaker 7: just like, hey, here we go.
[12:56] Speaker 5: It was crazy, Yeah.
[12:58] Speaker 7: It was.
[12:59] Speaker 4: It was really the winning tribe gets to send the
[13:02] Speaker 4: losing someone from the losing tribe to Xole Island, which
[13:05] Speaker 4: I'm not sure what the point of Exile Island has
[13:07] Speaker 4: been this season, but it was.
[13:09] Speaker 5: Very funny because Ozzie goes.
[13:12] Speaker 4: Hm, who are we going to send ah Candace? So
[13:16] Speaker 4: as kind of like an fu for betraying us, they
[13:19] Speaker 4: send Candace to exou Island, which is and cantrimental.
[13:23] Speaker 8: Yeah, And the nice thing is and if if the
[13:27] Speaker 8: if they were thinking it through, they might have been
[13:29] Speaker 8: able to figure out, hey, maybe you'll might have the idol,
[13:32] Speaker 8: because I feel like, if you're so mad at Candace,
[13:37] Speaker 8: you only send her to Exile Island if you know
[13:40] Speaker 8: there's no possible way of her actually getting any sort
[13:43] Speaker 8: of advantage, and so it's really just payback, right because
[13:49] Speaker 8: they know, like you'll know. And h I found that
[13:53] Speaker 8: to be interesting, like if if there was a chance
[13:56] Speaker 8: for an idol, you they maybe wouldn't have sent Candace
[13:59] Speaker 8: because they're so mad at her.
[14:01] Speaker 3: Mm. Yeah, I didn't think about that at all. It's like,
[14:04] Speaker 3: here's the pointless exile segment.
[14:07] Speaker 6: Yeah, thoughtless.
[14:09] Speaker 3: It's pointless because of Yule.
[14:11] Speaker 7: Yeah yeah.
[14:13] Speaker 4: And I mean we've seen several people have the conversation.
[14:15] Speaker 4: I think Pinner in particular, being like there's no way
[14:18] Speaker 4: that that idol is there. So I think that everyone
[14:21] Speaker 4: thinks that the idol has been taken. They just don't
[14:23] Speaker 4: know who has it except for Yule of course.
[14:27] Speaker 5: So Cannice being.
[14:28] Speaker 4: Alone on exile, though, means that she is not capable
[14:31] Speaker 4: of spending time with the new tribe that she just
[14:34] Speaker 4: mutant need for.
[14:36] Speaker 8: Yeah, maybe Pena can really kind of get the troops
[14:40] Speaker 8: together himself.
[14:42] Speaker 7: To worry about it.
[14:43] Speaker 3: But Yule, Azzie, Sundra, and Becky went to the sanctuary
[14:48] Speaker 3: not sanctuary, and they played this bizarre royalty free like
[14:52] Speaker 3: country blues sounding music when they got there. It really
[14:57] Speaker 3: threw me off.
[14:58] Speaker 7: It was like the music, I'll say that much.
[15:01] Speaker 3: Definitely not But they were all wearing robes and eating doughnuts,
[15:05] Speaker 3: and they all got pictures and letters from home, So
[15:07] Speaker 3: like this place it really is the sanctuary where good
[15:10] Speaker 3: things happen.
[15:11] Speaker 5: He yeah, way better than the actual sanction.
[15:13] Speaker 3: Pennery he's on New Railroad now, and he's not feeling
[15:16] Speaker 3: comfy at all. He's trying to make a sales pitch,
[15:19] Speaker 3: Like when he's talking to everybody, He's he's like, look,
[15:21] Speaker 3: I'm trustworthy, all right, And me and Kansas like we
[15:24] Speaker 3: wouldn't have done this if we didn't feel really good
[15:26] Speaker 3: about everyone over here. And it just did not seem
[15:28] Speaker 3: to land at all.
[15:30] Speaker 7: No.
[15:30] Speaker 4: Nate even says, and I quote, you must be smoking
[15:33] Speaker 4: some good stuff if you think you're gonna roll up
[15:35] Speaker 4: in our crib and start stirring waters. Yeah, And he
[15:40] Speaker 4: also makes another good point, which is, uh, you know what,
[15:43] Speaker 4: Pinner goes, I think I like to think of myself
[15:45] Speaker 4: as a loyal person, and Nate goes, Dude, you just
[15:49] Speaker 4: betrayed your other tribes.
[15:53] Speaker 3: He's working really hard to try to save himself and yeah,
[15:56] Speaker 3: it wasn't working, but he was talking to Adham, and
[15:59] Speaker 3: it briefly worked on Adam because Adam Adam is like,
[16:02] Speaker 3: you want to go to the final four with me?
[16:04] Speaker 3: Like you want me in your final four? That sounds
[16:06] Speaker 3: good to me.
[16:06] Speaker 4: Yeah, And Adam later on has a really good argument
[16:09] Speaker 4: for keeping Pinner, which is he.
[16:11] Speaker 5: Can't go back to his old tribe, right and.
[16:16] Speaker 8: Yeah, literally, and it was so shortsighted like by Pinner,
[16:21] Speaker 8: like you can kiss, like if he does get to
[16:24] Speaker 8: the finals, you can kiss those four people's votes goodbye,
[16:29] Speaker 8: like not gonna get them.
[16:31] Speaker 4: That's it's a level and and they don't seem to
[16:34] Speaker 4: be as upset with Candas as they are with Pinner.
[16:37] Speaker 7: Yeah, I think they.
[16:39] Speaker 4: Candas kind of had a plan in place, Like Candace
[16:42] Speaker 4: was wanted by Adam and Parv like that was her alliance.
[16:46] Speaker 4: So I don't think they cared as much but Pinner.
[16:49] Speaker 4: For Pinner to go, it puts them at such a
[16:51] Speaker 4: disadvantage going into the merge because it's four versus.
[16:56] Speaker 5: Eight.
[16:57] Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, and I think there's everybody, and I
[16:59] Speaker 8: think I think everyone talks about it in this episode,
[17:01] Speaker 8: but it just very much feels like Pinner's playing both sides.
[17:05] Speaker 4: Yeah, but now he had to make a choice, and
[17:07] Speaker 4: he made the wrong choice for sure.
[17:08] Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think that brings us to Immunity Challenge
[17:12] Speaker 3: time with Chase.
[17:13] Speaker 7: Everybody's second favorite episode.
[17:15] Speaker 5: It's the Immunity Challenge. Guys.
[17:17] Speaker 4: You have to paddle out in a glass bottom boat
[17:19] Speaker 4: looking for underwater targets. A glass bottom boat, really like
