[0:00] He came to destroy the holiest place on earth.
[0:03] He came with elephants, soldiers, weapons, pride in his
[0:06] chest. But it wasn't the Quraish who
[0:09] stopped him. It wasn't men or swords or
[0:13] walls. It was the birds sent by the one
[0:17] who owns the sky, the earth and that sacred house.
[0:21] Long before Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was
[0:25] born, a powerful Christian governor ruled over Yemen.
[0:29] His name was Abraham al Ashram. He built a magnificent cathedral
[0:35] in San AA, hoping to make it the religious center of Arabia.
[0:40] But the Arabs continued to travel to the Kaabah in Makkah,
[0:44] the ancient house built by Ibrahim Alayhiya Salaam.
[0:48] Abraham became furious. If they will not come to my
[0:51] cathedral, he declared, then I will destroy theirs.
[0:55] So he raised an army, massive, disciplined, well equipped, and
[0:59] at its front a giant elephant named Mahmoud, taller than any
[1:05] creature the Arabs had ever seen, their gold demolished the
[1:09] Kaaba stone by stone. As Abrahar's army moved, N
[1:14] tribes fled in fear. Many were captured, including
[1:18] the camels of Abdulmutallab, the grandfather of the Prophet
[1:21] Muhammad, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
[1:25] When Abrahar reached near Makkah, he sent a message.
[1:28] I do not wish to fight. I only want to destroy your
[1:32] house. Surrender and you will be
[1:34] spared. The Quraysh knew they couldn't
[1:38] defeat Abraham, so they left the Kaaba and sought shelter in the
[1:42] mountains. Before departing, Abdulmutallab
[1:46] approached Abraha. Abraha expected the old man to
[1:49] beg for the Kaaba's protection, but Abdulmutallab calmly said, I
[1:54] am the owner of the camels. The house has its own Lord, and
[1:59] he will protect it. Abraham laughed.
[2:02] But that night the sky above Makkah stirred as morning light
[2:07] touched the desert. Abraham's army lined up the
[2:11] elephant. Mahmoud was urged forward, but
[2:14] he refused to move. He would walk in every direction
[2:17] except toward the Kaaba. Suddenly the sky darkened.
[2:22] Flocks of tiny birds like swarms flew over the horizon.
[2:27] Each bird carried 3 stones, one in its beak, 2 in its claws.
[2:33] They were no larger than lentils, but they were not
[2:36] ordinary stones. As they rained down on Ebrahs
[2:39] army, they burned, pierced and destroyed.
[2:43] Men screamed. Elephants collapsed.
[2:47] Panic spread. Abraham himself was struck and
[2:50] fled, wounded, humiliated and defeated.
[2:54] Within days he died in misery, his pride shattered.
[2:58] Not a single sword was raised, not a single arrow was fired.
[3:02] Allah Subhanahu wata Allah had defended his sacred house with
[3:07] birds and stones. The Quraysh would never forget
[3:10] that year, and that year would be known as Amalfal, the Year of
[3:15] the Elephant. It was the same year in which
[3:18] the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam was born.
[3:23] One, have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the companions
[3:27] of the elephant? 2 Did he not make their plan go
[3:31] astray? 3 And he sent against them birds
[3:34] and flocks, 4 striking them with stones of baked clay, 5 and made
[3:40] them like eaten up straw. This story teaches us arrogance
[3:46] leads to destruction. No power on earth can stand
[3:49] against the will of Allah. Even the weak are protected when
[3:53] they trust Allah. Subhanahu wata Allah.
[3:57] Abraham had an army but Allah had the sky.

[4:14] Spread the stories that prove the smallest creation of Allah
[4:19] can crush the mightiest of men.
