[0:00] Welcome back to the Boxer Box podcast.
[0:02] This is episode 38 and today we're going to be determining
[0:04] which player has been having the best season so.
[0:06] Far most Salah has been on fire this season.
[0:09] Let's see if he makes it deep in the bracket.
[0:11] Or Will Young players like La Minamal or Vinnie Junior beat
[0:14] him to it? All that and more on the Boxer
[0:16] Box podcast. Let's.
[0:18] Go. You ain't going home your.
[0:19] Honor I'm. Sorry.
[0:22] Your Honor, I'm sorry we don't compete with City.
[0:26] This is a failure of a season. I can already.
[0:29] Tell you, I'll tell you in advance, you failed.
[0:31] I'm going to take central midfielder Federico Valverde.
[0:36] What? Yeah, no, that he.
[0:38] Is the worst midfielder for Real Madrid this season?
[0:41] That's like. That's like saying Neymar was
[0:44] the worst player in MSN. Gentlemen, this is the last
[0:51] podcast from Box of Box before the new year, before 2025.
[0:54] How we feeling about that? It's been an amazing year.
[0:57] I mean, we can look back at our year.
[0:58] Let's do like a little bit of a box to box rewind.
[1:01] I think in the last year, a lot of major accomplishments.
[1:05] I mean, we added that silver plaque that we guys see in.
[1:09] The back big hundo K. Yeah, we won a football content
[1:12] award out here where it is. It's also there.
[1:14] This is a. The winner's circle, yeah.
[1:15] That's the 2024 year, so yeah, a bunch of accomplishments.
[1:19] Also, we launched our Patreon when it's.
[1:24] Surprising, like it went, I think it went really, really
[1:27] well. Like, I love the community that
[1:29] we created on there. I didn't think it was gonna get
[1:31] that. Like, I knew it was gonna be
[1:32] good 'cause we wrote box of box. Viewers goaded, yeah, but I
[1:35] think it turned out better than I thought it was.
[1:36] Yeah, and the Discord community is still pumping at an all time
[1:39] high. Which is always, it's always
[1:41] active. So yeah, if you guys actually
[1:43] wanna get involved in the box box community and stuff, there's
[1:46] always that discord, so. We got mods.
[1:48] Now, Yeah, yeah, Patrons, the best way to join.
[1:51] Yeah, what I mean, But exactly? Plus podcast this year too.
[1:53] Yeah, yeah. We launched a podcast also.
[1:56] This year as well, so I think that's helped.
[1:58] In Do we know what month? It was, it was around.
[2:00] Yeah, it was around there because we finished what, What
[2:03] room did we do in 38? This room was built also through
[2:05] April. Yeah.
[2:06] Yeah, 3830. 8 weeks ago, yeah, we haven't.
[2:08] I don't think we haven't missed we.
[2:09] Haven't missed, no. May 7.
[2:11] May 7. Because we I know we did a one
[2:14] or two episodes in between it was.
[2:15] First live stream, yeah. First live stream.
[2:18] This was a big year for boxes of box and if you guys missed it,
[2:21] we also ended the year. We'll give you guys a little bit
[2:23] of a Christmas present. We did a White room video also.
[2:27] So that's like our first like. Well, I don't know if they know
[2:29] the white room term, but yeah, we did a, we call like, we'll
[2:31] call it a big production for us, a big production YouTube.
[2:33] Video so we're gonna officially call it even though we have
[2:37] bangers every week it's a first box to box banger.
[2:39] We need to give it like a, a special term because it is it is
[2:42] somewhat of a special video and we had been planning this video
[2:46] for months. OK, Now there's a bunch of stuff
[2:49] that goes into the video like idea creation.
[2:51] Now guess the club was always something that we wanted to do.
[2:55] It was for months and months on time.
[2:58] So much time was put into this video that we need to come up
[3:02] with a camera crew, which we thankfully we were able to find
[3:06] in Montreal. We had to come up with
[3:07] contestants. We had to come out.
[3:09] There was a bunch of stuff like back end that needed to get
[3:12] done, but I'm happy we're. Just four.
[3:14] We're just four guys. Yeah, yeah, we're just, we're
[3:16] just four guys that came into this just wanting to talk about
[3:19] football. And then now we're out here
[3:20] finding audio guys, video crews and contestants and recording
[3:25] spaces. Yeah, that that was the big one.
[3:27] Steven Small stuff like little BTS, like you gotta get lunch.
[3:30] You gotta get lunch for people. They gotta eat like, like all
[3:33] these small things that we were not used to putting together.
[3:35] We're not event planners. Yeah, exactly.
[3:37] And usually like our, our regular production is just US 4,
[3:39] you know, but something like this was like a labor of love
[3:41] and a lot of planning went into it.
[3:43] And the, the fact that we just got the video out, it was such a
[3:47] great feeling to get that video out for everyone to watch.
[3:51] So the reception has been great. People have been loving it.
[3:54] Even people that we know in our, in our own circles have been
[3:56] saying like it's one of our best videos we've ever done.
[3:58] So listen, we love the support you guys have been showing us,
[4:01] especially this year and like we couldn't be where we are without
[4:04] you guys and. There was so many, so many
[4:06] moving pieces, and I'm glad that everything went smooth, like we
[4:09] just went to record. No hiccups or nothing and eight
[4:13] hours or 12 hours, nothing. Catastrophic.
[4:14] Yeah, exactly. But it's also good to see that
[4:18] we can do that. We can like, it's like a
[4:19] football player, like he moves to the Prem, like you have
[4:22] questions, Casey, can he, can he be good in the.
[4:23] Prem do it on a ring of names. Exactly.
[4:25] And and well, I don't know, like we we did, we played in the
[4:28] Prem, we played our first Prem game, but now it's about our
[4:31] debut and stop moving yourself in the Prem.
[4:33] So we had a decent debut. Yes, yes, but I like I like that
[4:37] we have a we have a high ceiling.
[4:38] That makes sense. I got yeah.
[4:40] Well, what's good is that we set the bar for ourselves pretty
[4:42] high. Like we we knew like even since
[4:45] we started the channel was like we wouldn't put out work that we
[4:48] weren't proud of. And that's how we go into every
[4:50] video. So like this was just pushing
[4:52] the bar, pushing the standard even further.
[4:54] So like cheers to a very successful 2025 as well.
[4:58] Like we're hoping to get more videos like that out so.
[5:00] Oh yeah, there's, there's a bunch of stuff on our like on
[5:03] the agenda, on our, on our. Itinerary.
[5:06] No, but on our board like on our big.
[5:07] Board, our vision board, Yeah, Vision board for. 2025 there's a
[5:11] lot of stuff coming up so that might work bro.
[5:13] Vision boards. Girls tell me they're making
[5:15] vision boards. It's it's like it's a girl's
[5:19] version of a calendar, like he's called a calendar.
[5:21] They do this, they keep it in the room and they have all these
[5:23] things photos and listen, I was looking at A at a Instagram Reel
[5:26] and the guy was saying talking about something is not doing it.
[5:29] Thinking about something is not doing it.
[5:31] You know, like all these things are not doing it.
[5:33] You just have to start doing it. Yeah, going you can talk about
[5:35] going to the gym. You can buy all the clothes to
[5:37] go to the gym. But I feel like we live by that
[5:39] motto. Like like we, when I actually
[5:41] didn't even like when you look back at the year, like ohh, like
[5:45] we, we didn't do that much. But then when you actually like
[5:48] look back at it and we explain it like bro, in the last year in
[5:51] 65 days, we did all these stuff that we worked, we worked.
[5:54] In EA Sports, yeah, Which was. EUR, we didn't even.
[5:57] We worked, yeah, it's true. Euro we went to.
[5:59] A Euro game we went to a Real Madrid game like.
[6:02] We on the last calendar. Listen, that the White Room,
[6:05] just like the last thing by the White Room, we, we were in
[6:07] London collecting the football content award.
[6:10] Yeah, we had to get back. I was in final exam.
[6:12] So you guys were were carrying a heavy load.
[6:13] You guys were also still not back in Montreal 'cause you were
[6:16] in Rome. After that got back, put it all
[6:18] together. Yeah.
[6:19] And they made it happen. That was a busy, that was a busy
[6:21] period. Yeah, we made it.
[6:22] Work. Even just the little things,
[6:24] like going to see a fan in Quebec City, you know, like,
[6:26] yeah, that too. That's something that like.
[6:28] Big commitment. Yeah.
[6:30] Honestly was worth it. You know what?
[6:31] I mean, that was a that was a lot of fun little road trip.
[6:34] A little road trip was. Fun.
[6:36] No, we, we honestly was, it's been a wild ride.
[6:38] Like compared to even the year before where we thought like
[6:42] when I remember at the end of 2023 were like, OK, guys, what
[6:44] are our goals for 2024? And it was like hitting 100K
[6:48] doing this type of thing, doing this type of thing.
[6:50] And it was just like, at first you're like, well, it's a
[6:52] daunting task. Like I don't like we could try
[6:54] to get there. Didn't seem believable.
[6:56] Didn't seem like like we're going to need to put in a lot of
[6:58] work. But like everything just falls
[6:59] into place. And honestly, it's not, it's not
[7:01] always. And this is goes for any job, to
[7:04] be honest. It's not always like, oh,
[7:07] everything's going amazing. Oh, we always want to like
[7:10] always want to do everything. And sometimes it's tough, like
[7:13] social. Media is the biggest critic,
[7:15] bro. It's like politics, like the
[7:16] people's perception is all you have to judge your like you can
[7:20] put out something that you're super proud of and the people
[7:22] just don't like it and it's the most disappointing thing.
[7:24] Like when you go on YouTube Studio and you see that your
[7:26] video is 9:50. Yeah, it's the worst ten you
[7:29] just. Gotta keep moving.
[7:30] You just gotta you gotta put your head down and say next
[7:32] week, let's just keep but. As long as we know that we're
[7:34] proud of the content that we make, that means that 'cause we
[7:39] feel very in tune with you guys, the viewers.
[7:40] So if we feel very like connected with you guys, we kind
[7:45] of feel like we are our viewer, if that makes sense.
[7:49] So we understand our view. If we watch a video and we're
[7:51] like, you know, we could do better next week.
[7:53] Like we're, we, we understand that.
[7:56] But if we watch a video and we're like, oh, it might not be
[7:58] performing good, but we know like, oh, this is a good video.
[8:01] Like which video? Which videos don't?
[8:05] There was a video, I think the box of box court video at first
[8:09] didn't do well. I think it was like one of our
[8:11] worst performing videos. But we were like, bro, this is a
[8:13] good video. Like we know this is a good
[8:15] video. It's gonna catch up.
[8:16] Yeah. So then over time it actually
[8:18] caught up and went past all those videos and.
[8:20] People's request to this day. Yeah, still box of box.
[8:23] Court, we'll be we'll be watching a random TikTok.
[8:26] I want a court video, yeah. Where's that box of box court
[8:29] video? Yeah, that was our first
[8:31] honesty. If you think about it, that was
[8:32] the first. Election.
[8:33] Yeah, that was like. Much of A disaster that was
[8:35] setting up the lighting and lighting.
[8:37] We were ready for it. Five different shots.
[8:39] Now ready. We didn't have a a whole
[8:41] production team and an audio team.
[8:43] We were the production team, we were the audio team, iPhones,
[8:46] brother, iPhone. Yeah, crazy, the monster,
[8:49] monster year. And just before we get into the
[8:51] real like guys, what do you think was like what?
[8:53] What was your favorite video of 2024?
[8:55] Do you guys have? I know we all love our videos,
[8:58] but is there one that you think about?
[9:00] You're like, I mean, that was. Are there in the white room?
[9:02] Yeah, besides the white room, okay, because the white room now
[9:05] is probably is probably my favorite.
[9:07] For me, court was up there. Yeah, but boxes, I love doing
[9:10] the boxes there. Boxes are fun.
[9:11] Boxes was cool. Yeah, the boxes were in.
[9:15] They were pretty cool 'cause it's like an event, it's like
[9:16] we're creating our own year. Lalondor own Balondor.
[9:19] The photo shoot outside with the car, yeah, suits.
[9:22] That was funny. Oh, that was so.
[9:23] Cool, that was fun. But I'd say my like my favorite
[9:26] that didn't do well, which I really thought would do well was
[9:28] the two V2 FC 25 the the building.
[9:31] That was on. Video guys got the thing.
[9:33] Yeah, you wear the thing. And we were.
[9:34] That was cool. It was so funny when you guys
[9:36] guessed every single one of our players and me and firms were
[9:40] burnt out. I think it actually ended up
[9:41] catching up to the rest of the video really.
[9:43] If I'm not, I'm disappointed. It's not like 130 I think or a.
[9:46] 140 like. It was a slow burn, a slow burn,
[9:49] but that video was a fun video to do.
[9:52] I'd say, I'd say the rebuild, the rebuild just because the
[9:54] process like the way we were thinking about them, we were
[9:56] like we need something about squad building, but we also need
[10:00] a little bit of an auction type vibe to.
[10:02] It I was like trying to find it together and.
[10:04] We we found this perfect formula and honestly we thought it was a
[10:07] hit right away. The The funny thing is that we
[10:10] kind of get the idea like that. That's what I mean when we're in
[10:15] tune with the community, when we release a video, we kind of know
[10:17] how it's going to perform a bit before.
[10:19] Like we know that the when we were releasing the rebuilds, we
[10:22] were like. Oh, Manchester United rebuild.
[10:24] It's going to hit. This is going to hit.
[10:26] And then it ended up like, I don't know how much it's at now.
[10:28] I think it's like almost 400 K, Yeah.
[10:30] The bars are rebuild. That's yeah, that was right
[10:32] there. Triple platinum.
[10:33] And now they got the now they got the Man City rebuild.
[10:35] Man United rebuild did better than.
[10:39] Well, that was the first video. That's why so.
[10:41] Marcel Rebuild will keep catching up.
[10:43] Yeah, Marcel Rebuild was catching up.
[10:44] Anyway, that was a fun ride enough.
[10:46] Blazing and generational blazing, yeah, but yeah, I know.
[10:49] Thank you. That's all you guys though.
[10:50] Like at the end of the day, we're talking about this, but if
[10:52] we were releasing it to no one, then there.
[10:54] Have nothing to talk about there.
[10:56] Would be no point of doing this so so thank you guys and
[10:58] hopefully you stay for 2025 because it's gonna be even even
[11:01] better and even bigger yeah sure but now.
[11:04] Let's get into that. The reason why they actually
[11:06] came the. Reason why they came.
[11:07] This is a 1616 man. Yeah, this is a 16 man bracket
[11:11] of who we think is the best player of this season so far.
[11:16] Boys, we can start anywhere. We've seeded all the players so
[11:19] it should all make sense. From 1 to 16.
[11:20] Do we start with one one in 16 or do we start somewhere else we
[11:24] could go down? One in 16 is easy.
[11:26] Yeah, I think one in 16 is like a little.
[11:28] OK, let's do a warm up. Saka Lewandowski, it's it.
[11:32] Because the issue if they're listening on the audio, they
[11:34] kind of want to follow the bracket.
[11:36] They don't want to like you can't go like he's top left,
[11:41] top, right, bottom, left, top they're.
[11:43] Going to remember who's on which corner.
[11:44] Audio listeners where these brothers got 180 IQI.
[11:47] Don't know. They're mapping out this stuff
[11:49] anyway. We can start with the top left
[11:50] if you like. So Salah.
[11:53] Versus Yokoresh, I mean. Seed one versus seed. 16 This
[11:56] one let's make your I think this one's going to be relative
[11:59] relatively quick, even though Yokoresh, if he kept up with
[12:02] that pace from before Amarim got left Loki could have been a
[12:07] conversation, but. Let's not, let's not put your.
[12:10] Conversation. I think you would have been a
[12:11] higher seed. Yeah, you would have been a
[12:13] higher seed. But one V1V16, it's, it's always
[12:16] gonna be a David versus Goliath situation here.
[12:18] But Sala, it's tough to think of another player that's been
[12:22] better than him this season. There are definitely very, very
[12:26] good players on this bracket. But Salah versus Gokularsh, I
[12:28] think you have to go Salah on this. 1:00 We we were speaking
[12:30] briefly before the podcast how I said, I think that Slot is using
[12:36] Salah better than Klopp was in the last like two seasons before
[12:39] he left because he he kind of like started out.
[12:42] It's kind of like Inzaghi Kante, like weird comparison, but
[12:45] Inzaghi kind of put the Conte system in at Inter when he came
[12:48] and he took over Conte's team and then slowly, slowly started
[12:51] making its own Arne slot took Clop system.
[12:53] He just started. He kind of just used that
[12:55] blueprint slowly, slowly found his new wave and now Trent.
[12:58] And like Trent and Sal on that right side, I think they're
[13:00] being absolutely maximized. Barbara said it best, like Sal's
[13:05] maximizing those one V ones and that's what he's getting every
[13:07] single game. It's crazy.
[13:08] I don't know, you can't patch it.
[13:09] He's he's inevitable every game you know he's going to assist,
[13:12] he's going to score and he's been the main guy and obviously
[13:15] he's tipped for the bound door right now.
[13:17] I think this is an easy Sala but Yakersh has been having an
[13:19] insane season. And I'm interested to see
[13:22] Gilkadesh cause inevitably he's going to move this summer.
[13:24] Sporting can't risk another year because right now not going to
[13:29] cap. He's kind of depreciating in
[13:31] value. Like he he, he's not.
[13:34] I think post Amarim, if you, if you keep up this, this streak of
[13:38] Gilkadesh not scoring as much as he did under Amarim, questions
[13:42] are going to get asked of maybe is he a system player?
[13:44] I think big clubs are still willing to take that risk right
[13:46] now. But you have another six months
[13:49] of him scoring at a OK rate. Nothing special.
[13:53] Questions might be asked. It is also true that his
[13:55] standards were so high because the brother was scoring like 2A
[13:57] game like. Holland again at Southburg
[13:59] levels, yeah, but I mean. He's still doing all right.
[14:01] He has. He has four goals in his last
[14:02] five. Like.
[14:03] It's a it's a good rate, but it's not like the rate where
[14:06] sporting could go and ask for 9080 million.
[14:08] Yeah. No, it was.
[14:09] It's I think it peaked when it was sporting versus city.
[14:13] Yeah, the Champions match. That was like put everyone on
[14:16] notice about that, but then obviously that was Amarim last
[14:18] game, so unfortunately the last game.
[14:21] Well. 2nd last game I think was last game at home.
[14:23] Could it be? Last champions game, Last
[14:24] champions. Game last home game so
[14:27] definitely did not help. Yoga is after that.
[14:29] But I think, I think the consensus here is solemn.
[14:32] Definitely. So top left of the bracket silo
[14:34] makes it through to the quarterfinals.
[14:35] Right beneath that we have Harry Kane versus Trent Alexander
[14:38] Arnold. This is the mash up of England
[14:41] Dons. This one's a tough one, right?
[14:42] Because there are two different positions and there's some of
[14:46] the best at their positions. So it's it's very tough to have
[14:50] the eighth seed in the ninth you.
[14:51] Could argue the best at their positions.
[14:53] It's very yes, at least this season.
[14:55] Yeah, Harry Kane, 20 games in 20/20/20 games this season, 20
[15:00] goals, 7 assists. Goodness.
[15:02] Very insane numbers. And that's a normal season for
[15:04] Kane. He's been doing it for what, 10
[15:06] years now? Quietly, quietly being one of
[15:08] the best trackers in the. World.
[15:09] Yeah, of all time. Of all time.
[15:11] If we're being for real once against this Bundesliga this
[15:13] year. Just needs a trophy here and
[15:15] there. Once he gets the Bundesliga this
[15:17] year, bro, there's no more. He doesn't have a major trophy,
[15:19] even though you could argue that the Bundesliga kind of not is
[15:23] not like he he kind of copped out by going to Byronovich.
[15:27] You could argue, but. It had to be done.
[15:30] It had to be done. You can't you?
[15:31] Someone with his with someone with his resume cannot end his
[15:36] career Trophy. He's by far the best player of
[15:39] all time. That was trophy list.
[15:40] Well, listen. Well, no trophy like he's won an
[15:42] Audi. Cup.
[15:43] No, he's won nothing. But those are.
[15:44] Team awards, Individual awards for him probably mean a lot more
[15:47] because he's he's won a top goal scorer Golden Boots.
[15:50] Premier League here. But like really, when, when
[15:53] we're old and we have Gray hair and there's a new box of box on
[15:56] the on TikTok and they're doing a rank em or doing icon hero or
[15:59] nothing and the the Varvar of the next generation is gonna be
[16:03] saying. This brother, this.
[16:05] Brother only has personal awards.
[16:06] He doesn't have any team awards. He's not going to get the
[16:08] recognition he deserves because like, it's like Etto.
[16:11] Etto had millions and millions of personal.
[16:13] Awards team. Awards Team.
[16:14] Awards. Sorry, team awards the back
[16:15] trebles but. I'd say like a Totti maybe Totti
[16:18] doesn't have. Well actually he has a lot of
[16:20] individual awards but not team awards.
[16:23] Cut. He played Aroma.
[16:23] But he won a Scudetto, no? He did a couple, but you.
[16:26] Need a balance. You need a balance to be
[16:28] regarded as one of the. Great.
[16:29] He was lucky because he won that Scudetto pretty early on in his
[16:32] career. Or not early on, but like 2000
[16:34] he didn't drag on like Harry Kane.
[16:37] So those those he could justify staying at at Roma in the the
[16:42] years like 2008, 2009, 2010 because he already had that
[16:47] Scudeto in the bags. Yeah.
[16:48] He's also like when you're a legend in Rome.
[16:51] Bro if Harry Kane for Tottenham. No, no, no.
[16:54] He's a legend. Bro, you're not getting married.
[16:56] You're not getting married and the entire city of shuts down.
[16:59] The whole City of London is outside of your wedding.
[17:01] Bro, have you ever seen pictures of Totti's wedding?
[17:03] They thousands and thousands of people throwing rice at him as
[17:06] he walks out. But then he got cheated.
[17:07] On OK, now there's a second. There's a second side of this
[17:12] coin. Trent Alexander Arnold, brother,
[17:15] This guy's special. That's right, back in the world.
[17:17] Oh, not right now for close. That's not even close the.
[17:20] Rejuvenation train has left the station in Advano because it's
[17:22] very you don't have to look far back for people to say, MMM, is
[17:26] Trent washed? Oh, what's happening here?
[17:28] What's happening there with Trent?
[17:29] So the fact that he's back to arguably even better for him,
[17:33] it's I. Don't know bro.
[17:35] Rejuvenation. Rejuvenation.
[17:36] I don't know bro. It's not his best season ever,
[17:38] though. It's not but that still makes
[17:42] but for me Trent is by far the best right back in the world.
[17:44] OK so even a mid season for Trent is still like this season
[17:49] would probably be most right backs best ever seasons.
[17:52] Could be but like I mean. I know, but there's bars like
[17:56] for Kane as well. Yeah, this will be a lot of
[17:58] strikers. Best ever seasons.
[17:59] Exactly. So this is actually the most
[18:02] difficult one, around the 16 I think.
[18:04] I'm I'm low key, I'm low key. Look, Trent has been good, but I
[18:08] think Kane edges. Here I'm more for Kane as well.
[18:10] But Trent, brother, if whoever, if he resigns at Liverpool, if
[18:15] he resigns at Madrid, you're getting a generational talent.
[18:19] He's actually a generational talent.
[18:21] We've never seen a passing like that from a fullback.
[18:23] Oh, for sure. He it's actually, it's, it's
[18:27] scary how good he is passing him like he's a one man creator,
[18:31] like it's, it's actually ridiculous.
[18:33] But Hurricane, too. Hurricane has the I mean, I
[18:37] think he's less playmaking this season.
[18:38] At the beginning of the season, he was dropping so deep.
[18:40] Remember, we were having like we were seeing him in the midfield.
[18:42] But I'm going to go with Kane as well.
[18:44] You can't deny the stats. Yeah, you just can't.
[18:46] I'll I'll give Trent the consolation vote just so it's
[18:48] not he deserves a vote. He definitely deserves one vote,
[18:51] at least two votes. But Harry Kane is through to the
[18:54] quarter finals. He'll be facing most Salah when
[18:57] we get there, gentlemen. The next you got, you got you
[19:01] got the next one, gentlemen. Cole Palmer versus at Athenia
[19:05] 2024 Who's been the better player?
[19:07] Damn, that's a tough question. Last one was difficult.
[19:12] I think this is the most difficult one in the bracket.
[19:16] Though I'm ready to give my answer, I I'm saying Cole Palmer
[19:19] has been a better player than Rafina in the last year.
[19:21] I'm not sure, Varvara, if you think about it, Rafina has been
[19:24] the better player for Barcelona and although Cole Palmer has
[19:27] been good for Chelsea, I think Kaisetto has been slightly.
[19:29] Better you put you put Cole Palmer in that Barcelona team.
[19:32] And that's a complete lie by the way.
[19:34] You put Cole Palmer in that Barcelona team, he's putting up
[19:38] way better stats than Ruffinia. I'm sorry.
[19:40] That's a hypothetical, though. The hypothetical is that
[19:42] Ruffinia was in the Prem and didn't put up nearly as good as
[19:44] stats as as. But that was we're looking at
[19:47] the passing. Cole Palmer, when he joined
[19:49] Chelsea, they were a 14th place team.
[19:50] So but. But Ruffinia this year has
[19:52] revolution like Flick has revolutionized Ruffinia's
[19:55] abilities, because we see this guy as one of the world class
[19:58] players, and just a year ago he wasn't even those.
[20:00] Sure, the coach revolutionized him, but Cole Palmer literally
[20:03] revolutionized the club. I think it's out of mind, out of
[20:06] sight for you on Rafina. Rafina has over goal involvement
[20:09] in every game in La Liga, has eight goal involvements in six
[20:13] games in Champions League. Rafina is actually having a
[20:15] spectacular season. Spectacular season, amazing
[20:18] player, but Cole Palmer, there's levels to this game.
[20:20] Cole Palmer tried to do something in a big game
[20:21] challenge. Impossible.
[20:23] What would I feel? Being for real, right?
[20:25] Now it's a discussion that must be had cause Rafina has been
[20:28] important in big games for Barcelona.
[20:29] He's been the most important arguably because Lamina mouse
[20:32] been out recently and Rafina just a year ago that people were
[20:35] telling Barca to go sell him and get Nicole Williams.
[20:38] This guy has proven the doubters wrong at every turn this season.
[20:42] I low key give my vote to Rafina.
[20:44] Here. No, this is bull.
[20:45] You know, one, I didn't expect this.
[20:46] No, I'm also saying Rafina, I think he's been better than Cole
[20:49] Palmer this season. It's horrendous, Shout.
[20:51] It's not horrendous, Cole. Palmer has been fantastic,
[20:54] there's no doubt about it, but Rafina, what he's done at
[20:56] Barcelona, you cannot deny that he has taken the reins.
[21:00] Ever since Lavinia Mao would now injured, Barcelona won one game
[21:02] out of 6. That ain't his fault.
[21:04] He's been. Producing.
[21:05] He's been made in the six games. What did he do against Atletico
[21:09] Madrid? Please enlighten me.
[21:11] Well that's cuz bars is shit. That's a different story, if you
[21:13] wanna. If it's a team thing.
[21:14] If you wanna switch to Palmer, gentlemen.
[21:16] Bro, it's called Palmer's the answer here, but whatever you
[21:18] guys you guys they both this is actually borderline stupid.
[21:20] I'm not even gonna lie. They're.
[21:22] Both losing the next round. Palmer definitely deserves to go
[21:25] deeper, definitely deserves to go deeper, but the unfortunate
[21:28] matchup with Rafina? You guys, you guys really, you
[21:32] guys really don't give enough weight to playing in the Prem.
[21:35] Like there's actually a significant gap.
[21:37] No, there's a significant gap between playing in the Prem and
[21:41] playing in La Liga. Champions League, bro.
[21:42] Yeah, Champions League makes a difference, but.
[21:44] Co Palmer's not in Champions League.
[21:45] He doesn't even play in Conference league.
[21:47] To be honest, he doesn't. He's not even registered in
[21:49] Conference League. We took, we take points off for
[21:50] Yokoresh because he doesn't play in the top five league.
[21:53] We, we, we gauge it to the, we gauge it to what you're playing
[21:55] in. You can only play against what
[21:57] you're playing in. Like Raphina played against
[21:59] Champions League teams and put up serious, serious thoughts.
[22:02] So then is. He the Champions League leader
[22:03] right now, whatever goals. Whatever this is, this is very
[22:08] listen, honestly, this is the stupidest.
[22:11] I'm just going to lay it out. This is the stupidest.
[22:12] Who would you say is Barcelona the most the most important
[22:15] player in Barcelona? Right now, let me e-mail while
[22:17] he's injured. OK, so right now, right now.
[22:21] Bro that's not this is about a goal and assist for Real Madrid.
[22:24] Three goals versus buyer. To understand goals, you have to
[22:27] understand Cole Palmer. Crazy doing would do that also.
[22:30] And he doesn't have Laminia Mali, he doesn't have all these
[22:32] other sick players around them, Cole.
[22:33] Palmer would not have scored a hat trick versus Bayern.
[22:34] Munich. Different technical quality.
[22:36] Yeah, but he would have scored four against Laganes, so who
[22:38] cares? No, but I think he doesn't do
[22:40] that. I think he was scoring goals in
[22:41] the game. I.
[22:42] Thought Cole Palmer was known as Ghost Palmer against big.
[22:44] He is, he is. This is a stat that is is proof.
[22:47] Brother. But he has less open play goals
[22:50] than Kai. Haverts, bro.
[22:52] I'm not, I'm Look, you, whatever, we pick Ruffinia.
[22:55] But that's just these are my two favorite players this year.
[22:57] Stupid. That's just stupid.
[22:59] That was the fifth seed, Palmer versus what the 12th seed
[23:02] Ruffinia. So an under underdog story in
[23:06] the round of 16 so far, gentlemen, Let's see who's going
[23:08] to face up against in the quarterfinals.
[23:10] It is the fourth seed, Saka versus the 13th seed,
[23:14] Levandovsky. I think this ones very, yeah.
[23:18] Yeah, this one. Lewandowski, come on.
[23:20] If we had this conversation maybe two months ago or even 3
[23:22] months ago, then. I think Saka would have still,
[23:24] Yeah, you know. But it would have been much more
[23:26] of a conversation, I find. Levandowski The last month or
[23:29] so, two months has been absolutely abysmal.
[23:32] Has gone back down, down, back to Earth.
[23:34] Listen, I could bring up that Pichichi award again multiple
[23:38] times, but unfortunately when I what I see with my own two eyes,
[23:41] brother, he's missing open Nets, he's whiffing on clear chances.
[23:45] I I can't give it to a guy that unfortunately is not at his
[23:48] best, where Saka in the Premier League is arguably top three.
[23:52] Now Paulo's gonna come up with some bullshit that he's the top
[23:54] scorer in La Liga by like 10 goals and we do not give a fuck.
[23:57] Listen, listen, I just looked at this.
[23:59] I'm saying Saka bias will make me say Saka regardless of
[24:01] Lewandowski. That's but Lewandowski stat wise
[24:04] is still having an insane season. 16 goals in La Liga.
[24:07] It's sure, but we have two of these at amount of two.
[24:10] We gotta keep, we gotta keep that energy up when we get to
[24:13] another striker later on. That's what I'm saying.
[24:15] Just just keep that in mind. When you're a striker, goals are
[24:18] your currency. Your currency.
[24:20] Riddle me this. That's a Riddle.
[24:21] That's a 2024 special. No, that's a 2020. 3.
[24:24] Special. That's good thing we left that
[24:26] one in 2020. That one there.
[24:28] But I mean, Lewowski is having a, he's still having a good
[24:31] season. It's just the bar.
[24:32] Like we said for Kane, there's bars for these top players.
[24:36] There is a bar which is your average season Lewandowski is
[24:39] having an average season for Lewandowski standards.
[24:41] Which is crazy because he has so many goals, 12. 13 He has seven
[24:44] and seven goals in six games in Champions League and 16 goals in
[24:47] La Liga in 17. Oh my God. 2nd place for goals
[24:49] in La Liga I think is not even at 10 if I'm not mistaken.
[24:52] Bro, he's the pichichi. Chichi leader bro.
[24:54] Bro Pichi leader, he's a Pichichi Award merchant.
[24:57] Bro That's what I'm calling this is.
[24:59] Going to be tough when we get to the other striker.
[25:00] Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Now I'm thinking about it and
[25:05] it's a tough conversation to have.
[25:06] The very But you know what? Sometimes you got to face
[25:08] reality. 2nd place is Ruffino with 11 and he has 16 and.
[25:11] Ruffino ain't even a striker. That's that's yeah, that's
[25:13] better than Palmer. I'm saying Saka.
[25:17] I'll stick to Saka, but I think I think we're being harsh on
[25:20] Lewandowski. What do you?
[25:21] Mean we're, we're just, we're just giving him, we're just
[25:23] jerking. Him he was not, No.
[25:25] You were the only one. Never, ever, never will.
[25:28] But listen, I think I think Saka's definitely the pick here
[25:31] just based off the season that he said, even with his injury, I
[25:33] think up to that point he was the better player.
[25:35] So Saka is through. He will be facing Graphenia in
[25:38] the quarterfinals. But gentlemen, let's head over
[25:41] to the other side of the bracket where gentlemen, we can you take
[25:44] it away. We got, we got a big, big.
[25:46] Dawn, we start on the top right with number three seed Laminia
[25:49] Mal versus #14 Van Dyke. This is interesting.
[25:53] This is our first defender on the list, while I mean Trent,
[25:55] but this is our first guy that we're not going to be basing
[25:57] goals and assists off of. It's been amazing.
[26:00] But it's not important. You all got injured.
[26:03] It's very difficult, this one. How much did you take off
[26:05] because of that injury? Cuz he hasn't been playing for
[26:07] the last. How many games would you say?
[26:08] 2-3 I think. OK, so it doesn't take that much
[26:10] off and Van Dyke's been like the classic Van Dyke that we know.
[26:15] I don't know, I think this is easy for me, but I'll.
[26:19] This is for me. It's let me get mile easy, but I
[26:22] just want to shout out Virgil Van Dyke because brother, no
[26:25] matter, no matter, I know, but no matter who's been playing in
[26:28] defence with him, because Liverpool defence has been solid
[26:31] this season with injuries. Connate got injured.
[26:34] Trent was injured for a little bit.
[26:36] Connor Bradley even at right back got injured.
[26:38] There was Simicus is injured. Robertson's not playing his
[26:40] best. It seems like the only like
[26:42] constant that's been there since day one up until now is Virgil
[26:46] Van Dyke. Even Allison got injured.
[26:48] That's very true, bro, because I feel like as a defender it's
[26:50] difficult. You want consistency in the in
[26:52] your pairings, in your backline. Yeah, the chemistry.
[26:54] I think he's had two or three different center back.
[26:56] He's well. Kwanzaa started off this, yeah.
[26:58] Kwanzaa started. Yeah, the first game.
[27:00] And then he got yanked at half time.
[27:01] Yeah. So then whatever.
[27:02] But then Konate came in. Konate came in, got injured.
[27:05] Gomez has been there. So he's had three different
[27:07] center back pairings. Pairings, yeah, but still has
[27:11] been a Rolls Royce. And like you said, when you're
[27:13] when you're a center back, your your fullback pairings are also
[27:15] important because you you're you're used to Robertson being
[27:17] open for that pass and then semi cast comes in and he's not used
[27:19] to playing in that role. So I mean, yeah, props to him.
[27:22] But this is Lamin Yamal. However, yeah, Yamal without,
[27:26] without Yamala, Barcelona, it's been looking shaky, so I think
[27:29] I'm going to go Yamala as well, but it's this one's fucking
[27:32] tough. Yeah, I think, I think just
[27:34] because the the thing with Van Dyke is that you know, his
[27:37] caliber so high when it's he's having a bad season, let's say a
[27:40] season or two ago and people still consider him top three in
[27:43] his position. And now he's probably well, he's
[27:47] been the best since what, 2-3 years?
[27:50] Like in the past 2-3 years he's been at the at that level and
[27:53] now people are considering him the best 3.
[27:55] Years bro. Go back even more bro.
[27:57] We're talking about Liverpool. We're in SEAL finals in
[27:59] 20/17/2018. Almost a decade bro.
[28:04] That's why I, I, I, I really struggle with the fact that
[28:07] people, some people get disrespected when you think that
[28:10] Van Dyke is the best in Iraq of all time.
[28:12] I think. It's in and around that
[28:13] conversation. Yeah, I'd say he's one of the
[28:16] best. Yeah, not the best.
[28:17] Like for me, Look, he's. In that here it.
[28:19] Hurts as a Manchester United fan that I have to admit this, but I
[28:23] think he's the best Premier League center back of all time.
[28:25] I'm not even. Better than John Terry, Better
[28:27] than. Real Ferdinand rather than yeah,
[28:29] look, real Ferdinand. For me, my case, no, for me, no.
[28:34] I think, I think it's either real Ferdinand or Virgil Van
[28:36] Dyke because these are center backs.
[28:38] That and John Terry's in a round.
[28:39] Also John. Terry, is that for?
[28:41] John Terry is very good. I'm not going to lie, John
[28:43] Terry, it's because when you're playing at the top, the fine
[28:46] margins are so thin that like, it's just my personal opinion
[28:51] and I'm not going to say this very often, but those three are
[28:54] so they and they want they have everything you want from a
[28:58] defender. They're they're so physically
[29:00] dominant. Technically they're there.
[29:02] It's just you you can't get around them.
[29:05] And, and they were part of such successful teams for so long of
[29:08] the. Legacies.
[29:09] For Defender, that's important. John Terry, bro, John Terry was
[29:12] still winning prems at like 36 years old.
[29:14] Bro, this guy, this guy was a goat first hand, Yeah.
[29:18] Yeah, two seals could be. No, he didn't.
[29:20] He wasn't on the second seal for Chelsea, he wasn't on the most
[29:24] recent one. He only had one.
[29:25] Yeah, no, not the most recent one, the 20. 12 yeah 2012.
[29:28] Oh, so he only had one? Yeah, De Matteo, yeah, but he
[29:30] was old at that point. Yeah, yeah.
[29:31] Well, he wasn't old, but yeah, he was because he still had, he
[29:35] was still there under, he still made it all the way to Conte.
[29:37] I'm pretty sure are. You serious?
[29:39] Yeah, that's crazy. That the Yokohama on the Yeah.
[29:42] That's true. He still made it to Conte.
[29:44] But I mean, we're talking about this season somehow with all the
[29:47] we're talking about all these different center backs and full
[29:49] backs at, at Liverpool. Liverpool is still sitting top
[29:52] of the table in Champions League with one loss.
[29:54] And top of the table. And one goal conceded.
[29:56] Top of the table in Premier League with games in hand too.
[29:58] Yeah, So they they've been dominant unfortunately like Van
[30:02] Dyke legacy wise, if this was a legacy bracket, I think he goes
[30:05] far 100, he goes very far, but. Competing with a 17 year old.
[30:09] Yeah, but Laming Yamal is probably, Varvara has mentioned
[30:12] that before in the past. He's like the most generational
[30:15] 17 year old he's ever seen, so I think.
[30:17] Said that after his like 5th appearance.
[30:19] Yeah. Which that is a crazy.
[30:21] Crazy shot, but he definitely bought the low on that one.
[30:23] But let me Yamal I think is the pick here.
[30:25] The third seed will be going on to the quarterfinals.
[30:28] The next one up, gentlemen, listen, this is when I said keep
[30:31] that energy up with Levandowski because now it's six seed
[30:34] Holland versus 11 seed Musiala. Holland.
[30:37] Unfortunately, not having that somehow stats on the stat sheet,
[30:42] he's having a a very good season, but with Man City's form
[30:46] dipping, it's very tough to say that he's doing well right now.
[30:49] This is an emotional one for me. This is my first pick in the FPL
[30:52] draft this season versus my favorite, I'd say my favorite
[30:56] player in the world right now, Musiala, Jamal Musiala.
[30:58] And I'm gonna, I'm gonna die on the hill.
[31:00] Even if Musiala falls off, I'm gonna stay Musiala hive.
[31:04] Musiala is having an insane season.
[31:05] He's still 21. He's gonna be 22 in February.
[31:08] I think so. The face of Byron still.
[31:09] Calling him the best you 21. But yeah, Byron is working on
[31:13] his contract renewal so that I think they see him as like a the
[31:16] pillar, the pillar of the team. Loki, if you look, if you look
[31:20] into Byron's contract situations, I don't know if you
[31:22] guys have deep. They're looking good.
[31:23] It's really not looking good. They're paying a lot, a lot of.
[31:25] Alfonso Davies and signing up this summer.
[31:27] I think Musial is up next summer.
[31:29] I think Kim Itch is his contract's going down.
[31:32] Also, Byron's contracts are actually horrendous and if you.
[31:37] Look at the top earners like Mueller or Nabri.
[31:40] They earn a lot of money, like insane amount.
[31:43] So Musial is not going to say I'm not.
[31:45] I'm not accepting less money the Mueller.
[31:46] No, it's possible. But Mueller's gonna be out, so
[31:48] then that wage gets opened up. It's.
[31:50] Not out anytime. They're gonna be resigning newer
[31:51] too as well, so. That's another big question
[31:54] mark. You can't, yeah, but Bayern are
[31:56] like one of those clubs that you can't let go in newer.
[31:57] Yeah, but that's what I like about for these two.
[32:00] Loki Highlands reinforcing that. And we kind of said this that
[32:04] it, I think almost every single player in world football right
[32:08] now is low key assistant player. There's a couple like magicians
[32:11] like I think Laminia Mal is not a system player and I think low
[32:14] key. Musiala is not a system player.
[32:17] I'd say like he. Does it for Germany and he does.
[32:19] Palmer, Rafina. They're not system players.
[32:21] Cuz the issue with for me players like Musiala and I think
[32:26] my vote will actually go to Musiala on this one because
[32:29] Holland actually has been that bad this season and it's crazy
[32:32] to say he's been that bad and he's still leading the the
[32:34] golden. But this is this.
[32:35] But it's the same thing with. These are the goals from the
[32:37] past. Yes, these are.
[32:38] Patricks versus Southampton from.
[32:41] The but like but like looking at players like Holland and Bape,
[32:45] all these players that have off seasons, it really makes you
[32:50] appreciate the generation that we had like Neymar.
[32:53] Neymar didn't have off seasons. He might have gotten injured,
[32:56] but he never had off seasons where even if his team was
[32:59] playing like garbage, he would single handedly will his team
[33:03] into his game. There's no.
[33:04] Season where you said to Neymar I'm doubting him now yes whereas
[33:08] right now we're seeing it with with Mbappe who's not even on
[33:10] this list which is crazy I. Was just, I was just looking at
[33:12] the list and I just looked at my bappe's tasks.
[33:14] I'm like. I don't think he deserves I.
[33:16] Don't think I think you would just be putting him for his
[33:18] name. Yeah, and same thing with
[33:19] Holland. I mean, right now we all know
[33:21] he's a great striker and he's probably going to finish with 25
[33:23] the goals, but right now he's not leading Man City nowhere.
[33:26] He's not scoring goals, which is his main thing.
[33:29] So what is he? Penalties.
[33:30] Now he's missing penalties too. So that's why this is what
[33:33] separates a real like Alzheimer from a really great striker like
[33:39] like. But you couldn't have said that
[33:41] with Holland. Two seasons, yeah, that's a Man
[33:43] City. You're telling me what he did.
[33:45] You're going to say he's a great striker but not an all time.
[33:47] I need to see what he does next season, the difference.
[33:50] Between Holland and let's say like I'll just use Harry Kane
[33:55] because we spoke about him before, Holland will.
[33:58] Holland doesn't will his team into games.
[34:01] Like if his team doesn't play well, Holland is not playing
[34:03] well. Harry Kane when he was at Spurs,
[34:05] when they were playing well, he put them into games like he
[34:09] would single handedly. Sorry, that's being with Spurs,
[34:13] that's it's different. Honestly Holland, I don't think
[34:16] Spurs ever had to run as bad as this Man City team.
[34:19] Yeah, it's such a specific situation.
[34:21] I'm just saying like good players, it's harder to
[34:23] influence. It's harder to change the form
[34:24] of a good of a very good team, even if you're a good player.
[34:27] But like a Spurs, which are, I mean they're not a shit team,
[34:30] but it's easier to change the fate of a of a Spurs.
[34:33] Game yeah, but my issue with Holland is that if his team's
[34:36] not playing well, he's not playing well.
[34:37] There's never instances where he's playing well and his team's
[34:39] not playing well, but I. Know but like, imagine Holland
[34:42] was on like. Like if Holland was on
[34:45] Barcelona, he'd have like 20 goals already.
[34:48] It's too easy. To defend him there, there's
[34:50] stats like this guy has touched the ball less than like 100
[34:53] times in the last like 13 games or something like that combined.
[34:55] But that's his. That's his system.
[34:56] Like the system doesn't allow. Him to get, I think he's just
[34:58] also his playstyle, like he's not that guy to come and link up
[35:01] with you. I agree just the poacher.
[35:02] There's also like there's a balance bro.
[35:05] Like like if your playstyle obviously is not working, change
[35:09] something up. I don't think he has.
[35:10] I don't think Pep allows allows changing like freedom.
[35:14] Training there. Terry already spoke about this
[35:16] and he spoke about this on post game analysis.
[35:19] The big game players sometimes. Have to switch up.
[35:22] You just don't listen to the coach and you just you take the
[35:25] ball, you take the game by the balls.
[35:27] It's easy as a winger game, as like a winger, it's easier to do
[35:30] that. Terry already played a lot at
[35:31] striker, bro. It's it's, it's I'm better than
[35:35] these guys and I'm just going to, I'm just going to figure it
[35:37] out. How and can bro he he doesn't
[35:39] like you need you need to be good on the ball and you need to
[35:41] have good passing to be able to influence like a Debala like
[35:44] Debala can take a game by the balls.
[35:46] Holland, Kent, he just doesn't have the skill set to do that.
[35:48] Like a hold up striker, like what can you really do?
[35:51] But then are you really that great though the levels that we
[35:55] imagine it like a full back. A full back can take the game
[35:57] like that. A goalie can take.
[36:00] Trent can. Trent can.
[36:01] I don't think he really can. Yes, he can.
[36:03] Trent can single handle. Yeah.
[36:05] But a striker, you're supposed to kind of lead the lines.
[36:07] But what can what can you do? You can make opening runs maybe,
[36:10] but that's off ball like. What can you do?
[36:12] What I'm thinking, like what I'm realizing when watching Holland,
[36:15] is it makes me appreciate someone like Ibrahimovic more.
[36:17] Because Ibrahimovic, no matter the game, he would switch up.
[36:20] He'd be the the guy running in behind or the guy linking up
[36:22] with you. Holland doesn't do that.
[36:24] He. Just sticks just do more than
[36:26] just wait for the ball. I think it's fortunately he's
[36:28] not a complete striker, that's all it is.
[36:30] That's that's what Mourinho said.
[36:31] To be the best strikers in the world, you need to have three
[36:34] things. You need to have insanely good
[36:36] finishing. Yeah, you need to have insane
[36:37] hold up and you need to have dribbling.
[36:39] Sadly, Holland does not have all three of those facets.
[36:42] What? Which one does he have?
[36:44] He doesn't have dribbling well, that's for sure.
[36:45] He doesn't have dribbling and hold the play honestly is hold
[36:48] the play hasn't been that good for a.
[36:49] Long time blovich has better hold so.
[36:52] He's Loki turning into a were Loki getting the answer of what
[36:55] would have Lavitch look at Man City.
[36:57] No, Lavich. Actually, right now, Vlavich.
[37:00] I think he's a good finisher. That's all he is, no?
[37:02] He's he's very good. A hold up.
[37:03] He's insane. He's a better hold.
[37:04] Up in Syria, put that context onto it.
[37:07] Bro, he's he's a physical. He's a physical.
[37:09] He's not better a hold up than Holland, but whatever.
[37:11] Yeah, you want to, if you want to, if you want to believe that,
[37:14] whatever. You can believe that.
[37:15] Bro me and Jesus have this bro. You just shut up, you you.
[37:19] It puts into context that like all the Manchester United were
[37:25] obviously shopping for number nines a player like Alexander
[37:28] Isaac, even though it might sound like he's not like 120 mil
[37:31] or 110 mil that Newcastle may be quoting, he's located the only
[37:35] striker prospect in the world that has all three.
[37:36] I may I made a an argument for him to be on this list.
[37:39] He's not on the list. I think he low key could have
[37:41] been in the top 16 this year so far, but well, we'll get to #15
[37:46] I don't know why he's there over over exact.
[37:50] Oh yeah, that's crazy. But I don't know how.
[37:51] That's crazy. That's ridiculous.
[37:54] A player like Alexander Isaac has all three of those
[37:56] attributes. Listen bro, like like Bruce Lee
[37:58] once said, but I'd rather there we go.
[38:00] I'd rather fight a man that's practice one move.
[38:02] No, I'd rather fight a man that's practice quotes 99 moves
[38:05] one time. No, I'd rather fight a man.
[38:07] I'd I'd rather fight a man. That's practice.
[38:09] But that's not what he said. But yeah, we're so misquoting
[38:12] him producing. Get the quote I.
[38:14] Think it's I think it's I scare. I'm more scared of a man that
[38:17] has practiced one move 99 times than a man that's practiced 99
[38:21] moves one time. Exactly, that's and Isaac's
[38:22] practiced 3 moves one time no instead of Holland 11 no three
[38:26] times. No, I disagree.
[38:28] But whatever for Musiala. I mean, we're going to speak
[38:31] about him in future rounds. I do think I'm Musiala.
[38:33] He's going to move on, I think. We're going with Musiala then.
[38:35] That's another, that's the second, I think the second lower
[38:39] seed that makes it through. Yeah.
[38:41] So Musiala is through. He's going to be facing La
[38:43] Minamal in that quarterfinal. The next match up up is
[38:46] Bellingham versus Verts Seed 7 versus C10 Gentlemen.
[38:52] So it's tough. So basically, if you had to
[38:58] build a team today, which one would you rather, Florian Verts
[39:00] or Jude Bellingham? I can confidently say I want
[39:03] Jude Bellingham on my team. I think he does more.
[39:06] Leadership wise, I think he offers me more.
[39:09] He's hybrid. I feel like I can put him in
[39:10] multiple positions in the field. I don't think I can put Verts as
[39:13] a as a false 9. I think, I think looking at
[39:16] Verts last season, there's an argument that he's the pick.
[39:19] But Jude Bellingham, what he's done this season for Real
[39:21] Madrid, he's basically played in nearly every phase of the pitch
[39:25] and has lifted that team up even in poor performances.
[39:28] I think my pick here is probably going to be Bellingham.
[39:31] How many players nowadays have on their CV that they got a club
[39:35] like Byron Leverkusen to a league title?
[39:37] That's what I'm saying. Undefeated season as well.
[39:39] Let's not act like that's his. That's like versus complete
[39:42] doing. That's a squad.
[39:43] Brother. But what's his look in the
[39:45] squad? Building it's it's, it's, it's
[39:48] the team is built on him. Like, I think if you put
[39:51] Bellingham in that Leverkusen team, he's not doing the same
[39:53] thing. And a lot of players after they
[39:55] get an ACL tear would easily turned into a shell of
[39:58] themselves and it looked like Verts is even better than he was
[40:01] before, which is insanity. I'm I'm leaning towards verts to
[40:04] be honest. I think he's there's a, there's
[40:07] a, there's a certainties that he's had a better season than
[40:10] Bellingham, both stat wise and just visually.
[40:13] Bellingham, unfortunately he has dropped off a little bit.
[40:15] Verts. Verts has an argument for being
[40:17] the best player in CL this year so far.
[40:19] He died. How many man of the matches?
[40:20] Three man of the matches. He's been insane every game.
[40:23] And we're talking about against Milan, against Liverpool.
[40:27] Liverpool, they lost though. Enter.
[40:30] There was a smaller team in there, but yeah, look.
[40:34] You can't base belling him off. I agree cousin.
[40:36] What if you're going into battle tomorrow?
[40:37] CL final I'm taking Jude Bellingham 100%.
[40:41] Big game I'm taking Jude Bellingham 1,000,000%.
[40:43] But plus he has the the limelight.
[40:45] He's the face of not just England but of Real Madrid as
[40:50] well right now. So I think that the easy choice
[40:52] unfortunately verts. If he was facing anyone else,
[40:55] he's probably my pick. Honestly verts Muziala.
[40:57] I think Warts is my pick. Me too.
[40:58] I'm not even gonna cap. I think warts.
[41:00] Warts has a lot more to his game than Muziala.
[41:03] Name me one. Passing.
[41:05] Passing. Yes, passing.
[41:07] He's a better passer than than. No, he is.
[41:09] Bro. That is the most random.
[41:11] Yeah, Musiala depends a lot more on athleticism than than words.
[41:17] So come age 30, he's bigger. Come age 35, I could easily see
[41:22] words still playing top level football.
[41:24] Meanwhile, Musiala his legs will probably be gone.
[41:27] But Musiala has a higher ceiling because he has the physicality
[41:29] aspect. But once again, Warts is putting
[41:33] up better stats in a shittier team.
[41:35] What are these? What are?
[41:37] Look at player quality. I mean, he doesn't get to play
[41:40] with Harry Kane. And warts is one player that in
[41:42] my opinion fits almost every team in the world.
[41:43] Yes. Whereas Musiala like maybe in AI
[41:45] don't know, Barcelona might not fit as well or I don't know in
[41:49] the Prem. I don't know if you guys agree,
[41:51] but I I see warts fitting in the Cerea in the La Liga and at the
[41:55] top teams obviously. So I'm sticking with words here.
[41:59] No, we're talking about Bellingham verts, not Musiola
[42:00] verts, but Belling, I think, I still think Bell.
[42:02] Words is better than Bellingham this season.
[42:04] That's what I just said. I thought still talking about.
[42:06] I'm still gonna go look. How are we critiquing this?
[42:09] Is this who's better than this season?
[42:11] Yes, this season. This season Loki I'm going to
[42:14] have to go reverts but Bellingham but but Bellingham if
[42:17] I had to pick a team today, I would Loki see Bellingham but.
[42:20] But, but is Real Madrid's form based on Jude Bellingham?
[42:23] No, that there's way more factor.
[42:25] Bellingham is not the the person you blame for how poor Real
[42:28] Madrid's been playing. And honestly, they say poor, but
[42:31] they're what they're first in La Liga right now or second in La
[42:34] Liga. They're second in La Liga. 2nd
[42:36] in La Liga, like their Champions League form hasn't been great.
[42:38] But I don't point to Bellingham and say yeah, he's having an
[42:41] offseason. He's the one that's lifting that
[42:44] team up to where they are. Yeah, but we're not saying that
[42:46] he's been having an offseason. It's just.
[42:48] Warts has been the. The the main guy.
[42:51] Player in Seattle and best player in the Bundesliga
[42:53] potentially other than Harry Kane.
[42:54] Like would you say Bellingham's Bellingham has been the best
[42:57] player around Madrid right now or?
[42:58] La Liga, He's not been the best player in the Liga.
[42:59] No, I think Bellingham actually has.
[43:01] There's an argument to say that he's the best.
[43:03] He's the. Best player in Real Madrid right
[43:04] now? Right now.
[43:05] Yeah, better than the. Season.
[43:06] Yeah, this season he's been there.
[43:07] To do that at Real Madrid, I put some respect on his name, man.
[43:11] Best player at the best team in the world.
[43:13] Yeah, Warts is the best player in CL.
[43:16] OK, but is he? Yes.
[43:17] Right now, for sure. Osala's still better in CL.
[43:20] No, that's the crazy thing. He hasn't I.
[43:22] Don't know about that, but I don't know.
[43:24] It's just because Bellingham kind of set like the, he's kind
[43:26] of set the precedence that you have to base him off on goals
[43:28] and assists because of early last season, yes.
[43:30] But now like we're going to have to get used to this new
[43:33] Bellingham. That's like you're not just
[43:35] looking at goals and assists. There's more to that player.
[43:37] And that, that's the thing. Warts, in my personal opinion,
[43:40] can have no goals or assists and still drop a master class.
[43:43] I don't know if that's possible with Bellingham.
[43:45] I think you're you're I. Think I love Drew Bellingham,
[43:48] top five player in the world, guaranteed top five.
[43:51] But warts is in that conversation, I think so it's up
[43:54] to you guys. I'll I would, I would
[43:57] personally. I know I said warts, but I'm
[44:00] 5050. If you guys pick Bellingham,
[44:02] I'll go Bellingham. I don't mind.
[44:03] That's crazy. I'm saying Bellingham.
[44:05] I'm gonna I I don't see why I have words to give him his
[44:07] flowers, but Bellingham's my pick here.
[44:10] Yes. So I guess just thinking words,
[44:12] but I I. Find that's crazy, but Verts is
[44:15] a ridiculous like Lever cousin in the Champions League has been
[44:18] a top eight team and that's something that we didn't think
[44:21] about, you know what I mean? Why does that matter?
[44:23] Because why should that? Why should I like?
[44:25] Why should? Why should standards affect my?
[44:27] Because you look at the stats of words and he's been having one
[44:30] of his best seasons ever it. It goes back to which player can
[44:34] will their team Florian Verts this season.
[44:38] Last season a bit less it was a very good team performance, but
[44:40] this season Florian Verts is willing his team forward.
[44:43] I think without Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid.
[44:45] I think without Florian Verts, Leverkusen aren't even in
[44:48] conversation. But that's Leverkusen.
[44:51] Real Madrid I think are still in conversations without Jude
[44:54] Bellingham, sadly. Holding up real is.
[44:57] Whatever Bellingham Bellingham wins this one, we're on to the
[45:01] easiest one of the bracket. I think it's number two seed
[45:05] Vinicius Junior and 15 seed and it's the last round of 1615 seed
[45:09] Turam, Marcus Turam. Make a quick.
[45:12] Term. This is like Kefram Turam.
[45:14] Interscored. Who scored?
[45:16] Barcelona. I might as well move Turam from
[45:18] Barcelona. That was Bastonia or Turam on my
[45:20] list. That's what I was telling Milly
[45:22] Turam has not been the best player at.
[45:24] Has been. I think DeMarco has been better,
[45:26] Bastonia has been better. But The thing is, is that like I
[45:29] would put Dimarco and Bastoni there, but Turam is the a lot of
[45:34] bigger reason why we win games, unfortunately.
[45:37] Because he scores, I guess. He scores, hold up play, he's
[45:40] much. He's a much more dynamic striker
[45:42] this season than Laltado, which is.
[45:44] I think that's why I say the drop off of Laltado has allowed
[45:46] Turam to score more goals. But Turam?
[45:48] Turam. Took that like he took.
[45:50] Right off, right off the bat this season, Turam was was our
[45:53] top, our our main striker. Unfortunately, I would have
[45:56] liked a Lottado to be on a more like be more informed.
[45:59] Yeah, but Turam has taken the reins.
[46:01] Someone like DeMarco, nobody put him as the best left back in the
[46:04] world and yet I think right now he is.
[46:07] So Turam is not even the best striker.
[46:09] I don't, I don't want to even put in top 10 Turam, that's
[46:12] wrong. Turam.
[46:13] No, he's top. I could probably name top. 10.
[46:15] Why you have where? Where would you put him?
[46:16] Top five. He's probably in and around like
[46:19] a like a. Would you rather Holland or
[46:21] Turam? OK.
[46:22] But but would you rather Holland or Hoyland?
[46:25] Like like why are you asking dumb questions you're putting?
[46:28] Taramat on Hoyland level. But you're asking dumb questions
[46:31] bro the. Taramas Fringe 5.
[46:33] He's Fringe 5. No, he's not this key bro.
[46:35] This is top 16. These are the players like he.
[46:37] Should. I'd rather Taram than
[46:39] Lewandowski. Alan.
[46:40] No, yeah. Bro he's top scorer.
[46:42] What the? Fuck am I hearing bro I.
[46:44] Don't understand you brother, You watch Taram 2 you you're.
[46:47] Picking You're not picking Levandowski over Taram.
[46:49] Right now, Taram has been the better player.
[46:51] Yeah, been the better. Player me that is pretty crazy.
[46:53] But at the end of the day, this is going to be a very, very
[46:56] quick conversation. I can hoot and holler about
[46:58] Turam as much as I want at the end of the day, but definitely
[47:00] see them. We're getting a rage.
[47:01] We ain't getting a Millie. Rage beans.
[47:03] No, no, no. He's Zach or Turam.
[47:05] Isaac, Isaac, Isaac. But I even I'm saying Isaac
[47:07] can't. But also, Turam was a free
[47:09] transfer and now he's worth 70 million.
[47:12] More than 70. I'm just going to stick to what
[47:14] I have, Turam, because he's. Proven more than better than bro
[47:16] Yokoresh is 70. Yeah, but Turam has proven in
[47:19] Setia like I'm I'm gonna stick. Brooke, it's you can't.
[47:22] I don't want. To go backwards I'd have to re
[47:24] rehabilitate a striker into Seria that doesn't speak the
[47:27] language, doesn't know the players, has at least Teram, has
[47:31] French compatriots on the team and speaks Italian and you know
[47:34] what I mean, no? But I'm not saying you do a
[47:36] swap, I'm just saying as a player.
[47:37] I don't know bro, jokers just playing versus you my friend.
[47:40] Rasmus Hoyland for Teram just for.
[47:43] Just for you, my friend, I listen.
[47:44] Teram or Nicole Jackson, OH. Teram, Teram.
[47:49] But that's close, you see, That's where he is.
[47:51] That close by Levandowski is how.
[47:52] Much was Nico. I'd rather Nico, Jackson and
[47:55] Lewandowski. How much was Nico Jackson to
[47:58] Chelsea? 40 mil 3435 mil 40.
[48:01] Million back up the wrong tree. Term was zero, term was 0.
[48:04] But anyways, the two seat here is Vinicius Junior, which I was,
[48:09] I was about to say Balandor winner.
[48:11] That's a Christiane Robinson. Anyways, he's the, he's the
[48:15] easy. Thing we'll we'll get into him
[48:16] when he. Faces.
[48:17] Yeah, exactly that. Vinny Junior is the the easy
[48:19] pick here. So we're gonna have a Real
[48:21] Madrid matchup. So let's go through all of the
[48:23] quarters. Let's just so that the audio
[48:24] listeners can paint that picture that Robber was talking about.
[48:27] Fala is gonna play Kane in the quarterfinals, Paul.
[48:31] Oh yeah, you wish. Yeah, no, that's stupid, but
[48:34] whatever. Rafina's gonna play Saka, which
[48:36] is gonna be very interesting. Yamal is gonna play Muziala.
[48:40] Bellingham is gonna play Vinny Junior.
[48:42] So that's a Real Madrid quarter final right there.
[48:44] That's gracious. Yeah.
[48:46] So first one up, Sala against Kane.
[48:49] Now this is if you're just looking on stats, this is
[48:51] actually close but. But the fact that it's close on
[48:54] stats just proves that solid. Kane.
[48:57] Probably Kane. Low key, yeah.
[48:59] The fact Oh yeah bro, he's going on the.
[49:01] Balandor conversations right now as like the the front runner for
[49:04] Balandor and the stats wise Harry Kane is is pretty much in
[49:08] and around that one. 'S going in the Prem.
[49:10] You're saying under the radar? Yeah, but we can't say that
[49:12] because Kane did in the Prem also.
[49:13] So you can't like Kane did it for a decade.
[49:16] I got 30s, bro. We got the CV.
[49:18] We. Got the CV so like obviously.
[49:20] Kane, bro Kane has nineteen goals in assists in 13 games in
[49:23] the Bundesen. I know.
[49:25] Yeah, that's pretty nuts, you. And Lewandowski put up those
[49:28] stats. No one barked.
[49:30] Yeah, but Kane offers a lot more than Lewandowski I.
[49:34] Hate that argument. He does.
[49:35] He does. Unfortunately, like if you're
[49:38] going to take Premier League into account, you're going to
[49:41] take even Champions League into account.
[49:43] Salah's the is the is at the forefront of a team that's in
[49:46] the 1st in the Premier League, first in the Champions.
[49:47] Yeah, you watch him, you know that he's he's up there as one
[49:50] of the best players in the world.
[49:51] Best shape of his life. And the fact, the fact that
[49:54] look, I'm, I am going to vote Salah here because he he has
[49:59] separated himself so much from everyone else that plays in the
[50:01] premise season that it's like every fan base, there's not even
[50:05] a debate. That's who's the best player in
[50:07] the premise here. Like there's not even a debate.
[50:09] However, I did see the Hazard Salah comps come back.
[50:11] Those aren't even close to be honest.
[50:13] It's. Those are just Chelsea fans
[50:15] trying to get involved. It is it.
[50:17] Is that is just Chelsea fans trying to be involved because
[50:19] Salah, Loki passed him years ago.
[50:21] No, now it's just now you're now you're starting to get into
[50:24] Terry Henry, Wayne Rooney combos.
[50:26] It's not, it's not bro Loki. Like it or not, that's who Salah
[50:30] sits on his pedestal with in the terms of greatest Premier League
[50:33] players of all time, I think Terry Henry and Wayne Rooney.
[50:35] Hazard. Hazard is there.
[50:36] No, he's not. He is.
[50:38] Hazard's there. No, he's not bro.
[50:39] Do you know, do you realize Hazard has seasons where he
[50:42] created like where he had two goals or three goals like?
[50:45] It wasn't if you're you're basing them off of goals.
[50:47] Yeah, you're not. You didn't watch Hazard?
[50:49] OK I would agree but players like Rooney, Henri, Saleh had
[50:55] goals and assists while influencing the game and didn't
[50:57] take seasons off. There's seasons where Hazard was
[51:00] actually bad, like genuinely just a net negative on the team.
[51:03] On their best day, I'm taking Hazard.
[51:04] On their best day, Hazard's not even in the no Salah no no bro
[51:09] what the fuck are we talking about?
[51:10] Bro the truth. Bro what?
[51:12] The fuck are we talking about? Hazard, Hazard.
[51:14] Hazard's best game. Hazard's best games.
[51:16] They're better than Salah's best games.
[51:18] I don't give a fuck that is that is true though.
[51:20] That is true. Though no it's not Yes.
[51:22] Hazard Prime is better. Than Salah bro.
[51:25] The only argument is is that you can talk about on their day, on
[51:28] their primes, because over a season, you're right, Salah's
[51:30] much better. Hazard just reminds me of a
[51:33] player from A Lost Generation. Bro imagine most Salah dropped
[51:35] this season bro 43 games, 6 gold, 7 assists.
[51:38] Imagine Salah dropped that season bro.
[51:41] We would actually be having non-stop conversations.
[51:43] I don't want to hear it bro. Yappa, yappa, yappa.
[51:46] But. Salah has more goals this season
[51:50] already than Eden Hazards Best ever season at Chelsea.
[51:53] But would you say that the Premier League got worse This.
[51:56] Is the worst Hazard played in the worst Premier League?
[51:59] The top 6 clubs have digressed. Manchester United is not there
[52:03] anymore. Spurs off Digress so.
[52:05] But the league as a whole? Yeah, the league as a whole is
[52:07] I. Would argue Man United is not
[52:09] that far off from where we were six years ago, it's just that
[52:12] everyone around us got a lot better.
[52:14] Like bro, A-Team, like Everton, I swear if they were in the
[52:16] Champions League, these brothers would actually make the playoff.
[52:18] I don't know. And look where they are on the
[52:20] Prem bro. A decade ago, well not a decade
[52:23] ago, a couple of years ago bro Shawn Daesh's Burnley finished
[52:26] 9th in the Prem, That's Shawn Dash's Burnley.
[52:29] I would argue this Everton team is better quality than that
[52:31] Burnley team also. Listen.
[52:33] Look at like Nottingham Forest, if they're in the Champions
[52:35] League, look at like Bournemouth.
[52:36] These, these are all teams that would make the playoff I can
[52:38] constantly say are better than all of the Bratislavas.
[52:41] Bro Matteos Cuna Matteos Cuna would be probably the best
[52:44] player in league are maybe and this brothers on relegation
[52:48] fodder. Guys on that Ronaldo wave right
[52:50] now, I'm still picking PSG, Everyone else, everyone else
[52:54] finished. Whatever, Sala.
[52:56] Sala doesn't deserve to be compared to Kane this season.
[52:59] I'm not going to. Yeah, I know this is.
[53:00] His curve Kane. Bro look, I'm looking at the
[53:04] stats bro. Kane that bro.
[53:06] Bro Kane has not been by he's been the best player in
[53:09] Bundesliga, but like Omar Marmosch has had a he has more
[53:13] goals and assists. He has more goals and assists
[53:15] than Kane in the Bundesliga. I don't care, just watch.
[53:17] Oh I agree, I'm saying Kane has been the best but Salit's like
[53:21] head and shoulders above everyone else in his in his
[53:23] league. I think it's just cause of his
[53:25] team, like he's first in everything.
[53:27] How could you not be salad right now?
[53:28] If if Liverpool didn't have salad, they would not be the
[53:30] same. Team I know that's why I'm
[53:32] picking Salah, but the Kane like respect Kane yeah, he's been
[53:36] having an insane. Season, You don't need to tell
[53:38] me to. He makes it to a very possible
[53:41] Kane goes past the quarterfinals.
[53:43] Against anyone else? Versus a lot of others.
[53:45] Well then Salah books his ticket to the semi finals.
[53:47] Yeah. And who will he be facing off?
[53:50] Is the match up Rafina versus Saka?
[53:53] I'll make this quick because if I had Co Palmer above Rafina,
[53:56] Saka's easily above Rafina so. I I think not even close.
[54:00] Not even close, sorry. Lots of elimination, it says.
[54:03] Saka easily. Why?
[54:04] Saka's been a top 3-4 player in the world this season.
[54:07] Because Rafi. Has Rafina?
[54:08] No, he hasn't. But the the problem with the
[54:10] Rafina Palmer is that it was a close conversation, but we know
[54:14] that Saka is better than Palmer at least.
[54:16] Has been better has. Been better than Palmer.
[54:18] Not better than Palmer. I what?
[54:20] Do you mean? Was is will?
[54:22] Hold up, say that semen again. Saka is not better than.
[54:25] Palmer if if that's close between Palmer and Rafil Yards
[54:28] and Saka's better than both. They knew he.
[54:30] Is not. Bro, Oh my goodness.
[54:32] I mean I just watched Arsenal against our Ipswich and it was a
[54:35] it was a pretty ugly watch with outside.
[54:37] Of course you have Martinelli on the right wing.
[54:39] What I told you about Martinelli, I agree.
[54:41] But Saka Saka once again, I'm going to keep going back.
[54:43] Saka's one of those players that and Co Palmer's the same wills
[54:47] their team into the game. That is it's, it's, it's it's
[54:50] you can't just replace him systematically like you saw or
[54:53] you you can't just say, oh, give his responsibility to Odegard.
[54:56] Odegard can't do that. Odegard can't do what?
[54:58] Saka has different positions. No, but Odegard can't take that
[55:01] amount of responsibility that Saka does.
[55:03] Saka has an insane amount of responsibility on an elite team
[55:07] in Europe. Yeah.
[55:08] So does Rafina for Barcelona. No he doesn't.
[55:10] No he doesn't bro Lamina Mal is better than Rafina in the same
[55:14] team. We just.
[55:14] Called that Vandowski overrated and you're telling.
[55:17] Me. Lewandowski doesn't have that
[55:19] much responsibility. Bolsky's responsibility is you
[55:21] get the ball right in front of the net, kick it in.
[55:23] There's a lot of people like Who?
[55:24] Who's giving him the ball in front of the?
[55:26] Net like I agree but someone in the same exact team, Damina Mao
[55:30] has been better than him. Lamina Mao has been better than
[55:32] Saka. Not here, but that's we'll talk
[55:34] maybe talk about that later. Well, maybe talk about that
[55:37] later, but. Crazy to me.
[55:38] Saka has been and I still think Cole Palmer is still a better
[55:43] player, but Saka's arguably a top five player in the world and
[55:49] this season so far he's been after Sala.
[55:52] He's in and around that number two spot.
[55:54] That's nuts to me. That's actually not.
[55:56] Good bro, up until now forget what you knew about Saka.
[55:59] Just looking at this season, I don't see any other player.
[56:01] And it's a shame that the hamstring injury came because
[56:06] Loki is Let's say Sala wasn't playing as well as he was.
[56:10] Could Loki be Premier League player of the season?
[56:11] So far, no. Bro.
[56:13] Who? Who would have been his
[56:14] competition? I don't know, but it's not Saka
[56:17] bro. Palmer has been.
[56:18] Ready. I hate him that much.
[56:19] Huh I don't bro I like how he's been playing.
[56:21] I had him in FPLI just don't think he's better than Rafina.
[56:24] I traded him for Watkins, which didn't go as well, but.
[56:27] So you rated Watkins above Saka? That's crazy.
[56:29] Well, that's FPL, the bias. That's FPL cause a forward is
[56:32] always better than a winger but to me like Rafina has been
[56:35] having a better season. It's crazy that three of you
[56:37] think Saka has been better. Stat wise, you're putting way
[56:40] too much, you're putting way too much importance on La Liga.
[56:43] You know, stats, I'm not LA. Liga is the fourth best league
[56:45] right now. Let's just put it out there,
[56:47] it's the fourth best league right now.
[56:48] Yes, it is second. Done.
[56:49] Bundesliga is clear. Syria is clear.
[56:51] No. Yes.
[56:52] No. It's closer to Ligard than to
[56:55] those two terms. You see these stats?
[56:57] I know I I agree Saka has been having a good season but I just
[57:01] like he. If he's not better than Palmer,
[57:03] I don't know how he even makes it, but.
[57:05] That's your opinion. That's your opinion too then.
[57:07] No, but that's your opinion that Palmer is worth like you're one
[57:10] of the you're you're part of the small 5% of people that still
[57:13] think that this season Palmer. Palmer, Osaka.
[57:15] Palmer is better than another 5% Palmer Osaka.
[57:18] He's had a better season. There you go.
[57:19] That's one of the you. Had a better season.
[57:21] Cole Palmer is a better player. That's your opinion yes, but
[57:24] this season we're talking. This is a this season bracket.
[57:27] Saka has been better than Palmer and you're just stupid if you
[57:29] think. I I think if Rufina actually
[57:31] beats Saka, it's this. It's actually disrespectful to
[57:33] what Saka's done this season. I think what's happening here is
[57:35] Premier League bias. No?
[57:36] Which is crazy because soccer has any importance on Premier
[57:39] League. Which Premier League me.
[57:40] Rafina in the Premier League was not anywhere near but he was not
[57:45] even close to bro Saka before. When Arsenal were fucking dog
[57:49] shit. They were near Leeds.
[57:50] It wasn't that crazy of a fucking comparison.
[57:53] You just compared Arsenal with Leeds.
[57:54] Arsenal when they were at their dog shit point were near Leeds.
[57:57] Yeah. That's.
[57:59] But I think you walked the whole pitch on his knees.
[58:01] Yeah, it's passion. Yeah, but Saka takes corners.
[58:04] Yeah, let's go back to Copa America.
[58:05] What the fuck did Rafina do? What did Vinnie do?
[58:08] But I agree. But we're not going to have him
[58:10] in the Balandor. Yeah, but we're not judging him
[58:12] off of Copa America. Well, you judge him off of Copa
[58:14] America. Who You Rafina.
[58:16] When it came to Balandor talks, who was judging him off of Copa
[58:18] America? Bro, I'm talking about this
[58:19] video, not the video we recorded three months ago.
[58:21] Are you stupid? What the?
[58:23] Fuck are you talking about? I think unfortunately Saka's
[58:25] just had a better season. I know.
[58:28] Let Saka, but I disagree. But listen, at the end of the
[58:32] day, it it's very tough for any of these players to get past a
[58:37] player like Sala. Firms is just trying to get his
[58:38] doppelganger into the fucking mix.
[58:42] Trying to get those this. Is actually this is one of the
[58:43] easiest ones for me because we had the discussion and if we put
[58:46] Palmer, if we if Lafinia beat Palmer, Saka beats Rafinia.
[58:49] Palmer Saka is actually a combo. What the fuck?
[58:52] But I think you just beat him. No, but I think, yeah.
[58:54] But for me, I picked Palmer. Good for you, bro.
[58:57] I think, I think K whatever soccer's losing, soccer may be
[58:59] losing. So.
[59:01] So wait, if you have to do like like a 123 like of like a rank
[59:06] em yes of these players, what would you do?
[59:08] Of who? Rafina Saka Palmer.
[59:10] Of their season so far. Which one?
[59:12] If I'm building a of this season, If I'm building a team
[59:15] today, which one would I rather? No.
[59:19] Who's been having a better season?
[59:21] Yeah. Saka Saka 1.
[59:24] Paul Saltaro scored Saka 1. Paul Saka. 1:00 AM I watching
[59:32] the same games? Bro Saka so far one of these
[59:35] three, it's not even close. I put him.
[59:36] Third, well, it's Saka Rafina Palmer, if this is how the video
[59:39] is going to go. I don't know.
[59:41] I I put, I picked Palmer over Ruffina, so I'm picking Palmer
[59:43] and then Ruffina third. I can't even.
[59:45] Count. That's bro.
[59:46] Saka, Rafina Palmer. Yeah.
[59:48] But it's it's Athena Palmer Saka.
[59:50] One A1B well. No, Saka's not close.
[59:51] Huh. Saka's.
[59:52] Saka's. No, but I'm saying like you, you
[59:54] like these are you found three players that are actually in a
[59:56] conversation. You know that LeBron meme of no
[59:58] help? Like that's that was Saka this
[1:00:00] season? Yeah, like it was actually.
[1:00:01] He had no help. Especially with Odegard.
[1:00:02] Odegard played minimal amount of.
[1:00:04] Games and when he has played, he hasn't even good.
[1:00:06] I'm flabbergasted. Anyways, Saka is through.
[1:00:10] Unfortunately, Athena is stopped at the quarterfinals.
[1:00:12] So that side of the bracket, it's going to be Salah versus
[1:00:16] Saka, but we'll get to that soon.
[1:00:18] The Next up is Yamal versus Musiala, the third seed versus
[1:00:23] the 11th seed. I'm up to no good.
[1:00:27] Yamal moving forward. I'm up to no good.
[1:00:29] Let's make this quick Musiala, you had a cute season so far,
[1:00:32] but Bundesliga, no one cares. Yeah, that's not how it works,
[1:00:37] but. Laminia Mal is one of those and
[1:00:40] it's Musiala doesn't do this once again, cuz Musiala, there's
[1:00:43] this, there's this every big game.
[1:00:46] I don't know, I watch Musiala and it's not it doesn't show.
[1:00:48] Up. I will say I'm a big Musiala
[1:00:51] supporter, but brother, just do a little bit more in those big
[1:00:55] games because I agree because you're spectacular, but people
[1:00:59] are only watching you in those big games.
[1:01:00] Yeah, so. You know, it's like he takes it
[1:01:02] down a level. He he doesn't.
[1:01:04] He doesn't when it's those big lights on him.
[1:01:07] It's like he takes it down a level.
[1:01:09] Yeah. Which is is sad because a player
[1:01:10] of his not. For Germany though, so only for
[1:01:12] Dorman that it's only for buyer that you don't.
[1:01:14] But then once again, and for Germany and now round the 16,
[1:01:17] he's. One of Germany's most important
[1:01:18] players. Yes, I agree, but what has
[1:01:20] Germany done in the last couple tournaments?
[1:01:22] Well, definitely this EUR was a resurgence.
[1:01:25] Yeah, but they lost to Spain in the quarters, I think, no.
[1:01:27] That ended up winning the winning the game.
[1:01:29] It could have been a Didn't you watch that game?
[1:01:30] Yeah, yeah, I was in Germany. It could have been a final and
[1:01:33] and who scored was the Oh no, sorry, you were in France.
[1:01:37] Did we not, did we not say that that was the like, I don't know.
[1:01:39] I was saying that that was the final, yeah.
[1:01:40] That Germany, Spain was the final.
[1:01:42] Yes. So I mean, unfortunately, I
[1:01:44] think Yamal is the one that goes through here.
[1:01:47] I know there's like there is tax because he's so young, but I
[1:01:52] want to like I would love to say Musiala, but you just need to
[1:01:54] watch him out. You seen two eyes and you
[1:01:55] shouldn't watch him out for one game.
[1:01:57] But his IQ if that brother, if that brother just gets a little
[1:02:01] bit more muscle and and uses his physicality like his ceiling is
[1:02:04] infinite. There was a video of of La Mina
[1:02:06] Mal U14. He was 14 years old and he was
[1:02:08] playing against U eighteens or U nineteens bro.
[1:02:11] This kid, he was making kids five years old like look like
[1:02:15] they're not even professional players.
[1:02:16] Like it was, it was actually ridiculous.
[1:02:19] And even at 14 years old, a ball came to him.
[1:02:23] There was this much space at the corner of the net bang directly.
[1:02:26] Like it wasn't even, it wasn't even.
[1:02:29] It was like he practice it a million times.
[1:02:31] It was actually crazy. He's so complete as a player
[1:02:34] too, like he takes on players. He's good at finishing good.
[1:02:36] Drizzy Allah, if you're a football enthusiast, it reminds
[1:02:38] me kind of a Kakai Said this a while ago.
[1:02:40] Like he. Has the same type of running.
[1:02:42] The midfield and dribbling. That's actually the best.
[1:02:44] The best? I said this a while ago.
[1:02:45] You call me crazy. No, but I think it's 'cause I
[1:02:49] think it's 'cause you said that Musala might have a better
[1:02:51] legacy than Kaka. He must when sports that.
[1:02:54] Who's to say he won't? Okay, but player comparison, I
[1:02:57] like that because you're right through the midfield.
[1:02:59] Just glides through. Through doesn't make.
[1:03:02] It's crazy watching him. It's like there's things that
[1:03:04] you could teach a player, then there's things that they're
[1:03:06] just. Bored like Yamal?
[1:03:09] Are you watching in the Urals, brother?
[1:03:11] That's he was still 16 at the year old.
[1:03:12] Yeah, you're watching him. You're like, you just can't
[1:03:14] comprehend. I was 16 year old was able to
[1:03:16] become a system for a country. Yeah, become a system for a
[1:03:19] country. That was savior.
[1:03:21] Bro he made Nico Williams look like a 60 million option for
[1:03:24] Barcelona bio. Respect Nicole, he's still a
[1:03:26] good player. Bro the brother is was a good
[1:03:28] player but you see the shouts he got he was getting ballin door
[1:03:31] nominated for the ballin door shouts.
[1:03:33] Yeah, it's pretty crazy, but Yamal definitely moves through
[1:03:36] into the semi final now. Now this is a big match up.
[1:03:39] It is the Real Madrid Derby here, Bellingham versus Vinny
[1:03:42] Junior, seventh seed versus second seed who is going through
[1:03:46] to the semi final. Who's been better this season?
[1:03:49] Who is it Vinny versus? Bellingham.
[1:03:51] Vinny just keeps getting haircuts and Bellingham just
[1:03:53] keeps putting up important performances.
[1:03:55] But Bellingham is winning those Saudi awards as the best
[1:03:58] forward. Vinny World, Yeah.
[1:04:00] Because they want because Saudi won a song.
[1:04:01] Best midfielder number? Four No, no, no, Vinny or
[1:04:03] Bellingham. Vinny.
[1:04:04] Yeah, Vinny won best forward, but Vinny ended up winning FIFA
[1:04:08] Best Best forward. OK.
[1:04:10] So best two guys. Or best players, something like
[1:04:12] that. I forget the award.
[1:04:13] But right now this season, it's a lot of the spotlight I think
[1:04:17] is on on Bellingham right now as as that main creator, main
[1:04:21] outlet for Real Madrid. So is my pick Bellingham?
[1:04:27] I I low key might have to pick Bellingham on this one.
[1:04:29] I don't know I'm. I'm really, I wanted to be the
[1:04:31] guy. I wanted to be the guy that,
[1:04:32] said Bellingham. I'm.
[1:04:33] Going to be that guy, I'm going to be that guy.
[1:04:34] Right now, if we're looking at a season as a whole, like Vinny
[1:04:37] Junior is probably going to end up winning it.
[1:04:38] But just looking at 20 like this 2425 season, I think Bellingham
[1:04:44] takes it for me very ever so slightly.
[1:04:47] I don't know bro, I'm still sticking to Vinny.
[1:04:49] I think in Champions League we've seen he could step up for
[1:04:52] Real Madrid and he's done it with Atalante, he's done it with
[1:04:55] Milan, he's done it in the other games and Bellingham, I don't
[1:04:59] know, he's been better defensively but he doesn't
[1:05:02] doesn't. But but this season, the thing
[1:05:04] about this season is that there was been a, there's been a lot
[1:05:07] of issues, especially with Imbape coming in now, like it
[1:05:09] really disrupted. The flow and attack.
[1:05:11] Flow that Vinnie flow of him like having the ball getting
[1:05:15] into those chance because then all of a sudden you have to
[1:05:17] accommodate 2 star players and it's like very I still.
[1:05:20] Think it's a matter of time. It's going to work out
[1:05:22] eventually. I really want to say Bellingham,
[1:05:24] but. But Vinnie, Vinnie, like I very.
[1:05:26] I understand. I understand.
[1:05:27] Vinnie. Vinnie wins you Billy.
[1:05:30] Billy. Goddamn bro.
[1:05:31] Vinnie can win you champions. Yeah, 100% alone and I hate, I
[1:05:36] don't, I really dislike Vinny. I think so far in CL he's low
[1:05:39] key kept them in the CL so far. That's what I'm saying, bro.
[1:05:42] Vinny can. Do, but they still have a lot to
[1:05:43] do but. Yeah, they still have a lot to
[1:05:45] do, but bro, without Vinny like with those goals against Atlanta
[1:05:48] and stuff, might not be. Bro Bellingham's a nice squad,
[1:05:50] Like, like squad builder like he like.
[1:05:52] If I'm making a squad, I want Bellingham.
[1:05:54] He'll he'll become a captain. He'll keep the glue of the like.
[1:05:57] He'll be the glue of the team. It's just I.
[1:05:59] Can't find another Vinny though. No, I think it's harder to
[1:06:01] replace Bellingham then it's. To replace I was I was having an
[1:06:04] internal discussion, but bro, you cannot find Vinny you.
[1:06:07] Honestly, you can find they found the Vinny, Yeah.
[1:06:10] They found the. Place that's generational, you
[1:06:12] can find techie wingers, they're all around the world, but you
[1:06:14] cannot find Vinicius when you're man.
[1:06:16] I don't know, it's a tough one, but I completely understand if
[1:06:19] Vinny goes through. I'm going to go Vinny.
[1:06:22] Yeah, sadly, I think. Jude Bellingham.
[1:06:24] Well, you he was your Balandor winner too.
[1:06:26] Yeah, well, that's not even to pick Bellingham.
[1:06:28] After you pick him as a Balandor.
[1:06:30] Where's the Balandor winner here?
[1:06:31] He's injured. But where is he?
[1:06:33] Where's kind of a Hal here? He hasn't played this.
[1:06:35] He's also injured. Oh, I'd never said bakarva Hal
[1:06:37] for Balandor, but that's OK. Where's any Manchester United
[1:06:40] player? There we go.
[1:06:41] Never. Not close.
[1:06:42] Wanka wanka wanka. Wanka, wanka.
[1:06:43] There are a bunch of wankers. Wankers.
[1:06:45] Wanka wanka. Where's the US player?
[1:06:46] Yeah. Where's any Milan player here?
[1:06:48] But now left side of the bracket, semi final #1 Sala
[1:06:51] versus Saka. The Battle of the SUS.
[1:06:54] Yeah, like I'm trying to act like there's a combo here, but
[1:06:58] there's no combo here. How we are How can we keep the
[1:07:01] retention? Mohamed Salah versus Bukai Osaka
[1:07:05] just. Name.
[1:07:05] Just name the XG of soccer. You put Salah on the Arsenal
[1:07:08] team, is he still performing? Clip that, but I think this is
[1:07:11] Salah very, very clear. But put invert, invert the
[1:07:15] teams. What happens?
[1:07:18] Drop off, yeah, and huge drop off.
[1:07:20] Not huge, but like. I think Saka can pull Salah's
[1:07:23] numbers. I agree and I think Arsenal
[1:07:26] would be better with Salah. Yes, but but look, I don't know,
[1:07:31] I, I, I still have to put respect on Saka because I think
[1:07:34] other than most salad and Cole Palmer, there's not another
[1:07:36] right winger in the world like and Laminia Mal.
[1:07:39] Those those three same three, no, but those three players I've
[1:07:42] known 3. There's no other players in
[1:07:44] world football that can do what it is.
[1:07:45] For this is let's let's let's just cut the shit.
[1:07:46] Rodrigo. This would be Sala, but put Saka
[1:07:49] on the other side. Put it, put it in a three-way
[1:07:52] with the other side semi finalists.
[1:07:54] With Jamal and Vinny, he's not making it and.
[1:07:56] Firms is not all to speak. Low key, she's not making it.
[1:07:59] Soccer beat. Vinny soccer beat.
[1:08:00] Bro, what are we talking about? And soccer, My God, I'm stepping
[1:08:03] up for the Madridistas over. Here bro I'm I look Madridistas
[1:08:07] will probably agree with me. I think Vinny's been good but
[1:08:10] Saka has has been a different level.
[1:08:13] But why like Saka and Yamal is a combo I?
[1:08:16] Don't even think so. I think I I think so.
[1:08:19] You're saying Yamal better than Vinny?
[1:08:20] We'll get to that actually. No, no, no, no, because like
[1:08:23] we're just looking at a small Yeah, we're looking at a small
[1:08:25] sample size, but I'm taking Yamal or Vinny over Saka like if
[1:08:30] if I was building an. OK.
[1:08:32] You can't find like yes I agree Vinny is better than Saka and
[1:08:35] Yamal bro is generally the. Upside is just, yeah, you get
[1:08:38] rid of anyone. I love I love Saka though, but
[1:08:40] on the right side I think he makes his final for 2024.
[1:08:43] No. Not crazy to say not crazy to
[1:08:45] say not. Crazy to say.
[1:08:46] Firms. I'm trying to find some.
[1:08:48] It's some rotation, yeah. Not not crazy to say, but yeah
[1:08:50] Salah Salah is my pick for the final.
[1:08:52] Yeah, I think everyone's pick for the final.
[1:08:54] Yeah. So Salah makes it into the
[1:08:56] final. We move on to the right side
[1:08:57] where we have Lamin Yamal versus Vinicius Junior who makes it to
[1:09:02] the final of our bracket. And one question we can ask here
[1:09:05] is which player would you rather for the next 5 years?
[1:09:08] Also if you want to add that on top.
[1:09:10] I think that's the best question you could ask because if you're
[1:09:13] just limited to a five year A5 year limit, you know, cuz
[1:09:17] Louimel is younger. So it's hard to compare them.
[1:09:21] But I'm thinking, I'm thinking Lamin Yamal for the next 5
[1:09:23] years. I'm with you pal, I'm thinking
[1:09:25] Lamin Yamal. I think obviously the age is a
[1:09:27] factor, but I find he offers a bit more on the ball than
[1:09:31] Vinnie. I feel like Vinnie is good when
[1:09:32] he has a good team around him and Lamin Yamal just makes a
[1:09:34] team good. But Vinnie right now is Balandor
[1:09:37] caliber. Are you really risking the
[1:09:39] development of a 17 year old for a player that has already proved
[1:09:44] himself as a Balandor caliber player?
[1:09:46] But look, we we can go back to the five year question in a
[1:09:48] couple minutes. 1st for 2024, would you say had a better 2024?
[1:09:55] I don't want to just say Yamal just because of like, I think
[1:09:58] he's a better player. But I think Yamal has had a
[1:10:00] better 2024 so far. I don't know about that.
[1:10:02] But by 2024 we mean this. Season.
[1:10:04] Yeah, this season. 2425 season. Yeah, I think it's tough.
[1:10:09] I do. I do think that that that.
[1:10:13] What do you call it? Like they?
[1:10:15] I do think that Real Madrid's very poor form at the beginning
[1:10:18] of the season hindered Vinnie's 2425.
[1:10:22] Like it really, It took him a minute to actually roll into the
[1:10:25] season, whereas Laminia Amal hit the ground running.
[1:10:27] Especially after the EUR. This player was like Laminia
[1:10:30] Amal was already. In.
[1:10:31] Preseason really did not have a preseason and was already touted
[1:10:34] to be like the star player for Barcelona and he's lived up to
[1:10:37] it in the in the 2425 season. I don't know, I'm I?
[1:10:41] I do think I'm leaning towards Yamal here.
[1:10:44] It's it's the fact also that like let me in your mouth season
[1:10:48] has been amazing, putting him up on that pedestal.
[1:10:50] Let's say Vinny caught up to him.
[1:10:52] Let's say it's the fact that he got injured and Barcelona
[1:10:55] completely fell off. That takes him like that extra
[1:10:58] level to that. It's like he really was that
[1:11:02] good that even his whole team was the.
[1:11:03] Well, you see, the right wing is an empty spot right now without
[1:11:06] Yamal. Like you feel it.
[1:11:07] Yeah, like we always speak about Roger, who Man City is.
[1:11:10] Injury derailed their entire season.
[1:11:11] It's the same kind of happened with La Min Yamal also.
[1:11:13] Yeah. So I was just looking at some of
[1:11:15] Vinny's match ratings and like what he's done this season.
[1:11:18] He's picked up steam. No, but he's been important in a
[1:11:20] lot of Champions League games. He's been and and like even in
[1:11:23] games where they lost, he's still been very important.
[1:11:26] I mean, he's always changing positions to sometimes he's a
[1:11:28] second striker, sometimes he's a winger.
[1:11:30] Yeah, I don't know. I'm I'm still, I don't know.
[1:11:34] I don't know. But what's the consent like?
[1:11:35] What's the? Right now, this season, Yamal, I
[1:11:38] think. Yamal, I think this season
[1:11:40] Yamal, the five year question, I do think a lot of people will go
[1:11:43] Yamal, but Vinny right now is Balandor caliber.
[1:11:46] So you have that for. But so is Yamal.
[1:11:49] But Yamal is. I don't think he's there yet.
[1:11:52] I think he could be there. But why three seasons?
[1:11:56] Like I don't think he's an out and out Balandor winner right
[1:11:57] now. Unfortunately, I don't think
[1:11:59] they'll give that to a 17 year old right now.
[1:12:01] Unfortunately the age helps the amount so much.
[1:12:04] Because that long run. Because everyone like any
[1:12:07] negative aspect of his game. If you can find you're just
[1:12:09] gonna say 7 rather. 15 you can simulate 15 years in the future,
[1:12:13] you'll still be 32. That's younger than Salah is
[1:12:16] right now. I know, but then you go
[1:12:17] Balandors and then you go go through that Barsa 80 games a
[1:12:20] season and add Club World Cup in there and next year and the
[1:12:24] brother's. Going to be bro.
[1:12:25] Yeah, but Saka's, that's like Saka ham.
[1:12:27] Pork pork bro the literally the muscle fell off the bone low.
[1:12:31] Key I don't want to jinx it, but I think Saka well might and it
[1:12:34] would be sad if this happened. I don't know if he's going to
[1:12:36] ever reach the levels that he did.
[1:12:37] Theoreticals right now, bro, that that hamstring injury.
[1:12:41] That hamstring injuries are recurring rage bait.
[1:12:44] No no, that doom bait. Hamstring injuries, especially
[1:12:48] hamstring, are recurring injuries.
[1:12:50] Trust me, Luke Shaw, I will tell you, OK?
[1:12:54] Saka ain't the the the most fit brother either, brother.
[1:12:57] You see, you see the little you see the little little gloves
[1:13:01] flaps a bit. They're they're the batch
[1:13:03] shaving. All.
[1:13:05] This they're developing, but I saka a Hampshire injury that's
[1:13:09] severe where it actually detaches from the bone, like
[1:13:12] literally pulled port. No, reattach that shit bro.
[1:13:15] Easier said than done. Some staples said than done, but
[1:13:19] they're back on the pitch. I mean, I think I think your
[1:13:22] mouth makes it through for this season.
[1:13:24] But if we want to go back to the five year question, I mean,
[1:13:28] Vinnie might have a a conversation or even though I
[1:13:31] think like I, I would still vote Yamal by the way Millie was
[1:13:35] talking about. I think he's voting Vinny.
[1:13:39] I mean, shit bro, you're the one that I'm talking about shit for
[1:13:43] the five years. For the five years there,
[1:13:45] there's a conversation like I, I think Vinny's the safer pick,
[1:13:48] but you have in, in terms. Of you have 19 year old Yamal,
[1:13:51] 20 year old Yamal, 21 year old Yamal, like that's going to be
[1:13:54] this prime. But he's he's playing a lot of
[1:13:57] minutes now. Like we had that conversation
[1:13:59] about injuries and whatnot. Like who's to say in five years,
[1:14:02] God forbid Yamal has a like a, a run of bad injuries.
[1:14:06] It's very, it's very possible. But Vinny right now you have him
[1:14:09] at a balloon door level. That's not necessarily getting
[1:14:11] injured at every corner. So it's tough.
[1:14:14] It depends if you want short term success I think Vinny but
[1:14:16] long term like is Yamal. There's no reason for Vinny to
[1:14:19] fall off in the next 5 years and there is.
[1:14:21] I think there is more concern of injuries with Yamal, with Yamal.
[1:14:25] It's so hypothetical. It's very.
[1:14:26] High, I know, but no. But I don't think it is because
[1:14:28] you see Vinny like. Vinny was injured at the
[1:14:31] beginning of the season. But Real Madrid are good at
[1:14:34] keeping their superstars away from big time injuries.
[1:14:37] But he's also older, bro, young players developing.
[1:14:40] Yamal is still at the age where he's growing.
[1:14:42] Yes. Well, 17 when you were seven.
[1:14:43] When I was 17, I was still growing, Yeah.
[1:14:45] My muscles were all fucked up. My back was all weird.
[1:14:47] My knees were always hurting like.
[1:14:48] And it that. Now add 7310 seventy games to
[1:14:51] that. But the path you take with how
[1:14:53] you train yourself at 1617 years old is an indicator of how like
[1:14:58] the path you take in five years, like your body will will morph.
[1:15:01] And change in five years? Look.
[1:15:02] Look at what happened to Pedry. Look at what happened to Pedry
[1:15:04] playing in that Barcelona system.
[1:15:06] So I don't know that maybe Vinnie is the the safer pick
[1:15:10] right now. Okie, is it better to be?
[1:15:12] Is it better to be only noticed when you're 2122 as a
[1:15:15] footballer? Because then you're considered
[1:15:17] still. And look and look, players like
[1:15:19] Wayne Rooney in the past, who was an exceptional 16 year old
[1:15:21] 17 year old almost had, but maybe not as good.
[1:15:25] Well, probably not, definitely not as good, but had a rise very
[1:15:29] similar to Laminia Mao right now.
[1:15:31] He ended up fizzling very early out because all these minutes at
[1:15:34] a young age end up catching up. Really.
[1:15:36] Did R9 start really young? 8/19 was was he not like a
[1:15:40] phenomenon and a young age, Yeah.
[1:15:42] So he and two injuries ended up. CL after he.
[1:15:45] Injuries also a different. Different era of the game
[1:15:47] though, like they did not care about the state of the pitch and
[1:15:49] whatnot and like people were studying like they were going to
[1:15:52] studs. But that has nothing to do with
[1:15:53] ACL. No, but in in this what?
[1:15:56] AC A studies to your knee doesn't change.
[1:15:58] But recovery of injuries? Era football.
[1:16:00] They were like, oh, you feel alright, OK, you can start
[1:16:02] alright yeah but now it's like tests that like I feel alright,
[1:16:05] but if I find like minor inflammation in your knee, they.
[1:16:08] Can find micro micro tears now. Yeah, unless you're Barcelona,
[1:16:10] then you're playing. Like you've just you can walk
[1:16:13] suit up. You guys started this new like
[1:16:15] weird program where we don't understand why certain players
[1:16:18] aren't playing. But players that are often
[1:16:20] injury prone get put on these programs where it's like game
[1:16:23] management, where like the medics will not will force the
[1:16:26] physios will force them not to play every like third.
[1:16:28] Like it's like. 3rd like. Load management.
[1:16:31] Load management. 'Cause they, they're like
[1:16:33] they're trying to prevent a predicted injury, yeah.
[1:16:35] Or something like that, yeah. Use AI bro.
[1:16:37] So Yamala, listen, Barsa is gonna have to take care of that
[1:16:40] Don if they want him tip top shape for the next 5 years.
[1:16:43] I, I want a generational, I want another generational player.
[1:16:45] So that's for all of our sake, take care of Yamal.
[1:16:48] Exactly. But I do think the consensus is
[1:16:50] that La Minamal makes it to the final.
[1:16:51] Gentleman. Yes.
[1:16:52] Which leads to the I think this is whatever we wanted to see.
[1:16:56] Get the popcorn out, gentleman. It's Salah versus La Minamal for
[1:16:59] that final spot. Who is the best player so far of
[1:17:03] the 2425 season? We spoke a lot about both of
[1:17:06] these Dons, spent many many times speaking about them.
[1:17:10] I think every Rd. leads to Salah in this discussion.
[1:17:14] If Yamal was if Yamal and Vinny were in a deep conversation
[1:17:17] where we couldn't figure out which one and we had nothing but
[1:17:20] high praise for Salah. He's he's the consensus number
[1:17:23] one seed here. It's hard to not say Salah.
[1:17:26] You look at the teams. Yeah but it's the fact that Bro
[1:17:29] Barsa turned so shit when Yamal went down.
[1:17:32] But imagine Salah getting injured.
[1:17:34] I mean, that's a hypothetical. This whole episode was
[1:17:37] hypothetical up, and it's hypothetical.
[1:17:40] It's answered the amount it's answered Barsar.
[1:17:43] Allah is not answered yet they. Still got Ruffina, Lewandowski,
[1:17:47] practically the whole teams the same one injury derailed the
[1:17:49] entire season not. Really.
[1:17:50] Look. How many center back injuries?
[1:17:52] Midfielder injuries. Full back injuries.
[1:17:54] They were, yeah, but the center back pairing is still Inigo
[1:17:57] Martinez and Kubarsi. It's been that since the
[1:17:59] beginning of the season. Yes, but it will be a raho when
[1:18:02] he comes. But it's a finishing problem.
[1:18:03] It's not a defense. Problem, but Liverpool is much
[1:18:05] stronger around the like rest of the position.
[1:18:07] Levandowski scores two goals in that game, also their first.
[1:18:09] Impress issue. But I'm going to say Salah, but
[1:18:12] but Yamal is a lot closer I think like it's a lot.
[1:18:15] I think there's an argument. For sure, yeah.
[1:18:18] I don't think, brother, he was three seed in our bracket, so
[1:18:20] obviously he's in that upper echelon of players right now.
[1:18:23] And a lot of people are saying that we're going to give him are
[1:18:25] probably going to say, oh, we're, we're just hyping up
[1:18:27] because he's 17. No, no, this is a just a
[1:18:29] ridiculous, this guy could be 29.
[1:18:31] This is just a ridiculous season.
[1:18:33] Like it's, it's Rafina made it that far despite being what, 26
[1:18:40] now? Like Yamala has been
[1:18:42] significantly better than Rafina.
[1:18:45] Significantly, significantly better.
[1:18:46] Significantly better? No.
[1:18:48] I think Rafini is more important for bars.
[1:18:49] This. Year.
[1:18:50] No. OK, whatever.
[1:18:51] Yes, right, bro? Come on, bro.
[1:18:53] You. I don't know why you don't like
[1:18:55] Rafina. What?
[1:18:56] I like Rafina. You just act like he's someone
[1:18:58] that he's not. He's not a superstar.
[1:18:59] Player, he's like he's world. Class right now he's.
[1:19:01] In such an important piece of. Form World class form.
[1:19:04] OK, but what do you want? To compare him to Saka Palmer
[1:19:07] and shit don't he's. In this conversation, he's not
[1:19:08] here. Please.
[1:19:09] These these Barsa fans need to be stopped you guys.
[1:19:12] I'm not even a Barsa. Fans have an icon of joking
[1:19:14] peanut. They're going to answer you in
[1:19:17] the comments. Sure let them up to you bro.
[1:19:19] Stupid fan base but whatever. There we go, crazy bro.
[1:19:21] The Madridista who picked Yeah, Yamal over Vinny, I like.
[1:19:25] But once again it's the issue comes down to Barcelona fans
[1:19:29] rating player like rate the players that like Yamal Pedry.
[1:19:35] The Rafina Gavi Gavi Gavi. Are players that you should be
[1:19:39] rating and Kubarsi are players that you should be rating at
[1:19:42] their proper level because they're at that level.
[1:19:44] Players like Rafina bro understand when it's form and
[1:19:47] when it's actually like they're a very good player.
[1:19:49] Rafina's a good player. He's a he's worth what you guys
[1:19:52] paid. He's a very good player.
[1:19:53] He's in very good form right now. 2024 understand it's form
[1:19:55] season bracket put some put some respect on on players that are
[1:19:59] actually like of that level plus they're in good.
[1:20:02] Form. If Rafina was going to Man
[1:20:03] United, you would twerk for him. Yeah, Scene Torque.
[1:20:05] That's better than what we have right now.
[1:20:07] Yes, I will agree. Anyway, Salah versus Yamal.
[1:20:10] And. Salah, I think Salah wins.
[1:20:13] Salah unfortunately wins. Should I give Yamala
[1:20:15] consolation? No, no, because Salah's been
[1:20:17] that dumb. I could if you want.
[1:20:19] I go Yamal, you go Yamal. But Sal, the charity point Salah
[1:20:22] wins this one. So listen, Salah is the it's
[1:20:26] this is this is the way to do it.
[1:20:27] Gentlemen, this is how we find absolutes.
[1:20:31] So we, we've, we agree that Salah is the best player so far
[1:20:35] this season of the 2425 season. Gentlemen, what do you think of
[1:20:39] the bracket? I think we missed a couple of
[1:20:41] times, but yeah. I think why?
[1:20:43] Why? A lot of debatable.
[1:20:43] Ones making it to whatever the fuck you made.
[1:20:46] Big, big issue. Forget Rafina, I don't know why
[1:20:48] you you're sticking on that, but even the Bellingham Vinny, I
[1:20:52] think we missed on that one. You think you we missed?
[1:20:54] You know, we said Vinny going forward.
[1:20:55] That Vinny threw. Warts.
[1:20:57] Warts. We missed.
[1:20:59] Words we missed I. Think we should take a picture
[1:21:00] of this and redo this at the end of the season?
[1:21:02] And see what. Happens.
[1:21:03] See what happens. The shots are.
[1:21:05] They will be bad. Would you change the?
[1:21:06] Seats or we keep the same. Seats.
[1:21:08] Well, I. Think no.
[1:21:09] I think because Gilcharisch might not be in again this
[1:21:11] season. I see.
[1:21:12] We redo it and we see. We see.
[1:21:14] Like Vinny had a path at a semi final.
[1:21:16] Trial and novel. Classic Real Madrid, by the way.
[1:21:18] Yeah, I know, easy path. But yeah, I mean, that's our
[1:21:21] bracket. Hopefully you stayed till the
[1:21:23] end to see unless you predicted that we would say Salah, which
[1:21:26] is not actually out of the I've said this many podcast that he's
[1:21:30] the best player in the world. But really, maybe you can catch
[1:21:34] a little bit of that inter game. I see.
[1:21:35] I saw chala noodles for the band 3.
[1:21:37] Nothing it's done. Yeah. 3 Nothing.
[1:21:39] Anyway I. Just want to say that Juventus
[1:21:40] beat Calyati 4 zero damn. We're not as good as you, baby.
[1:21:44] Damn, it's OK. Listen, I take, I take my wins
[1:21:47] where I can. But gentlemen, this is our last
[1:21:49] podcast of the 2024 year ever. No, no, no, we're not going to
[1:21:54] do them like that. But we'll see you guys
[1:21:56] definitely in 2025. And have a good new year.
[1:22:00] Happy New Year.
