[0:00] Welcome back to the Boxer Box podcast.
[0:02] This is episode 33 and Amrim's first game in charge just
[0:05] happened. Crazy game.
[0:07] Pep losing 5 in row. When has that ever happened?
[0:10] Also Champions League this week we have Real Madrid versus
[0:12] Liverpool and Bayern versus PSG. All that and more on the Boxer
[0:16] Box podcast. Let's.
[0:18] Go. You ain't going home.
[0:19] Your Honor, I'm sorry. Your Honor, I'm sorry we don't
[0:25] compete with City. This is a failure of a season.
[0:28] I can already. Tell you, I'll tell you in
[0:30] advance, you failed. I'm going to take central
[0:33] midfielder Federico Valverde. What?
[0:37] Yeah, no that. He is the worst midfielder for
[0:40] Real Madrid this season. That's like, that's like saying
[0:43] Neymar was the worst player in MSN Boys audience.
[0:52] You can tell we have a different setup this week.
[0:54] What's what's happening here? Go ahead, Millie.
[0:59] I mean, we're in Italy right now.
[1:01] We're in Rome. We've been traveling.
[1:03] I know we went to London all together with the whole group.
[1:06] Yeah, a couple people saw it on LinkedIn, obviously, but boys,
[1:11] we came home with some silverware, that's where.
[1:14] They saw it LinkedIn really, right.
[1:15] That's where most of the people saw it.
[1:17] Yeah, you're right of. Course build.
[1:19] The real businessman saw it on LinkedIn.
[1:21] But this is kind of a celebratory podcast today
[1:24] because if you guys didn't see on Instagram or anywhere on
[1:28] Twitter, LinkedIn, LinkedIn, exactly like Millie said, we
[1:32] actually just won an award and after two years, almost two
[1:38] years, or did we hit two years or?
[1:40] I think, I think we. Yeah, two years.
[1:42] After two years of doing this, we, we finally got, I would say,
[1:48] I would say recognized, but like our, our efforts actually led to
[1:52] something you could hold. I mean, there's a YouTube plaque
[1:54] also in this room, but soon. To be there's about to be
[1:57] somewhere here, a football content award.
[1:59] I know it's not the battle on door, but it's it's our battle
[2:02] on door because there we can't like that's the best.
[2:06] Is it the best we can win now. Fabrizio Romano We're coming for
[2:08] the best. We're coming for best
[2:10] influencer. That's next year.
[2:12] And the the crazy part is that we could have went 2 for two, we
[2:15] could have done a double right there.
[2:16] We came first. Listen 10 seconds.
[2:18] We Loki got Vinny. We didn't come back.
[2:19] We didn't come home with two. Yeah, I don't want to say we
[2:21] Loki did get Vinny a bit, but whatever talking.
[2:24] We won't talk more about. No, I shot shot at all the
[2:26] creators. I mean, there was some good
[2:28] names out there, a lot of creators from London and
[2:31] honestly I think we were the only Canadian ones.
[2:33] Could that be? Well, well, no, I think there
[2:35] was Robona TV that was. Nominated Robona TV shot at
[2:37] Robona TV. That's but.
[2:39] That. Was there and 1 I feel like when
[2:41] we went on stage and Mellie gave such a great speech and he and
[2:44] he mentioned that we were we were four guys from Canada.
[2:47] I'm sure a lot of people, the crowds started hitting The Who
[2:50] are these guys? Why?
[2:51] Why they because it was just London creators, because one of
[2:55] the awards was best football club, like best content by a
[2:58] football club. Every single club nominated was
[3:01] British. Yeah, was British club.
[3:04] So like that just shows that. Cap, cap.
[3:08] There was Milan right there. I saw Milan on those
[3:10] nominations. Did you guys see Milan?
[3:11] I did not see Milan. I saw Milan, they were nominated
[3:15] but they weren't present. That's good.
[3:17] That's all right there. That's all right.
[3:20] There, that's all. But yeah, after two years of
[3:23] doing this, it's crazy to see the the community support us in
[3:29] this way. I just want to say because.
[3:30] Oh yeah, because it's their votes that got us there.
[3:32] We didn't even. Mention that thank you guys it's
[3:34] you guys are really like poured out the love and and support for
[3:39] these votes. So we just want to say thank you
[3:41] guys for the immense support Glaze and the glaze has no
[3:45] limits. But yeah, I honestly, I don't
[3:50] know about you guys right now, but like, like I'm so all into
[3:55] this that like this is my life and I, I wouldn't know what I'd
[3:57] be doing honestly, if it weren't for you guys also on this pod,
[4:00] so. Bro, this is one of my biggest
[4:03] achievements in life. I agree.
[4:04] The fact that all I could share with my four best, well, three
[4:08] best friends is nuts. And the fact that we did it in
[4:10] London, bro, that's, that's a goal.
[4:13] And, and we all showed up. I mean, the fact that all four
[4:16] of us were there, like just show those strength in numbers and it
[4:19] was it's pretty crazy to see where box to box started and
[4:22] where it's at now. So like, again, this is because
[4:25] of the continuous support, the views that we've been getting.
[4:29] This doesn't happen without you guys that are listening and
[4:32] watching us every single time we post.
[4:34] So like what the boys said back at home, we just want to say
[4:37] thank you for all the support we that you guys have given us
[4:40] last. Last thing on it, even even the
[4:43] Barsa fans that we, we, we, we caused, we caused some problems
[4:46] with them. Every fan base that we, we maybe
[4:49] we shit on sometimes, but like, at the end of the day, you guys,
[4:53] even the haters like it's a it's a big community.
[4:56] We're glad to we're glad to have that community in our comments.
[4:58] We're glad to have that community in our YouTube
[5:00] channel. It's just it's pretty wholesome.
[5:02] Like I feel, I feel, I feel warm and cozy inside knowing, knowing
[5:06] that, you know, we have such a good community of, of box
[5:08] munchers. I don't.
[5:11] Know a lot of a. Lot of people were putting some
[5:16] good arguments as to why we shouldn't use that name anymore.
[5:19] And really, yeah, we'll speak about it off camera, but I will,
[5:22] I will use, I will say that that term has been suspended until
[5:28] further notice. We'll just say someone, someone
[5:30] came up. With a good reason why we
[5:31] shouldn't be called up. Yeah.
[5:32] Yeah, you're kidding. Imagine my show.
[5:35] Rather, just use your imagination.
[5:36] You could come to no. No, that's not the reason.
[5:39] But whatever, we'll we'll speak about it off camera, but I'm
[5:42] interested already. But we can go directly into the
[5:46] football. I mean, actually, I have one
[5:47] more story I want to tell before we start because on my way here,
[5:52] do you guys, have you guys ever I on my way here, I specifically
[5:55] told myself. No, wait, wait.
[5:56] Sorry to interrupt. You have a question?
[5:58] Why are you yelling? Oh, I don't know because I have,
[6:01] I have Airpods, I have Earpods in, so I can't.
[6:03] Me too, but if I can hear you yelling through my air.
[6:08] But on my way here, basically I had one of those moments where
[6:13] you tell yourself, wow, you are fucking stupid.
[6:17] Like, I don't know if you guys ever have these moments where
[6:20] you tell yourself that you are just I, I don't know how someone
[6:24] could do something so stupid. And I just had one of these
[6:27] moments before showing up to this record.
[6:28] What did you do? What did you do?
[6:30] Yeah, it. Depends what you did.
[6:32] So last night as I got home I left my car on zero gas.
[6:37] OK, like 0 nothing. And I told myself, oh, whatever,
[6:42] before recording tomorrow, I'll just stop by a gas station and
[6:44] I'll, I'll refill. So there's a gas station not too
[6:48] far from my house. So I made it to the gas station
[6:50] and I'm like, do I put in 10 bucks and I just drive to
[6:54] recording and then I'll figure it out later.
[6:56] Nah, whatever. I'm I'm here at this point I
[6:59] might as well put in like full tank.
[7:01] So I I go pay full tank. I'm like, OK, we're good.
[7:05] I walk back to my car and I'm so like, I'm thinking about
[7:09] recording or what are we going to speak about recording?
[7:11] I just get in my car and I drive off.
[7:16] He forgot to gas up. That's really bad.
[7:18] He forgot to gas up. I.
[7:21] Didn't even put the gas that I paid for.
[7:24] Someone got a free tank? Oh my God, this was one of the
[7:27] stupidest moments. And I'm driving, OK, I'm driving
[7:31] and I'm on the highway and I'm like, you, you know how your car
[7:35] something like when you leave it, when you leave it going and
[7:38] you fill up, it doesn't automatically update.
[7:40] I'm like, why is this taking such a long while to update my
[7:44] range? Like I know I just put in gas.
[7:46] Brother, you looked at you. Brother, you looked at the gas
[7:49] gauge and saw that it was on zero and you're like, it's gonna
[7:52] update. It's lagging.
[7:53] You thought your gauge was lagging?
[7:54] But it does that sometimes. No, it doesn't.
[7:56] My gauge. It does when I leave.
[7:58] Let's say you leave the car running and you fill up your
[8:00] tank. Why do you leave?
[8:02] That's a. That's a fallacy.
[8:03] That's a fallacy by the won't. Be letting the car run while you
[8:06] fill it up. That's a fallacy.
[8:07] It is not a fallacy. That's false.
[8:09] That's false information misinformation.
[8:12] Until you blow up while gassing up your car.
[8:14] That's never gonna happen, Jinx. But basically as I'm driving on
[8:19] the highway, I'm like, but why is this not updating?
[8:22] Like the right now, the bars should be showing up on this
[8:25] gauge. It's not making sense.
[8:27] And then I'm like, I realize and I just yell, I'm fucking stupid.
[8:33] I yell actually in, I'm by myself in the car.
[8:36] I just yelled at. And I start freaking out and a
[8:39] cop's right next to me. So I can't pull out my phone to
[8:41] look for the nearest gas station because like, I couldn't go back
[8:44] to that gas station. I was going to be so late.
[8:46] No, I was near my house, but I was already on the highway.
[8:50] I can't go back to where I was late.
[8:52] I was going to be so late. And chances are someone already
[8:55] yanked my, my, my gas. But what what can I do in this
[9:00] situation? Can I like contest the charge on
[9:02] my credit card or something? Like can I do something I don't?
[9:05] Know what do you do? You, you went in, you go inside
[9:07] to pay. I went no because once again,
[9:10] this was they threw off my whole mojo because usually I just tap
[9:13] at the at the at the machine. I tried tapping, it said you
[9:16] need to go inside to pay. So you got messed up by the.
[9:19] The whole mojo was thrown off, you see.
[9:21] That's fair. But.
[9:23] So so that so you were late for recording and you had to pay.
[9:27] Twice for your guys? I paid twice, yes.
[9:31] What about? One tank for the price of two.
[9:35] But but I'm thinking. Can I not can I not contest that
[9:39] charge on on my credit card? But that's like eating.
[9:42] That's like eating. Going to order a meal, you leave
[9:45] and then you just come back the day after saying, yeah, I want
[9:48] my money back. If they made the food for you
[9:50] and they delivered it to you. Like you're, you know, because
[9:52] they didn't make the food, the gas is still in the gas.
[9:54] Like they can still sell that gas.
[9:56] Yeah, but it's been pumped to someone, I'm assuming.
[9:58] No, that's that's like Uber eat food at your house, forgetting
[10:03] that it comes and then. I mean the big.
[10:07] Passes and. It's not even analogy because I
[10:09] didn't transport the gas. You don't need to.
[10:11] The gas is no matter. No, but but the service is
[10:14] delivered, but you don't use the service.
[10:18] But but did did you see on your credit card if there was a
[10:21] cancellation, maybe the the I? Don't know because usually no
[10:24] because usually when you fill up let's say $50.00 of gas and you
[10:27] only use 40 they refund your 10. So I'm thinking potentially I
[10:30] might get refunded the 50. But honestly, that's like if I
[10:35] order, like if I if I can buy something from a store and I
[10:38] like leave it outside by mistake, like someone's stealing
[10:40] it. But gas I've never gone to the
[10:42] meter and looked at. That exactly someone might go in
[10:45] and pay without even realizing. The meter, they'll retop up the
[10:48] same meter and then cancel out yours.
[10:49] It's a possibility because every time you go to a meter, when
[10:52] you're filling them gas, it says the number that the last person
[10:56] paid. It doesn't.
[10:56] You never think, oh, that's how much is left.
[10:58] It's it's going to say click the cash that you want, but I'm
[11:01] assuming this person might also go in and just pay and not
[11:05] realize especially. Because you have to go inside
[11:06] because you can't. Well, you might be.
[11:07] You might be getting your money back.
[11:09] You might be. Getting I'll keep you guys
[11:10] updated on the money back situation, but that was pretty
[11:13] brain dead. Yeah, it was bad.
[11:14] One of the honestly one of the stupidest moments of my life
[11:18] that I just thought, wow, I am a stupid individual.
[11:20] I think I'm going to do a transition here.
[11:22] I think Varvar, it's because you were thinking about Amrim's
[11:25] shitty first performance as manager of Manchester United.
[11:29] I I wouldn't say shitty. I think there's building blocks
[11:32] there to be honest. I, I saw the game and I saw
[11:35] clear idea of how to play. There was a clear formation it
[11:40] wasn't for. People for people, I mean, if
[11:44] you haven't watched probably on their rock, but Manchester
[11:47] United won one versus Ipswich. What we're asking here is
[11:50] Amrim's first impressions. What do we think about it?
[11:53] That's that's the question I had.
[11:55] For me, it was positive, I think.
[11:56] I think if you're looking at it from a purely result point of
[12:00] view, Ipswich 11 is not the optimal result.
[12:03] But we started off hot and that was the main under 10 hog.
[12:07] We don't, we never really started off well, like the
[12:10] Switch was always off at the beginning of the games.
[12:14] But some of those players, man, like Johnny Evans, Casamiro
[12:17] Ericsson, what are they doing on the pitch?
[12:19] Still? It's 2024.
[12:21] And the main word that that Ameren wants to use while while
[12:25] built making this Man United team is intensity.
[12:27] That's the word that he always uses.
[12:29] Intensity, intensity, intensity. How are you meant to be intense
[12:32] with players like Johnny Evans, Ericsson playing Even look,
[12:34] everyone's raving about Ahmad Diallo's performance outside of
[12:37] that assist. I don't think he played that
[12:39] well personally. So what?
[12:41] I would like to disagree. I think you saw a lot of
[12:45] positives even with Rashford, someone who we haven't seen
[12:48] produce a goal and I don't know how many months, and we saw a
[12:51] goal finally and the link up with Ahmad, I thought that play
[12:54] was insane. I don't know about you.
[12:56] I honestly thought that United played decently well.
[12:59] It was in the details, it wasn't sharp.
[13:03] Ipswich scoring was just a culmination of a lot of errors
[13:07] that happened through the throughout the game.
[13:09] But overall, like you could kind of just leave off you, you can
[13:16] leave being positive. OK, let Amarim cook.
[13:18] I agree. I don't know what all three of
[13:21] you guys are talking about. That was that was not the
[13:23] consensus that I got from this game.
[13:25] This was this was I don't know. I'm not going to say anything
[13:27] about Amarim's the future of Amarim with the system because
[13:30] it's the first game like the brother had one week to train
[13:32] with these players, not even didn't even.
[13:33] Have a week. Most of the players like like
[13:35] Ugarte did not start because he had two days after a 14 hour
[13:39] flight to train. He had one day of training I
[13:41] think with him and and all the players who are international.
[13:44] So you would say our best players barely had any, Yeah.
[13:46] So that's why I'm not going to say anything about the greater
[13:49] the greater question of is Amarim good or not for
[13:51] Manchester United? But that game, not there was
[13:53] literally nothing inspiring. Just because the bar was low
[13:56] with 10 hog it doesn't mean much.
[13:58] I. Mean I I would tend to disagree.
[14:00] Like I said before, it's a there was a player problem at
[14:02] Manchester United and whatever that may get fixed eventually
[14:04] with Amarim until he gets his transfers.
[14:07] But Ipswich deserved that goal. They were, they were pressure
[14:11] pressured for half the match. That goal was completely
[14:13] deserved and it should have came.
[14:14] It could have Onana stood on his head today.
[14:16] There could have been three more goals, two more goals.
[14:18] As per. I'm gonna keep it a buck.
[14:21] Without Onana you might actually lose like 4-1.
[14:23] Yes, it would have been 3-4. One that's yeah, but that's not
[14:26] to say that it wasn't, it wasn't a bad.
[14:29] Performance. Brother, what did they mean?
[14:31] Reason they created them like the fact.
[14:34] What the? First Mini.
[14:37] There was, there was the Amaram, there was the, there was the
[14:39] first chance of that from the first second-half start also.
[14:43] Low quality chance, Brian, what's UVI know what a game
[14:45] without chances looks like that that that was a game without
[14:48] chances for. Manchester United.
[14:51] They looked, they looked inspiring.
[14:52] Defensively they looked good. I mean, Johnny Evans is not
[14:55] really a A squad player I would look for in the next years, but
[15:00] honestly as a whole I think it's promising.
[15:03] You you can clearly see the holes that Amaram needs to fill
[15:06] like in Ericsson and Casamiro Johnny and like you get a full
[15:09] strength squad. I would like to see what Ameren
[15:11] does with that because but but but also take it with a grain of
[15:16] salt. Like this is Ipswich at the end
[15:19] of the day. Like I understand it's Ameren's
[15:21] first game. There's a lot of context behind
[15:23] it, but you there shouldn't necessarily be a worry of
[15:29] Manchester United going into a game with Ipswich and you're
[15:32] kind of hoping for results. Even with Eric Tenhog.
[15:36] I would come into this game thinking Man United need to
[15:38] absolutely win this game, no questions asked.
[15:40] But mind you, Ipswich has been honestly pretty decent this
[15:45] season. They've been a very pesky like
[15:47] pesky side for a lot of top teams in the Premier League.
[15:50] So I don't know, it's yeah, I do think that Amrim should have
[15:54] done like not it's not necessarily his fault.
[15:56] But I don't think it's his fault that all his fault.
[15:58] I think it's. The players.
[16:00] The players were not Shark. My thing is that the second-half
[16:04] he made those substitutions which included Luke Shaw coming
[16:07] onto the pitch, Ugarte coming onto the pitch and then as soon
[16:10] as those substitutions happened, our possession went from it was
[16:14] a 5050 possession game, we instantly shot up to 75%
[16:17] possession. So when when you have players
[16:21] that low key fit your system, where it's not a Castamiro who's
[16:24] pressing you or a Johnny Evans, it's a Luke Shaw and a Ugarte,
[16:27] he's able to regain that ball a lot quicker.
[16:30] True, but that's versus Ipswich that are not bringing on
[16:33] Ugartes. So versus teams like, listen,
[16:35] the first big test for Amrim in my opinion is this, I think it's
[16:39] December 1st, Arsenal versus Man U, He has Bodo glint midweek.
[16:42] He's going to have all these players for at least you're
[16:44] playing, you're also playing Everton, OK?
[16:46] So you have two matches in between and you have a solid 2-3
[16:48] weeks of solid training with these players.
[16:51] That's gonna be the first Test 'cause you can, you can you can
[16:53] implicate tactics for in 2-3. Weeks if I'm I'm room, I'm not
[16:55] even training individually for the photo glimp game like I'm
[16:59] not doing any photo glimp tactics.
[17:01] Yeah, that's just gonna be a figure out who you like to.
[17:04] Use. Yeah, exactly.
[17:05] I implement your concepts and then you just hope that you
[17:08] don't drop points because you're not wasting your time on a
[17:11] bottle glimpse you. Might start missing out that
[17:12] game. I I think missing Mount's gonna
[17:14] see Ramon Tada, to be honest. I agree, I agree, and it it just
[17:18] makes sense for the system. But but Varva, do you think that
[17:21] the Casamiro starting is that like a a A for sure?
[17:25] No, no, no, no. That's Ugarte.
[17:27] That's Ugarte's position for sure.
[17:29] I when Ugarte came on, when Ugarte came on, I actually liked
[17:32] what I saw from him. His his, he had a couple bad
[17:37] moments, I mean, but a lot of bad passes.
[17:40] To be honest. There was 2 bad passes, but I'm
[17:42] not going to use 30 plus minutes of a player's performance to
[17:46] judge on just two. Passes no, I I agree.
[17:49] But then you look at also the chances he could have created
[17:52] and I feel like if you put another more creative player
[17:55] there, obviously not Casimiro but someone more creative, he
[17:58] would have made that pass. And there was a couple of
[18:00] chances where Garte just felt to do the safer option and maybe
[18:04] just pass it sideways. But that's not Ugarte's game.
[18:07] I mean, if you have, I kind of liked what he did when he
[18:11] brought Bruno deeper. I feel like we actually played a
[18:13] lot better when Bruno played in center mid.
[18:16] But if you have a player like Kobe menu there, I feel like
[18:19] that burden is not as heavy on on Ugarte and it's going to be
[18:24] menu distributing those passes. The issue with Amarin sides are
[18:28] the top dribbling sides in Europe, so all the players need
[18:33] to be able to dribble and that's why a player like like look, I
[18:36] might create a goal today. That's why he was able to create
[18:38] the goal. He beat two players.
[18:40] In my opinion, Personally, I think Bruno played very well.
[18:44] He's not that well of a dribbler, but players like
[18:46] Ugarte and Menu, you're going to be able to play more of that
[18:49] Ameren style. It's just Erickson, Casimiro and
[18:51] Johnny Evans. Johnny Evans was getting turned
[18:54] by Omari Hutchinson every two seconds.
[18:56] Like you can't have Johnny Evans playing in an outside center
[19:00] back role. You just can't.
[19:01] It's just not a way forward. If that's Lisandro or Luke Shaw
[19:05] or I don't know, I I think we should even go out and buy
[19:08] potentially a left center back to summer.
[19:10] But if not, Luke Shaw and Lisandro are good fits in my
[19:12] personal opinion. About 3 center backs.
[19:14] That's that's going to be well, look, now we're playing three
[19:17] center backs at the back. I mean, you're going to need
[19:18] like 6 center backs minimum at the club now.
[19:20] So Maserati look good. Maserati looks very good.
[19:25] A few last like on Ipswich side, I don't want to say too much
[19:28] about it, but one like you said, Omari Hutchinson, man of the
[19:30] match brother played very, very well.
[19:33] The lap The lap was pretty sick and.
[19:36] Missed a couple of chances though.
[19:38] Yeah, but like his, I don't know, I think these guys like
[19:41] somebody, somebody was telling me like these guys are just
[19:43] going to be mid table Prem Ballers.
[19:45] But Ipswich look good. I don't know if it's because
[19:47] Manchester United made them look good or if they're actually just
[19:50] legit, but it was a, it was a it was a fun game to watch.
[19:54] Honestly, it was a pretty good game and I think Ahmad was the
[19:56] real stand out on your side. I'll disagree.
[19:59] On my PL. squad by the way. On your FL squad.
[20:02] Have to throw it in. And Garnacho was one person.
[20:04] I bro I did not like Garnacho today.
[20:07] I don't think he played bad, I don't think he was, I don't
[20:09] think he was the worst player for United.
[20:10] I don't think he was the best player.
[20:11] I think it was just bro, he had he had what, one day or two days
[20:14] in training Like let's let's just give these.
[20:16] No, just as a player like these were just player problems in my
[20:19] opinion, like like he would on he's he shouldn't be your player
[20:22] on the counter like every time he would a lot of times he would
[20:25] get the ball at the half line, start beaming up the pitch.
[20:28] He just doesn't know what to do once he gets to A to the
[20:31] defensive line. He looked very confused at that
[20:33] point and still. Better than yield.
[20:35] These and not even close and counter attacking ball.
[20:38] Counter attacking ball is definitely Amber's.
[20:41] You can clearly see that he loves counterattacking.
[20:43] It's just Sporting had the players for counter attacking
[20:46] ball. United don't.
[20:47] There was a, there was a couple of moments where like there was
[20:50] a cross field pass and I saw a couple from Casimiro, especially
[20:54] to Garnacho and he was beaming down that left wing.
[20:57] But I, I find the only thing that he was struggling with is
[21:00] the link up. Like I feel like a Mason mount
[21:03] would link up way better than a Garnacho would.
[21:05] So I don't I really don't see how he's going to fit.
[21:07] But obviously he's a good player.
[21:09] I mean, he had that chance where he kind of missed it like it
[21:12] went side to the net. But listen, Ahmad was a standout
[21:16] in my opinion. He killed.
[21:17] Amaram even mentioned. Amaram was raving about Ahmad.
[21:20] He was good, especially today. Amaram even mentioned post game
[21:23] and this was one of the quotes that stuck with me is that he he
[21:26] was so frustrated watching the game because he was like
[21:29] Diogodala doesn't really know where he needs to be because
[21:32] under 10 hog he was always asked to play wingback but then move
[21:36] into the middle and play within the midfield.
[21:38] He hasn't played a real wingback role in a couple years and even
[21:42] in Porto he never grew up as a wingback, he always grew up.
[21:45] And he was also on. He was just on the left side,
[21:47] no? Yeah, today he was on the left
[21:49] side. But even even when you grew up
[21:51] at Porto, Diogodalo was a center back his entire life.
[21:54] A lot of people don't know that. That's crazy.
[21:55] Yeah, he was bought. He was bought as a he was youth
[21:59] player as a center back and then moved to Porto like a senior
[22:03] squad as a right back, but never really was an attacking player
[22:07] up until like recently. So, well, I don't know.
[22:11] I'm I'm might not cook with Doodalo, but we'll see.
[22:14] Yeah, you had a decent chance at one point.
[22:16] Yeah, when he came up foot. Yeah, but.
[22:18] Yeah, but it was it was a little weak that shot, but positive
[22:22] signs honestly, all, all around. I do think you you are missing
[22:26] those couple pieces. But for our first game, I think
[22:30] you bring a lot back to the drawing board and then Ameren
[22:33] just has to take care of the details.
[22:34] And and look, he's. Going to have more time with the
[22:36] squad. So I, I, I think as a base, not
[22:40] terrible, not great, but definitely room for improvement.
[22:43] You could see that improvement. And, and it kind of tempers, I
[22:46] mean, it doesn't temper my expectation, but it tempers the
[22:49] the, let's say casuals expectations.
[22:52] Who, if you were looking at Amarim to come in and be the
[22:55] next Pep Guardiola, let's say, like right off the bat and go 30
[23:00] games undefeated like Ole did when he started, Like, I don't
[23:03] think that's how it's going to go so.
[23:06] I don't know if Arbor the way you were talking when.
[23:08] Yeah, but that's that's gonna be the end project, bro.
[23:10] Give me a couple years bro and then I'll be there.
[23:12] God damn, couple years. What was that conversation we
[23:15] were having last week? A manager doesn't literally a
[23:17] manager doesn't need time. Anyway, I digress.
[23:20] Let's move to the I think we should move to the other side of
[23:23] Manchester, where things were looking a little bit grim. 40
[23:25] versus 40 to Spurs. Varva and I were actually on a
[23:29] plane at We were on the plane. Yeah, we were watching we.
[23:31] Were on the plane, we were on a plane at that time going back to
[23:33] Montreal and Varva kept like tapping my shoulder and like,
[23:37] bro, it's 20, bro it's 30 and I'm just like, what's happening?
[23:41] I, I so I got anyway UVA Milan was also playing.
[23:44] I got so frustrated I bought Wi-Fi on the plane so I had to
[23:45] watch it. But you do it.
[23:48] Milan, I felt. Money to watch that game.
[23:50] Yeah, yeah. That's.
[23:51] Crazy. Remember at the beginning when
[23:54] we were talking about stupid decisions like Volvo gassing up
[23:57] and not actually gassing up? You buying UV Milan on an 8 hour
[24:01] flight is probably the stupidest thing I've ever that goes.
[24:04] Slower probably it actually you you were better off raw dogging
[24:07] the flight and just. Bro, you didn't see my hand
[24:10] gestures, but people must have thought that they like people
[24:13] didn't. I was, I was watching my phone
[24:15] and like things the the play would break up and I was just
[24:17] like, like I would just start going like this.
[24:19] I'm sorry, I have to speak about this flight.
[24:21] I have to speak about this flight because Paula probably
[24:24] felt the same way. Did you not smell the piss?
[24:29] No, but there was a guy throwing up in in the role in my room.
[24:31] I was sitting next to a family OK of three and I'm on the end
[24:36] in the middle in the middle Rd. Like this?
[24:39] Bro. I was in front of you.
[24:40] Kid, their kid took a piss. It smelt like piss.
[24:44] It's possible. And then and then also on top of
[24:47] that, they didn't clean it. So I'm just sitting there.
[24:49] I'm like, I'm looking at the mother once in a while.
[24:52] I'm like, you can do something about this bro.
[24:54] You go do something with. You go do something about.
[24:56] This smell a little bit funny. Yes bro, because that was.
[24:59] You file a complaint for her. But Millie, there was there was
[25:03] the piss, the piss, the piss behind me there was a kid crying
[25:07] his eyes out half the thing. And then a guy in my row was
[25:10] throwing up half the time. So it.
[25:12] Was and you were watching and I was watching.
[25:14] You made me. Live which he made him throw up
[25:15] probably too so so that. Was it was an interesting 8
[25:18] hours, but I got some work done so it's all right.
[25:20] I mean a thumbnail. That that did not sound like a a
[25:25] very fun flight. Low key, I think you have
[25:27] grounds for for reimbursement at least A at least a partial
[25:31] reimbursement. Like a sandwich or something
[25:33] Like a meal voucher honestly. But yeah, watching the Spurs 4
[25:40] nil against Man City, I feel like this season is really the
[25:43] day on Kulusevski coming out party because brother, he has
[25:47] been ridiculous this season and this match specifically, it was
[25:52] like he was by far the best player on the pitch.
[25:55] It was like I was watching, I don't even know a prime version
[25:58] of. I can't even, I can't even find
[26:01] a player to compare him to. To Atlanta.
[26:03] Probably like a Di Maria to be honest, if I was really to
[26:06] compare him to a player. He he was just fantastic versus
[26:11] Manchester City. I don't know why he stood out so
[26:14] much. The way that Man City must have
[26:16] set up just allowed him to have space.
[26:19] And even like in those one on ones that were like the balls of
[26:22] 5050, he's getting, he was winning the duel and he's
[26:25] winning them. And I'm just like, this guy is
[26:27] just marauding down the field. It was pretty insane.
[26:30] But let's not like, let's not cap Man City defensively.
[26:33] Or ass. Or like Vardiol, like Gvardiol,
[26:36] like past no man or whatever. Oh my goodness.
[26:39] I mean, I mean, it, it was moments of individual brilliance
[26:43] that kind of they scored on them like like Kulusefski megging and
[26:48] then passing the ball. Like that's not a Man City
[26:51] defense issue, I would say. And then also, what was the
[26:54] other one? Madden Kulusefski's pass to
[26:56] Madison was absolutely ridiculous.
[26:59] One of the nicest passes I've seen this season so far.
[27:02] Like like, look, Man City obviously did not play well.
[27:05] I'm not saying that, but I I think this was Spurs that played
[27:11] very well also. Which is, I think you could look
[27:15] at it the other way too. You could definitely look at it
[27:18] the other way with Manchester City, like had a stinker of a
[27:22] match. This was the the most it almost
[27:26] like they were 1/2 step behind everything.
[27:28] They were just slow with everything.
[27:30] Kyle Walker, I am sorry. I'm just going to point it out.
[27:33] This brother, yeah, he had a disaster.
[27:35] This brother was like. Directly involved in two.
[27:38] Goals in at least two goals against him.
[27:40] You could even argue three goals were his fault, which is pretty
[27:44] insane. You see the obvious physical
[27:47] decline of Kyle Walker, like, like if there was one game to
[27:50] pinpoint it. And this year specifically, like
[27:54] Werner made him look like he was walking in quicksand.
[27:57] And for Kyle Walker, that's that's insanity.
[28:01] Kyle Walker supposed to be like the fastest player in the
[28:03] Premier League and Timo Werner made him look like Johnny Evans,
[28:06] like it was actually insane. Steroids.
[28:08] I guess he stopped taking the steroids.
[28:11] You you know, you know when they say like leave the game before
[28:14] the game leaves you like this is this is that moment.
[28:18] Like listen, the game is starting to start to get a foot,
[28:23] foot or two in front of you. Bring him to you.
[28:25] I'm not saying Kyle Walker. Listen, I'm not bringing Kyle
[28:27] Walker. He's not a bad player.
[28:30] He's really not. A bad player right now, he's
[28:32] very. Bad just just right now in
[28:35] Manchester City system that relied very heavily on his
[28:38] athleticism. He just does not have it
[28:41] anymore. Unfortunately.
[28:42] I, I know it's a little reactionary, but like it's very,
[28:46] very clear that in Manchester City right now is just not
[28:49] clicking and he's one of the. Reasons and what and what's
[28:51] going on with Holland because brother, this this guy, I think
[28:54] yeah, I think you sent me the stat 8 XG only has two goals.
[28:58] That's my FBL play right there. That's the first time since you
[29:00] joined City where you can actually say Holland's in a
[29:02] drought. That's my first pick.
[29:04] We we were talking about firms and I were talking about it were
[29:06] like, look, is this like a Holland?
[29:09] What do What were you talking about?
[29:10] I was like a Holland overrated like no something.
[29:13] Like. Something crazy?
[29:14] Oh please no, I really had the conversation.
[29:16] I need this jinx for my FPLI. Need it badly.
[29:19] Crazy. I'm no don't give him the jinx.
[29:21] I'm not gonna talk about it, but like this is very like there's
[29:25] something wrong happening. All this.
[29:28] Very very difficult to pinpoint. Why?
[29:30] All this negative talk. Manchester City are repressing
[29:34] the panic button. Is it?
[29:36] Is it officially here? I would I would say so.
[29:42] Yes, I think, I think it is definitely time when you are
[29:45] supposed to be the best team in the world and you drop five in a
[29:49] row. The the the button is in the
[29:52] room. I've been saying this for a
[29:54] couple years now. While I haven't been saying it,
[29:56] but I've been thinking it that. The Thinker.
[30:00] But no, but but it Manchester City squad building in the last
[30:03] couple of years they've hit on obvious ones where they hit,
[30:06] they hit some blockbusters like like Holland and the Guardiole.
[30:11] But their squad building over the years really hasn't been
[30:13] good. Like a lot of their squad now is
[30:15] above the age of 30 and on running down contracts.
[30:18] My thinking is that do you think because of those 115 charges or
[30:23] whatever, how many charges is it 115, something like that,
[30:26] whatever. 115. 115 I think players just aren't thinking
[30:32] about joining match City or the players that Man City would
[30:34] actually target like aren't thinking about joining match
[30:37] city because they could go join like a Real Madrid or a
[30:39] Barcelona or something like that.
[30:40] So. But who isn't joining?
[30:43] Jude Bellingham, Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, like
[30:45] those are players that you would probably say a couple years ago
[30:47] end up in Manchester City without a shadow of a doubt.
[30:50] I'm not, I don't know. I'm not sure if it's that.
[30:53] I mean, there's other factors as to why you wouldn't join
[30:54] Manchester City. But I think, I think if you
[30:57] were, if you were a player agent and this player is about to sign
[31:00] a five year contract or six year contract and you hear 115
[31:04] charges, they might get relegated.
[31:06] You are not going to sign that. You're going to tell that.
[31:08] Just go to Real Madrid at that point.
[31:09] Or you or you sign a contract with the with the I'm pretty
[31:12] sure a lot of contracts have these type of things.
[31:14] And then like if the team gets relegated, no, like I would just
[31:17] beat that into my contract. If you get relegated, then I get
[31:20] my contract. And yeah, but then Manchester
[31:21] City are going to ask you to pick a lower wage because then
[31:24] it's more risk for them. Yeah, we're not going to pay 100
[31:28] million for someone they get one year for and then it's they
[31:30] break the. Contract.
[31:31] I'm not coming to your team. But but you don't see Pep
[31:34] Guardiola signing an extension as reassurance for these players
[31:38] or reassurance for future players saying, OK, well, the
[31:41] best in the world is still there even if something happens.
[31:44] But until that verdict comes down, you can never be fully
[31:46] sure that Manchester City aren't.
[31:47] Going to when is that verdict it's.
[31:48] Supposed to come mid year, so a couple months that's.
[31:51] Going to be a nice Christmas gift.
[31:52] That's going to be an emergency podcast situation potentially.
[31:55] Definitely. But yeah, I don't know Match
[31:59] City, it's for me. This doesn't feel like the other
[32:02] years where you always set, oh, Match City are going to come
[32:04] back. Like I we were talking a bit off
[32:06] camera that me and Paula that he still thinks Match City are
[32:09] going to come back. I don't think so, but.
[32:12] It's like Real Madrid situation. Are Real Madrid going to come
[32:14] back? Yes.
[32:17] I think they're going to come back.
[32:18] Would you, would you guys press the panic button on Chelsea or
[32:21] Arsenal? Well, Chelsea is different.
[32:23] Chelsea are rolling right now. Why would I press the panic
[32:25] button and Arsenal squad makeup is all 23 year old players where
[32:29] even if let's say they have a bad season this year it's still
[32:32] you can still like build with what they have.
[32:35] Or let's say Arteta somehow finds his way out of the job.
[32:39] You get a new manager you have. Buildings in the room with us.
[32:41] Let's just let's just say that, OK?
[32:43] Not this week, this week, this week.
[32:44] Leave me alone bro. This week, we're all good
[32:46] talking. About you.
[32:47] But that's why the the reason why I bring it up is because
[32:50] they're still second in the Premier League.
[32:52] They're tied, I believe, with Chelsea and Arsenal.
[32:54] Different standards. For they are bro.
[32:56] They just won five games in the Champions League, yes, but
[32:59] they're still second somehow. So either you're pressing the
[33:02] Punic button on all of them, or you're.
[33:04] I have a question. It might sound crazy but let's
[33:07] say let's say Man City finish outside of CL and terrible CL.
[33:12] Let's say is is Pep's job somewhat like heating up or not?
[33:19] Oh, for sure. You think for sure?
[33:21] No, what the heck? I would I.
[33:23] Don't. Know.
[33:24] I don't know. I don't think so.
[33:25] I think, I think Pep is. Even if Pep finished, let's say
[33:28] 10th, I still think they wouldn't get sacked.
[33:29] He wouldn't get sacked. He's done.
[33:32] He's done too much to just like short term short term results to
[33:38] dictate where he's going to be well.
[33:40] Short term results. If you get outside of the top
[33:42] four or even 10th, that's a long term result.
[33:45] But then you think about it, OK, you fire Pep Guardiola.
[33:49] Does he go to another top club? Where you risk facing in the
[33:53] Champions League, let's say, well, actually if you get
[33:56] relegated, then you're not touching the Champions League.
[33:58] You think about it, but. In my eyes, if you fill a Man
[34:01] City, you are might. You are likely to fail elsewhere
[34:05] because Man City gives you all the tools, all the players that
[34:07] you need, the money you need. But he's been doing it for what,
[34:11] nearly 10 years? He's been good, but.
[34:13] Nearly I saw I saw a chart recently of from 2020 till now
[34:19] the progression of his XG4 and his XG against and it's XG4 has
[34:24] been continuously going down and it's XG against has.
[34:29] It's actually the first time in in Pep's tenure I believe that
[34:35] like on A5 game average Is XG against this higher than his
[34:38] XG4? I would argue that Lee's getting
[34:40] better. I think that's a factor.
[34:43] He's always this is the most competitive league he's ever
[34:45] played in. Oh, for sure, that's.
[34:47] Better than any La Liga 1, better than any Prem one he's
[34:49] playing. I do.
[34:50] I do think it's the league getting better, but also Man
[34:53] City's team, bro, you could go back to the Centurion team and
[34:58] even even players like Gunigan, the Centurion, he was, he was,
[35:02] he wasn't considered a crucial player.
[35:04] Now he's considered a crucial player.
[35:05] He's worse than he was when it was a Centurion.
[35:07] Good thing again I watch now I'm like bro, there's no way this is
[35:09] the brother who left two years ago.
[35:11] I know, but it's also it's easy to talk like this when they're
[35:14] in a stretch of bad form. That's Centurion season Bernal
[35:17] Silva. But you're looking at it as
[35:19] form. For me, Glennigan is just not
[35:21] the player used to be. Walker is not the player used to
[35:24] be. There's injuries.
[35:25] But it's not injuries. Walker is considered and
[35:28] Gundigan when Gundigan. Gundigan started the season
[35:31] starting in 11 and Kovacic is not Rodri.
[35:34] Look Rodri, we can all point to Rodri's injury.
[35:37] Yes, it's an easy out, but. KDB was out.
[35:39] Listen, in an in an ideal world for Pep Guardiola, he's starting
[35:43] Rodri. I think he's starting Rico Lewis
[35:45] at right back, not Kyle Walker. And you have KDB, Bernardo
[35:48] Silva, Foden all moving on. You know, like that's the team.
[35:52] It's not Gundagan. Gundagan is Kungan is what
[35:55] happens when when Kovacic and Raji both get injured.
[35:59] I don't know firms, I don't have something to say.
[36:02] No, I was just going to say the exact same thing.
[36:04] I don't see gundagain a crucial part at all like.
[36:07] To me, he's played every single. Bench option, Well, yes, because
[36:11] Raj has been out, so he has he was supposed to replace him and
[36:15] then obviously now Kovacic is out, you have KDB out who just
[36:18] came back. Fortunately for them, he's just
[36:21] a player who's there to sub in when these guys get injured.
[36:23] But obviously he's like 3738. He's not.
[36:26] Crucial, but when Rodri was healthy, I'm pretty sure when to
[36:31] get started, no? Yes.
[36:33] I think bro he knows he's 37 it. Was Kovacic that was the bench
[36:36] option it. Yes, but then at that point KDB
[36:39] was. Hurt and and Kovacic, we still
[36:41] think about him as as the as the COVID Kovacic that was playing
[36:45] for Chelsea and won the he's not as good as he used to be.
[36:48] I know, but bro, you're acting you're you're pointing at all
[36:50] the the the only negatives. You're acting like this is
[36:52] always gonna be a perfect. But look.
[36:53] Look. Back at Manchester City's
[36:55] Elevens through the years and they were perfect Elevens.
[36:58] Now there's there's holes. I can't.
[37:00] I don't look at that squad and I say, you know, that squad is so
[37:03] much better than Liverpool's who's.
[37:05] Their left back. Who's their left back for?
[37:07] Before Vardiol it was IKEA kanji.
[37:11] It was like whoever fits in that left.
[37:12] Ball akka is not bad. I know, but it's not it's not
[37:15] Vardiol like they're I think they've been trying.
[37:17] Like, you point at this thing where they're in, you know,
[37:19] they're not, they're not trying to make the team younger, but
[37:22] they clearly are. Bro Savio Matthias Nunez.
[37:25] Savio, by the way, zero goals so far for Manchester City in 16
[37:28] appearance. I know, but 17 appearances?
[37:30] He's they're still positive. But you see, if that player was
[37:32] at Manchester United, how many memes would be made about that?
[37:35] Player it's this is Pep Guardiola.
[37:38] Pep Guardiola. We're giving, we're, we're
[37:39] letting off 7 zero goals in 17 games because of Pep, his
[37:43] manager, because of his manager, but he's still letting the
[37:46] player off. Brother Doku Doku he he turned
[37:49] Doku into assistant player. Well, I mean Doku now he doesn't
[37:52] even start him, but regardless he turned Doku which was like a
[37:54] flurry guy that would get GA into a complete system player
[37:57] like a grillish. We just expect Pep Guardiola to
[37:59] make the goal scores like Hallenby goal scorers and that's
[38:02] it. Sancho double O 7 harassment but
[38:07] Savio double O 17 riz that's low.
[38:10] Savio, bro, that guy's certified.
[38:11] How much was Savio bought for? 35 mil. 40 mil.
[38:14] How much was Sancho bought for? OK but still.
[38:16] Once again bro, if if you're signing players, Savio has
[38:19] played almost every single game for Manchester City and the
[38:21] brothers 0. He's not a bad player.
[38:24] I'm not saying he's a bad player, but come on playing for
[38:26] Manchester City if you if you win a couple years back when
[38:30] they had Maraz, Phil Foden, all these elite wingers, Sterling,
[38:35] like people ripped Sterling, but Sterling would be guaranteed for
[38:40] 30 goals and assists a year. Like guaranteed.
[38:44] I don't know, but even people like Sane, like people, it's
[38:47] just the wingers I feel have just weakened through the years.
[38:51] They went younger and they went more unexperienced like Doku and
[38:55] Savino. But you got to give these guys
[38:58] time. It's his first time playing in
[38:59] the Prem. I don't know.
[39:01] I just I I zero goals in 17 games is ridiculous for me I
[39:05] think. We're just being reactionary
[39:06] about City. It's easy to talk when they're
[39:08] in such a bad form, but this does this does lower them in the
[39:11] grand scheme of of how strong I think Pep still is.
[39:14] Because brother, you lot in that 55 losing streak, they lost the
[39:17] Spurs twice. They lost to Sporting, They lost
[39:20] to who else they lose to like they they they they didn't lose
[39:24] to just like arsenals. Brighton.
[39:27] Brighton as well. Yeah, Brighton.
[39:28] And maybe there's one more team if I'm not mistaken.
[39:30] But like, you're losing to strong, you know, like.
[39:33] Bournemouth. Oh yeah, yeah, that's.
[39:36] Bournemouth. Bournemouth, yeah.
[39:38] Yeah, but I, I know we spoke about this a lot on the pod.
[39:42] So I don't want to, I don't want to.
[39:44] And we can honestly, you could speak about this every week to
[39:46] be honest, but I don't want to go over this every single week.
[39:49] I just want to ask you guys, is Mattress City still the title
[39:52] favorites? Because the last time you spoke
[39:53] about, I think we did say they were still our title favorites
[39:56] when they started sliding. I'm going to say Liverpool is
[39:59] officially might like Liverpool is the title.
[40:02] Liverpool is is first by a fair margin. 10 points now.
[40:06] Almost 10 points right now. There's no reason it would be
[40:08] illogical to say that they're not the front runners at the
[40:10] moment. Yeah, I have to say Liverpool
[40:13] also, they've they've been too inevitable.
[40:15] Even when they they play bad, they've been winning so.
[40:18] Like today, like today, we can. I mean, we're not going to go,
[40:21] Millie, go ahead. Sorry, these are the type of
[40:24] gaps where you see Liverpool at, I think they're at 9 points, if
[40:28] I'm not mistaken, from City. And it's it's very, very hard
[40:33] for like for anyone to think that Man City, yeah, they could
[40:36] just recoup 9 points and even surpass Liverpool.
[40:40] Unless Liverpool hit a terrible patch of form, Manchester City
[40:44] is going to have to recuperate at least 3-4 games clean.
[40:47] Let's not forget though, there's a January transfer market
[40:50] approaching, so I think Man City is going to splash the cash.
[40:53] And if they don't, then yeah, I think I'm leaning towards
[40:57] Liverpool right now. Who's even available in January
[40:59] that you can say, let's say upgrades Manchester City
[41:02] significantly? Keep that energy until that
[41:03] happens. I'm, I'm going to be honest,
[41:06] anybody who's a CDM, literally, but.
[41:10] Once again, once again, OK, you're going to go, let's say
[41:13] the players who do make Manchester City better, they're
[41:16] worth, let's say minimum 45 mil. And in January it's probably
[41:21] more, but whatever, 45 mil, let's say minimum, you're going
[41:25] to buy that player for six months and then Roger comes back
[41:28] in the way. What happens to that player,
[41:31] It's gonna end up being a Cal. It's gonna end up being a Calvin
[41:33] Phillips situation where you're gonna end up loaning him out and
[41:36] then he's gonna end up his career is gonna end up
[41:38] dwindling. So Manchester City.
[41:39] Welcome to Man City. Manchester City, I know you're
[41:41] probably listening to this, especially because we met a few
[41:44] of you this week, this past week in London.
[41:46] Not the players, but whatever. The social media team, yeah.
[41:50] Manchester City, I will offer you Douglas Louise on loan for a
[41:54] six month period. Prem Proven, I'll offer you the
[41:56] loan. You see, that's not even that
[41:58] bad of an idea because it used to be Citigroup also. €6 million
[42:01] loan with an option to buy for 45,000,000 at the end of the
[42:04] season. Yes or no?
[42:07] No, because that's more than you paid for him.
[42:10] No, we give them Ealing, Junior and Barnacare.
[42:13] OK, and how's that playing out for them?
[42:15] Shit. Well, actually Ealing junior
[42:17] firms, you went to go watch Lazio Bologna tonight, No.
[42:19] So how did he play? Did he play at all or no?
[42:23] No, no, he didn't play I. Don't think.
[42:26] So no but. Unless he didn't stand out that
[42:28] badly, but I'm pretty sure he. Where?
[42:30] Where is Baton Nikkei? Is he still Aston Villa?
[42:32] He went out on loan. Because I haven't heard that
[42:35] that's a name. I have not.
[42:36] Heard in a while. I'm going to be honest, I'm not
[42:40] keeping up with my frozen on a legend.
[42:42] Baton Nikkei. But I saw, I see transfers, I
[42:44] saw ailing junior made some noise in CL potentially I think.
[42:49] What kind of noise was that and where?
[42:51] Oh, with his brother's been plastered to the bench.
[42:53] His brother didn't see the light of day.
[42:56] Oh, he's been plastered to the bench, but he scored against
[42:59] Como and that's about it. He started off I I just checked.
[43:05] Yeah, I just checked. Ealing Junior did not play, no,
[43:08] and that's probably why we didn't see him.
[43:12] Bro Tomasso Pobega got a Greg card in the 35th minute.
[43:15] Horrible, got to see him live too it.
[43:17] Was very, very bad. That's one player.
[43:18] The Bologna. Kids, you watched, right?
[43:21] And that he played at Milan, which is crazy.
[43:24] That's what I was telling from this said we had to have done
[43:28] something in our lives that aligns our trajectory with
[43:32] watching Popega Popega getting a red card and watching De
[43:37] Silvestri as right back. In the Zakani master class.
[43:41] Like the we must have done something so terribly off
[43:44] putting on the timeline that we ended up seeing this match.
[43:48] In your past life, the timeline lines up.
[43:50] You're born in 2001. You must have done some
[43:52] seriously bad stuff before you died, because this life ain't
[43:55] treating you well, Latio. This is a great.
[43:59] Don't worry Latio Latio was my first match watched in Europe.
[44:03] A little side what did? You watch Exactly.
[44:07] Oh wow. Bigger game than what we
[44:09] watched, but but this was honestly the this is a little
[44:13] sidetracked, but yeah, it's a it was pretty much the only big
[44:17] game that was near us. So we said, still need people,
[44:20] you have to. In the end, there was a good
[44:22] game, yeah. There was the goals, there was
[44:23] everything. That kind of show, yeah, that
[44:25] kind of killed it. That kind of show.
[44:27] But obviously you look at Bologna and the fall off like
[44:31] when you look at no Xerxe, no Calafiore, even the coach change
[44:35] that team is not the same at all.
[44:36] I don't know what happened there.
[44:37] It it sucks that you guys weren't able to watch instead.
[44:41] Napoli and Roma weren't in, wasn't in Rome.
[44:43] That would have been way better. It was in Napoli, yeah, that
[44:46] would have been. That would have been a must.
[44:47] Could have seen a Lucan master class in real life.
[44:50] I would have been chanting the same thing as AS Roma fans,
[44:53] that's for sure. That's for sure.
[44:55] We would have been in tune. I heard a little Napoli master
[44:58] class though they did destroy them so not good for Ranieri.
[45:02] I won nothing, Ranieri was. AI think, I think.
[45:05] Roman got like a dog, I. Think Roman got 0.07 XG or
[45:09] something crazy like that. This is.
[45:11] A It was like that in the 60th minute or 70th minute, like
[45:15] Napoli, Napoli, we must speak about this. 0.58 So they must
[45:19] have had some good chances in the last minute while they were.
[45:21] Broke three shots on target the whole game.
[45:23] I would assume so. I mean, fourteen shots.
[45:26] Napoli, Napoli are cooking but whatever, we can move on to the
[45:30] next game. Arsenal.
[45:31] This was the game I watched first on the plane while someone
[45:35] was pissing themselves next to me.
[45:36] Arsenal won three, nothing against Nottingham Force.
[45:38] I would kind of say this was like welcome back Oregon.
[45:42] Exactly, this is welcome back. This is a statement win by
[45:44] Arsenal I would actually say, because Nottingham Force has
[45:46] been running through teams before this.
[45:49] So the fact that they were able to beat them 3, nothing is kind
[45:51] of convincing. Prior to this game, where was
[45:52] Nottingham? 4 is maybe 4-5.
[45:54] I think they were in the top four.
[45:55] They were either 5th or 4th. Yeah.
[45:57] But anyway, they were they were they were up there and it's
[46:00] older guard. It's so good.
[46:01] It's good, so good to have older guard back.
[46:03] And you really see how having two people that can actually
[46:06] create and move the ball properly allows Saka to be so
[46:10] much more important. Because before it was just like
[46:13] like versus Inter by the we know Saka's the we know Saka's your
[46:16] best player. We're going to lock them up.
[46:17] You guys can't do anything, but now you have Odegard to kind of
[46:20] like spread that, spread that threat in a way.
[46:22] But once again, like you saw it today off the bench, that player
[46:26] was always there and whenever he came off the bench and played
[46:29] super well. But then you are Teta has this
[46:33] this idea that, oh, I can't start a 17 year old in the
[46:35] primer or however old he is. I think he's the youngest,
[46:38] either him or, says Fabrias. But he's the youngest goal
[46:40] scorer in Arsenal history now potentially.
[46:42] Yeah, but I. Yeah, so this isn't this ain't
[46:45] no regular wonder kid, but Arteta refuses to start him even
[46:48] when the player was in front of him is injured.
[46:51] It really didn't make sense. But look, credits off to Arsenal
[46:54] because Odegard really dropped a master class and Saka dropped a
[46:58] master class. And it's crazy because Saka, we
[47:01] didn't even know if he was going to start his brother was limping
[47:04] last game against Chelsea. It looked like he was going to
[47:06] miss a long period of time. And then you just see him.
[47:09] Oh, yeah, he's starting. And by the way, here's a goal,
[47:11] and this is for you. But I'm scared that he was.
[47:13] He's playing through an injury and this a. 100% I think we seen
[47:16] this with Rashford bro, I seen this with Rashford that you can
[47:18] do this playing for playing through an injury for one month,
[47:21] two months, three months. But then long term look at
[47:25] Rashford's pace now. I even bro there was a point
[47:27] where he was A1V1 with Dara O'Shea from Ipswich 1V1 pace.
[47:33] O'Shea outpaced him. I said look at how they
[47:35] massacred my boy. My boy, what the hell they mess
[47:40] you guys? For real.
[47:41] But no, I think you're right. I think it's like it's like you
[47:43] every time you play through an injury, you pour a little bit of
[47:45] water into the pot. Exactly.
[47:46] And then by the end of your career, brother, you got a Kyle
[47:49] Walker pot. You're you're fool.
[47:51] But Paula, what did you think of Gabriel Jesus playing over
[47:55] Harvard's? Like I don't know if it was an
[47:57] injury concern or whatever, but honestly I think he did pretty
[48:00] good. I mean, but there's something
[48:02] about Harvard's that it just, it just clogs up the attack.
[48:07] I don't know if I don't know if I'm crazy or if I'm the only
[48:09] Arsenal fan that sees. This fun fact Our Habits was the
[48:12] only player for Arsenal that played every single 90 this year
[48:15] so far in the Prim. That would make sense.
[48:17] That would that would really make sense.
[48:19] So is he the guy? Like it's really blocking
[48:21] because it's. Weird because or what?
[48:23] You can never say that habits is the problem and what and in the
[48:27] past when he hasn't been there and hasn't been much better.
[48:30] But but in this game it just seemed like that's what unlocked
[48:32] the system. But I I don't know it could be a
[48:34] one game, one off game This week midweek there's Champions
[48:38] League. We'll see if he starts haverts,
[48:40] but I'd be interested to see another full 90 without haverts.
[48:42] Well, another another start without haverts, but we won't
[48:46] talk too much about Arsenal, Nottingham Forest.
[48:48] I mean, it wasn't. It was.
[48:49] Yeah. When things are positive, we
[48:50] don't like to, Yeah. We only talk about Arsenal when
[48:52] they lose. Talk about negative.
[48:54] Wait till they. Lose.
[48:55] Just wait until they lose and then that Arteta sacked 1.
[48:58] Is 3 clips in real? Exactly.
[49:00] That's going to cover the whole week on take.
[49:01] Don't worry, I'll make the covers for those N curves.
[49:03] I got that. But the last game in the prime,
[49:05] I guess we ought to talk about is, I mean, Chelsea won again.
[49:08] Yeah, we can mention that quickly.
[49:09] Chelsea won again. Is that we're, we're getting a
[49:11] little bit scared here. Did you, did you see that story
[49:14] about the Leicester players who by the way, Leicester just
[49:16] sacked Steve Cooper, which is irrelevant in the grand scheme
[49:19] of things. I would have never mentioned
[49:20] this, but there was a cool story that Leicester just lost this
[49:25] weekend and the players went out clubbing after and they got you
[49:29] know how they bottle girls bring out a sign, right?
[49:32] They bring out a sign of oh. No, they didn't know they.
[49:36] They put the sign of Enzo. We miss you.
[49:40] Really. Yeah, that was the sign.
[49:42] Oh boy. So that's aura, Yeah, that is
[49:45] aura. Low key if your players love you
[49:47] that much and the fact that Chelsea you got to squad that
[49:51] kind of looked like they were stagnating a bit off to a flying
[49:54] start. I mean Loki Angela Reska quickly
[49:58] quickly going up my manager rankings right now.
[50:01] They didn't they. Do what they have to do every
[50:03] week. Yeah it's weird to see a team we
[50:06] haven't seen. Chelsea do what they have to do.
[50:07] Play football week in week out. Since Conte and bro they
[50:11] generate almost three XG. There, there's so much more
[50:14] confidence in their players now than there were maybe even
[50:17] honestly a year ago. Like you have a Nicholas
[50:21] Jackson, even I think Joel Felix started this year, if I'm not
[50:23] mistaken, which was and so. Mariska roulette is very similar
[50:27] to pep roulette. You never know who's going to
[50:28] start. Yeah, now nice for FPL, let me
[50:31] tell you that. But.
[50:33] But from from what I. What I.
[50:35] What I heard Joel Felix didn't have that great of a game.
[50:37] No, he did not. He did not.
[50:39] Joel. Felix, yeah, he did not have
[50:41] that great of a game. But have you guys seen since
[50:43] Enzo Fernandez, like left his wife and kid, this guy has been
[50:48] on a demon demon trail. This guy, six matches in a row,
[50:52] he's been a demon. I mean, I'm sure he's been a
[50:56] demon somewhere else. But listen, I'll put my hands
[50:59] up. I don't know a thing.
[51:01] Yeah, we definitely don't know a thing about that Barry Shell
[51:04] played. And I think this is this is
[51:07] brother if Maresca's already getting comfortable enough to
[51:09] boost players prices going into January, because I saw some
[51:12] rumors that some clubs were actually interested in in in
[51:15] Barry Ashill. And if if this is a ploy to make
[51:18] him play a couple games, make him look good and then sell them
[51:20] in January, Maresca, hats off to you.
[51:22] If I'm a Chelsea fan, I'm hoping they're doing that for Robert
[51:24] Sanchez too because his brother certified.
[51:27] Holy shit no no, he's the only man of Chelsea.
[51:31] No, he's not. Bro not.
[51:32] His world class. Certified.
[51:35] Same player. Patches his cheeks.
[51:36] He's the worst goalie in the Prem potentially.
[51:38] No, but what are you talking about?
[51:41] No, that's not hard. OK, sorry.
[51:43] Southampton's McCarthy is worse bro, you're right.
[51:46] Robert Sanchez is a very good shot stopper.
[51:48] Same like Onana. Onana is a better shot stopper.
[51:51] They both mess up sometimes that's that's the problem and I
[51:54] was talking about this with a Chelsea fan.
[51:55] You can't have your goalie losing you points like your
[52:00] goalie should save the shots he has to save occasionally save an
[52:03] anomaly, but your your goalie should not make he almost.
[52:05] Lost them in this game that's single handedly.
[52:07] That's what the problem with Robert Sanchez.
[52:09] He gave them the ball. Every two seconds he was giving
[52:11] them the ball. And against Brighton, he almost
[52:14] did the same thing like. He got that Ramsdale trade,
[52:16] yeah. Exactly.
[52:17] And I can't take a goalie like that serious.
[52:19] That's why Ramsdale's at South you.
[52:20] Take Onana seriously. Bro, Onana is not like that.
[52:23] I really don't think you watched Onana and you, you even watched
[52:26] him today drop probably man of the match performance today and
[52:29] you're saying that with your chest.
[52:31] Bro like this like this. Oh, Nana is the best goalie.
[52:34] For him, brother lost you a a noticeable amount of.
[52:37] Points CL That's it. Pre L he was amazing and this
[52:40] year is an amazing. CL We disregard.
[52:43] At the end of the day it was like 3 games he played bad and
[52:45] everyone poster he they use that three-game sample size as his
[52:48] entire season. No, I'm just saying the the guy
[52:50] makes brain farts. The problem forever is that you
[52:54] say he's the best goalkeeper in the Prem when Allison is there.
[52:58] You could just say he's a good keeper.
[52:59] We'll leave it at Banana Banana. OK, we'll see.
[53:03] They're in the same tier, bro. That's all I'm gonna say.
[53:05] Just just keep him good. He's a mistake.
[53:08] All I'm gonna say anyways, talking about shitty ass things
[53:12] just in general. You've played Milan and it ended
[53:15] 00. What about the official match
[53:18] review for this one? Because I'm not going to lie, I
[53:20] had it on for three minutes, turned it off right away.
[53:22] That shit was so. OK, no, it was actually it was a
[53:25] good game, but it was like the Google.
[53:27] It was a good game as a as it was a tactical.
[53:29] Game. Bro it was a tactical.
[53:31] Game. No, it was horrible.
[53:32] No, it was a tactical game and you've dominated and you've made
[53:34] tactic. Control.
[53:35] When? You've made the Milan.
[53:37] Dominate, it's a leg re ball and get this guy out of my club but
[53:39] when it's Mata it's it was a tactical game.
[53:42] What did you dominate firms exactly?
[53:45] Possession probably I'm going to be honest bro, I was watching
[53:49] yes, I was watching this 1,000,000 and I'm like I was
[53:53] watching it 1,000,000 and I'm saying brother, there's no way
[53:55] to go mota with this UV master class rebuild pulls up to the
[53:59] San Siro and is playing for a draw.
[54:01] I cannot believe this this this UVA.
[54:04] You guys are going for this cudeto apparently.
[54:06] Yeah, this cudeto have more draws than wins.
[54:09] Juventus 5056% Possession shots wise, you guys had one shot on
[54:14] target, we had two. Congratulations to us and we
[54:17] started coup miners at striker because Vlavich was.
[54:19] In there. Oh, but when 10 hack got all the
[54:21] injuries, it's not an excuse, but it's OK for Thiago Mata,
[54:24] it's an excuse. Whatever, now I'm saying.
[54:25] It was. Horrendous coup miners was.
[54:28] Horrendous. Oh so.
[54:30] So when you play, when you play a, a guy that's that's not a
[54:32] nine at all. And then he's he's not a false
[54:34] 9, he's not a nine. He's known sort.
[54:36] He's a false player at that point.
[54:38] When you put him nine, he doesn't play well.
[54:39] Wow, makes sense brother. We have Milek unavailable.
[54:43] We had zero strike striker options.
[54:45] This is just. Milek.
[54:46] Did I just hear Milek? Milek's still.
[54:48] Injured. Milek is still a UV player.
[54:51] You think Blovich makes a difference?
[54:53] Bro, of course he makes a difference.
[54:54] A striker playing striker, of course he makes a difference.
[54:58] But but but then at that point, but then at that point, why
[55:01] doesn't Thiago Moto try to put the put a system in place that
[55:05] kind of accommodates like a deeper playmaker instead of like
[55:09] a a pure number 91 like on the Galapagos Islands out there?
[55:14] Bro, he really doesn't matter. Manchester City.
[55:17] Playing honestly, honestly, looking at this lineup he didn't
[55:21] play bad for, there wasn't a bad game for you, Ray.
[55:23] It's just like, bro, I, I was hearing Allegri out, Allegri out
[55:28] all of last season for playing the same like kind of brand of
[55:31] football. But meanwhile, Muta doesn't.
[55:33] And it's he's the next, he's the next Marcelo Lippi.
[55:37] But he hasn't lost the. Game.
[55:38] You know the difference. But he's tied. 7.
[55:42] A draw for, I don't know, maybe for not for your size clubs, but
[55:45] for big clubs like for when we're talking about Ipswich. 11
[55:48] No, but it's positive. Ipswich 110 My God Ipswich AC
[55:55] Ipswich, AC Milan honestly same levels to be on the same levels
[55:58] bro keep your keep your logic. No Apple keep maybe be.
[56:01] Milan's best Play 0. Yeah.
[56:02] Oh yeah. Anyway, I don't know why UV is
[56:04] getting all this shit. Milan played this game too.
[56:06] And Milan. I have a bet with firms that
[56:07] firms might have forgotten about that Milan finish above.
[56:10] UV I did not forget. Well, if Milan win their game in
[56:13] hand, what's the what's the table looking like?
[56:14] Bro Milan is shit. I don't.
[56:16] Need to look at the three points away from Juventus.
[56:18] And you have a game, Yeah. That's how you watch football
[56:20] without. Your eyes and you have a game in
[56:21] hand, right? You guys didn't.
[56:23] You guys. I do, yeah.
[56:23] You. Guys, do I do.
[56:25] I do. I do, I personally do.
[56:27] I'm gonna revoke that and make it 2 games an ad.
[56:30] No, but honestly I still think we did play like shit.
[56:33] Like all things considered there's a lot of players who are
[56:37] still not convincing me at all. Although, like, I feel like
[56:43] Fonseca's still not at fault. There were so many bad passes
[56:46] and you saw as soon as some better players come on the field
[56:49] like Pulisic, the game changed. Yeah, that's true.
[56:51] The game was completely more open, more passing, more
[56:54] attacks. But then you have people like
[56:56] just Emerson giving away stupid passes once in a while.
[57:00] Who else was it? I mean, low key, you could throw
[57:02] a lot layout in that conversation too.
[57:04] I'm not, I'm not gonna let's, I'm not gonna say, I'm not gonna
[57:07] say the blame is on Fonseca, but there has to be a reason why
[57:12] Rafaelayo is not used in his optimal position and he's just
[57:15] roaming in the middle of the pitch.
[57:17] I'm telling you, it's him there's.
[57:18] But Fonseca just gives him free roam.
[57:20] Then what is Then why did you bench him for all those games?
[57:22] Why did why did Fonseca have to prove a point about Rafaelayo
[57:26] just for him to go back on the pitch and say, yeah, you can do
[57:28] whatever you want? Paula, I don't know if you saw
[57:30] it, There was that one play where Layout dribbles like four
[57:33] guys out of nowhere and then just completely miss passes and
[57:38] just gives it back to you guys and you guys had a counter
[57:40] attack I saw. This like Woppy?
[57:41] You prove yourself, you're world class and then you just, you
[57:45] make me want to hate you. Like how do you go so
[57:48] inconsistently throughout the game?
[57:50] It makes no sense to me. I think this is a mentality.
[57:52] Issue why? Why pulsage start pulsage?
[57:54] When he came on it was like. I agree it was a different game.
[57:58] Stomach problems or something? My jummy hurt.
[58:00] He just like me bro. Me.
[58:02] Tell me. He just like me, but.
[58:04] Can we speak about the fact that yields didn't pass the Emerson
[58:07] Royal test, by the way? Can we talk about the fact you
[58:09] know why again yieldies played yields out of the bro?
[58:14] Let me tell you, Emerson had eight tacos that game.
[58:17] Yeah, most in Milan history. That's Clamps.
[58:19] Most in Milan history. That's the most, yes.
[58:22] I saw the stat on Twitter. It's the most a Milan player has
[58:24] ever had in a game. Emerson Royale got cooked bro
[58:28] got cooked multiple. OK, tacos.
[58:31] He got cooked bro. What are you watching?
[58:33] What game did you watch bro? Natural harassment.
[58:36] Yieldy's Rizz. I'm like, I'll look at him, Rob.
[58:38] You didn't watch the game, why? I'm on King bro, you just
[58:41] admitted. No, I'm on Barbara C on this
[58:43] one, bro. You'll this game was very, very
[58:46] like. He was amazing.
[58:46] He showed a lot of quality. It was.
[58:48] He was very, very amusing. Contessau was a a brother that
[58:53] just ran in the same place, did circles and did little Donuts
[58:57] like that, like Speedy Gonzalez and then just.
[58:59] Lost the ball or just passed the house and then called it a day,
[59:03] Yeah. I listen, this was a game that
[59:06] like really got 00 written all over it, Savannah starting, but
[59:11] he was OK at best. Like he didn't.
[59:14] He really did nothing to show me that he deserves to be a starter
[59:18] for Juventus out of all teams. No, he deserves to start.
[59:21] I don't think he deserves. To who would you play in his
[59:23] place? It it really doesn't matter.
[59:26] Find someone better than that. That's a that's a brother like
[59:29] he. It's your fault.
[59:31] It's your fault for for starting him.
[59:33] Why? What's the problem?
[59:34] It's your fault. What does Savannah do?
[59:36] Because because Juventus is supposed to be at a level right
[59:41] now where they should be. I'm not saying top of Seria, but
[59:45] much more in the race with the four or five other teams.
[59:49] Clearly they are not Thiago Monta has had a decent amount of
[59:53] time already with this squad. I get it.
[59:55] He's bringing in the youth. That's the one positive that he
[59:59] kind of did that kind of has over a leg right now is his
[1:00:02] introduction of more youth in the squad.
[1:00:04] But it has come at the expense of results.
[1:00:08] It has come at the expense of points.
[1:00:12] OK, Juventus yield. These was introduced by Alegy.
[1:00:15] Yield these. Honestly what is Juventus's best
[1:00:18] player hands down right now? Like I don't really 100% but
[1:00:23] Juventus have 0 losses which is a great start all things
[1:00:28] considered, but you guys have 7 draws and some I think six wins.
[1:00:34] You have more draws than wins that you guys don't have enough
[1:00:38] to get over the line. Talk your shit Melly.
[1:00:40] I'm just, that's all. That's all I'm.
[1:00:41] Saying Emily's just saying a lot of air.
[1:00:42] He's just saying the the stuff you can see on Fat Mob.
[1:00:44] It's not air, bro. It's not air.
[1:00:46] You guys don't have the teeth. You guys don't have the teeth to
[1:00:50] get over the line and win a game.
[1:00:52] I did not. At one point I didn't Our top
[1:00:55] our top goal and it shouldn't matter.
[1:00:56] The best center back in the. League, it shouldn't matter.
[1:00:58] Inter Inter had six starters not play.
[1:01:01] Inter had Inter had six starters not play yesterday and we won
[1:01:04] five. Nothing like it's.
[1:01:06] It should not be a factor. OK, now, now it shouldn't be.
[1:01:10] OK, you lost the. OK, go.
[1:01:11] I'll let you go. Yeah.
[1:01:11] You lost Stacey Milan, by the way.
[1:01:12] I'll let you go. You lost Stacey Milan full
[1:01:14] health. So I'm gonna.
[1:01:16] I'm gonna. Injure I.
[1:01:18] I'm gonna injure. You bring up a When you bring up
[1:01:20] a stat like that, I know that. Like, we're not gonna have a
[1:01:22] conversation. Juventus have 7 ties.
[1:01:24] They have more ties than wins, yeah.
[1:01:26] We also have seven goals conceded and four of them were
[1:01:28] to enter in one game and we tied that game.
[1:01:30] So we technically. And how many goals conceded?
[1:01:33] Three goals conceded over the rest.
[1:01:34] Of the season, how many goals do you have?
[1:01:35] I don't know. How many goals do you have?
[1:01:37] You're the stock guy. Because you guys draw, so
[1:01:39] there's no way your goal difference has ever got. 21
[1:01:42] goals we have 21 goals for. That's more than Milan.
[1:01:45] More than Milan. Have a game in hand.
[1:01:47] By one more by one more than one goal more in the league, by the
[1:01:51] way, we have a better plus minus than that.
[1:01:53] Because Napoli score and then they just.
[1:01:55] By one again. They just part.
[1:01:56] No, UVA has one more goal than both Milan and Napoli.
[1:02:01] Yeah, one more. And and double the double, you
[1:02:05] have double more conceded goals in US.
[1:02:07] So if you want to go double, that's double, you have 14
[1:02:09] goals. Against 7, but I know Milan has
[1:02:12] a defensive issue. See, the difference is that you
[1:02:14] guys do not have a defensive issue.
[1:02:16] If we have yet, you're like what, five points ahead?
[1:02:18] OK firms, let me get something straight.
[1:02:20] So we scored more goals than you yes.
[1:02:23] You guys don't have enough 1 You guys don't have one more goal
[1:02:25] yes OK with the same amount let's say just for you we have
[1:02:27] the same amount of goals for OK, You guys have a defensive issue
[1:02:30] because you have double the more goals conceded.
[1:02:32] We have scored the same amount of goals as you saw.
[1:02:35] Where's the hate? Like do we have an, we have an
[1:02:37] offensive issue, you guys don't? I'm not hating, I'm just saying.
[1:02:40] I'm just saying bro, you fixed Milan's defensive issues.
[1:02:42] We're right you guys. You guys have been clean sheeted
[1:02:44] 6 times this season UV. Yeah.
[1:02:46] But we've also clean sheeted all six of those teams.
[1:02:48] Yeah, but So what? That's what I'm saying.
[1:02:53] You can't. You can't win if you don't.
[1:02:54] You're not winning those games. You're acting like I'm not
[1:02:56] saying those games should be wins, but versus Milan it's more
[1:03:00] tolerable when you don't have Bremer, when you don't have
[1:03:03] Vlavic, When Juan Cabal just got injured, brother.
[1:03:05] I I hear excuses, Excuses, OK. OK, once again I'm going to
[1:03:09] injure layout. I'm going to injure layout.
[1:03:11] Had these excuses last year was for shitting on.
[1:03:14] Him. No one's talking about much, as
[1:03:15] you know right now, merely to go back to what you were saying,
[1:03:17] because I'm thinking on three guys right now.
[1:03:19] Pause, Millie. If I injure Latar Martinez and I
[1:03:22] injure Bastoni and Chalanoglu's week to week, you, you struggle.
[1:03:26] You struggle versus Milan. 'S which we which we already
[1:03:29] went through and we went ended up in seven games.
[1:03:31] Five wins. No, no, no, but but against
[1:03:34] like, OK, it was a shitty game, but like Ellas Verona, they were
[1:03:37] missing Latado, they were missing Barada, like Mark every.
[1:03:40] Bastoni was in play, Dropped. A Man in the Match performance
[1:03:42] this week. They won 50.
[1:03:45] Well, the players are stepping up.
[1:03:47] It's the only thing about Juventus.
[1:03:49] You guys would be first place if you guys played a competent
[1:03:53] striker, if you had a competent striker.
[1:03:56] I actually, I've always said Volvich.
[1:03:59] I've always liked Volvich, but it just, the fact is, is that
[1:04:04] after Volvich, there's just no one else to offer at the pure
[1:04:08] nine position. Yodis is there producing.
[1:04:12] He is not the problem at all. But you need supporting cast if
[1:04:16] you wanna win a Scudetto, if you wanna be in Champions League,
[1:04:20] you need the supporting cast. That's all.
[1:04:22] Those are a couple pieces that Juventus is missing right now.
[1:04:25] Thiago Mota, I'm not expecting him to win the Cete on the first
[1:04:27] year, but next year I we need to see very, very good players join
[1:04:32] Juventus so that that team. Could be we brought in Douglas
[1:04:34] Louise like you're bringing in players.
[1:04:37] By the way, that's over 2 on players you just named.
[1:04:40] It's it's how many games into the season.
[1:04:41] I'm gonna give them more time. Douglas Louise, Something just
[1:04:45] happened on their end. We'll be back.
[1:04:46] We're back. We had a little technical
[1:04:47] difficulty, but I just wanted to say firms and firms we're back.
[1:04:53] We just had a little technical difficulty.
[1:04:55] And by the way, before we get back into it for million firms,
[1:04:58] it's look, it's, it's 10 it's 10:00 PM here.
[1:05:01] What time is it for you guys? It's.
[1:05:04] Like a like a little 44 AM situation. 4:00 AM session over
[1:05:07] in Italy. You know, just a light, light
[1:05:10] day in the office for box to box.
[1:05:12] You know how it is, boy. Million.
[1:05:14] Can't question the commitment, you guys can't question our
[1:05:16] commitment to this channel you. I'm tired from you.
[1:05:20] We, we were trying, we were trying to figure out a way to
[1:05:22] get this done. And we're like, listen, we just
[1:05:24] got to get it over the line, take it on the chin, roll with
[1:05:27] the punches. Yeah, because there was no
[1:05:30] alternative because of the game, because if we were recording
[1:05:33] this before you guys went to the Bologna Lazio game, we wouldn't
[1:05:37] have been able to talk about the Sunday, the Sunday games.
[1:05:39] So this was this. Was I've been able to talk about
[1:05:42] Bologna a lot too. Exactly.
[1:05:44] And the alternative was just not doing the pod, but you guys?
[1:05:46] That's not. Yeah, that wasn't an
[1:05:47] alternative. Well, no, because yeah, but now
[1:05:49] we got we got firms in million on these Yee ass cameras if you
[1:05:54] guys see it on YouTube. Respect Middle East MacBook.
[1:05:58] But. Is best, but we can go into the
[1:06:02] last game of this weekend that we're gonna speak about Barsa
[1:06:05] Tide Tutu. I mean, we saved the best for
[1:06:07] last, as the kids are saying now.
[1:06:10] Listen, listen, listen. Carry on top.
[1:06:12] Listen, Barsa fans, before I shit on you, I might not this
[1:06:14] week because you guys were dominating like dominating win
[1:06:18] 2020 up and then a couple a couple mistakes.
[1:06:21] Red card that's. What the Barsha Times were
[1:06:23] telling me, they said it was not a good performance, like just in
[1:06:25] general too. It was really just if there was
[1:06:27] no red card, they would not have lost that game.
[1:06:29] Yes, well I saw, I saw Flick running to the the tunnel at
[1:06:34] half time. He was pissed.
[1:06:36] Yeah, they weren't playing well. They wasn't a good game.
[1:06:38] They were still about to crew, so comfortable win.
[1:06:40] Regardless they out XG them. But look at that.
[1:06:44] I remember, I remember looking getting the the football, 'cause
[1:06:47] it. I'm gonna keep it a straight bug
[1:06:49] fellas. Everyone listening to.
[1:06:50] Bro Jules couldn't. They I could not watch this game
[1:06:53] unfortunately, but. We can't.
[1:06:55] Watch every game but the foot mob ratings The the foot mob
[1:06:58] notifications came in clutch the the Barsa 2 nothing up I tell
[1:07:02] firms oh man, Barsa's. What's going on?
[1:07:04] What's? Going on, Barsa's winning OK, no
[1:07:06] problem. Yeah.
[1:07:06] So we're not going to speak about Barsa this week on the
[1:07:08] pod. And then 10 minutes later, it's
[1:07:11] front office, front page. Well, no, it's not really.
[1:07:14] It was just more like we're like huh, Huh.
[1:07:17] True, but who this I? Think today says something about
[1:07:21] what, like it's all sunshine and rainbows to have a young,
[1:07:24] inexperienced team, like having a young, you know, and you're
[1:07:26] winning, getting talent when you're winning, that's all nice
[1:07:28] and dandy. But when things like this happen
[1:07:31] where one of your midfielders gets a double yellow and gets a
[1:07:33] red, because I mean, that also contributes to the greater that
[1:07:38] bars all these young players. They don't know how to run out a
[1:07:40] game like, sorry, they don't know how to win out a game.
[1:07:43] Like this is stuff that comes with experience, comes with
[1:07:45] time. So I think this points to a
[1:07:47] bigger thing for Barcelona. It's no, it's no panic in any
[1:07:49] sense. I'm just saying this is a little
[1:07:51] blip in the radar. I mean this whatever you dropped
[1:07:53] a couple of points and you guys like, I don't know learned how
[1:07:55] to manage. Not just a couple of points
[1:07:57] anymore though, because, well, they're still now 4 points up.
[1:08:00] But Ramen should have a game in hand, so assuming Real Madrid
[1:08:02] aren't, they aren't playing bar, so they aren't playing Athletico
[1:08:04] Madrid. So assuming Real Madrid win that
[1:08:05] game in hand, it's going to be one point, so it's not in.
[1:08:08] That in the next. Classic, that cushion, that
[1:08:11] cushion that Barcelona built up by waiting on classical.
[1:08:13] Real Madrid dropping all these points at the beginning, trying
[1:08:15] to figure out their team. It's gone.
[1:08:17] The whole cushion gone. Next to classical bro.
[1:08:20] We'll see you there, March. I mean, well, it's.
[1:08:26] Going to be a decisive game bro I bet.
[1:08:28] Percent. But by the way, as I said, Kunde
[1:08:31] stinker, massive stinker and. This is after two other
[1:08:35] stinkers. Yes, but like Barsa fans, you
[1:08:38] guys can't just speak about Kunde when he's playing well.
[1:08:41] Like this is what you guys like to do.
[1:08:43] I'm sure they admit that Kunde's not been playing.
[1:08:45] Well, you hype them up. You hype them up when they're
[1:08:47] playing well, but then you're silent when they're not playing
[1:08:49] well. That's the issue in the Prem,
[1:08:50] you can't hide. There's no hiding in the Prem.
[1:08:53] If you play bad, you hear about it.
[1:08:55] I'd like to counter with this and say that you do not hype up
[1:08:59] players when they play well and just shit on.
[1:09:00] That's a lie, I said. I said Pedro's amazing.
[1:09:03] I said Gabby's amazing. I've said all.
[1:09:04] All their players are amazing. I love Barsa players that are
[1:09:06] good. Yamal is amazing.
[1:09:09] I love Barsa players that are. Good, he has said that.
[1:09:11] Just just clip I love Barsa and just take out the.
[1:09:13] Players right now that's no I love barsa no don't clip that I
[1:09:17] will see that in the discord for sure you.
[1:09:19] Will, Yeah. But.
[1:09:21] Yeah, by the way. By the way, if you're not in the
[1:09:22] Discord, check, check that. Go check out our Patreon.
[1:09:26] But Barsa it's it's starting to add up now because those games
[1:09:31] that you. Understand it now.
[1:09:32] No, yeah I am doing clip, don't understand it no more.
[1:09:37] Aside from that, I mean real, whatever real, real 30 dominant
[1:09:39] win. I hope so versus Laganis and and
[1:09:43] that's that's the weekend in football.
[1:09:44] And now we just have the Champions League boys.
[1:09:47] It is a big week in Champions League.
[1:09:49] The small fixtures of the week are like the Juventus versus
[1:09:52] Aston Villas, which by the way, Aston Villa, that's.
[1:09:54] Going to be a clean sweep Aston Villa for.
[1:09:56] Now where's all that everyone said?
[1:09:58] Oh, the top 10 powering the top ten, powering where they've been
[1:10:00] since. Anyway, I digress.
[1:10:01] So if Aston Villa is not top 10 power ranking, then what the
[1:10:04] fuck does that make UV? Because Aston Villa is in the
[1:10:08] top what, 4 or 5A Champions League?
[1:10:10] I think actually no, they might be top 8.
[1:10:12] They're higher than you. They actually know that might
[1:10:14] that's actually wrong, I think, I believe.
[1:10:15] Brother, stop talking all your head.
[1:10:17] Oh my God. Stop talking while you're ahead
[1:10:19] anyway. The barometer.
[1:10:20] The barometer is UV. That's.
[1:10:23] What it is? But like I said, there's some
[1:10:25] other big fixture. Who's Milan?
[1:10:26] Milan playing this week. Slavon Bratis Lava 40 win
[1:10:30] Dominant. Performance coming up I will be
[1:10:32] the inter. Empire Leverkusen.
[1:10:37] Gonna be? No, you're not.
[1:10:38] Playing Meyer. Leipzig like.
[1:10:40] Same shit, different smell. No, definitely not.
[1:10:42] Different smell. Leipzig Look.
[1:10:43] Cheeks are the same ass, no? Leverku Leverku is an actually a
[1:10:46] dominant win this weekend, but. I guess we'll get they went down
[1:10:49] to nothing. And what did they win, Millie?
[1:10:53] Yeah, they won 5/2. Anyway, Millie is spitting on
[1:10:55] their grave. Yeah, anyway, with that, with
[1:10:57] that drippy Schumacher jersey wanker.
[1:11:00] Wanker, wanker, we were doing. This all in lunch.
[1:11:05] This is all. I don't know what that means, so
[1:11:08] we shouldn't be throwing that around, but sure, you're.
[1:11:10] Probably OK we. Don't know the actual.
[1:11:12] Meaning of it we know that they they pull those out at the
[1:11:14] soccer at the football game, sorry and they just they pull
[1:11:17] those out to the opposing fans. We don't know what it actually I
[1:11:19] thought it was just a loose wanker.
[1:11:21] I don't know, I thought it was a loose wank.
[1:11:22] No, I know. It's anyway.
[1:11:25] Yeah, I'm. Sure, it's something really
[1:11:27] friendly though. I'm sure it's like a like.
[1:11:30] A like a like a virtual hug. Anyway, yeah, honestly, like
[1:11:34] during COVID, I think that's what they were doing to like.
[1:11:37] Do the camera, they were just going, we have two big matches.
[1:11:39] We're gonna, I mean, we're gonna leave the biggest match for the
[1:11:41] end. But Bayern versus PSG, this kind
[1:11:45] of means less than it looks like It means because these are two
[1:11:48] teams that I'm not like currently loving this season.
[1:11:51] But what do you guys think? I think this is a team that's
[1:11:55] very two teams that are extremely similar to each other,
[1:11:58] especially the this past Champions League, where in the
[1:12:02] in their leagues they are the best in the business, but then
[1:12:06] in the Champions League they falter, show a lot of cracks.
[1:12:09] It's going to be really tough to see who comes out in this one.
[1:12:14] I think, I think Byron's going to take this.
[1:12:18] The floor of yours, Fedida. I I saw, I saw firms, I saw
[1:12:22] firms laughing. The who's against?
[1:12:24] Who's against? Yeah.
[1:12:26] For a way, they have. But no, I mean, I see, I see
[1:12:31] Byron coming out of this one with the win, but where are they
[1:12:34] ranked in? Where are they?
[1:12:36] Ranked in Champions League, yeah, they're not.
[1:12:38] They're not doing too hot right now.
[1:12:39] I think they're around 14th if I had to guess 17th.
[1:12:43] You have 1717 Bayern Munich one spot above Real Madrid.
[1:12:47] Just have to slide that in there.
[1:12:49] PSG 25 and. PSG 25th.
[1:12:51] So this is just honestly, this is an important game, yeah, very
[1:12:54] important. This is an important game for
[1:12:55] both sides, but aside from that, tactically I think these these
[1:12:59] teams match up pretty well. That's going to be a good test
[1:13:01] for both managers. That's that's about it for for
[1:13:05] Byron. Byron, PSG, Like it's kind of
[1:13:08] two irrelevant clubs in my life, to be honest.
[1:13:09] Do you remember the hype this game had?
[1:13:11] This is a Champions League final.
[1:13:13] What's the Champions league final?
[1:13:14] When MAPE and Neymar were playing bro, Now we got to watch
[1:13:16] Kolumwani. And Harry Kane, Yeah.
[1:13:19] So who do you guys think is going to be the decisive factor
[1:13:21] in this game? Is this going to be like a Harry
[1:13:23] Kane Alize situation or? Bro, you see, you, we, we, we,
[1:13:29] the fact that you guys are willing to put Muziala in the
[1:13:32] Yamal conversation or well, not the Yamal conversation, the
[1:13:34] Bellingham conversation and the fact that he wasn't even the
[1:13:36] first name out of Middle East mouth when it's who's it going
[1:13:39] down to? Millie's tired.
[1:13:40] That's why he didn't. Mention Yeah, it's also, it's
[1:13:42] also like Harry Kane is the main man on it.
[1:13:44] He said olise. He said olise before Muziala bro
[1:13:48] it's. A little bit egregious, I mean
[1:13:50] Olise. No, it's not.
[1:13:52] Egregious. That's a Dembele comp right
[1:13:54] there. I think, I think the game comes
[1:13:57] down to Harry Kane. I think it.
[1:13:59] Never has ever come down to Harry.
[1:14:00] Kane Byron CB Duo The Clown The duo of clowns is able to not
[1:14:04] make mistakes this game then. Excuse me, they have.
[1:14:09] They have been killing it in the Bundesliga.
[1:14:11] Once again. In the Bundesliga.
[1:14:13] Means. Nothing to me another playing
[1:14:16] leaguers. So what do you?
[1:14:18] Champions League brother pull out some Champions League
[1:14:20] brother who put McConnell biggest stage Every single time
[1:14:23] it's let me pass straight to the other team striker on the
[1:14:25] breakaway. So I'm going to say 20.
[1:14:28] Bayern, I'm going to probably go 20.
[1:14:30] Bayern also, I agree. Wow, so.
[1:14:34] Yeah, I don't know why. Don't get your point then, but
[1:14:37] all right. No but I'm saying I'm I said if
[1:14:39] Bayern CB duo the the duo of clowns who always and every big
[1:14:43] moment they always end up screwing it up even
[1:14:46] internationally, if they can not do any mistakes then I think
[1:14:50] Byron win this pretty comfortably.
[1:14:51] I'm gonna say. So I just hope.
[1:14:53] Go ahead, firms. Go ahead, Paula.
[1:14:55] No, you go ahead bro. I was just gonna, I was just
[1:14:58] gonna mention the amount of clean sheets they have.
[1:15:01] I count 1234. Five yeah, generational in the
[1:15:04] Bundesliga means nothing to me. That Kim Upamakan 1 was in
[1:15:08] Champions League by the. Way.
[1:15:09] Oh, so actually, no, that means everything to me.
[1:15:11] They might actually be above bars in my next power rankings.
[1:15:14] Never know bro. You never know anything.
[1:15:17] Anything can happen. I'm going to go 22 Musiala
[1:15:22] Musiala. Kane.
[1:15:24] Vitinia scores for no reason. Vitinia.
[1:15:26] OK that's very dude just randomly scores bro.
[1:15:28] Put a bet booster on that one. OK, what's the next one?
[1:15:31] Also, the fall off of Luis Enrique needs to be studied
[1:15:33] because we're giving him. Fall off, yeah, Ligar, they're
[1:15:38] running away with it like it's not really that's.
[1:15:40] What it's been a successful stint.
[1:15:41] Well, managers like who I am or you weren't able to run away
[1:15:44] with Ligar. Managers like Pochettino weren't
[1:15:46] able to run away with Legarn that much.
[1:15:48] More competitive in Champions League.
[1:15:50] But look, Byron Millie, what's your prediction for Byron PSG?
[1:15:54] I'm gonna go probably 3-1 Byron. I think PSG got on the score
[1:15:58] sheet but Byron kind of pull away near the end of the game.
[1:16:01] Makes sense? All right, so moving on the big
[1:16:04] match of the week Champions League preview, we have Real
[1:16:07] Madrid versus Liverpool. How do we see it going boys?
[1:16:10] This is this is the match of might be the whole draw.
[1:16:13] I'm going, honestly, I'm a Madridista.
[1:16:16] Which do I want to do I speak with my mind or my heart?
[1:16:20] This is the this is the struggle here.
[1:16:23] Speak with whatever one is more logical.
[1:16:26] Neither my balls. I'm going to go Liverpool 21.
[1:16:34] Liverpool have just been too dominant domestically for me in
[1:16:37] the Premier League, supersedes La Liga, so I have.
[1:16:41] To this is probably I would say this is the best match up so far
[1:16:45] in the Champions League. The last five rounds you have
[1:16:47] pretty much the best players in on nearly each position.
[1:16:51] You have the best goalkeepers, Courtois and Allison you have.
[1:16:54] I don't. Know Allison's Allison's facing
[1:16:56] a fitness test last minute. We'll see if he's able to make
[1:16:59] it into the Real Madrid game. Even even Trent.
[1:17:01] Even Trent might not be able to play. 2 dawns. 2 dawns that I
[1:17:06] literally mentioned. I'm leaning more towards
[1:17:09] Liverpool. I think it might actually
[1:17:12] surprise us how good Liverpool will be against Real Madrid.
[1:17:15] I'm, I'm really not banking on that Real Madrid back line.
[1:17:18] I think it's very weak. And yeah, Liverpool's gonna come
[1:17:21] up on top. Maybe A20 win.
[1:17:23] Most solid by the way. 2 is crazy.
[1:17:26] Not even scoring is crazy when Southampton were able to put 2
[1:17:29] past them. Wow.
[1:17:30] But. And bape, no dibbling maybe.
[1:17:34] About to try to score Armstrong. Yes and Boppe no.
[1:17:38] I'm not letting this be a clean sheet fellas.
[1:17:40] This is I'm going Real Madrid here 2/1.
[1:17:43] I'm saying 22. I think this is I think the
[1:17:45] sport. The thing is, Arne Slot, no, he
[1:17:48] does let himself get scored on. I'm going to say Tutu.
[1:17:50] This is Trent's Madrid auction audition audition show.
[1:17:54] Yeah, exactly, Exactly. Is it at the Madrid or is in
[1:17:59] Liverpool? I I would need to check that.
[1:18:00] But Liverpool, it's in Liverpool.
[1:18:02] OK. Yeah.
[1:18:02] So it's going to be all the Madrid fans are going to be
[1:18:05] watching Trent being like, this is my feature right back.
[1:18:07] So I think he's going to pull out a master class on my FPL
[1:18:10] team. By the way, he's going to pull
[1:18:11] out a master class. So what happens if Trent gets on
[1:18:16] and gets a standing ovation from the Madridistas when he gets
[1:18:19] subbed off? Is that like a conferment
[1:18:22] official? Is it?
[1:18:24] So that's all I'm saying. What if he goes?
[1:18:27] What happens? What happens if he goes up to
[1:18:28] the Madrid fence? Like wanker, wanker wanker.
[1:18:31] And there goes 100 million years, there goes your wages.
[1:18:35] But everything I know, I know we did a lot of tactical talk about
[1:18:39] it, but let's let's do a little bit more tactical talk about
[1:18:41] this game. How does it, how does it
[1:18:42] actually I started from Wanka, wanka, Wanka.
[1:18:45] How does how do these two teams face offers each other?
[1:18:47] I know firms mentioned the defense of Real Madrid.
[1:18:49] I think the main point is going to be Vinny versus Trent.
[1:18:52] I think that's going to open up the entire game because, I mean,
[1:18:55] you have the best right back in the world who hopefully plays.
[1:18:58] Defensively, though, he didn't pass the cloud test, so.
[1:19:01] Who's? Who's going to say he's going to
[1:19:02] pass? He's Loki not been as as
[1:19:04] horrendous under Sloth as he was under Clop.
[1:19:07] But I I think that's a slight konate tax.
[1:19:10] I think we're really going to see an Mbappe like go sesh like
[1:19:13] Van Dyke and Konate. You are not seeing anything from
[1:19:16] Mbappe sadly. So my.
[1:19:17] Money. I'm slamming my entire account
[1:19:20] on Mbappe Coal after this has been said and agreed by firms, I
[1:19:25] am saying Mbappe Mbappe brace actually, yeah.
[1:19:28] Thanks for your. Money I.
[1:19:30] I have the option to hedge, I could follow you on that bet and
[1:19:33] if that doesn't happen then I just lose money.
[1:19:35] But I win because I have ball knowledge basically.
[1:19:39] You win with ball knowledge. Interesting.
[1:19:42] Very tactical fellows. Very very but loving it.
[1:19:46] Have you guys seen most solid stats recently?
[1:19:48] I mean whoever, whoever. Real Madrid having defense are
[1:19:51] not stopping this brother, I guarantee you that.
[1:19:54] Well, I mean. That's the thing, Real Madrid.
[1:19:56] Real Madrid versus like head to head with Liverpool in the faces
[1:20:00] of the like of the team. You could argue maybe goalkeeper
[1:20:05] or midfield, like Real Madrid kind of win that.
[1:20:07] But Liverpool? Like they will 100% win the
[1:20:11] defensive battle and it's. Yeah, but midfield, midfield,
[1:20:15] you got to give it to Real Madrid.
[1:20:17] I mean, Grav, Gravin, Birch, if you start McAllister, if you
[1:20:21] start Curtis Jones, it really doesn't matter.
[1:20:22] I think he's still Yeah, yeah, you can't.
[1:20:25] You got to give it to Real Madrid.
[1:20:26] But look, Bellium starting to pick up form.
[1:20:28] Vinicius is starting to pick up form.
[1:20:30] They're all starting to pick up form at the right time.
[1:20:32] Arde Guler got an assist against Laganes also so.
[1:20:36] Well, yeah, he's been, he's been.
[1:20:37] They've been rotting him on the bench, which is it's nice to see
[1:20:39] him play because I'm a Turkey fan.
[1:20:40] Shout out Turkey, shout out all my Turkish goats.
[1:20:43] Valaverde, Man of the Match must be said.
[1:20:45] Yeah, captain too. First time he ever wore the
[1:20:47] captain armband for Real Madrid, I believe.
[1:20:49] And he called it one of the one of his biggest honors in his
[1:20:52] life. So he.
[1:20:53] Loves the badge. Yeah, Valaverde loves the badge,
[1:20:56] but we will see Mosala versus Garcia.
[1:20:58] That's going to be an interesting an interesting match
[1:21:00] up there. Spend my condolences to get
[1:21:04] here. And I just realized why Gagpo
[1:21:06] because I haven't been FPLI just realized why he started because
[1:21:09] because with Diaz is going to be.
[1:21:11] FPL we're starting to get a bit tricky now because there's some
[1:21:13] midweek fixtures in CL, there's the schedule starting to get
[1:21:16] packed. So all these players that low
[1:21:18] key have rotation options, they're just are looking when
[1:21:21] they you're starting. To see the opposite rotation
[1:21:23] exactly now like Gagpo is because it's Southampton.
[1:21:26] But anyway, so I guess that's the week in football, boys.
[1:21:29] I don't want to keep you for too much longer.
[1:21:31] You guys are going to see the sun.
[1:21:32] You guys are going to see the sunrise soon.
