[0:00] Speaker 1: And welcome to the John's Family podcast for this week
[0:03] Speaker 1: post Magic Round pre State of Origin, and it's huge,
[0:07] Speaker 1: I tell what, we're just sort of getting back to
[0:09] Speaker 1: our best, to our greatest. Because there was a few
[0:12] Speaker 1: sad faces post.
[0:14] Speaker 2: Magic Round, mainly on you.
[0:17] Speaker 1: Yeah there was. That's fair, Col. That's fair Col to
[0:20] Speaker 1: a lot of sad faces when we went into Fox Sports.
[0:23] Speaker 1: So we woke up Monday morning to get the flight
[0:27] Speaker 1: out of Brisbane. Unfortunately, our flight got canceled weather, didn't you,
[0:31] Speaker 1: terrible weather. We had to drive all the way to
[0:33] Speaker 1: the Gold Coast and get a flight there, and then
[0:35] Speaker 1: I had to go and do some work.
[0:36] Speaker 3: Hang on, I love that all the way to the
[0:38] Speaker 3: Gold Coast, buddy. That's as long as it takes for
[0:41] Speaker 3: us to get to the airport from our home in Sydney.
[0:43] Speaker 2: What's that about fifty minutes an hour and a half.
[0:45] Speaker 3: It's an hour an hour and a half and a
[0:49] Speaker 3: half because it's the other side of.
[0:51] Speaker 1: Side course traffic and it was absolutely torrential range it
[0:54] Speaker 1: took us now to have to get there. Oh, get
[0:56] Speaker 1: get off, may go into work, do you know? And
[0:59] Speaker 1: I had to a I think Fox Sports are going
[1:01] Speaker 1: to going to clone me. You believe that, Well, I
[1:04] Speaker 1: don't know.
[1:05] Speaker 3: We need to talk about this.
[1:08] Speaker 2: They're cloning you.
[1:09] Speaker 1: Well, like I'm not going to get into it now.
[1:11] Speaker 1: It's a little bit later.
[1:12] Speaker 3: But do you mean they're aing you?
[1:15] Speaker 1: I'm being cloned. I'm back in there again today for
[1:17] Speaker 1: the second session.
[1:17] Speaker 3: So this is why the American the scriptwriters and the
[1:22] Speaker 3: actors all went on strike that time.
[1:25] Speaker 2: And they're just going to use technically, they have to
[1:27] Speaker 2: pay for his you know what I mean, his clone.
[1:30] Speaker 2: That's still you, brother, the rights to your client.
[1:31] Speaker 4: And Matthew, we know your mannerisms made. It's all the
[1:34] Speaker 4: intangibles made everything you do, mate, It's just it's what
[1:37] Speaker 4: you don't see is what is funny actions.
[1:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, they feed, they're feeding a thing into the computer.
[1:45] Speaker 1: And it was foreign questions back so they were going,
[1:47] Speaker 1: let's say, for instance, storm versus mainly going, OKAYU is
[1:53] Speaker 1: injured and someone replaces him, what would you do if
[1:55] Speaker 1: you're Craig Bellmy And I've got to answer. I laid
[1:58] Speaker 1: those ones in and then I'm back in there today
[2:00] Speaker 1: and they're going to computer generate me. Sorry, did you show?
[2:04] Speaker 3: Are you asking what they're doing with this what's the purpose?
[2:07] Speaker 3: We probably should.
[2:09] Speaker 2: Can they put hair on it? Maybe a couple of
[2:14] Speaker 2: extra inches as well. I'm not talking about height.
[2:16] Speaker 1: Brother, shave a little bit off your nose and popped
[2:19] Speaker 1: on the old fellow. That'd be fantastic over your skin.
[2:24] Speaker 3: Had a fellow over today and he showed you an shoulders,
[2:27] Speaker 3: showed us an old video of you that you did
[2:29] Speaker 3: for his son, your fletch. I don't know how many
[2:32] Speaker 3: years ago, but Jesus, you look young.
[2:34] Speaker 1: Really, it's unbelievable. Oh my lord said it was four years?
[2:38] Speaker 3: Is that all you've really gone down hill?
[2:42] Speaker 1: It was like it was like twenty years. We do
[2:44] Speaker 1: that all the time. We'll show things from past shows,
[2:46] Speaker 1: even just a year ago. In one year, you go,
[2:48] Speaker 1: oh it is it is fun. We've been doing it
[2:51] Speaker 1: is crazy.
[2:51] Speaker 2: How like I even even I'll look at videos like
[2:54] Speaker 2: maybe a piece of content from like two years ago,
[2:56] Speaker 2: when I like first week on the radio or something.
[3:00] Speaker 2: Holy shit, I look different.
[3:02] Speaker 3: You look older.
[3:03] Speaker 1: You look what like?
[3:05] Speaker 3: Look older?
[3:06] Speaker 1: You're you guys like yourself and Jack. You guys are
[3:11] Speaker 1: climbing to the peak, like climbing to where you started vitoring.
[3:14] Speaker 1: Look really good. We're unfortunately going down the other side
[3:17] Speaker 1: just slightly ahead of me.
[3:19] Speaker 2: No, Dad, I got to say, I think like you're
[3:22] Speaker 2: in pretty good neck. Yeah, you're pretty handsome. There was
[3:25] Speaker 2: a period there, Jack, remember when dad had that real
[3:27] Speaker 2: fat head. You had, like a real fatah and you're
[3:30] Speaker 2: on your show It on Top. Yeah, You're on Fox
[3:33] Speaker 2: and you had this fat head and like it was
[3:36] Speaker 2: not good. It was like it was like you tried
[3:38] Speaker 2: to bulk up but there was not much like shred
[3:40] Speaker 2: City going on, and all the weight like sort of
[3:42] Speaker 2: stored in your head.
[3:43] Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, that was.
[3:44] Speaker 1: People saying him at the time, that makes sense. I
[3:46] Speaker 1: was getting people from Newcastle texting me going, oh my god,
[3:49] Speaker 1: you look so much like your father.
[3:51] Speaker 3: And I was like around around.
[3:56] Speaker 4: When you were playing your body, Your body, Cobber. There's
[3:58] Speaker 4: photos of you after the ground waving your shirt around
[4:01] Speaker 4: and I'll tell you what they ain't flattering.
[4:03] Speaker 3: No, I don't know why he did that. He actually
[4:05] Speaker 3: did a cartwheel too, you know.
[4:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, I've seen the footage, but looks anyone you did
[4:09] Speaker 2: have like and I get sports scientists different back then,
[4:12] Speaker 2: and you didn't spend a lot of time sloppy.
[4:17] Speaker 1: But may I remind you what's the old saying, I
[4:20] Speaker 1: don't know what sport is five percent mental, sorry percent physical.
[4:29] Speaker 1: I'm the perfect example of that. Although the body was shot,
[4:32] Speaker 1: the brain was his show look.
[4:33] Speaker 3: A camera and Smith. You still always say he's got
[4:37] Speaker 3: the body of an accountant.
[4:38] Speaker 1: Yes, shocking body.
[4:39] Speaker 4: I guess you had to do legs back then, Coba, so.
[4:42] Speaker 3: He had great thighs, all those stars he didn't.
[4:47] Speaker 2: Excuse.
[4:49] Speaker 3: The ass was nothing to run home about. But the
[4:51] Speaker 3: eyes were lovely until you ripped it. Everyone Matt has
[4:55] Speaker 3: this torn quad still, like if you run your hand
[4:58] Speaker 3: over his quad, do that next time you see please
[5:00] Speaker 3: ask him for In the last.
[5:02] Speaker 1: Minute of a game against the Roosters Friday night football
[5:04] Speaker 1: in seven early rounds, and I just decided, okay, siren's gone,
[5:09] Speaker 1: I'll just kick the ball down field and it roll
[5:10] Speaker 1: in touch. We're here by baut eight points. As I
[5:13] Speaker 1: did it, I've been shot in the quad and I
[5:16] Speaker 1: ruptured the quad completely off the bar.
[5:18] Speaker 3: And it's there's this big lump. You can see it.
[5:20] Speaker 2: But you can remember. He used to get all my
[5:22] Speaker 2: mates and they come up with sleepovers to feel this
[5:23] Speaker 2: quote what they called it, Yeah a little bit were eleven, Yeah.
[5:29] Speaker 3: Oh, luis, he's got puppy pete feet when he keeps
[5:33] Speaker 3: standing in his own pee.
[5:35] Speaker 1: Who doesn't it's not nice. Look before we talk about
[5:38] Speaker 1: magic ground, the first question to the person on your right.
[5:41] Speaker 1: If the person on your right, was it an emotion
[5:44] Speaker 1: or a trait of any kind? Which would they be?
[5:47] Speaker 2: Why I'll go first? I like going first.
[5:50] Speaker 3: This is going to be interesting.
[5:51] Speaker 2: It's very hard to narrow it down for Trish, given
[5:54] Speaker 2: that she's like.
[5:55] Speaker 1: A roller coaster words for annoying.
[5:57] Speaker 2: I chose a movie, the movie Split, which is James McAvoy,
[6:02] Speaker 2: and it's.
[6:03] Speaker 3: How many personality does he?
[6:04] Speaker 2: Here's about thirty six, so it's split multiple personality disorder.
[6:07] Speaker 2: But one of the main ones is Patricia.
[6:10] Speaker 1: Yes, she's an angry Yeah.
[6:16] Speaker 2: Are you shifting personalities now?
[6:18] Speaker 4: Like?
[6:18] Speaker 2: Are you trying to morph into me? I can't even speak,
[6:21] Speaker 2: But the main one is Patricia. The other one that
[6:23] Speaker 2: fits Trisha's the beast. He's like the aggressive one in it.
[6:27] Speaker 2: And then there's a kid and an accountant in there.
[6:30] Speaker 3: But Trish, because you know what, I'll own all of
[6:32] Speaker 3: those I am. I'm you know, And everybody needs to
[6:37] Speaker 3: understand this. The professional victims that go wandering around in
[6:40] Speaker 3: this world going oh, they're not nice to me or whatever.
[6:45] Speaker 3: You go, yeah, like you, babe, I don't I just
[6:47] Speaker 3: ignore you.
[6:49] Speaker 4: Shot.
[6:49] Speaker 1: I'm really must have.
[6:55] Speaker 3: You respond to who you're with and how you treated.
[6:58] Speaker 5: Well.
[6:58] Speaker 3: If I'm around lovely people, oh they warm my heart.
[7:02] Speaker 3: But if I'm around real assholes, I'm going.
[7:04] Speaker 4: To give it back.
[7:05] Speaker 3: I'm not going to sit there and go, oh where
[7:07] Speaker 3: is me?
[7:07] Speaker 2: So you're saying, okay, just real, arshole, Just get this correct.
[7:11] Speaker 2: You're saying, like, you know, if we might put a
[7:14] Speaker 2: bit of shit on you every now and then or
[7:15] Speaker 2: say how you're cooking s burnt or something like that,
[7:17] Speaker 2: you don't go, poor me, I'm not going to cook
[7:20] Speaker 2: ever again?
[7:20] Speaker 1: Or pour me.
[7:21] Speaker 2: You goes, are mean to me and go have a
[7:22] Speaker 2: glass of wine with Rosemary.
[7:25] Speaker 3: Do I say that?
[7:26] Speaker 4: Literally?
[7:26] Speaker 3: Do I say that? Look at you with disgusts and
[7:31] Speaker 3: go yeah, round the room?
[7:33] Speaker 4: Jack? Last week literally, she said on a Tuesday to
[7:37] Speaker 4: us Last week, to me and JEMs, she goes, I'm
[7:39] Speaker 4: gonna cook chicken tonight? Is everyone keen? And we went yet?
[7:43] Speaker 4: Then four o'clock rolls around, she goes, I don't feel
[7:44] Speaker 4: like cooking, so we go, no, no.
[7:46] Speaker 3: That's not true.
[7:47] Speaker 4: Let it talk.
[7:49] Speaker 3: For dinner and you all went to dinner. I didn't
[7:52] Speaker 3: actually go to dinner.
[7:53] Speaker 4: Yeah, because you then canceled your whole plan that you
[7:56] Speaker 4: asked us for in the first place. And then the
[7:58] Speaker 4: next day I've gone on to Alexandria with and Gem's
[8:02] Speaker 4: working in or Sydney, and then we go, let's go
[8:05] Speaker 4: into Neutral Bay, get some ram and for dinner. We
[8:07] Speaker 4: made our own plans. Trish goes, you guys are for
[8:10] Speaker 4: dinner here for dinner? Right the chicken? No, So then
[8:12] Speaker 4: that was yesterday. Today's a different day.
[8:14] Speaker 3: And she goes, same chicken.
[8:16] Speaker 4: Yeah, But then she goes, oh, screw you guys, I'm
[8:19] Speaker 4: never cooking again.
[8:20] Speaker 3: Yeah, I did, right, I did say that in chat.
[8:23] Speaker 4: But it made no sense whatsoever.
[8:25] Speaker 3: No, I have to let you know something you might
[8:27] Speaker 3: not be aware of.
[8:28] Speaker 2: Hang on.
[8:28] Speaker 3: I checked with Gim that morning. He said, oh, yummy,
[8:30] Speaker 3: that'll be great.
[8:31] Speaker 1: I don't throw into it.
[8:33] Speaker 3: You know what, I'm okay with.
[8:34] Speaker 1: Jim, get in here. We should put it on. What
[8:38] Speaker 1: did you do? What did you do all that? Because
[8:43] Speaker 1: I've got asked a few times. I have a magic ground.
[8:45] Speaker 1: But your mum's really, your mum's quite funny.
[8:48] Speaker 3: Your mom, Dale.
[8:49] Speaker 1: Went, Trish, hold on a second, okay, Trish, your turned unload.
[8:54] Speaker 3: Oh, mister estrogen beside me. Honestly, in the last three
[9:01] Speaker 3: days he's cried about five times.
[9:03] Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's your big and I don't know what's
[9:06] Speaker 2: wrong with him. I said this to Jack last night.
[9:08] Speaker 2: I said, Dad's dad's had a big weekend.
[9:10] Speaker 3: No, it's just teary a everything. He cried when we're away.
[9:13] Speaker 3: He saw someone he hadn't seen for a long time.
[9:16] Speaker 3: He cried. He heard some bad news about a person.
[9:19] Speaker 3: He cried, which is nice and nice, but usually that
[9:22] Speaker 3: wouldn't make you cry. When I first met you, I
[9:25] Speaker 3: had never seen you cry. Now, probably not even at
[9:28] Speaker 3: the birth of our children.
[9:29] Speaker 2: I hadn't seen you cry until I was about eighteen
[9:32] Speaker 2: or Nineen. Now it's I saw a cry more than
[9:35] Speaker 2: I don't see you cry on the pillow.
[9:37] Speaker 3: Guys, now you've turned into your dad.
[9:39] Speaker 2: When you're biting.
[9:40] Speaker 3: I've told you that again.
[9:43] Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you for your vulnerability. That made me feel awkward. Yeah, okay,
[9:49] Speaker 1: you know what, well, I cried the times because there
[9:53] Speaker 1: was some really bad news yesterday.
[9:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, but what about awful, But what about the times
[9:57] Speaker 2: before that when you always crying.
[9:59] Speaker 3: I'm just he went to his draw last night and
[10:02] Speaker 3: it started bursting tears because he saw a photo of Charlie.
[10:06] Speaker 2: Oh cheer.
[10:07] Speaker 3: I know you are a sweet man.
[10:10] Speaker 1: That was Yeah, that was really sad because your Luigi
[10:13] Speaker 1: just gives you sort of like, I don't know, just
[10:16] Speaker 1: the pangs of guilt.
[10:17] Speaker 2: Do you think maybe that like you were crying though,
[10:19] Speaker 2: because given the amount of alcohol you drank at Magic
[10:22] Speaker 2: Round and like a sleep and.
[10:24] Speaker 1: I don't think so. I mean well, I mean the
[10:26] Speaker 1: time that I was just talking about Paul Harry in
[10:28] Speaker 1: here with Keegan heath Grave and I just burst into tears.
[10:31] Speaker 4: It wasn't even an emotional story you're talking about before
[10:33] Speaker 4: the Grand Final.
[10:34] Speaker 2: But Dad, you cried because remember remember the night before
[10:38] Speaker 2: you had a massive night and you showed up hung
[10:39] Speaker 2: over to that interview. Do you not remember that?
[10:42] Speaker 3: And that's why you cried because the nominator.
[10:44] Speaker 2: Even after it you said, I have no idea where
[10:45] Speaker 2: I was cry. I'm sorry, I had a massive night. Okay,
[10:49] Speaker 2: Can I have my emotion for Cooper?
[10:51] Speaker 4: Yes I was still on that. Yes I went for
[10:55] Speaker 4: willful ignorance. John. So this is it choosing not to know,
[11:00] Speaker 4: ignoring facts, avoiding uncomfortable truths, and proudly staying uninformed even
[11:06] Speaker 4: when information is right there, weaponized laziness of the mind.
[11:10] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[11:11] Speaker 2: I think ignorance is the most powerful to you can have.
[11:15] Speaker 2: I think emotion because you just push everything aside. Don't
[11:18] Speaker 2: worry about what other people think of you now.
[11:21] Speaker 3: I need to care.
[11:22] Speaker 1: No, I think you are slightly I can understand what
[11:25] Speaker 1: you're saying. I don't think it's ignorance. I think naivity
[11:28] Speaker 1: sometimes is a gift, you know, when you think too much.
[11:31] Speaker 1: When people think too much, the brain gets in the way.
[11:33] Speaker 1: But people who sometimes you look at them and they
[11:35] Speaker 1: go quite naive, they just get on with it.
[11:38] Speaker 3: Yeah, but hang on, Or is that just a superior
[11:41] Speaker 3: power because I don't care what people think of me,
[11:43] Speaker 3: because at the end of the day, anyone can say
[11:45] Speaker 3: anything they like about me. They can make out the
[11:48] Speaker 3: greatest piece of bullshit and but true anyone I know.
[11:54] Speaker 3: So you just go, well, I can't control that.
[11:56] Speaker 2: I can tell that you don't care what anyone thinks.
[11:58] Speaker 2: I don't tell about what you're wearing today.
[12:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, Did you just come from a rock fight
[12:03] Speaker 1: for Jack.
[12:03] Speaker 3: I've gone, you're not even a funny joke that when
[12:08] Speaker 3: you know.
[12:08] Speaker 1: All about funny unfunny jokes, of course we'll get Yeah,
[12:12] Speaker 1: mine for Jack, you know, and you guys, I wrote
[12:16] Speaker 1: this question down last night when I was in quite
[12:18] Speaker 1: an emotional state. I am, visits been really nice break.
[12:22] Speaker 1: So for Jack, Mine's pretty simple. With Jack. It took
[12:25] Speaker 1: me about five seconds work it out. It's integrity level
[12:29] Speaker 1: of that? Am I right? Am I? Yeah?
[12:33] Speaker 3: I would say proud.
[12:34] Speaker 2: I would say he's a man of principal.
[12:36] Speaker 1: He's a man of principal. Sometimes I go, mate, just
[12:39] Speaker 1: a little bit to your to your advantage. But everywhere
[12:43] Speaker 1: I go, every I went in Magic Ground, people like, mate,
[12:45] Speaker 1: where's Jack? And that I said, you know, mate, we
[12:49] Speaker 1: want to meet him. And I'm going, hey, guys, what
[12:51] Speaker 1: am I? What? Am I pot plant.
[12:55] Speaker 2: Reading TV?
[12:56] Speaker 1: Wasn't it? Josh? Just quickly thank you to everyone. Was
[13:00] Speaker 1: the Magic Ground, particularly.
[13:01] Speaker 3: Our life podcast was It was awesome.
[13:04] Speaker 1: Magic Ground is better than Vegas.
[13:05] Speaker 3: Way over a thousand people at our show and do
[13:08] Speaker 3: you know what our people are awesome. It just felt
[13:11] Speaker 3: the love in the space.
[13:12] Speaker 2: It was beautiful, It was amazing, and it was so
[13:15] Speaker 2: like to see the amount of people that showed up
[13:18] Speaker 2: for our live show and also just the crowd interaction,
[13:22] Speaker 2: the amount of equal females and males that get into
[13:25] Speaker 2: our family podcast in our backstage episodes. I mean, it
[13:28] Speaker 2: was just amazing.
[13:29] Speaker 3: And that's a very interesting thing. I think our breakdown
[13:34] Speaker 3: demographic shows a larger portion of males. However, we have
[13:39] Speaker 3: a hidden female audience who I think listen with their partners.
[13:47] Speaker 3: So the Instagram sorry with the podcast or Spotify or
[13:51] Speaker 3: the podcast thing might be under the male thing. Therefore
[13:57] Speaker 3: they're getting that demographic.
[13:59] Speaker 1: Wow.
[14:00] Speaker 2: I know we were to be sitting in the room
[14:02] Speaker 2: with Steve Jobs.
[14:03] Speaker 3: I was thinking, well, Albert Einstein, but whatever.
[14:06] Speaker 1: Jobs, Jack, will you do the breakdowns all the time?
[14:10] Speaker 4: Yeah, can you give Yeah, it's a male, it's a male.
[14:15] Speaker 4: The males have the majority listenership here. But but yeah,
[14:18] Speaker 4: I think it's it's also we get a lot of people,
[14:20] Speaker 4: like I come across people that use different people's accounts,
[14:23] Speaker 4: use their partner's account, so I listened together or they
[14:25] Speaker 4: listened in the car together on the way to work,
[14:27] Speaker 4: or yeah, it's it's I will agree that Magic Ground
[14:31] Speaker 4: was very It was a very mixed and very good
[14:34] Speaker 4: audience and everyone was very friendly as well. Coop. But
[14:36] Speaker 4: I think even the days leading into the show, even
[14:39] Speaker 4: the morning of, I saw a few of our listeners
[14:41] Speaker 4: getting into their work early about eight am.
[14:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, and heavy alcoholics.
[14:46] Speaker 4: Bagels and yeah, it was it was great, It was Jack.
[14:49] Speaker 1: Didn't see many of the jerseys that you design.
[14:53] Speaker 4: Plenty of them up there. That was good. There was
[14:54] Speaker 4: plenty of the live show, but I saw a fair
[14:56] Speaker 4: few at the cast and we got there and there
[14:58] Speaker 4: was a few blokes wearing it, throwing the ball. There
[15:00] Speaker 4: was a there was like a past the footy contest
[15:02] Speaker 4: there at the Caxton. None of our jersey holders did
[15:04] Speaker 4: as any proud.
[15:06] Speaker 2: That couldn't pass up the right.
[15:07] Speaker 1: We didn't have our side. Just as funny when Nice
[15:12] Speaker 1: versus Titans, people said, mate, what about it? You can't
[15:15] Speaker 1: lose Jesus felt like it.
[15:19] Speaker 3: Who in the second half could have been.
[15:22] Speaker 1: Mate left his again to left his with sensational.
[15:24] Speaker 3: I didn't go I didn't go out. I didn't venture out.
[15:28] Speaker 2: I barely left left.
[15:29] Speaker 3: I know. My highlight of Magic Round was a fifteen
[15:32] Speaker 3: hour sleep. Yeah good, Yeah, I didn't go out. I
[15:35] Speaker 3: went for dinner and lunch.
[15:37] Speaker 1: And went out with a few of us were catching
[15:41] Speaker 1: up with Maddie and Abel and a lot of the
[15:42] Speaker 1: manly old boys, including good made of his Chappo who
[15:46] Speaker 1: and you know, I tear something Names Naves lost his
[15:49] Speaker 1: brother Aaron to m n D and Names just throws
[15:52] Speaker 1: himself into the charity. And he's had a really good
[15:53] Speaker 1: friend Chapo who has and he was there and all
[15:57] Speaker 1: the manly boys took him away going for a trip.
[16:00] Speaker 1: It's just awesome. And that's what the Weigand is all about.
[16:02] Speaker 1: I don't know. They show it on news and that
[16:05] Speaker 1: there were a few fights in that, but I don't
[16:07] Speaker 1: see any grow up there.
[16:09] Speaker 3: It's a real great vibe.
[16:10] Speaker 1: And the about.
[16:12] Speaker 6: The wist fans are crazy, unbelieve every I did sideline
[16:17] Speaker 6: for that game Brisbane Warriors, and I was doing an
[16:20] Speaker 6: ob out the front for radio and Mate for a
[16:24] Speaker 6: good kilometer and a half I was watching.
[16:26] Speaker 2: There was just an army of wives fans, party of
[16:28] Speaker 2: sun court and it was never ending.
[16:29] Speaker 3: They didn't actually it was an organized march.
[16:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, there was. And then when I got the sideline,
[16:34] Speaker 2: when they would go in the teamless you know number
[16:36] Speaker 2: one rees Walsh boo the whole of Suncourt boo, every
[16:40] Speaker 2: Broncos player and every Wise player.
[16:43] Speaker 4: Yeah ship, it was.
[16:44] Speaker 2: It was a home game for New Zealand.
[16:45] Speaker 1: It's so true. I just missed it because of work.
[16:48] Speaker 1: I just missed the start of the game, the first
[16:49] Speaker 1: ten minutes and there was this massive roar of the
[16:52] Speaker 1: try and I thought it just sounded like, you know,
[16:54] Speaker 1: the raw. Yet when I play like Reye Walsh's scores
[16:56] Speaker 1: and Irena thought, I don't miss his try, it looked
[16:59] Speaker 1: up and it was as yeah, it's a Wise home game.
[17:02] Speaker 2: It was insane. It was bloody insane. But can we
[17:04] Speaker 2: just get back to the live show for a second,
[17:06] Speaker 2: because Trush, we hyped it up for the last month.
[17:09] Speaker 2: You had to do a stand up routine. I want
[17:11] Speaker 2: to get your impression because you just said before, you know,
[17:14] Speaker 2: I don't care what anyone thinks about me. And it's.
[17:19] Speaker 3: The proof of that is that I wasn't nervous.
[17:22] Speaker 1: Okay, maybe you should have been.
[17:26] Speaker 4: I was actually surprised by how calm you were. I'm
[17:29] Speaker 4: not going to lie. Yeah, even when you got up
[17:31] Speaker 4: there in front of and let's say, how many people
[17:33] Speaker 4: did you say to you were actually there?
[17:34] Speaker 2: Did you the security, gut come over. He said, this
[17:37] Speaker 2: is the at Fanland. He was like, mate, this is
[17:39] Speaker 2: the most people we've had all weekend. When you guys
[17:41] Speaker 2: opened the doors to Your Life show, over a thousand
[17:44] Speaker 2: people came in. Usually were used to about four hundred
[17:46] Speaker 2: and as soon as you guys finished, six hundred left.
[17:49] Speaker 3: Wow. Well the game was on. There was a game
[17:51] Speaker 3: that some people.
[17:52] Speaker 2: Were it was alls. No, he actually did say that.
[17:56] Speaker 2: He was like, he said, this is the most amount
[17:57] Speaker 2: people we've had.
[17:58] Speaker 1: Any I know did the show at the Sports Bar
[18:03] Speaker 1: and the Star. They're fantastic there. John who is a
[18:06] Speaker 1: vild we dealt with him, great.
[18:08] Speaker 4: Blake and also the crew is a rise.
[18:11] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah.
[18:11] Speaker 4: They did a great job.
[18:12] Speaker 3: To Rach and Sam George. Yeah, very organized.
[18:16] Speaker 2: But your stand up well, I don't know.
[18:18] Speaker 3: You tell me, Cooper.
[18:19] Speaker 2: I just want to know how you've listened back to it.
[18:21] Speaker 1: Let's get around. How do you write yourself out of ten?
[18:23] Speaker 1: Let's do it?
[18:23] Speaker 2: How did I want to know?
[18:25] Speaker 3: Eddie Murphy. I'm not delusional, but as Cooper said, when I,
[18:30] Speaker 3: you know, comparted in Hi the week before that, I
[18:32] Speaker 3: was panicking a little bit and maybe I shouldn't do it.
[18:35] Speaker 3: Because I didn't want to, you know, put that stress
[18:37] Speaker 3: on myself. And he said, no, don't worry about it, Trish,
[18:40] Speaker 3: No one actually expects you to be funny.
[18:42] Speaker 1: That's what's going to be over.
[18:43] Speaker 2: To you, Coop and okay, thank god she what she
[18:46] Speaker 2: just said. Then she opened the stand up with that
[18:49] Speaker 2: thinking it was a joke, like thinking, isn't that a
[18:51] Speaker 2: great stand up joke? Look at this. Didn't know a
[18:54] Speaker 2: single person.
[18:55] Speaker 3: Laugh because they thought you were really mean.
[18:57] Speaker 2: I think you're doing stand up them to just make
[19:00] Speaker 2: oh they wanted to finish the seven minute stand up
[19:02] Speaker 2: and think, Okay, so her family is kind of mean
[19:05] Speaker 2: to her. Rather than making anyone laugh, you literally just
[19:08] Speaker 2: went through your entire life story. So I remember when
[19:11] Speaker 2: I first met Matt and I used to look at
[19:13] Speaker 2: him with admiration, But now I look at him, I go,
[19:16] Speaker 2: I can't believe I'm legally tied to him. That was
[19:18] Speaker 2: one of your jokes. That was how I finished, And
[19:20] Speaker 2: it should have been finished way before that.
[19:23] Speaker 1: What a big finish.
[19:24] Speaker 3: I thought that was one of the best bits.
[19:26] Speaker 4: Should I should I chuck this in the podcast We've
[19:29] Speaker 4: Got You've cut down like a four minute version.
[19:31] Speaker 3: Of the who was my highlights.
[19:35] Speaker 2: You should insert just some of the like just a
[19:37] Speaker 2: little two minute snippet of Jesus is Color.
[19:40] Speaker 1: So we introduce it right now, Ladies and gentlemen, introducing
[19:44] Speaker 1: Trius John's all.
[19:46] Speaker 5: The Boys days at any time of the day. And
[19:50] Speaker 5: it's the other day.
[19:59] Speaker 7: I had attack and I said to Cooper, I don't
[20:02] Speaker 7: think I can do it. And you know what you said, Mom,
[20:07] Speaker 7: don't worry with it. No one expects you to be funny,
[20:09] Speaker 7: but that's what's going to be funny. Then I like,
[20:13] Speaker 7: wonderful you.
[20:14] Speaker 5: So you've set me up to fail.
[20:15] Speaker 3: From your answer.
[20:18] Speaker 5: The thing is that with that is if I'm drinking,
[20:21] Speaker 5: he hates it, and if I'm more drinking, he hates
[20:24] Speaker 5: it even more. I think because I think he thinks
[20:26] Speaker 5: I become superior, which I kind of do, and I
[20:29] Speaker 5: have a judgment, which I also do.
[20:32] Speaker 2: Has the comedy started shop.
[20:36] Speaker 5: Cooper, A friend of mine said, if there are any hairplers,
[20:39] Speaker 5: I should say for them that you should save your
[20:42] Speaker 5: breath for.
[20:43] Speaker 4: The blow up day.
[20:44] Speaker 3: You'll have a m life.
[20:46] Speaker 5: So anyway, in preparation, part of it was I gave
[20:50] Speaker 5: up drinking the other day. Mine of putting up drinking
[20:52] Speaker 5: was quite successful because I had a really bad hangover
[20:55] Speaker 5: asking about the spy too. Girlfriend suggested that I have
[20:59] Speaker 5: like lemonade zero out of wine glass and that worked.
[21:03] Speaker 5: I felt, fine, that's the same sort effect that's sweep.
[21:07] Speaker 5: By day six, I was actually banging on my neighbor's
[21:09] Speaker 5: doorgo can you pul snake for me?
[21:12] Speaker 4: And she did.
[21:13] Speaker 6: Yes.
[21:15] Speaker 5: Jack's really cute about me drinking. He likes me kind
[21:18] Speaker 5: of drinking. When he was a little kid, we used
[21:19] Speaker 5: to hear this time restaurant every Thursday night and back
[21:21] Speaker 5: was at work and it was one of the few
[21:23] Speaker 5: places in Australia that's good soul all the West Coast
[21:26] Speaker 5: schoolers and he'd be like, Mom, you either.
[21:28] Speaker 2: Get a West Coast coolers.
[21:29] Speaker 5: I'm like, I sure do well. Cooper Cooper does not
[21:33] Speaker 5: like me jorking. He likes me at home cooking his
[21:37] Speaker 5: favorite meals just in case he happened to be home
[21:39] Speaker 5: to have one of them, and his nit love a Rackfoo.
[21:43] Speaker 5: He sort of does all his business at home, play schools.
[21:46] Speaker 5: Anything you know about Cooper is when you open the
[21:48] Speaker 5: door on Sunday morning around midday and get that stench
[21:53] Speaker 5: from his night before. Yeah, up, he's home.
[21:56] Speaker 2: Let's seemen. That was too funny.
[21:59] Speaker 3: I didn't work really, did it?
[22:01] Speaker 1: Really?
[22:01] Speaker 5: Now the only male in my household that's happiness is
[22:05] Speaker 5: a little Louise gi copy. So the minute I walk
[22:08] Speaker 5: in the door, he's like that excited to see me itself.
[22:12] Speaker 3: I've just come back from war.
[22:15] Speaker 5: He's workings and there's crime and even a little bit
[22:19] Speaker 5: of wi And it's a little like when I got
[22:23] Speaker 5: home from Babis.
[22:26] Speaker 3: Let's check John's a favorite site.
[22:30] Speaker 5: So they were away at the end of last year,
[22:32] Speaker 5: he took on next of king duties for out eighteen.
[22:36] Speaker 3: Year old cats.
[22:39] Speaker 2: Yeah wow, since seconds, what did you think of that?
[22:48] Speaker 1: Now you've listened to yourself.
[22:50] Speaker 3: I haven't listened to it.
[22:53] Speaker 1: Left the room.
[22:54] Speaker 3: I couldn't make it up. So to fat you on
[22:57] Speaker 3: the flight home. You're on the same flight, but we
[22:59] Speaker 3: were sitting away from each other. You actually sent me
[23:03] Speaker 3: a text when we landed and said, actually, just watched
[23:06] Speaker 3: your stand up back. It wasn't that bad. It was
[23:09] Speaker 3: actually funny.
[23:10] Speaker 2: You suck No I you said that. I said that
[23:13] Speaker 2: because I said it was funny. In terms of being
[23:17] Speaker 2: a social clip, it'll be very funny.
[23:20] Speaker 3: I'm just providing content.
[23:21] Speaker 4: Apparently you're amazing, and you were amazing and some people.
[23:25] Speaker 4: What weaken me out the most was that we said
[23:28] Speaker 4: five minutes, you went for at least age and and
[23:32] Speaker 4: the fact that about four minutes in some people really
[23:36] Speaker 4: walked in at the rat at the wrong time because
[23:38] Speaker 4: they were just sitting there like walking, Oh what's this
[23:40] Speaker 4: show about? Listening to you for two minutes and they
[23:43] Speaker 4: kept I kept looking at them. They were looking at
[23:45] Speaker 4: the audience to see what was going on here.
[23:48] Speaker 1: If you get to see the video of Trish doing it,
[23:51] Speaker 1: rather what I want you to see is when you
[23:53] Speaker 1: see someone first, when you see people start to get
[23:56] Speaker 1: confident in their performance, right, people start and they hold
[23:59] Speaker 1: them upgraphone like vertical and there's it's a nerve the
[24:03] Speaker 1: you know, they're quite rigid. As people start to get
[24:05] Speaker 1: rather confident, they start to go at like you know,
[24:08] Speaker 1: horizontal and they started to, let you know, wave it
[24:10] Speaker 1: around like a Wand that was true. She was way
[24:13] Speaker 1: coming back. I said, the fuckly she thinks she's got Yeah.
[24:16] Speaker 2: My favorite, my actually favorite part of the live show.
[24:19] Speaker 2: And Joe, because obviously we got David from Maths up
[24:22] Speaker 2: as a special guest for you and we sort of
[24:24] Speaker 2: interviewed a bloke who knew absolutely nothing about rugby league hindsight.
[24:29] Speaker 4: Or us.
[24:29] Speaker 2: I had no idea what he was getting into, and
[24:32] Speaker 2: then realized when he got there, like, oh shit, these
[24:33] Speaker 2: guys draw quite a big crowd. They must be half
[24:36] Speaker 2: a big deal. We interviewed him. He stayed up watch
[24:38] Speaker 2: Trisha's stand up, going this horrible and then by the end,
[24:43] Speaker 2: by the end, it was so funny because Dad, you
[24:46] Speaker 2: had a couple of drinks and we were doing like
[24:47] Speaker 2: a draft of the best eneral halfbacks, and I thought,
[24:51] Speaker 2: you're I thought you're about a David stay in your
[24:54] Speaker 2: lane because David started doing snoring sounds because I'd go, oh,
[24:57] Speaker 2: you know, Tommy Rodonogus, and Dad went, rather than just
[25:00] Speaker 2: give us where you think he ranks in the top ten,
[25:03] Speaker 2: Dad to give a big long You diduge, but people
[25:09] Speaker 2: liked it because it's rabid league. But then David was
[25:11] Speaker 2: going clearly not reading the room that everybody in there
[25:14] Speaker 2: was a rebel leagues. But Dave was going.
[25:17] Speaker 1: Boring. I didn't I didn't mind it. I like the
[25:21] Speaker 1: fact that he felt comfortable enough.
[25:23] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. It was so funny because you
[25:25] Speaker 2: were so starstruck for him, and then he just turned
[25:27] Speaker 2: on you.
[25:28] Speaker 1: Before it started. Because when Dave came over, he was
[25:31] Speaker 1: so enthusiastic. He came over to me and he said,
[25:33] Speaker 1: he made it. You know, he get thanks man, I
[25:35] Speaker 1: really appreciate it's not American. When he comes, he goes,
[25:38] Speaker 1: you know, he's so enthusied. I mean, thank you so much.
[25:41] Speaker 1: I really appreciate being here. And I thought, oh, well,
[25:43] Speaker 1: you know, he obviously he knows who I am. So
[25:46] Speaker 1: you know, David, I'm sort of get my shoulders back
[25:47] Speaker 1: and he just went, so, man, what do you do
[25:52] Speaker 1: You really?
[25:54] Speaker 4: Yeah, he didn't know.
[25:58] Speaker 1: It didn't matter. He was what he did though. People
[26:01] Speaker 1: he gave us. He gave us some really great insights
[26:03] Speaker 1: because we said, have had the really nasty people on there,
[26:06] Speaker 1: the people that we've spoken of it before on this podcast.
[26:09] Speaker 1: And Trisha asked the question, I was just a clever
[26:12] Speaker 1: editing and he said, yeah, it was. It actually made
[26:14] Speaker 1: them look better than what they were just now in reality.
[26:17] Speaker 1: If if that is true, which I trust him, oh
[26:20] Speaker 1: my god, they must be despicable people.
[26:22] Speaker 3: He kind of said that you can't be edited badly
[26:25] Speaker 3: unless you're actually providing trust Why do you trust him?
[26:30] Speaker 1: I just do. You can see he's a good guy. Yeah,
[26:32] Speaker 1: you can see he's a really moralistic good guy.
[26:37] Speaker 2: Some of his rapping stuff I wish to you because
[26:39] Speaker 2: I tried to pressure him into doing a freestyle rap.
[26:41] Speaker 2: He wouldn't do it, but jesus, it would have been funny.
[26:44] Speaker 1: Half right, bull crap with a silence. So sorry, Dave. Well,
[26:48] Speaker 1: he's given it away. He knows himself. We said, how's
[26:50] Speaker 1: the rapp? Carrisid? I've given away? Have you found love?
[26:53] Speaker 1: But look, he got the ultimate reward out of that experiment.
[26:57] Speaker 1: People treating well in the streets.
[26:58] Speaker 8: They do.
[26:59] Speaker 2: People do it, Matthew. You have the new segment dream Team,
[27:02] Speaker 2: which is.
[27:02] Speaker 1: Dream Team and what we're gonna do this week. It's
[27:05] Speaker 1: it's the dream Team. You've got to pick four things,
[27:08] Speaker 1: and uh, the one I've got today is you going
[27:11] Speaker 1: to a party? People? You are asked to take four
[27:13] Speaker 1: classic albums to play at that party? Which one trash?
[27:17] Speaker 1: Which ones do you take?
[27:18] Speaker 4: Oh?
[27:18] Speaker 3: I'm taking Rodriguez, But I seem to have forgotten maybe
[27:21] Speaker 3: what the album name is.
[27:24] Speaker 1: Just say Rodriguez Rodriguez.
[27:26] Speaker 3: I'm going sugar Man, No wonder.
[27:33] Speaker 1: Going well?
[27:35] Speaker 3: That's starting the night, and then I'm also going to
[27:37] Speaker 3: cure some of there. And then I'm going Disintegration, which
[27:43] Speaker 3: is like a compilation of Oh No, it's not actually
[27:49] Speaker 3: yeah yeah yeah, New Order Discography, which is a complete singles.
[27:55] Speaker 4: Well, we're going to go compilations. I don't know.
[27:57] Speaker 1: I'll give it to you, but don't worry.
[28:00] Speaker 3: Greatest hits for most of them originally, so I did
[28:02] Speaker 3: refine it. But that's a great one. And Elton John
[28:06] Speaker 3: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
[28:07] Speaker 2: It's a good album. That's a good one. Yeah, okay,
[28:11] Speaker 2: I did. Now stay with.
[28:12] Speaker 3: Me on a few of these, right, are we going
[28:14] Speaker 3: to know the people?
[28:15] Speaker 2: You'll know? Dead Ship, Black Eyed Peas the end, I think,
[28:20] Speaker 2: and this is controversial.
[28:21] Speaker 1: End of the party.
[28:22] Speaker 2: This is no, it's not. I think it's one of
[28:25] Speaker 2: the best albums ever.
[28:26] Speaker 3: Okay, what songs are on that one?
[28:28] Speaker 2: Boom Boom boom, gotta get that Get Get you know
[28:32] Speaker 2: that one?
[28:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, but I don't love that one. I
[28:34] Speaker 3: hope that My favorite one is on the.
[28:35] Speaker 2: Rock that body Rock that Barty come on to as
[28:39] Speaker 2: you look across to see someone on the dance racked out,
[28:41] Speaker 2: meet Me Halfway, won Me okay, right on the borderline.
[28:44] Speaker 2: That's where I'm going to stay. Number four my favorite,
[28:48] Speaker 2: and it's in the Hangover. I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be,
[28:51] Speaker 2: I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be. Yeah, it's a good one.
[28:54] Speaker 2: And then five, I got a feeling just as the
[28:56] Speaker 2: night's tonight's going to be a good night with a
[28:59] Speaker 2: minute because will I yea Yeah, Jack got a photo
[29:02] Speaker 2: with it.
[29:02] Speaker 1: He did.
[29:03] Speaker 3: We made him get a photo with him. Jack was mortified.
[29:06] Speaker 2: Jack didn't even want it.
[29:07] Speaker 1: I didn't want to photo with Seal too.
[29:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So that was my first album, MJ Thriller. Obviously,
[29:14] Speaker 2: that's a great albanger. It's a banger, ring obviously, Beat
[29:17] Speaker 2: It Thriller, Billy Jean's Human Nature, Fleetwood Mac Rumors, Hard
[29:21] Speaker 2: to Be, Dream, Don't Stop, Go your own way in
[29:24] Speaker 2: the Chain, and then one of my personal favorites.
[29:26] Speaker 3: Do you actually listen to that cover?
[29:27] Speaker 4: Yeah? I do.
[29:28] Speaker 3: I didn't know you're a Fleetwood Mac boy.
[29:31] Speaker 2: I'm a man. But the Fray, now, you guys know,
[29:34] Speaker 2: I love the Fray. How to Save a Life, over
[29:37] Speaker 2: my Head and look after You. Kind of slow songs
[29:39] Speaker 2: and quite sad, but let's say it's a party after
[29:41] Speaker 2: someone's died.
[29:42] Speaker 1: You want to you want a difference. It's got to
[29:43] Speaker 1: be a vast you want to change the tempo with
[29:45] Speaker 1: the party. They irish be in the fray.
[29:47] Speaker 2: They are not okay.
[29:49] Speaker 3: I've got a question, yeah that the slow songs are
[29:52] Speaker 3: they going at the start of the night or at
[29:54] Speaker 3: the end of the night.
[29:55] Speaker 2: The end of the night when everyone's a little drum
[29:57] Speaker 2: sort of crying like dad.
[29:58] Speaker 3: Usually Yeah, and like it's time to wind down and
[30:00] Speaker 3: get out of my house.
[30:02] Speaker 1: I want to go next because Ja Donkey Jack is
[30:04] Speaker 1: the album's me and here the music man, so I'd
[30:07] Speaker 1: say he's final sable with the best. Say, I've gone
[30:09] Speaker 1: a vast difference. He had to get the part of
[30:11] Speaker 1: my party is really it's cooking. It's like everyone's on fire.
[30:15] Speaker 1: I've gone definitely maybe Oasis. Yeah, I think probably greatest
[30:18] Speaker 1: debut album of all time. Then I've Gone Saturday Night
[30:21] Speaker 1: Fever begs sound track of the movie.
[30:24] Speaker 3: I expected that from.
[30:25] Speaker 1: I've Gone, meat Lafe, Bat out of Hell. Every time
[30:28] Speaker 1: something comes to people go and the last one, Jack,
[30:30] Speaker 1: I thought of you and I did this Arctic Monkeys.
[30:32] Speaker 1: Whatever you say, I am, I'm not.
[30:34] Speaker 4: Yeah, Jack, it sounds much like this dream Team segment
[30:39] Speaker 4: is just a rebranded version of film vaym and Vinyl.
[30:42] Speaker 1: But just.
[30:44] Speaker 3: Because we do different, I've gone.
[30:48] Speaker 4: For a little bit of contrast as well, Matthew. I thought,
[30:51] Speaker 4: go for some different vibes, different errors. I started with
[30:54] Speaker 4: is this It by the Strokes? What's on that last Night?
[30:59] Speaker 4: You only live once? They've a few good albums, you
[31:01] Speaker 4: know it. It's a great album. And then I've gone
[31:03] Speaker 4: with Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Oh yeah,
[31:06] Speaker 4: David Bowie with on that Starman uh, Suffraget City.
[31:11] Speaker 2: My favorite one?
[31:12] Speaker 4: On that? Which one is yours favorite? Jim Control to ma,
[31:17] Speaker 4: no space is not on that one? The different that's
[31:22] Speaker 4: Honey Dory.
[31:22] Speaker 3: Sorry, and that's why I.
[31:24] Speaker 1: Like great album, Jack.
[31:26] Speaker 4: And then next one I've gone Thriller Michael Jackson as well, Cooper.
[31:29] Speaker 4: I think that's an album everyone can get around. And
[31:31] Speaker 4: then my last one Shabu shab but in excess, what
[31:34] Speaker 4: an album?
[31:35] Speaker 1: What an album.
[31:38] Speaker 5: On that?
[31:39] Speaker 4: Don't changes on that message? Yeah, and there's yeah, there's
[31:45] Speaker 4: a there's a few good ones. The world thing I
[31:46] Speaker 4: think is on that one's album.
[31:49] Speaker 1: As expected must say Jack. You you get the award Jack.
[31:53] Speaker 1: Now you've got a segment now Jack's Fun Topic.
[31:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, so Cooper Cooper's TV in the one. So I've
[31:59] Speaker 4: gone a new segment called Jack's Fun Topics. So each
[32:02] Speaker 4: week I'm going to get a topic sent to me
[32:03] Speaker 4: by buy some listeners. And Cooper's given me this week's
[32:08] Speaker 4: one because you're a fun guy. Because I'm a fun guy,
[32:11] Speaker 4: and I thought i'd find a fun topic across the
[32:14] Speaker 4: Australian atmosphere and try and break it down for people.
[32:18] Speaker 4: So whatever you give me, oh researcher that week, and
[32:21] Speaker 4: try and break it down for you.
[32:22] Speaker 1: Whatever it is.
[32:26] Speaker 2: He's just trying to break down this segment, trying to
[32:28] Speaker 2: break it down for So.
[32:30] Speaker 4: First one is the funnest possible topic, the federal budget.
[32:37] Speaker 4: So here it is. Here I go. So I've got
[32:39] Speaker 4: four parts of it that I want to break down
[32:41] Speaker 4: for the listener. You guys, take in whatever you want
[32:44] Speaker 4: and absorb it.
[32:45] Speaker 3: So it's explanatory. Yeah, exactly behind the news that the
[32:49] Speaker 3: kids used to watch. That's what we're doing for our listeners.
[32:53] Speaker 3: The Federal budget Wednesday.
[32:54] Speaker 4: Federal Budget for dummies. So here you've gone tax cuts
[32:57] Speaker 4: and the budget. The government is giving work as a
[33:00] Speaker 4: small tax cut from July. Think of it like a
[33:03] Speaker 4: boss quietly adding a few dollars to your pay each week.
[33:06] Speaker 4: Not life changing, but hey, it's a couple of free
[33:08] Speaker 4: coffees and do we get that as well?
[33:10] Speaker 1: It's quick.
[33:12] Speaker 3: I think what they've done is they've increased the threshold
[33:16] Speaker 3: the tax free.
[33:20] Speaker 1: A couple of a couple of slaps on the Pokings guys.
[33:23] Speaker 4: And then the next one is housing for young Aussies. Cooper,
[33:27] Speaker 4: here you go. The government is changing the rules so
[33:29] Speaker 4: property investors get a few get fewer tax perks on
[33:33] Speaker 4: old homes. Basically, the older kids at the Lolli shop
[33:36] Speaker 4: have been holding all the good stuff and they're finally
[33:38] Speaker 4: being told to step back and let the young ones
[33:41] Speaker 4: get There.
[33:42] Speaker 3: Is the potential that that's going to back finst.
[33:44] Speaker 4: It sounds like you're going to use big words again.
[33:46] Speaker 4: You haven't said one yet, but.
[33:48] Speaker 3: Because what is happening is that those property investors have
[33:55] Speaker 3: rental properties for people. So someone who can't afford a
[33:58] Speaker 3: property still needs a rental property. So if there's less
[34:01] Speaker 3: rental properties, then they're kind of screwed.
[34:04] Speaker 4: Lost me, lost me, lost lost next one is I've
[34:08] Speaker 4: gone cheaper fuel.
[34:09] Speaker 8: One.
[34:09] Speaker 4: We can all get around. The size has been slashed,
[34:14] Speaker 4: so filling up your car is noticeably cheaper as the
[34:17] Speaker 4: weeks go on. It's like your regular lunch spot suddenly
[34:20] Speaker 4: dropping the price of a burger by a few bucks.
[34:23] Speaker 4: Very small, but you'll definitely.
[34:24] Speaker 2: Notice it week to week.
[34:26] Speaker 1: Do we trust the big oil companies?
[34:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, I need your corporations, pharmaceuticals.
[34:34] Speaker 4: And the last one here inflation creeping up. Bloody Inflation
[34:39] Speaker 4: prices are expected to rise again to about five percent,
[34:42] Speaker 4: meaning your money buys less than it used to. Imagine
[34:45] Speaker 4: your grocery trolley is the same size, but each week
[34:48] Speaker 4: fewer items fit in it for the same amount of cab.
[34:51] Speaker 2: That's annoying. I've never really liked inflation. I get the
[34:53] Speaker 2: economy goes up and things inflate, and I get that
[34:56] Speaker 2: you need to inflate things, but.
[34:58] Speaker 1: You've got Cooper no idea. Some of the countries in
[35:00] Speaker 1: the world would have gone through their inflation. Tricia and
[35:04] Speaker 1: I crossed the border from Zambia into Zimbabwe and they
[35:07] Speaker 1: have gone through like the most horrendous hyperinflation in history.
[35:11] Speaker 4: Big words again, Cobber, which is trying to break it down.
[35:13] Speaker 1: But to the point, this is what was like. The
[35:17] Speaker 1: Zimbabwean dollar was woner onnder the American dollar and then
[35:20] Speaker 1: Mugabi moved in and was taking all the money to
[35:22] Speaker 1: the landos and everything with the Benelova dictatorship. Next thing
[35:25] Speaker 1: it mate, It's something like I gave a bloke a
[35:28] Speaker 1: one dollar US note and he gave me one hundred
[35:32] Speaker 1: million dollars Zimbabwe. Yeah, but I was horrendous.
[35:36] Speaker 2: I just hate how like back in your day, when
[35:38] Speaker 2: you were kids, you take a dollar down.
[35:39] Speaker 3: To the canteen, talking about we had pennies.
[35:42] Speaker 2: You take whatever it is down to the thing and
[35:44] Speaker 2: you could get all this stuff. And now the kids
[35:47] Speaker 2: now they take a dollar down, they dollar buys them nothing.
[35:50] Speaker 2: Dollar barely buys them. The frozen slushy from McDonalds.
[35:53] Speaker 3: We took five cents, Scooper, Yeah, five, but there were
[35:56] Speaker 3: two cents for the really posh lollies and one cent
[36:00] Speaker 3: for what.
[36:01] Speaker 2: I'm saying is right, the wages haven't increased with the
[36:04] Speaker 2: percentage of inflation that's increased from back in your day
[36:07] Speaker 2: in accordance to wage increase. It just doesn't add up.
[36:11] Speaker 2: And I'm standing up and I'm going to start throwing
[36:14] Speaker 2: my hat in the rink in politics, the ring.
[36:17] Speaker 1: I'll tear your way, I'll tear your way to We
[36:19] Speaker 1: should to help the economy a lot cut back on
[36:22] Speaker 1: the super innoation for politicians. Forgot their perks about flying
[36:26] Speaker 1: to all these junkets overseas for nothing flowing first class.
[36:31] Speaker 1: You cut back in a lot of that. The economy
[36:33] Speaker 1: would improve.
[36:33] Speaker 3: Why should they be paid this amazing pension.
[36:37] Speaker 4: The pensions were after after.
[36:39] Speaker 3: They're like and I think they just need to be
[36:42] Speaker 3: in Parliament or in ministeries or whatever for a six
[36:46] Speaker 3: month period or twelve month period. And they all get
[36:49] Speaker 3: security crazy, ongoing, ongoing off its.
[36:53] Speaker 4: Head as well, which I can understand why because they
[36:55] Speaker 4: make big decisions that affect a lot of people. People
[36:58] Speaker 4: like the security should stay. But geez, that what they
[37:01] Speaker 4: get their pensions crazy.
[37:02] Speaker 1: But like I remember once going so there was someone
[37:05] Speaker 1: for a minute, there was a minute of sport walking
[37:07] Speaker 1: around and he had two security with him a few
[37:10] Speaker 1: years ago, and I'm going, no one would know who
[37:13] Speaker 1: the minutes.
[37:14] Speaker 2: I would have no idea what you'd be in more
[37:16] Speaker 2: danger than the minutes of sport. Beside him is falling
[37:20] Speaker 2: and Dad doesn't even got security apart from those two
[37:22] Speaker 2: pythons hanging on.
[37:24] Speaker 1: Search and destroyed.
[37:25] Speaker 2: Just what the hell are you going to do?
[37:27] Speaker 3: What am I going to do? Tell him?
[37:30] Speaker 2: Can she French kiss them?
[37:32] Speaker 1: Don't know? Good segment Jack like that informative. Very Most
[37:38] Speaker 1: dictatorships are terrible. But I'll tear what if you had
[37:41] Speaker 1: a really good dictator got it, saved a lot of money,
[37:43] Speaker 1: cut through a lot of red tape, and cut a
[37:45] Speaker 1: lot of bullshit back. Can I ask you a question?
[37:48] Speaker 1: This sound you can go under it? Communist dictatorship always works, fantastic,
[37:55] Speaker 1: I said the true the other day. Any country that's
[37:57] Speaker 1: got the democratics a country of or the socialist republic
[38:02] Speaker 1: of you know, they're a dodgy country all the time.
[38:05] Speaker 2: I've never really understood like democracy and communism, and like
[38:08] Speaker 2: left and right wing. I still don't understand it.
[38:10] Speaker 3: Okay, communism, I don't want to know. Maybe that's what
[38:14] Speaker 3: you could do next week.
[38:15] Speaker 1: Contentism and socialism is left wing, okay, and.
[38:20] Speaker 3: Where essentially they want everyone to be on the same amount.
[38:25] Speaker 4: Save it for just segment.
[38:26] Speaker 1: Next guys are questioned, and this was under the premise
[38:29] Speaker 1: of almost every opinion counts but we're doing a lot
[38:31] Speaker 1: of segments, so I'm just going to impose this question
[38:33] Speaker 1: to you. We've just been up there. Is Brisbane the
[38:35] Speaker 1: best city in Australia? Give you your top three?
[38:39] Speaker 3: It doesn't have a beach?
[38:40] Speaker 1: I think I think, in my opinion, I think it
[38:43] Speaker 1: is now the number one city in Australia.
[38:44] Speaker 3: It's a great city, no doubt in the world.
[38:48] Speaker 1: Less legislation, no woke bullshit, very down, no woke bullshit,
[38:54] Speaker 1: there's none of that's it's queens good.
[38:57] Speaker 2: Queensland's pretty cool because the perfect person that epitomizes what
[39:01] Speaker 2: Colleens is all about is Bob Catter. Like he actually
[39:03] Speaker 2: the fact that he's a lord up there just shows
[39:06] Speaker 2: like how he's a lord. They all just love him.
[39:09] Speaker 2: They love the catman up there, do you know what
[39:11] Speaker 2: I mean?
[39:11] Speaker 4: They get around him.
[39:13] Speaker 2: It's like if he was in any other state, they'd
[39:15] Speaker 2: be likes be very divisive. They go and I don't
[39:18] Speaker 2: agree with what he said, but they just love him
[39:20] Speaker 2: up there and becaus just a knock about.
[39:22] Speaker 1: When he kem on the Live show on Sunday night,
[39:25] Speaker 1: he mention Bell Cutter and I come back with it
[39:27] Speaker 1: everyone again, what thousand blossoms, bloom. No one.
[39:34] Speaker 2: Talk really, no one liked that.
[39:36] Speaker 1: I'll go and Brisbane one. I've gone Sydney to Sydney,
[39:39] Speaker 1: incredible cities and number three was hard. Shout out to
[39:43] Speaker 1: Newcastle in Townsville. Love those cities. But I've gone Gold Coast.
[39:46] Speaker 1: You know, not because we're Titans. The Gold Coast a
[39:50] Speaker 1: cracking plos It's got everything.
[39:52] Speaker 3: It's got them part sits beach's beautiful, fabulous restaurants.
[39:57] Speaker 1: Schools, just lifestyle.
[39:59] Speaker 2: Turn it up by it's ground as I've gone three
[40:05] Speaker 2: Brisbane sunny, warm weather, very relaxed, brilliant, ounce to a lifestyle,
[40:09] Speaker 2: get around their sport.
[40:11] Speaker 4: Then I've gone one. Number two is Newcastle. I think
[40:14] Speaker 4: you is a great spot affordable living and beaches and
[40:19] Speaker 4: it's a space there. It's a good place. It's a
[40:22] Speaker 4: very much community vibe. It's a it's a got big
[40:24] Speaker 4: town vibe about it. So if you like I want
[40:26] Speaker 4: to live in a city, but you have that big
[40:28] Speaker 4: town vibe, Newcastle is your place. And then I've got
[40:32] Speaker 4: number one Sydney. I just think it's it's got, it's
[40:35] Speaker 4: got everything you need.
[40:36] Speaker 1: I go.
[40:38] Speaker 2: I'm going three. I got to go Melbourne. Melbourne town.
[40:43] Speaker 2: Melbourne's good.
[40:44] Speaker 1: Melbourne a lot of trouble at the moment.
[40:47] Speaker 3: Every time we go to Melbourne, we come across a protest,
[40:50] Speaker 3: don't we mat every single time.
[40:52] Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with the protest, but mate, the protesters
[40:56] Speaker 1: really woke and they're mate, they're they're not protest is
[41:01] Speaker 1: trying to get things out there, like really aggressive. A
[41:04] Speaker 1: girl like spit on a guy who had Western bullogs
[41:07] Speaker 1: jersey on and he was walking with his ye and
[41:11] Speaker 1: he's walking with these two kids, young kids, and she
[41:14] Speaker 1: went go back to the breeding farm and spat on it.
[41:17] Speaker 1: I just said, you didn't have to now I did,
[41:21] Speaker 1: because it's true complete he was walking past. Probably have
[41:25] Speaker 1: to cut that.
[41:27] Speaker 4: Worked up.
[41:28] Speaker 3: Okay, it's true. Yeah, I think Melbourne has I mean,
[41:34] Speaker 3: it has a lot to offer, like the beautiful river
[41:37] Speaker 3: and but it's.
[41:38] Speaker 1: It's the crimes, the drama there.
[41:39] Speaker 3: At the moment, and I just don't think my.
[41:42] Speaker 1: Least, Sorry rabbit holeing.
[41:46] Speaker 2: I'm the only one that lives there. You guys go
[41:48] Speaker 2: there for a weekend and all of a sudden you
[41:49] Speaker 2: know anything about it. You know nothing about Okay.
[41:52] Speaker 3: So was Harry Grant and Tyrone didn't live there anymore?
[41:56] Speaker 3: Would you like Melbourne much?
[41:58] Speaker 2: I'm speaking of from my experience of living there.
[41:59] Speaker 4: For you continue and in fairness, you are both talking
[42:03] Speaker 4: from an outsider's perspective.
[42:04] Speaker 2: Cooper, go ahead, Okay, I'm not even going to talk
[42:07] Speaker 2: about anymore because you guys are just annoying me. Number two,
[42:10] Speaker 2: I go Sunshine Coast and Queensland, a little bit more
[42:14] Speaker 2: quiet than Brisbane and a little bit more beachy. It's
[42:18] Speaker 2: weather's outstanding, retirees everywhere, golf it's outstanding, the beach is
[42:22] Speaker 2: mad and you got Noosa right there too. Or number one,
[42:25] Speaker 2: I'm going to Sydney only what.
[42:30] Speaker 1: So are you?
[42:32] Speaker 2: What about listeners rather than number one? Number one Sydney.
[42:35] Speaker 1: What's the best area in Sydney right outside of our area?
[42:41] Speaker 2: I only really like our area. I don't really like
[42:44] Speaker 2: the eastern suburbs too much, A bit fast for me,
[42:46] Speaker 2: Like there's a lot going on part.
[42:48] Speaker 1: Here is of the West. I like Penrith. I dig Penrith.
[42:51] Speaker 1: I think really good people there to do out.
[42:54] Speaker 2: There is good beach rugby league like territory that was
[43:00] Speaker 2: good for.
[43:02] Speaker 3: Maine.
[43:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, I was about to say that down a couple
[43:05] Speaker 1: of years ago. There don't go a lot. But I
[43:07] Speaker 1: was there and remember I'll walk down the main street
[43:10] Speaker 1: there and make the food and the vibe was made.
[43:12] Speaker 1: I was like, mate, I was digging it. It's a
[43:13] Speaker 1: good joint. Cara mad is good.
[43:15] Speaker 2: It's all good.
[43:16] Speaker 3: Is Cabra Madam known for its Vietnamese in great restaurant?
[43:20] Speaker 2: Is there not done their list?
[43:21] Speaker 7: Me?
[43:23] Speaker 3: I don't mind. I didn't actually do them in order.
[43:26] Speaker 3: If you don't mind. I think Sydney is amazing. It's
[43:29] Speaker 3: a pretty amazing place.
[43:31] Speaker 2: You have to do it in order. Otherwise what's the point.
[43:34] Speaker 3: I'll give Sydney number one.
[43:36] Speaker 1: Okay, give number two.
[43:37] Speaker 3: Then I'm going to give Gold Coast number two, number
[43:40] Speaker 3: two and number three I will give Brisbane.
[43:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, okay, here's question.
[43:48] Speaker 3: I'm going to tie Brisbane, Brisbane and Newcastle.
[43:51] Speaker 1: Where is his question? Just to help people out here
[43:54] Speaker 1: if they want to go to Newcastle or different? Where
[43:56] Speaker 1: do you think the best area is in Newcastle? Been
[44:00] Speaker 1: out of anger? You live there?
[44:02] Speaker 4: Yeah, Merriweather's a great spot. Everyone's gonna say Merriweather. But
[44:05] Speaker 4: if you want to if you want a good spot.
[44:07] Speaker 4: There's been booming of late and it's been sort of
[44:09] Speaker 4: like not like that was it was terrible, but like
[44:12] Speaker 4: it's it's incredibly the housing is increasing a lot. Mayfield's
[44:16] Speaker 4: just gone through the roof Carrington.
[44:18] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[44:19] Speaker 4: And when you when you're like I grew up in
[44:21] Speaker 4: Sydney of course, and then I've lived a number of
[44:23] Speaker 4: years in Newcastle playing there. But if you if when
[44:27] Speaker 4: I first moved there compared to when I by the
[44:29] Speaker 4: time I left, Mayfield was almost like a completely different joint. Yeah,
[44:33] Speaker 4: And it's like and in Sydney, you know, it's only
[44:36] Speaker 4: ten Like when you look at driving to the beach
[44:38] Speaker 4: for Mayfield and Sydney, it's ten ten minutes to the beach, right.
[44:41] Speaker 4: If it was in Sydney, you're considered close to the beach.
[44:43] Speaker 4: But in Newcastle, like the mentality is you're not close
[44:46] Speaker 4: to the beach because you're not in that Merriweather Adamstown area.
[44:50] Speaker 4: But if if you can just see it, like just
[44:53] Speaker 4: like Sydney, the closer the longer time goes, Mayfield will
[44:56] Speaker 4: be considered near the beach in Newcastle.
[44:58] Speaker 1: Jack, those areas when I lived in mate Field, You've
[45:00] Speaker 1: got you had Mayfield is uh right on the border
[45:07] Speaker 1: I like cracking.
[45:09] Speaker 4: Area, Yeah, I like right near the stadium there and
[45:11] Speaker 4: even just that area around a really good booming spot
[45:15] Speaker 4: at the moment is where is where is the stadium?
[45:18] Speaker 4: What's that? It's broad Mirror. Also suburb Lampton Land, New Lampton.
[45:23] Speaker 4: Those areas have really been booming well.
[45:25] Speaker 1: Islington, Carrington, Warrata and Mayfield. Those four areas are one
[45:29] Speaker 1: of the reasons they're booming. When we lived. When I
[45:31] Speaker 1: lived in that area, the b HP was was booming right.
[45:35] Speaker 1: But what used to happen every afternoon when the wind
[45:37] Speaker 1: would change, it would literally blow the smog all over
[45:40] Speaker 1: those suburbs and on the houses and things like that.
[45:43] Speaker 1: So that's that's the reason it wasn't crime, why it
[45:45] Speaker 1: didn't get ahead and things like that, or restaurants. It
[45:48] Speaker 1: was just simply because of b HP. But now once
[45:50] Speaker 1: BHP shut immediately it starts to boom. And Carrington is
[45:54] Speaker 1: very much got that newtown vibe, restaurants, nice little.
[45:58] Speaker 3: Bar suburbs, gentrifying.
[46:03] Speaker 4: And the good one you is just going so fast,
[46:05] Speaker 4: like you see like on a rate to Sydney in
[46:07] Speaker 4: terms of growth. It's it's developed. It's like it's just
[46:10] Speaker 4: been the last twenty years. You just see it just
[46:13] Speaker 4: so fast. Developing.
[46:14] Speaker 1: Now we're going to do a backstage origin preview of course,
[46:18] Speaker 1: but Trash, would you like, well, what's coming out on Monday?
[46:22] Speaker 1: Would you like to And we're going to do we'll
[46:24] Speaker 1: do a review straight after the game as well as
[46:26] Speaker 1: we normally do. Trish, would you like to give your
[46:29] Speaker 1: origin prediction?
[46:31] Speaker 3: I don't know who's been picked or anything. It would
[46:34] Speaker 3: be break for me. You know what, though, I'm going
[46:37] Speaker 3: to say New South Wales. It's in Sydney advantage.
[46:40] Speaker 4: You don't know who's picked, so we're not going to
[46:42] Speaker 4: take your opinion.
[46:42] Speaker 1: Okay, okay, just give us.
[46:44] Speaker 3: Just have a guess New South Wales?
[46:46] Speaker 1: Bye bye? Okay? Who gets me out of the match?
[46:50] Speaker 3: Nothing?
[46:50] Speaker 4: Clearly, she'll know it's.
[46:51] Speaker 1: Hard to believe that. That's pretty good.
[46:53] Speaker 2: Should we do our tips for this run? Let's do it?
[46:56] Speaker 3: Okay, Cooper and I. Cooper made a bit of a
[46:58] Speaker 3: comeback last week. We're both on fIF diffour points. Jack's
[47:01] Speaker 3: made a big comeback. He's on fifty two and Matt
[47:03] Speaker 3: you're on fifty three. So I'm still leading with goober.
[47:05] Speaker 1: What did you what did the infliction of your voice
[47:07] Speaker 1: go down when you said Matte?
[47:08] Speaker 2: Because you so I'm up tired with you. It's because
[47:11] Speaker 2: I pick the Knights of the Titans.
[47:13] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[47:14] Speaker 6: True.
[47:15] Speaker 3: Anyway, We've only got one, two, three for five games
[47:17] Speaker 3: this weekend because I've split round Raiders Dolphins. I'm going to.
[47:20] Speaker 8: Dolphins, yeah in Canberra in Camera and Hudson and they
[47:26] Speaker 8: just they have just come off a buy the Raiders
[47:28] Speaker 8: to no Ethan Strange now think yeah, I'm going.
[47:31] Speaker 1: To hear Dolphins or Dolphins are flying at the moment.
[47:33] Speaker 1: On the other art.
[47:34] Speaker 4: Dolphins no Flagler and and Hammer.
[47:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, but they've got Katara man, so.
[47:41] Speaker 4: What I actually reckon? I'm in a back Canberra and
[47:43] Speaker 4: this is a bit of an upset. You want camera,
[47:45] Speaker 4: I think they've got some. I think they've got a bit.
[47:47] Speaker 4: They can get them done there on a whatnot? Is
[47:50] Speaker 4: that on going?
[47:53] Speaker 1: Okay?
[47:53] Speaker 4: Camera contagious?
[47:55] Speaker 2: So I'm going to go Dolphins.
[47:57] Speaker 3: Okay, and next one Bulldog Storm I'm going storm.
[48:00] Speaker 2: Raymond back then yeah, Jack.
[48:03] Speaker 4: I am going storm.
[48:05] Speaker 1: Doggies win this one. Do you reckon Dogies win this? No,
[48:09] Speaker 1: Stephen Crichton, Yeah, but there's no Harry Grant, there's no
[48:11] Speaker 1: camera monster.
[48:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think I'm going to go the Dogs
[48:15] Speaker 2: to them.
[48:16] Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, Dragon's worries. I'm got the wars.
[48:19] Speaker 2: The wars wars are flying, yeah, and they don't lose
[48:23] Speaker 2: as many as we might have thought. With Jackson Ford,
[48:25] Speaker 2: I'm going to go the Wise as well.
[48:26] Speaker 3: Okay, Seeagulls Titans. I'm going Titans.
[48:31] Speaker 1: On Titans hate Forsball has to end of it eventually.
[48:35] Speaker 1: No anyone else missing for the Colon.
[48:40] Speaker 2: Cola and who are times missing?
[48:43] Speaker 1: Tino, we're missing and Jojo?
[48:46] Speaker 4: Yeah, be out Titans. Baby.
[48:49] Speaker 2: Well it's hard for me right because I played for Manley,
[48:52] Speaker 2: so I probably should and I won on one hundred grand,
[48:54] Speaker 2: so I'll go Manley. Just face on the fact that
[48:56] Speaker 2: you're okay, you're fair and balance, loyal us.
[49:01] Speaker 3: You don't even know the term means. Cowboys Rabbits. I'm
[49:03] Speaker 3: going the Cowboys this.
[49:04] Speaker 2: Week, ask me, ex missus.
[49:08] Speaker 4: I'm going I'm going rabbit O's this week.
[49:11] Speaker 1: Jack On, Look, Cowboys, that was the best win I've
[49:15] Speaker 1: seen them have for such a long time. Last week,
[49:18] Speaker 1: No did no talmlala one on defensive grit and discipline.
[49:22] Speaker 1: But they're up and down. Just when you fall in
[49:24] Speaker 1: love with them, they put in a stinker and rabbit
[49:26] Speaker 1: has got to win this. No Latrail, but I think
[49:28] Speaker 1: Rabbit O's win it.
[49:29] Speaker 4: Yeah, I back to Miles week is an upset and
[49:30] Speaker 4: they got it done. But I think that might have
[49:32] Speaker 4: been because a few of them were in contention for origin.
[49:34] Speaker 4: So but I'll tell you what, Hil and Luky was
[49:36] Speaker 4: hard done by not to be picked up.
[49:38] Speaker 2: Spot on, Jack Jeez has been good.
[49:40] Speaker 4: I reckon you'll get He'll get a crack in for
[49:41] Speaker 4: one of the games.
[49:42] Speaker 1: So you want the Rabbits, Matt, I've gone the Rabbits and.
[49:45] Speaker 3: Jack wants the Rabbits.
[49:45] Speaker 2: What about you, Coopie, I'll go the Cowboys. You know
[49:48] Speaker 2: House was stiff to miss out. I thought Casey McLain
[49:51] Speaker 2: was stipped to miss out, and they picked Casey McGuire
[49:54] Speaker 2: and McGuire.
[49:55] Speaker 1: Yeah I pick. I know, just little little faux pat
[49:59] Speaker 1: of there from Laws for Lock.
[50:00] Speaker 4: I know he's done it on purpose. He's doing the
[50:02] Speaker 4: what's the what's the boris from the UK? The Prome minister. Yeah,
[50:06] Speaker 4: he's done the boris.
[50:07] Speaker 2: I saw him yesterday.
[50:08] Speaker 1: The lock was How was he? What a good man
[50:11] Speaker 1: he was.
[50:11] Speaker 2: They were a little hung They had a they had
[50:13] Speaker 2: a little bonding night the first night, so they were
[50:15] Speaker 2: all they were just still finishing all the first two
[50:17] Speaker 2: days for State of Origins. They got a lot of
[50:19] Speaker 2: media commitments and stuff. It's too much for him.
[50:21] Speaker 1: It's a lot, it is.
[50:22] Speaker 2: They do a lot. They do a heat.
[50:24] Speaker 1: I had to be with your with one of your
[50:26] Speaker 1: best mates on Sunday night, the Great Harry Grant. Oh
[50:29] Speaker 1: do you know what? And maybe it's because I had
[50:31] Speaker 1: a gut full of drink and Saturday but he walked
[50:35] Speaker 1: out and he'll put my arm around him and said, mate,
[50:37] Speaker 1: I just want to say something, did you Probably? I
[50:40] Speaker 1: just said you are? You are? You are such an impressive,
[50:44] Speaker 1: outstanding bloke, young man, you know what. I was expecting
[50:47] Speaker 1: something back.
[50:48] Speaker 9: He said, thanks, Bigam, He said thanks how he said
[50:52] Speaker 9: it thanks big m Yeah he always We've always called
[50:56] Speaker 9: you big m out when we now, Harry just always
[50:59] Speaker 9: is a big am.
[51:01] Speaker 3: I began, I don't I called it because he's not
[51:03] Speaker 3: a big man.
[51:05] Speaker 1: Because flavored milk.
[51:07] Speaker 2: No, it's not it. I there was some sort of movie,
[51:12] Speaker 2: there's some movie character or something, and I just started
[51:15] Speaker 2: saying big am about dad, and then I don't know,
[51:18] Speaker 2: Harry just got on to it. Now Harry just says
[51:20] Speaker 2: it all the time.
[51:22] Speaker 3: I mean, you do call it he's dad.
[51:24] Speaker 4: What are you calling?
[51:24] Speaker 1: Big cock?

[51:33] Speaker 4: Is that it?
[51:33] Speaker 5: People?
[51:34] Speaker 4: It is?
[51:36] Speaker 1: Tempers were praying between tuition Cooper there.
[51:40] Speaker 3: Some looks up giving him a little kick.
[51:42] Speaker 1: Was she just the first wine?
[51:45] Speaker 4: For any listeners I was watching from behind. For any listeners,
[51:48] Speaker 4: go back to the first three minutes and go back.
[51:51] Speaker 4: Just watch Cooper have a couple, have a couple of
[51:54] Speaker 4: barriers throw in front of his words.
[51:56] Speaker 2: Well, there was a few times when I was trying
[51:58] Speaker 2: to speak, or like someone else was trying to speak,
[52:01] Speaker 2: and like we got look, we've got about group yourself.
[52:04] Speaker 2: Even there, well even there, like she just doesn't have
[52:07] Speaker 2: the sensibility to know just wait two seconds for a
[52:09] Speaker 2: pause and then jump in. She jumps in just midway through.
[52:12] Speaker 1: She does lose a chain of thought quite a bit.
[52:14] Speaker 1: So just backing up there, babe, just before we can
[52:18] Speaker 1: do something, I want to show something.
[52:20] Speaker 3: And yet I did my stand up with our show
[52:22] Speaker 3: this lastly different one, a different one who just.
[52:25] Speaker 1: Fellow bloke asked me in Magic Ground, said who is
[52:27] Speaker 1: this guy? And the guy I'm put in the South
[52:30] Speaker 1: Newcastle Juice? The guy who asked me was actually made.
[52:34] Speaker 1: He was a Liverpool Lean and they followed rugby league
[52:37] Speaker 1: and he said, your dad's lot to belt the belt
[52:38] Speaker 1: about to belt someone in the background. He's in the
[52:41] Speaker 1: background and belt this guy. Who is who's the guy?
[52:43] Speaker 1: And I said, well mate, it's funny to say that
[52:45] Speaker 1: to let people know he's a fellow called Terry Clawson.
[52:47] Speaker 1: Terry Clawson was a grade English player played for Leeds
[52:51] Speaker 1: Bradford many many clubs, played actually seven hundred games. Terry
[52:54] Speaker 1: Clawson won a Challenge Cup, very decorator. Played and finished
[52:58] Speaker 1: his career at South Newcastle Lines. And there's my father
[53:01] Speaker 1: attempted to take his head off.
[53:04] Speaker 2: Yeah good, is it good?
[53:05] Speaker 1: You guys had a lot of hair gas.
[53:07] Speaker 2: Looks like Joey there and that he's got, you know,
[53:09] Speaker 2: like those old pictures of Joe with the fat head.
[53:11] Speaker 1: Yeah, Jesus head, you're right on that scene.
[53:15] Speaker 2: You know that one is you've got a Joey surfing
[53:17] Speaker 2: and you always like to show every and it looks
[53:20] Speaker 2: like Gaz's head's like Cherry and Lana stuff.
[53:22] Speaker 3: Have a great weekend, everybody.
[53:25] Speaker 1: Clawson
