[1:01] Speaker 1: really happened. But but then some people were like, I
[1:05] Speaker 1: think it was funny and that like it was a
[1:07] Speaker 1: dry bite, It wasn't even that dangerous, and they acted
[1:10] Speaker 1: like it was this whole big thing.
[1:12] Speaker 3: I know that.
[1:12] Speaker 1: I said previously that I wasn't gonna do this. I
[1:15] Speaker 1: wasn't gonna complain about the complaining this year, But here
[1:18] Speaker 1: I am.
[1:19] Speaker 3: I love complaining about the complaining because it doesn't like
[1:23] Speaker 3: we're not helping matters. But it I feel like there's
[1:29] Speaker 3: not that many champions for the show anymore. I feel
[1:33] Speaker 3: like Survivor. I think what upsets me is like ninety
[1:39] Speaker 3: percent of the stuff I see online about Survivor is
[1:41] Speaker 3: people hating on Survivor. So I get a little frustrated
[1:44] Speaker 3: because I'm like, just stop watching. You're gonna bitch about
[1:46] Speaker 3: it all the time. You stop watching.
[1:48] Speaker 1: And that's like with WWE. To bring it back to wrestling. Yeah,
[1:51] Speaker 1: I found myself in that position where I was just
[1:54] Speaker 1: complaining about it all the time, and I was like,
[1:56] Speaker 1: you know what, I'm just gonna I'm gonna give up
[1:59] Speaker 1: on this. It's not worth it for me to just
[2:01] Speaker 1: be frustrated every week.
[2:03] Speaker 3: Say something I'm giving up on you.
[2:07] Speaker 1: That's what I said to Vince McMahon in twenty sixteen.

[2:50] Speaker 3: and that professionalism comes from not analytical dissection, not from
[2:57] Speaker 3: being intelligent and thinking through the game from different perspectives,
[3:01] Speaker 3: but just from actually, you know, I don't know.
[3:07] Speaker 1: I don't know if there is any professionalism. I don't
[3:09] Speaker 1: know if if there is any, it comes from brand.
[3:12] Speaker 3: Yeah, the guy who runs a podcast network, go figure.
[3:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, So we're gonna talk some more about Jake and
[3:19] Speaker 1: specifically Jake's response to his elimination. And I first, I
[3:26] Speaker 1: want to play a clip from our podcast last week,
[3:31] Speaker 1: and the silver lining is, not only did his dad
[3:34] Speaker 1: get to see him play Survivor, he also got to
[3:37] Speaker 1: be there around the general timeframe of his baby's birth.
[3:40] Speaker 3: He did get to be.
[3:41] Speaker 4: There, how much you want to bet Jake saw the
[3:45] Speaker 4: birth of his child and thought, I'm really glad I'm
[3:48] Speaker 4: here Instead, did he see the birth or did he
[3:50] Speaker 4: get there like right after, I don't know what the
[3:51] Speaker 4: time he was there for the birth of his son. Yeah, Okay,
[3:56] Speaker 4: so I would be I would say that probably got
[4:01] Speaker 4: home after a near death experience and realizing, hey, maybe
[4:05] Speaker 4: I should be home with my family for this massive event.
[4:08] Speaker 3: Witnesses the birth of his child and is like, I'm
[4:10] Speaker 3: glad I'm here.
[4:12] Speaker 1: Okay, So that was what we thought. And then I
[4:14] Speaker 1: get on Instagram the next day and I see a
[4:17] Speaker 1: collab post from Survivor CBS and mister Jake Latimer mm hmm.
[4:23] Speaker 1: And there was a question asked, how did you feel
[4:25] Speaker 1: when you were pulled from the game, And it's a
[4:28] Speaker 1: picture of him crying with like the breathing tube of
[4:30] Speaker 1: his nose, and he said, getting pulled from the game
[4:34] Speaker 1: destroyed me. There's not a day that goes by that
[4:37] Speaker 1: I don't think about it. I believe I have a
[4:39] Speaker 1: lot more to give in the game. So he was
[4:42] Speaker 1: that basketball like the Vince Carter mem of I got
[4:45] Speaker 1: one more in me.
[4:45] Speaker 3: I got one more in me. Come on. So I'm
[4:49] Speaker 3: sorready interrupt. I'm so surprised they didn't bring him back
[4:51] Speaker 3: for fifty.
[4:53] Speaker 1: I guess Savannah and Rizgod are that good. We'll see.
[4:55] Speaker 1: So I was thinking like, when asked something like that,
[4:58] Speaker 1: he was gonna say kind of the same thing that
[5:00] Speaker 1: we said about you know, crazy how it all worked out.
[5:03] Speaker 1: He still got to be there for the kid, and
[5:06] Speaker 1: then instead it was just like unfinished business man, I
[5:09] Speaker 1: got I gotta get back out there. He actually he
[5:11] Speaker 1: did post a graphic. It was like an AI graphic
[5:14] Speaker 1: that said unfinished businesses and yeah, so that that was
[5:20] Speaker 1: pretty rough. And then I see some some pretty good
[5:23] Speaker 1: art is by somebody named Reality Paints, and it was
[5:26] Speaker 1: a sketch of him looking off with the also had
[5:30] Speaker 1: like the snake on his shoulder, and it really had
[5:33] Speaker 1: the same energy as that the picture that I sent
[5:36] Speaker 1: you of the wolf looking into the distance of the
[5:38] Speaker 1: kind of like alpha male reaction image. So he had
[5:43] Speaker 1: big wolf energy. What was your response to his response?
[5:50] Speaker 3: I couldn't focus on I could really focus on his
[5:54] Speaker 3: response because the second after he posted his response, he
[6:00] Speaker 3: went on a generational, unhinged Instagram Run dude, I don't
[6:05] Speaker 3: know if you've been keeping an eye on his posts. Dude,
[6:08] Speaker 3: we get we get a picture, We get a picture.
[6:13] Speaker 3: We get a picture of him getting botox. What for?
[6:18] Speaker 3: He says, really enjoyed my first botox experience in Kansas
[6:21] Speaker 3: ha ha ashtag botox. Then he immediately starts promoting his
[6:26] Speaker 3: DJ business.
[6:28] Speaker 1: WHOA, I didn't even know that was part of the equation.
[6:30] Speaker 1: He never mentioned DJing.
[6:33] Speaker 3: He posts several posts promoting his DJ business. He shows,
[6:39] Speaker 3: he promotes a commercial he did for a local business.
[6:44] Speaker 3: Then he's getting on there today and he's got an
[6:48] Speaker 3: AI picture of him with the snake around him, just
[6:55] Speaker 3: to turn around and post another video of him djaying
[6:59] Speaker 3: and said, yo for DJ.
[7:01] Speaker 1: Inquiries, message me for bookings. Come on, guys, if you
[7:05] Speaker 1: want Jake Latimer at your wedding.
[7:07] Speaker 3: I mean, what an unhinged Then he changed his Instagram
[7:11] Speaker 3: bio to seecrepe fan. WHOA what an unhinged guy? I
[7:17] Speaker 3: love it.
[7:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm looking at his page right now, and after
[7:22] Speaker 1: seeing him as AI so many times, I just kind
[7:25] Speaker 1: of think of like every picture feels AI to me.
[7:28] Speaker 1: He's like an AI person. Now in the boatox picture
[7:32] Speaker 1: that you pointed out, I'm looking at this now. I
[7:35] Speaker 1: didn't realize you get that much blood from botox.
[7:37] Speaker 3: Well I thought. At first, I was like, oh, this
[7:40] Speaker 3: is a silly joke. This is just him getting the
[7:42] Speaker 3: medical after the snake bite. But then I was like,
[7:44] Speaker 3: he got bit on the foot.
[7:48] Speaker 1: Okay, this is what he said to EW. I have
[7:52] Speaker 1: unfinished business out there, and it was a tough way
[7:54] Speaker 1: to go. But at the end of the day, I
[7:56] Speaker 1: respect their decision. I think about it every single day.
[7:59] Speaker 1: I dream about it every single night. I'm ready to
[8:01] Speaker 1: go back. I want it, I need it, and I
[8:03] Speaker 1: really hope they give me another chance.
[8:06] Speaker 3: I mean good, Yeah, I'm cool to see him come back.
[8:09] Speaker 3: I love returning players, and I love returning players that
[8:12] Speaker 3: have something to prove, you know, because one of two
[8:15] Speaker 3: things can happen. One he comes back and wins the game,
[8:19] Speaker 3: which is gonna be like whoa, or even better, he
[8:22] Speaker 3: comes back and gets bit by another snake man.
[8:29] Speaker 1: But what I was thinking through all these posts is
[8:32] Speaker 1: talk about the baby like, yeah, are we not going
[8:35] Speaker 1: to mention that well, and then shout out to to
[8:39] Speaker 1: uh our friend nerd tame them. We did actually just
[8:42] Speaker 1: officially become TikTok friends with Nerdtainment.

[8:46] Speaker 1: She didn't even ask, he just brought it up. So
[8:49] Speaker 1: let me let me play this. And this actually kind
[8:52] Speaker 1: of redeems him from from what I was upset about,
[8:55] Speaker 1: which was like, hey, maybe at some point mentioned that
[8:59] Speaker 1: it was cool the baby thing, and not just like please,
[9:02] Speaker 1: mister Probes, I want it, I need it. Take me back.
[9:05] Speaker 1: So let's let's hear from nerd Table and Jake.
[9:10] Speaker 3: I was support he was born forty Oh my gosh.
[9:13] Speaker 3: I mean things happen for a reason.
[9:15] Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, yeah, that was I think God had a plan.
[9:20] Speaker 2: And it's crazy as it is to not die from
[9:23] Speaker 2: a venomous snake bite that's ten times for venomous on
[9:26] Speaker 2: the rittle snake, and to get home for my kid's
[9:28] Speaker 2: birth and still get the play Survivor, Like come on, Like,
[9:31] Speaker 2: I mean, I.
[9:32] Speaker 3: Didn't win a million bucks. Like do I have unfinished
[9:35] Speaker 3: business out there? I absolutely do.
[9:38] Speaker 2: But at the same time, they were taking care of
[9:40] Speaker 2: my health and my safety, and I respect them for that.
[9:43] Speaker 2: I think CBS, I think the medical team, Jeff copes
[9:46] Speaker 2: and yeah, let.
[9:47] Speaker 3: Me tell you something a little bit gent.
[9:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, so I love CBS. I appreciate CBS. But he
[9:52] Speaker 1: he did. He said everything I wanted him to say
[9:55] Speaker 1: right there, so I can't. I got to put the
[9:57] Speaker 1: pitchforks away.
[9:58] Speaker 3: Yeah, and I mean, uh, he shared a video. I
[10:02] Speaker 3: know we're talking about Jake a lot, but this is
[10:04] Speaker 3: our show. We could do whatever we want. Uh. He
[10:06] Speaker 3: shared a video on Instagram of like he was at
[10:08] Speaker 3: a watch party for that episode, and he was with
[10:11] Speaker 3: Joe and Kevin, who was also metavact. He didn't get metavac.
[10:16] Speaker 3: He just hurt his shoulder, right.
[10:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, he uh, he hurt his shoulder really bad and
[10:21] Speaker 1: then got voted out. I think I don't think it
[10:24] Speaker 1: was a Yeah, I don't think he didn't get removed.
[10:28] Speaker 3: But yeah, so they're they're all around him and Jake
[10:31] Speaker 3: and they're and they're watching the moment that he gets medavacked,
[10:35] Speaker 3: and it's like Jake's face is just completely blank. He's
[10:39] Speaker 3: just like staring at the screen and everyone's trying to
[10:42] Speaker 3: like comfort him around him, and uh. Part of me
[10:46] Speaker 3: was like, dang, Like what a what a cool thing
[10:49] Speaker 3: to like be on Survivor and then become a part
[10:52] Speaker 3: of this community of former players. And then another part
[10:55] Speaker 3: of me was like how performative.
[11:00] Speaker 1: I did hear him talk about that experience at the
[11:03] Speaker 1: watch party and he said that it was just really
[11:05] Speaker 1: emotional to watch back. Yeah, he was talking about how
[11:09] Speaker 1: he just assumed he was dead.
[11:11] Speaker 3: I mean it's gotta be terrifying.
[11:13] Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's why I think to some people watching
[11:15] Speaker 1: it and being like, oh whatever, it was just a
[11:17] Speaker 1: dry bike. Good over it, Like he doesn't know nobody
[11:20] Speaker 1: even no one knows that how many of us knew
[11:22] Speaker 1: that a dry bite even existed before last week. I mean,
[11:27] Speaker 1: if you work in a zoom maybe yeah.
[11:29] Speaker 3: Well, because like the whole thing is is like he
[11:32] Speaker 3: got bit. He tried to stay calm at first. He
[11:35] Speaker 3: was like, hey, guys, check this out. I got bit.
[11:38] Speaker 3: And then everyone is like, this is the most venomous snake.
[11:42] Speaker 3: This is a very big deal. I mean, you hear
[11:44] Speaker 3: people yelling as you're on the boat. Is he breathing?
[11:48] Speaker 3: You know what I mean? So immediately I would be
[11:51] Speaker 3: panicking like, oh God, is this it? Am I gonna
[11:57] Speaker 3: be the first person to die on survive.
[12:01] Speaker 1: I mean, what a record to have, though.
[12:03] Speaker 3: I mean, I mean, you'd go down in the books. Brother,
[12:09] Speaker 3: you'd be you'd be a fan favorite for the rest
[12:11] Speaker 3: of your lie.
[12:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not gonna cast us now because they know
[12:15] Speaker 1: that we're gonna be trying to die out there for
[12:17] Speaker 1: the for the clout.
[12:20] Speaker 3: I'm just I'm chasing down secret snakes.
[12:23] Speaker 1: I'm like, come on, Speaking of trying to die for
[12:27] Speaker 1: the clout, remember that guy in the first season of
[12:30] Speaker 1: the Draft that we did. His name was Matt and
[12:32] Speaker 1: he just decided to climb up a giant rock for
[12:35] Speaker 1: no reason, and he screwed up his arm so bad
[12:38] Speaker 1: that he got metavacked. I was just thinking about that
[12:41] Speaker 1: the other day randomly, like that was the dumbest metavact
[12:44] Speaker 1: I mean, And sorry Matt if I doubt he's listening
[12:47] Speaker 1: to this, but that was like the stupidest reason I've
[12:51] Speaker 1: ever seen somebody get metavacked, just because he's like, you
[12:54] Speaker 1: know what I can I can do anything. I can
[12:55] Speaker 1: do hard stuff. I'm gonna climb up there, and then
[12:58] Speaker 1: he falls and has the lead of the game.
[13:00] Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the season Kinsey won, right, No, that was.
[13:05] Speaker 1: That was two seasons later, the NZI won Kenz won
[13:09] Speaker 1: forty four is when we got that guy.
[13:10] Speaker 3: I think, wow, that was a long time ago, man. I.
[13:15] Speaker 3: Metavacts are always either extremely disappointing because it's someone that
[13:22] Speaker 3: you wanted to watch play the game further, or they
[13:25] Speaker 3: can make for great TV. I think this is one
[13:27] Speaker 3: of those times where it was probably and I've been
[13:31] Speaker 3: seeing I haven't seen people thinking that it was fake,
[13:34] Speaker 3: but I haven't seen a lot of people kind of
[13:36] Speaker 3: clowning it and that they think the show was over dramatic.
[13:40] Speaker 3: I think it's got to be one of the most
[13:43] Speaker 3: terrifying things that's happened on Survivor the fact that it's
[13:47] Speaker 3: ten times more venomous than a rattlesnake means that this
[13:50] Speaker 3: is not an over exaggeration by any means.
[13:53] Speaker 1: And he just got really lucky. And I also heard
[13:56] Speaker 1: that some people were criticizing the show for not letting
[13:59] Speaker 1: him play again.
[14:00] Speaker 3: Yeah, but I think Jonathan nailed it in our main
[14:05] Speaker 3: episode last week when he said he was probably so
[14:09] Speaker 3: pumped with medicine and different drugs and stuff that they
[14:12] Speaker 3: probably just couldn't put him back in the elements. They
[14:15] Speaker 3: had to keep him under because they assumed it was
[14:19] Speaker 3: a dry bite. They were doing the test of it,
[14:21] Speaker 3: but they you can't know for sure, I would imagine
[14:25] Speaker 3: unless you go to an actual hospital where you can
[14:28] Speaker 3: be monitored properly.
[14:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, And I also I was reading some people pushing
[14:33] Speaker 1: back and being like, a dry bite can still get infected.
[14:37] Speaker 1: Oh and then sometimes you don't know until like a
[14:41] Speaker 1: couple hours or a few hours after the fact whether
[14:44] Speaker 1: it's a dry bite or not.
[14:45] Speaker 3: So yeah, and there's also another side of it, which
[14:49] Speaker 3: you know, I don't think, uh, I don't think is
[14:52] Speaker 3: the reason. But there's also the thing of like, you know,
[14:55] Speaker 3: they're pumping this guy full of fluids. They probably had
[14:58] Speaker 3: to put something on his stomach he's eating. It probably
[15:01] Speaker 3: wouldn't be fair to the other castaways if he got
[15:03] Speaker 3: to go back in the game full strength, you know.
[15:08] Speaker 1: And I think the main concern of the doctors were, like,
[15:11] Speaker 1: we don't know how his body is gonna respond and
[15:14] Speaker 1: these kind of elements after going through that kind of experience,
[15:17] Speaker 1: so try I think, Yeah, not to be the survivor apologist,
[15:22] Speaker 1: we're carrying Jeff's water, but that is what we're gonna
[15:24] Speaker 1: do here. I think Jeff in Company made the right decision.
[15:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I think, And they'll bring him back. I'm
[15:32] Speaker 3: surprised they didn't bring him back for fifty because they
[15:34] Speaker 3: love a story, so you know, what better story than
[15:39] Speaker 3: him coming back. But something tells me that they might
[15:42] Speaker 3: do a second Chance season or maybe even a New
[15:46] Speaker 3: Era All Stars season in the in the near future.
[15:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I would love to see a New
[15:52] Speaker 1: Era All Stars put Jake on there and then he
[15:56] Speaker 1: can form an alliance with our buddy Saul. Yes, I
[16:01] Speaker 1: want to see Saul and Jake together in a non
[16:04] Speaker 1: sexual way.
[16:07] Speaker 3: It's also incredible that all these seasons. Later, we get
[16:12] Speaker 3: a repeat of the season one quote from Rudy of
[16:16] Speaker 3: the not in a Homosexual.
[16:20] Speaker 1: And I doubt Jake even knows where that was from Originally.
[16:23] Speaker 1: I bet he thought he was the first one to
[16:24] Speaker 1: say something like that.
[16:26] Speaker 3: Gosh, man, that's so funny. But yeah, I mean, you know,
[16:30] Speaker 3: we joke around a lot. This is the sanctuary where
[16:32] Speaker 3: we kind of we're not playing our our hyped up,
[16:35] Speaker 3: exaggerated characters as much. Yeah, I mean, I think that
[16:40] Speaker 3: was a super scary moment, super traumatic moment for him.
[16:43] Speaker 3: I am gonna make fun of his Instagram posts. It's wild,
[16:48] Speaker 3: but I am super glad that he's okay, and I
[16:50] Speaker 3: do hope he comes back.
