# #100 - Heston Russell - Ex Special Forces Commando Speaks on Australian Politics, Media & Immigration An episode of [2 Worlds Collide Podcast](https://invisiblenetwork.ai/podcast/1748669782), 14 May 2026, 1 h 20 min. Audio: https://mcdn.podbean.com/mf/web/nghuzeghwgguybze/Heston_Spotify7uhql.mp3 πŸŽ™ In This Episode of the 2 Worlds Collide Podcast, I sit down with Heston Russell β€” former Special Forces Commando and veteran of deployments to Afghanistan β€” for a direct and confronting conversation about war, veterans, media narratives, and the future of Australia. We dive into the growing attack on Australian veterans β€” discussing the fallout from recent years, the Ben Roberts-Smith situation, media pressure, and the impact these narratives have had on soldiers who served overseas. We also unpack ISIS brides, immigration, national identity, and where Australia is heading β€” exploring the conversations many Australians feel they can no longer openly have. Beyond that, we talk about leadership, resilience, combat, sacrifice, and the mental toll war can leave long after the battlefield is gone. This is a raw conversation about service, truth, loyalty, and standing by your values in a world that increasingly punishes people for speaking openly. 🧭 In This Episode We Cover: πŸŽ– Heston’s military career & Special Forces background βš”οΈ Afghanistan deployments & combat experiences πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί The attack on Australian veterans πŸ“° Media narratives & the Ben Roberts-Smith situation β˜ͺ️ ISIS brides & national security 🌏 Immigration and the future of Australia 🧠 Mental resilience after war πŸ”₯ Leadership, loyalty, and speaking openly πŸ’₯ Support independent voices 🧒 Merch: https://www.2worldscollide.com.au/cat... 🀝 Join Patreon: https://www.2worldscollide.com.au/s-p... πŸ“Ί Stay Connected YouTube: @2worldscollide Instagram: @2worldscollidepodcast X: @2worldsPodcast Website: https://www.2worldscollide.com.au πŸ”– Follow the conversation #2WorldsCollide #HestonRussell #AustralianVeteran #SpecialForces #BenRobertsSmith #Veterans #Immigration #AustralianPodcast #IndependentMedia Shows are listed from Apple Podcasts' charts and directory, and Podcast Index where it is used.
