[4:49] Speaker 1: We have come to encounter your wisdom and to encounter grace.
[4:54] Speaker 1: Take us to heights unimagined tonight. May your word come
[4:58] Speaker 1: with fire and may it transform our lives. For in
[5:03] Speaker 1: Jesus' name we pray. God bless you. Please be seated.
[5:07] Speaker 1: You are welcome in the name of Jesus Christ. All
[5:10] Speaker 1: those who are connecting with us, Azaria family and our
[5:16] Speaker 1: global family, we thank you and I pray that the
[5:18] Speaker 1: Lord will bless us in Jesus' name. While I sat
[5:22] Speaker 1: back there, the Lord just ministered something to my heart
[5:25] Speaker 1: and I thought to just encourage us. Listen, I give
[5:29] Speaker 1: you a guarantee in the name of Jesus Christ that
[5:32] Speaker 1: if you listen to what you are learning week after
[5:36] Speaker 1: week and you submit yourself truly to the truth that
[5:42] Speaker 1: is being communicated here, I give you a guarantee by
[5:45] Speaker 1: the authority of scripture that your life will be a
[5:48] Speaker 1: sign and a wonder. First to you and then to
[5:52] Speaker 1: everybody around you.
[5:53] Speaker 3: Hallelujah.
[5:56] Speaker 1: We are made in this kingdom out of the abundance
[5:59] Speaker 1: of the mysteries of the kingdom we have access to. Hallelujah.
[6:03] Speaker 1: And it is the assignment of The shepherds to build,
[6:09] Speaker 1: to mature God's people. According to Jeremiah 3 and verse 15,
[6:15] Speaker 1: I will give you pastors or shepherds according to my heart.
[6:20] Speaker 1: The Bible says they shall feed you. So what you
[6:24] Speaker 1: are receiving is feeding. It's more than an information that
[6:28] Speaker 1: is entering your ears. It's an information that is entering
[6:31] Speaker 1: your spirit and framing your reality. Hallelujah. They will feed
[6:36] Speaker 1: you with knowledge and with understanding. Hallelujah. Tonight the word
[6:43] Speaker 1: of God is coming with power to purge and build us.
[6:47] Speaker 1: I pray earnestly for tonight's teaching. It is a teaching
[6:50] Speaker 1: for the body of Christ. And I want you to
[6:54] Speaker 1: please listen. Do not allow yourself to be distracted tonight.
[6:58] Speaker 1: Listen from start to finish because I believe that this
[7:02] Speaker 1: is one of those teachings tonight That you will praise
[7:06] Speaker 1: God for. And it will build your capacity in the spirit.
[7:10] Speaker 1: For a very long time. In the name of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
[7:16] Speaker 1: I'm teaching on the purified church. The purified church. Tonight
[7:24] Speaker 1: God is coming to us as a refiner's fire. To
[7:27] Speaker 1: build us and to give us capacity.
[7:30] Speaker 2: And stamina.
[7:32] Speaker 1: Even in the spirit. The purified church. God is going
[7:37] Speaker 1: to be commending us. He's going to be challenging us.
[7:41] Speaker 1: And the word of God is going to be building
[7:43] Speaker 1: us in the name of Jesus.
[7:45] Speaker 3: Hallelujah.
[7:47] Speaker 1: I want to start this teaching tonight with three very
[7:51] Speaker 1: important information. Number one. Jesus is coming back. And he's
[7:58] Speaker 1: coming back soon. That is the first information. you would
[8:03] Speaker 1: be surprised that many people have forgotten this thing i
[8:07] Speaker 1: just said jesus is coming back and he's coming soon
[8:12] Speaker 1: revelations 1 and verse 7 please let's hurry up we
[8:15] Speaker 1: have a lot to cover tonight behold he cometh with
[8:19] Speaker 1: clouds and every eye shall see him and they also
[8:24] Speaker 1: which pierced him And all kindreds of the earth shall
[8:28] Speaker 1: wail because of him, even so. Amen. So the Bible
[8:32] Speaker 1: tells us assuredly that Jesus Christ is returning. He's one
[8:36] Speaker 1: of the cardinal pillars of the Christian faith. The imminent
[8:41] Speaker 1: return of Jesus. You are not a complete Christian if
[8:45] Speaker 1: you do not believe. That Jesus is coming. It's not
[8:48] Speaker 1: enough to believe he came the first time. It's not
[8:50] Speaker 1: enough to believe that he died. You must believe that
[8:53] Speaker 1: he's coming again. Revelations 22 verse 12. Then we go
[8:58] Speaker 1: to verse 20. The Bible says, And behold, I come quickly.
[9:03] Speaker 1: Jesus himself is speaking. And my reward is with me
[9:07] Speaker 1: to give every man according as his works shall be.
[9:11] Speaker 2: Verse 20.
[9:11] Speaker 1: Verse 20. He which testified this thing said, Surely I
[9:17] Speaker 1: come quickly. Amen. Even so come, Lord Jesus. Last scripture
[9:23] Speaker 1: to establish that point. Acts chapter 1 from verse 10
[9:27] Speaker 1: to 11.
[9:28] Speaker 2: This is Jesus being lifted.
[9:30] Speaker 1: To the heavens. And the Bible says, While they looked
[9:33] Speaker 1: steadfastly towards heaven, As he went up, behold, two men
[9:38] Speaker 1: stood by them in white apparel.
[9:40] Speaker 2: 11.
[9:42] Speaker 1: Which also said, ye men of Galilee, why stand ye
[9:46] Speaker 1: gazing into heaven? This same Jesus. Now, not another one.
[9:51] Speaker 1: This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven.
[9:56] Speaker 2: He shall come in like manner. In like manner.
[9:59] Speaker 1: Means the way you saw him go up, that is
[10:02] Speaker 1: the way he is going to come back. The way
[10:04] Speaker 1: nothing resisted him from going up, that is the same
[10:07] Speaker 1: way nothing will resist him from coming back. Are we together? So,
[10:11] Speaker 1: fact number one for tonight's teaching is that Jesus is
[10:15] Speaker 1: coming back and he is coming soon. Facts number 2,
[10:20] Speaker 1: Ephesians chapter 5 and verse 26 to 27. There is
[10:25] Speaker 1: a kind of church and a kind of bride that
[10:29] Speaker 1: he's coming back for. The Bible says that he might
[10:32] Speaker 1: sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by
[10:37] Speaker 1: the word.
[10:38] Speaker 2: 27 please.
[10:40] Speaker 1: It says that he might present it to himself, a
[10:44] Speaker 1: glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing,
[10:50] Speaker 1: but that it should be holy and without blemish. So
[10:55] Speaker 1: he's coming, fact number one. Fact number two, he's just
[10:59] Speaker 1: not coming for any kind of person. There is a
[11:02] Speaker 1: kind of church, there is a kind of believer he's
[11:06] Speaker 1: coming for.
[11:06] Speaker 2: Are we clear on that?
[11:08] Speaker 1: Number three, It is the assignment of the five-fold ministry
[11:14] Speaker 1: to help build and mature the body of Christ to
[11:18] Speaker 1: be efficient even as we await his coming. It is
[11:22] Speaker 1: the assignment of the five-fold, the five-fold ministry now, to
[11:27] Speaker 1: help build and mature the body to be efficient.
[11:33] Speaker 2: Even as we await his coming.
[11:35] Speaker 1: You find that in Ephesians chapter 4 from 11... To 16.
[11:41] Speaker 1: He gave some apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. It says
[11:49] Speaker 1: for the perfecting, the maturing of the saints, for the
[11:52] Speaker 1: work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body
[11:55] Speaker 1: of Christ.
[11:56] Speaker 2: Next verse.
[11:57] Speaker 1: Till we come into the unity of the faith. And
[12:00] Speaker 1: of the knowledge of the son of God. Unto a
[12:03] Speaker 1: perfect man the Bible says. Unto the measure of the
[12:07] Speaker 1: stature of the fullness of Christ. 14.
[12:09] Speaker 2: It says that we henceforth be no more children.
[12:13] Speaker 1: Tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind
[12:17] Speaker 1: of doctrine. By the slight of men. And cunning craftiness
[12:22] Speaker 1: wherein they lie to deceive. Next verse. He says, but
[12:25] Speaker 1: speaking the truth in love, we may grow up into
[12:28] Speaker 1: him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
[12:32] Speaker 2: The last verse now. He says, from whom the whole
[12:35] Speaker 2: body fitly joined.
[12:36] Speaker 1: Together and compacted by that which every joint supplied, according
[12:41] Speaker 1: to the effectual working in the measure of every part,
[12:46] Speaker 1: make it increase of the body unto the edifying of
[12:50] Speaker 1: itself in love. So that Jesus is coming again. He's
[12:56] Speaker 1: coming back and he's coming soon. Number two, that he's
[13:00] Speaker 1: coming for a kind of church. And the Bible says
[13:03] Speaker 1: that church as a bride should be without spot or wrinkle.
[13:08] Speaker 1: And then the next verse, it is the mandate. That
[13:11] Speaker 1: means anyone who is truly called by God to function
[13:16] Speaker 1: within the scope of the fivefold church. contained in your
[13:20] Speaker 1: strategy for building believers must be a template a teaching
[13:26] Speaker 1: resources that help the body to become inexperienced that purified
[13:33] Speaker 1: bride that purified church are we together hallelujah now the
[13:39] Speaker 1: next thing i want you to know i'm russian because
[13:41] Speaker 1: there is a lot for us to cover the next
[13:44] Speaker 1: thing i want you to know is that the way
[13:47] Speaker 1: listen carefully The way the Lord purifies and matures His
[13:52] Speaker 1: church is by commendation and correction. The way that the
[13:59] Speaker 1: Lord purifies and matures His church is by a blend
[14:05] Speaker 1: of commendation and correction. When God builds and purifies His bride,
[14:12] Speaker 1: He does it by commending the bride and And commanding
[14:17] Speaker 1: the church where they do well and get it right.
[14:21] Speaker 1: And then correcting and pointing areas to them that they
[14:25] Speaker 1: need to make adjustments in. Philippians 1 and verse 3.
[14:29] Speaker 2: Now watch this.
[14:30] Speaker 1: He said, I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.
[14:35] Speaker 2: Verse 4.
[14:37] Speaker 1: It says, always in prayer of mine for you, making
[14:41] Speaker 1: requests with joy.
[14:43] Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
[14:45] Speaker 1: For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day
[14:48] Speaker 1: until now. Apostle Paul is commending the church now. Verse 6.
[14:53] Speaker 1: Being confident of this very thing he said. That he
[14:57] Speaker 1: which had begun a good work. What kind of work?
[15:00] Speaker 1: A good work in you. He said he will perform
[15:04] Speaker 1: it unto the day of Jesus Christ. You can stop there.
[15:08] Speaker 1: So Paul is commending them. And he's saying that every
[15:11] Speaker 1: time he remembers them. He's blessing God for them. Because
[15:15] Speaker 1: that they are walking in truth. And that he's confident
[15:19] Speaker 1: that that which is commended unto God. That he's able
[15:23] Speaker 1: to keep. He's expressing joy and commendation. Now let's go
[15:27] Speaker 1: to Hebrews chapter 12 from verse 11. Same Paul, Hebrews 12.
[15:33] Speaker 1: The Bible says, now, no chastening for the present. From
[15:39] Speaker 1: verse 5, please. 5 to 11. 5 to 11. It says,
[15:44] Speaker 1: and ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you
[15:48] Speaker 1: as children, my son. Despise not the chastening of the Lord.
[15:53] Speaker 1: Someone say the chastening of the Lord. Nor faint when
[15:57] Speaker 1: thou art rebuked. The word faint there is don't be discouraged.
[16:01] Speaker 1: He's encouraging you that in your journey, in your walk
[16:05] Speaker 1: with God, there are times he will correct you, he
[16:07] Speaker 1: will rebuke you. That when that happens, do not take
[16:11] Speaker 1: offense in it. It is part of his structure for
[16:14] Speaker 1: maturing you. Is someone learning now?
[16:17] Speaker 2: He says.
[16:18] Speaker 1: nor faint when thou are rebuked of him. We're reading
[16:21] Speaker 1: to 11. It says, for whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth,
[16:26] Speaker 1: and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. That means the
[16:31] Speaker 1: chastening of the Lord is a sign of acceptance. That
[16:35] Speaker 1: he loves you and he wants you to stand to last,
[16:37] Speaker 1: to finish strong. He said, if ye endure chastening, God
[16:42] Speaker 1: dealeth with you as with sons. For what son is
[16:46] Speaker 1: he whom the father chasteneth not? He's asking a question.
[16:49] Speaker 1: Verse 8. Reading to 11. But if ye be without chastisement,
[16:54] Speaker 1: whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards. The word
[16:59] Speaker 1: bastard there.
[17:00] Speaker 2: Is not an insult.
[17:01] Speaker 1: It means you are one who is not under the
[17:03] Speaker 1: mentorship of a father. It's as though there is nobody
[17:06] Speaker 1: who builds you, who shapes you.
[17:09] Speaker 2: It says, and you are not sons. Verse 9.
[17:12] Speaker 1: Furthermore, we have had fathers in our flesh which corrected
[17:18] Speaker 1: us and we gave them reverence. Shall we not much
[17:22] Speaker 1: rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits and leave?
[17:27] Speaker 2: Verse 10.
[17:29] Speaker 1: For they verily for a few days chastened us after
[17:32] Speaker 1: their own pleasure. But he for our profit. So chastening
[17:37] Speaker 1: is for your profit. That we might be partakers of
[17:40] Speaker 1: his holiness. The last verse please. It says now. No
[17:44] Speaker 1: chastening for the present. Seemed to be joyous. But grievous.
[17:50] Speaker 1: Nevertheless afterwards. It yielded the peaceable fruit. Of righteousness unto them.
[17:58] Speaker 1: Which are exercised thereby.
[18:01] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[18:02] Speaker 1: So we see that in Paul's apostolic ministry, he helped
[18:06] Speaker 1: the church get matured, not only by teaching them the
[18:09] Speaker 1: mysteries of the kingdom, but he was very careful to
[18:13] Speaker 1: watch over them and to commend them where commendation was
[18:17] Speaker 1: needed and to chastise or to correct them where chastisement
[18:22] Speaker 1: was needed. In Revelation chapter 2, please give us.
[18:25] Speaker 2: From verse 1. John was caught up in the Isle
[18:29] Speaker 2: of Patmos.
[18:30] Speaker 1: And he had an encounter with Jesus, the resurrected Christ,
[18:34] Speaker 1: now in his glorified state. And he was asked to
[18:37] Speaker 1: write a letter to the seven churches. Now, theologically speaking,
[18:41] Speaker 1: there were seven churches in Asia Minor.
[18:43] Speaker 2: But it was a prophetic.
[18:45] Speaker 1: Representation of the entire church. Are we together? We are
[18:49] Speaker 1: going to take just two of the churches to study
[18:52] Speaker 1: the character of how God purifies his church.
[18:55] Speaker 2: Are we together? On to the angel of the church
[18:58] Speaker 2: in Ephesus. Right.
[19:01] Speaker 1: This thing said he that holdeth the seven stars in
[19:05] Speaker 1: his right hand. Who walketh in the midst of the
[19:08] Speaker 1: seven golden candles.
[19:10] Speaker 2: Next verse. I know thy works. Now, are you seeing now?
[19:15] Speaker 1: I know thy works and thy labor and thy patience.
[19:19] Speaker 1: How and how thou canst not bear them which are evil.
[19:24] Speaker 1: And thou hast tried them which say they are apostles
[19:27] Speaker 1: and are not. And hast found them liars. And has
[19:30] Speaker 1: borne and has patience and for my name's sake has
[19:34] Speaker 1: labored and has not fainted. Are you seeing that he
[19:38] Speaker 1: started by commending them? That listen, I am not unaware
[19:42] Speaker 1: of your sacrifice. I see your diligence and everything that
[19:46] Speaker 1: you do for the kingdom. Then he says, nevertheless. i
[19:50] Speaker 1: have somewhat against thee because thou has left your first
[19:54] Speaker 1: love remember therefore from whence thou has fallen and repent
[20:01] Speaker 1: and do the first works or else i will come
[20:04] Speaker 1: on to you quickly and i will remove thy candlestick
[20:08] Speaker 1: out of his place except you repent verse 6 it
[20:12] Speaker 1: says but this thou has that thou hatest the deeds
[20:16] Speaker 1: of the nicolaitans which i also hate 7 He that
[20:21] Speaker 1: hath an ear, he says, let him hear what the
[20:23] Speaker 1: Spirit sayeth to the churches. To him that overcometh, I
[20:27] Speaker 1: will give to eat of the tree of life, which
[20:29] Speaker 1: is in the midst of the paradise of God. Now,
[20:34] Speaker 1: he goes to the next church, the church in Smyrna.
[20:37] Speaker 1: He says, these things sayeth the first and the last,
[20:42] Speaker 1: which was dead and is alive. Verse 9, I know
[20:46] Speaker 1: thy works. and tribulation, and poverty, but thou art rich.
[20:52] Speaker 1: And I know the blasphemy of them which say they
[20:54] Speaker 1: are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogues
[20:58] Speaker 1: of Satan.
[20:58] Speaker 2: So he commends them now.
[21:00] Speaker 1: He says, fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer. Behold,
[21:06] Speaker 1: the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that
[21:09] Speaker 1: ye may be tried. And ye shall have tribulation ten days.
[21:14] Speaker 1: He says, be thou faithful unto death. And I will
[21:17] Speaker 1: give thee a crown of life. The last verse, verse 11.
[21:20] Speaker 1: He says, he that hath an ear, let him hear
[21:24] Speaker 1: what the Spirit sayeth to the churches. And he that
[21:27] Speaker 1: overcometh shall not be hurt by the second death. Are
[21:30] Speaker 1: we together now? So you see that the character of
[21:33] Speaker 1: Jesus Christ in dealing with The church is that he
[21:39] Speaker 1: would comment appropriately and then he would correct.
[21:44] Speaker 2: Please look up.
[21:45] Speaker 1: This already is a template for every man of God
[21:50] Speaker 1: and every leader to use in dealing with people. That
[21:54] Speaker 1: means when you want to build a mature people, please
[21:58] Speaker 1: let me have your attention. The first thing is that
[22:01] Speaker 1: you must be lavish to correct them. But you must
[22:05] Speaker 1: also be very lavish to commend them. When your ministry
[22:09] Speaker 1: and your mentorship structure is only full of commendation and commendation,
[22:15] Speaker 1: you are going to raise a people that are weak
[22:18] Speaker 1: and will not sustain power and stamina. Your vision, your ministry,
[22:23] Speaker 1: your organization will be full of flattery and lies. But
[22:27] Speaker 1: then on the flip side of it, if your ministry
[22:30] Speaker 1: is all about judgment and correction and rebuke and pointing
[22:34] Speaker 1: fingers at people, you are going to produce a discouraged people.
[22:39] Speaker 1: Are we together now? Because when you stretch the human
[22:42] Speaker 1: spirit beyond certain boundaries, they become discouraged. There are parents
[22:48] Speaker 1: today who are produced in quote what we call spoiled children.
[22:52] Speaker 1: And the way they did that was by living a
[22:55] Speaker 1: life that is full of commendation with no structure for
[22:59] Speaker 1: improvement and rebuke. Whether the child is good or bad,
[23:03] Speaker 1: that's it. They just love like that. And then there
[23:06] Speaker 1: are those who produce children who are full of bitterness
[23:11] Speaker 1: and offense and anger because their entire lives, even when
[23:15] Speaker 1: the children were giving their very best, it seemed like
[23:19] Speaker 1: the best was never enough. So good mentorship therefore. And
[23:24] Speaker 1: that which makes for maturity and stature. Must be a
[23:27] Speaker 1: healthy blend.
[23:28] Speaker 2: Are we learning already? Of commendation and love.
[23:33] Speaker 1: Any ministry that focuses on just commendation without building and
[23:39] Speaker 1: maturing the saints and chastising them if and when the
[23:43] Speaker 1: need arises will produce a lopsided and a very weak believer.
[23:48] Speaker 1: But then any ministry that is full of judgment and
[23:52] Speaker 1: pointing fingers and leadership also, you will not be able
[23:55] Speaker 1: to produce a matured people.
[23:58] Speaker 2: So in dealing with this.
[24:00] Speaker 1: Very sensitive subject of the purified church. It is important
[24:04] Speaker 1: for us to understand that to get it right, we
[24:08] Speaker 1: must adopt the template that was used by the apostle
[24:12] Speaker 1: and the template that was used by Jesus himself. According
[24:17] Speaker 1: to Ephesians chapter 5 and verse 1, it says we
[24:20] Speaker 1: should be imitators of God. Be imitators of God. Some
[24:24] Speaker 1: versions say be followers of God. As their children. That
[24:28] Speaker 1: means as you have seen him do and act. Do likewise.
[24:32] Speaker 1: 1 Peter chapter 2 and 21, I believe, it says
[24:36] Speaker 1: we should follow in his steps. The last sentence, it
[24:39] Speaker 1: says that we should follow in his steps. That means
[24:42] Speaker 1: the way he made the church mature is the way
[24:45] Speaker 1: we can make the church within our territory mature by
[24:49] Speaker 1: a healthy combination of commendation and then chastisement and rebuke. Hallelujah.
[24:57] Speaker 2: Praise the name of the Lord.
[24:59] Speaker 1: Now, while this message is Concerns the church universal. The
[25:03] Speaker 1: global church. My focus particularly. Is for the church in Africa.
[25:10] Speaker 1: And then the church in Nigeria. Hallelujah. We owe it
[25:14] Speaker 1: to contribute. To the maturity. And the purification of the church.
[25:19] Speaker 1: Within our territory. Now the church in Nigeria. The church
[25:25] Speaker 1: in Africa. Has contributed greatly. In many, many ways, we
[25:31] Speaker 1: thank God for the privilege of the many things that
[25:35] Speaker 1: the church has done. Among them, the church in Nigeria
[25:40] Speaker 1: and even in Africa, in many regards, have been the
[25:44] Speaker 1: trailblazers in terms of revival across the nations. God himself
[25:50] Speaker 1: by his spirit has raised fathers even within this nation.
[25:55] Speaker 1: Many of us grew up in the midst of seasons
[25:58] Speaker 1: of strategic revivals. There were great people like Reinhard Bonnke
[26:02] Speaker 1: of late. Great people who came into this nation and
[26:05] Speaker 1: across the African continent. Because of the presence of these people.
[26:11] Speaker 1: Men like Archbishop.
[26:14] Speaker 2: Idahosa.
[26:15] Speaker 1: Hallelujah benson idahosa these people spearheaded very tremendous levels of
[26:21] Speaker 1: reviver the church has also done well worthy of commendation
[26:25] Speaker 1: in terms of sacrifice i can tell you like you
[26:28] Speaker 1: know that the church in africa and the church in
[26:32] Speaker 1: nigeria is truly a church of sacrifice hallelujah sacrifice always
[26:39] Speaker 1: in terms of giving, in terms of many churches in
[26:43] Speaker 1: this country, for instance, hold multiple services, and there are
[26:47] Speaker 1: people who are there from start to finish. That is
[26:50] Speaker 1: tremendous sacrifice. It is not a usual occurrence in many
[26:54] Speaker 1: parts of the world. In Koinonia here, for instance, there
[26:57] Speaker 1: are people who are here very early in the morning
[27:00] Speaker 1: and would stay late into the morning until everything is done.
[27:03] Speaker 1: That is sacrifice. And that is worthy of commendation. Number three,
[27:07] Speaker 1: the church in Nigeria, Africa. And it extends to the
[27:11] Speaker 1: church global. Is noted for compassion.
[27:15] Speaker 2: Compassion.
[27:16] Speaker 1: That truly we are a people of compassion. The gentleman
[27:21] Speaker 1: who gave his testimony here. Can you imagine meeting someone
[27:25] Speaker 1: for the first time. And just telling the person that
[27:29] Speaker 1: I am a member of Koinonia. What if he was lying?
[27:32] Speaker 1: He didn't even check to verify, carried money to give him.
[27:35] Speaker 1: Now the gentleman has a job. There are people who
[27:38] Speaker 1: went to school because of the church.
[27:40] Speaker 2: Is that true?
[27:41] Speaker 1: There are people who had the opportunity to rise and
[27:44] Speaker 1: live responsible lives because of the church. So worthy of
[27:49] Speaker 1: commendation is the compassion of the church.
[27:52] Speaker 2: Worthy of commendation also is doctrine.
[27:54] Speaker 1: By the grace of God, the church in Nigeria, and
[27:58] Speaker 1: it extends to many parts of Africa, has been a
[28:02] Speaker 1: place of doctrine. Nigeria does not have a problem with ignorance. No.
[28:08] Speaker 1: Ignorance in spiritual matters for any believer in Nigeria today
[28:12] Speaker 1: is purely a product of laziness. Because God has raised
[28:15] Speaker 1: people across their body, are we together? To be able
[28:18] Speaker 1: to bring, there is a minimum level of spiritual understanding
[28:23] Speaker 1: that an average believer who is interested in God should attain.
[28:30] Speaker 1: Worthy of commendation for the church in Nigeria, the church
[28:35] Speaker 1: in Africa. is standing for truth and righteousness in the
[28:39] Speaker 1: face of hardship and death. This is most prominent across
[28:44] Speaker 1: the northeast. You would hear of stories of pastors and
[28:48] Speaker 1: people who were given an opportunity either to renounce Jesus
[28:52] Speaker 1: and they stood even to the face of death. Many
[28:55] Speaker 1: of these you may not see it on air, but
[28:57] Speaker 1: worthy of commendation. Is the stamina and the sacrifice of
[29:01] Speaker 1: God's people. Many people have given up riches. Given up
[29:06] Speaker 1: opportunities to be famous. Simply because they made up their minds.
[29:10] Speaker 1: That they would stand for truth.
[29:14] Speaker 2: Is that correct?
[29:19] Speaker 1: Worthy of commendation also is the profound dimension of kingdom
[29:24] Speaker 1: influence that God has given his church within this nation,
[29:28] Speaker 1: across Africa, and also the world. God has lifted and
[29:33] Speaker 1: honored the church. You can imagine churches in Nigeria having universities, hospitals.
[29:39] Speaker 1: There are many people who would have died today. Except
[29:42] Speaker 1: for the influence of the church. God has honored the
[29:44] Speaker 1: church to be a global force. Right from Nigeria here.
[29:48] Speaker 1: And then parts of Africa. And up to the world.
[29:51] Speaker 1: So it is worthy of commendation. Finally, worthy of commendation.
[29:56] Speaker 1: Is the tremendous display of spiritual power. And the gift
[30:01] Speaker 1: of the Spirit that has been invested in the church
[30:04] Speaker 1: in this country, in the church in Africa. You know,
[30:07] Speaker 1: I sat back there watching people come and give all
[30:11] Speaker 1: these testimonies. And sometimes media will capture the emotions of
[30:15] Speaker 1: the people and I just nod my head. And even
[30:18] Speaker 1: me myself, who God used to produce the miracles, I
[30:21] Speaker 1: wouldn't really say I'm amazed, but I'm humbled that God
[30:25] Speaker 1: can raise somebody out of nothing and invest such level
[30:28] Speaker 1: of spiritual power. I can tell you that the church
[30:32] Speaker 1: in Nigeria truly has spiritual power. The church in Africa
[30:37] Speaker 1: has spiritual power. Forget about some of the challenges here
[30:41] Speaker 1: and there.
[30:42] Speaker 2: Profound power.
[30:44] Speaker 1: There are people who left home on wheelchairs, and return
[30:48] Speaker 1: back carrying their wheelchairs and rejoicing. Genuine, authentic miracles. There
[30:53] Speaker 1: are people who in a moment, a twinkling of an eye,
[30:56] Speaker 1: their lives change like night and day. All because of
[30:59] Speaker 1: the tremendous power. Is it the prophetic? Is it the
[31:03] Speaker 1: revelatory grace? All kinds of graces invested within the body. So,
[31:07] Speaker 1: before we now begin to check some of the things
[31:10] Speaker 1: that need to be corrected, it is worthy of note
[31:14] Speaker 1: that we salute the body of Christ and salute the church.
[31:18] Speaker 1: That includes every man, every woman who serves God in truth.
[31:22] Speaker 1: That includes every kingdom leader in politics, in business. That
[31:27] Speaker 1: includes every father producing responsible children, mother producing responsible children.
[31:33] Speaker 2: Every captain of industry.
[31:34] Speaker 1: All together, provided it is a contribution that has brought
[31:39] Speaker 1: these commendations about the church, then we deserve to at
[31:43] Speaker 1: least give ourselves a little pat in the back to
[31:45] Speaker 1: say well done.
[31:48] Speaker 2: Is that true?
[31:51] Speaker 1: Now, having brought that commendation, my emphasis tonight is the
[31:59] Speaker 1: Lord gave me this revelation to reveal seven deadly sins
[32:04] Speaker 1: that That must be purged from the church. The church universal.
[32:10] Speaker 1: The church in Africa. And the church in Nigeria. As
[32:15] Speaker 1: much as we have commended ourselves, it is important for
[32:18] Speaker 1: us to be honest enough to allow that refiner's fire
[32:22] Speaker 1: to pass through us and to bring that purging. In
[32:25] Speaker 1: John chapter 15, it says, He that bears fruit, my
[32:28] Speaker 1: Father will prune, so that he will bear much, he
[32:32] Speaker 1: will bear greater fruit. He that bears fruit, when you
[32:36] Speaker 1: bear fruit, they prune you, so that you will even
[32:38] Speaker 1: produce greater fruit. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Now, I want you to
[32:43] Speaker 1: listen to these seven, I call them seven deadly sins
[32:48] Speaker 1: that must be purged from the church. This teaching tonight
[32:52] Speaker 1: is not from a standpoint of self-righteousness.
[32:55] Speaker 2: For we are all but products of his mercy. Are
[32:57] Speaker 2: we together? The teaching tonight is an attempt.
[33:00] Speaker 1: To show us through the lens of the holiness and
[33:03] Speaker 1: the purity of the Christ.
[33:05] Speaker 2: The areas that we.
[33:06] Speaker 1: Need to adjust in our lives, in our organizations to
[33:10] Speaker 1: the point that we present a bride and a church
[33:14] Speaker 1: that is purified. So as I take on this, I
[33:17] Speaker 1: want you to listen very carefully to any one of
[33:20] Speaker 1: the seven. And as the Holy Spirit speaks to you,
[33:23] Speaker 1: as I run through this list, now I'm going to
[33:26] Speaker 1: bring some of the challenges and then I will profile
[33:29] Speaker 1: very quickly what is the biblical solution out of them.
[33:33] Speaker 2: Are you ready now?
[33:35] Speaker 1: Sin number one, sexual immorality and related.
[33:42] Speaker 2: Perversions. Sexual immorality. Please write.
[33:47] Speaker 1: And related perversions. We'll talk about the related perversions now.
[33:50] Speaker 1: 1 Thessalonians chapter 4. 3 to 5. The first sin
[33:58] Speaker 1: that needs to be purified from the body of Christ.
[34:01] Speaker 2: Give us amplified.
[34:03] Speaker 1: Let's read Amplified, then we'll read Acts 15, 28 and 29.
[34:07] Speaker 1: For this is the will of God, that you should
[34:10] Speaker 1: be consecrated, separated and set apart for pure and holy living.
[34:16] Speaker 1: That you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice.
[34:21] Speaker 2: We're reading to 5.
[34:24] Speaker 1: That each of you should know how to possess, control
[34:27] Speaker 1: or manage his own body in consecration. Purity.
[34:31] Speaker 2: Separated from things profane.
[34:33] Speaker 1: And honor. Verse 5.
[34:35] Speaker 2: The last verse.
[34:36] Speaker 1: Not to be used in the passion of lust like
[34:39] Speaker 1: the hidden. Who are ignorant of the true God. And
[34:42] Speaker 1: have no knowledge of his will. Give us Acts chapter
[34:46] Speaker 1: 15 please. From verse 28 and 29. Amplified still. For
[34:53] Speaker 1: it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us
[34:57] Speaker 1: not to lay upon you any greater burden than this
[35:01] Speaker 1: indispensable requirement that you abstain from what has been sacrificed
[35:08] Speaker 1: to idols and from tasting blood and from eating the
[35:12] Speaker 1: meat of animals that have been strangled and from sexual impurity.
[35:16] Speaker 1: If you keep yourselves from these things, it says you
[35:19] Speaker 1: do well. Hallelujah. Now please, I want you to listen
[35:23] Speaker 1: very carefully. Sexual immorality from time immemorial has been part
[35:32] Speaker 1: of society and it extends to all the organizations and
[35:36] Speaker 1: even the individuals.
[35:38] Speaker 2: I want you to pay attention to this.
[35:43] Speaker 1: Sexual immorality is predicated on certain facts that you must know.
[35:48] Speaker 2: Please pay attention.
[35:50] Speaker 1: The first thing you need to know is Is that
[35:52] Speaker 1: the desire for intimacy I wrote here is not demonic.
[35:57] Speaker 1: Most people have not studied this subject. I have taken
[36:01] Speaker 1: the time to study this issue of sexual immorality. The
[36:05] Speaker 1: desire for intimacy is not demonic. Now that is the
[36:09] Speaker 1: problem with this issue of lust and immorality. Because other
[36:14] Speaker 1: negative vices like lying and stealing. Any day, any time,
[36:19] Speaker 1: lying is lying and it is bad. Any day, any time,
[36:22] Speaker 1: please look up, stealing is stealing and it is bad.
[36:26] Speaker 1: But when it comes to the issue of sexual immorality,
[36:29] Speaker 1: the intrinsic desire for intimacy was not put there by
[36:34] Speaker 1: the devil.
[36:35] Speaker 2: It was put there by God.
[36:37] Speaker 1: So it's not a desire you can cast out of
[36:39] Speaker 1: your life. Are we together? It is only a desire
[36:43] Speaker 1: that was created to be expressed within certain conditions. It
[36:49] Speaker 1: is the presence or absence of the conditions that make
[36:52] Speaker 1: it right or wrong.
[36:54] Speaker 2: Not the presence of the desire. Is someone learning now?
[36:57] Speaker 1: That what can be a dangerous thing right now. The
[37:01] Speaker 1: next moment within the right condition of marriage. Can become
[37:05] Speaker 1: the greatest blessing. Or one of the greatest blessings. Are
[37:08] Speaker 1: we together? Stealing is stealing. Lying is lying for instance.
[37:13] Speaker 1: But when it has to do with the issue of
[37:16] Speaker 1: sexual immorality. You have to understand that it was God
[37:20] Speaker 1: that put the desire for intimacy in men.
[37:25] Speaker 3: Hallelujah.
[37:25] Speaker 1: Hallelujah. This is very important. And if you do not
[37:30] Speaker 1: understand this. You are going to be fighting a battle
[37:33] Speaker 1: that you do not even understand. Write this down. The
[37:41] Speaker 1: spirit of lust and immorality. Or the nature of lust
[37:45] Speaker 1: and immorality. Is that it capitalizes. It capitalizes on this
[37:53] Speaker 1: blessing that God has put within men. And perverts it
[37:57] Speaker 1: to the destruction of the victims.
[38:01] Speaker 2: So it capitalizes on the.
[38:03] Speaker 1: Presence of this desire that God has put in men.
[38:08] Speaker 1: And now perverts it for their destruction.
[38:15] Speaker 2: If you are with me, say Amen.
[38:17] Speaker 1: Now, sexual immorality does not care whether you are old.
[38:22] Speaker 1: Does not care whether you are young. Does not care
[38:26] Speaker 1: whether you are an apostle. Whether you are a prophet.
[38:29] Speaker 1: Whether you are good or bad. Sexual immorality is not
[38:33] Speaker 1: about being good or evil. It's about exploiting not a weakness.
[38:39] Speaker 1: Exploiting a provision that was put by God. And if
[38:43] Speaker 1: not guarded within the frame of what I will teach you.
[38:46] Speaker 1: You can be a nice person. You can be an
[38:50] Speaker 1: evil person. And from a sexual standpoint you will be
[38:52] Speaker 1: victims of the same thing.
[38:54] Speaker 2: Are we learning now? This is very, very powerful.
[39:00] Speaker 1: It is a cancer that has destroyed society. destroyed great
[39:05] Speaker 1: destinies it is a cancer that has destroyed people from
[39:08] Speaker 1: ministry to business to politics noble people have crashed down
[39:14] Speaker 1: sometimes overnight because of this like i said the goal
[39:18] Speaker 1: is to expose us to it not from a standpoint
[39:21] Speaker 1: of condemnation but to give us enlightenment and to supply
[39:25] Speaker 1: us with the tools that will keep us strong are
[39:27] Speaker 1: we together let me tell you this No man will
[39:31] Speaker 1: ever outgrow the temptation of sexual immorality. No man will
[39:37] Speaker 1: outgrow being tempted.
[39:39] Speaker 2: That is the point.
[39:41] Speaker 1: The devil will come once and again for as long
[39:44] Speaker 1: as you are alive. Because he knows that that nature...
[39:49] Speaker 1: Is in every man. That desire that God put. So
[39:52] Speaker 1: Satan will be up and doing. Creating scenarios. And creating
[39:57] Speaker 1: any and everything. That will exploit that provision. And for
[40:02] Speaker 1: one who is ignorant. And not equipped. With scripture. And
[40:06] Speaker 1: with revelation. Eventually. You will be a victim.
[40:12] Speaker 2: Is someone learning? It is a spirit.
[40:24] Speaker 1: In researching for this, I came towards some statistics I
[40:28] Speaker 1: don't even want to go and talk about right now.
[40:31] Speaker 1: Very terrible statistics that are not very, very friendly and
[40:35] Speaker 1: not very funny. But then, I studied something in dealing
[40:42] Speaker 1: with this subject. Do you know that speaking within the
[40:48] Speaker 1: context of sexual immorality... The way this spirit works is
[40:53] Speaker 1: that once you are a young and unmarried person, the devil,
[40:57] Speaker 1: the spirit of loss acts by amplifying to an unusual degree.
[41:02] Speaker 1: Are we together? This desire that God put, generally everything
[41:07] Speaker 1: God gives man, he gives.
[41:09] Speaker 2: You power and control over.
[41:11] Speaker 1: Whatever seems to go beyond your control has been empowered
[41:15] Speaker 1: by another spirit. we together now so the way the
[41:20] Speaker 1: devil pushes once you are unmarried without a spouse he
[41:24] Speaker 1: will amplify to an unusual degree and there may be
[41:28] Speaker 1: biological explanations i don't downplay you know research of medicine
[41:32] Speaker 1: we're not discussing medicine now this is from a spiritual
[41:35] Speaker 1: standpoint i know there are things like hormonal imbalance and
[41:38] Speaker 1: the rest i don't want to go into those discussions
[41:40] Speaker 1: are we together but that generally speaking He will amplify
[41:45] Speaker 1: that desire beyond the control of an individual. And if
[41:49] Speaker 1: not protected by wisdom, revelation, and some of these keys
[41:52] Speaker 1: I will show you, you will find out that you
[41:54] Speaker 1: will be a victim. And then the moment you get married,
[41:57] Speaker 1: he will now flip.
[42:00] Speaker 2: Flip the side.
[42:01] Speaker 1: Of the coin. By taking away that desire. So you
[42:04] Speaker 1: find out. That you can see two people. Who sometimes
[42:08] Speaker 1: are in a hurry to get married. Because they think
[42:10] Speaker 1: they want to keep themselves. And then they get married.
[42:13] Speaker 1: Statistics will tell us. Counselors and even men of God
[42:16] Speaker 1: will tell you. That sometimes once it happens. You find
[42:19] Speaker 1: out that that desire seems to just evaporate.
[42:22] Speaker 2: And vanish.
[42:23] Speaker 1: It is all the structure of this spirit. Is someone
[42:28] Speaker 1: learning now? Very, very important. Now, beyond just sexual immorality,
[42:39] Speaker 1: there are other expressions of immorality. Pornography, masturbation, all kinds
[42:49] Speaker 1: of perversions. Sexual immorality may be the major one. but
[42:55] Speaker 1: there are many others. You see, the thing about sexual
[42:59] Speaker 1: immorality is that it requires a number of conditions for
[43:04] Speaker 1: that to happen. Number one, it is atmosphere dependent. Number two,
[43:08] Speaker 1: you will need the mutual consent of the parties involved.
[43:12] Speaker 1: But for things like pornography and masturbation, these things do
[43:16] Speaker 1: not need all these extra things. So there are many
[43:20] Speaker 1: people who for some reason have been able to survive
[43:24] Speaker 1: sexual immorality, but pornography, masturbation, and a lot of.
[43:31] Speaker 2: Other bodily vices.
[43:33] Speaker 1: Do you know the Bible says, a man that looks
[43:36] Speaker 1: at a woman to lust after her, in the mind
[43:39] Speaker 1: of the spirit, he has already committed immorality. So there
[43:43] Speaker 1: are others who may not physically act it out, but
[43:47] Speaker 1: as far as God is concerned, they are victims because
[43:50] Speaker 1: they It is a state of perpetual emotional entertainment. Just
[43:58] Speaker 1: like sexual immorality, pornography, masturbation and so on. It does
[44:03] Speaker 1: not care whether you are a man of God. It
[44:06] Speaker 1: does not care whether you are married. It does not
[44:09] Speaker 1: care whether you are single. It does not care whether
[44:11] Speaker 1: you are young. It does not care whether you are old.
[44:15] Speaker 1: If left unchecked, it will attack and wreck your life.
[44:19] Speaker 1: Is someone learning now? Scene number one. Sexual immorality and
[44:23] Speaker 1: related perversions. There are other expressions of immorality. It's still
[44:28] Speaker 1: under the group of immorality. Drunkenness. Drugs. Every kind of
[44:34] Speaker 1: harm that is inflicted in the body that is inconsistent
[44:39] Speaker 1: with With God's pattern.
[44:41] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[44:42] Speaker 1: So there are some who will say well I'm not
[44:44] Speaker 1: sexually immoral. But then there are people who are victims
[44:48] Speaker 1: of drugs. Victims of alcoholism. Victims of all kinds of vices.
[44:54] Speaker 1: That's why it's written here. Sexual immorality and related perversions.
[45:00] Speaker 1: I need not mention other extreme ones unfortunately. But it
[45:04] Speaker 1: is true in the world. And I hope and pray
[45:06] Speaker 1: not the church. extensions of extreme cases like having affairs
[45:11] Speaker 1: with little children and babies and animals and sodomy. You
[45:15] Speaker 1: know that our world today is full of all kinds
[45:18] Speaker 1: of things. The goal is not condemnation. The goal is
[45:22] Speaker 1: to be able to expose this and to bring us
[45:24] Speaker 1: to a point where we become free and free indeed.
[45:28] Speaker 1: Because I can tell you many people are not free.
[45:32] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[45:33] Speaker 1: Very quickly so that we'll deal with the other things.
[45:38] Speaker 1: I want to give you five steps, five scriptural steps
[45:45] Speaker 1: to be free from sexual immorality and every related perversion.
[45:50] Speaker 1: And I want you to please listen and learn. For
[45:53] Speaker 1: yourself and for anybody, God may give you the privilege
[45:57] Speaker 1: of helping.
[46:00] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[46:01] Speaker 1: Number one, for you to be free from lust and immorality,
[46:06] Speaker 1: The first thing that must happen to you is that
[46:09] Speaker 1: you must admit it. Psalms 51 and verse 17. Brokenness
[46:16] Speaker 1: is a necessary requirement if you are going to experience
[46:20] Speaker 1: the salvation of God on this wise. It says the
[46:23] Speaker 1: sacrifices of God. I hope you know Psalms 51 was
[46:27] Speaker 1: the Psalm... Of David. When prophet Nathan came to him.
[46:32] Speaker 1: And to tell him what had happened to him. He
[46:34] Speaker 1: was broken.
[46:35] Speaker 2: Repented.
[46:36] Speaker 1: Crying with sackcloth and ashes. And this was part of
[46:39] Speaker 1: his contemplations. It says the sacrifices of God. Are a
[46:44] Speaker 1: broken spirit. A broken and a contrite heart. Oh God.
[46:49] Speaker 1: Thou will not despise. Admit it. You must come to
[46:56] Speaker 1: that point where you admit it. Listen, let me tell
[46:58] Speaker 1: you the truth. By the privilege of God's grace, I
[47:01] Speaker 1: can tell you, I have cried with and prayed with
[47:04] Speaker 1: many people. And do you know, there are many people
[47:07] Speaker 1: you see who are victims of sexual immorality and on
[47:12] Speaker 1: further examining, they have very sincere hearts. Some of them
[47:16] Speaker 1: grew up from families where the first place they had
[47:19] Speaker 1: that that was wrong was even in church because it
[47:22] Speaker 1: was a common practice. There are cultures that promote it
[47:27] Speaker 1: as part of the cultural activities.
[47:29] Speaker 2: Is that true? So it is very difficult.
[47:31] Speaker 1: That's why in dealing with people, you must never throw
[47:35] Speaker 1: away the place of compassion and mercy. There are people
[47:38] Speaker 1: who were left, they grew up on their own and
[47:41] Speaker 1: by themselves. They became victims of sexual exposures even before teenage.
[47:50] Speaker 1: Some were victims from those they grew up under that
[47:53] Speaker 1: trusted them. Now, there's no point bringing sad memories, but
[47:56] Speaker 1: the point is that for you to be free from
[47:59] Speaker 1: lust and sexual immorality and any expression of it, you
[48:06] Speaker 1: must get to a point of admittance that I need help.
[48:11] Speaker 1: My life needs the mercy of God. Step number two,
[48:14] Speaker 1: very quickly. If you are learning, say amen. Step number two.
[48:19] Speaker 1: You must set aside time for a retreat as soon
[48:23] Speaker 1: as possible.
[48:25] Speaker 2: Set aside time for a retreat.
[48:28] Speaker 1: A retreat gives you the platform to pray, to study scripture,
[48:34] Speaker 1: to fast, and to be broken and repentant before God
[48:38] Speaker 1: your maker.
[48:40] Speaker 2: Can I tell you this?
[48:41] Speaker 1: I think it was, I can't remember, the man of
[48:43] Speaker 1: God now was listening to years ago and he said,
[48:45] Speaker 1: any weakness unaddressed will eventually bring you down. It is
[48:50] Speaker 1: not the weakness. It is living it and assuming there
[48:53] Speaker 1: is no problem. Is someone learning now? You must set
[49:01] Speaker 1: aside time for a retreat. A retreat is a time
[49:05] Speaker 1: alone with God. Can I tell you, when you are
[49:07] Speaker 1: dealing with something this cancerous, nothing should be too important.
[49:12] Speaker 1: You can't say, I am too busy. Because this sustains
[49:16] Speaker 1: the potential. I'm going to tell you.
[49:18] Speaker 2: Do you know the assignment?
[49:20] Speaker 1: Of sexual immorality i will tell you the assignment of
[49:23] Speaker 1: sexual immorality is not is not the sex that destroys
[49:27] Speaker 1: you there is something it does to you spiritually when
[49:31] Speaker 1: the devil wants to attack you there is a a
[49:35] Speaker 1: threshold level of spiritual fire that if you possess it
[49:40] Speaker 1: cannot allow for a demonic attack And so the way
[49:44] Speaker 1: that it happens is to introduce this to your life
[49:47] Speaker 1: and it begins to bring you down to a level
[49:50] Speaker 1: spiritually where an attack upon your life, any dimension, becomes possible.
[49:59] Speaker 1: Are we together? One of the things it may interest
[50:02] Speaker 1: you to know is that there is a strong relationship
[50:05] Speaker 1: between the spirit of immorality and the spirit of untimely death.
[50:10] Speaker 1: There is a strong relationship. So number one, admit it.
[50:17] Speaker 1: With humility and brokenness. Crying to the God of your salvation.
[50:21] Speaker 1: Number two, a retreat is your next port of call.
[50:26] Speaker 1: A sincere time alone with God. To cry out your
[50:29] Speaker 1: heart before your maker.
[50:30] Speaker 4: In prayer.
[50:36] Speaker 2: In prayer. In fasting.
[50:39] Speaker 1: In genuine repentance. When Jonah went to Nineveh. And announced
[50:44] Speaker 1: to them the imminent destruction that was coming upon them.
[50:47] Speaker 1: The Bible says immediately. The king of Nineveh declared a fast.
[50:52] Speaker 1: Everyone fasted till the animals. And all of them wore
[50:56] Speaker 1: sackcloth and ashes. And cried before God. The thing about
[51:00] Speaker 1: God is. The moment there is brokenness. His mercy is
[51:04] Speaker 1: ready to come.
[51:05] Speaker 2: Is someone learning?
[51:07] Speaker 1: Let me recommend a scripture for you that you use
[51:10] Speaker 1: for your retreat.
[51:11] Speaker 2: Psalm 51.
[51:12] Speaker 1: The whole of Psalm 51 is the psalm of mercy.
[51:16] Speaker 1: This was the cry, the pouring out. It said, have
[51:19] Speaker 1: mercy upon me, O God. According to thy loving kindness.
[51:23] Speaker 1: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies. Blood out
[51:26] Speaker 1: my transgression. And then it says in verse 2, wash
[51:29] Speaker 1: me thoroughly from my iniquity. And cleanse me from my sin.
[51:33] Speaker 1: Verse 3. It says, for I acknowledge my transgression. And
[51:38] Speaker 1: my sin is ever before me.
[51:40] Speaker 2: Verse 4.
[51:42] Speaker 1: Against thee, thee only have I sinned and done this
[51:46] Speaker 1: evil in thy sight, that thou mightest be justified when
[51:49] Speaker 1: thou speakest and be clear when thou judgest. Verse 5.
[51:52] Speaker 1: It says, behold, I was shaping in iniquity. Look at
[51:56] Speaker 1: the psalmist pouring his heart before God and saying, listen,
[51:59] Speaker 1: this was a tendency that has been fighting me for
[52:02] Speaker 1: many years. He couldn't find expression because I was not
[52:05] Speaker 1: yet king. Can I tell you? You need to cry
[52:08] Speaker 1: for God's mercy because there are many people who are
[52:11] Speaker 1: not victims of this. Not because the devil is not
[52:14] Speaker 1: attacking you. The opportunity that gives you room to execute
[52:18] Speaker 1: it has not yet come. And the spirit of lust
[52:22] Speaker 1: can lie quietly for decades.
[52:25] Speaker 2: Waiting for the day you are exalted.
[52:28] Speaker 1: I can tell you what came upon David did not
[52:30] Speaker 1: come upon him in the palace. It was there right
[52:33] Speaker 1: from when he was in the bush. Who will come
[52:36] Speaker 1: to you in the bush when there are lions and
[52:37] Speaker 1: the rest?
[52:41] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[52:43] Speaker 1: So that this immediately should damage any sense of self-righteousness,
[52:48] Speaker 1: of believing, oh, I think I'm fine. There are many people,
[52:52] Speaker 1: if you are exposed to one-tenth their conditions, you will
[52:55] Speaker 1: fall like a pack of cat.
[53:00] Speaker 2: Koinonia, are we together? The purified bride.
[53:05] Speaker 1: So number one, you must admit and acknowledge that you
[53:09] Speaker 1: need help and.
[53:10] Speaker 2: The mercy of God.
[53:11] Speaker 1: It does not matter whether it happened through your carelessness
[53:14] Speaker 1: given into the flesh. It does not matter whether it's
[53:16] Speaker 1: a product of an attack and a spirit. It does
[53:19] Speaker 1: not matter whether it has come as a result of
[53:21] Speaker 1: foundations and ancestry patterns. Look at our dear sister, the
[53:26] Speaker 1: woman who shared this. You see that her legs were broken,
[53:29] Speaker 1: same position, same time. The sister, the same thing happening.
[53:33] Speaker 1: There are strong demonic patterns. Let me tell you the truth.
[53:37] Speaker 1: Except you deal with this by revelation. You can be
[53:39] Speaker 1: a man of God. You can be a leader. You
[53:42] Speaker 1: can be a father. You can be a businessman. That
[53:46] Speaker 1: spirit from its ancestry will haunt you. Until you use
[53:50] Speaker 1: spiritual intelligence to deal with it.
[53:58] Speaker 2: Number three. Help now.
[54:01] Speaker 1: Number one, I said, admit and acknowledge it, your need
[54:04] Speaker 1: for help. Number two, you must set out time for
[54:06] Speaker 1: a personal retreat. A time of honest appraisal. Flog it
[54:11] Speaker 1: out with destiny. With all sincerity between you and God.
[54:15] Speaker 1: Number three, where it persists and is still beyond your control,
[54:20] Speaker 1: you must seek help. You must seek help. You must
[54:24] Speaker 1: be honest enough to seek help. You must seek help. Now,
[54:32] Speaker 1: let me pause here for a minute and just comment
[54:34] Speaker 1: very quickly. I'm dwelling on this issue of sexual immorality
[54:37] Speaker 1: because I just want us to deal with it a
[54:39] Speaker 1: little bit before we now discuss the rest. It's a
[54:43] Speaker 1: very serious issue. Do you know, please look up. Do
[54:45] Speaker 1: you know that in seeking help, I submit to you
[54:49] Speaker 1: that there are many people who desire to seek help.
[54:53] Speaker 1: But the reason is, history has shown that especially we
[54:58] Speaker 1: men of God have not sustained the kind of intelligence
[55:02] Speaker 1: and maturity to manage people's private and painful issues.
[55:06] Speaker 2: Is that true?
[55:07] Speaker 1: There are many people who have been wounded because they
[55:10] Speaker 1: came and opened up to their prophet, their man of God,
[55:14] Speaker 1: and said, listen, I think there is something I'm struggling with.
[55:17] Speaker 1: Prayer partners, accountability partners, mentors, men of God, have in
[55:23] Speaker 1: many regards disappointed the trust that people have had for them.
[55:27] Speaker 1: That is the reason why you see today, people have
[55:30] Speaker 1: resorted to flying abroad and going to go and meet therapists.
[55:33] Speaker 1: At least who would deal with it professionally and don't
[55:36] Speaker 1: even know you. Rather than coming to cry to say,
[55:39] Speaker 1: man of God, I think there is a challenge in
[55:42] Speaker 1: my life. Many of us will pray and say, oh,
[55:44] Speaker 1: let's pray. Father, the devil cannot take over this person.
[55:47] Speaker 1: And later on, before evening, You have told your wife
[55:50] Speaker 1: as a spouse.
[55:52] Speaker 2: You have told your husband. This is our prayer group.
[55:55] Speaker 1: My God. God is bringing a lot of deliverance. You
[55:58] Speaker 1: see the problem now? And then the person will tell
[56:01] Speaker 1: another person and say.
[56:02] Speaker 2: Don't tell anybody. I would deny.
[56:04] Speaker 1: I don't know you. When anything backfires. Let me tell
[56:10] Speaker 1: you the truth. It takes more than being anointed to
[56:13] Speaker 1: help people. You must be trained. We must incorporate this
[56:17] Speaker 1: in our mentorship platforms as we build people. Anointing and
[56:21] Speaker 1: revelation is not the only thing that qualifies for spiritual leadership.
[56:25] Speaker 2: People must sustain.
[56:26] Speaker 1: Psychological knowledge, the maturity and the know-how to manage sensitive things.
[56:31] Speaker 2: Some of these people are in.
[56:33] Speaker 1: Positions where managing and dealing with these issues can have
[56:37] Speaker 1: severe effect on them, their.
[56:39] Speaker 2: Organizations, their platforms.
[56:42] Speaker 1: You're a man of God here listening or within this place.
[56:45] Speaker 1: We must know that when people open their pain up
[56:48] Speaker 1: to you, it is a trust you must protect. Are
[56:53] Speaker 1: we learning?
[56:55] Speaker 2: But I want to tell you this. Help is powerful.
[56:58] Speaker 1: It is amazing how something that looks like a mountain
[57:01] Speaker 1: can be deflated in the presence of genuine help. There
[57:05] Speaker 1: are people who are carrying spirits. So counseling will not
[57:09] Speaker 1: solve the problem. Counseling, you may walk around counseling and say, okay,
[57:14] Speaker 1: this positive confession, you will speak that.
[57:16] Speaker 2: In Jesus' name, I'm okay.
[57:17] Speaker 1: And that spirit will just wait at the door of
[57:19] Speaker 1: the counseling. As soon as you are coming out, before
[57:23] Speaker 1: then it has gathered seven others. That's what the Bible says.
[57:25] Speaker 1: And it will land on you in a way that
[57:27] Speaker 1: you cannot imagine. That's why whether it's sexual immorality or
[57:31] Speaker 1: people who are on drugs, when you are talking to them,
[57:33] Speaker 1: have you seen how quiet? They will just keep quiet.
[57:35] Speaker 1: Will you smoke again?
[57:36] Speaker 4: No.
[57:37] Speaker 2: Will you drink?
[57:37] Speaker 1: No.
[57:37] Speaker 2: That's the last time.
[57:39] Speaker 1: By evening, Do you know how this spirit works? Even
[57:42] Speaker 1: if they travel to a region where they don't know anybody,
[57:45] Speaker 1: the spirit will coordinate a way. They must know who
[57:49] Speaker 1: sells what.
[57:50] Speaker 2: It's a spirit.
[57:58] Speaker 1: So number one, admit. Number two, a retreat. Set aside
[58:05] Speaker 1: time to pray and fast and study scripture. and cry
[58:10] Speaker 1: out your heart in genuine brokenness and repentance before god
[58:14] Speaker 1: number three if and when the need arises seek help
[58:18] Speaker 1: seek help from matured people your pastor seek help from
[58:22] Speaker 1: your spiritual father seek help from mentors people who have
[58:25] Speaker 1: demonstrated maturity to be able to handle those issues number
[58:30] Speaker 1: four very quickly key number four is what many people
[58:34] Speaker 1: avoid and ignore and it is the reason why their
[58:37] Speaker 1: deliverance is not complete Number four, create rules and boundaries
[58:43] Speaker 1: in and around your life. Create rules and boundaries in
[58:48] Speaker 1: and around your life. Proverbs 25 and verse 28, please.
[58:54] Speaker 2: 25, 28 Proverbs.
[58:57] Speaker 1: He that had no rule over his own spirit is
[59:00] Speaker 1: like a city that is broken down and without walls.
[59:05] Speaker 1: Create rules.
[59:07] Speaker 2: When you enter a.
[59:08] Speaker 1: Relationship with your spouse, intended to be create rules agree
[59:13] Speaker 1: and pray and say in the name of Jesus Christ
[59:15] Speaker 1: we'll keep this relationship pure up until marriage create rules
[59:19] Speaker 1: don't allow your emotions to suggest from beginning settle it
[59:23] Speaker 1: that by the grace of God as God grants mercy
[59:26] Speaker 1: this is how it will be if you're with me
[59:28] Speaker 1: say amen You must create rules and you must create
[59:32] Speaker 1: boundaries in and around your life. It's not enough to
[59:37] Speaker 1: repent before God. It's not enough to now be renewed
[59:41] Speaker 1: in your decision. There are systems that you must create,
[59:45] Speaker 1: especially for sexual immorality. Sexual immorality is highly atmosphere dependent.
[59:51] Speaker 1: You cannot stand and sleep with somebody in front of
[59:54] Speaker 1: a police station or in front of a law court.
[59:56] Speaker 1: The atmosphere is not right. It may be difficult to
[1:00:07] Speaker 1: sleep with somebody when Don Muen is playing.
[1:00:09] Speaker 3: Hallelujah.
[1:00:16] Speaker 1: Now, please write, please write. Let's get to work. There's
[1:00:19] Speaker 1: a lot for us to do. Don't just laugh. I
[1:00:22] Speaker 1: hope he's entering you. Tonight, there is no tell them.
[1:00:26] Speaker 1: God is speaking to all of us. Are we together?
[1:00:31] Speaker 2: Pay attention, please.
[1:00:33] Speaker 1: So, The final encouragement for you is connect to a
[1:00:38] Speaker 1: larger family of believers. Community kingdom living is the key
[1:00:45] Speaker 1: to sustaining kingdom values. Community kingdom living is the key
[1:00:51] Speaker 1: to sustaining kingdom values. Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 25, Amplified.
[1:00:56] Speaker 2: Please give it to us. Hebrews 10, 25, Amplified.
[1:01:03] Speaker 1: Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together as many believers.
[1:01:10] Speaker 1: As is the habit of some people. But admonishing, warning,
[1:01:14] Speaker 1: urging and encouraging one another. And all the more faithfully
[1:01:19] Speaker 1: as you see the day approaching.
[1:01:21] Speaker 2: It says not forsaking the assembling of believers.
[1:01:25] Speaker 1: When you connect to a larger body of believers. It
[1:01:28] Speaker 1: can help you preserve your kingdom values. Are we together? Yes. Very,
[1:01:35] Speaker 1: very powerful and important. So let me run through the
[1:01:37] Speaker 1: step finally. That to be free from the spirit of lust,
[1:01:42] Speaker 1: sexual immorality, masturbation, pornography, and all kinds of vices, whatever
[1:01:48] Speaker 1: it is. The first thing is you must admit that
[1:01:50] Speaker 1: there is.
[1:01:51] Speaker 2: Need for help. Number two, you must be able.
[1:01:56] Speaker 1: To set a time of retreat, of brokenness, repentance before God.
[1:02:02] Speaker 2: Number three, Seek help.
[1:02:06] Speaker 1: Number four, you must create rules and boundaries in and
[1:02:10] Speaker 1: around your life. And then number five, connect to a
[1:02:14] Speaker 1: larger family of believers. Has God helped someone? Please lay
[1:02:18] Speaker 1: your hand on your head in one minute and cry
[1:02:21] Speaker 1: to the Lord. Father, I obtain mercy. Preserve me. Go
[1:02:25] Speaker 1: ahead and pray. Preserve me. Preserve me. If the message
[1:02:29] Speaker 1: has hit you and perhaps your life has been that way,
[1:02:32] Speaker 1: do not be discouraged. Remember, the one who God loves
[1:02:36] Speaker 1: is the one he chastises. Lord, I obtain grace. Someone
[1:02:39] Speaker 1: is praying. I obtain grace. Deliver me from sexual immorality.
[1:02:44] Speaker 1: Deliver me from lust. For you it may not be
[1:02:47] Speaker 1: sexual immorality, but how about lust? Ungodly thoughts that roam
[1:02:51] Speaker 1: around your mind seeking for an opportunity to be executed.
[1:02:54] Speaker 2: You can live and walk in freedom. Please pray.
[1:02:59] Speaker 1: You are praying from the depth of your heart. For
[1:03:02] Speaker 1: some of you is drunkenness, alcoholism. Some of you drugs
[1:03:08] Speaker 1: and all kinds of vices. The purified bride must be
[1:03:11] Speaker 1: free from this. Don't say it does not matter. The
[1:03:15] Speaker 1: purified church must obtain grace from God. Please pray. Doesn't
[1:03:22] Speaker 1: matter whether you are a pastor, apostle, prophet. God can
[1:03:26] Speaker 1: give you a new beginning. Provided your heart is open
[1:03:29] Speaker 1: to cry. You are following online. You are watching from
[1:03:32] Speaker 1: any nation. I like you to pray. This is not
[1:03:35] Speaker 1: a message unto condemnation. It is a sincere admittance that
[1:03:39] Speaker 1: will lead to purity, holiness and lift you to a
[1:03:42] Speaker 1: higher level of spiritual exploits. Someone is praying. Lord show
[1:03:47] Speaker 1: me mercy. Show me mercy. Show me mercy. I cry
[1:03:51] Speaker 1: unto you. You may want to extend that prayer to
[1:03:57] Speaker 1: someone you know and love. Lord, show my spouse mercy, probably. Lord,
[1:04:02] Speaker 1: show my husband, my wife. Show my children mercy. Show
[1:04:06] Speaker 1: my parents mercy. Show my pastor mercy. Show my CEO mercy.
[1:04:12] Speaker 1: Show this politician mercy. It's not a time of condemnation.
[1:04:16] Speaker 1: The fall of one is the fall of all. The
[1:04:19] Speaker 1: rising of one is the rising of all. We are
[1:04:21] Speaker 1: a body that is interested in our corporate growth. I'd
[1:04:24] Speaker 1: like you to pray from the depth of your heart.
[1:04:28] Speaker 1: Pray for everybody you know. Prayer groups, churches, ministries, pastors, leaders.
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: politicians heads of government no one no one is beyond
[1:04:42] Speaker 1: being tempted with sexual immorality no one is beyond being
[1:04:46] Speaker 1: tempted with other immoral perversions has nothing to do with
[1:04:51] Speaker 1: being good or bad pray that those who are bound
[1:04:54] Speaker 1: by any and all kinds of addictions let it be
[1:04:57] Speaker 1: broken in the name of jesus you are praying for
[1:04:59] Speaker 1: yourself and you are praying for them praying for the
[1:05:02] Speaker 1: body of christ hallelujah in jesus name i pray sin
[1:05:15] Speaker 1: number one that the body of christ needs to be
[1:05:17] Speaker 1: purified from sexual immorality and related perversions sin number two
[1:05:24] Speaker 1: i'm giving you seven very quickly the second scene that
[1:05:28] Speaker 1: the body of christ needs to be purified from indeed
[1:05:32] Speaker 1: the church is lost for money and material things please
[1:05:37] Speaker 1: write it down lost for money and material things mark
[1:05:43] Speaker 1: chapter 8 and verse 36 yes what shall it profit
[1:05:50] Speaker 1: a man is it in your bible if he gains
[1:05:54] Speaker 1: the whole world that's a business terminology and loses his
[1:05:58] Speaker 1: own soul This is another cancer that is sweeping the
[1:06:03] Speaker 1: body of Christ. And we need God to show us mercy.
[1:06:07] Speaker 1: We are victims of it as men of God, as churches,
[1:06:11] Speaker 1: as believers. The lust for money and material things. 1
[1:06:16] Speaker 1: Timothy chapter 6 please and verse 6 to 10. Lust
[1:06:21] Speaker 1: for money and material things. 1 Timothy 6, 6 to 10.
[1:06:26] Speaker 1: But godliness with contentment, the Bible says, is great gain.
[1:06:31] Speaker 2: For we brought nothing into this world. Please look at me.
[1:06:34] Speaker 1: Have you ever seen a naked baby come out of
[1:06:37] Speaker 1: his mother's womb holding dollars or holding gold and say,
[1:06:40] Speaker 1: I came from heaven, leave my thing for me.
[1:06:42] Speaker 2: Everybody comes naked.
[1:06:45] Speaker 1: And have you ever seen a dead man who is
[1:06:46] Speaker 1: departing and as soon as they are burying him, he
[1:06:49] Speaker 1: just reaches and draws his gold chain to his grave.
[1:06:52] Speaker 1: It does not happen. From birth and at your point
[1:06:56] Speaker 1: of transition, you are empty. This should give us wisdom already.
[1:07:01] Speaker 2: Are we together? Let's finish up that scripture.
[1:07:04] Speaker 1: For we brought nothing into this world, and it is
[1:07:07] Speaker 1: certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment,
[1:07:13] Speaker 1: let us therewith be content. Watch this. It says, but
[1:07:17] Speaker 1: they that will be rich fall into temptations. I will
[1:07:20] Speaker 1: explain this for you.
[1:07:22] Speaker 2: And a snare, and.
[1:07:23] Speaker 1: Into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men into
[1:07:28] Speaker 1: destruction and perdition.
[1:07:30] Speaker 2: Verse 10.
[1:07:31] Speaker 1: For the love of money the word there is eros
[1:07:34] Speaker 1: an ungodly affinity and attachment to money is the foundation
[1:07:39] Speaker 1: of every kind of evil it is the strengthener of
[1:07:43] Speaker 1: all kinds of evil he said which well some coveted
[1:07:47] Speaker 1: after have erred from the faith and have passed themselves
[1:07:51] Speaker 1: through with many sorrows please look up i believe in
[1:07:55] Speaker 1: prosperity it is god's desire to bless his people Materialism
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: is not having materials. Materialism is the influence of materials
[1:08:07] Speaker 1: upon your relationship. You see, the Bible tells us that
[1:08:12] Speaker 1: God and mammon, this spirit that controls worldly wealth, that
[1:08:17] Speaker 1: it seeks for allegiance. Money does not just want to
[1:08:20] Speaker 1: end up in your pocket. Money wants you to end
[1:08:22] Speaker 1: up in its pocket. Are we together now? Yes. When
[1:08:29] Speaker 1: our entire sermons. Our entire lives. Our entire conferences. Our
[1:08:36] Speaker 1: entire conventions. With all due respect and honor to the
[1:08:39] Speaker 1: body of Christ. When everything becomes about money. You cannot
[1:08:44] Speaker 1: hold an evangelistic crusade. And right there before souls come.
[1:08:48] Speaker 1: We are talking about money. There is no business between
[1:08:52] Speaker 1: evangelism and talking about prosperity principles. That should be in
[1:08:55] Speaker 1: a believer's conference. Those who have now been saved, then
[1:08:59] Speaker 1: it is part of the growth process that mentors and
[1:09:02] Speaker 1: builds them.
[1:09:04] Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
[1:09:05] Speaker 1: Some of us here, as you are looking at me,
[1:09:07] Speaker 1: you can kill because of money.
[1:09:10] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[1:09:11] Speaker 1: Yes. Our affinity for money... You can have 10 million
[1:09:16] Speaker 1: in your account. If 10,000 is missing, you can go around,
[1:09:20] Speaker 1: even in the night with touch light, to sleep and
[1:09:23] Speaker 1: wake up in the morning.
[1:09:23] Speaker 2: You will not wait till it's morning.
[1:09:25] Speaker 1: You must complete that 10 million, 10,000. Affinity.
[1:09:34] Speaker 2: Material things.
[1:09:35] Speaker 1: This has controlled who and what we marry. This has
[1:09:39] Speaker 1: controlled who and what we get. Money can call you,
[1:09:42] Speaker 1: leave Nigeria and come to UK. Can say, no, no, no,
[1:09:44] Speaker 1: go back again. Money controls people around the world like
[1:09:48] Speaker 1: a remote control. Listen, let me tell you the truth.
[1:09:51] Speaker 1: I've taught you on financial principles. It is not sarcasm.
[1:09:54] Speaker 1: God wants to bless us, but not by becoming so
[1:09:58] Speaker 1: emotionally obsessed and attached with money. There are people, the
[1:10:02] Speaker 1: moment they became wealthy, They told their wives from today
[1:10:06] Speaker 1: you will not stay with me. Go out into the
[1:10:08] Speaker 1: other room because I don't trust anybody. I've suffered too much.
[1:10:19] Speaker 2: Listen to me. You can be prosperous.
[1:10:24] Speaker 1: Lay up gold as dust beyond your wildest imagination and
[1:10:28] Speaker 1: yet not be attached to it. The goal of bringing
[1:10:32] Speaker 1: this right now is to be able to teach you
[1:10:36] Speaker 1: that God wants you to prosper. Marketing poverty as a
[1:10:39] Speaker 1: sign of holiness and piety is inaccurate. No. If poverty
[1:10:44] Speaker 1: were good, some of it would be found in heaven.
[1:10:47] Speaker 1: And since there is none of it found there, it
[1:10:49] Speaker 1: means it did not come from there.
[1:10:51] Speaker 2: Are we together now?
[1:10:55] Speaker 1: So I'm not teaching you from a standpoint of an
[1:10:57] Speaker 1: irresponsible man of God who is unmindful of the reality
[1:11:01] Speaker 1: of the times.
[1:11:02] Speaker 2: I understand. And there are scriptural strategies.
[1:11:05] Speaker 1: And for as long as I live, among the many
[1:11:08] Speaker 1: mentorship teachings that you will receive, is empowerment i am
[1:11:13] Speaker 1: vocal and i am unashamed and unapologetic about the blessing
[1:11:17] Speaker 1: of god's people it's a sermon i will never change
[1:11:20] Speaker 1: till i see his face my assignment is to balance
[1:11:23] Speaker 1: you to see to it that it does not become
[1:11:26] Speaker 1: obsession because we need to balance this for many believers
[1:11:30] Speaker 1: our obsession the reason why we go to church and
[1:11:33] Speaker 1: the entire scope of our christian pursuit is money It's
[1:11:37] Speaker 1: the reason why people can steal, people can do anything
[1:11:41] Speaker 1: because of money. And sadly, in many Christian circles, respectfully speaking,
[1:11:47] Speaker 1: the major index for measuring faith is wealth. So if
[1:11:52] Speaker 1: your faith is working, let me see it by the
[1:11:54] Speaker 1: car you are driving. If your faith is working, let
[1:11:56] Speaker 1: me see it by the house. If the man of God,
[1:12:00] Speaker 1: it shouldn't be. While we continue to reject poverty. We
[1:12:07] Speaker 1: must cry and pray that God will grant us grace.
[1:12:10] Speaker 1: Even by his mercy. To be people who can look
[1:12:14] Speaker 1: at money. Is the reason why many believers compromise. Someone
[1:12:19] Speaker 1: will dangle one million and you say. I rather enjoy
[1:12:22] Speaker 1: it now and tell God sorry later. The body of
[1:12:29] Speaker 1: Christ needs to be delivered. From lust for money. And
[1:12:35] Speaker 1: material things. Sin number three. Is God helping us? Let
[1:12:44] Speaker 1: me tell you the truth. Before we go to number three.
[1:12:46] Speaker 1: The cure for lust. For money and material things.
[1:12:51] Speaker 2: Is number one. To be properly mentored.
[1:12:55] Speaker 1: On the kingdom's pathway. To wealth and abundance. You can
[1:13:00] Speaker 1: do well to listen to my teaching, The Power to
[1:13:02] Speaker 1: Get Wealth. We have done several teachings along this line.
[1:13:06] Speaker 2: You would observe in.
[1:13:07] Speaker 1: That teaching that I taught you that the first law,
[1:13:10] Speaker 1: the first spiritual law for wealth and abundance is not tithing.
[1:13:14] Speaker 1: It is not giving. The first law is the law
[1:13:18] Speaker 1: of absolute surrender. Until you are dead to yourself, dead
[1:13:23] Speaker 1: to the flesh and alive unto God. Your obeying business
[1:13:27] Speaker 1: principles is simply bagging and investment you are doing with God.
[1:13:32] Speaker 1: So there are many people who bring tithe and bring
[1:13:35] Speaker 1: offering as a bribe, as an exchange. God, you better
[1:13:38] Speaker 1: see it, I'm dropping it. And you drop it and
[1:13:40] Speaker 1: go back and say, God.
[1:13:41] Speaker 2: I'm waiting.
[1:13:42] Speaker 1: And God says, what do you really love? The money
[1:13:44] Speaker 1: or me? The law of absolute surrender. They gave of themselves.
[1:13:49] Speaker 1: First the Macedonian church. And then they gave of their substance.
[1:13:54] Speaker 1: So now number three.
[1:13:55] Speaker 2: Are we learning?
[1:13:58] Speaker 1: The third sin that the bride of Christ. Which is
[1:14:01] Speaker 1: the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Must be purged from.
[1:14:04] Speaker 1: Is the sin of witchcraft. And extra biblical practices. Please
[1:14:09] Speaker 1: write it down. This is the third. This one is
[1:14:12] Speaker 1: a very serious one. Is God blessing us already? Show
[1:14:17] Speaker 1: us the ancient path. Will you lead us along eternal highway?
[1:14:26] Speaker 1: We want to follow the ways of Jesus.
[1:14:31] Speaker 2: We want to enter your rest. Show us the ancient path.
[1:14:40] Speaker 1: Will you lead us along Eternal highway. We want to
[1:14:46] Speaker 1: follow the footsteps of Jesus. We want to enter. Deuteronomy
[1:14:55] Speaker 1: chapter 18. Let's hurry up from verse 9. The third
[1:14:58] Speaker 1: sin that the body of Christ needs to be purified from.
[1:15:02] Speaker 1: Is the sin of witchcraft. And extra biblical practices. When
[1:15:09] Speaker 1: thou art come into the land. which the Lord thy
[1:15:13] Speaker 1: God giveth thee.
[1:15:14] Speaker 2: Reading to 14.
[1:15:14] Speaker 1: It says, Thou shalt not learn to do after the
[1:15:18] Speaker 1: abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among
[1:15:24] Speaker 1: you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to
[1:15:28] Speaker 1: pass through fire, or that useth divination, or.
[1:15:32] Speaker 2: An observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
[1:15:37] Speaker 1: Next verse. or a charmer, or a consultant with familiar spirits,
[1:15:42] Speaker 1: or a.
[1:15:43] Speaker 2: Wizard, or a necromancer. Verse 12.
[1:15:46] Speaker 1: For all that do these things are an abomination unto
[1:15:49] Speaker 1: the Lord. And because of these abominations, the Lord thy
[1:15:53] Speaker 1: God doth drive them out from before thee. 13. Thou
[1:15:59] Speaker 1: shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. In fact,
[1:16:01] Speaker 1: we can stop there.
[1:16:04] Speaker 2: Are we together? Ezekiel 13.
[1:16:08] Speaker 1: And the word of the Lord came unto me saying,
[1:16:11] Speaker 1: verse 2. Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of
[1:16:15] Speaker 1: Israel that prophesy. And say thou unto them that prophesy
[1:16:20] Speaker 1: out of their own hearts. Hear ye the word of
[1:16:23] Speaker 1: the Lord. Verse 3. Thus saith the Lord God. Woe
[1:16:27] Speaker 1: unto the foolish prophets that follow their own spirits and
[1:16:31] Speaker 1: have seen nothing.
[1:16:32] Speaker 2: Verse 4.
[1:16:33] Speaker 1: O Israel, thy prophets are like foxes in the desert. Uh-huh.
[1:16:38] Speaker 1: Ye have not gone up into the gaps. Neither made
[1:16:41] Speaker 1: up for the hedge of the house of Israel. To
[1:16:44] Speaker 1: stand in the battle. You know in the day of
[1:16:46] Speaker 1: the Lord. Verse 6. They have seen vanity and lying divination.
[1:16:52] Speaker 1: Saying the Lord saith. And the Lord hath not sent them.
[1:16:56] Speaker 1: And they have made others to hope. That they would
[1:16:59] Speaker 1: confirm the word. Verse 7. We are reading to 10.
[1:17:02] Speaker 1: Have ye not seen a vain vision. And have ye
[1:17:06] Speaker 1: not spoken a lying divination? Whereas ye say, the Lord
[1:17:10] Speaker 1: said it, albeit I have not spoken. Verse 8. Therefore,
[1:17:15] Speaker 1: thus saith the Lord God, because ye have spoken vanity
[1:17:18] Speaker 1: and seen lies. Therefore, behold, I am against you, saith
[1:17:22] Speaker 1: the Lord. Verse 9. It says, and my hand shall
[1:17:28] Speaker 1: be upon the prophets that see vanity and that divine lies.
[1:17:33] Speaker 1: And shall not be in the assembly of my people.
[1:17:35] Speaker 1: Neither shall they be written in the writings of the
[1:17:38] Speaker 1: house of Israel. Neither shall they enter into the land
[1:17:41] Speaker 1: of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the
[1:17:44] Speaker 1: Lord thy God.
[1:17:45] Speaker 5: Verse 10.
[1:17:47] Speaker 2: It says.
[1:17:49] Speaker 1: Because. Even because they have seduced my people saying peace
[1:17:54] Speaker 1: and there was no peace. And one built up a
[1:17:57] Speaker 1: wall and lo, others have daubed it with untempered mortar.
[1:18:01] Speaker 1: Let's add 11, the last verse. It says, say unto
[1:18:05] Speaker 1: them which daubed it with untempered mortar that it shall
[1:18:09] Speaker 1: fall and shall be an overflowing shower. And you know
[1:18:12] Speaker 1: this and that. He was rending judgment upon them. The
[1:18:16] Speaker 1: prophets that lie, the word prophet there does not just
[1:18:19] Speaker 1: mean prophetic office. It includes any and all men of
[1:18:23] Speaker 1: God and any and all leaders. In Acts chapter 16,
[1:18:27] Speaker 1: a very popular scripture, you know about that from verse 16.
[1:18:30] Speaker 1: The Bible talks about a young damsel who had the
[1:18:33] Speaker 1: spirit of divination. Give us Acts 16, 16. We're reading
[1:18:38] Speaker 1: to 18. And it came to pass that as we
[1:18:40] Speaker 1: went to prayer, a certain damn self possessed with a
[1:18:44] Speaker 1: spirit of divination.
[1:18:46] Speaker 2: Possessed with what? A spirit of divination.
[1:18:49] Speaker 1: Met us which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying
[1:18:55] Speaker 1: the same followed Paul and us and cried saying look
[1:18:58] Speaker 1: at the accuracy of her prophecy these men are the
[1:19:02] Speaker 1: servants of the most high God was it a lie
[1:19:05] Speaker 1: which show us the way of salvation was it a
[1:19:08] Speaker 1: lie that was the best summary of the assignment there
[1:19:11] Speaker 1: and yet the spirit that was behind it was the
[1:19:13] Speaker 1: spirit of divination the bible says and deeds did she
[1:19:18] Speaker 1: many days but paul being grieved turned and said to
[1:19:22] Speaker 1: the spirit i command in the name of jesus christ
[1:19:25] Speaker 1: to come out of her and the spirit came out
[1:19:28] Speaker 1: the same hour please look up let me tell you
[1:19:31] Speaker 1: the truth It is no news and it is nothing
[1:19:35] Speaker 1: to shy away from. That not all who name the
[1:19:40] Speaker 1: name of Christ, not all who are involved in ministry
[1:19:43] Speaker 1: and spiritual leadership are sincerely from God. There is no need,
[1:19:48] Speaker 1: it is not about prejudice or biases. But let me
[1:19:51] Speaker 1: say this. There are people who have mixed the baby
[1:19:54] Speaker 1: and the bath water together. and call everybody who prophesies
[1:19:59] Speaker 1: everybody who walks miracles anybody with an unusual manifestation of
[1:20:04] Speaker 1: the grace of god upon his life it is easy
[1:20:07] Speaker 1: for society to brand you and to say there's something
[1:20:10] Speaker 1: wrong with you it is amazing how we say we
[1:20:12] Speaker 1: believe in god it is amazing how we say we
[1:20:15] Speaker 1: believe in all the miracles that happen in the bible
[1:20:17] Speaker 1: and yet when they happen here and now we are
[1:20:20] Speaker 1: afraid of them it means we never believed it are
[1:20:24] Speaker 1: we together It is no news that many people... Let
[1:20:27] Speaker 1: me tell you this. I teach the school of ministry
[1:20:30] Speaker 1: that when it has to do with purity of vessels,
[1:20:33] Speaker 1: there are three kinds of people.
[1:20:35] Speaker 2: Number one, there are those we call the pure breed.
[1:20:37] Speaker 1: Those who sincerely love God and have worked in keeping
[1:20:41] Speaker 1: with the divine patterns.
[1:20:42] Speaker 2: That make for the purity of ministry.
[1:20:45] Speaker 1: They have not soiled their hands with divination or any
[1:20:47] Speaker 1: satanic thing. Number two, there are those who are innocent
[1:20:51] Speaker 1: and sincere.
[1:20:52] Speaker 2: Their call is genuine.
[1:20:54] Speaker 1: But wrong mentorship or pressure or ignorance led them to
[1:20:58] Speaker 1: go and fraternize with groups, associations, or mentorship platforms that
[1:21:03] Speaker 1: introduced them. So these are people who are not evil.
[1:21:07] Speaker 1: They are only corrupted. Then the third category are people
[1:21:11] Speaker 1: who from the inception, they were not of God. Are
[1:21:15] Speaker 1: we together now? So it is important to create this divide.
[1:21:20] Speaker 1: Do not watch anybody walking supernaturally in the power of
[1:21:23] Speaker 1: God or prophesying or with an unusual dimension of the
[1:21:27] Speaker 1: operation of the spirit and just brand them and say
[1:21:30] Speaker 1: these are demonic. It is not so. If Jesus were
[1:21:33] Speaker 1: alive and he walked on earth, would have called him
[1:21:36] Speaker 1: heretic as the scribes did.
[1:21:38] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[1:21:39] Speaker 1: Look at the many things Jesus did. He spat on
[1:21:42] Speaker 1: the ground. Would you sit down for a man of God,
[1:21:44] Speaker 1: even Jesus Christ? What kind of a Jesus would spit
[1:21:47] Speaker 1: on the ground and rub it on your eyes and say,
[1:21:49] Speaker 1: go to a river? Does that look like compassion? He
[1:21:52] Speaker 1: didn't even leave me there. And yet the Bible says
[1:21:55] Speaker 1: he leaves me beside still waters. Now he's sending me
[1:21:57] Speaker 1: and saying, go by yourself. Are we together? Many times
[1:22:04] Speaker 1: we love Jesus just because he's not here. if it
[1:22:07] Speaker 1: comes to the earth after one week many of us
[1:22:09] Speaker 1: will be tired and say go back we don't understand
[1:22:12] Speaker 1: you again.
[1:22:15] Speaker 2: But i can tell you the truth.
[1:22:17] Speaker 1: By the authority of scripture and the evidences that scripture
[1:22:22] Speaker 1: show that there are people who have fraternized with all
[1:22:26] Speaker 1: kinds of dark powers and and demonic things now let
[1:22:31] Speaker 1: me tell you this please look up in the.
[1:22:33] Speaker 2: Kingdom It is not all about results.
[1:22:36] Speaker 1: The pathway that leads to that result is how God
[1:22:39] Speaker 1: is glorified, not the result in itself.
[1:22:42] Speaker 2: There is a way you can.
[1:22:44] Speaker 1: Practice healing, practice deliverance, practice your faith life in a
[1:22:50] Speaker 1: way that it is an extra biblical practice. The believer
[1:22:53] Speaker 1: is bound to the provisions that scripture allows. Are we
[1:22:57] Speaker 1: together now? All things are lawful, but the Bible says
[1:23:01] Speaker 1: all things are not expedient. That means to be a
[1:23:04] Speaker 1: sound man of God. It's not about clamoring for acceptance,
[1:23:08] Speaker 1: but it's important to limit your operation ministerially and in
[1:23:12] Speaker 1: any kind of spiritual leadership to the provisions that the
[1:23:16] Speaker 1: Bible allows. Now, the truth is that if you are
[1:23:21] Speaker 1: a man of the Spirit, you are going to be
[1:23:24] Speaker 1: led of the Spirit. And sometimes you will be led
[1:23:26] Speaker 1: of the Spirit in a way that may be strange
[1:23:28] Speaker 1: to the natural man. I must tell you that. But
[1:23:32] Speaker 1: you see, the beautiful thing about the Holy Spirit is
[1:23:35] Speaker 1: that the purity of His leadership to you will be
[1:23:38] Speaker 1: known by those that you are manifesting.
[1:23:41] Speaker 2: No matter how strange it is, they.
[1:23:43] Speaker 1: Will have a witness of the Spirit that you are
[1:23:45] Speaker 1: not acting based on the influence of a spirit of divination.
[1:23:52] Speaker 1: For instance, there is no instant maturity in the Bible.
[1:23:56] Speaker 2: People do not become matured.
[1:23:58] Speaker 1: Instantly so for you to be greatly used by god
[1:24:02] Speaker 1: there must be a track record of growth even if
[1:24:05] Speaker 1: you are called into the prophetic and the apostolic ministry
[1:24:08] Speaker 1: there is no instant maturity nobody comes out of nowhere
[1:24:11] Speaker 1: the bible is full of the pathway for spiritual growth
[1:24:15] Speaker 1: and manifestation there must be a track record of growth
[1:24:19] Speaker 1: and jesus increased luke 2 52 in wisdom stature and
[1:24:24] Speaker 1: favor with god and with men The way we have
[1:24:31] Speaker 1: marketed ministry, especially with the gospel of wealth and abundance, unfortunately,
[1:24:35] Speaker 1: is what has driven Nigeria and even Africa into the search,
[1:24:40] Speaker 1: especially the apostolic and the prophetic, because they seem to
[1:24:44] Speaker 1: look like the most charismatic of the fivefold. If I
[1:24:47] Speaker 1: say I am an apostle or a prophet and I prophesy,
[1:24:51] Speaker 1: chances are that somebody can give me a car in
[1:24:53] Speaker 1: one day, can give me a building in one day.
[1:24:55] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[1:24:58] Speaker 1: Someone can come to see me, maybe a governor or
[1:25:01] Speaker 1: a president, man of God. Now that it's election time,
[1:25:04] Speaker 1: should I go? And most times the man will not
[1:25:06] Speaker 1: come alone. He may come with honorarium to come and
[1:25:09] Speaker 1: greet the prophet of God. And that honorarium can be serious.
[1:25:12] Speaker 1: It can carry a man's destiny and give him one day.
[1:25:16] Speaker 1: So many people because of that, I'm not being sarcastic.
[1:25:20] Speaker 1: Many people because of that, when they fail in every
[1:25:23] Speaker 1: other area of their life, they say, do you know what?
[1:25:25] Speaker 2: This thing, I am tired.
[1:25:27] Speaker 1: Have you noticed that every time there is a corruption
[1:25:30] Speaker 1: in the prophetic, the apostolic or spiritual leadership, the end
[1:25:34] Speaker 1: result is always money, material things, fame. I want a name.
[1:25:39] Speaker 1: I want everybody to know I am the person. Scene
[1:25:45] Speaker 1: number three. Witchcraft and extra biblical practices.
[1:25:56] Speaker 2: Write for reference. We may not read it for time.
[1:25:58] Speaker 1: Acts chapter 8 from verse 9 down to 23. You
[1:26:02] Speaker 1: want to enjoy the reading? Read from Amplified. There was
[1:26:05] Speaker 1: a sorcerer called Simeon. When Philip went down to Samaria,
[1:26:09] Speaker 1: the Bible says, and he preached Christ to them.
[1:26:12] Speaker 2: And the Bible says, they.
[1:26:13] Speaker 1: With one accord gave heed, seeing and hearing the miracles
[1:26:17] Speaker 1: which he did. And there was somebody called Simon. He
[1:26:21] Speaker 1: was a sorcerer. The Bible says he made a lot
[1:26:25] Speaker 1: of money. In fact, the people captioned him the great
[1:26:28] Speaker 1: power of God. That was a title they gave him
[1:26:31] Speaker 1: because of the level of his spiritual exploits. His ministry
[1:26:35] Speaker 1: ended when the apostles now started coming there. And the
[1:26:39] Speaker 1: Bible says he was convicted genuinely. He went for Philip's crusade.
[1:26:44] Speaker 1: And when Philip preached, listen carefully, the guy was converted.
[1:26:47] Speaker 1: He was even baptized. So when they send James and
[1:26:51] Speaker 1: John now, And they went there and he saw that
[1:26:55] Speaker 1: through the laying on of hands, he saw another dimension
[1:26:58] Speaker 1: that was not captured in his practice. That they just
[1:27:00] Speaker 1: laid hands and people were getting filled. Do you know
[1:27:03] Speaker 1: what he did? He cornered Peter and John and told them,
[1:27:08] Speaker 1: he said, please, I have money. I can give you money.
[1:27:11] Speaker 1: Let me add to this. You see that he was
[1:27:14] Speaker 1: saved but not transformed. There are many people who are
[1:27:19] Speaker 1: born again. But when the going gets tough, they still
[1:27:23] Speaker 1: attend to all kinds of things. There are believers that
[1:27:25] Speaker 1: still do masquerades. I'm not saying attend the festival. They
[1:27:33] Speaker 1: bought the regalia. They have it. Yours is the kingdom.
[1:27:42] Speaker 1: Yours is the power. Yours. Is the glory forever.
[1:27:50] Speaker 2: Amen.
[1:27:52] Speaker 1: Yours. Is the kingdom. Yours. Is the power. Yours. Is
[1:28:01] Speaker 1: the glory forever. Amen. Yeshua. Amen.
[1:28:19] Speaker 6: Yes what is the solution to witchcraft and extra biblical.
[1:28:32] Speaker 1: Practices two scriptures very quickly 2 Corinthians chapter 4 from
[1:28:41] Speaker 1: verse 1 and 2. Perhaps you are a man of
[1:28:43] Speaker 1: God listening to me. Perhaps you are a young minister
[1:28:46] Speaker 1: who is beginning to start. And your passion, you are driving,
[1:28:49] Speaker 1: you want to do this ministry by fire, by force.
[1:28:53] Speaker 1: Let me give you a strong word of advice. Therefore
[1:28:56] Speaker 1: seeing we have this ministry. As we have received mercy,
[1:29:02] Speaker 1: we faint not. Verse 2. It says, but have renounced
[1:29:06] Speaker 1: the hidden things of dishonesty, not working in craftiness, nor
[1:29:12] Speaker 1: handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of
[1:29:17] Speaker 1: the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the
[1:29:22] Speaker 1: sight of God. Give us Hebrews 12 and verse 28.
[1:29:26] Speaker 1: So you must renounce the hidden works of dishonesty. The
[1:29:29] Speaker 1: Bible says, wherefore, Hebrews 12, 28, receiving a kingdom, wherefore we,
[1:29:37] Speaker 1: receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved. It says, let
[1:29:40] Speaker 1: us have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with
[1:29:46] Speaker 1: reverence and godly fear. What then is the cure to
[1:29:51] Speaker 1: witchcraft and extra-biblical practices? Fear God. Fear God. Fear God.
[1:29:59] Speaker 1: When you fear God sincerely, you will love his people
[1:30:02] Speaker 1: too much to deceive and manipulate them.
[1:30:05] Speaker 2: When you fear God, you will love his people too much.
[1:30:08] Speaker 1: Are we together? To send them all kinds of text
[1:30:11] Speaker 1: messages with lying prophecies. I saw this about you. Make
[1:30:14] Speaker 1: sure you are in church tomorrow. No, don't do that. Again, remember,
[1:30:21] Speaker 1: do not forget that all we teach is from a
[1:30:23] Speaker 1: standpoint of love and not self-righteousness. No, we are all
[1:30:27] Speaker 1: but products of God's mercy. But the truth must be spoken,
[1:30:32] Speaker 1: even if it is in love.
[1:30:34] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[1:30:36] Speaker 1: Witchcraft. Scene number four, that the church needs to be,
[1:30:42] Speaker 1: are you tired? That the church needs to be purged of.
[1:30:47] Speaker 1: Write it down please. Pride.
[1:30:49] Speaker 2: Vainglory.
[1:30:50] Speaker 1: And self-centeredness. This is the fourth cancer. That God wants
[1:30:55] Speaker 1: to take out of the church. For her to be
[1:30:58] Speaker 1: a purified church. Sin.
[1:31:02] Speaker 2: Vainglory. And self-centeredness.
[1:31:05] Speaker 1: James chapter 4 and verse 6 immediately tells us. James
[1:31:10] Speaker 1: 4 verse 6. That God giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith,
[1:31:15] Speaker 1: God resisteth the proud.
[1:31:17] Speaker 2: Please shout it.
[1:31:18] Speaker 1: God resisteth the proud. One more time please. It is
[1:31:26] Speaker 1: important for you to know who is going to fight
[1:31:29] Speaker 1: you when you are proud. If it is a demon
[1:31:31] Speaker 1: that fights you, the anointing can help you. But when
[1:31:34] Speaker 1: the owner of the anointing is the one fighting you,
[1:31:36] Speaker 1: will you bring an anointing to fight him? God resisted
[1:31:40] Speaker 1: the proud, but he gives grace to the humble. Luke
[1:31:43] Speaker 1: chapter 18, please. From verse 9 to 14. Luke 18
[1:31:48] Speaker 1: starts with the teaching on prayer. Most times we just
[1:31:51] Speaker 1: read the prayer part and we stop. But here's what
[1:31:54] Speaker 1: the Bible says. He spake this parable unto certain which
[1:31:58] Speaker 1: trusted in themselves.
[1:32:00] Speaker 2: Are you seeing now?
[1:32:01] Speaker 1: He's talking about those who trust in themselves that they
[1:32:04] Speaker 1: were righteous and despised others. Ten. Two men went up
[1:32:10] Speaker 1: into the temple to pray. Jesus is speaking now. One
[1:32:13] Speaker 1: was a Pharisee and one was a publican, an ordinary person.
[1:32:17] Speaker 1: The Pharisees stood up and hear what he prayed. The
[1:32:20] Speaker 1: Bible says he preached those with himself. God, I thank thee.
[1:32:26] Speaker 1: This is his prayer now. That I am not as
[1:32:29] Speaker 1: the other men are. Does that sound like how we
[1:32:32] Speaker 1: behave in the church?
[1:32:34] Speaker 2: Believers.
[1:32:35] Speaker 1: We stand with self-righteousness full of ourselves.
[1:32:39] Speaker 2: I thank you because I am not as other men are.
[1:32:42] Speaker 1: Extortioners, unjust, adulterers, and even this publican who is standing
[1:32:48] Speaker 1: by my side. Verse 12. He's praying. Somebody else came
[1:32:53] Speaker 1: to pray. I fast twice in a week. He's reading
[1:32:57] Speaker 1: his credentials before God now. I give tithes of all
[1:33:01] Speaker 1: that I possess. 13. And the publican, what is his
[1:33:06] Speaker 1: business with the publican? That is the character of pride.
[1:33:10] Speaker 1: It never focuses on its own thing. It will have
[1:33:12] Speaker 1: to use a basis to contrast. And the publican standing
[1:33:16] Speaker 1: afar off, look at what he said, would not even
[1:33:20] Speaker 1: lift up so much his eyes unto the heavens, but
[1:33:23] Speaker 1: smote his breast saying, God be merciful unto me a sinner.
[1:33:28] Speaker 2: Next verse, 14.
[1:33:30] Speaker 1: I tell you, Jesus is speaking now. Jesus assessed two
[1:33:34] Speaker 1: people who went to pray. This man went down to
[1:33:37] Speaker 1: his house justified, the publican, rather than the other. For
[1:33:41] Speaker 1: everyone that exalted himself shall be abased, brought low. And
[1:33:47] Speaker 1: he that humbled himself shall be exalted. I submit to
[1:33:52] Speaker 1: you sincerely that the body of Christ, in as much
[1:33:55] Speaker 1: as we have commended a lot of things, we must
[1:33:58] Speaker 1: trust God for grace to manage pride. Among we men
[1:34:02] Speaker 1: of God, among members, among politicians, among successful people, pride, vainglory,
[1:34:10] Speaker 1: and self-centeredness. Romans chapter 12 from verse 1 and 6.
[1:34:17] Speaker 2: God is speaking to us tonight.
[1:34:19] Speaker 1: I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the message of God,
[1:34:22] Speaker 1: he says, to present your bodies unto God as a
[1:34:25] Speaker 1: living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your
[1:34:29] Speaker 1: reasonable act of worship.
[1:34:30] Speaker 2: Verse 2.
[1:34:31] Speaker 1: He says, do not be conformed to this world, but
[1:34:34] Speaker 1: be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that
[1:34:37] Speaker 1: ye may prove that which is good and acceptable and
[1:34:40] Speaker 1: perfect will of God. Now, pay attention.
[1:34:43] Speaker 2: Verse 3. For I say.
[1:34:45] Speaker 1: Through the grace given me to every man.
[1:34:48] Speaker 2: That is among you. Watch this now. It's a warning.
[1:34:51] Speaker 1: Not to think of himself more highly than he ought
[1:34:55] Speaker 1: to think. But to think soberly according as God has
[1:35:00] Speaker 1: dealt to every man the measure of faith. Verse 4.
[1:35:05] Speaker 1: For as ye have many members in the body. And
[1:35:08] Speaker 1: he said, all members have not the same office. That
[1:35:12] Speaker 1: means if you are proud, it is because you do
[1:35:14] Speaker 1: not recognize that there are diversities within the body. So
[1:35:18] Speaker 1: we being many are one body in Christ. And everyone
[1:35:23] Speaker 1: members of another. Verse 6, the last verse now. It says,
[1:35:26] Speaker 1: having then gifts, differing according to the grace that is
[1:35:31] Speaker 1: given to us. Whether it is prophecy, let us prophesy
[1:35:35] Speaker 1: according to the proportion of faith. And then it continues
[1:35:38] Speaker 1: like that. But he's saying you have to be careful.
[1:35:41] Speaker 1: Do not exalt yourself in your own eyes more highly. Listen,
[1:35:46] Speaker 1: I learned this about men. It is about you, but
[1:35:50] Speaker 1: not all about you. It's a revelation we must have
[1:35:53] Speaker 1: as leaders, as believers. When everything becomes about you, and
[1:36:00] Speaker 1: it's a mistake we make as men of God, we
[1:36:03] Speaker 1: clamor to be the focus and the epicenter of everything. Self-centeredness.
[1:36:12] Speaker 1: Is someone learning? The sin of pride. The sin of vainglory.
[1:36:18] Speaker 1: Do you know? Way before the sin of sexual immorality.
[1:36:22] Speaker 1: Way before the sin of other perversions. Way before the
[1:36:26] Speaker 1: sin of witchcraft. That one sin was the sin of
[1:36:31] Speaker 1: pride and treason.
[1:36:32] Speaker 2: Satan.
[1:36:33] Speaker 1: I will exalt myself above the stars of God. So
[1:36:36] Speaker 1: it is an old sin. I will be like the
[1:36:41] Speaker 1: most high. Self-centeredness. You must get to a point where
[1:36:49] Speaker 1: you appreciate the fact that you are only one of many.
[1:36:55] Speaker 1: As a businessman, as a man of God, I am
[1:36:58] Speaker 1: only one of many across the body of Christ, globally,
[1:37:03] Speaker 1: in Africa, and in this nation, who have obtained mercy
[1:37:08] Speaker 1: by God to make a very meaningful contribution towards kingdom come.
[1:37:13] Speaker 1: When I suggest to myself that it is all about me.
[1:37:17] Speaker 1: There is trouble.
[1:37:19] Speaker 2: Is someone learning?
[1:37:21] Speaker 1: Especially for young ministers who God is helping to come up.
[1:37:24] Speaker 1: Or younger ministers I would say. Because we are all young.
[1:37:27] Speaker 1: Younger ministers who are coming up. We have to be careful.
[1:37:31] Speaker 3: Pride.
[1:37:33] Speaker 1: The pulpit should not be a place of pride. There
[1:37:36] Speaker 1: is too much pride and vainglory. And it is because
[1:37:40] Speaker 1: of that that it leads us into all kinds of lies.
[1:37:44] Speaker 1: Are we together? Oh, I held a meeting and 100,000
[1:37:49] Speaker 1: people came to my church. And out of them, 10,000
[1:37:51] Speaker 1: people got up on wheelchairs.
[1:37:53] Speaker 2: Abba. It's all about.
[1:38:00] Speaker 1: You, Jesus. And all this is for you. It's for
[1:38:12] Speaker 1: your glory and your fame. It's not about me. As
[1:38:20] Speaker 1: if you should do things my way. You alone are
[1:38:25] Speaker 1: God and I surrender. Let me tell you the truth.
[1:38:32] Speaker 1: I submit to you my dear people. The person talking
[1:38:35] Speaker 1: to you has seen the mercy and the glory of God.
[1:38:39] Speaker 1: I'm not speaking in ignorance. I have stood before kings.
[1:38:42] Speaker 1: I have stood before nobles. God has honored me with
[1:38:45] Speaker 1: what many people will not get in many lifetimes.
[1:38:48] Speaker 2: I submit to you.
[1:38:50] Speaker 1: So if there is something to boast about, the person
[1:38:53] Speaker 1: standing before you can beat his chest and we can speak.
[1:38:56] Speaker 1: God has elevated us and honored us and given us
[1:38:59] Speaker 1: visibility across the globe. If there is anything to make
[1:39:03] Speaker 1: noise about, we can beat our chest. We have stood
[1:39:06] Speaker 1: before kings. God has brought kings and heads of governments
[1:39:10] Speaker 1: and leaders to become sons and mentees. But we count
[1:39:14] Speaker 1: everything like Paul but dung for the excellency of Christ.
[1:39:23] Speaker 1: So by the privilege of God's grace and by the
[1:39:27] Speaker 1: privilege of results.
[1:39:28] Speaker 2: I have a right to say what I'm saying. When
[1:39:32] Speaker 2: we speak like this, we.
[1:39:34] Speaker 1: Do not speak, it is not to downplay or.
[1:39:37] Speaker 2: Demean what God has made.
[1:39:40] Speaker 1: If we begin to read the credentials of our accomplishments
[1:39:43] Speaker 1: and the things that God is doing in and through
[1:39:45] Speaker 1: us across the nations. And many of you here, Koinonia
[1:39:49] Speaker 1: here is a collection of extremely successful people. There are
[1:39:54] Speaker 1: billionaires in this place. There are multi-millionaires. There are successful people, politicians,
[1:40:00] Speaker 1: business people, heads of conglomerates. Some of them do not,
[1:40:04] Speaker 1: they are not even in this main auditorium. They are
[1:40:06] Speaker 1: somewhere scattered in the overflow. Our global family is full
[1:40:10] Speaker 1: of extremely successful people. Some of them I do not
[1:40:14] Speaker 1: even know them myself. The days I meet them or
[1:40:16] Speaker 1: communicate with them, I am surprised that this is what
[1:40:20] Speaker 1: God has given. It is easy for me to stand
[1:40:23] Speaker 1: and beat my chest. And if anyone talks, I say,
[1:40:26] Speaker 1: see my result. Bring your own first before you talk.
[1:40:28] Speaker 1: But we count this for strong. God has lifted us
[1:40:32] Speaker 1: to be able to, by the privilege of God's grace,
[1:40:35] Speaker 1: use our life to help mentor nations. That when God
[1:40:38] Speaker 1: lifts you, your assignment is to be as an usher
[1:40:42] Speaker 1: to lift him. And forever, for as long as we live,
[1:40:47] Speaker 1: it will always be Jesus revealed and Jesus glorified. Jesus
[1:40:58] Speaker 1: revealed and Jesus glorified. Acknowledge the truth and what God
[1:41:04] Speaker 1: is doing in your life, but be careful. Pride and vainglory.
[1:41:09] Speaker 1: When it becomes all about Joshua Selman, there is trouble.
[1:41:15] Speaker 1: Are we together? Because that means all the people who
[1:41:18] Speaker 1: I teach and mentor and raise will have to follow
[1:41:21] Speaker 1: that template. And it's going to be the extended consequence
[1:41:26] Speaker 1: is the body of Christ will have a lot of problems.
[1:41:29] Speaker 1: I pray and look forward to times when successful people
[1:41:32] Speaker 1: will come together and roll on the ground before the
[1:41:35] Speaker 1: nations and say, we are doing this for you, Jesus.
[1:41:38] Speaker 1: And like Paul, like it.
[1:41:42] Speaker 2: Was David, who was returning back.
[1:41:45] Speaker 1: The ark was being taken back and he was dancing
[1:41:48] Speaker 1: in an undignified manner. And Saul's daughter looked at him
[1:41:51] Speaker 1: and said, look what you are doing. You are bringing
[1:41:54] Speaker 1: shame to yourself. why are you doing this you say
[1:41:57] Speaker 1: i'm dancing before the god who took the kingdom from
[1:42:00] Speaker 1: your father and gave to me god had her and
[1:42:03] Speaker 1: she died barring hallelujah when i hear and see the
[1:42:10] Speaker 1: mighty things that god is doing in and through our
[1:42:12] Speaker 1: lives you know sometimes i just stand before the mirror
[1:42:16] Speaker 1: And I say, Lord, please show mercy. Show mercy that
[1:42:19] Speaker 1: by your spirit, we never get to a point where
[1:42:22] Speaker 1: there are plots of men. Now, people will clap. People
[1:42:25] Speaker 1: will sincerely appreciate. There is a difference between simplicity and humility.
[1:42:31] Speaker 1: You can be a simple person and still be proud.
[1:42:34] Speaker 1: Are we together now? Yes. We're talking about a recognition
[1:42:39] Speaker 1: where the nations will know that Jesus Christ is the
[1:42:43] Speaker 1: one who has done this. But that spirit of pride... Also,
[1:42:47] Speaker 1: let me tell you the character of pride. It downplays
[1:42:50] Speaker 1: the contribution of others and desires for you to stand out.
[1:42:55] Speaker 1: That is a problem. So when you look at Koinonia,
[1:42:58] Speaker 1: all you see is Joshua Selman and you do not
[1:43:01] Speaker 1: see the people who are making this happen. And if
[1:43:03] Speaker 1: for any reason you want to, even if it's a
[1:43:06] Speaker 1: little pat on the back, I create systems that prohibit them.
[1:43:10] Speaker 1: Why are you clapping for the guy playing keyboard? Can
[1:43:12] Speaker 1: he do Bible study like me? How many verses has
[1:43:14] Speaker 1: he given you? So the center... Sometimes we do it unconsciously,
[1:43:20] Speaker 1: but it is a sin that the body must be
[1:43:22] Speaker 1: purged from. If we are together, say amen. What is
[1:43:27] Speaker 1: the cure for pride and vainglory? It's found in John
[1:43:32] Speaker 1: chapter 3 from verse 22 to 30.
[1:43:33] Speaker 2: John 3, 22 to 30.
[1:43:39] Speaker 1: After these things, Jesus came to Judea and the Bible
[1:43:42] Speaker 1: says he tarried and was about to be baptized.
[1:43:44] Speaker 2: Let's read very quickly. The Bible says John was also baptizing.
[1:43:48] Speaker 2: Watch this now.
[1:43:49] Speaker 1: John was baptizing near Salim because there was much water there.
[1:43:54] Speaker 1: And people came and were being baptized. Watch what happened now.
[1:43:57] Speaker 1: For John was not yet cast into prison. You know,
[1:44:00] Speaker 1: I used to think John stopped baptism after he announced Jesus.
[1:44:04] Speaker 1: But I got to find out that he continued his thing.
[1:44:07] Speaker 1: And there arose a question between some of John's disciples
[1:44:11] Speaker 1: and the Jews about purifying 26. And they came to
[1:44:15] Speaker 1: John and said, Rabbi, he that was with you beyond
[1:44:19] Speaker 1: the Jordan, whom thou bearest witness, behold, the same.
[1:44:23] Speaker 2: Has started baptizing too.
[1:44:25] Speaker 1: And all men are coming to him. That was a problem.
[1:44:30] Speaker 1: And John answered and said, the answer of John must
[1:44:34] Speaker 1: become our disposition. A man can receive nothing except it
[1:44:40] Speaker 1: be given to him from heaven. 28. It says, Ye
[1:44:44] Speaker 1: yourself bear me witness that I said, I am not
[1:44:47] Speaker 1: the Christ, but I am sent before him.
[1:44:50] Speaker 2: 29.
[1:44:51] Speaker 1: He that had the bride is the bridegroom, but the
[1:44:54] Speaker 1: friend of the bridegroom which standeth and heareth him rejoiceth
[1:44:58] Speaker 1: greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. This my joy is
[1:45:02] Speaker 1: therefore fulfilled. Verse 30. He must increase.
[1:45:07] Speaker 2: And I must decrease. Notice he never said I must vanish.
[1:45:12] Speaker 1: No. I must decrease. So that he will be seen.
[1:45:17] Speaker 1: It is my prayer. First for myself as I'm preaching here.
[1:45:20] Speaker 1: That when people look at me. They will not just
[1:45:22] Speaker 1: see a celebrity. Or see whatever it is. But they
[1:45:25] Speaker 1: will see Christ crucified. And Christ glorified. Through a privileged vessel.
[1:45:31] Speaker 1: That is the greatest testimony. That I desire.
[1:45:35] Speaker 2: Sin number five.
[1:45:41] Speaker 1: The fifth sin that the body of Christ needs to
[1:45:44] Speaker 1: be purified of is called the sin of the tongue.
[1:45:48] Speaker 2: Please write it down. We are wrapping up. The sin
[1:45:51] Speaker 2: of the tongue.
[1:45:53] Speaker 1: This includes everything that can affect and destroy and corrupt
[1:45:57] Speaker 1: the body that comes through the tongue. Lying, gossip, backbiting,
[1:46:03] Speaker 1: sowing seeds of discord. They are all called the sins
[1:46:06] Speaker 1: of the tongue. Are you seeing how God is helping
[1:46:09] Speaker 1: us now? So that as God is running the list,
[1:46:12] Speaker 1: at the end of this list, if you stand and
[1:46:15] Speaker 1: beat your chest and say, I am fine, your sin
[1:46:18] Speaker 1: is this one.
[1:46:21] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[1:46:22] Speaker 1: Psalms 34, 12 and 13. Let's finish so we can pray.
[1:46:29] Speaker 1: It says, what man is he that desired life and
[1:46:32] Speaker 1: loved many days that he might see good?
[1:46:35] Speaker 2: What is that man? What does he need to do?
[1:46:38] Speaker 1: Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking guile.
[1:46:43] Speaker 1: The word guile there is lies and deception. Proverbs chapter
[1:46:48] Speaker 1: 6 from verse 16.
[1:46:50] Speaker 2: The six things that the Lord hates.
[1:46:52] Speaker 1: 6.16 These six things does the Lord hate. Yea, seven
[1:46:58] Speaker 1: are an abomination unto him. Let's read the list to 19.
[1:47:01] Speaker 1: A proud look, number one. A lying tongue.
[1:47:05] Speaker 2: Number three. Hands that shed innocent blood, number four.
[1:47:10] Speaker 1: A heart that devised wicked imaginations, number five. Feet that
[1:47:16] Speaker 1: be swift in running to mischief, number six now, verse 19.
[1:47:23] Speaker 2: A false witness that speaketh lies.
[1:47:26] Speaker 1: And then finally, he that soweth discord among brethren. The
[1:47:33] Speaker 1: sin of the tongue.
[1:47:35] Speaker 2: Can I tell you the truth?
[1:47:37] Speaker 1: There are many people today who have allowed the devil
[1:47:40] Speaker 1: to use their tongues. To divide the body of Christ?
[1:47:45] Speaker 1: Cause trouble the body of Christ? There are many believers
[1:47:49] Speaker 1: from men of God to churches to several people.
[1:47:53] Speaker 2: They are the way they.
[1:47:55] Speaker 1: Are and the body has been corrupted this much because
[1:47:59] Speaker 1: of the sin of the tongue. From gossiping to lying
[1:48:04] Speaker 1: to devising wicked imaginations because the mouth is a testimony
[1:48:08] Speaker 1: of the state of the heart. Are we together now?
[1:48:11] Speaker 1: The worst one here is he that soweth discord among brethren.
[1:48:20] Speaker 1: There are people today who cannot serve God acceptably because
[1:48:24] Speaker 1: people creep into churches, creep into families, creep into prayer
[1:48:29] Speaker 1: platforms and so sees. Now I submit to you that
[1:48:32] Speaker 1: there is no church globally that is immune from this.
[1:48:36] Speaker 1: You will always have people Who will sow seeds of discord.
[1:48:40] Speaker 1: There are many homes today. Christian homes and marriages. That
[1:48:44] Speaker 1: are in disarray. Simply because there are people who sow
[1:48:48] Speaker 1: seeds of discord. Ah daddy. I need to tell you something.
[1:48:53] Speaker 1: I saw mommy preparing your food. And after she finished.
[1:48:56] Speaker 1: She held something that was looking like Maggie. But it
[1:48:59] Speaker 1: was the way she was sprinkling the thing.
[1:49:02] Speaker 2: And the man. Brings the food to the man. And
[1:49:04] Speaker 2: the man said no no I'm okay.
[1:49:05] Speaker 1: What happened?
[1:49:06] Speaker 6: I'm okay.
[1:49:07] Speaker 1: I'm okay. And then comes to the woman and says,
[1:49:10] Speaker 1: I saw daddy, he was writing something, a check. And
[1:49:15] Speaker 1: I think I saw him giving one woman or something.
[1:49:17] Speaker 1: And the woman said, okay, me too. I'm going to
[1:49:20] Speaker 1: my father's house. And the person who did it will
[1:49:22] Speaker 1: keep quiet and stand somewhere. There are many people joining
[1:49:28] Speaker 1: the heads of sincere people. And join this, they say
[1:49:32] Speaker 1: this to this, they say this to that. And they
[1:49:34] Speaker 1: stand back and watch with joy. No, it ought not
[1:49:37] Speaker 1: to be so. It is a spirit and it is
[1:49:40] Speaker 1: not tell them. God is telling all of us.
[1:49:44] Speaker 2: Are we together now?
[1:49:45] Speaker 3: Yes.
[1:49:46] Speaker 1: Seeds of discord. How about lying? There are people that
[1:49:50] Speaker 1: lie like word of knowledge. You know, no rehearsal. You
[1:49:53] Speaker 1: just lie from preachers to business people. Anything they are
[1:49:58] Speaker 1: telling you, just know that you are hearing a lie.
[1:50:03] Speaker 2: Even when they are crying, it's still a lie.
[1:50:08] Speaker 1: I'm sure there are judges who already know this. As
[1:50:12] Speaker 1: soon as they enter, they just allow them to talk
[1:50:13] Speaker 1: for formality. After that, they say, please, go to prison.
[1:50:16] Speaker 1: We already know that the thing is written from head
[1:50:19] Speaker 1: to toe. Even as men of God, God needs to
[1:50:23] Speaker 1: show us mercy. We are doing our best, but all
[1:50:25] Speaker 1: these lies, exaggerations, lies. Years ago, in the seminary, they
[1:50:31] Speaker 1: taught that there was something called white lie.
[1:50:33] Speaker 2: You know, and all of those kinds of things.
[1:50:35] Speaker 1: Lie is lie. Just need mercy. At the end of
[1:50:38] Speaker 1: this teaching, all of us will need the blood of Jesus.
[1:50:40] Speaker 1: That is the summary of it. At the end of
[1:50:43] Speaker 1: this teaching, all of us are going to need the
[1:50:45] Speaker 1: blood of Jesus.
[1:50:48] Speaker 2: Praise the name of the Lord.
[1:50:51] Speaker 1: A lying tongue. Let me, what is the solution? I'll
[1:50:53] Speaker 1: just give you two scriptures. Psalm 141, 3 and 4.
[1:50:58] Speaker 1: It said, set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth
[1:51:01] Speaker 1: and keep the door of my lips.
[1:51:03] Speaker 2: Verse 4.
[1:51:05] Speaker 1: Incline not thy heart to any evil thing to practice
[1:51:08] Speaker 1: wickedness with men that work iniquity and let me not
[1:51:11] Speaker 1: eat of their dainties so he says set a guard
[1:51:14] Speaker 1: over my mouth you see the beautiful thing is that
[1:51:17] Speaker 1: you must not talk hear in your mind what you
[1:51:20] Speaker 1: want to say first and find out is it edifying
[1:51:23] Speaker 1: ephesians chapter 4 i believe verse 29 ephesians 4 and
[1:51:26] Speaker 1: 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed from your mouth.
[1:51:35] Speaker 2: Is that in your Bible?
[1:51:36] Speaker 1: But that which is good to the use of edifying,
[1:51:40] Speaker 1: that it may minister grace unto the hearers. That means
[1:51:43] Speaker 1: if you are opening your mouth to speak and it
[1:51:46] Speaker 1: is going to be gossip by biting, tearing down people,
[1:51:50] Speaker 1: he's saying let no corrupt communication proceed from your mouth.
[1:51:54] Speaker 1: Make sure that that which comes out is that which
[1:51:56] Speaker 1: will edify. It will minister grace to the hearers. If
[1:52:00] Speaker 1: you are with me, say amen. Number six. Scene number six.
[1:52:07] Speaker 1: That the Lord God of heaven. Demands that his bride.
[1:52:11] Speaker 1: The church be purified from. The church global. The church
[1:52:16] Speaker 1: in Africa. And the church in Nigeria. Is competition.
[1:52:21] Speaker 2: And unhealthy comparison.
[1:52:23] Speaker 1: Competition. And unhealthy comparison.
[1:52:27] Speaker 2: This is the sixth scene.
[1:52:29] Speaker 1: Unhealthy comparison of men. Unhealthy comparison of structures. Competition. An
[1:52:36] Speaker 1: unhealthy comparison. This has produced all kinds of unhealthy camps, cabals.
[1:52:46] Speaker 1: Do you know, it is one of the plagues that
[1:52:48] Speaker 1: has destroyed Africa and even Nigeria.
[1:52:52] Speaker 2: There are circles, people have, it has.
[1:52:54] Speaker 1: Almost become like cult-like circles. There are healthy circles that
[1:52:59] Speaker 1: make for the preservation of convictions.
[1:53:02] Speaker 2: But there are people who have stretched it.
[1:53:04] Speaker 1: If you do not belong to certain cabals, ministerial cabals,
[1:53:09] Speaker 1: it has almost become court-like. And sadly but respectfully, this
[1:53:14] Speaker 1: is even more pronounced in many parts of Africa.
[1:53:16] Speaker 2: You see this happen.
[1:53:18] Speaker 1: So younger ministers who are clamoring for attention and visibility
[1:53:22] Speaker 1: have to bend their standard because the requirement is until
[1:53:26] Speaker 1: you weave yourself into certain cabals.
[1:53:28] Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong.
[1:53:30] Speaker 1: I've told you community living is the key to preserving
[1:53:33] Speaker 1: kingdom values. And having a good network of like-minded kingdom
[1:53:39] Speaker 1: people with similar convictions is very biblical. In fact, if
[1:53:44] Speaker 1: you don't have it, then you will not have the
[1:53:47] Speaker 1: grace to be sustained and to stay. You can't just
[1:53:51] Speaker 1: because I teach about this, it does not mean that
[1:53:54] Speaker 1: you open up your heart to everything. I love the
[1:53:56] Speaker 1: body of Christ, but I have my convictions and my values.
[1:54:00] Speaker 1: There are groups, respectfully speaking, and associations that you will
[1:54:04] Speaker 1: never see me part of. Not at that current template.
[1:54:07] Speaker 1: You will not see me as part of them. Because
[1:54:09] Speaker 1: I love the Lord and I hold true the convictions
[1:54:11] Speaker 1: that I have for Him. Are we together? You will never,
[1:54:16] Speaker 1: for instance, see me bring somebody here and I tell
[1:54:19] Speaker 1: the person, your primary assignment to come here is to
[1:54:22] Speaker 1: come and raise money. I'm not saying raising money is wrong.
[1:54:25] Speaker 1: But for the purpose of deception, prophesy, manipulate the people,
[1:54:29] Speaker 1: raise the money and then we split it, maybe 50-50.
[1:54:32] Speaker 1: If he doesn't agree, we do 60-40. No, those kind
[1:54:34] Speaker 1: of things. No, it shouldn't be. Again, I'm not being sarcastic.
[1:54:38] Speaker 1: I'm just being truthful because it happens. And then competition.
[1:54:43] Speaker 1: Competition is a dangerous spirit. It should not be. Not
[1:54:48] Speaker 1: in the body of Christ. Are we together? 2 Corinthians
[1:54:52] Speaker 1: 10 from verse 12. 2 Corinthians 10 from verse 12.
[1:54:59] Speaker 1: For we dare not make ourselves of the number or
[1:55:03] Speaker 1: compare ourselves with some that commend themselves. But they measuring
[1:55:07] Speaker 1: themselves with themselves and comparing themselves among themselves.
[1:55:11] Speaker 2: The Bible says are not wise.
[1:55:13] Speaker 1: Next verse. The Bible says, but we will not boast
[1:55:17] Speaker 1: of things without our measure or outside of our measure.
[1:55:22] Speaker 1: You want to understand this, you have to look at
[1:55:24] Speaker 1: it from amplified.
[1:55:24] Speaker 2: Give us amplified. Amplified and then we'll read from there.
[1:55:32] Speaker 1: It says we on the other hand will not boast
[1:55:34] Speaker 1: beyond our legitimate province and proper limit. But we will
[1:55:39] Speaker 1: keep within the limits of our commission which God has
[1:55:43] Speaker 1: allotted us by the measuring line which reaches and includes
[1:55:48] Speaker 1: even you.
[1:55:48] Speaker 2: Are we together now?
[1:55:50] Speaker 1: Yes.
[1:55:50] Speaker 2: 14.
[1:55:53] Speaker 1: It says, for we are not overstepping the limits of
[1:55:56] Speaker 1: our province. And stretching beyond our ability to reach. As
[1:56:00] Speaker 1: though we reached not and had no legitimate mission to you.
[1:56:03] Speaker 2: For we were the very first to come to you.
[1:56:06] Speaker 1: Even as far to you with the good news of
[1:56:08] Speaker 1: the gospel of Christ.
[1:56:09] Speaker 2: Reading to 18. Next verse please.
[1:56:12] Speaker 1: We do not boast therefore beyond our proper limit.
[1:56:16] Speaker 2: Over other men's labor.
[1:56:19] Speaker 1: But we have the hope and confident expectation.
[1:56:23] Speaker 2: That as your faith continues to.
[1:56:25] Speaker 1: Grow, our field among you will be greatly enlarged, still
[1:56:29] Speaker 1: within the limits of our commission. Just read the remaining
[1:56:33] Speaker 1: down to 18. He's trying to say that, listen, we
[1:56:36] Speaker 1: are not here in competition. God has given us jurisdiction
[1:56:41] Speaker 1: and we respect it. And if for any reason we boast,
[1:56:44] Speaker 1: we do it within our predefined jurisdiction. Are we together?
[1:56:52] Speaker 1: It is an attitude that we must carry. As men
[1:56:54] Speaker 1: of God. As business people. Within the body of Christ. Competition.
[1:57:02] Speaker 1: An unhealthy comparison. It must be avoided. We must run
[1:57:06] Speaker 1: away from it. We must never allow ourselves to be
[1:57:10] Speaker 1: victims of it. I have taught you here in Koinonia.
[1:57:13] Speaker 1: That more than Koinonia. Our assignment is the body of Christ.
[1:57:19] Speaker 2: I have taught you that.
[1:57:21] Speaker 1: Are we together? If I stop you and I rob
[1:57:24] Speaker 1: you from enjoying the diversity of the body simply because
[1:57:29] Speaker 1: of me, I would have cheated you because it is
[1:57:32] Speaker 1: not everything you need that God gave me. As much
[1:57:35] Speaker 1: as I love you, there are things that are needed
[1:57:38] Speaker 1: in your life that is not within the scope of
[1:57:40] Speaker 1: my graceful assignment. That is where other members of the
[1:57:43] Speaker 1: body come. Are we together now? They can supply to
[1:57:46] Speaker 1: you dimensions that I may not be able to supply.
[1:57:49] Speaker 1: Or to the degree they supply. Recognizing that gives you
[1:57:53] Speaker 1: a sense of appreciation for what God is doing across
[1:57:56] Speaker 1: the body. Believing that Koinonia is the only ministry making impact.
[1:58:02] Speaker 1: Believing that Joshua Selman is the only man of God
[1:58:05] Speaker 1: making his deception. I've told you that most of these
[1:58:09] Speaker 1: things come from ourselves. backgrounds we come from Africa a
[1:58:12] Speaker 1: background of deprivation so when God begins to use us
[1:58:16] Speaker 1: the backlog of some of these things the appetite to
[1:58:19] Speaker 1: outshine you know I travel a lot and when I
[1:58:21] Speaker 1: travel across regions Sometimes they are very excited that I'm coming.
[1:58:25] Speaker 1: There are nations that I'm coming to now. And you
[1:58:27] Speaker 1: can't imagine the excitement that is happening. But I am
[1:58:30] Speaker 1: very quick to let the men of God, the leaders,
[1:58:34] Speaker 1: the captains of industry know there that it's not a
[1:58:36] Speaker 1: celebrity that is coming.
[1:58:38] Speaker 2: It is an ambassador.
[1:58:40] Speaker 1: And I am coming as a contributor to what God
[1:58:43] Speaker 1: is already doing. I am not coming to outshine and
[1:58:46] Speaker 1: downplay and rubbish other men of God. Rubbish other ministries
[1:58:50] Speaker 1: and make it look like nobody is doing anything serious
[1:58:54] Speaker 1: except me.
[1:58:55] Speaker 2: I will be in deception.
[1:58:56] Speaker 1: Because God is an indictment on the ministry of the
[1:58:59] Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. To believe you are the only one who
[1:59:03] Speaker 1: is effective. The moment you think it is. If I
[1:59:07] Speaker 1: ever believe that Koinonia is the only ministry making impact.
[1:59:11] Speaker 1: Joshua Selman is the only. I'm insulting the ministry of
[1:59:14] Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. Because I'm saying he's so ineffective. He
[1:59:18] Speaker 1: cannot guarantee the stability of other structures.
[1:59:26] Speaker 2: Politicians. Never believe you are the only one.
[1:59:29] Speaker 1: Let's not make the mistake of Elijah. Elijah said and
[1:59:32] Speaker 1: I am the only one. Who is standing.
[1:59:35] Speaker 2: It was a mistake.
[1:59:37] Speaker 1: Oh there are men who. Do you know, in my
[1:59:40] Speaker 1: life as a man of God, I have met some people,
[1:59:43] Speaker 1: some of them young people, and I have conversed with them.
[1:59:46] Speaker 1: And the kind of presence and power, they have not
[1:59:49] Speaker 1: even started ministry as we know. Some of them do
[1:59:52] Speaker 1: not even know how anointed they are. It's you by
[1:59:55] Speaker 1: the privilege of growth who can taste it and you can.
[1:59:58] Speaker 2: Say that, ah, there is grace here.
[2:00:00] Speaker 1: There are greater men that are coming who will do
[2:00:03] Speaker 1: greater things than the Joshua Selmans. We better respect them
[2:00:07] Speaker 1: in advance because by the time you tear down people
[2:00:10] Speaker 1: and they rise.
[2:00:15] Speaker 5: No.
[2:00:17] Speaker 1: We are surrounded by many. We are not the only
[2:00:19] Speaker 1: ones who walk this river. They gave us the baton
[2:00:22] Speaker 1: and God is still training many. There are many young
[2:00:25] Speaker 1: people in villages God is training. There are many young
[2:00:28] Speaker 1: people around God. There are many women of fire and power.
[2:00:33] Speaker 1: There are intercessors. There are end time prophets. There are apostles.
[2:00:37] Speaker 1: Some of you are looking at me. I know you
[2:00:39] Speaker 1: are sitting quietly. But there is what God is doing.
[2:00:42] Speaker 1: As men of God we must be honest to appreciate
[2:00:45] Speaker 1: and recognize. And drop away this celebrity mindset. no god
[2:00:55] Speaker 1: is bigger than just one man god is bigger than
[2:00:58] Speaker 1: just one ministry no matter how effective you are you
[2:01:03] Speaker 1: cannot capture the entirety of what god is doing.
[2:01:10] Speaker 2: Listen very carefully and learn.
[2:01:14] Speaker 1: I'm not ashamed to appreciate what god is doing across
[2:01:18] Speaker 1: every church with men of god with people when i
[2:01:21] Speaker 1: have the opportunity of meeting pastors whether they feel we
[2:01:25] Speaker 1: are greater we may not be at the same level
[2:01:27] Speaker 1: in grace but it does not matter from the least
[2:01:30] Speaker 1: to the greatest we are all an army who are
[2:01:32] Speaker 1: who are advancing the purposes of the kingdom from the
[2:01:35] Speaker 1: least contributor to the greater we are all deserving of
[2:01:39] Speaker 1: honor the spirit that rubbishes the contributions of others and
[2:01:44] Speaker 1: makes it look like only few people a man of
[2:01:47] Speaker 1: god met me one time and we're talking and he
[2:01:49] Speaker 1: said kai there are only few of me now joshua
[2:01:52] Speaker 1: selman that god is using in nigeria i told him
[2:01:55] Speaker 1: keep quiet and don't allow that blasphemy come out of your.
[2:01:58] Speaker 2: Mouth There are people in regions and villages.
[2:02:01] Speaker 1: We don't even have the kind of anointing to fight
[2:02:03] Speaker 1: those demons there. There are women who did not go
[2:02:06] Speaker 1: to school. But they are in the spirit of another prophetess.
[2:02:09] Speaker 1: Fighting battles that we do not know. No protocol protecting them.
[2:02:14] Speaker 1: How dare you believe Joshua Selman is the only one.
[2:02:18] Speaker 1: How dare you believe only Koinonia. What about other men
[2:02:22] Speaker 1: of God? What about other apostles? What about other churches?
[2:02:26] Speaker 1: everybody is making an active contribution. If I travel to
[2:02:35] Speaker 1: Lagos or to Abuja or to any nation, the reason
[2:02:39] Speaker 1: why you find believers there is because there was a
[2:02:42] Speaker 1: man of God there mentoring and building them before we arrive.
[2:02:47] Speaker 1: We must cultivate a healthy respect. Competition an unhealthy comparison
[2:02:59] Speaker 1: and let me charge you my precious people don't go
[2:03:02] Speaker 1: around joining the heads of men of god don't go
[2:03:05] Speaker 1: around joining the heads of people by trying to compare
[2:03:09] Speaker 1: oh this one is this this one is that no
[2:03:12] Speaker 1: no that is not your assignment hallelujah i once met
[2:03:20] Speaker 1: a woman with a unique grace for barrenness She may
[2:03:25] Speaker 1: not be able to prophesy. But if she lays her
[2:03:28] Speaker 1: hands on you. I had the privilege of praying over
[2:03:32] Speaker 1: one of the biggest prayer mountains that I know in
[2:03:36] Speaker 1: this nation. It's led up by a woman. Very humble woman.
[2:03:40] Speaker 1: The first time that woman came to me. She came
[2:03:43] Speaker 1: for prayers. When she began to tell me and I
[2:03:46] Speaker 1: saw what God did in her life. I felt it
[2:03:49] Speaker 1: was me that needed to kneel down and let her
[2:03:51] Speaker 1: pray for me. She's dedicated it now. It's a mighty
[2:03:56] Speaker 1: revival center. You go there and see prayer cells like
[2:03:59] Speaker 1: it was in the days of Yonggi Cho. We have
[2:04:02] Speaker 1: not come near these things. Where then is our pride?
[2:04:05] Speaker 1: There are people changing the world just because they are
[2:04:08] Speaker 1: not on social media. Just because they are not invited
[2:04:11] Speaker 1: to the places. We may look like the celebrities but
[2:04:15] Speaker 1: make no mistake. God has a robust army and there
[2:04:19] Speaker 1: are still many rising. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Ah. Ah. Ah.
[2:05:18] Speaker 1: Please look up Let me remind you again Some of
[2:05:22] Speaker 1: you here are leaders of small prayer groups. You are starting.
[2:05:26] Speaker 1: Don't be discouraged. Don't allow us men of God to
[2:05:29] Speaker 1: discourage you. You will make mistakes. It is better to
[2:05:33] Speaker 1: make mistakes in our presence. Let's see and correct you
[2:05:36] Speaker 1: in our lifetime. Than to rubbish what was done. But
[2:05:39] Speaker 1: do not be discouraged. You will make mistakes. Let God
[2:05:43] Speaker 1: help you. And we will help you by the grace
[2:05:45] Speaker 1: of God.
[2:05:47] Speaker 2: Are we together?
[2:05:49] Speaker 1: Sometimes I see different groups, ministry groups, they come together
[2:05:52] Speaker 1: and they just want to come and greet me for prayer.
[2:05:55] Speaker 1: And you look at them, they may not be dressing well,
[2:05:57] Speaker 1: but they are serious people. They may not know much,
[2:06:00] Speaker 1: but their hearts are there. How dare you push them?
[2:06:03] Speaker 1: How were we when God started with us? You think
[2:06:07] Speaker 1: we were like this? No, nobody can ever be perfect
[2:06:11] Speaker 1: enough for God's use. You are built while you are growing.
[2:06:16] Speaker 1: There is a threshold level of training. But when you
[2:06:19] Speaker 1: get there, he begins to use you while the transformation continues.
[2:06:24] Speaker 1: Let's give younger people a chance to grow and make
[2:06:27] Speaker 1: mistakes and learn and grow and build. Our job is
[2:06:31] Speaker 1: to guide, not stop. Are we together?
[2:06:39] Speaker 2: There are many dreams and.
[2:06:40] Speaker 1: Visions that have been buried because of this competition. Joshua Selman,
[2:06:47] Speaker 1: if you must grow spiritually, it must be through me.
[2:06:50] Speaker 1: That is absolute nonsense. Christ is the head of the church.
[2:06:55] Speaker 1: If I die today, God forbid, you will try to
[2:06:58] Speaker 1: raise me back to life. If I don't wake up,
[2:07:01] Speaker 1: what will you do? You will dig the ground and
[2:07:03] Speaker 1: throw me there. But the program of God continues. Listen
[2:07:07] Speaker 1: to me. The program of God was there before I
[2:07:10] Speaker 1: was born. Some of us are still children compared to
[2:07:13] Speaker 1: what God did before. Pastor, you can be as mighty
[2:07:19] Speaker 1: as you want to be. Prophetess, man of God, woman
[2:07:23] Speaker 1: of God, no matter how young or old, I'm bringing
[2:07:27] Speaker 1: you a word. Don't despise what God is doing. Respect
[2:07:31] Speaker 1: Joshua Selman and every other man of God.
[2:07:33] Speaker 2: Respect the fathers of.
[2:07:35] Speaker 1: Faith, but please not to the detriment of what God
[2:07:38] Speaker 1: is doing in your life. Do not over honor us
[2:07:43] Speaker 1: to the point where it looks like God has stopped
[2:07:45] Speaker 1: raising men. No.
[2:07:47] Speaker 2: I know we enjoy it.
[2:07:48] Speaker 1: Because it seems to massage our ego.
[2:07:51] Speaker 2: But I'm telling you the truth.
[2:07:53] Speaker 1: Something is wrong.
[2:07:57] Speaker 2: Number seven.
[2:07:59] Speaker 1: The fourth sin the seventh sin that the body of
[2:08:03] Speaker 1: Christ needs to be purged of is the sin of
[2:08:08] Speaker 1: imbalance this is the last one and we pray the
[2:08:13] Speaker 1: seventh sin it is not only an error it is
[2:08:17] Speaker 1: sin What is imbalance? Failure to embrace and communicate the
[2:08:23] Speaker 1: whole counsel of God.
[2:08:26] Speaker 2: Acts chapter 20 please. Give us verse 27 and 28.
[2:08:28] Speaker 1: Acts chapter 20 from verse 27 to 28. For I
[2:08:37] Speaker 1: have not shown to declare unto you all the counsel
[2:08:40] Speaker 1: of God. Is that in your Bible?
[2:08:42] Speaker 2: Paul is saying, I stand by God.
[2:08:44] Speaker 1: I did not trivialize any dimension. He says, take heed
[2:08:50] Speaker 1: therefore unto yourselves.
[2:08:52] Speaker 2: He's charging them now.
[2:08:54] Speaker 1: And to the flock over which the Holy Ghost has
[2:08:57] Speaker 1: made you overseers. To feed the church of God.
[2:09:00] Speaker 2: Which he purchased with his own blood. Please look up.
[2:09:04] Speaker 2: Imbalance is where.
[2:09:07] Speaker 1: there is an exaggeration and the stretching of a dimension
[2:09:12] Speaker 1: of kingdom truth beyond its jurisdiction of relevance. You want
[2:09:18] Speaker 1: to understand imbalance, you have to study cooking. In making
[2:09:23] Speaker 1: a meal, it's not the same quantity of rice that
[2:09:27] Speaker 1: you will have for salt.
[2:09:28] Speaker 2: Is that true?
[2:09:29] Speaker 1: For a plate of rice, you may need a pinch
[2:09:32] Speaker 1: of Or two pinches of salt and that is enough.
[2:09:35] Speaker 1: By the time you have one mudu of rice and
[2:09:38] Speaker 1: one mudu of salt and join them together, what have
[2:09:41] Speaker 1: you done? The ingredients are there but not to that degree.
[2:09:46] Speaker 1: Or by the time you cook a nice delicious rice
[2:09:49] Speaker 1: and then you ignore salt.
[2:09:52] Speaker 2: Imbalance.
[2:09:55] Speaker 1: It is the reason why believers in our world today
[2:09:58] Speaker 1: have not been able to rise to that stature. Remember
[2:10:01] Speaker 1: the Bible says we are kings and priests. I submit
[2:10:04] Speaker 1: to you that the church in Africa has emphasized on
[2:10:07] Speaker 1: the priesthood dimension. We have done well in terms of prayer,
[2:10:12] Speaker 1: consecration like I'm doing so. The average believer in Nigeria
[2:10:16] Speaker 1: and Africa.
[2:10:17] Speaker 2: is.
[2:10:17] Speaker 1: Not naive as to their spiritual development that priesthood part
[2:10:22] Speaker 1: we have gotten it well but the kingly part there
[2:10:25] Speaker 1: is a lot of ignorance among believers that is the
[2:10:28] Speaker 1: reason why we cannot dominate the mountains and bring glory
[2:10:32] Speaker 1: to the lord that is why believers can be praying
[2:10:34] Speaker 1: in tongues while politically and sociologically we become victims of
[2:10:39] Speaker 1: situations and circumstances This was the problem between Cain and Abel.
[2:10:44] Speaker 1: If you study the Bible. Abel understood priesthood. But Cain
[2:10:48] Speaker 1: built a city. And named it after his son. Are
[2:10:52] Speaker 1: we together now? Notice. That every time in the Bible.
[2:10:58] Speaker 1: You see the building of cities. It was the spirit
[2:11:02] Speaker 1: of the antichrist. Most believers stopped. At just understanding priesthood.
[2:11:08] Speaker 1: jesus when he came he began to teach and say
[2:11:11] Speaker 1: listen i am sending you a sheep among wolves the
[2:11:15] Speaker 1: average believer is ignorant as how to bring the kingdom
[2:11:19] Speaker 1: of god the kingdom come project we have no idea
[2:11:23] Speaker 1: ask the average believer what do we do as far
[2:11:26] Speaker 1: as establishing the program of god the only thing that
[2:11:29] Speaker 1: will tell you is let's pray let's study the scripture
[2:11:32] Speaker 1: let's live a holy life and that is wonderful that
[2:11:35] Speaker 1: is priesthood but the bible says we have been made
[2:11:37] Speaker 1: unto our god kings and priests if you are a
[2:11:41] Speaker 1: priest alone you will do well behind the veil but
[2:11:45] Speaker 1: if you come into the cosmos you will not.
[2:11:47] Speaker 2: Be able to thrive the whole council of God.
[2:11:54] Speaker 1: There is holiness and consecration like you are receiving tonight
[2:11:57] Speaker 1: there is the revelation of God's word there is the
[2:11:59] Speaker 1: prayer ministry there is a place for system building and
[2:12:03] Speaker 1: leadership there is a place for intelligence knowing how to
[2:12:06] Speaker 1: occupy the secular space don't have time i would have
[2:12:10] Speaker 1: shown you from scripture how israel became a great nation
[2:12:15] Speaker 1: israel did not become a great nation just by priesthood
[2:12:18] Speaker 1: alone are we together they were in egypt they did
[2:12:25] Speaker 1: not abort their priesthood but they did not understand the
[2:12:28] Speaker 1: kingly dimension and so they remain slaves So we have
[2:12:35] Speaker 1: many believers who are sincere but they cannot pay the
[2:12:39] Speaker 1: school fees of their children. We have many believers who
[2:12:42] Speaker 1: are sincere but they cannot access finances to build a building. No.
[2:12:49] Speaker 1: The whole council of God The lack of it is
[2:12:53] Speaker 1: what has created the lopsidedness in the church of God.
[2:12:56] Speaker 1: So I can stand right now as a man of God.
[2:12:59] Speaker 1: And because I'm preaching, you are coming to bless me.
[2:13:02] Speaker 1: The name of what I'm doing is value. Even if
[2:13:05] Speaker 1: it is spiritual, it is still the law of value.
[2:13:07] Speaker 1: And because I am dispensing value, whether I am selling
[2:13:11] Speaker 1: it or giving it free, the law demands that there
[2:13:14] Speaker 1: will be a reward. So you come and honor me.
[2:13:17] Speaker 1: But what of you? If I do not empower you,
[2:13:19] Speaker 1: how will I ask you to give? It is fraudulent
[2:13:24] Speaker 1: to not empower you and equip you with the truth
[2:13:26] Speaker 1: of the gospel and then keep demanding from you. I
[2:13:32] Speaker 1: will never be a man of God that will exaggerate
[2:13:36] Speaker 1: a dimension of kingdom growth at the expense of others.
[2:13:40] Speaker 2: Let me show you something. We are wrapping up.
[2:13:43] Speaker 1: Are you learning? One scripture and then we begin to pray.
[2:13:50] Speaker 3: Goodness.
[2:13:51] Speaker 1: Goodness. Acts chapter 18 from verse 24 to 26. The
[2:13:58] Speaker 1: Bible talked about a certain Jew named Apollos. The Bible
[2:14:03] Speaker 1: says he was born at Alexandria. An eloquent man. Notice
[2:14:08] Speaker 1: this man's credentials. An eloquent man. Mighty in scriptures. He
[2:14:12] Speaker 1: came to Ephesus. Verse 25. This man was instructed in
[2:14:16] Speaker 1: the way of the Lord. So he was not a rebel.
[2:14:18] Speaker 1: He was mentored.
[2:14:19] Speaker 2: Being fervent in spirit.
[2:14:21] Speaker 1: He spoke and taught diligently the things of the Lord.
[2:14:25] Speaker 1: But his only problem was he knew only. How many
[2:14:31] Speaker 1: of us preach very well but we know only? How
[2:14:35] Speaker 1: many of us do business very well but we know only?
[2:14:39] Speaker 2: Respectfully speaking.
[2:14:41] Speaker 1: There are some of us men of God. We are
[2:14:43] Speaker 1: fervent like this. But we know only administration. We know
[2:14:48] Speaker 1: only financial principles. And stopping there is imbalance. There are
[2:14:53] Speaker 1: some of us who know only priesthood. Principles of prayer, fasting,
[2:14:57] Speaker 1: consecration and the word of God. Some of us only
[2:15:00] Speaker 1: we understand spiritual growth and the rest. Some of us
[2:15:04] Speaker 1: only we know government When everybody brings their only And
[2:15:09] Speaker 1: we embrace it It will now bring completion Are we
[2:15:13] Speaker 1: together now? If I begin to teach you only business
[2:15:20] Speaker 1: Only financial principles And your spiritual life is going down
[2:15:23] Speaker 1: While you are prospering That is imbalance You may be
[2:15:26] Speaker 1: rich but you will go to hell It will destroy you.
[2:15:31] Speaker 2: Can I tell you this?
[2:15:33] Speaker 1: We must stop criticizing dimensions that we do not understand
[2:15:37] Speaker 1: or are not captured within the frame of our training.
[2:15:41] Speaker 1: My job as a man of God is to be
[2:15:43] Speaker 1: efficient as far as the dimension of the kingdom committed
[2:15:46] Speaker 1: to me is concerned. But to have a healthy appreciation
[2:15:51] Speaker 1: knowing that I know only. No matter how much I know,
[2:15:55] Speaker 1: I know only. That limitation was brought about by God himself.
[2:16:01] Speaker 1: So that we will embrace the entirety of the body.
[2:16:05] Speaker 1: So when I teach about the body of Christ. I
[2:16:08] Speaker 1: teach about the fact that God has invested diversities of graces.
[2:16:12] Speaker 1: It is not everything that I know and have today
[2:16:16] Speaker 1: and that you are receiving. That came from the core
[2:16:19] Speaker 1: of my call. There are many dimensions that were not
[2:16:22] Speaker 1: captured in my training. I have to outsource them through
[2:16:25] Speaker 1: honor to other vessels within the body. Are we together?
[2:16:36] Speaker 2: Let's wrap up.
[2:16:39] Speaker 1: Revelation chapter 21. We'll read verse 9 to 11 and
[2:16:43] Speaker 1: then 16. And then we'll tie up tonight's teaching. Goodness.
[2:16:48] Speaker 1: There came unto me one of the seven angels which
[2:16:51] Speaker 1: had the seven vials full of the seven last plague.
[2:16:55] Speaker 1: Watch this now. And talked with me saying. Come up hither.
[2:17:00] Speaker 1: And I will show you the bride. The lamb's wife.
[2:17:03] Speaker 1: He's about to show us the lamb's wife now. Verse 10.
[2:17:07] Speaker 1: And he carried me away into the spirit. And showed
[2:17:11] Speaker 1: me a great and high mountain. And showed me a
[2:17:14] Speaker 1: great city. So the lamb's wife is that city. The
[2:17:18] Speaker 1: holy Jerusalem. Descending out of heaven from God. Verse 11.
[2:17:23] Speaker 1: Having the glory of God. And her light was like
[2:17:27] Speaker 1: unto the stone most precious. Even like a jasper stone.
[2:17:31] Speaker 1: Clear and crystal. Verse 16. Look at the lamb's wife.
[2:17:35] Speaker 1: The lamb's wife.
[2:17:36] Speaker 2: That city.
[2:17:38] Speaker 1: Had it lied four square. And the length is as
[2:17:42] Speaker 1: large as the breath. And he measured the city with
[2:17:46] Speaker 1: a reed. 12,000 furlongs. And the Bible says the length.
[2:17:50] Speaker 1: and the breadth and the height are what? That balanced
[2:17:55] Speaker 1: city is the Lamb's wife. No dimension was exaggerated before another.
[2:18:00] Speaker 1: The length is the same as the height. The length
[2:18:04] Speaker 1: is the same as the breadth. When that bride becomes
[2:18:08] Speaker 1: a balanced bride... Embracing all that dimension.
[2:18:12] Speaker 2: Indeed she is now the lamb's wife.
[2:18:19] Speaker 1: The conclusion. At the end of this teaching tonight. There
[2:18:25] Speaker 1: will be two groups. Classically one group. But for the
[2:18:28] Speaker 1: discussion two groups. Number one. Those who may have been victims.
[2:18:34] Speaker 1: Of many or all. These things that have been mentioned.
[2:18:39] Speaker 1: And for you, I have a word. 1 John 2,
[2:18:41] Speaker 1: 1 and 2. 1 John 2, 1 and 2. This
[2:18:47] Speaker 1: is a word of encouragement as we conclude. My little children,
[2:18:50] Speaker 1: these things I write unto you that ye sin not.
[2:18:53] Speaker 1: For if any man sin, he gives you a word
[2:18:55] Speaker 1: of hope that we have an advocate with the Father,
[2:18:59] Speaker 1: even Jesus the righteous. Verse 2. It says, for he
[2:19:02] Speaker 1: is the propitiation for our sins. And not for us only,
[2:19:07] Speaker 1: but the sins of the whole world. Isaiah 55 from
[2:19:10] Speaker 1: verse 6 to 7. This is the word of hope
[2:19:14] Speaker 1: for the first group that might be here. 55, 6
[2:19:17] Speaker 1: and 7 Isaiah. Seek ye the Lord while he may
[2:19:23] Speaker 1: be found. Call upon him while he is near. Verse 7.
[2:19:28] Speaker 1: Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man
[2:19:32] Speaker 1: his thoughts. He says, let him return unto the Lord
[2:19:35] Speaker 1: and he will have mercy upon him and our God
[2:19:40] Speaker 1: and to our God for he will abundantly pardon. So
[2:19:46] Speaker 1: tonight is not for you to be discouraged. Tonight is
[2:19:49] Speaker 1: for you to know that the mercy of God is
[2:19:52] Speaker 1: still available. God is exposing this so that his bride
[2:19:56] Speaker 1: will be and remain purified. For the second group, there
[2:20:00] Speaker 1: may be people who by the mercies of God are standing.
[2:20:04] Speaker 1: Standing in many and most of this. For you I
[2:20:07] Speaker 1: have a word.
[2:20:07] Speaker 2: Of encouragement as we wrap up.
[2:20:09] Speaker 1: 1 Corinthians chapter 10 from verse 11 and 12. 1
[2:20:14] Speaker 1: Corinthians 10, 11 and 12. It says, Now all these
[2:20:18] Speaker 1: things happen unto them for examples... And they are written
[2:20:23] Speaker 1: for our admonition. Upon whom the end of the world
[2:20:27] Speaker 1: has come. Verse 12. It says. Wherefore let him that
[2:20:30] Speaker 1: thinketh he standeth. Take heed. Lest he falls. For those
[2:20:37] Speaker 1: who God has helped. It is not for you to
[2:20:40] Speaker 1: be judgmental. And to point hands at people. It is
[2:20:43] Speaker 1: to take heed while you stand. Lest you fall. The
[2:20:46] Speaker 1: final scripture. Second Corinthians 1. From verse 3 and 4.
[2:20:50] Speaker 1: We are about to pray. Blessed be the name of
[2:20:53] Speaker 1: the Lord. Hallelujah. He said, blessed be God, even the
[2:21:00] Speaker 1: Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies
[2:21:04] Speaker 1: and the God of all comfort.
[2:21:06] Speaker 2: Verse 4.
[2:21:06] Speaker 1: He said, who comforted us in all our tribulations that
[2:21:12] Speaker 1: we may be able to comfort them which are in
[2:21:15] Speaker 1: any trouble. The reason why God comforted you is so
[2:21:19] Speaker 1: that you can have the strength, the stamina, the experience
[2:21:23] Speaker 1: to comfort them which are in any trouble. By the
[2:21:26] Speaker 1: comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Tonight, God
[2:21:36] Speaker 1: has commended us as the body of Christ. But his
[2:21:41] Speaker 1: refining fire has come to us. Teaching us seven deadly sins.
[2:21:46] Speaker 1: That we must obtain grace. This is true for me.
[2:21:50] Speaker 1: This is true for you. This is true for all
[2:21:53] Speaker 1: of us.
[2:21:54] Speaker 2: The intention.
[2:21:55] Speaker 1: Is that we become a bride purified. A church purified.
[2:22:00] Speaker 1: I believe in the prophetic destiny. Of the church in Nigeria.
[2:22:04] Speaker 1: I believe in the prophetic destiny of the church in Africa.
[2:22:08] Speaker 1: In spite of all of the decadence and all the
[2:22:12] Speaker 1: things that may be happening. A mix of strength and weaknesses.
[2:22:16] Speaker 1: A mix of crowns and pains. I have one word
[2:22:20] Speaker 1: for you. Christ is still the head of his church.
[2:22:23] Speaker 1: And I want to tell you at the end of it,
[2:22:25] Speaker 1: it is victory. At the end of it, it is grace.
[2:22:29] Speaker 1: Rise up on your feet as we pray. Only Yeshua
[2:22:37] Speaker 1: will reign forever. To his kingdom there'll be no end.
[2:22:46] Speaker 2: There are names. There are titles.
[2:22:53] Speaker 1: There are legends and tales of strength. But only Yeshua
[2:23:02] Speaker 1: will reign forever.
[2:23:05] Speaker 7: To His kingdom there'll be no end.
[2:23:11] Speaker 1: There are kings. There are kingdoms. There are mountains and
[2:23:20] Speaker 1: there are thrones. But only Yeshua.
[2:23:26] Speaker 7: Will reign forever to his kingdom there'll be no end
[2:23:35] Speaker 7: now listen i know that our time is gone but
[2:23:38] Speaker 7: i'm going to give everyone two minutes no prayer point.
[2:23:43] Speaker 1: Is between you and the god of your salvation I
[2:23:46] Speaker 1: read the list for you. You know where it affects you.
[2:23:49] Speaker 1: Forget about the body of Christ and focus on yourself.
[2:23:52] Speaker 1: Forget about them and think about me. In one minute,
[2:23:56] Speaker 1: can you lift your voice and cry? Be merciful unto me,
[2:23:59] Speaker 1: O God, according to your loving kindness. Go and pray.
[2:24:03] Speaker 2: Please pray.
[2:24:06] Speaker 1: Pray while I read the list for you again. For
[2:24:10] Speaker 1: you in one minute.
[2:24:12] Speaker 1: It may be sexual immorality and related perversions. Number two,
[2:24:19] Speaker 1: it may be lust for money and material things. An
[2:24:22] Speaker 1: obsession for it. It may be the practice of witchcraft
[2:24:27] Speaker 1: and extra biblical practices. It may be pride, vainglory and self-centeredness.
[2:24:35] Speaker 1: For you it may be the sin of the tongue.
[2:24:37] Speaker 1: You have brought pain to several people by your speakings.
[2:24:43] Speaker 1: For someone it may be competition and unhealthy comparison. And
[2:24:49] Speaker 1: yet for another, and even for many, it may be
[2:24:53] Speaker 1: trivializing and refusing to embrace the whole counsel of God.
[2:24:57] Speaker 1: It doesn't matter where. I'd like you to pray. Go
[2:25:01] Speaker 1: ahead and cry to the Lord. One minute, please pray.
[2:25:14] Speaker 1: Is someone praying? I cast my crown before the highest royalty.
[2:25:26] Speaker 1: I am undone before your glorious majesty. I cast my
[2:25:37] Speaker 1: crown before the highest royalty. I am undone before your
[2:25:50] Speaker 1: glorious majesty. You're the king of kings and lord of lords.
[2:25:58] Speaker 1: You are the king of kings. You are the lord
[2:26:06] Speaker 1: of lords. Your glorious majesty. Mercy, oh God, upon my life.
[2:26:16] Speaker 1: Pray for your children. Pray for your spouse. Pray for Koinonia.
[2:26:20] Speaker 1: Pray for Joshua Selman. Pray for every man of God
[2:26:23] Speaker 1: you know and love. Pray for the body of Christ.
[2:26:26] Speaker 1: We stand as responsible people and we cry to the
[2:26:31] Speaker 1: God who shows mercy. We desire to be that purified bride,
[2:26:36] Speaker 1: that purified church. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Now you are here and
[2:26:52] Speaker 1: you want to make it right with Jesus. There is
[2:26:55] Speaker 1: no point coming here and hearing this kind of teaching tonight.
[2:26:59] Speaker 1: His word has come as a refiner's fire. And you
[2:27:02] Speaker 1: are saying, Apostle, thank you. This is what God has
[2:27:05] Speaker 1: been trying to tell me. Finally he has spoken to me.
[2:27:08] Speaker 1: You know that you need to make that decision for
[2:27:11] Speaker 1: Jesus genuinely.
[2:27:13] Speaker 2: Listen to me.
[2:27:14] Speaker 1: Anyone who does not have his spirit, the Bible says
[2:27:17] Speaker 1: he is none of his. And while we do not condemn,
[2:27:22] Speaker 1: we pray that God will touch your heart. I'm going
[2:27:25] Speaker 1: to make an altar call for two people in one.
[2:27:28] Speaker 2: Let's minimize movement, please.
[2:27:30] Speaker 1: Number one, someone who is saying, Apostle, I need Jesus.
[2:27:34] Speaker 1: Hearing you speak, I know that I need to make
[2:27:37] Speaker 1: that decision. Perhaps you are here and you have never
[2:27:42] Speaker 1: truly made that decision for Jesus. You may have been
[2:27:44] Speaker 1: going to churches hearing men of God, even inviting others.
[2:27:48] Speaker 1: Remember what I started with, that Jesus is coming soon.
[2:27:52] Speaker 1: He truly is coming. And he's coming for a bride
[2:27:55] Speaker 1: without spot or wrinkle. Number two, there are those who
[2:27:58] Speaker 1: are saying, Apostle, in light of what you have.
[2:28:00] Speaker 2: Said now, I need Jesus.
[2:28:03] Speaker 1: I need to make it afresh. I know that it
[2:28:06] Speaker 1: may have been decades of walking or living in sin,
[2:28:10] Speaker 1: but Jesus wants to give you a new beginning. Wherever
[2:28:13] Speaker 1: you are, I'm going to count one to five. I
[2:28:16] Speaker 1: want you to come, please. One. I once was lost,
[2:28:23] Speaker 1: but now I'm found Was blind.
[2:28:33] Speaker 2: Two.
[2:28:33] Speaker 1: If you are coming, please rush.
[2:28:35] Speaker 2: Please rush.
[2:28:43] Speaker 1: Don't sit back when you know the Holy Spirit is
[2:28:45] Speaker 1: telling you, come and stand right here. Three.
[2:28:58] Speaker 5: Let's encourage them as they come. Was blind.
[2:29:15] Speaker 2: Please come. I need thee.
[2:29:21] Speaker 1: Oh, I need thee. Every hour I need thee. Come
[2:29:31] Speaker 1: bless me now my Savior.
[2:29:36] Speaker 6: I come to thee.
[2:29:46] Speaker 1: Come. Don't mind the voice of condemnation. Don't mind the
[2:29:54] Speaker 1: voice of your yesterday.
[2:29:57] Speaker 3: No.
[2:29:58] Speaker 1: For as many who will come to him, he will
[2:30:00] Speaker 1: in no wise cast away. Don't say, people see me.
[2:30:04] Speaker 1: Don't worry about them. This is between you and Jesus.
[2:30:14] Speaker 1: In Jesus' name. Please look at me. My brothers and
[2:30:17] Speaker 1: my sisters, thank you for the courage. Some of you
[2:30:20] Speaker 1: are crying. Hmm. You see, when he comes as a
[2:30:27] Speaker 1: refiner's fire, it is because he's giving us a new beginning.
[2:30:32] Speaker 1: Are we together?
[2:30:33] Speaker 2: The Bible says, for God so loved.
[2:30:35] Speaker 1: The world that he gave his one and only begotten
[2:30:38] Speaker 1: son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but
[2:30:41] Speaker 1: have eternal life. I salute you for the courage. Those
[2:30:45] Speaker 1: who are here, those who are making this decision right
[2:30:48] Speaker 1: from your home following by television, Or following as a rebroadcast.
[2:30:52] Speaker 1: Probably somebody is listening to this. Who may be listening
[2:30:55] Speaker 1: to this. Many weeks and months and years to come.
[2:30:58] Speaker 1: Perhaps in a retreat. You might be quiet with your maker.
[2:31:02] Speaker 1: Flogging it out with destiny. Find hope. The mercy of
[2:31:06] Speaker 1: God is still intact. He renews it every morning. That
[2:31:09] Speaker 1: is how far his loving kindness can reach. Lift your
[2:31:13] Speaker 1: right hand. And I want you to say this after me.
[2:31:16] Speaker 1: Let it be from the depth of your heart. You
[2:31:18] Speaker 1: are not reciting a poem. You are before Jesus, the
[2:31:21] Speaker 1: lover and the maker of your soul. Say, love Jesus. Tonight,
[2:31:26] Speaker 1: I have heard your word. I love you with all
[2:31:30] Speaker 1: my heart. I have come to you just as I am.
[2:31:34] Speaker 1: I want you to help me. I want you to
[2:31:37] Speaker 1: make me. I receive Jesus into my heart as my
[2:31:43] Speaker 1: Lord and Savior. I declare that from tonight, the power
[2:31:50] Speaker 1: Of sin.
[2:31:51] Speaker 2: Satan.
[2:31:53] Speaker 3: Hell.
[2:31:54] Speaker 1: And the grave.
[2:31:55] Speaker 2: Is broken over my life.
[2:31:57] Speaker 1: I declare. That I am a child of God. I
[2:32:01] Speaker 1: am a recipient. Of eternal life. And from tonight. I
[2:32:06] Speaker 1: go forward ever. And backward never. Amen. Keep your hands lifted.
[2:32:12] Speaker 1: Lord Jesus we thank you for the abundance of your
[2:32:14] Speaker 1: grace and your mercy. These ones have come making this decision. Lord,
[2:32:20] Speaker 1: I declare by the authority of Scripture, their sins are
[2:32:22] Speaker 1: forgiven and that you give them a new beginning in
[2:32:25] Speaker 1: the name of Jesus. I pray by the power of
[2:32:28] Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit that this will be the beginning of
[2:32:32] Speaker 1: new seasons in your life. You go from glory to glory.
[2:32:36] Speaker 1: In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Please follow our counselors
[2:32:40] Speaker 1: by your right.
