[0:00] Speaker 1: Welcome back to another week of the podcast Family Podcast.
[0:03] Speaker 1: Family Podcast six years on, Still traveling strong. Shout out
[0:08] Speaker 1: to all of our listeners, Thanks for listening each and
[0:11] Speaker 1: every week, Like and subscribe.
[0:13] Speaker 2: You punch the air, yeah, Like, nothing wrong with that, son.
[0:17] Speaker 1: Nothing wrong with punching the air better than punching a human.
[0:19] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[0:19] Speaker 3: And enthusiasm. Everyone's getting ridden these days for actually being
[0:23] Speaker 3: enthusiastic about things.
[0:25] Speaker 2: Who's getting ridden about being enthusiastic?
[0:27] Speaker 3: Well, the pessimists are trying to repress we optimist.
[0:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, I was asking you to be specific the.
[0:33] Speaker 3: Press like repress also works as well.
[0:38] Speaker 1: Dad doesn't get it?
[0:39] Speaker 3: Are you talking?
[0:40] Speaker 1: I do want to shout out Dad, because he he
[0:42] Speaker 1: did get the family together this morning before we come
[0:44] Speaker 1: in the podcast and just said, you know, let's not
[0:46] Speaker 1: have too much getting ahead ourselves. After the Titan said
[0:49] Speaker 1: the win over the yeels, the big win, the big win,
[0:51] Speaker 1: the great win. And I think I think we've done
[0:54] Speaker 1: a good job with that, right Dad.
[0:56] Speaker 4: Well, it's a long Susan, and the last thing you
[0:58] Speaker 4: want to do obviously get a win and start show voting.
[1:02] Speaker 4: So yeah, you.
[1:04] Speaker 1: Had to toe in Titan to yehear though.
[1:07] Speaker 4: I'm just showing the support. This is just to promote
[1:10] Speaker 4: the retro the retro jersey, which is going to be
[1:13] Speaker 4: a magic round. It is, and it sold out.
[1:17] Speaker 3: They're doing another run though.
[1:18] Speaker 4: Do you know the amazing thing? It just shows you
[1:21] Speaker 4: the value of time and how fashion comes in and out.
[1:24] Speaker 4: When this first when they first produced this and in
[1:26] Speaker 4: nineteen ninety seven and they become the Gold Coast Chargers,
[1:30] Speaker 4: everyone went, oh my god, what an ugly jersey. That's
[1:34] Speaker 4: sort of thought and all of a suddenhen this suddenly appeared,
[1:37] Speaker 4: everyone went, mate, is that not the coolest retro jersey
[1:41] Speaker 4: we've ever seen? Well, it's funny, isn't time.
[1:44] Speaker 1: It's because you don't know something to retro until twenty
[1:47] Speaker 1: years later, you know what I mean? Like I can
[1:48] Speaker 1: see if that came out tomorrow. Like in another sense,
[1:52] Speaker 1: it wasn't valuing something from retro. I'd be like yuck,
[1:55] Speaker 1: you know. But the fact but the fact that it's
[1:58] Speaker 1: it's designed and fashion doesn't really look like the collars
[2:01] Speaker 1: aren't really in at the moment. All jerseys back then
[2:03] Speaker 1: were colored, so it wasn't really retro.
[2:05] Speaker 4: Everyone loves the collar jersey color is good. They're way cooler.
[2:09] Speaker 2: Even looking at it back then, it looks like it
[2:10] Speaker 2: was retro for at that time.
[2:12] Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right.
[2:13] Speaker 3: I look at it and it reminds me of like
[2:17] Speaker 3: an American jersey. When I look at it, it's got
[2:20] Speaker 3: that sort of yeah, yeah, that's ark.
[2:22] Speaker 4: But it's all about the collars. It's it's true. Like
[2:25] Speaker 4: the other night had Isaiah Yea on the show and
[2:28] Speaker 4: he was talking about we're talking about the Titans retro
[2:30] Speaker 4: jersey and he said, mate, how cool is it? And
[2:33] Speaker 4: he said mate, And he was talking about how the
[2:35] Speaker 4: Panthers won. Well, there is a few weeks ago. He said.
[2:38] Speaker 4: The boys has loved it. He said, particularly the collar. Yeah,
[2:41] Speaker 4: they love the collar. And the reason why the collars
[2:43] Speaker 4: went out of style, Trish, is because mate used to
[2:45] Speaker 4: be what they used to do back in yeah, is
[2:47] Speaker 4: to grab it. So back in the day when you
[2:49] Speaker 4: were to collar, some people would do this to turn
[2:53] Speaker 4: the collar in, but these days were the rules. I
[2:56] Speaker 4: think if you grab someone about the collar, it's probably
[2:59] Speaker 4: almost tap with the head, it almost be penalty.
[3:03] Speaker 2: I blame Gordon Tallot's coler what do you do?
[3:06] Speaker 3: What do you do? Now?
[3:07] Speaker 2: Well, I think he's probably got the most iconic collar
[3:09] Speaker 2: grab moment in rugby league history.
[3:11] Speaker 1: Well, I blame Brett Hodgson. Yeah, Brett Hodgson, He's to blame.
[3:14] Speaker 3: What did you do?
[3:15] Speaker 4: Further? I did I blame the manufacturers that in yourself?
[3:19] Speaker 1: Do you remember when Gordon grabbed Brett Hodgson in the
[3:21] Speaker 1: state of origin and he dragged him over the sideline
[3:23] Speaker 1: boy's collar? Do you remember that, Trish that?
[3:26] Speaker 2: Oh?
[3:26] Speaker 3: No, strangely enough, I do not.
[3:28] Speaker 1: You actually don't.
[3:29] Speaker 3: No, no, no, I don't, although vaguely in my memory
[3:33] Speaker 3: there is an image highlight whatever.
[3:36] Speaker 1: How can she know what am I doing?
[3:39] Speaker 2: In fairness, Brett Hodgson was the sex symbol of his time,
[3:42] Speaker 2: so I can understand why she does have some sort
[3:44] Speaker 2: of memory of of you know, can we g.
[3:47] Speaker 1: Jack's tired this morning?
[3:51] Speaker 4: Just people?
[3:52] Speaker 3: Doesn't he look darling?
[3:53] Speaker 4: He does? People love nostalgia. That's what I say about
[3:56] Speaker 4: retro jerseys. Now, speaking of which, Jack, you're the jersey
[3:58] Speaker 4: you're sporting at the moment.
[4:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, this is how it dropped on Wednesday, Just gone
[4:03] Speaker 2: hoping we see a lot of them at Magic Ground.
[4:04] Speaker 4: Will be out real Reggie.
[4:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, the manage On's Cup. So obviously this year we
[4:09] Speaker 2: got in early and noticed that the Titans Versus Nights
[4:12] Speaker 2: game is on Magic Ground, so we thought, and everyone
[4:16] Speaker 2: wears their jerseys and kid up there. It's awesome. So
[4:18] Speaker 2: we thought it would be good to have fun with
[4:19] Speaker 2: some of the listeners and some of the people that
[4:21] Speaker 2: follow us on socials.
[4:23] Speaker 1: And yeah, we had a fair.
[4:24] Speaker 2: Few, fair few of these made and it'd be great
[4:27] Speaker 2: to see everyone up there wearing them.
[4:28] Speaker 3: And Reggie Boy featuring.
[4:30] Speaker 4: That's what special Reggie Boy.
[4:32] Speaker 2: He's an easy, easy marketing tactic. And shout out to
[4:36] Speaker 2: the boys at two Reds too for collaborating with us.
[4:39] Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's unreal.
[4:40] Speaker 2: If you ever need custom if you need custom apparel there,
[4:44] Speaker 2: they're a great team to work with if you if
[4:46] Speaker 2: you're looking to do your own stuff in the future.
[4:48] Speaker 4: And Jack took the design is actually based which Jack
[4:51] Speaker 4: took the zign off it. It's an old stuff from
[4:55] Speaker 4: different who Mark Gasing you played for and check the
[4:59] Speaker 4: coaster one point. They are owned by this exuberance of
[5:02] Speaker 4: character over there, and it was a struggling club.
[5:05] Speaker 2: Say the least.
[5:07] Speaker 4: Anyway, he he just got He just brought out these
[5:11] Speaker 4: outrageous jerseys which become of the most popular jerseys in
[5:15] Speaker 4: world Sport, including the one that's based off and Cooper's
[5:18] Speaker 4: got one. It's actually designed by Andy Warhole Joan of
[5:21] Speaker 4: Arc on the front.
[5:22] Speaker 1: I've got one and it's actually signed by Mark remember that.
[5:25] Speaker 3: He was was playing for them.
[5:26] Speaker 1: Yeah, but remember we were at at our old house
[5:29] Speaker 1: that we grew up in just around the corner. He
[5:31] Speaker 1: was just peering over the back fence to you remember that's.
[5:33] Speaker 3: Right what he seemed to live behind there or something.
[5:36] Speaker 1: I don't know.
[5:37] Speaker 5: He was just we saw this just this big, bigin
[5:40] Speaker 5: this massive excenter, just staring over the back where Jack
[5:45] Speaker 5: and I were sort of skinny dipping in the pool.
[5:47] Speaker 5: And said, hey, hey Mark gas and you stop perving
[5:51] Speaker 5: on my kids.
[5:52] Speaker 4: And then I come all the way from Woollongong just
[5:54] Speaker 4: another ten minutes.
[5:58] Speaker 1: And then and then I had the statu from Say
[6:00] Speaker 1: Jersey and then I brought it out and he signed
[6:01] Speaker 1: it for me.
[6:02] Speaker 4: It's a great jersey. It was of Arc on the
[6:04] Speaker 4: front and yeah, if you go over people go if
[6:07] Speaker 4: you find yourself in France, I mean these days, just
[6:10] Speaker 4: jump online, have a look at the start front Say
[6:12] Speaker 4: Jerseys and you're just you'll find some beauties on there.
[6:15] Speaker 4: I recommend it. But that jersey. Jack got the design
[6:18] Speaker 4: off the whole jersey and I look forward to it.
[6:22] Speaker 1: Maddie John's Cup too. Like Titans versus Knights. Two teams
[6:26] Speaker 1: that one that has your historical heart and one that
[6:29] Speaker 1: has your financial heart, which we know how much you
[6:33] Speaker 1: love money, so very exciting for you.
[6:36] Speaker 4: It is exciting. And it's two clubs. Yeah, two clubs
[6:40] Speaker 4: on the app. But it was great the other day,
[6:43] Speaker 4: like to see the boys. The boys had a I
[6:45] Speaker 4: was really happy for Josh. Josh is just as every does,
[6:51] Speaker 4: throw themselves into the job, and so the way they
[6:54] Speaker 4: trained the off season had a difficult start. You can
[6:56] Speaker 4: see this is growing beliefs. So just really happy and
[6:59] Speaker 4: really for Kenny was outstanding. A tough start of the season.
[7:04] Speaker 4: But Mate and Jadeen the other the other day, every
[7:08] Speaker 4: time got the ball, holy.
[7:10] Speaker 2: Do mm hmm.
[7:12] Speaker 3: They all played well.
[7:13] Speaker 4: They did. Muren Curtis, Maren ye Is the throat goat,
[7:19] Speaker 4: you know.
[7:19] Speaker 3: I was very impressed. They all played really well.
[7:22] Speaker 2: That's enough Titans time.
[7:26] Speaker 1: Because you were there, it will give you a minute more.
[7:30] Speaker 3: It's fine. I was in the sheds after the game
[7:33] Speaker 3: again and have my friend Tash there. She's never been
[7:36] Speaker 3: in an NRL shed. After a game, she was a
[7:42] Speaker 3: little overwhelmed. Shower came over and gave her a hug,
[7:48] Speaker 3: like with his shirt off.
[7:50] Speaker 1: Was she frothing because she? Yea, she is single and.
[7:53] Speaker 3: I think she was just overwhelmed.
[7:57] Speaker 1: Did she wake up with ring got He's riddled with it.
[8:04] Speaker 4: It's still a big thing in the There was going
[8:08] Speaker 4: between two clubs and on the Monday, both clubs reached
[8:13] Speaker 4: out to each other. Both both sets of squads were
[8:15] Speaker 4: just covered in ringwood. Boils, boils.
[8:19] Speaker 1: That was when we did the doubt. That was what
[8:21] Speaker 1: Dalla chair Evan said on the podcast about a game
[8:23] Speaker 1: ages ago. I know this is that affiliates a story
[8:27] Speaker 1: and he's got it in there, and but that was
[8:29] Speaker 1: it was a story he told you almost had it.
[8:31] Speaker 3: From a while ago.
[8:32] Speaker 4: Damn close, you were so close.
[8:34] Speaker 3: Boils are nasties. Have you ever had one?
[8:36] Speaker 4: I did when I was kid quite a bit me too.
[8:38] Speaker 3: Once it's in your blood system, they sort of. I
[8:40] Speaker 3: had one on my thing here and I didn't know
[8:42] Speaker 3: what it was and it was a monster.
[8:44] Speaker 4: We had to get their core out.
[8:45] Speaker 1: Maybe, Oh my god, some boys had boils on their
[8:50] Speaker 1: legs and they literally couldn't like walk all round. You
[8:54] Speaker 1: had a big one jack attack. Was it on your thigh.
[8:58] Speaker 2: When I was when I was this is like ten
[9:00] Speaker 2: years ago when I was playing Sydney Shield with the
[9:01] Speaker 2: pinsular Seagulls. I had won on my thigh when I
[9:03] Speaker 2: was working, and then the girls saw it and they
[9:06] Speaker 2: was just rattled by the size of it. It's yeah,
[9:08] Speaker 2: they can almost like if they're swollen enough, they can
[9:11] Speaker 2: almost like make you start limping.
[9:13] Speaker 4: We had a back rower who played with it and
[9:16] Speaker 4: he had at one point the back of his legs
[9:18] Speaker 4: around his hamstrings and asstreeks had about six boils.
[9:22] Speaker 3: That would be nasty because you couldn't sit down and
[9:25] Speaker 3: now lockforward.
[9:26] Speaker 4: Mark Laanvill at one point refused to pack into the
[9:28] Speaker 4: scrump with him. He said, mate, I'm not going I'm
[9:32] Speaker 4: not going to put my head. This same player, by
[9:36] Speaker 4: the way, he's a story for you where we got
[9:40] Speaker 4: this game. All of a sudden, you know, it's a
[9:42] Speaker 4: two minute warning. He's still in the toilet, busting to go. Mate,
[9:45] Speaker 4: we're going out. He's still in the toilet. He just
[9:47] Speaker 4: go runs out first grum Mark level, p Oh my god.
[9:51] Speaker 4: What's that smell? He said, Oh, because everyone was running out,
[9:54] Speaker 4: I didn't have time to do the baber work. Yeah,
[10:00] Speaker 4: good tactic.
[10:02] Speaker 3: Against your own teammates.
[10:03] Speaker 1: No, I suppose, not referring to his paperwork.
[10:07] Speaker 3: That's really good.
[10:08] Speaker 1: Can we speak about what happened last night? So last
[10:11] Speaker 1: night we got good friends of the of the family,
[10:14] Speaker 1: the Hinds is keeping up with the Hinds, the future Hins,
[10:17] Speaker 1: Nico and Piper. They came over for dinner to be
[10:21] Speaker 1: wed and yeah, we're just talking about their wedding coming
[10:23] Speaker 1: up at the end of the year. Piper had never
[10:25] Speaker 1: met you two, so she wanted to sort of meet
[10:27] Speaker 1: you guys.
[10:27] Speaker 4: Piper's mum.
[10:28] Speaker 1: You met Piper's mum.
[10:30] Speaker 4: That's all right, But.
[10:34] Speaker 1: I suppose a first impression for the ages. I suppose
[10:39] Speaker 1: for Piper there was no sort of you know, you
[10:42] Speaker 1: didn't ease her in.
[10:43] Speaker 3: No, he didn't.
[10:44] Speaker 1: Dad did not ease her in. There was some horrendously
[10:49] Speaker 1: inappropriate jokes that were being told at the dinner table.
[10:51] Speaker 3: I've never seen Nico laugh so much. He couldn't control.
[10:56] Speaker 4: He was. She was crying with laughter. It was I reckon.
[10:58] Speaker 4: They were hopped in the car with this too. Now
[11:00] Speaker 4: that's a fun family or what the fuck has happened?
[11:04] Speaker 1: I think it was the second because Piper was laughing.
[11:07] Speaker 1: I've seen Piper laugh out of genuine humor, and then
[11:10] Speaker 1: i've seen what I saw last night was nervous, uncomfortable
[11:15] Speaker 1: laughter because she felt like she just had to laugh
[11:17] Speaker 1: at anything.
[11:18] Speaker 4: Now Jack might beat this off, and I'm going to
[11:20] Speaker 4: run past one more time. What I said, Yeah, that
[11:24] Speaker 4: was a good joke.
[11:25] Speaker 3: I liked it, and I came in this even better.
[11:27] Speaker 4: Let's just see if there's I can manufacture the same reaction. Okay,
[11:32] Speaker 4: it was Piper. Do you know what, if you're a
[11:35] Speaker 4: regularague player, you'd be fullback because I was had. I said,
[11:40] Speaker 4: because on a honeymoon night, you're going to be catching
[11:42] Speaker 4: balls all night.
[11:48] Speaker 1: I had it.
[11:49] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think mom is better because you're going to
[11:52] Speaker 3: be under the ball a lot the same. Sorry, and
[11:57] Speaker 3: that's why I'm not a comedian.
[11:58] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why didn't you have one to.
[12:02] Speaker 4: Someone? Yeah? So bad?
[12:05] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was, it was, It was really bad. I
[12:07] Speaker 1: don't want to I don't want.
[12:08] Speaker 4: To bring finished breakfast radio. You've lost all the humor,
[12:12] Speaker 4: You've lost your mate.
[12:14] Speaker 1: Since you've finished Breakfast Radio. You lost humor years ago.
[12:17] Speaker 4: I would say that three hundred thousand people every Sunday
[12:19] Speaker 4: night would disagree.
[12:21] Speaker 3: He's angry.
[12:22] Speaker 1: Do we have to listen?
[12:24] Speaker 4: We did. We did the same rating as channeline News,
[12:26] Speaker 4: which is.
[12:28] Speaker 3: To watch Matt.
[12:30] Speaker 4: We're going head to head.
[12:31] Speaker 2: Who would have thought Peter and who would have thought
[12:34] Speaker 2: that his major competition was the guy that was basically
[12:38] Speaker 2: dribbling over him at the logo is about I don't know,
[12:40] Speaker 2: fifteen years ago over him.
[12:44] Speaker 3: Oh you're dribbling over her feet.
[12:46] Speaker 4: We're doing red have nice feet? Uh down that she
[12:50] Speaker 4: had shoes on. I was trying to get him off.
[12:51] Speaker 1: That's the second time today Tricia has gotten a little
[12:53] Speaker 1: bit jealous about you with another woman.
[12:55] Speaker 3: She is dock and I'm jealous.
[12:56] Speaker 4: Yeah, big time hilarious.
[13:00] Speaker 1: That's that's your You're even like how you're smiling like
[13:02] Speaker 1: the freaking joker right now?
[13:04] Speaker 4: Yeah you are?
[13:06] Speaker 1: There is what's going on.
[13:07] Speaker 3: I am the least jealous person.
[13:09] Speaker 1: But that's the second time you've had to go at
[13:11] Speaker 1: Matte today about it.
[13:12] Speaker 3: I didn't you were waiting for me to have a
[13:14] Speaker 3: go earlier and you both went, oh, we thought you
[13:17] Speaker 3: were going to say something. I went why would I
[13:18] Speaker 3: say something.
[13:19] Speaker 4: There's a great photo I've got Trish here somewhere, and
[13:22] Speaker 4: when Cooper just saw the Trish was the joker. We
[13:26] Speaker 4: might just put this up in our social because.
[13:28] Speaker 1: She hates this photo photo.
[13:31] Speaker 3: Is it?
[13:31] Speaker 1: You're the one that dad You remember Dad used to
[13:33] Speaker 1: show it all. It's like he's party trick for a bit.
[13:35] Speaker 1: He pulled like everyone in and go have a look
[13:36] Speaker 1: at this photo of Trish. Just make everyone laugh.
[13:39] Speaker 3: At it is is me sitting on rock?
[13:42] Speaker 4: No, no, it's it's not. You know what, guys, I
[13:46] Speaker 4: will find it and we'll put it in our social
[13:49] Speaker 4: love to see it. There's two ones we used. One
[13:52] Speaker 4: is Dave Gleason because you went to school together, and
[13:55] Speaker 4: the other one is you do give a joker.
[13:57] Speaker 3: I'm gonna rea something about little we geez here sleep
[14:01] Speaker 3: in my lap with little Luigi. The Maria brothers thing.
[14:06] Speaker 3: But Luigi's brother has become available. Yea and the breeders
[14:12] Speaker 3: reached out to me, and there was a contemplation that
[14:14] Speaker 3: maybe would get Luigi's brother, would would be lovely in theory,
[14:18] Speaker 3: But like, it's double the work, It's double the poo,
[14:21] Speaker 3: it's double the pe.
[14:22] Speaker 4: It's double the love.
[14:24] Speaker 3: No, well, it's true, but it's also double the expenses.
[14:28] Speaker 3: And then it's double the look having someone because we
[14:32] Speaker 3: know we've got some trips away having someone look after.
[14:34] Speaker 3: It's harder to ask someone to look after. But if
[14:37] Speaker 3: anyone would like Luigi's brother and I can't even tell
[14:40] Speaker 3: you how adorable this guy is Chad Ash.
[14:46] Speaker 4: Kennels, yep, Okay. Do you know what I'm really disappointed
[14:51] Speaker 4: Trish when you go put a monetary value on having
[14:54] Speaker 4: another dog. It's like we had Jack and you go
[14:58] Speaker 4: like you're saying, hey, listen, let's you don't think about
[15:01] Speaker 4: having another child and will call a coop and you're going,
[15:03] Speaker 4: I don't think so more ship basically, you know, but
[15:08] Speaker 4: it's going to you don't put a monetary value on love.
[15:11] Speaker 4: Talking about Dark.
[15:11] Speaker 1: Pass, have you found it?
[15:13] Speaker 4: Is this joker lovely photo of me?
[15:17] Speaker 1: Do you think that's lovely?
[15:18] Speaker 4: Yeah?
[15:19] Speaker 2: I do?
[15:19] Speaker 1: You look like a Kendle?
[15:20] Speaker 4: Where is it, Jackie? What do you think is that in? Yeah?
[15:26] Speaker 3: I look nice.
[15:27] Speaker 1: I think that's a nice folk. Jack's riding mom today.
[15:30] Speaker 1: I think what I think that's?
[15:34] Speaker 3: I think that's I think I lovely. I'm very harsh
[15:39] Speaker 3: on myself I like that photo.
[15:41] Speaker 4: Let the listeners be the judge.
[15:43] Speaker 3: Oh I'm sorry, Mona, Lisa over there.
[15:47] Speaker 1: Everyone's ki Jack off, Dad knows how at all?
[15:50] Speaker 4: Words?
[15:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, Jack, guys, Jack, go easy on Jack today. He's
[15:53] Speaker 1: tired and he was trying to talk down and talked over.
[15:57] Speaker 1: I don't even know what I was going to say now.
[16:00] Speaker 4: Day.
[16:00] Speaker 1: No, I actually I have no idea what. It's probably
[16:02] Speaker 1: something shit.
[16:04] Speaker 3: Probably We've even named Luigi's brother Mario, so there would
[16:09] Speaker 3: be Mario and Lloyd Tris.
[16:10] Speaker 1: We know, we get it. It's to let it go.
[16:12] Speaker 4: I just want to could I just say this right mate?
[16:15] Speaker 4: We just spoke about the Titan before on Titans Time,
[16:17] Speaker 4: but it's time for Seagulls time. Congratulations boys with the
[16:21] Speaker 4: coaching team getting the stuy ball Manly team into the
[16:24] Speaker 4: Grand Finmal Qualifier.
[16:26] Speaker 1: Thank you very much.
[16:26] Speaker 4: With a team that just about awful local lads.
[16:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know the percentage of boys. There's about
[16:32] Speaker 1: seventy percent of them.
[16:33] Speaker 4: That is huge, about seventy percent of them.
[16:35] Speaker 2: Like, there's three blokes in our starting team team from me, well,
[16:39] Speaker 2: my local junior club Harbor Devil, save As Beva Menzies
[16:42] Speaker 2: and then we've got a couple of Narroween Sharks, a
[16:44] Speaker 2: couple of Hawks Hawks. Yeah, and then we've got a
[16:46] Speaker 2: couple boys from Para. We've got a couple of boys
[16:49] Speaker 2: from We've got a lot of boys from Narrowena.
[16:50] Speaker 4: Actually, So the dynamic, like so Jack, we do.
[16:53] Speaker 2: We do a bit of everything we know. We don't
[16:55] Speaker 2: really have a role each like Brad does. Brad's very
[16:58] Speaker 2: good at specialties on the edges, so like halves, full backs, halves,
[17:02] Speaker 2: outside back, outside backs, defensively an attack, and then Cooper's
[17:07] Speaker 2: very much like the overall attack, especially with the halves,
[17:09] Speaker 2: which is pretty important. And then me and Croaks do
[17:12] Speaker 2: a fair bit with the middles attack.
[17:14] Speaker 3: In who would you say would be head motivator.
[17:17] Speaker 1: Maddie Johns was this week Dad came in into the
[17:20] Speaker 1: finals talk talk.
[17:21] Speaker 4: Yeah, Dad was.
[17:22] Speaker 1: I've never seen fun Dad was. It was funny because
[17:25] Speaker 1: Dad was sitting there, came in to talk about like
[17:29] Speaker 1: the ninety seven Grand Final and rehashed some of.
[17:32] Speaker 4: Those stories and the narrative was bidding a team that
[17:35] Speaker 4: had the wood.
[17:35] Speaker 1: On you yes, correct, But the funny when he rocked
[17:38] Speaker 1: up it was funny because Twobs was there. Jeff Tuvey
[17:41] Speaker 1: and Dad like was like, oh, Twos isn't going to
[17:45] Speaker 1: be in this right because yeah, yeah, because obviously Twos
[17:48] Speaker 1: is like the head of the pathways at Manley. And
[17:50] Speaker 1: Dad was about to come in and basically just talk
[17:52] Speaker 1: about the manly side that they'd beaten. But Dad was
[17:56] Speaker 1: very passionate and then left him out on a high
[17:59] Speaker 1: and then went straight into his Thursday night show. But
[18:01] Speaker 1: the boys were right up for it. I never seen
[18:03] Speaker 1: him train as well as when Dad came in and
[18:06] Speaker 1: spoke to him.
[18:07] Speaker 4: It was made. I just made I did everything, mate,
[18:10] Speaker 4: I did the whole tricks. I got my wristwatch off
[18:12] Speaker 4: and just smashed into the ground. It's greshing. I went
[18:14] Speaker 4: up to the punching bags to laying a few in burpies.
[18:18] Speaker 4: Everything made. It was just. It was a sight to
[18:20] Speaker 4: be whole.
[18:21] Speaker 3: Can only imagine it certainly was mine.
[18:26] Speaker 1: Just letting people know we've just stopped the podcast and
[18:29] Speaker 1: sprayed each other for the last ten minutes because there's
[18:33] Speaker 1: been awkward pauses, there's been eye rolling, there's been huffing
[18:35] Speaker 1: and puffing.
[18:36] Speaker 3: There has yeah, and I don't like it.
[18:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's also come from you as well. I
[18:40] Speaker 1: didn't have roll your eyes.
[18:42] Speaker 3: Before No, I was just staring trying to work out
[18:44] Speaker 3: what was going on. Anyway, just forget you and let
[18:46] Speaker 3: think of it. Think about me now. I have been
[18:50] Speaker 3: taking notes a week now. It's a new segment Quote
[18:53] Speaker 3: of the week because this family is a gift that
[18:55] Speaker 3: just keeps giving. Now. The first one was me asking man,
[19:01] Speaker 3: I was about to head out the door to my
[19:03] Speaker 3: one of my favorite places, and I said, do you
[19:05] Speaker 3: need anything from Bunnings? And he looked at me like seriously,
[19:09] Speaker 3: as though he was actually contemplating if he did need
[19:11] Speaker 3: anything from Bunnings. And then we both sort of sort
[19:14] Speaker 3: of realized what I'd ask and both burst into laughter.
[19:17] Speaker 3: So I thought that was an absolute quite of the way.
[19:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, because obviously explaining it to people who don't know
[19:22] Speaker 1: Matthew that he's not handy, right, nor does.
[19:26] Speaker 3: He have you ever stepped into Bunnings? We took we
[19:29] Speaker 3: took Charlie there.
[19:30] Speaker 4: For I will say I was what I was contemplating.
[19:33] Speaker 4: I had a little bit of work doing the garage.
[19:34] Speaker 4: I want to file a few things down, so I
[19:36] Speaker 4: didn't know whether need to find file or a bastard file.
[19:39] Speaker 4: It's a bustard fine that's a really like rough one.
[19:42] Speaker 4: That's the heaviest one you can I was a storm, mate,
[19:45] Speaker 4: I was a storm and at the tafe.
[19:49] Speaker 3: Well yeah, and now poor old Jem Jack's girlfriend. I
[19:53] Speaker 3: think we've sort of infiltrate. Yes, corrupted is probably a
[19:57] Speaker 3: good word. So the other day she came out the
[20:00] Speaker 3: stairs night accidentally opened her Amazon parcel because I was
[20:03] Speaker 3: waiting for one too, and I was like, oh, Jem,
[20:05] Speaker 3: I'm so sorry I accidentally opened that. Oh no, she said,
[20:10] Speaker 3: did you see my double ended dilverdo?
[20:13] Speaker 1: I was like what she said one as well?
[20:17] Speaker 3: And I'm like And then Cooper looked and he came
[20:19] Speaker 3: and cuddlingly, he went, I'm so sorry about that, mum.
[20:21] Speaker 3: She's filthy. I was like, oh my god, we really
[20:24] Speaker 3: have what did.
[20:25] Speaker 1: You have to go with Jack about? I mean about
[20:27] Speaker 1: with Dad this morning? About Jam as well? Remember, and
[20:30] Speaker 1: I said save it for the potty.
[20:32] Speaker 3: The other day I heard them titter chattering and laughing downstairs.
[20:36] Speaker 3: I was upstairs working and what are they doing there?
[20:39] Speaker 3: Went downstairs. There is Matt holding a screwdriver. He'd been
[20:44] Speaker 3: assisting her her pulling apart the fan so she could
[20:50] Speaker 3: clean it. She was going to do it, and she
[20:52] Speaker 3: couldn't do it, and he offered to help. I was like,
[20:54] Speaker 3: are you joking me?
[20:56] Speaker 4: Passed it here. I've said this to you before. Sometimes
[20:58] Speaker 4: she just you've got to let me go. You go,
[21:00] Speaker 4: I just give it here. I'm telling you it is
[21:03] Speaker 4: a tactic of you to render me useless. Have these
[21:07] Speaker 4: massive panic attacks. You need to keep checking a passport
[21:10] Speaker 4: every ten minutes. We'll Coop has seen it, and Jack's
[21:12] Speaker 4: soon it when I go away. What they go? What
[21:15] Speaker 4: is the matter with you? There's always trouble with your mum,
[21:17] Speaker 4: and she takes the lead.
[21:19] Speaker 1: You never have to be independent, so you are very
[21:23] Speaker 1: not useless, but you just get worried about everything.
[21:27] Speaker 4: I don't prefer not to have the word useless. I'd
[21:30] Speaker 4: like to say, understated.
[21:31] Speaker 3: No, you have a choice. You have the choice to
[21:34] Speaker 3: be able to do things and do them, but you
[21:36] Speaker 3: choose not to because I'm there and I do them automatically.
[21:40] Speaker 3: I just do them because it's easier.
[21:41] Speaker 4: Stop trus for one second. I at times go say
[21:44] Speaker 4: to you stop, let me just do this, let me
[21:46] Speaker 4: just do it. So no, no, no, let me come
[21:48] Speaker 4: and just give it here.
[21:49] Speaker 3: And I yep, And then it's so much harder to
[21:52] Speaker 3: fix your mistakes.
[21:53] Speaker 4: Made mate, I know. Okay, next que you know what?
[21:57] Speaker 3: This week I wish that I had a PA because
[21:59] Speaker 3: I'm trying to changed one iPhone over to the other,
[22:02] Speaker 3: which I've done before and it's usually so simple. This one,
[22:05] Speaker 3: it gets to the last age. He goes out, update,
[22:08] Speaker 3: not possible. Okay. The next one was Cooper. We were
[22:14] Speaker 3: talking about some of our Vegas listeners that we've bumped
[22:18] Speaker 3: into a number of times. We've bumped into them very
[22:20] Speaker 3: every year in Vegas down here at the Colorroi and
[22:26] Speaker 3: then they were up in the Dog Goes.
[22:28] Speaker 4: Other day the lunch American friends.
[22:30] Speaker 3: Yeah, and I said, oh, what's his name again? And
[22:34] Speaker 3: Coop goes, oh, isn't that Linguini or Luigi or something.
[22:38] Speaker 3: I went what and then and I went oh Alfredo
[22:42] Speaker 3: and he goes, oh, Yeah, I knew it was a
[22:43] Speaker 3: bar stack because his name is Alfredo. Alfredo and winning.
[22:47] Speaker 4: Elfredo boom boom boomlred a type of pastor.
[22:52] Speaker 1: It's a type of.
[22:57] Speaker 3: Put in their scar and Bolanese.
[22:59] Speaker 1: Paul, we got to get you to do like five
[23:03] Speaker 1: minutes of stand up.
[23:05] Speaker 3: So I remember I did about two minutes. A few
[23:09] Speaker 3: years ago, it.
[23:09] Speaker 4: Was very good.
[23:10] Speaker 2: I think I think true. I think he means like
[23:12] Speaker 2: at an actual yes, in a room with people yes,
[23:15] Speaker 2: like a comedy club.
[23:16] Speaker 3: My memory is not that good.
[23:19] Speaker 4: We should remember.
[23:19] Speaker 1: It'd be funny.
[23:20] Speaker 4: I look past in Cape Town, South Africa, and there
[23:23] Speaker 4: was this comedy club in Cape Town. I thought the
[23:25] Speaker 4: South African accent would not lend itself to stand up comedy.
[23:29] Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
[23:30] Speaker 1: What's that got to do with this very serious accent?
[23:33] Speaker 3: Well maybe I could do it in my Irish accent.
[23:35] Speaker 4: Please, you know what?
[23:36] Speaker 1: No, but I want our listeners. We might even like
[23:38] Speaker 1: do a poll and it forgets what if what percentage
[23:43] Speaker 1: of people if our listeners voted, would get you to
[23:46] Speaker 1: do it? For the listeners?
[23:48] Speaker 3: Just you do the poll?
[23:49] Speaker 1: But what percentage I'm saying.
[23:51] Speaker 3: I want you to would say?
[23:53] Speaker 1: Yes, you're not understanding what I'm saying, right, So what
[23:57] Speaker 1: percentage of our listeners if they voted on a pole
[23:59] Speaker 1: that we put up a social media would I do it?
[24:01] Speaker 4: Yes?
[24:02] Speaker 3: Eighty five percent?
[24:04] Speaker 4: Send it in people sand them in and the next
[24:07] Speaker 4: where should be the venue? The comedy club?
[24:08] Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure you won't get that.
[24:11] Speaker 4: I reckon. I could I reckon. We could bump a
[24:14] Speaker 4: venue our friends at the Colorroi and say, listen, can
[24:17] Speaker 4: we do a bit of a comedy night? Would even work?
[24:21] Speaker 3: Yeah, you'd need somewhere distant.
[24:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, there's there's a comedy club in like Mossman where
[24:26] Speaker 1: they do public ones.
[24:27] Speaker 4: You can go in and do it Mossman Comedy Club. It'd
[24:29] Speaker 4: be like, Okay, what did they do with the ferrari?
[24:33] Speaker 1: Wh what's the deal with caveats?
[24:39] Speaker 4: Small eggs from a fish the spring water fifteen dollars?
[24:43] Speaker 4: The other day it was happy Oh, by the way, the.
[24:46] Speaker 1: Fish is less expensive and then they ship it out
[24:49] Speaker 1: and the caviar is more expensive. What's the deal with us?
[24:52] Speaker 4: You know the peasants actually wipe their backside with paper
[24:55] Speaker 4: as opposed to burdeau. Good day, I have a fun
[25:01] Speaker 4: little we get a bidet.
[25:03] Speaker 3: By the way, No, I want one of those Japanese toilets.
[25:08] Speaker 3: We've got to redo Coopers on sweet and he's I'm
[25:13] Speaker 3: thinking Cooper of getting the one that has the dryer
[25:16] Speaker 3: for your bottom. The squirter.
[25:19] Speaker 4: I love the squirter racing for Coopers right on the
[25:23] Speaker 4: h Honestly, yeah, but it just when we're away.
[25:30] Speaker 1: It's such a it's a great way to save pain.
[25:33] Speaker 1: Toilet paper, you just wash it and then you just
[25:36] Speaker 1: need to dab a dry.
[25:38] Speaker 3: Blow dries, blow dries.
[25:41] Speaker 1: The Japanese little lips that just came out, you know,
[25:46] Speaker 1: the old when you do like when you're sitting on
[25:48] Speaker 1: the toilet, and then like you hear the and then
[25:51] Speaker 1: the old kiss of death when it just splashes up
[25:55] Speaker 1: and just gives you a little kiss, gives you a
[25:56] Speaker 1: little little touch on the bottom of the It's the worst.
[25:59] Speaker 1: It's the worst feeling. I don't like.
[26:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, i'd hate to have balls.
[26:04] Speaker 4: Thank God, you're going to cut off when you're.
[26:07] Speaker 1: Okay, I got I got a little I got a
[26:09] Speaker 1: thing for us. It's a scenario.
[26:11] Speaker 3: Oh I love it.
[26:12] Speaker 1: So everyone get involved. So you basically what happens is
[26:17] Speaker 1: you're being chatted. You get ten million dollars, but you
[26:21] Speaker 1: have to pick one animal that chases you for the
[26:23] Speaker 1: rest of your life, and if it touches you evening
[26:26] Speaker 1: you sleep, you die instantly. Okay, what animal are you choosing.
[26:30] Speaker 3: I'm choosing a dog, and I'm choosing this dog because
[26:34] Speaker 3: if I'm going to die, the last thing I'd like
[26:37] Speaker 3: is to be kissed by him.
[26:40] Speaker 1: But the point of it is to be not touched.
[26:42] Speaker 4: Ye, not touched.
[26:43] Speaker 3: That's very It's an exhausting life to be chased by
[26:48] Speaker 3: just start.
[26:49] Speaker 1: Her brain just doesn't think like any normal human.
[26:53] Speaker 4: I would say, I wouldn't get turtles relentless, they don't
[26:57] Speaker 4: move quick, but they mate the old tortoise in the head.
[27:00] Speaker 4: It'll get there. I would say a sloth.
[27:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good one. Yeah, a sloth. I mean,
[27:08] Speaker 1: initially I want to say a snail, but then I
[27:12] Speaker 1: also think if I stay out of the ocean, maybe
[27:15] Speaker 1: I go like a like some sort of fish, you know,
[27:18] Speaker 1: like a puffer fish or something like that. But then
[27:21] Speaker 1: then one time, when I just go and duck into
[27:23] Speaker 1: the ocean, if it happens to be there.
[27:24] Speaker 4: I think it has to be a land of animal.
[27:26] Speaker 1: Well, I sort of made the rules. I don't really
[27:28] Speaker 1: want to understanding why it changed now.
[27:30] Speaker 4: Which is just the rules. Otherwise open, it's a free
[27:32] Speaker 4: for all. People say, goldfish and things.
[27:34] Speaker 1: Like that ain't going to happen, bro, But would you
[27:37] Speaker 1: take something that is not native to where you live,
[27:39] Speaker 1: Like would it be like a penguin, something that can
[27:41] Speaker 1: only like an emperor penguin that can only really live
[27:44] Speaker 1: in like the Antarctic.
[27:45] Speaker 4: Why do something to fly? Then? Why don't do something
[27:47] Speaker 4: that's natives?
[27:48] Speaker 3: Oh my lord, you guys are killing PEngs.
[27:51] Speaker 4: Don't fly?
[27:53] Speaker 3: No, they don't flightless bird flightless?
[27:55] Speaker 4: Really?
[27:56] Speaker 3: Yeah, penguin? When have you ever seen penguin?
[28:00] Speaker 4: But how does a penguin? They swim migrate and.
[28:04] Speaker 3: They swim swim and you didn't you watch the movie.
[28:07] Speaker 2: But they can move fast man in the water.
[28:08] Speaker 1: Can they streamline and they dance? Yeah, that's its animated.
[28:17] Speaker 3: JACKO, what animal would you choose?
[28:19] Speaker 2: Probably like like an old ridge back or something like that.
[28:21] Speaker 2: When of them old dogs, it sits on a.
[28:22] Speaker 3: Porch, a ridge back they chase they were trying to chase.
[28:28] Speaker 2: Like you know, the old ones just sit there on
[28:31] Speaker 2: the porch looking at all sad faced.
[28:32] Speaker 4: But you can't you can't specify agele would be good
[28:36] Speaker 4: like that, Jack, But I don't.
[28:38] Speaker 2: Put words in my mouth. I'll go with let's go
[28:41] Speaker 2: with the mer cat.
[28:44] Speaker 1: Then, oh, I like fast too. They're nippy.
[28:47] Speaker 2: Then they're not covering great distances, charismatic, it's cute.
[28:52] Speaker 1: About me cats. So when you go to the wrong
[28:55] Speaker 1: bazoo or any zoo that has meer cats. If you
[28:57] Speaker 1: go and have a look, they've got like a hive
[28:59] Speaker 1: and they burrow sort of underneath, and at all stages
[29:02] Speaker 1: they have one mere cat who's always on watch for
[29:04] Speaker 1: a bird. So they one of the main things, like
[29:07] Speaker 1: eagles will come and take them.
[29:08] Speaker 3: Oh is that right?
[29:09] Speaker 1: So they always have a mere cat. And even at
[29:10] Speaker 1: the zoo a Toronto, where there's no like eagles going
[29:13] Speaker 1: to come and destroy them, but there's just people out there.
[29:15] Speaker 1: You'll always see there's one that's always on watch. Sleep
[29:18] Speaker 1: out of the barrow light.
[29:20] Speaker 4: Yeah up, he just.
[29:21] Speaker 1: Now he stands on top of the borrow and just
[29:23] Speaker 1: watches like that and just watches like that.
[29:25] Speaker 3: I haven't think.
[29:26] Speaker 4: You see a goose fly and they're flowing an arrow
[29:29] Speaker 4: and they all share the load because the one at
[29:30] Speaker 4: the front he's cutting the air and now there's the
[29:33] Speaker 4: stream and they rotate.
[29:35] Speaker 3: Just geese, it's other birds too, isn't it.
[29:36] Speaker 4: Yeah, But generally geese was a strange one. Cover. All
[29:40] Speaker 4: birds do do that.
[29:41] Speaker 1: They all sit in that in that v in the v.
[29:44] Speaker 2: But even ducks cover what they call that in the
[29:46] Speaker 2: Mighty Ducks Brother.
[29:48] Speaker 4: They do Jack and they and they hear them squawk
[29:51] Speaker 4: and what that is the ones at the back encouraging
[29:53] Speaker 4: the one at the front. Is that right? Yeah? They
[29:56] Speaker 4: are living creatures. Yeah, they they've got their own form
[30:00] Speaker 4: of intelligence.
[30:03] Speaker 1: Do you know it's weird that some told me through
[30:04] Speaker 1: the week. I don't know if you know this. So
[30:07] Speaker 1: you know when you went to Dana White's house and
[30:09] Speaker 1: he showed you the blueprint for the White House White
[30:12] Speaker 1: House card?
[30:13] Speaker 3: Is that Dana?
[30:13] Speaker 1: Yeah? Apparently you were the second person only after Donald
[30:19] Speaker 1: Trump to him to show that. Did you know that?
[30:22] Speaker 2: No?
[30:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, someone at the UFC told me I saw him
[30:24] Speaker 1: like maybe last week and they said yeah, they said,
[30:28] Speaker 1: they said, Donald Trump he'd showed he was shown that
[30:31] Speaker 1: by Dana White the week before, and your dad was
[30:33] Speaker 1: only the second person he showed it to.

[30:43] Speaker 4: Lord of the White House.
[30:44] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's cool.
[30:45] Speaker 4: And I've never been to Washington. People listeners out there, listen,
[30:48] Speaker 4: know what do I have to see Washington just like
[30:51] Speaker 4: the Canberra of like strike.
[30:53] Speaker 3: No, they say it's actually really interesting to see incredible Washington, DC.
[30:57] Speaker 1: Like they just have like quest on that's it.
[31:00] Speaker 4: Incredible stuff there, incredible history, very much.
[31:03] Speaker 3: We're going forward to it because you guys looking forward
[31:05] Speaker 3: to the next White Lotus. It'll be later this year.
[31:09] Speaker 3: I think they're filming it shortly. Do you know where
[31:12] Speaker 3: this time? Take a pick where you think?
[31:14] Speaker 1: France?
[31:15] Speaker 2: Yes, in France?
[31:17] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, and.
[31:20] Speaker 4: Down South beautiful Darling.
[31:22] Speaker 3: And some of the cast members they've got. They've got
[31:24] Speaker 3: some big names. Heather Graham, Rosie Perez, Helen and Bottom
[31:29] Speaker 3: for a.
[31:29] Speaker 4: Second, Heather Graham, she was roller girl in Boo Nights.
[31:33] Speaker 3: She was Steve Coogan, your man Alan Partridge.
[31:39] Speaker 4: What the cast really got up and pressed.
[31:41] Speaker 3: They have Alan Partridge, Christmasina. Do you know who he is?
[31:46] Speaker 1: Steve Cogan will be good? Sorry, yeah, you know what's weird?
[31:50] Speaker 1: So I thought, obviously he has the character of Alan Partridge.
[31:53] Speaker 1: I thought his name was Alan Partridge, the guy.
[31:57] Speaker 4: He thought that was Alan Partridge, that was his most
[32:00] Speaker 4: famous character. And then bring extended. Well, I think he's
[32:03] Speaker 4: great in twenty four Hour Party People, in a number
[32:06] Speaker 4: of movies. He's really coming to prominence. He's actually last.
[32:09] Speaker 3: Do you think he's interesting?
[32:11] Speaker 1: Do you think Alan Partridge is more famous than Steve Coogan.
[32:14] Speaker 4: No, in the in the UK, I would say, yes, yeah,
[32:19] Speaker 4: the rest of the world know.
[32:20] Speaker 3: He's done a lot about the movie.
[32:21] Speaker 2: Definitely Listen to his last podcast he did with Luis
[32:24] Speaker 2: Theroux about a month ago, and he I'll tell you what,
[32:28] Speaker 2: Old Steve Coogan's got a little bit of dark meat
[32:30] Speaker 2: on him, I reckon.
[32:32] Speaker 4: Yeah, it was quite dark when he was talking about
[32:35] Speaker 4: Alan Parttery. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[32:38] Speaker 2: But he was he was. He did like he could
[32:41] Speaker 2: slip in and out of character. But yeah, the actual
[32:43] Speaker 2: bloke Steve Coogan, you can tell there's a little bit
[32:45] Speaker 2: of Yeah, yeah, there's a dark meat. Yeah, it's definitely
[32:48] Speaker 2: different with Alan Partridge's a lot of actors like that, though,
[32:51] Speaker 2: is the dark side of their personality?
[32:53] Speaker 4: You're like activity, You're a lot of comedians.
[32:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, I wouldn't say Dad's a comedian, so I'd say
[32:59] Speaker 1: he's one of those light and bubbly personalities.
[33:02] Speaker 4: I'm always up.
[33:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but it's just hard work. He's just yeah,
[33:06] Speaker 1: you are.
[33:08] Speaker 3: You've noticed it. Now that you're in the environment a
[33:11] Speaker 3: lot more, you can appreciate what I manhandle. Yeah, hand
[33:20] Speaker 3: there's a handling having to go show.
[33:22] Speaker 4: Them around and handle letting you know, going forward to
[33:26] Speaker 4: and then pretty soon we're going to have a sequel
[33:28] Speaker 4: of Gas and Gale John's yeah as well.
[33:32] Speaker 1: People keep asking.
[33:33] Speaker 3: They wanted to give the people what they want.
[33:35] Speaker 4: And actually we're going to go up into their territory
[33:38] Speaker 4: this day. Yes, we're going to actually go up to Cessno.
[33:40] Speaker 1: Into childhood home. They're still in the same place that
[33:43] Speaker 1: you grew up in. Absolutely exciting they are.
[33:46] Speaker 4: It is exciting.
[33:46] Speaker 1: You haven't been back there in a while.
[33:49] Speaker 4: Occasionally they've had a bit of difficulty up there, which
[33:51] Speaker 4: you want to go into there, but but you haven't
[33:53] Speaker 4: been back there. No, I haven't had been a little
[33:55] Speaker 4: bit of a little bit of time. So yeah, I
[33:57] Speaker 4: look forward to and Gale.
[33:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, most of the times would be hung he'll probably
[34:01] Speaker 1: be hung over.
[34:03] Speaker 4: We'll get there at ten am in the morning. He'll
[34:04] Speaker 4: go right it wants to be.
[34:08] Speaker 1: Do you think it's weird that there still hasn't been
[34:10] Speaker 1: like a pure hangover cure created. No, I don't think
[34:14] Speaker 1: that's weird.
[34:15] Speaker 3: Or drinking alcohol is poisoning your.
[34:16] Speaker 1: Body, I know, but I would think that given all
[34:20] Speaker 1: our advances in medicine and how long alcohol has been
[34:23] Speaker 1: around surely they would have found some sort of thing
[34:25] Speaker 1: that is that really suppresses the effects of.
[34:28] Speaker 4: Let's hang out, let's scale of back. Do you know
[34:31] Speaker 4: what what causes a hangover?
[34:33] Speaker 1: It is it's your liver process in the alcohol.
[34:37] Speaker 4: Exactly, the end zymes that releases to process the alcohol
[34:42] Speaker 4: or now to recover and to push it through so
[34:44] Speaker 4: that you know what they say, the hair of the dog. Yeah,
[34:46] Speaker 4: the hair of the dog works because what it does
[34:49] Speaker 4: is when you drink again and trying to get over hangover,
[34:52] Speaker 4: it takes the attention over releasing the enzymes to get
[34:54] Speaker 4: over the hangover and starts processing alcohol again. It's the
[34:58] Speaker 4: enzymes that produces they're basically trying to recover from.
[35:02] Speaker 3: So is this the justification for alcoholism?
[35:05] Speaker 4: Well, I suppose if it's a circle of life. Who
[35:08] Speaker 4: told you that, don't listen to it on podcast?
[35:13] Speaker 1: I don't need that's living throw the one.
[35:16] Speaker 3: Who did the manphere. Interesting guy.
[35:21] Speaker 4: He's very very, very clear, so dry. He's so dry
[35:24] Speaker 4: and unassuming, and he just gives the people's enough rope. Yeah,
[35:29] Speaker 4: that just he lulls them into a sense of security.
[35:33] Speaker 4: But he's awkward. I like him.
[35:34] Speaker 3: He's awkward, and that is why I think people find
[35:37] Speaker 3: him non threatening but then just tie themselves in little
[35:42] Speaker 3: knots any more quotes my quote this let's tips. Okay, well, Cooper,
[35:48] Speaker 3: you've still holding your lead. You've got four right. Last week,
[35:52] Speaker 3: Matt you've joined me. You only got three right? I
[35:54] Speaker 3: got four right? Twenty eight one last week?
[35:58] Speaker 4: No, no, no, did anyone tip last.

[36:36] Speaker 1: I will go. I'll go many yeah.
[36:38] Speaker 3: Okay, Well I'm the only one going cow So I
[36:40] Speaker 3: hope they win a stream ahead Raiders Storm. I'm going Raiders.
[36:43] Speaker 4: I'm going to Storm.
[36:45] Speaker 1: I'm going to go Storm.
[36:46] Speaker 3: You don't think they can.
[36:47] Speaker 2: I'm going to go Raiders. I think the Raiders can
[36:49] Speaker 2: upset the Storm.
[36:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's a tough game. Imagine Storm lose
[36:53] Speaker 1: five and a.
[36:54] Speaker 4: Right Raiders are the storm. Oh rights on the Storm?
[37:00] Speaker 3: Yeah, Raiders.
[37:01] Speaker 4: Sorry, sorry, I just.
[37:02] Speaker 3: I like it. You should pass it on to Fox
[37:06] Speaker 3: uses Primo Dolphins versus Penrith.
[37:09] Speaker 2: I'm going was actually that was actually funny, fortrition.
[37:11] Speaker 1: That actually was good. That was that was actually quite good. Yeah,
[37:14] Speaker 1: it's also like, great, Trica, that's your best one of
[37:16] Speaker 1: the days. Let's stop and sit in that moment and
[37:19] Speaker 1: just give her around the pause for a second.
[37:22] Speaker 4: Type writers finally typed the.
[37:23] Speaker 3: Word, Okay, Dolphins and Penrith. I'm going Panthers, Uh, Panthers, Yeah, Panthers, Panthers, Okay, Warriors, Titans.
[37:34] Speaker 4: Titans, Titans, Time, Titans, Titans.
[37:37] Speaker 3: Good Lads, Rabbit Doors and the Dragons.
[37:41] Speaker 4: South's Rabbits, Rabbits South South.
[37:46] Speaker 3: Surely, Tigers Broncos. I'm going to Tigers. I think they can.
[37:49] Speaker 3: I think they're really up.
[37:51] Speaker 4: I'm with you, Trish. They've got some keyme in out
[37:52] Speaker 4: the Broncos and they've got their tails up the Tigs.
[37:56] Speaker 1: Where's it at?
[37:56] Speaker 4: Does it say?
[37:58] Speaker 3: I'm imagining it's yeah, Well, Tiger is a home.
[38:01] Speaker 2: Team Campbelltown yet because they've been telling able to stand up.
[38:04] Speaker 1: Do you see that Cameratown, Yeah, it's Cambletown.
[38:08] Speaker 2: So no, because they want to increase the capacity of
[38:10] Speaker 2: the ground, but they can't if people get there early
[38:12] Speaker 2: and obviously you know, put like a big put their
[38:16] Speaker 2: blankets down and stuff like that, so they can't increase
[38:19] Speaker 2: the capacity. So they're asking people on the hill can stand,
[38:22] Speaker 2: so then they can increase the capacity of people around
[38:25] Speaker 2: because obviously they had a good atmosphere. But it's going
[38:28] Speaker 2: to be you can't really ask people to stand, like
[38:30] Speaker 2: I'm sure there's going to be. Yeah, kids and older people,
[38:32] Speaker 2: you've got to expect them to a long time. Yeah,
[38:35] Speaker 2: it's a long game.
[38:36] Speaker 4: Jackie used to happen at Newcastle when there was only
[38:39] Speaker 4: one grand stand and it was hill all around. In
[38:41] Speaker 4: the really big games, what would happen. They would encourage
[38:45] Speaker 4: the elderly people who would sit and kids go up
[38:47] Speaker 4: to the top part of the hill. People standing down. People.
[38:53] Speaker 1: So do we all go to I went tigers, Wigs.
[38:55] Speaker 4: I went tigers too.

[39:24] Speaker 3: separate myself from your pig book.
[39:26] Speaker 4: Yeah. Nice.
[39:27] Speaker 1: Before we round up, right, I just want to, let's say,
[39:30] Speaker 1: because I would say, of all the potties we've done
[39:32] Speaker 1: this year, I would say this was this was the worst.
[39:35] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[39:35] Speaker 3: I didn't like it.
[39:36] Speaker 1: I didn't like it either.
[39:37] Speaker 3: I didn't enjoy.
[39:39] Speaker 1: We were at each other's throats. So what what do I
[39:42] Speaker 1: want to do at the end of every party? Now?
[39:43] Speaker 1: Just like a video session, a team environment, we give
[39:46] Speaker 1: each other feedback and we raid each other out of
[39:48] Speaker 1: ten and where we can get better.
[39:50] Speaker 4: I love it.
[39:51] Speaker 1: I'll start with you, Matthew. First of all, you came
[39:54] Speaker 1: in late writing your article. You did zero preparation. Agreed, Yes,
[39:58] Speaker 1: you did say you're in a crew aative mood. Yet
[40:00] Speaker 1: I didn't see it. I didn't see the creativeness.
[40:03] Speaker 4: So the creativity is my writing, right right?
[40:05] Speaker 1: Well, I will give you so in that sense, just
[40:09] Speaker 1: a little more preparation next time.
[40:10] Speaker 3: Okay, thanks, because mine is my delivery. I know I'd
[40:13] Speaker 3: work harder at at Cooper like I did all the work.
[40:16] Speaker 1: I just see people are going to say delivery and
[40:20] Speaker 1: jack attack. Just a better night's sleep, Just probably a
[40:23] Speaker 1: better night sleep.
[40:24] Speaker 3: Attitude, be better, be better on sleep. People killing me.
[40:30] Speaker 3: You guys, hope your family is better than mine.
[40:32] Speaker 4: See you
