[0:00] Before time began, before skies turned blue and stars were born,
[0:05] there was 1 Not made, not born, not shaped by hands or limited
[0:10] by form. His name, Allah.
[0:13] But this name, this truth, wasn't just Arabic.
[0:18] It echoed across tongues and temples, from the deserts of
[0:21] Arabia to the scrolls of the Hebrews, from Aramaic whispers
[0:24] to English hymns. So who is Allah?
[0:29] Let's begin Bismillah. In English people say God.
[0:34] In Hebrew it's illoa al Vohar or elohim.
[0:38] In Aramaic, the language spoken by Prophet Desar Jesus, peace be
[0:43] upon him, the word is Elaha, eerily close to Allah.
[0:47] In Arabic, the word is Allah. Allah, not a name among many,
[0:52] but the singular eternal name for the one true Creator.
[0:55] It's not gendered, not plural, not a type, but the name of the
[0:59] divine, pure, undivided, unique. In a world full of statues,
[1:04] idols and painted God, Allah, Subhanahu wata, Allah stands
[1:08] apart. There is nothing like unto him.
[1:11] Surah Ashura 4211. You can't draw him, you can't
[1:16] sculpt him, because the one who created vision cannot be
[1:20] captured by it. He doesn't resemble creation.
[1:24] He's not in the sky nor inside you, but closer than your
[1:28] jugular vein. And we are closer to him than
[1:31] his jugular vein. Surakov, 5016.
[1:35] Allah is not a man, not a father, not part of a Trinity,
[1:39] not an angry tribal God needing blood sacrifices.
[1:43] Allah is Al Rahman, the Most Merciful, Al Rahzak the
[1:47] Sustainer, Al Adel the just, Al Ahad, the one Indivisible.
[1:53] Say he is Allah, the One Allah, the eternal Refuge.
[1:57] He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to him any
[2:01] equivalent. Surah Al Iqlas 112, one to four.
[2:04] This isn't just a chapter, it's a definition.
[2:07] Some think Allah is just a God for Arabs, but Arab Christians
[2:11] and Jews also use Allah in their bibles and prayers.
[2:15] The name Allah predates Islam, but in Islam it is purified and
[2:20] defined clearly. The creator of all, independent,
[2:24] infinite, worthy of worship alone.
[2:27] In other religions. Hinduism speaks of 1 ultimate
[2:30] source, Brahman, but with many gods.
[2:33] Christianity worships one God, but often through a Trinity,
[2:37] Father, son, Holy Spirit. Judaism reveres Elohim, the
[2:41] singular God of Abraham. But Islam says no partners, no
[2:46] intermediaries, no confusion, just Allah, the same God
[2:50] worshipped by Nuh Ibraham Musa ASA alaihi Musalam Muhammad
[2:56] sallallahu alaihi Wasallam and now by over 1.9 billion Muslims.
[3:01] Other gods die, need food, get tired, need help, are defeated.
[3:07] But Allah says Allah, there is no deity except Him, the
[3:11] Everliving, the Sustainer of all existence.
[3:15] Neither drowsiness overtakes him nor sleep.
[3:17] Surah Al Bakara 2/2/55 He needs no throne, yet he owns the
[3:22] heavens and the earth. Look at the sky, the Ant, out.
[3:31] This couldn't come from nothing. And if there's a designer, there
[3:35] is a purpose. And if there's purpose, there
[3:38] must be a path. And if there's a path, there
[3:42] must be a guide. That guide was the Quran, and
[3:46] the one who delivered it was Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
[3:50] wasallam, and the one who sent it was Allah.
[3:55] So who is Allah to you? To the believer he is hope in
[3:59] darkness. To the orphan he is al kafil,
[4:02] the guarantor. To the Sinner he is a tawab, the
[4:06] acceptor of repentance. To the seeker he is Al Hadi, the
[4:09] one who guides. To the broken he is Al Jabbar,
[4:13] the one who mends. To the patient he is as Shakur,
[4:18] the one who rewards beyond what is earned.
[4:21] Allah is not far, He is near. Closer than your breath, more
[4:25] loving than any mother, more just than any judge, and more
[4:29] real than everything else you see.
[4:32] But to know Allah, you must seek Him.
[4:34] And when my servants ask you concerning me, indeed I am near
[4:39] Surah al Baqarah 2186. If this story moved your heart,
[4:45] then don't stop here. Keep asking, keep seeking,
[4:48] because to know Allah is the beginning of everything.
[4:52] Like share and subscribe for more stories of truth, faith and
[4:57] revelation. Until next time, Assalamu
[5:01] alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatu.
