[0:01] Speaker 1: Hallelujah.
[0:03] Speaker 2: Let's pray. Good morning, everybody.
[0:05] Speaker 1: Father, we thank you for the privilege of hearing your word.
[0:10] Speaker 1: We're hearers, we're listeners, we're doers in the name of Jesus.
[0:14] Speaker 1: Thank you for this morning. Bless our hearts. Let your
[0:18] Speaker 1: word come with power. Let it lift us in the
[0:21] Speaker 1: name of Jesus. Blow, blow, blow like a mighty wind.
[0:28] Speaker 1: Spirit of victory.
[0:32] Speaker 2: Cover us with your wind. Blow, blow, say. Blow, blow,
[0:39] Speaker 2: blow like a mighty wind. Spirit of victory. Cover us
[0:47] Speaker 2: with your wind. We want to see you. We want
[0:50] Speaker 2: to see you.
[0:52] Speaker 3: Like a mighty Russian wind. We want to dwell under
[0:59] Speaker 3: the shadow of your wind. We want to see you, God,
[1:06] Speaker 3: like a mighty rushing wind. We want to dwell under
[1:13] Speaker 3: the shadow.
[1:14] Speaker 2: Of your wings.
[1:15] Speaker 1: Lift your hands and worship him.
[1:19] Speaker 2: Oh, Lord. Go like a mighty wind. Spirit of victory.
[1:25] Speaker 2: Cover us, cover us.
[1:28] Speaker 4: Oh, Lord. Oh, Lord.
[1:32] Speaker 2: Blow, blow, blow like a mighty wind. Just like the
[1:36] Speaker 2: day of Pentecost.
[1:37] Speaker 5: Spirit of victory.
[1:39] Speaker 4: Cover us with your wings.
[1:40] Speaker 2: Cover us with your wings. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Parables
[1:48] Speaker 2: of Mercy, part one. Please be seated. God bless you.
[1:52] Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus. We have to be very fast.
[1:55] Speaker 1: Exodus chapter 34 from verse 6.
[2:00] Speaker 2: Parables of Mercy. Part one.
[2:04] Speaker 1: We'll continue part two in the second service. And then
[2:07] Speaker 1: part three. Like Pastor shared, I encourage you, please follow
[2:11] Speaker 1: through the service. There won't be repetition. It will just
[2:14] Speaker 1: be a continuation. Now, scripture reveals to us the nature
[2:20] Speaker 1: of God. One of the ways that we know God
[2:24] Speaker 1: is through the revelation of him from scripture. Scripture can
[2:28] Speaker 1: help the believer to know God. And in the revelation
[2:32] Speaker 1: of scripture is the knowledge of the nature. Please follow carefully.
[2:37] Speaker 1: And the character of God. So we can learn God
[2:41] Speaker 1: as we study scripture. And the Bible reveals the multifaceted
[2:46] Speaker 1: nature of God. And we're going to examine one of
[2:50] Speaker 1: those attributes. Exodus 34 from verse 6 and 7.
[2:55] Speaker 2: And the Lord passed by before him and proclaimed.
[3:00] Speaker 1: The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering and
[3:06] Speaker 1: abundant in goodness and truth.
[3:09] Speaker 2: Verse 7.
[3:11] Speaker 1: Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.
[3:19] Speaker 2: And that will by no means clear the guilty.
[3:22] Speaker 1: Visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and
[3:25] Speaker 1: upon the children's children unto the third.
[3:28] Speaker 2: And the fourth generations.
[3:30] Speaker 1: Next scripture, Psalm 145 from verse 8 and 9.
[3:34] Speaker 2: We'll quickly look at a few scriptures.
[3:36] Speaker 1: Psalm 145 from verse 8 and 9. It says, the
[3:42] Speaker 1: Lord is gracious and full of compassion. He's also slow
[3:47] Speaker 1: to anger and great or plenteous in mercy. Verse 9,
[3:53] Speaker 1: the Lord is good to all. And then it says
[3:56] Speaker 1: his tender mercies are over all his works.
[4:00] Speaker 2: Next verse.
[4:02] Speaker 1: Lamentations chapter 3 from verse 22 and 23. We're revealing
[4:08] Speaker 1: the scriptures that attest to the fact that God is
[4:11] Speaker 1: a merciful and a compassionate God. The Bible says that
[4:15] Speaker 1: his mercies are new every morning.
[4:18] Speaker 2: It says great is thy faithfulness. 22 and 23. 22
[4:21] Speaker 2: and 23.
[4:21] Speaker 1: 22 and 23. He says, it is of the Lord's
[4:26] Speaker 1: mercy that we are not consumed. Then he says, because
[4:30] Speaker 1: his compassions fail not. They are new every morning and
[4:34] Speaker 1: his faithfulness is so great.
[4:36] Speaker 2: Two more scriptures.
[4:38] Speaker 1: Micah chapter 7. We start from verse 18 and 19.
[4:42] Speaker 1: Micah chapter 7. Who is a God like unto thee?
[4:51] Speaker 1: Someone say amen. Psalm 89 please and verse 14.
[5:19] Speaker 2: Last scripture.
[5:20] Speaker 1: Psalm 89 and verse 14. The Bible says justice and
[5:25] Speaker 1: judgment are the habitation or the foundation of your throne.
[5:30] Speaker 1: But then mercy and truth shall also go before your face.
[5:35] Speaker 1: So he's not only a God of judgment and justice.
[5:38] Speaker 1: He's also a God of mercy and of truth. God
[5:41] Speaker 1: is revealed from all these scriptures.
[5:44] Speaker 2: As an exceptionally merciful God.
[5:47] Speaker 1: And it is important we know the attributes of God
[5:50] Speaker 1: because they will help us to relate with God and
[5:52] Speaker 1: they will help us know what we should become.
[5:55] Speaker 2: Because we become as we see him. Are we together?
[5:59] Speaker 1: Believers are also encouraged like God to be people that show.
[6:03] Speaker 2: Mercy and compassion.
[6:04] Speaker 1: The Bible not only reveals the nature and the character
[6:07] Speaker 1: of God as a merciful God. Believers are encouraged all
[6:11] Speaker 1: through scripture. to be compassionate, to be merciful. Ready for
[6:15] Speaker 1: those scriptures? Number one, Proverbs chapter 3. Just laying a
[6:20] Speaker 1: few foundations. Proverbs chapter 3, we'll read from verse 3
[6:24] Speaker 1: and 4. Proverbs 3, 3 and 4.
[6:27] Speaker 2: Look up please.
[6:27] Speaker 1: It says, Let not mercy and truth forsake you. Bind
[6:32] Speaker 1: them about thy neck. Write them upon the table of
[6:36] Speaker 1: your heart. It says so by being merciful and by
[6:41] Speaker 1: being compassionate you will find favor and good understanding in
[6:46] Speaker 1: the sight of God and in the sight of man.
[6:49] Speaker 1: Proverbs 11 verse 17.
[6:54] Speaker 2: Scriptures are good for edification.
[6:56] Speaker 1: It says, the merciful man doeth good to his own soul.
[7:00] Speaker 2: Amazing.
[7:01] Speaker 1: That when you are merciful, you are not only helping another,
[7:05] Speaker 1: but that you are doing good to your own soul.
[7:07] Speaker 2: But he that is cruel troubled his own flesh.
[7:15] Speaker 1: Matthew chapter 5 and verse 7. Matthew chapter 5 and
[7:21] Speaker 1: verse 7.
[7:21] Speaker 2: Let's read together. It's projected. Ready? Read, please.
[7:25] Speaker 1: Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. That
[7:30] Speaker 1: means the reward for being merciful is that you will
[7:33] Speaker 1: also obtain mercy. So here the Bible reveals that mercy
[7:37] Speaker 1: is a harvest. It's a harvest that comes only when
[7:41] Speaker 1: you sow that seed of mercy. Blessed are the merciful. Very,
[7:49] Speaker 1: very powerful scripture. Matthew 25. This will be a long
[7:53] Speaker 1: reading and then I'll begin to teach. Matthew 25 will
[7:56] Speaker 1: start from verse 31.
[8:02] Speaker 2: Now look at this very interesting scripture.
[8:04] Speaker 1: Jesus is teaching here, not another prophet, not another psalmist.
[8:08] Speaker 1: He says, when the son of man shall come in
[8:10] Speaker 1: his glory. We're reading down to 46. And all the
[8:13] Speaker 1: holy angels with him. Then he shall sit upon the
[8:16] Speaker 1: throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered
[8:20] Speaker 1: all nations. And he shall separate them one from another.
[8:24] Speaker 1: As a shepherd divided his sheep from the goats. He
[8:28] Speaker 1: shall set the sheep on his right hand. But the
[8:32] Speaker 1: goats on the left.
[8:32] Speaker 5: 34.
[8:33] Speaker 2: 34.
[8:34] Speaker 1: Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, Come,
[8:39] Speaker 1: ye blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for
[8:43] Speaker 1: you from the foundation of the world.
[8:45] Speaker 2: 35. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat.
[8:50] Speaker 5: 36.
[8:51] Speaker 1: I was thirsty and ye gave me drink. This is
[8:54] Speaker 1: God judging. I was a stranger and ye took me in.
[8:59] Speaker 1: Look at that kind of risk. Naked and ye clothed me.
[9:02] Speaker 1: I was sick and ye visited me. I was in
[9:05] Speaker 1: prison and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous
[9:10] Speaker 1: answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee and hungered
[9:14] Speaker 1: and fed thee, or thirsty and gave thee drink that
[9:16] Speaker 1: ye ate? When saw we thee a stranger and took
[9:21] Speaker 1: thee in, or naked and clothed thee? Or when saw
[9:26] Speaker 1: we thee sick or in prison and came to thee?
[9:29] Speaker 2: 40.
[9:31] Speaker 1: And the king shall answer and say unto them, Verily
[9:34] Speaker 1: I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it
[9:39] Speaker 1: unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done
[9:43] Speaker 1: it unto me. Then shall he say unto them that
[9:47] Speaker 1: are at the left hand, Depart from me ye cursed
[9:52] Speaker 1: into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
[9:57] Speaker 2: For I was an.
[9:57] Speaker 1: Hungered and ye gave me no meat. I was thirsty
[10:02] Speaker 1: and ye gave me no drink. I was a stranger
[10:06] Speaker 1: and ye took me not in naked and ye cloth
[10:08] Speaker 1: me not sick and in prison and ye visited me not.
[10:13] Speaker 1: Then shall they answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we
[10:18] Speaker 1: this and that and that?
[10:19] Speaker 2: Go to verse 45.
[10:22] Speaker 1: And he shall answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you,
[10:25] Speaker 1: inasmuch as ye did not unto one of the least
[10:29] Speaker 1: of this, ye did not do it to me also.
[10:31] Speaker 2: Right?
[10:31] Speaker 1: 46, the last verse. And this shall go away into
[10:35] Speaker 1: everlasting punishment. but the righteous into life eternal. Isn't it
[10:40] Speaker 1: amazing the basis of the king's judgment that he sat
[10:43] Speaker 1: on the throne and began to tell the people that
[10:46] Speaker 1: your crime and your offense is that you did not
[10:49] Speaker 1: acknowledge that life was to be lived by the understanding
[10:53] Speaker 1: of mercy. And he presented scenarios before them where they
[10:58] Speaker 1: did not show forth mercy.
[11:00] Speaker 2: Very, very powerful.
[11:02] Speaker 1: So not only is God a merciful God, believers are
[11:06] Speaker 1: encouraged from scripture again and again that part of the
[11:11] Speaker 1: attributes of God we must imbibe. It's not just faith.
[11:15] Speaker 1: It's not just diligence and so on and so forth.
[11:19] Speaker 1: But we must sustain the fortitude for being merciful. Jesus
[11:25] Speaker 1: taught and mentored the disciples and all who listened to
[11:28] Speaker 1: him using parables. It was his culture to communicate heavenly
[11:33] Speaker 1: realities using parables.
[11:34] Speaker 2: He would find.
[11:38] Speaker 1: Expressions that related to their context to communicate kingdom realities.
[11:42] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[11:44] Speaker 1: And he taught many parables that revealed the mysteries of
[11:47] Speaker 1: the kingdom to guide believers to a point of conformity
[11:52] Speaker 1: to the nature and the character of the Christ. And
[11:54] Speaker 1: I want us to look at three of these parables.
[11:57] Speaker 1: We'll look at one per service.
[11:59] Speaker 2: Are we together? Number one.
[12:02] Speaker 1: The parable of the good Samaritan. Luke chapter 10. Let's
[12:06] Speaker 1: start from verse 25. Jesus is teaching now. And he's
[12:10] Speaker 1: revealing to the disciples. Showing them the system of the kingdom.
[12:16] Speaker 1: He says behold.
[12:17] Speaker 2: A certain lawyer.
[12:19] Speaker 1: So the discourse starts with a lawyer coming to make inquiry.
[12:24] Speaker 1: He stood up and tempted him saying, Master, what shall
[12:28] Speaker 1: I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him,
[12:33] Speaker 1: what is written in your law? How readest thou? And
[12:37] Speaker 1: he answered and said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy
[12:40] Speaker 1: God with all your heart, your soul, your strength, and
[12:44] Speaker 1: your mind. And then love your neighbor. That's where the
[12:47] Speaker 1: trouble began. When he began to talk about another person.
[12:51] Speaker 2: Love your neighbor as yourself.
[12:54] Speaker 1: He gives you a standard to loving your neighbor. That
[12:57] Speaker 1: means before you love anyone, you have to look at yourself.
[13:01] Speaker 1: The way you love yourself. That means that when you
[13:05] Speaker 1: do not love people, it's a reflection of a perception
[13:08] Speaker 1: you have about yourself. It says, love your neighbor as yourself.
[13:12] Speaker 1: And he said unto him, thou hast answered right, this do,
[13:16] Speaker 1: and thou shalt live.
[13:18] Speaker 2: Next verse.
[13:19] Speaker 1: But he willing to justify himself said to Jesus, and
[13:25] Speaker 1: who is my neighbor?
[13:27] Speaker 2: Story, story. Let's go on. Now, Jesus is about to teach.
[13:30] Speaker 1: I love the way Jesus, you know, he would answer
[13:32] Speaker 1: you in a very intelligent way.
[13:34] Speaker 2: He would say, now come with me. He would journey
[13:36] Speaker 2: through your.
[13:36] Speaker 1: Mind and make sure that he explains to you in
[13:40] Speaker 1: a way that leaves you convicted. And Jesus answered and said,
[13:44] Speaker 1: a certain man. Now, usually parables do not have the
[13:48] Speaker 1: names of people. It just creates the personalities and then
[13:52] Speaker 1: the lessons to learn.
[13:54] Speaker 2: Except for the scenario of Lazarus. It was a parable.
[13:58] Speaker 1: Well, theologians argue that it was an event that really happened.
[14:02] Speaker 2: But then it's also classified as a parable.
[14:06] Speaker 1: And Jesus answered and said, a certain man went down
[14:09] Speaker 1: from Jerusalem to Jericho. Follow the story now. And fell
[14:13] Speaker 1: among thieves. So this had nothing to do with the
[14:16] Speaker 1: man's carelessness. He was a man returning from a journey.
[14:19] Speaker 1: And he fell among thieves. The Bible says they stripped
[14:22] Speaker 1: him of his raiment. and wounded him and departed, leaving
[14:28] Speaker 1: him half dead. And by chance, there came down a
[14:33] Speaker 1: certain priest. Now, priests were after the order of Aaron.
[14:39] Speaker 1: They were descendants and sons of Aaron. They were apportioned. Now,
[14:43] Speaker 1: the priesthood had three categories. There was the high priest.
[14:47] Speaker 1: Then there were the priests that served. And then there
[14:49] Speaker 1: were the Levites who were descendants of Levi.
[14:52] Speaker 2: Are we together now?
[14:53] Speaker 1: And so he's saying now that a certain priest went
[14:56] Speaker 1: down his way and when he saw that man wounded,
[14:59] Speaker 1: so that was a pastor, that was a man of God,
[15:02] Speaker 1: an apostle, a prophet. He was on his way to
[15:05] Speaker 1: church and he saw a man wounded, beaten, half dead.
[15:09] Speaker 1: And the Bible says he passed by the other side.
[15:14] Speaker 1: And was on his way going. Likewise the Levite. The
[15:17] Speaker 1: Levites are like walkers in church. They help in the
[15:20] Speaker 1: keeping of the tabernacle. They help with all kinds of activities.
[15:23] Speaker 1: Of deaconry activities. All the auxiliary activities. That supports the
[15:28] Speaker 1: walk in the house. And here comes a Levite.
[15:30] Speaker 2: A walker. Trained.
[15:32] Speaker 1: Loves God committed to a church and when he was
[15:36] Speaker 1: at the place he looked at him a man do
[15:39] Speaker 1: you think the man half dead would just be watching
[15:41] Speaker 1: them I'm sure he would beckon on them and say
[15:43] Speaker 1: please what can you do and they left him said
[15:46] Speaker 1: no no I need to run to church and they
[15:49] Speaker 1: looked at him and passed by the other side 33.
[15:52] Speaker 2: But a certain Samaritan.
[15:54] Speaker 1: Now, you have to understand that in those days, the
[15:57] Speaker 1: Jews hated the Samaritans. They were not, they were enemies,
[16:01] Speaker 1: they were rivals, they would have nothing to do with themselves.
[16:04] Speaker 1: A certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, he came.
[16:07] Speaker 2: Where he was.
[16:09] Speaker 1: When he saw him, hallelujah, he had compassion. Everybody say compassion.
[16:15] Speaker 1: He had compassion. And then next verse. He went to
[16:20] Speaker 1: him and bound his wounds. Did you know that was
[16:23] Speaker 1: a risk? Number one, it was in the night. Number two,
[16:26] Speaker 1: if someone caught him doing that, he would believe he
[16:29] Speaker 1: was the one who harmed that man and kill him.
[16:31] Speaker 2: This was a risk.
[16:33] Speaker 1: This man was taking his life, binding his wounds, pouring
[16:37] Speaker 1: oil and wine and set him on his own donkey.
[16:42] Speaker 1: And brought him to an inn. And took care of him.
[16:45] Speaker 1: That man suspended his journey. He suspended. He forgot about himself.
[16:51] Speaker 1: To attend unto a man. That was wounded. Verse 35.
[16:58] Speaker 1: And on the morrow, that means he spent the entire
[17:01] Speaker 1: night there. An extra cost that was not initially planned.
[17:04] Speaker 1: He took two pens and gave them to the host.
[17:08] Speaker 1: And said unto them, take.
[17:10] Speaker 2: Care of him.
[17:11] Speaker 1: And whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again. That
[17:15] Speaker 1: means I will still come back. I will come back
[17:17] Speaker 1: and ensure that this man was alright. He says, I
[17:20] Speaker 1: will repay you. Which of these three thinkest thou was
[17:25] Speaker 1: the neighbor to him that fell.
[17:26] Speaker 2: Among the thieves?
[17:27] Speaker 1: 37 and he said he that showed mercy on him
[17:35] Speaker 1: he that showed mercy on him now here is the
[17:39] Speaker 1: instruction jesus said unto him go return with this revelation
[17:45] Speaker 1: and reproduce that act in your life i have taught
[17:48] Speaker 1: you something about living that you borrow from the samaritan
[17:54] Speaker 1: And that you go and begin to show seeds of mercy.
[17:57] Speaker 2: Do likewise. That means your neighbor is.
[18:00] Speaker 1: Whoever needs your mercy.
[18:04] Speaker 2: Anyone at all. Your relatives. Whoever it is.
[18:08] Speaker 1: Now this looks like a very simple subject. But it
[18:11] Speaker 1: is powerful in the sight of God. Because every time
[18:14] Speaker 1: you show mercy, you also show gratitude. It's like communion.
[18:19] Speaker 1: You are reminding God that you are conscious of what
[18:24] Speaker 1: he did to you through the substitutionary sacrifice of his
[18:28] Speaker 1: son in the cross. The parable of the Samaritan. Go
[18:33] Speaker 1: and do likewise. To plant seeds of mercy, go and
[18:38] Speaker 1: do likewise. More than anointing, more than diligence more than
[18:44] Speaker 1: faith and you know we live in a context today
[18:48] Speaker 1: that is so self-centered we live in a context today
[18:51] Speaker 1: that is so individualistic provided it does not come near
[18:56] Speaker 1: your door it's none of your business are we together
[18:59] Speaker 1: now and that is not the culture of the kingdom
[19:02] Speaker 1: the bible says that we must go out of our
[19:04] Speaker 1: way to sow seeds of mercy There are many people
[19:09] Speaker 1: right now who are programming wars and disaster to themselves
[19:14] Speaker 1: and their children. Did you know that there are people
[19:16] Speaker 1: today in this nation who may not necessarily have any investments.
[19:20] Speaker 1: They may not even be successful personally. But they took
[19:23] Speaker 1: the risk of spending their youthful days sowing seeds of mercy.
[19:28] Speaker 1: And they are ripping off that harvest today. The seeds
[19:33] Speaker 1: of mercy. The seeds of mercy. That you find lives
[19:39] Speaker 1: that need the mercy of God. And you are there
[19:42] Speaker 1: for people. You help them stand. You help them know God.
[19:46] Speaker 1: You help them love God. Let me tell you. Not
[19:48] Speaker 1: everyone will be hungry. you will find somebody who will
[19:51] Speaker 1: remember you he will meet you and say 20 years
[19:54] Speaker 1: ago you insisted I told you I did not have
[19:57] Speaker 1: transport to go to church you said it's not a
[20:00] Speaker 1: problem took me out for lunch you made sure I
[20:03] Speaker 1: got born again you followed up with me and now
[20:06] Speaker 1: look what I've become And the person will vow and say,
[20:09] Speaker 1: provided I'm alive, you will never beg for food again.
[20:16] Speaker 1: The parable of the good Samaritan. that it is not
[20:21] Speaker 1: enough in the sight of God that you are a priest.
[20:24] Speaker 1: It is not enough in the sight of God that
[20:26] Speaker 1: you are a Levite. Did you know that some of
[20:29] Speaker 1: the most anointed people, some of the greatest preachers around
[20:33] Speaker 1: the world, sincerely speaking and respectfully so, when it has
[20:37] Speaker 1: to do with these issues of mercy and kindness and love,
[20:41] Speaker 1: some of the intelligent CEOs, some of the great people,
[20:46] Speaker 1: we are great in terms of our field, our craft,
[20:49] Speaker 1: But once it has to do with human relations, it's
[20:53] Speaker 1: almost zero. So you can have a preacher who can preach,
[20:57] Speaker 1: can cast out devils, can raise the dead.
[20:59] Speaker 2: But after church, he's walking and he sees.
[21:02] Speaker 1: A faithful member who had been cleaning the church and
[21:05] Speaker 1: does not even bother.
[21:07] Speaker 2: This man is about to trek back home.
[21:09] Speaker 1: He can stop in his front and buy something worth 1,000.
[21:13] Speaker 2: And cannot say, take 100 naira. Don't worry. Your faith
[21:16] Speaker 2: is working. One day you will have a car. Let
[21:18] Speaker 2: me encourage you. Listen.
[21:19] Speaker 1: Listen. Edge yourself in the history of people. Let them
[21:24] Speaker 1: rise knowing you were there. Don't come into their future
[21:27] Speaker 1: and expect to be featured in their life. If you
[21:30] Speaker 1: were not there when people were at their down times,
[21:33] Speaker 1: don't expect to be invited.
[21:34] Speaker 2: At the table of greatness. Are you getting this now?
[21:39] Speaker 1: There are many of us today, by the grace of God,
[21:43] Speaker 1: it is not really your certificate that will feed you.
[21:46] Speaker 1: It is not really your intellectual investment as important as
[21:51] Speaker 1: that is. As the days go by, you will find
[21:53] Speaker 1: out that you want to take your child to a
[21:56] Speaker 1: school and you look at the proprietor and he.
[21:58] Speaker 2: Says, I know you.
[21:59] Speaker 1: Remember in 1999, somebody who was crying one day And
[22:06] Speaker 1: you say, you are the one.
[22:07] Speaker 2: He said, this is the Lord's doing. Your child will
[22:09] Speaker 2: become head boy, head girl.
[22:11] Speaker 1: Doesn't matter whether they are taking first position or not.
[22:13] Speaker 1: They become an eternal excellency because of something you did.
[22:18] Speaker 2: Listen, I want you to look back today.
[22:21] Speaker 1: If nobody can remember you as they are rising, it's
[22:24] Speaker 1: proof you are taking a risk.
[22:25] Speaker 2: You are sitting on a time bomb. You must find people.
[22:30] Speaker 1: There are many of our elderly people today. In their
[22:33] Speaker 1: old age, they move around as though they are cursed.
[22:36] Speaker 1: And you are wondering, what did they do with their
[22:39] Speaker 1: youthful days? Who did you raise when you were director?
[22:42] Speaker 1: Who did you lift? Every time God prospers you, use
[22:47] Speaker 1: your blessing to create the history of impacting the lives
[22:51] Speaker 1: of people.
[22:53] Speaker 2: There are people who can never go down.
[22:55] Speaker 1: They've raised too many people to stop them from touching
[22:58] Speaker 1: the ground again. Please listen to what I teach you
[23:02] Speaker 1: in this conference. It is the wisdom that makes for
[23:07] Speaker 1: living in the cosmos. The little children that we see
[23:10] Speaker 1: and push today. Tomorrow will be the ones to come
[23:15] Speaker 1: and hold our hands. This individualistic living.
[23:19] Speaker 2: I am happy. I have a job. I have this.
[23:23] Speaker 2: I am comfortable. No. Do not make the mistake of Esther.
[23:27] Speaker 1: She was forgetting about the Jews and Mordecai warned her.
[23:30] Speaker 1: And says you are taking a risk. One day they
[23:32] Speaker 1: will find out you are a Jew. And when they
[23:34] Speaker 1: find out you are a Jew, you will not have
[23:36] Speaker 1: any support system. Listen, the person you ignore today will
[23:40] Speaker 1: become your strength tomorrow.
[23:42] Speaker 2: You must sustain the intelligence.
[23:44] Speaker 1: Use your strength and invest it in the future by
[23:48] Speaker 1: showing mercy to people.
[23:51] Speaker 2: After church, you are on your way going.
[23:52] Speaker 1: You see someone trekking. You can pick the person. Oh,
[23:55] Speaker 1: have you eaten? It doesn't have to be every day.
[23:58] Speaker 1: Let me do.
[23:58] Speaker 2: Something for you today. Who are you? You are a
[24:00] Speaker 2: member of household of David. Yes.
[24:02] Speaker 5: Yes.
[24:03] Speaker 1: And you are playing a message. Now the message you
[24:05] Speaker 1: are playing will make sense to the person because it's
[24:08] Speaker 1: coming forth from a life that is true. The purity
[24:11] Speaker 1: of your Christianity is affecting, is making the person believe
[24:15] Speaker 1: what he's hearing. And you leave the person with an impression.
[24:20] Speaker 1: What is your name, sir? My name is John. He
[24:23] Speaker 1: would write it in a diary and pray every day.
[24:26] Speaker 1: And after 10 years, do you know that I had
[24:30] Speaker 1: the honor and the privilege, my principal many years ago, sir,
[24:34] Speaker 1: one of the people who gave me a foundation of godliness,
[24:40] Speaker 1: I had to find a way of looking for him.
[24:43] Speaker 2: I searched for him and made sure that I blessed him.
[24:47] Speaker 1: And I told him, I said that they should tell
[24:49] Speaker 1: him that by God's grace, you have not seen anything,
[24:52] Speaker 1: provided I'm alive. Just know that you made a very
[24:56] Speaker 1: wise investment.
[24:58] Speaker 2: In believing in me and trusting me. Be careful who
[25:01] Speaker 2: you don't believe in.
[25:03] Speaker 1: Because sometimes you will be taking a risk. When you
[25:05] Speaker 1: don't believe in people and they still succeed, sometimes they
[25:10] Speaker 1: will go out of their way to teach you a
[25:13] Speaker 1: lesson that you may teach your children and your children's children.
[25:18] Speaker 2: This is what you get when you come to church.
[25:19] Speaker 2: The wisdom. Seeds of mercy.
[25:23] Speaker 1: Many people you will be merciful to will not recognize you.
[25:27] Speaker 1: Many of them will not even appreciate you. Many of
[25:30] Speaker 1: them will trivialize your impact.
[25:31] Speaker 2: Don't worry.
[25:32] Speaker 1: The seeds fell on different kinds of soil. Not every
[25:35] Speaker 1: soil is a bad soil. There will be a grateful mother.
[25:38] Speaker 1: There will be a grateful young lady. There will be
[25:40] Speaker 1: a grateful young man who will stand up one day
[25:43] Speaker 1: and say, I must do this. Is there any man
[25:47] Speaker 1: in the house of Saul that I may show kindness
[25:50] Speaker 1: for Jonathan's sake?
[25:53] Speaker 2: And that became the breakthrough of Mephibosheth.
[25:56] Speaker 1: Let us make this sacrifice for the sake of our
[25:58] Speaker 1: children and our children's children.
[26:01] Speaker 2: That you may not have any naira and cobalt, dollar.
[26:04] Speaker 1: And pound, but you have the richness, the investment of
[26:08] Speaker 1: a history that has lifted people. You cried with people
[26:12] Speaker 1: when they cried. You were there when they lost loved ones.
[26:16] Speaker 1: You didn't come asking questions. Where is your faith?
[26:19] Speaker 5: No.
[26:20] Speaker 1: You sit with them there and cry and say, it's
[26:22] Speaker 1: all right. God will help you one day. You will
[26:28] Speaker 1: come out of this.
[26:28] Speaker 2: Oh, I lost my father. I lost my mother. And
[26:32] Speaker 2: you run away. And then when they make it, you
[26:35] Speaker 2: come and budge into their future. No. No. Blow, blow,
[26:43] Speaker 2: blow like a mighty wind. Spirit of victory. Cover us in.
[26:55] Speaker 2: Listen to me.
[26:57] Speaker 1: Many of our loved ones today would have had opportunities
[27:03] Speaker 1: to be wealthy, to be blessed, but they misused precious
[27:09] Speaker 1: opportunities that God gave them to sow seeds of mercy.
[27:13] Speaker 1: There are people today who cannot walk down the street with.
[27:17] Speaker 2: Their heads lifted. You know why?
[27:20] Speaker 1: Because they misused the access, the opportunity that God gave
[27:24] Speaker 1: them to lift others.
[27:25] Speaker 2: Someone came and said, please, can you help me in school?
[27:29] Speaker 2: Please help me. My school fees. I love God.
[27:34] Speaker 1: You can come and donate even a billion naira in church,
[27:38] Speaker 1: which I commend. But then that person is your relative
[27:41] Speaker 1: and saying, please. Okay, don't give me the money. Give
[27:44] Speaker 1: me a job to do. Let me walk.
[27:46] Speaker 2: Say, no, get out of here.
[27:49] Speaker 1: And because the same Lord is rich unto all, God
[27:52] Speaker 1: will route another way. Then you find out, for instance,
[27:55] Speaker 1: that your own children now don't turn out to be
[27:57] Speaker 1: anything useful. And it's that same person who comes and
[28:01] Speaker 1: is standing by you on the sickbed. And your life
[28:04] Speaker 1: is full of memories of pain.
[28:06] Speaker 2: Please do not die in pain.
[28:08] Speaker 1: Don't go to your grave in pain because of unwise decisions.
[28:13] Speaker 1: God is giving us wisdom this morning.
[28:16] Speaker 2: Applicable wisdom.
[28:18] Speaker 1: That as you step out of here, one day you
[28:20] Speaker 1: can cook and just call everybody and say, you know what?
[28:24] Speaker 2: I don't have the resources to do it every day,
[28:26] Speaker 2: but I can do it once.
[28:29] Speaker 1: And you know, people are so self-centered today, pastor, that
[28:33] Speaker 1: anytime you are nice to people, they begin to suspect
[28:35] Speaker 1: there must be something. They ask, what are you looking for?
[28:39] Speaker 1: That's how wicked and self-centered our world are. You want
[28:45] Speaker 1: to be a Christian? It's not only by praying in tongues.
[28:49] Speaker 1: You want to be a Christian? It's not only by priesthood...
[28:52] Speaker 1: Of preaching... Of teaching... Of.
[28:55] Speaker 2: Cleaning chairs in the church alone.
[28:56] Speaker 1: Wonderful... But something about your life... The seeds of mercy...
[29:02] Speaker 1: I made up my mind... That by the grace of God...
[29:05] Speaker 1: I will fill my life experiences.
[29:08] Speaker 2: With.
[29:08] Speaker 1: Being there for people... With raising people... Not because I'm
[29:11] Speaker 1: looking for something in the future... But it is a
[29:13] Speaker 1: beautiful way to live... To know that you were there.
[29:17] Speaker 2: When.
[29:17] Speaker 1: Someone was crying... It was on your hands that their
[29:20] Speaker 1: tears dropped. That you are there for them. And you know,
[29:23] Speaker 1: let me say this respectfully. It's one of the blessedness
[29:28] Speaker 1: of our foundations. Many of us grew up from families
[29:32] Speaker 1: and religious contexts that they were not very open to.
[29:35] Speaker 2: The things of the spirit. But they will be there
[29:38] Speaker 2: for you. Someone dies. in one hour.
[29:41] Speaker 1: You see people singing praise and worship songs to your house.
[29:44] Speaker 2: They will sleep there. They will cry there.
[29:47] Speaker 1: You will not even know who was, who had the bereavement.
[29:50] Speaker 1: But our generation today, the moment you lose your job,
[29:53] Speaker 1: you lose whatever, everybody backs out. When God grants you breakthrough,
[29:58] Speaker 1: here they come again. Where were the friends of Job?
[30:02] Speaker 1: He was the richest man in the East. For a
[30:05] Speaker 1: while they were there with him. And then eventually they left.
[30:09] Speaker 1: And only his wife was there. And Job prayed and
[30:12] Speaker 1: prayed for his friends. And God restored his fortune. I
[30:17] Speaker 1: think chapter 42 and verse 10. And there all those
[30:20] Speaker 1: people began to come back again. Please be part of
[30:25] Speaker 1: the history of people. I give you a secret of
[30:28] Speaker 1: living a fruitful life. I show you an investment that
[30:32] Speaker 1: does not fail. Invest in the life of people rising,
[30:37] Speaker 1: not people who have risen. You are a man of God.
[30:42] Speaker 1: Do not ignore the young people who are in your church.
[30:45] Speaker 1: Those young people praying, they may make mistakes. It's better
[30:49] Speaker 1: that they make mistakes in your lifetime. You are correcting them.
[30:52] Speaker 1: You are seeing it there. Their pride, their foolishness, their zeal.
[30:56] Speaker 1: You can call them and say, look, I love you,
[30:58] Speaker 1: but it ought not to be so. Yes, the quiet
[31:00] Speaker 1: person is stubborn. Yes, the usher is not listening. It's
[31:04] Speaker 1: better they make the mistakes in your lifetime.
[31:10] Speaker 2: Are we together? Learn this from Jesus.
[31:14] Speaker 1: Mighty Jesus, emoji Jesus, comes to sit with little children.
[31:19] Speaker 1: And he says, let the little children come to me.
[31:24] Speaker 1: There are adults that are hated by children because they
[31:27] Speaker 1: have no sign of mercy. They are anointed, their ministry
[31:30] Speaker 1: is only to adults. When children hate you, it's a
[31:34] Speaker 1: sign from God that something is really wrong with your life.
[31:37] Speaker 1: I'm telling you this because they have the purest of heart.
[31:41] Speaker 1: If a child runs away from you unnecessarily, go for
[31:43] Speaker 1: a retreat. You would think I'm joking, but what I'm
[31:48] Speaker 1: saying is very, very serious. The purity of their heart.
[31:53] Speaker 1: Something about you should draw them to you. If children
[31:56] Speaker 1: come here now, they don't care who is preaching on stage.
[31:59] Speaker 1: They should be able to come and hold you and
[32:01] Speaker 1: hit you. And you don't just hit them and say,
[32:03] Speaker 1: I'm serious, I'm serving God.
[32:04] Speaker 2: You are like the priest here. and the Levite.
[32:08] Speaker 1: How many people have we ignored in an attempt to
[32:11] Speaker 1: serve God? The parable of the good Samaritan. Do you know,
[32:21] Speaker 1: let me tell you this for those of you in ministry.
[32:24] Speaker 1: Many of the people who will love you will not
[32:27] Speaker 1: just love you because of the accuracy of your teaching.
[32:30] Speaker 1: Many people who will love you will not only love
[32:33] Speaker 1: you because of miracles, signs and wonders. Let me tell you,
[32:36] Speaker 1: a majority of the people who will love you and
[32:39] Speaker 1: stake their life and their loyalty, they will love you because.
[32:43] Speaker 2: Of an experience you gave them in God.
[32:46] Speaker 1: Something that you did in their lives that will make
[32:49] Speaker 1: them vow and say, you will be my pastor for life.
[32:52] Speaker 1: We die together, we rise up together. It is not
[32:55] Speaker 1: just good preaching. It is not just good singing. Let
[32:59] Speaker 1: me tell you this. It is not even just good character.
[33:05] Speaker 1: You must do something that touches people. There are politicians today,
[33:10] Speaker 1: whether they are good or bad, they have edged themselves
[33:13] Speaker 1: in the history of people too much to turn against them.
[33:16] Speaker 1: How do you start fighting them? There's somebody you can
[33:24] Speaker 1: help today. Right from now, you can begin to build
[33:28] Speaker 1: pillars of mercy in your destiny. Listen, this is an
[33:31] Speaker 1: assignment I'm giving you. That after service, you begin to
[33:34] Speaker 1: say this is intentional. I will start doing this now.
[33:41] Speaker 2: Hello, how are you?
[33:43] Speaker 1: I know that things have not worked well.
[33:45] Speaker 2: I would transfer a little 10,000 now. Please, use that money.
[33:49] Speaker 1: Buy food for mama and let her know that it's
[33:52] Speaker 1: with love from me. The person will not say thank you.
[33:54] Speaker 1: And you say, this is what I hate. This is
[33:56] Speaker 1: why I hate giving.
[33:57] Speaker 2: Don't worry. You will reap what you sow, not where
[34:00] Speaker 2: you sow. Are we together?
[34:09] Speaker 1: Because I know that many of us are saying, Apostle,
[34:11] Speaker 1: I tried it before. You don't know my relatives. You
[34:13] Speaker 1: don't know where.
[34:13] Speaker 2: I come from. Seeds of mercy. Seeds of mercy.
[34:20] Speaker 1: The parable of the good Samaritan was a revelation to us.
[34:24] Speaker 1: That no matter what it is that we are doing,
[34:27] Speaker 1: God looks.
[34:28] Speaker 2: At our show of mercy. Be merciful.
[34:33] Speaker 1: Sow that seed of mercy. Find somebody who needs you.
[34:39] Speaker 1: And be there for them.
[34:41] Speaker 2: Pastors.
[34:42] Speaker 1: Don't just preach and use members to build churches. Love
[34:46] Speaker 1: them sincerely and be there for them. Members are first
[34:50] Speaker 1: human beings before congregants. Are we together? Many people will
[34:56] Speaker 1: tell you. I love this man but it is not
[34:58] Speaker 1: his message. I love that woman but it is not
[35:01] Speaker 1: their message. They look at that compassion. Someone asks me
[35:07] Speaker 1: and says.
[35:07] Speaker 2: Apostle.
[35:09] Speaker 1: You are always a busy person and what have you
[35:11] Speaker 1: really missed with all this lockdown? I said, I've not
[35:14] Speaker 1: missed the adults. I thank God for them, but they
[35:16] Speaker 1: have my teachings to listen to. The real people I've
[35:19] Speaker 1: missed are my children. That all these children just run
[35:23] Speaker 1: and come as soon as you say, may the grace
[35:25] Speaker 1: of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[35:26] Speaker 2: That's when their service starts. The love of God, the
[35:29] Speaker 2: fellowship of the Holy Spirit, rest and abide. They just run.
[35:32] Speaker 1: They don't care whether you heal the sick, you raise
[35:34] Speaker 1: someone from wheelchair, they will jump on you, dirty.
[35:37] Speaker 2: You, and you are the expression of Jesus to them.
[35:43] Speaker 1: They cry coming to church because they crave for something
[35:46] Speaker 1: about Christ they've seen in your life. While you are preaching,
[35:48] Speaker 1: they are sleeping. They absolutely don't care. But as soon
[35:51] Speaker 1: as the service is over, you are busy sweating.
[35:54] Speaker 2: They tap you and say, Daddy, I want Bobo.
[35:58] Speaker 1: And now you don't know God is using them to
[36:00] Speaker 1: remind you.
[36:01] Speaker 2: Don't strangle compassion because of ministry.
[36:07] Speaker 1: Don't be too adult that you forget the wisdom of
[36:10] Speaker 1: the childlike living.
[36:12] Speaker 2: Let me tell you this. It's God blessing us. We're
[36:20] Speaker 2: going to pray.
[36:20] Speaker 1: But that you should come for a church service and
[36:23] Speaker 1: live wiser. These are the priests. You see, the benefit
[36:27] Speaker 1: of what I'm teaching you will not be shown in
[36:29] Speaker 1: one year. It will not be shown in two years.
[36:31] Speaker 1: These are transgenerational mysteries. You're passing and someone's car spoils
[36:38] Speaker 1: and it's not like you're hurrying up going somewhere. You
[36:40] Speaker 1: pretend as if you didn't see it and you are
[36:42] Speaker 1: playing a powerful worship song. Oh, I will do anything for.
[36:46] Speaker 2: You, Jesus. My Jesus. My Jesus.
[36:49] Speaker 1: You died for me. And you passed someone. And you see,
[36:53] Speaker 1: this is why sometimes when God begins to bless and
[36:57] Speaker 1: lift people, you can't really see why he's doing it.
[37:00] Speaker 2: But they have a history.
[37:02] Speaker 1: And they've made God to covenant with himself and say,
[37:04] Speaker 1: this family will never beg for bread because of this.
[37:10] Speaker 1: Do you know no matter how powerful the sermon is
[37:12] Speaker 1: that I teach, after one year you may forget. You
[37:15] Speaker 1: may just remember a few points. No matter what happens
[37:18] Speaker 1: in a meeting and a conference, even if all of
[37:21] Speaker 1: you stand up now and float in the air and
[37:23] Speaker 1: sit down, it will be news only for a few months.
[37:26] Speaker 2: But the kindness and.
[37:28] Speaker 1: The compassion you show someone, that's not something that leaves
[37:31] Speaker 1: their mind.
[37:32] Speaker 2: They will go back home and think. They will learn lessons.
[37:36] Speaker 2: They will make vows.
[37:40] Speaker 1: Are we together? So God is answering someone's question. Apostle,
[37:46] Speaker 1: why don't people like me? Nobody cares about me. Why
[37:49] Speaker 1: should they? What seeds did you sow? It's fraud to
[37:52] Speaker 1: go to a farm where you didn't sow anything and
[37:54] Speaker 1: be complaining that there's no harvest. When people run away
[38:00] Speaker 1: from you and your personality is pungent to people, it's
[38:04] Speaker 1: a message. It's not always an attack. Who can love
[38:10] Speaker 1: you enough to say thank you for your preaching? Thank you,
[38:14] Speaker 1: you are a CEO. I don't love the CEO. I
[38:17] Speaker 1: don't just love the preacher. I love the person. If
[38:21] Speaker 1: people love your office, if people love your job alone,
[38:25] Speaker 1: if people love your talent and your skill alone, you
[38:29] Speaker 1: are in trouble.
[38:30] Speaker 2: Because those things are transient. They can come, they can go.
[38:33] Speaker 1: But when they love you, Not just for who you are,
[38:37] Speaker 1: but the disposition you have. You have so cultured yourself
[38:41] Speaker 1: after the principles of the kingdom. We love him because
[38:47] Speaker 1: he first gave himself for us. The love of God
[38:52] Speaker 1: revealed in that while we were yet sinners, in due
[38:55] Speaker 1: season Christ.
[38:56] Speaker 2: Died for us.
[38:58] Speaker 1: Go, he said, and do likewise. Household of David, the
[39:03] Speaker 1: body of Christ, listen to me.
[39:05] Speaker 2: It's an instruction. Go and do likewise. That it should
[39:10] Speaker 2: start right from this service.
[39:12] Speaker 1: That you can write a resolution that on this day,
[39:16] Speaker 1: at this wind of mercy conference, I make up my
[39:19] Speaker 1: mind that no 24 hour will pass without me looking
[39:23] Speaker 1: for someone to sow seeds of mercy. I do it
[39:27] Speaker 1: because I love God, but I do it also because
[39:30] Speaker 1: It's a fail proof investment. My children will eat from it.
[39:33] Speaker 1: My children's children will eat from it. When you invest
[39:40] Speaker 1: in real estate. You have done well. But the land
[39:44] Speaker 1: cannot say thank you. Someone can even collect the land
[39:46] Speaker 1: from you.
[39:48] Speaker 2: Right?
[39:48] Speaker 1: Right? When you invest in shares and put your money
[39:51] Speaker 1: in another company, wonderful. The shares can rise, you can
[39:55] Speaker 1: make money, you can also lose money. But when you
[39:58] Speaker 1: invest in men, they are like mobile ATMs. Everybody will
[40:02] Speaker 1: not fail.
[40:07] Speaker 2: Hallelujah. So make up your mind this morning.
[40:15] Speaker 1: That by the Spirit of God, the self-centeredness, the hatred,
[40:20] Speaker 1: the bitterness, I will never forgive you till I die,
[40:24] Speaker 1: till Jesus comes. And you are even talking about heaven.
[40:27] Speaker 1: When I'm in heaven, even when I see you, how
[40:29] Speaker 1: are you sure you are going to get there with
[40:31] Speaker 1: that kind of attitude?
[40:32] Speaker 2: You see how we behave.
[40:33] Speaker 1: You want the gate of heaven to open for you
[40:35] Speaker 1: with your attitude so that.
[40:37] Speaker 2: You will enter.
[40:41] Speaker 1: Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
[40:47] Speaker 2: Are you ready to pray? Rise up on your feet.
[40:56] Speaker 4: You are beautiful in all your ways. You are beautiful
[41:15] Speaker 4: In all your ways.
[41:23] Speaker 2: One more time. You are beautiful.
[41:29] Speaker 4: In all your ways.
[41:32] Speaker 5: Hallelujah.
[41:38] Speaker 2: Two prayer points. And we're done for this first service.
[41:43] Speaker 1: I'd like you to declare, Father, plant a seed in
[41:46] Speaker 1: me that grants me the grace to.
[41:48] Speaker 2: Show mercy and compassion. Let that seed be planted in me.
[41:53] Speaker 2: Are you praying?
[41:54] Speaker 1: Lift your voice and begin to pray. I came to
[41:58] Speaker 1: church this morning to learn. I came to church to
[42:00] Speaker 1: receive wisdom. That more than my priesthood, more than being
[42:08] Speaker 1: a Levite, I must become a conduit of mercy. A
[42:13] Speaker 1: conduit of compassion. A conduit of mercy. More than my gifts.
[42:19] Speaker 1: More than my job. More than my skill. Go and
[42:26] Speaker 1: do likewise. Go and do likewise. Go and do likewise.
[42:34] Speaker 1: Go and help likewise. Go and support likewise. Go and
[42:41] Speaker 1: be there likewise. Go and lift likewise. Go and invest
[42:48] Speaker 1: in men likewise.
[42:52] Speaker 5: Hallelujah.
[43:04] Speaker 2: Now look up.
[43:08] Speaker 1: You are going to pray. And say, Father, take away unforgiveness.
[43:14] Speaker 1: Take away bitterness. All of these attributes that choke our spirits,
[43:20] Speaker 1: they don't look obvious, but they are dangerous. They will
[43:23] Speaker 1: strangle the anointing from your life. They will.
[43:29] Speaker 2: Create haziness in hearing the voice of God.
[43:32] Speaker 1: Clean my heart, oh God, and let me be in
[43:35] Speaker 1: a position where I can love and show mercy. I'm
[43:38] Speaker 1: desperate to experience the reality of the life of God.
[43:41] Speaker 1: And I take away these encumbrances that stand between me
[43:45] Speaker 1: and my intimacy with the Spirit.
[43:47] Speaker 2: Lift your voice and begin to pray. In the name
[43:49] Speaker 2: of Jesus. In the name of Jesus.
[43:54] Speaker 1: Apostle, I bless my family members.
[44:01] Speaker 2: They didn't appreciate me. Let it go. Let it go.
[44:05] Speaker 2: God is the rewarder. God is the rewarder.
[44:08] Speaker 1: Apostle, I bless my members and they are not there
[44:11] Speaker 1: to appreciate me. In the name of Jesus. Apostle, I
[44:18] Speaker 1: support my husband. I support my wife. I support my children.
[44:23] Speaker 1: They are not appreciative. In the name of Jesus, continue
[44:27] Speaker 1: that which you do. The Bible says to not be
[44:29] Speaker 1: wary in well-doing. It says, for we will reap in
[44:32] Speaker 1: due season if we fail not.
[44:40] Speaker 5: Hallelujah.
[44:46] Speaker 1: Praise the Lord. We have five more minutes. We'll have
[44:50] Speaker 1: one more prayer and then I'll speak over your life.
[44:53] Speaker 1: You are going to pray. Some of us have made
[44:57] Speaker 1: mistakes of neglecting to sow seeds of mercy in the past.
[45:02] Speaker 1: As it is right now, there is nobody in your
[45:05] Speaker 1: life who thinks you are a blessing enough for them
[45:08] Speaker 1: to stake their life to support you.
[45:09] Speaker 2: It's a risk.
[45:10] Speaker 1: You cannot live in today's world that way. If you
[45:13] Speaker 1: don't help yourself, you are gone. Nobody can help you.
[45:17] Speaker 1: If your hands are tied, you are finished. Nobody can say,
[45:20] Speaker 1: I remember you. If no one can trace you to
[45:23] Speaker 1: their lifting, you are in trouble. But the beautiful thing
[45:27] Speaker 1: about seeds is you can start where you are. He
[45:30] Speaker 1: told Abraham, from where thou art, lift up your eyes.
[45:33] Speaker 1: So it's a lesson. We are going to pray. Because
[45:36] Speaker 1: if you look back, there is no life you have raised.
[45:39] Speaker 1: There is nobody you have helped. You've not sown seeds
[45:43] Speaker 1: to anybody's life. Nobody has gone to school because you
[45:46] Speaker 1: are alive. Nobody has known Jesus because you are alive.
[45:49] Speaker 1: No discouraged person has found strength because you are alive.
[45:52] Speaker 1: Nobody could complete his rent because you got a job.
[45:56] Speaker 2: It's too risky. It's too risky.
[46:00] Speaker 1: You are going to pray. Lord, by your spirit. Bring
[46:03] Speaker 1: people who are worthy of help. Don't just pray and say,
[46:08] Speaker 1: send helpers for me. Be the helper first. Grace to
[46:12] Speaker 1: raise people. Grace to sow seeds of mercy. Lord, bring
[46:17] Speaker 1: the people that I can begin to invest in.
[46:20] Speaker 2: It may not be monitoring. It may be an advice.
[46:25] Speaker 2: It may be a revelation.
[46:26] Speaker 1: You help someone to strengthen their relationship with Jesus. You
[46:30] Speaker 1: help someone to find their skills. You must edge the impact.
[46:36] Speaker 1: I show you a powerful secret this morning that your
[46:40] Speaker 1: 10 years can be secured. Your 20 years can be
[46:44] Speaker 1: secured because like the good Samaritan, do you think that
[46:50] Speaker 1: certain man When he becomes healed, when he becomes strong,
[46:55] Speaker 1: will he ever forget the good Samaritan?
[46:59] Speaker 2: Hallelujah. Listen.
[47:05] Speaker 1: I remember someone sending me a text one time and said, Apostle,
[47:12] Speaker 1: I don't call you father just because of your spiritual
[47:16] Speaker 1: impact in my life.
[47:19] Speaker 2: I lost my father many years ago. He was saved.
[47:22] Speaker 1: But you have held my hand and you have helped
[47:24] Speaker 1: me and done everything a father should do. I remember
[47:28] Speaker 1: crying that night reading that text. I'm not a very
[47:31] Speaker 1: emotional person. But there are text messages that touch me. Apostle,
[47:35] Speaker 1: you're a mighty man of God. Lord, take the glory.
[47:38] Speaker 1: And I turn and face my walk. Apostle, I got
[47:41] Speaker 1: healed after your prayer.
[47:42] Speaker 2: Wonderful.
[47:43] Speaker 1: But Apostle, thank you for changing my life. While I
[47:48] Speaker 1: was crying, you were there. Now, that is what breaks me.
[47:52] Speaker 1: And I just sit there and say, Lord, thank you.
[47:54] Speaker 1: That if I die today, my only regret will be
[47:57] Speaker 1: that I didn't finish my assignment. But let it be
[48:00] Speaker 1: that I can still live in those.
[48:02] Speaker 2: Who are alive.
[48:03] Speaker 1: Like Abel, though dead, yet speaking. It is not just
[48:07] Speaker 1: the longevity of your living, but the quality. People can
[48:11] Speaker 1: carry you in their minds. They carry you in their memories.
[48:15] Speaker 1: Their books are full of your name. They never say
[48:19] Speaker 1: anything about your life without mentioning your impact.
[48:23] Speaker 2: Truthfully so. They will teach their children. Any day you
[48:28] Speaker 2: see this man and see his children, bless him.
[48:33] Speaker 1: I pray for you. In the name of Jesus, the
[48:36] Speaker 1: son of the living God. The grace to walk in
[48:39] Speaker 1: the wisdom that mercy provides. May that grace be released
[48:44] Speaker 1: upon you.
[48:47] Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus.
[48:49] Speaker 1: That the lesson that we have learned from the good Samaritan.
[48:54] Speaker 1: This parable that Jesus gave. May you not make the
[48:57] Speaker 1: mistake of the priest. May you not make the mistake
[49:01] Speaker 1: of the Levite. In the name of Jesus. May your
[49:04] Speaker 1: life be full of investments of mercy and compassion. May
[49:09] Speaker 1: your days be full of investments of mercy and compassion.
[49:13] Speaker 2: May your children eat from it.
[49:16] Speaker 1: May those connected to you eat from it.
[49:18] Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus. Christ. And I pray for you.
[49:22] Speaker 2: Listen to me.
[49:24] Speaker 1: For those of you who have made the mistake of
[49:27] Speaker 1: sowing trouble in your future by the way you have
[49:30] Speaker 1: treated people in the past. By the way you have
[49:33] Speaker 1: treated families in the past. By the things you have
[49:37] Speaker 1: said about people. The things you have done to people.
[49:40] Speaker 1: Some of you they are your parents. Some of you
[49:43] Speaker 1: they are your relatives. Some of them they are men
[49:45] Speaker 1: and women of God. Some of them they are your pastors.
[49:48] Speaker 1: They are your leaders.
[49:49] Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus.
[49:51] Speaker 1: The tragedy that you have programmed to happen in your future.
[49:55] Speaker 1: We intersect with the mercy of God. Let it not
[49:58] Speaker 1: come to pass. That the things.
[50:01] Speaker 4: Listen.
[50:02] Speaker 1: The things that people have said in anger because of
[50:05] Speaker 1: something you may have done. In the name of Jesus Christ,
[50:09] Speaker 1: may the mercy of God intercept for you. Your children
[50:13] Speaker 1: will not be victims of any speaking that was against you.
[50:18] Speaker 1: And I pray for you. There are people here who
[50:21] Speaker 1: are suffering the wickedness. The Bible says that the fathers
[50:26] Speaker 1: have sinned and how did he put the scripture?
[50:31] Speaker 2: Yes.
[50:34] Speaker 1: There are families here. You even had to change your surname.
[50:39] Speaker 1: Because the names seem to be padlocks. And when they
[50:43] Speaker 1: identify you with that name and that family, it comes
[50:46] Speaker 1: with memories.
[50:48] Speaker 2: They say, which one? Which of these names? The one
[50:50] Speaker 2: I know? Yes, you will not get this job again.
[50:52] Speaker 2: Not when I'm alive. I pray for you.
[50:54] Speaker 1: Everything around your foundation. That has come as a result
[50:59] Speaker 1: of the ill doings of people. And you have been
[51:02] Speaker 1: connected through it by bloodline. At this mercy conference. Let
[51:05] Speaker 1: the blood speak for you. In the name of Jesus.
[51:09] Speaker 1: Let the blood speak for you. Every door that has
[51:12] Speaker 1: been closed. Because seeds of mercy were not sown in
[51:14] Speaker 1: the past.
[51:15] Speaker 2: We declare again.
[51:17] Speaker 1: May God give you a fresh start. By the power
[51:20] Speaker 1: of the Holy Spirit. You leave this service. And in
[51:23] Speaker 1: the name of Jesus. You will begin to command extraordinary results.
[51:27] Speaker 1: In the name of Jesus Christ. Lift your hands and
[51:30] Speaker 1: give Jesus praise.
