[0:00] Gather around children. Today's story comes from a time
[0:03] when people forgot honesty. This story always makes me think
[0:06] of how people trade their goodness for gold.
[0:08] Wait, is this about the people who danced under the fire
[0:11] clouds? And the clouds, they look so
[0:14] fluffy. But we're.
[0:15] Really. Fire, right?
[0:17] Long ago, in a valley blessed with trees, rivers and rich
[0:21] markets, there was a city called Madian.
[0:24] It was a place where the people lived well, but they became
[0:28] greedy, corrupt and dishonest in business.
[0:32] They would cheat the scales, hide defects in goods and
[0:36] pretend to be pious while stealing from travellers.
[0:39] So Allah Subhanahu Atallah sent them a prophet, a gentle, honest
[0:44] man known as Shoaib Alayhi Salaam.
[0:48] He was known as the orator of the prophets because of how
[0:52] beautifully and wisely he spoke. Prophet Shuaib didn't come to
[0:55] take anything from them. He came with a message.
[0:58] Oh my people worship Allah alone and do not cheat and trade fear
[1:03] the day you will return to your Lord.
[1:05] But the people mocked him, they said your prayers, they tell you
[1:09] how to do business now. They threatened him, saying if
[1:12] it weren't for your family we would have thrown you out.
[1:16] And yet he responded with such patience.
[1:18] My success is only through Allah.
[1:20] I rely upon him, and to him I return.
[1:23] But AMI, the people didn't listen, did they?
[1:26] Instead of changing, they got worse.
[1:30] They laughed at Shuai Alaihi Salaam.
[1:32] They said, Bring us the punishment you promised if
[1:34] you're really truthful. And guess what happened next?
[1:38] One day, black clouds gathered in the sky.
[1:42] The people cheered. They thought rain was coming, so
[1:46] they danced and ran toward the clouds.
[1:49] But they had no idea. The clouds were not soft and
[1:52] nice, they were scary clouds with fire inside.
[1:56] Suddenly there was a huge earthquake, and then a loud
[2:01] scream from the sky, and then fire from the clouds.
[2:05] Everything turned into silence. Only Shuib, Alais, Salaam and
[2:09] the believers were safe. Yes, Amina Allah Subhanahu
[2:14] Ta'ala sent a punishment of fire and sound and an earthquake all
[2:18] at once. This was not cruelty, this was
[2:21] justice. Shuaib Alayhi Salaam turned away
[2:26] from the destroyed city and said with sadness.
[2:29] Oh my people, I delivered to you the messages of my Lord and
[2:33] advised you so why should I grieve for a disbelieving
[2:37] people? Even when his people rejected
[2:39] him, Shuaib still cared for them.
[2:42] He warned them, He prayed for them.
[2:45] But sometimes even truth wrapped in kindness is rejected.
[2:49] Let this story teach us children, never cheat others
[2:52] especially in money or trade, and always speak with honesty
[2:56] and fairness, just like Prophet Shuai by Lehi Salaam.
[2:59] So many people today still cheat online, in shops, in big
[3:03] companies, but look what happened to those who made money
[3:07] their God. It's not worth it.
[3:08] Is it Dada Abu? No, Omar, because in the end,
[3:13] what stays with us is not our gold but our deeds.
[3:18] And the sky that once brought rain can also bring fire.
[3:23] Let's always live in truth and remember the man who spoke to
[3:27] the clouds. May Allah Subhanahu Atallah make
[3:30] us among those who speak truth, stand for justice, and are never
[3:33] afraid to do what's right, even if others laugh.
[3:38] If this story moved you, share it with someone you love.
[3:42] Let honesty live on and until next time.
[3:46] Assalamu alaikum Washington rahmatullahi.
[3:50] What Barakatu?
