[0:00] Welcome back to the Boxer Box podcast.
[0:02] This is episode 62 and the Club World Cup has just begun.
[0:05] Is it a success or a failure? And we got some news in the
[0:08] transfer market. Where does Yokidis go and does
[0:10] Nico Williams go to Barcelona? And Millie is back, so we need
[0:13] to discuss Inter's downfall. All that and more on the Boxer
[0:16] Box Podcast. Let's go.
[0:18] You ain't going home. Your Honor, I'm sorry.
[0:22] Your Honor, I'm sorry and. Also on the pitch and Bangula
[0:26] starts our next. Tomorrow, would you rather
[0:36] saliva and Buffett, right? Saliva right now.
[0:40] You wouldn't when you lie. That's right, now.
[0:49] First of all, apologies to everyone for the late podcast.
[0:52] It's been, it's been a pretty eventful week.
[0:55] Yeah, box of box. Boys, the weekend was packed.
[0:57] Yeah, we were in New York City, NY, and Millie, Millie had just
[1:01] gotten back from Italy. We said, Nah, here's another one
[1:05] for you. You were.
[1:05] Doing the trip, yeah. So then we completed Montreal to
[1:09] New York like 6 hour drive. So we did that.
[1:11] And then I mean, New York, NY is New York.
[1:15] I love New York personally. Analysis.
[1:17] Very New York is New York. But if you've been to New York,
[1:20] you understand what I mean. But you talking about.
[1:23] Explain it. Explain it to the people that
[1:24] I've never been. Explaining for both.
[1:26] So so you could go down one street and you have a
[1:28] motherfucker telling you, you gotta judge Joey did not please
[1:31] on E 43rd St. good family style place.
[1:35] And then the next street you'll have like a homeless guy telling
[1:37] you how to take a train to Staten Island, you know, like.
[1:40] You're gonna take the South Ferry.
[1:42] It runs. It runs anytime you can go
[1:45] right? Now it was it was a it was a
[1:47] very eventful like, and you know what, all that happened within
[1:51] like 2 blocks of where we were staying.
[1:52] Yeah. Like this, this happens as soon
[1:54] as we. The other one was literally
[1:55] outside. Outside I was.
[1:57] Just sitting on a bench with all this guy.
[1:59] Talking to him, these guys are just characters.
[2:01] It's like however they're however New York is portrayed in
[2:04] a movie, I feel like that's how it actually.
[2:06] Is yeah, there's like, like you said, character, but like, you
[2:08] can't even explain how much it exudes aura.
[2:11] Like the infrastructure, everything, the streets, that
[2:14] city was built to be big. Like it was built to like, have
[2:18] that level of pull. Like it the streets are like,
[2:20] through every one ways are three, three lanes.
[2:23] Yeah, yeah. And and they're massive
[2:24] sidewalks. I love New York.
[2:26] There's so much stuff to see. You can just be walking and
[2:28] you're like, oh shit, that's Madison Square Garden.
[2:30] And it was like coming from Montreal, obviously we don't
[2:33] really have the tallest buildings in the world, so.
[2:35] I put some to shame. Like this is like you're.
[2:38] It takes a minute to realize how tall these buildings.
[2:40] As soon as soon as we pulled up windows down.
[2:43] Sunroof. Sunroof open trying to see the
[2:46] the views. There is an incredible amount of
[2:48] wealth. This is just a crazy coincidence
[2:51] because yesterday I got back and I saw an Instagram post.
[2:54] I saw that too. New study says that one out of
[2:57] every 22 New York residents are millionaires.
[2:59] And I believe that really that makes a lot of sense because the
[3:02] wealth disparity over there is. Yeah, the other 21 or below.
[3:05] The poverty. Yeah, way below the poverty
[3:07] line. That is a huge gap for.
[3:09] Sure, they they have like, this may not make sense to you if
[3:13] you've never been to New York, but they have the best homeless
[3:15] people. Yeah.
[3:17] Like, man, what an event. That's like crazy to say.
[3:19] No, they do they do like they're they're we didn't see any
[3:22] fentfuls. We didn't see 111 person like
[3:25] out of it. The homeless people they're
[3:27] they're up, they're moving, they're talking, they're they're
[3:29] telling stories. They all have an NPC story.
[3:32] They're they all they're all we're counting you something one
[3:34] guy happy Father's Day. Did you say Happy Father's Day
[3:37] today? Like, like bro, in Montreal,
[3:39] they're just coming at you, running at you, asking me for, I
[3:41] don't know, cigarettes or something.
[3:42] Like they have care. We got places to be in New York.
[3:45] Yeah, that's for sure. Always on the move.
[3:46] I think, I think each one of us have like an encounter from this
[3:49] weekend that was just like a story that you will tell.
[3:52] Yeah, yeah, it was pretty fun. But I think we had a good time.
[3:55] Like, obviously the content we recorded there, you guys are
[3:57] going to be seeing it coming weeks, coming in the coming
[4:00] weeks, I would say. But yeah, we had a blast.
[4:03] Whole crew was there. So yeah, yeah.
[4:05] Now we're back in the studio. First time in a minute.
[4:08] Well, I mean, you guys were here last week.
[4:09] This guy's. Time for me.
[4:10] This guy actually left the whole fucking country to to get away
[4:14] from his team. I OK, I wasn't.
[4:16] Disintegrating right out in front of us, in our.
[4:19] Got a little vacation planned and then everything went the
[4:22] wrong way as soon as you. Left.
[4:23] Obviously, I wasn't planning it. I wasn't.
[4:25] That's what they all say. I wasn't expecting A5 no loss,
[4:28] but I mean, listen, you guys had my initial thoughts.
[4:31] We we did a podcast you still. Predicted a loss.
[4:34] I don't predict the. Mentality by the way.
[4:35] Holy fuck. Wow.
[4:37] This is why. This is why I said This is why I
[4:40] saw this on the last podcast. I can't associate with this fan.
[4:42] Base, Yeah, yeah, I can't because.
[4:44] Free agent because I'm a free because picking their team to
[4:47] lose in a Champions League final is unfathomable to me.
[4:52] But then if I far. Far FC is for fucking winners,
[4:54] not this. Cock fan base winners winners
[4:56] Manchester United the Europa League winners 2025.
[4:59] But I don't give a fuck who I'm going up against.
[5:01] My team is. I'm picking my team.
[5:03] Yeah, but. But I mean, we run a football
[5:04] podcast, you know? So I try to be a bit more in
[5:06] depth and like unbiased, real and unbiased.
[5:09] Have you listened to our podcast before?
[5:11] Welcome to the Box to box show. Look at the.
[5:13] But yeah, it was not. I was definitely not expecting.
[5:15] Five in 2025 you are still part of Millie FC.
[5:18] What are you doing? With you gone, you gonna
[5:20] rethink. Yeah, 'cause right now like the
[5:23] only team that's really bumping here is Varvar FC.
[5:25] If I'm not If I'm. Bumping.
[5:27] What are you doing? You bumping did.
[5:28] You guys not see the Club World Cup draft video?
[5:30] We already won that one. That one's already in the bag.
[5:33] United playing in the Club World Cup.
[5:35] That one's our YouTube. Videos.
[5:36] Yes bro, we already talked. About Man United.
[5:37] We already put that one in the bag.
[5:39] Man United, we're signing Cunya and Power.
[5:41] And. Way more rejective.
[5:45] And way more rejective. And we're signing in Buemmo,
[5:47] we're signing in Buemmo, we're signing.
[5:50] Cunya. We got Cunya.
[5:53] We got more fucking. Cool.
[5:54] You're welcome to New York. 3rd keeper.
[5:56] We just resigned him, Tommy. Eaton.
[5:58] Add it to the list so. So guys, I've been bugging
[6:01] Barber this week. Manchester United This is going
[6:04] to be a clip Manchester United losing new Liam de la and Buemmo
[6:08] and. Well, not going to make a clip.
[6:10] We're not losing anyone. There's one more guy they lost.
[6:13] They they lost another guy. We didn't lose anyone, bro,
[6:16] whatever Club World Cup. We need to discuss Club World
[6:19] Cup because obviously that's the biggest fish in the pond.
[6:22] You're the biggest fish, the biggest bird.
[6:25] So we got to go to a game. We got to go to the Palmettos
[6:27] versus Portal game. Think about it for a SEC.
[6:30] And honestly, even though I feel like from TV, it would kind of
[6:35] look like kind of, I would say quote UN quote failure, but in
[6:41] my eyes that was a very successful event.
[6:45] Like from, from our POV, we were in, we were in the Palmera ultra
[6:49] section and we have to, we have to lay it all out because I, we
[6:52] had some, I, well, I don't know why, because we took, I was
[6:55] there first, then you guys followed up.
[6:57] I actually met some Palmera box the box fans before the game.
[7:01] I met a Flamengo box the box fan also that was there.
[7:05] Keep watching hate watch. No no, not in the not in the the
[7:08] ultra section. Motherfucker came to hate watch.
[7:10] That is crazy. Supposedly Flamengo and Palmetto
[7:14] hate each other. Oh shit, so he came to IRL hate
[7:18] watch because he's a New York resident?
[7:20] Came for came for the real life hate watch.
[7:22] I I honestly respect it. I would do the same.
[7:25] If Chelsea were playing in Montreal, I would be there.
[7:28] If Barcelona were playing in Montreal, I would be there
[7:30] rooting. Even if they were playing
[7:31] Oakland City, I would be there just for the .1%, not even point
[7:35] .0000. There ain't no percentage for
[7:38] that. No, there's a percentage for
[7:40] that, bro. Bro, Celtic beat Barcelona with
[7:43] one shot on target, bro. It's definitely possible, bro.
[7:45] Anything. Celtic is a professional team,
[7:47] though. That's the difference.
[7:48] At this point, you might as well just Oakland City, Celtic.
[7:51] What's the difference? You know, Rangers stand up.
[7:54] But yeah, Rosie, happy so Club World Cup so far, do we deem it
[7:58] a success or a failure? I would say Club World Cup so
[8:02] far has been a success. If you've been to a game, you
[8:05] see the infrastructure that that that tournament has.
[8:08] I think eventually in the knockouts everyone's going to be
[8:11] tuning in. It's just a well, it's a well
[8:13] run tournament and it's on the zone.
[8:15] It's it's pretty, it's pretty readily available to watch.
[8:17] I could envision the the last rounds, the quarterfinals, semi
[8:21] finals to be bangers in my opinion.
[8:23] The only thing obviously is the timing of these games because
[8:26] 3:00 PM on a Monday, who could really go see it, right?
[8:28] Like that's why the stadiums look empty in my opinion.
[8:31] But I think it's been pretty good.
[8:33] Even the Flamengo game yesterday looked like Azuvi.
[8:37] Boca Junior's game looked like Azuvi.
[8:40] All these South American teams are are coming out.
[8:42] They got the fans. Yes, they're they're putting
[8:44] European teams to shame. The Chelsea game looked like it
[8:47] was the most bad one of them them all.
[8:48] Yeah, but it's also that those European teams may not
[8:51] necessarily see FIFA Club World Cup as like a serious or a very
[8:56] large tournament. I think we all have the
[8:58] perception that it's like a friendlies tournament, but those
[9:00] South American teams or even those like but.
[9:03] That's such a stupid way of thinking about it because it.
[9:05] Is a stupid way of you. Could make more money playing in
[9:08] the Club World Cup than you just made all year practically.
[9:10] And I, I, I get that, but I do think like the average, let's
[9:13] say Chelsea fan may not necessarily see this tournament
[9:16] as like a, a major competition on the level of like a Champions
[9:19] League, obviously. But for those South American
[9:22] teams, this is the showcase that, OK, let's show what we
[9:25] are, we're made of to those Europe, that European audience
[9:27] just. Showing which fan bases have
[9:29] more have more passion. More because I agree.
[9:31] Look at look at Times Square with the Palmerash fans.
[9:33] Oh, it's all Palmerash. Square was jet like, not when we
[9:35] were there, but there was a video circulating where
[9:38] Palmerash, there was thousands of them in Times Square doing
[9:40] their chants. Boca Juniors on Miami Beach.
[9:42] Yeah. And then you got inter with one
[9:44] fan greeting them at the airport.
[9:46] That's perfect. I mean LA then.
[9:47] You got the Chelsea game, the Chelsea game in the stands, it
[9:50] was looking like there was like maybe less than like 50.
[9:52] Even easy at in Times Square was bumping.
[9:56] Yeah, so Porto didn't have that big of a of a quarterback
[9:58] compared to obviously Porto had a whole section.
[10:01] Yeah, compared to Porto had like a bit of a sliver.
[10:03] But I mean, just just the fact that you met Palmetto, No
[10:07] Palmetto, sorry. Yeah, Porto had a little little
[10:09] second, but but that game ended up happening at MetLife Stadium.
[10:12] And MetLife is a, is a monster, monster stadium that that's like
[10:15] 70,000 people or whatnot. What interaction did you have
[10:19] before the game with the with the people in our city?
[10:21] Yeah. So we walk in, right?
[10:24] And the Ultra's. Encounter yeah yeah a classic
[10:28] stadium experience and I look at row 24 or whatever I look back
[10:32] at Paula and and the other people that were with us we.
[10:35] Were with how many people trying to sit there?
[10:36] Five. We.
[10:36] Were five, yeah 'cause Varva was already there and I see Varva
[10:39] alone and all of the seats next to him all taken so I'm like,
[10:43] OK, those gotta be our seats, right?
[10:44] So we walk up and we're like, these are our seats.
[10:47] Look guys like no, your seats are up there like.
[10:51] Couldn't speak, couldn't speak English, though he's got a
[10:53] translator. They think of the.
[10:54] Traffic. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[10:55] The the New York guy or whatever.
[10:58] No, I think your seats are up there.
[10:59] No, the seats are clearly these ones.
[11:01] You guys are going to have to go in your seats.
[11:04] And then obviously they start ganging up and saying, oh, but
[11:08] everybody moved us, so we're here now.
[11:10] So you guys have to go and find other seats.
[11:13] And we're like, listen, bro, how about you guys go and find other
[11:16] seats? Because these are our seats.
[11:18] Then it started getting rowdy or whatever, but we have to go find
[11:21] other seats because these guys were not budging.
[11:23] These Brazilians are very tough. For Palmeras.
[11:26] Yeah, yeah. Then they start hitting, but
[11:28] we're all Palmeras fans and I'm like, but I'm a Palmeras Ultra
[11:31] as well and they're like, oh you are.
[11:36] I'm like, I just don't have the shirt, but I'm a Palmyras fan.
[11:38] Name three fans. Name three players Esteval
[11:40] Gustavo Gomez and Paulino Victoroquel Victoro.
[11:44] Vipe Anderson I mentioned. Yeah, yeah, that's a legend,
[11:47] Johnny. Anderson actually doing did
[11:50] better in Syria than he did in Brazil by the.
[11:52] Way yeah, he was Guy Reed. Dog Water, yeah.
[11:54] Yeah, Reed. But no, it was a sick game.
[11:56] And I remember even even pre match 'cause then we had to
[11:59] start, people kept coming in our seats, like where I was, I was
[12:02] in front of, I was in front of Varva.
[12:03] Varva is alone in one row. I'm alone in the row in front of
[12:06] him. And then you guys were like a
[12:07] little bit high. You guys chose the you guys
[12:09] chose to like find some actual seats.
[12:11] And, and so we were seeing like other people trying to come into
[12:14] the seats around us and getting the same experience that we got.
[12:17] But like at one point a Porto fan, I think a Porto fan maybe
[12:20] like his brother or friend or something and his kid comes into
[12:24] a Padamanish section like wearing portal kits in a
[12:27] Padamanish ultra section. Can't do that bro.
[12:29] Bro, as soon as he walks in, he starts showing me his tickets
[12:31] and then I hit him with the same experience that we got hit.
[12:34] I'm like, I'm like brother, my seats were there, they got
[12:37] stolen. I came here.
[12:38] He goes, these are not your seats.
[12:40] These are my seats. Hide him with the same.
[12:42] And then as soon as that happened, all the Palmitis fans
[12:45] around him get out of here. You have to go to the other
[12:49] side. You gotta go to the other side,
[12:50] 'cause like the Porto fans are on the complete other end.
[12:52] The guy's like, oh fuck, you're gonna.
[12:56] Watch a game, this guy, probably mistakenly, he's having a Puerto
[12:59] fat. He probably just fucking wear
[13:01] the kid 'cause he's like I got in the closet.
[13:02] Here he's like, let's get an experience.
[13:05] He was a Portuguese American 'cause he had a his kid was
[13:07] wearing a Porto kid. Like definitely a fan, as soon
[13:10] as he saw that pressure being put on him, he's I'm sure that
[13:13] guy ended up in the Porto area. But now you guys understand that
[13:16] when a tourist is coming to a game, let's say they mistakenly
[13:19] buy a ticket in the fucking ultra section out of cooking
[13:22] Latio game. You're cooked.
[13:25] Yes, sorry, these are my sheets. No, but no but.
[13:28] I get the fuck. This is the difference though,
[13:30] because at a, at a Lazio game, so you're in Rome and you go
[13:33] watch a, a Roma Lazio or whatever, you could expect that
[13:36] obviously in the ultras, we're at MetLife, we're in New York.
[13:39] There's no reason for Brazilian ultras to be.
[13:42] These are our seats now, brother.
[13:44] These are our. Seats.
[13:45] These are these are New York Jets.
[13:48] Yeah, like Giants. I I would, I would expect like
[13:50] the Club World Cup to make it as as inviting of an atmosphere as
[13:54] possible. Obviously you want the the
[13:55] passion, you want the ultras there to support their clubs,
[13:57] but like there needs to be a balance.
[13:59] I won't just shit on Palmetto's fans though, because even though
[14:03] they could have been like very hostile towards us, when the
[14:05] game kicked off, they were telling us fans clap everything.
[14:08] They were very welcoming. So preface, we had a couple of
[14:12] guys and you got a couple of shirtless guys with standing on
[14:15] their chairs pointing at you, literally pointing at you
[14:17] telling you start fucking singing girls bikini on this
[14:20] section. I was having fun though the
[14:22] chance that they sing are pretty cool that very.
[14:25] Vulgar ref was getting got called Filio de Puta, which is,
[14:28] you know, son of a bitch like 10 million times.
[14:32] Yeah, every single call even though it was right crazy.
[14:35] Well, look at this son of a bitch.
[14:37] Look at this son of a bitch. But those those there was a foul
[14:39] that a Porto player just went flying like cartwheel.
[14:41] Yeah, yeah. Like that was at the beginning
[14:43] of the game, beginning of the game.
[14:44] And you see Palm that has fans going, oh, no, that's fine.
[14:47] No, that's good. No, but they take it to an
[14:49] extreme level. Bro people's people smashing
[14:51] sheet on chairs like they they get really really hard I.
[14:55] Don't know, maybe because like they're they're in New York and
[14:58] whatever. So it's a little different.
[14:59] But like I feel like in Brazil, it's that's a big.
[15:02] Old tone bro Imagine. I feel like this is team.
[15:05] Yeah. Oh yeah.
[15:05] I feel like we got like 5% of the experience.
[15:08] Imagine an actual like 3-3 with pens with like all fouls versus
[15:13] like Flamingo or something. That might be.
[15:16] I don't think they allow other teams fans.
[15:18] One of the guys we were with said that sometimes they just
[15:20] don't allow rival fans because it it they cannot.
[15:23] Well, yeah, that's fighting in Europe.
[15:24] That's what it is too. Like they they allocate maybe
[15:26] like 1000 seats for rival fans in the top third bowl, you know
[15:30] what I mean? But.
[15:31] What I mean experience, man? Yeah, no that.
[15:32] Was sick. That was fun.
[15:33] But honestly, I think that first game of the Club World Cup where
[15:36] it was into Miami and Al Ali, like that one kind of set a bad
[15:40] tone because then you, you heard that they were chopping, they
[15:43] were slicing the, the, the prices of the tickets to like
[15:46] $4.00 and Messi was there and they still couldn't fill it up.
[15:49] They, they were manipulating the cameras and whatnot.
[15:52] So I feel like it, it started off with a bad tone.
[15:54] But I mean, the Palmettos game that we went to was I almost
[15:57] like, I think it was 47,000 people that showed up.
[16:00] Obviously MetLife is a monster stadium, but 47,000 in any other
[16:03] stadium fills it out. I think it's gonna do a good job
[16:06] of growing the game, yeah. PSG Athletico hit 80,000.
[16:09] Yeah, they filled the Rose Bowl. They filled it up, which was
[16:12] crazy. And that show was, it was 100°F.
[16:15] That was hot. It was like.
[16:16] Middle. Torching hot.
[16:18] They usually don't do games in the middle of the day, Rose
[16:20] Bowl, like that's usually like an evening game or whatever.
[16:22] But like, I mean, I think, I think besides that first game,
[16:25] the the reception of the World Cup has been great.
[16:28] Yeah. I feel like the teams have been
[16:30] really, really invested in it as well.
[16:33] Like they're doing like pop ups, they're doing activations,
[16:36] they're doing a bunch of stuff to kind of get the vibe going
[16:38] so. So we think it's good, but what
[16:40] improvements can you make to the next Club World Cup to make it
[16:43] even better? And I, I would say first one,
[16:47] try to do it in a more concentrated country.
[16:48] I know we spoke about it before, like off camera where it was
[16:51] like, you know, if they did it in a more like let's say in in
[16:53] the UK or just in in England, it's a more concentrated country
[16:57] and it's much easier to let's say see doesn't.
[17:00] Even need to be a concentrated country.
[17:01] It could just be a concentrated area, like they could have done
[17:04] it in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, like.
[17:07] Like I I love the shelter you you said in the group chat
[17:10] London imagine like obviously. But that doesn't.
[17:13] Have to be in the USI know, yeah, but imagine like a Club
[17:16] World Cup in London where you have all these stadiums and all
[17:19] these teams in in a concentrated area becomes like the Olympics.
[17:22] I think that would that would be such a great event for for
[17:25] football. But I think right now the Club
[17:27] World Cup could have only been in the country like the US that
[17:30] have that infrastructure in place because you bring 36
[17:33] clubs. I think it's 36.
[17:34] Is it 32 or 36 there? You bring 32 clubs to London
[17:38] with all those fan bases. You are getting a a vibe because
[17:41] you're getting it's a vibe. No, but it's a mess.
[17:43] It can't. Logistically it can't happen,
[17:45] but I'm. Saying you can't do World Cup in
[17:47] Qatar. Qatar is only one little.
[17:48] Worth it for the World Cup. You know how much shit they have
[17:50] to set up, like for the world, temporary hotels, stuff like
[17:53] that to make that happen. London has the infrastructure
[17:55] already. I would say so.
[17:57] They do grow to shut down this. It's when when the World Cup is
[18:01] in a city, it shuts down. Yeah, yeah.
[18:03] But the Club World Cup should have that.
[18:05] It's. The first one, yeah, I know.
[18:06] First one, that's this, that's at this statue.
[18:08] I say let it be a success and grow the sports in the US and
[18:12] then maybe. I think they did it to warm up
[18:14] for the World Cup next year. Yeah, 'cause then you don't want
[18:16] it's like a stretch. Your your World Cup next year.
[18:18] Even though they got Cup America US been killing it recently.
[18:21] Summer after summer. They always had one massive
[18:23] soccer event, Copa America tester, Club World Cup, a bigger
[18:28] tester. And then they're going to have
[18:29] the World Cup, which is going to be like I, I personally think
[18:32] everyone's saying like, oh, it's, I think it's going to be
[18:34] the best World Cup. I'm not even.
[18:36] Well, they've done, they've done the the World Cup in the US
[18:38] before, right So. Yeah, but that was when, let's
[18:41] be real, like the sport was not that big in the US at that
[18:44] point. Like it wasn't.
[18:45] No nowadays, like, like an average American knows probably
[18:49] the top ten players in the world, like they know who Jude
[18:51] Bellingham is at least maybe. So like I think at this point,
[18:55] like I think an average American will go watch a a just a regular
[19:02] game. Like I I think we didn't see it
[19:03] in a couple of World Cup. I think every game will be sold
[19:06] out for World Cup, every single one.
[19:07] Yeah, I agree. So.
[19:09] It's also because it's nationalities like you're going
[19:11] there to represent your your country.
[19:12] It's a different feeling. Whereas like PSG, Athletico,
[19:16] like you're going there probably for the the teams, their top
[19:19] teams, you know? Look at look at one of the guys
[19:21] we were with. He was, he was talking about his
[19:23] experience at Copa America, Argentina versus Canada.
[19:25] Yeah, Opening game of Copa America.
[19:27] He was at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Yeah.
[19:29] Which is a huge I'm in Atlanta. Probably 8070 thousand. 70
[19:33] something like it's mod 70. Something maybe almost 80,000
[19:36] and he said it was absolute full capacity.
[19:39] The vibe was as if you were in, in, in Europe and that's Canada
[19:43] versus Argentina. Yeah.
[19:44] So I think for the World Cup, it's gonna be, it's gonna be
[19:47] pretty crazy. And, and honestly, like, aside
[19:49] from the Palmadesh ultras, the experience was, was very, very
[19:52] smooth to get into the game because they're they're they're
[19:55] such big stadiums like getting in was no.
[19:59] Problem. But I've heard, I heard that the
[20:01] MetLife was getting in was very easy.
[20:03] The other games were not so easy, really.
[20:05] Yeah, that's what I heard. Like for us security and stuff
[20:07] took like minutes, minutes. And then the grounds were nice.
[20:10] They had activities going on like it was it was well done.
[20:12] It wasn't like half assed. Yeah, and it just like the
[20:14] weather wasn't great. I feel like if the weather was
[20:16] nice, it would be a different vibe.
[20:17] But like, for what it was, I think it was, it was a.
[20:20] Success. Even the trains and stuff.
[20:22] I've been to European games where you don't.
[20:25] Know how you get? Hold like the Olympico, like
[20:27] that's a regular Latzio UVA, that's a seti game.
[20:31] And to get back I had to walk 'cause I couldn't find any.
[20:33] Yeah, it's not well connected over there.
[20:35] And this is MetLife in the middle of nowhere, New Jersey,
[20:37] NJ. But the buses.
[20:39] But they've done it so many times, like every time there's a
[20:41] Jets or a Giants game, it's filled like it's it's yeah.
[20:43] But I. Think a lot of more people drive
[20:45] and they they. Yeah, sure.
[20:47] And they cause of the tailgating and everything.
[20:49] So yeah. But the study Olympical they've
[20:51] had games there for how many years they should know how to
[20:54] you can properly bust. Out, but you're in Italy.
[20:56] But you're also in the city, like people don't necessarily
[20:58] drive to games. That's very.
[21:00] I walked. Yeah, we got me too.
[21:02] Yeah, I. Walked.
[21:03] That's zero to our work. So yeah, I mean, logistically is
[21:06] the only thing, because you got a game in LA and a game in New
[21:09] York, so it's tough to really travel and see all of them.
[21:12] But apart from that, I think it's been pretty good.
[21:14] I did want to bring up though, South American teams have been
[21:16] balling out at the Club World Cup at the start of the
[21:19] tournament. I mean, Flamingo dominated
[21:21] yesterday against Espionage NZ, but I mean, that's that's
[21:24] expected to be honest, because South American champions, I
[21:28] don't know if there's still South American champions, but in
[21:29] the massive South American team versus like the Champions of
[21:33] Tunisia versus, but Boca Juniors and Palmettos did very well
[21:38] against Portuguese teams. I would say arguably they both
[21:41] deserved the three points. Some Benfica fans.
[21:43] Palmetto should have won. I agree.
[21:45] Palmetto's played very. Very well, they just were
[21:47] missing. Esteval on Fraud Watch though
[21:49] very unimpressed with his first first time watching.
[21:52] Him let's just before we before we went to the game, you did
[21:55] say, oh, this game will be I, I will base everything on Esteval
[21:59] based on this. Yes, because that's what we do
[22:01] at Boxer Box. Of course, no, that's what we do
[22:03] have over. Us, we, we watched him once and
[22:05] the conclusion I came out of it was this guy will never be a
[22:08] success in the. Premier One man in the superior
[22:10] player. Not, by the way, superior.
[22:12] Superior player of the match. But Ken, no, I'll give my actual
[22:16] Esteval take. He will not come into the Prem
[22:20] and hit the ground running. It might take him a bit of time
[22:22] to get adjusted and he will not. Madueke right now is a better
[22:27] player than SFLI. Agree.
[22:28] Right now I agree he's a better player.
[22:30] He SFL could become a very good player.
[22:33] But I think when I watched Palmettos, he was not even like
[22:36] a top three or five player that I'm like, OK, he played well.
[22:39] Richard Rios played well. Yeah, he's good.
[22:41] The center mid with him, the number 5, I'm not sure what his
[22:44] name was, but he played very well.
[22:46] Gustavo Gomez played very well. Samuel O Meridian was good.
[22:50] Rodrigo Mora was very good. Mora was very good.
[22:52] We were all saying it like who? Like this guy took over the game
[22:56] almost himself 5-6. Like little techie midfielder.
[23:00] I don't know if he can cut it in Europe because he's he's really
[23:01] tiny, but he's only 18. Yeah, but when's the last time
[23:04] you heard a footballer 5 foot six really make it like you were
[23:07] looking it up? Yeah, I know he's 18, but still,
[23:10] bro. And he wasn't quick, but that's
[23:11] The thing is that he's. Very slow, pecky.
[23:13] Like, yeah, he got away from a lot of challenges.
[23:15] But but at the top level, when players are not, yeah, like
[23:19] players like a Rodri or something, you're not getting
[23:23] away. From how tall is Doku?
[23:24] He's but Doku. No, he's not.
[23:25] Yeah, but bro, that guy has insane acceleration.
[23:28] Yeah, you're talking about generational acceleration at
[23:30] that point. I think Maura, I see the
[23:33] potential he he was missing a couple of passes here.
[23:37] But if he could like finalize those paths, it just was like
[23:39] he's nowhere near ready for a transfer to a top level team.
[23:42] No, not yet. No player on that on that field
[23:45] to be honest, looked like oh, they could play top.
[23:47] Level Samu. In my opinion, Samu was clogged.
[23:50] You could still say bro if Gustavo Gomez was was Gustavo
[23:54] Gomez manhandled him a bit there.
[23:56] But he was he wasn't getting any service.
[23:58] And when he did he he kept bringing it down comfortably,
[24:01] turning around. They got a run.
[24:03] I know this is an extreme situation because this is one of
[24:05] the best strikers in the world, but if that's how he's he's
[24:08] taking down every single one of those long balls and everything
[24:10] he's dominating. No center back Yeah, like Samu
[24:13] still has a bit to go You're. Telling me for 50 million you
[24:16] wouldn't take Samu, I would. I would rather personally OK.
[24:20] But I'd rather like John Duran I for 50 million, but he's not.
[24:23] John Duran physically is there more, but Samu technically is
[24:26] more there. I don't know.
[24:27] I I for me, we can get into it later because we will discuss
[24:31] the Gilchat, a shotgun and everything.
[24:32] But like, I would rather Hugo ET Akike then.
[24:36] Here we go. Samuel.
[24:37] Gets linked to Man United once and all of.
[24:39] Us John Duran, though John Duran has got.
[24:41] Something that's completely unrelated and compared to
[24:42] something else that we weren't talking about.
[24:44] No, because that's a striker on the market this summer that
[24:46] would be available for, let's say 7080 million.
[24:49] They're saying 100 mil. Yeah, but that was at the
[24:51] beginning. The price has dropped since
[24:53] then, so. They don't rate them or why?
[24:55] OK, so now the price drops, so Reindeer's Milan don't rate them
[25:00] because the price dropped from 100.
[25:01] That's exactly what happened. Yeah, exactly.
[25:03] Anyway. But yeah, that was that was our
[25:06] Club World Cup dissection, I think, honestly.
[25:08] Talking about it as yeah, obviously.
[25:10] I'm I'm just glad it's been competitive besides that buyer
[25:12] in Auckland fiasco, but. Yeah, yeah.
[25:16] Whatever. Happened there?
[25:17] Whatever happened there? To see that team should not, I'm
[25:20] sorry. Not be in the.
[25:21] I'm saying there's. I doubt there's what, but if
[25:23] there's an Auckland FC fan listening to this, you guys
[25:26] should not be in this fucking tournament.
[25:28] Yeah, and then there's these, there's the football purists
[25:30] that are like, I love the story of Auckland FC.
[25:33] This guy works a day job at the Brother.
[25:36] I'm not here to watch fucking Charity FC.
[25:37] This isn't a charity match. Did you see that the the
[25:40] midfielder that was the only one that had like a green rating on
[25:42] mob was like a part time like a like an electrician or
[25:45] something? Yeah, like I'm sorry, this is
[25:47] supposed to be. If they're trying to make this
[25:48] like a premier club competition, you can't be putting teams that
[25:52] have nine to five part time workers.
[25:54] Doesn't make sense. It really doesn't make sense.
[25:56] The. Problem is is capping it at 22
[25:59] teams per country like. Per continent, is it No.
[26:03] No per country because like. Like 8 European teams or some
[26:06] shit. Yeah, like it should.
[26:07] Like we'll sign HD ma'am Lodi Sundowns.
[26:10] Like sure, it's fun to talk about these little stories and
[26:14] but 90% of people don't know where these teams are even from.
[26:17] We want to watch Liverpool, we wanna watch Barsa, we wanna
[26:21] watch these big clubs that have been competing this season in
[26:23] Europe in the Club World Cup. That's like saying, oh, we're
[26:26] not gonna make Argentina and and we're not gonna make 5 countries
[26:32] in Europe go to the World Cup. It is crazy to me that Barsa and
[26:35] Liverpool are not playing in the tournament.
[26:36] And like that did you see like why teams make it?
[26:39] Like, oh, Chelsea made it? Oh, why?
[26:41] Because they won the Champions. League because they were the
[26:42] Champions League 4 years ago. Man City all because of this.
[26:45] Like Juventus, Like Juventus have not competed.
[26:47] Like where? Why did Juventus make this
[26:49] tournament? I don't.
[26:50] Yeah, I I agree. That yeah, the UVA one was kind
[26:52] of like, it makes no sense off. I'm not sure why, but yeah, I,
[26:55] I, I think that they need to revise how teams get.
[26:59] In but I think I. Just allocate more spots.
[27:01] Yeah. But I think, I think if they did
[27:03] coefficient like just the top 10 coefficient teams in Europe, I
[27:07] think actually 4, it would have been four or five English teams
[27:11] if I'm not mistaken and Man United would have made it and we
[27:14] don't deserve to be there and. Probably one or two Italian.
[27:17] We we were top ten in European coefficients for the last four
[27:19] years, which it we should not be no, but they.
[27:23] Took it contractive they chose it they didn't choose how we.
[27:25] Performed in the Europa League, which is so stupid I think Roma
[27:28] would have made it over. Roma would have made it.
[27:31] Over anopolite. Very very the the European the
[27:34] coefficient system so so badly. But that's the only improvement,
[27:38] I'd say that's the that's the overarching improvement that
[27:40] should have been happening anyway.
[27:42] Next up, Barbara, do you want to explain the the whole Gayoka
[27:46] saga going on in the transfer market?
[27:48] OK, so Man United, you guys know I don't want Yokoresh.
[27:52] So I think personally, even even at his cut rate price of 65 to
[27:56] 70 million, I'm not a fan. But supposedly Amarim left,
[28:01] right and right before January, he left for for Manchester
[28:04] United, big club. Obviously he would leave.
[28:07] Yokoresh then said, OK, Amarim's gone I'm going to leave in
[28:11] January too I'm my my values at it's Max I'm not going to get
[28:15] anything better than this. So sporting who are still trying
[28:18] to compete in CL and everything they say no Victor, we want you
[28:22] to stay we will agree this is supposedly according to his
[28:25] agent, we will agree to let you go in the summer for 65 to 70
[28:29] million probably below your market value, but you will give
[28:32] us more money from Champions League.
[28:33] So we'll we'll agree to for you to stay and sell you in the
[28:36] summer. So then Man City poach the
[28:40] sporting director of Sporting Lisbon, Hugo Vienna, and then
[28:46] come to Summer Yoko, just like, OK guys, so I'm going to start
[28:50] speaking to team. 65 to 70 million is the price though,
[28:52] right? And and he thought that they
[28:54] held up their end, no. Add another 20 million to that
[28:58] bitch. Is what Sporting sporting
[29:00] saying. So now supposedly Yokoresh agent
[29:05] has proof of this 65 to 70 million release clause, but
[29:08] Sporting are saying no, we never agreed to this, we are never
[29:11] going to sell Yokadesh for 65 to 70 million.
[29:13] Doesn't make sense. Rug pulled them.
[29:15] Yeah, how could you? How could you not have this
[29:18] written down? I agree, if you don't have this
[29:21] written down you are stupid. Yeah, it's, it's a verbal, it
[29:23] was a verbal agreement, like. If you can't back it up, then
[29:26] it's like a he said, he said he said kind of thing, but.
[29:28] Maybe that 65,000,000 was floating around out of your.
[29:31] They should have done a Matteos Cunha where Jokadesh signs a new
[29:34] contract with a massive pay raise with a 65 release clause.
[29:38] Yeah, so it's even if let's say second-half of the season, you
[29:41] shit the bed, you're financially safe because you just signed a
[29:44] new contract for five years. Yeah, and on a on a good pay,
[29:48] pay raise or you get that 6570 million move in the summer.
[29:54] Mathias Cunha did the same thing at Wolves.
[29:55] He signed a contract worth like 100 something grand a week at at
[30:00] Wolves, but it had that 60 million release clause.
[30:02] So in the summer, if he wanted to move, he could get the move,
[30:05] win, win situation. I wonder what agent he has
[30:07] because I'm assuming he doesn't have a big agent.
[30:09] It's a Turkish agent, I don't remember.
[30:11] Look at the clubs that he's been going through in the past, like
[30:13] this guy wasn't kind of destined for greatness.
[30:15] Well. He went to Brighton, he was
[30:17] hyped up at Brighton. I remember like people came in,
[30:19] oh he's going to have a bit of buzz.
[30:21] Went to Coventry on, well you went, had another loan move,
[30:24] failed, went to Coventry, balled out for Coventry and then
[30:29] Sporting saw that and said yeah, we need that 20 mil.
[30:32] I think they paid for him. Or 30 mil from Coventry.
[30:35] Obviously balled out at Sporting.
[30:37] Rest is history now. Suppose he prefers Arsenal to
[30:40] Man United. Thank you, Gil Kadesh.
[30:43] I cannot. That's.
[30:45] No, Liam the lap was actually a bad like I am actually mad that
[30:48] we missed on Liam the lap and I told you guys Liam the lapse a
[30:50] good player before this you guys know I did not rape.
[30:53] That was the third. That was the third that the
[30:56] third, the third person in the trifecta of the young.
[30:58] Man, but he didn't reject that. He just says he prefers a movie.
[31:01] I saw, I saw a quote that he said I don't wanna play for
[31:04] Manchester. Yeah, that's what I saw on.
[31:06] Twitter get the todelow's part. I don't know and.
[31:08] It was Milan post that post. Yeah.
[31:09] Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I don't know if you're
[31:11] monger. I, I, I do think that both
[31:14] parties are kind of in the wrong to a certain extent.
[31:16] I do think Jokid is like the actions of his agent, whatever,
[31:20] kind of paint a bad picture. Like, I don't know.
[31:22] I don't know if you ever have that feeling like, let's say a
[31:23] player that you would be interested in having in your
[31:25] club. They have this whole like saga
[31:28] and like drama and whatever and it's like, OK, well, if he's
[31:30] having drama here, imagine what happens.
[31:32] It's it's the second time because that Coventry to get.
[31:35] The the same. Thing he said, He said I'm not
[31:38] training anymore. You guys have to sell me like,
[31:40] like those guys doing the same thing at Sporting.
[31:41] Those are things that like you hope wouldn't happen at your own
[31:44] club once he makes the move, but inevitably, like, there's
[31:46] patterns. Well, that's if your club is
[31:48] like intersize. If you're Man United, there's no
[31:51] bigger like you. Don't get a page out of Zlatan's
[31:53] book. Yeah, so.
[31:54] Yeah, whatever you say. But I think the Bomber is going
[31:58] to disagree with me, but I think Juventus are in the race for Gio
[32:01] Kadesh high in the race. They're in the race.
[32:03] I hope they're in the race. I don't want him at Man United.
[32:05] I really don't think you guys understand.
[32:07] Take another player from Arsenal.
[32:11] I'm I'm torn here. But listen, Arsenal fans.
[32:14] I don't see, I don't see a world in which a player rejects
[32:18] Arsenal for UV. Now it's been happening.
[32:20] No, it's been happening. No, you, you, you're saying
[32:24] Vlavich, but Vlavich, you gave him a stupid contract.
[32:27] It did not end up being a good move.
[32:29] This is so similar to the. How do you win transfers?
[32:32] How do you win transfer sagas? You give stupid, you give super
[32:34] salaries. No.
[32:36] We gave him a stupid salary. We win, we won.
[32:40] We don't actually know. No, no, no, Juventus isn't
[32:43] offering him the most salary. Arsenal.
[32:45] Apparently this is like beyond the rumors, this is very just
[32:48] like low level journalism on Twitter.
[32:50] But apparently he likes the Arsenal.
[32:53] So we're giving low level journalism a spot.
[32:55] No, no, but it's it, it makes sense.
[32:56] He likes the he likes the Arsenal contract, but Sporting
[33:00] would rather Juventus buy him 'cause we're putting in the
[33:02] highest bid. So I don't think you have more
[33:04] money than Arsenal to spend. We don't, but we value him
[33:07] higher. We would be willing to give him
[33:09] the bigger contract. This it's it all hinges on
[33:11] whether you vent to sell Vlavich or not, because if we don't sell
[33:14] Vlavich, then we're not spending 70 million.
[33:16] That's how it's been for like 2-3 years now for you.
[33:17] But thank you to AC Milan. I want to give a formal thank
[33:20] you because they will be taking Dusan Vlavich off of our hands
[33:23] and in return we get Teo Hernandez, we get the best left
[33:26] back in the world according to firms.
[33:27] You have to and we're getting rid of the.
[33:28] Worst guys are not so tapped in, so for them they actually think
[33:32] like Oh my God this is happening.
[33:33] I'm not top 10 either because what is this thing that we're
[33:36] talking? About one stupid shitty fucking
[33:38] report that Palace is bringing up, you have to understand.
[33:41] So when you bring what we. Say as like, yeah, like Oh my
[33:44] God, like like I propagate missing.
[33:47] Some of our friends will listen to this and be like, Oh my God,
[33:50] I didn't know that that's actually happening.
[33:52] Meanwhile they don't know it's about some fucking guy with 2000
[33:55] followers on on Twitter. Don't mislead, that is
[33:57] happening. Don't don't make them.
[33:58] Are you trying to tell them what to think?
[34:00] Yeah bro this is PAL FC journalism right here.
[34:03] Nice. Taylor Hernandez will be swapped
[34:04] for Dusan Vlavich. OK, so it's so.
[34:07] The deal's already signed. Apart from getting Milan scraps,
[34:10] are you linked to anybody else? If you kyo to Mori.
[34:12] Oh, another Milan scrap. Did you guys see David de
[34:16] Coppola leaving Italy for Brighton?
[34:18] Good. Yeah, yeah.
[34:19] Good. But it's OK, we were thinking
[34:21] good. Good.
[34:22] For it's more damning on the Italian clubs for not even
[34:24] playing more than 10 million stupid.
[34:26] Good for him. Yeah, good for.
[34:28] Him. I'm gonna ball out.
[34:29] Probably Barber. You gotta pick a side bro.
[34:31] Is the Premier League the biggest or not?
[34:33] It is. So should our players not be
[34:34] playing in the biggest league in the world?
[34:35] I I think it's a good move. I think it's just embarrassing
[34:38] from Cydia that that young Italian players feel the need to
[34:41] leave. Well, there's been so much
[34:42] turmoil at the big clubs like but we, we.
[34:45] But this does not. But once again I said this, does
[34:48] this not remind you of like the arid Divisse 20 years ago, 30
[34:51] years ago or the the Portuguese league?
[34:54] Well, the Portuguese league was never.
[34:55] The Prem when I was young. Bro Arid Divisse 2030 years ago
[34:59] was IAX, PSV, Feynor all at the top of the game.
[35:04] Like when when a bit after Joan Kroy, Dutch teams were like the
[35:09] top Creme de la Creme. Now IAX is a six times CL winner
[35:14] or whatever the fuck. They have 1/5 times CL winner.
[35:17] It's eerily similar to AC Milan. Eerily similar because AC Milan
[35:22] and all these have all these CLS and they were such a good team.
[35:25] Now they're just a feeder club. Yeah.
[35:27] But I do think the brand equity is a little different like I
[35:30] think, I do think Italian team. You think it's not dwindling in
[35:33] the world of football? Yeah, it's it could still be
[35:35] going down, but I, I do think we.
[35:36] It's going up theoretically on paper, value wise, yeah.
[35:40] But compared to the rest of the landscape of world football?
[35:43] Yeah, going down. Well, it's not going at the same
[35:45] rate. Well, it's not necessarily going
[35:48] down. So no, if you're an investment,
[35:49] if you're, if you're an investment advisor, OK and
[35:52] everyone around you is going up 10%, but your investment is
[35:55] going up 5%, yes. Is that a good investment?
[35:57] But but the investment. No, that's OK.
[35:59] Well. The investments around you are
[36:01] not going up by 10. Percent.
[36:02] Everyone's going up, No. Because you think that the Prem
[36:05] is what football is, AC? Milan, OK, you once again,
[36:11] Bayern Munich is going up. Real Madrid, Real.
[36:14] Madrid. Real Madrid and Barcelona are
[36:17] going up, PSG is going up. But you're talking about these
[36:20] clubs that AC Milan were compared to 10 to 15 years ago.
[36:24] Yeah, were in that realm 15 years ago, 10 to 15 years ago.
[36:29] And you guys were in that realm. You guys were in the Real Madrid
[36:32] realm. You guys were in the Barcelona.
[36:34] You were bigger than Barcelona 10 to 15 years ago.
[36:37] All these clubs have now surpassed you and it looks like
[36:40] they're out of sight, like you won't even.
[36:41] But aside from fear mongering, what's your point?
[36:45] Nothing. You guys are fucking perfect.
[36:46] He has no point, Got it. Exactly next.
[36:48] Stop. Thank you Barbara FC for
[36:49] proving. That you.
[36:50] That's how you shut down Barbara.
[36:51] You're just asking, but. It's not just Milan, it's it's
[36:54] them as well and you guys are lucky.
[36:55] You guys are good. Now you guys are going to turn
[36:57] to shit, so you guys will be you.
[36:58] Just signed a $400 million contract with Adidas.
[37:01] Bro 40 million a year it's where?
[37:02] Fucking you signed a lifetime contract for 13 years.
[37:05] And Adidas is going somewhere. Bro, you realize 30 million in
[37:09] 13 years is gonna be fucking ugats 40 million it's gonna be
[37:13] this. This is what 30 million is gonna
[37:15] get you in bro. It's not even gonna buy you bro
[37:17] 30 million gets you're acting like they gave you a Chico cuts
[37:20] to sell every year for you're acting like you know what other.
[37:22] Clubs Adidas contracts are like. I know Man United is a lot
[37:25] bigger. What is it you do not want?
[37:29] To check it out. Open the.
[37:32] Check it out because you can't. You can't talk unless you have
[37:36] comparative information. But I know for Juventus
[37:40] guaranteed 40 million. So it's good Man United's record
[37:44] setting kid deal with German brand Adidas, which is worth a
[37:46] whopping. Read that out, Millie.
[37:48] Don't read it out. Pounds £900 million across 10
[37:51] years. So you're a little boy?
[37:54] What was that sign I. Packed you on your head, little
[37:56] boy. When was that sign?
[38:00] Two years ago. Anyway, next topic.
[38:04] Yeah, you're a little sun to me, boy.
[38:06] Enjoy 15th next topic Nico Williams to Barcelona Do we
[38:12] think it's going to happen and if So, what would you rate that
[38:14] transfer? There's a match made in heaven.
[38:17] Grade the transfer or rate the transfer.
[38:20] Grade it rated. Give it a grade B minus because
[38:25] I don't think, I don't think it's riskless.
[38:27] Like I think Nico Williams is a good player, but the wages that
[38:30] he's going to get is going to be hefty.
[38:32] He's not leaving Athletic Bilbao for 100 KA week.
[38:35] He's not leaving, He's not doing that.
[38:37] So you're giving him hefty wages.
[38:39] Meanwhile, I think there are better solutions to that left
[38:44] wing spot in my personal opinion.
[38:46] Like. Marcus Rashford, No, hear me
[38:50] out. I think Rashford would
[38:51] absolutely cook at Barcelona and he would be cheaper so.
[38:57] The thing with Nico Williams is for Spain, this guy balls out
[39:00] because every system he's playing against is not organized
[39:03] in an organized league. Nico Williams is not good.
[39:06] I'm telling you, this is a this would be ACC level transfer.
[39:09] Gabriel Martinelli at Barsa would be better than Nico.
[39:12] Williams, I'm not. Serious with that.
[39:14] I'm not 100% serious saying that I.
[39:16] Wanna go? That's crazy.
[39:18] You want me to re say what I just said?
[39:20] Yeah, exactly. Let me get rid of the smile.
[39:24] He doesn't believe it. OK, I can't suppose.
[39:28] You lads composer. Graded.
[39:30] I would give it AB plus I wouldn't go as far as to say a
[39:34] because obviously you have Rafina there in a left wing
[39:37] position that's was Balandor level.
[39:39] So it's kind of like you're, you're picking between do we
[39:42] keep Rafina there or do we put Nicole Williams?
[39:44] But on a larger scale for a whole season, having Nico
[39:49] Williams, that's depth. And then you have a finger there
[39:51] that those are the pieces that you need to go way deeper in
[39:54] Champions. But you're also not signing a
[39:56] left winger that can play striker.
[39:58] Like Lewandowski is very old. He's getting very old.
[40:01] Nico Williams can't play striker.
[40:02] If you were to sign a left winger like Rashford or Turram
[40:04] or something like that, that can play left wing and striker.
[40:07] Then you're filling 2 positions, 2 needs at once.
[40:09] You're gonna have to go and buy an 8090 million, 100 million
[40:13] striker in a couple years because that's the level that
[40:15] Barcelona need to be at. And financially for Barcelona, I
[40:18] don't know if they can sign. And I, I would personally, if
[40:22] Barcelona have the money, you have to go get Holland because
[40:24] Holland versus Zimbabe. I keep saying this.
[40:27] But but the the issue is that when we talk about Real Madrid,
[40:29] then we tell them, we say that all all they need there were one
[40:32] Hosalu away like they Hosalu was was not the.
[40:34] Holland strikes that team perfectly.
[40:36] I understand, but if you have Nico Williams, Rafina La Mina,
[40:40] Mao you don't necessarily need a a Holland level striker in order
[40:44] to compete. You could get a A mid.
[40:46] Level strike when Real Madrid I'm We're assuming Real Madrid
[40:49] will figure this team out because there's too much talent
[40:51] there to figure it out assuming Real Madrid pull up with Mbappe,
[40:55] Vinicius Rodrigo, all this world class let's say master Antonio
[40:59] or the Guler end up you know how much world class sound that is
[41:02] you can't pull up with the hostel level striker and expect
[41:04] to win the. League I know but you also have
[41:05] Nico Williams and Rafina there at your disposal with Laminia
[41:08] Malika that's death that maybe if if you just face Real Madrid,
[41:12] yeah it might be a challenge but over a course of the season in
[41:15] Champions League, you will feel the difference that a Nico
[41:18] Williams will give will give you that's an advantage for
[41:20] Barcelona. They didn't have a Nico Williams
[41:22] option when they faced Inter in the in the semis they didn't
[41:26] they didn't have any substitution options that could
[41:28] make that difference. I think Nico Williams B plus
[41:30] transfer, but obviously you're taking away from Rafina.
[41:33] So I I do think you got a dark but.
[41:35] Rafina has also played calm this season, Yeah, and whether you
[41:38] like him calm or left wing is your opinion.
[41:40] But to be honest, I think Rafina Laminamal and Nico Williams is
[41:43] an excellent front three, of course.
[41:45] But then where does he? Where does the sleep?
[41:47] Players like Fermin, Lopez and Daniomo?
[41:49] That's well I would like to see Daniomo play striker as a FOS 9.
[41:52] Fermin Lopez is is a little bit the the shitty one because
[41:56] obviously like he can't have his playing time.
[41:58] I love Fermin Lopez so. Bring him to my.
[42:00] Players will have playing time, That's the thing.
[42:02] Like modern football now you're playing 60 plus games.
[42:04] That's true. You will have.
[42:05] You will have playing. OK, what's he on the bench?
[42:07] You. You need 1414 to 15 starter
[42:10] level players available in order to go deep into the competition.
[42:14] Arguably and more arguably more really, so if you're pulling up
[42:17] and you only have 11 to 12 players that are starting level,
[42:21] it will be very tough. I saw with Inter it is very very
[42:24] tough to win silverware so like. 7 starting level players.
[42:27] It's five level starting players even like maybe there's two or
[42:31] three maybe you know. So anyways, I think, I think
[42:34] it's a decent signing, but we're gonna have to see.
[42:36] I think Nicole Williams is a good player.
[42:37] I shouldn't know, but I I do think he's a good.
[42:39] No, you can't do this shit though.
[42:41] Shut up. Can't do this shit because now
[42:42] you're gonna pull up the clip next year.
[42:44] You either were. Now he has both angles covered.
[42:47] OK. I always said Nicole Williams is
[42:49] a good player versus I knew he was asked.
[42:52] Gabriel Martinelli is a good player bro no.
[42:54] No, that Nico Williams though. Do you actually believe that?
[42:56] I think that would be yeah, it would be cheaper, less wages and
[42:58] he would be the. Same level of player, cheaper.
[43:00] Doesn't mean better, brother. I cannot believe that mean
[43:02] better. The same way for his rodeo bro,
[43:04] you can't say he's asked but good at the same.
[43:05] No no no, no ass is an overreaction.
[43:07] Because I need to be, I need to be polarizing 'cause it's a
[43:09] football positive rage beat but it's a rage beat.
[43:12] But Nico Williams is a good player.
[43:14] But further wages And what are they talking about transfer
[43:17] wise? 50,000,060 million, yes,
[43:19] releasing his release clauses, yeah, something around that.
[43:21] You know the transfer fees. Why would they talk about 90
[43:23] million? Did he sign you?
[43:24] No this season. He signed no, but he it's 50 to
[43:27] 60. Million Why was in 90 last
[43:28] summer? It wasn't 90.
[43:29] It was. That's that's the number that
[43:31] they were talking about. Maybe, maybe because it was
[43:33] after the EUR or something? Anyway, anyway, I think Nick
[43:35] Williams is still a good player. I think he still would fit that
[43:38] Barsa team. It just makes sense.
[43:39] He's already played with half of these guys for Spain that but.
[43:42] That helps a lot. But with all these costs, why
[43:44] couldn't they just go get Cunya or. €64 million paid upfront.
[43:49] That's a. Lot, but when it was for upfront
[43:50] a lot. That's, oh, that's the, that's
[43:51] the yeah, release clause. The release clause like in my
[43:55] mind, like a guy like Cunya, that would cost the same thing
[43:58] but less wages. But they're.
[44:00] Like more more we. We look at them like similar
[44:02] players, but Niko is is a way better presser than Cunha.
[44:05] I mean there's the reason why he's linked to Bayern.
[44:07] Brother as a left linger, that guy puts in work.
[44:11] Cunha is a very good presser. I'm I'm sure he is, but Niko is
[44:15] linked to the the. Highest that's that's the wrong
[44:17] angle to take here. Niko Williams is proven in La
[44:20] Liga, Cunha's proven in the Prem.
[44:22] They're both just making moves to bigger clubs within their
[44:24] leagues. That's the only thing that can
[44:25] be said well. Actually moving down the table.
[44:27] Because Cunha. Cunha in Spain, he's been in
[44:30] Spain before. He has not.
[44:31] He did not succeed Athletico Madrid.
[44:33] He was kind of a failure. Athletico Madrid.
[44:35] He was a younger player, less developed obviously, but but
[44:38] Nico Williams also I don't think would work that well on the Prem
[44:42] so. He'd be Martinelli.
[44:45] He would be a better Martinelli, but.
[44:47] Bro, come on. He's better than Martinelli.
[44:50] Yeah. Everyone forgets that Prem he's
[44:52] not dropping 20 or 25 goals in assists.
[44:55] Not his first season. So he dropped 10 in La Liga this
[44:57] season. It's more what he does off the
[45:00] ball. I don't know what to tell you.
[45:01] It's one of these wingers that doesn't.
[45:02] Bro off the ball, give me a break.
[45:04] OK, but Martinelli is scoring 25 goals a year.
[45:07] Nobody. Got about but Martinelli in his
[45:08] first season, he he actually has the proof of putting up that
[45:11] much. And already that was.
[45:12] Four years. Five years ago. 2020.
[45:15] This season, Gabriel Martinelli definitely put up more than five
[45:17] goals, 5 assists. The fucking hope.
[45:19] So it starts. Below the ground he.
[45:21] Might not even Williams only started 20.
[45:23] Goals for assists, Yeah. Huh.
[45:24] Williams only started 22 games in La Liga do.
[45:27] You want me to tell you the minutes?
[45:28] 2300 minutes? Didn't Nico Williams get injured
[45:30] at 1:00? Point Yeah, he's only started 22
[45:31] games. He didn't play against Man
[45:33] United. That wouldn't have saved them.
[45:35] It might have. He played 2000 minutes like he's
[45:38] marginal. Yeah, I'm just saying you're
[45:41] also playing for Athletic Bilbao versus Arsenal, Which Arsenal
[45:45] more helped. Yeah, one's playing 11 is the
[45:49] guy on the team. The other one is playing with
[45:51] Saka. The other one is the guy of the
[45:53] guy of the guy of the. Guy was injured all season.
[45:55] Yeah, but Nicole Williams, decent player, don't let Paula
[46:01] get his clips in next year that he's gonna have a clip saying
[46:04] he's good and he's a clip saying he's bad.
[46:06] I, I, I said I started my thing with this is AC level transfer.
[46:09] Martinelli is a better player. There's no coming back from that
[46:11] one, OK? OK.
[46:12] So keep that energy next year, Spurs.
[46:16] I'll keep the Gilchash energy by.
[46:17] The way I will keep the easy. Handshake, Handshake.
[46:20] Like that, we agreed Gilchash, if he gets a transfer to
[46:23] Arsenal, will not score more than 20 goals or twenty goals or
[46:26] less. You don't really score.
[46:27] He will score. 15 in around 50 in the Prem.
[46:29] In the Prem. You don't really have a great
[46:31] record with Premier League strikers.
[46:33] Why? Because I think Holland say
[46:36] Nunez would be better than Holland.
[46:38] Yes, yeah. But that's that's one instance.
[46:41] That's basically practically 2. No one better.
[46:43] That's one. Holland would be worse than no.
[46:45] I I never doubted Holland's ability.
[46:48] I said he would get injured. So 2.
[46:51] So maybe 3 or. Three the most got three in the
[46:54] injured one player in the front right.
[46:55] There I always knew Holland was a good player, but it's will he
[46:59] get injured? Whatever, you knew he was a good
[47:00] player, but then put him in the same sentence as Nunez.
[47:03] Because he had an injury record. You also said that Hoyland was
[47:06] going to be. Coming.
[47:07] That's another one for. But I, I, you see, you have to
[47:10] understand, I learned from my mistakes.
[47:12] I've learned from those mistakes.
[47:14] I know buying a motherfucker from Sporting who, which when's
[47:17] the last Portuguese league striker that ended up being
[47:20] good? Name me.
[47:21] Brother, you literally have Bruno.
[47:23] Name me. Yeah, he's a striker.
[47:25] OK, Thank you. Attacker.
[47:27] Name me a Portuguese attacker that.
[47:28] Name me another. Portuguese league attacker that
[47:30] isn't Portuguese. What the fuck does this have to
[47:34] do with anything? You're talking about Jokadesh
[47:37] like he's a home. Grammos went to PSG has not been
[47:40] good but that's Josh Felix went for.
[47:42] He had more hype than Jokadesh did not end up being.
[47:46] Good. They played those guys played
[47:47] the. Last one that was good was
[47:48] Falcao. That was the last one that was
[47:50] good. Jota.
[47:52] Jota never. Jota played at Wolves bro.
[47:53] That's the level of fucking stupidity I'm dealing with right
[47:56] now bro. From Portugal or Brazil, Oh my
[47:58] God. Spurs anyways, sack and pasta
[48:04] called glue and then bring in Thomas Frank which I personally
[48:08] think it's a good move. What do you guys think?
[48:11] Shotto came from Porto. Porto B.
[48:14] It's, I guess it's a positive move.
[48:17] I mean, they kind of play similar.
[48:19] They, they have different ways of playing that three back or 4
[48:22] back. I mean, I don't know.
[48:24] I don't have much to say about Thomas Frank.
[48:26] I think it's a good appointment. I think it's very solid.
[48:28] Converse in my opinion bro. Brentford was a difficult team
[48:31] this season. He's always, always over
[48:34] performed. He's every single year.
[48:36] He's consistently over performed.
[48:38] Even year where Ivan Tony was out, you think, oh, where are
[48:40] the goals going to come from? They came even more.
[48:43] Motherfucker found more. Look how many players this guy
[48:45] made relevant, like Norgaard, Damsgard, the whole back line
[48:49] was good and we saw like Tony, like I don't know, I think
[48:55] Thomas Frank is a very good manager and it's going to be
[48:58] better than Ange. And he just, he fits the club
[49:01] perfectly. I don't know how to describe it.
[49:03] Like, like he fits the vision. Not too relevant.
[49:06] Yeah, Not irrelevant exactly. Middle pack.
[49:09] I, I honestly think next year Spurs are going to have a very
[49:11] good season and the fact that, Oh well, I was going to say they
[49:14] don't have Europe, but now they won the Europe League, so they
[49:17] do have early. Early early predictions for
[49:20] Thomas Frank next season that Spurs Where does he finish in
[49:22] the prom? 7th in the league plus a
[49:25] decency. I'll run like around the 16 or
[49:28] quarterfinal is my prediction. It's cheeky.
[49:31] I'm thinking I think 5th I find. It's a little too.
[49:34] High, it's too high. They they don't have this.
[49:37] If they weren't in Seattle, I would have said top four
[49:40] probably, or top five. And and they they haven't
[49:42] necessarily brought in. Quality reinforcement but but
[49:44] they I I'd hope they will like the the summer is long, so I
[49:47] hope they're going to bring. It's an investment club, it's
[49:49] not a, it's not a winning club. But even like an imbuemo, like,
[49:53] you know, that sun, for example, is out of the doors, yeah.
[49:55] But they're not getting imbuemo. Who is?
[49:58] Man United. He said that's what got on the.
[50:00] Camera just. To watch Got on camera thing.
[50:02] Manchester United will sign Brian Ambemo, and it's not even
[50:05] a debate. Because you're going to give.
[50:06] Richard Romano said you're going to give doesn't care that Corn
[50:08] Frank went to phones. Bro, you're so stupid.
[50:11] It's OK, whatever. OK, over under, over under 250.
[50:14] Under, under, easily under. It's all on camera bro, that's
[50:18] why I'm. Asking These are the players
[50:19] that if if obviously Spurs targets, it means that they they
[50:23] have a plan the the Tel. I'm not, I'm not too impressed
[50:27] with that signing. How much was that in the end?
[50:29] 35 mil. 35 mil for Tel 35? No, but it was 35 mil after you
[50:32] paid a 10 mil loan fee. So it's one of those Chico
[50:34] consesale moves. Yeah, but I'm going.
[50:38] To say they finish in your a European spot like deep in like
[50:42] maybe 6th borderline 7th because now Premier League get 7 spots
[50:46] right every well. It's it's, it's theoretically 6,
[50:51] but assuming that like one of the FA Cup winners is in like
[50:54] the top six, then it gets pushed down.
[50:56] I'm going to say Spurs finish in a European spot and in the
[50:59] Champions League they comfortably make it out of the
[51:02] playoff or whatever they're in and then like maybe like around
[51:05] the 16 exit. I think they're going to beat
[51:07] UVA in the SEAL next year, Fez, I think.
[51:12] I think it's Spurs versus Juventus playoff situation and
[51:16] then Spurs beat you guys like 4-1 on aggregate.
[51:19] I think Manchester United is not going to be in the.
[51:21] Champions League, but more hat trick.
[51:22] All right, that's a good prediction.
[51:23] Already hit one for one. That's how we do it over at Box
[51:27] to Box. Yeah, so this one's more of a
[51:31] layup to you guys because you guys seem to care about this
[51:34] topic more than me, because I realized we're finished, Gattuso
[51:38] announced as the new Italian manager.
[51:41] Is this the all time low of Italian football?
[51:43] Sometimes maybe good. This time it's pretty shit.
[51:46] Yeah, pretty shit. It's pretty shitty.
[51:48] I I think there's, there was no rhyme or reason to a Gattuso
[51:50] appointment. I think he's a passion manager
[51:53] and you need to give him. I would say even with a good
[51:56] team, you still can't have major expectations.
[51:58] He's not a tactician of any sort.
[51:59] No, you got to give this guy a random Croatian team.
[52:03] Yeah, they just take from. He does that.
[52:05] He's had that, he suits. He's, let's be real here, he
[52:08] suits international football more than club football, yes.
[52:10] Probably so. I'm not saying he's good,
[52:13] however. Coach, that's a less tactical,
[52:15] yeah, and has less experience. Good for it, yeah.
[52:18] But he demands a certain of like authority in the dressing room,
[52:22] like when Gattusa walks in, you know?
[52:23] You know a team is not showing up.
[52:25] You know a team is not showing up and not giving their all.
[52:28] No, but I think that dwindles very, very fast like you saw
[52:30] with concert Sao and Milan where I was like he comes demanding a
[52:33] certain level, but if once again.
[52:35] That's club football. You're you have to understand he
[52:39] Gattuso, he's only your manager for eight weeks of the year, 9
[52:43] weeks of the year like like you might dislike Gattuso and do his
[52:48] all, but he will only you will only have Gattuso for two weeks
[52:52] and then you'll go back to your club for.
[52:54] The issue that I have with this is the timing is so bad.
[52:57] Like you're telling me that this entire time you had on your mind
[53:00] that spellity was gonna be gone. And in the meantime, Ancelotti
[53:03] signs for Brazil. Then Zagi leaves for Al Hilal.
[53:06] In Zagi leaves for Aliyah, every every Italian manager is
[53:10] circulating around Seria teams. You have Gasparinis available,
[53:13] all these, all these managers and and you're left with the
[53:16] scraps, which is Gattuso, who has been fired in Croatia.
[53:19] And we, and every time, every time Italy's had a like a
[53:22] manager slot available, we've kind of always picked the top
[53:26] Italian manager. My maybe not the last 10 years,
[53:29] 10 or 15 years, but before that, like you had the leap, you had
[53:32] the Trapa, Tony. Proper players is not a
[53:34] desirable crop of crop of. Player I hate allegity and I
[53:37] would rather I. Like a likely.
[53:38] A likely, I think, would be very, very well suited for the
[53:40] Italian. They didn't even, they didn't
[53:41] even pick a top five Italian manager.
[53:43] Because because that that style of play, like just win
[53:46] regardless of how how you play. I do feel like that's what Italy
[53:48] need right now. To make us qualify for a World
[53:50] Cup. No, you shake your head.
[53:51] But brother. Look at all the top
[53:53] international teams. It's not just win managers.
[53:55] I understand but Italy right now if on the brink of missing a
[53:58] third World Cup. But.
[53:59] It's a Band-Aid. It's a band.
[54:01] Yeah. It's.
[54:02] Like. But you have to.
[54:02] You have to start somewhere. You have to get.
[54:05] So is not the one that's gonna bring back at the.
[54:07] Biggest for World Cup? Right now, no, but like you, you
[54:10] go look like this. This would have been an outside
[54:13] of. This would have been outside of
[54:17] the Italian managers, but like you go look at a Fabregas, OK,
[54:21] Fabregas, when you hear him speak, he speaks about Como and
[54:24] how he needs like how Italian need football needs to develop
[54:26] from the grounds, of course. So a person like that, even
[54:30] though the results may not be good in the short term, long
[54:33] term you're going to get a lot a better crop of players.
[54:36] This long term. But, but it's stupid because it
[54:38] doesn't. It's been 12 years.
[54:40] Yeah, it doesn't. But we've not appointed a long
[54:42] term manager. Kante, I would have wanted him
[54:44] to be a long term manager. Yeah, but he's not.
[54:46] Once again, that's a player that that's a manager that would just
[54:49] be OK, get me the players. I'll figure it out.
[54:52] He's not starting from the ground up of of like.
[54:55] But but it needs to. Start from the top.
[54:56] Down, yeah, but I mean you're it's a different.
[54:58] Vina has to leave. Yes, that's, that's always been,
[55:00] it's been the last 10 years like that.
[55:02] Because you could say Mancini. Had a good project but it ended
[55:04] up VINA. The president does.
[55:06] I know. Who he is, I'm just letting the
[55:08] viewers, oh, sorry, they may not.
[55:10] He's the president of the FIGC, which is.
[55:12] What? What is the FIGC?
[55:13] Italian. Federation Italiano Joko culture
[55:16] the. What does that mean in English?
[55:18] What does that mean in English? The federation?
[55:20] Italian Federation of of of soccer you.
[55:22] Bro there's some people who don't be fucking Italian, bro.
[55:25] OK, sorry, I apologize. I thought you were just trying.
[55:28] To rage me, no. Because we just know it's 'cause
[55:30] when we talk about Italy, like we're, we throw in names and we
[55:33] throw in shit that like most people don't, aren't familiar
[55:35] with. But if you're a Portuguese
[55:36] Portuguese fan like. You do not.
[55:39] Know if we're listening to a podcast and they start, they
[55:41] start speaking about the fucking Spanish Federation, they're
[55:43] naming the head of the Spanish Federation, you won't know what
[55:45] the fuck that is. OK, I apologize.
[55:47] I apologize to our viewers, but. Basically.
[55:50] Gavina is Lord Palpatine in Yeah in.
[55:53] He's playing both sides, he looks like him too, his pockets
[55:55] and and himself. But that, that's the first
[55:58] person that needs to go. Because if you're missing three
[55:59] world, you should have been gone after the first World Cup.
[56:01] Yeah, 'cause this is Italy. This isn't some small team.
[56:05] It's just it's never gonna happen, man.
[56:06] It's never gonna happen. This reform won't happen because
[56:09] the reform needs to be when we reform happens when especially
[56:14] in like the corporate system, it happens when somebody in the in
[56:17] high power has had enough and wants to just wipe the this this
[56:20] the slate clean. In this case, everyone is like
[56:23] is like that at the top. Yeah.
[56:25] So you can't have one guy. I'm sure there's a bunch of low
[56:27] level guys that want to form a revolution.
[56:29] Yes, they can't because they're low guys.
[56:30] And what are you going to do, take over the Italian?
[56:32] Federation voter no confidence. They need to.
[56:34] They need to. It won't happen.
[56:36] That don't just like buy another yes man.
[56:38] But honestly, the one name that's always been circling
[56:40] around Italy for a long time has been Marotta, and I do think
[56:43] that would be a fantastic fit as president of the Italian
[56:46] national team. I don't understand how he's not
[56:48] part of the corruption. I, I, I see him as part of the
[56:51] corruption, not a solution to it.
[56:52] What Brother Marotta is, is the the puppeteer behind everything.
[56:58] He's a genius. When you have when you're able
[57:00] to sign Mikatarian the Italian, he's the only.
[57:02] Give it no money. He's.
[57:03] The only person I think it became the president of the
[57:05] FIGC. I'd actually have full.
[57:07] Confidence. Yeah.
[57:07] OK. And then you'll realize that we
[57:09] won't be playing anyone under the age of 26.
[57:11] No. Because no difference, but as
[57:13] long as there's a strategy, if there's a strategy.
[57:15] Also, Inter have probably the best youth Academy for Italians
[57:19] in Italy. They.
[57:20] Right now, yes they don't for. Italians, they do.
[57:23] Academy, yes. OK, that's wrong because in
[57:26] when? When's the last?
[57:27] Is that a cast today? OK, when's the when's the last
[57:29] inter youth player that's Italian that came through?
[57:31] Francesco Pio Esposito. Four different You're naming
[57:34] people that, not one person that's listening more.
[57:36] That's your top score for Seti B 19 years old Kimberly.
[57:40] You're not helping yourself. Yeah, shut the fuck up right
[57:41] now. Shut the fuck up.
[57:42] Why the fuck up? The issue, the issue is that
[57:44] Italian football is so down that there we have no talent coming
[57:48] up but but like La Minamal, we Demarcos we don't have.
[57:51] That the Demarcos even the ability to a real life 28 yeah,
[57:55] but he came through inter Academy yeah, after but he came
[58:01] through though that's the that's like saying Chelsea's youth
[58:04] Academy like like doesn't count because players went on loan
[58:07] like no, that's stupid. They counted levels.
[58:08] It's just levels. Like a player like Bastoni, the
[58:11] ability to see that ability, the ability to see, I'm going to
[58:16] just say the ability to see that ability and spend 40 million on
[58:19] him as a 17 year old or 18 year old is a very good like that's
[58:23] insane talent ID and you know that that player can turn into a
[58:27] generational player. So even Barela, he's the only
[58:30] one that's able to see Italian talent for what it is, like the
[58:35] the real gems. I agree.
[58:36] And, and, and it's not like he's tied down by, by transfer
[58:40] strategy and, and budgets and money and bottom lines and stuff
[58:44] like you're able to to affect the grass like grass root level
[58:48] Italian football. So.
[58:49] I would hate Marotta. I don't, I don't hate to shout.
[58:51] I I think it's it's good, but just.
[58:54] What's your alternative, Paula? Literally no one.
[58:57] I I don't know, like I I don't Maldini.
[58:59] I'm not No, of course not. I'm not there.
[59:01] I don't know. I wouldn't mind Maldini bro.
[59:03] I don't know bro. I wouldn't mind if you go get a
[59:08] a an Italian manager, let's say that's had experience in Europe
[59:12] and bring in non Italian people to be the head of this scouting
[59:15] department, the head of this youth.
[59:17] This like it doesn't always have to be within Italy.
[59:19] Oh I agree the manager, my manager has to be Italian.
[59:23] But the other ones can just be proven proven people.
[59:26] But. Why will it never happen just
[59:27] because you say so? Like why will it never happen?
[59:29] Because Italian the the culture is so archaic around this type
[59:33] of thinking that it will like you're.
[59:36] So you think you think Italian is worse than Brazil?
[59:39] I think, I think with with the idea of hiring someone that
[59:43] isn't that nationality, yes. No, it's coming.
[59:45] Look at Ferrari. This is the whole culture
[59:47] shifting it. That's the Ferrari's been dismal
[59:50] for. I think I'm saying like Vassar
[59:52] the appointment of Vassar like he was part of Ferrari in the
[59:55] past but like they hired a non Italian team principal.
[59:59] Yeah, but he's been part of the system for.
[1:00:01] Hamilton like, we could have signed, we could have signed.
[1:00:04] Well, yeah, John thought like and we that was our most
[1:00:06] successful like. Yeah, but still, I I mean, like
[1:00:09] look at Hamilton, we could have signed Antonelli, Antonelli
[1:00:12] which was Italian, Italian youth, Yeah, I agree.
[1:00:14] But on the F1 side, I agree. I there I feel like Italians
[1:00:18] there needs to be a shift away from Italian, Italian, Italian
[1:00:22] because obviously Italians are not developing proper anything
[1:00:26] at this point inside of the playing side.
[1:00:28] I do think that if, if, if there is reform and the grassroots
[1:00:32] levels changed, I don't think we'll ever get a Laminia Mao
[1:00:36] coming out of the ranks straight into a first team.
[1:00:37] That'll never happened. We had like in Francesco Totti,
[1:00:40] we had Del Piero, we had all these fucking generational
[1:00:43] players. But now, because Laminia Mao, we
[1:00:45] can't do that. Bro.
[1:00:46] Spain 20-30 years ago was a fucking Ugat's nation.
[1:00:49] We also we also have to understand Italian football.
[1:00:51] The majority of them are now shifting to A352 and that that
[1:00:57] inhibits the growth of wingers and the Packers.
[1:01:00] But who cares? That cares about not going the
[1:01:02] next laminium out. We can grow the next pedry
[1:01:04] though. Last podcast I literally said
[1:01:06] that we can grow. The next Why?
[1:01:07] Crazy that you think that. Like I don't think we said on
[1:01:09] the we said. I, I said it, I remember seeing
[1:01:11] the cast. No, I was seeing it on the
[1:01:12] podcast. Who cares if we don't develop
[1:01:14] the next laminium? No, because we can develop the
[1:01:15] next two. Bellingham 252 hinders a winger.
[1:01:18] We can. There's a reason why we have no.
[1:01:20] Good forward we can. Develop the next Holland that
[1:01:24] like. But we don't because our three.
[1:01:27] 52 We have two strikers, we should have more Hollands
[1:01:29] theoretic we, we. Focus too much on on the
[1:01:32] tactical side of things instead of the technical side of things
[1:01:35] that hinders your. Problem I agree, but who cares
[1:01:37] about developing wingers? If you're if you say, say, oh,
[1:01:40] we're gonna What do you mean who cares about?
[1:01:42] Then forget Laminia Mal and Nico Williams.
[1:01:44] You're never gonna have. That I don't want.
[1:01:46] If we're playing 352, I don't want Laminia Mal or Nico
[1:01:48] Williams. Give me Holland, though, yeah.
[1:01:49] But then we play. We should be playing.
[1:01:51] You're not getting a Holland. I don't need Laminia Mal give me
[1:01:54] good players. I don't give a talk about what
[1:01:55] position they play. Millie, your team literally went
[1:01:57] we don't. Have the players.
[1:01:58] Finals because and we shot the bed both times.
[1:02:01] So what? But I mean, So what?
[1:02:02] That's unrelated. You made 2 champions, you made
[1:02:04] the team with loving Yamal and fucking with A-35.
[1:02:07] I understand, but I'm telling like from a a development level,
[1:02:10] if you're gonna shoehorn every single winger in Italy, a youth
[1:02:14] level winger to A352 wing back, you will not have the the techie
[1:02:19] left wingers skinny a fast like they're gonna need to put on
[1:02:23] muscle and be wing backs. But look at our strikers, Moise,
[1:02:25] Keen, Scamaka, all these guys are are Howlin prototype
[1:02:29] players. They're just shit.
[1:02:30] But they're Howlin prototype players.
[1:02:31] We are breeding that type of striker we should.
[1:02:34] None of them are good. Lorenzo, Luca, they're just big
[1:02:36] target men. They're just shit.
[1:02:38] And then and then big target men aren't technical, big target men
[1:02:41] aren't fast. Then you put them with wing
[1:02:42] backs that aren't fast. Early Highland works because he
[1:02:46] has. Two wingers next to him.
[1:02:47] Bro we we developed Destiny Udogi that motherfucker fast.
[1:02:50] Yeah. But then, OK, he's OK.
[1:02:52] Just cause DeMarco doesn't mean that's the prototypical.
[1:02:55] Italian. I'm not bringing up the If
[1:02:56] anything he does, you should start over.
[1:02:58] A guy like a guy like come, yeah.
[1:02:59] So it's not a prototypical Italian player.
[1:03:01] He's 2 footed. He can work up, he can work
[1:03:03] back. He's he's more of a Spanish type
[1:03:05] player. These guys need to play left
[1:03:06] back and and right back. Yes, we need a right wing and
[1:03:08] left wing. We have no.
[1:03:10] Why? Why are you saying like what?
[1:03:11] Because that's because you're just copy and pasting what works
[1:03:14] for Spain. No, because, because we are not.
[1:03:17] That's arrogance. That's what you're.
[1:03:19] Saying is that we can develop an Italian in way of playing and
[1:03:23] stick to that. We don't need if if we get
[1:03:26] Lemmingham out, amazing. You're missing like wingers and
[1:03:29] everything missing, but we don't need.
[1:03:32] We just gotta have a what's your point?
[1:03:33] The point is that we're focusing, focusing too much on
[1:03:36] the defensive side of things, the tactical ones, to stay in
[1:03:39] this position, stay in a deep block.
[1:03:40] You're not. You're not focusing on the
[1:03:42] technical ability. Sure.
[1:03:43] We have no one who could take a man 1 View 1.
[1:03:45] Doesn't mean we need a dribble winger.
[1:03:47] That doesn't mean there's center mids who dribble, there's center
[1:03:50] mids who dribble we have. Center mids that don't dribble
[1:03:53] bro. But understand the issue, we
[1:03:55] don't need fucking lemming your mouth bro.
[1:03:57] I'm not asking we need fucking wingers.
[1:03:58] Who cares? We just need players.
[1:04:00] We need good players. What do we have?
[1:04:01] Players bro and dribble 0 fucking people now we have to do
[1:04:06] a full. Revolution.
[1:04:07] Because that's because. That's 'cause we're in Italy and
[1:04:09] we're broken. All that shit bro.
[1:04:10] You guys made 2 seal finals with 0 dribbles.
[1:04:14] As as a player and that's that's.
[1:04:16] Horrible. As a youth. 0 dribbles is not
[1:04:18] the way of it's for producing talent as a youth doesn't.
[1:04:21] Work. You want to watch drippy
[1:04:22] wingers? I don't get.
[1:04:23] No wingers. Or we are shit.
[1:04:25] It's not about you. It's not.
[1:04:26] About all the Italian It's not about drippiness.
[1:04:28] You know what it is? Technical ability.
[1:04:30] No, because because unfortunately ignorance bro.
[1:04:33] As as a young Italian midfielder, let's say you will
[1:04:37] be brought up to scan. Find the open man.
[1:04:40] As soon as you get the ball, pass.
[1:04:41] As soon as you get ball, pass. I agree.
[1:04:43] That's an issue, but that doesn't mean we need love in
[1:04:44] your mouth. Can I finish?
[1:04:45] Go give me a SEC because unfortunately if you breed
[1:04:49] midfielders that only do one touch, one two touch try to find
[1:04:52] the next man because that's what the tactics say.
[1:04:54] You will never unlock the abilities of youth players that
[1:04:57] may have the skill set to not necessarily be a la Mina Mao,
[1:05:02] but unlock them to be very elite level players like a key has a
[1:05:06] I'm sorry that EUR when he won I I struggle to find a winger that
[1:05:10] technical in Italy that could play like that consistently.
[1:05:14] It will not happen in a 352. I am sorry it will not happen.
[1:05:17] In the Euro, 2020 was our savior.
[1:05:18] And what do we play 4231? Yeah, we and Spain, what do they
[1:05:22] play 4231? I'm not saying play exactly like
[1:05:24] Spain, but I'm saying there's a formula that Italy has had for
[1:05:27] decades, which was a bad, which has always been a 4231.
[1:05:31] Develop the wingers, develop midfielders, and you play
[1:05:33] cohesively like that. Not so you're saying we.
[1:05:35] Need to change the formation. Wow, revolutionary.
[1:05:40] No. If you want to play, if we, we
[1:05:41] could play. Right now our squad is most
[1:05:44] suited to 352 because our. Grass roots are are shoehorning
[1:05:48] us into 352. Once it there's ways of winning
[1:05:52] with 352. There's ways, but there is I
[1:05:54] think this is a a very good crop of like in context.
[1:05:59] I do think in the last 10 years the crop of Italian players have
[1:06:02] grown. No, you will not tell me after
[1:06:06] watching 24131415 that this Italy team is worst, worst level
[1:06:11] crop than that team. You will not tell me that.
[1:06:12] Yeah, that's, yeah, that is we had Penuche, we had that.
[1:06:15] Is not that is not youth level talent, but we had no that is
[1:06:17] mid 2000s fucking but exactly won the World Cup.
[1:06:21] Tell me a year, I'm going to look it up.
[1:06:22] Our midfield is looking better. 2016 Italy it's our forward
[1:06:27] either 2015 or 2017 when the. Issue is consistently our
[1:06:31] forwards. We have no cross forwards.
[1:06:33] But that they're not breeding don't need to be dribbling
[1:06:35] fucking Laminia mouth. No, they can be Earling Howlin.
[1:06:38] They can be fucking low in Dallas.
[1:06:39] How do you? Know they're breeding on early
[1:06:41] how? Yeah.
[1:06:41] How do you think that comes? But once again, if you we don't
[1:06:45] need you said we need Laminia mouth, we need dribbling, we
[1:06:48] need shit like that. No, no, that's gonna come from
[1:06:50] other place wingbacks can dribble.
[1:06:52] That's just because they don't do it at inter.
[1:06:54] No doesn't mean that you're. Taking my Yeah, he's he's
[1:06:56] dumbing down your whole argument.
[1:06:58] I'm saying I didn't say we need a Laminia mouth.
[1:07:00] I'm saying the way that the the the Italian system is built upon
[1:07:04] right now in a 352, you inhibit the evolution of youth players
[1:07:08] that could be playing similar to La Minamal.
[1:07:11] I'm not saying look for La Minamal.
[1:07:12] I'm saying the way we play your shoe, you're shoehorning youth
[1:07:16] players that may have the ability to be technical into
[1:07:19] very tactical robotics. Exactly.
[1:07:22] Straight over are countering you by saying why do I need a la
[1:07:25] minamal when I. Because the issue, no, no, no.
[1:07:28] The issue is that the youth teams are two results focused.
[1:07:32] That's the issue. OK, we're getting into a topic
[1:07:34] where we I. Don't know idea about.
[1:07:35] No, it is it is Italians are two results focused.
[1:07:38] Well, listen, you are you. Teams I don't need to win, no.
[1:07:41] No, no, that's different because our youth teams actually do
[1:07:43] perform well in international tournaments.
[1:07:45] But then they they never develop into actual fucking players.
[1:07:48] That's a different step, that's a different level.
[1:07:49] I do think AU 23 team does help that.
[1:07:53] I do think that if you allow players to grow and be able to
[1:07:57] like that, it's a whole culture thing at the end of the day.
[1:07:59] But I do think that the system that Italy plays right now,
[1:08:02] we're we're not allowing youth players to really express
[1:08:05] themselves and show how tactically sound they are or
[1:08:09] that how they could be. That's that's just the reality
[1:08:11] of it. Yeah.
[1:08:12] Imagine firms as a techie winger being the only way to play on
[1:08:16] the Italian national team is Fox.
[1:08:17] You have to be a right wing back and you have to always look for
[1:08:20] the open pass. You cannot.
[1:08:21] And the open pass is always backward because there's no one.
[1:08:23] Forward, you can't take on the open man and you're going to
[1:08:25] have to overlap with the midfielder or whatever like
[1:08:27] that. Like it completely goes against
[1:08:29] the way a winger plays. I've I've heard both of you
[1:08:31] guys, I've heard both of you guys criticize Pep Wingers, that
[1:08:36] they always come back and they don't take the man anymore.
[1:08:38] But then Grimaldo who's a fucking wing back can't play for
[1:08:41] Spain because he doesn't have a fucking 4 back.
[1:08:44] He's playing left back. He's not playing left back.
[1:08:46] But you do understand there's a Nico Williams in front of him?
[1:08:48] OK, but OK, that's so stupid though.
[1:08:51] Sometimes that means that you have fucking DeMarco behind you.
[1:08:54] Like like there there's there's ways of playing that aren't just
[1:08:58] fucking 433. I can't there's ways of.
[1:09:01] Playing that you not a 352. Yes I agree a demon right now is
[1:09:05] most suited to 352 so developed players are 3/5.
[1:09:08] Two developed players 352 and what happens?
[1:09:10] We end up losing 3 nothing to no, so that happens.
[1:09:12] OK, so now we're going to go to 4231 and we're going to shoehorn
[1:09:14] Bastoni into a four. No, I think now it's too late.
[1:09:17] Marco has a left back, no? Yeah, until gas was a right
[1:09:19] back. Now I think it's too late
[1:09:20] because now we have no choice but to go in with the manager
[1:09:23] that plays 352 or whatever. I forget.
[1:09:25] Being too late, we have no. Choice.
[1:09:27] If the youth, if EU seventeens that just won the that just won
[1:09:30] the whatever EU nineteens and the U20 ones and all these guys,
[1:09:33] yeah, if they play 433 football, yeah, they do.
[1:09:35] They can develop wingers that are good Yeah, that would
[1:09:39] happen. The Italian national team will
[1:09:40] have wingers that are good and then and then we can play at 433
[1:09:43] and then. That's exactly what.
[1:09:45] Every every club level, every club team is playing 3/5.
[1:09:48] The U-17 EU nineteens and U20 ones do not have to play 35
[1:09:51] twos. They're not playing 35 twos.
[1:09:53] So then what's your point? That there's wingers coming up
[1:09:56] and they they're put it as right wing backs and left wing back.
[1:09:58] Now, those wingers that play U21, those wingers that play
[1:10:01] U21, I don't know them off the top of my head, but the one
[1:10:04] 'cause I play U21, they know that if they want to play for
[1:10:06] the senior team, they're have to.
[1:10:07] They're going to play wing back. There's no way around any of
[1:10:10] them playing WE. Ever get a generational winger?
[1:10:12] I can assure you that the Italian national team will
[1:10:15] change the formation so that there are wingers if we ever get
[1:10:17] a general. We're not changing the formation
[1:10:18] from Matteo Conchilieri exactly. We are not doing that but but.
[1:10:21] Why? Why?
[1:10:22] Because we don't. Because now you're bringing up
[1:10:24] Conchilieri as this, as this fodder player.
[1:10:26] Why? Because.
[1:10:27] This is a fodder player, but. The system that we play don't
[1:10:30] allow wingers to force. Spain develop La Minamal or did
[1:10:32] Barsa develop Luna Barsa Barsa, but he's also played for Spain.
[1:10:37] Yeah, but he barely did. He barely did before he became
[1:10:39] gold. Well, yeah, because all of a
[1:10:40] sudden he's 1617 years old. He's so good he could play for
[1:10:42] the National. Team Barsa have instilled bro
[1:10:45] that's like the that's. Barsa you bring up the the the
[1:10:48] best best youth team in the fucking.
[1:10:50] That's what you're doing, That's what you're saying.
[1:10:52] You're saying we should market our we should copy and paste
[1:10:54] Spain is what you guys are saying?
[1:10:56] I'm not saying copy paste, I'm saying the way the way that we
[1:11:00] play does not allow for attacking players to flourish.
[1:11:03] It doesn't. Why can't we score?
[1:11:05] Because our attacking. Players they're playing for,
[1:11:07] they're playing for a club. Scored seven goals against Bar,
[1:11:09] so they're playing A-35. And which strikers were Italian?
[1:11:12] But the point is that the fucking Italians don't develop.
[1:11:16] Because we're forced to. We're forcing them to play
[1:11:18] positions they can't play anyways.
[1:11:19] We're. Gonna tell you we can't go in
[1:11:20] circles. You're not gonna convince them
[1:11:22] we can't. Develop a lot.
[1:11:23] I believe you guys enjoy watching A352 where they're
[1:11:26] enjoy. Watching.
[1:11:27] Enjoy watching good players. I don't give a fuck about the
[1:11:30] formation. I don't give a fuck.
[1:11:32] I wanna watch good play. Yeah, you wanna I say that too,
[1:11:35] until we're about to miss three World Cups and because.
[1:11:37] We can't develop good players because you guys don't have a we
[1:11:40] do. I do not have a LAMA.
[1:11:42] Yeah, they do not have a Fabricant.
[1:11:44] They do not have a Carrington. They do not have.
[1:11:46] That shit Mellie this this like mic like this bringing a
[1:11:50] microscope over this winger issue.
[1:11:53] It's not a winger. You are dumbing it down on the
[1:11:55] winger. Let me finish.
[1:11:56] Let me but. It's a stupid.
[1:11:57] Argument. So you're, you're, you're taking
[1:12:00] a little corner of this and extrapolating it to the whole
[1:12:02] squad. We've played with the two center
[1:12:05] mids for the eternity of fucking time and we will forever play
[1:12:08] with two center mids. Why have we not developed a
[1:12:10] player even at the Chalanoglu level up till now is?
[1:12:14] That a gista. Right now I box the box we have
[1:12:19] behind them. Who the fuck is playing behind
[1:12:20] them? No.
[1:12:22] Bro why aren't we developing a top level center mid like a
[1:12:25] world class belly inside? I would say our midfielders.
[1:12:27] You guys are talking about your mouth.
[1:12:28] Why are we talking about Bellingham like we've we've
[1:12:31] always been able to develop ACM? We have good midfielders and we
[1:12:33] have good defenders, but unfortunately it's a, it's a
[1:12:36] full package. If we have very good young
[1:12:39] attacking players coming up the ranks playing different styles
[1:12:42] of football, then we I honestly think we'd have a better chance
[1:12:45] of finding a, a higher level talent.
[1:12:47] But if you're shoehorning every single player to play 352 and
[1:12:51] that's the the only way you could play in order to play for
[1:12:53] the Italian national team, you will unfortunately have players
[1:12:56] that fall through the cracks that may have been may have had
[1:12:59] the ability to play elite level football, but unfortunately will
[1:13:03] not be able to because they're stuck playing 352.
[1:13:06] I don't agree. I honestly just tell them to
[1:13:08] leave Italy. That like play club somewhere
[1:13:11] else. OK Raspidori.
[1:13:13] Yeah, you're trying to bring up like the fucking Raspidori That
[1:13:15] guys dog shit. I'm not.
[1:13:17] I'm bringing up brought up Raspidori.
[1:13:19] I'm talking about the from a systemic level.
[1:13:21] You're bringing up individuals, I'm bringing up systemic issues.
[1:13:25] Why do we have a Raspadori? Why do we?
[1:13:28] Because the. Clubs aren't investing enough
[1:13:30] into their Academy, it's the clubs that are the issue within
[1:13:33] the system. They are part of the issue.
[1:13:34] They're. Part of the issue they are.
[1:13:36] Because and because. It's playing a 352 that's the
[1:13:38] only issue. Sure, they bring up players with
[1:13:40] 352. Not.
[1:13:41] Italian wingers bring up Italian winger.
[1:13:43] Thing I'm saying, if an Italian winger exists and he's fucking
[1:13:46] good, he will play winger at you think he will play winger at
[1:13:49] Milan? He'll play winger at the last
[1:13:50] nation monopoly. He'll play winger everywhere,
[1:13:52] not about only enter. It's not about being wingers.
[1:13:54] It's about the it's it's in a technical.
[1:13:56] Really team that plays A352 we. Do not.
[1:13:59] Not necessarily. Half of city up, Yeah.
[1:14:01] Napoli enter. Roma played, You've played.
[1:14:05] The played the point plays. The play whatever wins.
[1:14:08] The point Play a three back. The five back.
[1:14:11] For fucking the last five. Games The point is, we do not
[1:14:14] have a la Macia, we do not have a la Fabrica.
[1:14:15] We do not have a Carrington. We do not.
[1:14:18] There's six academies better in England than our best Academy.
[1:14:21] There's like, it's it's just France, every single fucking
[1:14:26] Leon Nice. All these academies have better
[1:14:28] academies than us. It's it's just, it's the clubs
[1:14:32] need to invest more into their Academy.
[1:14:34] It's just a fact, nothing will happen without investment.
[1:14:37] Portugal have easily fucking Porto, Benfica, sporting all
[1:14:43] clear of our best Academy even though they'd have 110% of the
[1:14:47] resources available to them. They have much better academies.
[1:14:50] Because they have to rely on them.
[1:14:52] They're they're, they have no choice but to rely on them.
[1:14:54] So why are why are we not relying on them?
[1:14:56] We are. We tried to act like we're top
[1:14:57] of the food chain. Meanwhile we're fucking middle
[1:14:59] I. Agree but we also it needs to be
[1:15:01] a a cohesive effort from the Italian federation and the clubs
[1:15:06] not no one is helping each other.
[1:15:07] Do you understand? No one is helping each other at
[1:15:11] any point. Have you seen the Italian
[1:15:12] national team go to the clubs and say we need to, we need to
[1:15:16] reform how we bring up Italian youth?
[1:15:18] No, they're 2 completely different things that don't help
[1:15:20] each other. Even though we have said
[1:15:22] multiple times the clubs and the national team need to work
[1:15:25] together, it doesn't work, it doesn't happen, it does not
[1:15:29] happen. And and for you to say and for
[1:15:31] you to say that we don't need a la Mina Mal is is ignorant.
[1:15:35] That can have a la Mina Mal. Of left wing backs we can have a
[1:15:38] la Mina Mal. That's embarrassing, that is.
[1:15:40] Embarrassing. Left what?
[1:15:42] Did I say that? Was that fucking crazy?
[1:15:44] We can. Have the we can have.
[1:15:45] The LA Mina Mal of strikers. We can have the LA Mina Mal of
[1:15:48] fucking two strikers. Oh my God.
[1:15:50] Formations. Yeah, like La Mina Mal is just
[1:15:52] like what? I don't understand if we can't
[1:15:55] develop and bopping. I'll wait for it.
[1:15:57] We. Can't Billy Billy.
[1:15:58] If we had Soloff and Holland as our two striker options we would
[1:16:02] score. We would be.
[1:16:03] We would be OK yes because you have Cambias with DeMarco
[1:16:05] crossing into Soloff and fucking Holland and and Barrella, Tonali
[1:16:09] and Locatelli providing issues. Believe me, we're fine.
[1:16:12] We'll see. No, no, we would be fine in that
[1:16:15] Holland sore love situation, but we can't develop.
[1:16:16] But we hype up fucking Scamaka just because he does a couple of
[1:16:19] flicks and then he fucking busts out West Ham.
[1:16:21] Did I say did I? Yeah, OK.
[1:16:22] When he was at I. Really, I think it's so naive
[1:16:25] saying that changing the formation to so that we'd have
[1:16:27] wingers in the Italian national team would do absolutely
[1:16:30] anything. The problems are so far away
[1:16:32] from the formation it's not even funny.
[1:16:34] It would help breeding technical talent.
[1:16:36] You focus too much on tactical. I'm gonna keep saying it's the
[1:16:39] same shit. I agree.
[1:16:40] We're going in circles. I agree 'cause we pride
[1:16:41] ourselves on that as Italians. I'm gonna pride ourselves on
[1:16:44] missing three World Cups. That's what I'm gonna.
[1:16:46] Say OK, sorry but you could be. Identity.
[1:16:48] Who gives a shit about identity brother, I want to see my team
[1:16:50] play at World Cup. Don't give a fuck about the
[1:16:52] identity. So let's go sign a random
[1:16:54] fucking manager. And.
[1:16:55] Beat 3 buyer. OK, so you're OK with us signing
[1:16:57] a non Italian manager? In.
[1:16:58] Limits. That's not that all there.
[1:17:01] No, there's integrity now. Because I'm unfortunately like
[1:17:04] you have to. You can't pick and choose.
[1:17:05] You can't pick and choose you. You become England or you stay
[1:17:08] as Italian. Barvar OK.
[1:17:10] You, you always talk to us about the wingers and the Prem and
[1:17:13] compared to the wingers in Syria and the, the defensive side of,
[1:17:16] of covering those wingers in Syria.
[1:17:18] Wouldn't you say that the Prem has a fucking a stronghold on
[1:17:22] 1/1? England Prem does not equal
[1:17:24] England. It's actually is similar.
[1:17:26] All the way they bring up players is similar but the best
[1:17:30] wingers in the Prem are not English.
[1:17:32] Like there's only Saka really, and that's about it.
[1:17:34] It's it's not bro. What Saka?
[1:17:37] Defensive line is is from the Prem.
[1:17:40] Yeah, oh, the team is mostly from the Prem, but they're teams
[1:17:42] from like Crystal Palace and shit like that.
[1:17:44] It's not. It's not like soccer.
[1:17:46] That's a healthy league. Yeah, that's healthy.
[1:17:48] I agree. I agree, yes, but the Italian
[1:17:50] league, they're just producing no one like we can we can have a
[1:17:54] fucking Holland. That's not There's no one
[1:17:56] stopping us from developing a. Holland the the Italian
[1:17:59] Federation. Developing aluminium out.
[1:18:00] Agree. We won't develop aluminium out.
[1:18:02] There's no reason for us not to develop a Holland.
[1:18:04] That's all I'll say. Not we won't, because we're,
[1:18:07] we're, we're still focusing on the defensive side of things, of
[1:18:09] being tactically sound. You guys really think if we
[1:18:11] change this formation that you guys are?
[1:18:13] No, it's not about changing the formation.
[1:18:14] It's about about a ground. Roots level teaching youth
[1:18:16] players that they can they can explain themselves technical.
[1:18:20] Levels. It it's about when you get a,
[1:18:22] when you get the ball. As a winger, you go forward,
[1:18:24] don't go backwards, Simple as that.
[1:18:26] You take the man on, you dribble him.
[1:18:27] But we have no dribbles on our team bro.
[1:18:29] With a three back formation they cannot be technical.
[1:18:32] Who is the technical players on this?
[1:18:34] Team, but that doesn't. That's not a formation issue.
[1:18:37] No, but, but we're not talking. Varati Varati did it all, did it
[1:18:40] all by himself. No, because I'm well, we're.
[1:18:42] We have to leave Italy to do it. What me and Ferns are saying is
[1:18:46] that from a from a a youth level play Italian play Italian youth.
[1:18:51] Kids are are taught play by play by what the coach says and do
[1:18:56] not make mistakes and only play tactically if you mess.
[1:18:59] Up. Nothing to do with the
[1:19:00] formation, that's what I'm. Saying I agree, but it's
[1:19:03] factors. It's factors, no.
[1:19:04] Because the 352 only breeds, tactical play only breeds.
[1:19:08] So no, we change it. Exactly how did he play 352 So.
[1:19:11] Jabby Alonso so that's so. Jabby Alonso's fucking players
[1:19:15] are not created. Florian Verds did not succeed
[1:19:18] under fucking. What are you trying to say?
[1:19:20] So Florian Verds. Be creative, Chabby Alonso,
[1:19:22] Florian Verts. He did nothing for his
[1:19:24] development. What does that but do you
[1:19:27] understand? That three points.
[1:19:28] How many? Dribblers.
[1:19:28] Is there another point what I'll never cusen?
[1:19:30] How many? Dribblers do they have they're
[1:19:32] Florian crimp on. We can, we can develop a fucking
[1:19:34] crimp on. That's a little That's one of
[1:19:37] the best dribblers in the fucking world right now.
[1:19:39] And the way that we play does not allow for.
[1:19:41] A You get a fucking Patrick Schick and you get a Florian
[1:19:44] verse you. Win players in a 352.
[1:19:46] You can develop them whatever we can speak we're going to under.
[1:19:49] I think you need to understand the crop that players that we
[1:19:51] have. Yeah, OK, it's.
[1:19:52] Not because of the three. Developer 352.
[1:19:54] But then you are missing out on players that have the technical
[1:19:57] ability to be the key as a level, or even better because
[1:20:00] you're shoehorning them in left wing back, right wing back, or
[1:20:02] you're shoehorning them into a striker.
[1:20:04] We need to I agree we need to on emphasize more on on technical
[1:20:08] but has nothing to do with changing formations.
[1:20:10] It helps has. Nothing helped, nothing to do as
[1:20:13] a winger. If I were to be play as a left
[1:20:15] wing back I I'd be like what? What am I?
[1:20:17] Doing here. Oh sure, 100% if you are, I
[1:20:20] would. Because I wouldn't be a strike.
[1:20:21] Club, but for your club if you were that.
[1:20:24] If we were teaching kids from four years old, that's if you
[1:20:26] were teaching kids from four years old, you were playing
[1:20:28] center mid, you would not give a fuck about this 352 bullshit.
[1:20:31] Center mid, obviously we're good with that.
[1:20:34] But then the issue is so everything else.
[1:20:36] So then the issue is that you were, if yes, till 16 years old
[1:20:40] you were told to play left winger.
[1:20:41] Meanwhile there's no open left winger.
[1:20:43] Play every team. If we're going to stick to
[1:20:45] three, five, 290% and the teams in Italy should be playing 352.
[1:20:49] Listen, the last thing, the last last thing I'm saying about this
[1:20:52] is we've been, we've needed Italy's always had a prolific
[1:20:56] strike, Italy, Italy and and prolific strikers go hand in
[1:20:59] hand. We've never had a generation
[1:21:00] where like Spain, where it's Alvaro Morata or like someone
[1:21:02] that I mean not. Now it's been since 2012.
[1:21:05] OK. Right now I'm saying 2012.
[1:21:06] So I'm saying historically we've always had good strikers, OK?
[1:21:10] And we've always had formations that benefit strikers.
[1:21:12] And now we have 2 strikers, yeah.
[1:21:14] And we haven't developed one even I'd say world class, not
[1:21:17] even 1 elite striker. OK.
[1:21:19] So not even 1. So why?
[1:21:21] Not allow for? Why not allow me for?
[1:21:23] My thought, go for it that that just proves that regardless if
[1:21:27] you have fucking wingers, you're playing a 352, you're playing a
[1:21:29] 41212. It doesn't matter.
[1:21:30] We are just not developing the talent.
[1:21:33] And why? Why aren't?
[1:21:35] Why isn't that talent developing?
[1:21:36] Because about coaching. By coaching, we need to go grab
[1:21:39] the best. Nations in the world.
[1:21:40] So who makes who makes the formations?
[1:21:42] The coaches? Who makes the tactical?
[1:21:44] It's. Not it's not about the
[1:21:46] formation, it's about the coaching.
[1:21:47] You can coach a player to be world class in a three back
[1:21:50] formation. That's so stupid, OK, It's so,
[1:21:52] so stupid. You'll get Gwenda.
[1:21:54] Gwenda who's a fucking winger balled out under Amerem in a
[1:21:58] three back formation even though he is a playing 433.
[1:22:01] In our fucking life you're bringing up, it's.
[1:22:03] Portuguese football knows how to develop talent.
[1:22:06] Italian football doesn't know how to develop town.
[1:22:08] We don't have a fucking quenda. We.
[1:22:10] Don't have one, but we aren't OK Anyways, we're going back and
[1:22:12] yeah, what am I? My point?
[1:22:14] It's finished. Summarize for the people that
[1:22:16] wanna just skip over this is that Italy do not allow for the
[1:22:19] environment for those players to develop into elite level
[1:22:22] players. We do not allow you.
[1:22:23] Agree. So stop bringing up the
[1:22:25] formation 'cause it has nothing to do with the formation.
[1:22:27] So the. Holland.
[1:22:27] That has to be the Holland that has to shoehorn his way into
[1:22:30] playing like a a false 9A hold up striker, because that's what
[1:22:33] the Italian formation says. And a 352 Holland, yeah.
[1:22:37] He can play exactly the same way he wants.
[1:22:38] But no problem fucking. Actually, I disagree in Spain.
[1:22:41] In Spain he'd be shoehorn. The Holland would not develop in
[1:22:43] Spain. You're blind.
[1:22:44] So blind, I think. I think they should go to a
[1:22:46] three back or five. Back in Spain now, they're
[1:22:48] mocking us because they know that they're stupid.
[1:22:50] Anyway, so Next up, Inter being shit.
[1:22:53] So now you got me riled up for this shit, but I'm not gonna.
[1:22:55] I'm gonna stay calm because I actually can't.
[1:22:58] First, I can't believe that you guys take that stance on Italy.
[1:23:00] I cannot believe it. Yeah, cannot believe.
[1:23:02] Very backward stance. Yeah, yeah, let's live me.
[1:23:04] Saying that, we need better coaches and develop players for
[1:23:07] the Italian way of you don't know you're.
[1:23:09] Almost saying the same thing that we were saying.
[1:23:11] You know what's crazy is the one that's actually trying to stay
[1:23:14] to the roots of Italy the most out of all three of us, I'm the
[1:23:17] one that's saying we can play Italian football.
[1:23:20] Just modernize. Agree.
[1:23:21] Keep the identity. And how do you modernize it?
[1:23:24] I'm not the fucking. If I had the answers, I would be
[1:23:26] the fucking coach on the. Modernizing emblems?
[1:23:28] No solution? No.
[1:23:29] The answers me too. I wanna modernize.
[1:23:31] It I'm I'm not, I can just tell you that the people doing it
[1:23:33] right now are not the right. But we're for Bozo.
[1:23:35] Sitting on a couch. Yeah, We don't know what we.
[1:23:37] Have eyes. We have eyes and we we have.
[1:23:39] Million Million's gonna lead the revolution of the Italian
[1:23:42] national team and change the formation.
[1:23:44] Forbid I have an opinion. No, but all we do is watch the
[1:23:46] games. That's we just watch the Italian
[1:23:48] national team at the top. Line I just know that the
[1:23:50] players I'm watching right now are not good enough.
[1:23:53] That's all I know not. Good enough?
[1:23:54] Maybe in OK, sure. In a 352, sure it's OK.
[1:23:58] So if we went to 433, Zakani would be fucking carrying.
[1:24:00] I wouldn't know because we haven't seen them play 4231.
[1:24:02] I wouldn't know, but God forbid I asked for another Kiaza to
[1:24:06] show up in the Italian the. Problem is so is so far away
[1:24:09] from that bro like look at the defenders aside from Bastoni is
[1:24:13] the is the the he covers all Yeah, we bro look at Brazil.
[1:24:17] They have fucking 10 defenders better than ours. 10 defenders
[1:24:20] better than our second center back.
[1:24:21] Excuse me but we don't have good center back.
[1:24:23] True. Brazil.
[1:24:24] Bro Brazil but Giordano maybe is good.
[1:24:26] That was a that's a good center back.
[1:24:28] Maybe like Brazil is, but he's not.
[1:24:29] Better than Marquinios Edgar Militao like bro we're counting
[1:24:33] out of. Militaria for over a year.
[1:24:35] OK, so then theoretically like so?
[1:24:38] Scalvini doesn't count anymore because he was injured.
[1:24:40] Yeah, like, bro, we, we just don't develop talent.
[1:24:43] We really don't develop talent. Yeah, we have good fucking
[1:24:46] managers and good goalies. All right, enter.
[1:24:48] What about it? You left for two weeks.
[1:24:50] Yeah, and we did a podcast. Right after the What Do You
[1:24:53] Want? A lot has happened since that
[1:24:54] podcast. Yeah, a lot has happened.
[1:24:56] What? Do you want?
[1:24:57] So in the last two weeks, I would say Inter's club has
[1:25:00] actually crumbled. Like like I would say sound the
[1:25:03] alarm bells cuz this is like, yeah, one of the biggest
[1:25:06] disintegrations of a team we've seen in the modern.
[1:25:08] After a trophy this season as well, yeah.
[1:25:11] And Millie Millie has come out that Inzaghi actually did agree
[1:25:16] a contract with Ali Al before the CL final.
[1:25:19] Now a lot of Inter fans are saying his brother's like Top
[1:25:22] Snake. Now he's replaced Lukaku with
[1:25:24] Top Snake. Is that facts or no?
[1:25:27] He's up there, but I wouldn't say no, I wouldn't say.
[1:25:29] I would say Lukaku is the bigger snake.
[1:25:31] Is Conte or Inzaghi bigger snake?
[1:25:35] Similar situation. It's it's tough, Konte.
[1:25:38] Konte snaked. Because like he, he couldn't
[1:25:42] handle the environment that Inter was in.
[1:25:45] He couldn't handle the idea that Inter had to sell a big player
[1:25:48] every summer in order to keep the books books afloat, in order
[1:25:52] to not go into those. Books might also be cooked.
[1:25:55] We, we were. That was already that was
[1:25:56] already debunked, but. I didn't.
[1:25:58] See it was debunked. I didn't see the debunked.
[1:26:00] He sent it to you guys after but it is debunked.
[1:26:03] But anyways, so we're going to get talk.
[1:26:07] Talk, talk. You'll stop her.
[1:26:08] It's not because I came on a podcast.
[1:26:10] You know, I heard it. I heard it, I heard it and you
[1:26:12] guys brought up the audio. 300 million cooked the books.
[1:26:14] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[1:26:16] When Juventus, when Juventus got first alligated, like the
[1:26:18] allegations that we cooked the books, I came on the podcast and
[1:26:21] said not bro, it's already been debunked.
[1:26:23] And then a couple a few months later we got deducted 15 points.
[1:26:26] So. No, it's.
[1:26:27] I see. You're not out of the water.
[1:26:28] OK, no problem. So the I think the courts
[1:26:31] already deemed that it was legal, but it was fine.
[1:26:32] Anyway, yeah, do not get a court.
[1:26:34] The the court did not not see that that did not happen that
[1:26:36] quickly. OK.
[1:26:37] So I do think Conte's still the bigger snake.
[1:26:41] I think Inzaghi after a certain after 3-4 years of practically
[1:26:46] no investment and then you bring the team to two CL finals as a
[1:26:52] if I was Inzaghi, I would say I warrant a transfer market.
[1:26:55] I would warrant some like actual expenditure.
[1:26:59] Yeah, properly. But I mean, after signing two
[1:27:02] players, I'd say Sutrich and Enrique.
[1:27:04] And then they go into the meeting and he says that I want
[1:27:06] to sign this, this and this. And if they said no, we can't do
[1:27:09] that. I I don't necessarily blame him
[1:27:11] for leaving. What I do think that doesn't
[1:27:13] help is that yes, you agree to it before the seal final and
[1:27:16] then you end up losing 5 nothing.
[1:27:18] That's really where it made it bad.
[1:27:20] But did you really think that this summer, like truly, did you
[1:27:23] think that you were going to go into the market?
[1:27:24] No. And actually back him to the
[1:27:26] point where you'd be you'd be trying to get Tonales.
[1:27:29] I, I think, I think he's not sutures.
[1:27:31] I I yeah, but I think, I think the.
[1:27:33] Standard key and suture. No, listen, good players, no
[1:27:36] like like they're they're young, they're better, whatever.
[1:27:38] But I don't think you would have went into the market and backed
[1:27:40] him like he wanted to be back. Yeah, but but backed, I don't
[1:27:43] know necessarily what he wanted as backed.
[1:27:45] If you wanted like $200 million to spend or whatever, I think
[1:27:49] that's egregious. But why you just made you just
[1:27:51] went to a seal final 2 seal finals you're.
[1:27:53] Playing in the club. World Cup I agree but but at the
[1:27:55] end of. The day 100 million.
[1:27:56] At the end of the day, enters not owned by itself, enters
[1:27:59] owned by an investment firm that is looking to work in the best
[1:28:03] interest of their investors and and their shareholders.
[1:28:06] So yes, if they're saying, yeah, we're not going to support you
[1:28:10] as much in the transfer market, but like we have our own things
[1:28:13] going on like. But now look at the investors.
[1:28:15] Those investors that were so frugal with their money, now
[1:28:17] they're holding their balls because they just.
[1:28:19] They're not. They'll hold their balls.
[1:28:20] Yeah, well, they just lost the best manager they've had at the
[1:28:21] last. I don't know.
[1:28:22] Sure, sure. But at the end of the day,
[1:28:25] things happen the way they happened.
[1:28:27] And I would give criticism to the management, Maratha and Co,
[1:28:30] because if you didn't like prep for this type of scenario or
[1:28:34] didn't have anyone really lined up like Kivu, at the end of the
[1:28:37] day, it was I think, second or third choice.
[1:28:39] Yeah. So like coming off of ACL final,
[1:28:43] you're a CL finalist regardless of the score, still ACL finest,
[1:28:46] an elite team in Europe, and you're telling me you can't get
[1:28:48] Fabregas from Como? Like it's a very bad look on the
[1:28:52] club. And I do think that the stature
[1:28:53] of Inter after this CL final has taken a major, major hit.
[1:28:57] I don't think teams in Europe are looking at us as scary, like
[1:29:00] as seriously as they did the last year or so.
[1:29:03] Yeah. So the.
[1:29:05] Not only Kivu, there's also what do you think about key players
[1:29:08] potentially leaving Like you were probably thinking, oh, now
[1:29:10] we're in the clear, you're not done selling your top players
[1:29:12] like child in Oglu to Galatasaray.
[1:29:14] Yeah, the child in Oglu would be a big loss in my opinion from.
[1:29:18] How does that happen? How?
[1:29:19] I mean, he's 31. We got him on a free if you're
[1:29:22] gonna look to sell him for 40 million.
[1:29:23] Just made a seal final like. I agree, but he didn't play well
[1:29:26] in that seal final. Sure, OK, sure.
[1:29:28] You made a seal final though. He's a crucial player, yeah.
[1:29:30] Like, like that. Because you're gonna have 40
[1:29:32] million to spend. You're gonna have 40 million to
[1:29:34] spend, OK. Yeah.
[1:29:35] And then who do you sign that? Who do you?
[1:29:36] Sign for 40 million or less. I agree, you're just creating
[1:29:38] more problems. Than you are, let's not act
[1:29:40] that, let's not act, let's not act like Chala Noglu in these
[1:29:44] situations as not always abandoned ship every club he's
[1:29:47] done this who never accusing Elan and now enter.
[1:29:49] But I don't necessarily. He's not doing abandoned ship,
[1:29:51] but who I don't. Abandoned ship it is.
[1:29:54] He's been here 3-4 years, has been an integral part to the
[1:29:57] club. If the club does deem that he's
[1:30:00] like, let's say they want to cash out on him, that's a club
[1:30:03] decision. I wouldn't say that's a Chala
[1:30:04] decision. And bro, Galatasaray is handing
[1:30:05] out crazy wages right now. I wouldn't be upset if you like
[1:30:08] so. That's crazy to.
[1:30:10] Say I wouldn't be upset, was. Brozovich abandoned ship.
[1:30:12] Brozovich should have stayed. Yeah, he was also around the
[1:30:15] same age, 31. He was great at intern.
[1:30:17] The only difference is that this is the first good team that
[1:30:19] Chala Chala was leaving. Yeah, my.
[1:30:22] Rage bait but a stupid year at this time it's what the fuck am
[1:30:27] I hearing around? Here you've got you got rage
[1:30:29] baited by something I wasn't even telling on being rage bait.
[1:30:32] Because that's how your mind works.
[1:30:33] How was AC Milan when he left? I mean, you want to.
[1:30:36] Yeah, I won the screen. It was.
[1:30:37] Totally unexpected too. That was a good one.
[1:30:39] Well. I didn't even expect that.
[1:30:41] I didn't think that was rage bait.
[1:30:42] AC Milan. And right before he left, yeah,
[1:30:43] yeah. How it was the state of AC
[1:30:44] Milan. Yeah, but never going from Inter
[1:30:46] to Galatasaray, that's a good deal.
[1:30:48] No, but I'm saying right, this is strange because he's leaving
[1:30:50] a very competent. He's not a jumping ship, or is
[1:30:52] he? I don't understand.
[1:30:53] Your point, the first jumping ship for me is like, is he?
[1:30:56] Is he didn't jump ship at Milan. Yes, he did.
[1:30:59] No, he. Just went to a better project,
[1:31:00] OK. Yeah, that's jumping.
[1:31:01] And then he lost. He lost to Scudeto the year
[1:31:03] after. But then he ended up winning two
[1:31:05] of them. Yeah.
[1:31:05] He made the year final though, huh?
[1:31:07] He made the SEAL 2 SEAL finals and two Scudetti.
[1:31:10] So as a matter of. Fact 1.
[1:31:11] Scudetti. Once through that tea, 2.
[1:31:13] Colpas 2. Or three colpas you.
[1:31:15] Missed the first one, yeah. Still, he he made a good choice
[1:31:18] in the end. OK, but like Chala leaves, yeah,
[1:31:20] this doesn't stop the cycle of selling.
[1:31:22] From what I saw, from what I saw from like the sources were good.
[1:31:27] I'm I'm not saying it because I just saw one tweet.
[1:31:29] Yeah. Whatever.
[1:31:30] No, no, no. It was like a media set or like
[1:31:32] Sky Sports or whatever it was. They said that Chala's not for
[1:31:35] sale. They said child is not for sale,
[1:31:38] but obviously. Wasn't for sale either.
[1:31:39] But clearly, I think he's pushing.
[1:31:41] Sure, Hakimi. Wasn't for sale either.
[1:31:43] No, those guys were for. Sale that, that's a whole
[1:31:45] different. Hakimi was not for sale.
[1:31:47] Hakimi was for sale. No, I, I don't think.
[1:31:49] I think anyways it doesn't even matter.
[1:31:51] It's a different state bro, because you guys were like
[1:31:53] financially so cooked when you had to sell Hakimi and that that
[1:31:56] it was almost like I have to sell them.
[1:31:57] Well, no, it was Hakimi was the sell I think.
[1:32:01] You you explained the last time. Yeah, like I think.
[1:32:03] The Kimi was the sell, Lukaku was the snake.
[1:32:04] Yeah, Luka Hakimi were like, OK, if we sell a Kimi but we keep
[1:32:07] Lukaku, but then we sold a Kimi and then Lukaku said he wants to
[1:32:09] leave. Yeah.
[1:32:10] Then we lost both. We should have kept one.
[1:32:11] But yeah, I don't know this. I don't necessarily have a great
[1:32:16] positive outlook on the season right now.
[1:32:18] Like, I'm going to just be very, very honest.
[1:32:19] They'll have the best team in Italy.
[1:32:21] Let's just sign. That up OK, sure.
[1:32:23] Let's say let's clear that out right now.
[1:32:25] No, not that I I OK, from a player perspective, yes, but I'm
[1:32:29] I'm until I see Kivu manage this club, I think Napoli are in a
[1:32:34] better position right now and I don't think that's a stretch.
[1:32:37] With the investments, you see the names that Napoli's linked
[1:32:39] to Bro KDB. Like that's a big signing.
[1:32:42] It's a good investment. The best signing CDI will have
[1:32:44] in this all summer. And the best, best thing of all
[1:32:46] for Napoli is that they kept Konte.
[1:32:47] Yeah, after all that pressure of him leaving and whatever, they
[1:32:50] end up keeping him like they they're a very stable ship right
[1:32:52] now. I'm not worried about monopoly.
[1:32:55] You wait, fine, you should be worried about fucking Genoa.
[1:32:58] I'm not worried about a long term monopoly project cause it's
[1:33:00] Conte and it's De Laurentiis. This is a recipe for maybe one
[1:33:04] more good season and then just dog shit.
[1:33:05] Sure. But I mean, if we're looking at
[1:33:07] a face value right now, they're the most stable club in Italy.
[1:33:10] For next season, they're scary, yes, but project wise, OK but.
[1:33:13] Projects in next season are two different things in my opinion.
[1:33:16] Conte, Conte with more. Anything can happen bro.
[1:33:19] In football you can't look more than one year 'cause after that
[1:33:22] you like bro? And last year, if we said Inter
[1:33:26] would lose Inzaggi fucking demolish their entire fucking
[1:33:30] club child Nugluta Galapaga demolish.
[1:33:32] The club, I don't know, I don't know what demolish.
[1:33:34] Well your your 300 mil now is fucking you might go to jail for
[1:33:38] it. Pepe Maratha.
[1:33:39] But but also also the oak tree, I don't think is necessarily, I
[1:33:45] don't know they're they're kind of flip flopping.
[1:33:46] They say they want to invest in the club, but then they end up
[1:33:49] paying like, what, $400 million of debt off?
[1:33:52] Basically just clean the books and getting it ready for a sale.
[1:33:56] That's what they did. So I don't know.
[1:33:58] I don't know what they're trying to play both sides.
[1:34:00] American owners. I don't like American owners,
[1:34:02] man. Yeah, I'm, I'm not a fan of
[1:34:03] them. Depends what American owners the
[1:34:06] issue. The issue.
[1:34:07] Which is successful. I actually don't Liverpool.
[1:34:10] OK, Fenway Sports. Atlanta you could see
[1:34:11] successful. Yes, como sorry Bologna if you
[1:34:16] want to count what Indonesian. But it's also unfair to think
[1:34:20] that that like you should get an owner that will just throw you
[1:34:24] money like. AI agree, I don't think that's
[1:34:26] realistic at this point in time, but it depends who Inter gets
[1:34:29] sold to so. I'd rather it.
[1:34:30] I don't know if I'd rather Italian owners.
[1:34:33] No, because they're broke. No, but you Italian owners.
[1:34:37] Yeah, I don't know. It depends.
[1:34:38] Like you might just have a hybrid and it's like some
[1:34:41] foreign investment, some not foreign investment.
[1:34:43] De Laurentiis is the one off, like is the the outlier for some
[1:34:46] reason. The club is still because he use
[1:34:48] he it was just very good management for a very long time.
[1:34:51] Yeah. So yeah, I don't know.
[1:34:53] My outlook isn't too great on Inter right now, which is a
[1:34:56] shame. We'll see in the Club World Cup.
[1:34:58] See Club World Cup will grade the grade him.
[1:35:00] Bro this is AC. That's even high.
[1:35:03] Even high, like I don't want to say F because I feel like I'm
[1:35:05] I'm really beating on the guy like I want to So obviously
[1:35:09] whoever's and. Also, he's coming in with like
[1:35:11] players know he wasn't even the first like top three.
[1:35:13] Top choice is a pure little appointment.
[1:35:15] No, not even. No, it might be better than pure
[1:35:18] little, actually. I know Parma Parma he did OK but
[1:35:20] rather 13 games. But at least he's managed all of
[1:35:22] your ranks. Yeah, like you.
[1:35:24] Had our our our our our youth team for like fucking months.
[1:35:28] Yeah, like I, I'm, I'm, I'm looking forward to maybe seeing
[1:35:30] more, more youth players play. But at the end of the day, a lot
[1:35:34] of our core players are a year older now.
[1:35:37] You they don't have, they have maybe like a maybe another three
[1:35:39] to five year window of playing top level football before like
[1:35:43] we have to kind of like restart. So yeah, it's tough.
[1:35:46] I don't know, very, very tough. Obviously Inter kind of goes a
[1:35:49] summer without doing anything. I'm stupid.
[1:35:51] Time football in general, time football.
[1:35:53] Tel Aviv. And we want to get to the final
[1:35:56] topic of the day. Pugba will sign with Monaco for
[1:35:59] two years probably, according to.
[1:36:01] Do you guys think that PUGBA still has what it takes to
[1:36:03] compete in European competitions?
[1:36:06] Pugba will dominate, he's going to be team of the season in
[1:36:08] league are easy. Like I'm saying easy.
[1:36:11] Monaco are cooking. I can't cap.
[1:36:14] I might actually. I'm not going to say obviously
[1:36:17] PSG are so fucking good. You can't even say like they're
[1:36:19] going to win the title with a straight face.
[1:36:21] But like I'm saying, Monaco's second place next year, easy,
[1:36:23] all that. I know the Marseille fans in the
[1:36:25] Discord and Patreon are going to probably lynch me for this, but
[1:36:29] I think Monaco are better than Marseille no personally.
[1:36:33] Why do you say that? Bro Pugba, I'm telling.
[1:36:36] You. What else?
[1:36:36] I knew, I knew. Pugba, pugba.
[1:36:39] And they're signing Ansufati also, which I mean bro those two
[1:36:44] players in the right environment I think will cook.
[1:36:48] I'm I'm way more confident in pug but cooking than Ansu Fati.
[1:36:51] Yeah, but they both have to play at the same time.
[1:36:53] Like, I don't know, it's gonna be one of those scenarios where
[1:36:55] it's like both players may be injured at different times.
[1:36:57] They'll never play with each other.
[1:36:59] Kind of thing. It's it's a risk free move by
[1:37:01] Monaco because it's only a two year contract.
[1:37:03] Yeah, and the wages aren't crazy.
[1:37:04] What are they? I don't know.
[1:37:06] Well, they're definitely. They're definitely not.
[1:37:07] Low. That's and I mean Pug in France,
[1:37:09] we know how good he is there. Yeah, so.
[1:37:11] Listen, I think Pug was an exceptional player, but this is
[1:37:13] a Neymar situation. But the body cannot keep up at
[1:37:15] that age. Yeah, I agree.
[1:37:16] But his body won't be able to keep up.
[1:37:18] Bro I don't know. Pug had to take steroids.
[1:37:20] I think that. I think that the whole steroid
[1:37:22] debacle was more because his body just couldn't keep up and
[1:37:25] well, public training probably. Training.
[1:37:27] I think these teams all do medicals at this point that are
[1:37:29] so advanced that he they would have known if his body's just
[1:37:32] disintegrated or not I. Don't think so.
[1:37:34] Juventus didn't know. Well, Barcelona would have
[1:37:37] signed Neymar if his body wasn't fucking disintegrated.
[1:37:39] They told him go to Santos. If you can stay healthy there,
[1:37:42] well then maybe we'll sign you. And then no.
[1:37:45] Yeah, body. Body is finished.
[1:37:47] Gonzo. But it also, I think Pugba does
[1:37:49] take his his his lifestyle more serious.
[1:37:53] I think so. Yeah, he does.
[1:37:54] Neymar's won everything. But every summer, it's so funny.
[1:37:56] Every summer, Dibala and Pugba, the whole summer, train
[1:37:59] offseason in Miami together. And that's like, I remember when
[1:38:03] he came back to UV, I was like, oh man, like he's back back, but
[1:38:06] both gone. I've seen it.
[1:38:06] First time Pug was cooked. Bodies, Bodies finished.
[1:38:09] He only had one year though at UVA.
[1:38:10] He only had one year where the body was finished towards the
[1:38:13] end of Man U. Also I think he plays like he
[1:38:15] plays a maximum 20 games in the in at Monaco next season. 20
[1:38:20] games total, all comps or no? No, 20 games in the Leaguer,
[1:38:24] it's not that bad. Like if you get 20 games, seven
[1:38:27] 1500 minutes, that thing it. Depends like if he starts the
[1:38:29] season I don't think I I it's weird like I feel like a pug but
[1:38:32] like now wouldn't necessarily start the season for Monaco
[1:38:36] maybe like later on. Bro he just he's Monaco star.
[1:38:39] Player I'm gonna watch Monaco yeah, I I will watch Monaco
[1:38:41] right. I love like to watch Pugba bro
[1:38:44] this, even the small stuff he does like the way that he moves
[1:38:47] the ball, the way that he rotates.
[1:38:48] Like bro, this guy was generational.
[1:38:51] I'm I'm interested to see where they're going to play him
[1:38:53] though, because towards the end that Man United, he was playing
[1:38:55] left wing and he was very good, played attacking midfielder.
[1:38:58] Going to play deep, yeah, He's going to play like a, like a.
[1:39:00] We'll see. He won't be at that bro.
[1:39:02] He's so tactically flexible. That's the thing that's so good
[1:39:04] about. It I know, but he's he's aging,
[1:39:07] so obviously he's going to be running less.
[1:39:09] Exactly, that's why you can't play him in midfield.
[1:39:11] CDM almost like a. Non contact register, Yeah.
[1:39:16] We'll see. Should have signed that enter to
[1:39:17] be honest. Enter whenever Chalunglu
[1:39:20] replacement. Why?
[1:39:23] Because then you're going to end, you're going to end up
[1:39:24] starting Fretesi for the whole season when he gets.
[1:39:27] Injured. Yeah, we need, we need better
[1:39:28] backups. Pugboat would be enters top five
[1:39:31] player. But that's the problem.
[1:39:33] I mean, he'd be a top five player, but wouldn't be playing
[1:39:36] top five minutes, wouldn't be playing top five games, wouldn't
[1:39:38] like. But you're getting that for
[1:39:39] free. I know OK, I I think I think
[1:39:43] having a star player that doesn't necessarily play as a
[1:39:45] lot of unnecessary attention that you don't necessarily need
[1:39:50] and enter in Italy get rid. You could, you could.
[1:39:52] What you could do? Look, this is what a smart club
[1:39:54] would do, OK, Yeah, they tell Cha Nonglu to Calitas for 40
[1:39:57] million. Yeah, get Pogba and sign like a
[1:40:01] young CDM, like a Javi Guerra to play behind Pogba.
[1:40:05] Maratovi. You see, This is why I need to
[1:40:08] be head of the FYGC. Yeah, Pavar as the
[1:40:11] revolutionary. Yeah.
[1:40:12] For Italian football, 352. Anyway, that was a good episode.
[1:40:16] Yeah, a lot of a lot of. Can someone put the timestamps?
[1:40:19] For the comments, I'm glad. I'm glad to be back.
[1:40:20] Glad to be back. That was a good yeah, that was
[1:40:22] gonna go back, but thank you everyone for listening or.
[1:40:25] Watching a bit of the delay too. Yeah, yeah, I was busy.
[1:40:28] We we, we brought the, we brought the equipment in New
[1:40:30] York. We wanted to record it in New
[1:40:31] York, but. I mean, the rooms weren't
[1:40:33] accommodating. The podcasts let's.
[1:40:36] Yeah. And the car that it would have
[1:40:38] been cool if we could have done in the car, but I don't think
[1:40:40] audio would have been. Camera wise, I don't know what
[1:40:41] we would have done. You hit a speed bump.
[1:40:46] The driver drifts into the into the falling asleep.
[1:40:49] Yeah. Anyway, thank you everyone for
[1:40:52] watching, listening, and we'll see you guys next week.
[1:40:54] Thank you.
