There has been a lot of talk in the many, many political debates about how to make sure New Zealand recognises its full potential. According to a new report from lobby group "Circular by Nature" we could start by looking at the economic value we're getting from our natural resources. It says each of us uses around 21 tonnes of natural resources per year - well above the global average - but despite that we get 40% less economic return from them. It argues that we can unlock missing billions by creating a more joined up circular economy. Louise Nash - one of the authors of "Circular by Nature: Realising Aotearoa New Zealand's Full Potential. What will it take?" joins Jesse. \[picture id="4JHG60E_Louise_Nash_and_Kelly_McClean_jpg" crop="16x10" layout="full"\]
