[0:01] Speaker 1: Jonathan Jonathan's I'm the only host.
[0:21] Speaker 2: That's right, I'm the only host of the Making That
[0:24] Speaker 2: Marriage podcast today, and by today I mean on the
[0:29] Speaker 2: sanctuary where good pods happen. And let me tell you,
[0:33] Speaker 2: this is a good pod because all the other dead
[0:36] Speaker 2: weight is gone. Your boy is the only one, the
[0:40] Speaker 2: only one, the only chicken in the roost. I don't
[0:44] Speaker 2: know why I immediately defaulted to a Trump impression at
[0:48] Speaker 2: the beginning of this podcast, but it is just what
[0:52] Speaker 2: happened in a non sexual way.
[0:56] Speaker 3: You know.
[0:57] Speaker 2: I'm look, guys, I miss the episode. I didn't get
[1:01] Speaker 2: to talk to the boys about it, and I didn't
[1:04] Speaker 2: even watch this episode until three days later. And it
[1:11] Speaker 2: was kind of a banger episode. And are people still
[1:16] Speaker 2: saying banger Maybe maybe not, but I'm gonna say it today.
[1:20] Speaker 2: I'm gonna banger in a non sexual that actually didn't
[1:25] Speaker 2: work how I hoped it would. Anyway, I am excited
[1:29] Speaker 2: to talk to you about the episode because I truly
[1:31] Speaker 2: think that it's like the best episode this season, probably
[1:36] Speaker 2: one of my favorites, and one of my favorites because
[1:39] Speaker 2: I didn't have somebody go home and my plan thought
[1:43] Speaker 2: is going exactly how I thought it would, and your
[1:47] Speaker 2: boys still got his players, the family, the Familia, the Cult,
[1:53] Speaker 2: the Steelers, however you want to call us. We are
[1:57] Speaker 2: feeling so good right now over in Patreon, and there's
[2:02] Speaker 2: no reason for us to even be upset. I mean,
[2:05] Speaker 2: we're watching Juwan and Sage have a great time and
[2:08] Speaker 2: everybody else is having a bad time. And I want
[2:11] Speaker 2: people having a bad time that aren't on my team.
[2:14] Speaker 2: That's right, I'm not hiding it. I want everyone to
[2:16] Speaker 2: have a bad time. And let's just get into this.
[2:21] Speaker 2: Let's talk about the immunity challenge is everybody's favorite part
[2:24] Speaker 2: of the episode, specifically this episode, because it's not Chase.
[2:29] Speaker 2: You know, who wants a guy with a losing team
[2:33] Speaker 2: to talk about tribal and talk about challenges. Anyway, So
[2:38] Speaker 2: these ten remaining players, they were divided into two groups
[2:43] Speaker 2: and five for like this endurance challenge. You know, we're
[2:50] Speaker 2: on a team and the other five we're on a team. Chase,
[2:53] Speaker 2: you do such a good job. Now that I think
[2:55] Speaker 2: about it, I'm having the hardest time explaining this. Let's
[2:57] Speaker 2: start that over. There's two teams. They're divided into these groups,
[3:02] Speaker 2: and those groups have the opportunity for entire group immunity,
[3:07] Speaker 2: which is crazy. There was no immunity necklace up for
[3:11] Speaker 2: grabs and so these they did the classic survivor putting
[3:15] Speaker 2: their feet, getting a lot of footshots in the camera.
[3:19] Speaker 2: I was feeling a little bit uncomfortable. I'm not quite
[3:23] Speaker 2: a Quentin Tarantino guy. So we were just watching people's
[3:26] Speaker 2: feet on the camera, and they're standing on these little
[3:29] Speaker 2: ledges and people are shaking. They're shaking quite a bit,
[3:33] Speaker 2: they're about to fall off their little ledge, and I
[3:37] Speaker 2: really struggled watching Sophie. Sophie was very angry and very
[3:45] Speaker 2: like upset looking the whole time. And then meanwhile we
[3:49] Speaker 2: look and Savannah is just chilling. And I can't remember
[3:56] Speaker 2: if this was before after the fact that we got
[4:00] Speaker 2: kind of Savannah's SOB story. Not that sounds like a
[4:04] Speaker 2: negative connotation, but we did. We got a sob story
[4:07] Speaker 2: about her toxic work environment, and I feel like it
[4:11] Speaker 2: was like, oh, like she wants to feel included and
[4:16] Speaker 2: you know, to see her win.
[4:18] Speaker 4: I felt good about it.
[4:19] Speaker 2: I felt good to see Savannah get a win and
[4:22] Speaker 2: an advantage, but her whole team got to be safe.
[4:27] Speaker 2: They didn't even have to go to tribal, so pretty
[4:30] Speaker 2: crazy to see that happen. And then after the challenge,
[4:34] Speaker 2: you know, Sophie's looking pretty mad about this. I'm gonna
[4:37] Speaker 2: be completely real with you. Sophie's one of those players
[4:40] Speaker 2: where if I look at her, I have this moment
[4:41] Speaker 2: where I'm like, do I even remember this Sophie, because
[4:45] Speaker 2: we've been on the Baldy train this whole time, thinking
[4:50] Speaker 2: we've got our Sophie that we like over here on
[4:53] Speaker 2: the Making That Byrage podcast. Anyway, this was a fun
[4:58] Speaker 2: challenge and I liked the fact that there was something
[5:02] Speaker 2: different going on. I like the fact that Jeff Probs
[5:05] Speaker 2: is listening to me complain, specifically me on the podcast
[5:10] Speaker 2: about needing to shake it up, and the other way
[5:13] Speaker 2: that they shook it up that wasn't really shaking it
[5:16] Speaker 2: up as much as it was. It was unshaking it
[5:18] Speaker 2: up because we've got a lot of shaken up beware
[5:21] Speaker 2: advantages and beware idols and all that jazz.
[5:25] Speaker 1: You know.
[5:26] Speaker 2: Anyway, we had a hidden immunity idol and it was
[5:31] Speaker 2: just a standard idol, and I was so happy. I
[5:35] Speaker 2: turned to Kristin and I say, it was a normal idol.
[5:39] Speaker 2: And at that point I thought, Jeff's in my head,
[5:43] Speaker 2: Jeff is hearing our prayers. And I felt okay about
[5:49] Speaker 2: Christina getting that idol. I always wish it was my
[5:52] Speaker 2: players getting idols, but they just don't seem to need them.
[5:57] Speaker 2: So that happens, and all of this, you know, jazz
[6:02] Speaker 2: I keep saying Jazz. I don't know, but maybe maybe
[6:05] Speaker 2: survivors like Jazz anyway, So that happens, and we get
[6:10] Speaker 2: a pretty fun episode where targets are moving around, they're
[6:14] Speaker 2: shifting and changing. We know that Rizzo has an idol
[6:20] Speaker 2: still that he really could have used the last time,
[6:24] Speaker 2: but he kind of bluffed people out, so we knew
[6:27] Speaker 2: he had one sitting there, and everybody knew that he
[6:30] Speaker 2: had one. But then we come to a really interesting advantage. Savannah,
[6:36] Speaker 2: who won that advantage in the challenge, gets the immunity
[6:41] Speaker 2: necklace and she gets to go to those other five
[6:45] Speaker 2: players that are going to tribal and she gets to
[6:50] Speaker 2: just kind of be on the island with them. And
[6:53] Speaker 2: I want to take a moment, and I want to
[6:55] Speaker 2: talk about this just a little bit. This may be
[6:58] Speaker 2: a little controvert, so maybe a little upsetting for something
[7:02] Speaker 2: to hear. But after we got Savannah's story about feeling
[7:07] Speaker 2: left out and feeling secluded and that people didn't like her.
[7:12] Speaker 2: I thought the way that she carried herself with this
[7:16] Speaker 2: immunity and kind of came across a little like sassy.
[7:21] Speaker 2: I don't know, like ha, I've got the idol and
[7:23] Speaker 2: you don't. It felt a little middle school to me,
[7:28] Speaker 2: and you know, maybe maybe that's just the personality her
[7:32] Speaker 2: being excited. I don't know, but it definitely rubbed me
[7:36] Speaker 2: the wrong way, and I think it may have rubbed
[7:40] Speaker 2: other people the wrong way. But we'll see, we'll see.
[7:43] Speaker 2: But she's playing an excellent game. I digress. Y'all don't
[7:47] Speaker 2: even care about what I think, except for those in
[7:49] Speaker 2: my family. But we had a moment where they all
[7:54] Speaker 2: go to tribal and you know, MC's fighting for her
[7:59] Speaker 2: life and Sophie's fighting for her life, and the game
[8:04] Speaker 2: gets kind of sloppy, right because Sophie tells MC, hey,
[8:10] Speaker 2: we're gonna we're gonna vote for Rizzo, but I'm gonna
[8:14] Speaker 2: throw one vote on Juan. And I hated hearing that
[8:19] Speaker 2: because I thought this episode has already been so interesting.
[8:23] Speaker 2: Last thing I need is precious Juwan, you know, yo.
[8:26] Speaker 3: Joan, I du the only Joan I need. H So, yeah,
[8:36] Speaker 3: that happens, and MC immediately goes and tells Juwan and
[8:41] Speaker 3: I hear this happen, and I'm thinking, oh, you know,
[8:45] Speaker 3: they're gonna turn on Sophie, and Sophie's gonna go home.
[8:49] Speaker 2: Who is seeming a little bit grumpy. She's got a
[8:52] Speaker 2: little bit of a grump attitude happening, and uh, things
[8:56] Speaker 2: got weird and suddenly it was MC going home and
[8:59] Speaker 2: that really started to surprise me. And so they get
[9:03] Speaker 2: to tribal and Sophie gives a pretty good argument, you know,
[9:07] Speaker 2: really pleading her case, and MC suddenly looks at Jawanna
[9:11] Speaker 2: and says, I gotta talk to you. And then the
[9:14] Speaker 2: whispering starts. Oh the whispering. When the whispers start, then
[9:20] Speaker 2: we know chaos ensues. Recipes Jeremy, Anyway, we see this happen,
[9:35] Speaker 2: and even all the whispering goes down, and MC goes
[9:40] Speaker 2: home and Rizzo keeps his idol again the r izzg
[9:45] Speaker 2: O D baby. He goes with his idol back to camp.
[9:50] Speaker 2: Mc leaves. Also another shocking thing. Wasn't expecting Nate to
[9:56] Speaker 2: I just forgot that the jury was happening. So then
[9:58] Speaker 2: when Nate walked in, I was like, who the he
[10:00] Speaker 2: is that? And uh, it was just Nate, clean shaven
[10:04] Speaker 2: and looking a little more like a Marvel CEO producer potentially.
[10:09] Speaker 2: So you know, guys, I just wanted to say I
[10:13] Speaker 2: did enjoy this episode. I'm sure the fellas did a
[10:17] Speaker 2: great job recapping it and you know, saying what they
[10:20] Speaker 2: say in some form or fashion. But I knew that
[10:25] Speaker 2: y'all really wanted my input because it's clear that I'm
[10:29] Speaker 2: the strategist, and in the words of George W. Bush,
[10:35] Speaker 2: I'm really good at strategicy and I like to make
[10:38] Speaker 2: sure that people know it. Y'all haven't even seen the
[10:42] Speaker 2: full extent of the plan thought, by the way you
[10:44] Speaker 2: think you have. But does the plan thought ever truly
[10:49] Speaker 2: go away and end? I guess you'll have to wait
[10:52] Speaker 2: until the end of the season to find out.
[10:56] Speaker 1: What is it?
[10:56] Speaker 2: What else is going on with me? He might be wondering, Jonathan,
[11:00] Speaker 2: what else is this happening in your life? When are
[11:02] Speaker 2: you dropping a new parody song? I'm so glad that
[11:05] Speaker 2: y'all wanted to know that I've really got some parody
[11:09] Speaker 2: songs in the back of my head. But I just
[11:13] Speaker 2: haven't dropped one. I haven't had the inspiration. I need
[11:17] Speaker 2: the right time. I need the stars to align for
[11:21] Speaker 2: me to sit down and write absolute fire. Have you
[11:25] Speaker 2: seen that gift for Jeff? I don't want to divide
[11:28] Speaker 2: the people here, but the gift for Jeff with the
[11:31] Speaker 2: pen and the fire on the paper, that's me when
[11:35] Speaker 2: I write, that's me when I write a parody. When
[11:38] Speaker 2: I did Big Bro Club, my entire table caught on fire.
[11:42] Speaker 2: I had to move after I wrote the American Pie
[11:44] Speaker 2: parody because my whole house burned down just from how
[11:47] Speaker 2: much fire I was putting out. What else do I
[11:51] Speaker 2: want to say? Well, the parents are away.
[11:55] Speaker 4: You know.
[11:55] Speaker 2: They give me such a difficult time, and they give
[11:57] Speaker 2: me such a hard time. And I heard that even
[12:01] Speaker 2: last year, the last season, people understood that I was
[12:06] Speaker 2: the punching bag. And I would like to say that
[12:08] Speaker 2: I've turned this around. I've turned this whole scenario into
[12:13] Speaker 2: my own plan, my own plant thought. And people are
[12:17] Speaker 2: gonna regret. They're gonna regret the way they treated me.
[12:21] Speaker 2: When I take home the victory and me and my
[12:24] Speaker 2: cult take over the Patreon chat. That's right, We're coming
[12:28] Speaker 2: for you. It's our house now, So rise up patrons
[12:33] Speaker 2: that are on the Steelers and understand that our victory
[12:38] Speaker 2: is nigh.
[12:41] Speaker 4: Uh in a non sexual way.
[12:45] Speaker 2: I wanted to drop the Jeremy laughing. I actually did
[12:48] Speaker 2: click the wrong one. This is not how we do things.
[12:50] Speaker 4: Here on Hello, I'm making baby.
[12:54] Speaker 2: Anyway, I'm not gonna keep sound dropping guys. Thanks for listening,
[12:57] Speaker 2: Thanks for missing me. I know that you cried lot
[13:00] Speaker 2: you boohooed. Thanks for listening to me talk to myself
[13:05] Speaker 2: into a recording and knowing that I would deliver. So anyway,
[13:13] Speaker 2: why don't we end it with just I mean, maybe
[13:16] Speaker 2: a little bit of another clip of Mary sings to Jonathan's.
[13:27] Speaker 5: Cut them music, Cut them music. As much as I
[13:31] Speaker 5: love Mary, we're gonna have to cut the music.
[13:34] Speaker 1: Look, this is PD.
[13:36] Speaker 5: I can tell you one thing that wasn't in Jonathan's plan.
[13:40] Speaker 5: Thought he had this plan to go rogue and do
[13:43] Speaker 5: his own sanctuary for his cult.
[13:44] Speaker 1: Members, I guess.
[13:45] Speaker 5: And did he forget the fact that I edit these
[13:49] Speaker 5: and I upload these like did he not think I
[13:51] Speaker 5: was going to put some.
[13:52] Speaker 1: Sort of response in here?
[13:54] Speaker 5: Did he really think he was going to get away
[13:57] Speaker 5: with completely taking over the sanctuary, or maybe this whole
[14:02] Speaker 5: thing was to bait me into a response and it's
[14:05] Speaker 5: all part of the plan.
[14:06] Speaker 4: Thought.
[14:06] Speaker 5: You know, I don't know what's real anymore, but what
[14:10] Speaker 5: I do know is it's baffling to me, completely baffling
[14:15] Speaker 5: that Jonathan can have terrible draft performance after terrible draft performance,
[14:21] Speaker 5: and then he sucks so bad that he got his
[14:24] Speaker 5: wife to let him on her team out of pity,
[14:27] Speaker 5: and then he floated to a championship. To put it
[14:30] Speaker 5: in football terms, Kristen is Patrick Mahomes and Jonathan is
[14:35] Speaker 5: Juju Smith Schuster. I love Juju, you know, Pittsburgh boy,
[14:39] Speaker 5: or at least he was for his rookie contract. I'm
[14:42] Speaker 5: a big fan of Juju. But Juju has a ring
[14:45] Speaker 5: because of Patrick. Jonathan has a ring because of Kristen.
[14:50] Speaker 5: It's not the other way around. And for some reason
[14:54] Speaker 5: that is just beyond me. There is a section of
[14:57] Speaker 5: our listeners that saw him do terrible in the draft
[15:00] Speaker 5: on his own, hide behind his wife, and then he's like, hey, guys,
[15:05] Speaker 5: here's my master plan, and it's dice, and then he
[15:09] Speaker 5: keeps talking about Charles Manson and then you know, cut
[15:12] Speaker 5: to now and he's formed some kind of Dice cult,
[15:16] Speaker 5: and I'm just like, come on, what are we doing here?
[15:19] Speaker 5: Why are our listeners on a sinking ship? Like if
[15:23] Speaker 5: they relaunched the Titanic and they called it the Titanic
[15:27] Speaker 5: with Dice, would you get on it. I'm just I'm
[15:31] Speaker 5: putting a call out to the family, as as he
[15:35] Speaker 5: calls them and as they call themselves, wake up, guys,
[15:39] Speaker 5: wake up and join my team. The journeys, I mean,
[15:42] Speaker 5: the official lock ins are over, but you can come
[15:44] Speaker 5: join me in spirit. Okay, We've got Baldy, We've got Rizzo.
[15:49] Speaker 5: I think we have a decent shot at winning this thing.
[15:53] Speaker 5: And you know, the other reason that I'm on here
[15:55] Speaker 5: is we do the Sanctuary every week and it's at
[15:59] Speaker 5: least half hour long, typically forty minutes to an hour
[16:03] Speaker 5: most of the time. And then Jonathan, who has been
[16:07] Speaker 5: on numerous sanctuaries, okay, I mean I feel like he
[16:13] Speaker 5: should know this. Although I'm always the one who's responsible for, like,
[16:18] Speaker 5: you know, gathering all the things that we talk about
[16:21] Speaker 5: or the segments we're gonna do, or booking the guests.
[16:24] Speaker 5: I figured that he'd have a feel for it, you know,
[16:28] Speaker 5: after being on all the shows that I've put together,
[16:32] Speaker 5: but no, he got on here and he was like,
[16:34] Speaker 5: you get thirteen minutes and and he's like, you know
[16:38] Speaker 5: that's enough. I'm here to make sure you guys get
[16:40] Speaker 5: your money's worth, even though this is a free show.
[16:44] Speaker 5: And I didn't just come on here to roast Jonathan
[16:46] Speaker 5: and say PD out either, Like if Jonathan is doing
[16:50] Speaker 5: the Rogue Jonathan Show, then I'm taking over and this
[16:54] Speaker 5: is now the PD Show. And while I'm at it,
[16:57] Speaker 5: you know, with roasting Jonathan, I want to redirect my
[17:00] Speaker 5: attention to another host of this podcast, a host with
[17:05] Speaker 5: a substantial YouTube following, and that really narrows it down
[17:10] Speaker 5: to one person, and that is Chase Bridges. And you know,
[17:14] Speaker 5: I've been on Chase's channel a couple times recently. I
[17:17] Speaker 5: did a video with him about SpongeBob or True Crime,
[17:20] Speaker 5: also one where we were trying to guess clue Jonathan
[17:24] Speaker 5: and Bramer on that one with me. I had a
[17:26] Speaker 5: blast being on Chase's channel, So, you know, go subscribe
[17:29] Speaker 5: to Chase. But now that I've said something nice about Chase,
[17:33] Speaker 5: I'm going to reveal something here. Chase's catchphrase is a lie.
[17:38] Speaker 5: He says, it's everybody's favorite part of the episode the
[17:42] Speaker 5: reward challenge or the immunity challenge.
[17:44] Speaker 1: First off, they can't both.
[17:46] Speaker 5: Be the favorite, so he's got to decide which one
[17:48] Speaker 5: is actually the favorite. Here's the other crucial reason why
[17:52] Speaker 5: it's a lie to say it's everybody's favorite part of
[17:54] Speaker 5: the episode. It's not my favorite part of the episode.
[17:59] Speaker 5: I mean, the challenge is are one of my favorite
[18:01] Speaker 5: parts because I love the sport element. I do consider
[18:04] Speaker 5: Survivor as a whole to be a sport. But my
[18:08] Speaker 5: favorite part isn't tribal. I think that would be like
[18:11] Speaker 5: the next guest severely, if you don't like the challenges
[18:14] Speaker 5: the most, then you probably like tribal the most. It's
[18:16] Speaker 5: not tribal either, even though tribal is where my heart
[18:19] Speaker 5: rate gets up. It's where I'm praying that I don't
[18:21] Speaker 5: lose any of my players. But my favorite part of
[18:24] Speaker 5: the episode is when we get the pre tribal scramble
[18:28] Speaker 5: where we get to hear the plans and see who
[18:30] Speaker 5: the targets are and trying to figure out is this
[18:33] Speaker 5: really the plan or is this just the edit trying
[18:36] Speaker 5: to make me think that's the plan. So Chase, I'm
[18:40] Speaker 5: sorry to poke a hole in your catchphrase.
[18:43] Speaker 1: But I had to do it.
[18:44] Speaker 5: And now that I've gone after Jonathan and Chase, maybe
[18:46] Speaker 5: I'll go after brand too. You never know, let's keep
[18:50] Speaker 5: it rolling.
[18:50] Speaker 1: We'll see.
[18:51] Speaker 5: But this is the PD Show, and I have things
[18:54] Speaker 5: that I want to bring up. I would say I'm
[18:57] Speaker 5: a little more plugged into the disc than Jonathan. I
[19:02] Speaker 5: do know that Jonathan gave groundbreaking analysis, like Sigrette is
[19:06] Speaker 5: a grump and Savannah gives middle school vibes and to
[19:10] Speaker 5: compliment Chase. Hearing Jonathan try to describe that challenge, it
[19:14] Speaker 5: made me feel like I definitely made the right decision
[19:17] Speaker 5: in letting Chase guide us through the challenge portion. But yes,
[19:21] Speaker 5: I have things I want to talk about because I've
[19:24] Speaker 5: been thinking also, it is pretty funny now that I
[19:27] Speaker 5: made a huge deal about how I couldn't crack the
[19:29] Speaker 5: code of Savannah and Rizzo, and I've been thanking so much,
[19:33] Speaker 5: and if I had just watched the preview and saw
[19:35] Speaker 5: the split tribal thing, I would have been like, oh, yes,
[19:37] Speaker 5: there's the answer to that. But I do really want
[19:40] Speaker 5: to talk about Savannah. She's really been the talk of
[19:42] Speaker 5: the survivor town these days, and you guys know, I
[19:45] Speaker 5: love drama. There's a new Survivor podcast on the market,
[19:48] Speaker 5: and that is Kicking and Screaming with Carolyn and Yam Yam.
[19:53] Speaker 5: No Carson's allowed, I guess. But they had on the
[19:56] Speaker 5: legend Sandra and they went after Savannah. They said, uh,
[20:01] Speaker 5: you know what, Actually, I'm just gonna act it out.
[20:04] Speaker 5: I'm gonna do the voices of Carolyn and Yam Yam. Okay, first,
[20:09] Speaker 5: I'm gonna do Yam Yam. And he only said one
[20:11] Speaker 5: thing in this clip, but I love Yamm's voice so much,
[20:14] Speaker 5: like nobody talks like Yam Yam. But he said, nobody
[20:18] Speaker 5: wants to play with an asshole. And then Carolyn, you
[20:21] Speaker 5: know another very unique voice. She said, it's one of
[20:25] Speaker 5: those things where you're literally talking shit about all these people.
[20:30] Speaker 5: This person bugs you. Juwan can't even literally breathe in
[20:35] Speaker 5: your presence without that pissing you off. So now Juwan
[20:40] Speaker 5: found his groove. He has this little group and they
[20:42] Speaker 5: made shit happen. You're wondering why people aren't talking to
[20:46] Speaker 5: you as you're talking shit about them and their confessionals.
[20:50] Speaker 5: I'm not feeling bad for you. I think I do
[20:53] Speaker 5: a pretty good Carolyn, and then Savannah the hot Grim
[20:58] Speaker 5: Reaper herself appeared in the comments, and I don't know,
[21:02] Speaker 5: I can't really do a Savannah impression, like Carolyn is
[21:06] Speaker 5: such a distinct voice.
[21:07] Speaker 1: Savannah just talks.
[21:08] Speaker 5: Like a normal girl. But she said, I am so
[21:12] Speaker 5: disappointed in this take. The confessional interviews are forty minutes
[21:16] Speaker 5: and for me a time to vent about things that
[21:19] Speaker 5: were frustrating me in the game. For all the negative
[21:21] Speaker 5: things that were said, there were more positive ones that
[21:24] Speaker 5: don't make good TV or fit a narrative. I don't
[21:27] Speaker 5: think I'm superior to anyone, and I apologize if I
[21:30] Speaker 5: do not always come across as being happy and sweet
[21:33] Speaker 5: when my guard is down and I'm exhausted. Regardless, really
[21:37] Speaker 5: surprised to hear this take from former players who know
[21:40] Speaker 5: how the show is edited. And then Carolyn responds to this.
[21:45] Speaker 5: She says, girl, I'm aware of how confessionals work.
[21:49] Speaker 1: Truly.
[21:50] Speaker 5: I can't imagine if I were to respond to every
[21:52] Speaker 5: comment of someone who called me a crackhead or said
[21:55] Speaker 5: my brain was fried from drugs. I need a game
[21:59] Speaker 5: related man, that wasn't personal.
[22:02] Speaker 1: I own what I said. You don't need to defend
[22:05] Speaker 1: yourself to anyone, Okay, and what do I want to
[22:10] Speaker 1: say here?
[22:12] Speaker 5: You know, I guess my response to this first of
[22:16] Speaker 5: all would be like, I think it makes everybody look
[22:20] Speaker 5: bad who's involved.
[22:21] Speaker 1: I love drama.
[22:23] Speaker 5: I think it's fun to talk about, like it gives
[22:25] Speaker 5: me something to talk about on the PD Show today.
[22:28] Speaker 1: But it'd probably be.
[22:30] Speaker 5: Better for everybody involved to just not I mean, for Carolyn,
[22:35] Speaker 5: what she was saying about, like Juwan can't even breathe
[22:39] Speaker 5: around you, Juwan was putting dirty sticks in her bag
[22:45] Speaker 5: of personal belongings. I don't think anybody would like that.
[22:49] Speaker 5: And then also like the emphasis on she's talking shit
[22:53] Speaker 5: in the confessionals, what else are you supposed to do
[22:57] Speaker 5: with those? I mean lay out your plan, yes, But
[23:00] Speaker 5: the whole thing about Survivor is you got ops all
[23:03] Speaker 5: the time. It's like how we talked about like people
[23:06] Speaker 5: hate the kumbay As stuff. Then you get Savannah talking
[23:09] Speaker 5: a little trash and it's like.
[23:10] Speaker 1: Why is she doing that? She's so mean.
[23:13] Speaker 5: It's not mean, it's fun, it's good TV. But we
[23:18] Speaker 5: were really positive in our Savannah takes. I mean, we
[23:23] Speaker 5: titled the last episode a Legend in the making. It's
[23:26] Speaker 5: obvious We're very high on Savannah here at making the merge,
[23:30] Speaker 5: but we got a little bit of pushback on that
[23:33] Speaker 5: in our own community. You know, somebody on our YouTube channel.
[23:36] Speaker 5: Let me read this comment. They said, it's not doing
[23:39] Speaker 5: something different to split the merged tribe into two random
[23:43] Speaker 5: groups when they've done that every single season in the
[23:45] Speaker 5: new era. That is a good point by Ingrid Moran
[23:50] Speaker 5: seven four nine seven. That is a good point because look,
[23:54] Speaker 5: Brand said it. Oh, I guess this is where I
[23:56] Speaker 5: get the rest brand a little bit. Yeah, Brand was wrong.
[23:58] Speaker 5: It's not a new thing. They do it all the time.
[24:02] Speaker 5: But what they did change was the reward and the
[24:06] Speaker 5: mechanics of it. Like last time, Saul had the opportunity,
[24:10] Speaker 5: he was the one who won that challenge, he had
[24:12] Speaker 5: the opportunity to send an advantage to a specific person.
[24:16] Speaker 5: He chose Rachel, and then you know, changed the game
[24:19] Speaker 5: in that way. I thought what they did here was
[24:21] Speaker 5: a lot cooler letting Savannah, you know, be the hot
[24:25] Speaker 5: grim Reaper show up and then impact the vote in
[24:28] Speaker 5: such a way that I think if she had just
[24:31] Speaker 5: randomly sent an advantage, she would have sent it to Rizzo,
[24:35] Speaker 5: things might not have been as interesting so her actually
[24:38] Speaker 5: getting to show up. I think it was a really
[24:41] Speaker 5: fun twist that they added on that. But yeah, it's
[24:44] Speaker 5: not a new thing. But this person said it is
[24:47] Speaker 5: always bad and played out. I'd rather see a vote
[24:49] Speaker 5: with more people in more room for gameplay and conflict,
[24:53] Speaker 5: not to mention how unfair a random draw is. Like
[24:56] Speaker 5: in forty seven, Rachel was totally screwed over by this
[24:59] Speaker 5: twist when she was randomly grouped with. Okay, so they're
[25:02] Speaker 5: bringing up the soul thing that I mentioned. So when
[25:04] Speaker 5: she was randomly grouped with all the Blue tribe, she
[25:07] Speaker 5: was luckily saved by Saul giving her the advantage. But
[25:09] Speaker 5: they didn't even do that this time. There was no
[25:12] Speaker 5: hidden advantage to give somebody. Yeah, but I think what
[25:16] Speaker 5: I was talking about earlier is that they did away
[25:17] Speaker 5: with that twist, and I think they made an even
[25:19] Speaker 5: better one this time. So I don't agree with that
[25:22] Speaker 5: part of it. I do agree with you calling out
[25:24] Speaker 5: Brand for being wrong. Definitely Brands somebody who I feel
[25:28] Speaker 5: like has been spot on with most of what he
[25:31] Speaker 5: said this season. You know, we all have bad takes
[25:36] Speaker 5: here and there. And then we got a comment in
[25:39] Speaker 5: our Patreon from longtime member Mischief Kate. She said, not
[25:44] Speaker 5: that I think everything is about me, but just because
[25:47] Speaker 5: I don't like Savannah, it doesn't mean that a I
[25:50] Speaker 5: complain about everything. I often defend the show. B have
[25:54] Speaker 5: ever complained about the lack of villains. I enjoy conflict,
[25:57] Speaker 5: but I do not enjoy people who are full of
[25:58] Speaker 5: themselves or dislikes. When things work out for Savannah, I
[26:03] Speaker 5: thought the advantage was great.
[26:04] Speaker 1: She earned the win.
[26:05] Speaker 5: I enjoy seeing someone on top toppled and those on
[26:09] Speaker 5: the bottom figure out a way to get on top.
[26:12] Speaker 5: I feel for her and her story. Everyone is a
[26:14] Speaker 5: human and has a story. I just maintained that I
[26:16] Speaker 5: don't have to like everyone. It's more fun for me
[26:19] Speaker 5: to have people to root against. And I'm not a podcaster.
[26:22] Speaker 5: I feel like podcasters usually need to be more objective.
[26:26] Speaker 5: I'm just a fan and a watcher, and I'm gonna
[26:29] Speaker 5: be as biased as I want to be. And yeah,
[26:31] Speaker 5: that's fine. You don't have to agree with our unanimous
[26:37] Speaker 5: love of Savannah on this podcast. That is an interesting
[26:40] Speaker 5: point about us viewing the players differently as podcasters. I
[26:45] Speaker 5: think I definitely ran into that with Shannon, Like everybody
[26:48] Speaker 5: hates Shannon I'm like, no, Shannon gives me bits and
[26:52] Speaker 5: then things to talk about. I don't want Shannon to go.
[26:55] Speaker 5: She also got me in the Survivor bar. Shannon is
[26:57] Speaker 5: a saint. But even if she hadn't gotten me in
[27:00] Speaker 5: the Survivor Bar, I think I would still I'd be
[27:03] Speaker 5: pounding the table for Shannon because she added so much
[27:07] Speaker 5: to the show. And I think Savannah is such a
[27:09] Speaker 5: compelling character. But yeah, that is a fair point by Kate.
[27:13] Speaker 5: I suppose that just because you don't like Savannah doesn't
[27:17] Speaker 5: mean that you can plain about.
[27:19] Speaker 1: Everything in the show. That's true.
[27:20] Speaker 5: Maybe we went a little bit overboard defending Savannah, but
[27:25] Speaker 5: I don't know.
[27:25] Speaker 1: I really like this cast.
[27:27] Speaker 5: I like this season, and a couple of weeks ago,
[27:31] Speaker 5: I was like, you know, I think things are gonna
[27:33] Speaker 5: heat up.
[27:34] Speaker 1: In the past two weeks.
[27:35] Speaker 5: Things have heated up, and I think we're in for
[27:38] Speaker 5: a really fun final stretch of this game. And I honestly,
[27:41] Speaker 5: I would prefer it to be like that, to where
[27:44] Speaker 5: it's like kind of standard up until the merge and
[27:46] Speaker 5: then it takes off.
[27:48] Speaker 1: As opposed to what we got last season.
[27:51] Speaker 5: You know, forty eight one of the greatest pre merges
[27:54] Speaker 5: of the New era, probably my favorite one, the most
[27:57] Speaker 5: entertaining in my opinion, and then it fell.
[28:00] Speaker 1: Off a cliff because it got super predictable.
[28:02] Speaker 5: I think we're getting kind of the opposite of forty
[28:06] Speaker 5: eight this season, and I think it's gonna be a
[28:10] Speaker 5: better I think it's gonna be better overall. I think
[28:13] Speaker 5: it's gonna be a more fun ride for sure. Next,
[28:17] Speaker 5: I would like to talk about a survivor conspiracy theory
[28:21] Speaker 5: that has been making the rounds, and it is about
[28:23] Speaker 5: Yellow Sophie, otherwise known as I Forgot I could do drops, Yeah,
[28:29] Speaker 5: I can. I mean I don't know why I forgot that.
[28:33] Speaker 5: I mean, I'm in control, baby, I don't know where
[28:37] Speaker 5: any of them are. One second, Okay, there's somebody that
[28:40] Speaker 5: I would like to talk about, and her name is
[28:43] Speaker 5: Detective Sogretti.
[28:46] Speaker 4: Detective Sogretti is on the case.
[28:52] Speaker 5: That's right, She's on the case, and redditors are on
[28:56] Speaker 5: her case. There is speculation out there that Yellow Sophie
[29:02] Speaker 5: aka Detective Sigretti aka a grump according to Jonathan, that
[29:07] Speaker 5: she might have pregamed with the two players who got
[29:10] Speaker 5: kicked out and she was only let on because there
[29:13] Speaker 5: wasn't a third alternate. I'm in the reddit comments of
[29:16] Speaker 5: this conspiracy and someone said, there's a lot to this conspiracy.
[29:20] Speaker 5: Supposedly the players were vocally really grateful to production for
[29:24] Speaker 5: kicking out the two cheaters when the game started, but
[29:26] Speaker 5: also vocalized that there was a third cheater. But yeah,
[29:30] Speaker 5: people are really running with this theory because of the
[29:33] Speaker 5: fact that she didn't get much screen time up until
[29:36] Speaker 5: a couple weeks ago, and the only time that we
[29:38] Speaker 5: did hear from her it was about how she didn't
[29:41] Speaker 5: like the rewards. So they were like, Ah, all the
[29:44] Speaker 5: dots connect, and I just want to say that, no,
[29:48] Speaker 5: they don't. Just because she was under edited doesn't mean
[29:51] Speaker 5: that she was a cheater. And also, what are we
[29:54] Speaker 5: basing this off of just a Reddit thread, just a
[29:56] Speaker 5: Reddit thread where they're like, in the reddit thread they
[29:59] Speaker 5: said there's a comment somewhere else where somebody said no comment,
[30:02] Speaker 5: Therefore Sophie is a cheater. I think we need to
[30:06] Speaker 5: be triple sourcing, folks. This is something I get on
[30:09] Speaker 5: to Chase about because Chase is the kind of person
[30:12] Speaker 5: who just falls for misinformation because he'll read like an
[30:15] Speaker 5: AI slot post on Facebook and be like can you
[30:18] Speaker 5: believe what this person said about this? And I'm like, Chase,
[30:20] Speaker 5: did you google it? Can you find two or three
[30:23] Speaker 5: news sources reporting on this? And then be like no,
[30:27] Speaker 5: it was fake? And I'm like, man, he made this
[30:31] Speaker 5: graphic that said multi sourced info sucks that he sends
[30:35] Speaker 5: to me occasionally. But I like to try to be
[30:38] Speaker 5: accurate in my reporting on making the merge. I mean,
[30:43] Speaker 5: as silly as this show might be, I like to
[30:46] Speaker 5: try to be accurate with everything I say. And there's
[30:50] Speaker 5: not enough to this Sophie conspiracy for people to be
[30:53] Speaker 5: going crazy with it. I mean when I say not enough,
[30:56] Speaker 5: there's nothing. There's nothing to it. It's just baseless speculation.
[31:00] Speaker 5: And I really think that she would be out of
[31:03] Speaker 5: the game by now if that was true. I think
[31:05] Speaker 5: if she cheated and everyone on that island knew she cheated,
[31:09] Speaker 5: the disdain for her would be crazy. And you might say, hey,
[31:14] Speaker 5: but it's clearly they don't want to work with her.
[31:15] Speaker 5: They don't like her. I mean, they kept her in
[31:17] Speaker 5: the last vote, and the reason why they were targeting
[31:20] Speaker 5: her is because she's a quote unquote challenge beast, which
[31:23] Speaker 5: I don't even think she is. She was like pretty
[31:26] Speaker 5: good at a couple challenges. I don't think that's going
[31:30] Speaker 5: to translate to every single challenge they do. She's going
[31:32] Speaker 5: to be amazing because the challenge is very so much
[31:36] Speaker 5: that it's not a real concern, I think, And it
[31:39] Speaker 5: was very smart by Rizzo to want to keep her around. Okay,
[31:44] Speaker 5: I think I've done enough rambling to make this a
[31:48] Speaker 5: proper length of a sanctuary. I got to cover some
[31:52] Speaker 5: drama stuff too. I got to do a Carolyn impression.
[31:56] Speaker 5: I got to roast Jonathan. So mission accomplished. I don't
[32:00] Speaker 5: think that there's anything else I want to get to.
[32:03] Speaker 5: Oh wait, I just remember there's one There's one thing
[32:07] Speaker 5: that I've really been wanting to talk about, and that is.
[32:11] Speaker 4: My girl.
[32:13] Speaker 1: Baldy. The one who called into our show.
[32:18] Speaker 5: What's up, guys is Sophie b from season forty nine,
[32:21] Speaker 5: and I was content, Yeah, so Sophie b Baldy, whatever
[32:25] Speaker 5: you want to call her, we all know her real
[32:26] Speaker 5: name is Baldi, so she gosh. I mean, this is
[32:34] Speaker 5: not a spoiler. This is literally in her Instagram bio.
[32:39] Speaker 1: But what I'm reading.
[32:41] Speaker 5: Into it is that it's not good for me ultimately.
[32:46] Speaker 5: So if you go to Sophie Sophie b or Baldi's Instagram.
[32:53] Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull that up right now.
[32:58] Speaker 5: It says Survivor forty nine in her bio, Survivor forty
[33:01] Speaker 5: nine with a palm tree and a blue heart because
[33:04] Speaker 5: she's blue Sophie. And then we got Sophie Bularity at
[33:07] Speaker 5: gmail dot com. I guess for booking inquiries or maybe,
[33:11] Speaker 5: uh like brand deals. I guess you could reach out
[33:13] Speaker 5: to Sophie Blerdi at gmail dot com.
[33:15] Speaker 1: But then this is the thing, this is the thing
[33:20] Speaker 1: that drove me crazy.
[33:23] Speaker 5: She has her Venmo, she has her Venmo, and she
[33:27] Speaker 5: has her fucking cash app, her fucking Vemo and cash app. Guys,
[33:36] Speaker 5: does that scream Survivor winner to you? Does that scream
[33:40] Speaker 5: I just got a million dollars?
[33:41] Speaker 1: I love Baldi. I want Baldi to win so bad.
[33:44] Speaker 5: There's a big contingent of people on the internet who
[33:48] Speaker 5: think that Baldi's gonna win, Like I look at the
[33:51] Speaker 5: I forgot who does these poles every week. But it's
[33:53] Speaker 5: called egic. By the way, I think edgic is a
[33:56] Speaker 5: stupid word. Sounds weird. Egic, Like, I mean, we really
[34:00] Speaker 5: need a word for what we're all trying to do,
[34:02] Speaker 5: which is just.
[34:02] Speaker 1: Trying to figure out the winner.
[34:04] Speaker 5: But yeah, Baldi she always like throughout the whole season.
[34:08] Speaker 5: She's ranked really high in those polls, and it's led
[34:12] Speaker 5: me to believe that maybe we've got a shot.
[34:15] Speaker 1: If all these.
[34:15] Speaker 5: People are seeing it too, we all really like Baldi.
[34:18] Speaker 5: We're behind Baldy, and then all my confidence is taken
[34:24] Speaker 5: away by saying her Venmo and cash app.
[34:26] Speaker 1: That was pretty rough.
[34:29] Speaker 5: Unless this is like a forty chess move from Baldy,
[34:34] Speaker 5: because let's say she is the winner, she is now
[34:36] Speaker 5: just opened up the possibility for everyone to put their
[34:41] Speaker 5: cash app in Venmo.
[34:42] Speaker 1: Because I feel like a lot of people are a
[34:44] Speaker 1: lot of Survivor players.
[34:45] Speaker 5: They would be like me, and they would think not
[34:48] Speaker 5: a good look to put my Venmo in cash app.
[34:50] Speaker 5: Maybe people will think I didn't win, spelling out the
[34:53] Speaker 5: fact that I didn't get a million dollars.
[34:56] Speaker 1: So if Baldy has received a.
[34:59] Speaker 5: Million dollar and is doing this anyway, then opens the floodgates.
[35:03] Speaker 5: Now every single Survivor player will be able to put
[35:06] Speaker 5: their Venmo in cash app and nobody will think anything
[35:09] Speaker 5: of it. Like I used to think that being on
[35:11] Speaker 5: Cameo was a sign that you didn't win Survivor.
[35:14] Speaker 1: And then Rachel was on cameo.
[35:16] Speaker 5: So it just takes somebody coming along and making new rules,
[35:20] Speaker 5: I guess, And maybe that's what Baldi's here to do.
[35:22] Speaker 5: Maybe all the people online, the edgic people, the edgekers,
[35:26] Speaker 5: the edgers, the Edgists.
[35:28] Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know what they like to
[35:30] Speaker 1: be called.
[35:32] Speaker 5: But you know what, maybe those maybe those people know
[35:36] Speaker 5: something and they know that Baldi is going to take
[35:40] Speaker 5: it all the way to the end.
[35:41] Speaker 1: I want to.
[35:41] Speaker 5: Believe so bad, I really want to believe, and I
[35:44] Speaker 5: think maybe this next episode will give us an even
[35:48] Speaker 5: clearer picture of if Baldy can really make it to
[35:51] Speaker 5: the end or not.
[35:52] Speaker 1: But you know they they have beanie babies. I'm a
[35:56] Speaker 1: Baldi baby.
[35:57] Speaker 5: I'm naming that fandom, and you know, so stop being
[36:01] Speaker 5: in Jonathan's cult and become a Baldy baby. All right,
[36:04] Speaker 5: that's it for The Sanctuary and the pd Show. Thanks
[36:09] Speaker 5: for tuning in. This has definitely been the weirdest episode
[36:13] Speaker 5: of The Sanctuary yet. And now it's time for the
[36:16] Speaker 5: beautiful pipes of Mary Jong to play us out.
[36:21] Speaker 4: By listening to meau coo Baby cut the music cut
[36:37] Speaker 4: the music. Guys, this is Chase. If you couldn't already
[36:41] Speaker 4: tell Jonathan went rogue this week, which you know I
[36:47] Speaker 4: expected on his behalf. But then PD decides to go
[36:52] Speaker 4: on a twenty minute rant. That is, PD is supposed
[36:56] Speaker 4: to be the responsible one. Pd' is supposed to be
[36:58] Speaker 4: the one that keeps this show together. And I guess
[37:00] Speaker 4: it's up to Chase to swoop in here at the
[37:03] Speaker 4: end and try to make this a cohesive project, to
[37:07] Speaker 4: try to make this an actual list listenable episode of
[37:10] Speaker 4: The Sanctuary. Now, I know what you're probably saying, Chase.
[37:14] Speaker 4: The audio is feeling wacky right now. What are you
[37:16] Speaker 4: even doing? Well? I'm glad you askeide. I'm in the
[37:19] Speaker 4: parking lot of a Publix right now, and I you know,
[37:25] Speaker 4: full transparency before any of the episodes go up, there
[37:30] Speaker 4: is a short window of time where it is available
[37:33] Speaker 4: to all of us on the make of the merged
[37:34] Speaker 4: podcast the hosts. I was able to catch this really quickly.
[37:39] Speaker 4: I didn't have time to get home and get a microphone.
[37:41] Speaker 4: In fact, what do you guys hear that? There's like
[37:48] Speaker 4: a murmur happening outside of my car. There's like a
[37:50] Speaker 4: crowd of people. They just walk right by. What are
[37:53] Speaker 4: they hold I'm gonna try to see if I can
[37:55] Speaker 4: hear what they're saying. We I'm trying to enhance the
[38:03] Speaker 4: audio in real time. That's why it kind of sounds weird.
[38:07] Speaker 4: What do you think? Oh my god, what in the dude, dude,
[38:11] Speaker 4: there's a magician. There's a magician outside of this publix
[38:14] Speaker 4: right now? Well that was real. That was a really
[38:19] Speaker 4: cool magic trick. People are like cheering and stuff. I
[38:21] Speaker 4: don't know if you can hear that from my car.
[38:25] Speaker 4: What was I trying to say? Oh yeah, I'm trying
[38:26] Speaker 4: to make this a cohesive I want to make I
[38:29] Speaker 4: want to fix this episode. I want to fix this
[38:31] Speaker 4: episode of The Sanctuary because there's a lot of people
[38:32] Speaker 4: that listen to The Sanctuary and they were relying on
[38:35] Speaker 4: hearing some quality conversation about the show Survivor, especially season
[38:40] Speaker 4: forty nine. Oh my god, Oh my god, what is
[38:51] Speaker 4: the crowd? The crowd has now turned on the magician.
[38:55] Speaker 4: The crowd has turned on the magician. I don't know
[38:57] Speaker 4: what he did. I think he he made someone's wallet
[38:59] Speaker 4: this appear. What in the world is happening? That was crazy?
[39:04] Speaker 4: Did you guys hear that. Oh my god, they're beating
[39:06] Speaker 4: up the magician. You guys hear it. Oh my god,
[39:20] Speaker 4: oh they killed the magician. I just watched it. I
[39:23] Speaker 4: just oh my god, I just watched it. I just
[39:27] Speaker 4: watched the it in front of me.
[39:32] Speaker 6: All Right, I guess I'm gonna hit I'm gonna hit
[39:34] Speaker 6: pause for a second, try and get myself together. I'm
[39:36] Speaker 6: gonna Oh my god, I gotta call the cops. I
[39:39] Speaker 6: gotta get off the phone. I gotta call the police.
[39:41] Speaker 6: I gotta call the police. Oh wait, no, here comes
[39:43] Speaker 6: the ambulance. Someone's already called. Someone's already called. Yeah, yeah,
[39:50] Speaker 6: there's the cop. There's the cop. Oh god, oh no.
[39:54] Speaker 1: Oh.
[39:55] Speaker 4: I hope this isn't some sort of like because there's
[39:57] Speaker 4: so many people that beat up and killed that magician.
[39:59] Speaker 4: I hope this hasn't become like some sort of like
[40:03] Speaker 4: oh no, oh god, oh oh no, oh god. Well,
[40:10] Speaker 4: all the the cops killed everybody outside of the publics.
[40:16] Speaker 4: I'm really glad I stayed in the car.
[40:18] Speaker 1: What was I saying?
[40:19] Speaker 4: What was I talking about? Oh yeah, yeah. I'm trying
[40:23] Speaker 4: to make sure this is a cohesive and listenable because Jonathan,
[40:30] Speaker 4: you know, I'm gonna be honest. I would usually take
[40:33] Speaker 4: this time to rag on Jonathan and to say that
[40:36] Speaker 4: he ruined the sanctuary. I actually think he did a
[40:38] Speaker 4: good job. He gave his thoughts. Sure, did he only
[40:42] Speaker 4: do thirteen minutes when the sanctuary is supposed to be
[40:46] Speaker 4: an hour long thirty minutes minimum? Yeah? Yeah. Do I
[40:51] Speaker 4: think that he half asked it? Yes, I do, But
[40:54] Speaker 4: he at least did a good job. Someone explain to
[40:56] Speaker 4: me why PD felt the need to go on here
[40:59] Speaker 4: and rant for twenty minutes. He's insulting people, He's telling
[41:03] Speaker 4: people to stop joining Jonathan's cult. That's their prerogative.
[41:07] Speaker 1: Brother.
[41:08] Speaker 4: So I actually think PD's the one that really got
[41:10] Speaker 4: this thing. I got this train off the tracks. Train
[41:14] Speaker 4: get it. If you've been listening to the Making the
[41:17] Speaker 4: Merged podcast, you know train has come up a lot.
[41:21] Speaker 4: Oh god, what is it? What in the world? What
[41:24] Speaker 4: is Oh my god?
[41:28] Speaker 1: Aliens have invaded.
[41:33] Speaker 4: There's there's aliens outside the publics. Okay, okay, what am
[41:42] Speaker 4: I gonna do? How do I fight an alien? How
[41:43] Speaker 4: do I?
[41:43] Speaker 1: Oh?
[41:44] Speaker 4: Here one of the one of the cops dropped their guns. Okay,
[41:48] Speaker 4: I shot all the aliens. Oh my god, there's another alien. Okay,
[41:55] Speaker 4: I won, I won? Okay, back to what I was
[42:01] Speaker 4: What was I talking about? Oh? Yeah, this needs to
[42:04] Speaker 4: be non chaotic. It needs to be an actual listenable
[42:09] Speaker 4: episode of the podcast. And so I'm gonna step in
[42:14] Speaker 4: and I'm gonna make this actually professional. Okay, it's time
[42:19] Speaker 4: for me to And I know it's pretty, It's pretty.
[42:22] Speaker 4: I'm already messed up because I don't have a proper microphone.
[42:26] Speaker 4: I'm sorry. This was a last minute thing. I had
[42:29] Speaker 4: to really jump in and try to save the Is
[42:35] Speaker 4: that a is that a missile launcher? Well, the public
[42:43] Speaker 4: just got blown up by a missile launcher. I don't know,
[42:46] Speaker 4: I don't know. I mean, does this seem like a
[42:51] Speaker 4: weird day to you guys that all of this is
[42:54] Speaker 4: happening outside of the publics, You guys are probably wondering
[42:58] Speaker 4: the biggest question is what was I doing at a publix?
[43:01] Speaker 4: What did I need from the publics? Well, it shouldn't
[43:04] Speaker 4: be surprising. Do you guys know that I enjoy a
[43:07] Speaker 4: fruit tray? I like a fruit tray. I like fruits.
[43:12] Speaker 4: Is the plural fruit fruits or is it just fruit
[43:15] Speaker 4: like deer? Uh? Yeah? But I like the trays where
[43:18] Speaker 4: they have the pineapple and the cantlope, and I don't
[43:22] Speaker 4: care much for the honeydew. I don't know if that's
[43:26] Speaker 4: crazy to say. It's like, why are you putting candlelope
[43:28] Speaker 4: and honeydew in the same thing. It's because it's cheap,
[43:31] Speaker 4: That's why they're doing it, because it's a cheap option
[43:33] Speaker 4: for them. But why do I want both honeydew and cantalope.
[43:36] Speaker 4: It's the same thing. It's just one's green. And I
[43:39] Speaker 4: know there's gonna be some of you that fucking get
[43:42] Speaker 4: pissed off about that, but this is it's because you're
[43:45] Speaker 4: too woke, dude. Honeydew and candle lope are the same thing.
[43:49] Speaker 4: They taste the same. Oh god, Okay, oh man, Okay,
[43:56] Speaker 4: now it's time talking about some survivor. Okay, you guys
[44:03] Speaker 4: are not going to believe this. If you just heard that,
[44:06] Speaker 4: you're probably thinking, was that a missile launcher? Again? Was
[44:09] Speaker 4: that an alien invasion? What was that? It was a harpoon, gun?
[44:12] Speaker 4: I kid you not the crater that was made that
[44:16] Speaker 4: used to be publics, which I guess I'm not getting
[44:18] Speaker 4: my fruit. Now you have to go to Walmart, which
[44:21] Speaker 4: I worked at Walmart. And that's why it's awkward for
[44:24] Speaker 4: me to go there because I worked at my local
[44:26] Speaker 4: Walmart when I was in high school. I worked there
[44:28] Speaker 4: for like four years, five years. I know what you're saying, Chase,
[44:32] Speaker 4: howe in the world did you work there for four
[44:34] Speaker 4: or five years? They don't let you get a job
[44:36] Speaker 4: when you're twelve thirteen years old. You're right when I
[44:39] Speaker 4: say I worked there through high school. I mean I
[44:41] Speaker 4: started when I was sixteen and I worked seventeen eighteen. Actually,
[44:48] Speaker 4: I think I started working there at fifteen. When did
[44:51] Speaker 4: I start working at I worked there for a while.
[44:53] Speaker 4: I worked there through college too, but not all of college,
[44:56] Speaker 4: only only like the first two summers of college.
[45:02] Speaker 2: Hmm.
[45:02] Speaker 4: I know what you guys are thinking, and I know
[45:03] Speaker 4: I've said that a lot. That's probably another thing that
[45:05] Speaker 4: you guys are thinking. You're probably saying, he has said,
[45:06] Speaker 4: I know what you guys are thinking a lot. But
[45:08] Speaker 4: that's the thing is, I don't have a conversation partner.
[45:10] Speaker 4: You guys are listening to me. I have to try
[45:12] Speaker 4: to guess what you guys are saying back. You know
[45:16] Speaker 4: what I mean. That's how a conversation works. I'm sorry,
[45:19] Speaker 4: I got a little choked up. There's a lot of
[45:20] Speaker 4: dust in the air from when the publics got blown up. Oh,
[45:24] Speaker 4: I guess I should probably finish what I was saying
[45:26] Speaker 4: about why there was a harpoon gun. Someone filled the
[45:29] Speaker 4: crater at Publics with water, and now someone thinks that
[45:33] Speaker 4: they can go fishing in this thing. There's no way
[45:35] Speaker 4: there's fish in there. Dude, there's no way there's fish.
[45:41] Speaker 4: But yes, I've really lost my train of thought. Hut,
[45:48] Speaker 4: I see I was talking about I worked at Walmart.
[45:51] Speaker 1: Oh.
[45:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's awkward for me to go there because
[45:54] Speaker 4: I worked there for so long. And then, guys, I
[45:57] Speaker 4: don't know if I should say this. I never like
[45:59] Speaker 4: actually quit, Like I just didn't come back one day
[46:04] Speaker 4: because I was on that kind of like educational leave
[46:07] Speaker 4: where I was going to college, and then on breaks
[46:09] Speaker 4: I would come and work. And then I think, just
[46:12] Speaker 4: one break, I just didn't call them, and then and
[46:16] Speaker 4: then I never got my final paycheck from them, which
[46:19] Speaker 4: is crazy because it was direct deposit. You think they
[46:23] Speaker 4: would just directly deposit into my account my final paycheck.
[46:26] Speaker 4: They didn't, So then I was broken college. It was
[46:29] Speaker 4: spring break, I go up to Walmart and I'm like, hey,
[46:34] Speaker 4: I got something in the mailist that I had, like
[46:36] Speaker 4: a final paycheck, and they gave me a check. It
[46:38] Speaker 4: was like two thousand dollars. So, since it was spring break,
[46:41] Speaker 4: me and my now wife, we were just dating at
[46:44] Speaker 4: the time, because that's how relationships work, went to Nashville
[46:48] Speaker 4: and hung out for the week for spring break because
[46:50] Speaker 4: we received this money from Walmart. It was crazy. And
[46:53] Speaker 4: I know what you're saying. I know what you're thinking, Chase.
[46:56] Speaker 4: Was that the most responsible thing to do with the money? Yeah?
[46:58] Speaker 4: I had a job at college. Was it a lot
[47:00] Speaker 4: of money? No? But when you when you get like
[47:03] Speaker 4: a two thousand dollars check from Walmart from a job
[47:05] Speaker 4: that you haven't worked at in over a year, and
[47:08] Speaker 4: it's just kind of it's like free money. You know.
[47:11] Speaker 4: Oh God, you will not believe what's happening Beside me.
[47:14] Speaker 4: Someone has pulled up in their jeep, their jeep wrangler,
[47:18] Speaker 4: and they are now fly fishing in the water hole.
[47:35] Speaker 1: What are you doing.
[47:36] Speaker 4: I'm gonna roll down my window and talk to this guy.
[47:38] Speaker 4: Do you guys mind if I if I rolled down
[47:42] Speaker 4: my window and talk to this guy real quick. I
[47:47] Speaker 4: hope that's okay. How do I roll the windows down
[47:51] Speaker 4: in this car? This is a new car. I bought
[47:53] Speaker 4: a new car. This podcast has been so successful that
[47:56] Speaker 4: all of us were able to go buy cyber trucks
[48:00] Speaker 4: Tesla cyber trucks. I know what you guys are thinking, Chase,
[48:03] Speaker 4: isn't that problematic? We are problematic, baby, we're problematic. How
[48:08] Speaker 4: do I roll the window down in this thing? Well?
[48:12] Speaker 4: That wasn't it. But now my window's broken, And now
[48:14] Speaker 4: I have to awkwardly try to get this guy's attention
[48:16] Speaker 4: to get him to roll down his window. Hey, rolled down.
[48:21] Speaker 4: I'm making a roll down the window motion. Roll down
[48:23] Speaker 4: your window. Well, now he broke his window too. I
[48:30] Speaker 4: guess he's also at a cyber truck. This must be
[48:32] Speaker 4: a problem. I wonder if there's gonna be some sort
[48:34] Speaker 4: of factory recall. Yeah, you can't roll down the windows
[48:39] Speaker 4: in this thing. You just had to break the glass.
[48:42] Speaker 4: That's pretty sorry. The guy beside me, he must have
[48:52] Speaker 4: had his cyber truck for a while. He just started
[48:54] Speaker 4: doing maintenance and construction on his window. He just installed
[48:58] Speaker 4: a new window into his cyber truck, like right in
[49:02] Speaker 4: front of me. I totally forgot what I was gonna
[49:03] Speaker 4: ask him. Oh, I was gonna ask him why is
[49:05] Speaker 4: fishing in this way? Hey man, hey, why are you
[49:08] Speaker 4: fishing in the It was a public's not twelve minutes
[49:12] Speaker 4: and thirty eight seconds ago. Oh yeah, Oh okay, well
[49:20] Speaker 4: how about you say that to my face next time
[49:24] Speaker 4: you are saying it in my face. I'm trying to
[49:28] Speaker 4: roll my window up. But then I forgot that. Oh no,
[49:30] Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to fight this guy. Ah my shin ah.
[49:37] Speaker 4: He just ripped my arm out of the socket. Oh no,
[49:43] Speaker 4: I stepped on my crunch candy boar. Yep, there goes
[49:48] Speaker 4: my teeth. Okay.
[49:59] Speaker 7: Uh So I'm trying to make sure this is a
[50:08] Speaker 7: cohesive episode.
[50:13] Speaker 4: Because Jonathan and PD did such a terrible job of
[50:17] Speaker 4: making sure this is a professional episode of making the birge.
[50:24] Speaker 4: Luckily I was able to step in and save the day.
[50:28] Speaker 4: I should probably talk about Survivor or something. There's some
[50:32] Speaker 4: rumors going around that someone's cheating on that I think,
[50:38] Speaker 4: say it's say make up this someone on Twitter. I
[50:42] Speaker 4: saw a Survivor player be like, oh yeah, well then
[50:44] Speaker 4: why don't you expose to everybody why you're cheating? Right now,
[50:50] Speaker 4: I don't know if I buy. And some people are
[50:51] Speaker 4: saying it's Sigretti and that's why she's not getting much
[50:54] Speaker 4: screen time. But the people that are saying that she's
[50:56] Speaker 4: not getting much screen time must not be watching the challenge.
[50:59] Speaker 4: Is Big Dog because been dominating Detective Sigarette's on the case.
[51:02] Speaker 4: He's gonna win the whole season, and I'm gonna it's
[51:05] Speaker 4: gonna give Chase his team, the fake idols, the dub.
[51:09] Speaker 4: Jonathan thinks he's gonna win, just kidding. Jonathan knows he's
[51:12] Speaker 4: not gonna win. P D thinks that p D genuinely
[51:16] Speaker 4: and this is all jokes aside. I believe that PD
[51:20] Speaker 4: really thinks Riz God has a chance of winning this season.
[51:23] Speaker 4: Is Riz good an amazing player? Yes? Do I think
[51:27] Speaker 4: that he deserves his spot on fifty? Absolutely? And I
[51:30] Speaker 4: know some people are gonna be upset that I said that,
[51:32] Speaker 4: but I meant it, and I meant it with my
[51:33] Speaker 4: whole chest. And if you want to do something about it,
[51:36] Speaker 4: then you can come meet me at this public s
[51:37] Speaker 4: parking lot and you can break a couple of my bones,
[51:40] Speaker 4: just like this guy that was fishing did. But do
[51:43] Speaker 4: I think Riz God's gonna win the season. No, I
[51:45] Speaker 4: do not. I do not think riz Good's gonna win
[51:47] Speaker 4: this season. Do I think Savannah is gonna win the season?
[51:51] Speaker 1: Probably?
[51:52] Speaker 4: I think it's likely. I would love for and as
[51:56] Speaker 4: much as this would suck, because p D would win
[51:59] Speaker 4: the draft. I would love to see Sophie Baldy win.
[52:03] Speaker 4: It's a She's a fun, fun, a fan favorite, a
[52:07] Speaker 4: fun character, and Steven. I would love for Steven to
[52:14] Speaker 4: win it because then I would win the draft, and
[52:16] Speaker 4: I think he's capable of it. Do I think that
[52:18] Speaker 4: he's gonna win. Unlikely, but it's possible. I was just
[52:25] Speaker 4: telling PD about this.
[52:26] Speaker 1: I was just saying p D.
[52:29] Speaker 4: We we were texting, and it would have been weird
[52:31] Speaker 4: if I like texted his name when I was talking
[52:34] Speaker 4: to him, But I said PD. I think in the
[52:38] Speaker 4: next couple of episodes, this whole game is going to
[52:41] Speaker 4: go very unhinged, and I think we're gonna have Savannah
[52:46] Speaker 4: and Rizzo eliminated pretty soon. The whole everything we thought
[52:50] Speaker 4: we knew about this season is gonna be flipped on
[52:52] Speaker 4: its head and our final three is gonna be insane.
[52:55] Speaker 4: I'm talking Steven Christina Juwan Final three write that down
[53:05] Speaker 4: if you're taking notes, because I know you guys take
[53:07] Speaker 4: this show very seriously and you take notes to really
[53:12] Speaker 4: learn something about survivor from us. Write that down. Write
[53:16] Speaker 4: down that prediction. Because when it's the final three and
[53:18] Speaker 4: everybody's like, no one saw that coming, that was crazy.
[53:20] Speaker 4: Nobody saw that coming, you guys will know that outside
[53:23] Speaker 4: of this publix, well it used to be a publix,
[53:27] Speaker 4: it's now a watering hole. I esn't know what you
[53:29] Speaker 4: guys are thinking. Chase got the kind of money to
[53:31] Speaker 4: shop at publics. I know, I know growing up did
[53:37] Speaker 4: not have public's money. We didn't go to publics growing up.
[53:40] Speaker 4: We went to Bilo. I don't know if you guys
[53:43] Speaker 4: will even know what that is, to step up from Ingles.
[53:48] Speaker 4: If you know what that is, then food Lion purchased Bilow.
[53:53] Speaker 4: So now all of our Bilows are food Lions. And
[53:56] Speaker 4: I don't really like food Line if I'm being honest,
[53:58] Speaker 4: So I go to publics. Now, realistically I should get
[54:04] Speaker 4: a Sam's Club membership and probably be cheaper, but I don't.
[54:07] Speaker 4: I don't have like ten kids, you know, I feel
[54:08] Speaker 4: like Sam's Club is really anyway, guys, this has been.
[54:12] Speaker 4: I think I saved the episode. I think I turned
[54:14] Speaker 4: it around. I think I made it cohesive. I think
[54:16] Speaker 4: I made it an actually intelligent and communicative episode of
[54:23] Speaker 4: making the merge the Sanctuary where good pods happen. The
[54:28] Speaker 4: other two ended with the Mary Song, which is the
[54:32] Speaker 4: sanctuary theme song. I'm not gonna be arrogant enough to
[54:36] Speaker 4: think that this is the end of the episode because
[54:38] Speaker 4: maybe Brand will hop in. Probably not, because it's as
[54:43] Speaker 4: of recording this the episode needs to go out immediately.
[54:48] Speaker 4: But if I know PD, I know he might try
[54:49] Speaker 4: to hop in here at the end. I don't know.
[54:54] Speaker 4: I'm just gonna I think I'm gonna end the episode
[54:57] Speaker 4: with a moment of silence for real, Let's all take
[55:01] Speaker 4: a moment of silence for Rudy. Okay, bye bye, love you,
[55:14] Speaker 4: Bye bye
