Getting kicked out by her parents for dating a questionable man, how to be funny and why she's never wanted to visit the states, Jo Brand was one of the first female comics to break through, and has gone on to become a beloved household name, now hosting the Bake Off's Extra Slice. Jo chats to me about how antidepressants saved her father's life \[07.57\], her hatred of adverts \[17.43\] and why the abuse from hecklers at comedy gigs was nothing compared to her work on the ward \[40.35\].
